Bought this piece of trash 2 years ago at Best Buy. Highly recommended, well motor under warranty made grinding noise. Tech comes out, said no its the inverter drive and cost $224.00 including parts to fix. Ok we pay. 2 months and 1 week later the inside tub (bottom round agitator) starts to rise so its floating with the clothes. Called LG. They said another $224.00 to come out minimum cost with 60 day warranty. Why would I spend more money on this rip-off.

I bought an LG Washing Machine in 2012. Its a top loader. The bleach compartment started rusting out in 2013. I dont even use very much bleach. I contacted LG last November and they told me I had to have a repair person validate it. It cost me an additional $105.99! Still nothing done. I sent proof of purchase and pictures. Still nothing done. I would not recommend LG to ANYONE! The matching dryer is not working right, doesnt completely dry the clothes. Please save yourself some time and money and do not purchase an LG.

Love my front loading machine. The red color is beautiful too. It has everything you could wish for, lots of cycles, options to change temp, and even delay wash start time. The wash finished chime is pleasant and the volume can be adjusted. It is efficient and quiet. I love how much water is spun out of the clothes, reducing time in the dryer. I also bought the pedestal drawer for the bottom which helps save the back from discomfort when loading/unloading. I have had my machine since 2007 and have only had to replace the water pump in 2019. I highly recommend this machine, it is worth the money.

My husband and I purchased an LG French Door refrigerator in 2016. This past week (June 2019) freezer started to stop working so we moved our food items to a smaller refrigerator in our garage. We woke up 2 days later to find the whole refrigerator not working. We contacted customer service but they did not call us back so we found a service tech in our area who said the compressor is broken and it would be a major cost to repair. We are still not able to get any help from LG about this matter. Looking to see if other people have had the same problem.

Had an issue with the ice maker so I had LG tech replace it for $243.00 but ice maker still did not work properly so another LG tech came and proceeded to break the ice gear in the freezer compartment while trying to fix it. He order parts to repair but the parts were wrong and he then told me parts were not available to repair. Refrigerator is 7 years old and after talking to executive customer service, they said its out of warranty so they are not responsible for keeping parts. I sent two letters to the President of LG USA with no response. The company has no customer service and a very poor business attitude. President does not respond to customers letters and customer service is so arrogant. The entire place should close down like Circuit City. I am personally going to tell at least ten people about my poor experience and hopefully they will tell ten and within a few years, LG will be gone. They are A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY THAT DOES NOT DESERVE TO DO BUSINESS IN THIS COUNTRY. BYE BYE LG. WITH YOUR ATTITUDE, YOU WILL BE GONE..

Kenmore and LG refrigerator have known compressors that fail way before the life of these appliances. I know because mine failed today. I talked to LG and Sears/Kenmore and neither cared. They each blamed the other. My refrigerator is only four years old and I paid over $3,000 for it. I know I am not alone. There is a class action lawsuit against LG for this same problem. I advise that everyone that has this problem join in. Don’t let these companies take advantage of us any longer.

We purchased an LG refrigerator (model: Lfx28968ST) about a year ago so it is a new appliance. It stopped cooling so we called LG customer service to have a technician come out with no resolution. This problem has persisted since April 9, and we have had 3 technicians come to try to fix the problem...all have failed. To make matters worst, the first technician scratched our wood floors pulling the refrigerator out so now there is damage to our floors. LG promised us that after the third attempt, they would replace the entire refrigerator unit for us. However, I spoke to them again today and they are trying to send out another technician... this will be the fourth attempt to fix it! The most recent technician that came out even called LG himself and recommended a brand new appliance as he felt this one could not be fixed! I spoke to a manager today who was very rude and basically informed me that I needed to provide more receipts and information and that this would be a long drawn out process because we are now claiming damages for our floors. She did not even apologize for the fact that we have been without a working refrigerator since the beginning of April (today is May 15, 2014) and had a rude attitude!! Not to mention all of our food spoiled, and we have not been able to buy groceries during this time coupled with the fact that our hardwood floors are now substantially scratched/damaged, and LG has broken their promise of replacing the refrigerator as they are insisting to send out more technicians and order more parts...and to top if off rude, and unhelpful customer service/management. I am not one to complain and have been very understanding up to this point. I will never ever buy another LG product EVER AGAIN! I cant believe a company like this is still in business!

