LFX 28978ST French door refrigerator - Paid over 3 thousand dollars for this beautiful worthless excuse for a refrigerator. Stopped cooling for the third time in the past year (only 5 years old) and once again ruined everything in both compartments. Compressor out again. This will be compressor #4 (one wouldnt work out of the box) and repairman says not worth fixing as they go out all the time. Signed up for potential class action by one of the internet law firms but they sent me an email a few days ago saying they were not continuing the action. Said they would send my issue to LG as they are very customer focused. The next morning found all food ruined and compressor out. Customer focused... NOT!!! Please please please do not purchase this or any other LG product.

My LG french door is only 2 years old and the refrigerator section stopped cooling. The freezer compartment continues to keep my food cold and frozen. We contacted customer service and had a very challenging time explaining the customer service rep what the problem was. Finally, he said he would have a repair company contact us. The repair company that contacted us is 4 hours away!!! And only service the area I live in once a week. They did work on the refrigerator and determined that a part had to be ordered for it. The repair company said they would contact us as soon as the part arrived. We are now in our 4th week without refrigeration!!! Yes, we had to go through the holidays using coolers and have lost so much costly food! My husband just contacted the repair company again and was again told that they would call us as soon as the part came in. I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR AGAIN.

WT5001Cw washer purchased on 3/17/12 from Sears. Contacted Sears within 1st year to say washer would not dispense hot water. Sent tech out and was told LG said working according to specs. Tech told me to purchase extended warranty so machine would have to be replaced if 4 service calls were made in 1st year for same problem. I did that and then Sears said it didnt apply because LG said working according to specs. After Sears sent 4 technicians out over a period of 1 1/2 years and after the 1st year manufacturer warranty ran out, I was told that nothing could be done.My argument is: I should have been told at purchase or stated in the manual that the machine would not dispense water above 98 degrees, even though it had a hot water selection on it. 98 degrees scientifically is considered lukewarm and the machine will not go above 98 degrees which prohibits me from killing microorganisms in bed linens and bacteria in reusable baby diapers. Sears would not help me and referred me to LG. LG said they cant do anything because the machine is past the 1st year warranty, even though I contacted Sears, who contacted LG within that 1st year. Sears continued to send technicians out with non-workable ideas to get hot water when the bottom line was, it is impossible to get hot water. The machine mixes cold water even when the setting is on hot. I have written to Sears CEO Eddie Lampert and LG corporate office and received responses Sorry but we cant help you with this problem.

We bought a wonderful french door stainless LG frig with all the features we wanted. Twice we woke up and the fridge temperature was above 45F. We thought that we left a door open or the power had gone out. On the third time - with water everywhere in the kitchen and the interior temperature above 50F we called LG and asked for repair. The fridge is less than 15 months old and we paid $2975. It took most of the day to get through all of the automated phone questions, when we finally spoke to a person they said that they would arrange for a repair company to contact us. That took 3 days before we heard from a company (who gets 1 star reviews on yelp) and it took more than a week for them to schedule a repair person who confirmed what LG told them needed to be done. It has been more than 3 weeks and we still do not have our refrigerator repaired. We have had 3 canceled repair appointments and one that did not show up. LG needs to do better than this. We purchased the top of the line refrigerator - this is our third LG fridge and two of them have had problems but their lack of response for repair is unbelievable. We actually got a call from them asking about our customer service experience - how about terrible? We are living out of an ice chest and all of our food has been ruined 3 times. And we still do not have a working fridge.

Purchase LG refrigerator in 2015, now fridge has Stop working due to failed/defective compressor. Fridge stop cooling, not working since 9.14.2020. Their customer service confirm that this problem is pre-known by LG. (Defective compressor), since they were having lots of issue with same. This compressor is under warranty. (10 years) Repair date received was 9.18.2020, with us paying for cost of repairs. However, on 9.18.2020 LGs technician further diagnosed and confirm that compressor was bad/defective, and the reason why fridge was Not cooling/working. He said that he would replace same, thus fixing the problem. We felt relief and happy; however after replacing compressor, saying he was done and we thought, Wow! Finally, this is the end, imagine our dilemma and surprise when he Casually said- Oh! the main board is NOT working and you have to pay additional charges and service fee to replace!! Plus I dont have the part- I have to come back-next week. The fridge Will Not work without it. - Panic mode set in and crying took over.We are broken!! We had beside suffering undue, stress, also suffering physical health issues, since refrigerated medications were loss-cause by this broken appliance. In addition to the loss of food, deterioration of health, mental stress, were still left with a broken fridge. After spending so much on an appliance (said to last 20 years, right?!). Speaking with LG customer service we feel that LG shows lack of concern to all our issues. HELP!! Can anyone at LG please end this suffering. Plus we now question this replacement of main board- why was this not said on initial diagnosis, before he initiated repair of compressor??Plus we are being charge for all this. Not Fair!! Not Right!! Feel abused! At this point we just wish this fridge gone, gone and LG refund our cost price. We want to get back to our normal life, Please. PLEASE!! Can anyone from LG managerial staff address this? Anyone with POSITIVE Answers/results. Is customer satisfaction a priority? (Then why are we treated this way?) HELP!! Have always been a fan of LG, but now???.

Sealed system on 18 month old LG refrigerator (LFXS30766D-01) failed. It was under warranty, but LG has been unable to find anyone in our area to service our refrigerator. It has been over 3 weeks now. They have passed the buck to someone else to try to find someone to service it. Nothing has been done. I have spent hours on the phone trying to find someone to fix it. One LG approved company came to diagnose the issue, charging $100 and stating they were unable to fix the problem and good luck finding someone - no-one around here wants to work on these refrigerators. LG is NOT standing behind their warranty and is not fixing nor reimbursing for their failed product.

I went to Best Buy, and I liked the LG refrigerator so I purchased it. The quality is very bad though, and I’m dealing with them for long time. It has an issue for more than three months and still they didn’t resolve the problem. For three times, they told me they’re gonna give me a replacement. They said they needed a proof of purchase and all this stuff, which I gave them three times, but still, they didn’t resolve the issue. I’m not gonna buy LG products ever in my life again for sure. And I will put my reviews about my experience on all the sites. Go with something else.

