Special features eg changing HE detergent conc. ratio for auto add feature in Load and Go is impossible to find, extra rinse doesnt work. No extra spin which would be useful for bulky loads. But preset cycles work fine and machine has very low vibration a big plus.

We purchased a new Whirlpool washer in March 2010. Yesterday, 2/19/12, the washer stopped working. We called a repairman who checked the machine and told us the motor needs to be replaced. We called Whirlpool today, 2/20/12, and were told by their customer service department that since we did not have an extended warranty. We told them that we believe the motor should last more than 2 years. Their response was that if the motor lasted more than a year that was all they cared about. The only thing they would do is replace the motor if we gave them $299.00. I think it is very clear that Whirlpool knows it makes inferior products as they fail to stand behind what they make. I will never buy another Whirlpool product and would advise anyone who is looking for a washer to buy something other than Whirlpool.

Never ever plan to buy a Whirlpool product. I took the washing machine in December 2008. System was not got at first time also. I called service center, and he came and asked to put this and that. Again, it got a problem. This time, he told me to change powder. I was shocked how a powder became a problem for its failure in washing clothes. Next, he told me to put a stand. After a long interval of 6 to 7 months, I got fed up and called him again. He told me it was not in the warranty. Its the worst service. Zero percent satisfaction Hats off to Whirlpool service. Please, friends, never buy cheap Whirlpool products.

I cant even tell you how disappointed I am. This washer has destroyed my clothes and towels. Ive tried to reach out to company but they want me to call for service. What would I call for? Washer works, it just makes holes in clothes, in towels. There are so many complaints about this. If anyone know how to begin a process like this, please let me know. Trust me, when I write a review about something, its got to be either really good or really bad. I dont have time to write things like this.

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 6300 washer based off the salesmans recommendation (not very happy about this). After the warranty ran out, every time in the spin cycle, it makes a sound similar to a piece of metal banging around inside the cylinder during the cycle. Our friends have told us they had a similar experience and for their machine, they found out the bearings were going out. Weve had this machine a total of 3 years. I doubt we ever buy another item from HH Gregg plus will do our investigation on Consumer Buyers digest before we toss any more money out for a washing machine.

It goes off balance, frequently. It is moldy and stinky. I wipe it out, use a cleaner and leave the door open, but it still stinks. I am getting rid of it and buying a Speed Queen top loader. I am extremely disappointed in the front loader Whirlpool.

I have always like the Whirlpool brand in general. It is a well known company and the products have always been of quality. I will say that recently I discovered that Whirlpool will only allow their own technicians to work on more current washers and driers and that is concerning since I have always used a technician I know and trust.

We purchased a cabrio washer about 3 years ago and have had trouble with coins getting into the drain pump and cracking it. We have repaired this at least 5 times and dont understand why the washer allows this to happen. Yes we do accidentally leave coins in our clothes but we have not had this problem with other washers. Clothes also have odor.

I bought Whirlpool Cabrio washer two months ago (Model number : WTW7300DW0). They indicate washer use less water and clean better, but that is not true. Some clothes on top of the load were not even getting wet and clothes smell bad after washing. Even worse is that clothes got holes in many places and some clothes were totally destroyed after washing. In just two months, I have to throw away many of my towels and clothes. I dont believe this kind of washer should be sold again. This should be a recall to give us a replacement ASAP and remove any products still in the market. There are many complaints online, I hope someone will stop this and do the right thing.

Purchased this set in January of this year 2016. The loudness of this machine struck me first along with the constant banging of the pipes in the basement when filling with warm water. The agitator is very loud. Thought I was trading up from a 10 year old Whirlpool front loader set. There is hardly any water in the washer when running a full load. I take clothes out that are not only a twisted tight mess but in some spots are not even wet!!! The dark clothes inevitably need to be rewashed because there is white residue on them!!! I have used the pods and liquid and it doesnt seem to matter, happens with both. Customer service has no answers and say theyve never heard this before.How can this washer wash clothes when there is no water and little if any movement of clothes??? And how is it that we are all saying the same exact things and Whirlpool is not being held accountable??? I DONATED my working fine set to a dog rescue and am now stuck with a brand new machine that works PERFECTLY HORRIBLY. So who is watching you Whirlpool???

I purchased a Whirlpool washer in 2010. It has started to rust. I called the customer services dept. They told me that there was nothing they could do about it because it was over a year old. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. She told me the same thing. I told her that its not as if Im looking for a new washer. She said that there was nothing they could do; I had to pay for the repairs myself. I told her, After spending almost $1,000 on a washer, I have to pay for the repairs? She said, Yes, maam. I asked if I could speak to someone over her. She said that she had to take down my name and number and someone would call me back in 24 hrs ... from the management team.She asked for my number and not my name and said someone would be calling back. I told her, How are you going to forward the message without a name? Maam, Im sorry. Whats your name? I doubt if anyone will be calling me back. Whirlpool customer service sucks! They dont know how to treat their customers. Watch out for the warranty. What they call a warranty is not.

I purchased a Whirlpool washer 7 months ago, and a month ago, it broke. I have been without my washer for 1 month, and it has been repaired 4 times in that month. It is still not working. All I get is that, its under warranty, and there isnt anything they can do, but to keep trying to fix it. I have been having to take my clothes to a laundromat, and pay to have them washed. I have asked for them to deem it defective, but they refuse.

I like the newer technology that is built into the washer. My only complaint is that the wash time is automatically set depending on your load choice. For instance, a delicate load is set to wash for 45 minutes. I dont feel that amount of time is required.

Thank God for this website and Frank of Dover (postings on Feb. 11, 2013 and Jan. 7, 2011). We just had exactly the same horrid experience with the lid on our Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW7800XW. Just as with Frank, our home warranty provider first accused us of abusing the machine. I merely printed out Franks comments and description, whereupon the home warranty provider reluctantly agreed to replace the lid. We also bought an extra lid and are keeping it in our attic for the next failure. Do not purchase this washer!

