Boy, do I wish I had read this website 2+ years ago, when I decided to purchase this LG WT5070CW HE WaveForce top loader. I too was swayed by the glowing review from Consumer Reports. Ive been burned several times for following their recommendations, but thats a different story. This has to be the worst washing machine ever. I agree with everything everyone has already said. The bleach dispenser on my machine is also rusting (identical picture to the ones already posted).Ive had clothes come out with detergent still on them, dry spots where the water never even penetrated, all stains are still on the clothes. Ive re-washed, soaked, applied stain removers, etc... If theres any grease/oil component to the stain, you will still have it on your clothes -- even after the heavy duty cycle. Try to do a load of sheets (and Im talking about one set of sheets without the pillow cases) - they just float on the surface and never get pulled down into the tub of water. Come out stale smelling. I am so over this machine. How does something like this get foisted on the public? There are so many identical complaints. I could have written each one of these posted here. As I am merely reiterating that which has been said, I will stop. I have just purchased a Speed Queen top loader (old fashioned agitator type) that Ive never heard any negative reviews about. Its being delivered tomorrow morning. Hallelujah! I am donating this present piece of garbage to whomever wants it.

I too made the mistake of buying LG appliances. My dishwasher motor has seized. Never felt the dishwasher worked correctly. 1/2 time soaking wet and 1/2 time dry. The utensil basket pieces broken out on the bottom. The machine is very loud. Takes a ridiculous long cycle of two hours to wash dishes. My wash machine is also now acting up and I am getting frequent error signs. If you want appliances to last longer than 4 years look elsewhere. Foreign call center with little to no customer service.

Very pleased with refrigerator repair process. It went very smoothly and our freezer is working fine now. I do think that when you pay 2K to 4K for a fridge, it should last longer than 2 yrs. The issue I have is trying to get customer service to compensate us for food loss (which they informed us we were entitled to). I have talked numerous times to customer service and still NO CALLBACK WHEN PROMISED! PLEASE DON’T MAKE PROMISES YOU KNOW YOU’RE NOT GOING TO KEEP!!

Got an LG fridge 3 years and 1 month ago. Had to have someone come fix the ice machine about the 2 year mark and now its not cooling at all (fridge or freezer). Called warranty. They passed me along to the extended warranty where I had to diagnose the issue through a series of yes no problems. When I finally speak to someone they say they are ordering parts and the repair date is 1 week later. The repair day come with no contact. So I called to see if we are still scheduled and find out the parts are not in and it will be 4 more days before its fixed. 2 weeks to order parts and fix a 3 year old fridge. Next time I would rather get a new one from different company. Save time, stress, lost food and frustration by going with another brand.

This refrigerator was purchased, before we bought our home, on 4/2/2015 by the previous owners. We bought the house on 8/31/17, and the appliances conveyed with the sale. On 9/23/2019, it abruptly stopped cooling without warning. When we called LG, they agreed to send a certified LG repair company out to us to diagnose the problem. This is one of the infamous models with the notoriously bad compressors. When the first repairman came out 9/30/2019, he diagnosed that it needed a full rebuild: compressor, evaporator, and dryer. LG rejected that estimate, mailed us a new compressor, and set up another appointment with the only other Certified LG Service provider in our area. The second company came out on 10/15 and replaced the compressor. The refrigerator seemed to be functioning normally for 10 days, just long enough for me to trust it again and fill it with groceries. Then it abruptly stopped working again. We were told that the earliest repair appointment would be 11/08, but that there was absolutely nooo wayyyy we would have to wait that long because this issue was being escalated to the early service list. We were given a $200 voucher for replacement groceries.11/08 Comes, and the service company is at our house again. He pokes around, makes a few phone calls, and determines that the refrigerator DOES need a new evaporator and cooler, but because the parts werent at my house, theyd have to come back. Their earliest appointment date was 12/3. The refrigerator was not freezing, but was holding at a pretty consistent 39 degrees, so we were able to still keep condiments and produce in the fridge. Thanksgiving passes without a functioning refrigerator.12/3, the fourth day we have taken off work for this issue, the repairman comes, spends three hours at my house, tells me he needs to make a phone call, and pulls out of my driveway leaving huge refrigerator parts behind. The fridge is now in worse shape than before, as it is not cooling at all. I also have old, ruined refrigerator parts that Ive been told to keep at my house until they can come back out and collect/recycle them responsibly. The fridge maintains a constant 78 degrees, which is 13 degrees warmer than I even heat my house in the winter...That night, we were told by LG that we would qualify for a refund or replacement of the refrigerator and that they would send us an email with a portal for uploading documents, but when I called back a few days later after never receiving the information, I was told that some sort of malfunction had caused them to delete my email address from the ticket. With each conversation I have with LG, and with the Certified LG Companies that they choose to do business with despite the most 1 star reviews I have ever seen on Google, I am left more flabbergasted and confused. My fiance is a construction worker, and I am a high school teacher. I have never experienced the level of disrespect and inconsistency as I have with LG throughout this ordeal. We have had to take off four days of work, lost 100s of dollars in groceries, and countless hours on the phone due to no fault or negligence of our own. I cant believe a multi-million dollar international company cannot do any better than this. We have another appointment on 12/27, so I will not be able to host another family holiday, and that will mark exactly three months since our fridge was rendered inoperable the first time.

We bought our LG gas stove in 2009. The first problem we had with it was a week before the warranty was up, lucky for us. The problem was that the valves for turning on the stove were too easy to turn on. I had accidentally turned the stove on with my behind as I turned away from the stove and brushed against the knobs. I didnt think much of it at the time until our toddler was working his way around the kitchen and on two occasions slapped at the knobs and turned the gas on in both cases. We immediately called the LG service line and they had the valves replaced. What we noticed shortly after was the knobs themselves getting loose. When I checked them out, I noticed that the backer was cracking and crumbling away. I contacted company for replacement parts and was shocked at the cost of replacing the knobs, about 30% of the cost of the stove itself. I checked the net and found that this was a common problem with no solution listed. What I did to correct it was to take one of the remaining better knobs and go to a good appliance retailer. I pulled knobs of stoves in inventory and checked to see if the LG knob would fit. When I got one, I asked about ordering replacement knobs for that unit and found them to be of better quality and lower replacement cost. I picked up a set of 5 for under a $100 and I am sure I could have gotten a better deal if I wasnt in such a hurry to get a set that fit. I will never by an LG again and have told everyone I work with my LG horror story. Also, my LG french door fridge has had a drawer bracket crack and my LG dishwasher is experiencing problems as well. They were all bought at the same time.