I had an LG front load in the washer for six years and the bearing started to go out and needed to be replaced. I called LG and they sold me a warranty to fix the problem. A week later I was contacted by a local appliance store, who came out and looked at my machine. They said yes, it was a bearing problem, but they were not sure that LG would actually authorize the repair, even though I had called LG and specifically requested a bearing repair replacement and they had listened to the machine as it was operating and agreed that it was a bearing problem. The repair technician called them and they did agree to repair my machine. He ordered the parts and two weeks later showed up to do the repair. He worked on my machine for about three hours and finally got the job done. After he had reassembled my machine he said it would be a good idea to run a cycle to make sure it was all cleaned out after the repair. Without me doing anything, he started the machine, which sounded like it was working properly. He left and a few minutes later I left for an appointment. When I came back about 20 minutes later the door on the machine was knocked open the trashcan next to the machine was knocked over water was all over the floor, And the breaker to the machine had been tripped. I called the repair man and he came back within about an hour and looked at the machine. Now the tub, the plastic one that encircles the steel one, has a crack in it and was vibrating so violently inside the machine cabinet that it broke the heating element compartment and spewed water all over the entire inside of the machine in the electronics in there. I called LG to inquire what to do now and they basically say that they will not cover this repair because I should’ve not left the house with the washing machine running unattended. ** believable… I cannot believe that a company would say some such BS to a customer who contacted their repair department, purchased their recommended extended warranty, and used their certified repair technician. And keep in mind it was the technician who at the end of the repair said it would be a good idea to run an empty cycle to clean everything out of the washer. And he did not say you need to stay in the house with your washing machine. And I would imagine almost everybody has washed clothes and left the house with the washer running.I feel that LG has demonstrated incredibly poor customer service and corporate malfeasance with the way they are abusing people with their worthless warranty. I am considering legal action, and possibly a class action lawsuit to see how many other people they have treated in this way. If you have been treated this way, please call me and leave a message at **. Leave your contact information and tell me about your LG warranty nightmare experience. I will write it up and hopefully turn the materials over to a law firm.Nobody should be treated as poorly as I was… Basically they sent a technician into my home who completely destroy my washing machine in an attempt to repair my machine that obviously went wrong, and now LG is blaming me. Ridiculous. Outrageous. Nobody should be allowed to do business this way. I will also be contacting one of our local TV affiliates who does stories on problems like this and see if they want to pick this up. I am pissed and I imagine there are a lot of other people out there just like me.

Purchased refrigerator 3/6/17; currently on my 3rd compressor. Because of frequent compressor failure, sent certified letter to Huntsville, ALA President of LG Electronics USA 11/8/19 and again 12/27/19. Received Returned Receipt back both times, however, have never heard from anyone at LG. Replacing a failed compressor with the same type of compressor time and time again has proven to be very poor strategy, not to mention the inconvenience to your customer during the replacement phase. Loved LG; have 5 LG products in my home. Extremely disappointed with customer service.

I purchased a new LG Range and LG Microwave in April 2019 -installed in May 2019. In October of 2019 the Magnetron and motor fan failed and needed replaced. This was serviced and covered by LG. Now come November of 2020. The motor fan and magnetron is failing again... Was on phone with LG for over an hour explaining that this should not happen in a microwave AGAIN in the short amount of time that Ive had it. LG will not do ANYTHING since its out of my warranty period. After a very lengthy conversation with a manager- they agreed to cover the Magnetron part only (then to find out by a service company that these are covered for 8 years regardless). No help on service fee or the fan part being paid for either. The quote to get this fixed is higher than the cost of a new microwave. Very disappointed. My very cheap microwave before I bought this one lasted 10 years. What gives LG? Dont make customers beg and plead for help on a failing product. There is NO way this microwave should fail this quickly. I believe I received a defective product from the beginning. So frustrating.

I bought LG Refrigerator Model #LFX31925ST about a year ago and all of a sudden it started making this irritating noise that is coming from around the bottom of the fridge. After making so many complaints to LG explaining to them about my problem they were telling me that the fridge was not sitting on a level floor. Making a long story short after a long battle with LG they finally send a technician to fix my problem. He told me to take all the food out of the freezer and he removed the panel that was covering the fan and replaced it with a panel that has a heater. When I asked him why he admitted to me about the design flawed where the fan builds ice and thats where the noise was coming from. He said the new panel has a built in heater so it will not build ice and that he is going around and changing this panel for customers who complain about this problem. For LG not to admit this problem and giving me the run around for more than a year was unacceptable. Had I not bought the extended warranty they would have not bothered to even do anything about it. This is being disingenuous and unfair business practice. So if you have noise problem call LG and ask them straightforward to come and change the panel regardless it being out of warranty or not. Sad but true!

We bought an LG freezer on the bottom french door refrigerator a couple of years ago. One year later, the computer board went out. It wasnt in the warranty. We had to pay for a new computer board. We had to spend a great deal of money for ice in the ice chest to keep things from spoiling. That went on for 3 weeks until the new board arrived. The LG stopped working again soon after. We had to buy a new one, this time, a Maytag. It was bought Oct. 28 and today, the freezer stopped working. Now it has started up again. Very strange. We had given our 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator to our daughter when we bought the LG and that old Whirlpool is still working like a charm. Thats because it has no computer board on the back! Why on earth do name brand companies compromise their name by manufacturing these inferior products now and use a computer board? They take no pride in their name. Their refrigerators are made in Korea, not the US, and are made to be disposable. Never mind the expense to the consumer. Can anyone tell me why there has to be computer boards to run a refrigerator? They are never reliable. I would love to bring a class action lawsuit to manufacturers of these appliances and computer boards, but dont know where to start. I am sure everything is made in Korea. Shame on all those manufacturers!

We purchased new LG front load top of the line largest capacity washing machine (and Dryer) through Best Buy less than 1 month ago. The first time we used it with a large load of clothes it shook so bad it was bumping against the wall. We called for service and two very young men came as a team, looked at it for two minutes and said it was installed too close to the wall and that was why it was vibrating so bad. They moved it 3 away from wall and left without testing it.Next day, another load of clothes and no change, it sounds like a machine gun and a thrashing machine all in one. Another call to LG and they scheduled the LG expert to come out. He takes the washer apart and discovers one of the shock absorbers is missing the connecting pin and was never hooked up. He orders the part and returns a week later to make the repair. While he was here we complained about the second problem with this washing machine which is the water valves that open and close to allow hot and cold water to fill the washer do so in such an abrupt manner that our plumbing pipes bang all the way up to the second floor. His answers is we need to call a plumber to have our pipes fixed. Now we had two other washing machines in this exact location connected to the exact same pipes and never once heard our pipes bang. He also said we could google some third party suppliers of some sort of aftermarket connector that helps with this sort of problem. We should buy them at our expense. Ok we spent $1,200 for this top of the line washing machine and need to buy after market parts to make it work. Round 3 - we called to speak to the LG rep again and explain that the washing machine is still banging our pipes and when it goes into spin mode it shakes, uncontrollably and makes noises that sound like it is coming apart. They are sending another expert Monday. I will not be satisfied until they remove this piece of junk from our home and give us a full refund. I do not know what happened to this companys quality control. We previously owned top of the line LG washing machine and dryer that lasted for 10 years without a service call. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY THIS WASHING MACHINE. Pictures attached for make and model.

