We bought the above LG washer new at Best Buy on 3/16/14 along with an extended warranty. It wasnt delivered until 3/29/14. We ran it for ~2 weeks when on 4/13/14 it began spraying water all over our floor from the bottom right of the machine. I immediately called Best Buy about a return. Their policy is only 15 days. They count that 15 days from the date of purchase, not delivery. (Let that be a warning). So we only had the washer in our house and running for a few days before the return period ended. They would not honor a return and told us we had to go through LG. From there it got much, much worse. Have some patience to read the rest of this and you will get the true feel for LGs Customer Service. Pray you never have a problem. You can see in the attached transcripts that the repairman that came out basically saw a non-fixable problem and tried to the LG to condemn the unit. LG wouldnt do it as they saw it as repairable. Our repairman said all other companies he deals with would take the repairmans recommendation and replace the unit. He warned us that LG is different and that they would fight tooth and nail to not have to exchange the unit. Afterwards, I contacted LG customer service on the phone and was placed on infinite hold two times. I finally resorted to the chat room option. Read the transcript to get their idea of customer service. We had been without a washer for 2 weeks at that point and LG did absolutely nothing to help. No replacement, no loaner, no stipend towards a Laundromat, coupon, or even an apology. What we got was we have 30 days to fix it per our warranty and it sounds inconvenient for you. There was zero attempt at trying to appease us as customers. The 2nd round of parts came in, and sure enough as our repairman said, they didnt solve the problem. It was now 4/29 and we are livid to still be without a working washer after spending over $800. He provided them copies of our receipts and LG stated they would start processing an RA (return authorization review). We were told we would hear from LG in a day or so. A few days went by, I tried calling LG again. No response. Emailed. No response. Finally, managed to get hold of a Customer service manager. They told me they had 3 days to process an RA. I told her it had now been over a week. She didnt know what to say. She also stated they didnt have copies of our receipts. They did, but I resent them again. Now go to the next email string.Today, my wife called again. LG said they didnt process anything because they didnt have the receipts. I had to provide them a THIRD TIME. We were then told it will take 3 working days or more to process the return through Best Buy and about another week to 10 working days before they will arrange for a replacement unit. That does not count time for delivery. They still dont care and wont help in any way. So we are looking at being without a washer for about 1-1/2 months or more. We are still scrambling to get laundry done. I will be looking to get the photos taken by our repairman showing the gap in the machine and post them once received.Consequences? My wife has been traveling 20 miles each way to her mothers house ~2-3 times per week to do laundry. A few times she has gone to a local neighbors house. I have had to leave work early and take personal time to travel 30 miles (45 minutes) on 3 occasions so far to deal with the service calls. Hours spent on the phone and the Internet trying to reach resolution. Inconvenience. Frustration. Strained relationships with relatives. A mess on our floor that I had to clean up. About 1-1/2 months without a washer after spending $800 on what was sold to me as a supposed functional unit.

It was on sale and I had the extra money at the time and I have to take advantage of the sale at the time so I went ahead and bought it. Sleek general design and finish to give me the feeling of middle class home and in that case reminds me to do a little better so I can get the smart fridge again. It even suggested things for me and was just all around wonderful. I really do miss having the ultimate control not just a fridge.

I purchase the LG High-Efficiency washer and Electric dryer in 2011. For the past several years the bleach dispenser has become increasingly rusted, and now it is to the point where the clothes washed when the bleach dispenser is used are coming out with rust stains. I thought it might help if I left the washer top open after each wash to allow it to dry out, but this has not helped, and the top is becoming so rusted it will soon be unusable. The dryer no longer completes a full cycle on most of the settings - it will begin and then shut down within a few minutes. I am very disappointed in this product and will not purchase another LG set again.

I purchased a complete kitchen full of LG stainless steel appliances to update my kitchen. There is no way you can keep the stainless on any of these appliances, mostly the refrigerator looking good. Hand smudges and any water drips on exterior surface of stainless are impossible to get off. I have tried every brand of stainless steel appliance cleaner on the market. It is a full time daily ritual cleaning, wiping, rubbing, and polishing the stainless surfaces of these appliances and still I cant get some water drip marks off, and I have no children. I know theyre not smudge proof but I should be able to clean them up to look like something. And I thought I was updating!

I bought a LG refrigerator in 2012. I bought an extended warranty which carries me into 2017. I am so glad I actually bought the warranty because I am having a nightmare of a time with this crappy fridge. It started with ice build up at bottom of freezer then it stopped cooling and freezing. I called HHGregg whom I bought it from and they send a company to repair it. It took three weeks to get a part. Spoiled food and borrowing a small fridge to keep from spoiling more food. It has been two months and it is going through the same problem again. Do not buy this brand of appliances. Read the negativity about it and how bad LG is with its products and customer care. Im surprised no consumer organization has gotten involved to investigate this company.

Bought this dishwasher a couple years ago. Always had a funny odor, like a plastic smell. About a week ago the dishwasher started making a really ugly noise and then shot up with an error code LE. The repair person arrived today, inspected and found a blown motor and AC board. Several hundred dollars just for parts, which are not available so a lot of people must be having problems. Avoid this dishwasher. Not worth the money.

Put food in microwave, pressed the EZ ON BUTTON which will heat food for 30 seconds. The microwave started for about 1 second and then immediately just died. After about a minute it powered on was asking for the clock setting. It acted like it does when the power goes out. This microwave did this one time yesterday also. I entered and set the clock time and then input 1 minute time and, almost as soon as I pressed the start button, the microwave died again only this time it did not revive. It appears to be completely dead and is only about 16 months old (purchased October 2014). This is the first LG appliance I have ever owned and likely will be the last. I paid good money for this appliance and wish I hadnt thrown out the old one. It was rusted some inside but had been working for almost 20 years!! This stainless microwave model number(s) listed on instruction booklet: LCRT2010ST, LSRM2010ST. So very disappointed. Made in China. Maybe thats why.