I purchased an LG washing machine in 2011. At the time of its purchase, the machine started to produce oil like stains on the clothes. I tried several detergents and purchased several different types of tub cleaners to no avail. After 6 months of repeated stains, I called the Sears technical department to complain about the situation. A technician was sent out to my house to provide preventive maintenance. Upon arrival, I indicated that the machine did not require its yearly maintenance but rather a repair. The technician indicated, after looking at the machine, that he could not detect a deficiency with the machine. He did acknowledge that the stains were coming from the machine. Several calls to the technical department, the customer service department, and an in store visit to Sears to discuss the way forward with an area manager has proven to be futile. I still sit with a machine that produces oil stains on my clothes. I have incurred enormous costs having to throw away clothes because they are no longer fit to wear. I am now considering purchasing another machine, and I have stopped purchasing anything from Sears purely out of principle.

We bought our LG range from American in 2008, and just months after, the knobs began to pucker and wrinkle. American had gone out of business by then, so we called LG. They said $60+ each for replacements - there are 5 knobs. We decided to live with it until we could find something quality and less expensive, which we havent. Now the chrome-colored wrap is peeling off to reveal a plastic knob...and the High-Medium-Low is on the wrap! The range has otherwise been fine, but cheap knobs will cause us to seek another range.

I purchased a LG electric range Model No. LRE30453ST on 11/25/2011 for $885.90 from Home Depot. Unfortunately I hardly used the oven to realize I was sold a defective range. The electronic control pad does not work for any of the oven options because the start sensor is defective. I called both Home Depot (Store 2901 - 228-867-9925) and LG (1-800-243-0000) customer service departments. I was told by LG they only have a one year warranty on their products and Home Depot told me that they only have a two year warranty period. All I know is that I have basically a new appliance that took me 1 years to pay off and it is now nothing more than a decoration taking up space in my kitchen. Shame on LG Electronics and Home Depot for selling defective appliances. I make just a little over minimum wage and have no way to purchase a new range. This makes me so mad. I have had ranges that lasted over 20 years and now my range just sits there doing nothing!

My compressor failed while my family and I were out of town recently. We lost everything that was in the freezer section and also everything on the refrigerator side of the unit. The process of getting the compressor fixed through warranty services was extremely easy. It was fixed within a week. But, I had estimated to the LG customer service rep that I had lost between 250-300 dollars in meat and fish that I had in the freezer along with all of the contents of the refrigerator side. LG sent me a check for 150.00 which helped with the loss but did not replace everything that was lost from the compressor failure. So, I was displeased in the fact that I had to replace what was lost even though it was not my fault and LG should have replaced the contents completely. Richard

My boyfriend and I ordered a LG fridge online on June 25th for $1804.13. It was to be delivered on June 30th. My boyfriend left work to meet LG at our house. Two men took the fridge off the truck and out of the box and the back was damaged all smashed. My boyfriend told them we did not want that one and they took it back. LG never contacted us to when a new one would be delivered. I called them (on hold too long) and they told me they could not get another one here until July 11th. I couldnt believe it, I asked why so long and LG said that is the next date a truck could get to my location. I thought since it was their mistake maybe they should go a little out of their way for a customer, but no, there was nothing they could or would do. So 12 days without a fridge. We had to use a cooler just for water, milk and half for our coffee, buying ice constantly. We went out to eat a lot, which is really expensive. It was a nightmare! I called LG again and complained to a Manager/Supervisor and had to go through about an hour on the phone explaining the story over and over until I finally could get them to connect me with a supervisor and he was not very helpful but he finally said once the fridge was delivered LG would send me a check for $100.00 for my troubles, but I had to call back once the fridge was delivered. I asked why I had to wait and he stated that is their policy. I think they want you to forget about it once you get your new fridge. Well I didnt. I called back and asked for the same Supervisor, I did write down his name, Jerold. After being on hold again and explaining my story again to 2 different employees, I finally talk to Jerold and he said they will send me a check in the mail. Now it is Sept 6th and no check came in the mail.I called back LG asked to speak to Jerome, they couldnt get me Jerome, said they have a lot of Supervisors located all over and I would have to speak to whoever picked up my call. I was on hold for 20 minutes. A woman answered. I asked if she was a Supervisor, she said yes then she asked me for my phone # and put me back on hold for 5 min. She came back on the phone and said she didnt see my order. I then told her the whole situation and said maybe she should have asked me what the issue was before she put me on hold so quickly. She told me that there was no Jerome that worked there. I said it was the same # that I previously called, twice. Then I told her that the order was under my boyfriends phone # and I have the order # and the model # and sku #. She wasnt really listening, but looked up my boyfriends # and asked for the model # and said she saw no order for us.I couldnt believe it. The new fridge is in our kitchen that they delivered. I yelled at her, I just couldnt get over the way they treat customers. So I went on the computer and had a live chat on their website. The woman on the computer found the order under my boyfriends phone #. Maybe they should find a better way to keep track of orders (maybe by the order #) but she said that she had spoke to the woman, Supervisor, that I just got off the phone with and there is nothing they could do for me. Then said that they do not have a Jerome that works there and they do not give back any type of reimbursement or refund for bad service or unhappy customers. It is not their policy. I guess it not their policy to keep customers happy. It was their fault I went without a fridge for as long as I did. It was their fault I had to spend a lot more than I should have on food for two weeks, after giving them One Thousand Eight Hundred dollars.I think LG Supervisors do it on purpose, tell you to call back once the fridge is delivered, wait for a check in the mail, all tactics to make you give up. Well I didnt give up and it got me nowhere. LG also tried to say it was a Home Depot issue. Well Home Depot connected me to them, and why did a Supervisor from LG, Jerome, say he would send a check in the mail. I called Home Depot and they said they wouldnt do that, they would have reimbursed some of our payment. I have never been this angry but we spent a lot of money and hassle over this, and it is not over $100.00. It is about the way I was treated.

Purchased a very expensive LG washing machine. The leak had been ongoing for a couple of years and was caused by a very cheap neoprene gasket (20p to replace) behind the soap draw, this in turn leaked onto the main PCB at the bottom front left of the machine causing this board to fail with a loud bang. The reason why I am not going to buy an LG appliance again is two fold. Very well made appliance (mostly) yet a small cheap component failed after just 2 years which then lead to a major component failure with no real noticeable warning. Replacement parts are as expensive as a new cheaper machine. Customer services is diabolical I had to email the UK CEO just to get customer services to call me back and yes of course the problem was denied (despite many other cases on the internet) as a known fault. Conclusion buy 3 cheaper machines for the price of 1 LG......... SIMPLES. This is known by LG customer services yet they choose to deny its a known problem.

