Model LMWS27626S, Production Date was Feb 2021. Bought on March 21, 2021 from Home Depot and was delivered almost a week later. 3 Days ago, noticed water began to accumulate down in the freezer section... Simply put, the fridge stopped working. Just today the technician dispatched by LG showed up and after performing his diagnostics, he told me that both the Main Board and The Compressor are bad and theyll need to be replaced. Imagine a 3 Month Old Appliance from the date of production going bad and to think weve only had this in our home for 4 weeks. This experience just gives me no confidence in the LG Brand at all, yes they are nice on the surface but trash in the inside. Now well be out of a fridge for the next week until the parts arrive. At this point I dont even want to keep this appliance in my home because I know it will break again. Luckily I bought an extended warranty but even so, no amount of warranty will bring the confidence back towards this brand.

LG fridge bought in Aug. 2017. Worked good for almost 2 years, and then the madness started in July 2019. As of today the compressor has been changed, then a 2nd trip to fix a leak supposedly, 2 weeks after that the ice maker quits working. Technician is now saying it is the flanges on the freezer doors not sealing properly. Technician orders parts and I get a call today from the parts department saying that parts are on backorder and they have no clue how long it may be. I will never buy an LG appliance again. $2000.00 just does not buy you what it used to. If LG would just own up and say they are selling a defective product and make it right, it might not be so bad. But all they keep doing is kicking the can down the road. I am officially, over it. If something is not done soon, I am to the point of trying to see if I can do anything legally. There has to be a lemon law or something like that on products like this.

My new large capacity LG washer model WM8000HVA does not spin out water ninety percent or more of the time regardless of the size or type of load. The machine was purchased on 07-08-14 and delivered at the end of August 2014. I started having problems with the machine not spinning out from the first use. I had three service visits and at the 3rd visit LG technicians suggested that the service tech replace the hall sensor and main computer. They subsequently decided to replace the machine with a new one and the same problem continued. I have had two service appointments on the replacement machine and on the second visit the LG technician replaced the main computer and the hall sensor on 06-10-15 but this did not resolve the problem. I had a medium load in the washer when the tech showed up and the machine would not spin out displaying a UE error code. After replacing the computer and sensor it still did not spin out displaying the same error code so the technician suggested that I take out more than half the clothes and then the machine spin out in three separate loads from what was originally a medium load. I inquired why this is and he informed that the machine was not really designed to wash loads above a certain size or weight. I then inquired why would one buy a large capacity washer that could not wash large loads including comforters and he said he understood. I later called LG Executive office and spoke to ** and informed her that this machine was defective and unsuitable for my needs. She initially said they would not allow a return but then later informed that she would research further and contact me by Friday 06-05. I have not heard back from her or anyone in her office to date.I would like to add that this machine was purchased to replace LG model WM2277H which is a 4.0 CU. FT. Washer which I had for over ten years and was able to wash larger loads in than the new machine with no problems and it still works. The new WM8000HVA is advertised as a 5.2 cu. ft. mega capacity washer. I would like to have LG reclaim this washer and issue a full refund because the service/repair options have been exhausted and the machine is not working as it should which indicate there is an un-repairable defect.

This machine works great. The controls are versatile enabling the proper heating method for a wide variety of foods yet are simple and easy to use. Its stainless steel which looks great and is large enough to accept a medium size pizza and still compact enough for our countertop. It has a built-in toaster which is a plus that also saves counter space. Im very happy with this microwave.

Okay as I was cleaning out the drawers, shelves and inside of my refrigerator for the third time. I purchased it from HHGregg on 11/30/2015. I decided I needed to let others know about this refrigerator so they wouldnt have to go through the same thing. Thankfully I purchased the extended service plan. We replaced the main board on July of 2018 and then the compressor went out on 1/14/2019. I am currently cleaning out the refrigerator again a year later because it quit cooling once again. Luckily, we have another refrigerator in our basement we can transfer all the food to. We have had that refrigerator for over 18 years and have never had a problem. It is a Whirlpool. We have a company coming out on Monday, two weeks from when I put in the order to fix it again. I do not recommend this refrigerator to anyone.

I was remodeling my kitchen and bought a brand new range and an over the range microwave, delivered 12/2018, installed in Feb 2019 due to kitchen not being ready. When started using it I noticed some white spots or discoloration on the stainless steel front of the range. As the range worked fine I did not immediately call CS to see if anything can be done about this issue. Then the microwave stop working so I called CS and told them about both appliances and they scheduled a time to come out for the MW but told me they would be get back with me about the range which they never did after a week. When the guys came out to look at the MW I showed them the spots and they tried cleaning them as well. They said Id have to call back in as nothing was scheduled for the range just the MW. They even confirmed that the front face of the range could be replaced a simple fix. I called the next Monday to ask about this again and the first guy told me from what he could see, from a photo I had sent in the first time, it was nothing that can be done about it. So I ask why he thought that from looking at a photo, he said he would get me over to a supervisor. After being on hold for 20 minutes a guy got on the phone and told me that if I would have called as soon as I noticed the spots that they could have replaced it based on a defect but since I waited that there was nothing they could do about it. He said it might be a chemical reaction but I told him Ive only used what was recommended for me to use. I asked them if they could replace the front piece and he said no that because I waited that there was nothing they could do about it. Yes I waited until the MW stop working before I called because the range was working fine. I know that if CS wanted to help and replace one piece that they could have but they punished me for waiting, its not as if I was asking for a brand new range. Ive already have had a few people ask me what LG did about taking care of the range and now I can let them know and everyone know that they chose not to do anything because I was busy and didnt call right away. I will never buy LG again!!!

It has wonderful features like "delicate" cycle (for China) and adjustable racks - both for height and for items you might have to put into them. Even the flatware basket is well designed.