My parents bought a Whirlpool washer machine and the machine was fine for the first two years, then water started leaking from the bottom of the machine and no one has yet to fix the problem! They have the worst customer service department. The A&E worker who came to my parents house smelled, wasted a bunch of time working on the machine and didnt fix anything! The A&E worker visited my parents house over 10 times and the problem still wasnt fixed! They (worker) have ordered parts after parts and still water keeps running from the bottom of the machine! Whirlpool Cabrio WTW8500DW0. Like: Top loading, Handsome appearance, clear glass lid, easy access soap dispenser plus separate Oxi dispenser. Dislike: Does not have a soak cycle. We didnt realize until after we replaced our old Sears Calypso what a really poor job it was doing. It damaged the clothes and never really got them clean. Also, the small capacity made it nearly impossible to wash large items such as bedspreads or comforters. The Whirlpool Cabrio WTW8500 has be a delight.

We purchased commercial washing machines for our building, we discovered that the clothes were coming out of the machines with dry spots and partials of soap. When we asked the dealer about this they sent a tech. to check the machines. It seems that these machines do not allow a adequate amount of water into the tub to wash the clothes. Only 6 or 7 inches of water is not enough water to wash a full load. When asked how this can be fixed I was told it cant be fixed. I was told this is a energy saving machine, which means you can only wash very small loads!What is the point of running a machine for twice the amount of time to do what you used to do in one load? Had we known this before purchasing what we felt was a quality machine, we are now stuck with machine not capable of doing what is required of them. When asked if they would take the machine back, no is all they say. I would never buy any product made by Whirlpool or Maytag because of the way this problem of ours has been handled. We purchased these machines from Prestige appliance, they have been good, but with no support from Whirlpool.

I’ve had my Whirlpool Duet for 12 years and it has been a great one. I’m a mom of three sons, all of them wash their own laundry!! Lots of loads are done weekly and it cleans well! We leave the door opened after it’s unloaded so the tub will dry. Every few months, I put a tab in it so it will clean out all of the buildup. I don’t get the “front loader smell” that way.

Absolutely read the reviews on this machine before deciding on a purchase. I have experienced with great frustration every issue addressed in other reviews. Clothes constantly have to be rewashed. The Quick cycle will leave your clothes in a puddle of water. But then there is no spin only cycle to correct that. I have purchased Whirlpool washers before with great satisfaction but this machine is not worth the money I paid for it and does not save me on water or electricity costs because of all the rewashing I have to do. Like others I am stuck with this machine until it dies. You lost me as a customer, Whirlpool.

I bought my Cabrio washer about 3.5 years ago. Little after the year, I had to replace the lid because the hinge broke. Then came the F1 code, which I noticed if you turn the machine off for a couple of minutes, it resets itself. About a week ago, it started making a grinding noise and staining the clothes with oil or grease. Transmission problems. I was told by the seller it had a 10 year warranty. I called them up and now I got to foot the bill for a technician to come to my house and tell me what I already know plus labor. Might as well buy a new one. Beware because I believe Kenmore is manufactured by the same company.

After 2-1/2 years we started having trouble with the spin cycle on our Maytag washer. We live in an area with no repairman. Whirlpool want us to pay just to talk to us. Now the timings off. It will not spin out.

We bought the Whirlpool Cabrio set from Sears in February 2010, for our second home. We counted up the weeks we have actually been here since then, it is about 10 weeks. We figure we used the washer about three times per week. So, we have gotten about 30 wash loads from this washer and it dies mid-cycle. We assume the motherboard crashed. It kicked the breaker. Lid was locked and we couldnt get it open. The washer would not power up. Repairman arrived three days later, got the latch opened but couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. He said it is probably a board and it might be better for us to replace. He wants to pick it up tomorrow to take to his shop. I called Whirlpool to complain. I know the one year warranty is up but to get 30 uses out of this expensive piece of junk and not get any consideration from the manufacturer is not right. I wish I had seen all these complaints before I bought it. No Whirlpool ever!

Tried to do a small 2x3 bathroom rug and the spin was thrown off kilter. I have been doing laundry a long time and I know how to evenly distribute clothes etc so the washer should be able to handle it for the price I paid. The high end front loading Whirlpool set.

After 7 calls to Whirlpool and 3 service calls, we still have white detergent stains on all our clothes. Today Whirlpool told us we needed to put one item at a time into the machine. Not only that, but pants needed to be loaded waist band up and gently placed; Shirts, collars up; socks toes down, etc. etc. Are these folks at Whirlpool serious?? So today, we called them back - still streaks. The folks at Whirlpool want us to take and send them pictures of our clothes. This is ridiculous.

We bought a Cabrio washer less than three years ago. I have never felt that it got my clothes clean. The washer recently stopped spinning and agitating. We were told by a very experienced repair technician today that the gear case and bearings in the tub need to be replaced at a cost of $700.00. Needless to say, I am very upset. I called the Whirlpool Company and after being on hold for almost 15 minutes, I was told that my washer is too old to qualify for any help with repair cost or part replacement. My household consists of two adults. We do on average three loads a week. This is an inferior appliance and after this experience I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

I HATE this washer!!! Did I say hate this washer? YES. Do not buy it. Delicate cycle. Ha ha ha. NO!!! Good thing Im retired because I need to check it every 5 min to see if its getting clothes wet or untangle a mess. I find I use the rinse and spin cycle once with a little soap and run it again to rinse. A lot of extra work. Sheets washed in the deep water cycle turn into a giant twisted mess if you dont stop machine and untangle everything. Hate it. Hate it. Do not buy this machine. I use more water by washing things twice or fewer items. What a waste of time!!! Locking lids are the worst thing ever designed. Why?? Dont tell me some stupid kid is going to climb in it. We should have a choice or be able to disable it!!! Worst machine ever designed???

