I love the LG refrigerators. They are stainless steel, lots of shelving, space is plentiful, and can adjust temperatures for different parts (sliding drawers/fruits/vegetables/etc). One day, I hope to purchase the latest series.

I have now seen hundreds if not thousands of online pictures of my similar issue with this product. The control panel is NOT sealed correctly so the steam seeps out on the top and has entered the thin plastic which encases the control panel and created small but obvious cracks. This would not happen if the door/panel was sealed tightly with some form of a seal, which it is not. It is plastic meets plasic on a edge. Therefore the steam enters creating heat and pressure and cracking the display as well as allowing moisture into the electrical panel.** Here is a link to a video that shows the issue. This is a design flaw. Its also a hazard since the water vapor is seeping into the panel. My dishwasher is also not very old. I do not recommend this product since the design flaw not only has NOT been fixed, it has not been addressed by LG despite numerous reports on the web. Shame on LG for allowing a flaw to just continue each year in this model.

Electric range Model LRE3083ST - After a few uses oil/grease streaks appeared on the glass panel. Thought it was on the outer surface. Didnt run a self clean cycle until the range was 6 months old. The streaks were inside not outside. Called LG - was told this is a maintenance issue. This is a defect in the design - the glass is suppose to sealed. Contacted Sears the seller (also their corporate office), was told since we didnt buy the extended contract and was past 30 days, nothing can be done. Already found another person with the same exact problem.

I bought an LG refrigerator from Home Depot in August 2007. It is the freezer on the bottom model. After about two months I noticed dripping in my basement. The ice maker plastic hose had a pin hole right behind the fridge and water was leaking down into the basement and onto the I beam. The whole beam was filled with water. Home Depot came and replaced the plastic hose. Then it leaked under my new laminate flooring and ruined a section of it.I just shut the ice maker and the water to it off. I use old fashioned ice cube trays because I am afraid to have another leak. I also have had to replace the crispers in the refrigerator section twice as the plastic keeps cracking, making the crisper unusable. The new ones dont quite fit and are relatively expensive. I need a new one again. Thats 5 repairs in 6 years. I cant afford new fridge but this one is a piece of junk.

If I could give warning signs or negative stars I would! Bought my first machine about a year ago. I havent had a working washing machine since. The machine didnt work from day one. My husband called the company and got the run around for 3 weeks. I contacted Home depot and they got an LG authorized repairman to look at it. Needed a water pump (so they say). Mind you it has only been used twice. They also warned me of the special low-sudsing soap needed (another excuse). Home depot replaced it. However, the second one was just as bad as the first and had the exact same problems. As far as the soap, I ran it with no soap and had the same issues. My last two machines lasted about 10 years each with one service visit between them and they used any kind of soap! They werent top of the line expensive machines either. Im ready to eat the purchase and chuck this piece of junk. The company should give free service to everyone who bought their junk products for 3 years or be sued for selling substandard lemons. No way were they unaware that their product was junk. Two machines in a month and neither work. I will never, never buy an LG product ever again.

In May 2013, I purchased a LG refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer, model LFX25991ST. The freezer stopped cooling in Aug 2013. Repairman replaced the freezer fan grill and the main circuit board. In Feb 2014 same thing happened. Again lost food to thawing. Repairman once again replaced freezer fan grill, this time with a built-in heater that was supposed to prevent it from icing up and malfunctioning. The repairman, for the second time, also replaced main circuit board. 24 Mar 2014 freezer again stopped working. Have to wait another week to get a repairman to evaluate it. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS REFRIGERATOR! IT IS NOT WORTH THE AGGRAVATION!

I have owned my LG French door refrigerator for 18 months and have had two problems with the icemaker. The first problem happened during the warranty and was covered. The ice bin plastic broke off and plastic bits were dispensed with ice. The second problem is that the icemaker is completely broken and needs to be replaced. I used the live chat on the web site and they walked me through a number of steps, but in the end, it needs to be replaced. Its over $300 after owning it for 18 months. I am not happy. My last refrigerator lasted 20 years with not one repair.

I trust the LG brand and when it came to looking for a quality fridge that would also quench our thirst as we go through a lot of water as a family...this brand was the best choice for not only our family but the space we needed it for. The LG refrigerator I used was spacious enough for us and I loved the fact that it was from a brand I trust and love. I loved the ice maker and water dispenser on it. The water from it was some of the best water. The fridge itself had tons of room and fit the space perfectly. The fridge we used had a bottom drawer freezer. I wasnt a huge fan seeing that it sometimes would catch if food shifted. The fridge had a lot of room...sometimes I felt too much room lol. So the spaciousness was a pro and con...mainly because I am short.

My family and friends had said that they like lg and Ive had good experiences with them before. I love the options that they had available to purchase. The fridge itself looked really aesthetic and fit in with my kitchen very well. I liked that it seemed to have a lot of space in it compared to the other fridges and some nice shelf space. I also liked that it had a relatively consistent temperature throughout the fridge. I didnt like that the freezer didnt have very much room to put things in it though.

I purchased an LG dishwasher 2 months ago and I keep getting car for codes 3 different ones. Service man came out. Said machine is junk. Should be replaced. So LG in the Philippines sends out a 2nd repair company and he cant figured it out so he ordered 3 different parts... And broke my tiles in my kitchen and said if 2 service people come out and cannot figure it out theyll replace the dishwasher. I have sent several messages to a lady named Heather in Alabama who has stopped emailing me back. And all return calls have stopped although I call every day. Been dealing with LG warranty dept for 3 weeks every day... Leaving messages and emails and my problem is still unresolved. I would never recommend any LG product ever.

This microwave has a 10 year warranty on the inverter. I’ve had this microwave for less than two years and the inverter has stopped working. I contacted LG and was given three LG approved companies to contact for the warranty work. Each company told me the labor cost would be more than the microwave was worth. I contacted LG again and was told there was nothing they could do, and I should buy a new microwave at my own cost. I purchased this microwave because of the advertised warranty. Given that labor costs likely always exceed the purchase price of the microwave, this warranty is designed to be unusable. What a scam.

