We purchased a new LG refrigerator in April of 2017. This replaced one we had for over 20 years and was looking forward to getting a new updated fancy one. After about a year our refrigerator quit working and a repair person was sent out to fix. They repaired and after a month it quit working again. They returned and replaced the compressor. Were told having problems with new compressors but yet they replace with same bad compressors. My friend has had the same issues and they came and replaced her compressor and all the internal parts, will see how long that last. Fast forward January 16, 2020. Woke up this morning and water leaking and our refrigerator is not working. Once again all our food in freezer and fridge are no good. So disappointed in this product, it has never kept our food cold like it should. You try calling customer service and they answer Lifes Good (not) and you get robot CLARK, who says you can talk to him like a person. Last thing you want to hear when you are so angry. They never let you talk to a real person but instead they send you a text for you to complete and to have someone call you back in a day. Will see how long it takes for them to call. So frustrating! I have a nine year old type 1 diabetic who needs her medication refrigerated. So now have to once again live out of an ice chest. I have told my family never to buy LG. Life has not been good with LG.

Love the black stainless but it easily scratches and is not magnetic. Things on the bottom shelf tend to freeze, could use more vegetable drawer depth, as it is frequently tight. We love the alarm feature and the bottom drawer freezer. Sometimes the freezer doesnt stay closed.

Let me start by saying that their linear compressor is garbage and warrantied for 10 years after purchase date! I purchased my refrigerator in April of 2012. July 26, 2017 refrigerator stopping cooling. The compressor has died after 4 years and their approved service technicians have yet to get a compressor to run in my refrigerator. 1st company has come out 4 times to install the said compressor. I paid $350 to get it serviced to no avail. Not once has the compressor been operational after 20 minutes. It shuts done as the technician drive away. 1st company said it is junk and is all done. The 2nd company that came out that LG sent. Said the compressor needs to be replaced, he cant do it because he said, he wasnt certified. So we waited an extra week so a certified tech was to come out (today Sept 6, 2017, the date they stated) we called and they are not coming, stating that the refrigerator was junk. LGs response was that they provided the part and that’s it. I guess it doesnt need to be operational. Ive been without a refrigerator for over 6 weeks, thinking and waiting for that customer support that does not exist with LG. LG people were more than rude and unhelpful with every call. Buyer beware LG doesnt back their warranty. LG gave us a case number and made us think they would have help in some way but today’s response was priceless. They are done because they provided the part. Make the part operational. They should back their products and not get away with taking advantage of consumers. They (LG) should be acceptable!! $3000 plus $350 repair, down the drain!!

We purchased a top load LG Wave Force about 5 years ago. For the past few years, I have noticed brown flakes on my clothes, especially white ones that I need to hang dry. The multiple times I have called LG to complain about the brown flakes on my clothes, they said no one has complained about such flakes. I had a repair guy come out and he took the metal piece out from the inside of the washer. The underside was so disgusting with nasty brown slime. He said there is no way to get the drum out without dismantling the entire washing machine, which he did not recommend. I scrubbed the metal piece he removed and took a soft brush to the underside of the barrel through the inside of the washer. I was never able to get all of the gunk out but it did get better. Now it is back to how it was before with nasty gunk again. I clean the washer every week with Lemi-Shine. I have tried everything. I hate this washer. It has ruined so many of my clothes with brown gunk stains. And the fact that LG says no one has ever complained about this issue is a lie. Two of my best friends have the same issue. I hate hate hate this washer and LG for not keeping track of the people reporting the EXACT same issue I am having. Do NOT buy this washer or the Kenmore version of it.

We purchased a brand new LG washer and dryer from Home Depot in November 2011. As soon as we started using the washer, we noticed water was leaking from the bottom of the machine, which several months later caused heavy damage to the drywall and created black mold. Initially we contacted LG in November and a technician was sent to our home three times; however, they couldnt identify the problem. First, we were told that the sensors had to be replaced and then the machines had to be replaced. However, LG doesnt replace products, they try to fix it. It wasnt until June 2012 that we noticed there was mold on our baseboard. This has caused major stress on us since we have a newborn. We called an environmental company to come and inspect the wall and test the air in our home, which cost us $450, and LG still refuses to replace the washer and dryer. The problem with the dryer is, if you place comforters or a heavy load, it shuts off without finishing the complete dry cycle. I constantly have to check the washer for leaks and turn on the dryer every time it shuts off. I cannot understand how brand new machines cause so much trouble. We explained this to LG and they said they can only send a technician to correct the problem. So far, the technician has come twice this month and it still hasnt been fixed. I cannot understand how this company cannot replace defective machines. This is horrible customer service. We are disappointed and will never recommend nor purchase any LG products again.

I bought an LG refrigerator SS MODEL # LFX25991ST/05 Serial # 310KRRE1K246 in March 2014. It started freezing the vegetables and there was ice behind the right tray. The freezer begin to melt everything on top shelf of freezer. I called to get it repaired and after I think it was about 2 weeks a repair man came on Nov. 2. (I think his name was Keith.) He ordered parts and came back on Nov.12 and put the one part in and said he made sure the refrigerator was reprogrammed. He had ordered a new cover dispenser because the one on the refrigerator had turn black but they had sent the wrong part so he said he would be back Nov. 23 to install it. That evening when I started to get water there was Er under the word refrigerator and rf under the word freezer. I couldnt get water or ice. I unplugged the refrigerator and plugged it back in and it started to work. Every time I go to get water I have to do the same thing. I called back thinking it only needed to be reprogrammed again but couldnt get them to send someone out because the man who came the first time was scheduled to come back on Nov.23 even though I was told that someone would come on today Nov.19 but didnt show. Now the freezer keeps thawing and refreezing the food. The refrigerator will cool but not get cold. I have lost so much food not once but twice. Your service is very slow and your product is very poor. I will never buy another LG anything.

Within the first year of owning a new LG gas range, the 5 burner control knobs were breaking where the knob slides onto the shaft of the gas control mechanism. I tried repairing it myself and it worked for a while, but now they are so bad they need replacing. Why can it not be made of metal? This simple solution would solve the problem. While searching various parts replacement sites, the knobs are over $70.00 each to replace. 5 x 70 = $350.00 for knobs? Is this customer service and support after the sale? I am so disappointed in the quality of these knobs and the expense to replace them that I may replace the whole range on principle and never purchase an LG product again, of any type. What happens when I put the new knobs on and they crack and break? Another $350.00 in todays dollars for knobs? I dont think so. I have checked around and there are no replacement knobs of better quality available. LG needs to get their act together.

I like the double doors the clear glass. I love how its a smooth dark grey and that its quality and efficient. Saves me on the electric bill which is a big plus. It needs more space though. It should be bigger, more light and maybe try a see thru version of a it to attract more people and make kids say mommy get the clear fridge the is me personally but you know Im nobody. The look and quality it seemed like enough space which it was for a time but I like to eat. Its not too heavy and it doesnt make a loud noise. I used to have a loud ** fridge. Hated it. It wore out very easy too.

Ive had my LX228968SB 26.8 cu ft 3 door french door for 4.5 years and it has maybe worked right for 1.5 years... Have had 3 service tickets and the compressor was just replaced 6 months ago and is out again and so I have been without a fridge now for over 2 weeks, during the hottest time of the year and Ill just say it, LG doesnt care. Working with LG customer service has literally been the worst experience Ive had with any company, EVER!!! I cannot even begin to explain on how bad and unhelpful they are or how many times Ive waited on hold only to get dropped (it literally just happened) or transferred and dropped. This is one of my favorites. When I called in several weeks ago to set up an appointment, they said that Id be contacted with 48 hours... Well, after 57 hours I reached back out and they told me since they couldnt find anyone to repair my fridge, they cancelled my appointment, when I asked them when they were going to tell me?.... Crickets. Then I tried to reschedule and they said they get 3-5 more days to do that, excuse me, what??? I am currently trying to get a refund on my fridge and hopefully some of the $1K worth of food I had to throw or give away... Fun fact; LG only does up to $300 and if you fill out one question wrong on their form it tells you that you arent eligible and it locks you out, awesome, right??? Bottom line, quality, at least on their refrigerators is awful (class action lawsuit out against them on their compressors) but customer service is even worse, NEVER buy LG or pray you never need to contact customer service.

