Failed compressor on a 4 year old Kenmore Elite French door refrigerator. I
Failed compressor on a 4 year old Kenmore Elite French door refrigerator. It was manufactured by LG and sold by Sears Canada. Of course I purchased the extended warranty which is now null and void after having been underwritten by now defunct Sears Canada. LG Canada basically told me to go ** myself. I am Horrified that I spent 4000$ on an LG refrigerator and LG won’t step up to make this right given the known issue of compressor failure. The repair bill is estimated to be 1000$, which I cannot afford. I’ve had to purchase an inexpensive used fridge and move a basically lightly used top of the line refrigerator to storage in hopes that LG may step up and do what is right. It is untenable that consumers are being exploited in this way and treated with such a lack of care or concern. I am thoroughly disappointed and will be pursuing every avenue to see my money returned. So far, LG has proven they are driven by profit - they are knowingly selling defective appliances to consumers. I recommend that folks avoid LG manufactured products and spend their money on appliances that are manufactured by reputable companies that will stand behind their product. Compressors should last 10-20 years. 4 years??! They are defective and LG needs to own their mistakes.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model # LFXS29766s and an LG double oven stove on 9/3/2016 after the salesperson raved about the quality and reliability of LG’s appliances. On the evening of 8/22/2019 the refrigerator failed (just shy of the 3 year mark). The freezer started to defrost and the ice makers stopped working. By the next morning the refrigerator had stopped cooling and food was found at room temperature. Everything was tossed. A claim was filed through Home Depot (where product was initially purchased with a 5 yr protection plan) and was then forwarded to LG. I was informed on Monday 8/26 by an LG manager that there is no local service department in my area and that service was scheduled through a subcontractor (A&E Service) with the soonest availability being 9/17/2019 (3 weeks out) and that they had no one else that would/could service the refrigerator. They said they could escalate to 9/9/2019 but that is the very best they could offer which is still 2 weeks. The LG manager I spoke to said they would reimburse me up to $200 if I bought a mini fridge to hold us over. I already have a mini fridge and it isn’t suitable unless I plan on feeding my family cereal for the next 2 weeks. We need a functioning refrigerator ASAP and if I go out and buy a new one I’ve basically just thrown away the $2,442.00 I spent on this one. Now we sit here, stuck with a faulty refrigerator, no food in the house and we’re expected to wait weeks for a resolution. This is not acceptable.

Our upside down fridge has been tremendous with inky 2 exceptions. The door trays are too flimsy, even though I do not load them with too heavy items. The freezer baskets allow things to fall through or get caught. The baskets need to be of a solid material and not open weave.

I chose to purchase an LG refrigerator over other brands because this brand had what I was looking for at the time. LG has met my expectations. I would still consider purchasing an LG brand, but I would consider getting a different style. The features that I like most about the refrigerator is that it has a built in freezer, as well as an ice dispenser and water dispenser. I like to be able to have my fridge produce ice rather than going to buy ice or having to make it with a tray. The features that I dislike about the refrigerator is that after a while, the freezer component becomes very noisy when you open it. Another feature that I dislike would be that the ice dispenser becomes very frozen and the ice gets stuck together and I have to break off the ice pieces individually.

Purchased model LDE3035SB on 10/27/14. On around the 23rd of Feb (2015) I decided to do the easy clean on my upper oven (this is a double oven range) since it wast that dirty to require the self clean cycle. When it finished I had to wipe the bottom out because there was still water in the bottom. I was about to put the rack back in when I noticed something that I thought was food in the back right corner. I tried to hand clean but it would not clean. I rubbed my fingers over and felt that about a half dollar size section of the enamel was gone. Called LG and they said they would send a repair person out at our expense. We had not used this oven much because we had been gone over all the holidays and could not do much cooking in Jan. because we were having it remodeled and only did toast or baked potatoes or something simple. When the repair guy came out he told me I was pushing the rack back too far and said that LG would not cover anything like this because it was considered cosmetic. We asked if it could be repaired and he said no. We contacted LG and were told they would not do anything about it but for us not to use the any of the self cleaning cycles. If this is true and the blue enamel is only cosmetic, then why cant we use the cleaning cycles. We even went to Lowes to see if they could get something done.... they were told the same thing. Funny thing I was recently told by 2 different appliance repairmen do you know what LG really means when I was asking about my range.... It stands for Lousy Goods. It is only a little over 4 months old and I wont be able to use my self clean. When it gets to filthy, we will toss it and a new rage but not a LG. $1,300 down the drain.

I have had an extremely unsatisfactory experience with my 5 year old LG front loading washing machine. In the beginning it was a mildew odor in the unit. Did a few loads with bleach and wiped around rubber sealant weekly. The clothes do not seem clean to me. I have adjusted the water levels, amount of detergent, the cycle is way over an hour and the results are not good. The control panel shut down and now I have to spend $500 to replace it. I would never recommend this product.

I purchased an LG refrigerator February 2008, French doors with bottom freezer. I had issues almost immediately, but were resolved under warranty. However, it took 2 weeks for the parts to arrive. Since the warranty expired, the plastic liner of the right door that has knobs to hold the door racks have broke; the door seals are tearing, there are cracks everywhere on the internal plastic liner; the catch for the top freezer tray broke off. This product is literally falling apart. We have contacted LG about some off these issues, but the response has been you are out of warranty and the repairs are on you. What a great company! Never buy an LG refrigerator.

I purchased a home which included appliances including my LG bottom freezer refrigerator (model number LRDC22744TT) this time last year and moved in in August. An internal leak developed in the refrigerator compartment, which was discovered to be a broken reservoir that feeds the water dispenser in the door. The reservoir was replaced by a local serviceman. Here 6 months later, the new reservoir cracks, clearly caused by defect in the component. Their response? Out of warranty. No replacement. LG (or NG, as I now refer to them) and I (and anyone else on Earth that I can persuade) are parting ways.

I spent $2000 on this front loading brand new LG wash machine. I bought this machine in July 2016 - delivered in September 2016 - power stopped in February. LG sent Precision Television (took a month) with a new brain. They put the new brain in - guess what - worked for about a week. No power again. I had electrician come out - nothing wrong with my power. Called LG again - sent me to Appliance Doctor. They do not call back. Had to write to LG again and complain. I wish for a Samsung like I had before. These people need to give me my money back.

I bought the LG LSXS26326 refrigerator in the 2015 with a 10 compressor warranty. The compressor failed 2021. When I contacted LG I was told by LG that they do not have service techs in the area. Three week wait just to get a third-party service company to do diagnostics, then the part can be ordered, which has a 3-5 business day turn around time. Multiple service companies refused to do LG service work. The LG service website lists available service providers in the area, but upon contact they all stated they no longer support LG warranty or service work. I will never buy another LG product.

I chose to purchase LG because I love LG products. They were the first to be innovative in my eyes and expanded theirs products from phones to refrigerators. Their designs always look so modern and sleek unlike other brands. I loved how big the refrigerator was and how many things you can fit inside and still have space. Also its reliable and lasts and look nice. Easy to move and assemble and everything like that. Also looks great with my decor. But I dislike the price of the refrigerator, it seems to me like it wasnt really worth the price that I had paid. I feel like it should include more things and maybe more shelves but works like it should and gets the job done.

My wife and I had higher expectations on the model and make. We thought that being a LG model and the new concept of front loading that the clothes would come out cleaner. As far as water consumption no complaints and the company is in the right direction on that topic. But for tumbling of the clothes to get them clean, I think that we need to get back to the drawing board. And as for the quietness of the machine no complaints, either very quiet especially for a washer.