I purchased a $3,000 refrigerator from LG. It looks beautiful. From the first month, I have had nothing but problems. I was so glad I bought extended warranty. Unfortunately, the warranty is useless because even the replacements become problems within a few months. This company has extremely poor quality products and extremely poor customer service. I have had an ongoing issue with mold growing on the inside of a piece of plastic on the front of the shelves. The company, without even coming out, told me it was not their problem. The company repairman came out to repair the perpetually broken ice-maker and told me the black line was due to inferior quality Korean plastic. He said it would only come back so he couldnt replace it. Then came an odor which would not go away even though my fridge was immaculate. This odor then took over the ice and water and even with the replacement, the water and ice are unusable because of the taste. The mold has to be coming from within the plastic. I have broken this plastic front piece due to putting Clorox on it every few months. But it continues to grow back. This is a potential health risk. The company refuses to even replace the piece of plastic that had to be pried apart in order to put Clorox in the mold. This is not normal, especially since there is nothing in my fridge most of the time. Be very careful and check this company out before purchasing. I have spent so much time waiting for repairmen only to have them tell me that the problems are not under warranty or that it is something not repairable.

We purchased the LG Model # LDF7774WW just a few months ago and from the very first wash we noticed that it would not clean the dishes properly, even though I am in the habit of rinsing off the dishes under running water with a dish scrub brush before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, there is a setting for heated water on the panel. It clearly shows the temperature of 160 degrees. However, after suspecting this claim, I tested the water mid-wash with two distinctly different thermometers, one electronic, the other mechanical. Both thermometers showed readings of between 110 degrees and 109.4 degrees. This washer is simply designed to be inferior. Our past GE dishwasher would superheat the water to the point where you could get a mild burn if you were not careful removing metal items from the washer at the end of the cycle. With LG, the dishes feel a little warmer than room temp at the end of the cycle. Avoid this brand and especially this model. It is garbage.

Bought the fridge April 2021, had it arrive May 2021. Started using it June 17th 2021. It stopped refrigerating July 4th weekend. Lost $250 worth of food. Called LG, got a work order number.. then no contact from anyone. Contacted LGs presidents office. Got a call saying that A&E would be dispatched to do the repair. 7/13/21 A&E tech arrives. Said he isnt qualified/trained to work on the fridge. 90 Mins later he says 7/29/21 they rescheduled the work order. No one called or arrived from A&E on that date. Aug 2nd, A&E texts me saying that its now Aug 10th.. 10 mins later they text saying Aug 17th. Today.. Aug 17th no one arrived, no one called.. two days taking the day off from work and blown off twice by A&E not showing up...So a $3700 fridge that has been broken since the beginning of July sits in our kitchen with no sign that it will be repaired, replaced, or working anytime soon.

We purchased a LFXS30726S French Door Refrigerator Freezer approximately 18 months ago. On October 23, 2017 the refrigerator seemed to be getting warm. Changes to the temperature setting did not improve the issue. We called the LG customer service number on October 24 and walked through a diagnostic process over the phone. LG said a repair would be fully covered under warranty. No cost to the customer. It was determined there was an issue with the sealed system (compressor/evaporator) and would need a certified technician to come out to our home. Received a case reference number: ** and then the mess began. I live in the metro NYC area in CT and no technicians on their approved list wanted to do this repair. LG was unable to get a technician setup that day. Escalated the issue to Joan in their scheduling team (executive services). After five days they found a technician. When this company called, they said LG would only pay $100 and we would owe the balance which could be $800+. We called LG and they indicated it’s a covered repair with an approval number: **. Then, the phone tag began with the service company saying that approval maximizes out at a lesser expense and LG saying its approved. I three way called them both and LG said its approved and service company said not for the right amount. Apparently the fixed fee reimbursement is too low for many companies. Now on my third company --- Akosemi. Lets see what happens. Its November 7 and still not a repaired refrigerator/freezer. Lost all my food. LG makes a poor product with awful service. The whole experience is terrible. Never buy another LG as long as I live.

LG has one of the best refrigerators that I have ever used and was easy to maintain and clean which is an underrated feature. It was recommended and the sale made it unbeatable. It did everything I needed it to for the price. It was a good reliable refrigerator for the apartment that it was in. Well kept and easy to store and organize food and beverages. The shelving was well done and easy to use, allowed for no clutter while storing a vast amount of food and drinks. The features I liked the most are simply how it was laid out on the inside, perfect amount of shelving and organization abilities. I bought a Kenmore Elite Refrigerator (LG compressor) in November 2015. It had a ten year warranty on the compressor. In November of this year (2019), the refrigerator stopped cooling suddenly. I lost over $200 in frozen/refrigerated items. It cost me $99 to just have a repairman show up and then another $260 to have diagnostics run to determine the failure mode. It was a bad compressor. Took another week to get parts (although repairman had a truck full of new compressors since he replaces over 30 a month) and then another couple days to get the repairman back out to fix. Total bill to have fixed was over $500. Repairman told me he has had three newly replaced compressors fail within 48 hours just this month. Almost the perfect range, it has everything you need or want. Unfortunately, it has a very dangerous design flaw. When anyone bumps against a burner knob, a burner turns on (normally on high). We recently had a situation where a glass baking dish was taken out of the oven and placed on the stove top. Someone accidentally bumped a knob, turning on the burner to high, where the glass dish was at. When my wife noticed the burner was on, she turned it off and tried moving the glass baking dish off of the burner, when the dish suddenly exploded. I contacted LG. I was told to buy the child safety cover for $30.00. This is a VERY expensive appliance. We shouldnt have buy something to make it safe when it should be safe to use in the first place. LG Washing Machine Front Loading WM235OH*C - mold in unit: As the other 89
LG Washing Machine Front Loading WM235OH*C - mold in unit: As the other 899 complaints, I purchased my Washer and Dryer Set 5/9/2011. From day one, the detergent dispenser had standing water and the tub would get a foul odor. I read the owner’s manual and it stated that both were common. The foul odor could be removed with a HE washing machine cleaner and it should be used monthly. It is also recommended to leave the door ajar. I also called customer service and they confirmed that both were normal. I started noticing mold spots on the detergent dispenser tray and would clean it and run an extra load of bleach through the machine. My clothes were not cleaning properly and the smell never went away. On 12.13.12, I noticed more mold spots so this time I had my husband completely take the top off the machine and remove the dispenser tray. The tray and plastic gasket that allows the detergent to flow into the machine were covered in solid black mold. I called LG immediately and offered to forward pictures. The rep I spoke to, was very empathic and stated that LG will back their product and either replace or refund the machine. She also promised that someone from the Executive Team would call me the next morning to handle this issue quickly for me. No one called me. At 3:00 pm, I finally called them back and this time my phone conversation was very different - no one was going to do anything. They could send out a repair tech but that would cost me and most likely find nothing wrong since standing water and odor is normal. They stated the mold came from not using HE detergent and not cleaning the machine. I told her, “I am not stupid, of course I followed the owner’s manual not to mention all the stickers on the machine that say only use HE detergent.” The commercials on TV indicate to only use HE detergent for HE machines and to avoid the smell from the tub, use the HE cleanser monthly. Duh. Really. If I was that stupid, I wouldn’t be calling anyone. I told them I would be more than happy to forward the pictures of the mold and articles on the health risks that black mold offers. She stated that LG would not replace, refund, or promise repair on the machine. I agree with all the other 899 people. Do not buy LG. Do not throw away money and very important - do not place your health at risk