We acquired the Cabrio Six Sense washing machine through the purchase of our new home, and quickly realized why it was left behind. This thing is pretty and has lots of bells and whistles, but that is where it ends. I am very surprised to find out that Whirlpool put such a piece of junk out for purchase. I have owned Whirlpool products in the past and had great performance and quality. We will be pulling this hunk of junk from our laundry room and installing the GE washer that we already owned immediately. Anyone want a free washer?

It doesn’t drain and ties clothes in knots. Spots appear on clothes after washing completes. Clothes never get clean and always have an odor. This is the worst washing machine on the market.

Cabrio top loading washer - I have had this set for 3 years. The first 8 months it was fine, then came all the rust. I had to go to the BBB and file a complaint as everyone at Whirlpool would not help. Last year they finally replaced the top, and now, its rust yet again. I rinse and dry the machine when I am done using it. The repair man said it was because manufacturers are not using primer and just one coat of cheap paint. What now? Ill see if I can get the lid off and sand it and use rust preventer on it. Never again, I should just junk this piece of crap and Whirlpool should shut down if they cant make anything worth our hard earned money.

Does not get your clothes clean. They come out of washer smelling due to lack of water. Darks have Detergent Residue on them. My t-shirts have holes in them. Bought this machine in 2010. Just purchased a Whirlpool top load with a Agitator and I am very pleased with the results. We never had any problems with Whirlpool products but this Cabrio should be taken off the market, faulty advertising. Talked to a Whirlpool rep and she told me to bunch up clothes and place around outside edges of machine for best results but did not see any difference. Do not buy this washer. You will be wasting your money and you will be buying a old traditional washer, with an Agitator is your best bet so you can control the amount of water you use. Whirlpool Duet Front Loading Washer. Purchased date was 1/09/10 and I paid $629.00. It failed in 7/1/11 and got a service call for $60.00. The result of service call: Bearing shot and crank shaft broke. Im very disappointed. Whirlpool should be liable for the malfunction of their product. Whirlpool was contacted and they were sorry that there is nothing they can do.

I bought a whirlpool washer from Whirlpool on February 27, 2011. Since then, they have come out and repaired the washer for 5 times. They have even taken the whole motor out, and replaced it. The last time they came, they said I would have to pay for the next time. Now, it has broken again, and I have to pay for a washer repair that is less than a year old. We bought the Whirlpool washer at Sears, and neither Sears, nor Whirlpool will stick by their product. We cannot afford another new washer, and to pay for repairs is a stretch too. Is there anything you can do?

My Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7800 was bought 1 and 1/2 years ago. The lid is glass with a plastic edge. The plastic part of the lid next to the glass and hinge is cracking causing the glass to stick up. It is cracked from the top of the lid toward the base if the lid were closed. The only way this could happen if it werent a manufacturer defect would be if someone were to get inside of the washer with the lid locked and try to push up to get out right at the hinges. I have noticed several other complaints of the same problem on this website with the same model. Clearly this is a manufacturer defect. I am on the phone with Whirlpool now.

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer. It was great for almost year. After that it has been nothing but trouble. The body of the washer has rust coming through the paint and large areas that is so rusted that the paint has chipped off completely. A washer is expected to deal with water and not rust through the body. I have a 10-year old Ford truck without a speck of rust. Dont they undercoat? The circuit board has had to be replaced because of rust. I have to take several Q-tips and go under the cover to remove all the rust if I dont it gets rust stains on my clothes, which is impossible to remove. The customer service is non existent. They have left me on the line for over 40 minutes. I hang on only because it would be another hour or so of my time to get someone to answer. I was without a washer for a month while waiting for parts. Why dont they have parts for their products? I had to slop my way too dirty laundry mats 3 times a week as I do 2 to 3 loads a day.My washer is downstairs and stops and gives me the unbalanced message even when its not, running up and down the stairs several times to complete one load. I also get the F51 message for no perceivable reason. The extra rinse button only works 1/2 the time. This was an expensive washer ($1,000.00) and I feel that I deserve my money back. They are knowingly making an inferior product.

We purchase a Whirlpool washer model # WTW5000DWI, SERIAL #C842 43102 ON 10/30/2019 and it has been nothing but a disappointment. We are senior citizens living on a very limit income with several health problems, and cannot go to a washeteria to wash our clothes. We had a washer that lasted over 19 years and when the motor failed I figured it was more practical to purchase a new washer versus repairing this old one. We had a very reputable Whirlpool dealer here and was very helpful and recommended this washer and the price was in our budget! Was that a big mistake, it does not clean the clothes, does not rinse the clothes with using the 2 rinse cycle and still, does not rinse a load of sheets. I bought a large capacity washer so we could wash 2 sheets at a time. Wrong! You cannot get more than a couple inch of water on the Deepwater cycle, so its like washing clothes on a riverbank on rocks, it rubs clothes together. On my wifes good clothes it will cause little balls of fabrics on them, clothes does not smell clean, and if its real dirty clothes, it will not clean or take the stains out. Its water efficient alright, it does not use any water!Its for sale, and I have talked to a lawyer. Whirlpool customer service was no help at all/All they want was to send a dealer to check it out, the only problem if there is nothing wrong with it that will cost me min. of $125.00. Warranty will cover a manufacturing defect, not a design problem which is what this is. I will just go to small claims courts and get my money back and be done with Whirlpool, hell they dont care! I would buy any washer that is cheaper and has an agitator, without a water efficient features and is top loaded model. It does not pay in this world where large manufacturing companies dont care.

We bought this Whirlpool he washer two months ago, and it is the most aggravatingly frustrating washer weve ever had the displeasure to use. There are times when it washes just fine, but I always have to put the mode on deep water wash because the normal mode uses very little water (like its supposed to) but it doesnt clean the clothes. However, most of the time it doesnt wash at all. All the lights will turn off and youll hear this sound and itll drain the water without having been in the wash cycle. Worthless piece of equipment! I prefer the old washer where I have more control. Whirlpool used to be such a good brand, What Is Happening? The new design for their washing machine nowadays generates a lot of complaints, and with good reason (because they suck).