I purchased an LG LRE30451 In 2006. No problems until recently. The stove would not turn off. You had to either be able to 1. Pull the electrical cord from the wall or 2. Turn off the circuit breaker to get it to turn off. At that time I was not aware of the recall on the stove. The next day, you would get burners that would not come on or you could not control the temperature. I found that there is a factory recall for these ranges for this very problem and that they are a fire hazard. I contacted LG and they told me that it would be 3 to 5 business days for them to get back to me. (Meanwhile you can not to use the stove because of the fire hazard). On the 5th day afternoon, still no contact so I called them. I was told that there were no notes in my file and that they would get someone on it immediately. After numerous calls back and forth I was told they made me an appointment for repair. This was 2 weeks out. They did not even check to see if I was available or not and could not give me time. I asked for the number for the repair facility they made the appointment with and after several calls back to LG they gave me a good number. This repair facility A & E Factory Service stated that they only do service in my area on Thursday and Friday. Someone had to be home from 8 am to 5 pm. Do they not realize people have to work? When I told them no one would be home, they suggested I contact LG to get someone else. Thus yet another call to LG. I was told they could do nothing else that this was the only repair facility in my area. I told them this was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to a supervisor.Well they put a guy named Cortell on the phone. This was as useless as the last bunch I spoke with. He proceeds to tell me that basically it was not his problem I was not available and that they could start the whole process over looking for a different repair facility. Now, I was already told, This was the only repair facility in my area. When I advised him of what I was told prior he stated that I was told incorrect information. I asked how long it would take and he said just to locate a facility was another 3 to 5 days. You’re kidding right. Remember, cannot use the stove due to the fire hazard... When I asked him if LG was going to pay for my husband and I to eat out he stated no. When I told him I would continue to use the stove and if my house burns down it will be LGs problem. He then told me if I continued to use the stove knowing it is defective, it would be on me not them. Needless to say, they expect me to go approximately 1 month without cooking! When I told him they could just replace the stove he stated, We are not going to do that, your model is from 2006. Now just like other people stated you normally have a stove that lasts 20 years before it goes bad. LG products do not last and when you do have an issue their customer service is horrible and they do not care! I am still waiting for the second round to start.

LG is by far the worst refrigerator you can buy. It failed in 4 years due to a badly designed linear compressor. LG didnt ship the correct parts. They outsource it all to A and E appliance who is also an incompetent company whos scheduling is so bad its been two weeks and I still dont have a working refrigerator. They dont care at all. I cant even express the hoops I have jumped through and hours of talking on the phone that I have had to endure. I was holding on out of principle but the refrigerator is now heading to the landfill. I cant waste my time anymore. Not only will I be actively discouraging anyone to purchase a LG refrigerator but also doing any form of business with the company.

Purchased LFC24786ST from Lowes. Lowes staff was very good but LG customer service was terrible. The fridge compressor emits a high frequency noise that is horrible. LG denies they have ever had any problems with this. The delivery company who brought the replacement model told us he just replaced the same fridge for another customer because of the same problem. I will not purchase another LG product and recommend others go to another brand with another compressor.

My washer is just over 3 yrs old and the bearing went. When I called LG to explain the problem they told me that the parts were under warranty but the service call wasnt. So they would charge me for a service call and the labor!! And then they went on saying and if it is something else other than the motor/bearing or parts that are covered then we will be responsible for the parts. All that is wrong is a bearing went and it should be covered a 100%. She goes on saying if you read page in your owners manual it goes over what is covered and that we dont cover service calls or labor. She was very rude and no help at all. I feel a washer should last longer than 3 yrs. I take exceptionally good care of my things and LG just falls apart. I am now looking into other companies that do repairs on appliances cause after reading other peoples horror stories I dont want any of their rude, unprofessional, crappy employers stepping foot into my home. My luck their employees would disconnect something and flood my house!

We noticed LG refrigerator was stopped cooling and freezing on October 10th. We were told the option would be to repair or refund the cost of the LG refrigerator when we initially spoke with customer service on 10/10/2021, but a service technician would have to come and evaluate refrigerator first. On Oct 25th, a LG refrigerator repair was completed. We were offered a $200 spoiled food compensation which we have not received to date. On Nov 12th, the LG refrigerator stopped cooling and freezing: keep on mind it was repaired 2 1/2 weeks earlier. So, I called LG and requested a refund of the cost to replace it with a new refrigerator. Obviously the refrigerator and/or LG part is defective. The LG rep told me LG would not authorize a refund until another repair was done per LG PROCESS. I asked to speak with a LG supervisor who offered me a 15% rebate towards purchase of another LG refrigerator.I told the LG rep that was absolutely unacceptable, and asked to speak with whoever would authorize a full refund. The LG rep said that her department does not authorize refunds, and could not proceed with my request per LG process. The only option i was given is to set up a second repair appointment on Nov 18th with same service company A&E. I was then told by the LG rep that after the second service appointment, if LG refrigerator is still not working, then they would be able to proceed with a refund request. I again asked for a second spoiled food compensation, and was told this was only offered once a year. Therefore, we would not be compensated for second set of spoiled food. I went ahead and set up second service appointment on Nov 18th, while I figure out our next step. I spoke with A&E to try to get a sooner appointment, and queried whether they were using a new or refurbished part for my repair. I was told the part is ordered directly from LG to complete the service repair. So again, the defect is in the LG parts.

Called Tarheel Appliance and Repair and was quoted $70 for someone to come out plus the cost of repairing the microwave which was going to put the cost well over $100! Like everyone else - initially I loved this unit. Its still a good looking one with amazing features - if they actually work. But when you have a sudden and complete failure of your unit it changes your opinion. And when LG customer service and their third party service centres do not treat it with any sense of urgency or allow you the courtesy of a call back then you feel bad!My stainless steel french door unit hums and lights up, but cools nothing, with no air blowing. I had to throw out over $300 worth of food and weve been without a unit for 5 days now! I am currently trying to resolve this issue with the customer service at LG Canada. Thankfully its still under warranty, plus I bought an extended warranty from the BRICK which would cover me for up to 5 more years of parts and labour or a replacement! LG sent a third party service guy who did not show up, after blocking out my whole day, which forced me to take the whole day off work losing a whole days wages as a result!! LG was unsympathetic with canned responses, and did not care much! Huge disrespect for me and my time and family! After spending over $3500 on a fridge you expect better service! In fact one of the girls at customer service had the nerve to tell me I could be charged for the service if my complaint about the unit was false! Imagine that! My advice dont buy any expensive LG refrigerator. Heck! Keep away from LG all together! Its easier to deal with a $500 unit than deal with this nonsense on a high end unit!

