I purchased a DLEX3250W model LG dryer in December of 2014. I have had problems with lint screen since early on. The screen does not fit its holder and clothes will catch on the corner and twist when drying causing the clothes to wrinkle terribly. During Memorial weekend of the year (2016) when drying towels, the dryer stopped heating. When I contacted the LG technician, I was very disappointed with the fact that I could hardly understand him, and he did not seem to know anything except what he was reading. He said that it may be the electric plug and we probably needed to call an electrician. We tested the plug and it was fine. He also said something about lint buildup and that was untrue. We ended up purchasing a new Maytag dryer since we had family up for the weekend. I am very disappointed in this purchase and will not buy another LG product again.

We got our LG refrigerator at Costco two years ago. Then we started having problems with our ice maker. We called it in and LG sent somebody out here to replace it about three times already. They have replaced everything that they could possibly replace for the ice maker and its still not making ice. Its inconvenient for us. But the technicians have been good and theyve helped us with all the questions weve had.

LG has the worst customer service Ive ever experienced. The ice maker shorted and caused a fire in the freezer. The potential was there to extend into my home and cause major damage. In a nut shell, LG feels that because the fridge is out of warranty they wont do anything about it. After seeing pictures of the damage, they said it wasnt a manufacturers defect and things eventually begin to fail. Please consider another brand if youre buying a fridge. LG couldnt care less about a dangerous event, or working with a customer to resolve an issue.

Bought higher-end LG Electric stove, in 2014 and in about 3 yrs the heating elements are going bad. As of 2 weeks ago, the front right element is useless. Now the 2 left elements are acting up. If I turn on the back left one, the front left one also turns on, creating a dangerous (unexpected) hot surface issue. In all the years and all the different places I lived in, weve only had lower cost non-LG models, that never failed. This time we paid more and in no time its going to hell. I will never consider LG for any category of products.

I purchased a Top Load LG HE washer in Nov 2013. It replaced a 27 year old Kenmore that I never put a dime into repairing. I cried the day that washer died. It has been two years of hell with this machine. UE are the letters now that make me want to throw a two year old tantrum. I have literally seen these two letters on the front panel of this washer more times than I can count. I am now keeping a log of every load and how many times the UE appears before I can actually get a load done. It is usually a minimum of 2. Every part that can possibly be replaced has been done.I have one final repair man coming in a week. He just needs to say that at this point the washer is unrepairable and I will get a replacement. It doesnt matter what type of load I do, sheets, towels, jeans, every one will be UE. If I could take a sledgehammer to it I would. My question now is who is making a decent washing machine that doesnt cost a fortune? I think we need to go back to the old style of set your wash level, temp and what type if load. I want to tell my machine what to do and not the other way around.Im so tired of taking all day to do one load of wash. My old machine would take 25 minutes top. A cotton normal cycle with fabric softener takes 1 hour and 11 minutes in this machine, really??? LG, go back to the drawing board and give your customers a machine that we can say good thing about and not turn grown women into raging lunatics who just want to throw a tantrum every time they do a load of laundry!

We bought a side by side Refrigerator Freezer in June of 2015, on August 10th it decided to die. I believe it was the compressor. I called LG and they gave me 3 different numbers to call. Two of them were out of state. I called the first number and they said they would charge me $600 just to come look at it, and then they would have to order parts. In the mean time all of my food was spoiling. Neither of the other two numbers answered their phones. Obviously no one was available to even look at the refrigerator. Its not like We were forced to go buy a new one you can go for weeks without a refrigerator. I will never buy another LG product, as the reviews show they make defective products.

5 years ago we bought 6 brand new LG appliances and since then we have had to replace 3 of them. Stove, Refrigerator and Microwave. Two others ones have been repaired twice each. The microwave control panel has had to be replace 3 times in which LG covered the part but we had to pay labour. The first time that was almost 200 dollars and the second time it was 150. The last time it broke we said screw it and took it to the country and used it as target practice. We did phone LG and said pay for the part and labour and they said NO as it was out of warranty. I said this is the 3rd time the same part has stopped working and was told too bad so sad. Dont buy LG appliances. Even if they came into my house and said here is brand new appliances and a million dollars I would tell them to get the F out of my house. Not worth the trouble.

I bought a new LG washer and dryer from Home Depot. It has been the worst experience ever. The dryer has never heated so I called LG and they said it’s not vented properly. It is. One week later the dryer sparked flames over to the washer twice causing burns on the sides of both machines. I have talked to multiple people and supervisors with no resolve. They sent a repairman after two weeks and he told them there is a problem inside the dryer and the issue still remains unsolved. They are the worst company with the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. If you buy an LG good luck. I suggest anyone else.

I purchased this LG refrigerator on 7/9/2014 delivered it on 7/15/2014. From day 1 the fan made terrible noise. Called LG 2 weeks after I bought and they make you do that self diagnosis. The customer service person on the other end after being on the phone for 55 minutes tells me there is nothing wrong. I hung up and decided to live with it. After about 2 months of that then I started having trouble with the ice maker not making ice again. I called to be told to do that diagnosis then they tell me that I dont have enough water pressure for the ice maker but it worked with the water pressure to that day. And they tell you if they come out and its what they said they will charge you for the service call. Well again I gave up. A few more months go by and now the freezer will not freeze my food and I lose a whole bunch of food. I call. They send someone out that tell that I am leaving the freezer door open but they replace the grill assembly in the freezer that lasts for another month. Again the freezer stops freezing and they send someone different. Same thing is told to me. Im leaving the door open but again he replaces the grill assembly. Well that only lasted a month. Now the freezer, ice maker and the fridge are all not working. I call again on a Thursday. I have lost everything in the fridge and freezer. They call the repair guy who cannot come out for 7 days. He shows up to tell me he now needs to replace the main board and defrost control and that will take 3-5 more days. No refrigerator for 2 weeks and LG tells me thats the best they can do. How many times do you have to have something repaired before they give you a new working one?

In May 2013, I purchased a LG refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer, model LFX25991ST. The freezer stopped cooling in Aug 2013. Repairman replaced the freezer fan grill and the main circuit board. In Feb 2014 same thing happened. Again lost food to thawing. Repairman once again replaced freezer fan grill, this time with a built-in heater that was supposed to prevent it from icing up and malfunctioning. The repairman, for the second time, also replaced main circuit board. 24 Mar 2014 freezer again stopped working. Have to wait another week to get a repairman to evaluate it. Unprofessional technical support. Unhelpful customer service. We purchased the LG electric range model LSE4613ST last October 2017. In May 2018 the two big front burners ceased operating well - now it takes twice longer time to heat up than it used to be, and while Im cooking the burners dont keep the heat evenly. I called LG customer service and on May 29th, 2018 (I took a day off at my work), LG technician came to my house and just by holding his hand close to the working burner was able to tell me that there is no issue. Manual diagnostic? I explained to him that it was not like that for eight months that I used the range every day, and I wanted to show him during the cooking process what is wrong, but I didnt get the chance, for he left my house telling me that he knows better.I called customer service and complained. To my surprise, I was told that I have a scheduled visit for June 6th, 2018, in order to replace some parts. Believe it or not, on that date, nobody came and moreover nobody contacted me to cancel the appointment. I spent my day off my work for nothing. I called LG customer service again, just to hear that they know nothing about the visit and that my file was transferred to the other department. Then I escalated the issue to the social media. A couple of weeks later Ive got a call from LG to inform me that the next Friday Im going to receive a call from the Executive department. No more details were supplied. Guess what? Nobody called.I called LG back next week and I was told that Friday was a mistake, and Im going to receive the call some day later. Im still waiting. LG failed again. Now about very DANGEROUS issue - the knobs of the several models, including mine, are easily turned on just by bumping the knob. You wont even notice it. If you google the issue, there are so many negative comments about the stove. Here some of them: https://www.consumeraffairs.com/homeowners/lg_range.html