Updated 09/04/2020: Every single review here on this website, there is a response from LG promising to look into the problem, its been two weeks since I sent them my information that they asked for and have heard nothing. Since then Ive had my electric range repaired. On my credit card statement they charged me $135 just for the diagnostic and $150.50 for the replacement of a Rotary Switch. It took the repair technician 45 minutes to take my stove apart and test each component. He couldnt determine what was wrong with the stove at this point. Then he went to the visitor parking lot where his truck was parked and brought in the box of parts, why didnt he bring them in when he came in, (the clock is ticking at $65 for 15 minutes)? He opened the box and took out a rotary switch, thats the plug on the knob that turns your stove on and off. He replaced it and that was what the problem was, problem solved. The time that it took him replacing the very first part that he tested without taking the range apart was like two minutes. He should have done that to begin with. Summary: it took the Technician 50 minutes to take the whole stove apart and test everything without a diagnosis and less than 5 minutes to replace the first part that he tested without having to take the whole stove apart. I was charged an additional $150.50 for that on top of the $135 for the diagnostic fee. I disputed this charge with a supervisor after calling them and havent heard anything since 8/27/20 for their review of my complaint.Original review: I purchased the $1,100 electric range 2 years ago. I use it three, four times a month maximum and already after 2 years the front right burner doesnt work. I called customer service to inquire about it and they informed me the warranty had expired after a year. I said I was very disappointed after having a stove for only 2 years that already I need to have a burner replaced. I was told that the supervisor could review the matter and that I would hear back 3 to 5 days. I heard back after about eight days with a denial and that I have to pay for the repair. Im stunned that I paid $1,100 for the stove and already and it needs to be repaired???

I purchased these 2 items less than 5 months ago. The fridge stopped making ice, and the range is not working at all. I called LG and they sent a tech to fix it. He ordered a part, replaced it, and still the same, now they canceled todays appt, for no reason, and apparently tomorrow another tech will come to check again, then they will keep changing parts and guessing what it is. I told Customer Service that I have been like these for 2 wks already, with nowhere to cook, and I needed these to be fix ASAP. I told them to please change my new range for another one. Mine has become refurbish since they keep replacing parts, its not original no more. But LG continues to allegate, that they cannot do anything but just wait for the tech to see what it is. They say they cannot change my equipment for a new one, it can ONLY be repaired. I hope any issues like this will be covered under the Manufacturers Warranty, but I can see this is not true. At the end the Consumer can not even respond in the proper way and solve anything. What a shame. I am very disappointed, and for sure WILL NOT BUY OR RECOMMEND THIS BRAND TO ANYBODY.

The front left element of my induction range has stopped heating. The indicator light turns on, but the pot never heats up. It also doesnt recognize when a pot is NOT on the element like the other elements do. I tried unplugging the unit and plugging it back in but it didnt work. This range is over $2000 and has been in use for less than a year. Unfortunately, I purchased it barely over a year ago - a couple months before moving into my new house - which means that that warranty has just barely expired last month. We purchased an LG front loader washing machine, LG dryer and LG refrigerator in 2006. The dryer needed repair service once; the washing machine had several issues including nasty smell, weird spots on clothes and needed lots of repair, and the refrigerator has stopped working twice. We had purchased the appliances through Best Buy and were able to cover some of those repairs under the extended warranty. All the appliances are long out of warranty now. Last year, we found that there was an internal leak in the washing machine causing the rear left housing to rust completely through which resulted in a flooded laundry area every time the machine was running. Now the freezer/refrigerator stopped working (again). I have not yet contacted LG as I dont expect them to actually do anything about these issues. The dryer is still running as far as I know. In all fairness, we have used the washer extensively but based on my experience with other brands, I would not buy any LG appliances again. They were expensive, turned out to be substandard, and have costly repairs.

I bought my LG cabinet model French Door with see through cooler and it was delivered December 10, 2018. Since owning, the compressor has been replaced, the computer board replaced and now it is totally dead as there are bad circuits in the electrical housing based on a LG repairman’s assessment. The unit is now in the garage and I had to purchase another new unit. I bought this unit from Best Buy but with the warranty from the manufacturer I did not buy their product insurance policy.I lost three refrigerator full groceries due to malfunctions on three different occasions. The company sent out repair folks, and parts took as long as two to four weeks to appear. We were storing food in purchased coolers and finally bought a small freezer whilst waiting for help or replacement products from LG. It might get fixed and work for three months then would go out of whack. I’d call LG. Repair person would show within a week. This guy would order a part (compressor or board). Wait two more weeks. Fixed but back it would be within a few months and break again. But the latest episode was a matter of days before it went down again. I need to get action and do not know who to call. This product died after one and a half years.

I bought an LG washer and dryer from Best Buy with extended warranties. The washing machine still works perfectly. The dryer however, is a piece of crap; after not even two years the steam function ceased to work. I contacted the extended warranty company which sent out an appliance repair service based locally in Avon Connecticut. Upon looking at the dryer the repairman told me it wouldnt be worth the money to fix it and just to use it without the steam function. It would be too costly to them to repair. I cant tell you how disappointed we are after having a whole household of LG products 10 in total cleaning the kitchen and laundry room. I dont blame any of this on Best Buy, however I do blame it on LG for not having a network to effectively repair what they sell. After repeated attempts to contact LG for almost 6 months we finally gave up. Do not recommend LG washer and dryer.

LG Top Load WT517OHV washing machine is very stylish. It has a window on top so you can see into the machine. What we dont like: it smells very musty between loads. You cant wash rugs that have a rubber backing. You cant wash water-proof or water-resistant items such as jackets. The machine doesnt fill with water for a full load. Weve tried all the settings. Every time we wash a load, we have to set the egg timer to come back after 10 minutes to shut the machine down. We then reset it to fool it into filling the drum entirely with water. How do you wash a full load of very dirty clothes with the tub filled with water half way or less?Yes we called LG several times for help. Our opinion: Buy basic washing machines w/o water saving sensors. Save your money because you only need standard settings to wash your clothes effectively. Wash only full loads to save water. Weve had this washer and an LG dryer DLEX5170/71 for two years w/o mechanical problems.

I purchased an over the range LG microwave from Home Depot. It was a reduced price display model, which I guess should have told me that it was a waste of money. Within a year, it stopped working four times (two of these times were within two days of each other). Since it was covered by the one year warranty, it didnt cost me anything, but it was frustrating to be without a microwave while waiting for it to be serviced. THEN... after the warranty expired, it stopped heating on two more occasions. Now, LG state that it would be $160 to have a technician come out to diagnose the problem.I think a microwave that needs servicing six times in such a short period should have been replaced, but LG thinks I should just start paying the $160 per call out for the same, reoccurring problem. I spoke to a supervisor at headquarters who was very unhelpful and told me that the company should not have helped me as much as they did because it was a display model and its history was unknown. She was very combative and arrogant and probably doesnt even realize that she lacks even basic customer services skills and is in need of training. My only consolation is that she is a consumer too, and the same way she treated me, she will be treated at some point in her life. Further, I know now not to purchase another LG product. Hopefully I can save someone else from wasting their money on LG products like I did.

The machine takes a little getting used to but not difficult. Our clothes come out beautiful.

My two year and 10 month old LG French door refrigerator quit working last
My two year and 10 month old LG French door refrigerator quit working last Saturday, Aug. 10. I called LG Monday morning, and they referred me to their repair service, a company called ANE. After I called them, they finally sent out a repairman yesterday (Thursday), and he told me I had a bad circuit board and possibly a compressor. The parts would have to be ordered, and I probably would not have the unit working for another two weeks. The bill will be about $500. When I asked him how I was supposed to live without refrigeration for that long, he replied, Go rent one. That is indescribably bad customer service. To add insult to injury, it is quite apparent neither LG nor ANE could care less. LG Customer Service is an oxymoron. Please stay away from this company and Samsung as well (they also use ANE) until they establish a better service provider.

