DO NOT BUY LG products! French door refrigerator #LFXC24726S PURCHASED 7/2015. Purchased protection Policy in 7/2017. 2 weeks later credited back monies without any explanation. When we called they stated could not find repairman in our area. 8/2017- Refrigerator not getting cold. Replaced board & fans (2) cost $500.00 for repair & 3 weeks without ref. 9/2017 again not getting cold. Told leak in Freon. Major repair. I have to junk refrigerator as reading other complaints continued repair & parts they send you break down months later. This is a disgrace & we are victim to them without any recourse. Reading there are tons complaints but nothing gets done. Our hands tied.

I purchased my LG refrigerator in February 2017. (Note: it is not yet 3 years old.) I absolutely love the refrigerators features: The 3 drawers in the bottom freezer, the ice/water dispenser and maker in the door, the large, wide door shelves, the separate crisper drawer. (BTW, I still love their design.) The problems with this refrigerator began 2 years after purchasing it. Since then, this less-than-3-year-old refrigerator has completely stopped cooling 3 separate times. We have replaced all the parts in the entire cooling system: the compressor, the evaporator, the filter dryer, and a service valve. It has cost us many hundreds of dollars in labor costs, parts, and food loss. It just broke on us for the last time. We are chucking this lemon and buying a new Not-LG refrigerator. If you look online, you will see a class action suit against LG due to their cooling system issues. LG has known that the design of their refrigerator cooling system is faulty, and they have continued to sell them without addressing their design problems. Once the first year of use is behind you, you must pay for these repairs. In my opinion, LG does not deserve your business. More importantly, you DO NOT WANT an LG! No one wants this much malfunction and trouble.

This is strictly a review. I purchased this washer (LG Washer WT110CW) as to the high standard that Consumer Reports gave it. I hate it. Your standard wash cycle is 57 minutes. There is a load for bulky, whites, etc. but some have a cycle up to 113 minutes. They do have a quick load of 35 minutes, but thats the least. Then it spins to the point of almost drying and your clothes by then are so wrinkled, that the dryer will not take them out and now I have to iron these items. It was over $600 with tax, so I just cant go buy another one. Way too much computerized options that take forever. I want my Kenmore back that gave me very little problems and a load was done in 30 minutes (no matter what it was).

Our two month old LG Microwave Oven Model LCS1112ST bit the dust yesterday and I immediately contacted LG Customer Support. After jumping through all the hoops sending them a receipt, proof of damage, etc., I was expecting my $ back since it had a one year warranty. I received an e-mail saying in order to process my claim, I had to buy another LG microwave before they would consider any refund. Completely unsatisfied with this nonsense, I called and spoke to a gentleman that passed me on to supposedly the supervisor. She said that we were to send a letter explaining why we bought a GE microwave instead of an LG microwave along with additional documentation. Why would I buy another LG product? LG does not stand behind their warranty! DO NOT buy any LG product! They simply want your $ and they do not care about customer satisfaction!!!

I also have purchased the LG range (Ltg30357st). I have had the knobs replaced twice (this will be the third time). I have spoken to customer service and they asked, Did you leave the broiler door open? I said no. The knobs are not melted. They are all cracked and I cannot turn off the stove. Jeremy at customer service got all my info and placed me on hold so he could speak to his supervisor. I have been on hold now for 24.33 minutes and when he returned, finally I have new knobs being sent at no charge. Sometimes killing them with kindness goes along way. Thank you LG.

I purchased a dishwasher, which broke down within a year. Luckily, it was still under warranty and I reached out to LG for a repair. Were now entering the 5th week of me waiting for a repair or replacement and there isnt an end in sight. In fact, LG is actually starting the process over. Customer service hasnt been helpful, their Executive Office has sent me in circles, and I feel like its probably going to be quicker to purchase a new dishwasher - definitely not an LG. I really dont have anything nice to say about LGs appliance division or the people Ive interacted with throughout this ordeal.

Many LG Models with the Linear Compressor have failed and settlement to a Class-Action Lawsuit has been reached. But, any compensation will pale to the hassle and cost of your refrigerator failure. Here is my experience: 11/17/20 - My LG refrigerator stopped cooling. It is 3 years old and still under warranty. 11/19/20 - contacted LG and requested service under the warranty. LG contacted a service company and set an appointment for Monday 11/23/20. 11/20/20 - The service company called to inform that the service technician would not come until Tuesday - 11/24/20. 11/24/20 - Tech failed to come within prescribed time, and no courtesy call from the service company. I called the service company and was told they will try to find out where the tech is and call me back with info. By 8:00p that night, no call was returned. Called service co and left message to call me back. 11/25/20 - No call from service co by 1030 am, so called LG again to request service. LG re-contacted same Service provider, and stated that I would get a call to set up appointment that night. LG made Complaint #: ** 11/25 at 2:00pm - Still no call from provider. Called provider again and was told tech would arrive between 5:00p to 8:00p.11/25 at 6:00pm - Service provider called to inform that tech was cancelling again. They could reschedule for another time after Thanksgiving. Told service provider that I will recontact LG, as the service provider was not reliable and confidence to have the company on home site was gone. 11/27/20 - Contacted LG to request service from another provider. Was told it will take an additional 3-5 days to send my request to Field Services before I can get another schedule. Informed that this run-around has gone on too long - Thanksgiving food (hundreds of $$$) are spoiling. Requested LG to replace refrigerator now. LG stated that would not do so until they get a Technician out to look at it - yet as of now that isnt even on the schedule. As of now I own a $5000 bread box.