No response at all even 4 days after submitting complaint about product problem. They gave me case number of **. I found a problem of condensation, top left side of the front panel on my new 5 month old LG refrigerator to contact a LG customer representative to get case number. I submitted photos showing the problem with model number. They asked me serial number but I could not find any near area where I found model number. I asked them where was the serial number but they did not respond either. They do not have any respect at all to their customer. I will not recommend this company to anyone. I bought many home appliances when I moved into my house. One company which I called about a strange issue on my oven made a schedule of tech people visit to my home right on the phone. This LG customer support people are ignoring and so slow.

We bought a LG refrigerator and since the time we received it the ice maker has not worked correctly. We called LG and they would tell us what to do over the phone. It would work for a few days and break again. This happened 3 times. Then the ice maker broke completely. We called them to come out and they said it would be in a week. When the week rolled around they called and said they had no one that could come and fix it, and would call when they had someone. After waiting for a week I called them to see what was going on and they said they had no one that could come and fix it but they would schedule it for 2 weeks from today. No guarantee they would be able to come out. I asked to talk to a supervisor. After explaining the situation to her the supervisor told me she didnt care if it was fixed or not, the appointment that was scheduled or not. This ice maker has never worked and we have to run to the store everyday to buy ice since it very hot out. I cannot call another tech out because they said it will void our warranty so the supervisor said take it or leave it, I dont care what you do.

We bought our LG Fridge from Home Depot in 2011. Its a French door-freezer on the bottom style. Our entire unit stopped cooling less than 48 hrs ago and we only have a small college dorm type fridge for our back up. Needless to say, we are losing a lot of food. Very unhappy. We live in rural Iowa, so getting a repairman out here may take several days. Not sure yet if were covered or if well have to pay out of pocket for this.

Purchased LG Smooth Top Model LRE30463T January 2010. Since purchase clicking sound when baking and using smooth top at same time. Had service repair done under warranty and reset oven control temp. This continued and in December the large top burner stopped completely. Contacted LG and was told it was not covered under their 5 year warranty unless it was a burned out element but even at that we were responsible for service call and labor. Contacted a service rep and was checked and told it was the main board. LG website was down so he contacted us today to inform us that total cost would be almost $500.00. We paid over $1000 for this stove in 2010. 3 years of problems and nothing we can do but junk it, buy a new stove or continue to use with 3 burners. LG is junk. Value is worthless. Never again. Will go back to Whirlpool.

The electric stove is a double oven LG. It is dangerous. When you are cooking or lean over it turns the knobs on the front way too easily. Just a little pressure and the burner is on. Our family has had this happen all the time and we always check to make sure it’s not on. We also purchased their microwave at the same time. That caught fire inside. I purchased an LG French Door Refrig in Sep 2013 from HD at a hefty cost of $3,046, including 5 yr warranty. The fridge worked fine until 5 months after the extended warranty ran out. The units refrigerator and freezer areas stop cooling. I called LG service center and they diagnosed a failed compressor. They referred me to 5 authorized reps within 50 miles of my residence. None of the service reps wanted to touch the unit. They stated that LG refrigerators had high linear compressor failure rate plus LG was delinquent in remitting payment for their services rendered. LGs compressors are warranted for 10 yrs. but purchasers must pay for all labor and trip charges. The authorized reps stated the average cost of to replace the compressor was between $600-$1200. This is no way that I would invest this amount of money for such a high failure product. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!

LG fridge LFXS29626S French Door - Remodeled our kitchen and got this new piece of crap unfortunately. Compressor went out 1yr 4mos. Not under warranty. Broke down 6 weeks ago. One rep told me pretty much to get over it, she was without fridge once for 5 mos. 6 weeks is nothing! They all act like theres something wrong with us for feeling that the service is unacceptable. We did a complete kitchen makeover and chose top end appliances, or at least so we thought! The LG refrigerator is the absolute worst appliance we have ever bought. From day one there were issues and LGs customer service is non existent! Has never made ice on a regular basis, now doesnt make ice at all. The plastic drawers are all broke and duct taped so that we can still use them. Most importantly the lighting has not worked correctly since the day we first plugged it in. Some times they work, most times they dont. At one point we smelled smoke and opened the frig to find the plastic cover on the top mounted lights had completely melted off. Luckily our home did not burn! At this time our top end LG refrigerator does not make ice, has no lighting (we use a flash light to find what we need), the bottom freezer works when it wants to and our drawers are all duct taped so that we can use them. WARNING: THE LIGHTING ISSUE COULD COST YOU YOUR HOME! DO NOT BUY A LG REFRIGERATOR!!!!

We purchased this refrigerator in December 2016. The first issue was the very typical water tube leak which caused cascading icicles in the freezer (LOWES was very helpful with this problem). A couple of days ago, the right top hinge came loose, causing the door to hit me in the chest. I had to support the door to prevent it falling completely off. We were able to reattach the hinge pin and duct tape it to prevent a recurrence. This could have had catastrophic results. Prior to the hinge pin coming out, the door had been difficult to close properly, but we could not see what was causing the problem. I will not purchase any more LG products.

I purchased my LG refrigerator in June 2017 and 3 weeks ago the compressor failed. After a few hours of talking with LG they agreed to send out a repair person to assess the issue. A&E is the only authorized repair in my area that can work on a sealed compressor so an appointment was set for 2 days after my initial call. The repair person let me know that this is a known issue with the LG refrigerators and that even with replacement I might only get another year out of this fridge. LG finally agreed to a one time compressor replacement and A&E ordered the parts. The parts never arrived and instead of re-ordering what was the initial order, A&E insisted that they would have to come back out to my home before they could re-order the parts. They appoint was another 2 days out. When they arrived, they confirmed the parts that needed to be ordered, rescheduled an appointment for August 28 and again ordered, 2019 the parts which arrived 5 days later. The new Super Compressor according the A&E was installed on August 28, 2019 and we were told to wait 24 hours for the appropriate cooling. Since this install my freezer still has not gotten cold, the fridge now will fluctuate from 20 degrees to 56 degrees and now the panel is showing an error code. I am now waiting for A&E to come on Sept 3, 2019 to look at the fridge again. Both LG and A&E only have call centers with trained staff to restate that they are sorry for the inconvenience and nothing more. I am on the verge of 4 weeks without a refrigerator with no end in sight. I based my purchase on the Consumer Reports magazine and website that touted the LG fridge performance and reliability. As a consumer I feel that I have been duped and am potentially looking at investing more money for a refrigerator that works. I would never buy an LG product again after this experience knowing that this was a known issue and LG kept selling their product with the same faulty compressor.