I bought an LG fridge (LSC27914ST/00) at Sears. Just after the warranty expired (one year after purchase), the ice-maker started dumping the ice tray to the box and then pouring the water straight to the box and then to the kitchens floor. Of course, the water situation repeats until somebody realizes and turns the ice-maker off. For the first two or three months, just putting back on position the tray was enough for a couple of weeks of good performance. Now, it is enough only for a couple of ice-making cycles. Never in my life will I buy an LG appliance.

I called LG service department to warranty my dishwasher pump motor for loud grind, knock noise and found my warranty void due to me diagnosing my own dishwasher (my factory warranty will only cover the part not labor). I offered to send the motor to LG confirm default in pump and I offered to pay a LG service tech to diagnose and confirm the problem with the pump motor and let LG refund me for the service call after confirmation of default, but turned down for both. My only option would have been to pay labor for diagnosis and repair to receive my warranty part for a 6-year-old dishwasher, but does not matter now. My warranty is voided because I diagnosed the problem myself and cant afford to pay to do what I can. Will Never Buy LG Again.

I purchased this door-in-door refrigerator October 2017, for my new home, at Home Depot. The store was my salvation in trying to get service for this unit as the right french door was 1 higher than the left, and the cooling fan made a high pitch whining noise whenever it kicked on. Sounds easy right? NOT! LG Service Center is a call center of sorts with questionnaires they read from, despite being told of the exact issue. 15 min later still nowhere. Called HD and they got the same result. After several different LG phone #s, Sue in Appliances at Cicero HD, succeeded in reaching the LG local service center and entered a claim for me. They were to call back with appt. I ended up calling them the next day, found out they are a computer repair center, and contacted HD to return this very expensive refrigerator. Thank you HD for all that you do and I will purchase anything but LG for the replacement.

Fridge stopped cooling so we called LG on July 23. They made an appt for their service contractor Lake Appliance on Friday July 26. I called Lake to inquire if they had parts and they said they have typical parts on the truck. When they arrived, Lakes service technician checked and confirmed it wasnt working, and that they needed a part which wouldnt be there until the following Friday Aug 2. On Aug 2 he installed the part and did some other work to clear out the cooling system, but 24 hrs later it was not cooling at all. Room temperature. He said that they would need to get a new evaporator coil which would take a week, so we would need to wait until Monday Aug 12. I called Lake to see what could be done, they said there was nothing they could do -- they need the part and to get the technician scheduled. Called LG next day (Sat) to see what could be done, they said nothing could be done. I asked the LG rep for a manager and they said the manager was in a meeting and would call me back in about 45 minutes. I finally called them 2.5 hrs later (they never called) and was informed that there is no manager working that day at all, they only work Mon-Fri. I told them that was odd, that there is no supervisor working that day at all, because earlier they told me the manager would call me back. So, here we are on Mon Aug 12 and Lakes technician called in sick. So I need to wait until Fri Aug 16 now. 3-1/2 weeks without a fridge, and I am not convinced that replacing the evap coil will fix the problem. Extremely disappointed in LG and their service company. First LG fridge I have purchased and expected better.

Updated on 01/08/2019: After two failures and unsuccessful repairs, Asurion sent another repair company over. The repairman walked into the house and said I know what the problem is already as he heard the compressor groaning in the kitchen. After conferring with his boss over the phone, I was informed that they no longer will do repairs on LG products because LG does not pay their invoice. So not only does Home Depot continue to sell this junk, but the repair shops that would handle the extended warranty repairs will not work on LG. A couple of weeks later, Asurion (out of the blue) called and said that a reimbursement check was being sent. Could that be due to the class action lawsuit recently filed nationwide against LG?? So we got the check, disposed of the LG, and bought a KitchenAid that sits quietly in the kitchen, keeping things cool and keeping us composed. OH, and never a word from LG through any of this business.Original Review: Two Compressors in Two Months...LG is junk: We purchased this LG from Home Depot in December of 2016. It had great features, was very attractive, and large capacity. In November, 2017 we returned home to find the kitchen flooded and the fridge was warm. We called the Home Depot warranty company and a repairman came out two days later. They didnt have local repairmen so he came from 60 miles away btw. He said it was the compressor and he said he replaces LG compressors on a regular basis. Ultimately it took him 3 weeks to obtain one due to LG being out of stock on compressors. He installed it and the warranty company gave us a food reimbursement check. Two days later, the same thing happened! Spoiled food. Flood. Repairman showed up again and repeated the slow ordering process. Home Depot sent over a small dorm fridge just in time for Thanksgiving. Now the compressor is again making noises. LG is totally unresponsive to this; they would rather the repairmen make the repairs for them, that they are too cheap to do upon manufacture.

I like how advance it is, its an amazing fridge and fits all my needs with a cooler, water dispenser etc. Its also pretty amazing that it comes with advanced features that many other fridges dont come with, so I would easily pick this company again. Its super easy to use, and get be done easily. I love it and wouldnt pick any other company, I do like the water dispensers, and stuff like that, they tend to come in handy. Its advanced and fits todays era of how things work and run, since now everythings technology based, and everyone is switching to more technical things. Bought LG french door refrigerator one year ago and died on me 2 days ago. Called LG customer service and asked to come out asap but they scheduled me 2 days after. More than half of my foods worth $300 had to be thrown away. I live in Valencia weather over 105 degrees and was very frustrated had to wait for them at this weather. They schedule me on time frame from 10-5 pm to wait for them. Still waiting and cant get out of the house all day since it was a emergency matter of food being melted and rotten. I called local tech to see what is wrong and charged me $70. When I called LG support to reimburse money I had to spend they said they cannot give money back. I was very disappointed how they deal with issue. This is brand new LG refrigerator paid $2700 and main compressor dies in a year doesnt make sense whatsoever. I will not be buying LG Appliance anymore.