We bought the latest LG washer (WT5070CW) and dryer (DLGX5171W) that have the glass doors. BIGGEST MISTAKE. I used to have the GE washer and dryer, basic machines and they did a far superior job. Unfortunately it broke down and hence I had to buy a new pair. GE/Maytag/Whirlpool are the only brands with good household appliances. If youve never used a good machine before youd never realize. My clothes arent clean enough. High Efficiency is crap. It uses very little water to evenly wash clothes. I got over that hump by trying different options. Yet its very rough on clothes. It also takes VERY long to wash. My old GE took only 45 mins to do an excellent wash. The same now takes 1 hr 47 mins! The dryer doesnt dry fully. Works ok only on small clothes like small towels etc., things like bed sheets dont dry evenly. Large loads irrespective of the size of the garment dont dry evenly. I gave 1 star because its required. Its not worth any.

Purchased a Front Load washer less than 3 years ago and it will not power on. Paid an electrician to come and verify that the outlet was getting power even though the same outlet powered other devices (Im thorough). Unplugged the device for a while then plugged it back in. It powered on then went right back off. Called LG support and she had me spin the drum, trip the breaker again, unplug it then plug it back up. Asked if it was purchased over a year ago and when I said yes I was pushed off to a retailer that supports their product at my own expense of course. I told her that its sad that others are having issues with the washers and that you pawn them off once the year warranty is up. The high reviews that are online need to removed or at least state the constant issues with the machine. Spending over $1000 on a washer that doesnt perform up to par and becomes useless in 2-3 years should have some type of recall for manufacturing defects!

We purchased an LG lsxs26326s side by side refrigerator (as well as a microwave, oven & dishwasher as we remodeled our kitchen) in April 2015. On Dec 16, 2016 it had stopped cooling. Fortunately, we have a 20+ yr old Kenmore in the basement we were able to move all the food to. Had our own repairman come out Sunday to see what the problem was. Determined the compressor in our ONE AND A HALF YEAR OLD refrigerator had gone out. Now, this part has a TEN YEAR warranty through LG (hm, maybe that should have told us something) HOWEVER, only the PART is covered NOT labor. Sunday night I call LG Service and after a very long and frustrating discussion with someone who barely spoke English, I was informed a Letter of Authorization would be sent by email to our repairman so he could order the part. I requested a rush on that letter as it was a week until Christmas & we had family coming from out of town. Monday, no letter. Tuesday, still no letter. I call again Tuesday night and am informed they tried calling the repairman and got no answer or return call (I know this is a lie as I spoke with them that day to confirm contact from LG). At this point, I demand to have the matter escalated and to speak to a manager. I get put on hold for a while and FINALLY get a manager, whom I might add speaks English clearly (YAY). She proceeds to tell me something completely different than I was told by the previous two reps. Stating they have to talk to the tech while they are at the refrigerator and able to guide them through what to check. THEN, once diagnosed as the compressor the letter of authorization would be sent so the tech could order the part, which would take 3-5 DAYS to receive!!!Now, I am getting angry. She tells me they had available techs on the 20th, 21st & that day (22nd) so I could have just had their tech come out and diagnose it and they would have had the compressor the next day. I told her there was no way in hell I was paying THEIR techs an arm & a leg to fix the refrigerator I purchased a YEAR & HALF ago when my guy was only charging me $60/hr!!! Her response was simply OH. Finally, she send the letter of authorization by email while still on the phone with me. Wednesday morning, I call my tech & they have the email (THANK GOD). They order the part. Thankfully, it comes on Thursday and our guy comes out that evening to replace it. Now, a month later, we are having problems with the ice maker not making ice. UGH!!! I wish we would have just gone with different appliances. I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase another LG product. Purchasing these appliances has literally been a nightmare. They should have paid us to take them for what we have been through with all these appliances!

Although the purpose of a washing machine is to clean clothes, my LG front-loading machine washing machine makes my clothes and bedding dirty, covering them with disgusting dark brown or blackish stains!!! This happens in spite of my doing everything I can to keep the tub and door clean: regularly washing the tub using the tub-clean cycle with appropriate cleaners, always leaving the door and dispenser drawer open, draining and cleaning the pump filter (although this always entails water all over my floor since the drain is much too low to put an adequate container underneath to catch all the water)... Its no use! I could even live with the machines constant struggles to be balanced enough to do a proper spin, but this dirtying of what Im expecting to get clean is just too much. Shame on you LG for selling a product that does the opposite of its expected function!

Purchased an LG fridge model LFX29945ST from our local Home Depot. Weve had this fridge for almost 2 yrs now but we have had a number of issues after the first year of owning this POS. First issue is the annoying high pitch noise that comes from the compressor at times. Called Tech support and was told that our Fridge was not leveled and was most likely the cause of the issue. Our fridge is perfectly leveled and our house is only 2 yrs old with a perfectly leveled floor. Second issue is the lower freezer door will not close all the way at times due to ice building up on the tracks for the Freezer Door not allowing the door to seal the Freezer completely. I occasionally have to chip the ice away so the freezer door will close all the way so our food does not thaw out in the freezer. The last and final issue that weve had with this fridge, is at the bottom of the control panel next to the water and ice dispenser one day just started discoloring and peeling and now our fridge looks worse than our previous fridge that was 6 yrs old. I expected better quality for the price and wish I never bought this Fridge at all. DO NOT BUY!!

I purchased the LG HE top loader (machine # WT 4801CW) in December 2011. It has never effectively cleaned a single load of clothes. Shirts come out of the wash still smelling of perfume/cologne; sheets come out with large dry spots where they never got wet. Washing in cold or hot water does not matter, nor does setting the washer on the highest level for soil and the extra high level of spin speed. I do not use a clothes dryer, so I use fabric softener but the clothes are so wrinkled even if I remove them the instant the cycle stops that every single item would need to be ironed. Even when washing very small loads (one pair jeans, 2 shirts, 2 pairs socks) there are dry spots on the clothes until the final rinse cycle, so they are obviously not getting clean. This machine will not remove any stain at all, no matter how minor. It also takes over 60 minutes to wash one load and has increased the number of loads I do a week despite having a much larger capacity than my previous washer. Luckily, when we bought it at Best Buy, they provided a 30-day return policy. My new washer will arrive this weekend. Im back to a front load Frigidaire, which is what I had before. I never had a single complaint about that machine. It lasted 18 years and never had a single service call, cleaned every single thing we ever put in it, and was very inexpensive to operate as well as having a much more reasonable price than anything else we saw on the market.

