The first one told me that I have not been doing a good enough job of prewashing the dishes so the arms were clogged. While cleaning them, he broke the top arm. When he came back to replace the top arm, he added that the dishes were not drying because I didnt use enough jet dry so I would have to dry by hand, and that the arms were clogging because I didnt prewash well enough. I told him to leave and never come back. I called customer service and they sent out a new company.The rep today told me that even on time delay or overnight settings I must run the hot water prior to starting the unit. And that since the water wasnt hot enough; the undissolved detergent was clogging the spray arms. This was confirmed by your phone support person who told me that for best results thats what I had to do. The result I want is for the thing to wash dishes. It doesnt do that. The current rep ordered a heater, motor pump and spray arms. My previous dishwasher operated perfectly (until the pump failed) for the 18 years I have lived in this house plus however long it was here before I moved in. I will never buy a Whirlpool product or anything built by subsidiaries or parent AGAIN.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WT5500XW2 from Lowes on 9/12/2012, which turned out to be the worst purchase of my life. It did ok for over a year. It had always been noisy. Now it sounds like a jet airplane when it is on the spin cycle. This machine is not yet 2 years old. Do not buy a whirlpool washer. They are Junk. Plan on getting rid of this piece of junk and buying a new washer. Dont waste your money on Whirlpool!

We purchased our refrigerator about five years ago and we have dealt with it freezing up constantly. The coals and vent are at the bottom of the refrigerator. I believe that is a lot of the problem. We have continuously blowed off the coals to keep it from freezing up but sometimes its still freezes up. I do not recommend the two-sided door Whirlpool refrigerator.

Spent the extra money to have a beautiful, slide-in oven. The AquaLift technology just seemed like another plus. After the turkey cooked, just seemed like another oven to clean. The AQUALIFT does not work, except for the bottom of the oven!! A fresh oven cleaner? Only available only. Get this beautiful range, not AQUALIFT TECHNOLOGY. CLEANING with it.

I bought at Lowes. The first one was sent back (doors stuck, suction cracked lining). Now the temps are not working in the fridge or freezer. All the food got dumped. Its sad. My old one lasted closer to 25 yrs. (and may I add up to ten children). This one has only been used by adults. I thought I could trust Whirlpool?! I sent info to local Lowes. I bought a Whirlpool Dishwasher, Model No. GU3600XTVY in July 2010 for $844.30. In August 2011, it failed to clean dishes. The repairman said it needed a new heating element and computer board which costs $319.92. Today, he installed the new parts and it still wont heat the water! Now he wants to take it in to the shop to check the wiring.My previous Dishwasher was a low quality builder-installed GE that lasted 16 years without repair. If we Americans accept that 1 year is an acceptable life span for consumer products, we will continue to have this type of trash sold to us. Made in America is now the product you dont want to buy.

I have a rental home and my residence, I have purchased a fridge for BOTH places. Within 1.5 years, both of the fridges shelving cracked. Customer service will not do anything to remedy this. It is a known issue with his model of appliance. There are numerous complaints and they DO NOT stand behind heir product. NEVER BUY WHIRLPOOL.

Don’t ever buy Whirlpool smaller (apartment) size front loader washer and dryer - from Home Depot or anywhere else. Beware of rules in warranty plans. I am very dissatisfied with them. I have had several service calls.

We purchased a Whirlpool water heater at Lowes for $1100.00. Four years later it isnt working. There are no parts to fix it available at any store in Dallas, TX. We had to call the company. They made us pay the overnight shipping fee for the part. Then the part didnt show up. When we called to find out why isnt the part at my house, they said they found out FedEx doesnt deliver on Saturdays. No one ever called to notify us of this, instead the response was that they would use it as a coaching lesson for not notify the customer. We have now been without hot water in the middle of winter for 5 days. We have no idea when the part will arrive and if it will even fix my defective water heater. We will never buy another Whirlpool product and I strongly encourage anyone who reads this to not buy Whirlpool. They dont stand by their product and have horrible customer service.

