Bought a LP1111WXR at Home Depot. Could not get the unit to work. Called LG and they arranged for a service call. At no time did the customer service rep at LG Corporate ask for or require documentation, they advised that with the serial number they had the information they needed. LG customer service arranged for the 3rd party technician to repair the A/C unit. The tech arrived and confirmed that 99% of the unit functioned properly, except the canister holding the coolant had left the overseas LG factory either a.) without being filled, or b.) with the canister seal improperly properly fit (all coolant leaked out), or c.) with a cracked or defective canister (all coolant leaked out). The technician was set to repair, and then asked for the authorization number I had been provided by LG customer service. The senior advisor at customer service had never provided an authorization number. I advised the tech that LG arranged for the service call. He checked his notes and confirmed that LG Corporate had in fact arranged for the service call....but, nonetheless, he still needed an authorization # (which I was not provided). When I called back LG they gave me the runaround for about 1-hour transferring calls, on hold, etc... The supervisors whom I spoke to where now nasty, and horrible. They advised that it was my fault for not having the authorization number, and would not help in anyway. I now know, firsthand why and how LG sells their electronics at such a great price. Their customer service is awful, misrepresents, and when their product is discovered to be defective, they will not fix it.Worst customer experience Ive ever had - dont buy LG. Ill never buy an LG product, regardless of the price. Never again.

Gas Range LG30855ST - Its the same problem as the rest of the complaints. No prior research was done in reference to the below standard and poorly manufactured stove knobs breaking off. With the knobs that havent broken off, you dont know if gas is on or off. Definitely, its a safety concern and Im sick and tired of family getting sick from gas exposure. I have a 7-month-old baby and need action taken before I do.

We bought this LG fridge in 2015. By 2019, the compressor had to be replaced as we got the “FF” error. Apparently this means “Freezer Fan” but LG never replaced the fan. Now in 2021, I fought in vain for LG to pay for the freezer fan failure which happened again. They should have changed the fan in 2019 itself when the unit was under warranty. Having paid for the freezer fan mused and losing all my food, now the compressor has failed again. The executive department of LG - no one is even answering the phone. Voice of the customer/ office of the President is a joke. They don’t care about customer sentiment and bulldoze you. I complained to Texas Attorney General earlier in 2021 During the freezer fan fiasco. Then LG offered to pay $275 which I denied as it didn’t cover the cost of repairing the fan. Now the compressor from 2019 is broke again. No one to talk to at LG! Pathetic.

I have purchased 5 major appliances from LG in the past 16 months. Several days ago, I noticed ice on some of my frozen products in the freezer. I think I have it narrowed down to a $6 ice tray. It seems bent and lower than level at left front of the plastic tray. When I called to report the problem, all LG wanted to hear was, Did you purchase an extended warranty? I did not. I received a call back a few days later informing me that LG will not help me. The best they will do is to refer me to a plumber at my cost. No, thanks!!! These will be the last LG products (washer, dryer, gas range, dishwasher, and refrigerator) I will buy.

We purchased an LG WM1814CW washer and DLE2514W dryer six years ago from our local Home Depot. The washer truly has been a workhorse. We have no complaints about it at all. The issues we have are with the dryer. The drum split down its seam a year after we purchased it and was replaced at no charge, because we had also purchased the extended warranty. With a year to go on the warranty, we started having issues where the unit wouldnt start when the Start/Pause button was depressed. We didnt think much of it being that it was a rare occurrence. Less than a month after the extended warranty expired, the unit really started having major issues with this. Wed press the Start/Pause button, but the unit wouldnt begin the dry cycle. It would instead hum loudly and you could tell something was getting hot internally. I contacted the customer service department, asking if they would cover the repair because of the history with the unit. They flat out refused. Now this problem happens frequently and the only way to get the dryer going is to open the door, depress the Start/Pause button and the button just inside the door at the same time while manually rotating the drum to give it a jump start. Once the drum is rotating, we have to quickly shut the door hoping nothing gets caught in it in the process. If it does, we have to try it again. Occasionally it starts to go but then falters. If we press the Start/Pause button again, it may or may not go. We have been able to deal with it like this for the past 2-3 years. We did bring in a separate repairman to see if he could fix it, but he couldnt cipher what the problem was and ultimately gave up (after giving us his bill, of course). I guess one of the last straws with my dealings with LG was when they started sending us emails after refusing to cover the repair. The emails referred to my wife and I as valued customers. I told them in no uncertain terms that if we truly were valued customers, theyd repair the dryer at no charge to us.Because of the extremely poor customer service we received, I will never ever own another product made by this company. I dont care what the reviews are and I dont care how good the price is. Never again will an LG product cross my threshold.

I am terribly disappointed with this machine. First of all my clothes are dull and whites are GRAY. I have followed both the companys recommendations and the store where I purchased the machine’s advice. And they are still dull/gray. My other problem is that I have to constantly readjust the clothes... this last load took 12 times pulling the wet clothes out and rearranging them. This washing machine wont even do a tub clean without the uneven light code coming on. I have called LG numerous times and can barely understand the person that I am speaking to. The repair person has come out twice and once replaced the whole motor, but this has not solved the uneven/balance problem. Im terribly upset with the performance of this expensive machine and I dont know what to do about it. My advice is to not even think about purchasing this LG top loading washing machine.

WARNING!!!! I was cleaning out my refrigerator and cleaning the glass shelves. I washed the large glass shelf after it had sat on my counter for about 15-20 minutes. I used lukewarm water and soap. After washing it it, I was drying it with a paper towel and it EXPLODED! YES literally EXPLODED not just broke. Glass everywhere! I had glass in my hall way, Glass on my cook top, glass on my espresso machine, Shards embedded in my kitchen window frame. Luckily I had my glasses on because I had shards in my glasses! Could have been my eyes! Glass shards in my lip, my arm and in my hair. My sinks were filled with it and I even had it in my Island sink and Under my Island! I asked my neighbor to help me get it out of my hair and the tiny fragments off my face. I reported it to LG and they did not seem real concerned but asked me to send them photos. Sent photos of my cuts and my glasses and the huge mess this caused. LG called and said Id have to get a technician to come. Id have to pay for it but may qualify for reimbursement of tech fee. Unbelievable. Im still in shock and now scared to death to ever clean it again. This is very dangerous!

Updated on 06/21/2019: Terrible service, Read reviews please prior to buying, Parts are impossible to get once needed. I have 6 yr old fridge that cost $3500 and we havent been able to get parts since April 9th. First part took 4 weeks to get and it was defective. It was manufactured 2 weeks after we ordered it. Ordered another control board the first of May and they keep delaying ship date. Now saying June 27th. Every week they move it back.Original Review: We have been unable to get parts for our 6 yr old $3500 refrigerator. Ordered April 9th and still nothing, every few days they give us a different answer. WE have been told they use a different board for almost every fridge and dont keep them in stock?? Now saying May 7th. Who can go without a fridge that long? We have children and new fresh items.