I was happy with the young man that repaired our refrigerator. He was professional and completed his work within a timely manner. I was disappointed in LG for not trusting me, I told the lady the compressor was not running. The fan and lights were working, just not the compressor. The temperature in the refrigerator was 65 degrees plus. I also told her I had heard the compressor running loud a few days before and now nothing. If the lady at LG had trusted me, the part could have been ordered and here or with repairman when he arrived here the first time and I could have my refrigerator repaired and running a week earlier. I am all not happy that repairs had to be done within the first few years of owning it. I understand that this is a regular occurrence on refrigerators now. Disappointed in the integration of the companies putting in place planned obsolescence. I have a 25 year old refrigerator that is still running and has never had repairs done to it. The big profits for the companies, is not good for the consumers or the landfills. I am thankful for the warranty that did cover the parts and the lady at LG for covering the labor repairs. I am just sorry that I have to be without my refrigerator for a extended period of time.

Our refrigerator died right before the warranty expired ($3000 unit!). We have been 3 weeks without a fridge, lost hundreds of dollars worth of food, and are CONSTANTLY having to call customer service to get something done. The local repair service they sent out could not fix, yet I received an email from LG stating that it was fixed, and to take a survey. We speak with someone daily, and now just want them to get this POS out of our house and refund our money. So, even though they have ALL my info from registering the product.... I had to send them receipt copies. And THEN I get a return email stating, Unfortunately, I am away from my email right now, but I will reply as quickly as I can. This was less than 5 minutes after we spoke with her. After reading reviews, I wish I never bought this fridge. It looks like we will have to contact the BBB, and perhaps a lawyer. Will also be contacting Home Depot (where we bought it). DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS! Unless you like getting the runaround.

We bought the latest LG washer (WT5070CW) and dryer (DLGX5171W) that have the glass doors. BIGGEST MISTAKE. I used to have the GE washer and dryer, basic machines and they did a far superior job. Unfortunately it broke down and hence I had to buy a new pair. GE/Maytag/Whirlpool are the only brands with good household appliances. If youve never used a good machine before youd never realize. My clothes arent clean enough. High Efficiency is crap. It uses very little water to evenly wash clothes. I got over that hump by trying different options. Yet its very rough on clothes. It also takes VERY long to wash. My old GE took only 45 mins to do an excellent wash. The same now takes 1 hr 47 mins! The dryer doesnt dry fully. Works ok only on small clothes like small towels etc., things like bed sheets dont dry evenly. Large loads irrespective of the size of the garment dont dry evenly. I gave 1 star because its required. Its not worth any.

We bought our top loading washer from Home Depot about 4 years ago. Thank goodness we invested in the extended warranty at the urging of the Home Depot salesman. I am sure he had heard many complaints about this brand. We had the washer less than a year and the drum broke. It took more than 11 days to get the washer fixed. I have 6 kids. Think of the laundry! Nightmare! The customer service could care less that having a broken washer was a huge inconvenience. Also, what does that say that MANY people were having issues with their machine and the wait list for service took 2 weeks?Fast forward 1 year and now we are dealing with a broken pump and the washer will not drain. We are on day 14 with a broken washer. The part has been ordered but LG did not rush it so we are literally at the mercy of freight shipping. We still have those 6 children. Laundry = Nightmare! Aside from the mechanical failures, the washer does not get our clothes as clean as our old, top loading washer that we had for 18 years. We often have dark brown mold splotched streaked across our clothes, sheets and towels. I bleach a lot and the musty mold is still an issue. I am continually cleaning the mold from the rubber seal. This is an awful appliance. Very disappointing! It is an expensive piece of junk. I do not recommend anyone purchase an LG washer unless you are a glutton for punishment.

Bought a top of the line LG washer. Washes regular loads of clothing well -- HOWEVER -- do NOT plan to wash sheets or mattress pads! No matter how I balanced the load, the machine cannot get through the spin cycle. This morning, I have taken some out (that didnt help) -- added the removed blanket back (that didnt work - no matter how I repositioned the items) -- put the first piece back and added additional sheets, hoping that would enable the machine to spin (nope - still wont spin!) I replaced my older Maytag front loader with this LG one and am SOOOO sorry we did! Please pay attention to the other reviewers advising against purchasing one of these LG washing machines! They are not exaggerating! This is a nightmare! LG serviceman could not help -- told me to only place items that fill the washer 2/3s full. When I called for service, cant remember which problem it was, there are more, was told they wouldnt come out because they were having a problem getting paid from LG. Great! Call back in a month or so, well see if they are paying their repair bills! Ok! Called LG for another extended warranty, they said no. I certainly hope that anyone who has a desire to purchase an LG front load washer reads all of these negative comments. I wiped out the inner rubber gasket. I could hardly get my finger inside of it and out came globs of black mold. I continue to run bleach through the machine as well as the fresheners that are recommended for front load washers. In life, you have large purchases that are life events: new home, car, and appliances. From day one back in 2008, from when we purchased our LG fridge (LFX2590TT), we have had nothing but problems.Water leaked and cracked the line on the back of the fridge (caused damage to wood floors). The deli drawer slide cracked and broke off. Water leak was repeated; the service repairman fixed the line and then the line cracked above the repair. The ice-maker freezes up and we had to turn it off to thaw. Water leaked again; the service repairman fixed the line and then the line cracked above the repair (third time). The replacement slide was broken (again). We do not over-load this drawer. Its all plastic crap and has a very poor design. The water line leaks inside the fridge. We gave up and turned off the water dispenser/ice-maker. Then the top of the vegetable/fruit drawers cracked.LG made it on my speed dial. After too numerous to count service calls and being long out of warranty, we have given up. When you buy a $2,400 refrigerator, you think it would work (completely) longer than 2 months. I will never purchase any LG products and I advise others to do the same. They make garbage and when it comes down to it, they just dont stand behind their products. In reading all of these reviews, you would think there would have been a recall, but theres none. Dont buy LG.

Our LG dishwasher has never (since the day we had it installed) cleaned our dishes or dried them. I first noticed that after carefully rinsing all residue off my dishes, they still were dirty after running them through the normal cleaning cycle. I then washed my dishes and started using the power scrub feature every time and noticed the dishes had either food or soap reside on them and were never hot or dry after the washer stopped. I have to pre-wash everything I put into it and wipe off the soap afterward even though I use Jet-Dry. My dishes are barely warm when the 2-hour power scrub cycle is finished. I called LG support and after several questions, I realized that the customer service rep was going through a checklist in order to troubleshoot the root cause of the problem. She asked if I had cleaned the unit by the manual instructions to make sure there was no food debris clogging (YES). She asked if I used the proper detergent and if my washer actually had power to it (Yes and yes). She asked if I used the power scrub feature. She wanted to know if my dishwasher was connected to my garbage disposal? She said I had to check the line to make sure it was clear, but she told me that there was no way for me to do that other than looking at the line - REALLY? She told me that I obviously needed a technician to come out for the price of $85.00 to diagnose and probably more than $250.00 for parts and labor. She also told me that I could not talk to a technician or anyone else other than her over the phone.Weve had nothing but trouble from our LG refrigerator as well - having had to replace the water line 4 TIMES before the fridge actually stopped working and then had to pay LG for a new motherboard. I will NEVER again buy another LG appliance. Customer service is POOR at best and appliance functionality is a joke.

I purchased this Truesteam dryer in February 2017. Since the first day I used it I received a D90 message. My clothes did not dry. It took several hours just to dry towels. My house is new construction so there is no way I have lint buildup and blockage in my vents. I called LG and demanded someone respond to check my dryer just for them to tell me it was fine and working. My clothes still take hours to dry and my gas bill is ridiculously high due to the hours I have to spend drying one load. My dryer is under warranty and yet they do nothing to fix the problem. Will not ever buy and would never recommend LG products to anyone. Total rip off. I am going to continue to contact LG until my clothes dry properly. With LG products, life is not good!