Updated on 04/15/2019: Called customer care about my ice maker which have went out for the second time less than two years and the 1st replacement have only been 9 months from today. Unfortunately they tell me it’s out of the one year warranty process and they can’t help me. Well look like the 2nd replacement should have been under warranty still. Their products are a piece of crap and they know it and don’t care because theyre making money off of the consumers. Be aware and advise you to stay away from Whirlpool appliances. They don’t stand behind their brand. There’s no way anyone should have to be making repairs on a new 2000 and sum refrigerator. Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load Washer Model: WTW7800XWO purchased at Lowes 8/26/2010. The lid was broken at the hinge in less than a year and was replaced under factory warranty. Lid falls down and pinches fingers. The second lid broke in the same location in less than a year. Lid falls down and strikes the eye. I’m speaking with repair technicians and researching complaints on this product. It appears to be a design defect that is not being addressed by the manufacturer.

I have had almost all the same issues everyone else who reviews the Cabrio WTW7800XWO washer. Now, the spring loaded lid wont stay up, so we have to use the Downy bottle to load the clothes. Thankfully, I have not had the lid crack... yet. We have had it serviced once while under warranty, that tech told us it wasnt good to wash small items, like socks. Are you kidding me? Now, the heavy lid falls on you while you are loading. I also have the Cabrio dryer, and we have fixed that more than the washer. DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL CABRIO. We bought it because it was the largest unit in the store, but it is junk.

I purchased my Whirlpool washer and dryer Cabrio Platinum model in September of 2014 from Lowes and have never been so disappointed in a washer in my life. Not only was it the most expensive washer and dryer set I have ever purchased but it is the absolute worst in performance. It has destroyed most of my clothes and linens, doesnt get them as clean as my former Samsung front-loader, and is constantly twisting up the clothes, getting out of balance and requiring me to adjust the clothes once or twice during each wash cycle. On recent research, I have found that I am not the only one experiencing these problems. Whirlpool should RECALL this series entirely! And I intend to post this review every place I can to prevent future sales of this horrible product.

Amongst all other items listed in these reviews (especially the tangling and twisting of clothes literally into knots), my guess is that is one way to ensure they are drier when they come out, wring them into knots... So now the pizza is slinging grease/oil all over the floor and water is leaking out from the bottom as well to make a perfect conglomeration of ** all over my tile. There is always more than one way to take care of the employees, hire sales people full of **, and technicians who know what the hell to do to fix it, with previous full of ** sales experience so consumers can buy more Whirlpool parts...

We purchased a 4 piece set of Whirlpool kitchen appliances and have minor to major problems with 3 out of the 4. We had problems with our gas range/oven from the start. When I called to register the brand new range they told me it had been previously registered to someone else and they made me fax my receipt to them proving that the appliance was purchased new. Lowes said it was brand new in the box when I purchased it leading me to believe Whirlpool tried to pass off a refurbished product onto Lowes and then onto us. No surprise when the stove stopped working 3 times in barely over a year. It was so defective Lowes ended up replacing it for us. Not Whirlpool... they only argued with me about how the third time it was out of warranty and offered no help in fixing or replacing the defective oven. Now our ice maker just stopped dispensing ice 7 days after our warranty expired on our refrigerator model # WRS586FLDM00. Whirlpool will only agree to cover parts and is sticking us with the service call and labor! And thats not all... the plastic coating on the dishwasher racks started coming off exposing rusty metal when it was barely over a year old and I have received a postcard indicating there is a lawsuit involving our model for overheating and fire events! Now waiting for that to be our next issue. I am so disgusted with Whirlpool. We bought Whirlpool appliances believing they were quality products. They are quite the opposite. This Cabrio Washer and Dryer are horrible!!! Dont ever buy one, they will not fix the F1 code, and Whirlpool customer service is non existent!! I hate this company, and will never buy a product made by them again! Be aware that Whirlpool makes products for Kenmore, Maytag, and a few others!!! I just want to spread the word about this washer! If you just bought one try and take it back for something else!!! STAY AWAY FROM WHIRLPOOL!!!