Within 6 weeks of purchase, our washer would not turn on. We followed online instructions for a hard reset and were able to keep the machine running for a few weeks, then that process no longer worked. We called LG who scheduled technician. Purchase date July 26, first repair was mid September. Panel replaced. Washer worked for 4 loads and stopped turning on again. We called a second time. A week later a Tech came. He could not diagnose the problem even with another tech on the phone. Ultimately reported back to LG that our outlet was faulty or not properly grounded. We KNEW this was untrue because we had our electric upgraded years ago. We could not get another tech out until we proved we had proper electric. We paid out of pocket $170 for an electrician to come and test our outlet and amperage. There was NOTHING wrong with our home wiring. He suggested was a cord issue. We reported this to LG agents and were told a tech would come back with cord and replace. Tech came a week later. NO cord had been ordered. We were told it was on back order. This was third visit. Our original call to agents informed us that 3 calls to the home and our appliance would be replaced. That was third visit. (And it occurred on Oct 15 which was over a month without a washing machine.) We were told cord was on back order and would not be available until some time early November. Every time we called (four times) we were told something different about when the part would be available. The technician told us he would recommend replacement. He requested copy of receipt. We sent texted image to tech and assumed all was in place. Two weeks later, on Oct. 30 I called again for an update. I was told (after speaking to THREE DIFFERENT AGENTS) that the tech had not submitted recommendation for replacement.Agent contacted tech who said we had not provided receipt of purchase. I was also told by agent Arthur that the part on back order had in fact been sent to the technician on Oct. 23rd. (Per Arthur this came from Jamie in parts dept.) I demanded replacement. Was told to upload receipt to a portal emailed to me (which I did) and a replacement review would be implemented. Per agent Ivan this would take about 5 business days. The next day the technician called and wanted to schedule a Saturday visit for repair, because miraculously he did in fact have the part after all. My husband and I were both unable to be home, he worked and my father is seriously ill) so we declined that Saturday repair. I also was afraid that if he came out and was still unable to repair the washer it would cancel the process in motion for a replacement.I also reported this conversation to Ivan, as he called me back that same Thursday to check in and inform me that he had received my uploaded document as requested. He agreed that another repair attempt may further muddy the situation. Six business days later I called LG again and spoke to agent Mary. She said the technician had submitted a recommendation but not a request and the process had to begin again. I was furious. It was now one week into November and I am still paying for laundromat services to have clean clothes WHILE making payments to Lowes for the non working washer. Ultimately, I called from another phone to the tech on speaker (his number was on his business card) while agent Mary was on the other phone on speaker and insisted they speak to each other. The tech said he had done everything he was supposed to do and was tired of people dragging him back into the situation. He hung up on me (the tech) and Mary the agent was very apologetic but had no recourse besides starting over with the replacement appeal. The next day, the technician called my husband and said he could come that very day and replace the cord. (Funny how when people are forced to communicate in front of the customer, miracles happen.)My husband allowed him to come. He replaced the top selection panel, the front panel and the power cord. He said if the washer stops working now we will have to get it replaced because there is nothing left to repair. That was November 7th. One week later, the washer is functioning properly and I am still catching up on my wash. This took from September 12 to Nov 7th --FIFTY SIX DAYS (almost two full months, and nearly twice as long as we owned the washer before it stopped working), four technician visits, three parts replaced, out of pocket cost for an electrician to test our power (though we knew that was not the issue) and at LEAST 12 CALLS to LG to resolve.I have been a home owner since 1991. NEVER EVER in my life have I experienced more frustration in dealing with customer service. After the second unsuccessful attempt to repair an BRAND NEW washing machine we should have been offered a hassle free replacement. LG not only sells a product they cant repair, they have no willingness to make things right with their customers. I will tell everyone I know about this experience and discourage them from purchasing any product LG makes. I will never even CONSIDER their products in the future. Lifes Good ?? Not for LG customers.

I purchased LGLDT5678SS dishwasher in April. The dishwasher has a very annoying whistling sound during the fan/drying cycle which I reported to LG immediately. LG sent CVS Appliance repair to correct the problem. They replaced the fan; the whistling continued. I was told by their rep that it was probably a design/manufacturing flaw. I have called LG multiple times. I was told today by a supervisor that only TCC could authorize a replacement or refund, whoever that is. Do not buy this dishwasher. LG reps give you a constant runaround and the supervisor basically said LG would do nothing to correct or fix this. She put another work order in to CVS; their rep Randy called and said he had already repaired the dishwasher and that I should get another service company to come out. I have reached out to Ferguson, the company we purchased the DW from, they are my last hope. I cannot and will not live with this annoying noise which can be heard throughout my home, not just in the kitchen.

purchased april of 2014. 2 days ago refrigeration quit working (both freezer & refrigerator). Called LG customer service, individual I was put in touch with spoke very poor english, would not or could not help, was told it was basically my problem because the warranty of 12 months had expired. After making numerous calls to try someone who works on LG (another problem in itself) I called back to LG customer service. This time I had an individual who spoke understandable english. When I explained my problem we started the same song & dance routine that I went through earlier. Finally he told me I would have to call their service tech. He gave me the # for a company in pa. (I live in ohio about 25 miles from the pa state line). I told him that they would not drive that far, but I called them & they said they dont service ohio.I now have a sears tech coming to look @ refrigerator next week. Absolutely fed up with LG customer service department & their products (entire kitchen is LG appliances). Will never purchase another LG product as long as I live. This might seem like a long complaint, but I feel that everyone should know that the way youre treated when shopping for their appliances sure is not the way you are treated after you purchase them.

I’m writing about my disgusting experience with LG in regards to my washer WM4370HKA. I’ve had issues that started only within months of the purchase of this brand new washer. And the first technician that showed up was in DEC of last year, replaced parts and several weeks later the issue occurred once again. Repeatedly my washer doesn’t complete cycles and gets stuck with soaked laundry. It doesn’t clean properly and the clothes never come out smelling fresh. December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, I’ve had more than 3 technicians come to diagnose and attempts to fix the issue. They say they will be calling me back to replace parts but no one does. The issue is still ongoing and LG is denying me any service and has not agreed to my request for a replacement. I’m now ashamed to say that almost all my home appliances are LG because this type of service or lack of, shouldn’t happen. They don’t make you feel like a person, and they will do anything to deny you service. They don’t want to acknowledge that the machine is faulty. 1500 dollars and not even 6 months and it’s giving me hell.

I purchased a top load LG washer and dryer from a very popular store in Savannah, GA. Believe it or not at the almost end of the 1st years warranty, I was cleaning the washer around the rubber part on top and found that the framework was rusting. I had already reported the bleach dispenser was rusting without results. I called the store and was referred to corporate. I got the runner around there. After trying to work with them they had a recall on a part. After that was installed the washer is slower which I reported right away. To this day they have not sent anyone out to check the RUSTING OR THE SPEED AND RESULTS OF ANY OF MY COMPLAINTS. I LOVE LGS PRODUCTS BUT THE RESPONSE TO MY PROBLEM STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ADDRESSED. I initially didnt buy an LG. I won my first one at a Christmas party raffle. I took it home that night and enjoyed it for about four years and I had to sell it because of the size of my household was expanding. But we really dont have any negative effects with this brand. The refrigerator was a gem to own. Never had any problems with it not doing its job. Would buy another one without any hesitation. Always keep my food at a constant temperature. And keep my vegetables in the crisper crisp a little longer. The only problem I ever had was that it wasnt right for me in the realm of space. I would like to see a little bit more space in the freezer compartment. And towards the end of my ownership of the product it was making a little more noise from the compressor than usual.