Extremely unhappy is a understatement! Started rusting after a couple of years surrounding the bleach dispenser and now at just 5 years old it is continuing to rust around the entire washer to the soap dispenser. Ive never seen anything like this happen ever in any washer Ive previously owned. Not every cycle washes correctly! I would call it a manufacturers defect but LG does not see it that way! After this experience I will never purchase another LG product again!

We purchased LG front loading machine 10 years ago. For these 10 years we had 6 repaired done which cost us close to additional $1000. Today was going to be the 7 repair, however we found out that LG stopped offering parts for our model (parts discontinued). When I called LG customer service, instead of them offering solution, I was asked if I need a service to come and take the washer to a junkyard... I was very excited and purchased all brand new LG appliances in late 2016 after purchasing a new home. The dishwasher has 3 racks and after 4 months the top brackets are supposed to be adjustable and do not stay upright. They are supposed to clip into brackets and have come apart. In addition, there are 6 spots on the upper and lower rack that have been burned and are completely falling apart. This was a very high end dishwasher and will not buy another LG. My brand new stainless French door refrigerator with 2 freezer drawers is also a disappointment. The side areas have broken apart and I have taped them together. Very poor design as it only holds very few items that are tall like milk gallons.

My LG French Door refrigerator was just under 2 years old when it stopped cooling. Bought it on 9/15/2015, and it died on 9/10/2017. Called LG to find a certified repair person, and not a one would provide service to me as I was outside their service area. This was despite only being 30 minutes away from a Home Depot from whom I bought it. I went round and round with LG on how to service this refrigerator and their lack of repair service. The closest certified LG repair shop would not repair LG compressors! Really!! LG gave me the OK to use a local repairman, they diagnosed it as the compressor, which it was, but would not touch it. Another local repairman told me no one wants to service these refrigerators. Finally found an LG repairman farther away than 4 others who would not service it, and he charged me $750 labor (due to mileage of 70 miles) to come out and fix the compressor which was under warranty. He told me that this compressors are cheap foreign made units and do not expect them to last more than 7-10 years. He said the LG refrigerators are poorly made, but pretty on the outside. Dont buy an LG refrigerator due to this well known problem, and the fact that LG certified service is not available even though they are sold nearby. Go with Kenmore (Sears) and other USA serviced products who at least will service their products.

We upgraded to LG appliances 7 years ago. The Linear Compressor just stopped working. LG will provide a replacement Linear Compressor but will not cover the $600 cost for labor or the $350 for the refrigerated food spoilage. The LG refrigerator was a good price - I believe I got the refrigetator on sale actually. I also had ice and water in the door and that is a feature I must have in my model of refrigerator. I do not like when the filter is at the bottom of the door on the refrigerator. Its too hard to get down there. I like the filter by the ice machine.

LG customer service was like talking to a wall. I also bought a washer: a full tub without an agitator and water saver. LG REFRIGERATOR AND ICE MAKER has been one of the worst experiences of my 63 years. It looks nice but try getting anything fixed or working period. After having a repair man out to troubleshoot the problem the LG company refused my repairman any help or input at all as he was not an LG licensed repairman. We live in Montana and the closest LG place was 3 hours away. That LG company repairman said if we would hall it to Bozeman they would look at it. My repairman has an excellent reputation and works on every other brand and an Appliance Repair Business. He now refuses work on anything LG as he has had NO luck getting any assistance from LG or their repairmen. Nor have I, as an LG Customer. Two weeks after replacing the ice maker, which never worked again, the refrigerator went completely out. Dont buy the LG High Capacity expensive washer. It doesnt clean your clothes, musty/wet dog smell. It doesnt fill with enough water to wash a hand towel. It calls for less soap, but sometimes the soap doesnt dispense all. Every load gets the UE code, uneven load and you have to open and shuffle clothes so wash time is over an hour and half. Was told by friends to pour vinegar in every load, or add bleach every time you wash, leave the lid open or mold grows in it!So I had LG rep visit and here is what I was told. Do not fill to line as specified, only 2 tablespoons of detergent, no more. You cannot wash a load too large, only a medium, fill clothes only half way. You CANNOT wash large towels, blankets or comforters in these washers. You have to add white vinegar. Leave the top open always or mold will grow. Every month you need to press tub clean and add special cleaning tablets. So basically, this efficient washer saves on water and detergent, but you have to spend your money on vinegar, cleaning tablets and dry cleaner for bulky items. Then he added this kicker: Blame the government because they have high restrictions on making washers more efficient for environment, they have to make them work bad. Apparently, the European LG washer is awesome, no restrictions. Go back to Sears, buy a Kenmore with an agitator and have clean clothes.