After having a house fire and needing all new appliances, we decided to go with an LG 4 piece kitchen appliance package from Home Depot for nearly $3,000. Within 5 years (right after the extended warranty we purchased had expired) the dishwasher stopped draining. We ate the cost of that and got rid of it and purchased one from a competitor. We have also had problems with our oven, sometimes it will go through periods where it wont turn on, then its fine the next day. Again, we are just dealing with that at this point since we cant afford to purchase a new one right now. Finally, we are now dealing with our refrigerator. At $1600 our refrigerator has stopped working due to a bad compressor at less than 8 years old. There is only one technician in our area that LG will let repair this, and while the part is still covered by the manufacturer warranty, the labor is going to be between $500 and $700. This is ridiculous! We had so many options when choosing our appliances and we put our trust and money into LG. We have been living out of a mini fridge for two weeks because we dont have the money to make this repair. After reading all of the same complaints about this refrigerator, LG should be held accountable and make this right for their customers!

First contact on Feb 23rd for compressor replacement, 5 years into a ten-year compressor warranty. Lengthy wait on hold,13 verifiable calls later, as of March 5th, there has been no authorization for a compressor to be shipped to the service vendor. Service vendor made 7 of 10 calls in one day. LG will not provide a direct number to reach the same person twice. They will provide you with a badge number and first name. When you call back, there is no way to get back to the same person. Today they tell me it takes five days to process a parts authorization. They also tell me it will be another 7 to 10 days before they ship the parts once they are ordered.Once that happens, the service provider has to order the parts, and reschedule service at the home location. Both my self and the service provider have been sent to another company called Encompass who then has you start all over. I was told on March 1st that the authorization was in my email, all I had to do was open it. On March 2nd, I was assured it would be processed in 24 to 48 hours. Today, that has grown to 5-7 business days to approve parts. This has left me no choice other than to be a month or more without a refrigerator. The original purchase price was just over $2700.00 on sale.

I am writing you today regarding my LG3036-ST Gas range that I purchased from Best Buy earlier this year. Recently, while using my stove for the first time the top oven caught fire and the broiler would not shut off. This malfunction resulted in the fire department coming to my home to put out the fire and disconnect the stove. This was the second range that we had been given by LG, the first did not work upon arrival (3 of the burners did not work and the top oven would not turn on). Prior to buying my range, researched extensively for the best product for my limited funds and settled on the LG3036-ST. While I was disappointed that the first range did not work, I was horrified that the second malfunctioned and caught fire. Following the fire, we contacted Best Buy about getting a technician to look at the Range and to replace or fix it. Best Buy sent a representative who looked at the stove and decided that it did indeed malfunction and needed to be replaced. The tech even stated in his report that it was not a grease fire but was caused by a malfunction. As the range is under warranty from LG, Best Buy is requiring a return authorization number. So we began calling their customer service hotline to obtain this number. Our first contact was a call center employee who took our information and said that someone would contact us in 5 days. It was very frustrating that we had to wait 5 days to even TALK to someone who could potentially help us. Finally we spoke to someone at LG who forwarded us along to various departments and more equally unhelpful people. I think we have spoken to 6 or 7 people at this point, with each of them telling me that they couldnt issue a return authorization number but maybe the next person could. We are now heading into our third week of dealing with some of the most incompetent customer service I have ever encountered. The person we are now dealing with, Cindy ** at executive services, has stated to us that we need to obtain a fire report that shows it is a faulty valve that caused the fire. So, I took time off of work (which cost me money) and went to the fire station who then told me that in our city (Chattanooga, TN) they are not allowed to state cause of damage unless it is an arson investigation, which this is not. Their report is so broad, it simply states fire in the kitchen. After relaying this information back to **, she then told us that your technical department believes that the fire is a grease fire and not due to your products failure. They think this off of pictures taken by my wife on HER CELLPHONE. They are directly contradicting the actual repairman who has seen the oven in person based off pictures on a cellphone of the exterior of the stove. After a few days of stalling, LG agreed to return the stove yesterday June 19th only to rescind their offer today June 20th after their techs looked at the cellphone picture again. They literally took the word of a tech behind a computer in Korea over a tech who physically came to our house and diagnosed the problem. I realized in that moment that LG has no intention of helping us and are only seeking to further their corporate bottom-line. We have been more than patient as their customer service department has stalled, passed the responsibility and blatantly lied about the cause of the fire. There have been no apologies for our situation, no efforts to help and no basic human decency. To say that I am frustrated is a huge understatement. In building our home, we also purchased a few whirlpool appliances, two of which had a few small issues. Rather than give us the run-around, like your company has done, Whirlpool responded quickly and had a service person at our home within 24 hours who not only fixed the problem but went above and beyond in helping us. I was so pleased I have encouraged my friends and family to purchase Whirlpool products and I will continue doing so in the future. In direct contrast is the service LG has provided. I will never purchase an LG product again, I will also discourage everyone I know within my sphere of influence against purchasing LG products.

I am on my second LG 30.5 Cu Ft Door in Door French Door Refrigerator with Ice and water dispenser LFX31945ST. Price over 2.5k. Thank god for Best buy return and exchange policy or I would be screwed. After reviewing websites recommendation claiming this LG was the #1 rated product, I soon came to realize those rating are mostly on features and design. The reviewers do not actually keep that refrigerator in house and truly test the quality and durability of the product. So I purchased my brand new fridge - super excited. As a family of 5, I need something big and nice. During the next two week my wife kept noticing the freezer was not maintain the temperature. Give you an example: anytime you take out, ice cream, I normally had to let it sit on the counter for a minute before I was able to scope it out. With my top of the line LG Fridge I can take the container and squeeze with my bare hands. Call the LG tech, replace the motherboard. 24 hours later the whole fridge failed, all food lost. Call Best buy, I believed in the product and the review. This must of been a unique experience. Today is day 14 and the freezer still does not freeze properly, sending it back. Never ever will look at LG for anything again.