My biggest problem with this dishwasher is the racks are poorly designed. Whoever designed these racks couldnt possibly ever loaded a dishwasher. Glasses fall over unless the glass rack is full. Consequently, if you dont run the dishwasher every day, as you pull the rack out, any glasses previously placed on the rack, fall over causing broken glasses. The lower rack where one would usually place small plates or bowls is designed in such a way that the posts are staggered so the plates & bowls wont line up. If I ever buy another new dishwasher, Im taking dishes with me so I know they can be properly & efficiently placed.

We have had this dishwasher for about 1.5 years and it was never good. Here are some of the most frustrating things that have occurred with this piece of junk.1) The bottom rack never stayed on the track from day 1. That means no one in my family of 6 can put dishes in the bottom unless you lift the bottom rack and carry it out of the dishwasher fully. Its obscene. Because the bottom never ever stayed on the track, our 4 kids have bent the outer metal frame, and now it is a pile of junk.2) The racks around the entire dishwasher never stay up or in place, we are constantly trying to manipulate these glass racks to stay in place, but they dont.3) The silverware holder is a pile of garbage, never stays put, constantly trying to get it to stick in place.4) If you fill the bottom, none of the top dishes get cleaned.5) Every other wash, we get an error message of some sort that leaves the dishwasher unusable for a couple days. With a family of 6, and kids we are trying to teach how to take care of dishes, this dishwasher is a joke. Had I known that we would pay $700+ for a pile of junk, I would have opted for a much cheaper dishwasher, as I have lived in places in my younger years with very cheap dishwashers and have not had half the issue we have had with this. I would be ashamed to market and sell this dishwasher. After not even 2 years, we are now in the market to buy another new dishwasher because this one is basically unusable. If you are considering this dishwasher, please think twice, find a different one for your home. I thought paying $700 for one would mean it should be pretty decent, it is not at all a good dishwasher. If I could rate it below a 1 star, I would.

I have an LG Tromm Washer and Dryer. I have only had it for a few years. As others have complained, the washer has a foul smell due to the mold that grows as a result of the water getting trapped in the rubber door seal (poor design/manufacturer defect). Its not like LG did not know about it. Look at all of the complaints. There is definitely negligence on their part at this point. At the very least, there should have been a label put on the machine that warns you not to use it in a small space, which is unrealistic since most laundry rooms are not large. How come this product has not been recalled due to the health hazard? In addition now, I cant find the reason why the dryer does not make any noise (although it does turn on) and the washer wont even turn on! Maybe this is a blessing in disguise to get rid of these machines. Unfortunately, most people are being duped out of a small fortune to buy them without being fully informed of the health hazard. This may need additional legal action. My child now has respiratory problems/asthma and is on medication daily. I have also developed an adult-onset asthma.

I’ve dealt with LG stuff through the years and the products that I’ve gotten seemed to work very well. Aside from TVs and others, being in the elevator business, I have bought and installed LG elevators, which were good quality products. We got an LG refrigerator and it works well. It keeps the food cool. And when it’s working right, it keeps the ice cream hard, and I like that. I was just having an issue with the food getting warm. Their technician came out within a day and a half and fixed it, but didn’t get it right on the first time. When I told them it wasn’t working, they said they could come the following day, which was a Saturday. I was impressed that they came out even on a weekend. They took care of it early in the morning and got us up and running. So I was really happy. I had a big party planned and the technician got the refrigerator all fixed up before that. It started cooling down really well, and everything was fantastic. The technician was a nice gentleman, and very cooperative. He worked with us. All-around, I was happy with the service that I got from LG. And I would be calling them again if I have any problems with the refrigerator. I’m happy that they have their own service department. A lot of times you get different companies that are servicing the product, and they gotta run to LG to get the parts. The guy we had here is directly connected with LG, so it’s part of their system. And I know, being in the business, that if you’re dealing with the in-house manufacturer, they have better availability of parts and technical support than a middleman. You get a couple of people down this chain, and now you gotta order the parts and it takes longer. But the guy we had was able to come with the parts and then he did the job, and that makes the difference. I would absolutely recommend them.