I had my refrigerator just a few months before it started freezing my food in the produce bins. I had it repaired only to have it do it again and the refrigerator temperature would fluctuate. Again I had it serviced only to have it happen again and then it would not keep my overall refrigerator cold enough. I have lost food and then been without a refrigerator in between repairs. Now they are going to replace it but I am now without a refrigerator while paper works needs to be submitted and processed. purchased april of 2014. 2 days ago refrigeration quit working (both freezer & refrigerator). Called LG customer service, individual I was put in touch with spoke very poor english, would not or could not help, was told it was basically my problem because the warranty of 12 months had expired. After making numerous calls to try someone who works on LG (another problem in itself) I called back to LG customer service. This time I had an individual who spoke understandable english. When I explained my problem we started the same song & dance routine that I went through earlier. Finally he told me I would have to call their service tech. He gave me the # for a company in pa. (I live in ohio about 25 miles from the pa state line). I told him that they would not drive that far, but I called them & they said they dont service ohio.I now have a sears tech coming to look @ refrigerator next week. Absolutely fed up with LG customer service department & their products (entire kitchen is LG appliances). Will never purchase another LG product as long as I live. We bought our first LG refrigerator three years ago after studying online reviews (not customer reviews, quality reviews) that convinced us LG was making the best appliances available. Those reviews were dead wrong. Our refrigerator made very loud vibrating noise immediately. We had a service person come out within the first two weeks. He ordered a replacement part and came out again several weeks later to install. That “fix” failed. It became increasingly difficult to get LG to respond to our concerns. After a year of complaining pointlessly to LG we went back to the retailer whose immediately agreed to replace the refrigerator, to our pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of accepting a new LG refrigerator on the assumption that our first LG was merely an unaccountable lemon.Wrong. The second LG has been nearly as loud as the first albeit the noise did not start immediately. The vibration built up over time and is now every bit as loud as the first. In reading the customer reviews now, it is apparent that our experience is similar to many others. Poor quality components, extremely poor service, no follow-up. I will never buy another LG appliance and will likely replace this one before we experience some of the leaking and lack of cooling that others have experience. Very disappointed.

The drum was broken at the seam. It cost me $400 to replace the drum. $400! He said it was a fluke and that this didnt happen normally. But I just read online that others have had the very same problem. LG better pull it together. Now the dryer isnt drying the towels completely, I was researching the problem, could be my lint vent which is not a dryer issue but I came across these complaints and I was really ticked off. Bought this stove to replace another LG range model that had a recall on for burners that would not turn off but LG refused to do anything. With hesitation I decided to buy another LG range because it matched my other appliances and 11 months later I am again without a functioning stove. The motherboard has to be replaced as the right burners will not turn on unless you turn on the left burners in addition to the oven not turning off sporadically. While they have agreed to replace the part, I have no guarantee beyond that. Having paid $1800 to replace my previous range in addition to a LG tv in the last year, I have lost all confidence in the LG brand and will ensure to share my experiences both with the products and lack of empathy by the customer service employees. Customers do not want to hear that appliances break down and other responses like how would me putting myself in your shoes right now help you? or when commenting about the condition of my previous White Westinghouse range reliability making statements such as you replaced it for a reason though didnt you? The reason at the time was purely updating my kitchen. While LG products are aesthetically pleasing, they are simply unreliable and a safety concern.

After many years of being professionals in the working world, we have hit on the WORST product and service from an appliance manufacturer. Our washer was just over 12 months old when we began to experience relentless problems such as continuous UE signals, subsequential refilling of the washer tub, prolonged run times up to 4 hours, and soaking wet clothes even after the spin cycle was completed. We called LG Customer Service and were told in so many words---too bad but it is your problem. We have been Honda car owners for 30 years and cannot say enough good about their customer service and working WITH us when any problems occurred. As a result, we have told many others to buy Honda and they will NEVER be disappointed. We were just told by a repairman that the control panel is bad and needs to be replaced to the tune of $234.00. This on a washer that is now about 15 months old. Quality control must not be existent at LG. In this case, we WILL tell all those we know NEVER to buy a LG product of any sort.

We purchased an LG French door stainless refrigerator in September of 2016
We purchased an LG French door stainless refrigerator in September of 2016 (did not take delivery until mid October). On September 19, 2018 we woke up to a defrosting freezer and non-functioning refrigerator, in under two full years of use. LG customer service told me the part is covered under the sealed system warranty, but labor is not. They offered to cover labor “as a courtesy,” but they did not have a technician available. They gave me the phone number of an authorized repair center and an “APN” number, but when I called I was told they are not currently taking repairs for LG because they have a 3 WEEK backlog.I called LG back and they gave me the only 3 other authorized repair centers in the state of Colorado. Two don’t actually work on refrigerators and the third offered to come out in a week. Took the appointment but called LG back and was told I could call try to find someone to fix it sooner, but they would only cover labor through their providers. When I told them I can’t afford refrigerator repair on a product I bought in good faith that has failed in under two years, I was told “that’s not on LG.”I kept the appointment, sat home all day yesterday (9/25/18) waiting for my 1-3PM repair window, expecting a working fridge by dinner time. At 3:30 the provider arrived, looked at the fridge, said “yep, your compressor is shot. It’ll take 3 days to get the part, then we’ll get you on the schedule for repair. Just understand we’re very busy and seeing a ton of these, so we’re trying to get at least one repaired daily.” So I have no idea how long it’s going to take. My family of 7 is living out of a dorm sized (Whirlpool) fridge. I’m going to the store up to 3 times a day to get food I can make immediately and a half gallon of milk at a time for my 5 kids. We bought an entire kitchen suite of LG appliances at the same time and are now terrified they’re all going to fail and it won’t be “on LG.” As I’m sharing with friends, at least 3 have had the same issue, one within the month and her fridge was newer than mine.