I was hesitant on purchasing another LG Range because 6 years ago I filed a lawsuit against them for advertising their specific electric range as a true convection with sabbath mode when in fact it was not. We won the lawsuit due to LG falsely advertising their product. This leads up to yesterday when I decided to give them a try again. Figuring they learned their lesson, I purchased their LRE3194BS. They (LG) claims on their website as well as on every website that sells this range (Best Buy is where I purchased) that it is in fact a True convection (3rd heating element behind the fan). After it was delivered yesterday I opened up the owners manual and it stating it is NOT a true convection. When I called LG customer service to find out exactly what was going on and to ask what the difference was with their True Convection & their new Pro Bake Convection, the representatives could not tell me the difference. They then connected me to the corporate USA office in Alabama where a representative answered the phone. I explained not only my concern but also brought up the lawsuit 6 yrs prior and she stated this unit was NOT true convection. I asked about their webpage and the info they provide to retailers and she simply stated she has no idea who is responsible for putting correct and valid info online. I said this is just like years ago and youre falsely advertising your ranges again. She then Hung Up on me. Hopefully another attorney will pick up a new case against them.

We have an LG refrigerator that is 2 years old. The ice maker stopped working in early April 2020. The compressor & fridge cooling ability stopped on 4/24. We have received nothing but the runaround. 1 certified repair place did a COVID diagnosis by phone & confirmed that it was the compressor, but said they would not come out until I had approval codes directly from LG. Jumped thru lots of good including uploading receipts to prove purchase date, amount paid, etc. Waited 12 days for the only repair service for warranty work & the guy showed up in my home with my elderly Mother & my Grandson with no mask or gloves for COVID precautions & did diagnosis only to confirm what our approval codes said. But, he doesnt travel with parts. Ordered them expedited to ship to our house & he said to call 800# if they came in early as first open appointment was another 11 days away. They came the next day, but when I called they said I had earliest time already. 2 days before the appointment, I got a text notifying me that I had a new appointment on 6/3 instead of 5/16. Avoid A&E (Sears). They have no help. Supervisors have been supposedly expedited to try a return at Best Buy, but thats been 2+ weeks. Do not Buy or Settle for a replacement LG product. They should be out of business. Selling & repairing known & continuing Compressor issues. Join the class action suit.

Bought LG French door fridge for $3275.00. Compressor went out in less than three years. Floor damaged and food lost, as we were not home that weekend. Called LG, they said try to find someone to work on it. Had two different repairman out, neither would work on it since its due to the compressor. Something about closed systems. Sears repair said they dont work with warranties and Best Buy said they didnt have a qualified person to work on it. Went through the Holidays with without that fridge. Been on the phone many times with LG, only to be told theyll call me back, but have not. Its been over a month now. I dont know what to do, its still under warranty. I saved for a long time for that thing.

I have the LG refrigerator model LFXC24726S that is identified with the common premature failure of the compressor resulting in no cooling. I inherited this refrigerator when I bought the house 2 years ago, so I had no purchase receipt. The compressor failed recently and I called LG. They said the parts are covered under 10 years from date of purchase and labor 5 years from date of purchase. Since I didnt have the purchase receipt they went by the manufacture date of Sept. 2015. The unit failed and I called on 11/12/20. Just two months over the 5 years from manufacture date. They charged $125 on the phone for service call and another $250 for labor it took to replace the part(which was covered under warranty) to get their fail refrigerator up and running. The frustrating aspect to me is the logic that after large consumer appliance product is manufactured it doesnt get to the end user the next week. How many times do I see even on dry food products that the manufacture date is already at least month ago before it hits the supermarket shelves. I get the sense for large consumer appliances it would be more than 2 months from manufacture before it is purchased by end user. I know this refrigerator was purchased after Jan. 2016 because thats when the prior owners of my house had bought the house and remodel the kitchen, but obviously that could not help sway my case to waive the labor fee. My wife and I love the refrigerator, especially how the ice maker is small and on the door and it doesnt take up an entire corner of top shelf corner and also retains some small shelves on the dispenser door unlike Samsung unit we had in our prior home where we lost top corner shelve space and lost the smaller shelves on the inside of the dispenser door. Unfortunately, we are not going to go with LG for our next refrigerator. It is just too unreliable and I have to pay a few hundred dollars out of pocket for their failed product. Not to mention it took 6 days before a technician can come out.