Our story starts with a happy purchase of an LG Refrigerator (LGXS24623) at Home Depot in September 2018 that was supposed to arrive in about 6 weeks. It never got to us, we called Home Depot to inquire and they said, “Oh sorry, it’s lost, we’ll see what we can do, it will take another couple of weeks”. Long story short, we received our fancy new fridge. We connected, set it up and after about 4 hours we opened the door and it wasn’t cold. We changed the temperature a bit and waited a bit more, but nothing changed. It was warmer in the fridge than in the kitchen. Time to call LG… Long phone call, more waiting, nothing, fridge still warm. It was a useless service, they were not able to help. Called LG again in the morning, on Sunday. They booked a server technician for Thursday or Friday which meant 5 more days with no fridge. They also asked for some paperwork which we scanned and sent the same night. Thursday, I receive a voicemail from the technician that he has no paperwork from LG and he’s tentatively setting up a visit for Saturday afternoon. Called LG, had more discussions on the phone, they promised to give an answer in the same day… I did not hear from them again. On Friday I finally managed to get in touch with the technician, who promised to come Saturday between 3-5. He finally showed up at 5:45, I guess they are very busy fixing LG’s faulty fridges, to tell us the compressor is dead and left to order a new compressor. We will not be ordering from LG in the future, the fridge reviews are good, I cannot tell you anything about that since mine never worked, but the LG service is the worst you can find. They never saw a problem in letting a customer live without a fridge for weeks, one service agent had the audacity to tell us he grew up without a fridge… I wonder if this is in their protocol.

Sealed system on 18 month old LG refrigerator (LFXS30766D-01) failed. It was under warranty, but LG has been unable to find anyone in our area to service our refrigerator. It has been over 3 weeks now. They have passed the buck to someone else to try to find someone to service it. Nothing has been done. I have spent hours on the phone trying to find someone to fix it. One LG approved company came to diagnose the issue, charging $100 and stating they were unable to fix the problem and good luck finding someone - no-one around here wants to work on these refrigerators. We purchased a new French Door Counter Depth LG refrigerator when we moved into our new home in April 2016. Within the first year, it stopped cooling. I called LG and requested a new refrigerator. I also called Best Buy where we purchased the refrigerator to see if they could do anything. They said because we didn’t buy their extended warranty, they could do nothing. LG sent a technician but it took over a week to get repaired. We lost all refrigerated items. After the first repair, it failed again and took a while to get a repair technician. We lost another refrigerator full of food. Shortly, it failed again within the first year. I again requested a new refrigerator. LG sent two different technicians, who worked on the refrigerator for about 5 hours, taking everything apart. I did not have any confidence that it would not fail again. In August 2019, it failed again. I called LG, who gave me a list of authorized technicians. We could not deal with more repairs, failures or lost food so we purchased a new different refrigerator. I would never recommend an LG product after our experience.

I called the service company on Friday to confirm and they said there was nothing scheduled. Called LG and they set us up with another service provider; however, the earliest they could be out was Tuesday the 24th. We purchased our LG front loading washer and dryer in 2018. Like many of the reviews I have read we too are very disappointed in our purchase. I noticed that the clothes came out smelling within a few months of buying and I called LG DIRECTLY as it was under their warranty but was told that I need to run the tub clean more often. Done that for over a year and also washed clothes twice - not efficient as waste of energy. We do have an extended warranty and recently a tech came out so I let him open the washer door as I had just done a tub clean the night before - it smelled like a rat was dead in the drum. He too agreed he had never experienced that before! He poured half a bottle of my Bleach and ran the cycles again for almost 2 hours. Said the problem was fixed and if I experienced the smell again I needed to call them back thru Assurant the company who warranties the extended warranty. Did so and they declined to send a different tech saying that there was no mechanical problem. My clothes come out smelling and the even the dryer time has to be increased to double for the clothes to dry correctly. NEVER BUY THIS WASHER OR DRYER EVER. EVEN THE EXTENDED WARRANTY WILL OT HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM. I bought the pair from a very reputable store in the area but I believe that LG Is aware of the problems with the machines and do not want to take responsibility for the defects. I do hope this review deters anyone buying an LG front load direct drive washer and dryer.