Purchased an LG Dishwasher Model LDF7551ST in July 2012 (serial number 205KWMK0D259). Purchased at Home Depot, that also installed it. After about 2 years the machine stopped working, with a OE error, e.g. it would not drain. The technician came and found a pumpkin seed in the drainage pump. Fixed it. After few months it did it again. LG repair service came again and replaced the drainage pump.A month later we noticed that the hardwood floor got swollen and higher. We checked the dishwasher and we noticed that water was leaking from the pump below the dishwasher. He found that a rubber hose was split where it goes in front of sump pump. He was unable to fix the dishwasher since the hardwood floor was swollen and was blocking the dishwasher. Eventually they replaced the sump pump assembly. They paid the damage to the hardwood floor. Now it does it again. It is an infinite loop. They would not do anything else. Bad product, bad company. Beware!

I own LG dishwasher LDF8072st. Purchased 8/13. 3 weeks ago, I recd an error code which determines a leak. I spoke with LG customer service who authorized repair under extended warranty. 2 different companies have been here a total of 5 times. The machine is still not fixed after installing a new door panel. Today the tech. informed me that they ordered a new pump to be installed November 11. I will be 5 weeks without a dishwasher. I have taken 4 days off from work to be here with a repair tech, and one Saturday. LG refuses to replace the product and gives me a different answer every time I call. They just apologize for my inconvenience.

I am the owner of a 2 year old LG French door refrigerator that failed over
I am the owner of a 2 year old LG French door refrigerator that failed over Thanksgiving. Being it was the holidays, I took to dealing with the matter immediately by contacting LGs customer service department. In the initial conversation, we determined that the issue was likely the compressor, which if true, would be covered under warranty. Learning that an authorized technician was needed to service the appliance I was then given a phone number to a local service dealer in the Scottsdale area. This company did not return my call but, I was able to get through the week after Thanksgiving. They told me that they had only one technician on staff authorized and he was out of town for 3 weeks. This was not acceptable being the holidays and the fact that we had a full house.Through my own inquiry, I found one repair service willing to work on LG appliances... most would not because they have a pretty bad reputation it appears. The only issue, was that we needed to have him authorized. This I was able to begin through a chat with a member of the LG customer service department, however, the authorization was never put forward I was to discover. This required another online chat, some apologies and eventually a successful authorization for my serviceman. Now able to open the back of the appliance, indeed it was discovered to be an issue with leaking coolant and a faulty part (parts). Now began the test of getting the parts (under warranty) ordered and delivered to my repairman. The part was ordered and we waited. I requested that someone contact me to let me know when it would arrive. This was wishful thinking. I opened another chat to see where the part was and the LG agent could not find any information and asked for a PON number which I did not have. He said perhaps the part was on back order. To shorten a very long litany of my technician and myself spending hours of precious time getting the runaround with (excuse me) a very incompetent customer service system; my repairman was told after many conversations with the parts dept., that 30 day deadline was expired and we have to start all over again. So another chat last week resulted in a request for authorization again and I was told a rush request would be made for second authorization. I was also again promised that the agent would keep me posted. Yea right. Having no fridge for the holidays with a houseful of family is frustrating in and of itself and 2K plus fridge should not fail in just two years; add a complete run-around by the folks we trusted with hard earned money with their brand over many other choices on the market, to simply supply a part and authorize and repair completely beside myself. All I need is a warrantied part, a second authorization (since time expired because of LG inefficiency), an LG customer service person who will see the process through and an attempt by LG to stand by its motto; life is good. I believe all agree that those requests are reasonable. To date I have had 6 chats average 40 minutes each, three long phone calls, a long wait for the supervisor but disconnected after 20 minutes, 4 letter submissions and a technician about to give up because of time lost from numerous calls to the parts department and total frustration. The fridge failed 11-24-16 and todays date is 1-13-17 and zero success. If anyone knows of a way I can pressure these people for one or two damned parts; (that my service guy could have fixed it in one hour two months ago) please let me know.

I have a 2-year-old LG Dryer. Not long after I bought it, it started catching clothing articles on the dryer filter at the front of the door. My clothes are getting ruined. The dryer will twist all the clothes together and the piece of clothing that gets caught, will stretch out or rip. I have already replaced a filter that cost $30, thinking it was a defective filter (not warranted). I know LG is aware of the problem, because when I called the manufacturer, the salesman admitted that people were having that problem. I want a refund. I will have to buy a new dryer. By the way, one of the bars inside the drum fell off. Now, I will have to call a repair man, stay at home all day to wait for him to come look at it, order a part and then when it comes in, I will have to stay home all day to wait for him to come back and fix it. I am so sick of spending my energy on this dryer.

I bought an LG large capacity washer and dryer 6 years ago. I paid over $1600 for the pair at Home Depot. There are only 3 in my family so I dont have a lot of laundry like some larger families do. Just recently, my washer had a smell like something was on fire and making a banging noise. I called the LG repair service and a rep came out to take a look. He told me that the bearings were wearing out on the tub and to fix it, they would have to change the whole tub for about $450. Seriously! They just dont make products like they used to. I will never buy an LG product again.

My 5 year old refrigerator suddenly stopped working. A technician came out the next day and determined the compressor had failed. I was shocked because compressors typically can last over 20 years. After doing some research I come to find out that this is a widespread problem with LG and possibly some other brands that use this Linear type compressor. LG knows about the problem, and continues selling this product. To make matters worse, they are or have been installing the same type compressor as a replacement which will likely fail again in a short time.LG - listen this is no picnic when you lose hundreds of dollars of food. I spent over $3,000 for what I was led to believe to be a top quality refrigerator. Though the compressor is under warranty, LG said the labor is not because its 5 years and a few weeks, are you kidding? I am not pleased to have to shell out $550 in labor on top of the cost of the lost food. If this is how you treat your customers, you can rest assure LG will not be my appliance brand of choice.

