I bought a house with Whirlpool appliances and I bought the extended warranty for all the appliances, I started to have issues with the refrigerator almost 4 months ago and still waiting for results, do not buy whirlpool products, every time you call the warranty department be prepared to spend at least one hour waiting for a customer representative. Buy LG or GE instead. These are excellent brands that I have owned in the past.

I purchased a new Whirlpool 29 cubic ft. french door bottom freezer Refrigerator 11-22-2013. On 4-18-2014, I noticed water on the floor and realized my ice maker had quit working and the ice melted. I called Stantons APL. where I purchased it from and a service tech came on 4-22-2014. He checked the fridge out and after five mins said this is a model that has a known defect in it and it would have to be totally rebuilt. I then called Whirlpool and told them I want a new Refrigerator. I told them I paid for a new appliance, not a rebuilt one. The Whirlpool rep said they would need a second opinion and scheduled a different company to come out for service. This happened on 4-25-2014 which by this time I lost all my food in ref and freezer. He was there about ten mins. and said its gone out and it will have to be totally rebuilt. He calls Whirlpool tech support to help him figure out how to take out bottom door because he didnt know how. WHIRLPOOL tells the tech they want him to tear my refrigerator apart and run diag. test on it to see how it performs under certain codes. I tell Whirlpool they can run all the test they want after they replace my refrigerator and my food. The Whirlpool rep says, That aint happening. So I say, Then I need to talk to your supervisor. After going through four supervisors, I finally get to the person who reluctantly agrees to replace the refrigerator and says give her 24 to 48 hours to make it happen. 60 hours, still waiting on a response. Will let you know what happens. Shame on you Whirlpool for deceiving the public.

This machine (Cabrio) is a piece of junk. It does not fill up with enough water to cover the clothes, even on deep wash and your detergent will still be sitting on top at end of wash and clothes are not clean. It was a $900.00 machine. We need to file a class action law suit. Worthless waste of money. Anyone know of any remedies to get a new machine from Whirlpool or of any class action suits?

I bought a portable Whirlpool dishwasher on Jan.16 2016. We didnt buy extended warranty. After all, it was suppose to be new, should outlive us. It wont drain, my husband took the top off to see if he could fix it since I was told by Sears that no repair person is available in our area. I am only 10 Km from Saint John N.B. He found he couldnt take the front or back off, its all one piece, he is 84 years old. Under the top, it shows different colored screws, which tells us it was a used one or had been re-conditioned. I am very disappointed in Sears, have been a customer for many years. Everything in my house is Kenmore except for the dishwasher, only because they had no Kenmore. I might add that it wasnt used much. Its just two elderly people and only used when we have company. I cant afford another one. I bought this one from 1,000.00 I won on Lotto Max. I am so upset about this. Appliances should last longer. My Kenmores have.

We got our Whirlpool french door refrigerator with freezer on the bottom (Model: GX5FHDXVY04) in June 2010. In the past six months, the refrigerator portion loses cooling and temperatures go to the 60s or 70s. We found out that by turning the unit off until it defrosts, it will work again for awhile. Weve had water overflow on our wood floor. When this happened the third time, I called Whirlpool to send a repair person. The person I talked to said it could be over $400 to repair and that it would be more economical to get an extended warranty for about $314, which I did. I did not receive the contract via email (it may have gotten lost in spam). The repair man came and said yes, this was a common problem due to a design flaw and that it needed a $6 part to make the water drain smaller - so that too much air didnt get in.It was May 1st before the repair could return to install it. This was done and we thought - expensive but its taken care of. Today, May 5th, the same problem happened and I have to throw away food again. Its the weekend and there is not a repair person available for two weeks - I got an order number and may request that the repair come sooner. To add insult to injury, I found out that the extended warranty is good only up to $450 and not good for any repair that might be needed in a year. Most of the repair goes to travel to get to Fairfield and labor and we have used most of the warranty already.

Microwave Model # MH1150XMB# - I have had this microwave for 6 and 1/2 years. It came with the condo I purchased. Shortly after I moved in, I noticed hairline crack in the frame near the handle. I have replaced this door once and now the second door has done the same exact thing - formed these hairline cracks in the door frame. This is a defective product and needs to be taken care of by Whirlpool. But you keep denying the problem. No one can afford to replace a door every year. The microwave still works, but the door has fallen apart. The remainder of the microwave works fine.

Absolute junk. Bought an entire matching set 2 years ago. Fridge, microwave, dishwasher and oven. Oven is the most user unfriendly thing I have ever bought. That’s my fault. Microwave failed. 300 to replace. Ice maker in side by side fridge failed, another 300 dollar fix. I used to have a field mouse or two get into the house every year. Don’t have that problem anymore because the fridge is so loud it scares them off. Talking to Customer service was the most frustrating thing of all. They think if they say your name in a nice soft tone long enough it will make everything ok. Mother and father raved about Whirlpool products. How times have changed. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of these products. Also, look up the other brand names made in the same factory and steer clear of those as well. I used to think appliances were all the same. How wrong I was. Do your research. It will save you a bundle in the long run.

I will never purchase from Whirlpool again. After 3 years of use in a 2 - person (adult) household, my Whirlpool Duet (WFW94HEXW2) washer suddenly stopped working with an F6 E2 error code. I unplugged / plugged in the machine, took off the top & checked connections, and let it sit overnight. I could not get it working. Speaking to a local repair technician via phone, he indicated it is likely the control board. Whirlpool changed that part from part number W10406632 to part number W10427967. Before spending the money on a service call, he suggested I contact Whirlpool to see if it is under recall. I contacted Whirlpools customer service. They told me the washer is not under recall but I may qualify to purchase their Repair + 1 service. When I expressed frustration at spending so much on a product that lasted only 3 years I was told This is not a known quality issue or recall. I will document a complaint for you. The chat session was then terminated by the customer service representative. We will spend over $300 to replace the part that Whirlpool obviously knows is flawed. However, I will not pay for an additional Whirlpool repair service to fix something that should not have broke in the first place. And Whirlpool (including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn - Air, etc.) will never get our business again.

Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine WTW8800YC0 - My washing machine that I purchased a little over 3 years ago apparently is a piece of junk. Ive noticed a smell in the past few months, even while using Affresh. Now, its making so much noise that we must close the laundry room door while the washer is on. I called customer service and they will sell me a new 1-year warranty for about $345.00. Customer service thinks it sounds like the motor or the gear box! After reading the reviews on this washer, its not worth it to repair. More trouble looms for us. Whirlpool doesnt stand behind the product and as many complaints as there are, the washer shouldnt even be sold anymore! Never buy Whirlpool!

I have never had such a horrible experience in my life as I have with Whirlpool. Refrigerator ($2,500) broke within three months, and then broke again another two months later and hasn’t worked right since. They have the most horrible customer service, parts are on back order, I’ve had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food because everything keeps freezing but they do not care. Ice machine has been broken for over a month for the second time. They are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Buyer beware. Do not buy anything from this company. Their products are the worst and they have zero customer service. Good luck if you buy something and it breaks. You might as well just buy a completely new appliance.

Purchased double range ovens. Enamel is flaking off within 2 years. Whirlpool denies defect. They wont replace it. Any other folks with similar problems? What can I do to have it replaced? I remember the old ovens and how the enamel just stayed and stayed and stayed. Never a rust or flaking issue in those old time models. Any expertise on how the enameling process may be compromised in the newer manufacturing process (cutting corners or costs). Any options for a class action here if a commonly experienced occurrence? If similar experience drops comments/review below as a one liner - just state enamel defect. That way can figure out the number of folks with issues. Id like to take action if given the opportunity, and more so if this is a common occurrence. Lawyers are costly for one-off complaints, but there is power in numbers (think United Airlines).

Purchased Whirlpool free standing smooth top range at Sears Outlet (scratch & dent) in Columbus, OH on December 8, 2012 for a rental property. On May 18, 2014, tenant said she turned the oven on to preheat and turned on one of the front burners. She said she was at the sink preparing food and heard a loud noise; turned around and there were flames coming from the top of the stove. This didnt sound logical so I called fire department and spoke with one of the firemen. He said there was no evidence of anything in the oven or on top of the stove. Tenant said only thing she noticed is that there was a clicking noise coming from the stove a few days prior. After reading all of these complaints, I dont think I will buy another smooth top Whirlpool electric range. Luckily no one was hurt.

We purchased a new side by side black finish refrigerator. There is a design flaw in the water/ice dispenser. The bottom of the dispenser has no edge so any drops of water run down the front of the refrigerator! This leaves constant watermarks down the front. 2. The finish scratches very, very easily. I would not recommend this finish to anyone with children or pets. When you open the door if your ring touches the surface it will scratch it! There was NO user manual on care and I used paper towels to clean. Big no no, as now I have fine scratches on the front. I would never buy this product again because of these flaws. I have a 7 month old refrigerator that looks 7 years old and it is just my husband and myself! Love the inside, hate the outside.

Our 2005 whirlpool duet washer steel drum and plastic tub broke. My husband
Our 2005 whirlpool duet washer steel drum and plastic tub broke. My husband diagnosed the problem and opted to fix it to save money. The parts are under warranty but you still pay labor and technician visit running up to $250-$300. The plastic tub was obtained only if we paid for it $100 and the steel drum they sent under warranty. The plastic tub has a hole with a black plug and sensor in it. There is a discrepancy in the measurement of the old tub and new tubs hole that is slightly larger, therefore when installed a steady stream of water leaks out. I now have 3 plastic tubs as that was their solution, to send more of the same that did not measure correctly. An investigation was done to determine they were the correct parts. As asked we had a whirlpool technician come to verify parts were correct and being installed correctly and the parts sent would not fix the machine due to the hole discrepancy. Many calls were made to whirlpool and they continue to give me the runaround. They now are not taking their technicians information. The technician has given the information to 3 sales reps in the new england area and made several phone calls to whirlpool and no one is willing to give us a solution.

I bought a whirlpool cabrio with high hopes. Unfortunately, it has been the worst washing machine I have ever had. Then I moved in with my fiance and he too had a cabrio. It too is a piece of junk - and brand new! Every load comes out with left over residue and the clothes look worse than before they went in! I have tried everything and I do mean everything! IM 41 y.o. - IM well aware of how to load a machine. I load it just the way the instructions say: as if there was an agitator there. Ive tried using no laundry detergent or fabric softener - clothes still come out disgusting. Ive made sure the screens are clean, doing extra small loads, turning on the extra rinse, everything! Ive called whirlpool, but there is no such thing as customer service anymore. They just blamed me for not loading the clothes properly and blew me off. The machine becomes unbalanced very easily (it is leveled on the floor), sometimes the clothes are still soaking wet at the end of the cycle and sometimes all knotted up. This is a horrible machine!! I wish I could say it makes me feel better that IM, by far, not the only one having issues with this piece of junk!

We bought a small refrigerator/freezer Model WRT112CZJZ for a guest house. When not in use it was turned off at the unit control panel with the doors left open. There was a power failure and when the power was restored the refrigerator turned itself back on. Needless to say it must have been running for 2 weeks with the doors open and the condensation filled the holding tank and then proceeded to overflow on the wood floor. The floor was ruined. There was no indication in the manual to warn of the unit restarting when power is restored so it must be unplugged or the circuit breaker turned off to avoid a similar problem.