My LG washer dryer combo, stackable, is nothing short of fantastic. It uses a small amount of water to do a really good job of cleaning my clothing. Not only every day clothing, towels, sheets, blankets and jackets. The machine is extremely quiet and has many features that allow me to tailor the machine to what I am washing. I have never owned a front loading machine before and this one has served me extremely well for the last 15 months. I always leave the door open and I’ve never had any kind of an odor issue. I have read where some times washers will develop that even when the door is left open. That has not been a problem and I do not anticipate it will be a problem. I expect my LG is still going to be serving me well in another 10 years.

I’m writing about my disgusting experience with LG in regards to my washer WM4370HKA. I’ve had issues that started only within months of the purchase of this brand new washer. And the first technician that showed up was in DEC of last year, replaced parts and several weeks later the issue occurred once again. Repeatedly my washer doesn’t complete cycles and gets stuck with soaked laundry. It doesn’t clean properly and the clothes never come out smelling fresh. December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, I’ve had more than 3 technicians come to diagnose and attempts to fix the issue. They say they will be calling me back to replace parts but no one does. The issue is still ongoing and LG is denying me any service and has not agreed to my request for a replacement. I’m now ashamed to say that almost all my home appliances are LG because this type of service or lack of, shouldn’t happen. They don’t make you feel like a person, and they will do anything to deny you service. They don’t want to acknowledge that the machine is faulty. 1500 dollars and not even 6 months and it’s giving me hell.

The good part about LG is that they do try to present a customer service initiative to folks who post on social media. Sadly, it is a hollow effort. As anyone can read on this site, the response is either a really poor AI or worse, a person who types the same thing. Buying a $2,000+ refrigerator that makes excessive noise is unarguably a significant issue. LG claims this noise is normal, and I dispute that. Compressor noise that can be heard in other rooms is not normal. While LG did send a technician out to assess this issue, that was inconclusive, and the best LG can offer is to send another one out. But if the noise - the worst Ive experienced with any refrigerator for decades - is considered normal, why bother. When buying an LG refrigerator, be sure to buy the retailers extended warranty that allows a return after 3 (or whatever) attempts to repair.

In 2006, my husband and I purchased all new LG appliances from Home Depot and paid for the 4-year extended warranty. We have the WM2077CW washing machine, LFX25960ST French Door Refrigerator, DLG3788W Dryer, LDF6810ST Dishwasher and LRG30355ST Gas Range. We have had problems with every single appliance, have had the extended warranty repairs done on each one, and continue to have problems. The latest is the washer has stopped draining and the drain pump motor is broken. Our warranty expired on 14 Apr 11 and both Home Depot and LG will do nothing. The refrigerator is now leaking water all over our kitchen floor, and the knobs on the gas stove are cracked again--they have been replaced twice already! Please do not purchase anything from LG! I know we should have been worried when the washer broke the first week we got it home, the dishwasher leaked and the refrigerator water dispenser has never worked properly, even after multiple service calls. Even the extended warranty hasnt saved us from having to replace parts that arent covered. I wish we never bought LG, and Home Depot hasnt stood behind them.

On December 18 the appliance repair company said one of the parts had to be ordered because the LG warehouse did not have the part. Over 2 1/2 months have past and still no parts. Have contacted LG, the repair company and purchasing company (Home Depot) for help to be told parts are on order. It is not my overall first choice and I prefer other brands over it. I have not owned an LG in a long time. It met my initial expectations but I was not overly impressed or surprised but how well it performed, etc. It was very large and made of stainless steel and had wired shelving inside with different compartments for veggies and fruit and an attached freezer on top. I did not like the wired shelving units and the handles on both the top and bottom were easily unattachable which made opening and closing it difficult. I also did not like the color but that is more for aesthetic purposes.

We purchased the front load washer and dryer in December 2010. The pretty red ones! What a mistake! Actually, no problems with the dryer, except it doesnt seem to dry as well as it did in the beginning. I always have to add a click or two to the automatic dry time. The washer broke this June 2011. We had Geek Squad come out, it took four weeks for them to get back to replace the drum and three other pieces that attach to the drum. Four weeks! Then it broke again six weeks later. Same thing, we tried to get Geek Squad out again and they are so hard to work with to schedule a time. They should realize people have jobs! I called Best Buy to get help and they gave me LGs direct line. She was very helpful and friendly. But then the service tech called and his first words were, Do you agree to pay for this service call? and told us it was not the drum, it was a shock absorber. He hadnt even been to the house! He just told us this by the description. He wasnt coming out until we agreed on the phone to pay for the service call. Forget it. We are going to buy a new washer tonight. It will not be an LG. Such a hassle and disappointment, $1000.00 wasted. Pretty red machine...too bad it is a piece of crap!

I bought LG Tromm set washer and dryer on 10/12/2006. The washer has been a constant problem, and currently, I have been without the use of this machine as it has been waiting for parts. A service man came today to do the repairs (2 weeks without the parts) and found that the drum is bad and stated the machine is junk.I am with American Bankers on an extended warranty that expires today, and I now must wait even longer to see what they are going to do about this machine. The drum has created holes in the front assembly of the machine, and there is even a chance that they do not even make the parts any more. I feel that they need to do something immediately as we have waited long enough for the parts, and now, there are more issues.I would never buy appliances from a store that does not provide their own service contract as that seems to be what is causing such delays in this issue. Why pay good money for the machine and more good money for the service contract, only to be sitting and going on 3 weeks with no washer and no one contacting us to tell us what they are going to do about this issue? This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned, and I will never buy another LG product.

In late June 2012, we got an LG/Kenmore french door refrigerator. On 9-6-12, the error code FF appeared on the display. After calling Sears, I was told the freezer fan needed to be replaced and it would take 7-10 days for the part to arrive at my house. In the meantime, the ice maker doesnt work. This was unacceptable and we decided to return the refrigerator rather than wait for a part on a less than three-month-old appliance. After checking online, it appears that other people are having the same error code with LG and Samsung refrigerators. Consumer Reports rates them high, but I will not be buying another LG or Samsung.

We purchased an LG French Door, bottom freezer and all the other LG matchin
We purchased an LG French Door, bottom freezer and all the other LG matching products in advance of moving into our new home. Refrigerator, Double Oven, Cooktop, Dishwasher and Microwave. This last Fathers Day the refrigerator did a meltdown during the festivities. By the time dinner was over, so was the refrigeration abilities of a 2 year old $2500.00 appliance. We had purchased a 5 year protection plan. We called the Home Depot with all the paperwork, account, model numbers in hand. After the typical automated system trying to get you to do everything on-line we were finally in contact with someone who pretended to be interested. After the painful research in order to verify our warranty, the finger was pointed at LG. During the transfer to LG and pushing all the buttons to get me to the right department, someone eventually picked up the phone and hung up on me. Back to the Home Depot warranty line, wading through their automated phone system and again on line with a human who gave me more information that was neither warranted or needed, told me that LG would have it fixed in 24-48 hours. I was happy for the moment. Finally, again through the automated System and long wait “because of the virus” I got to speak to someone who again had to verify the existence of our warranty. Oh boy, this is how I wanted to spend my life! I explained, the purchase, warranty, model number, code inside the door, yes it was plugged in, yes the light came on, yes the ice maker had no ice, no there was no cold air when I opened the doors and no the water dispenser was not providing cold water. Yes it was really broken.Three days later, an appliance center 50 miles away called in a very non-English speaking voice called me to confirm that I “had a refrigerator LG that is not working and can be repaired” Yes she did say “refrigerator LG”, if I set an appointment and paid for the repair at the time of service and would have to call LG for reimbursement after the repair. This offer and the person didn’t sound like a viable and credible situation. I asked if they were following up on my Home Depot Claim... no answer.I called Home Depot, went through the automated system again and they said to stay away from this offer and wait for LG To call. And they were so interested, they assigned a “case manager” to my claim, oh boy. My “case manager” called, we went through the whole story, again, and she assured us that she was “on the case”.Two days passed, the mysterious appliance repair shop left an automation voice mail, “We can fix your refrigerator if you call us and authorize us to order the parts. The parts will take about a week to arrive. We can then set up a service appointment”. We called our “case manager” went though another automated system asking us if we would rather find what we wanted “on-line” waited and finally got a real person. Asked for Ashley to which we got silence and “do you know what department she’s in?” More time another explanation of the story and then finally Ashley’s phone rang, and rang and rang and then Ashley’s electronic explanation of how to use the Internet to get answers and how to leave a message for her and she would call right back. She did, seven hours later. She then came to the realization that we had lost all of our food, drinks, and no refrigerator at all! For the last six days. It’s Friday night, but before she goes home for the weekend she’s going to “send an email to our local Home Depot to see if they can let us borrow a refrigerator on Monday” Assuming that we can easily do without a refrigerator til then. I asked if this week long period was typical of the wait for service? She said “unfortunately this isn’t very long at all, it may take weeks”. Tomorrow, Sunday, will mark the seventh day of eating out, buying bags of ice for the milk and juices and regretting we were so naive to spend more money on a warranty, and NOT to go through the product reviews posted by others.