We have experienced all of the same problems (Ie; hundreds of dollars in lost food, 4 days total off of work, multiple phone calls, living out of coolers, waiting weeks for an A&E repair person). All without prevail. We DID have an appointment this morning to finally have the compressor put in, however the repairman ordered it a couple of weeks ago and the wrong model number was delivered to us. He said he would have to re-order the correct one and the soonest he can come back is in 2 weeks 7/25/19. The whole experience has been exhausting and miserable for my family of 7! It is mind blowing that LG would continue to sell these refrigerators. I personally thought I was in this hell alone. Ive posted on this site regarding my Maytag stackable washer and dryer. Now Im posting regarding my BRAND NEW LG stackable washer and dryer. After much researching online regarding stackable washers and dryers, I finally went with the LG brand. My Maytag washer went dysfunctional after 6 months. For the following 8 months, I had Maytag repair guys at my home, every two weeks, to fix the same exact problem. I had an error code that flashed on the machine. It was THE same code each and every time. Every part that was replaceable on the machine had been replaced, yet the problem continued. Maytag customer service is HORRIBLE.Now LG. The washer, when pumping water into the machine, caused a loud thumping in my walls. The vibration of the washer caused a rubbing and squelching noise from the dryer stacked on top. The company is well aware of the dryer problem and told me, There is nothing we can do about it. They are selling a machine they KNOW has a problem. The washer problem was an electrical problem, also not fixable. And when a certified LG technician comes to your home and tells you in all honesty that he has nothing good to say about his company, then THIS IS A MAJOR problem. The machines are 2 DAYS OLD AND DO NOT WORK. Customer service is HORRENDOUS. I literally spent an entire day talking with customer service. It was only when I was speaking with the 8TH representative that a repair appointment was finally made. One representative actually asked me this, Can you describe the noise? Can you better describe the noise? Can you give different words to describe the noise? Who knew there were so many ways to ask the same exact question repeatedly? I also had to repeat answers to other questions as well.Needless to say, the machines will be returned and I am on the hunt for a different brand. The problem is, when you go to research the variety of brands, all of them have complaints. And what I have noticed is that for the majority of brands, their machines become dysfunctional at the two year mark. This is pretty shabby, considering you are spending close to $1000 or more per machine. I just dont have thousands of dollars every year to spend on appliances because the companies out there, cant seem to make durable products anymore. My parents have Kenmore appliances. Theyve had the same appliances for YEARS and no problems. What happened to decent machines? And what the heck happened to great customer service?? If there was a 10 star option for the worst service and machines imaginable, I would choose that.

If I could I would have NO STAR - We’ve had nothing but bad luck with our LG appliances- first of all our dishwasher -the control panel went haywire 5 months after we got it- well that happened 2 more times since. When we built our home we also bought an LG gas range, refrigerator and microwave. So last year we went to Alaska and when we came home in August the stove control panel also had gone haywire. You cannot properly read the numbers that tell you the temperature/time so when you set the temperature you have no idea what youre setting it to. Called LG and after hours on the phone with them to get it repaired they did NOTHING. Our cost to find out by the repairman (we paid for) that to fix it we would spend more than what a new oven would cost. It is barely over a year old and possibly failed prior to being a year old! 2 days ago we woke up to our LG French door refrigerator inside as warm as our room temperature and everything inside ruined. It is just barely 2 years old! Called LG for repairs- ended up having to get our own repair guy, and it has a bad compressor, won’t read codes, and needs a new control board. The repairman said it’s an extensive repair and could possibly fail again easily (read class action law suit on them). Called LG back and now we have to wait to hear from Service Power to see if anyone can fix it. They offered NOTHING for the loss of food but would send us up to $200 for a mini fridge- and he’d send us an email for doing so- still waiting for that. These appliances cost thousands of dollars! Buyer Beware!!! They are junk!

Just purchased an LG Model LFX31925ST French Door refrigerator 12/4/14. Connected the unit on 12/6, set freezer temp to recommended -4 and lo and behold, the freezer wouldnt freeze. Decreased the temp to -6 and it still wouldnt freeze. Frozen food transferred from the old Amana unit, which was freezing quite nicely by the way, all thawed and had to be transferred to the even older 23 year-old Whirlpool unit we keep in the garage! Called LG service on 12/7, they conducted the (Not-so) Smart Diagnostics and said that the unit was functioning properly, NOT! Completed reset of the system, was told to wait 4-6 hours and call back. Well, we waited seven hours and if anything, the freezer got warmer! Technician is due to arrive 12/9 to repair the unit. Is this how all LG refrigerator units behave? Think well go back to the tried and true Whirlpool appliances. At least we know they actually work. At this point, Lifes Not-so Good!

We bought this stove 4 years ago and installed it in a new home build. The first cheap plastic knob broke within the first year. We are now down to ONE working knob. I have attempted to repair and strengthen the original knobs multiple times (something LG should have done in the first place). My question is how can a company manufacture such a great product and then put absolute garbage on the most used part of the stove. My real problem is the ridiculous price for the replacement. Is there a realistic option for this? I do not mind spending the money for QUALITY items, but to overpay for the same, substandard item is not feasible. The real sadness is that I will never buy another LG product again because of a $2 knob for a stove that is now costing $30+ and even sadder is the fact LG put such a piece of garbage on their appliances in the first place.

LG Washer WT1201CW - This machine is a piece of crap! We purchased this machine from Home Depot back on 1/5/2014. It is constantly out of balance. And it does NOT have anything to do with the load size. I have put in queen size sheets that will take up to 2 1/2 hrs to wash! Again, not overloaded, since I was told when I purchased it that it could handle a King Size comforter. And I select the bed/bulky cycle. And lets not discuss doing a load of towels. And my whites are no longer white! How can this machine be Energy Star when my old washer from 15 yrs ago washed the same load in less than an hr. I hate this machine. My girlfriend bought the same machine & returned it within 10 days because of its poor performance. The only reason I still have it is because it cost me an arm & a leg to purchase & I cannot afford to replace my appliances every 5 yrs. It also says that it is a TrueBalance. Right! I just put in a 1/2 load of whites at 7:40. It is now 9:45 with another 15 minutes to go, according to the display. But that is all dependent as to whether I need to shuffle my half load around again to TrueBalance it out again. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE! It is a piece of crap! I will never buy another LG appliance! I was told to use only 3 tablespoons of HE detergent, I was only using 1 tablespoon and still could not get the soap out of our clothes. I was taking our towels outdoors and hanging them from our clothesline and hosing them off until they were freer of suds. Finally, I called a repairman and was informed to use only 1 to 1/2 teaspoon of soap, but I still have to use a lot of water to get our laundry somewhat soap free. Our water usage has gone up over a 1,000 gallons a month.Things went along for a while, until I started noticing small shards of a foreign material stuck in our towels or in our pockets. I was baffled as to where these little hard pieces were coming from, and about that time, the washer was starting to make a strange noise during the spin cycle. I called the repairman again and we discovered that the drum was rubbing against the fiberglass liner. Those small shards in our laundry were coming from the washer tearing itself apart.I agreed that this particular washer was to be replaced. I wanted my money back minus the months of usage, but was told that was not an option. Finally, in the later part of November 2011, 6 months after our initial purchase, we received a replacement machine from LG. All was fine for a while, until the bleach dispenser stopped emptying completely. So, I called the repairman again and we received a new dispenser. Well, that one did not work any better and another repairman determined that there was a problem with the control panel and the washer drum needed to be replaced, because it was not in balance. It has been less than one year since we made our original washing machine purchase and it has been one problem after another. The fact that this type of machine does not properly rinse laundry and requires a lot of extra water to do so, is irritating. I always have to stay alert because the machine goes out of balance a lot and I have to leave the wet laundry and try to get the machine going again. In my opinion, this machine is poorly designed and will never work properly. Life is not good at LG, and well never purchase another one of their products.