Gas Range LSSG3016ST - I have owned this range only 3 months, but I am very frustrated with the moaning whistle noise that comes from the unit the entire time the oven is in use and for 15 minutes or so after the oven shuts off. I thought maybe when it was used a few times it would stop but it hasnt. It is not horribly loud but loud enough I can hear it throughout the kitchen and it really gets on my nerves. I would think for a $2000.00 oven it should be quiet. I am talking with customer service and will write another review per their response. Bought LP model LFX25978ST /00 1/28/2012. Lasted 7 Years. The repairman said we fortunate because in LG training classes the instructor, when asked about the life of the LG fridges, he said 5 yrs avg. Stay away from Samsung and LG Fridges. We were without for 2 wks waiting for part after part till it came down to being the compressor. It was under warranty however LG told me that I should and have to have a certified LG repair person make the diagnosis and fix.Gentleman came and was very courteous. LG sent us a compressor overnight but it took 4 days to receive it. Then come to find out not only was the compressor shot but it leaked freon out into the inner casing and all that would have be replaced. He said go get a new fridge because the repairs would be way more than the cost of a new one. Still have the compressor. Tried to return it to LG, since it will only fit that model, they said would issue an RMA. Its been a month now and I still have not received it. Called they said it would come when it comes. Never again will I buy an LG Appliance.

Soon after we bought this model on 7/28/09, we had to replace the circuit board as a result of what the repairman said was a design flaw, whereby using the self-cleaning mode will burn the circuit boards out if you use them more than once a year. Now, our oven will not heat. The oven indicator says both elements are on, but they are only warm to the touch. We purchased a LG Red Washer and dryer front loading machines with two WDP4R Red pedestal. WM2650HRA washer and DLEX2650R dryer in 01/18/13 with just a few days of delivery we noticed the drum wobbled and didnt seem to balance well. So we called Home Depot where we had purchased them and they sent out a repairman who told us after getting rid of our 29 year old washer that we had a lot to learn about the new washer and dryers. What an understatement that turned out to be. He told my wife we would have to learn to sort clothing by texture as well as color, in order to get the tub to not wobble as much. I couldnt believe he said that and went on to say I have a lot to learn and stated we as consumer have been ripped off. He went on and said that due to environmental concerns and government mandates to manufactures this is what we have to deal with. Over time the washer started to make more and more noise and about two years from the date of purchase the noise has become deafening, so I called a repairman and he told me to take the phone in the laundry room so he could listen over the phone and told me, we had a bearing out, and the repair cost would be $950.00 to repair the washer. Keep in mind we have two people in our family so we have 4 to 5 loads of washing a week on average. For LG to take advantage of consumers with inferior washers is wrong and a class action lawsuit against LG should be started.

We purchased an LG front loader washing machine, LG dryer and LG refrigerator in 2006. The dryer needed repair service once; the washing machine had several issues including nasty smell, weird spots on clothes and needed lots of repair, and the refrigerator has stopped working twice. We had purchased the appliances through Best Buy and were able to cover some of those repairs under the extended warranty. All the appliances are long out of warranty now. Last year, we found that there was an internal leak in the washing machine causing the rear left housing to rust completely through which resulted in a flooded laundry area every time the machine was running. Now the freezer/refrigerator stopped working (again). I have not yet contacted LG as I dont expect them to actually do anything about these issues. The dryer is still running as far as I know. In all fairness, we have used the washer extensively but based on my experience with other brands, I would not buy any LG appliances again. They were expensive, turned out to be substandard, and have costly repairs.

Modern design is what I can really appreciate especially since it saves energy. But I realized that it comes with a lot of technology features that I really enjoy and find tremendously helpful. We purchased two of these dryers from Durochers in Sylvania Ohio. The experience with Durochers was very bad. The customer service was horrible and they damaged our woodwork and cabinets during install and tried to leave it - when it was repaired it was a botch job. However this review is about the dryer itself. Due to a sensor it constantly turns off and does not leave clothes dry, I have to restart it almost three times to get clothes dry. I have tried every cycle. If you have towels it will take all day. Would not recommend these dryers.

We decided to replace our stacking washer/dryer with a new front loading combo. While there are more features than you can shake a stick at, there is a nice electronic tune that plays at the end of a wash and the wash seems very efficient, the dryer is less performant. The standard dry cycle seems to take 6 hours and even though there is an option to dry for less, anything under 2 hours and the clothes are still wet. I'm still happy overall with the purchase - I like the easy-fill detergent/softener drawer, the build quality of the whole appliance and the large drum to hold the clothes so I would definitely recommend it to others.

We purchased this oven in February 2016 years ago and it stopped working properly several months ago. Now the oven temperature does not get hot enough even when raising higher than the normal range. We cant bake anything properly with it because at best, it takes twice as long. Also, this oven has never been easy to clean as advertised. It has been a discouraging experience to have purchased a model that was a supposed upgrade only to have it not working in less than 2.5 years. Unfortunately, the warranty was only for 1 year and we did not purchase an extension.

I have an LG side-by-side refrigerator. Keeps freezing up. Ive had service work on it. I have changed the parts out on it, put new parts in it and it continues to freeze up. I have called the service people about it. No one wants to seem to help me and I too have had a bad experience with LG and I would not recommend to buy LG products to anyone especially that home products as far as the stove refrigerator or the dishwasher. Im hoping that I can get this resolved or are thinking of getting people together to file a lawsuit.

I spent two ** days trying to find out what the codes from my LG LMX28988st refrigerator were trying to say. This fridge I bought From Sears for $2500 3 years ago stopped being cold. I called LG & Sears tech support asking for a service manual, both were less than helpful. I finally found a service manual on a blog link, it was so easy to find out the blinking code said the circuit board and the compressor needed replaced on my 3 year old fridge. (My parents fridge is over 20 yrs old still works.) So I guess dont buy LG or from Sears. I’m ** I wasted all that time talking to useless customer service and getting ** by them without any help.

WT1101C - I bought this LG top loading washer two years ago. It was great. It replaced a front loading washer that had always been a pain. I love the amount of water it used and how efficient it was. It is so big, it will wash my king size duvet cover. Now, not only is the washer constantly off balance, it will actually fill the washer almost to the top to wash clothes. Today, it spent four hours washing my sheets. As it is off balance, I constantly have to check it and at this point, restart it, to spin only in order for it to finish the wash. Even better, I can find only one repair company who will come out and they want $250 to look at it. So much for customer service. I thought it was bad to replace my last washer after 7 years. This is ridiculous. I would not recommend this washer at any price.