This product (LG WM5000HWA) has been shaking violently. I reported this issue and LG sent a technician out to look at it. He claimed that I was not using HE detergent. Lied! I purchased this from Costco and concierge tried to have LG come out again. Second technician came and did not do service. They saw the machine spins and machine shook violently with the correct amount of HE detergent used. They then called LG second tier support and when the machine shook the one that was suppose to see it said his video froze. They couldnt stay any longer due to their next appointment and told me that they would report this to. Lied! At this time I have been on the phone with Costco for 15 times and hours or more each time. Distressed and disgusted with the lies blaming the consumer for not using the wrong detergent and claimed they didnt see any shaking. LG then scheduled their in subcontractor to take a look for second opinion, took a day off. They didnt showed up or called for no showed. Costco called and had another subcontractor to come a look. This technician was ethical and did report that this machine shook but LG didnt do anything. 3 months now and they said their machine has no issue when this twin wash washing machine shook horrible. I had them on video that this shook and technician did see it but they refused to look at the videos I recorded! I will never buy any LG products and will discontinued my membership with Costco. This product is the latest line of product with only several months of use. Disappointed for them wasting my time and my money on on this purchase. Oh tech even told me I had to wan socks with socks separated. Pants with pants. Shirts with shirts. These idiots talk to you like you come from the Stone Age. Im in IT and work with software and hardwares. I hope these will eventually blowed up and eventually LG will lose 1 billion dollars due to defective product that they claimed the user is doing it!!! LG LDG3036 ST Gas Range. I really like the double ovens and the design of this gas range, but I am completely dissatisfied with how the stove top burners work. The size of the flames around the burners vary considerably, so food will burn in one part of the pan and be barely simmering in another part, making it very, very difficult to cook food evenly. All 5 burners have the same problem. An LG technician came to fix it for the second time today with no improvement. I just got off the phone with customer services Executive Services and was told there was nothing more they could do, and that the stove was functioning according to the manufacturers standards and they will not replace or let me return it. So I paid $1300+ for a stove that doesnt cook any better than a primitive campfire. I have cooked on gas stoves for more than 30 years and have never had this problem. Cooks buy gas stoves so they have more heat control, not less. Id suggest LG needs to reconsider their manufacturing standards as their current one is unacceptable.

Three months ago I called LG to ask who the authorized repair rep is for my area (I do not live in a remote area). Two separate phone calls and 45 minutes out of my life and still they could not tell me who to call in my area. By the time I got a repair, the washer was completely seized and cannot be repaired. The washer went to the dump today. LG gas range, purchased July 2015, not sure of the model. Beautiful appliance (hence the 2 stars instead of 1), but some issues: The 2 front burners on the cook top (the ones I use most), dont always want to ignite (have to check visually to make sure). A few months ago, started noticing that the oven would preheat correctly but not hold its temperature, so couldnt rely on it. Started getting F9 Heat Error while attempting to preheat, then the igniter failed entirely and had to be replaced. Cost me a few hundred bucks.Tonight, about an hour after turning the oven off, we heard a *crash* in the kitchen. I ran out to find that the outer glass on the oven door had shattered into a million bits and there was broken glass all over the floor. No one in the kitchen and nothing in the oven. Hours later, Im still hearing cracking and glass falling. This is dangerous. Thankfully it didnt happen while my dog was home alone. Not sure what to do at this point, whether its worth the cost of another repair or if I can even trust it, should I decide to go that way. The range was pricey, and Id hoped to get good and reliable use of it for a long time. Didnt expect to have problems within 3 years, certainly not 2 major problems within a month. Never bought LG before, probably wont again. Pretty disappointed, and wouldnt recommend to others, based on my experience.

I purchased an LG dryer in March 2015 due to the great ratings and owning a lot of LG products. Within a year I started having trouble with my dryer: no heat. I called several times and customer service said it wasnt their unit. They said it was my venting system or electrical. Had someone come out. Nothing wrong with electrical. Tore dryer apart. No lint nothing plugged from lint basket to outside vent. Finally after 5 months they honored their warranty. Took repair company 3 weeks to fix the dryer. Heater and sensor replaced. Not even 6 loads later same issue. So I called corporate office where I was told they were not going to fix my dryer nor were they replacing it. I am not a happy customer. Save your money and purchase a kenmore. I WILL NEVER own another LG product again. They cant stand behind their products. I gave them a 1 star rating because you cannot give them a -5 star rating.

I bought an LG refrigerator with two doors side by side and two freezer doors underneath from Best Buy at west farm mall in Farmington, Connecticut three years ago. The new fridge price was $2,100. Last month the fridge stopped working. Do not know what the problem is. Reading all the reviews with the same problem, I was wondering if I should even call the repairman and spend and lose additional money on this lemon of a refrigerator. If anyone is filing a class action law suit, please let me know.

My boyfriend and I ordered a LG fridge online on June 25th for $1804.13. It was to be delivered on June 30th. My boyfriend left work to meet LG at our house. Two men took the fridge off the truck and out of the box and the back was damaged all smashed. My boyfriend told them we did not want that one and they took it back. LG never contacted us to when a new one would be delivered. I called them (on hold too long) and they told me they could not get another one here until July 11th. I couldnt believe it, I asked why so long and LG said that is the next date a truck could get to my location. I thought since it was their mistake maybe they should go a little out of their way for a customer, but no, there was nothing they could or would do. So 12 days without a fridge. We had to use a cooler just for water, milk and half for our coffee, buying ice constantly. We went out to eat a lot, which is really expensive. It was a nightmare! I called LG again and complained to a Manager/Supervisor and had to go through about an hour on the phone explaining the story over and over until I finally could get them to connect me with a supervisor and he was not very helpful but he finally said once the fridge was delivered LG would send me a check for $100.00 for my troubles, but I had to call back once the fridge was delivered. I asked why I had to wait and he stated that is their policy. I think they want you to forget about it once you get your new fridge. Well I didnt. I called back and asked for the same Supervisor, I did write down his name, Jerold. After being on hold again and explaining my story again to 2 different employees, I finally talk to Jerold and he said they will send me a check in the mail. Now it is Sept 6th and no check came in the mail.I called back LG asked to speak to Jerome, they couldnt get me Jerome, said they have a lot of Supervisors located all over and I would have to speak to whoever picked up my call. I was on hold for 20 minutes. A woman answered. I asked if she was a Supervisor, she said yes then she asked me for my phone # and put me back on hold for 5 min. She came back on the phone and said she didnt see my order. I then told her the whole situation and said maybe she should have asked me what the issue was before she put me on hold so quickly. She told me that there was no Jerome that worked there. I said it was the same # that I previously called, twice. Then I told her that the order was under my boyfriends phone # and I have the order # and the model # and sku #. She wasnt really listening, but looked up my boyfriends # and asked for the model # and said she saw no order for us.I couldnt believe it. The new fridge is in our kitchen that they delivered. I yelled at her, I just couldnt get over the way they treat customers. So I went on the computer and had a live chat on their website. The woman on the computer found the order under my boyfriends phone #. Maybe they should find a better way to keep track of orders (maybe by the order #) but she said that she had spoke to the woman, Supervisor, that I just got off the phone with and there is nothing they could do for me. Then said that they do not have a Jerome that works there and they do not give back any type of reimbursement or refund for bad service or unhappy customers. It is not their policy. I guess it not their policy to keep customers happy. It was their fault I went without a fridge for as long as I did. It was their fault I had to spend a lot more than I should have on food for two weeks, after giving them One Thousand Eight Hundred dollars.I think LG Supervisors do it on purpose, tell you to call back once the fridge is delivered, wait for a check in the mail, all tactics to make you give up. Well I didnt give up and it got me nowhere. LG also tried to say it was a Home Depot issue. Well Home Depot connected me to them, and why did a Supervisor from LG, Jerome, say he would send a check in the mail. I called Home Depot and they said they wouldnt do that, they would have reimbursed some of our payment. I have never been this angry but we spent a lot of money and hassle over this, and it is not over $100.00. It is about the way I was treated.