My LG has been very reliable for 9 years. I love having the freezer at the bottom with the double refrigerator doors at the top. The ONLY design feature I don’t like at all is the temp controlled drawer that goes across the full width of the refrigerator. In order to use that drawer you have to open both doors. Would much prefer 2 smaller drawers accessible individually from each side.

I have an LG smooth top self cleaning convection oven range. It is just one year old. After self cleaning the oven last night, the inside of the door, and window have a black film on them. This does not wipe off. I called LG, and they sent me cleaning instructions and told me to use oven cleaner! If this doesnt work, I will have to replace the door, but its not covered because it is one year old! I also purchased the extended coverage at Home Depot, BIG MISTAKE! Oh, thats not covered, only functionality items! I said, well, the self cleaning didnt function properly, and burned my oven door! They replied, oh, but the oven still works!!! Are you KIDDING me? Does anyone have any idea how to get this black film off of my oven door and window???

Purchased our first big purchase for our kitchen remodel. All LG products. Stainless steel. Big upgrade for us. The dishwasher had 2 minor problems that we were able to fix. Our refrigerator (model LFX28978ST/0) although has had 3 of the shelves in the door cracked, a rolling wheel on the Vegetable bin broke, the clear cover on the butter dish broke and the ice tray cracked. All within 3 year of purchase. LG suggests we purchase the entire ice maker $180 just for a $10 ice tray, the vegetable bin is no longer available. The other parts I was able to purchase at $150. After contacting LG I understand they dont even sell replacement parts. You have to go through a parts business. I will never purchase another LG product again and I will make sure all my friends, family and all my contacts on Facebook know about the terrible customer service and shoddy craftsmanship LG has.

Updated on 01/03/2020: This is an update to my review from 12/26/2019. LG responded asking for my model # phone number etc and they would get in touch with me. They did, and told me the repairs would be covered. Great, I thought. Unfortunately the LG certified repair tech verified the parts are still not available to repair my fridge and they do not make the parts so there is no way he can repair my fridge. I have now been without a fridge for over a month without LG standing behind their 10 year compressor warranty. I have now spoken with over 8 different people in 3 different departments and nobody in LG customer service knows how to proceed.Original Review: The compressor went out on my LG French door refrigerator. LG sent a tech to fix it, and the tech stated LG no longer makes the parts for my unit even though the compressor is still under the 10 year warranty. I have spent 3 weeks without a fridge and about 6 phone calls with LG and they are not standing behind their compressor warranty. Im not sure how JD power rated LG so high with their know issues of failing compressors.

Our refrigerator starting beeping every 30 seconds. We checked all the troubleshooting suggestions from leveling, moving around the food, buying thermostats, to making sure the doors were closed. We figured out the beeping was the freezer section. We called LG who immediately said the sensor was bad and that the part was covered but the labor will not be. It seems that this is a known problem. Im just wondering why, if its a known defect... why isnt it covered. I havent had the refrigerator for 7 years yet so it should be covered. Right?!?! We corrected the problem by taping down the switch that turns on the light in the freezer section. Last night, 4:32 am, the other section started beeping. It beeps for every 30 seconds for about 20 minutes and then stops for a few hours. Id rather not be able to see in my refrigerator than spend hundreds for repair. The temps are fine. Just, buyer beware.

I purchased a top of the line LG Dryer from Lowes. Full retail is close to $1,000.00; yet this is one of the worst dryers I have ever owned. For starters the lint filter is horribly designed as it leaks massive amount of lint into the innards of the machine. Eventually I was able to install soft foam weather strip into the groove of the machine and get the lint leak stopped, but the fact of the matter is its very poor at drying clothes. The only setting that will actually get the clothes dry is timed drying. All the other settings are worthless as they shut the machine down before the clothes are actually dry. The reality is this machine is barely an automatic clothes dryer. Its just a timed dryer with an assortment of settings that are essentially useless. My 52 year old Maytag which was still working when I replaced it with this LG was a better machine. It had a better filter, and actually dried the clothes with a cool-down end cycle. I dont know what washers or dryers to buy, but the only thing good about LG is how they look on the showroom floor. Their actual mechanical design and performance is horrible.

Purchased the LG French Door refrigerator Model LFXS29626 on 3/21/16. So far, the freezer/icemaker seal has been replaced, the icemaker has been replaced and the motherboard has been replaced. The original issue was the door to the icemaker was leaking and every time you opened the left door, water would pour out of the door. OK, that is fixed early July 2016, then the circuits went bonkers and water started pouring out of the water dispenser... Thank goodness we were home or our home would have flooded. OK, thats fixed the end of July 2016. Then on 8/4/16 the original problem happens again... Water coming out of the door and the ice seal not sealing. I call LG for the 4th time and they are pretty much, sorry about your issues but no, we will not replace your unit... I call Home Depot and they are being kind enough to discuss replacing it. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A LG PRODUCT AGAIN!!! Do NOT purchase this crappy product!!!

The washer/dryer are quite stylish, work well. The washer is very versatile and can clean small or large loads. There are a myriad of cycles, many I do not use. There are only two adults in the household. The dryer works well and does not over dry the clothes. My only complaint is that the washer takes way too long on the normal cycle. Thus I use the quick cycle on most loads.

Our direct drive, load self-balancing, year and a half old machine has been exhibiting all the unbalanced load problems frequently mentioned in reviews that I found after my wife told me that she keeps getting EU code indicating an unbalanced load which she redistributes by hand, followed by standing over the machine and holding it as steady as possible in order to finish the loads. When I tried to change the spin speed to low, the machine spun as fast as ever. After reading the other reviewers experience with LGs customer relations I intend to go out tomorrow and buy a non-LG washing machine and try to support any class action lawsuits that are inevitable (I hope). Maybe after their exploding cell phone problems are over, they will take care of their appliance customers. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, it seems as if LG didnt do their due diligence when it comes to product testing prior to bringing to market.

We purchased this refrigerator in May 2015. Ice maker has always been marginal, but this last week after we got home from a few days away, we found the refrigerator and freezer not working. No error codes, so we tried a power reset. Still no cooling or freezing. We called the appliance repair from the store we purchased from and their technician came out and verified the compressor had failed. He said their shop would contact LG about getting a repair estimate. We had purchased a 5 year warranty, but were 15 months out of coverage. Started to investigate if this was a common problem and lo and behold, we find there was a class action suit against LG for defective linear compressors. Our model was in the affected date range, however the settlement only covered 5 years after purchase for parts and labor. We are now waiting for a repair estimate. LG compressors are not reliable. Do your own research. These fridges are advertised as saving money, but when you spend over $2000 for a piece of junk that only lasted 6 years, do the math. They are not cheaper to own. We went shopping for a replacement and told the sales lady our experience with LG refrigerators and she commented that several of her customers had conveyed the same story about failed LG compressors. It is probably going to make more sense to just purchase a new refrigerator, given the cost of repair labor. Rest assured, it will not be LG or any other LG product in the future. LG is not Life is Good. It is Lucky Goldstar. Our luck ran out.