I bought a LG LFX31925ST 2 1/2 years ago from Nebraska Furniture Mart. The compressor went out in only 2 1/2 years. You would think when you pay $2400 for a fridge it would last a little bit longer. Last fridge I had lasted 35 years but then again it was not a LG. Got extended warranty but takes over a week and half to get repairman here. I like getting ice for coolers on a daily basis, updating kitchen and laundry room. But rest assured they will not be LG, worst junk I ever bought.

Bought an LG electric range from Lowes. LRE3083st 5 mos. ago still in warranty. First time we used the self clean oven set on 3 hrs (it can also be set on 4 or 5 hrs), the oven and the top burners got so hot that it melted the cabinet doors beside the stove. Talked to several people at customer service, sent all requested documents, got the run around. Finally they refused to do anything about it. Said we must have inferior cabinets. We are afraid of this stove, we think it is a fire hazard. LG products are crap and their customer service is non-existent. BUYER BEWARE!

Design flaw in LG gas burner knob - Seriously, some lawyer needs to file a national class action complaint. This stove is not “fit for its intended purpose,” which is a violation of the nationwide Uniform Commercial Code. As many other commenters have expressed, it’s a death trap. I cannot count how many times I’ve discovered the burner on and flowing gas—when I did not knowingly turn it on. It is unconscionable for LG not to fix this. Please, will some class action lawyer step up?!

My whole family loves it and I dont know why I would do if I had the old one still til this day. All features are great and it was within my budget and we really needed it. The last one is just so old and is about to finally break on us but this one isnt and we will have it for at least 6 years. The LG brand is the best refrigerator. I also like Samsung but LG is more popular and has the better reviews and the most likes so I see why people recommend it and Im glad I got it for the family. But it never worked well. It is the worst purchase I ever did and the worst experience ever. I still have many error codes and it is not even drying anymore. We have had an LG refrigerator for 6.5 years (Model LFC25765ST). It stopped cooling one day. When I called LG Canadas Customer Service Center (in Manila, Philippines) the agents were all very pleasant and professional. However, the experience to get a qualified technician out to support or repair the problem was beyond belief! The management in charge of this division, or divisions responsible to coordinate, and execute on field service and repair are irresponsible and doing incredible damage to the LG brand. Because LG insists on doing the services themselves, the experience is HORRIBLE! They have authorized a very small number of local companies/technicians to do warranty work as well, but the list is really short, and should include a much larger list of qualified service techs. I have 3 LG appliances currently. When I bought them, they were all serviceable by the company/dealer I bought them from. LG changed that a few years back, and really screwed up the potential to have appliances repaired by qualified companies with a positive experience. The details of all the pitfalls of my experiences over a 6 day period and my 9 different calls to the customer service group are too numerous to list here. JUST AVOID using LG techs to perform service if you already have an LG appliance, and AVOID BUYING any LG appliances no matter what!!!

LG is telling me to wait until I have a problem then call. All 3 agents told me the same thing. I thought the point of a recall is to prevent a known issue. Not with LG. The LG refrigerator drawer broke, while the delivery man was still here. It was replaced, but after that, the whole thing started falling apart. The French door shelving falls out frequently, and things hit the kitchen floor. Half of the shelves have broken off, and are not fixable. The meat and both the vegetable drawers have had the clear plastic front break out, and the rollers break off. The meat drawer casing is cracked on the top. The icemaker overflows, and ice flies across the kitchen floor. The light overheats, and the light bulb cover warped from heat, then fell off. The magnetic door seals are floppy and poorly designed, so the fridge has to be closed a special way, to keep it from beeping, and letting me know the doors are improperly closed. All of this happened in the first year. After hours and hours, on the phone with LG, for a couple of weeks, someone finally approved a temporary extension of warranty, and we had the drawer rollers, magnetic door seals, and ice maker fixed. They all broke again within a few weeks.

The next day they sent the same tech, this time he said the part is bad and will need a week to order a new part. We thought we were getting a top of the line washer. Further, he doesn’t balance correctly... as it is suppose to auto balance. First time buying LG. Very disappointed with the product and the service. To have it break in 8 mos. I purchased an LG refrigerator (LSXS26326S-00) in 2015. This year January 11 it stopped cooling. I had a repair man come out to check it. We were told it was the compressor, which would run about $550 labor and $350 for the new compressor (also $145 diagnostic fee). The compressor was ordered and the repairs were done. It was repaired on a Thursday afternoon and stopped working by Friday evening. The repair man came out again and notified us the the BRAND NEW compressor was faulty. He told us this was common with LG parts and this was part of a class action lawsuit. At the time of this review, I am still without a refrigerator and just over $1000 in the negative for repairs that did not solve my problem!! I will never purchase another LG anything!! I am very upset that with this known problem LG as a company did nothing to notify consumers who purchased these faulty models of this problem that is beyond repair. So I did go online to see if the claims were true about a class action lawsuit and they were. The last day to file a claim was February 5, 2021. I was already past that date by the time I was notified there was such a thing. I wasted time and lots money on this situation and couldve just purchased a new refrigerator. I will tell everyone I know to never by LG appliances and go through this horrible experience!!LG this is for you...Consumers like myself work really hard to make sure they purchase quality products. You are doing them a disservice by not being open and honest about your products if they have problems. A company of your magnitude should make good with consumers who purchased these FAULTY models. Reimburse them or offer them a replacement model (equivalent or greater) with at least a 10 year warranty for all the pain and frustration that your product caused!!

I have an LG French Door Refrigerator Model # LFX25971ST. The icemaker, front control panel and water dispenser stopped working. I contacted LG to set up a service appointment. The LG technician came out and diagnosed that it was one of three possible circuit boards. He had to order them which required a second visit. The boards didnt fix it. So, the technician did further diagnosis and thinks that a bad wire in the left door is bad which would require replacing the door. The door is sealed so he cannot get to the wire to fix it. What a stupid design. Anyway, he has to come back for a third visit. I contacted LG customer assistance or should I say crap assistance, and requested a goodwill adjustment since my fridge is out of warranty. I felt my request was reasonable because of the amount of time I lost from work, there was nothing I did to cause the failure, and because of a poor design the repair would be a lot more expensive. The LG agent asked me to scan and send in my sales receipt and he would follow up and get back with me with a decision. That was a week ago. I finally called again and as usual, with these customer service centers you get people that are clueless. She told me she would put my request in but it takes about three business days to get a decision. I told her that I did this a week ago. Then she started telling me my fridge was out of warranty. Duh! Really? You know, if its out of warranty and LG doesnt want to back their products, thats life, but they didnt even keep their promise and call me back with a decision. I remember when refrigerators lasted for 30 years. Now, I think LG puts in all this useless electronics which just causes more things that go wrong, forcing customers to have to pay to keep their refrigerators running. Anyway, LG is off my shopping list forever. A Fridge that breaks thats only four years old tells you what kind of quality they have but hey they back that up with lousy customer service. When it comes to LG products all I can say is, Buyer Beware!