I just called LG to try and warranty my french door refrigerator with a broken compressor. I purchased my unit Aug. 2012, and I am well within my 10 year warranty. Heck, Im still within the 7 year warranty for the other parts that will need to be replaced when they repair the compressor. They transferred me to their affiliated repair company and they want $1000.00 to fix my unit. If Im under warranty, why do I have to pay that much for something that is guaranteed to break again, from reading all these comments???? $1k I might as well use that money for a new unit, not LG!

Cooks great! Seriously DANGEROUS knobs, huge FIRE HAZARD! Purchased Nov 26, 2017 delivered December 21, 2017. No problems with the cooking features as I love this stove for that purpose. However, I did not have any issues with the knobs turning on by just a brush or bump or even just standing close & assuming static causing the problem UNTIL LG sent a new control unit which is the entire front portion of the stove above the door due to the finish falling off in big chunks just by wiping with a damp rag! I wish I had just had my new stove painted stainless at a local paint shop as I did remove the knobs when not in use for fear my house will burn down until I noticed the stems cause the burners to turn on even more than with the knobs on so now I trip the breaker to the stove and NEVER leave my house or go to sleep with that breaker not in the OFF position.I realized the burners actually heated up when I sat my cold bag with a gallon of milk I had just purchased on the stove top. Turned to go get another bag from car & came back in to a smoke filled kitchen & a melted cold bag including the entire bottom of the plastic milk carton with boiling milk all over the stove & running down the front of the door! It took approx 25 secs to grab the bag & return to the kitchen but I had sat the bag on the ultra burner unfortunately! It works very well! Now if the control panel is barely touched by a mere piece of clothing the broil turns on HI and my oven is locked yet the door is not shut so it’s not useable but it still turns on! LG will not assist you other than advising you to have a repair person come check it out & at your expense since the warranty is out. I wish I could say buy this stove you will love it but the Fire issue is the only reason I cannot. I now cut my breaker off to my stove before leaving my house or going to sleep! Also, I cannot get an answer from LG, but my lockout feature only prevents the oven from being turned on, it does not lock the stove top controls! I paid a little over $1300 for this stove. I am going to try to find a fix, either knobs that lock or a person to rewire my control panel to prevent the fire hazard! I will post a solution if I am able to find one that is inexpensive!

We purchased new appliances from ABC Warehouse back in December of 2019. We chose LG due to the price and the aesthetics. We purchased a washer, dryer, fridge, two ovens, microwave, stovetop, hood and dishwasher. We were set to move into our home on Feb 7th of 2020. The last week of January we received all appliances except the hood vent and dryer. At this time, ABC said LG rep was not getting back to them and they had no time table on when the other two appliances would be delivered. Since the other appliances have been delivered, we have called 4 times to get some sort of answers and each time they either redirect us to ABC (who has tried contacting LG but has been unsuccessful) or they say the appliances will get there eventually... We have now been in our home for a month and unable to use our stovetop nor do any laundry. LG customer service has been horrible to work with as they are giving us no answers nor are they being friendly on the phone. I am extremely dissatisfied with LG and at this point I would not purchase LG appliances in the future nor recommend them to others.

Purchased a LG range model LSB5682 in Dec. 2009 from The Brick with a 5 year extended warranty. Within that period I had 5 service calls - 4 of 5 service calls have been for the control panel stops working. Trans Global comes in and replaces panel and we are fine for a little while. Its gotten to the point where the tech comes in and does not touch the range he just orders the part. Spoke with LG recall department they told me its not normal and they cant do anything about it.Trans Global only does temporary fixes instead of looking at what breaks down the panel unless they know something I dont which brings me to the lemon policy. Its only good for the first 3 years. If I knew this after the first repair I could have bought a new range with the money I have spent feeding my family at restaurants every time it breaks down because I have to wait for the part 3 to 4 weeks. So I guess its another temporary fix till my warranty runs out because Trans Global will not replace it. Thumbs down to The Brick which is Trans Global and LG for letting such companies service their products.

We purchased the Door In Door French Door refrigerator (LG - LFX31945ST) on 7/20/2013 for $2500. Two days ago I heard a loud pop that sounded like ice dumping on overload. We left the house for a few hours only to come home and find water all over the floor, leaking from the ice maker in the fridge. The fridge had stopped maintaining any cold temperature in either the refrigerator or the freezer section. Much food was in the process of spoiling.Called an appliance repair person who diagnosed the problem as the control module/capacitor, which was burned out. He called for the part and was told that particular part has been on backorder since April and that it was unknown if or even when it would be available. This is ridiculous, we now had to go spend money to purchase a new refrigerator. The service person informed us that his main complaints on appliances are for LG and Samsung products. He doesnt understand why there is not a class action lawsuit against these companies for their poorly performing products for which you have trouble getting even parts to repair. We will not buy anything LG ever again.

I’d seen the LG refrigerator in the store and thought it was the perfect size. I also liked that the ice maker was in the door and not taking up space inside the refrigerator. So, I bought it. But it just stopped cooling and they sent out a tech about six times to fix it. They ordered all of the parts, repaired all of the parts, and it still wasn’t fixed. This issue has been going on for four months and now, they’re refunding me my check. I called yesterday checking on the status of it and they said it’s with claims. So I should receive my refund next week. All in all, I would not recommend this refrigerator.

Called service repair and they fixed it. Warranty did not cover anything because it had nothing to do with the operation such as drum, bearings or mechanical issues. Nine months later, the door was doing the same thing and water leaked from the door down the front of the washer. Ive decided to use it until I can purchase another type and brand. On June 28, 2020 I noticed my fridge was not keeping things cold. I called a refrigerator repair company and it turns out my compressor went bad. I have only had the fridge for 5 yrs and 3 months. I called LG customer service on June 29, 2020, and was told they would replace the part but wouldnt pay for the service. It is going to cost over $600 to have the compressor replaced. I did some additional research and it appears LG has a problem with defective compressors. In fact, there was a lawsuit filed against them for this very reason. I asked to speak to a manager about the repair cost and Vergie refused to transfer me to one. She also would not provide the name of the manager that said they would not cover the repair costs. Its not like I asked for a new fridge, I just want them to pay for a problem they know they have. This will be the last time I purchase a LG product!