We purchased our LG side-by-side refrigerator four years ago. From the start, we had problems with the ice maker auger freezing solid. We had the ice maker or some components of it replaced twice, under warranty, but not without several bumbled service visits - wrong parts, wrong initial diagnosis, etc. Now the freezer door seal has lost its suction. I see from todays research, this is not uncommon. We should have done more research, but we were desperate, since our old fridge had just died so we bought what was immediately available. Dont make the same mistake!

I purchased a home which included appliances including my LG bottom freezer refrigerator (model number LRDC22744TT) this time last year and moved in in August. An internal leak developed in the refrigerator compartment, which was discovered to be a broken reservoir that feeds the water dispenser in the door. The reservoir was replaced by a local serviceman. Here 6 months later, the new reservoir cracks, clearly caused by defect in the component. Their response? Out of warranty. No replacement. LG (or NG, as I now refer to them) and I (and anyone else on Earth that I can persuade) are parting ways.

Bought a TV in August 2020. After 3 repair attempts over 6 months, LG finally agreed to refund my money. With much effort, I packed up the TV and sent it back months ago and still havent seen my refund. Had three repair attempts on my refrigerator and its finally fixed (I guess). But were still out $750 for lost food. Now, my 27 month old dishwasher has a control problem and rusted out rack. Both controls and rack have a 5 year warranty but I have to call some appliance-fix-it place to get them to look at it. I bet I get no repair, no parts no-nothing and a lot of wasted time for this. I have $15,000 worth of LG equipment in this house and they arent the least bit interested in helping me. I wont buy another piece of equipment from them again.

The LG over-the-range microwave MODEL LMV1683ST caught on fire. This appliance was manufactured in December 2014 and I purchased it at Lowes in March 2015. On July 3, 2015 the unit started sparking and smoking and then flames started shooting inside the unit. 4 months old and LG thinks it might be repairable. I dont want that unit in my house. I have spend several hours cumulatively on the phone trying to get a new unit. The unit only cost $200, yet they have sent repair people to my home. The cost of the repair time has exceeded the cost of goods and out of frustration, LG has created a consumer that will never buy another LG product. The poor Customer Service Reps must hate their job. They are not empowered to really help the consumer. It seems to me that LG has a lot to learn about customer satisfaction.

Thank God I caught it when I did or we have at least a couple hundred dollars of food gone to waste. Would not recommend LG to anyone. Could not get thru cycle without repeated UE error codes, drum not spinning & water leaking all over. 2015 tech replaced board control and other parts. Now I have the exact problem as before. Machine is JUNK. This weekend had to purchase a new washer because warranties much less good customer service or products to say the very least do not mean anything to LG. Out of curiosity checked reviews for LG front load washer & what do you know... Hundreds of other innocent consumers has had to put up with the same abuse from your LG company. We need to all band together and fight the unjustified ethics of LG. Ive contacted an attorney; well see what happens. P.S... and YES the clothes & washer do stink just like LG company. To the couple of reviews who said their clothes do not smell... You had better get your smeller fixed!!

We are in the middle of an LG refrigerator nightmare! I am so upset I dont even know what to do next. We have been without a refrigerator for over a month now with no end in sight. The supervisor at LG was so rude and disrespectful and eventually hung up on me. We have a 3 yr old French door model. Started with the ice maker not working, then the entire unit stopped cooling. LGs certified repair person came out, did absolutely nothing except pull fridge from wall and broke something in the process so now its even worse. LG wont even admit this repair service is on their list!!! Apparently, there is also a bulletin on my model for the Grill Fan Assembly. The repair person said I needed to call LG myself and ask them to send me the part that was under warranty. Called LG, they basically laughed at me and said but your refrigerator is not showing the correct code for that part. REALLY??? It was showing the correct code before the fridge got worse. They both need to be sued! I completely give up. What can we do???

The control panel cracked right through the power button within 2 months of it being brand new. Every time you close the door to start a cycle, it flashes its lights and then shuts off. Ive learned to shimmy the door side to side just right before closing it in order to get the cycle to start otherwise it just beeps at you and then shuts off. If it does start the cycle, it only actually finishes it about 50% of the time. You have to clean the trap every single wash - it seems like the screen is too fine and it catches so much itty bitty debris that it clogs it completely. I cant say how much I truly hate this dishwasher! I paid for 3 year warranty and am so annoyed that I have to use it so soon. Cmon LG you bloody crooks make a product that works.

I own an LG front load washer. It has been problematic since its purchase 3 years ago. It never cleans the clothes. It makes clothes smell awful. I found out others are having the same problem. I wish they give my money back. I used all the recommended treatments, washing machine cleaners (additional expense), emptying its water often (additional inconvenience), leaving the door open when not in use (hit my legs and bruise them), still clothes smell horrible, especially towels seem to absorb this mushy smell. I hope soon I will get rid of it. I missed clean smelling fresh clothes so much. I need to use a ton of drying sheets to suppress the smell. NEVER BUY FRONT LOADING WASHER. I WILL NEVER AGAIN. They do not save water because you have to wash your clothes again and again. Also you need to clean the machine with special cleaners while running it empty. So in the end no water is saved.

Worst experience I have had as a consumer - ever. I ordered an LG microwave 1/3/18 through a third-party, AJ Madison. It was delayed weeks (not LGs fault), when I finally received it and plugged it in it had a code of death - F11. It never worked, not even ONE SECOND. That was middle of March. Its now May 3, 2018. I have sent in repeated receipts, responded to their letters, requests for more information, taken pictures, cut up serial numbers, signed declarations that I did in fact buy the microwave. Gotten the third party involved and had them try on my behalf to no avail! They now want me to send them a receipt having bought a second one of these before theyll send me my money back for the January 3, 2018 purchase! Im on hold again with LG, 26 minutes into it and the customer service wants to explain the process to me - youve got to be kidding me. LG, as a very American, cooperative consumer who has purchased 14 appliances in the last year and done lots of shopping - this is the WORST customer service experience I have ever had!