We have purchased an LG refrigerator that is less than a year old. We reported an issue that when you shut one door the other door pops open. While fridge still technically worked, this isnt supposed to happen (especially with amount we paid); it also affects the ice and temperature and ruined food. We have had two other brands of fridges (Frigidaire and GE) for over 20+ years and this one we can only speak of in terms of months. It is not energy efficiency and does not work properly. We reported the issue to LG and they sent their own technician. (This is after we tried the online tips to lean fridge as far back as possible, etc.) The technician came and did not even touch fridge. When we told him issue he said it was a design flaw and to contact a specific number. We called and they said they would get back to us within 24 hours - spoiler alert and first warning sign, they did not.A few days later I called customer service. The person was helpful and gave me a supervisor number to contact the following day. I did and they set up another appointment which I was told would be the last because they would make sure their own technician fixed it. The technician no-showed. I was persistent and called LG multiple times. In total the technician no showed three times. I used four vacation days and my fridge does not work properly. My customer service was mixed - in fact, one person emailed and said This can happen with top mounts because of the way the duct work is set up. followed by The customer just needs to push on both doors to make sure they are closed all the way before walking away. To me, this wasnt an acceptable response after multiple contacts and only a few mere months of ownership. Half of my customer service responses were terrible in tone and service. I was constantly pushed off and told to just schedule another appointment. I contacted customer service over 12 times, not including the four appointments, three of which LG no-showed after a 5 hour waiting block for appointment time. There were also several times - at least 3 (not including appointments) in which LG said they would follow up with me and never did. We can only talk about our LG product in terms of months. Our other fridges were a Frigidaire and GE unit which lasted 20 years and 22 years respectively. This LG fridge has only lasted a few months. In fact, its basically only worth the $50 my electric company will give me under their program to encourage replacement of energy inefficient units. I would not recommend this product or the customer service. I have copies of my contact, emails, and chat responses and summaries of my phone calls as I plan on following up. What good is a fridge door that makes another one open when you shut it? Apparently this is a common issue that LG has yet to address or fix but just keeps pushing down the line. I hope we can prevent other people from making the same mistake. If I can edit the post after submitting, I will share some of the poor customer service responses and a video of the issue, but I wanted to submit this as soon as possible.

Model WT4970CW LG WaveForce True Balance. Just read several complaints about the LG washing machine. Bought in June 2013 from Best Buy and has consistently had an EU error on more than off. Tried balancing it with a leveler but as soon as it didnt like a load (light loads mostly), it would rattle loudly and move!!! Yes I put up with it for this long but when I went to ConsumerAffairs and saw all the complaints on this model. I called LG who promptly told me it was out of warranty and I could buy a one year warranty for $349.00 or a 60 day warranty for $224.00. After reading the continuing problems after repair, we are going to put this money into a new washer. Im going back to Maytag. Had it for over 15 years and never a problem!!! I agree LG=lousy garbage. This appliance needs to be taken off the market!!!

Best Buy honored our extended warranty and replaced our LG washer after it
Best Buy honored our extended warranty and replaced our LG washer after it failed to function after the recall software fix caused the machine to continuously give the uE, unbalanced error code. LG is trying to turn this issue into a warranty issue, rather than accepting responsibility for their failed software fix. Additionally, we were bombarded with extended warranty offers from LG between the time of the recall in December 2012 and the time we finally received our recall notice in early September 2013. We dont think this was a coincidence.Kudos to Barbara, Dave and Andrea at Mansfield, OH Best Buy. Best Buy refunded our original purchase price, pro-rated a refund of our unused extended warranty and gave us a discount on any new washer of our choice. We replaced the machine with a Samsung front loader since we know how to avoid the odor problems caused by using too much detergent and fabric softener in front loaders. My wife was adamant that we not purchase another LG product.

WT7200CW - Cold Water Valve broke, still not fixed and it has been 2-1/2 months. LG forgot to send order to Appliance Company to fix. Now, company cant get part, so we are waiting on that. We are retired and do 1 load every 8 days, and it still broke after 2 months. LG customer service very inefficient and I talked with 4 to 5 different people to try and just get the warranty to fix machine. Got 2nd date for repair and Appliance Company actually received the order from LG to fix. The clerk didnt tell repairman that it was cold water valve, so he didnt come out because have to order it. That was August 24th, and it is September 14th, still waiting on part to come in.This is 3rd LG product to purchase in 9 months, and it will be the last. Customer service didnt care at all that this broke so soon and that they didnt send the order for the first fix. Bought this machine because its supposed to not get unbalanced, because of a tube around the tub. Wrong, it still does it. Our Maytag was as good, and it was 7 years old. Stay away from LG products. They do not care how their products perform.

We purchased a 23 cubic foot French door refrigerator. Unfortunately we did not purchase an extended warranty. Within three years, the first problem was the ice maker, which LG repaired at no cost. The second problem came when a handle for a crisper broke off and now the fan motor now sounds like a motor boat. Model number LFC23760ST. My wife and I purchased this refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer at Best Buy at the recommendation of the sales person. It seemed to be a good refrigerator until we used the ice maker. The ice maker is designed very poorly. As the ice cubes begin to build up in the container the ice begins to fall out of the back and underneath the freezer drawer and causes the drawer to get stuck. This happens on a constant basis whenever the container gets close to being two thirds full. Another downfall of the refrigerator is the crisper shelf and Im sure that all the other glass shelves have similar problems. From what I am able to determine the shelves are made of tempered glass. This is the first time I have taken the shelf out to clean. I did not take the other shelves out to clean, just the crisper shelf as Ive always cleaned them in place. I first left the glass shelf sit for about 15 minutes while I cleaned out the inside of the refrigerator and other parts. I then began to wash the glass shelf with lukewarm soapy water, and then I rinsed it off and let it stand for about seven minutes. There was still some water on the glass so I decided to wipe it with a clean cotton hand tower. While drying the shelf the action from slowly and softly wiping the shelf of remaining water it made squeaking sound when a glass window is being wiped clean. Then all of the sudden the glass shelf exploded on the third or fourth squeak. I mean, the glass shelf literally exploded and shattered. It did not shatter in place as a person would assume. I had glass all over the sink, counter top, all the way onto the top of the range, onto the window sill and all over the floor in all directions with the glass shards being about five feet away. I even had shards hit me on my body, arms and face, but luckily none got in my eyes. As a handy man who cleans many apartment units and replaced appliances, Ive cleaned over a hundred of refrigerator glass shelves and never once had this ever happened. Guess I should have taken pictures and send it to LG. Now I have to replace it and its over $50 but Im going to call LG and see what they have to say. If you have ever seen an opera singer singing and breaking a glass, this was similar except on a larger scale.

Bought this in 2014. Had never washed worth a darn. I paid over $900 on this piece of junk. The fact that I have to start out on the bulky setting till it fills up, then turn it off, restarting it on power cleanse to get the clothes to move around makes it not so energy efficient! If not used in this manner, the lack of water causes the clothing to rub against each other causing pilling of the material. Doesnt clean properly either. We bought a $4000 LG refrigerator from Home Depot 13 months ago. When we first received it, we noticed the plastic piece above the fruit/vegetable drawers was broken. A repairman said that he would order the part and return once it was received to install it. That never happened. I let it go since the refrigerator itself was functioning fine. Unfortunately, as soon as the 1 year warranty expired, so did the refrigerator and the freezer. They both stopped working. The LG repairman states that he needed to order a part and would return. He did so, but unfortunately the new part that was installed didnt fix the problem. A few hours later the refrigerator also developed a loud noise as well as a vibration. The repairman was supposed to come back this morning, but LG called 30 minutes ahead of time to say that the repairman called in sick and they dont have an alternate repairman (even though I live in middle of LA). A repairman is scheduled to come back tomorrow. Well see what happens. Were upset because we have had to be inconvenienced several times for a repair to a very expensive appliance that is relatively new. We have 3 kids and cannot survive without a refrigerator! Im never buying an LG product again.