I bought an LG dryer 4 years ago and have already had it repaired twice. Only once was it under warranty. Now, my dryer was making large clunky sounds as it turned. I called the repair company that was used under the warranty and they came out to look at it. They found the drum to be cracked at the weld. I looked that up on the internet and found several other complaints for the same problem. Well, I immediately called customer service and talked with them. The gentleman I talked to said that he would email me the paperwork so that I could make a claim. Well, the email came in without a claim number which I needed to attach the pictures and original purchase receipt. Well, the email came without a claim number. I emailed them back and was told I needed to call customer service. Two days later, I get a phone call telling me that they wouldn’t cover the cost of a new drum because I already had it replaced. Mind you, this was two weeks after the initial call. Well, needless to say, they refused to reimburse me because I didn’t want to wait for them to send one of their repair people out to look at it so they could charge me another $80.00 just to look at it on top of the $50.00 already paid to another company to find the problem. For supposed to be top-of-the-line appliances, they are nothing but problems. I would not recommend buying any LG appliances whatsoever.

Purchased a home with an LG fridge in it. We have had LG out 5-6 times in the last 13 months. The fridge continues to malfunction, and we have lost hundreds of dollars in spoiled food multiple times. Memorial Day weekend was the 4th. They are out again today, would like to refund or replace the fridge but cannot do so without a purchase receipt. The service technicians have been great, but we do not have the receipt and they cannot submit for reimbursement. Any suggestions here would be appreciated.

Updated on 05/27/2020: After telling me that there was a scheduling issue with my ticket, LG has disappeared again. I had to remind this fraudulent company that that schedule issue has been there now since April 11 2020. They make promise that someone will call me in 5 days to schedule to fix the machine and nothing happens. I have already spent too many calls and emails with this fraud company. I am also questioning how does consumeraffairs.com get paid? As the brand disappears on you after saying talk in private and there is no option for the consumer to ask why or post another comment. I plan to buy another washer /dryer if this fraud company is unable to fix my machine by Friday 5/29/2020 and I have already filed a ticket with BBB and plan to do that Virginia consumer affairs as well. Prior history is below.Updated on 05/20/2020: After telling me to communicate in private yesterday 5/20/2020, LG disappeared again? Buying more time? After officially waiting 41 days and unofficially over 70 days why does LG need more time? Constantly telling your customers to wait 5 days at a time to receive service calls, which is actually 11 calendar days is, to be polite, an unfair and corrupt strategy. Can someone help me get a return voucher so I dont have to wait anymore? LG has proven they cannot be trusted for service and I dont want to spend next 5 years with this cutting edge technology or the horrible service. Looking for someone higher who can make my Life Good as since I have bought LG my Life is Not good without a working washer. 12 days ago David a manager had promised he will personally make sure he calls me today. That didnt happen either. Please understand its not easy to be without a washer for a family with 4 kids.Original review: Bought LG Duet Steam True Balance Model WM3900HBA in December 2019. Was delivered and installed in my home in January 2020. From the beginning continued to give D1, D2 and other errors and within two months completely died of DE error on March 10, 2020. I had bought extra warranty and service from Best Buy but was told to contact LG since first year of service they provide.LG service is horrible. First ticket created with them, was on April 11 2020 they set up a repair appointment, no one showed up. I called back the lady said just wait and expect a call. Waited three weeks and called again several times on the 7th, ladies would not understand English, On April 8th finally got a hold of a rep, asked to be escalated to to a manager which was the infamous Louis. I asked him I need a return voucher. He said they require 3 weeks of suffering before they would return.Created a new ticket and asked me to wait 5 days. On the fifth day no call from LG. Called on Friday they said their 5 days will be on Tuesday (in 11 days). Today, the 11th day, 5/19/2020 called again and first lady hung up on me as I asked for a manager and didnt want to repeat what I have repeated 50 times. Second time got to a manager called David. He told me today to again wait. LG policy is that without any help for 3 weeks they would return. I keep on asking for a return voucher as suggested by Best Buy and LG won’t respond.

Purchased a LG top loading washer from Best Buy. Buying experience was positive with quick delivery and setup. After one year, washer has started leaking or rather pouring water out of the bottom of the washer. Additionally, the clothes do not get clean. I purchased the washer to handle larger loads like comforters, but it cant even clean a load of towels. I do not like that the washer decides how much water is needed to clean the clothes.

BUYER BEWARE. LG is the worst appliance brand to ever purchase. Please avoid getting anything from them, as I have had the worst experience with their customer service and major appliance I purchased from them. I purchased my refrigerator from hhgregg (which is now out of business, my luck) about 4 years ago. Maybe within a month of this huge investment, we started to have issues with the ice machine. We have had service call numerous times over the ice machine, which is quite shocking all for a simple standard feature on a refrigerator. Thank God we were still under warranty for the ice maker replacements, and even still after the repairs, we continued to have issues with the ice machine. After hhgregg went out of business, so did our warranty servicing. Then, about a month ago, the compressor went out. Thinking that LG would stand by their products and offer servicing, that was not the case. From reading past postings, they are completely aware of the problems with the compressor failing on this model. They had a technician come out who confirmed that the compressor went out and to fix would be $$$$ (costly), and offer a 90-day warranty. The technician recommended that it wasn’t worth it and to go with a completely different brand! I was in complete shock! However, I truly appreciated his honesty, since it confirms that LG dont stand behind their products. Such a huge waste of money and disappointment. So, unless you have money to throw away, stay away from LG refrigerators. MODEL: LFX31925ST.