I had started the dishwasher and had gone to bed last night. I came downstairs ten minutes later to get a bottle of water. There was smoke throughout my downstairs levels. Our Whirlpool Gold Dishwashers control had dark, noxious smoke emitting from it. I tried to turn it off but it was too hot to touch. I went to the breaker box and shut it off there, turned on fans, and went back to bed. This morning, it turned the electricity back on. It started smoking again. I tried to cancel the cycle but it wouldnt cancel. I opened the door to stop the cycle and it continued spraying water and still wouldnt shut down. I had to shut it off at the breaker again. Next problem is my refrigerator, washer and dryer are all on the same breaker. UGH! This is the second Whirlpool I have had. The first one had a rusted tub that leaked into our basement. The repair guy said he had never seen that before...sure...why would you put something in a dishwasher that would rust out on you? Whirlpool, NEVER AGAIN. Whirlpool 29 cu ft French Door Refrigerator WRF989SDAM - We purchased this
Whirlpool 29 cu ft French Door Refrigerator WRF989SDAM - We purchased this refrigerator September 2013 for our new home. We moved in November 18, 2013. The refrigerator made a very loud buzzing/humming noise from the beginning and did not make enough ice. The shop we bought it from came on 2 occasions to work on the ice maker and finally totally replaced it. Then the rack on the bottom of the left door fell out and contained glass jars of pickled vegetables. They broke and made a big mess and etched our travertine tile floor. We called the shop and they sent their son out who put the rack in with duct tape which of course did not work so we took it out and put it in the cabinet. We had to pay to have the tile polished to remove the etching. On the weekend of November 15, 2014 the humming noise was so loud that we called the repair person again and they came out on November 17, 2014. At first they thought it was a fan motor but the freezer started making a loud noise and the owner came and said the compressor was going out. Our food was beginning to thaw and we asked if they could at least loan us a refrigerator to use. They brought us an old small fridge which was put in the garage. We took all our food out there. They came November 25 and picked up the fridge to be repaired. We had been told the warranty was out but after calling your company they were told Whirlpool would cover parts and labor. Today is Thanksgiving Day and we can not cook a big meal due to the small fridge and freezer and we are buying bags of ice every day. We have family visiting and must go out for dinner. We have no idea of when our refrigerator will be returned to us. This has been an expensive and disappointing experience. I would never recommend your refrigerator to anyone due to this experience. I really feel we should have been offered a new refrigerator at a discount. We bought all our appliances from Dons Appliances in Okeechobee, FL 34974 and they are all Whirlpool. This refrigerator cost $2299 and our total order was $9,642.84. We would appreciate a response from your company.

This is about my Whirlpool washing machine that has abruptly stopped working. My Whirlpool washing machine was bought in 2013 and was running [absolutely] great until Tuesday October 3, 2017. I called customer service and they said it was out of warranty. My Whirlpool washing machine model number is: WTW48008Q0. Serial number is: C34923747. I do not have the money to get this machine fixed. I am already a struggling mom, working hard to pay bills and I am already falling behind on most of them. I just had death in my family and now the machine dies - well there seems to be no end to all of this. I would really appreciate Whirlpools help in getting my machine up and running again. I have been a loyal Whirlpool customer over the span of more than two decades. I am a Whirlpool fan. My past machines have lasted 12 plus years on upwards to 15 years each.Let me share exactly what my washing machine is doing: I went to wash clothes as usual the other day; the machine filled up and stopped abruptly - that was it! It did not spin but instead emptied the water without washing the clothes and made some loud chitty chitty bang bang noises before it was all over. I unplugged it after wasting a lot more water thinking that it might just suddenly start working. It did not start working again, it just continued its non-working status. My family has bought Whirlpool washing machines and dryers for years from Sears; we were totally satisfied with the products we purchased, however, this washing machine did not make the five year mark. I really do not know what is going on with the machine; what I do know is this - it stopped working and I would like to get it working again. Hopefully it is not defective by design. #WhirlpoolWasherDefectiveByDesign. I found Whirlpool washing machines to be very reliable and would love to continue my great relationship with Whirlpool.

In November 2014, I purchased a Whirlpool 22 cu ft side by side refrigerator from my local appliance store. During that short time, there have been 4 instances where the ice clumps together and gets stuck, causing a large amount of ice to dump inside the freezer door. When the door is opened, the ice falls out onto the floor. I usually spend 10 minutes picking up ice and wiping up my kitchen floor. I have had the local store repairman over. He told me that was normal. Two things are seriously wrong with that statement. When I spend 1600.00 for a brand new appliance, I should be able to depend on the fact that it will function in at least a somewhat acceptable manner. Additionally, that statement by the repairman convinced me that he was not really interested in fixing the problem. I really dont think the normal operation of a new appliance is for it to make frequent, large messes for the owner to clean up. This appliance is junk and you would be foolish to purchase it. Spend a bit more money and buy a Samsung or LG. Save yourself the frustration and sense that you have been cheated and deceived by Whirlpool. I will never buy this brand again.