I am on my second LG 30.5 Cu Ft Door in Door French Door Refrigerator with Ice and water dispenser LFX31945ST. Price over 2.5k. Thank god for Best buy return and exchange policy or I would be screwed. After reviewing websites recommendation claiming this LG was the #1 rated product, I soon came to realize those rating are mostly on features and design. The reviewers do not actually keep that refrigerator in house and truly test the quality and durability of the product. So I purchased my brand new fridge - super excited. As a family of 5, I need something big and nice. During the next two week my wife kept noticing the freezer was not maintain the temperature. Give you an example: anytime you take out, ice cream, I normally had to let it sit on the counter for a minute before I was able to scope it out. With my top of the line LG Fridge I can take the container and squeeze with my bare hands. Call the LG tech, replace the motherboard. 24 hours later the whole fridge failed, all food lost. Call Best buy, I believed in the product and the review. This must of been a unique experience. Today is day 14 and the freezer still does not freeze properly, sending it back. We purchased our matching washer dryer combo from Sears as part of our remodel on our bathroom when our prior set died for the 10th time in 6 years. However had I known that $20-$70 repairs would amount to less than the headaches I would now be dealing with, I would have kept those workhorses any day of the week. Not only does our washer smell like everyone elses no matter what remedy we try, but it leaks, and leaks, and LEAKS! Weve had it serviced 3 times in the last 6 mos. trying to replace things that were wrong from the motor to hoses to outlets and now find out theres lawsuits because of these issues. Because of cutting corners and faulty mechanisms I have to do more laundry, which causes more leaks, which causes more laundry, crazy cyclic cycle. When are we the consumers going to say ENOUGH and when is anyone going to have our backs to compensate and make this right for us? Im tired of paying and paying and paying while these companies continue to manufacture GARBAGE!!! My washer still leaks after dumping thousands of dollars down the drain! Thanks LG!!! On May 13 I received an email from LG.com saying the contact information for service center and reference number. I called the service center on that day and the guy said he did not get any work order from LG.com. On May 15, I wanted to speak with supervisor because all representatives copied the same script and no technician contacted me. The representative hung my call up. Finally on May 15, I got a service center number and contact them. On May 17, the tech guy came and check this machine. The rubber and wire ring are out and he needs to place order for new. The brand new washer dryer has issue at the rubber which is the main factor to keep water in! It is unexpectable and very dissatisfied experience with LG.com. The supervisor of customer service said only sorry for being delayed and she would not sent the part with overnight. Even though LG.com caused this unrealistic delay, they did not want show how they are sorry for this. I cannot trust their merchandise as well as their worst customer care. I have had a bosch ventless dryer for over 10 years. I know they can be finicky, and my Bosch definitely had its issues. When it came time to replace I thought I was going to be stepping up in terms of technology and quality with LG. The washer has been fine. The dryer started leaking on the second day I used it. The repair guy said it was leaking from the drum, rust had already started so he suggested I call and have LG bring a new unit. Second unit came and it started leaking immediately too. The leaking is about 1-2 cups of water that comes out of the bottom somewhere.A second issue is the dryer is constantly stopping on its own. Just about 10 minutes in the cycle it will stop and beep. To finish a whole cycle, the button has to be pushed about 4 times.I am in the process of having Home Depot switch this one out. Im tempted to just have them return it and take my money to Best Buy to buy a Bosch dryer, but then Ill have a mismatched set for the next ten years. Im so furious at this point because I did my homework and these dryers have been such a bust.

In 2012 LG issued a recall on a series of ranges due to a major safety issue many consumers experienced with faulty burners. The recall was issued in the first place to have the burners replaced BEFORE there was a fire or injury. However, I just discovered the recall yesterday, and after finding that our stove was subject to it, called LG today to schedule an appointment for repair. What I encountered instead was a stonewalling by the CSRs. I disclosed to them that we had not experienced any issues with the burners, but that as a precaution, we would like to have the repair affected. The CSRs were adamant that unless we had experienced a safety issue, they were not authorized to schedule an appointment. I then insisted that they schedule an appointment anyway, and that I would deal with the tech as to whether the repair was qualified under the recall.I was then finally transferred to another CSR to schedule the appointment. I had to once again go through my reasons for seeking to have the repair done, and since this CSR had internet access, I pointed her to http://www.lgelectricrangerecall.com/faq.php (The first CSR did not have access to this site). At q.3 of the faq, LG itself states that if you have not experienced these problems, you may still use your electric range, but you must still schedule a free in-home repair. Prior to reading this direction on their own website, the CSR was adamant that in order for her to schedule a repair, as a prerequisite, the consumer must be experiencing a problem with the burners. However, after reading it, she then consulted with her manager. After several minutes, the CSR came back on the line to schedule the repair. After I inquired as to what the manager said, she advised that as the direction conflicts with LGs policies, they would be removing the page from the website. I find this to be quite alarming, especially in view of the fact that at least 80 dangerous situations of the burner reaching extremely high temperatures, or not turning off, had been reported and are known to LG, and that over 161,000 ranges had been recalled. As they will be taking the page down soon, if you are interested in following up on this as a possible story, it would be prudent to visit it soon.

We purchased an LG washer and dryer set. The dryer works well, but the washer is a disaster. Our towels have an unpleasant musty smell just 1 day after they are washed. The rubber sleeve between the front panel and the drum is literally designed to trap moisture and grow mold. What a horrible design! We miss our old top loader Amana. That washer worked wonders on spots and dirtier clothes like playground pants with grass on the knees. Our front loader LG, on the other hand, is a piece of cr@p. We are waiting for this thing to develop any problem so we can replace it with a Bosch. Dryers works well. Washer doesnt get the clothes clean. It uses less water than our old washer but what good are water savings when the clothes dont get clean? We will check Amazon customer reviews to see which models to AVOID like the plague. Before buying this LG washer we were focused on efficiency but with LG efficiency came at the cost of less than clean clothes and smelly towels. Reliability is important but effectiveness is a very close second. A reliable, highly efficient washer is junk if it doesnt get the job done. To reiterate, stay away from LG clothes washers. The design of the drum, pump, and the drum seal is defective. It traps moisture and promotes mold growth. Also, the pump/filter assembly on these washers holds about 12 OZ of water at all times. We forgot to drain the filter assembly before going on a 3-week vacation. When we came back, the whole downstairs of the house smelled like sewer. The stench was coming from our wonderful LG washing machine. I had to flush it with 2 gallons of bleach! Stay away from LG washers! They are toxic!

Ive been married to my wife for 43 years and suddenly after buying the LG washing machine our clothes come out of the wash dirty. This has never happened before. LG is absolutely no help with the problem. Do not buy one of their washers, they are worthless. I have to rinse some of my clothes out by hand when they come out of the machine. Do not buy their products, expensive worthless pieces of equipment.