We purchased an LG model WM2701HV from Sears in October 2010. Within 8 months, the lettering on the controls was wiping away just running down the front of the washer and yes, we get the gray spots on our whites. LG refuses to replace the control face and so we have homemade labels and Dalmatian whites. What a lousy company. Dont waste your time or money. LG does not back up their product.

Wave top load washer - When I first got the washing machine it bounced all over the place so the LG tech said it needed a level platform. Got it a level platform then the recall came since then. Every load gives a UE code and keeps putting water in and trying to run through so this is not efficient at all. Its using more water than the old machines. The bleach holder is rusting out but cant be fixed because LG says thats cosmetic. I believe thats poor quality when so many people have this problem almost 2000 for washer and dryer and I would truly love to get my old machines back, ugly, mismatched, but worked much better and my clothes didnt stink.

Inferior products. I purchased an LG fridge model GW-621RW on October 2003. Immediately after purchase I had an odor from the fridge when opening the door. The service person came out on two occasions to clean the drainage part. He said probably packing material was jammed somewhere inside the body of the fridge. For the past few months I have had a problem with water collecting on the inside bottom of the fridge. I have had a service man out twice to clear the drainage system at a large cost to me and it has still not fixed the problem. The cause, according to the service man, is that the drainage pan behind the back panel is rusting and the paint chips are causing the drainage system to block, in turn causing the water to drain into the inside of the fridge. I would like to know why would LG paint something that is concealed and be a problem down the road. Also, I do agree with the other reviews. I will never recommend an LG product; in fact, I will make a point of telling people of my experience and the terrible customer service when speaking with LG customer service people. Also, the plastic on the lower vegetable and fruit draws are broken off, which happened pretty soon after purchase. The fridge is still not working properly. Water is always over the kitchen floor. I will probably end up dumping it with all the other garbage.

I bought an LG stove @ Home Depot on November 2009. I could write a book to describe the delivery and write a full chapter dedicated to the balanced decision of the person that sold me the defective door on the fridge. Three years, and no problem with the stove, then about 7 months ago I started to have problems with the control panel… F1 appeared but because the building has been undergoing changes, I did not bother to say anything. An electrician confirmed that it had nothing to do with the malfunction. About 2 months ago, as the upgrading of the building had come to a completion, I spoke to LG and for 2 months, I have been lied to and deceived by the executives of this company - very ethical indeed. They want to give me a prorated $700.00 for me to buy another stove. Today, I find out, that the reason why they don’t want to come over to fix my stove, the reason is that this model LSB5682SW/01 was made in Canada and this model is now discontinued. In other words... (TOO BAD, TOO BAD… Revelation chapter 18) for me. That is while I was speaking to a representative. He assured me that the unit was “unrepairable”. I then asked him what F1 means. He said it meant “AN OVEN ISSUE”. Another Executive told my sister “that there is now a SAFETY issue” with the stove. What I mean is that they have conjured up for themselves a code of silence and mutated the truth. It is difficult when there is so much silence for so long - this makes it more unbearable. Now they want me to buy another LG stove. What they should do is refund me the money or fix the control panel - neither of these they want to oversee. Why are there not more videos uploaded to YouTube on this CURSED practice?? I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS WAS MADE IN CANADA.

I purchased a $1,200, top of the line LG, in September of 2009. November of 2011 the machine came up with an error code of 1E, which the manual states a water inlet valve. So the part was replaced. Guess what? That wasnt the issue, so I contacted LG, and they had me go over some troubleshooting over the phone with no luck. So they gave me appliance repair centers that only deal with LG. To make a long story short, after having 2 parts swapped out - one was for $91.00, the inlet valve was $54.00 and another $91.00 yet to be paid to the appliance repair guy. Oh and I forgot about the computer board (which only has a 5 year warranty) was replaced - I have a $1,200.00 dishwasher that does not work!LG called me to say that they will prorate it by giving me $676.00. After all that was put into it, that comes to $440.00 and I have to send mine back. Hmm. I told LG that this is unacceptable. Her answer, Well sir, its a man made product, so I laughed in which I replied, So if I purchase anything from LG and it craps out after 3 years, I am supposed to just accept that Oh well! Its man made? My fellow consumers out there, beware. Life is not good with LG.

We purchased this refrigerator less than 3 years ago at our local Home Depot store. We decided to upgrade our kitchen and splurge a little on a reputable, high end brand fridge - LG. After 6 months of owning this fridge, we have had nothing but issues. We have had it repaired at least 6 times. The main issues being: (1) it not staying cool/cold, making it inoperable and spoiling all of our food contents; (2) water leakage; and (3) ice not working. The first item has been the most common, the most frustrating and the most costly to us. We just recently went food shopping and the very next day, our fridge decided to stop being cold. All food is spoiling again. You could imagine the money that is lost and the predicament it puts our family of six children in. We are not picky people. If its a simple fix, we would gladly take care of it ourselves as to not burden anyone else. The repair service keeps fixing the same things and replacing similar/same parts. I must say I would not recommend an LG product to anyone and I would never purchase an LG ever again. They are pieces of junk, in our opinion. Another complaint about how cheaply made these things are, the side shelves and the middle sliding shelves keep falling off as they are poorly made and poorly designed. A total piece of junk. Very disappointed in this product. Very deceiving as it looks great sitting there in the store all nice and shiny, but internally its crap. To be perfectly honest, next time were just going to go with an inexpensive brand and if we get 3 years out of it before it breaks down, great, then well toss it. But I wont feel so bad because I wont be splurging money like I did on an overpriced piece of junk like LG.