At Thanksgiving our LG refrigerator and freezer stopped working. We bought it new a few years ago and loved its design and size. It was a lot of money for us but we splurged. We called the company we bought it from and they told us to call LG service direct. We could not get any response when calling LG so just decided to get a tech to look at it. Took him a week to get back to us because of the holidays. He told us the sealed freon system was broken and the compressor was toast and he could not do the repair. He charged us for the visit and left. He said it would cost a lot of money to fix - So we tried to contact another service company to fix it. The only one we could find to work on our fridge is a couple of hours away and we have to take the refrigerator to them. It is very heavy and taking it down a flight of stairs is pretty scary and we really dont want to transport it. We called LG again trying to get a service tech to come out to our home to fix it but cant get through to anyone. At this point we are probably going to buy another brand as we have been without a fridge for weeks. If LG wants our business please answer your phones!

We purchased our LG side-by-side refrigerator four years ago. From the start, we had problems with the ice maker auger freezing solid. We had the ice maker or some components of it replaced twice, under warranty, but not without several bumbled service visits - wrong parts, wrong initial diagnosis, etc. Now the freezer door seal has lost its suction. I see from todays research, this is not uncommon. We should have done more research, but we were desperate, since our old fridge had just died so we bought what was immediately available. Dont make the same mistake!

LG executive customer service was rude and relentless. They would not replace the defective stove stating it just needs to be fixed. For peace of mind and for your sake do not buy Lg products. LG Electric Range- LRE30453ST. After using the self-cleaning feature in the oven, I noticed the interior looked as if it had been chipped or scratched. I then found pieces of the enamel on the oven floor. I called LG to complain. They asked me to send them pictures of the oven. After emailing them the pictures, they came back, said that it was out of warranty and I did not purchase an extended warranty. Their conclusion was that the chipping was caused by owner neglect. I was fuming since I did not do anything to cause this. I only used the self-cleaner. I asked to speak to someone in a higher position and was told that they were the highest I could go. I preceded to inform them that I would not take that as an answer. I still have the pieces of enamel that came off. I told them that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau and anyone else I knew to report this and they told me, to go ahead.Im stuck with an appliance that I wonder whether it is safe or not. I have a 10-year old stove whose oven looks 100 times better than this one. Unfortunately, I purchased a LG refrigerator and dish washer to match. I have been dissatisfied with dishwasher since day one, a hard pill to swallow.

We purchased our LG top loading washing machine back in 2010 from Sears. Almost from the beginning, we were experiencing some very high speed spinning products. After numerous complaints that never amounted to anything, last year 2013 LG sent a notice about reprogramming their computer system in this machine. That changed all the settings, times, etc but did nothing to the UE message we were receiving on the machine which meant an uneven load. Two weeks ago, Nov. 6th, 2014, a new stator for the motor was shipped to us by LG to be installed free of charge by Sears and that did not fix the UE problem.Yesterday 11/25/14, the same Sears technician came to the house and told us we needed to change a sensor and the clutch assembly at a cost to us of $703.20. Today, 11/26/14, I contacted LG and they told me it was not their problem. And I told them I would get an attorney and they said go ahead. I will never purchases another LG product again because they do not stand by their product especially when they are wrong.

I had the identical problem to someone else on here. We bought the LG French Door Refrigerator from Home Depot and the little hinge on the top of the door broke off and the door was constantly staying open. We just lived with it because we had previously had a problem with a new LG washing machine and nobody in the area would service it! I was told by a serviceman that LG didnt pay them for warranty work and although I dont know if that is true or not. I do know that I couldnt find a serviceman to fix the washing machine, which we eventually disposed of, even though it was less than a year old. Anyway, we moved from that house and happily left the beautiful LG refrigerator with the broken door hinge and lo and behold, the new house that we bought, had the same refrigerator and shortly after moving, the hinge on one door broke on that one too. LG definitely seems to have a quality problem with their appliances and I wouldnt buy one again.

The circuit board failed, was replaced under warranty. March 2014 the same thing. Wont turn on, makes the on chimes but nothing lights up, the lid is locked with my wet laundry stuck inside. All my wifes nursing uniforms were in the machine, out of desperation was forced to pry the lid open to retrieve our laundry. Out of warranty and disgusted. We purchased our LG refrigerator 3 years ago and have had two problems with it. A year ago, the valve controlling the drinking water ceased working and it cost us over $200 for the repair from Freds Appliance in Madison, Ohio. A month ago, we noticed a mushroom type growth near the base of the refrigerator and discovered that the water line feeding the drinking water and icemaker had a slit in it and was spraying water on the floor. The flooring is ruined and the repairs, not including the fridge, exceed $1,300. Freds denies any responsibility with the problem even though they are the only ones that have moved the fridge since it was initially installed. In conclusion, the purchase of your product was a terrible mistake and we have difficulty understanding how a company can ignore problems like this.