The LG refrigerator was energy efficient, stainless steel with side by side doors. I liked the refrigerator size. The ice maker features were nice. But the pullout freezer would get full fast. The filter needed to be changed too often. I wish the freezer was bigger. I had to buy another freezer because the freezer was so small. Not enough space. Sometimes the food in the freezer would defrost. And the freezer on the bottom wasnt very big and would filled too full. But I really just liked the way the refrigerator looks. It is a sleek looking piece of equipment. I did wish it had a few more luxury features. But, overall, it was the best bang for the buck. It had good reviews, had a good price and it was attractive. I bought an LG Refrig/Freezer side by side unit in 2013. Within four months, the doors stopped sealing causing all food inside to spoil while I was out of town. Not covered by warranty, spent over $200 to have it repaired. Repair seal was no better which resulted in a second spoilage and waste of hundreds of dollars of food. Spent another $200 - all this within a year. I bought LG because they were supposedly good. I have learned the hard way. This is far from the truth. This morning my refrigerator was dead at the age of 31 months. After calling support number I was told to hire a technician. I complained to LG customer service about overcooling issue. My tomato will turn into stone, leafy vegetables get spoiled with ice crystals forming on them. So far, I must have thrown vegetables worth $600 plus. My refrigerator was under warranty. Technician would check and confirm everything is working fine, no root cause analysis. After 2 visits, I demanded to have new technician, who said air flow tower needs replacement. After replacement, unit worked for few weeks and again same problem started happening. I called LG, again technicians visited but could not fix the problem. I am still having issues with brand new refrigerator where I cannot store vegetables. Fortunately, I have 10+ year old another refrigerator that I use for storing vegetables. Now, when I call LG, they are saying, unit is out of warranty so you need to pay. My issue was reported when it was under warranty, it was never fixed, but they will not accept. I am very frustrated. It seems it has some manufacturing defect or they do not have qualified technicians to do root cause analysis of the problem.

I have never written a review before! But I think now is the time! Frustration has taken over. We have all LG in our home (Washer, Dryer, Smart TV, Sound Bars, Dish Washer, Fridge with water and ice, Microwave, and Stove). I believe all are less than 3 years old. I agree with the other people who have written reviews on the dishwasher, it does not clean very well. Works best if you only have it half full and dishes have lots of space between them. Have to put it on pre-soak and then the 2-hour cycle. But it is quiet! Now for the frustration, our stove. We have the flat top with upper and lower ovens. Great idea as we use the upper oven for most things. The glass in the doors have stains between the glass. We called and it is a common issue and they recommend having the glass removed and have it cleaned but it will get dirty again so be prepared to do it somewhat often. The upper ceramic top has 4 elements (2 small in the back and two large in the front). My preference would be 1 small and 1 large in both back and front like most stove tops. One of the large front elements burned out a few weeks ago. We called to order the element and install it myself. Not a hard task if you are at all mechanically inclined. You cannot order parts and work on LG unless you are a certified repair shop?? It was not a money issue, it was something I wanted to do. So we prepaid on our visa to have a LG service person come in and replace the element. They said they would be there so we would have to have someone home between 7AM and 7 PM (odd, but one of the family members stayed home from work that day, they were to call just before arriving). They never showed up or called?? We called LG and questioned why and rescheduled for yesterday. Again no one showed up!! I called last night (on the phone for 1 hour and 10 minutes). The end result was they would credit our Visa and we could call a service repair shop ourselves (has to be LG trained) and get it fixed ourselves!!! Life is Good.

We purchased a counter-depth LG French Door unit from Lowes about 5 years ago with a 3-year service agreement. Because LG doesnt make as many counter depth compared to standard depth, it cost more (~$3000). Cosmetically and storage-wise, we were quite happy with it, but early in the first year we noticed that ice was building up behind the left bottom storage drawer. Lowes repairman replaced the entire rear fan/control unit, explaining that if we didnt have the service contract it would have cost us about $500.Unfortunately 2-more service calls by 2 different organizations were required in the first 3-years --- all for the same ice problem! We then purchased a 1-year extension for the service agreement because it was obvious that our $3000 fridge had a problem no one seemed to be able to fix. We were correct, because we had more ice in that year.Numerous calls and emails to LG and Lowes during these 5-years got us little more than asking for more and more details about previous repairs. They also referred us to someone to repair it. They all tried, replacing more pieces and parts. Finally, a few months ago when ice again recurred we spent $90 for another LG expert to review our issue. They told us LG had issued some sort of bulletin about this problem, and for another $500 for the part, plus labor, they could fix it. At this point we had already spent at least $750 and dozens of hours trying to fix a $3000 fridge and had no confidence anyone could repair it properly, so this afternoon our new Frigidaire will be installed and the LG hauled away; and Im writing this review. I purchased a top load LG washer and dryer about 5 years ago. The washer takes 3 times as long to complete cycles than it should. It begins to rinse and spin, then the UE signal comes on. After rebalancing the clothes the rinsing and spinning cycles begin again and the entire sequence happens over and over. I now have to manually wait for the spinning to almost finish then stop the cycle (this even happens with small loads so I am not overloading the washer). The washer has been balanced numerous times as well. If I don’t monitor the situation it can take over 2 1/2 hours for a simple load of laundry to finish. I have also noticed a foul smell at times which necessitates the use of bleach and/or Lysol for cleaning the tub. The dryer has been fine but the washer has been very disappointing and I’m sure has cost much more in utility bills due to unmonitored cycle times when I am not watching closely enough.

Not really happy with the machine nor LG customer service. My fiancé got a really good deal on the washer but a year later, we found out why the machine was discontinued. We could not take the machine back nor get our money back. We had the update and now I regret purchasing this machine. Some days I feel like the machine will still blow. I dont like how it bangs against the sides. It tends to keep running. What was a water saver is not a water saver no more. LG has really bad customer service and I think they should be giving refunds out. I cannot afford to buy a New machine and cannot sell this machine because I will never get my money back for the machine. For something that LG might have known about before they recalled the machine.

Bought new LG dishwasher at Sears, not knowing there was a service bulletin
Bought new LG dishwasher at Sears, not knowing there was a service bulletin on this particular machine concerning a door design flaw that caused a leak. When ours started leaking shortly after the warranty expired, LG wouldnt do anything. Customer service was rude, confrontational, and borderline belligerent. We were unable to get the dishwasher to quit leaking without spending more on it than it was worth, so we yanked it and replaced it with a Whirlpool. It works great. We will NEVER buy any LG product ever again.