Bought the LG washer from Lowes and for a few days it worked OK. It then started to vibrate across the floor in our laundry room. We called LG and they sent out a repairman and repaired the washer. It worked for about two loads and then vibrated again. Two different companies came out 4 more times to repair it over the next 3 months. None of those times did they fix the unit. After the 5th time the washer vibrated and flooded out laundry room. We called up LG again and they said they would issue a full refund. The next day we went out and bought a Maytag washer with zero issue so far. To get the refund LG gave us a case number and a link to upload our proof of purchase. After not hearing from them for a month we called them up and said they have no record of them saying we would get a refund. Their customer service is a joke. They claim they have no record of 3 of the repairs and no record of saying they would refund the money for a lemon washer. I spent almost $3000 on my fridge in Jan. of 2015. Last week it slowly stopped cooling, we didnt notice at first and then last Friday I realized it was barely cold. Started checking all the food and most was bad. We hadnt been home much so I looked in the freezer for the first time in a couple of days and everything was defrosted. Had to throw away 3.5 trash bags of food. I called LG, they gave me a authorized tech to come look at it, which he did on Friday. Did the unplug thing, wait hours and nothing. He came back on Sat. to tap the system to see if Freon was leaking - we only had 25% Freon running through the fridge which could also mean the compressor is bad as well. This tech was leaving to go on vacation, I decided I couldnt wait a week for him to come back so called LG to get another techs #. Tech 2 came out yesterday and discovered Tech 1 had illegally removed the tap after performing the Freon test and Freon had been leaking out of my fridge for 4 days! He also ruined whatever it is you connect the tap too. Tech 2 said now all my hoses are contaminated and this fridge will be a nightmare to repair, he probably will even decline the job because it could possibly mean weeks of having to come back on multiple occasions to get it fixed. Tech 2 called LG while here, documented everything with their tech support, pictures, videos everything. LG has extended the warranty for us but now they want us to have a 3rd Tech come out, has to be specific one and this company cant get out until the end of next week, we have already been extremely inconvenienced without a fridge for a week and now they want us to wait another week to get the 3rd authorized tech before they will proceed??? I called Tech 2 again today and he said he doesnt understand, he was already here yesterday, he is an authorized technician for LG and he documented everything, there is nothing else for him to do. Just today alone I have logged 8 calls with LG, takes an average of 7-10 minutes just to get where you need to be. If you want to talk to a supervisor they say one will call you back in 30 mins., over an hour later Im calling them back because I have not received a call from a supervisor. At this point Im getting upset and told the supervisor I just need a new refrigerator and her response was well thats not up to you. Very dissatisfied with the runaround Im getting from LG, I bought 4 appliances from them in 2015 and will never buy another one because of their antiquated customer service system. Also, should I be contacting the EPA, is my fridge still leaking Freon but LG says thats ok and just wait another week?? At this point I have lost two days of work, probably about $400 of food and my stress level is through the roof!

Poor quality and terrible customer service. We purchased new refrigerator one year ago to go in vacation home. After 6 months of light use, compressor on ice maker went out. Have been trying to get it repaired since February to no avail. Custom service at LG is a total joke! They keep saying they have contacted a repairman but I never hear from the person and when I try to call repairman, I get an unidentifiable voicemail and my calls/messages are never returned. Four times, I have asked LG to contact a different repair person, but they keep calling the same guy back. They are now hinting that my warranty is close to lapsing, but I have been trying to get the repair completed since there were four months left on the warranty period. If you want aggravation in your life purchase LG, if not, purchase Sub Zero or KitchenAid. Ive owned both and never had a problem.