I am currently battling with this ongoing issue. I have an LG Fridge that is only 3 years old and went out several months ago. LG has sent out very experienced techs that have basically replaced all parts in the fridge. They have said there is nothing left for them to do but LG insist on locating a very slow leak. This fridge has been repaired several times and It would work for a week or a few days then go out again. I have lost hundreds of dollars in food and they refuse to reimburse me for the fridge. They want to locate a very small leak, yet every time I call LG no one can give me clear answers on the next step.I have been without a fridge for months and if it wasn’t for my Home Depot warranty case manager I would have given up. I don’t mind going thru the process but LG is disorganized, unreliable, and inconsiderate to its customers. Based on my experience I have told family, friends and co-workers not to buy a fridge from LG. Even when their product is a lemon they refuse to approve a payout and instead leave their customers without a working fridge and no response. Awful service!

I bought this refrigerator in Sept. 2012. January 2013 I experienced the 1F error message. LG had a tech come out and replace the computer board and the fan. January 2014 same thing happened. They replaced the control board and the fan (the original fan was recalled so a newer fan was put in place). January 2015 freezer frosting up again causing the fan to run all the time. LG says it’s out of warranty however it is the control board that is broke again. They sent a tech out that would not open the door until I gave them a check for $60.00. Then they tell me that LG is just refurbishing the old boards and sending them back to be put back in the refrigerator. They tell me they want $308.00 to replace and that I have to give them $150.00 before they would order. I can’t afford that. This should be LG replacing this as this part is defective and they continue to put defective parts back into the refrigerator and charge the consumer. All I want is a working refrigerator. I will never buy an LG product again. They are deceptive and should be recalling these control boards and replacing them with working boards.

I bought an LG washer and dryer based on consumer reports/reviews, but I was sorely disappointed. Number 1 problem: Any and all clothing regardless of age, material content, or color emerges from the wash cycle looking like **. I never ever have experienced such rapid and profound deterioration of clothing and linens! It is heartbreaking to see my familys entire wardrobe worn away to the point where I am embarrassed to dress my children. These were items which looked brand new with repeated washing in my old machine and brand new high quality clothing never worn by anyone yet ever! It has extreme wash wear even with minimal HE detergent in a medium size load with extra water and slow spin speed on delicate ones. In addition, when it arrived, it was poorly color matched so the two appliances looked awful side by side (one crisp white and one grayish white). For the first week of washing, the machine stank like chemicals and it transferred to the clothing/linens. I managed to clear that up with repeated scrubbing of the gasket and religious maintenance schedule of hot bleach washes, leaving the door and detergent drawer open at all times when not in use. It was way too much work and heartbreak, especially considering the positive recommendations it gets from consumer sites and the price to buy it!

We are extremely disappointed and feel like we have been led on like they would possibly stand behind their product. I can hardly believe we have went this long without a full size fridge and freezer. If LG customer service would have just told us over two months ago that they would not stand behind a less than 3 year old fridge we could have thrown it in a landfill and went and bought another brand. Not only do we NOT need to spend so much money every couple of years on a major appliance, but we really don’t need to fill up our landfills with these things. LG, if you cannot make a large major appliance last longer than 2 years, PLEASE STOP MAKING THEM! Do it not only for customers like me, but for the WORLD!

We just bought this machine 2 years ago and it cost us almost $2K. Recently, it has been nothing but a headache. Keeps giving us an error message. After calling LG over & over, all we are told is to run washer cleaner through it, which weve done a million times. Still not working. LG finally said theyd contact an appliance repair and send out a rep (at a cost of at least $280 to us...thanks, LG!) and gave us a date and time window. No one showed. LG never set it up. Im beyond unhappy. I will NEVER, EVER, EVER buy another LG product. Their customer service is absolutely horrible and their slogan of Lifes Good is a JOKE. Life is only good if you do NOT own any LG products!!! Please, for the love of all things, just DONT buy LG.

I purchased my LG French Door Refrigerator in August of 2013. It worked great until earlier this week when it completely stopped cooling after only 2 1/2 years of use. I called LG and was sent to an overseas call center where someone reading from a script was quick to inform me that the 1 year warranty of my $2,000 appliance had expired. Not only did they not make any effort to help me, all they did was provide the names of two non-local companies who could service my appliance at my expense. I called the companies who would not travel to my home. I called LG back and they told me to find a repair person myself because they have no authorized repair people in my area. I did find a repair person to look at it and it was determined to be a sealed system failure which would be covered under my limited parts warranty. I called LG back and they have no one in my area that will work on a sealed system failure on their product. I have a completely useless product and no one to fix it. I paid $2000 for a refrigerator and I am storing my groceries in a cooler in my garage. I have never received such horrible customer service and I would strongly caution anyone considering an LG appliance to NOT do it! I will NEVER do business with this company again.

I lodged a complaint and its more than 15 days there is no follow up from the company side. Also even when I personally tried to escalate I was given the answer that Maam today - it will be done today... There is no clarity... Extremely poor service... I have faced before also the same problem but trusting in the brand I repurchased... Personally its pathetic the product and the service.

After diligently researching washers, including consulting Consumer Reports
After diligently researching washers, including consulting Consumer Reports, I decided to purchase an LG Tromm washer. Approximately 6.5 years after the purchase, the washer broke, specifically the metal spindle completely cracked from the metal drum. I called an LG endorsed repairman who ordered a new metal drum. Three weeks later, the drum came in but was damaged. He returned it and ordered another one. Two weeks later, the wrong drum was received. Again, he called and verified the part and this time, it took four weeks to arrive. When he went to replace the drum, it wouldnt fit and when he called the company (tech support), they verified that the drum was not the original piece. They also told him (and this was in front of me) that the specific type is no longer manufactured and that my washer would need to be retrofitted to accommodate the new drum type. This would cost more than the washer! I called customer support at LG and was told that they do not accept complaints. I asked what was done when one was sent in and was told that they just collected the complaints. So now, I am left with a broken washer, a pedestal that only fits LG front loaders and no venue to voice my displeasure. I will never purchase from LG again!

LRG 3081ST gas stove - My first problem was that Best Buy never warned me that to convert this stove to propane was going to cost close to $300.00. The next problem was as soon as I started to use the product, the fan in the convection oven does not work most of the time, the controls are very difficult to use and very confusing, one of the burners does not work! After contacting Best Buy they told me I had to call LG, which I did. After many tries and disconnected calls I finally reached a person and he reluctantly set up an appointment with a local repair shop, and although she agreed the fan should work better but after calling LG they said it was normal and there was nothing she could do. But they did agree it probably should have a new burner but that is still on order. The stove is basically a cheap POS. I would not recommend anyone to buy this model.