I bought my LG French door side by side unit LMXC23746 in 2016 and now after 21 months it stopped cooling. LGs authorized repair guys checked it out, and as they were suspecting (1) the compressor is bad!!! and (2) the sealed unit is leaking!!! Parts are on order and no ETA on when it will be available. Meanwhile get used to living without a refrigerator! As I am reading this seems to be a common problem on recent LG refrigerators. I paid 3 grands for this high-end LG unit and looks like it was a BIG MISTAKE! Never LG again! Not sure if we can sue them for common failure based on the common occurrence!

Every other load, this HE top load machine (wt5001cw) goes off balance. At the end of the spin cycle, the machine repeats the rinse/spin cycle over and over until it goes off balance or I manually stop it. This causes the clothes to never spin fully dry. Ive contacted LG and they wont do anything, because I cant find the original bill of sale from Sears - although Sears did give me a printout showing a summary of my purchase from 10/3/2010 which includes the model number of the LG Washer, but not the purchase price.According to a repair estimate, the parts and labor for just a new control panel will be over $400, which still does not solve the balance problem. The machine is only 14 months old and LG doesnt care. By the way, Ive been using a family members new Whirlpool HE top loader and its working great, washing the same clothes without ever going off balance. I only say this because LG will probably blame the balancing issue on the clothes or me.

LG dryer electrical connection holder - The screws were torqued so hard I could not loosen them without using a nut driver crescent wrench and channel locks. Then, of course, the holder broke. Updated on 11/13/2019: Another 2 days have gone by and it is 4 pm and the LG service people have not shown up again. Consumer Affairs keeps say there are holding things up due to the fact they cannot find our refrigerator by the serial number. I would like to take a picture of it, but they don’t tell me where to send it. My husband send a copy of our receipt over a week ago, but that doesn’t seem to be enough! We have been without a refrigerator since October 3rd- guess my next step is The Better Business Bureau. Every day they promise something it it never seems to happen. I lost over $400 in food plus 6 weeks of eating out. My house is up for sale and how do you think a non-working refrigerator looks to people looking at our house! LG Service is the worst.Updated on 11/11/2019: This is a follow up to a previous review.... After 6 weeks without a refrigerator we were scheduled service for the 3rd time, today between 1& 5- took off of work again (they told us this would be a 3 hour repair) and guess what they call us at 1:30 to cancel our appt for today! Will never buy another LG product just because their set ice is so bad!Original Review: On October 3rd, I called for Service on my LG refrigerator- they did some sort of scan from my phone and told me the refrigerator was fine and I must have left the door ajar and that is why things were warm and ice was melting. I was told to unplug my refrigerator for about 15 minutes, plug it back in and keep door closed for at least 6 hours and I should be fine. I went to bed, got up the next morning and everything in my freezer was thawed and refrigerator was warm, so needless to say I had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food.I called again, they wanted to send a repairman out the following Monday and not before, well we were leaving town Sunday for my son’s wedding. Service was then scheduled for October 18th. When they came on the 18th I was told I needed a new compressor on my 3 year old refrigerator which was still under warranty. But it would take them 10 days to get the parts. Service was set up for October 28th between 8 and 12 and I was told it may take 3 hours, so I took the day off of work.Well, the 28th comes but only 2 of 3 parts had been delivered, so they did not come. Then it was rescheduled for today 10/30, but parts still are not in....after many phone calls and not getting any real answers - we have asked for a new refrigerator they say you have to have 3 service calls for the same complaint or if they can’t get the parts from 30 days after service call. Well even though we called on 10/3, the 30 days starts on 10/18 when the service man actually came to our house. So, apparently we have to wait now til 11/18 if the part doesn’t come in - that is 6 weeks without a refrigerator. I will never buy LG again!

The specifications on my LG washer state it will pump up to 96 inches high. It does not, and leaves water in the bottom of the tub. It is a LG WM3575 CW, Serial #: 602PNGX2H359, purchased on May 6 2016. It was delivered, installed on May 9 2016. The washer has not drained properly since. I emailed LG on June 2, 2016 about my complaint. I received no response. I submitted an email again on June 7th. I still did not receive a response. After several phone calls, a technician was scheduled to come out on June 17th. He took photos and determined the product was not working as designed from day one and was installed properly. His recommendation was a pedestal or add a check valve to the drain pipe.I contacted LG everyday the following week. Each time I was told I would get a return call. After several calls, it was determined that the photos taken by the technician never made it to the office. I had to take my own photos, and email on June 30th. Now they are saying maybe the extra bend in the hose is the problem. The hose has to bend to go up and it has to bend to turn down into the drain. That is normal and is exactly what the pictures look like on the install diagrams. On August 4th I had another technician inspect the washer, and he gave the same diagnosis as the last technician. I have an open case with BBB # **. The case opened in July, and LG has until August 12th. I called customer executive services to give LG an opportunity to provide a resolution. The representative Robert, supervisor # ** assisted me. He provided the best customer service he could. He researched the information and spoke with technicians and supervisors in order to provide a resolution to the satisfy the customer. I suggested LG provide me a pedestal to determine if that would resolve the issue. LG stated they do not manufacture pedestals, so they cannot provide one. What a failure on your part LG. I will not buy LG again!

I purchased washer/dryer combo from LG in February 2018. Upon delivery, I left plastic covering on to protect machine, as I have a habit of doing this. Two months later, I removed cover and noticed numerous scratches all over cover of dryer. Calls were made to Best Buy in Levittown, as well as LG directly, over a period of months. I was informed these are cosmetic issues and not covered under warranty. I just want to reiterate the machine was delivered in that condition and not because of my use of machine. As a result, I did not get a satisfactory solution to my problem. Please note I have never given a bad review on any matter. This time, LG deserves this review. This review goes out to Best Buy in Levittown, as well, as the manager I spoke with was very rude and no help at all. I hope this helps anyone looking to purchase appliances.

I have a now ten-year old LMX25964 ST Refrigerator made by LG. It is a French door version with two pullout freezers underneath. It has worked flawlessly with one exception. The hinge wore out on the right side. Theres just a piece of Delrin plastic that rides on the hinge. I started seeing powder from the metal grinding for like two years before I realized what was going on. Maybe I put too much weight on that door. I now store the milk on the solid shelf off the door. It cost me about an hour looking at YouTube to figure out how to fix it and around $20 in parts. The fix process went surprisingly well. I had predicted a disaster. Door came off easily as did the old hinge. I draped a towel in front while the power was off to retain the cool. In the old days we used to put the old fridge out in the garage after the remodel where it cooled beer for 20 more years. Those days are gone. I have a LG washer dryer combo that was very high end at the time of purchase. They have performed perfectly for ten years now. My LG dishwasher went bad two months after the warranty ran out. I took it apart, took one look and put it back together. Whatever I did it must have reset the circuit board or something. Works fine now.

I was out of country for business when my wife tells me our 5 year old LG refrigerator stopped working. I had her call LG customer service department (India). They provided her with an authorized LG Service Center 50 miles from our house. The cost for the service center to make the service call to my home was $215 which included 1 hour of labor that would be applied to the service call and anything left over applied to the repair. It took the service center 1 week to make the service call. At 5 years my refrigerator has only a 7 year warranty on the compressor with no labor covered. The service call by the service center determined the compressor and motherboard were bad. The repairman only assessed the call for 15 minutes leaving 45 minutes toward repair. I was also told that I would have to get the parts from LG. Contacted LG for the parts and they said the service center would have to order the parts.I went back and forth for about a week between the service center and LG. Got an LG Case Number that was offered after about the 15th call to LG. I asked for a US based LG customer service rep and was told that does not exist. Today LG offered to send the Service Center a Part Authorization # so that they could order the parts. I am going on 3 weeks without a refrigerator functioning in my home. I was told the Part Authorization # will take at least 3 days. The service center says once they have the Part Authorization # it will take about a week to get the part. Then another week to come out for the service repair call. If you are thinking of purchasing an LG product you are out of your freakn mind.