Bought a LP1111WXR at Home Depot. Could not get the unit to work. Called LG and they arranged for a service call. At no time did the customer service rep at LG Corporate ask for or require documentation, they advised that with the serial number they had the information they needed. LG customer service arranged for the 3rd party technician to repair the A/C unit. The tech arrived and confirmed that 99% of the unit functioned properly, except the canister holding the coolant had left the overseas LG factory either a.) without being filled, or b.) with the canister seal improperly properly fit (all coolant leaked out), or c.) with a cracked or defective canister (all coolant leaked out). The technician was set to repair, and then asked for the authorization number I had been provided by LG customer service. The senior advisor at customer service had never provided an authorization number. I advised the tech that LG arranged for the service call. He checked his notes and confirmed that LG Corporate had in fact arranged for the service call....but, nonetheless, he still needed an authorization # (which I was not provided). When I called back LG they gave me the runaround for about 1-hour transferring calls, on hold, etc... The supervisors whom I spoke to where now nasty, and horrible. They advised that it was my fault for not having the authorization number, and would not help in anyway. I now know, firsthand why and how LG sells their electronics at such a great price. Their customer service is awful, misrepresents, and when their product is discovered to be defective, they will not fix it.Worst customer experience Ive ever had - dont buy LG. Ill never buy an LG product, regardless of the price. Never again.

Woke up to a non-functioning fridge/freezer on Saturday 07/11/20, tried going through all the steps I found to check it out before calling in to LGs customer service to report a non-functioning unit. I had to remove everything from the unit and find places to put it or throw away good food. My experience with LG customer service was great, they took my info and sent the info out to the 3rd party warranty service company. This is where it goes downhill.@ Your Service (3rd party company) sent me a text on 07/13/20 that they have scheduled me for 07/24/20!!!! I sent a text back that I need service sooner than that since my unit is down. I got a reply that they will contact me when an earlier appointment is available. Here it is 07/20/20 and I still have a broken fridge/freezer. I have had to go out and buy a new mini-fridge in the mean time. Why does LG allow this 3rd party service company to keep doing this? Look up their reviews and see just how bad their customer service is. I will update when @ Your Service finally shows up and hopefully fixes my expensive side by side refrigerator. I bought the unit during Black Friday 2017, it made it a little over 2.5 years. Model: LSXS26366D.ASBCNA0.

We paid top dollar (over $3000) for an LG Linear refrigerator in June, 2015. In March, 2018, it began making strange clicking noises so we got online and followed some tutorials about how to fix it. Nothing worked. We had a repairman come and he had to replace the control board and fan, at a cost to us of about $600. Now here we are in October, 2019 and it’s doing the exact same thing. We are looking at having to replace both exact same things, only this time it will cost $690. We could have bought a new refrigerator for what we’ve spent on repairs in the past four years. I will never buy another LG product. Maybe the company will see this and offer some compensation, but I doubt it. It’s infuriating!

LG Counter Microwave 1260SW/1260SB - After three years of use, not daily, there was burning smell coming out of the side vent and a grinding sound inside. I contacted LG and they said it sounded like the magnetron. LG said it sounded like the magnetron, which was covered under a 10-year warranty and then referred a local repair shop. We took it in. They charged us $50 for a diagnostic test and $46.02 for labor for the magnetron. Two days later, we brought it home and the situation was worse than when we took it in. Back to the repair shop we went and the shop called saying it was the fan motor. Well, they wanted another $50 for labor and parts. After refusing to pay any more labor costs, they fixed it. The only parts were for a stirrer motor and stirrer support and another $26. We got it home, plugged it in, and turned it on. Inside lit up like a neon light and it started sparking. Light was so bright and sparks so bad, my husband and I thought it was going to blow up. Back to the shop it went. They put a container of water inside, no sparks or excessive lighting happened, so they deemed it fixed. I refuse to use it. We paid almost as much in repair bills as we did in purchasing it. As much as I loved the horseshoe design inside the microwave, this was just too much hassle, expensive and time consuming to repair. I had also contacted two other small appliance places to see if we were being ripped off. Both told me they refuse to work on LG small appliances. They either couldnt get the parts or it took a week or more to get them in, inconveniencing their customers. No more LG appliances for us.

Bought an LG washer from Home Depot in Alamogordo, NM about 4 yrs ago. From the very first few uses we would occasionally notice small holes appearing in clothes and towels etc. Followed manual carefully about what cycle to spin clothes on, also followed cleaning procedure rigorously as my daughters LG developed the dreaded mold. I was assured that would not happen if I left the door open and cleaned the seal and ran tub clean cycle frequently. I did all that and still developed the mildew/mold stench that permeates our towels mostly. The small holes I finally figured out was caused by the spin cycle (even on low) forcing the thinner weight fabric through the drain holes in tub and catching the fabric on the unpolished back side of rough punched drain holes. I actually physically pulled a t-shirt off the side of the tub slowly and saw with my own eyes the fabrics pulling out of the holes leaving small tears in the shape of the drain hole pattern. Many clothing items were ruined before I started washing everything, even towels in laundry bags. I use cotton pillow covers to dont stink and wash towels in. The main computer panel started to go out immediately after the one year warranty was up. The washer now sits, but at least my clothes dont stink and I have no holes in my new clothes. Laundromats are not that bad after all. The crap that is being pawned off on the consumers is deplorable.