Bought LG fridge December 20, 2013... ice maker broke 2015. Now the fridge went Friday, December 13, 2019. Was told by lg customer service to take everything out fridge, defrost for 8 hours, wait 24 to 48 hours so fridge can get cold. Never happened. Did it again second day. Same thing. Not working, error code keeps coming on. They send tech. Charge us $125. Have to get fridge serviced. Another $324... Asked if they can expedite the shipping of motor fan whatever it’s called. Tech Ariel looked at my husband and I like we had two heads. He never tried to contact LG about expediting the part. We told tech we have to think about it. Maybe we should just buy another fridge. Tech was ok and left... like he didn’t care that we living out of two coolers. He Just said ok and left.We called LG about expediting the part again. They were like, We will see. We’ve been out of a fridge since Friday December 13, 2019, it’s Thursday December 19, 2019, LG calls us to tell us we might not get our shipment in till Saturday and maybe get our fridge fix Saturday. All our food has spoiled. No milk. The Christmas ham we bought spoiled as well as all the other good we had in fridge. About $300 in food we bought for Christmas Eve dinner. Let’s put it this way. After 15 years of waiting and saving our money, we finally decided to buy a large size LG refrigerator. We bought one LG large size fridge (Model No - GL-378PLQ4) with 2 extended warranty from Croma store on 30th April 2014. But from day one, only we started facing having cooling problem with fridge. We lodge 2 complaints within 2 weeks and every time they concluded that the Fridge is OK at their side. But when we lodged complaint 3rd time on 17th May 2014, the LG engineer found that yes, there is some issues with compressor and need to get it repair.Since its newly purchased fridge not even one month old, we requested them to replace it. Yes, the product has 3 years warranty. Then they finally started their game. Mr. Sandeep **, senior associate in LG office in Vaishali, promised us to get fridge replace within 2 weeks. But whenever I called them, either they are processing my request or in process state. Later on Mr. Sandeep ** informed me that the company has stopped production of this model and they dont have similar piece now. He assured me to return my money and got ready to initiate the process to refund our money.Again after having so many calls, Mr. **, Senior customer executives collected one cancelled check and they took signed on their document as part of their money refund process. May month was already gone and it was mid of June. Every time I called to LG customer executive person to request them if they can get the status of my request from Local LG executives. Later on, ** associate that handles replacement request called me up and said they cant refund my money, and will provide me another alternate model. Though I was not ready to accept after having such bad experience with them, still I got convinced and asked them to provide me a model at least with same configuration. Since we have already paid for that.I also talked to Mr. **, head of LG department. He convinced me that they will provide me a better model with better configuration than the one I purchased. They offered me LG Model GL- D372RLJM. Since we have been already frustrated from last 2 months with having *N* of calls to all senior/junior executives, I didnt had power to check on LG showroom now. Since they all were saying its latest model than your last model and its much costly than your one. I trusted them and asked them to deliver it. Finally on 3rd July, 2014 they delivered alternative LG model which was of medium size. Its one row less than our one. I called Ms. ** and asked her to take it back and said its not on agreement on what we convinced. She said they will look into the matter and will try to resolve it asap.I called many a time to LG customer executives, Ms. **, Mr. **. But I didnt receive any response. Then after one week, Mr. Sandeep called me stated that they cant do anything now because we accepted their replacement fridge and signed on their documents. And secondly, its being one week now and its too late to raise your voice on this. I tried to convey my message to them and said, Sir, Ive been calling to all of your executives since first day only when you kept your replaced fridge and ** knows all of this incidence. But he didnt agree and said they cant do anything now. Its not cheating and what we call it now. Company has stopped making more model of what we purchased. Thats not customer fault and why customer has to compromise with medium model in that case. I request to this forum if someone can listen my voice and do some justice to us.

This is the first LG product I have owned. After owning a washer/dryer set
This is the first LG product I have owned. After owning a washer/dryer set for 10 years with no problems made by Frigidaire, the dryer stopped heating. I gave in and decided it was time to upgrade my set (did a lot of shopping around). I purchased the set on 1/28/2012 (WT5001CW - Top load washer & DLE5001W-Electric Dryer) from HHGregg, cost $1701.58. On July 14th of 2012, the washer just stopped mid cycle with no power (clothes still wet inside it). One servicer in the state of KY services LG and could only get to it on 7/25. Power board was fried (order parts will be 3-5 business days to get and install because LG wont overnight the parts unless I paid for it). So now, we are looking at 8/1/2012 for a repair (the washer has a foul mildew odor since it has been filled with water since 7/14). With two young kids and a husband who works outdoors, not doing laundry isnt an option; so I have to pay a laundromat to get my clothes done since sitting for hours isnt feasible with a 20-month-old. LG was awful and couldnt care less if their product is bad and couldnt care less about a clients situation (I was lied to four times about finding another servicer to get to it faster and finally told that I would have to go with the first one). I was offered a laundry reimbursement on 7/26 (after at least 6 phone calls last week), but that was just a maybe. Once the washer is fixed, I can submit the claim for that and wait and see. I am disappointed in the service and product that LG offers. I was so excited to get this new pair and use them, but now I wish I had spent the extra money and gone Whirlpool or Maytag. I will never own another LG product again. Maybe I should sell this pair and cut my losses and move on.

The top loading LG Smart Drive was purchased when we moved to a new home. We have had nothing but problems ever since. It becomes unbalanced frequently. When it becomes unbalanced, it adds more water in an attempt to swish the clothes to regain balance. Waste!!! This washer is unbalanced more than it is in balance. Sometimes it takes 2 days to wash a load of clothes. Ridiculous. In addition, I am never able to wash a small load - EVER. A small load in this machine is like a free ticket straight to unbalanced status. On top of this fun, my clothes are frequently knotted and twisted so badly that I have to untangle and untie my clothes prior to putting them in the dryer. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM LG AGAIN! EVER!!!