My LG bottom freezer refrigerator was 4 months old when it started to emit a chemical odor that permeated the foods and made them inedible. It smelled similar to the smell that it had when it was new that the manual said would disappear a few days after running it and it did go away. I called LG, and they sent a repairman, who opened the door, said he could smell nothing and that was it. Over 2 months, I called LG and I got the run-around until finally they said they will do nothing. I replaced the fresh air filter at 6 months to see if that would help, and it knocked the odor back for a few days, but then the odor just came back. Now, I have a brand new refrigerator sitting in my kitchen that is totally useless. Do not buy this refrigerator.

Weve had this LG refrigerator for the best part of 5 years and it is still going strong. There is minor rusting at the bottom part but that is probably our fault. The freezer also started to form ice which we do not like one bit but we consider it a minor thing. It has not broken down so were kind of happy with that. The light indicator became an issue back then as it was not working as it should have, but we made a minor tweak in the wiring so that its back up running good again. I wouldnt say we are particularly careful with our appliances but this fridge has managed to make it through up to this day which is very much fine. It looks like we did not make a mistake in choosing an LG product. I expect it to last another decade or so, which is how it should be with stuff like this. If it does, I will write an update on this review ten years from now and will give a 5-star rating.

My refrigerator is 4 months old. Recently we came home to a strong acetone smell in the house and noticed that appliance was not cooling. Called LG for warranty repair and they set up a service visit for 2 days later. I called the service company 3 times that day to confirm, left messages without hearing back. Missed one day of work. Called LG that same Friday and was told to a service company would come out the next Monday (3 more days with no fridge). They arrived Monday and determined that there was a Freon leak in one of the coils. They ordered parts. I then called LG and requested that they replace the 4-month old appliance and they refused. They said that the repair service would have to label the unit unrepairable. The parts then arrived on Wed. I called the service company and they came out in Thursday to complete the repair (3 days of missing work). After the repair in Friday, (9 days without fridge) the acetone smell continued for several hours. The freezer never really kicked in. I am now attempting to set up another service call. I have a top loading Waveforce model. Im one of the few lucky owners in that my machine has worked - sort of - without the recurring problems of broken parts, leakage, and poor customer service mentioned above. That said, the problem with this dog is that its supposed to weigh the clothes and dispense a volume of water based on that weight. Unfortunately it ALWAYS grossly underestimates the amount of water needed with the result that much of the load sits above the water line (exposed to the air) for the duration of the wash cycle and doesnt get cleaned very well. This holds true for any size load, from light to heavy. The only setting Ive found that dispenses enough water to adequately wash any size load is Bulky Bedding, which dispenses quite a bit of water regardless of the size of the load. The problem is, if you only need to wash a few items and you want them to actually get washed, you still have to use this setting with the result being that you end up with much more water than you need to get the job done. This will be the last high tech appliance of any kind I will buy from any company, especially LG, because all of these companies massively overcharge for bells and whistles that never work as advertised. Same principle holds true for the LG dryer. It (and my previous Bosch dryer) claims to have a sensor that detects moisture IN THE DRUM, which in turn controls when the dryer turns off. Problem is, it almost always underestimates the amount of moisture IN THE CLOTHING ITSELF with the result that the load doesnt always dry properly. From here on out every appliance I purchase will be basic, low tech appliances that do a better job for a fraction of the cost of the bells and whistles versions.

My thought process was spend a good amount of cash get a good name brand, and it would last me at least 10+ years. Not the case!! We purchased our front load LG washer in 2012. It worked fine up until about 6 months ago. It would stop about 10 times through a wash cycle. It would take about 3 hours per load! Ridiculous!!! Of course we tried contacting LG to no avail! Contacted LG service, tech came out found nothing. Took pictures of the finished wash with soap stains sent them to LG, another tech arrived and tried to solve the problem. No luck. Called again. Still no satisfaction. Finally after fourth tech I had a tech make a suggestion that seems to work. LG engineers in their infinite wisdom of trying to make a washing machine that is water efficient failed. The machine senses how much water based upon the weight of the items in the tub which basically doesnt wash squat. So by having the machine first wet the clothes and restarting the cycle the load is now heavier and the machine increases the amount of water in the tub to accommodate the heavier load. Now you have enough water to actually wash clothes! Seems a stupid way to get a machine to work, but it appears to solve the problem. Basically LG engineers need to learn how to actually test their product before sucking the consumer into buying junk!

Last year we had an issue with the LG refrigerator. The compressor went out. Then one year later, the compressor went out again. They needed to fix it with the corrected part rather than brushing it off and putting the same part back in of a different model. The first tech that came out was terrible. So my husband called and talked to a supervisor. Then the next person that came out was the same guy who came the year before and he knew exactly what the issue was. So after going round and round with LG, they did fix it. That took two weeks and I was not satisfied with that timeframe at all. I was also told that it would probably happen again. So excited to renovate kitchen. Never had LG appliance but heard great things so invested in ALL LG appliances: French door fridge, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. Fridge: Linear compressor went out at 9 months. 20 phone calls and runaround before I could get LG to agree to service. Now, 6 months later, FF and E code seemingly freezer fan motor is defective. LG service tells me to unplug it for 8 hours and let it defrost all over My hardwood floors and “just put down towels.” And... If that doesn’t work, you need a new motor. BTW: The fridge to the floor is about 1/2 inch so no room for a towel.Gas’s range: Buyer beware. The knobs to light the stove will ignite if you lean on them and then slight turn. People with small kids are taking the knobs off. That is how easy it is to ignite the stove. Just last night my guest almost caught her sleeve on fire from leaning on a knob when talking to another friend. This stove needs recalled. I have tried but fell to deaf ears. Someone is going to be seriously burned, just a matter of time.Stove: Front started rusting 3 months after I got it. Of course they claimed user error. At that time only had used it about 10 times. Inside looked liked it had never been used. Got some of it off but still can see it. Washer: If you don’t clean the rubber gasket EVERY time you use the washer, water will run out the front. So far, knock on wood, love the dishwasher, microwave and dryer.Have had many defective things before and the difference is the service; standing behind products, great customer service, no hassle. That’s what keeps my business. I understand not everything is perfect, but take care of it and you will keep my business. LG FAILS in ALL OF THE ABOVE. Try to get ahold of them and when you finally do, it turns into us vs. them. Sooo disappointed and sick to my stomach knowing I now have another fail code on my fridge to deal with. I’m going back to Samsung. Much better quality and service.