Bought the LG washer from Lowes and for a few days it worked OK. It then started to vibrate across the floor in our laundry room. We called LG and they sent out a repairman and repaired the washer. It worked for about two loads and then vibrated again. Two different companies came out 4 more times to repair it over the next 3 months. None of those times did they fix the unit. After the 5th time the washer vibrated and flooded out laundry room. We called up LG again and they said they would issue a full refund. The next day we went out and bought a Maytag washer with zero issue so far. To get the refund LG gave us a case number and a link to upload our proof of purchase. After not hearing from them for a month we called them up and said they have no record of them saying we would get a refund. Their customer service is a joke. They claim they have no record of 3 of the repairs and no record of saying they would refund the money for a lemon washer. On March 28, 2015 our LG front load machine was run on the tub clean cycle. It overfilled with water and the door seal failed. Water poured out of the machine and it just kept on filling. Water damaged several rooms in our home. We handled the emergency by shutting off the water supply. Hooking up shop vacs to the drain hose to empty the water in the machine. Shop vacs were filled many times over to clean up the floors and empty the machine. Commercial Dehumidifiers, floor dryers and fans were brought in to try and save the wood and tile floors, cabinetry and personal things. Water bubbled out of the wood floors in our new home.We contacted our retailer, Grand Appliance in Madison Wisconsin and they said they will file a claim with LG, but that LG doesnt typically cover both replacing the defective machine and repairing the damages caused. I will report back when we have something in writing from LG, but we are not happy that they havent responded yet and even more unhappy that the retailer cannot assure us the manufacturer will make this right.

On September 7th, 2018, Home Depot Canada delivered an LG LFXC24726S refrigerator I had purchased on August 30th. I had researched refrigerators prior to going to Home Depot and relied on the salesman’s recommendation for either the LG or Samsung 3 door French style with external water and ice. Periodically during the first 9 months the defrost cycle seemed to run too long and things would be warm in both the refrigerator and freezer. On July 28th the unit stopped cooling completely. 4 hours later it started cooling again. Late afternoon on July 29th it stopped cooling again and I lost the contents of the refrigerator and the freezer that night. After repeated calls to LG on the morning of July 30th and having to send pictures of my invoice from Home Depot I was finally put through to the appliance repair service that handles their warranty repairs as a “priority”. The earliest anyone could come to look at it was 2 days later on August 1st. On July 31st the unit started cooling again. The technician could not determine what the problem was on August 1st so he decided to order a new main board. Cooling was intermittent after his visit and then the unit started freezing items in the refrigerator. On August 8th the part arrived and the repair service set up to replace the board on August 15th. The same technician did the repair and he was done in 20 minutes. The refrigerator worked fine for the 15th and the 16th but sometime in the early morning hours of August 17th it stopped cooling again completely and for the second time in less than a month I have lost hundreds of dollars of food. LG uses a repair service which does not work on the weekends and does not provide any emergency service. After more than an hour on the phone and on hold with LG’s Canadian customer service in Panama, I had to start over from scratch and send pictures of my purchase invoice AGAIN. Disgusting customer service and I am left with no refrigerator, garbage bags full of spoiled food and nothing more than an email sent to the same repair company with instructions for me to call them on Monday and book a service appointment. LG is aware of the issues with their sealed systems and linear inverters and there currently is a class-action lawsuit on behalf of consumers. How disappointing that they have not done anything to correct the problems and consumers are left with a useless piece of junk in their kitchen. Also very disturbing that Consumers Reports continues to recommend these defective refrigerators. I have subscribed for years to Consumers Reports magazine and believed their testing results but no more. DON’T BUY LG!

I have hated this washer almost since we bought it. Not long after we got it something in computer board malfunctioned within 6 months of buying it. Had to have a repair man come fix it. It is a LG WaveForce with direct drive inverter. It stops and beeps all the time because clothes are unbalanced. I dont feel it cleans my clothes very well. I have a hard time getting my clothes out of washer. (I am only 5 ft. tall so that is not really an issue with the washing machine itself.) I have now seen hundreds if not thousands of online pictures of my similar issue with this product. The control panel is NOT sealed correctly so the steam seeps out on the top and has entered the thin plastic which encases the control panel and created small but obvious cracks. This would not happen if the door/panel was sealed tightly with some form of a seal, which it is not. It is plastic meets plasic on a edge. Therefore the steam enters creating heat and pressure and cracking the display as well as allowing moisture into the electrical panel.** Here is a link to a video that shows the issue. This is a design flaw. Its also a hazard since the water vapor is seeping into the panel. My dishwasher is also not very old. I do not recommend this product since the design flaw not only has NOT been fixed, it has not been addressed by LG despite numerous reports on the web. Shame on LG for allowing a flaw to just continue each year in this model.