I bought a window LG Dual Inverter 15 months ago. I read many reviews and they were very negative but the low noise thing was hard to beat. Yes it is low noise at low speed but still worked good for my needs. Now it is freezing in the front coils. I have used the unit less than 6 months as I dont live permanent where it was installed. LG service is non-existent and now the warranty is expired. Also the front grill looks CHEAP in appearance and one or two clips broke during installation. I will never ever buy anything from that brand and much less any appliances from Home Depot.

Purchased a new LG Steam dryer-DLEX3370W and washer in June 2018. Within 2 months of purchasing the dryer would not come on. Interior light would come on but electronic panel lights would not, so it is a bad board. Called LG for warranty service. Never received another call from them ever. Service repairman came 3+ weeks later with a front panel plastic part, knowing the dryer would not turn on. He threw the part in the box and stated LG sent him the wrong part. I stated I knew he orders parts not LG. LG confirmed this also. Said he would order a board and be back another day. I filed a complaint with him due to him lying about the part along with him not even opening the dryer to diagnose the problem. I have called LG every few days for 3 months now regarding the status. I am told pending. They asked for receipt of the purchase, I uploaded it to my claim. Then 2 weeks later asked for it again, uploaded it. Never in 3 months has anyone from LG called me to let me know the status. They refuse to give anything in writing also. This dryer has a lawsuit against LG due to the stream drawer and a house fire. After 10 weeks we finally purchase a new dryer and expect they would reimburse us due to not being able to find another repair company to come out to our area. They asked me to upload the receipt, I did, along with our Governors state of emergency in our county due to flooding in Texas, I did that also as asked. Today, 11/8/18, I called and spoke with a Supervisor in Executive Services who was not customer friendly, stated the claim had been denied last month! No notification, nothing! I asked for the address to send a small claims notification letter. LG Legal Dept, PO Box 24007, Huntsville, AL 35813. We will be filing a suit not honoring the warranty of a 2 month old dryer. FYI, a lawsuit was filed for a house fire due to the steam drawer.

Bought LG appliances for our new home a year ago; love the refrigerator & stove, but hate the dishwasher! I too, wish I had researched this website before purchasing. The dishwasher does get bad odors occasionally, & my husband checked the filter in it, but it was clean. I put a cup of vinegar in a wash cycle of dishes & it went away. The reason there was no food in the filter is because we thoroughly rinse, almost wash, the dishes before we run it 1-2 times a week! Very disappointed in the cleansing of the dishes! If a knife had mayo on it when put into the dishwasher, even a small amount, its still on there when it comes out! Doesnt clean coffee stains out of cups, either. I would never buy another LG Dishwasher or recommend it! It is very quiet, but I would trade the noise, for clean dishes! No other problems so far!

I purchased all new LG LRG3093ST range on November 18, 2011 to match all the LG appliances I purchased. Within months the knobs started to crack and the cheap stainless foil laminate started to peel. I contacted LG and was told that they were aware of a problem with the knobs and there was a newer knob available that corrected the problem and they would ship them to me. Though I was skeptical of the information given to me I decided to accept their explanation and so a new set of knobs were shipped. Upon receiving the so called new knobs I closely compared them to the originals and found them to be exactly the same. Not a bit different. I kept the old knobs in use (using extreme caution) until the renovation of my kitchen was completed. Once the new kitchen was completed I exchanged the knobs with the new ones. Guess what? My wife use the oven today to bake and the new knobs started to peel and crack. The stove top and knobs are cleaned every day after use. They were fine yesterday! Its been just 45 days since I replaced them. They are true CRAP! It seems the oven builds up too much heat and that is when it happens. Not only that but there is also a burning smell when this occurs. Well, fortunately I purchased extended protection plans for every LG appliance I purchased from Home Depot. I will be on the phone with them bright and early tomorrow and see what they are going to do. At this point after reading all the complaints about the knob problem I will never ever purchase another LG appliance again nor will I recommend it to anyone either.

LG LFX21960 - We have had our LG French door water dispensing refrigerator
LG LFX21960 - We have had our LG French door water dispensing refrigerator for 5 years and what a waste of money it has been. The ice crisper drawers are cheaply made and fall off their track on a weekly basis. This problem began happening within a year of use. In the last year (so 4 years of use), our interior light bulb malfunctioned and melted its own plastic casing, our ice maker has broken and had to be replaced, and our water line (the one that runs the ice and water of the refrigerator) has sprung 2 separate pinhole leaks. Those leaks have caused water damage to our kitchen floor as well as the wall behind the refrigerator. All of the problems have been fixed at our expense. Not only that, we have had to use the LG service repairman to come out and fix our model. We have not been able to use our own repair service. I will never buy an LG product again!

LG T9577TEELJ 8.5 kg Top Loading Washing Machine - I have bought this machine recently around 5 months back and have tried everything and even LG has sent people for resolving the issue but they also failed in their attempts. Even if you wash clothes separately the lint on clothes stays along with washing powder patches. The inbuilt filter even if cleaned adds no value. Thus its a waste of money and LG doesnt have any solution to this except for generating service request again and again. Would recommend guys not to go for this machine.

LG Premium service - I called LG on my washer that was out of service warranty. The washer had flooded out of the front door seal. They transferred me to the department that dealt with out of warranty repairs. They dont mention you are not working with LG even though all correspondence has the LG logo on it. Silly me for thinking I was dealing with a reputable company. The one time service was simply wiping down the seal of the washer that eventually flooded the washroom a second time. I called and they returned with a new seal. Next day it flooded the room again. 2 days out of work and $300 for 2 more floods. I called and requested a refund for poorly executed services. Realizing my downtime out of work and paying for the service paid for a new washer. I received a reference number and was told I would receive a refund in 6 weeks or so. 2 months now, and 1 hour of calls, I was told that the case was reviewed and my services were delivered as contracted. No calls or notification that a ruling was made. 2 supervisors later today basically told me the same. Next call is to corporate. If you have been taken by Assurant, the number its 212-859-7000. Its not the $300 but the lack of customer service and QC by this company. DO NOT BUY A CONTRACT FROM THIS COMPANY!! I will never purchase an LG device or appliance if they associate with a company like this.