I purchased glass top electric range, French door refrigerator, dishwasher, & microwave about 7 years ago. I’ve already had all 3 major appliance serviced. Dishwasher 6mos after purchase, frig 3 yrs, range 6 mod ago flashed F9 no heat in oven. Now 2 LG elements on stove, sometimes heat up, sometimes not. Usually if I put them on high the will go on, but can’t regulate them. I’ve always owned GE appliances and never replaced bc they no longer worked. They’d been out dated. This will be my 2nd repair for a couple hundred $$ within 6mos on a 7yr old stove. Also NO ONE wants to service LG. At least in my area. Appliances look great but not dependable.

The mistake I made, during my remodel I ordered my refrigerator which would take 3 weeks to be shipped. Wow! So glad I read these other complaints. I thought I was doing something terribly wrong to have my just washed clothing smell so foul. Bad product. We should get our money back, but it doesnt sound like we will. We, the consumer, who purchased this product have been pretty much robbed of our dollars. They do not back their product. We lose. It makes me very angry since we work so hard for our money.

The washer will not spin out. It constantly REFILLS with washer and repeats the wash. It is a hellish way to do laundry. Dryer is okay but it is running triple the normal time due to the clothes being WET. I will not stop until I get a replacement. Have called LG - they barely speak English. I will now deal with PC Richards as they get my check each month!!! This machine has cost me money in wages, water bills and gas. If anyone has additional resources, please post a comment so we can all join together.

We purchased an LG French door fridge 1.5 years ago. It has been getting stains on the front and as it is stainless steel. This was a surprise but the bigger issue is it suddenly stopped working. We called LG and they confirmed there is a faulty part and they will fix it; however it will take them 3-5 days. We just shopped and are a family of 5... 3 to 5 days is ridiculous. We are now scrambling to get food moved to our extra freezer and tiny kids drink fridge in the basement and have to wait for up to a week to have a known defective product fixed. LGs customer service is terrible and their product is not worth the over $2k we spent. Very disappointed!

I purchased LG stainless double-door bottom freezer refrigerator model #lfy
I purchased LG stainless double-door bottom freezer refrigerator model #lfy25980st in 2009. I purchased a two-year extended warranty on the item. From the first six months, the ice maker and water dispenser worker poorly. Servicemen were out several times attempting to repair it. Finally they replaced it. I woke up several times after that to water all over my kitchen floor where water was running from dispenser. Then in September of 2011, I came home from vacation to find all the food in the freezer thawed and milk spoiled in fridge. In December that same year, the food on top shelf of fridge was frozen. I was told that I had the vents blocked with too much food. In 2012, the digital lock signal on the door panel would make sounds turning on and off the lock which turns off the water and ice dispenser. It made this noise all night. At this time, my warranty was up and I was using my home warranty plan at $55.00 per visit with a visit sometimes twice a month. I lost food at $400.00 a second time. The service men came out, changed the freezer sensor twice, replaced freezer door on unit and changed the motherboard in back of unit. It still didnt work properly. My home warranty company called LG, spoke to a gentleman named Alex who deemed it unrepairable on March 29th, 2014 with a wiring problem. I was told to send in my proof of purchase and repair history and they would replace or discount another one. Today, 5/8/2014, they have done nothing. As a matter of fact, I was told that since I had a warranty company, they would do nothing. The company only covers $500.00 per year on any covered item and they had already spent that trying to repair it. I would think LG could make a unit that works, not just looks good. Not even two good years. No one should ever buy LG products; I know that is it for my family!!

LG Inverter Linear compressor went bad 3 weeks ago. This is my second purchase of a LG refrigerator. I love the adjustable space inside the refrigerator and the constraint cooling throughout the refrigerator. My issue is I have been without a refrigerator for 3 weeks with family coming in tomorrow. My husband called the LG service department on November 25 and they found us an authorized dealer but they are an hour south of our home. They came out on November 27 and told us our compressor went bad and would order another one. Needless to say, Thanksgiving dinner was served out of coolers and neighbors spare refrigerators. We have been calling both the LG service department and the service company that LG said would fix our compressor. The service company says they cannot get a compressor when we call them. LG service department says they have them in stock. I am not sure what is going on but three weeks without a refrigerator is extremely bad customer service. I need help with getting my refrigerator fixed and don’t know where to turn.

On 12/20/2020 after being away we come home to again the second compressor gone bad. They are coming out to fix it no problem because they were sued in a class action lawsuit over their compressors but it doesnt help when you have to throw hundreds of dollars worth of food out again because a product is made so poorly. We have decided to buy another refrigerator because we dont feel comfortable relying on this lg piece of garbage. The right thing to do would be to refund us for the refrigerator and replace the hundreds of dollars worth of food we have had to trash no once but twice. I do not recommend their products to anyone.

We purchased an LG super capacity refrigerator in 2017. A few months later we began having issues with the refrigerator. From making loud grinding noises to not holding its temperature. Most recently, the refrigerator stopped working altogether, spoiling all of the food we had inside. We have had technicians come out a total of 6 TIMES and we still do not have a solution! Our freezer is currently not working and the ice dispenser is leaking. We have had a non-working refrigerator for over a week. We are extremely disappointed in this product and the zero solutions LG has offered. We will never purchase another LG product and will definitely warn others not to do so.

Before two months ago I had made a complaint, though the technician has contacted me and visited my house within 48 hours. He said that it requires changing the gas pipe and refilling the gas and that could not be possibly done at home. The product will go to workshop of the company and after that, they have taken approximately a month just by saying the transport man is not there, so we are unable to meet your complaint. I have made calls for a hundred times to them. After it came from workshop, not even 25 days have passed, it has started giving the same problem. At this time when I had made a complaint, they are unable to say again if it is chargeable or not, no proper feedback. I am feeling like I have done a major mistake by purchasing an LG product.