My kitchen was filled with 2 LG appliances; a microwave, and a refrigerator
My kitchen was filled with 2 LG appliances; a microwave, and a refrigerator. I’ve had LG products in previous homes as well and although I’ve had to fix them from time to time they have been generally good products. So when it came time to purchase a dishwasher and a range oven I wanted to have a matching set so I went with the LG dishwasher and range oven.My refrigerator is 6 years old now and was not cooling down properly. I called your customer service line to see what could be done and they gave me the name and number of a local technician. I called and set up an appointment with Duncan Home Services. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty compressor. Although it was an inconvenience, I was pleased to remember there was a 10 year warranty on the linear compressors that were in my model of refrigerator (LFX28968ST/01). I called customer service on April 22nd of 2019 to see about getting the compressor replaced. 44 days later and 7 hours, 21 minutes and 42 seconds on the phone with customer support… I still do not have the correct replacement for my faulty compressor.I was given a case number of **. I will detail my dissatisfaction with your call support team later but here is a summation of the issue. In response to my request for a warranty replacement of the compressor, the Tech was sent a compressor with the model number of TCA35533604. This part was identified as a “backup replacement”. The Tech had installed one of these in another refrigerator they worked on just like mine and they knew it didn’t work. Therefore they would not install it and charge me the labor. They determined the correct part was TCA35893202. When they called to order that part they were told it is on backorder until early July.I don’t know if you’ve ever gone without a refrigerator for 2 months but when one is used to it being there, it is ridiculously inconvenient. The summation of what I determined from your customer support team was that I had 3 options that are policies that they say are set by you. 1: Wait another month for the part to come in. 2: I was offered 20% off a new LG refrigerator. 3: If I could produce the receipt then I could be given a new refrigerator. My problems with the above proposals are as follows: 1: I’ve already waited a month and cannot wait another month for a part that may or may not come in. I will be forced to purchase a new refrigerator from one of your competitors. 2: An equivalent replacement refrigerator will be another $2000 minimum. 20% of that is $400. I don’t have $1600 available to buy from a company that is doing a horrible job honoring their Warranty. As I said, I’d prefer to buy from someone else. 3: I know that the refrigerator was purchased at Lowes, I know that it was on or near Black Friday of 2013 but I do not have the original receipt from 6 years ago.I proposed 2 solutions to the problem, but the customer service supervisor said that she didn’t have authority to do either of the 2 options and only you did. I proposed the following: 1: Since the Tech determined that the compressor that LG sent was incorrect they would not Warranty their work. Since I have to pay labor for the installation as that is past the warranty period of 5 years, that is a problem. LG could warranty the work of their tech so I am not on the hook for when the part doesn’t work.2: The correct part (TCA35893202) is available through local appliance parts outlets and retails for around $279. LG could provide a voucher to the tech to purchase the part locally. This would be the quickest and most cost effective solution for all parties in my opinion. So if you could authorize my Option 2 promptly that would be fantastic. I am merely asking for a timely and correct replacement for a warrantied part. Now I spoke with at least 6 different supervisors. They are the 2nd tier of customer support. I have no issue with the first tier of support. They were all professional and as helpful as they could be and got me to the 2nd tier fairly quickly on seven of my ten calls. The 2nd tier of individuals however were the opposite. All I was given were first names so that is all I can provide. They were; Daniel, Brea, Jessie, Jem, Jessica, and Tyesha.Daniel: Daniel informed me that he would send an email to the parts guy Cyrus about the availability of TCA35893202 and he would call me back. That was early May and I never heard from him. Brea: She was generally pleasant but couldn’t help me any. She told me the tech would have to call the parts department to see if the correct compressor was available. (The tech did call and was told that the correct compressor was on backorder.) Jessie: Jessie appeared to be helpful and told me that he/she was going to send an email to Cyrus as well to see if the part was truly back-ordered. If it was, he/she could issue a replacement refrigerator (Which surprised me and I did not ask for.) He/she said I would get a phone call later… I did not, again. Jem: I’m not sure if I have the name right but she basically hung up on me and sent me back to the 1st tier people. They put me back through to the supervisors and I got Jessica. Jessica: I wasn’t particularly pleasant with Jessica as I was beyond frustration at this point. She responded by being extremely unhelpful and refused to walk through the notes of the previous 7 or 8 calls I had made. I told her what Jessie had said earlier about the replacement but she told me there was no Jessie in her office. She ended up telling me that TCA35893202 was NOT back-ordered and it was available but the tech had to order it. (The tech did call again to order it and was told that the part was still back-ordered.) I feel that I was blatantly lied to.Jessie: Imagine my surprise when I in fact got Jessie again despite Jessica telling me there was no Jessie. This time Jessie offered me the 20% off a replacement refrigerator. I told her that was not satisfactory, nor was the waiting until July for the part and that I could not produce a 6 year old receipt. She put me on hold… for a really long time until… Tyesha picked up the line and I got to re-explain everything to her. Tyesha: She just continually reiterated my 3 unsatisfactory options and told me there was nothing she could do and my only recourse was to write you a letter. So here I am. Should this situation not be remedied by my Option 2 listed above or a better idea you come up with yourself I will never be purchasing any LG product again. I will also never recommend an LG product to any family or friends. Although they are not particularly effective against your bottom line, these are my only options for recourse and I will pursue them endlessly. Thank you. Mark **

Purchased a LG French Door Refrigerator less than 2 years ago. Started to notice freezer was not keeping things frozen. Call LG, do the diagnostic where you hold the phone up to the appliance (crazy and doubt it works). They agree to send a tech. Wait a week to get on the schedule. Tech from Mr. Appliance comes out and says compressor, coil and evaporator are bad. We need to turn it off and wait for parts. Parts take another 2 weeks. Tech was here today and replaced all three parts. It took him 3 hours. When he went to start it up, no go. Turns out the heater in the evaporator is bad and blew out the main board. So now both need to be replace. Spent an hour on the phone with LG. First level is outsourced overseas and customer service reps do not speak good English. They follow a script. Begged to talk to a supervisor. Waited 30 minutes for supervisor to take the call. Spoke to Neil and Willie and they did nothing. Told us they couldnt escalate higher. As long as they deem the appliance repairable we have to wait for the new parts to be delivered and then schedule another tech visit by Mr. Appliance. Absolutely NO customer service. They could care less that we have been without a refrigerator for over 3 weeks, 2 days from Thanksgiving. Its very disappointing to hear them say Life is Good and we dont want you to be inconvenienced while on hold. And then when you speak to someone, you get zero assistance or customer service. We will NEVER buy another LG product. We bought a lemon which I get sometimes happens. But the reason we wont buy from LG again is their complete lack of customer service. Totally disappointed in how we were treated.

Washing machine self-destructed after 1 year 8 months. My washing machine destroyed itself while on the spin cycle, ruining the washing machine and damaging the adjacent walls of the laundry room. It has been two months, with weekly follow-ups to LG and no progress toward even looking at the machine. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, not a warranty issue. I would strongly discourage purchasing an LG washing machine. I replaced the machine with a Samsung which has performed well.

I apologize for the wordiness of this, but our situation has been going on
I apologize for the wordiness of this, but our situation has been going on for a long time. If I pay $800.00 for a product, and that product fails, I expect a refund. With LG, it doesnt work this way, apparently. I am so sorry I ever bought an LG dryer. I have a dryer at a rental that is over 23 years old. Not a problem; works like a charm. All I want now is a simple dryer with two buttons: on and off. No songs, no flashing lights. We purchased our LG dryer (washer and fridge too!) in June 2014. All three were delivered July 14, 2014. On November 21, 2014, the dryer stopped working. By that I mean that when you pressed the button to run a cycle, it sat there blinking at you and the drum did not turn. Hence begins the ongoing nightmare of 1) trying to speak with an actual customer service rep and 2) scheduling a service tech to come and fix it.On November 28th, an LG authorized tech came out. He couldnt fix the dryer and needed to order a part. Being a Friday, the part was not ordered until December 1st. December 17th, almost a full month since our dryer stopped working, the tech came out to fix the dryer. After spending two hours, he turned it on and it gave us the same symptoms. The tech then remarks, Hm. Looks like the installation did not account for propane. You need a propane conversion. Really? They tell us now? Why not during the initial installation? Why not the first time the tech came out? And this has to be at our expense of course. We are now heading into the holiday season. Family coming to visit. No dryer. We have by now spent gas money, our time, extra planning on when we can drive a load of wet clothes eight miles into town, and scrounged around for cash for the dryer loads. We paid the LG authorized tech over $200 to convert to propane. He did that conversion January 13, 2015. Two weeks later, on January 27th, the dryer failed again with the same symptoms as November 21st. My husband and I by now have spent hundreds of hours on the phone with LG and with Home Depot. It was around this time that we decided we wanted a refund. On one occasion, I asked for a manager (I was getting tired of repeating my story), and twice got cut off. This in one day. I called the tech company myself to schedule a repair. They know who we are by now and I asked them to please escalate! February 2, 2015: The tech comes out and cant fix it. It needs yet another part! We are furious and frustrated and tired of having to reschedule our lives around laundry trips. If Home Depot cannot sell a product for which the manufacturer stands by, then why do they sell it? February 4th. The Home Depot person I have been speaking with finally got me a phone number and a real person at LG. (My notes have at least six different phone numbers.) The LG rep told me she would be sending me an email to which I could upload my service call receipts, and my proof of purchase (they dont have this?). Again, I am spending my time running around for something I paid for. (Had to print it, shrink it, scan it, and make sure it did not exceed the MB limit imposed on me. Of course it did the first time I tried.) This makes no sense. This is not customer service. The woman whose name and number at LG I now covet, said I would receive a confirmation email in 24 hours. I did not. She also said I would receive a decision on my request for a refund in 72 hours. I did not. February 10: I finally gave in and called her back (like I said, hundreds of hours lost on the phone, waiting on hold, pressing buttons, getting disconnected), and my request for a refund was rejected. I have to have one more tech visit (which is currently scheduled for February 16), and then resubmit everything all over again. This is a nightmare!