I am writing to you all today to urge you to not purchase Whirlpool products specifically Whirlpool 2-cu ft High-Efficiency Front-Load Washer. I purchased a front loader washing machine for our tenants through Sears back in June of 2013. When it was hooked up it had an error code on it so we contacted Sears and 3 weeks later they sent out a repairman telling us it needed a new motor (this machine had not even washed 1 load of laundry). They ordered the part and Sears paid 1200 to replace a part on an 800.00 washer.....yeah I know dumb right. Well the part replacement did not work. (Surprised) They ordered and delivered a new washer 1 month later....same error code. Lets try again with another washer......same error code. How about another one......water would not stop running into the machine because the sensor was broken. Wait we are not done how about another one.....same error code. No I am not kidding, 10 months later 5 washing machines and my tenants have yet to have been able to wash a single load of laundry. I have been reimbursing my tenants every month for not having a washer for the past 10 months. I finally had Sears reimburse for the washer which they will pick up soon. I am out all the interest for the past 10 months for a product never used. To top it all off I called Whirlpool directly to see if they would be willing to at least give me a coupon for any amount toward the purchase of a different washer. They told me quote We dont do anything to compensate our customer for their troubles. That is the icing on the cake folks!!! I will never purchase another Whirlpool product and I encourage you all to not as well. I want to show them how not caring for their customers can impact them. Please share if you can, but more importantly please pass the word!!!!!

I purchased the Whirlpool Duet June 2011. Within two weeks, it was tearing my clothes. It didnt matter how little of a load it was, they still ripped. Five months later, my machine was leaking water. The repair man came out. I told him it was also tearing my clothes. His only response was dont load it to full. Well, I called the store where I purchased it and they are sending a repair man out again. I told them to either fix this from ripping my clothes or I was going to take a hammer to the machine and never buy a Whirlpool again or give them a good reference. I also called Whirlpool directly and told them of my problem and they acted like they had never heard of this happening before. I told them to search the internet because everyone is having the same complaint! I had a Fridgidaire front loader for 9 years and never had a problem with it eating my clothes.

Whirlpool Corp. stands behind its products. Bought the Cabrio Washer in June 2011. Lid cracked in October 2012 and was not covered under the Lowes extended warranty because they called it a wear item. However, our local Lowes store in Avondale, PA replaced it for us. In December 2013, the lid cracked again. I called Whirlpool customer service and they couldnt do anything. I called the Whirlpool corporate headquarters and was directed to a member of their executive staff. After explaining my situation, Whirlpool agreed to send me a new door free of charge and even pay to have it installed (which I told them I can do myself). Aside from the cracking of two doors, this washer is an exceptional unit. Its good to see Whirlpool stands behind its products this way, outside of the warranty period. I would guess that they always hear a lot of whining and complaining, but it seems if you explain things logically, people listen and are willing to help.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio, Model no. WTW5640XW2, on March 3, 2012. I have tried every setting and water temperature and am totally dissatisfied with the washer. It does not clean clothes, tangles them into a twisted mess which requires that they be vigorously shaken out, destroys anything with a draw string. I had an online chat with a representative and was told she was sorry. I posted to Facebook and did receive a call from a repairman, which I will return; however, I do not anticipate receiving any satisfaction. The machine is worthless for washing clothes. I was better off with my 12-year old agitator Whirlpool washer. I do not understand how this machine can be allowed to stay on the market. Id be better off at the river beating my clothes against rocks. I hope someone will get on Whirlpool to give consumer refunds. I have been brought to tears by this machine and I am one tough cookie. We bought a Whirlpool front load about six years ago. We have had nothing but trouble with since we have owned it. First, the sensors went out on it. We had to pay over $300 to have that fixed. Then, it wouldnt run right. We had to pay another charge for that. Now they tell me the water valve is bad on it. If I had known at the time the problems I was going to experience with this washer, I would never have bought it. I fell for the price. We paid for it. We should be getting better service from it than we are. I could have bought 6 regular washers for what I paid for this one that doesnt perform like it should.

My husband and I purchased this washer in August of 2011. Within 2 years the lid broke because of it a cheap plastic frame on a heavy glass lid. At that time I researched it and found many people with the same complaint. Whirlpool would not do anything for us but the company that we purchased it from did agree to supply the part if we paid the labor. We did this and replaced the lid. Well here it is just right at 2 years again and the lid is completely broken and the washer is unusable. There is no way to bypass the lid issue which makes the washer completely useless.I called Whirlpool again and was told there was nothing that could be done and that because there was not a recall on the product, they would not be able to do anything for me. We have purchased a new Samsung washer that received excellent reviews from Consumer reports and we will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product again. I cannot believe a company that old and as large as Whirlpool will not stand behind a faulty design and faulty made piece of equipment. It is very disappointing.

Oh what a tangled mess you weave! Inappropriate water usage and bad agitator. The brain is not flexible. Most of all it locks me into a contract of this is it, do or die, you have no other options but to start again. It puts my clothes in abused mode! I say no more, taxes will bring me to buy your competitor. It is very large and way too heavy to move anywhere. No!!! I will never buy another. To the point with all required letters involved, No I will not recommend this (Cabrio washing machine) to anyone, or give it to a friend!

We purchased the washing machine on February 2, 2013 and initially noticed that some of the clothes were still dry when the complete load was over. Meaning that I am not saving water cost because I then have to rewash the clothes and pre-scrub the clothes. Then a little over a year later, the machine is making this extremely loud piercing noise when spinning. The cost to replace the part is $250.00+ the repairmans fee. Whirlpool says there is nothing they will do. From reading the other reviews, this is really sad because of the numerous people having the same issueS with a capital S. I definitely would support a class action suit.