Bought a brand new 40 gal water heater from Lowes. Installed it and it worked fine. Next day no hot water... After doing all the tests with tech support. This smart mouthed CSR explained to me how her uncle is a master plumber and she knows what shes talking about. Still couldnt tell me what was causing it to not work. Other than the reset being tripped. I have had good luck with Whirlpool products. But customer service has always been poor.

We bought this washer from Sears with big hope. Within the first year, we had 14 service call covered by the warranty but required 2 to 3 weeks in doing without. Whirlpool replaced the washer at no charge but continued to have various issues over the years. The new one is the control module that Whirlpool knew was faulty but did not let their customers know. The control module went over the weekend but I repaired it myself and do not have any more issues. I literally went in and tightened all of the hardware, removed and install the pulleys, motors pumps and replaced a lot of keep components with better quality. Guess that year the CEO made only 20 million rather than 19 million. Being an American company I was disappointed by the consumer relations people but everything is a throw away nowadays. Will not buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product again. Where has American product pride gone?

I am done with Whirlpool. Everything I have bought is failing. I bought all new appliances when moving into my home. Dishwasher, 2.5 years old, quit. Cost is going to be as much as a new one. Refrigerator quit at 5 years old, what a mess that was. Paint is peeling off my clothes washer. I am not going to buy or recommend any more of this junk.

The dishwasher is noisy and the latch which holds the soap, at times sticks. When we think it is done and ready to unload we need to run it again because the latch that holds the soap DID NOT open. Not good.

In all of my 50 years of marriage and buying stoves, I have never had an oven breakdown. I live in Canada - I purchased three appliances, all Whirlpool 2 years ago. I had to have a service call on the fridge three weeks ago - a little rubber nipple was clogged up and water was running into my freezer. Bill $100.00 - two weeks ago, the broil element in my stove would not turn off when the bake cycle heated up. Actually, you did not have to press the fast heat button as the broil came on by itself. I have been waiting almost two weeks for the part - today I was told it would be another week. The part has to come from the US - what ever happened to Whirlpool Canada???? - I am told the bill will be $350.00 and maybe more plus the service call. I do not find this acceptable. What do you do when you have already invested the money in the product. Bring back the old Moffat stoves. I would like to be reimbursed for the money I have put out and will put out.

Burners always needed replacing and now do not work anymore - Whirlpool range looks nice, but very expensive to maintain. The burners constantly needed replacing, they do not heat up. I got a repair technician to look at it. He replaced the parts that the burners hook into. Now they do not heat up at all. Well, one of four barely boils water. The oven still works, oh great. The thing is only 7 years old. I have had ovens that lasted 20+ years at my dads house or 15 years at another house I lived in. With all the negative comments and the repair guy who tried to fix it, I think it is time to get the kids Easy-Bake Ovens out of the storage or buy a new range. Obviously, it will not be a Whirlpool. So many negative comments people left, my useless top burners seem mild comparatively.

Whirlpool gas range Model#wfg10h0ah1 with aqua lift technology. This is the biggest ripoff that was ever done to me. It say self clean, not it cleans and then you clean. This is fraud plain and simple. I am handicapped and made it very clear to the salesperson that it had to be self cleaning. 4 times I did the clean cycle and I was in shock, I called repair, I thought the self clean was broken. However this is the line they give you over and over, that its not broken. This is working the way it was designed to work. So they made a range that is self cleaning, but no it doesnt do that. For 899.99, I did not deserve to get duped like this.