It would heat by resetting (turning valve off, waiting a minute and then lighting) but after a few minutes, it would fail again. I called the customer service and they mailed out a new upper sensor. When it came a few days later (I paid for shipping), I installed it but the same failure code. Again, the only heat I could get was by resetting the valve several times before a shower. I called customer service again, told them what I did and they said, Oh, the problem is the gas valve then. So they mailed out a new gas valve unit. It then came a few days later and I installed it according to the enclosed directions to the letter. Still got the failure code and still had to keep resetting it to get any warm water before a shower.I called customer service again, told them what I did and he said, Well, did you flush the water heater with apple cider vinegar before you installed the new gas valve? I said, No, it wasnt in the enclosed directions to do so. He said, You should have done that and it would have worked. I will send out a new gas valve. At this point, I blew up. Two weeks with no reliable hot water. I told him I want a new water heater and he refused. I asked to speak to his superior. He said no. Dont ever get a Whirlpool product. Some other crappy company builds these turds.

I purchased my range, model #WEG730H0DW0 in April 2016. I am extremely dissatisfied with the product and the Whirlpool service. I guess its comforting to know that Im not alone. Ive had two problems so far. The first is with the broiler that clicks on and off. It took several visits and a new electrical board for the service person and me to figure out that the door has to be closed to broil. Not sure about all of you but I am used to keeping the door cracked open to be able to keep an eye on the food being broiled. Apparently there is a thermostat at the front of the oven designed to keep the electrical controls from getting overheated or from melting so when the door is cracked open the heat from the broiler hits that thermostat and the broiler is shut off.The people at Whirlpool are awful and rude. I made so many calls and described the problem in so many ways and not one person knew about this newly placed thermostat or thought to ask about keeping the door closed. It took me and my service tech over an hour of troubleshooting on his SECOND visit to figure it out. He looked up the specs and we figured it out. I wonder how many new electrical boards have been replaced when the solution is as simple as keeping the door closed. A stupid design. Also having the same problems with the knobs. They turn so easily that twice I have smelled gas and realized one of the knobs was turned ever so slightly (before the clicking sound to ignite the stove). Then the third time could have been deadly. I had friends come pick me up and we stood in the kitchen for a bit before we left for the entire day. When we returned the whole house smelled of gas. Someone inadvertently must have brushed up against the stove and the knob turned. My dog, thankfully is still alive and so are we. THIS IS NOT ONLY A STUPID DESIGN BUT A POTENTIALLY DEADLY ONE!! I am forwarding this message directly to Whirlpool in the hopes of getting my money back. I am replacing the range immediately and will never purchase a Whirlpool product again!

The oven has not worked correctly from day one. I have to use a thermometer plus after the correct temp is indicated I still have to wait another 15 minutes for the oven to reach the desired temp. Also have to set the temp for 25 degrees higher than the one I want. The burner that supposedly has two sizes in one is basically useless. Temps are not correct and sizes are misleading. There is a tiny groove around the outside edge of the stove top that gathers crumbs which are hard to clean out.

There seemed to be an issue with the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Pump. If a button comes off from your clothing or snap, etc., it gets trapped in the washer pump, causing it to crack and leak. Whirlpool on warranty only allows for one free change and anything after that costs $300.00. This is going to be the third time we are having problems with this and it is becoming, economically, a struggle for us. We have checked every button and snap to make sure they are fastened tightly, as well as any other type of items that may fall off in the wash and become trapped in the pump causing it to crack and leak. These pumps were poorly made and Whirlpool needs to be more aware of this problem rather than telling the customer that they are not aware of the situation.

I am so disappointed, angry and tired! Unfortunately, I listened to the salesperson regarding this feature and bought it hook, line and sinker! The Aqualift self clean system is a joke! It only cleans the bottom of the oven and that is after you mop up the water left in the bottom and scrub it. No amount of scrubbing even touches the sides, back or window, even after using the Aqualift feature 3 times! I spent hundreds of dollars only to be down on my hands and knees scrubbing to no avail. I have not seen 1 good review regarding this system. Shame on me for believing a salesperson and shame on me for not researching first. I will not make this mistake again!

I bought a Whirlpool fridge. On the 2/29, I called service for Whirlpool on 3/2. No one was able to come out until 3/5. So, I had the inconvenience of food being stored, time away from work, and food spoilage. The fridge was fixed and worked until I wake up today (not even a week) and the freezer is thawing out yet again. Again, I removed food and there’s more spoilage. I’m waiting for service to arrive some time today. I called Whirlpool and there is no compensation of any kind. I’m never buying a Whirlpool product again.

I too expected a whole lot more for the price I paid for Whirlpool WTW5000DW1 HE washer top load. Fuzz, grass, pet hair and food remain after washing. Had a repairman out to look at it. There is nothing wrong with it. He says they do not use much water to save money. Well, if I a have to wash everything at least twice am I saving money? Think. Will look into an old fashioned washboard next time. Frankly I think it is a scam. The HE Tide is more concentrated and my clothes do not come clean! Tried to get my money back from the company that sold it to me and I was told only if I were to buy the $900 Speed Queen. Someone’s making a lot of money from consumers who need washing machines.

I have had this machine (Indesit IWDE126 Washer/Dryer) for a very short time; the washer is great. It does a 20 minute daily wash which is good however the dryer part screws up everything you put into it and ironing, even with steam, makes no difference at all. The WORST part is the organisation DONT CARE. I wrote to the Chief Executive, Jeff Fettig, who neither acknowledged my complaint or responded to it. I made this complaint in October 2016 and STILL do not know what the outcome is. If you are reading this review I honestly would look elsewhere for a better machine. Try MIELE. They are expensive but 2000% better.

I hate this washing machine (Whirlpool Cabriolet) with every ounce of my being. That may sound harsh when talking about a washing machine. But, I assure you it is warranted. I have owned many washers in my day. This machine came to me after a family member passed away. The machine was almost new and had not been used very much at all. I found out very quickly that in order to simply wash a load of laundry could take as much as four hours. Every time you go to do laundry you get continuous codes and alarms. So it is a series of trips up and down the stairs to reset the machine, try to equalize the balance, and in many cases I have to unplug the machine and reset it all together. I have researched it extensively. And I have followed the instructions in the manual and from online instructional videos trying to resolve the multiple issues. I cannot wait to get an average everyday washing machine that is not too smart for its own good. I hate, hate, hate this machine!!!