Let’s see. So my French door fridge (model # LFC25770SB) is only 2 years old. Weve had it since May 2010. It was bought brand new from Home Depot for our new home. It has worked fine until 11/14/2012. I came home from work and the entire bottom cavity (freezer) was thawed out and everything completely ruined (my Thanksgiving meal, since we went shopping a few days prior)! The freezer isn’t keeping anything cold, so therefore neither is the fridge! The fridge was 47 degrees when I got home! I called LG on their emergency line the night it happened and was told that the food that I lost would be covered in part. Not the case! They refused to cover anything. I have to wait up to 3 weeks for a new part, which I have to pay out of pocket for, and the labor that is included in fixing this part! Needless to say, a 2-year-old fridge was obviously a piece of **! I lost over $500 in groceries, not to mention the insulin that I had in the fridge because I’m a diabetic! LG lost this customer! And I doubt they will care to do anything! All they say is they are sorry! Must not really be sorry, because I should have gotten a reimbursement for some of the product lost because of their ** appliance that broke after, seriously, only 2 years! Do something LG!

We purchased the LG washer / dryer set on 1-11-20 from Warner Stallion. Right from the start the dryer makes a constant banging noise like there’s a pair of tennis shoes drying. I called the appliance store that we purchased from and after waiting 4 days for a call back they finally scheduled a service tech to come out, he told me that unfortunately all LG dryers sound like, there is no fix so I just have to put up with it. I called the salesperson we had and explained to her, she said she never heard of this problem.... I didn’t hear from her again. Love my LG washer and dryer. The steam function on both has been a great way of taking care of wrinkles and freshness. The quick wash function is exactly that - super quick. I am pleased with how well it cleans all types of fabrics. My only criticism would be the sensor function on the dryer. It is the same complaint I have regarding all sensor type dryers though - they really don’t do a great job and you often come down to find the dryer off and the clothing still damp. The time dry function and personalized functions are very good though.

I purchased an LG microhood and almost immediately, the stove lights melted and burned through the plastic covers. Unfortunately, I didnt report it until after the year warranty was up, but when I did report it, they still wouldnt stand behind their product. I googled the problem and others were having the same problem. Any other appliance manufacturer would have stood behind their product, but not LG. The guy in customer service said I was the only one with this problem. I told him to do an internet search on this and see all the others with the same problem and he laughed at me and hung up. Yes, he actually laughed and hung up saying there was nothing they could do. This is clearly a manufacturers defect, plain and simple. Also, the plastic clip holding the filter in broke while I was changing a filter. Also, I will have to replace the light bulb covers every time they melt through as the plastic is burnt and cracked and can fall into food. The light bulbs blow quickly. Buying this product has been a disaster. I will never buy another LG product again, just based on the way I was treated by customer service alone.

We purchased our new refrigerator along with an LG stove and microwave when
We purchased our new refrigerator along with an LG stove and microwave when we moved into our new home in 2016. Part of our decision was based on the experience we already had with our LG washer and dryer. Here we are now fighting issues with a refrigerator that should easily last 10+ years. If we had known previously about the compressor issues we would not have purchased this brand. Where are the lemon laws for refrigerators?Issue started with water on the floor and at first we thought the in-door ice maker was failing (more on this later), then two days later we noticed that ice cream was soft in the freezer and then a day later no cooling at all (by the way - all of this in the middle of COVID-19 quarantine and trying to make sure we had enough groceries on hand). It took approximately 1 1/2 weeks to get service on site for repair. The technician replaced the compressor and stated that the refrigerator would now run louder. Well, it was so loud we couldnt hear our tv in the next room without turning up the volume to almost maximum level.I pulled the refrigerator out and found that one of the copper tubes from the compressor was vibrating and rubbing on the rear cover. Called for service again to fix the noise issue. When he checked the refrigerator, he stated that he could find nothing wrong; however, he did release some of the coolant because he thought the compressor may have been overcharged and overheating. This seems to have resolved the noise issue. The in-door ice maker - noticed that after the compressor failed we now have water dripping intermittently out of the left hand door (the door with the ice maker). I mentioned this to service tech during his return visit and he said it was probably because I was leaving the door open too long and there was not enough cold air for the ice maker compartment. Ive had the refrigerator for not quite 4 years and never had this issue before - I dont think Ive changed how I use my refrigerator. This issue has not been resolved. We question how long the new compressor will last (4 years?). How much more electricity is the refrigerator using now as compared to before - seems to run a lot more now.

Ive been a fan of LG products for quite some time. Never had any problems with the electronics and appliances Ive bought from them until now. A few days ago, it stopped making ice and the freezer got warm, but the fridge still worked. I called the helpline and the smart diagnosis feature didnt work. I tried all of their troubleshooting tips but nothing worked. I didnt bother getting an extended warranty because of the trust and goodwill LG had earned with me over the years. Now I have to pay 80 dollars just to have a tech look at it, and even if the parts are covered I could be looking at hundreds more for labor. I waited my whole life to get a water/ice dispensing fridge (45 years) but could never afford one. When my old fridge died in 2016, it was at the same time my stepdad gave us 2000 grand as a gift. We used that money to buy this fridge during a Black Friday sale at Lowes. Not even 3 years later its dead and who knows how much it will cost to fix. Ive never been this disappointed since my Xbox 360 died but Microsoft made it right by sending a new console free of charge. I wonder if LG will be willing to do anything to rectify the situation. If not, I will never buy anything from them ever again, and will never stop being critical of their products and services.

I love my LG washer. It’s self-adjustment for water levels based on load
I love my LG washer. It’s self-adjustment for water levels based on load is a water saver. However, the ability to increase the water level manually if wanting a greater rinse still gives me control over my laundry. With its many available washing options, one doesn’t have to “think” each time a load Is added; if I’m washing towels, I just choose the “Towel” option and the machine does the rest. My spin cycle is extremely effective, making the drying time a minimal. Last, the size of the tub is large enough for a thin blanket. This is nice when needing to wash stored bed coverings prior to winter use. The only con I might have is getting the message “uneven load” and of acing to stop the machine and adjust the wet items. This usually happens if I have a mix load of unlike weights.