I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio H2Low from Sears 6 years ago. After numerous problems with clothes not getting clean (soap spots, stain transfers, etc) I learned the only setting I could use that actually cleaned was bulky with an extra rinse (so much for the energy efficiency). My first major repair was in the first year. Weve since had 3 more and the darn thing died again this morning. First the motherboard died and needed replacement, the drain pump failed, the door lock failed, and twice now it stopped spinning. At first I thought maybe I was just unlucky and bought a defective machine but repair sites are filled with reports of similar problems with these machines. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

I purchased my Whirlpool side by side refrigerator approximately 6 months ago. Immediately upon delivery the compressor showed itself to be very noisy, especially upon start up. I questioned the delivery persons and was told it would become quieter with time. It did I not. In fact, in the following days it got worse. I contacted Whirlpool and was sent an “approved” repairman. The confusions and scheduling difficulties in this process, however, were many. Finally, when the man did arrive. He listened and said the refrigerator was working but agreed it was loud but apologized there was nothing he could do.I called Whirlpool again several times to note the noise and constantly was given the sympathy of people saying they “understood but there was nothing they could do.” Finally, out of desperation I contacted the store where I had purchased the refrigerator and they sent a manager who agreed the unit was unreasonably loud and took the refrigerator back. I researched the Whirlpool company and found they are essentially the same company that makes several other common American name brands, so I made a point not to purchase from any of these companies. Instead, I purchased from a foreign manufacturer and couldn’t be happier. All I can say is I tried to buy American but have been greatly disappointed by both the product and lack of customer service by Whirlpool. I will not buy from them or their other companies again.

On 5th July morning we got a call and he asked that he will come till evening. Now we got a call. They are asking that its not under warranty. Hum log paso mai dhik kar sakte hai. When purchased in 2014 last ist thing its under warranty only they have told us for 10 yrs. And we have purchased 4 yrs + back not 5 yrs completed. Apart from your customer service guys we never shown this to any one else as its under warranty, I am clearing this thing on prior notice. Senior are not taking action. I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator from Home Depot in Nov, 2013. Model is WRF560SEYWOO with water in the door and bottom freezer with ice compartment. This is a very small refrigerator for my very small space. I swear these companies program their appliances to break down exactly 1 month after the warranty is up. Thats what happened to me. Dec 2014 this horrible loud humming noise started. You could hear it out on the sidewalk! Then the door with the water just detached from the bottom and screws and plastic pieces fell out all over the floor. The day the repairman came he noticed all the rubber lining in the doors was detaching and huge chunks were falling off of it. He called to get replacement parts for everything and whatyaknow, all parts for this unit have been discontinued!This is what we did to cope with all these defects. The noise was caused by ice building up around the exhaust fan because the unit had stopped defrosting that area, so every 3 days I have to get out my hairdryer and melt the ice at the back of the unit. Next we MacGyvered the door so that it is resting on the freezer door. Next, he brought in some tape and taped all the pieces of rubber falling off my doors!! This frigging frig cost me $1,653.00!! I AM FURIOUS. Why isnt Con. AFFAIRS DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?!

Ice maker kept freezing up. Im continually taking the ice tray out to unfreeze. The frequent removal of the tray eventually broke the tab off on the liner. Ive now been told this (liner) is not a replaceable part and since that is the case, the warranty will not cover. Im upset that the repair technician did not process the claim properly and state that the make had a problem freezing. What kind of company would manufacture a product that would have parts that are unrepairable? You spend close to $2,000 on a refrigerator, wouldnt you think you would have an ice maker that works? I know they hope to sell more appliances this way but you can bet I will not be purchasing another Whirlpool anything! I will also be retracting my recommendations to friends and family to purchase a Whirlpool. The company does not stand behind its products.

I bought a dual oven Whirlpool 2 years back. This range keeps breaking knobs that are such a poor quality. I have bought knobs from Whirlpool 7 times already then got PSEG home service and they are tired with the quality itself. Save your money and buy another make! I have a Whirlpool gas water heater that failed after only three years of operation. My previous water heater in the same spot lasted 18 years. The problem is a defective thermo coupler design that burns out if a filter you cant access isnt cleaned every three months.

They have lost me as a customer, and by the looks of this board, Facebook page, I am not alone!