We are so disappointed that we will have to replace this expensive appliance after just three and a half years. The service tech said it would need a new spin basket, motor, stator and hall sensor. It will cost $530 for parts and $350 for labor. But we can deduct $92 for the cost of the motor which is covered under the 10-year warranty. I feel taken. LG had the best repair history according to Consumer Reports, which is why we made the decision to purchase an LG. But I feel like three and a half years is way too short for a washing machine to last. I wont be buying LG again.

LG WaveForce TrueBalance anti-vibration system Model #WT5101HV, Product Code #T1309ADFH6.ASSEEUS. Bought washer & matching dryer 11/27/2010 with 5 year extra warranty on both. Three years of hell! Large-capacity washer that simply WILL NOT BALANCE, but will instead of sounding a buzzer that it is OFF BALANCE, will just restart the countdown timer as it REFILLS with WATER and starts the rinse cycle... again and again and again. Yes, the buzzer can work on occasion, but the load has to be very off balance. When I first got it and the countdown timer reset and the rinse cycle started again, I mistook that it was just part of the machines normal operation, but there is nothing normal for the waste of water and the amount of time I spend standing in front of the washer trying to catch it before it resets AND the amount of time I spend rearranging the load to try and balance it in the tub to the machine balance sensors satisfaction... up to 30 minutes at a time moving heavy wet clothes around or removing them by hand to place one on this side and one on that side... endless aggravation. Even if I use the lowest spin and step it up to the highest spin, it will not balance. If you dont use the highest spin cycle (or step up from low to high) it takes nearly 2 hours to dry clothes on the 2nd highest spin cycle. The factory recall notice that I received was merely an insult to the problem because it does not address the ACTUAL issue -- which is that it will not balance. Instead, the recall wants to tell me not to wash raincoats or such nonsensical how to or not to use the machine properly. It will not balance with: ONLY pants or ONLY shirts or ONLY towels or ONLY pajamas. The bigger the load in this large-capacity washer, the bigger the balance problem. If I wash a tiny load like socks, it might actually finish the load all by itself once-in-a-while, but why have a LARGE-CAPACITY washer if it is useless? If you mix shirts and pants, be prepared to untangle the biggest wet knots you have ever seen! I stopped using the low-water features a long time ago when my clothes did not clean properly, so I now use the Bulky/Bedding setting, which fills the tub with water. When I used the low-water features, the balance problem was exactly the same. I always keep the door open when not in use, so it does not stink itself up and requires special tub cleaning. I have only had to clean it once. Since the normal way this company has responded to the myriad of consumer complaints is even more impossible than dealing with the product, I see no reason to play their game of endless service calls when NO SERVICEMAN CAN POSSIBLY REDESIGN A FLAWED APPLIANCE. I have not heard of any service call fixing this models problems. I bought a 5-year service policy with 2 years left. This machines design is a lemon, so where is the companys restitution to us consumers? I dont want the upgraded software because it takes away wash settings and spin RPMs that I bought in the first place. A recall that is stone-cold useless and removes some original wash (gentle) and spin (extra high) variations is their restitution, so consumer take heed.

We have owned so many LG products and have loved them all. My complaint with the dishwasher is that it takes two hours to run and does not have a dry cycle. No one told us that at purchase. Have had for three years and no real problems except as stated.

I too made the mistake of buying LG appliances. My dishwasher motor has seized. Never felt the dishwasher worked correctly. 1/2 time soaking wet and 1/2 time dry. The utensil basket pieces broken out on the bottom. The machine is very loud. Takes a ridiculous long cycle of two hours to wash dishes. My wash machine is also now acting up and I am getting frequent error signs. If you want appliances to last longer than 4 years look elsewhere. Foreign call center with little to no customer service.

I bought an LG fridge back in 2008. I tell you, its my worst experience with an LG brand. The fridge stopped freezing in eight months. I got someone to have a look at it and he said the cap tube was blocked. He went ahead and do his stuff. A couple of months later, same problem. Im telling you, that LG brand is no good at all. The ** fridge makes my light bill go up sky high. I cant hold it anymore. I have to talk out and encourage people not to buy an LG brand from my experience. LG needs to do better than they are doing right now. Model no. GM-343SL. Serial no. 711MRL16272.

First the freezer went and leaked all over the kitchen hardwood floor and then an hour later the fridge stopped cooling. Beyond disappointed in this brand. We bought this model due to the extra large capacity but unfortunately the product just did not last.

Our LG fridge LFX28978ST /04 stopped cooling. We lost everything we purchas
Our LG fridge LFX28978ST /04 stopped cooling. We lost everything we purchased in groceries to last us a while during this pandemic. It is a compressor issue from their linear compressor. We called LG and they verified it is a compressor issue but had to pay out of pocket cost for technician to come out and the repair cost while they supply the part. The technician came out and in under 20 mins, said it was a compressor. The cost for that 20 mins, $85. The service cost for the technician to perform the work, $890. The cost for the compressor from LG is less than $260. At that cost I would rather buy a new fridge. I called and complained to LG. They gave me 3 other technicians BUT I will have to pay new labor costs. They said I could explain to them that it was already diagnosed, which all the technicians said this is false and they will have to perform their own diagnosis.1 of them did not answer, the other said he has not touched LG fridge in over 7 years and does not want to. I called LG because I was not getting anywhere and they advised that I can call any local technician and they will approve the technician to perform the service. I have called about 6 local places and ALL OF THEM will not touch LG refrigerator. All of them said one thing or the other about LG refrigerators. I am getting nowhere with LG and it is a very frustrating time right now for me and my family to get the run around and nothing in the fridge. LG will not even reimburse me the cost of my groceries until the technician performs a $890 repair that they only have to fork out $260... Beware, if you buy LG fridge, prepare for the runaround and NO technician wanting to service this and if they do, the cost will be ridiculous. This is totally unacceptable and I can see why there is a class action suit against this company. I will be posting on all social media how LG handles its customers on an item they know is flawed. Hopefully I can deter others from buying LG refrigerator. I wished I searched this site before buying an LG refrigerator. I am getting no help whatsoever from LG... NONE... They will have you doing all the leg work and calling for nothing...

We purchased an LG French door fridge, stove and microwave in April 2016, by August 2016 the fridge no longer worked. We have been living out of coolers constantly having to buy ice for the past month. Spending lots of money eating out because I cant go grocery shopping. 2 techs have been out for repair, but have yet to fix the compressor which they both say is out. It is now September 2016 and I still have no working fridge. We paid $2583.50 for a fridge that lasted 4 months. After reading other peoples experiences here I now know that I have wasted a big amount of my money as I have had the same experience with Lg customer service. Long waits on the phone, no type of care or concern about having a customer fridge less for a month now, even after I told them we have a son whos medication must be refrigerated. No compensation offered whatsoever. None given when requested either. Their customer service line is horrible. They do not care about their customers at all.I have never reviewed any product because I have never had the need to do so. Everything always works just as promised. We had our previous fridge 12 years without a single repair made to it (kenmore) only replaced to this LG because kitchen was remodeled and wanted a new look. BIG MISTAKE - we made with our choice. Do NOT waste your money. LG products are NO good. Stay away.

We noticed, when using the washer, that several items of clothing came out with small holes in them. At first I thought it might be due to the clothing. But it has gotten worse. Now items like new jeans, t-shirts and pants are experiencing holes. So I felt all around the drum and didnt see any sharp items that would snag the clothes. But then I looked at the drum design. The drum is supported by three brackets. Each of these brackets have small drain holes about 1/8 high and 3/4 long on each side. Two of these brackets are located not near the dimpled holes in the drum. But the third bracket is located about 1/4 from the dimples. In looking at the cutouts in the brackets, I noted that they had sharp edges. I wet a heavy cloth and pushed it in between the dimples and the slot, simulating centrifugal force of a rotating drum. At times the cloth was snagged by the bracket. Therefore, I believe that there is a design deficiency. I checked the newer models at Sears and the slot on the brackets have been relocated away from the drum dimples. Please advise how do I get LG to correct this situation and compensate for lost clothes.