Initially, the whole scenario was a nightmare for me. It is all good now except for the fact that the stainless steel is always streaky, no matter what I use or do. It is very frustrating. I have tried almost everything, including the wipes, vinegar & water and just water and cloths. If anyone has any ideas, help! I am thinking it may be a poor grade of stainless steel. We purchased all new appliances including a stainless LG Refrigerator (LSC22991ST/001) from Home Depot. The first year of use had a problem with the inside of the full back panel of the refrigerator being packed with ice behind the panel even though there was no error message on the display, thus not allowing water to flow with the defrost problems. Repair service was performed. A year later, the same thing happened with ice packed and bulging inward behind the back panel of the refrigerator with an error message dh f. LG basically said too bad, no warranty, none of the problem was covered by them. The repairman was called locally, who had done the first repair; however, he was no longer on LGs service list for the area because he refused to work with them due to low pay, problems with getting parts, etc. On April 16, 2018 he ordered the parts for the error message from LG. Meanwhile, we were out-of-town and came back to a refrigerator of food that had thawed and needed to be thrown out -- hundreds of dollars. The parts that had been ordered on April 16, 2018 came in a full 7 weeks later (almost 8) and were replaced on June 5, 2018. LG refuses to take any responsibility for this problem. Their attitude is terrible when it comes to customer service. The refrigerator that cost more than $2400 on sale has only been used 2 years and has had the two same problems. It is terrible that LG knows these problems will come up due to poor manufacturing and if the consumer doesnt buy the extended warranty it is obvious that they know they will make their money by charging for parts. The repairman indicated that there are lots of other customers with the same problems -- he repairs them and knows! Sick! Very upset, and there doesnt appear to be any concern from LG.

We should have known at the time that something was very wrong. So about 4 weeks ago the refrigerator died. We lost all of our food and had no back up at the time. The day it died I called LG customer service and they set me up with a company called A&E Factory Service. After a day A&E called me and said the soonest they could get a technician to my house was 2 weeks away!I complained enough to the point where I worked it down to a week (again no refrigerator).. A week of eating out goes by and the technician shows up for my service call. He troubleshoots the refrigerator and says the compressor is toast. He says he needs to order everything in since he doesnt keep anything on his truck. He schedules another appointment with me which is 3 WEEKS AWAY. So now Im looking at four weeks without a refrigerator. So after the 3 weeks the new technician shows up and replaces everything on the fridge (compressor, coil, and two other heater items?). 3 hours later he says, Were all set. give it a day or two and itll be all set. Well 2 days later its not all set. Still broken, still not cooling at all..I called LG again and demanded they send me a new refrigerator and was told that I needed to have a service technician back to the house to see if it really needs to be replaced or if they can fix the problem. IS THAT NOT WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE DURING THE FIRST TWO CALLS!!I have now been without a refrigerator for over 4 weeks. I have taken two days off from work, one for each visit, which has cost me a lot of income, and will now have to take at least an additional day off for a third visit. I have a family of five and we are continuing to either eat quick made meals or eating out which is costing a fortune. I am completely fed up at this point. Never will I purchase another LG product. Which is very unfortunate since I already have 2 LG tvs, 2 LG soundbars and an LG microwave.

Oven started smoking from back side close to the wall. Smelt and looked like it could be burning from inside the back of unit. Called LG on Oct 10th. LG sent repair company on Oct 19th, repair men said they had never seen anything like this before. It appeared that the underbelly of the stove had melted something that they could not repair and thought LG would end up replacing the unit. After several calls to LG and them promising to keep in touch by several departments from first call to report the issue to elevated with executive to liability am told the warranty had been voided due to us extinguishing the potential fire in our kitchen. Today is November 12th. Was promised another call on November 9th. Again no response on side of LG.

We recently purchased a LG fridge and have been happy with is so far. It is a top/bottom layout with the door in a door with the glass window. It is convenient to grab drinks and other often used items. It keeps everything very cool inside. We set it a few degrees lower to help keep the door items cool. The front items in the door average about 40 degrees while the inside is around 33-35. The Freezer section stays around 0 as desired so no issues there. We bought the extended warranty based on some reviews but are hoping to get a solid 10 years out of the fridge.

Now without a sales receipt, no warranty service. I know that they can tell when the unit was manufactured from the serial number but no receipt, no warranty. Ill never purchase another product from LG, no matter what it is. Its a shame, as I was going to upgrade to stainless after the new year.

I have a 2-year-old LG Dryer. Not long after I bought it, it started catching clothing articles on the dryer filter at the front of the door. My clothes are getting ruined. The dryer will twist all the clothes together and the piece of clothing that gets caught, will stretch out or rip. I have already replaced a filter that cost $30, thinking it was a defective filter (not warranted). I know LG is aware of the problem, because when I called the manufacturer, the salesman admitted that people were having that problem. I want a refund. I will have to buy a new dryer. By the way, one of the bars inside the drum fell off. Now, I will have to call a repair man, stay at home all day to wait for him to come look at it, order a part and then when it comes in, I will have to stay home all day to wait for him to come back and fix it. I am so sick of spending my energy on this dryer.