Updated on 11/29/2021: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Again, based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and any posted customer experience comments before purchasing any LG kitchen appliance. I made a post 2 months ago on the unreliable refrigerator I purchased and the lack of customer service from LG. Shortly after that post I got action, but it has turned out to be just lip service. I have provided everything LG requested to get a prorated reimbursement for the refrigerator. I have been told on several occasions the reimbursement is approved and the check has been mailed. To this date, 11/29/21, I still have not received the check and I still have an unreliable LG refrigerator. The “promises” of me receiving a reimbursement, which come from as high up of the “liaison of the president”, apparently are meaningless. Bottom line is if you are planning to purchase kitchen appliances please, please consider my situation in order to avoid hours and hours of wasted time and frustration as well as money if you go with LG.Original Review: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and the customer experience comments when something does not work like it should. We purchased the French door refrigerator in November 2019. We started having a problem with the freezer compartment getting too warm in April 2021. This is October 2, 2021 and the problem still exists. The customer service department scheduled repairs. Nine technicians from two different companies have worked on the refrigerator. Many components have been replaced including thermostats, rear cover panel and the mother board that controls everything. The problem revolves around the defrost cycle and the unit not being able to recover from defrosting. The compartment gets too warm, 41 degrees. The refrigerator compartment also gets to 41 degrees. Multiple times everything in the freezer has thawed and turned to liquid. Ice melts in the ice dispenser and runs on the floor. The issue has been escalated 4 times now. Three of those have been to the Defective Returns Department. They rejected the claim first due to “improper submission of the claim by their representative” and a second time because “the person handling the claim no longer works for the company”. I have emailed the President twice without a response even though his webpage says he will respond. My experience has been extremely poor and I still have a defective refrigerator. For $3,100 I expected a unit that would perform and last for a number of years. The company has no doubt spent near that amount of failed repair attempts. I’ve been told that my unit qualifies for either replacement or refund due to the number of repairs and due to the failure of the company to schedule repair within 14 days. This problem is a nightmare and has no resolution within sight. Life’s Not So Good with this kind of customer service and a company that does not stand behind its product. Buyer beware!

I bought the LG set about 11 months ago. For the first month it operated like a dream. Then it started leaving residue on my dark clothes...looks like streaks of lint or undissolved detergent. I have changed detergents, added less or more, used large loads and small ones, and nothing helps. I have to wash the load a second and sometimes third time without detergent to get it clean. Another problem is that if I wash anything with my darks that is even slightly lighter than black or brown, the dark dye is transferred to the clothes and ruins them. I have done the same thing for years with other machines without problems, but this one for some reason causes the dyes to transfer. I think both problems are caused by too little water being used. Have finally lost patience and will start the never ending cycle of service calls, I guess. I dont recommend this product. It does NOT save water.

The worst item EVER that Ive bought in my entire life. Ive had a lot of amazing dishwashers over the years from cheap on up. This ones a nightmare. From Day 1 there were issues with LG. Plates dont stack. They immediately fall over (like dominoes). The cutlery holder malfunctioned almost immediately. It no longer locks together to hold the utensil basket in place. This results in the far end basket (one of 4) tipping over into the unit from the weight. The top rack organizing glasses, bowls or cups. Again items continually fall over. I (originally) thought adjustable times on both the top and bottom rack was a smart idea. Im sure it looked good on paper but its a complete and total failure. Nothing is secure. Nothing is reliable. Does LG even bother to test the equipment they build? From the bottom of my heart...if you see this dishwasher for sale please just run away as fast as you can!

Ours died a mere 4 years (!!!) after purchase - its electronic controller died in the middle of a wash cycle and left the brain dead machine with its door locked, with no manual way to unlock it, holding hostage a full load of wet laundry which has been rotting there for ten days, exuding a horrible smell! And, to add insult to injury, here is what happened when we ordered the part from LG (via Sears Parts Direct, order number **) and paid extra for expedited 2-day shipment: after 4 days we were informed that LG has not shipped yet, no reason given (the part should directly from their warehouse to home) and there is no guarantee when it will arrive. This is LG engineering! This is LG customer service!

My daughter used a microwave-safe bowl to melt chocolate in my LMC0975 LG microwave. Two seconds after she pressed Start, the interior wall of the oven caught on fire. She immediately shut the microwave oven off and unplugged it. She is staying at my place while I am away. I told her to call LG. She was told by a rep that because the warranty has expired, she has to pay someone to come and see if the issue is the magnetron, which has a 10-year warranty, or take the oven into a repair centre. This is not possible due to Corona, and I dont think we should have to pay to have it checked. This seems like a fire hazard, and I am surprised they had no other support available and did not seem to think their product catching fire was something of great concern. I would like LG to detail how they will take care of this issue for me.

I bought a top loading LG washer and dryer in May 2013 washing machine mode
I bought a top loading LG washer and dryer in May 2013 washing machine model WT1101CW. In September of 2014 the washing machine wouldnt drain the water halfway through a cycle. Called LG and was told that it was out our warranty and there was nothing they could do. I said it was 3 months out of warranty and told the lady overseas to give me a supervisor. The supervisor extended my warranty after scanning my receipts to him, now this is where the problems start. The part ordered was the drain motor, it took 2 weeks to get after calling trying to get information about the part. The part came in, the service company installed it and it did not fix the problem so a drain pump was ordered. The drain pump took another 2 weeks to get in and was installed and it still did not fix the problem. The service company has now ordered a control panel and has requested that LG overnight the part but they will not do that. I called LG customer service again, talked to another lady from overseas and was told they do not overnight parts. I asked to speak to a supervisor and told her I had been without a washing machine for going on 6 weeks now and needed this part overnighted. She stated that they do. It overnight parts and it would be 3 to 5 business days which means another 1 to 2 weeks to get the part and have it installed. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told they are all supervisors in that department and her direct superior does not take phone calls. I do not believe that the control panel will fix the problem and that the washer is completely fried. I am still waiting for the outcome of my washing machine debacle but have no hope that it will be fixed and work properly. The customer service given by LG is the worst that I have ever dealt with and will NEVER buy another LG product and will share my story with anyone who will listen.

It is finicky, hard to start, hard to remove and clean the filter. Frequently stops in the cycle, and has a top bar made of silver plastic that split at a seam. When I called for the warranty coverage, I was told 4 weeks for a repair man. It is a poor warranty (I live in a major city) and badly designed dishwasher. Stick with a more reliable brand with more accessible repair people. After 2 years, I am replacing it.