Its a terrible design flaw. Rust is on the hinges where no chlorine or detergent goes. I have pictures... Paint will not help. The entire under part of the area above the bin but connected to the place where you put detergent or bleach is completely rusted out and the metal is so bad. I can stick my finger through it. They sent me an email... that the rust in your washing machine bleach dispenser is a result of the detergent or other additives being spilled that have not been wiped clean. Chlorine bleach is corrosive and will erode the finish if not cleaned immediately. If any spills should happen make sure to wipe it up immediately and the area cleaned with warm water and a soft cloth. Touch-up paint maybe use to cover the area, if not service may be necessary. How could LG design a washing machine that uses bleach and detergent knowing full well that it might get on areas besides the stainless bin and get under this area and all around the entire top of the machine and rust out. That is what happened.

I bought this range 3095st about 6 months ago. Never used the broil feature until recently. Then oven stopped working. Called LG and they sent a qualified repair technician. Wrong!!! The guy was clueless...had to read the paperwork AND call the technical support phone number. He complained about LG being cheap and not paying for multiple visits to repair an appliance! Their technician said he was the only one for the area. Told me the range was functioning. I turned on the broiler several hours later and heard a strange humming noise followed by a loud bang. Range/broiler/oven light dont work at all.Repair technician said it would take a week to receive a new circuit board which I found online for 50 dollars and could have it expedited. Two weeks later no phone call, no oven/broiler/no holiday dinner during Easter/added costs of eating out! Wouldnt you think LG would offer something...hell no they put me on hold when I called them. Ive been holding on for a month already!!! Never again LG!

In January 2019 we purchased four new top-of-the-line LG appliances from Home Depot: dishwasher, oven/range/microwave and refrigerator. Within two months we had problems with the dishwasher and LG did not have the needed parts. Within the next several months we had to call for service on the oven/range (twice), on the microwave, and this week on the refrigerator. LG was extremely uncooperative in scheduling a service appointment, even after the Home Depot telephone them on our behalf. They insisted on photographs of our receipts (we have neither smart phones or the ability to transmit photos) although we gave LG THE MODEL NUMBER, SERIAL NUMBER, RECEIPT NUMBER AND DATE AND THE TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE Home Depot store. The LG representative was rude, and even hung up on my wife. Home Depot had a similar experience, and advised us to NEVER buy an LG appliance from Home Depot in the future. Not much chance of that! Our LG refrigerator wasnt 3 years old and the compressor went. It was covered under a 10 year warranty through LG. 2 days after it broke a LG repairman came out and said it would be a 6 week wait for a compressor. That was unacceptable. Tried calling LG customer service a few times. And kept getting the runaround. We bought it at Best Buy. LG was telling us that Best Buy was responsible even though its on paper that the compressor is LGs responsibility. They did not want to give me what I paid for and deserved. Either a repair in a timely manner or a replacement. After 3 weeks and help from Best Buy I finally got approved for a new refrigerator. And needless to say I did not get a LG this time around. I wouldnt buy an alarm LG alarm clock.

Lg top load model # WT1101CW - I have had this washer for 1 1/2 years. It takes all day to do a load of clothes. Every time you call for repair they just want to replace electronic board. That does nothing. Right now it is 6pm and I have been doing the same load of clothes since 7am. Constantly says uneven load, constantly refills and adds time when it says 13 minutes. I go back in about 15 minutes later it is filling up with water and now has more minutes. Just random amounts of time. Filling, draining, filling, draining, never spinning. It is so frustrating to try to get laundry done. There is a small 15 yr old Maytag in my basement that works better. Do not buy this washer. It is a top loader with no agitator. I Hate it!!!!!

I Jaiprakash ** had purchased two product from LG Shoppe situated at Mira Road East, franchise of Malaika Electronic at Sector 1, Shanti Nagar, Mira Road East, Thane. In January, 15, 2015 had purchased three door refrigerator and the complaint is still pending. The reason the LG mira road service centre is ruthless and useless and just want to mint money from the customer by delaying to give service during warranty period and once the warranty period is over, they are free to mint money from the customer. The deep freezer is getting choked with ice and we could see the ice growing like mountain at middle of the deep freezer. The complaint falls to deaf ear and the mail falls to blind eye. No response from the LG service centre, cause they are just waiting when the one year expiry is getting over and when we can mint money.Secondly had purchased LG 10.5 kg washing machine and the dryer is giving problem. The clothes are not fully dried as compared to other brand and the customer service provider informs saying thoda to gila rahega, then how come other brand machine resolves the problem fully and the clothes are dried fully. Not ready to listen about other brand product. Cause it hurts their ego. Almost wasted 67000/- and feel I have been cheated by giving a defective item both end. and the worst part after messaging the senior guy ASM ** he too acts as deaf and blind. So one can understand how junior will react to the customer. Seriously upset with the product and wasted my hard earned money. Dont know whether I have purchased a LG product or a LOW Grade Product. Updated on 05/02/2021: This is my second review on the same LG electric ran
Updated on 05/02/2021: This is my second review on the same LG electric range. This range has not worked correctly since the first month or two after we bought it! The temperature is NEVER at the correct temperature, the fan never stops blowing even though it’s in regular bake so that every baked good comes out too dark, and the cleaning feature has NEVER worked correctly. I have contacted LG and after them blowing me off the first time, I came here to warn people away from this garbage LG range. LG finally, after contacting me because of my first review, had two different repair companies come to my house. The first company had made seven appointments to attempt to see what was wrong. Four different repairmen came and each one gave us a different story and ordered the wrong parts, resulting in them having to order something else and come at a later date. The second company sent one repairman and he replaced some parts also and it seemed ok, but it’s still all over the place temperature wise and the fan never goes off, still!I do not use the convection setting, the fan should not be burning the tops of my food. This supposed attempt at LG repairing their defective appliance has been going on (this time) since November 2020. As soon as I can afford it, I’m buying a new range and rolling this one down the driveway for the garbage man. People, stay away from LG’s electric ranges, especially this model.Original Review: My LG electric range is only about 18 months old and I really think I wasted my money. I’ve cleaned it a few times a year and all it does is blow all of the dirty stuff onto the door and I always have a layer of black burnt on mess that I have to soak off. The gasket around the door is severely stained from the black gunk that just gets baked on as the oven cleans. I called LG about a year ago and they argued with me and told me to clean the gasket myself when the owner’s manual states not to. When I told the person which page to go to in the manual, they put me on hold forever. When they came back they said they would send out a new gasket that I could install myself. The gasket has yet to arrive, and the promised call-back from a supervisor never happened.Today, I cleaned my oven again and, yep, I’m soaking of the black layer with baking soda and water, the gasket is even more stained now. The oven fan seems to run non-stop, as if it is on convection not regular bake. I’m so disappointed and embarrassed that I proudly announced that I had just bought an LG range in the beginning. How can companies keep their business with such an inadequate level of customer service and defective products? I guess I’ll just be one of the crowd that I didn’t know existed until I searched for possible answers to this defective range’s issues. Never, never, never, again, LG! Keep your junk. My $1000 Whirlpool Gold could run laps around this piece of garbage, I wish I’d never replaced it.