I purchased an LG top load washing machine and have been completely unsatisfied since the day I bought it. My clothes suddenly smell. I was told that is because on newer machines the drain is closer to the clothes, if that makes sense. The drain pump has broken twice. It is not a part that is in stock, so we often have to wait for the part to get it before the machine can be fixed. It also has the off balance problem that many have already mentioned. It is hard to get it balanced. Obviously, this washing machine has a defect with the drain. They should take responsibility and replace it, but are not willing. Our LG refrigerator (LFW31925SW) has stopped cooling/freezing. After reading the MANY reviews, I am very concerned. I do not want to put $500 - $1000 in repairs (even though it is still under warranty) just for it to happen again. It appears that there is a Class Action Lawsuit about this problem but my model is one of the excluded models - Also excluded are consumers who bought LG refrigerator models of which fewer than 1,000 units were sold “or for which the service rate for No-Cooling Events was less than 1% of sales,” the settlement says.. Is there a way to get this repaired without having to do a repair again in the near future?

I bought a slightly used LG Refrigerator model # LFXC24726S. Had it for 3 months, still under warranty. Lost all of its refrigerant, spoiled the food inside. LG would not warranty the fridge because I did not have the original receipt. Called for repair, unrepairable (internal leak). Ok I get it never buy something that you got a great deal on because if its too good to be true it is a piece of junk. After dealing with the LG customer service department in the Philippines for three weeks I finally gave up and went out and bought a North American made fridge. So pissed at myself and LG Canada for buying someone elses junk. Although I did learn something after researching LG appliances. Theyre all junk and they have you and your money when you purchase one. Ill take a used car salesman over a LG appliance salesman any day of the week. You suck Lg.

I bought my refrigerator 5 years ago to come home to leaking water and a warm refrigerator. I was on long holds with the LG department. They scanned the refrigerator telling me nothing is wrong, to just unplug it and call back. I called back. Was hung up on 3 times. Given repair companies that were not open not in my service area. I found someone to look at the refrigerator and was told it is a compressor issue. I paid over 3000 for a refrigerator that didnt last 3 years. Im very dissatisfied with this product and customer service. I will never buy another LG product. They know these refrigerators have this issue and they are doing nothing to fix it. Same type of compressor is being used to fix the problem which may occur again.

Received a replacement compressor, but it was the wrong part. Had to contact customer service to let them know on Aug 12th. They asked for a picture of the serial tag, which I sent that same day. They replied Aug 14th, saying they were checking with their parts dept. I contacted them Aug 16 asking for an update, and again on Aug 22, to which they replied that they would be happy to look into this for you.On Aug 27, I got a message saying that the part should arrive that day. The tech we hired came 2 days later to install. So... after 2 months of living out of a cooler, we had our refrigerator back. As I said in my original review, the refrigerator is perfect for us, I love it. Unfortunately, I wouldnt buy another LG product, ever. If they start giving them away for free, Id be in line, but, nope. Not spending any money on their products. I still stand by the one star rating.

Bought a black stainless LG fridge 2 years ago. So far, LG has had to come out to repair it 4 times. 3 times for the ice/water dispensers not shutting off, this last time for the compressor breaking. We lost hundreds of dollars in food. On top of that, my $2,000+ fridge has the black stainless coating peeling all over. These coatings are terrible. You will be disappointed. Stay away from LG and any stainless steel appliances that are coated or painted on, and not baked in to the stainless itself.

Purchased a new LG, LFX31925ST on 4/08/2014, delivered 4/28/2014; ongoing problems with ice maker. When we called, we had to push buttons on ice maker to reset. It would work for a short time, called back, we had to push buttons to reset. This was extremely difficult as we both have arthritis. Finally on May 2015, they did extend warranty as it was on-going. A new ice maker installed. Lasted approx 3 mos. Called back, offered to send repair but at our expense. $3200 for a new refrigerator for our new home. Ridiculous!!! There has to be a recall on this appliance. We will NEVER purchase LG again!!