Model No. LFX31925ST/06 is the LG Refrigerator I have. This really sucks. If I had know this fact about LG not being able to replace filters for their refrigerator in a timely manner I would have never bought one. Like I said, Im spreading the news that LG cant replace your water filters.

I had to literally get the door off and side for two trying to get the splattering cleaned and still have not gotten the desired effect. The top of the range is another problem. Issue: The refrigerator (French door LFXS30766S) broke down on 7/4/2018, just couple days after two years warranty. Find out it’s “sealed system” issue and this is still covered by LG for five years. Called LG and reported the issue on 7/6/2018, they have created ticket and mentioned that they will find the technician and assign it. How many days since then? One month now. Technician is yet to come my home and look into issue. In between, I have called so many times to LG, each time their answer is standard, they are still trying to find the technician and escalating the ticket or creates new ticket, which is nothing but their excuse to tell customer to wait for 3-5 business days. I wonder why no technician wants to work with LG, whoever I talked to they either says they are two far away from my destination or they don’t work with LG. I have even asked LG if they can assign work order to “Sears home service” they are reliable and guarantee they will come, but LG says it is not possible for them to assign the work order to Sears. Why? No idea. After so many phone calls and many tickets where are we? Nowhere near the resolution. I wouldn’t recommend LG product anymore. Settlement that I am looking: LG assign reliable tech which I can count on or refund the money.

Called LG customer service, individual I was put in touch with spoke very poor english, would not or could not help, was told it was basically my problem because the warranty of 12 months had expired. After making numerous calls to try someone who works on LG (another problem in itself) I called back to LG customer service. This time I had an individual who spoke understandable english. When I explained my problem we started the same song & dance routine that I went through earlier. Finally he told me I would have to call their service tech. He gave me the # for a company in pa. (I live in ohio about 25 miles from the pa state line). I told him that they would not drive that far, but I called them & they said they dont service ohio.I now have a sears tech coming to look @ refrigerator next week. Absolutely fed up with LG customer service department & their products (entire kitchen is LG appliances). Will never purchase another LG product as long as I live. Gas knobs on my LG 30 freestanding gas convection range (model number LRG3097ST) have malfunctioned twice; each time, theyre causing gas leaks. When my husband called, we got 4 replacement knobs with the identical issue. The issue is the plastic inserts - they break and they continue to break. This is a known issue! In my humble opinion, there should have been a recall issued a while ago on this; and you dont have to be a NASA rocket scientist to figure that out. I looked at the complaints the customers have made against the LG line, and its been going strong since 2009. I am not sure what the Consumer Protection Board is waiting on. But Im hoping to at least use this venue to get the message out. The rest of the oven works wonderfully, but the gas leak from those knobs should be addressed, and if not by LG, at least by our own Consumer Protection Board.

I am only submitting review to hopefully help someone who may have gone thru the nightmare I have been thru the past 2 years since I purchased my LG True Balance Ha washing machine. The first year I had this machine I would get a UE Code on the machine occasionally! I would readjust clothes and finally get the machine to spin. It got worse and worse over the next year up until the point I would quit washing clothes and my husband would take over where he would use his level and make sure the tub was level so the clothes would spin. My washer is in the basement so he would get missing for awhile and I knew he was waiting on the washer to spin, because if you dont wait the machine would fill up and try to rebalance its load (what is smart about that). I have called the helpful customer service only to be told it would cost $90 for a service tech!My husband would get frustrated and I would take over and so it went! Today for the first time I washed 4 or 5 loads of clothes without 1 error! Actually it has gotten better over the last month. What did I do? I stopped using commercial liquid soap! I found a recipe on Pinterest. My theory is the soap gums up and throws the computer off. I hope this helps someone who felt as though they we going insane as I was. With all this said I will never buy another LG product as they do not stand behind their products or they would admit this washer is a piece of junk and recall all that was sold.

Wow! Before I bought the LG Model WT5101HW in Aug. 2010, I could not find bad reviews on this washing machine. I wish Id investigated further. It is just as noted in other reviews; not enough water in most cycles, not energy efficient (1:09 hr. cycle will take up to 1:55 hr.), water levels will sometimes leave clothes dry and still dirty. Machine has been recalled and fixed by service representative (which took three trips), constantly going UE and adding water, etc. There is no way to shorten a cycle except rinse and spin or spin only. I found the only thing that works reasonably well for cleaning is the Bulky/Bedding cycle. This seems to load the water based on level rather than the weight method. But it always fills it full, so I make sure the loads warrant the extra water used. I am considering biting the bullet on a different washing machine when the extended warranty expires in about ten months. I will NEVER purchase another LG product. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