The knobs on the LG gas range will turn on just by reaching over the stove
The knobs on the LG gas range will turn on just by reaching over the stove to get something and turning to walk away. They turn past lite and fill your house with gas. You barely touch them and they do this. This is very dangerous. I have come home 3 times in the last year with my house filled with gas. My elderly mother took a pan off the stove to wash it and then went to the living room not noticing the smell. I came home and nearly passed out when I walked to the kitchen. I see that there are many reviews with this same issue. I have called LG and they keep trying to send a technician. I have explained its not a technical issue. Is a very poor design. They will have their safety team call me within 24 hours. I think something needs done about this. People are or probably already have been killed. They certainly have to be aware of this with all the reviews I have read. Next step is to go to the News and do a demonstration so people will be aware and not purchase from this company. Like I said it has happened 3 times in my home and its dangerous. Please do not buy LG gas ranges.

I purchased an LG washer and dryer from Home Depot about 18 months ago. I got their top model at the time top loading. After about 15 months I noticed the paint around bleach dispenser beginning to bubble up and so I removed the blue tray only to find machine has been rusting. I thought perhaps its because when pouring bleach we sometimes get it between the plastic and machine. Then when looking under, I noticed the entire machine has massive rust buildup to where its flaking and falling on the plastic edges of the drum. After contacting LG about this issue they pretty much said Im out of warranty and oh well. At the rate of the rust Im guessing another 2 years and metal clips / screws will pretty much break during a spin cycle and nothing I can do about it except share this troubling issue to save someone else thousands of dollars on LGs poorly protected product against moisture. That 10 year warranty sticker is such a gimmick since these wont make it past 5 years with the crazy rust buildup. I did some research online and found that many other users have gone through the same frustration. I hope all the negative reviews will get LG to better insulate metal surfaces in their machines. Even my car comes with 10 year 100,000 mile warranty against rust yet washer has no rust warranty?

The refrigerator still would not cool. The service technician returned on May 16th and May 18th. The refrigerator NEVER cooled. Two more service appointments were scheduled. The service technician never showed for those last two appointments. Finally, on May 28, 2017, LG USA agreed to refund part of the purchase price. I have still not received the agreed upon amount. The water and ice will start running without being able to turn them off to where you have to unplug the fridge till a repair person comes to replace the part. Both times I had to call LG for service. Both times their technician did not show up on scheduled day. I wasted 2 days off work with not getting any help from LG. I love the configuration of this refrigerator, especially the middle drawer. Beyond that, this expensive refrigerator has been a major disappointment due to multiple and repeated problems, including a loud noise when the compressor is running, and ice build-up in both the refrigerator and the freezer sections, resulting in three service calls for each issue.

LG is more reliable and durable than many other brands and offers me what I want. It has met my initial expectations but Im hoping for more in the future in all honesty. I like that there are premium capabilities that allow me to have different set ups and it makes me excited to be able to use the refrigerator everyday. I would want the refrigerator to be used well and have an ice machine that is quality. Some other brands may be a little bit more aesthetically attractive though in a sense.

Finally after the 7th visit, the wire in the microwave started on fire. After many phone calls, the matter has now gone to the resolutions department at LG repair, and I am still waiting for approval of a replacement microwave. This could have started my house on fire. We called LG directly because our 2-year-old French door refrigerator was icing up in the back of our refrigerator. They diagnosed the problem and told us the evaporator fan needed replacing. Even though the fan was supposedly under warranty, we were still quoted a price of $358 for the service call. Our credit card was charged upon placing the appointment with their service department, but nobody ever called or showed at the appointed time. We called LG customer service the next business day only to be placed on hold and after being told they were checking it out, they never came back on the line!!! Will never buy another LG product. We purchased a new LG refrigerator in April of 2017. This replaced one we had for over 20 years and was looking forward to getting a new updated fancy one. After about a year our refrigerator quit working and a repair person was sent out to fix. They repaired and after a month it quit working again. They returned and replaced the compressor. Were told having problems with new compressors but yet they replace with same bad compressors. My friend has had the same issues and they came and replaced her compressor and all the internal parts, will see how long that last. Fast forward January 16, 2020. Woke up this morning and water leaking and our refrigerator is not working. Once again all our food in freezer and fridge are no good. So disappointed in this product, it has never kept our food cold like it should. You try calling customer service and they answer Lifes Good (not) and you get robot CLARK, who says you can talk to him like a person. Last thing you want to hear when you are so angry. They never let you talk to a real person but instead they send you a text for you to complete and to have someone call you back in a day. Will see how long it takes for them to call. So frustrating! I have a nine year old type 1 diabetic who needs her medication refrigerated. So now have to once again live out of an ice chest. I have told my family never to buy LG. Life has not been good with LG.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

Neither of their solutions worked, the dishwasher will still not operate properly and they have yet to refund my money. Instead, they provided me with a credit towards a new one of approx. $450. This in effect will cost me, when you account for the new machine, delivery, installation, taxes approx $1135. I advised them I would accept their offer IF they returned the approx. $400 I paid for repairs the failed to make. In spite of 2 emails, I have not received a response (approx. 20 businessdays).