I bought an LG Fridge Model LSC 24971ST in October 2012. It stopped working June 2017. I made many phone calls to Customer Care (or No Care) Centre on Telephone 1-888-542-2623 continuously for five weeks but nothing was done. Finally LG got back to me and told me whatever the problem is, they will have it fixed for a flat rate of $229. I paid them $229, hoping that the problem will be solved now. Few days later an LG worker came to check the fridge, only to tell me that the fridge cannot be fixed. I would have to buy another $4000 fridge from LG. It was hard for me to believe this fridge cannot be fixed, so I called somebody else to have the fridge checked, which is when I found out that the compressor has stopped working and just needs to be replaced.LG was trying to CHEAT me and make me buy another fridge from them. They wouldnt even return the $229 flat rate that I paid them to have the fridge fixed. After arguing with them for weeks, they finally agreed that they will have the compressor replaced at the FLAT RATE of $229 but the part is NOT available for the time being. If such a BIG company like LG fails to find its own part, why I must suffer...? Weeks passed and they could not even find their own part. Bottom line is, LG COMPANY TRIES TO CHEAT YOU. The fridge could easily be fixed by replacing the compressor (which was still under warranty), but LG wanted to CHEAT me into just buying another $4000 fridge from them. They gave me a very hard to time; for months I kept arguing with them. Never buying an LG product ever again!

Earlier this year we purchased a new LG Washer (WM4270HWA) and Dryer (DLEX4
Earlier this year we purchased a new LG Washer (WM4270HWA) and Dryer (DLEX4270W) through The Home Depot. The washer was delivered and installed in our home on Feb 21st, 2015. The dryer arrived on March 2nd. Both machines operated beautifully for about 8 months. They are MUCH quieter than our previous 20+ year old machines, have a nice feature set, and save water. However, in early October, the washing machine developed a leak and dumped a LOT of water. Fortunately, we had taken the precaution of placing the washer in an overflow pan, so there was no apparent damage to our home. I initially contacted LG warranty support to have the washing machine fixed on October 6th, 2015. On the good side, I found their representatives to be quick to answer my phone calls and they were always courteous. On the bad side, they are completely ineffective and incompetent. Ultimately, I fixed it myself.6 October 2015, 9:45 AM EST, I called LG Warranty support to report the issue. I spoke with the representative and provided the washing machine serial number. The representative verified that the washer was under warranty and stated that I would receive a call in 2-3 days from the service scheduling team to schedule a service appointment. I requested and received an incident reference number. 8 October 2015, 11:10 AM EST, I contacted LG to check status on the service appointment. The representative indicated that scheduling team may take 3-5 business days to schedule an appointment.13 October 2015, 11:30 AM EST, I contacted LG to determine why I had not yet been contacted to schedule an appointment. I was informed that the Service Scheduling Team had started the search for a local service provider on the 8th and that the search should be resolved on the 15th. I was told that if they could not schedule an appointment, they would arrange to replace the machine. The representative stated that the time to resolve the service request was unknown. The representative also indicated that the request had been escalated to the top-tier scheduling department, but that it was not possible to check status or contact anyone in that department directly.15 October 2015, 5:55 PM EST, I received a phone call from an LG service representative. They had made arrangements to have the washer serviced and the service representative Jeff (last name & phone number omitted) would contact me shortly with appointment details. I called Jeff directly to confirm and received a message that his voicemail was full. I left a callback number. 16 October 2015, 8:10 AM EST Called Jeff again. The voicemail was still full. Left my callback number again. 1:40 PM EST Called Jeff again and left a voicemail. Jeff eventually returned the call and we scheduled a service call on 19 October.19 October 2015, Jeff arrived at the house and spent about an hour on the phone with LG. He did not disassemble the washing machine nor inspect it in any significant way. He did order a replacement pump. I was informed that the part should arrive later that week. 27 October 9:25 AM EST, I called and left a message for Jeff to find out status and set up a time for the repair. I requested that he call me back as soon as possible with this information. 2 November 2015, 8:00 AM EST, I called and left a message with Jeff to get status and schedule the repair. I requested a call back that day with status.6 November 2015, 7:20 PM EST, I called LG Customer Service to find out what was going on. The service representative was aware that a technician had been assigned and parts ordered. I explained that the technician had visited, ordered a part, and had been unresponsive for 3 weeks. She attempted to contact the technician while I was on hold and could not (no surprise, it was after business hours on a Friday). The service representative indicated she would contact the technician on Monday and call me with status. 7 November 2015, 1:00 PM EST - After a month with NO effective action and washing laundry at the neighbors house, I removed the top of the machine, ran a 15-minute cycle, and identified the source of the leak as a disconnected vent hose in the left rear corner of the washer. I Googled for service diagrams and found it was the hose at the top of part F430 in the diagram. 2:20 PM EST I called LG, explained the situation with the technician and my lack of satisfaction. I requested a service manual be sent immediately. The representative took my email address and claimed the service manual had been sent.3:00 PM EST I contacted LG via live chat and inquire whether the service manual had been sent. The representative on the chat stated he could not access the manual.3:25 PM EST, I called LG again. The representative read my email address back and it had been recorded incorrectly (though we had verified it on the phone the first time!). I verified the correct email address again and she resent the manual. 3:45 PM EST, I did a web search on LG drain vent hose routing and found a diagram showing the correct connection to a fitting on top of the washer drum. I reconnected the hose and since then the washer has been fine. The LG representative that I spoke with on 6 November did eventually call back and offered to start the scheduling process all over again with another service technician. I told her that their service was abominable and that I had repaired the issue myself. We were done. The service manual never arrived.I live in a major metropolitan area with over 1 million people within the county boundary. I am amazed that LG couldnt find a competent technician in the area that could provide prompt service. The inability to email a simple service manual after 3 attempts is equally ridiculous. I will say that most parts appear for the washer appear to be reasonably priced. In the course of my internet research, I found that most design flaws noted in earlier versions of the LG washer had been corrected in my washer. The fact that the hose popped off the fitting may have been a random occurrence. The machine has performed well since. Some closing thoughts: (1) Dont ever install ANY washing machine without an overflow pan that has been connected into your houses drain system, and (2) If you are considering the purchase of an LG appliance or other product, based on my experience, I wouldnt expect LG to honor their product warranties.

While working for my employer on the 9th floor, I smelled an electrical burning/fire coming from our snack room. I wasnt sure which machine it was coming from (snacks, soda, countertop water dispenser, coffee maker, or refrigerator). I later learned that the clock on the LG microwave was out and it was humming. When I opened the door of the microwave, the rotating glass was broken in pieces and the microwave was extremely hot like an oven. I immediately unplugged it, reported it to the leasing office and they notified the fire department. We are not replacing this microwave with another LG.

I bought a 4 door LG refrigerator. Its a French door on top with 2 freeze drawers in the bottom. I paid about $50 more to get a counter depth which is fantastic for the space in my modular home with an air vent in front of the space. This model has plenty of space in the refrigerator compartment. It looks like changing the water filter will be easy and convenient. It does have a drawer at the bottom which is nice but it would have been a better design if it would slide out when only one door is open on the refrigerator. You have to have both doors open to utilize the space. The same with the right side drawer that holds produce. You cant get it open all the way before the left edge hits the center strip of the left side French door. I have only had it a month so will have to do another review after 5 years. This LG is a replacement for a 4 1/2 year Samsung that had constant problems with the ice maker freezing up.. I Will never buy Samsung products again. Their Customer Service is atrocious.