I did manage to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to the house on Monday, 7-13-15 between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Total time on the telephone service call was 58 minutes and 44 seconds.7-11-15 Called the service center again and had to explain everything that I explained twice the night before. After requesting to run the “Smart Diagnostic” I was placed on hold then performed the diagnostic. After a delay they informed me that the diagnostic did not come through and we had to do it again. Once that went through I asked what it showed and was told that they did not know, that someone from the technical staff had to review it. They told me that they could schedule a technician to come out to the house on Tuesday afternoon on 7-/14/15 but there would be a $120.00 service call charge plus the cost of any parts. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and they asked me what that was about. Finally after going back and forth with them I was placed on hold for about 12 minutes before a supervisor identified as ** came on the line. She asked what the problem was and then placed me on hold while she brought up my file on her computer. That took another 5 plus minutes. Finally after explaining everything to her about the previous night and current call she placed a one-time extended warranty on the unit and gave me an authorization number of: **. She advised that she could get a technician out on Tuesday afternoon 7/14/15 and when I told her that I had one already scheduled for 7/13/15 she confirmed it. This call was then terminated after 58 minutes and 11 seconds.7-13-15 Contacted by service technician at 3:12 PM who advised that he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. He asked what I thought was wrong with the unit and I replied that I thought that the compressor had gone bad. I explained the temperature readings and the noise it was making. He stated that if it was in fact a bad compressor that he could not fix it today as he did not have one with him and would have to order one. He arrived at 3:38 PM, removed the lower back grill panel to access the compressor and noticed a lot of dust on the evaporator coils. I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He went back out to his truck to get his gauges and checked the compressor which he determined was bad. He advised that he was fully booked for tomorrow, Tuesday, 7/14/15 but would press his schedule and plug me in on the end of the day. He departed at 4:04 PM advising that he would call when he was on his way out to replace the compressor. 7-14-15 Around 1:23 PM service technician ** called to advise he was on his way. Compressor delivered via FEDEX this afternoon and left at the garage door. Technician arrived at 1:30 PM, completed compressor swap and departed at 3:30 PM.06-04-16 Noticed that items inside the refrigerator were not as cold and normal that that on several occasions milk and dairy products were spoiling before the “Best if Used By” dates. The inside temperature of unit felt cool and not cold. Placed thermometer inside the refrigerator portion of the unit and began taking readings. Also noticed that freezer unit was not as cold as it should be also. Placed thermometer inside the freezer unit and began taking readings as well. Temperature settings on the panel are set the same as the technician left them on his last visit on 7/14/15. Refrigerator set to 34 degrees and freezer set to -1 degrees.06-05-16 At 9:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type thermometer and freezer showing 5 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 3:00 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 9:30 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 46 degrees on a dial-type dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 7 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-06-16 At 10:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 11:32 AM called LG toll free number (800-243-0000) received recording and sent link for self-diagnostic. Performed self-diagnostic as per link and advised to contact LG repair at (866-558-2559). Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 6 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 12:10 PM called LG toll free number and automated system advised they would call back within the next two hours. At 12:15 PM was connected to a Customer Service Rep in the Philippines. I requested several times to be connected to an American Customer Service Rep in the United States but was told three times that there were no US representative at their location. After my fourth attempt I was placed on hold. At 12:18 PM the Philippine rep came back on the line and advised that they did not have a US contact number. I requested to speak to a supervisor and when queried as to why I explained that I wanted to speak to a US rep and that her service center should have a number. She put me on hold again. At 12:21 PM she came back on the line to advise she will transfer me to a supervisor. At 12:27 transferred to ** in the Alabama office. After trying to explain my issues with her she placed me on hold several times explaining they are using new software programs and have glitches. She is trying to plug in the extended warranty on the unit. She returned on the line to advise that she had scheduled the technician ** to come out between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM under Authorization Number **. She further advised that this authorization included the service call plus parts and labor. ** also provided a direct number to the Alabama Service Center at **. The telephone contact was terminated after 50 minutes and 47 seconds at 1:00 PM.06-07-16 At 11:15 AM received call from Service Tech who advised that he would be out within the next 15 – 30 minutes. He arrived at 11:35 and performed a refrigeration pressure check on the system. He stated that it appeared there is a leak at one of the coil joints where the copper joins the aluminum. He indicated that the High Side pressure dropped 30 psi with no movement on the Low Side and that indicates a leak somewhere in the system. He further stated that much drop could indicate only a ½ charge or less of coolant presently in the system. He explained that there was a company issue with ordering parts to have them overnighted to the customer. Lately the parts have been shipped to him which delays service. He stated that the parts he needs will be overnighted to me and should be here NLT 10:30 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8th. He has scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 1:00 PM just to be safe and at present he only has one appointment for tomorrow. If I receive the parts tomorrow morning I am to give him a call and he will work me into his Wednesday schedule. He indicated that the job would take several hours to complete (Of note: He asked me if I was removing the rear access panel to blow out dust and vacuum the coil area. I told him that on 7-13-15 I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He told me that he did not say that, that he highly recommends the customer remove the rear access grille and try to blow out the dust and debris, then vacuum the debris up, just being careful not to get near the vanes or coils.). After placing the order for the parts to be shipped/overnighted here he departed at 12:05PM.06-08-16 At unknown time, received call from Service Technician to advise that the FedEx tracking indicated that the parts he had ordered had arrived. I confirmed that and he indicated that he would be arriving sometime around 11:00 AM. He had ordered both a refrigerator coil and the freezer coil which had arrived and be commenced disassembling the inside of the refrigerator to swap out the refrigerator coil which he felt had a small leak on one of the connections. After steaming ice off of the end or the coil he replaced it with the new one. He then checked the pressurization on the lines and said that he was satisfied with the as it did not appear there were any leaks. After checking other things in the unit he packed up and departed advising that he would check back to see how the unit was performing.06-09-16 At 8:52 AM received a call from Service Technician, who was checking on the performance of the unit. I advised him that it did not appear to be cooling as he had predicted, that the freezer was in the teens and the refrigerator in the lower 40’s. He advised me to keep a check on it and he would schedule me for the first of the week. 06-12-16 At 3:14 PM received a call on answering machine from Service Technician who advised that he has me scheduled for Tuesday, 6-13-16 between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.06-13-16 At 2:07 PM received a call from Service Tech who advised he would be here within the next 10 - 15 minutes to check on the unit again. He arrived at approximately 2:25 PM and proceeded to first blow out the dust that had accumulated under the unit and on the coils which was minimal. He then began to test the system refrigerant and determined that it was not up to capacity. He then vacuumed the lines and added some additional Freon. He advised that it appeared that there was a little water in the line which he was able to purge. He indicated that the unit should work fine at this point with the cooling in the refrigerator set to 34 degrees and the freezer set to 0 degrees. I told him that I would continue to take temperature readings in both the refrigerator and freezer and if I noticed them not performing I would call him and let him know. After about 1 ½ hours of work he departed.06-14-16 At 8:53 AM received a call from Service Technician asking how the unit was performing. I texted him back at 11:39 AM advising that the refrigerator was at 37 degrees and the freezer was at 9 degrees. At 12:15 PM Service Technician called again to advise that he had mistakenly had a parts order sent to our house and wanted to know if was OK for him to come by and pick it up. I advised that it was not a problem. He asked about the refrigerator and I advised him that I would continue to monitor the temperatures several times during the day and evening for the next few days to see if the system performs as expected and would advise him of results. He advised that he will continue to check up on it and would be calling periodically. On 05-24-17 we returned home from an extended vacation to discover that the ice maker was not producing ice. Door was dispensing water but there was no ice in the door-side ice maker and therefore nothing to dispense. On 06-05-17 At 12:18 PM I contacted the Executive Offices in Alabama at ** to explain the issue I was having with the ice maker not working. The person I spoke with, whose name I failed to get, advised me that she would give me the number of the local service center to schedule an appointment for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. There would be charges for the technician to come out, charges for the diagnostic, charges for parts and labor since the unit was past its one year warranty and had already been given a one- time courtesy and she was not going to issue another one. I was basically out of luck but could get it fixed through the technician with service call charges plus parts and labor. While the service technician was very personable and professional, that is the only thing good I can say about me experience with this company. The technician even told me on several occasions during his visits that the parts i.e. compressors, etc were inferior and the technicians were having all kinds of problems with them. With the experience that I have had in dealing with this company, I doubt that I will every purchase anything else with the LG label.

Bought LG dish washer Oct 2018. 6 months in, it would not power on. After a month, repair was completed... that night it flooded my kitchen. That was Five (5) months ago. Since then they made a repair for the leak (I waited 2 1/2 months for the 3 parts) but repair did not work. Once again the dishwasher flooded my kitchen. I have been without a dishwasher going on 5 months now. Have been unable to get a straight answer from LG. I understand appliances might have problems —what I don’t understand is LG’s absolutely horrible customer service. They are rude, don’t give you straight answers, say they are going to call back and don’t. One rep told me they don’t replace a unit just because it happens to be a lemon! Do yourself a favor —- stay away from anything LG!

Never... Ever... Never will I buy another LG washing machine it is terrible. It constantly gives a UE message even though the machine is level and we have done all the tricks that others have suggested. My water bill is high because the machine continues to fill and spin... fill and spin. You cant leave the house when washing clothes because you need to babysit the washing machine. It is the worst machine ever. I will never buy another LG product because of it. We will have owned it 2 years this coming June. It was been completely replaced once. Computer board replaced once, and worked on three additional times. NOT ACCEPTABLE. DO NOT BUY LG.

Purchased a $1500 5 burner range (gas) late Nov 2013. Was delivered and installed December 2013. Used the cook top, but not the oven until Christmas. Christmas day dinner was ruined due to oven not functioning properly. Took twice the time to cook as it should have, nothing browns, everything looks anemic. Called Home Depot and got LG certified tech information. First visit January 2014, next 2 visits included 2 new sensors and a control board. Still does not work properly. Multiple calls to LG, and was promised that after 3 visits and 3 parts replaced it was deemed a lemon and would be exchanged for new range. Never happened. 10 months and 8 tech visits later, and I still dont qualify for exchange/replacement. Executive services is useless. Adrienne (the supervisor of all supervisors) asked for receipt and invoice to be faxed for the resolution team. Faxed immediately after conversation and one week later was told I STILL dont qualify for exchange or refund. When I asked her what does qualify she said, as an LG customer you are on a need-to-know basis. She refused to tell me! I have not encountered ONE LG person who has been helpful or even nice. I will soon be replacing all 5 major LG appliances with Samsung. NEVER WILL I BUY LG AGAIN. Luckily Home Depot has facilitated this interaction and I am now getting my money back. Home Depot customer service is AMAZING.