Weve had it for a couple of weeks and are beyond pleased. We love the all of the space and especially having two ice makers. But LG is the currently the poorest product on the market. Stay away! I bought an LG refrigerator and it was a horrible purchase. I had to have it fixed and I had to pay for a repair guy to come out six times. The last man to come out told me that the previous technician that came out didnt know what he was doing, and he was terminated because he was caught lying to customers. I was also promised by LG a voucher for thousands of dollars worth of food I had to throw out because of all the times my refrigerator broke down. I sent in the receipt and I have a copy of the email but I never heard from them again. I never received the voucher for the food. I am a single mom of four kids and for me to lose thousands of dollars worth of food is completely disgusting. I would never buy an LG product ever again. It was a fail on their part to do what they were supposed to do and its taking everything inside of me not to go to the Better Business Bureau or to contact my lawyer regarding this.

I bought my LG washer, model #WM2016CW, on 5/17/2008. I have noticed all along that the clothes have this odor to them and then it transfers to the dryer but I kept doing the cleaning cycle and it worked for about a week then back to that smell. I tried every HE detergent I could find but the same results. But today was a whole new problem. I put the laundry in and went about doing my cleaning. I went down to the laundry room to change the clothes into the dryer and there was a mess on the floor; it was glass. I thought maybe a light broke but this was thick clear glass. I could not believe what I saw. The glass front of the washer burst into pieces and I had chunks of glass everywhere. The strange thing is that the washer had finished its cycle and the clothes were all done so this must have happened after the clothes finished. There was not a drop of water anywhere. I am still in shock that this happened but with LG anything can happen. I am told I will have to pay for a service man plus parts and LG will not give me any answers. They told me to call Sears, the place where I purchased it, and go through them. Sears gave me the runaround also. They told me that I would have to pay $75 just for a person to come out to look at it and then it could cost up to $350 depending on the cause. The whole door may have to be replaced and they have to try to find the cause which it sounds like they dont have a clue. So the washer is sitting in the laundry room and I am out looking for a new washer. I do not trust this washer at all after the explosion. I am writing my Attorney General and letting him know about this and many other things about LG products. I also own an LG gas stove. It is almost two years old and I have had LG people replacing the glass window. This has been ongoing since I bought the stove. There is a leak in the glass oven door and it just keeps fogging up and food particles get in between the glass door and oven door. What a piece of junk that cost me $1100. LG refuses to do anything about it so my husband and I keep taking the glass off and cleaning it and it is not an easy thing to do. I will never buy another LG product and I will tell everyone I know not to buy LG. They sent one guy over and he put the glass back wrong. All I can say is that LG is getting a bad reputation and if they dont get it right, then they will soon be out of business. I just finished reading 800 reviews of LG ovens and they were not good at all; most of them real bad. What is wrong with the LG company? Are they that stupid not to see what people are saying about their product? I will try to find a new washer made in the good old USA.

We purchased an LG washer new from Home Depot on August 27, 2012. We purchased a 5 year warranty from Home Depot at that same time. Today we noticed stains on some clothes, and discovered significant rusting from the metal under the bleach dispenser (which we never even use). I called the Home Depot warranty company and they said that rust was not covered!! I then contacted LG and they said rust was not covered but they might be able to do something. However, when they learned I had purchased a warranty from home depot they said they could do nothing. Meanwhile, there are numerous other complaints about this LG rust issue, including on their website from other consumers. We are now out of luck on a $1200 Washer. We did everything we were supposed to do. This is a product liability issue, and a warranty scam on several levels. LG is negligent. The Home Depot warranty is negligent as our less than 2 year old machine now ruins clothes and should be replaced or repaired. Please help us.

Purchased a highly rated LG refrigerator in 2011 with a 10 year warranty on the compressor. 8 years to the day, the compressor died. Compressor is under warranty, but other parts & labor are my expense. When the repairman went to install the replacement compressor sent from LG he found it was not the same. In fact it was very different. LG Parts dept said it was compatible & should work. The repairman, who has 30 + years experience, told us that the refrigerator would need rewiring & even then there was no guarantee it would work. He estimated his labor time to be 4 hours. Further discussion with LG brought no other resolution. Bottom line, they do not have the compressor for older models. They could have offered to put the labor under warranty but they did not. Their final word was that someone on their end (from the parts dept) would instruct the repairman how to install the compressor. We know this repairman for over 20 years. He is very honest & very good. He said trying to install the compressor sent, as is would be a fire hazard. His recommendation is to save our money on the labor cost & put it to a new refrigerator. NOT LG. Another comment: I had little choice in 2011 when I went to buy a refrigerator the size I wanted. The bottom freezer was the style. I hate it for many reasons. You cant put boxes in without them jamming; even ice cream containers. I freeze meat & chicken in air tight bags in order to fit more in. I am now looking for a top freezer instead.

Like many reviewers before me, my 2.5 year old LG fridge stopped cooling yesterday. I called LG and spoke to CS who instructed me to change the temperature settings from Celsius to Fahrenheit and wait 2 hours, then call back if the fridge isnt cooling. I asked what changing the settings had to do with diagnosing my fridge, and the rep kept instructing me how to change the setting. After much persistence, I finally got the rep to tell me about the Smart ThinQ app ( to diagnose the problem). We downloaded the app, tried the program... only for the answer of the fridge door has been open longer than normal over the last 24 hours... yes of course! Everything is melting, I was transferring my food to coolers! I called again and asked to be transferred to Tech Support... I was put on hold to nowhere. I called a third time and spoke to another rep who found some equipment on the floor that could diagnose the problem. While the fridge did make a tune that the CS rep listened to, the final answer lead to sending out a technician. Now we were faced with: do we pay $299 for a One Rate fix, which guarantees a complete fix for the one rate, or do we pay $80 for a house call and then a variably increasing rate depending on the complexity of the fix. To pay anything for fixing a compressor that has a 10 year warranty is absurd! The fridge is going to the dump today, and my 20 year old KitchenAid which we replaced with the LG is coming back up from the basement! NEVER AGAIN will I purchase ANY LG product! If you havent bought an LG fridge yet, DONT!