Barbara of Mountain View, NY, I couldnt agree with you more. I also had to deal with Willie at LG! The stove was part of my kitchen remodel. Within its first year, the entire motherboard had to be replaced only after they tried to replace a segment of the board only. While the repairman is installing the new board, he notices the oven door has unnoticeably come out of its frame at the bottom and decides to tighten it and alert us to that fact. In its 3rd year, while baking, all we heard from the next room was glass exploding then glass raining onto my new hardwood floor. After picking up our jaws in disbelief, we quickly snapped several pics of the damage and sent it to LG along with the original sales receipt. At first they wouldnt pay for an investigator to come out but then did so. The investigator turned out to be some subcontractor Joe Schmo who took 2 pics and then left only for Willie to tell me that the board had decided that this was not the fault of the stove but mine! We were left just completely disgusted by their demeanor and their so-called internal investigation with their engineers, not to mention their lack of concern that anyone could have been hurt. So LG products of any sort are now on our boycott list.

I think LG refrigerator owners who are experiencing repeated compressor problems should file a Class Action Lawsuit against LG for a full original purchase price refund and subsequent repair and warranty plan costs incurred for inferior product design and manufacture. Our LG French Door Refrigerator Model LMXX30776S/01 is also experiencing compressor failures. Purchased in February, 2015, the original compressor was replaced in September, 2016. Now, August, 2017 that compressor is also failing. Temperatures continue dropping in the refrigerator, freezer, and mid drawer sections even though I continue lowering the temperature set points. The ice maker is also producing small cubes at a very slow pace, and they begin melting and forming refrigerator icebergs. My wife purchased the Warrantech Extended Warranty through hhgregg. Recently Wil, the LG repair tech from Fredericksburg, VA, was at my home to service the unit. He measured temperatures, low and high side line pressures, and voltage. He cleaned some dust from the back of the refrigerator and left. He said he could not stay and further monitor the unit because it went into the defrost cycle. He told me to call him after a day or two to let him know if I was still having problems. I called and left a message on his phone. I have not received a return phone call. The temperatures continue to drop. Refrigerator performance continues to deteriorate, and $3,000.00+ has been wasted on a extremely poor product.

Worst customer service ever. They should be ashamed, the guy came out and didnt even have the proper equipment with him to de-ice the fan. My husband had to loan him the equipment. P.S. it works for about 6 months then stops working again so we call Brandsmart again. The guy comes out and resets the refrigerator by unplugging it and plugging it back it, of course that didnt work.I call LG who sends out their own technician who said it was the motherboard. That gets replaced, only to work another 2 months. Now they are replacing the compressor and the two evaporators. I am out of manufacture warranty but LG is covering the labor cost but are giving me a hard time. I requested a new refrigerator and a refund and who knows if that is going to happen. This whole process has been like pulling teeth, I have also been without a refrigerator twice, for 3 weeks each time. They are also giving me a one time food loss credit. Dont know how much, but I think a class action lawsuit is in order, the anxiety and stress dealing with the stupid techs and the customer service is too much. I dont think I can do this a 5th time. LG Refrigerator Model#LFX31925ST - Purchased July 2012. First year, this refrigerator was nothing but a joy, no problems. Second year expected to have to change filters, but not the hell I have gone through. A week before my 60th Birthday, heard noise but couldnt locate where it was coming from, moved refrigerator found nothing going on. Day of Birthday Dinner panel goes in rf and ff mode, so Knowing I purchased the extra Service agreement, I called to see if someone could come repair this problem. 24 hrs later part shows up and 7 days later repairman shows up.

Dryer LG DLEX3250W ruins my clothes. The lint filter on this model is defective. We even purchased replacement parts and within a month the same thing happened again. I have to use duct tape to hold the lint filter in place. I have ruined 100s of dollars worth of clothing. The clothes get caught on the end of the lint filter and twist until ripping. Items with straps, sheets, sleeves are the most common to get caught and ripped. I am very disgusted that this has not been recalled and a fix has not been made. I spent a lot of money on this dryer and very dissatisfied!

Always out of balance. Cannot wash a small load. Doing a bath robe? Better buy 10 of them so the machine is full otherwise it will not wash and will go out of balance. Have a blanket to wash? Sorry, you will need to wash every one of them in the house because the machine will go out of balance if you have fewer than 4-6 blankets. Forget about washing your bath mats with the waterproof, non-slip backing as those are not recommended to be washed in this washer. Just throw them out every week and buy new ones. Plan to spend hours every week staring into your washer waiting for it to go out of balance because if you do not babysit this machine, it will empty and refill, empty and refill, using hundreds of gallons of water in a futile attempt to rebalance the load. Would write more but my LG washer is out of balance again so I have to go.

Woke up to a non-functioning fridge/freezer on Saturday 07/11/20, tried going through all the steps I found to check it out before calling in to LGs customer service to report a non-functioning unit. I had to remove everything from the unit and find places to put it or throw away good food. My experience with LG customer service was great, they took my info and sent the info out to the 3rd party warranty service company. This is where it goes downhill.@ Your Service (3rd party company) sent me a text on 07/13/20 that they have scheduled me for 07/24/20!!!! I sent a text back that I need service sooner than that since my unit is down. I got a reply that they will contact me when an earlier appointment is available. Here it is 07/20/20 and I still have a broken fridge/freezer. I have had to go out and buy a new mini-fridge in the mean time. Why does LG allow this 3rd party service company to keep doing this? Look up their reviews and see just how bad their customer service is. I will update when @ Your Service finally shows up and hopefully fixes my expensive side by side refrigerator. I bought the unit during Black Friday 2017, it made it a little over 2.5 years. Model: LSXS26366D.ASBCNA0.