The saga of the LG refrigerator: 11 months ago we bought an LG refrigerator
The saga of the LG refrigerator: 11 months ago we bought an LG refrigerator. When we came back to town the refrigerator had broken and everything in freezer was defrosted. We had to throw away hundreds of dollars of food. We contacted Costco concierge who contacted LG. This is where the fun begins: LG referred us to a repair company that had gone out of business, but we were told we had to wait 48 hours for them to contact us. Then we were given the name of another company several hours away from us who called us right back stated that a part had to be ordered and received before they could fix it. This was done without ever evaluating the problem. When the part arrived several days later, we were told we now had to wait several more days before someone could come out and install it. After the part was installed, we were told to let them know if the refrigerator hadnt cooled by the next day. It had not. They need several more days before a repair person could be scheduled to come back. The person came back and was not qualified to fix the problem - LG had referred us to a company that was not qualified to do repairs! After 6 hours on hold over two days between Costco concierge, LG customer service, and LG resolution department, I asked for a new refrigerator because we were told the next repair company could not come out to even look at the refrigerator for another week! In the mean time we are living out of a cooler trying to keep my husband fed with a special diet to deal with his throat cancer. I was assured by someone in the Resolutions department that our request was expedited, but it was not. We are now told that they have a week to decide whether to give us a new refrigerator or continue to draw out repair on the current one after initially telling us we would hear by the next day. When calling again today, the date given by LG of when they will respond has been moved back yet again. So that 3 weeks out we still are no closer to a repair.

Purchased LG washer/dryer set 18 months ago and it has to be the worst ever!! Washer: clothes come out partially dry, with new spots that it didnt have going in, lint from some unknown origin, still soiled. Steam dryer: turns off after 2 minutes and clothes still wet so we have to use timed drying. And dont use steam function because clothes come out soaked, yes, from the d-r-y-e-r. We thought we were getting the top of the line water efficient appliance and ended up getting nothing but frustration. Nothing efficient when you have to wash everything on bulky/heavy soil just to get it somewhat clean and then to add the need to wash several times to get them clean only adds insult to injury. Never again will I purchase another LG washer/dryer and wondering why they are not being held accountable for such a lousy product!!!

Received a replacement compressor, but it was the wrong part. Had to contact customer service to let them know on Aug 12th. They asked for a picture of the serial tag, which I sent that same day. They replied Aug 14th, saying they were checking with their parts dept. I contacted them Aug 16 asking for an update, and again on Aug 22, to which they replied that they would be happy to look into this for you.On Aug 27, I got a message saying that the part should arrive that day. The tech we hired came 2 days later to install. So... after 2 months of living out of a cooler, we had our refrigerator back. As I said in my original review, the refrigerator is perfect for us, I love it. Unfortunately, I wouldnt buy another LG product, ever. If they start giving them away for free, Id be in line, but, nope. Not spending any money on their products. I still stand by the one star rating.

ALL appliances purchased June - Aug 2020 (they arrived at different times). I INSISTED on getting LG appliances, as I had only known them to be a superior product. BOY was I shocked at the horrible product they have become. Our new appliances were purchased all at once. Our washer was defective from the first day and had to be replaced, our new fridge is making strange sounds and needs to be repaired (I suspect it is the compressor), and our dishwasher refuses to latch closed on a regular basis. The reviews I read now are horrible and it sickens me that I saved for years to buy new appliances that are in my opinion, garbage. As far as LG goes, run away as hard and as fast as you can! Ps: their customer service in regards to the repairs were very rude in spite of my being polite. One young guy actually hung up on me after I had to call three times for a response! HORRIBLE product, HORRIBLE service...

Within months of buying our LG refrigerator, the fake stainless steel finish started coming off the handles. Now the handles looked worn and shabby. I called a repairman and had them replaced with new handles. These lasted just about a year, and then the fake stainless finish started coming off again. They look terrible ...scratchy, peeling, shabby ... just makes the refrigerator look awful. Same thing is happening to the outside covering on the door ice dispenser. Not only that, the ice maker will suddenly stop producing ice. Then we just have to wait until it decides to start working again. Sometimes its a few days ...other times a week or two. I hate this refrigerator and will not ever buy LG again. We are in the process of replacing this refrigerator. While looking around, I see LG still has not upgraded their handles to real stainless steel. (At least, they should offer an upgrade, or free replacements.) The handles cost almost $200 each with tax. You will be sad and embarrassed by how this looks in your kitchen within a few months.

We purchased our refrigerator a little over three years ago. The compressor just went. We lost everything in both the fridge and the freezer. All the ice in the ice maker melted and leaked all over the floor. I called the LG number found the manual. I was on hold for over 30 minutes. The refrigerator “specialist” asked me find the model number and serial number. The place he told me to look was incorrect. He became impatient with me and told me he could only give me three minutes. Three minutes... I found the information (not where he told me to look) and he then gave me the names and numbers of two local appliance repair businesses. When I called one of the numbers I was asked for a PIN # from LG. Apparently the “specialist” was supposed to have given me one because the fridge parts are still under warranty. Now I had to find the receipt for when we purchased the refrigerator. This all happened two days before we were leaving for vacation. So obviously the refrigerator won’t be fixed until after we get back. I’m extremely disappointed with this LG product. I can’t imagine ever buying another LG product. I will certainly be warning friends and family.

I have an LG dishwasher, stove, refrig and microwave in my kitchen. The stove, I love... The frig, I like. The microwave really works well. The only thing I would like to have that it dont is a quick min button. My other unit that was the button that we used 9 times out of 10. The dishwasher on the other hand, I have hate for. First of all, it never gets my dishes clean. It takes 2 hours to run and it doesnt get any of the dishes clean in that time. (JUST AN FYI... THE ENERGY SAVERS IS NOT ENERGY SAVING FOR THE CONSUMER... MIGHT WANNA DO A LITTLE RESEARCH ON THAT ONE) BUT ANYWAY...The LG dishwasher dont even rinse the dish soap off its own door. It is by far the worst dishwasher that I have ever had and I really dont have time to do dishes, thats why I have a dishwasher. My LG dishwasher has a lovely chime and thats all its good for. I have stuck a slice of cardboard in there with my dishes to see if it would even get wet... It had a few spots on it and it was a little damp from the high humidity during the disinfecting cycle (that by the way is so hot that I have had a couple of ceramic cups crack in half from the extreme heat). Second... be careful if you have one of these LG dishwashers because I opened it and let the door fall to its resting place so I could load it and the handle landed on the top of my foot and I had a large hematoma that turned black and blue covering the entire top of my foot for weeks from having it land on my foot. I thought it was broke to be honest. The thing is Im grown and life is hard enough to deal with manufacturers taking advantage of consumers by selling them products that dont work at all. Surely they did test on these and knew that they were unable to clean dishes. The thing is I use to love LG. Ive had several of their flat screens and of course I did my entire kitchen in LG... But for them to know that they made a shoddy product and not do right by the people that supported them by replacing the metal chimney boxes they sold us instead of dishwashers makes me sad... Ive spent months of my hard earned income on their products and to be swindled like this by them makes me so sad that even though I love their other products, I wont be supporting their company brand any longer. Its a warning... If you want clean dishes, do your kitchen with another brand!