Mine is a 2010 and I constantly fight it. As much as I like the front loading vs top loading I will never get a front loader again. Fortunately the mold doesn’t get on the clothes. I had to write 2 letters and make numerous phone calls - LG is a nightmare to deal with. Their customer service people are barely understandable over the phone, and they never follow up on any of my letters. I just emailed the company again and now they are asking for the same documentation already sent them. I had to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the FTC, and the New Mexico State Atty General. The next step will be to sue them in small claims court. I needed a platform to express my utter frustration with your company. I bought this LG fridge 3 1/2 yrs ago.. Apparently during my absence this summer, my compressor died and you can imagine how badly my fridge with its closed doors smelled after 4 months away. When I called LG, you knew about the compressors failure in this model, (which all owners should have been made aware of). Had it fixed, although the odor continues, even after using every available product. The problem that started after the repair was the NOISE, which is worse than the smell. Had it serviced again, but still the noise continued. Major issue is that the noise is not consistent. It comes and goes and therefore not always heard when repairs are being made. Called LG again and Travis from LG came to repair. He fiddled with the fridge for a few minutes and said it was fixed. Called him 10 minutes later and said the fridge was really noisy now and could he return so he could hear it and maybe even fix it correctly. He said he could not, but would return the next day. He never returned or called me. I have called customer service many, many times, even asking for a supervisor, (one actually hung up on me). Was finally told that the warranty doesnt cover noise. I explained that I never had the noise until you fixed the compressor, but that didnt seem to matter. You said that you would send another of your service people out for a 4th try, but I was done with this nonsense. Had no confidence in your ability to fix anything. My fridge was now a smelly, noisy lemon and I wanted a new fridge (which I said I would share in the cost). My fridge is in an open kitchen, living room and dining room that we cannot use when the fridge noise starts so we have to leave the room or blast the TV to drown out the fridge noise, which turned out to be a bad idea. Not a way to live. At times the fridge sounds like a subway rumbling into the station. This has become a quality of life issue and is no longer worth the aggravation. LGs Life is Good motto is a myth for us. Not only have we suffered for the last 3 weeks, we must now add insult to injury with the expense of buying a new refrigerator. You should all be ashamed of your customer service department and maybe try teaching your people some common sense. Received an email back from LG discussing my AIR CONDITIONER! Need I say anything else?

My experience with my LG is terrible. My refrigerator, as even confirmed by the technician, doesnt cool. And LG said they had numerous problems with the cooling system and leakage. Since January, they came seven times and it has not been fixed. And since January, it hasnt been cooling. We called LG. The fridge is under warranty. From what Im seeing on the warranty information, its a 15-year warranty that technicians have been sent over and over again. The tech re-fixed the entire refrigerator with new parts, new compressor, and still, its not working. I loaded it up the last time he did it, and I told the LG service people its not working, and they told me, Well, bring the person one more time. And as long as they document that its not repairable, they will give me a new refrigerator or pay me whatever the cost of the new refrigerator is nowadays. So I gave them again the benefit of the doubt. The last time they fixed it, only the bottom freezer part was working. I loaded it up with food because it was Easter time and I was expecting company and I needed the space to load the food in there, and two days later, everything has melted, and I still have the food. So the top part never worked. I even did what they asked. I have it documented and turned it over to the attorney general. Because they were not even gonna honor. I have it written in their email, where the lady is saying, Give us one more time, a chance. And theyre still not honoring their email or their writing. Theyve been ignoring me.Also, LG subcontracts to foreigners. Every time I speak with someone, its from the Philippines. They have this executive service department. I try to connect with them, and they dont even take any initiative to do anything. This executive department is a joke. I spoke with every supervisor that existed there, and I have documented their names. I asked for a manager and they wont give me a manager. They say that theyre the ones responsible to do something. Then do something.Im very dissatisfied. Ive looked through the reviews, and every single person that complained about the cooling system gave up. Im not gonna give up. If thats what they think Im gonna do, no way. Now, Im waiting from the attorney general. And they also confirmed that theyve been having problems and a lot of consumers have turned to them where they made LG pay for the refrigerator.

So I bought an LG Top Loading Washing Machine, Model # WT1101CW in June of 2014. After about 6 weeks the washing machine started getting uneven loads, on small batches, normal-sized batches, even just a table cloth and placemats. This now happens about 60% of the loads, if not more often. It fills with TONS of WATER multiple times in an attempt to balance an already balanced load (I take several minutes now to load the washer to make sure its perfect) and has skyrocketed our water bill. High efficiency my rear end. I was in contact with LG and they said its normal. Normal to have a high efficiency washer raise my water bill by 300%? NO thanks. NEVER buying an LG Washer ever again. I bought an LG washing machine model WFT6500 at Courts (Mauritius) Ltd. in November 2009. Serial No. is 908.JWWZ00529. Never once washed clean and so wearily I almost never made use of it during the warranty period, thinking that it must be a machine with very low power and it is normal to wash dirty. However, after the warranty period, I contacted the seller who wanted to send someone to check but for a fee. I refused because they did not think it was a technical problem. And so I blamed myself and nursed my woes stupidly until last month when I realized that the problem comes from the rinse cycle which is not functioning properly. It only spins the clothes but does not throw the water away nor does it do another rinse. The rinse cycle lasts only a few minutes with no additional water coming in or going out until the spin cycle that finally for the first time during the wash and rinse cycle drains the water away, leaving residues of dust in the clothes.I contacted the dealer once more, insisted that it is a defect that has been there since the first wash but they want to repair for a fee. I find this unfair because the machine has never been up to expectations and in spite of being in my possession for four years, I must have used it a dozen times only and not at all for two years at a stretch during that period because of being away from home. I guess it could be a defective machine that has been sold to our Mauritian distributor with or without their knowledge.

On regular loads it shakes like crazy until I rebalance. Told it may be the bearings by Warner-Stellian, but they say nothing they can do. It is only 4 years old.