LG is supposed to be one of the top-rated for reliability but Im disappoint
LG is supposed to be one of the top-rated for reliability but Im disappointed that after two years, I started having problems with my LG refrigerator. I didn’t expect that. It just stopped working and the lead time for getting somebody in here to repair it was ridiculous. I had to do three repair jobs which took about two months. It would work off and on so the food would get all defrosted and Id throw stuff out. Id reset it and the fridge would work for a little while then the same thing would happen. The contractors that came were good but the first repairman didn’t fix the problem. I told the service repair people that the guy told them that a part needed to be replaced and to order that part. It turned out they did not order it. So, that delayed everything a lot ‘cause they didn’t do what they were told and they didn’t listen to me. The second repairman who was an authorized LG service guy told me that the first guy diagnosed it wrong. The second guy figured it out and fixed it. The refrigerator is working fine now but its making a little bit more noise than it ever has.

I am dissatisfied with my LG top load washer. It is only 3 yrs old and constantly giving UE and UE error code especially on special wash cycles. I had an appliance tech over and paid the $50.00 service charge and they are pointing to the computer and possibly the stator or both. I am scheduled to have an Authorized LG Repair company next week analyze the problem. This visit will cost $75.00 and it can be applied to the total repair. This is not an isolated problem and I am sure LG is aware of it and they dont care! There is a class action lawsuit against LG for certain models with the same problem but mine is not included. What? Give me a damn break LG. Do you know that you have lost me a future customer and I am now warning others to stay away from your washers! I will let you know if I am going to get it fixed or junk it later.

I purchased a LG refrigerator 4 years ago. Besides the fact it takes 2-3 weeks to get an authorized service call (not after a major catastrophe or storm, just in general), its going to take another 2-3 weeks to replace the compressor. 7 year-old LDF7810ST (with very little use until recently) gave LE code. Replaced motor & since old part was riveted shut, husband drilled it open to take a look: what a mess. This must have been a defective part from the beginning and ultimately made a terrible grinding noise like it was chewing up silverware, however, it was just the motor grinding itself into pieces. Re-assembled & still wouldnt operate. He checked wiring & voltages, only to find that the noise filter has a 120V black wire and white wire coming in one end of the filter and coming out the white wire is 120V. He cant figure out how this ran in the first place, but has anyone else noted this problem? Do we throw good money after bad & keep trying to fix this sad excuse for a dishwasher?

Bought a LG French door refrigerator April 2012. Within 8 months if you use the ice dispenser, it would not stop dispensing ice without jiggling the dispenser. Call LG, they sent someone who brought the wrong part because the person did not understand the problem that I told them about. The repair person said he had to order a new part and it would take a couple of weeks. About three weeks later, I receive a phone call from LG stating that instead of fixing the ice maker they were going to replace the whole refrigerator. That should have been the first sign of trouble. I said ok. They said I need to send them the serial name plate on the inside. I said ok but why. “Well we dont want the refrigerator back, but we dont want any serial numbers on this to void all warranty.” I guess this is because if I sell it I cant claim to have a warranty for it. That’s fine, Im getting a new refrigerator. Mistake number 1. They are going to call me with a date and time. Finally someone else calls to set up delivery and tells me the date and that this refrigerator is only going to have a warranty of 90 days and they are not going to set up the new refrigerator. Mistake number 2. I thought only a couple of months left on this refrigerator, get a new with a couple of extra months. I agreed with this and the people brought in anyways. Now with the new, 8 month later, I now have the error message 1f. I you are thinking about this refrigerator or LG products, stay away. Customer service is rude and thoughtless when it comes to your problem. They have a serious problem with this product and are not willing to fix it.

A couple years ago, we had a problem with the knobs on a LG gas range installed in a rental unit. The labelling on the knobs wrinkled due to the heat from the oven, and there was another problem that I dont recall now. After contacting a local appliance store and getting a referral for replacement parts available at a substantial cost, we contacted LG directly. They were very helpful and sent a new set of replacement knobs free of charge. Since there were a number of similar complaints posted at that time, I wanted to post this as a possible solution to the problem, even though my posting is long after the problem was solved.

Ive had it a few years and recently it started making loud noises. I do OK with simple home repair so I opened the unit and found that the barrel was warped from a huge crack in the back seam that I couldnt see from the inside. Also over the agitators inside machine will start to develop a gap inside the barrel causing cloths to get stuck and twisted up ruining them. They also will trap change and other small items inside the agitators then make that noise as well. Why we cant have the old american made products again? Miss that.

We purchased an LG Bottom Freezer Fridge in 2011, cost over $2000. To date we have had 3 service calls for faulty boards to a drilling sound loud enough to drown out my TV in the next room. I paid $200 for an extended warranty to repair the first time the drilling sound started. Warranty valid for 90 day only. 1 year to the day, the drilling sound started again. I called LG customer service. The first person Eddie hung up less than 5 minutes into the call. Called back to a person by the name of Luigie. I explained the issue to him, he had 2 ways to resolve the problem, 1: spend another $200 for a service call or 2: unplug my fully stocked refrigerator for a few days, when asked if LG was going to replace the spoilage, he said that LG does not assume that liability however, he did tell me that the issue is known by LG. Our daughter and son-in-law purchased a LG french door fridge six years ago. Love the french door... but... after about 1-1/2 years... maybe 2... the fridge went out. My husband pulled the panel off the back and found a fuse blown. Cant order just a fuse? What? Had to order a whole new circuit board... $$$. So we took burnt fuse out and went to local hardware and purchased one as close as we could. Installed and waalaa it worked again. Now, it happened again so we showed our daughter and son-in-law how to change the fuse and keep the wires clean... The fridge goes out about once a year but wow does it save them a ton of money being able to fix themselves. And the fridge works just fine! GOOD LUCK!