Whirpool WFW9550WW-00 Front Load Washer - Washer was purchased 08/09/12. No problems until 07/12/15 when washer stopped working mid-cycle. Motor control board needs to be replaced, actuator needs to be replaced. $500+ Our local appliance store suggested we call the Whirlpool customer relations number and ask for the parts to be sent free of charge. We would pay labor. They gave us the model number, serial number, the diagnostic info. Long story short, customer service told me she didnt know why I was told to contact them. They can not predict the life of a machine. Less than 3 years for this machine. 22 years for my old Kenmore. Our old Kenmore never had a problem, but we thought that we should replace it in 2012 in case something happened with old machine. WISH WE KEPT THE 22 YEAR OLD KENMORE.

The first problem I had with the washing machine was the spin cycle did not wring out the clothes. The second problem was the spin cycle caused the washer to start walking. The washer was leveled prior to washing the clothes also water was still running into the washer after it cycled off. I call Lowes the next day and told them my problems and they replaced the unit with the same model. The delivery came and I hooked up the washer and placed a few items in the washer and allowed it to cycle through. The washer did the same thing all over again. It did not spin the clothes out and the water continued to pour in the washer. And spun out of balance. I contacted Lowes and advised them I was having the same problem. I also told them my cousin had the same model and they were also having the same problem. Lowes offered to replace the unit with a different model so I selected Samsung washing machine and I have it scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Also I wanted to let you know that the price difference was 100 Dollars more for the Samsung and Lowes told me that I would have to pay the difference. I told them I have been inconvenienced twice and I will not pay the difference, they then call in the store manager and he override the difference. Lowes of Hagerstown will try their best to make it right, its sad that the mfg will not bring a product to the market that will do what it is advertised. The federal and state government should fine these companies and replace the defective models when reported. Do it right the first time and you wont have a repeat of the same problems. Also not use the consumer as a guinea pig to try out new products.

We purchased Whirlpool sports model on 2/1/2011. We faced a problem with the motor in a month’s time. The service man told that there are fluctuations in the power so it went wrong. They replaced it after 15-20 days’ time. We also complained that it’s making noise and then he told that we should keep it on the stand. We did so, even then, it’s still noisy. Now about 3 weeks back, suddenly it stopped working during the wash. I never overloaded the washing machine. We complained to the dealer. The mechanic came and told that we had to replace some parts and he will get in a couple of days, but he never turned up. When we contacted the dealer, he said that the parts were unavailable and he will send them in a couple of days. I am fed up of that answer. We could have purchased IFB instead of this.

My mother and grandmother swore by Whirlpool washers. They were the best. So, naturally I never wanted any other brand - then came the digital machines. End of an era. My experience with my 1 year old digital machine has been very frustrating. I do not like it. I prefer the old system.

I purchased A Whirlpool washer model WTW4816FWD some six months ago and it is worse than my 13 y/o washer I got rid of. When wringing clothes it seems be out of balance as it bangs like crazy even when clothes are adjusted. I thought it was the feet but no dice and the auto sensing levels allows for the washer to fill completely with only three items in it? The noise it makes while washing can be heard throughout the whole house too. The cycle takes three times as long of any Ive ever used! I hate this thing.

Soon as warranty expired issues with product. This should not happen. Made in America, washer making too much noise. Products cost more but poor quality. What is this company going to produce? This is the world we live in.

We purchased the extended warranty (service plan number **). The washing machine has been giving trouble. It locks out during every wash cycle and each time, we have to unplug the machine to reset it. Sometimes it makes it through the next cycle and sometimes, not. The first couple of calls we made, we were told to make sure it was cleaned, to make sure it was leveled. All this was done and we still have the same problem. Finally, a technician was sent out. He could not duplicate the problem and left. Thirty minutes after he left, the machine locked out again. We put in for another call, we were told it would be two more days. In the meantime, we actually video taped the next three times it locked up. This time, when the technician came out, he was able to see our video as well as saw the machine lock up. He stated, It did not give me a code so I do not know what else to do. He left and ten minutes after he left, it locked out again. We immediately called back and they informed us they could not get anyone out again until next week. This is very frustrating to have an obvious problem and have an extended warranty and the problem cannot be solved. We feel as if we are being blown off. Is there anything you can do to help us and/or give us advise of how to get this problem resolved?

I am pleased with the steel tub, the ability to do an extra rinse and spin and especially the choices of water level that it determines by the size of the load. Its ability save water use. I would repurchase the top loader again. My clothes come out looking wonderful especially the whites and I do not use bleach. It does not get the mold or mildew odor that my last machine would get due to the rubber or plastic made tub. I love it.

Whirlpool Duet Steam Washing Machine WFW9500TW had F35/Suds code 14 months after we purchased the washer. Hose / air trap is clear and the hose from the analog pressure switch is connected properly. The appliance tech we had come out to look at the washer determined that the analog pressure switch was defective. He told us that this is a common problem with this washing machine. Whirlpool supervisor, Michael (female), stated that they could send a tech out - and charge us for the call - to diagnose the problem. She refused to transfer me to someone who could help and couldnt comprehend that the its out of warranty excuse isnt a proper defense for a product defect. There are many posts about Analog Pressure Switch problems with this washing machine.The posts about Whirlpools poor customer service are absolutely accurate. They are horrible - good luck in getting them to work with you. We read the reviews for the Whirlpool Duet Steam washing machine before purchasing one and we disregarded the bad ones as disgruntled customers. Please do not make the same mistake we made. After my conversation with their customer service dept today, I will never buy another Whirlpool product again. Defective parts happen. Refusing to fix a known problem is unacceptable.

We bought our washer (Whirlpool Cabrio) from a rent to own company about 2 years ago, and finally got it paid off. About a week ago, the lid started sticking when it was done washing. I went to open it last night to start some laundry, and it BROKE. Now theres a piece stuck in the bottom part of the lock, and the washer wont start. Anyone else have this issue?