I purchased an LG refrigerator in March 2015 (Model#LFXS29766S). After about 2.5 years of use, the compressor malfunctioned and it took me over a month of countless calls and emails to finally get LG to service the fridge in December 2017. I advised LG that my parents are elderly and did not have another option to store their food. LG customer representatives showed no empathy or sympathy regarding our situation. They ruined our thanksgiving and we had to throw hundreds of dollars worth of food out. Fast forward to today, 8/25/2020, and the same issue has occurred again and the refrigerator is no longer functioning (will not keep cool and everything has melted in the freezer). A $2800 appliance should not break down twice in 5 years! I am aware that there is a known issue with the LG linear compressor and of a class action lawsuit. I called LG customer service for assistance and was appalled at the unprofessional behavior. The representative had an accent and when I asked him to repeat what he said because I didn’t understand, he said, “you didn’t understand me because you’re not listening”. The rep then asked me to hold but as it had been a while I asked if he was still on the line to which he responded, “I told you to hold so just hold”. The rep then gave me a phone number for a service center but never explained anything or why he was doing so. He then proceeded to hang up without asking me if I had any questions or needed additional assistance. I advised him that I had additional questions and when I inquired about the warranty the rep advised me that the labor is not covered but the part might be but we would need to have a certified LG technician check the appliance first. I’ve worked in the healthcare field for over 20 years and spent a majority of that time in patient facing and customer service roles and would never expect this of any company- it is completely unacceptable! LG’s complete disregard for its customers is not surprising given my first interaction with their company and now hopefully for the last time. I will be contacting a lawyer, spreading awareness on social media platforms, and will reach out to my local news channel to share thus horrendous experience.

I purchased the LG Dishwasher LSDS4821ST on Nov 30, 2008. I have only used it 3 times since 2008. The dishwasher left too much water in the machine after drying the dishes. The dishes also were not clean nor were they dry. I did call for service during the warranty period only to be told that the left over water is normal, and that the dishes were air dried with a new lg system. The few times that I used the washer I had to clean the excess water at the bottom of the inside of the machine. The dishes were also wet. The last straw was when the dish soap dispenser would not open. That was in 2013, and I have not used it since. The LG customer service gives you the run-around. I have an LG washer and dryer with plenty of problems. Do not buy LG anything, not even a phone.

This microwave caught fire while steaming vegetables. We heard a snapping sound followed by the entire inside space bursting into flames. I was able to extinguish with no damage except to the microwave. Since the unit was only 10 months old and still under warranty I called LG. Their response was immediate and a technician (tech) was at our home the next day. Upon arrival and inspection he made a few comments: (1) Why did we clean up the damages inside the unit? (2) What happened? (3) I need to call home office to talk to inside Tech.He made the call as we stood there and a Tech on the phone asked him to send a video from his phone with instructions from the Tech on the phone. Once completed he hung up and said this unit is fried and needs to be replaced but two Techs from home office had to review. Ten minutes later they called back saying it was customer error due to GREASE FIRE and they would not repair or replace. My only choice was to escalate the claim to LG management which I did. After sending them store receipt I asked for the denial and reason in writing which they absolutely refused to give me. The next day they emailed me to say they set up a Return Authorization Review and I should hear from them within 2-3 business days. It is now five business days with no response!I went to the store where I purchased the LG microwave, gave them my notes and asked for help. Once reviewed by store and they seen what LG was putting me through they said they would replace the unit. Would you buy another LG product after reading about this runaround? I would not but I certainly will purchase again from Best Buy as they stood behind a product that the manufacturer, LG in this case, would not.

I purchased a LG Premium Repair and Protect Service Plan on 6/14/17 ($385) because of a problem with my washer. He replaced the part but the machine wasnt right. He tried removing & replacing the part but that didnt help. He said he contacted LG support service for contract techs and they gave him several thing to try but none worked. The tech made a total of 5 visits before deciding to replace the bearing assembly and the tub. It has now been three months!, 90 days!!, 1/4 of a year!!!, and nothing. Ive called LG numerous times and get the run-a-round. They have to wait on a report from one department or another, they need to check on the parts order, they need to contact the service tech, they tell me the tech will be contacting me shortly, and on and on and... Like Nate of Duarte, CA wrote on March 26, 2014 -- by end of 2006 purchased LG LFC25760ST. Had the same issue with the light fixture housing in the refrigerator compartment header, not once but twice. My photos look exactly like his. Last service they replaced the entire electronic board and installed a new light fixture housing also recommending use of lower watt (40 watt) bulbs. This occurred Aug. 2012. At the time I stated I was concerned about possible impact whatever lies above the refrigerator header (refrigerant tubes?). It appeared the plastic header was melted completely through in at least 3 locations. Now I have refrigerant smell in the refrigerator. Service call is tomorrow, so well see what happens but suspect cost to address what I believe are issues with the refrigerant system may be so exorbitant that it may be more prudent to replace after a bit over 8 years than to repair. I dont understand how this fire hazard can be so prevalent for so many years and nothing appears to have been done. If there is a class action suit, I will gladly participate, as this refrigerator is in my opinion, a fire hazard at the very least.

I bought an LG refrigerator in Sept 2016, it failed April 2019. I have been without a working refrigerator for over 4 months. They have attempted to replace the compressor 3 times, 2 of these times they also replaced the motherboard, each time its failed. LG told me that they would attempt to repair 3 times before a replacement would be issued. On the day of the 3rd failed attempt I called and was told that they were submitting the approval for a replacement. After not hearing back I called and Im now being told that each of those repairs fell into the same type of repair and that they will be sending a technician to try something different. Not until today was I offered a $150 credit towards a mini- refrigerator. Im being given quite the run-around, a different story each time I call it seems and Im at the end of my rope. How much time am I supposed to take off work to meet repair men, will they attempt this new type of repair 3 more times, then will they try something new? How long will this go on - a year? A refrigerator should last longer than 2.5 years, PERIOD. They are aware they are selling defective refrigerators. There are class action lawsuits about these compressors. Enough is enough. Send me a new unit or give me my money back.

The offered a different refrigerator that did not meet the size specifications that were most important to me. When I stated the three specs that were mandatory to me - they basically said - This is what we can offer and thats it. They did not offer any other options. POOR customer service and even though they upgraded with one option that I did NOT want (wi-fi) the size is smaller, the product is disappointing. The refrigerator will either freeze produce or it turns to rubber. It does not maintain the quality of refrigerated products. I will not order another LG product as a result. So far there have been two fires as a result of this issue. One caused damage to their LG range hood/microwave and upper cabinets. This stove is dangerous and they should not be allowed to sell it. We bought our LG side by side, door in door fridge in June 2017. In less than 2 years, our icemaker quit working. We went through all the troubleshooting suggestions and nothing worked. We spent $95 to have someone come out to diagnose the problem... only to diagnose it incorrectly which cost an additional $180. Another service person was sent out and called into the LG center resulting in diagnosis of the heater element in freezer door not working causing the ice maker to not produce ice. We have been told that the entire freezer door has to be replaced which would be extremely costly. We already spent over $1500 on the fridge and to now in 2 years have to put hundreds of dollars into it for repair. Im outraged and disappointed in the quality of this product.

It is an LG REFRIGERATOR. It is double door and bottom freezer. The right door when opening, the inside of the door that is plastic has come away from the door. The repairman has been there twice to fix. It has broke again. I am hoping for my parents sake that the repairman that is coming again will say that we should get a replacement fridge. We are very frustrated in this LG fridge.