The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. We contacted the store where we bought it and a service tech came out on 9/20/18 and said there was nothing he could do. It ** the bed. I called customer service (which the rep was rude) and she stated we needed to have a certified LG tech look at it and they need to submit the repair request. She gave the one, which there seemed not to be more than 1 in RI. Contacted Certified Service Co. and they seemed to be having issues with doing work on LG and said I would have to have parts sent to me if they were under warranty. I agreed. Now after reading all the reviews Im cancelling the service call and going to buy new refrigerator and it will not be a LG for sure. I think a lawsuit against this company needs to be revisited. There are way too many lemons out there and they were not cheap. Not to mention the loss of food and tons of aggravation!

I purchased a double door with bottom freezer, an LG refrigerator model LFD22860. One year after purchase, the cover on the electronic control started to melt (was covered under warranty). Two years later, the right side door seal ripped, and I called the warranty service line. I was told it’s the first time they hear of this problem, and that my warranty was over anyway. I had it fixed by a local repair company at $189.71 for a seal. Immediately within 24 hours, the door was rubbing with other side and started to get damaged. I called the service company to verify if it’s an alignment issue, but the doors are fixed on dowel pins and cannot be aligned! The only thing we could do is to put Vaseline to the doors often (RIDICULOUS). Anyway, even with Vaseline both sides, it ripped within a few months (I wasn’t about to pay $400 for seals!). It doesnt end here. Upon closer inspection, we noticed approximately ten cracks everywhere inside the fridge. This absolutely DISGUSTED me. We paid $2200 for this pile of junk, thinking it would last us for some time. Im fed up of big name companies getting away with cheap products sold in todays market. All they could tell me was that my warranty was over and that they cant do anything about it. Since then, I have never bought another product from them, and never will including my family & friends.

I bought the washer in June of 2013 and had issues right away. It would never put in enough water to get the clothes clean. My husband works with cattle and his clothes get dirty. After the Heavy Duty cycle, the clothes would come out with mud. Always have to use the Bulky/Bedding cycle. Machine would freeze up and finally wouldnt reset. They replaced the control board and found a wire that was never installed correctly so sometimes it would connect and sometimes not. Now just this month it would constantly be uneven and finally froze up. It was the main part under the drum that controls the machine that went out. Only 2 years old and this is the machine I am stuck with. Thankfully I bought a 5 year extended warranty with it. Once that is up, I will not buy another. Cycles take forever. You get the UE Uneven Code a lot with towels. It is not water efficient when it will constantly refill to make it even, spin and do it over again because it is still uneven.

We purchased this oven in February 2016 years ago and it stopped working properly several months ago. Now the oven temperature does not get hot enough even when raising higher than the normal range. We cant bake anything properly with it because at best, it takes twice as long. Also, this oven has never been easy to clean as advertised. We have found that we have to work just as hard as we did with our older models, and with chemicals to get it clean. It has been a discouraging experience to have purchased a model that was a supposed upgrade only to have it not working in less than 2.5 years. Unfortunately, the warranty was only for 1 year and we did not purchase an extension.

On June 6, 2010 I bought an LG wm2301hr washer from Best Buy. Today we found that this washer had a slow leak in a faulty valve at the top of this unit that must have been leaking for a while. It was just a slow steady drip for a long time until today 3-2-2012. The way we found was that there’s a moldy smell in the closet behind the wash room with lots of black mold growing under the baseboards. Now, we have ruined carpet, ruined clothes, ruined sheetrock and baseboards and a washer that I have to fix myself. I expected a lot more quality for an $1100.00 washer. Best Buy said sorry. LG said sorry out of warranty. Wow, with the water dripping on the motor, I don’t even know if the machine is safe to put back in service. Any help would be great!

Had my dishwasher delivered 25 August 2016. On Halloween it gave error code AE. LG customer service said not their problem it is an installation issue. HHGregg came out and said no it is defective the installation was correct. The machine then gave code LE so I called LG back. They had a repair shop call me and I explained the codes. The shop ordered the parts. After days of calling they finally answered and said LG had not given them a delivery time frame and to call LG. I called LG and they said not their problem and to call shop. I called LG back and complained. After days of arguing they assigned another company because the first became unresponsive. The second and third company never contacted me and LG would say nothing but oh we are finding someone. Then I was referred to the refund/replacement department who said I would get a call on the decision. No call came so I had to call back. I called back and they said oh sorry we did not call you. It was rejected. I resubmitted because yet another repair shop was unresponsive. It is now 20 December and I may not get a decision until the 23rd. Then I get to wait 7-10 days for a refund or a new machine. LG is unwilling to accelerate the process or give me a supervisor who can make a decision. Every call I get a lecture about established procedures and timeframes that have to be followed. Reprinted receipt provided.

LGR4113ST - I love how this oven bakes/roasts at such an even temperature. However, the front knobs turn much too easily (they only need to be pushed in maybe 1-2mm). I called after I inadvertently turned the gas on, while reaching for a spice, to see if there was a retrofit, but was told no. My kids late teens/early 20s have all accidentally turned the knobs on the range, and Ive come home no less than three occasions to my home reeking of propane. I thought there were laws in place to prevent such hazards. Do not buy this if you have little ones as its much too dangerous.

The service was relatively quick and the technician was very professional. However, the refrigerator itself seems to be loud and poorly constructed especially in the stress areas where there is no reinforcement, just plastic (for example, the Glide N Serve drawer. Even the inner plastic is not very durable. I am very unhappy with the quality of this LG refrigerator - it is very upsetting especially to my wife.

Bought an LG French door refrigerator in 2007. In 2010 the water hose in the back of the refrigerator cracked and water started leaking into the wall between the kitchen and garage. Never got water in the kitchen but in the garage. So we had that fixed. In December of 2013, the freezer wasnt keeping the temperature consistent cold. Called in an LG approved repair person. He couldnt figure out was was wrong since the compressor ran and occasionally cooled. Finally he took a wrench and hit the compressor and it started cooling. It ran for 4 months. He said oil got into the unit. At the beginning of this month, the compressor stopped working completely. Called another repair service. A new compressor arrived, but it wasnt working. So they ordered another one. Today the repairman tried to install the new compressor and it didnt fit. The wrong model was sent. The compressor is on back order and may not ship for two weeks, which means that I will be without a refrigerator for 5 weeks by the time the compressor arrives and thats if it arrives when LG THINKS it will. It may be silly of me to think that a refrigerator will work for longer than 7 years. If you are thinking of buying an LG appliance, my advice is DONT! The product is cr** and the authorized repair people have no idea what they are doing.