The washer works well for the age of it. However, I would say it is not designed as nicely as some of the others I have seen. I found it performed okay doing the wash, but it didnt hold up as well I as I would have liked. Seems cheaply made. The machines plastic parts have stained from rust and seem tinny.

I bought front-loader WFW8540FW1 in November 2017 from Lowes. I keep having problems with the washer not turning on. I am waiting for the repairman to come. Had repair done in March, May, and now June. I have gotten new electronics for replacement from Whirlpool each time. Obviously something is defective. Is there a lemon law for washers? Hope so. Same as others, We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and there is a bearing problem (which seems to be the common issue reported). The washer is unusable at less than 5 years of age. The repairman told us its a bearing problem and its common for this to happen to the Cabrio. How can an Whirlpool get away with selling a defective product?

The machine starts shaking uncontrollably, has to be paused and clothes redistributed but still shakes. The stabilizers were replaced approximately 1 year ago. This worked until today. I was was washing a small load and distributed the load accordingly. On the spin cycle, the washer again began shaking and I shut it off. I will never buy Whirlpool products again!

I purchased Whirlpool washer in Dec.2017 and used it in winter months only (Nov to March). It kept leaking and had to get appliance repair service for $50 and was told that machine is defective and whirlpool should repair it or replace it. I phoned whirlpool and they told me I have to use their appliance repair shop to evaluate the machine for cost of $130. The inlet valve was leaking and needed replacement for a cost of $253.55 and whirlpool shirked all and any responsibility. Dont buy whirlpool as it is not a good product and service is poor.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer w103386894 - I have had nothing but problems with this piece of crap washing machine. Either the clothes come out soaked at the end of the spin cycle, or it gets stuck in a cycle and repeats. It makes so much noise you can hear it through the whole house. It is less than three years old and now it is leaking water. I had a base model Sears Kenmore that I had for over 12 years and it died from old age. This Whirlpool is pure crap, do not buy.

If you are in the market for a new washing machine, steer clear of the Whirlpool Cabrio (or any Whirlpool for that matter). We have had issues with ours from the beginning. We had Whirlpool techs come out and were continually unable to fix the issues. Eventually they told them that it was not broken, even though one tech told us it definitely was. After four service calls they just stopped sending out techs and told us too bad. Now after less than two years it is leaking from the bottom. Yeah, Whirlpool, theres no problem with it. Save yourself the potential headache and get something else. Anything else.

This washing machine started giving us trouble just a few months after purchasing. Have had repairman to our home 5 times in 3 years. Last time repairman came he said future repairs would be very expensive & we should purchase another machine. I am completely dissatisfied with the Whirlpool Cabrio top loading machine. Our washing machine is less than one-year-old. It doesnt get the clothes clean, especially the darks, and it is so rough on the clothes that they come out twisted tied into knots. The dark clothes come out dirtier than they went into machine. Even though we use the dark detergent on the dark clothes and program for an extra rinse cycle, the clothes come out with white powder all over them. They need to be washed again and sometimes again. And sometimes they still dont come out clean. That is not very energy efficient. The clothes come out of the machine so wrinkled that everything needs to be ironed. I can imagine making washing machine that doesnt do its primary function, which is to get clothes clean. Todays families do not have time for this extra work.

We bought a Whirlpool washer in 2010. It started making a loud noise on the rinse cycle in 2012. We called Whirlpool. They sent out a repairman from A and E Repair. Was told tub bearing shot, repair over $700.00. Contacted Whirlpool, was told machine out of warranty. After talking to them, they agreed to send parts if we paid labor. Machine lasted less than a year making the same sound again. A and E sent out same thing, bearing gone. Repair cost $997.17, charged us $136.74 service call after 2 minutes to shake the drum and saying same problem. Was told by Whirlpool, no warranty, tough luck.

We bought our Cabrio set 2 yrs ago. They have worked fine, until about 4 weeks ago when we begun getting what looks like bleach stains on our dark and colored clothes. I blamed my wife for using bleach or splashing it accidentally. So today it happened again, and no bleach was used or even open near the machine. This was the third load today and the first one was towels, no damage, 2nd load whites and light underwear with some spotting, third load pair of pants and pair of shorts ruined. What is happening?

Mine is a stacked unit...saves space and I just love the stooping over factor... BUT, its an energy saver and I always have to add about 5 gallons of water to it for it to cover even half a normal load...ugh!!!

I call in to Customer Service to get someone to fix my washing machine because it wasnt working and when I called, I forgot to have my washing machine serial number at hand. The person on the other side told me that she cant wait for me to get the serial number more than 2 minutes and I ask myself, if they cant wait for me more than 2 minutes to get my serial number, then why should I wait a week to have someone fix my washing machine?

Whirlpool duet steam front loader - The rubber gasket ripped about a year ago and cost over $400 to have a tech come and repair. Then the water level switch got bad and cost another couple hundred. A year later, the rubber gasket ripped again. What a junk washer. I am ready for a lawsuit because Whirlpool will not replace it.

I feel that at the end of the day I do owe Whirlpool a good feedback. Our top load washer stopped rinsing so I checked the clutch, agitator dogs and coupler which all looked brand new. So I thought Id take the trans apart and after pulling the plastic agitator out I noticed the tub had completely rusted in half! The tub dropped down about an inch. The agitator would spin but the tub just sat there. Now came the difficult part. I told them I was quite sure about my diagnostic that it needed a new tub and told them I could send them a video (I even posted a video on Facebook and Twitter). But they said they would have to send a man out at $180 to make sure! After several days of back and forth conversations, someone at Whirlpool finally saw the video and agreed to send us a new tub. I havent gotten it yet but have heard through the grapevine that these tubs were supposed to be replaced if rusted because of the quality of metal used? So other than pulling a few teeth and needing to replace the tub, our washer has been a pretty good machine.