I have a washing machine that is 3 years old that needed a repair covered under the 7-year warranty. I picked up 2 LG stainless steel above range microwaves that were both used
I picked up 2 LG stainless steel above range microwaves that were both used, very attractive looking models, 1 was purchased 1 week before the other from different places and they both have the exact same cracked door. The door cracks on the side by the handle just below the arm that locks in place exits the frame. This has to be happening to every single one made since I got 2 in 2 weeks. For all of those who picked out all brand new LG products for their choice of appliances I have to ask if they would have chosen them if the name was Gold Star? Remember that terrible low quality manufacturer from the 1990s that made complete junk? Well its the same company that changed their name around 2000 to LG! How about that! Did you know this? Of course you didnt or you never would have considered LG for anything especially to be your brand for all your major appliances. Sometimes you need to research companies before you buy them. New names like Samsung, LG, Daewoo, Funia, Symphony, Orion, Oritron, iHome, Emerson, Visio, Trutech, Durabrand, Insignia, etc... All have some background, while some of these brands may make 1 or 2 good items, Funia is 1 of the largest manufacturers of all products made in China (kinda like a Mitsubishi or Sony in their own right) that actually makes products for dozens of companies including Sony and a long list of their own sub-companies plus for their own brand name as well. You would be surprised to know just how many other brands they provide parts for. Yet most would pick a Samsung over Funai any day of the week, just to pay more for something thats probably not even better or maybe even inferior to a Funai brand item.Funai has been around forever like Matsushita, Nakamichi, Sony, Yamaha, Mitsubishi, Matsubara, Akia, Awai, Nippon, JVC, and other Asian companies who have all made good stuff at one time but their parent companies have changed as the names are sold to larger conglomerates who names are never shown on their products. Most recently Samsung bought out the Harmon Group which has been making top notch audio gear for generations. Infinity, JBL, Harmon Kardon, Crown and others will no longer be what they once were, this happened 2 years ago and if you havent noticed yet these companies are not winning any high praise from the groups that once held them as top in their field. This is why its important to know who really makes the stuff you buy. Samsung is a maker of junk, plain and simple. They bought Harmon to try and get their foot in the door on car audio electronics and have really no other interest in continuing making high end audio, they will try to phase them out and apply their own brand name audio which will follow along their same disposable electronics junk they have shown to make in the past. You will see nothing impressive coming from them, all flash and bells and whistles. More plastic molded stuff like theyre used to making and they will market it for those who will fall for it. Looks definitely arent everything when it come to electronics, but many will learn the hard way. As most who bought LG did!

We replaced older but well-functioning washer and dryer with the upright LG. We were told by the salespersons that this was the best although expensive system. The research we read also led us to believe we were making a great investment. Wrong! The smell and mold that builds up is unbearable. Our room downstairs smells moldy ever since we began using our machine. The washer shakes horribly. We also had an LG serviceman come twice. We paid for his time, travel and service to adjust the legs of the machine. It still shakes and now leaks. Of course, this all started happening once the year warranty expired. When I contacted the LG company directly about the problems, I was directed to use the LG service repair. Beyond disappointed and frustrated. We are worried about the negative impact we may experience with our health with the constant mold that continues to plague the machine. After reading all the logs, something needs to be done about this problem! LG WM2233HW.

0 stars ! We have had the LG front loading washer for several years and have tried all tricks to get rid of the moldy smell, like leaving the door open when not in use, to no avail. The repair man suggested we run a bleach load first to help kill the smell prior to doing the other loads, or just run it empty with bleach prior to using it. We bought it for its efficiency, not to waste energy! We have reached the end of our rope with this washer and feel it is irresponsible to even give it away due to the health concerns.

So very angry with LG refrigerator, we had bought our fridge exactly 2 years ago and all of a sudden it stop cooling. We have called LG numerous times and all they say is, We will send someone out to fix it. Well we wait for these repair companies to come and when the day gets here they reschedule. So we lost a full days of work waiting on these guys. This happened four times that they reschedule. So we call LG and they just give you the runaround. We have been out of a Refrigerator for going on 2 months. We finally got fed up and requested a new fridge. We spent 1600 dollars on this fridge and for it to go out in 2 years. I have an old fridge out back that has been working longer than I have been alive. DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR. They will not help you whatsoever.

Our refrigerator went out about 3 weeks ago. We had one repair technician come out who said the compressor and motherboard needed to be replaced. He ordered the part and 4 days later came to do the repair. Upon disconnecting the compressor, he said there was something else wrong with the refrigerator as there was no Freon in the system. He indicated that either the evaporator was bad or there was a leak in the line. He said there should have been Freon in the system when he disconnected the compressor, but there was none. He indicated we needed to contact LG to have them send out one of their service technicians to complete the repair. That is when all the problems arose. LG issued a repair order and a new technician called us. When he learned that another technician had opened the refrigerator to change the compressor, he said he would not touch the refrigerator. We call LG back and requested the work order be directed back to the original technician at our request, but to our dismay, the technician said he did not have the equipment to do the repair. Since then we have been trying to get in touch with LGs executive services and they saying they will call us back if we get disconnected. Sure enough, when they attempt to connect us to their Executive Service group (about 2 or 3 times), we get disconnected and have not received a call back.We contacted several companies that LG has referred us to call and found one that said they would come out and evaluate the refrigerator, but we needed to get a work order from LG assigned specifically to them for them to come out and work on the refrigerator. We are still waiting on LG for that work order. What else can we do?

I purchased an LG WT5001CW top-load washer in March 2011. It now overfills the tub and will not agitate. It will spin out if you put on the spin cycle. It is one of the models with the smart diagnostics,” in which supposedly you can call LG and hold the phone near the machine and they can diagnose the problem with the machine. I called LG’s number for the smart diagnostics service and was asked what error code was displayed. When I told them that no codes were shown, they said they could not run the smart diagnostics program. Apparently, this feature is another of LGs false advertising ploys. They then gave me the name of the repair service in my city. I called this company and was told that they do not service any LG products. I have a relative who has operated an appliance repair business for over 30 years and he told me he will not touch LG products. I have not been happy with the machine since it was new. It runs the motor more than 50% longer than the old non-energy efficient machine it replaced. It may save a little water as at times the clothes have dry spots where they were never in the water. However, water is cheap in my city, but electricity is not cheap. So this machine overall costs more to run than the old machine. I sure wish I had found this site before purchasing this product. I will not buy LG again, that is for certain.

My LG electric range touch pad does not always work. Most often it is when I press Bake (350 degree light comes on) and then Start.... and nothing happens!!!! I move my finger all around the area and it wont start. So then I press Clear and voila, no problem; that works just fine!!! In over two years of ownership, this has happened at least a dozen times. Eventually it will work, but there is no rhyme or reason why!!!