I have never been more appalled and disgusted with a company and customer service in my life. Last night while doing laundry, my LG electric dryer of the last 4 year, the cord connecting in the back of the dryer caught fire and melted. Thank goodness we were home and the dryer shut off with no further damage to the house other than the wire and casing in the back of the dryer completely melting. I called the customer service line to let them know what happened and the lady sounding like she was reading from a manual telling me that I had to set up a service call which I understood. Then she tells me that I have to pay over $275 upfront for repairs before they will send anyone out. I told her that the malfunction was not my fault that there is a defect in the product and she said unfortunately unless I pay upfront they can not send anyone out. I told her to send someone out and if the repairman somehow found us at fault we would pay then, but before he came out to look at it. How do you charge someone for a repair that they havent even seen yet to know what needs to be fixed. How do you charge someone upfront for a repair that was a manufacturers defect? A defect that could have burnt my house down or worse killed my entire family had we been sleeping. For safety measures I had an electrician come out to the house the very next day to ensure it wasnt an electrical issue on my end and he even said its wasnt anything from the house end, that it was an internal issue with the dryer.

My refrigerator (LSXS22423) a side by side is 2 years and 3 months old. Wasnt making ice Sunday and by Monday everything in freezer was thawed. The compressor is shot!! Really... 2 years??? I was told by a person who SELLS LG refrigerators that he wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Their compressors are known to die after about 2 years... Really?? He said even if you wanted to repair it they would use the same compressor model that failed and since so many of them are failing we are looking at a 3 to 4 month wait-list... Really?? I bought a whole new LG kitchen 2 years ago. My fault I did not read the reviews first. Totally my fault, but when you pay $1700 for a fridge you expect more than two years out of it. I had a GE before and had it for 18 years. Still worked when I bought my precious LG. I am a senior who has to watch his money and this situation just makes me sick. I dont deserve this nor do any of the other LG customers who have been screwed. Where is the Quality Control?? It is a crime and you should be ashamed. 2 years... REALLY?? Yeah, really!!!

I have purchased several LG kitchen appliances. The overall quality is good, lots of convenience features and pleasant appearance. When they are working they are great. However if you ever need LG repair service have patience. They are the worst for scheduling your service and even worst still to actually get a technician to your appliance. This means that you are without the use of your appliance for up to 90 days or longer. Also the appliances are expensive and the warranty is only 1 year, which is standard and really burns me. When you spend nearly $2000 for an electric stove and the manufacturer only puts a 1 year warranty on it, that says something about how it was made and the level of confidence the manufacturer has in their product. I prefer American made products but sadly there aren’t many major appliances that are American made anymore.

We have a 3-door side-by-side with ice/water. Ice maker is slow and very undersized so we will definitely run out of ice during a party. The refrigerator is very stylish but it is painted and can and did scratch. The unit is quiet and led lighted interior is quite nice. The door gasket has gone bad in 3 years though. WE bought this thru Home Depot and wisely bought additional wty. WE have some trouble with refrig and LG stove and the warranty company has been EXCELLENT. This is very important. No sin to need a repair but to be left hanging is not good. We will buy LG again. :-)

Purchased an extended warranty on March 14, 2017 for my LG refrigerator for $375 through Assurant which LG told me I had to go through to get coverage. LG contacted Royal Electronics from Bunnell Fl. to service my refrigerator. R.E. phone #386-756-1775. R.E. contacted me to set up date to come to my home to look at my refrigerator. R.E. did show up but only after cancelling the first appointment and showing up a week later. The service repairman was very friendly but came completely unprepared and was ready to walk out the door when I brought it to his attention that he hadnt even checked the ice maker, which was one of the main reasons he was there. The other was the water inlet valve in the back of the refer. Jumping ahead repairman said he order the parts but that the refer was old (7yrs) and I might not be able to get all the parts for it. Sad.Im waiting almost two weeks and hear nothing from R.E. I call them back and they say they cant get the ice maker anymore (no longer available). I went online and found the part myself at repairclinic.com. I called R.E. back and said they could get the part from repairclinic. R.E. told me they only order parts from approved suppliers through LG. I called LG and they said they would authorize the purchase, and let R.E. know to go ahead and order the parts. In the meantime Im still making phone calls both to R.E. and L.G. really getting nowhere. Assurant has already charged my credit card twice ($250 now), and nothing has yet to remedy my broken refer 6 wks later. R.E. never calls back and I always had to call them.Collette from R.E. told me the part was on its way but she didnt have a tracking number and that we would just have to wait to hear from her again. She told me not to call again because she would call me (that never happened). So now after at least two working days on the phone, on hold more than half the time, I decided to cancel my insurance policy. I call LG and they said they would charge me $100 and refund the rest. They said this was to pay for the service call to my house by the repairman. I received really no service at all, and Id be a fool to keep playing phone tag with two companies that obviously have no intentions of making it right. I believe R.E. was being spiteful that I went above their heads and found the part I needed from another company. (Prior, R.E. insisted to me that the parts could no longer be obtained because the part was no longer manufactured.)They just did not want to do their job and thats incompetence as far as Im concerned. What a win fall for R.E. All the repairman does is show up and he gets paid. LG should refund all my money for the trouble I have been put through. A refrigerator that cost me about $2400 should last (in my book) at least 10 yrs before something goes wrong with it. LG mindset, its time to buy a new one in 6 to 7 yrs. What a shame and what happened to pride in the products we buy in the USA? Wasteful! Wasteful! Wasteful! I shall go on to order the parts myself and try to repair my refrigerator. What happened to the days when you would call a repairman and he would have the parts in his truck and hed fix it right then and there?

I purchased a double door with bottom freezer, an LG refrigerator model LFD22860. One year after purchase, the cover on the electronic control started to melt (was covered under warranty). Two years later, the right side door seal ripped, and I called the warranty service line. I was told it’s the first time they hear of this problem, and that my warranty was over anyway. I had it fixed by a local repair company at $189.71 for a seal. Immediately within 24 hours, the door was rubbing with other side and started to get damaged. I called the service company to verify if it’s an alignment issue, but the doors are fixed on dowel pins and cannot be aligned! The only thing we could do is to put Vaseline to the doors often (RIDICULOUS). Anyway, even with Vaseline both sides, it ripped within a few months (I wasn’t about to pay $400 for seals!). It doesnt end here. Upon closer inspection, we noticed approximately ten cracks everywhere inside the fridge. This absolutely DISGUSTED me. We paid $2200 for this pile of junk, thinking it would last us for some time. Im fed up of big name companies getting away with cheap products sold in todays market. All they could tell me was that my warranty was over and that they cant do anything about it. Since then, I have never bought another product from them, and never will including my family & friends.