Whirlpool washing machine has always been reliable for me. I have owned 2 and they lasted me many many years. Its easy to use, and cleans clothes perfectly. My family is also a fan of Whirlpool appliances.

My complaint is basically the same as all the others. Clothes do not come clean in my brand new Whirlpool washer. Ive had two other Whirlpools, and they were fine. This one, however, is a piece of junk. One of the main problems is that the washer is designed to use only lukewarm water, even on the hot setting, it does not use hot water. Another problem is too little water. Another irritating factor is the constant locking of the lid. Another problem is the constant starting and stopping of the agitator. This cannot be good for the motor. Im at the point of giving away my new washer which Ive had for exactly one week. This is a totally inferior product, and I feel that I have been really ripped off.

I have to agree with a previous responder. I have a 6 yr. old Cabrio washer. Everything else works fine except the motor control board. Paid $72 for an estimate and they tell me $350 for parts & labor to fix it. $350 to fix a $439 (new at Lowes) washer? Do we now have disposable large appliances? You can do better Whirlpool. This has been a good washer. You shouldnt be pushing me to buy a new one so quickly.

Bought a brand new front loader washing machine and the 1st, 2nd & 3rd year has to call for service for the same problem! Sent one repair guy to the house and banged on my machine the whole time because he was frustrated and had to report because he made my wife nervous. Never again Whirlpool!

I dont know how anybody could write a good review on this machine. It always requires deep water wash and sometimes two cycles to get clothes clean. On regular cycle, it doesnt get water on all clothes. Oh yes, it does save water... Ive pulled things out with dry areas on them.

There is almost NOTHING I like about my new $1000 Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washing machine! The clothes dont get clean. Stains become PERMANENT because clothes are spun and matted so tightly together, the 2 inches of water allowed into the tub cant dissolve them. Fabric softener stays a gummy substance because it has to be SUCKED out of the dispenser, not sprinkled out with water. I pin socks together to keep them in pairs, but this machine rips them apart and the safety pin end up in the bottom. My bathroom rugs are shredded. You cant add an extra item if you need to, because the tiny portion of water leaks out. There were DRY spots still on the sheets at the end of a cycle. This machine is an engineering nightmare, sort of like the Edsel. The only action programmed to clean the clothes is a wiggling motion on the floor of the tub. The tub spins so much, energy goes through the roof. Man was given 3 survival elements to assure our existence on earth: water, air, and food. Why are engineers trying to faze out our use of water? This machine has dazzling looks, but NOTHING else. I am so sorry I didnt read all the reviews first. Who would ever think the environmentalists would inflict such pain on our basic domestic obligations! If I dont get my money back or a decent exchange at Sears where we bought it, Im taking the machine to their parking lot and commencing a show with a baseball bat.

Whirlpool Cabrio TLWasher purchased 2011. Doesnt drain, no spin, inconsistent cycling, poor washing action....wont even attempt to repair, in light of reading product reviews and consumer experiences with this washing machine- $600 junk.

We have had this Whirlpool Duet WFW9150 washer for 7 years, doing 2-4 loads a week. Overall we are quite satisfied with it. A few complaints: We are on a well, and so get the odd bit of crud in the water. The machine has filters on the inlet lines, but you must pull it out from the wall to get at them. The filters are hard to remove. If something goes wrong--power blip, or sensor something, you have to restart the cycle. There is no way to continue from where you left off. There are features I wish it had: Rinse with warm or hot water, a spin only cycle, And Im in a hurry and it isnt very dirty cycle (Shortest cycle is almost 2 hours). Whirlpool doesnt have a service center for our area. If we need repair we need to take it into town. This is inconvenient.

I purchased my Cabrio Whirlpool washer 4 years ago and have had problems every since I bought it! Thank goodness I bought the extended warranty! The last two repair bills were over $1000 each! My warranty just ran out and I had it repaired last two months ago! This is not my first complaint! When will they start listening to consumers? This is ridiculous! We bought our Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum top-loading high efficiency machine Model #WTW8000BWG in Feb. 2015. It cleans well, and is easy to select water temp, spin speed, etc. It's simple to load, but because I am short, I have difficulty reaching stuff at the bottom of the tub. A stool is needed. LOL. In the 5 years that I have owned it, I have not needed any kind of service to be done on it. Very reliable. I have had Whirlpool washers and dryers before and my success with them is why I purchased the set I have now. And so far, so good. Highly recommend.

I too expected a whole lot more for the price I paid for Whirlpool WTW5000DW1 HE washer top load. Fuzz, grass, pet hair and food remain after washing. Had a repairman out to look at it. There is nothing wrong with it. He says they do not use much water to save money. Well, if I a have to wash everything at least twice am I saving money? Think. Will look into an old fashioned washboard next time. Frankly I think it is a scam. The HE Tide is more concentrated and my clothes do not come clean! After 7 attempts to fix my 6-year-old Whirlpool Front Load Washer (original price $991.00) I had to trash it. Then I stupidly bought another Whirlpool Front Loader (WFW75HEFW) Feb 2017. It has not worked properly since day 1. The clothes come out dripping wet. At first I thought I was doing something wrong. I tried every cycle, limited amount of clothing and ran additional spin cycles to no avail. Finally I gave up and called for service.Whirlpool is very much aware that a number of their machines came off the line with defective spin bearings but they wont admit to it. Instead I am expected to have it repaired! It involves the entire inside of the machine being rebuilt. Its a 2 man job that will take 3-4 hours.This is totally unacceptable and it is obvious Whirlpool does not make a quality product nor do they value customer satisfaction. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE A WHIRLPOOL WASHER. They are difficult to work with and I for one will never purchase or recommend any of their products. I purchased this washer from Home Depot and now my only hope is that they will honor my intention of purchasing a non-defective product. If not, I guess Im in for another miserable experience with a Whirlpool product.