The machine was part of a stacked set purchased from Sears in Toronto with extended warranty in late 2012. It was very reliable until 2019 when it was 6 years and 6 months old. It then developed a leak and need a new gasket which was provided by LG under their One Price service (about $280, I recall). Last month it developed a further leak. My wife read the manual and looked for possible causes. She cleaned out the soap dispenser - this resulted in a flood when we turned the machine on.We called LG - we were no longer eligible for their full price service. They despatched a local company, European Appliance Repair. They charged $300 Canadian plus tax (extra because they needed two men for a stacked unit). My wife told them the full story - an initial leak, and then a flood. They replaced a small part. The next day there was a small leak - we were unsure if there was residue from the flood, but immediately contacted LG. We said we would wait a few days to see if the leak persisted. It became evident that it would occur on the spin cycle whenever there was a full load. We rang up and made an appointment for June 22nd. The appointment was then postponed to the 23rd in a message received on June 16.On June 19 at close of business we got a message saying our appointment was cancelled or postponed. It was impossible to get clarification till the new week began. On June 21 at 9.00 we rang and were informed that someone would come that day, and that the cancellation message was an error. However, nobody could come that day, because European Appliance Repair did not recall they had to send two people out. An appointment was made for 3 to 5 on the 23rd, but the same two repairmen appeared at 8 p.m. They announced after 35 minutes that we would need a gasket. We would have to pay for the part and additional labour. They denied that we had told them that we had a leak before my wife cleaned the soap dispenser. We have no idea whether they did not hear what my wife had said or were telling an untruth. It was clear to us that they were in a hurry on both occasions, probably overworked because of the pandemic. We noted that a gasket had been replaced the previous year. Gaskets, we were told, could never be guaranteed because customers often put sharp objects in machines. We spoke to an LG rep. on the phone. He insisted that no further charge would be levied, and that, if we did not get satisfaction, LG would give us an allowance toward a new machine. Two days later we spoke to a woman at European Appliance Repair. They proposed to treat the repair as a separate problem and charge 250 labor plus tax plus the cost of the part (plus, of course, $620 Canadian we had paid for April, 2019 and May, 2020 leaks). They had clearly heard nothing from LG.After this we spoke with three LG reps. (we had difficulty communicating with the first two). The third person with whom we spoke said that a gasket would not normally tear because a few coins had gone through the machine (we do not keep sharp objects in our pockets). Furthermore, he agreed to escalate the issue and get back to us the next day. He warned that the replacement model that succeeded ours might not be stackable with the old dryer, should we decide on replacement by LG. We do not have room to house the units in another way.Naturally enough, nobody from LG did get back to us in 24 hours about our “escalated issue. Today we decided to buy a stackable set made by another manufacturer. We are surrendering a perfectly good dryer - but there appears to be no alternative. On the basis of this experience I would not advise anybody to buy an LG washer or dryer, unless you expect to replace your machine every six years, and to be particularly careful when selecting stackable units.

We did not have a lot of options based on the size opening we have in our kitchen and it was the one the best fit our wish list of features and style but that would not involve us having to uninstall cabinets in order to make space. I like side by side doors with the freezer on the bottom. The special compartments in the side door are also a good feature that I didnt know I needed but now wouldnt want to be without. The one thing that I would for sure change is the door alarm timing. I would want to keep it the same for the freezer but wish that we would have the option of making it a little longer for the refrigerator doors. Its not even enough time to grab all the ingredients we need or to put away a full load of groceries.

Bought LG washer and dryer just over 6 years ago. Had no problems till today when the dryer started to thump. I am a retired millwright-machinist and have repaired washers and dryers as part of my job for years in a large hospital. I took the dryer apart to discover the drum was cracked on the welded seam. My extended warranty ran out in March. Called the Warranty Department at LG and was told they never heard of such a thing and could not help me (I did tell them that there were hundreds of similar complaints on the internet). Called the local service company and was told a service call would be about $300 plus parts. They couldnt understand I already had it apart.I called another company and was told that I could buy a new drum for $133.58 but the drum was back east and it would take several weeks to have it shipped here, so I will weld the drum for now and order it at a later date. Not happy. The washer has performed O.K. but has a funky smell if you keep the door shut. We wash and dry about 4 loads per week so its not abused. Will not buy another LG.

I purchased an LG front load washer and dryer from Leons in Bancroft Ontario 5 years and 8 months ago. Shortly after we bought it, we noticed that our laundry was coming out with a sewage smell on it. We used the tub clean cycle as often as possible but it didnt really help. We also started to leave the door open which helped somewhat but the odor never really went away. On one occasion, I found that the machine had dumped suds on the floor. Last week I washed a load of towels and during the cycle, smoke started coming out of the drum area. I called Leons in Bancroft who referred me to a local service man as the machine was out of warranty. The service man said he would look a the machine but if it needed parts he couldnt help me as LG would not supply him with parts or tech support.I emailed LG who replied that they only supply parts to authorized service agencies. The one for my area was 60 kilometers away. LG stated that they would do a 1 time courtesy repair. I asked if they would also address the sewage stink issue as well. I was advised to add powdered detergent to the washer and cycle it to remove residue. I was also advised to mix up a solution of bleach and water and wipe down the gasket and dry it after each use! I also asked about what would happen the next time the machine started to smoke. I imagine that I would have to call the service agent who is 60 kilometers away and pay time and mileage as well as the service time. As far as I am concerned, where theres smoke theres fire and I dont trust this faulty machine to be in my house. It is now in my back yard and I purchased a top loading machine (not LG). I will not be buying any of their products in the future.