This is a follow-up to my first complaint. We sent in the serial number lab
This is a follow-up to my first complaint. We sent in the serial number label and paperwork stating that we would not hold LG responsible for a hush money settlement of $264.00. The offer had expired while we were pursuing our legal options, so we called and talked to a gal named Courtney who said, “No problem. Send in the paperwork and we will honor the cash hush payment originally offered.” We received a phone call today from a person named Sunyung who originally had made the offer. She informed us that now the offer had gone down to $194.00, because Courtney had no authority to authorize a hush payout. Then, she proceeded to complain and tell me that communication between the people in customer service wasnt what it should be. I told her that sounded like an internal problem and I was not being paid to listen to her and try to figure out how the communication could be rectified within her department! I asked to speak to her superior, and she gave me to Michael. Michael told me that yes, the part was warrantied, but I got one of the small percentage of refrigerators that were unfixable, basically the lemon model, and thats just how the ball bounces. They still would not honor the warranty and told me since the fridge was now a month older, it was worth $70.00 less! This thing hasnt worked for 9 months! I think I will just wait for the class action suit that I am sure will be coming up in the next few years when a lawyer gets a hold of this and wants to make some easy money. I dont care if I get only an 18 cents payout. It is now the principle of the situation. I did tell Michael he could be president with all his doublespeak and asked him why they want to beat their customers up so badly. First, they lie about their warranties; then, they offer you hush money; then, they renege on that. No ethics with these people. Obviously, they have no faith in God because this is just not how you treat people. Life sometimes just isnt fair. This is one of those times.

And this machine makes all the clothes smell horrible. I was told by LG that this was the customer error and the machine needs to be cleaned monthly. Ive never heard of such ridiculousness. A HUGE disappointment. I also never had to post a negative review for any purchase Ive made but especially after I spoke with a rep who was rude and utterly useless, I felt the need to post. They all looked and appeared that its a nice unit and I was surprised at how quickly the compressor of the refrigerator went out. Ultimately, that was the problem. I purchased LG front load machine in June 2012, since then I am very unhappy and not at all satisfied with the cleaning of the machine. I have many LG products at my home and had no bad experience with any of them but since the day I purchased the front load LG machine, I regret the decision of buying LG product. In the span of 2 years of purchase of machine, I have called customer services on several occasions for help and few of your technician have visited my place as well. I did whatever was advised to me by your technicians, I am still not satisfied with the cleaning and the machine functioning. My sister and mother are using the same model of machine and they are highly satisfied but when they came to my place and washed clothes in my machine, even they found a problem in my machine cleaning which your technicians are unable to find. I feel as if I have been sold a LG product with false promises which is classified as mis-selling. I think customer satisfaction should be the priority of every brand rather than selling products. I, as a customer, feel as if I have been cheated. I need my machine to be replaced or else I will make sure to take this matter further. Thanks.

LG LDF6920ST Dishwasher - I bought this dishwasher in the spring of 2011 and in August 2014 the dishwasher will need to be replaced. This dishwasher was not abused and is in a 2 person household. Initially I smelled an awful smell of burnt electrical coming from the dishwasher and now it wont stay on. Im afraid it will catch the house on fire. An LG registered service person cost $89.00 for the service call and $150.00 per hour not including parts. I read online about other owners of this model dishwasher having to repeatedly change the motor and the water pump. I am going to replace this dishwasher after only 3 years use. I wont be buying another LG product anytime soon.

I purchased an LG electric oven about 2 months ago. Within the first 2 weeks of my purchase, the left front and back burners just stopped working. I called Home Depot, which gave me a number to contact for repair. I explained what happened and the first repair guy came with the stainless steel cover. After waiting all day, I told him that the cover was not the problem. He also agreed he needed the motherboard. So he rescheduled with me to come back. He returned and replaced the board after about a week. About 2 weeks later, the same two burners stopped working so we called back. Again, the repairman came to the house and brought another board and replaced it. This time it worked for 3 days and the same burners arent working again. I have called LG and complained each time. They tell me the same thing - that the tech has to determine that it is not fixable. I think this is absurd that you purchased a brand new product and are expected to keep getting it fixed. I purchased plenty of LG products and wanted to keep all the same brand, but you can be sure that I will never purchase an LG product again because they dont stand behind their product. I will be contacting Better Business and if I have to get a lawyer, I will do so. This is not acceptable and should not be tolerated by anyone. If something is faulty you, should get a new one immediately without question.

All of our appliances and most of our TVs are LG products. They will all be replaced with another brand when the time comes. The Linear Compressor in the french door refrigerators are known defects. Good news is that a class action lawsuit was filed against LG. I had mine diagnosed by a local repairman. He says he sees at least (2) of them every week and sometimes several more. Unfortunately, he was not an LG contractor so he could not get the compressor directly. I would have to contact LG and get authorization letter he can use to order the part and I would have to pay him for labor on installation. I didnt want to have to deal with LG (customer service sucks!!). I called their helpline and explained that I needed someone to replace the compressor that was covered under parts warranty. They said I would have to pay another diagnostic fee. The the tech could schedule the repair. A 2500 refrigerator that lasted (5) years and now I am paying to have it fixed. The Kenmore in my garage is over 20 years old and I have never had an issue with it. Fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me. I will not buy an LG appliance again. We bought a LG washer in 2009 and thank goodness we purchased the extended warranty. We have had so many problems and it has required numerous expensive repairs. In the first year under LGs warranty we knew it was a lemon. After four years of replacing numerous parts it is deemed irreparable. Our service person from the warranty company called LG and gave us a number to hopefully replace it. After six weeks of working with them we were given two reference numbers and felt confident that the problem was being solved and they had our initial sales receipt. We found out we have been working with a call center in the Philippines from a LG representative in Alabama. When I asked why they have indicated to us things were progressing he said you are dealing with people in the Philippines and they are going to tell you want you want to hear.In the end, I was told our washer had gone for final review and we would be contacted in 10 to 12 business days about its possible replacement since it is irreparable. When I called to find out why I had not heard back, I was given the run around again. It was only when I insisted several times on talking corporate that I learned we would have to go through the extended warranty company which was not the information we received at first. So for over six weeks we believed LG was handling this professionally only to find we had been given the run around and dealing with people who really did not understand what they were doing. I am very concerned about this kind of professionalism and why we werent told after numerous calls and all the information they had that they were not going to replace our washer. So if you have problems beware that even though you feel reassured the problem is being dealt with, it might not be. So why did they lead us on for five weeks and numerous phone calls? They could have told us initially we were on the wrong path.

We purchased an LG front load washer and dryer and they both work fairly well. However, the front of the washing machine is rusting! Yes rusting, right by the soap dispenser. It sounds ridiculous that after 4 years the machine is rusting, but worse than that was the companys response. LG does not care. They act like they care, they tell you they care, they express their sorrow, but they wont fix the issue. They do absolutely nothing! They expressed to me that I must continually dry that area. In the manual it tells you to keep it dry! Not that the design is bad, not that the dish should not leak, but that by not constantly drying that area it could rust! I asked if they ever heard of this happening and they said no. Then I searched online and found out, that was not the case. This is absolutely a problem! A $1,000 problem. Supposedly a reputable company but what a piece of garbage! My last LG experience for sure!

I purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator Model # 795.77729700 in August 2007. It was made by LG. On February 2, the refrigerator stopped cooling; on February 3 a Sears Repairman diagnosed the problem as a bad control board which, unfortunately Sears no longer stocked. Was advised that Sears Parts would do a search. Next day advised that LG no longer had the mother board available. So I have a 7 year old refrigerator that has a defective control board (part number 6871jb1423g) that LG no longer stocks nor any other parts store in the USA (after a Google search). Sears has offered me a $500 discount (per my extended warranty) toward the purchase of a new refrigerator.LG has been no help at all. Terrible customer service. Why would any appliance manufacturer stop stocking a critical repair part after 7 years for an appliance that should last much longer? I can only suggest planned obsolescence. NO ONE SHOULD EVER BUY AN APPLIANCE MADE BY LG WITH THIS KIND OF POLICY ON PARTS. I was able to find a company that says they can repair the control board and have sent it to them to see if it can be fixed for $100.

Now July of 2017 the compressor stopped working. TWO major components on a two year old refrigerator is ridiculous! The customer service at LG is unbelievable. And not in a good way. I called 5 times and got someone different each time. NO ONE CARES there. I was given the runaround for a month now. You wouldnt believe what I went through... I will NEVER buy another LG product, nor will I recommend to anyone. Beware...this company doesnt care! I am now buying a new fridge...after the one that I bought from LG is definitely a lemon. Trust me my new one wont be an LG! Their products are cheaply made and quality is poor. Do not buy! Customers dont matter!

Front loader machine is great--steam cycle/sanitary cycles are a PLUS. The only negative which really isnt a big deal but the labels designating cycles wears away. Maybe make a plastic replica that can be applied over the original markings. I have put my trust in LG for years--from dishwasher, refrigerators, big screen tvs---can be beaten.

LG Front Load Washing Machine bought in 2013 - This washer gets a horrendous build up of thick black mold in the rubber seal and makes the inside of the washer smell like mold and mildew. The seal has a rim with a deep ridge that makes it impossible to clean properly. My laundry does not even smell clean after I wash it. When you call LG, they offer no assistance and state you will have to pay to have the washer repaired due to it is out of warranty. They take no blame in the matter at all and tell you its from improper cleaning. Please, this washer is a WASH OUT! Dont buy LG washers unless you want to get stuck with the bill, the dirty machine and the dirty laundry! Never again will I purchase a LG appliance!

I bought an LG Refrigerator #LFC25770 in November 2008. I paid over $1,500.00 for the French door style with bottom drawer freezer. The compressor keeps coming on and then clicks right off. The freezer thawed and the refrigerator no longer cooled. After doing research online, find that the cause might be the starter relay. I tried to order the part and it is no longer available. You now have to replace the relay, thermostat and compressor; should have been a warning that LG has had this issue before. I called LG customer service since the sealed system was still under warranty for parts. They gave me several contacts that did the warranty service for them. However, no one comes out to my location. I called LG back and they gave me several more names. I called all and once again either they dont service LG or they dont come to my area. Again, I called LG who gave me more names and numbers. Did I mention the time I was wasting and the cost of long distance calls? I was told it was my problem since nobody would come out. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on. I called back and asked for a supervisor and was transferred and explained the issues with LG and he said he would make the calls and try to find someone. To say I am not happy with LG would be putting it mildly. The products and the service suck.

I like LG's consumer reviews and the looks of their products, particularly the dual ice makers and the nice LED lighting. However, the compressor went out in the first three years. That was why I had the compressor redone. I had to get the purchase agreement from the place that I bought it from, sent it over, and they came out and took care of it. The experience was amazing. Now, my ref is great.

At Thanksgiving our LG refrigerator and freezer stopped working. We bought it new a few years ago and loved its design and size. It was a lot of money for us but we splurged. We called the company we bought it from and they told us to call LG service direct. We could not get any response when calling LG so just decided to get a tech to look at it. Took him a week to get back to us because of the holidays. He told us the sealed freon system was broken and the compressor was toast and he could not do the repair. He charged us for the visit and left. He said it would cost a lot of money to fix - So we tried to contact another service company to fix it. The only one we could find to work on our fridge is a couple of hours away and we have to take the refrigerator to them. It is very heavy and taking it down a flight of stairs is pretty scary and we really dont want to transport it. We called LG again trying to get a service tech to come out to our home to fix it but cant get through to anyone. At this point we are probably going to buy another brand as we have been without a fridge for weeks. If LG wants our business please answer your phones!

We purchased a four unit package. Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove. The other units are great but the ovens (both top and bottom) fluctuate so much in temperatures that it takes fifteen/twenty minutes longer to bake anything and then it comes out dry and hard. A service technician replaced the control board but failed to check if it fixed the problem. I purchased a digital oven temperature probe to check it myself. It overshoots the temperature by ten to fifteen degrees and then drops fifteen to twenty degrees before it kicks back on. This cycle continued for over two hours until I finally gave up in disgust.

Does a good job of washing the dishes, but the dish rack is of poor configuration. The dishes tend to end up at a 30+ degree angles to the vertical and this limits the capacity of the machine. But it looks good and performs well so no serious complaints.

Buyer Beware of Linear Compression. We purchased this fridge less than 3 years ago and it stopped working 3 days ago. Hours and hours on the phone with LG, 2 service companies later, 1 1/2 days of missed work, and we know exactly the same thing we did when we first called... the compressor has died. Now theyre fighting with the service company LG sent out to us on who should order the part(s) and are telling us they may have it to fix in another week. WEEK! A quick google search will show you there are multiple class action lawsuits for this type of compression unit. LG has known it will not last. And when it fails, as it will, hundreds of $$ of food in the trash, $$ for takeout for a week, missed time from work to meet technicians that cant help and hours and hours on the phone with LG is what will be in your future.

I reported a range/oven from the time the oven was turned on. The staff at LG that takes complaints and concerns told me to send pictures of the warped oven. However, several attempts to get some type of follow through and repair was unsuccessful. The oven condition showed that it had been defective when the range was manufactured. Gus from LG did not return phone calls after the pictures were sent by mail and then faxed. To this date, I have not heard anything back from the company. This incident will determine what purchases I make in the future.

I bought 7000.00 dollars worth of LG appliances for our new house. The water dispenser never worked. The ice maker quit within three days. The motherboard went out in three weeks causing the refrigerator to go out and all our food lost. No recourse. Waiting for new parts now. Dont buy LG.

Shortly after having purchased my stove at a price tag of $1500.00, the control panel went. I replaced it on my dime. The oven emits heat so intense the paint is discolored and peeling near the vent from the oven. The other day I turned the oven on to preheat and went into another room when I heard a horrid noise from the kitchen. I returned to see smoke pouring from the oven and the breaker on my electric panel had popped (fortunately). All lights were flashing and I have not been able to contact LG service lines to report this and inquire into what on earth happened. I will never buy LG again as there are no service people in our city who will touch it. The one company who will service this product put the control panel in upside down when I replaced it and I had to have them make another house call to fix the mess. They are supposed to be trained LG service people. YEAH! I am still sitting here without a stove because I cannot connect with LG. They do not put you on hold, but via a recording tell you they are all busy and to call back. Click! GOODBYE LG...

This morning, my wife started a load of clothes in my 2002 LG Trom front load dryer. I was in the backyard with the dogs. I noticed an electrical burning smell. I ran in the house to see if there was a fire! The dryer was smoking! I turned off the gas and unplugged it. I repair all types of equipment for a living. Upon disassembly, I found that the wires going to the safety temperature switch, on the top of the burner tube, had shorted out where they were rubbing on the gas line.