My wife and I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer / Dryer set approximately three years ago and have had nothing but problem after problem with these units. Weve had multiple service calls, multiple parts replaced, and after dumping hundreds of dollars into repairs and service calls (even called Whirlpool and asked for some help with parts cost but was given the cold shoulder and was told, We cant help you), we are dumping these machines where they belong - scrap heap. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product and will tell anyone who will listen what garbage Whirlpool manufacturers are and absolutely pathetic excuse for customer service and the poorest of quality product. Whirlpool will never be in my familys home again and will never see another cent of my monies.

I purchased this model 2 years ago. I absolutely hate the fact that there is not enough water dispensed to clean my clothes. Part of my clothes dont even get wet, therefore, I have to press pause and add 2 to 3 gallons of water during the wash and rinse cycles. I do like the spin cycle as long as it does not get unbalanced.Wished I had never purchased it.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer model WTW6400SW2, serial CU2372784 type 480: I have had this set for about 4 years now. First, I had to replace the motherboard. And now today, I found out that the center post seal was leaking and caused a lot of damage. I was told that it would cost around $300 plus to get it fixed. I have seen on sites that this washer is a lot of trouble and the makers need to fix these problems. Also, the washer sounds like a jet running. We need the makers of Cabrio to step up and fix these problems or refund us the money that we have paid out for this thing. We, the people who have bought these machines, need a lawyer and to start filing lawsuits against these people.

I just bought a Whirlpool Duet Front Loader, and it vibrates excessively and wont fully rinse out all of the detergent. I have to take the tray out each time and rinse. Also, it has a musty smell.Whirlpool sent a repairman out to replace the shocks on a washer that is less than 2 months old. The repairman told me to use less detergent, but I am only using a teaspoon of powder detergent which is recommended and using Affresh once a month. There is nothing they can do about it till it is deemed unrepairable.

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio in April 2012 and in July 2012, it started giving problems. It wouldnt start. It started humming. We heard money-like jingling noises. It stopped spinning and rinsing clothes. I called for service. No luck with that. So in order to wash, I had to drag the washer to the back door (which ripped up my new floors) hang hose outside for it to finish the load. Well a few months later, that didnt work so the assistant where it was purchased told us to cut the pipe down in the wall. Now we have a big hole in the wall. My floors are ruined and we are out getting another washer. This one is not even a year old. That was a $750 loss.

Washer keeps saying F1 and it wont spin. In the middle of load it will stop and it would say F1... It started just a year when we bought it. Now its two years. Its really broke. Before it would say F1 then I give an hour then try again and it works but now no matter what I do it really wont work... I dont know no one who could help me whats this F1... So sad. Its not cheap washer but its junk.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and Dryer in 2007. The washer sounded like it was going to take off and started leaking water. Two repair techs later, we found out it was the center bearing. They actually laughed and said they saw it all the time. It could be replaced (you need to replace the whole drum) for $300-$500, but I was told it would never be the same. I spoke with Whirlpool numerous times and they said they would do nothing, and I should have purchased the extended warranty. All I ask is for a company to stand behind their product. Im very disappointed.

I bought a pair front loading washer & Dryer May this year and took Delivery in June. First problem was with touch controls. I should have Known then it would be trouble, they replaced it then we went home to Fl. - Aug. Returned in Oct - used the machine eight times total and it locked up with our Clothes inside in water. Called for service, was told it would be a week before someone could come, then was told after four days it was the mother Board and it would take at least another week to get our clothes out. Their Service is the worst I ever have dealt with. The whole house - we Bought Whirlpool based on the Maytags we bought for our House in 2004. Never a problem but those Maytags were Maytag - not whirlpool. I would never buy any Whirlpool Appliances again. It is sad because I try to buy American made to support our fellow Brothers and sisters in the work Force but now I will buy made anywhere as long as it works and has reasonable service. Whirlpool is not the same as I Remember from years ago.

I bought a new Cabrio washer in August of 2011, and by December of 2011, it sounds like a jet engine when washing or spinning. It is still under warranty, but it is the same issue reported by countless others as I have discovered. Whirlpool should recall and find out what the problem is so that every consumer does not have to experience this issue.I will never buy Whirlpool again and I am going to make sure I spread the word about this machine to keep others from this experience.

I am making my last payment on this junk ** washer and I cant wait to leave this one at the curb! Like the other reviewers...this machine leaves white deodorant on dark shirts, sheet sets either constantly off balance or parts of them still dry after wash cycle is finished! I changed detergents several times thinking that was the issue...but the bottom line is the sell of having no agitator and water saving features leave you with dirty clothes and off balance crazy shaking nonsense! DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!

We had a Whirlpool washing machine 650s, fully automatic on 28.07.2011 at M/s. Next Showroom Reference bill number 910, Sr no INF **. We had attended, 2 times, a problem with the digital board. After advice from your Whirlpool service person, we had fixed it cutout (make whirlpool), but now, its the same fault with the digital board. Kindly take further action regarding this same problem and sort this out immediately without any further reminder.

Informed that was the owners responsibility, not the store (Feidens in Latham). Always had good luck with them, bought all my appliances from them. Now I heard a loud bang and she threw up - water everywhere. What a mess.Had purchased special patio block at Home Depot to even her out and every time I used it which was not too often, it acted like the space shuttle ready to head down the runway! Not too happy with Feidens attitude with regard to this purchase. Not going to call them to fix it. Not an ready to pay to listen to their guff again. Expensive machine never worked well since it got here. I always wished for a Whirlpool, be careful what you wish for! Junk, nothing but junk. Only 3 years old and I only do laundry about every 3 or 4 weeks. Live alone, so she certainly was not overworked.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer in 2010. I have had nothing but problems trying to wash black/dark clothes, it leaves white stuff. I assume its soap scum all over the clothes. Ive tried cleaning the machine with Refresh more often than recommended and it still has the same problem.