LG Washer WT1101CW - Terrible washing machine. If you buy this washer, dont expect to wash a small, medium, or large size load in a reasonable time period. Constant uE errors, tub fills with more water to try to adjust, etc. Or, we just get the uE error and have to run down the stairs to rearrange the clothes. Regardless of how careful we are with loading/arranging the wash, what type of wash we put in, etc, we have constant uE errors. It can take up to 4 hours to do one medium size load. Ive since read that the control panel may be faulty? We have a tech coming this week. There may be a software update needed? Who knew? (How would I know this! I didnt get any kind of message saying that the software was out of date! ) This will be the 4th tech visit this year. In addition, just for ** and giggles, we decided to do a tub clean cycle. You guessed it. uE error! So, obviously, if the washer cant even function to do a tub clean with JUST WATER in it, theres something wrong with this product. Dont buy it. You WILL be sorry. Im sorry that I cant give zero stars in this review!

Purchased from Sears, Kenmore Elite which we found out was made by LG. In three years had repairs on freezer door 4 times, latest last week, 7-2-13 it broke again on Sat. Will never buy another one or any other product made by LG. You would think an 1800 dollar unit would be made better.

Bought my house 1.5 ago and brand new appliances came with it including the LG refrigerator. Don’t get me wrong I LOVED this fridge at first, however December 31st my compressor went out. Called LG the next day they said a tech in the area would call us to schedule a diagnosis. Took the techs three days to call us. I won’t hold that against them because it was the holidays however the earliest they will be out here to diagnose my fridge is the 14th. That is TWO weeks without a working fridge and this is just to diagnose it.When I called customer service again I found out the technician may not even have the part to fix the fridge when he is here!!! To top it off local people where I live will not touch LG products because of a lawsuit going on with the compressor and the hassle it is to be paid and receive the parts from LG. Even if I could find a local appliance tech to fix it it will still take LG a week to provide them with a letter of approval! So it puts me right back at two weeks or possibly more without any means to cool my perishable items unless I buy a ton of coolers and ice or a mini fridge which still would not fit all of my items. If I could give LG less than a star I would. Poor products and absolutely no care for their customers. The next appliances I buy will be anything but an LG.

We recently went through 4 months of renovations. What a nightmare and the contractor is not coming back to do the final touchups. We had our kitchen completely gutted and when it came to appliances we purchased and LG range and fridge. Both are working just fine. It takes a bit of getting used to when going from appliances from the 70s and 80s to new. We have had no problems with the fridge but then we have only been using it for a couple of months. The stove works fine. I thought getting a new stove would mean that I would wait a shorter time for a pot of water to boil but no. We are having a problem with the smell of gas every time we use the range. Whether it be the oven or burners, we smell gas. There is conflicting information on the internet as to whether this is normal. We shouldnt be able to smell gas in other rooms other than the kitchen but we do when we use the range. The other issue which is major is the knobs for turning on the burners. This is a complete safety hazard and how this design passed any safety inspections before selling to the public is beyond me. I have singed my long hair twice, once reaching into a cupboard near the stove and another cleaning by the stove just because I barely leaned against the range. The knobs turn by barely brushing up against them and instantly the burner is on before you can get out of the way. If my children were still small I would not keep this stove. It is a accident just waiting to happen. I find this design terribly irresponsible for a company to have and this range should be recalled. I also find the venting of the oven across the cook top not the best design also. When I use the oven and the burners at the same time too much heat is being created and at one time our range hood fan went off on its own and didnt shut off until the heat had dissipated. At the same time the oven vent causes the pots on the stove to heat up even more than from being on the burners and the handles can not be handled unless using a pot holder. It bakes well. We find we use the convection more because on bake food isnt crisping up as much as we would like. I guess thats the difference between electric heat and gas. Companies need to stand by their products better. Our old fridge of 25 years is still going on strong and has been relegated to the car port as an overflow fridge. I am certain that these new appliances of today would never last that long. If the new LG fridge goes we might have to bring the old one back inside. Oh and our 2 year old Samsung T.V. just completely died. What quality!!!

LG WaveForce TrueBalance anti-vibration system Model #WT5101HV, Product Cod
LG WaveForce TrueBalance anti-vibration system Model #WT5101HV, Product Code #T1309ADFH6.ASSEEUS. Bought washer & matching dryer 11/27/2010 with 5 year extra warranty on both. Three years of hell! Large-capacity washer that simply WILL NOT BALANCE, but will instead of sounding a buzzer that it is OFF BALANCE, will just restart the countdown timer as it REFILLS with WATER and starts the rinse cycle... again and again and again. Found out the hard way one time 5 hours later that it was still restarting the rinse cycle because it could not balance itself, yet it had never once sounded with the buzzer. Yes, the buzzer can work on occasion, but the load has to be very off balance. When I first got it and the countdown timer reset and the rinse cycle started again, I mistook that it was just part of the machines normal operation, but there is nothing normal for the waste of water and the amount of time I spend standing in front of the washer trying to catch it before it resets AND the amount of time I spend rearranging the load to try and balance it in the tub to the machine balance sensors satisfaction... up to 30 minutes at a time moving heavy wet clothes around or removing them by hand to place one on this side and one on that side... endless aggravation. Even if I use the lowest spin and step it up to the highest spin, it will not balance. If you dont use the highest spin cycle (or step up from low to high) it takes nearly 2 hours to dry clothes on the 2nd highest spin cycle. The factory recall notice that I received was merely an insult to the problem because it does not address the ACTUAL issue -- which is that it will not balance. Instead, the recall wants to tell me not to wash raincoats or such nonsensical how to or not to use the machine properly. It will not balance with: ONLY pants or ONLY shirts or ONLY towels or ONLY pajamas. The bigger the load in this large-capacity washer, the bigger the balance problem. If I wash a tiny load like socks, it might actually finish the load all by itself once-in-a-while, but why have a LARGE-CAPACITY washer if it is useless? If you mix shirts and pants, be prepared to untangle the biggest wet knots you have ever seen! I stopped using the low-water features a long time ago when my clothes did not clean properly, so I now use the Bulky/Bedding setting, which fills the tub with water. When I used the low-water features, the balance problem was exactly the same. I always keep the door open when not in use, so it does not stink itself up and requires special tub cleaning. I have only had to clean it once. Since the normal way this company has responded to the myriad of consumer complaints is even more impossible than dealing with the product, I see no reason to play their game of endless service calls when NO SERVICEMAN CAN POSSIBLY REDESIGN A FLAWED APPLIANCE. I have not heard of any service call fixing this models problems. I bought a 5-year service policy with 2 years left. This machines design is a lemon, so where is the companys restitution to us consumers? I dont want the upgraded software because it takes away wash settings and spin RPMs that I bought in the first place. A recall that is stone-cold useless and removes some original wash (gentle) and spin (extra high) variations is their restitution, so consumer take heed.

The power button on the washer will not turn on, you have to unplug it then plug it back in after 2 minutes, it will then run one cycle. Called the 1-888 number for Canada helpline to run a diagnostic test with the phone tones using the washer. I honestly believe this is a trick to get you to call and have them try to sell you more warranty. They were no help whatsoever, the information on YouTube is much better and in the end, I ordered the part and repaired it myself for 1/4 the cost. There should have not been any costs for a 2-year old washing machine used by a family of 4! Dont BUY LG WASHERS.