Whirlpool finally said they would refund my purchase and I should see the money in about three weeks. That would be about a week longer than the refrigerator worked. I dont have the money to just get another one so I guess the family will be without a refrigerator for another month. That means shopping every day for perishable for a family of 10. I would not recommend another Whirlpool product. This is no joke, every time I called them one of the first things asked was Did you get the extended warranty? I purchased the Whirlpool washer in February 2019 and delivery was in March. As stated in my previous reviews for the manufacturer, and subsequent repair calls, three; from the first time using the washer, it didnt fill properly for the amount of the clothes in it. A piece of paper towel never got wet through the whole wash cycle. I had to resort to raising & lowering the lid numerous times to get to the correct water level; adding water with a container or just pressing down on the switch under the top cover; 4-5 count. Needless to say very time consuming. As for hot water for doing white clothes, forget about it! It seem to me its the same problems with this whirlpool washer thats been happening with most of the other reviewers/purchasers. Did Whirlpool ever think about taken back one of these problem washers and checking it out for themselves? Maybe installing a clear plastic lid to monitor water levels at different wash cycles? Hot water temps when called for? Are these negative reviews ever seen by Whirlpool? Or in the trade is it called.... JOB SECURITY? Any more detail required? Cabo

Clothes dont always come out clean. If there is anything more than 2 sheets in the washer, it becomes unbalanced and then goes through a rinse until the water is up to the top! You have to watch any heavy load for this! Today there were 3 sheets in the washer and sure enough it kept rinsing until I physically reached in and rearranged the sheets. Then when it was done and I pulled the sheets out to put in the dryer, they were SOAKING wet! I hate this machine and will NEVER get an HE washer again.

Despite my claim being submitted within the first 4 months of purchase, Whirlpool would not assist in solving our issue. We purchased all major appliances from Whirlpool, to furnish our new home in August 2021. All appliances were white. The top of our gas range began discolouring immediately following the first use. The inside of the four corners immediately began to ware due to heat. I figured Id have time to put my claim in, and thought to see if it got worse. Once I finally had time to deal with the issue, I contacted them only to find out that we only had 30 days from the date of purchase (of which included 3 months of waiting for the products to arrive) to claim the issue, given that it was considered Cosmetic. Easy fix, since theyd simply have to change the top of the stove, but Whirlpool denied our claim. Do not purchase this product, unless youre looking for a sub-standard product and customer service.

In January 2011, we bought several appliances and a refrigerator was one of them. The model number is G15VAXVQ01 which is a side by side, French Door Ref with water and ice on outside. We have had problems with the very cheap plastic drawers that are at the bottom of the refrigerator to hold vegetables and meat. We have to be extremely careful so they will not break when opening the drawers. As of late, the fruit and vegetables have been freezing. I went to change the temperature on the outside gauge and dropped the control to 33 degrees and it stuck there. I tried to unplug the refrigerator to reboot the system, to no avail. The temperature is stuck at 33 degrees which will freeze most of our food in a few hours. The freezer side temperature gauge does work.We also have problems with the ice/water machine. I pushed the water button a week ago and from then on, I couldnt get the ice to come on. I did unplug the refrigerator to reboot and then I was able to switch over to the ice, but I could not get back to the water side. Also, there is no crusher on this machine so the ice comes out in chunks. If we had to do over again, we would not buy a Whirlpool as it appears that they are not interested anymore in quality products and consider cheap junk something to be desired. Not by us! We will get this albatross fixed and see about getting rid of it. It is a buyer beware market so I suggest others beware of Whirlpool products.

I had to wait until the next week before they would come and install the new evap. By that time I will be without a refrig/freezer for 16 days. The Worst experience with Gold Series Mod WRF 757SDEM01. Purchased from Best Buy June 2016. $2215.00. Within 6 months The interior light began going dark within 6 months. Our very reputable warranty repair service ordered a part that did not repair it. Was only temporary. They did figure out that the circuit board was bad and promptly took care of our problem. Next I kept noticing water appearing on our wood flooring. Let it go because it only appeared sporadically. Called Whirlpool only to find out they switched to a warranty repair service that was inept and inexperienced. Said he could fix it. Blamed it on a freeze-over so I let floor dry up then re-started and refilled. Thought he did fix it cause it made sense. When reassembling he broke to upper freezer try glide. Then 3-4 weeks later I notice one morning water again on my wood floor. The dripping had been running beneath the wood slats and had seeped up through the joints. Now the flooring wood has swollen and will need to be replaced because of this. This is the second time I had to unload all food and store at neighbors and give away. Extremely poor engineering designs as each time the ice dispenser is used, nothing prevents ice from flying out onto the floor ever since day one. Same with water. The release does not shut down to prevent water or ice from pouring out onto the floor when removing any size cup. The refridge doors must both be opened to use the lower level drawer. Loses much cooling with having to always open both. Next, weve come home MANY times with the left refridge door partially open because of the difficulty of the mechanism to secure at closing. This happens to us 5 times a week for three years-honestly!. This was the only refridge we could find that would fit our opening in a 20-yr-old home. The fridge is so heavy one man cant pull it out of its opening. Only 2 very small wheels in front and skids in rear stick due to weight. Weve confirmed this is not a spigot leak from the ice maker. Finally (but probably not) the ice container allow much air in because of having to open the left door that your ice is always melted together plus it too small for a family of two and ice must be purchased when entertaining. And to top it off, the human that took the warranty call this time is foreign and my wife could not get them to get our last name spelled correctly nor the phone number correct after constantly repeating it. This unit and model is an absolute lemon. Im going out today to find another unnecessary $2500.00 to buy another.