I have a LG microwave model SolarDOM. It was not working. Called the technician. Opened the oven and looked at it. Thats all he could do. He was not competent or trained to do more. Asked to take it to LG service center in Trivandrum, India. The technician in the center dropped the oven. Called me to pick up the oven. When I took it home, the front glass was again broken. They didnt say a word. I recommend not to buy LG products in Trivandrum, as there are no honest customer service centers.

I purchased a refrigerator 6 years ago, but in the last 3 years we have had the compressor go out and LG tech has had to replace it. Since June 2021 Ive had 4 tech come out and my unit still does not cool to the temperature its suppose to be. Ive only had 2 good customer service experience. I have noted the agent and time that Iven call. No one has no clue what they are doing or review any notes that I requested to be added to my account. Ive asked 4 times to speak to a Supervisor and Im still waiting for a call. After 3 months, they determined I could get a refund for a % of the cost (which Im fine with) or repair it again and going forward my warranty would be up and the repairs would be my responsibility. Meanwhile all the techs said this is going to go out again because they had issues with this model.I accepted the refund - Im still waiting for that too. All the advertisements and sites are all false - LG does not stand by their products and definitely does not care how the consumer. I just want a refrigerator that works. After all I did not get it free. I paid almost $4,000.00 for it. As far as a call center they need to hire new people, their customer service skills are extremely unacceptable. That includes supervisors and managers.

I wanted to let everyone know that there is a class action lawsuit for the refrigerators with the light not going out. It has been settled. Our four-year-old refrigerator (LG Refrigerator Model No. LCF25760SW with French doors) is having ice maker problems too. There are no repairmen in our area. It leaked water out into the floor while we were at work and caused floor damage. I ordered another ice maker from someone that LG recommended. It still has problems. Home Depot is where I bought it, but I cant get them to give me a repairmans phone number either. I will never ever buy another LG product again as long as I live. If you live in the middle of nowhere, dont buy LG products! They are not worth the price at all or the trouble.

Out of warranty, 3 year old top of the line all stainless unit (3.7 cu. ft. capacity), now water temperature goes up to 98 F at most during all wash cycles. A Sears’ contract proved no better. The Sears tech put in a new heater unit, it made no difference. Even though the water is tepid at best, the worker from Sears says it is working fine and he sees nothing wrong with the machine until a month ago. I got nice hot water when I washed my clothes. Now, I have to settle for tepid water or cold.

My wife and I purchased a new 30 cu.ft LG French door refrigerator Feb.15th 2015. Within 6 months we had a defrosting problem, service man came out. A few months later same problem except worse. MELTED AND SPOILAGE. Service man came out. Kept replacing the same part. Now I must have LG EXTENDED WARRANTY, A LG CONTRACTED service man came out, he was saying NO its a compressor. He came out again. HE TOLD THEM ITS A COMPRESSOR. They thought they (LG) knew better. Finally a LG Co. Repair man came out, with a compressor. Problem solved. Each time I called for service IT WAS 2 WEEKS before it was put in, even though it was not right. The last time it was 3 weeks but problem solved. I had to purchase another refrigerator, NOT A LG. It is performing great. A GE, I HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE THIS LG for about 12 WEEKS because of being ordered and BEING WRONG part. The customer service IS SO BAD. Then, the last time LG service came out, I was charged $395 because the ext. warranty had expired. My purchase date from SPENCERS APPL. Feb.15th 2015, $2750.

We purchased a brand new LG washer and dryer from Home Depot in November 20
We purchased a brand new LG washer and dryer from Home Depot in November 2011. As soon as we started using the washer, we noticed water was leaking from the bottom of the machine, which several months later caused heavy damage to the drywall and created black mold. Initially we contacted LG in November and a technician was sent to our home three times; however, they couldnt identify the problem. First, we were told that the sensors had to be replaced and then the machines had to be replaced. However, LG doesnt replace products, they try to fix it. It wasnt until June 2012 that we noticed there was mold on our baseboard. This has caused major stress on us since we have a newborn. We called an environmental company to come and inspect the wall and test the air in our home, which cost us $450, and LG still refuses to replace the washer and dryer. The problem with the dryer is, if you place comforters or a heavy load, it shuts off without finishing the complete dry cycle. I constantly have to check the washer for leaks and turn on the dryer every time it shuts off. I cannot understand how brand new machines cause so much trouble. We explained this to LG and they said they can only send a technician to correct the problem. So far, the technician has come twice this month and it still hasnt been fixed. I cannot understand how this company cannot replace defective machines. This is horrible customer service. We are disappointed and will never recommend nor purchase any LG products again.

My husband and I bought this dishwasher last May 2015 NEW with the fridge and stove. This dishwasher is probably the worst dishwasher ever!! Its the model with the 3rd rack, sounds convenient right? Wrong!!! It sucks, yes I can put knives and silverware on the top row but it leaves very little space for your glasses. So any glass taller than 6 inches does not fit!! Which means they have to take up space on the bottom rack or Im forced to hand wash! Now the bottom row... The lines that are suppose to hold the dishes do not stay standing up. The silverware basket is in three sections that is suppose to lock to together, it falls apart if you just put a fork in it. The large bottom rolling basket is constantly coming off the tracks! It takes 2 1/2 hours to run a normal load and an hour to run a quick load. The quick load does do a good job and usually have to rewash items. I hate this dishwasher and the only place it belongs is in the trash dump! WARNING DO NOT BUY IT!!!

We called LG directly because our 2-year-old French door refrigerator was icing up in the back of our refrigerator. They diagnosed the problem and told us the evaporator fan needed replacing. Even though the fan was supposedly under warranty, we were still quoted a price of $358 for the service call. Our credit card was charged upon placing the appointment with their service department, but nobody ever called or showed at the appointed time. We called LG customer service the next business day only to be placed on hold and after being told they were checking it out, they never came back on the line!!! Will never buy another LG product. Still trying to get our money refunded.

The saga of the LG refrigerator: 11 months ago we bought an LG refrigerator
The saga of the LG refrigerator: 11 months ago we bought an LG refrigerator. When we came back to town the refrigerator had broken and everything in freezer was defrosted. We had to throw away hundreds of dollars of food. We contacted Costco concierge who contacted LG. This is where the fun begins: LG referred us to a repair company that had gone out of business, but we were told we had to wait 48 hours for them to contact us. Then we were given the name of another company several hours away from us who called us right back stated that a part had to be ordered and received before they could fix it. This was done without ever evaluating the problem. When the part arrived several days later, we were told we now had to wait several more days before someone could come out and install it. After the part was installed, we were told to let them know if the refrigerator hadnt cooled by the next day. It had not. They need several more days before a repair person could be scheduled to come back. The person came back and was not qualified to fix the problem - LG had referred us to a company that was not qualified to do repairs! After 6 hours on hold over two days between Costco concierge, LG customer service, and LG resolution department, I asked for a new refrigerator because we were told the next repair company could not come out to even look at the refrigerator for another week! In the mean time we are living out of a cooler trying to keep my husband fed with a special diet to deal with his throat cancer. I was assured by someone in the Resolutions department that our request was expedited, but it was not. We are now told that they have a week to decide whether to give us a new refrigerator or continue to draw out repair on the current one after initially telling us we would hear by the next day. When calling again today, the date given by LG of when they will respond has been moved back yet again. So that 3 weeks out we still are no closer to a repair.