I have been very unhappy with our front load LG washer. It frequently leaves brown streaks and stains on our clothes and sheets. We cant get these stains out with bleach or other cleaning products even with multiple washes. Im sure the dollar value of ruined clothes and sheets is more than the washing machine cost! Imagine buying brand new clothes and sheets and theyre instantly ruined after one wash!Weve tried cleaning the inside of the washing machine multiple times with varying products. Weve also cleaned the soap dispenser and drain pump area. Weve spent lots of time trying to fix this, and we still get brown streaky stains on our clothes. It is very difficult to clean the drain pump filter area. It is so low to the ground that you cant get any item below it to collect the stinky water that flows out so it goes all over the floor. Were we supposed to install the washing machine on stilts?! The hose to drain the filter area has never worked. Its also very hard to clean the rubber door seal. We wipe it down after every use. It looks like some brown mildew gets stuck between the rubber seal and metal part of the door but its impossible to get to. I wish we had our old-school top loader washing machine.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator the end of January which was delivered the 1st week of February. Three weeks later I was dealing with LG Customer Service as the compressor had twice made a terrible grinding noise. After several calls they escalated the issue for an exchange but stated it would take 5 days & to call back then which I did. When contacted after the 5 day period they again gave the exact same directive. I was grateful Best Buy agreed to change it which they did the 1st week in April and advised if I had the extended warranty with Geek Squad they would have taken care of it right away so I bought it on the replacement. The split door on the replacement refrigerator would not close properly & the alarm for that door did not function. Contacted Geek Squad who wrote upon order for repair but the order would not allow it to be scheduled for repair as there are NO SERVICE REPS in this area. How can anyone sell products that have a manufacturer AND an extended warranty when there is NO AVAILABLE SERVICE??? Best Buy sent 3 people from the local store & they offered to replace again but they only allow one (1) replacement on an extended warranty so if there would be anything wrong with the 3rd one I would be out of luck. So today I will go to Best Buy and hopefully get a full refund and go to a local appliance dealer (who services direct) to get a different brand that will cost more. We all loved the design of the LG but I no longer trust LG or Best Buy.

The knobs on the LG gas range will turn on just by reaching over the stove
The knobs on the LG gas range will turn on just by reaching over the stove to get something and turning to walk away. They turn past lite and fill your house with gas. You barely touch them and they do this. This is very dangerous. I have come home 3 times in the last year with my house filled with gas. My elderly mother took a pan off the stove to wash it and then went to the living room not noticing the smell. I came home and nearly passed out when I walked to the kitchen. I see that there are many reviews with this same issue. I have called LG and they keep trying to send a technician. I have explained its not a technical issue. Is a very poor design. They will have their safety team call me within 24 hours. I think something needs done about this. People are or probably already have been killed. They certainly have to be aware of this with all the reviews I have read. Next step is to go to the News and do a demonstration so people will be aware and not purchase from this company. Like I said it has happened 3 times in my home and its dangerous. Please do not buy LG gas ranges.

The specifications on my LG washer state it will pump up to 96 inches high. It does not, and leaves water in the bottom of the tub. It is a LG WM3575 CW, Serial #: 602PNGX2H359, purchased on May 6 2016. It was delivered, installed on May 9 2016. The washer has not drained properly since. I emailed LG on June 2, 2016 about my complaint. I received no response. I submitted an email again on June 7th. I still did not receive a response. After several phone calls, a technician was scheduled to come out on June 17th. He took photos and determined the product was not working as designed from day one and was installed properly. His recommendation was a pedestal or add a check valve to the drain pipe.I contacted LG everyday the following week. Each time I was told I would get a return call. After several calls, it was determined that the photos taken by the technician never made it to the office. I had to take my own photos, and email on June 30th. Now they are saying maybe the extra bend in the hose is the problem. The hose has to bend to go up and it has to bend to turn down into the drain. That is normal and is exactly what the pictures look like on the install diagrams. On August 4th I had another technician inspect the washer, and he gave the same diagnosis as the last technician. I have an open case with BBB # **. The case opened in July, and LG has until August 12th. I called customer executive services to give LG an opportunity to provide a resolution. The representative Robert, supervisor # ** assisted me. He provided the best customer service he could. He researched the information and spoke with technicians and supervisors in order to provide a resolution to the satisfy the customer. I suggested LG provide me a pedestal to determine if that would resolve the issue. LG stated they do not manufacture pedestals, so they cannot provide one. What a failure on your part LG. I will not buy LG again!

Weve had this washer for about 2 years now and it is a terrible machine (the model is WM2050CW). When I wash shirts (4 or 5), I get soap stains on the shirts. The shirts have developed little pills (I do small loads at a time). If we dont keep the door open at all times we get a smell from the washer. It uses such little water I cant see how clothes could possibly be clean. We bought this at a Sears Outlet store. The washer and dryer were returned by a customer and we know now why. These were issues with the washer right from the start, but its just getting worse (and more and more frustrating). I wish wed bought a cheap top load washer. It takes forever to do a load of laundry and while it uses less water, it takes twice as much electricity. I thought it only fair to alert you to our dissatisfaction before we start to share with others. We had only heard good things about LG, but we will never buy another LG product, and we will urge anyone that will listen not to either.

My top load washer blew up inside after using the machine for 5 years without an issue. I had registered the product and never received notice that the company had recalled the model I purchased. When I filed my recall claim LG had all my customer information, including my purchase price and old maiden name, but refused to process my recall until I could provide my own receipt. I went through days of searching and calling Home Depot and complained three times to call representatives that its unfair I have to jump through all these hoops when they already know the selling price to reimburse me for. They stated You have to reconfirm the price and prove thats what we owe you.Ive been without a washer for three weeks now and am out a hundred dollars in laundry costs. As well as $300 in lost clothes when the washing machine blew up and caught on fire inside. LG refuses to acknowledge these costs and the time Ive spent toting laundry all over. The nearest laundromat is 20 miles from my house. Simply refunding me my purchase price is a slap in the face after all Ive been through because of this machine literally blowing up and catching fire inside. My house smelled like electrical fire for almost a full two weeks.