Piece of crap top loading washer Model WT1701CW does not work! This washer, I was told by the salesman at Conns, with which I am no longer doing business, was programmed by a woman. It ought to make her and her environmentalist friends happy, because it saves water. But if you want your clothes washed, youre out of luck, because they will not be submerged below the water level of only a few inches! LG is no help at all, refusing to do anything. No software upgrade, no repair, no reprogramming, NOTHING! Wash day at my house involves using a BUCKET to fill the machine to a level adequate to wash, then repeating the bucket brigade for rinsing, EVERY LOAD, EVERY TIME! Do not buy LG products. I also have an expensive Plasma TV that failed after only 12 years. What a rip off!

The knobs are not safe just brushing against them just as other reviewers have said and you have gas leaking into your home-no safety lock position. The oven warms up to 500 degrees no matter where you set the temperature, I have burnt everything I put into this oven as I cannot calibrate to get a correct 350 degree which is at where most baking is done! There must be some website or news outlet to alert the public of this piece of junk produced by LG. Will not be buying nor recommending any product made by LG. I purchased an LG washer and dryer WM2140CW about two years ago. The washer did not work correctly from day #1 of installation. The door would only seal if I pressed very, very firmly to enable the lock to engage. However, this issue was such that I was the only person strong enough to make it happen and even then, I would have to close several times over before I could get it to latch. After about four or five visits, changing boards, door locks, and finally a new door, it was fixed. Within the past few weeks, the washer now has suddenly stopped powering on when the button is pressed. Since these devices come with a whopping one year warranty, its now out of that coverage. If I unplug and plug back in, a spark will appear, every time, and it may or may not work for a load of laundry. I contacted LG and they had me do a hard reset, power off, hold the power button, plug back in. After establishing the hard reset was probably not going to do anything, they gave me the names of the local businesses which were authorized to work on the machine. Now, I am looking at parts and labor in access of the original purchase price of the machine. If you buy an LG machine, after coming to this website and seeing a 90%+ unsatisfactory rating, then you get you what you deserve. I know I certainly regret not checking some review sites before my purchase.

UPDATED 10/10/2020: DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS!!! So... Not only am I still to hear back from LG here (since that was their response on this website) but ever since the compressor was replaced, the in-door icemaker only works when I reset it, and the extra ice maker in the freezer doesnt work at all anymore. Once again, it will take about 10 days to get somebody here to check it out, at which time I have no doubt it will then take another 2 weeks to get it fixed. Also, the finish on our 3 y/o LG washer is now peeling away below the detergent drawer. Totally disgusted by the product quality and customer service of this company.UPDATED 9/28/2020: STARDATE: 09282020 CAPTAINS LOG: 3RD ENTRY. LG replied to my prior review that they could not reach me as they had no contact info, case number, etc., but stating that they really want to help me out and make things right. Mind you, my review specifically noted their chosen repair service, A&E, so why they couldnt track me down is inexcusable and just further illustrates their apathy. Anyway, in their reply they asked me to reply in private with my contact info, which I did. After 2 weeks, I still have yet to hear back from them. Stay tuned...ORIGINAL REVIEW: Compressor failed after only 2.5 years of service. (Compared to its predecessor GE still going strong after 10 years.) After LG diagnosed bad compressor over the phone, we had to wait for two weeks for a service technician to visit. Instead of bringing the new part he simply confirmed the diagnosis and said it would take another two weeks to order and install the parts. The tech who ultimately replaced the compressor (with basically the same model, oh great!) stated that the initial tech was not telling the truth because they all carry LG compressors in their trucks as the problem is so common and widespread. We initially had to discard hundreds of dollars in food, plus we had to constantly buy ice and live out of ice chests in the garage over the course of nearly one month without the LG. Turns out there is a class action suit because of LG knowingly continuing to use the same faulty compressor, so guess Ill be adding to this complaint in a couple years!

Shortly, after purchasing it (6 months) the ice maker went out and LG sent a tech to my home. The repair lasted for one month. The tech again came out and had to repair the computer unit. Three months later, the ice maker and the temp. controls went out. Again, they where replaced. Shortly, there after they again went out. Since then LG has refused to help as the product is out of warranty and discontinued. I am very disappoint with the resolution. They smelled dirty when they came out. The repairman said that the machine was working properly and proceeded to completely fill the tub to prove it to me. I have since found that the only way to get a full tub of water to cover my large loads is to run the washer on Bulky Bedding with Heavy Soil Level. (Nice trick for the repairman to use). How much longer will LG (I dont know about other so called HE makers) be allowed to dupe the public into buying these machines? I bought it to save energy and water. In March 2009 I purchased an LG TROMM washer model WM2487HWM. I loved the washer and dryer. Until October 2012, the washer suddenly without any prior dripping warnings, developed a gushing leak when filling. I had a waterfall in my finished basement, the ceiling destroyed and furnishings soaked. The first floor where the washer was the hardwood flooring buckled a couple days later. I took it with a grain of salt, just clean it up and fix it. The part cost less than $10.00. There are YouTube videos to show you how to replace it. The hardest part of changing it was getting the heavy washer moved out to access the back to remove the cover. Part replaced, washer working fine, I am happy. Now just clean up the damage it caused. December 13, 2015, the same thing happened again. I am not taking this mess very well a second time. I should have realized by all the videos this was not just a fluke, but a reoccurring problem. I would not recommend a LG washer to anyone unless you have a damage proof place to put it.