Whirlpool has always been known for quality products. But the range I haves burners are failing. It is eight years old. Think it should last longer than that. The oven works good, but the temperature varies as well. Lower oven door is designed bad, because grease gets trapped between the two glass doors and cant be cleaned.

I purchased this range 7 2013. I was a snowbird at the time so after November I went south. Upon returning my top oven when lit had a gas smell. It took three weeks to get someone out and was told it was the igniter and would cost 350.00 to fix. I then called dte gas for them come out as I have full house warranty. Since then five calls a new igniter and a new board just put in two weeks ago the board doesnt work. This unit has been discontinued. I would like to know why. And if there is a class action suit against. Whirlpool. Co.

I like this refrigerator. Its a two door. I did not get an icemaker and I have plenty of freezer room. The milk will stay fresh at least for a month. I like the crispers. They keep my food fresh. It keeped the Romain lettuce very fresh on the package, it was pick 7/31/2019 and just have a fresh green Salad Sept 6, 2019. Easy to move when wanting to clean the floor.

Last December our refrigerator began to freeze food - gallons of milk, bowls of food, and produce. I called Whirlpool: Of course the warranty had expired. It was suggested we turn the unit off back on to reset the computer. We did this for 2 or 3 months and eventually it worked properly. We were gone for 12 days, now the icemaker has stopped and all food is frozen. I called - they will send a tech for a minimum of $95. Read how many trips are usually made before a problem is solved. Cheaper and more logical to buy another unit from anyone but Whirlpool.

I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator 8 months ago model # WRF560SEXM which is less than a year old and already Im experiencing problems already. I have owned several refrigerators in the past which were older models and less sophisticated, and all of them lasted well over 10 years with no major issues, so to buy a new refrigerator through Whirlpool and have it malfunction in less than a year is unacceptable. Customers deserves better than this especially at these prices.My malfunction occurred when my ice maker stopped working and the internal temperature stopped working altogether, which caused all my food to spoil which had to replaced which was very expensive which infuriated me more and because my service appointment was a week away. I LITERALLY had to order out for food and purchase ice. And if this happens again I will have replace food and order food out again. WHIRLPOOL dont realize the impact this has on its customers. I purchased a brand new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer from Sears less than 5 years ago and am junking it! It has all the same problems everyone else has mentioned. I have had it serviced for faulty motherboard, unbalanced tub, broken lock mechanism. It had rusted out on the inside. Clothes are never clean and it constantly becomes unbalanced in spin cycle. We have to stop and rebalance every single load 3 or 4 times--or more if trying to wash a set of sheets or two or more towels. Cant leave the machine unattended for even a few minutes. I might as well be hand washing on a scrub board at the edge of a river! Waste of money and Whirlpool Customer Service wont say anything but should have purchased extended warranty! What a load of crap from what was once a reputable company that used to make a reliable product. WARNING--NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL WASHING MACHINE!!!!!

I chose based on the current ratings of the machines. They look nice and they can handle large loads. I think EPA has changed wash machines to be back into the 1920s. I put my clothes in and there is no agitator in the center. My clothes come out twisted tightly into little round circles or balls, not much water but now it takes over an hour to wash my clothes. So we are conserving water but using more power, I also have to iron sheets and clothes because they are so twisted and wrinkled. I used to stick my clothes into the washer, select a cycle and go on my way and now I have to answer 5 other selection options, if I dont hold the button in long enough it just turns off.Have we all lost our minds, I think this is going backwards not forwards. I have talked to other women and they agree with me, we HATE these new washer and dryers. The dryer is a little better but not much. Also the tops are concave so your laundry basket falls off, and you cant put your soap on the dryer which is where I am used to having it. Now I have to clean my washer every 30 cycles, iron and it takes all day to do the laundry, yes and they call this progress, really!!! I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio W10607 425A- SP and dryers Whirlpool W10680129C-SP, these are full size and have the steam options on them and are side by sides.