Purchased fridge 1/1/2016. After 3 months we had to have it repaired because ice was forming on fan, they also had to evacuate the system and add freon. Took a few weeks for that repair. At 7 months old it stopped cooling (compressor went bad). Lost $250 worth of food. We had to use one of their authorized servicers due to the warranty and it took 2 weeks for a repair. Almost 3 years to the day after having replaced the compressor, it went bad again. The part is covered, labor is not. It will cost me $300+ for the repair and another $200+ for spoiled food. I should not be spending this kind of money to repair a $3000 refrigerator after only 3 years and 7 months. I have read numerous reviews and this is a very common issue. There have been several class action lawsuits and apparently LG is aware of the subpar performance of this appliance, yet still sells it.

I rarely give bad reviews but my experience has not been so good dealing with LG. On 2016 I purchased a gas double oven range for $1,600.00 and also purchased a 5 year warranty with it. Well a few weeks ago my stove top kept shutting off on its own while I am using it and would make a sound as if it was about to explode to the point it shook my oven twice in the process while I was standing in front of it. It scared me, I called the Home Depot protection plan and explained to them what was happening. I filed a claim on August 6, 2020. They sent me an email stating that my service appointment has been accepted, I received a text on August 14, 2020 stating that the technician will be there between 9am/4:pm.The day that they were supposed to come we get a call from the company that was supposed to come out to fix it that they are not coming because they do not service our area and that I need to call the Home Depot protection plan back. I called them the same day and told them what I was told and they told me they would look into it and let me know once they find someone that can service my area. When they didn’t call me I decided to call, Almost two weeks went by nothing so I called again and they had the nerve to tell me that it’s showing that I canceled the job, which was a lie. I was not happy but I kept my cool and they finally found someone to service my area and told me that they would be there on August 25th, 2020 between 9am/5:pm.Once the technician arrived he looked at it and told me he had to order the part and I will get a call when they will come to replace the part. Two or three days after the technician came both of my oven stopped working so I called them and told them that and asked them if they were going to send someone out to look at it since it is a different issue, they told me no and that the parts that the technician is going to replace should fix the problem. Mind you they didn’t even know what the issue was, anyway On September 11, 2020 the technician came to replace the part, I told him, Well the oven is not working and I was told that the part you are about to replace should fix that issue. He replied, I am not quite sure if it will because I don’t know what the issue is but I will take a look at it after I install this part. Guess what? It did not fix the oven part of it so now he had to order another part. On September 18,2020 the technician came to replace the part for the oven, once he replaced it the oven was still not working, the technician told me the oven cannot be fix and that there is no parts to replace that he will go to his truck, call the office and let them know that so they can move on to the next step and he will let me know what they said. I waited inside my house and the technician never came back in. I noticed he left without letting me know what was said.I immediately called the company and they told me they will submit the report to home depot protection plan and let them know. I decided right after I got off the phone with them to call me Home Depot protection plan and let them know what I was told and they told me, Ok we will wait for them to submit it and it should take 24 to 72 hours for them to make a decision and get back to me. On September 22, 2020 I called Home Depot protection plan to find out the status. I explained the situation and I was transferred to a supervisor and I waited an hour on the phone before I finally reached a supervisor. I also explained the situation and he told me he would contact LG to escalate this for a buy out review and told me to look out for an email tomorrow.About two hours later I get a call telling us that a technician will be coming on September 23rd, 2020 to fix the oven. I was confused so I called Home Depot protection plan again to ask them what was going on and why were they sending the same company to fix something that they already deemed could not be fixed, they transferred me to a supervisor again and I waited another hour for a supervisor to come on the phone. The supervisor tells me that there was never a report sent to them stating that they could not fix the oven and that LG is sending a technician out to service my oven.It is going on almost two months going back and forth with Home Depot protection plan and LG and I am still with an oven that is not working and they have been bouncing me back and forth and I am been told something different every time I call. I operate a business from home that requires me to use my stove top and oven on the regular and not having a working oven has affected my business and my ability to cook for my 6 children and husband. This has been one of the worst experience, the range is only 4 years old. It was very expensive and it is a shame that it had gone bad in such a short time.Home Depot protection plan and LG are the absolute worst to deal with. It is unfair and very unprofessional what they are doing because when I purchase the protection plan I was told if they could not fix the product after they attempt to fix the problem they would replace the product or provide me with the money that I purchased it for to get another one. Now they are playing game and going around the bushes. I am very disappointed, unsatisfied and frustrated with both Home Depot protection plan and LG.

Have an LG higher stainless dishwasher that has been determined needs to be replaced by tech. Was offered a white may tag and was told only option or 500 dollar cash. Have been trying to get thru to discuss this matter and cannot get thru after waiting hours for some one to answer the phone. No resolution or cannot talk to supervisor. Bad business on your part. No resolution as of yet.

LG gas stove lrg30357st - We purchased stove 2010. Knobs one-by-one cracked broke. We use pliers to turn on off this $1600 stove. We have had many instances prior to using the pliers where house has filled up with gas... I have called LG several times but they want $85 each and what we read is they continue to crack and not work. $85 x 5 is a lot of money. I cannot believe consumer affairs has not taken this serious problem to the next level.

I just looked up LG on Google to get company information because the lights on my french door LG purchased in 2006 melted the covering. After reading other complaints, I feel that my time may be wasted with calling the company, but will do so anyway. It appears with all these complaints, that LG may be a product I will stay away from in future. One of the plastic drawers broke early on but the light problem bothers me.

I purchased a refrigerator at Sears under the Kenmore Elite brand 5 1/2 years ago which was manufactured by LG. The compressor was replaced about 3 years ago and this past weekend it failed again. I contacted LG who are unwilling to do anything about it where it was a Kenmore product but if I had purchased it elsewhere the compressor would be covered for 10 years. I would not recommend purchasing these refrigerators as we have nothing but problems with it since we have had it.

We bought an LG Refrigerator back in 2013 and had problems with it closing properly, since day one. Over time my produce would not stay as fresh, so about a month ago we had it professionally moved to our garage for a backup fridge (to keep drinks cold). Due to it being a much warmer setting it caused my unit to have to work in overdrive to keep it cool. In return causing it to overheat and it stopped cooling the fridge and freezer causing everything in the freezer to spoil. I paid $90 for a technician to come out and he diagnosed it with a bad sealed system (which let me had that the sealed system was a terrible concept). LG said they will warranty the part but I am responsible for the $1,000 labor :( I will never again purchase an LG product for the reason. Poorly made and do not back up their poorly made products!!!

We purchased an LG refrigerator (Model #LDN20718SW/02) in January 2012. We have replaced the bottom shelf twice now. The second time it broke again within the first week. We have an extended warranty which would not cover replacement if broken within 3 months. We now have a shelf that is also broke that is not covered by the warranty. We do not have children living at home and are not hard on appliances. The plastic in this fridge is very brittle and does not stand up to normal everyday use. LG does not allow purchase of parts, even through an appliance repair, so you can replace these parts yourself. In Canada you must pay a service person to come out to replace these parts!!

Newer LG stainless steel dishwasher came with home we purchased 2011. Had to fix after two months of move in. It wasnt draining. Fixed then it had to be fixed. A few months after that, it wouldnt turn on. It has constant mold problem. I ran with bleach, I wipe between rubber molding inside where mold is with bleach, run vinegar cycle clean. Find mold on cups and mold grew all over wood handle item. Some rust on inside sides, 2 hour run time. Power button is way too sensitive, starts on own as bumping against it starts it. Also the tines on bottom rack are so close that front part bottom rack is unusable and top rack doesnt hold glasses well, had several glasses break. Bad design all around, bottom rack is very low to floor. I would never buy an LG dishwasher.