We purchased our fridge in Nov 2018. In March 2020 the freezer stopped freezing and the fridge stopped cooling. We have had 3 tech come in March to service our fridge on 3 separate occasions in order to evaluate our fridge. Each one said that our fridge just needed a software update. We have asked about getting our compressor replaced or them just replacing our unit and each time they refused because the techs state that the problem is the software. Its now June and our fridge just stopped working again today. Ive been on the phone for over an hour to speak with a manager. Im so frustrated with the amount of time and money that we have wasted with this product and company. All I want now is my money back for the product but they are telling me the same tech has to come out and do an evaluation of our fridge again! Never ever purchase an LG refrigerator. UPDATED ON 1/20/2021: We contacted LG about the problem that we experienced but to no avail. Even though their instruction booklet told us how to cook bacon (which we followed) the microwave caught fire. Apparently there was a problem with the unit. After going back and forth with them about this problem they finally e-mailed us a letter stating they would reimburse us the amount of money we spent for the microwave. The only thing that was required was that we purchase a new LG microwave, which we did. We had to send them copies of the purchase receipts from both microwaves and the labels off the old one, which we did in order to get the refund. We were then instructed to dispose of the old microwave. Unfortunately they did not hold up to their promise. After many calls on our part with promises of them getting back to us, with what appears no intentions of doing so. Now they are telling us that we were the cause of the problem, and will not refund our money even though they sent us the letter telling us otherwise.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Purchased a LG microwave about 5 months ago. While cooking food according to their instructions in their manual the microwave started on fire. Either the manuals instructions were wrong or the microwave malfunctioned. LG was called and a service person was sent out. We were informed by their service department that the service person they sent out would determine whether the microwave would be repaired or replaced. According to the service person we had been misinformed in that he does not make that decision, and that is left for someone else. We were told that he would turn in his report and we would be contacted. An engineer contacted us and said that the microwave did not malfunction and because there was a fire in it LG is not responsible. Why is it that we followed all the directions but yet they dont want to acknowledge that there is something wrong with the microwave? No pictures are available as damage was on the inside top of microwave.

I bought one of LGs “French door” models in July 2014. The compressor has already gone out. Initially, I really liked the unit, with the exception that the ice maker in the door did not stay cold enough and the ice melts together and has to be thrown out every few days. I was willing to overlook this because the rest of the refrigerator worked great. Produce stays fresh for several weeks.I am giving this refrigerator and LG 1 star mostly because of the service, which is almost non-existent. I wish I could give it 0 stars. I knew that the compressor was out because I woke up one morning and both the refrigerator and freezer were warm, even though the lights and water dispenser were still working and I could not hear the compressor. I tried to “diagnose” the issue so I could let the LG representative know, but it would not give me a reading. The ability to use your smartphone to diagnose issues was one of the selling points of this refrigerator. However, I had to wait two weeks (including over Labor Day weekend) just to have someone come to confirm that the compressor was the issue. The service person opened the refrigerator and used his own phone to determine that the compressor was out. I had to pay him the $100.00 trip fee for him to do something that I should have been able to do. Then I had to wait another 8 days for them to order the parts and come back to install the new compressor. The day before the second appointment, they called to confirm that all of the parts had arrived, but only 2 of the 3 parts had come. They told me they were cancelling the appointment and rescheduling it for another week out. I had to demand that they keep the appointment and I tracked down the missing part myself and picked it up at UPS. Finally, the technician came to replace the compressor yesterday, and I immediately knew something was wrong because it made a loud vibrating noise that has not stopped, which began as soon as he left. I called him and left a message but didn’t get a callback. He had indicated that it would take until this morning to cool down enough for food storage. I decided to wait it out and see if the noise would stop. Not only did the noise not stop, but the refrigerator and freezer are still warmer than the inside of my home.I now get to wait another 5 days for them to come back to re-check the refrigerator. I do not have a second refrigerator, so I am living out of a dorm-size refrigerator and buying ice at the gas station. My interactions with LG and A & E Service have been so negative and their service has been so slow that I have decided to use a different brand of appliances in a new home that is under construction. I will never buy another LG product again.

After 4 1/2 years, after buying 4 matching stainless steel appliances for the new home, my refrigerator started making loud noises, like an airplane landing. We knew it was a problem, but didnt have a real sense of urgency because the fridge was still cooling; figured wed attend to it when we had time. Then it began cooling inconsistently. Then it finally crapped out. We called customer service and they had us contact the approved list of repair companies. I took the day off, had the repairman look at the fridge (and I do mean LOOK AT it, as he didnt have the parts on hand), and was told it was the compressor that failed and the work would cost over $1000! The part was covered under our 5 yr warranty, but the work was about the cost of a new fridge and wasnt covered. So, the $200-300 part is covered but the $1000 work to install isnt? Gee, thanks, LG!After looking at what a new comparable one would cost, we couldnt find one and came to the disappointing decision to just go with the repair. The repairman was very nice and said this isnt the first hes seen and doubts itll be the last. So VERY disappointed in LG for making such a flimsy, unreliable product! I was a big fan of LG previously - having had a TV, Blu-ray disc player, etc. - and had NO problems, so I thought that competency would apply to all their products. Very wrong and very disappointed.

We bought a beautiful LG refrigerator about 10 years ago... LG boasts that their refrigerator lasts 20 years!!! Its 2021 now! We realized food in the freezer was not frozen solid. We called appliance repairs only to find out that the compressor cannot be replaced because LG stopped making those compressors!! We called many appliance repair places all with the same result! This is ridiculous and It only lasted 1/2 the life they boast and advertise!!?? False advertising!!

LFX31958ST - Purchased our first LG refrigerator in 2010. It lasted approx. 9 mos before the bottom freezer stop freezing and the top fridge stop getting cold, the ice maker stopped making ice. The purchase company HHGregg replaced the refrigerator with a new one in Oct 2011. In Oct 2012 a repair call was made on the 2nd refrigerator and now in 2015 (thank God for warranties) the refrigerator is out again same problems. This refrigerator cost too much money to last less than 5 years. Never will we buy LG again and we will be sharing our experience on social media with all our family and friends. Warning!!!

I wanted to let everyone know that there is a class action lawsuit for the refrigerators with the light not going out. It has been settled. Our four-year-old refrigerator (LG Refrigerator Model No. LCF25760SW with French doors) is having ice maker problems too. There are no repairmen in our area. It leaked water out into the floor while we were at work and caused floor damage. I ordered another ice maker from someone that LG recommended. It still has problems. Home Depot is where I bought it, but I cant get them to give me a repairmans phone number either. I will never ever buy another LG product again as long as I live. If you live in the middle of nowhere, dont buy LG products! They are not worth the price at all or the trouble.

11/2014 I purchased a $4,200 door-in-door LG Refrigerator LMXS307765/00 from Home Depot. Frustrated by a tsunami of continuous problems with this product, that resulted in lots of spoiled food after the one year warranty expired. The whole tyranny of which is too numerous to state here, but suffice to say that I feel cheated. There should be real consumer protection laws in this country to at least slow down the abuse to consumers like myself yesterday 07/31/2017. Déjà vu my $4,200 refrigerator is not cooling again...

We bought all brand new top of line LG appliances...refrigerator alone well over 2,000.00 in Fall 2017. Loved the new appliances but in Fall 2019 a compressor went out in the refrigerator. Yes, LG covered the replacement and repair but what they don’t want to tell you is the refrigerator will never run quiet again. We have had to call the tech back three times to come look at it because it runs so loud. We bought the product because it was super quiet and our kitchen is close to our family room and bedroom. It will wake you up at night. It runs with vibrating noises, humming, etc and LG’s fix is sending an email with acceptable refrigerator noises. What a joke.I told them if it would have ran like this when I originally purchased it would have been taken back in the first 30 days. The tech comes and states it’s a little louder than normal but not a single thing is being done. The tech calling LG while he was here was a joke too...all they could say to do is take off some clips to see if vibrating stopped...guess what?!?! It didn’t and it is still loud as ever. I will never buy another LG product and would never recommend.

I did not know about this site when we purchased our LG products, freestanding double oven electric range, french door refrigerator and washer and dryer. Had the microwave but took it back right away as it was so dark inside and the light very dim. Bought a KitchenAid microwave and previously dishwasher. I have a problem with the self-clean feature of the oven. I have broiled steaks on the quick broil feature. Guess what when you use this feature, the fat will splatter inside the oven. After cooking the steaks I cleaned the oven but the floor of the oven in front of the door did not clean. It looked really baked on and you could not wipe it clean at all. I have the blue enamel oven. I did not touch this area - afraid I would void the warranty so called the executive warranty dept. Spoke with Wendy and she said they should be able to schedule an appt for Friday. Waited for the call but none came so we assumed they would show up on Friday.NO SHOW NO CALL. Called back and Wendy said her computer was down but we did get a response to schedule for the following Friday. Repair guy said it should not have done that either. Called Tech department and they told my husband to put wet paper towels over the area and use the easy clean feature. It did remove the baked on mess so they told us they would not warranty it. I was so madddd!!! I called and spoke with Brenda ** and she told me I didnt need to get an attitude with her. I explained that I am allowed to cook in the oven and that food will splatter (she said splatters are not covered by warranty). The oven has a self-clean feature and of course LG expects food to be splattered why else would you have a self-clean feature? I expect it to work and not to have to clean it first before I use the self-clean feature. The feature cleaned the oven beautifully except the foot and half area in front of the door.I told the rep that I felt it was a seal problem and it wasnt getting hot enough in that particular area to clean the food. She was going to check with her tech and emailed me that it was not covered under warranty. I emailed her back that was unacceptable. I wanted the general managers number and I was going to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals Office. I will not give up. I know they want me to cause our warranty is about up also and if they stall me then they wont have to deal with it. Now I just need to figure out how to contact him but am filing a complaint with both agencies. I did not know about this site before buying our products.