I was remodeling my kitchen and bought a brand new range and an over the range microwave, delivered 12/2018, installed in Feb 2019 due to kitchen not being ready. When started using it I noticed some white spots or discoloration on the stainless steel front of the range. As the range worked fine I did not immediately call CS to see if anything can be done about this issue. Then the microwave stop working so I called CS and told them about both appliances and they scheduled a time to come out for the MW but told me they would be get back with me about the range which they never did after a week. When the guys came out to look at the MW I showed them the spots and they tried cleaning them as well. They said Id have to call back in as nothing was scheduled for the range just the MW. They even confirmed that the front face of the range could be replaced a simple fix. I called the next Monday to ask about this again and the first guy told me from what he could see, from a photo I had sent in the first time, it was nothing that can be done about it. So I ask why he thought that from looking at a photo, he said he would get me over to a supervisor. After being on hold for 20 minutes a guy got on the phone and told me that if I would have called as soon as I noticed the spots that they could have replaced it based on a defect but since I waited that there was nothing they could do about it. He said it might be a chemical reaction but I told him Ive only used what was recommended for me to use. I asked them if they could replace the front piece and he said no that because I waited that there was nothing they could do about it. Yes I waited until the MW stop working before I called because the range was working fine. I know that if CS wanted to help and replace one piece that they could have but they punished me for waiting, its not as if I was asking for a brand new range. Ive already have had a few people ask me what LG did about taking care of the range and now I can let them know and everyone know that they chose not to do anything because I was busy and didnt call right away. I will never buy LG again!!!

Does not get enough water. Washes clothes by just getting clothes damp. No extra water in machine (LG Front Load washer). In town mode it will never finish the load and the towels spin forever till I turn it off and take out wet towels. In town mode it shakes and moves in spin mode. LG service guy came and had no idea what he was doing. We are in the mode of getting service people to come out and say yes it spins too much and yes the soap even though we use 3/4 of a teaspoon the soap is too much will not rinse out is cause we get no water in the tub. At most the clothes get damp and never get any pooling water. Really bad buy!!!

We purchased LFC25760SB Refrigerators in July 2007. It has been working just fine until recently. We noticed the lights were out on the Refrigerator section and when I removed the cover to see what size and shape they were, the light bulbs were very hot. LG LFX31925SW Refrigerator - We purchased the 31 Cu FT French Door LG refrigerator a year and a half ago. It is a wonderful refrigerator as far as capacity and how it functions on the inside. Not the most streamlined looking from the outside. And it hums all the time, not sure what part is doing that enough to wake me up at night. I recently pulled out the gliding drawer and to my dismay, the back wall of the refrigerator is cracked. Who would have thought the inside wall of the refrigerator would be compromised and cracked. Calling LG service center was a waste of time. Not only did they only quote the one year parts and labor (not sure on what) and the 7 yrs sealed system (whatever that covers?) and 10 years on the compressor (seems to hum every night). They read a script and have no other answers, always seems to be someone you cannot understand what they are saying and they can hardly speak English. When I mentioned I believed it was delivered in that condition, they said NO it was empty when delivered to imply I lied. Well no, the delivery folks set it up. I had to do nothing. So the repair company tells me to tape it, there is no way to repair it and no warranty. Really, no warranty on the structure of the unit. I call it cheap and wont buy another LG product ever. I feel blessed after reading the nightmares of other customers and with all their problems with defective parts and getting no results. My question is what has happened to products in America. There is no quality left.

I only wish I read these reviews before purchasing my LG products in November 2010. I have had several problems with the seal on my washer leaking water. After several attempts of replacing the seal, I finally had the door replaced. Just yesterday, I found a crack in the drum of the dryer. I bought the gas range (LRG3061) back in November and since then I have had nothing but issues. The oven flame is over firing and the inside of the oven becomes black after use. It takes me hours to clean and it returns again after using the oven a few times. When I try to use the burners it makes the bottom of my pans black which is terrible. Each time I call LG they set me up with an appointment for a technician to come but no one ever shows up in the actual appointment date. This issue has been going on for a few months now and LGs ability to fix the problem has been disgraceful. It is a health hazard and I have spent a lot of money on this gas range and whenever I cook it turns the food black. To this date Im still waiting for a technician to come to fix the issue.

Weve had this washer for about 2 years now and it is a terrible machine (the model is WM2050CW). When I wash shirts (4 or 5), I get soap stains on the shirts. The shirts have developed little pills (I do small loads at a time). If we dont keep the door open at all times we get a smell from the washer. It uses such little water I cant see how clothes could possibly be clean. We bought this at a Sears Outlet store. The washer and dryer were returned by a customer and we know now why. These were issues with the washer right from the start, but its just getting worse (and more and more frustrating). I wish wed bought a cheap top load washer. It takes forever to do a load of laundry and while it uses less water, it takes twice as much electricity. I thought it only fair to alert you to our dissatisfaction before we start to share with others. We had only heard good things about LG, but we will never buy another LG product, and we will urge anyone that will listen not to either.