Technician come on the service day and told me that it is $120.00 for the service call and Labor and parts are extra, first of all $120.00 to come to my house is first rip off, that is the reason Whirlpool on their website do not give any estimates on the service call. After checking the appliance he said main assembly is bad and needs to replace and that will cost more than the original purchase price - what a ripoff. He asked me to contact Whirlpool, they may help since this is the known issue with this model. Called Whirlpool and mentioned and they said it is too old to continue to operate so they cannot help. Ended up trashing the 2.5 year old dishwasher for the new GE dishwasher. Never buy a Whirlpool ever again even on sale. He told me they took the front loader design and just stood it up with no protection from garments and coins getting under the tub, through the under tub filter often and into the drain pump. You are kidding me? Almost $1000 for this washer and its so ill designed. I have read forums that this has been an ongoing issue for several years yet Whirlpool continues to build these. I dont vent to forums often but just now I finished removing the tub to remove 2 socks and 7 cents. Also, I had to remove the drain pump and found another 16 cents inside it. So far the pump has not been ruined but this time water is coming out from the machine so will probably be ordering another pump for it as well. The wife wants it out of the house tomorrow and not another cent spent on it. But it is only two years old. What do you do? If you are reading this because you are searching for a new washer do not purchase a Whirlpool! I have gotten nothing but grief and was put off by their customer service dept as well. I guess after fielding so many calls about the same thing they have been told to just put all the calls off as no big deal. I am sure Whirlpool is making a killing off the sales on this unit. The claims made during the sale convinced me. What a joke. Look around the internet and you will find hundreds if not thousands of the same issues.

Does not get your clothes clean. They come out of washer smelling due to lack of water. Darks have Detergent Residue on them. My t-shirts have holes in them. Bought this machine in 2010. Just purchased a Whirlpool top load with a Agitator and I am very pleased with the results. We never had any problems with Whirlpool products but this Cabrio should be taken off the market, faulty advertising. Talked to a Whirlpool rep and she told me to bunch up clothes and place around outside edges of machine for best results but did not see any difference. Do not buy this washer. You will be wasting your money and you will be buying a old traditional washer, with an Agitator is your best bet so you can control the amount of water you use. I hope this helps one that is thinking of buying the new technology top load Cabrio with HE.

I have spent 30 minutes trying to change light bulb under the oven and get the cover plate back on. I watched the film on how to do it, it was amusing to watch the struggle to get it on. It was amusing to say the least. Whirlpool watching it??? I do not believe whoever designed this worthless time consuming light cover never tested it one time, or it would had been more user friendly. It amazes me what kind of trash they can build for us consumers to have to deal with at times. Tomorrow this overhead piece of junk is coming out and being replaced by a non Whirlpool one. I am going to get a tractor and smash it into little pieces and put on side of street with a note saying this is what happens when you try for an hour to change the bulb.

Whirlpool Washer WTW8700EC + Dryer WGD8700EC. Bought to replace a 35-year-old Whirlpool set that is still working and had no repairs in that 35 years of ownership. Gave to family member and its working well. Was not a cheap item but well worth the money. It performs beautifully. I chose Whirlpool. It is a proven brand with a long history of reliability. When I bought my last Whirlpool, I bought the top of the line model washer and dryer. They say you get what you pay for and that holds true in my case as has with many others who believe it! So this time I did the same thing and bought the best top loader they had. It has many options I still need to learn. I just use it like the old machine and dont need to worry about types of fabrics or making mistakes. Just follow the instructions for detergent and softeners and all is good. This machine cleans as great as the old one without beating the clothes to death. New agitator design keeps from paddling the clothes, so I dont need to use the gentle cycle or medium to preserve the clothes. The dryer I can say is most efficient as I noticed it took far less time to dry, and notice a small drop in my electric bill and gas bill. I think this will be my last machine ever needed. I do take care of my things and I do clean and polish my machines, they are an investment like a car or house. Front loaders have a lot of problems with leaks from the doors. Will stick with top load only!

My husband and I purchased a Whirlpool water heater from Lowes about three years ago. We have had trouble ever since! The pilot light will not stay lit. We have done everything imaginable to try to repair it. Every time I call Whirlpool, I get the same reply. They email me some instructions on how to repair this piece of crap. I dont understand how they can make a product that they do not stand behind. Whirlpool use to be a reputable company, not anymore! I will never buy another Whirlpool product ever! And I will tell everyone that I come in contact with not to buy from them either. I am also considering filing a lawsuit against them for making such junk! Do not buy Whirlpool water heater.

I bought a Whirlpool Cambrio washer/dryer set last year. I hate them. They dont get the clothes clean, let alone wet! I couldnt believe it! I put my grandsons bib in the wash and it came out completely dry with the stuck on food still there. My husbands shirts still smell like the cologne he put on! I asked a Home Depot sales person about this and he says, yeah, we hear that a lot. !!!!!!! Im going back to a washer with an agitator so that I know my clothes are being cleaned. This whole water control business is insane. Whats the point if you have to wash the clothes several times to feel like they are marginally clean? The problem is that the industry has decreased the amount of models that still have an agitator so my selection is very slim. First and LAST time I ever buy Whirlpool.