Our less than 2 year old LG refrigerator stopped cooling and the freezer quit making ice on a Saturday or Sunday. When we realized it at 9pm on Sunday we called LG right away and that’s when the run around started. By Tuesday we had logged 8 phone calls to customer service. The representatives just read from a script and told us they had to send a work order to the repair people and it takes 3-5 business days. We tried to tell them the service people they mentioned in our city told us they wouldn’t work on LG (we’d already called) so they were wasting their time. We gave them the name of the closest service person willing to come out and even offered to pay him if LG could just reimburse us and LG refused. The service guy is standing by 30 miles away just waiting for the go ahead from LG before he heads to our house. He’s been screwed over by them before so he’s not willing to come out until he has the order in writing. This is now Friday and we’ve logged 12 calls to LG, 1 to Consumer Reports, 1 to BBB and 1 to our local consumer reporting agency. Unfortunately we purchased all new black, stainless, LG kitchen appliances when we remodeled our kitchen and if we go buy another refrigerator the color won’t exactly match the other appliances, but I think that may be our next step. My advice is to stay away from LG. They don’t stand behind their products and their customer service is terrible!

DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHING MACHINE!! Upon installation, our brand new top of the line front loading washing machine, LG Model # WM3470HWA, exhibited extreme water hammer noise, which resonated through our entire 2,700 sq ft home, immediately after the sensing cycle and during the filling cycle. LG Phone Tech Support recommended that our plumbing contractor (a master plumber), install water hammer arrestors (3 sets were eventually installed, in between visits from the LG 3rd party and Factory Rep). We also reduced the water pressure, even though the existing pressure setting was well within LG tolerances. he third party service rep, during a call w/ Tech Support at LG was told that the water hammer noise is intrinsic to the machines operation. In the end, after going to the very highest level of Customer Support at LG, they refused to address the problem, or stand behind the product in any way. The result... we are stuck with a inferior, defective washing machine. If you go to other blogs, you will see that this problem is quite common with LG washing machines.

On trying to have it repaired - error message indicating the machine is not draining - I contacted you asking for a local authorized dealer. So far, after 3 visits of their technician who changed the drain motor twice, the brain of the machine and having paid $390 for the repair, I continue to have the same exact problem. On my last conversation with the technician he alleged that the problem is with the drain hose/pipe.Although Im not knowledgeable on the subject this explanation makes no sense, since the machine drains water properly on the wash and rinse cycles, presenting the problem only on the spin going on to dry cycle. Calling twice and speaking to your supervisors at customer service led nowhere. What to do next?

I purchased a double oven in 2018 & within six months the numbers on all the knobs were coming off. Mind you, I paid over $1300 for this range. I requested replacement parts through filing a complaint with the BBB, because LG wanted me to buy the knobs, because the warranty had expired after emailing & talking with them on several occasions. First, they set the wrong color knobs, the second time they only sent two knobs, with one being damaged & the wrong style and the third time, all the knobs they sent were different & they only sent four. This is the worst company Ive ever had to deal with & the worst & cheapest made appliance Ive ever bought. Ive never had an oven where the numbers have came off the knobs. They are ripping off the consumers by producing these defective knobs & then trying to make you buy more & when you file a complaint, they give you the runaround & send you the wrong knobs, so they dont have to replace them for free. I have been going through this process for two months & still do not have the correct knobs on my oven. I spent over $5000 buying all new kitchen appliances and this is how they treat their customers. Its not like my appliances werent registered on their site, so they had the correct model & serial number. Buyers BEWARE when buying LG products. We have had our LG fridge for 3 1/2 years. We noticed that the refrigerator and freezer were not cooling and the ice makers were not working. We called LG. We have had three repairmen come out. The first one said the fridge could not be repaired and tried to get it condemned by LG. No luck there. The second repairman would not work on it and a week later the same repairman came and said LG insists that it be repaired. We are going on a month without a refrigerator. It needs a new compressor, evaporator, etc. etc. etc. LG technical support does not listen to the repairman even when he sends pictures of corrosion and black oily guck. Now a repair is scheduled for next week. We are so disappointed in LG, their product, and their customer service. They are supposed to send $150 for spoiled food but we haven’t seen the check. We are in our seventies and going up and down the basement stairs to the old 30 year old Gibson that is still working is hard on us. I loved this fridge for three years but refrigerators are too expensive to replace after only three years. I purchased the WT5101HW washing machine in September 2011. Within the first few months the door would not latch shut to operate. Fixed under warranty. Then there was the recall for extreme shaking. February 2015 the drain pump needed replacement to the tune of $350 for parts and labor. Now in March 2016 the machine refuses to balance, even when empty. Balanced loads have been a nightmare since the beginning and have gotten progressively worse. My machine goes off balance on every single load whether it is small, large or normal. Today is the final straw as it will not complete the spin cycle, even empty, to fully drain the machine. It just keeps dumping more water in to redistribute the load (even though the machine is currently empty). Its going to the curb and Im going back to Maytag. I will never buy an LG washing machine again.

My LG Electric Range with convection option malfunctioned and caught fire today, Christmas Day 2011. Its model LRE30755 ST/01 and manufactured in June 2007. A wire between the main compartment of the oven and the lower warming drawer compartment (inside the oven) arced and the heat melted a hole in the metal at the bottom of the oven. Essentially, the metal was on fire.Fortunately, the house did not burn down. The oven sort of shut itself off, and it did not trip the circuit breaker. It is out of warranty. Ill be calling the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the PA State Attorneys office in an attempt to get this product recalled. It is dangerous.

LG refrigerator model #LRBN-2051. Plastic parts breaking - door bins 3, handle and 2 rails. I feel the plastic is cheap and to build a solid refrigerator that is supposed to last longer than 2 to 5 years, this should not have happened. I would never buy another LG product.