I ordered online from Home Depot. LG dryer was to be installed, old dryer removed. No problem except dryer now sits in my laundry room 12 inches from the wall and will not complete a drying cycle. My home, as many high end homes in Florida, has venting up thru attic and out the roof. The dryer will not work, have had vents cleaned, and I so regret this purchase. I, at almost 60, am taking my clothes to a laundry to dry them. Instructions state to reroute exhaust? Home Depot will not accept a return? Stated they asked LG and LG said no. Well, will donate the dryer and purchase something that will work. A Roper and from Lowes, better quality and service.

Have finally narrowed down the clothes washing machine that would best suit our family needs. Our choice was the LG 5680HVAS. Unfortunately, or actually luckily, my wife decided to dry run the washer by attempting to simulate retrieving clothes once washed. She discovered, at 5 3, she could not reach the bottom of the tub. We then went on to investigate the Maytag designs as well as the Samsung, and GE. We did not review any others. It appears that all of the HE designs have incorporated a physically taller design to facilitate the deeper drum. Bottom line, if you are 5 5 or physically shorter, dont buy one of these machines as you will be greatly inconvenienced every time you use it.

We bought ALL LG appliances 3 yrs. ago, including their French door-in-door refrigerator. We’ve been without that fridge for THREE WEEKS now!! LG’s customer svc. is shameful. They think 3 wks isn’t unreasonable to live without a fridge. It took 2 wks & dozens of phone calls, hanging on hold for over 10 mins. to even get an LG certified tech assigned to our case. Took another week for THEIR certified tech to receive the new compressor from LG parts. (LG refuses to expedite shipping even when we offered to pay for it). He came, installed the new one & it’s STILL doesn’t work!!!!Admittedly, we were enamored by their products. We drank the “Life’s Good” Koolaid. The only element that differentiates one manufacturer, from another is their customer service when things go wrong. It’s easy to spew “Life’s good” mantra when people are spending millions on your products. It’s what a company does to help its brand loyal customers WHEN THINGS GO WRONG - that is the true measure of their worth. I was an LG brand loyal consumer. I’m over that now & hope to warn others so this nightmare doesn’t happen to them. My neighbor had a similar compressor problem with their Samsung fridge. They received a full refund for what they paid for it, in TWO DAYS!One of my husband’s cancer meds requires refrigeration. Even knowing that, LG customer service reps give the same rehearsed canned response; “we’re sorry for your inconvenience”. 1) They’re NOT “sorry” & 2) Being without a fridge for the whole month of August is considered well beyond “inconvenience”!!! They’re doing NOTHING except continuing to try to get it repaired at a snail’s pace. There’s NO possibility of getting anything done quick with them. I offered to give them MY FedEx acct. # to overnight another compressor. No, they can’t even do that. If I could afford to put this piece of garbage on the curb for trash pick-up, I would. But we bought all new appliances knowing we were going to be retiring & these were supposed to last us as we prepared to live on our fixed incomes. I would go buy a similar fridge by another brand manufacturer if I could, but we’re not drawing the salaries we once did. LG expects us to wait ANOTHER 3 wks or longer to see if their tech can replace the compressor, again. When asked if they could overnight it - no, that’s not their policy. They are a disgrace!!!

Wish I never bought this dishwasher. I had it fixed when it was less than a year old, replaced a plastic wheel that used to be made of metal. It made a loud screeching noise. Makes noises off and on that are LOUD. You never know when this will happen. Soap door doesnt always open. Top rack started rusting out in the second year. Was told too bad so sad, not covered, ever. When I called for service, cant remember which problem it was, there are more, was told they wouldnt come out because they were having a problem getting paid from LG. Great! Call back in a month or so, well see if they are paying their repair bills! Ok! Called LG for another extended warranty, they said no. Its up to them, and because Id already called, I guess they knew they would have to pay out on it, so they wouldnt extend it. Now I also bought the double 30 oven, and I love it!!! NO problems, its been just over two years now.

It seems bent and lower than level at left front of the plastic tray. When I called to report the problem, all LG wanted to hear was, Did you purchase an extended warranty? I did not. I received a call back a few days later informing me that LG will not help me. The best they will do is to refer me to a plumber at my cost. No, thanks!!! We purchased this LG refrigerator (LFXC24726D $3,022.99) from HDP in 2016 and have had the compressor to go out in Sept. 28, 2018. We lost all of our food, which they did not replace. This just happened to occur a year after the loss of my husband. This added to the agony of lifes challenges. Now less than 3 months later the freezer goes out. This is now the food in the freezer lost. LG initially said there would not be a charge for the repair. The technician arrives and tells me that there is a charge because this is a different issue not related to the compressor. On December 26, 2018 (my birthday) I called LG and was on hold for an extreme amount of time, only to get transferred again to speak to supervisor Sharon to tell me that there will be a charge; but as a courtesy they will give me a one time credit for the loss of my food in the amount of $125.00. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! $125.00 FOR WHAT HOUSEHOLD IS THIS!!! We lost all of our food in September 2018 and then on December 24, 2018 we lost all of the food in the freezer! I explained the age of this refrigerator to the LG representative Sharon, the issues and all the loss incurred. She proceeded to tell me that there is no one else I can speak to (before I could even ask) and that I would have to pay the service fee. LG SUCKSSSSSS!!! After all of the food we have lost at Christmas!! I am so sorry to have ever purchased this refrigerator. I am even more regretful to have any LG products in our home at this low grade of customer service. I am no longer an LG supporter and advise anyone who is spending their hard earned dollars to spend it where it will not be wasted like this because this just is not right. I AM SO UNHAPPY WITH LG!! They could have easily diffused this situation by not charging me the service fee; how awful and unprofessional!!

I was on the market for a new fridge but I didnt do so with a specific brand in mind. The LG I have now just so happened to be what I preferred when wholly considered, monetarily included. Along with a lot of others Im sure, my favorite part was of course the ice/water section built into the door. It made life that much more convenient, which is something we as a species crave seemingly primarily, convenience. The side by side design was weird to me at first, I mean compared to the traditional top and bottom design which has the homey feeling of childhood, that felt more like staying the night at a buddies. But over time Ive grown to love it overall.

The LG microwave (MW MC7688) was purchased by me on 30.11.2008. On 21.08.2012, we went for AMC, which is from 21.08.2012 to 20.08.2013. Some of the parts were not functioning so we lodged the following complaints: RNA ** dated 19.01.2013, RNA ** dated 23.01.2013, and RNA ** dated 31.01.2013. The service technician visited and verified the oven. He confirmed that one part is to be replaced, but that part is not available as the company has stopped manufacturing that model. Subsequently, Mr. ** called on 09.02.2013, and confirmed that the model is out of stock, and that the company will pay back 15% of the purchase cost. Then we spoke to Mr. Manish ** on **. He conveyed point blank and asked us to do whatever we want, but we will get only 15% of the purchase price. The purchase price was Rs. 8,499/- and 15% comes to Rs.1,275/-; whereas, we have already paid Rs. 815/- for the AMC cost.Is it our problem that the company has stopped production? If that is the case, then why was AMC taken? We need the part to be replaced or a replacement of a new oven.