We purchased this machine a couple of years ago... What a disappointment! Was recommended to me by the sales person and I trusted her. The machine does not get our clothes clean!!! We are a couple in our 60s so our clothes dont really get dirty most of the time, but they come out with marks on them all the time. My dish clothes and wash clothes are a disgrace! Im continually trying to soak them to try and get them to look clean. Ive been going to write this review for a long time, but today was the final straw. Washed a small load of towels and had to rewash several pieces! I would never recommend a Whirlpool product after this experience.

My husband and I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator, model number GI6SARXXF
My husband and I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator, model number GI6SARXXF04, serial number K20311478 on February 3, 2012. It was delivered soon after. In April of 2012 our ice maker quit working. We called The Appliance Doctor for service. They reset the control, and left saying that they thought it was fixed. The ice maker as a result was not fixed. They came out again, and stated that the ice maker needed to be replaced altogether. So they ordered the part and we waited for two weeks for it to arrive and be installed. By this time it was April 23, 2012.Then in June of 2013 we began having water pool in the bottom of the refrigerator and freeze, and water began to leak onto our hardwood floors causing them to buckle. We cleaned it up for a while thinking perhaps something had spilled, and busted up the ice on our own. The beginning of 2014 we called for service from Lanny Adams Appliance. The technician worked on it and stated that something was plugged up in the water line and he thought it was fixed, we paid for this service on our own. On August 14, 2014 we had another technician come out because it was not fixed. The technician came out and stated that it would cost another $219.95. He further stated that he thought that there was a recall of some kind, that I should look into it. I did look into it and printed out the Technical Service Pointer that was produced in November of 2013. When I called Whirlpool at that point, someone was sent to fix it. Of course I had already paid to have it repaired in February of 2014, Whirlpool stated that it was not their responsibility, which again it was not fixed until August of 2014. As a further note, my floors were never fixed because I have hardwood floors throughout my house and simply cannot fix the area in front of the refrigerator. My floor had just been refinished, and after speaking with the floor company that had just refinished my floors a few months earlier, they stated all of the floors would have to be redone or it would not match. Figuring Whirlpool is definitely not going to pay for that, I have just dealt with it, since it cost me over $3000.00 to have the floors refinished. Now, it is February of 2015 and the whole refrigerator is not cooling, and the freezer is not freezing. Again, I woke up to water in the floor on my hardwood floors, and have had to move all of my food to my ten year old Frigidaire refrigerator that is in my basement and has NEVER had a service call. After speaking with service company, they state it will cost $1200.00 to fix the refrigerator....REALLY? So, now I get to go spend a lot more money for a new appliance. You can bet it WILL NOT be a Whirlpool!I contacted Whirlpool again, and I spoke with Robin in your Customer Service Department after speaking with one of your Customer Service Representatives that stated I was basically on my own with the repairs. Robin stated that there was nothing Whirlpool would do, but she would agree to pay for parts and I will be left with the repair labor. Although your company may think that this is good customer service, I have to disagree given the fact that I have had nothing but consistent problems with the refrigerator since I bought it. At this point, I would like to ask you if in your opinion this is a good appliance? I asked Robin and she stated that I needed to buy an extended warranty. Dont you realize it isnt about the warranty? It is about the fact that I have had the appliance for 3 years and have had consistent problems. I believe the refrigerator is a lemon, and I would like it replaced.I have always trusted the Whirlpool name, but at this point, I do not see myself buying another Whirlpool appliance.

Whirlpool Corp. stands behind its products. Bought the Cabrio Washer in June 2011. Lid cracked in October 2012 and was not covered under the Lowes extended warranty because they called it a wear item. However, our local Lowes store in Avondale, PA replaced it for us. In December 2013, the lid cracked again. I called Whirlpool customer service and they couldnt do anything. I called the Whirlpool corporate headquarters and was directed to a member of their executive staff. After explaining my situation, Whirlpool agreed to send me a new door free of charge and even pay to have it installed (which I told them I can do myself). Aside from the cracking of two doors, this washer is an exceptional unit. Its good to see Whirlpool stands behind its products this way, outside of the warranty period. I would guess that they always hear a lot of whining and complaining, but it seems if you explain things logically, people listen and are willing to help.

Purchased this refrigerator, Model # WRS965CIAH on October 3, 2014. Paid extra for counter depth. Initially the refrigerator worked fine. After about 9 months we noticed the food in the back of the refrigerator especially on the top shelf started freezing. This started getting worse over the next 2 months. When I called Whirlpool 10/19/2015, 800-253-1301, I was told by their representative that this was normal, that air from the freezer blows into the refrigerator through vents and to just re-arrange my food so that it is not pushed to the back of the refrigerator. I asked him if this was normal why wasnt this happening in the first few months but only developed later? He had no answer. I asked him if it made sense if this was normal then everyone who buys this refrigerator has to make sure their food is not pushed to the back of the unit, then why dont they state that in the directions for use??? Ok everyone make sure every day you push all your food to the front of the unit so it doesnt freeze ridiculous. He just said thats the best thing to do. I asked him if I could talk to a technician, if maybe there was a way to fix it manually and he said there were no technicians there. I asked him if he knew about the lemon law and he said they dont have that there... ok. The refrigerator is just days after the 1 year purchase so he basically said just to call where I purchased it that Whirlpool could do nothing for me. Is this how Whirlpool trains their employees??? Good job Whirlpool, way to go. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. Will see how the repair goes and report back. Did not call sooner due to health issues. Its not like the refrigerator is years old and started to break down - this is within a year. Whirlpool doesnt care about quality. Will never buy Whirlpool again and will spread the word as often as I can.

Since then it has started to get spots on the control panel where you select size, temperature, etc. I also purchased an extended warranty through Home Depot and is still under warranty for 3 years. I was told for a few more days is still under man warranty. I contacted Whirlpool and they said it is not their problem and sounds cosmetic - I think this is unfair being that I spent a lot of money and it has started appearing on the washer and dryer. No one wants to be responsible. I am a consumer who is very careful and have not had any spills or cleaned it with anything.