The LG over-the-range microwave MODEL LMV1683ST caught on fire. This appliance was manufactured in December 2014 and I purchased it at Lowes in March 2015. On July 3, 2015 the unit started sparking and smoking and then flames started shooting inside the unit. 4 months old and LG thinks it might be repairable. I dont want that unit in my house. I have spend several hours cumulatively on the phone trying to get a new unit. The unit only cost $200, yet they have sent repair people to my home. The cost of the repair time has exceeded the cost of goods and out of frustration, LG has created a consumer that will never buy another LG product. Just before my top loading “smart drum” washer was off warranty it kept saying UE (uneven) and refused to spin...even after setting it on spin only. It would constantly set more time and refill with water and not fully spin. We are on a well and water use was a concern! I called LG and they contacted the authorized serviceman who came out a couple of days later. He replaced the motherboard and said all was good. That lasted less than 2 weeks before it was doing the same thing again. Called the repairman myself this time and he spoke to LG. Turns out my washer was a lemon and I actually got a new one on warranty. That was great UNTIL the new one started doing it too at about the same age as the original one started it. The new washer didn’t come with any warranty either so I’m stuck with it.LG top loading washers are a total piece of crap and it frustrates me to no end, wastes our well water and power, and I spend all day sometimes just trying to get 1 load of wash done! After 20 years and replacing many parts on my trustworthy but not flawless
After 20 years and replacing many parts on my trustworthy but not flawless Maytag washer and dryer, I finally convinced my wife we should invest in a new set. Unfortunately, we didnt do our homework... she liked the LG set she saw at Home Depot, and away we went. I have to say, Ive made more expensive mistakes in my life, but not many.Theres not much to add that hasnt already been said here, regarding the uneven load syndrome and the fact that it takes all day and probably hundreds of gallons of water to finish what should be a 50 minute load on a water saving machine. Unlike others on this or other forums, I have NOT called LG. Based on all the horror stories I read on every repair site online, it seems pointless to even try. There seems to be NO recognition by LG at the vast extent of this problem with their products, and from what I see, no recourse by consumers. Of those who have gotten repair work done, many incurred significant expense for something that never should have happened in the first place. And for many, the repair (software, new circuit board, etc) was ineffective. The sad part is, I see no responsibility shared by any of the major retailers who sell these products.Im with everyone else - I will never purchase another LG product as long as I live, and Im really stuck with a decision of throwing away a washer that is under a year old, or living with this stupid thing until it craps out. Its apparent I will NEVER get my moneys worth out of it, so it seems pointless to hang onto it any longer really. The best we can do, I feel, is write to the retailers from whom we purchased these LG products and tell them about the issues, and let them know were not happy with their continued decision to sell LG products.

We bought the LG Dishwasher a few years ago, partly because it was considered one of the most quiet (the kitchen is open to the family room and the builder supplied dishwasher was so loud, it was impossible to do anything social during a wash cycle). But we also were sold on the purported quality and features. We got it and installed it. It was quiet as claimed. But it didn’t clean anything. Often, the soap dispenser wouldn’t open. It filled the inside with hardened calcified soap. We called LG, to no avail. They told us it must be our water pressure (we are on city water and the pressure is just fine). They also said that even though we had a warranty, that issue wasn’t covered and if they sent someone out and it was confirmed that the issue wasn’t warranted, we’d be charged $150 as a minimum visit. We already paid a lot for the appliance and didn’t want to get stuck with another bill. So we managed, mostly precleaning the dishes, washing them again when the soap didn’t dispense, and dealing with the calcified buildup in the inside. The drain hose leaked under the cabinet, and we were able to use drain hose tape to get by. Well finally, the water poured into our finished basement during a drain cycle late last night, right before we were all going to bed. We pulled the machine and found several leaks in the drain line. Thinking we could get a universal hose, we went to Home Depot where we originally bought it and discovered that we need to get the first part of the drain hose from LG and that could take weeks. That was it. We bought a Frigidaire Galaxy series for half the price and it arrives next week. We hope this will do what it’s supposed to do-wash dishes.

We purchased our LG Refrigerator in October 2016. It is a French door with dual ice makers. We did love it but like so many others... our compressor broke and our food was ruined. No small expense. Because there is such a demand for replacement compressors I was told there was a back order on them and it took 10 days to get it fixed. Additionally, we cannot get the right fruit/vegetable bin (when facing the refrigerator) out to clean it without breaking it. The gentleman who repaired did get it out and broke it in the process. If anyone would care to shed light on this I would greatly appreciate it. I did read the manual and when you follow the directions, it jams against the door. Also, there in a clear plastic easy access door inside the main french door that catches and pulls open each time you open the main door. Our solution to this was to tape it shut. Lastly, the handle has a button to push to open to access milk and other beverages and apparently it is painted plastic not stainless steel like the rest of the handle because the paint wore off the first year... Looks pretty bad for a high end fridge.

10 year motor warranty is useless to me/read the fine print. I have an expensive top load direct drive LG washer that was 3 years old when the machine broke. I called LG and they gave me the name of a company to do a diagnostic. That company came out and determined that the motor shaft was broken. The tech estimated that it would cost close to $900 to fix. (Could buy a new washer for that) Thinking that being absurd, I called LG back and they told me that the part was covered but not the labor. The labor is covered for only a YEAR.They further told me that the guy that they recommended price was way too high. They gave me another number and I called that number only to find out that the company will only service items underparts and labor! Heres the ridiculous part. I cant find anyone willing to do a service call when just the part is under warranty. So after 3 years with an expensive washer it is looking like my only choice is to buy a new washer.