My model is an LG top loading washing machine WT4870C. I bought this brand based on a recommendation from Consumer Reports. I like the many options such as water temperature, spin speed, and the quietness of the machine when its working. This machine also has sounds for things such as when the load is finished, and when the drum is unbalanced. Since my washer/dryer space is limited, size is the first consideration. Brand reputation is the second consideration. It can be a hassle to get a repair person at a time that is convenient. If the washer was noisy, that could be a deal breaker. This machine does well when washing heavy loads as well as light loads. Sometimes the estimated time shown on the washer isnt close enough to the actual washing time, so if you are in a hurry, wash later.

So I bought an LG Top Loading Washing Machine, Model # WT1101CW in June of 2014. After about 6 weeks the washing machine started getting uneven loads, on small batches, normal-sized batches, even just a table cloth and placemats. This now happens about 60% of the loads, if not more often. It fills with TONS of WATER multiple times in an attempt to balance an already balanced load (I take several minutes now to load the washer to make sure its perfect) and has skyrocketed our water bill. We bought our French door refrigerator around December of 2018 when we purchased our new house. We have loved our unit until one day both of the coils for the fridge and freezer part went out. I placed a repair order in August of 2020. LG outsourced the repair work to a local repair shop which was fine. Here it is 10/25/2020 and we are still without a refrigerator. I have contacted LG and the repair company numerous times and nothing is being done about it. LG has basically washed their hands of the whole situation and put it on the backs of the repair company. I got tired of waiting for the refrigerator to be repaired because we have a large family (family of 8); I called LG back once more and requested LG to replace or refund the money from the initial purchase. Since then we are going on 2 weeks and I have still yet to hear from LG as to what the decision is on replacing it or refunding the money. We was happy with the unit while it was working but since then it has been a complete nightmare and I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT AGAIN IN MY LIFE because of this incident. I hope my review helps clear the air up for anyone thinking about making a purchase of a LG product.

A few months after that, it wouldnt turn on. It has constant mold problem. I ran with bleach, I wipe between rubber molding inside where mold is with bleach, run vinegar cycle clean. Find mold on cups and mold grew all over wood handle item. Some rust on inside sides, 2 hour run time. Power button is way too sensitive, starts on own as bumping against it starts it. Also the tines on bottom rack are so close that front part bottom rack is unusable and top rack doesnt hold glasses well, had several glasses break. Bad design all around, bottom rack is very low to floor. I would never buy an LG dishwasher.

Updated on 05/19/2019: April 29 was my first review. TOMORROW will DAY 35 without our LG refrigerator. No tech licensed at first with dealing with LG then they offered an in store credit but sent file to Assurance and they sent a tech. Had to wait on parts. LG would not RUSH them. Finally parts in. Had to make appt. Replacing compressor, main PC and therm. $1,100.00. I paid $1,500.00 for fridge. Thursday after approximately 4 hours with service repairman it is finally fixed. Today the fridge is WARM Inside. ITS BROKEN ALREADY. ALL I WANTED WAS A NEW FRIDGE. ITS DAY 35 TOMORROW!!!! PEOPLE should get to see all of the review replies I have done with LG. Not just the first one. I have 8 pages of notes of phone calls on this fridge. How many weeks is a acceptable to wait. I just wanted an in store credit....Updated on 05/02/2019: April 30 posted complaint with lack of service on my refrigerator. April 30 LG quickly responded asking for my telephone number. May 1 I responded. THEN nobody phones. This is now day 18 and no fridge. Please give me an in store credit and perhaps a FREE 4 year extended warranty to make things right. I offered a repairman’s name to you but no you didnt have a contract with him. Yet you did not have any licensed tech for a compressor.Original Review: We are now at day 14 without a fridge. LG doesnt care. Days went by before they said they didnt have e a licensed tech for compressor. More days went by before given an approval number for in store credit then, I was told Assurance Solution Insurance co would take file now. They then decide there is a repair man to diagnose it. Fridge stinks and still waiting to hear what is to be done. Totally UNACCEPTABLE. Should have been looked after within 2 to 3 days. Its a fridge not a microwave.

I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased the LG refrigerator my big mistake. We purchased the French door refrigerator on 12/2012. Didnt expect it to last only 4 yrs. Like other reviewers the compressors and motherboards have been replaced not even two months ago and already failing. We were lied to and given the runaround about getting the parts. Living out of an ice chest for 4 wks and replenishing the ice didnt come cheap. They really need some overhaul in the customer service dept as they must go to liars training. Now I see what a piece of junk LG is. I wish somebody would get a class action lawsuit against them. We were supposed to get an email receipt. Still waiting. Never again would I purchase LG.

Purchased LG clothes washer, from Home Depot. Washer performance was terrible since Day 1. Washed clothes was dirty, smelly, machine noisy, and expensive. American manufacturer may have been better, than Korean man.

Bought an LG fridge from the box store. First one delivered had damage on the door. Delivery driver called and a replacement arrived within 2 weeks. Started having problems and called LG, after 3 LG repairman deemed it unrepairable, LG suddenly claimed it was damaged during shipping! My next step is litigation! DO NOT BUY LG, THEY DONT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY!

I chose the LG refrigerator because of the price and it had the most quality for my money. I love a bargain and cant pass up a good deal. This fridge has everything I want in a refrigerator. It works amazing. I love the color, it fits well with my kitchen. Weve had it for years and never had any problems with it. I love the ice making feature and it just has a slick design. I have absolutely no complaints about it. Theres nothing that I dislike about refrigerator. I would like to try to a digital one someday though. It would be cool if you guys had more digital options for fridges. The world is becoming computerized and theres no reason that a fridge cant follow suit.

We went with a larger cubic footage from the builders model. LG purchased through Costco, so you are backed by the best, if there is a problem. Great freezer space and interior flexibility of shelves in the refrigerator section. Extra storage area for frequently used items, milk, water, condiments is a great add on.

I paid approximately $400 in flat fees for LG to fix my broken dishwasher (2 visits by their representatives STEIN Appliances starting November 2014). Neither of their solutions worked, the dishwasher will still not operate properly and they have yet to refund my money. Instead, they provided me with a credit towards a new one of approx. $450. This in effect will cost me, when you account for the new machine, delivery, installation, taxes approx $1135. I advised them I would accept their offer IF they returned the approx. $400 I paid for repairs the failed to make. In spite of 2 emails, I have not received a response (approx. 20 businessdays).

Our washer and dryer are labeled Kenmore but are actually made by LG, they both function perfectly, wash and dry great, no problems in the 3 years we have had them, look nice also. Cycles are pre programmed for a variety of types of materials and are customizable within types. The washer has a cleaning process which is a bit inconvenient but just requires a little time to accomplish, overall we like the machines and would buy again.

We purchased all new LG appliances for our home. The dishwasher stopped working after 7 months. We called their support number and the people there do not know what they are doing. We have waited 2 weeks and no one has called, so I called them again. They still have not found a service company that will respond to our service call. They will not escalate the issue or give out phone numbers to reach someone higher up. I will not buy another LG product again and do not recommend purchasing one.