I purchased Whirlpool washer in 12/2011. Immediately, I noticed the noise and called service. It was a whistling noise. The clerk told me nothing was in the manual and it would cost $65 to have a tech come out. He advised me to wait until it was louder and more consistent. I called again when it was. Gear case was replaced on 5/2/2012 five months after purchasing the machine. I called Whirlpool again in 5/2013 - same problem. I was told the diagnostic call would be $95, labor which is extended for a major job is $85 and the part would be $290. It would cost $470 to repair as the gear case was guaranteed for only three months. This machine is a lemon since the gear case is now shot again prior to the machine being 1-1/2 yrs. old. I called Whirlpool and spoke to Amy (Esc. Sup.) who advised they would replace the part only. The appointment was scheduled; the tech came, did diagnostics reading a manual and said the gear case is shot. I inquired, Well, you are going to fix it today right? The reply was, Oh no, it has to be ordered and its a two-man job. When I arranged for this appointment, this was clearly explained and what I was expecting, two men and the part to be replaced with them. Now its a five-day wait to get the part and then a scheduling issue when they could do it. This machine is a lemon and Id like to have the machine replaced or my money refunded. This is a runaround, scheduling the appointment and having someone show up with the manual and having no parts and not knowing that it was the part which broke again from previously being replaced.

I bought this Whirlpool Cabrio from Lowes June 2016. It doesnt wash the clothes at all, always detergent marks or clothes just not clean. Now it is making some loud noise during washing cycles (sounds like motor is dying) and I now I have to wait for someone to come out and fix it during a 8-5 time span, so I have to take off work. My Whirlpool Microwave models WMH32519FS was installed in my new home by the KB Home builder Nov 2017 and went bad on Nov 23, 2018. As write this, my microwave is 1 year & 15 days old. Just out of warranty. The micro Keep show the same issue, open the door & closed the door. Still is not working, the microwave died On Black Friday 2018. RIP Whirlpool, I will never buy you.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer model # WTW6400SW3 in 2009. There are only 2 of us so the machine is not overworked. You would think it is 20 years old. When it spins, the noise is unbelievable. The bleach dispenser always has liquid in it and the fabric softener gums up like crazy. We have stumbled upon other complaints and now we are really worried. I should have followed my past experience and bought a GE! This is all we need. In todays economy who has cash laying around to throw away like this?

When purchasing a new home, the almost new Whirlpool double-door ice-dispensing stainless steel refrigerator came with the kitchen. This beautiful-looking fridge worked well for close to three years, but gave up the ghost shortly after its warranty expired; designed obsolescence perhaps? Problem was, it would have cost almost as much to repair as it would have to purchase a new fridge with a warranty. So, thats what I did, via a local big-box store. I bought a single door floor model, with the Whirlpool ending up as scrap, the whole incident leaving a bad taste in my mouth. If you have your grandmothers old fridge that still runs, keep it!

Weve owned this refrigerator for about 6 weeks now. It is a 23 cu. ft. model with a bottom freezer. It is working great, and we have no problems with temperature control in either the refrigerator or freezer sections.

We acquired the Cabrio Six Sense washing machine through the purchase of our new home, and quickly realized why it was left behind. This thing is pretty and has lots of bells and whistles, but that is where it ends. I am very surprised to find out that Whirlpool put such a piece of junk out for purchase. We will be pulling this hunk of junk from our laundry room and installing the GE washer that we already owned immediately. Anyone want a free washer?

Whirlpool cabrio top load washing machine sounded like a jet engine taking off on spin cycle then started spewing grease on the floor. Called hotline with make mod ser #. Repairman came out 5 days later. OOPS! Whirlpool made a mistake, repairs not covered. Please pay repairman $450. Should have had him make the repairs then threw him out of my house.