Unresolved repair after waiting over 2 months on a new refrigerator. We contacted LG over a month ago because the ice maker on our NEW refrigerator quit working. They contacted a local tech who has changed out the ice maker 3 times and a control board at least once and still NO ICE. After a few weeks, I contacted the tech to find out what we were going to do about getting this issue resolved. I was told that he was waiting for LG to give him a direction to go. I waited another week then called back only to get a voice message telling me to contact the manufacturer. I contacted LG customer service and was told that their notes stated that the issue was resolved!!! I told them that the issue was never resolved and they told me that there was nothing they could do until the local tech updated his notes. I placed another request for an update on the LG customer service site and received a return email stating that they would contact the local repair rep and get back to me. Its been a week and still no response! I tried online chat... no response! At the time of this review, it is now almost 4 months later and still no response from LG!!!

DONT STOP UNTIL YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK... I DID. My 4-year old LG fridge stopped working. The fridge was warm and the cooler was warm but everything else worked (lights, water). I had the same horrible experience as most of the reviews I have read. Multiple phone calls leading to nowhere. Had 3 different techs sent by LG and all diagnosed different problems. One said I needed new compressor, the other said compressor was fine but that I had a blockage, the third said I have a leak. I was still covered under the warranty but the techs all explained that the fix was extensive, might not solve issue and it could break down again. Ive never been more proud and embarrassed at myself in my life. I kicked and screamed and shouted and fought with them on the phone for over an hour and a half until they approved me getting my money back (even then I waited for the confirmation email saying so). Im not the type of person to act like that but ultimately I had to be to get what I deserved. My advice, dont give in and fight like heck to get your money back... it can happen. LG should be ashamed of themselves for bad products and horrible customer service. Very few positive reviews about their refrigerators.

LG has always had a good reputation and everyone I know who has an LG product loves it (including me). Now, after 2 years, the compressor died. Even after a thorough cleaning and professional servicing, the freezer wont even freeze and, according to the repairman, the pressure will never build up high enough to do so. What does this mean to me? Almost $1000 to replace the compressor. One thing to note: the replacement part is an updated part number meaning the original one had issues. With COVID-19 cutting customer service hours, I can understand LG not answering their phone. But that doesnt help with me having to go out on my own to get a repairman and shell out so much money. So LG, what do you say about this?

I have contacted customer service via the telephone and email, but have gotten nothing but excuses. Our 2-year old range is rusting, pitting and the enamel is wearing off from the grates sliding in and out. We have an extended warranty with GE, but they said our warranty doesnt cover the issues. They term this as cosmetic. We have had other stoves/ranges over the years and this has never happened. LG also states that cosmetic issues arent covered. In December of this past year, I wrote a letter and mailed it to a location in New Jersey which online had shown it as a corporate office, but never received a response. It would be appreciated if someone would acknowledge my concerns and receive some restitution. We bought five LG appliances in one week at The Home Depot and spent over $6000.00 and have no problems with the items. I hope someone could help us out!

LG only allows LG-trained Technicians to repair LG appliances and when there is no LG-trained Tech in your area, youre out of luck even if the item is still under warranty. LG has the worst Customer Service Ive ever experienced... They just dont care. In our case, its a simple $30.- part for a range that I could install myself but after endless phone calls we got no help from LG. In 2018, were looking at a new washer/dryer combination and a new TV and you can bet that its not going to be LG.

I bought an LG stove @ Home Depot on November 2009. I could write a book to describe the delivery and write a full chapter dedicated to the balanced decision of the person that sold me the defective door on the fridge. Three years, and no problem with the stove, then about 7 months ago I started to have problems with the control panel… F1 appeared but because the building has been undergoing changes, I did not bother to say anything. An electrician confirmed that it had nothing to do with the malfunction. About 2 months ago, as the upgrading of the building had come to a completion, I spoke to LG and for 2 months, I have been lied to and deceived by the executives of this company - very ethical indeed. They want to give me a prorated $700.00 for me to buy another stove. Today, I find out, that the reason why they don’t want to come over to fix my stove, the reason is that this model LSB5682SW/01 was made in Canada and this model is now discontinued. In other words... (TOO BAD, TOO BAD… Revelation chapter 18) for me. That is while I was speaking to a representative. He assured me that the unit was “unrepairable”. I then asked him what F1 means. He said it meant “AN OVEN ISSUE”. Another Executive told my sister “that there is now a SAFETY issue” with the stove. What I mean is that they have conjured up for themselves a code of silence and mutated the truth. It is difficult when there is so much silence for so long - this makes it more unbearable. Now they want me to buy another LG stove. What they should do is refund me the money or fix the control panel - neither of these they want to oversee. Why are there not more videos uploaded to YouTube on this CURSED practice?? I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS WAS MADE IN CANADA.

We purchased an LG top load washer and dryer set on 1/25/2012. It just completely stopped working mid-cycle yesterday, 08/06/2012, locking both pairs of my sons shoes in there. Today is the first day of school and he had to borrow a friends pair of shoes. But it gets worse when I called LG when this happened. She gave me numbers of two service people in my area, or so she thought. I called them both and they do not service my area. There is no one that services my area. I called LG back, they said they would call me back when they get a resolution and that could take 5-6 business days. I have 2 pairs of $100.00 shoes in a washer and cannot get them out. By the time I do get them out, they will probably be ruined. I should not be experiencing this problem with what I consider a brand new washer and dryer. I have 3 children and another due in 6 weeks, and my raging hormones are raging!

I purchased both LG washer and dryer in February 2009. I have been having problems with stinky clothes and mildewed foul smelling towels. I have tried all of the recommendations provided by this so-called company (LG), however, nothing works. I cant leave the door open on the washer. I have small children. Running the washer on the sanitary cycle with only bleach or only vinegar or only ammonia doesnt solve the smelly problem. My 11-year old has asthma and everybody knows asthma and mold dont mix. I am very disappointed with you, LG. Shame on you!

We bought our LG range from American in 2008, and just months after, the knobs began to pucker and wrinkle. American had gone out of business by then, so we called LG. They said $60+ each for replacements - there are 5 knobs. We decided to live with it until we could find something quality and less expensive, which we havent. Now the chrome-colored wrap is peeling off to reveal a plastic knob...and the High-Medium-Low is on the wrap! The range has otherwise been fine, but cheap knobs will cause us to seek another range.

I purchased LG refrigerator Model LFX28968 3 years ago. Since then I have nothing but troubles. Refrigeration section and ice maker are frequently out of order. LG repairman never solved problem saying the unit itself is defect and he cant repair it. He reported to service department supervisor about the defect, but the supervisor said to him it worked for 3 years and LG is not going to replace the unit nor will try to repair again. I got a lemon product. Anyone want to buy LG refrigerator must check the LG Service and their irresponsibility. I strongly urge anyone stay out of LG products. Otherwise, you will get stucked with problems.

We bought the LG Steam set back in May 2009. With a big family, it was such a blessing to get a large capacity elite washer and dryer! We used our tax money for this expensive set with the premise the company pledges: that we would quickly reap the savings of this energy and water efficient washer. Well 4 1/2 years later we have a broken washer with a bearing assembly that needs replaced. The washer kept filling up all on its own and leak, then it wouldnt drain and then getting stuck in the midst of a cycle. We would have to drain the tub and ring our clothes out by hand (we have 7 people in our family). Then it finally quit spinning altogether. It has been a mess to say the least. Total cost to fix it? Repairman said in the $800 range. That is ridiculous for a machine that is less than 5 years old and was so expensive to begin with. And it sounds like this is a manufacturing problem as I read so many others who have this exact same thing happen. Can we say class action law suit? Sign me up.