I purchased a beautiful French door refrigerator (Model LFXC24796S) from the Home Depot in November 2017, by September 2018, the compressor has already gone out on this fridge. I purchased the extended warranty through Home Depot and the soonest they could send someone out was three days later to look at it. I was told parts had to be ordered because the compressor went out and it would take 3-5 business days. It has now been day 5 and I have received no contact from the service people and Home Depot and LG are giving me the runaround. Meanwhile we are at home living out of coolers for 11 days now with a beautiful looking $2,700 piece of crap. Threw away over $300 worth of food. I am so disappointed at LG and Home Depot for not doing something to make it right. I am about to drive this fridge to Home Depot and demand my money back. DO NOT EVER BUY AN LG fridge! Even the service technician who came out told me that all of these type fridges break very easily. Installed unit from 7/15/2016. Morning 12/24/2019 wife noted dripping water into unit from front upper ice maker. Upper 56/lower 54 degrees. Merry Christmas, family coming, 12lb ham for Christmas & 10lb brisket for Christmas Eve. Immediately connected with LG phone & Clark the virtual voice response system. After 2 quick checks on virtual phone; 1) Yes unit is level and doors closed, 2) No change in fridge 37 degree setting recently; Clark at main office determined required service person & sent text message to file form online. Performed immediately & attached scanned copy 12/24/2019 of all prior receipt/invoicing paperwork for original install. Confirmed upon completion same time that original registration was in system by logging onto original registration account. NO RESPONSE after confirmation online that they had received my input or assigned anyone from local service. On 12/26/2019 evening located 2 available LG service centers in area from LG website, still no follow-up directly and no means noted to do such. Left voice message with one local service center 12/26. Next morning 12/27 called them again and resubmitted my invoice/installation paperwork for warranty confirmation to them via email & scheduled earliest available service visit for Tuesday 12/31/2019. Diagnosis 12/31 -> failed compressor. LG class-action lawsuit noted; still no follow-up from LG Main Office directly after original online submittal & confirmation of receipt. Local service anticipates once LG receives their paperwork end of day when he returns to office & LG re-certifies/validates original purchase/registration; then typically 7-10 business days for LG to send parts to them. Different person will install compressor once they reschedule fix/install. Warranty paperwork indicates Parts on LG, all labor on me. Wish there was a direct way to speak with a real person at LG main office to address issues & receive proper confirmation of path forward for wife/family planning next few weeks without fridge/freezer - Ouch! LG WT4670CW Clothes Washer - This machine is alleged to be self balancing.
LG WT4670CW Clothes Washer - This machine is alleged to be self balancing. If it fails to spin in out of balance, it refills the tub, churns a bit and tries again. It may do this several times and not succeed. At which point it leaves it up to the user to shuffle clothes or remove clothes to continue. It is likely to fail again and go through additional cycles attempting to balance. This uses immense amounts of water and time. If it fails completely it may leave the tub full of water with no manual way of emptying it to start over. This machine is supposed to allow the washing of 10 pair of jeans or your bed spread or whatever. Good luck. This particular model is quite poorly designed. At something over $500 this item is a one year throwaway. We replaced an old front loading Gibson with this that was ten times the machine this is. We paid $100 bucks for it at a yard sale. I dont know about other LG models but this one is very poor.

I actually LOVE my LG Tromm Washer and Dryer and have had very good luck with the company. Im responding because Ive seen numerous complaints about clothes and towels smelly moldy. I too had this problem with bath towels. Its not the fault of the washer, but rather it is using too much detergent and/or not using HE detergent.Heres what you need to do to get rid of the smell, but it will require two cycles: 1) Wash items with 1 cup of vinegar and no detergent. Add vinegar directly to load not the dispenser; and 2) Wash items again using 1 cup of baking soda and no detergent adding it to the load not dispenser. Wash items on the hottest setting possible. The moldy smell should be gone. From here on out ensure that youre using HE detergent and use the absolute bare minimum as HE detergent is highly concentrated. Any residue left on clothing or towels will act as a binding agent, hence the moldy smells. Good luck!

Bought the washer and dryer in August 2011 (washer is WaveForce top loader). At first I loved it! I have 2 small kids and a dog so I wash a load daily at least. Got the software update notice so had that done. Noticed I would get the uE or UE code fairly often after that. Then one day no matter what setting I used it would get to the rinse cycle and never put water in it, wouldnt dispense my fabric softener, and just flash 22 min and then after a while stop and give me the UE code. So then I have to stop the unit, choose rinse/spin and then the fabric softener will be dispensed. Then when that is done, my clothes are still way too wet, so I have to choose spin only to try to get more water out. Sometimes I run it a few times and its still too wet. Called LG several times, downloaded the app to figure out what was wrong. Couldnt figure it out. Finally had LG repair place come to figure out whats wrong. $50 later I was told I need a new main board. So today 12-12-14 I had the repair guy out and he replaced the board. He ran his test washes (with an empty washer mind you) and it seemed fine. He left and I needed to wash what I had let pile up some because I knew it would be fixed...first load a light blanket. Washed it a hundred times before. Washer gave me same error codes at the same time. I called the company and was told service guy is out still. I called the cell phone of the service guy because he called when he arrived and left 2 vms and no reply back. Called LG to complain and am so tired of some idiot overseas talking in circles from a manual!!! So it was $190 today and its been almost 5 hours since they left and I just started a smaller load #3. I have 10 people that will be here over holiday and this is what I have to worry about! Towels and clothes starting to have a weird smell. They arent getting clean or spun out enough. And when I cant spin enough water it makes my dryer work harder. Thats next I bet. Worst experience with LG. Wish I wouldve seen this before. I always assumed LG was good. Never, ever, ever again!! Buyer beware!

My wife and I purchased an LG refrigerator a couple of month ago (model: LF
My wife and I purchased an LG refrigerator a couple of month ago (model: LFXS28968). Roughly, two weeks ago we got a code on the digital display screen indicating dH (Freezer) and F (refrigerator). I called in a repair request to your service department (the unit was still under warranty) and sent the service department both a sales receipt and a purchase order from the stored it was bought. They scheduled a service technician to come out to look at the unit. He never came to look at the unit but said he would order the part due to the nature of the display screen read out. He also told me that if the service department did not call me within three days I would be entitled to a new unit (I guess beyond that time the food would begin to spoil). After not hearing from anyone for the past three days I tried to get in touch with the technician at least five times by both cell phone and text messaging. Absolutely no response. Then, I called the service department which was no help at all. They could not get in touch with the technician nor could they trace the part which they claimed they ordered. They said they would look into it and get back in touch with me. Guess what? they never got back in touch with me. Then I had to get in touch with a supervisor who still could not reach the technician nor trace the supposed part. The next day I spoke to a different supervisor who again could not get in touch with the technician nor located the part. The next day I called and wanted to speak to a manager from the LG Corporation. Instead I spoke to another supervisor who indicated the part was ordered from Korean and was on its way.I asked her what kind of compensation would I receive for all of spoiled food (both the refrigerator and freezer). I received a mere $150.00. Instead LG could have resolved the problem by supplying me with a new unit within the three day time frame. They decided to prolong the problem and that stretched into two weeks. This has been one of the most frustrating situations I have ever been involved in. The level of incompetence, and lack of empathy towards their customers is incomprehensible. Seldom do I write reviews but this is an exception. I hope anyone who may be thinking of purchasing a LG refrigerator will do their homework on the LG brand. I will never purchase another LG product nor will I recommend this product to any of my friends.

I purchased this black refrigerator in Aug 2012 from Home Depot, Nashua NH. I noticed (especially the last year or so) that on the outside door, under the control panel/water & ice dispenser, that there was leakage of what seemed to be rust-colored liquid (?water). This has corroded the surface under the control panel & dispenser. I wrote to LG twice, knowing it was no longer under warranty, asking what I could do to repair this or what seemed to be causing this. The response from LG is below:As much as I want to help you regarding this issue, I wont be able to. Manufacturers warranty is designed to take good care of any failures in the early life of the unit. Aside from the one year warranty, there are also parts thats covered for 7-10 years like the Sealed System. After this will be expired, you would be responsible for any repair or replacement part for the unit that is not cover under warranty. If the unit was purchased 2012, this is already out of warranty. I apologize however we will not be able to cover the issue on the control panel. I wish I had a more favorable answer. But we thank you for letting us know your concern.