I exchanged my fancy front loader Cabrio washing machine for a top loader a
I exchanged my fancy front loader Cabrio washing machine for a top loader after having numerous issues: clothes werent getting clean, extended water cycle, and a leak. The original purchase was made at Lowes, where I elected to invest in the 3 yr extended warranty plan. After several visits from their sub-contractor, they allowed me to exchange the washer for a top loader Whirlpool Cabrio. At first the washer seemed to work, but after about 8 months I started having problems. The bearings went out and when the service company replaced it they forgot to screw top of the machine together. During my first load, I heard this terrible noise and discovered that the entire top of the machine had separated from the bottom by 2 inches. I frantically rushed to turn the washer off before my laundry room flooded. So, they were out again and screwed the machine back together but failed to retrieve the original screw that they removed from the washer during the first round. Well, the screw got lodged in-between the drum and interior, causing it to completely break the machine. Lowes agreed to exchange the washer for another top loader Cabrio, but my 3 year service contract would not cover the new washer. Not to my surprise, I immediately had issues with it and had to hire a repairman to assess the problem, who concluded that it was the bearings. He informed me that it would be about $700 to replace the bearings and cheaper to just buy a new machine. I called Whirlpool and explained to them about all my issues, now becoming almost comical. They arranged for an outside contractor to assess it. After confirming that the bearing were bad they replaced them. Another few months go by before problems occur, this time the washing machine stopped draining water and spinning. The service company was out another 4 times. They replaced things like the mother board and control panel. My last appointment was today, where the service guy said, There is only one error code. It is a stuck button. I said, Will you at least witness a full cycle so I can show you all my problems: clothes still dirty and stinky, items still wet after spin cycle, cycle taking 2 to 3 hours to run, horrible noises, and timer adding minutes to original cycle. He called Whirlpool because he genuinely felt sorry for my situation. They were of no help. He didnt stay to witness a cycle. Moral of story: if the error code doesnt detect a problem, the consumer will not be helped (this is something that consumers do not have access to). They will happily call a technician out to put a bandaid on an issue until your warranty runs out. I have had between 7 to 10 service calls out to my house, requiring me to take either an entire or 1/2 day off of work each time. If I added up all time lost at work, I could have easily purchased a top-of-the-line washer/dryer duo and been done with all this Whirlpool foolishness. Do yourself a favor, stay away from this product.

We bought this washer brand new and as soon as it was outside the one year warranty the bearing went out. They had to order a whole new drum kit. A MONTH later I had a running washing machine again. The day after it was fixed it started leaking underneath the machine. Serviceman came and looked at it and said No must be the hoses (my responsibility to fix). Nope kept leaking and two months later Im doing laundry and an entire load of water floods my laundry room. Drum broke again!! SIX WEEKS LATER I still am waiting for a new drum. I had to fight to get Whirlpool to fix it again and they wont even return my calls about why its taking so long! We are a family of 8, so doing laundry at a laundromat is outrageous! Meanwhile I have had no hot water for 2 days. He told me do what I have to do and hung up on me. So I removed the heater and took it back to Lowes, where they were glad to give my money back. I purchased my Whirlpool washer and dryer Cabrio Platinum model in September of 2014 from Lowes and have never been so disappointed in a washer in my life. Not only was it the most expensive washer and dryer set I have ever purchased but it is the absolute worst in performance. It has destroyed most of my clothes and linens, doesnt get them as clean as my former Samsung front-loader, and is constantly twisting up the clothes, getting out of balance and requiring me to adjust the clothes once or twice during each wash cycle. On recent research, I have found that I am not the only one experiencing these problems. Whirlpool should RECALL this series entirely! And I intend to post this review every place I can to prevent future sales of this horrible product.

This machine, like all other water sensor machines, will not let you wash a few items that are lightweight without filling the whole machine up almost all the way. The reason being is that if the items are light, they will float in the water above the water level and the sensor thinks it needs to put more water in and even with putting something in to weigh it down like a wet towel doesnt always work, nor should you have to do this. You will waste more water in the long run if you only have a few items to wash, ie baby clothes, underwear, rags, etc. I am so disappointed that I had no other choice but to get this machine.

We purchased the Top Loader Cabrio in 2006 for $1100. About 1 yr. later it just stopped, but was covered under a recall. A year later it stopped working again and cost $400 plus we bought a 3 yr. service contract for $350. A few months after the service contract ended, the spin cycle got very loud and it started leaking grease and water. It now need a ball bearing and $600 of work. So now we spent almost $2000 for this washer in 8 yrs. Our Maytag was $400 and lasted 15 yrs and we gave it to someone else who is still using it and we never had it repaired. It sounds like Cabrio customers have been complaining about the same issues for several years but they keep recurring and Whirlpool is doing nothing to correct them. We are not putting more money into it after reading all the complaints. We are buying another washer and another reliable brand. I would have been a customer for life because I did like the way it worked and cleaned, although I hear so many people had problems with that so I am not waiting for that to fail too. And I recommended the Cabrio to several people who bought them and now I hear they are starting to have problems. You should stand behind your product and correct these problems and recall or fix them at a reasonable cost.

I also love the warming burner! Having that 5th burner in which to keep something warm, while you finish other things in the oven or on one of the regular burners is very helpful. Its also great for melting butter. The ability of the oven to delay the start of cooking and program cooking to finish at a certain time or in a certain amount of time is also very useful when you cant attend to starting or stopping cooking in the oven.