I bought this machine in March, 2016. I got a 10 year warranty and that was a selling point. Ive followed the manual to the T. I clean the water filters, tub clean every month, etc. So I am doing my due diligence. However, since the day I got it it hasnt done a load the same way twice no matter the setting. It doesnt use enough water and ruins clothing. I have a very bad back so I had to put a short hose to connect to my slop sink because it was taking a toll on my arthritis. It cannot even begin to do a heavy duty load! I always have to add more water to every single load so that nothing gets ruined. My old machine was 20 years old and did an incredible job compared to this piece of junk. I bought rubber foot holders to make sure it didnt move around which did work but the machine itself is useless. My husband has to wear fire retardant clothing to work, which is extremely expensive, and even when I add water it continues to destroy these from clothes faster than Ive ever seen a washer abuse clothing. The load sensor is useless. Its just there for bells and whistles. There is supposed be an app to tag on to the machine to do smart diagnosis. There is no such app available anywhere. But it says there is and gives step by step instructions on how to do it which takes up more pages in the manual than anything else in there. But its just filler to make it look good. This was a selling point I liked too, but as I said, its non-existent. Ive tried contacting them a few times but I dont get any response. None. I need to either get them to replace this with something that actually works or return my money. I should have bought the Samsung like was going to initially. Every time I try to use the Bulky/Bedding cycle it fills the tub to the very top and Im always afraid its going to overflow. Even if its not a big load it fills to the top. Now, this is supposed to be a high efficiency machine but I hardly call that efficient at all. I need something that works. On top of it all, I bought at H.H. Gregg near me which isnt even there anymore and I refuse to let them come look at it just to tell me I need a new main board, which seems to be the reason for everyones problems, according to all the reviews Ive read. LIFE IS NOT GOOD WITH THIS MACHINE! I need real help here. If anyone can suggest something positive that might get me a new machine that actually works, Im all ears.

Ive had LG phones with good luck, and I the look of this oven, but my previous two Whirlpool ovens performed better and were easier to clean up. The surface of this oven is for some reason hard to clean. Also, with hand washing using mild dish detergent, the print on the knobs is wearing off, and the stove is only a year and a half old. Because its considered cosmetic, and over one year old, LG will not replace the knobs. Ive never seen this happen, and at $45.00 per knob, am not pleased about having to replace them at 1 and 1/2 years. I wont be buying LG again and I wont be recommending.

Who is at blame, in customers being led to believe that LG makes wonderful
Who is at blame, in customers being led to believe that LG makes wonderful washing machines? I agree that we all need to bring about a class action lawsuit against them. I purchased my set of washer and dryer model WM2501H on black Friday of 2010. One month later, the repair man came out and replaced the main board. Everything is fine, until the load tries to balance. This can take 45 minutes and maybe more. You are supposed to be able to do large loads. I try 2 blankets, 1 pair of pants, 2 towels and a pair of underwear. The repair people said you should mix loads, so I did. This is not always possible for the two of us. After waiting 45 minutes, my husband stopped the machine and took out one blanket and it still took 10 minutes to balance. The repair people dont tell you how your machine will age much faster by wasting all this energy and wear and tear on the machine. So much for a lower electric bill. I will never buy anything made by LG again.

Our LG dishwasher was installed 9 months ago and white marks (not water marks) are appearing at the top of the panel and on the handle. We only use stainless steel cleaner and are not able to remove the marks as it appears the finish is coming off. One of the marks on the handle is the size of a quarter. LG is unable to help as its a cosmetic issue. Is anyone having problems with the finish on their dishwasher? Wed like to determine whats causing the problem to avoid further marks. I hate to see what the dishwasher is going to look like in 2 years...

I purchased a whole house full of LG appliances in October of 2011 (Washer, Dryer, Dishwasher, Stove, Microwave/hood, and refrigerator). I have had many issues with the washer. The washer worked fine initially and gradually started having issues from unbalanced loads to not spinning enough and leaving the clothes soaked requiring extra spin cycles. I purchased this particular model for the load capacity. You would think it would be able to handle what it was made for. In August of 2013 LG sent out a recall for unbalanced load issue. An Authorized repair company came out and did the software update. Frankly the full of clothes and water with the lid locked from no power. They replaced the board (reluctantly) and we were operational until April of 2014 when the board blew again. Our first course of action was to call the authorized repair company back, but they would not talk to us over the phone and wanted to come out and charge us for a service call to service the machine as well as labor to replace the part, if in fact they felt they should warranty it. LG also no help at this point, the machine was out of warranty and not their problem. Since we knew what the problem was and were not fond of repair company anyway, we ordered the part ourselves online and put it in. This one lasted all the way to almost the end of September 2014, again blowing with the machine full of clothes. I have now purchased a new machine (not LG) and will be sending LG copies of all the paperwork, from original purchase all the way to current purchase. I doubt they will do anything for me, the machine is clearly a piece of junk sitting in my garage. Unfortunately, this is not the only one of their appliances I have had issues with. The microwave has had just about every part in it replaced in the span of a couple months, some of the parts multiple times. This was also a big hassle to get repaired. The LG tech fixed it the first 2 times and then it got pushed to yet another authorized repair company, for multiple visits changing out a part at a time. It would have been cheaper for them to just give me a new one. LG is now banned from my house. I will never purchase another one of their products, no matter what it is. I also recommend to everyone I know, to stay away from the Large Garbage. So far they have not stood by their products. I did not purchase an extended warranty, but I have never had issues like this with any appliance I have ever purchased and they have lasted well over 3 years. Not to mention these dealers want to charge at least 1/2 of the purchase price for these extended warranties, which is ridiculous.

I brought a LG refrigerator in 2018. It stopped cooling after 8 months. It took LG 5 months and 4 attempts to repair before they decide it could not be repaired. So they replace it with another new refrigerator in Dec, 2020. Now here we are 13 months later Feb. 13 2021. The replacement stop cooling. They schedule an appt for Feb. 23, 10 days out and they are going to have to try at least 3 times to repair it before they can replace it. DONT BUY LG REFRIGERATORS. THEY ARE JUNK. LG need to stop working on the technology and work on the quality of their products. What the need of a smart refrigerator that dont know how to keep cooling which is the main object of a refrigerator.

I purchased an LG refrigerator from Costco... Its a piece of junk and faile
I purchased an LG refrigerator from Costco... Its a piece of junk and failed after 1 1/2 years. Costcos web page claims if you buy a major appliance from them it will have a two year warranty. However, neither LG or Costco and their claimed concierge service are truthful. Its just not the case. I have been trying to get this resolved for two weeks. My family has no refrigerator... thus no cold food. It was planned for the rest of my family to come for Christmas. Now that is not going to happen as I have no way to preserve food and prepare it. Costco and LG have ruined the Christmas for my family. Never buy an LG appliance as they do not support it. Dont believe Costco...their two year plan and concierge service is a joke. I literally have been on hold with both of these companies for at a minimum of six hours and gotten nowhere. This is the worst product support I have ever had in my life...and I am no spring chicken.

We bought a gas LG range in November 2017, we got the matching refrigerator
We bought a gas LG range in November 2017, we got the matching refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and range after we bought a new house. We did not start using it until February 2018 when we moved into the house. Since that time the oven would periodically say it was at temperature but when you open the oven to put in whatever you were cooking you could tell that it was not up to temperature. At first it was sporadic and I thought at first I was doing something wrong. Then it was every time that you would try to use the oven it would not stay up to temperature. Called and got a repair person to come out, under warranty, and we were told the ignitor was bad and it was replaced. It was less than a month later that it was doing the same thing. The repair person came out again, said again it was an ignitor issue. Ignitor was replaced again. (This time it was not within the warranty period.) Its been a couple months since the ignitor was replaced for the 2nd time and it is doing it again. I will never buy another LG appliance again. When you own an oven you expect that you can use it. Just thankful that the neighbor doesnt mind me using their oven to cook my meals.