Our 2005 whirlpool duet washer steel drum and plastic tub broke. My husband diagnosed the problem and opted to fix it to save money. The parts are under warranty but you still pay labor and technician visit running up to $250-$300. The plastic tub was obtained only if we paid for it $100 and the steel drum they sent under warranty. The plastic tub has a hole with a black plug and sensor in it. There is a discrepancy in the measurement of the old tub and new tubs hole that is slightly larger, therefore when installed a steady stream of water leaks out. I now have 3 plastic tubs as that was their solution, to send more of the same that did not measure correctly. An investigation was done to determine they were the correct parts. As asked we had a whirlpool technician come to verify parts were correct and being installed correctly and the parts sent would not fix the machine due to the hole discrepancy. Many calls were made to whirlpool and they continue to give me the runaround. They now are not taking their technicians information. The technician has given the information to 3 sales reps in the new england area and made several phone calls to whirlpool and no one is willing to give us a solution.

Purchased WP fridge, stove, and dishwasher at the same time. All were the gold series. At 20 months, freezer stopped cooling. WP would not cover the repair. Refrigerator has been noisy from day one. This company does not care about their customers.

We bought a Cabrio washer less than three years ago. I have never felt that it got my clothes clean. The washer recently stopped spinning and agitating. We were told by a very experienced repair technician today that the gear case and bearings in the tub need to be replaced at a cost of $700.00. Needless to say, I am very upset. I called the Whirlpool Company and after being on hold for almost 15 minutes, I was told that my washer is too old to qualify for any help with repair cost or part replacement. My household consists of two adults. We do on average three loads a week. This is an inferior appliance and after this experience I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

Purchased my Whirlpool Duet front load washer WFW9150WW00 new in 2010. Also purchased extended warranty. After four years, just before my extended warranty was up, the entire inside needed replacing (drums, bearings). Now at only five years old, it keeps making a beeping noise in middle of wash cycle and wont continue working. Serviceman was told by a Whirlpool tech. that it could be two things, one being the door jamb, the other being the control panel. Door jamb was fine. Ordered new control panel ($240), had it installed and yet the washing machine still keeps beeping and doing the same thing. The serviceman doesnt know what else it could be. So, I am forced to return the part and purchase a new washing machine. I would never recommend Whirlpool to anyone!

I like the Whirlpool oven ranges because it is easy to operate, easy to clean and like the features and functions. I have had no issues with the stove and I have had it for four years already. So far still working good.

We purchased the Whirlpool Double Oven Range model GGG388LXS in April of 2011. The reason we purchased the oven is that we are empty nesters. We almost exclusively use the small top oven. We have streaks between the double glass on the bottom oven. We can not clean it. It is obviously a design flaw. I looked on this site to see if others have the same problem as it is too early to talk to customer service at Whirlpool. How have others fared with this obvious flaw?

Aqua clean does not work. I purchased this range this year not knowing aqua clean was different than a standard self cleaning. I had not use the range since its delivery in June until Thanksgiving. One meal in the oven and the turkey had created staining on the sides and the bottom. I have run the self clean cycle so far four times and scrubbed till I’m blue in the face. The greasy stuff does not lift off and the warranty voids if you use anything else. Have already contacted the dealer to see if I can return this!

Whirlpool Cabrio - Worst washing machine I have ever had. Unbalanced when washing sheets, towels. It does not matter if one sheet or two. I will never buy another one like this again. I would be better off having a twin tub for the amount of time I spend in the laundry to fix this machine when it bangs, bangs because it is unbalanced. HATE, HATE, HATE it.

Whirlpool Range Model XFE381LVS - 12/13/2014 4:30PM Wife was cooking dinner and turned oven on. Smoke started coming out of the back and called me. I ran to the breaker panel and turned off the breaker. Back to the stove, pulled it out and smoke still coming out in back at the top. I could see fire in the top of the back panel. Slowly the fire went out. Unplugged the stove, I removed the back panel, wires were still smoldering and the Control panel was burned thru. Took pictures so I could contact Whirlpool Monday. The Electrical control panel is destroyed as well as many wires. Glad we were home and oven was not left on while we were out in the yard or Home could have been destroyed. Purchased the stove from Lowes 11/02/2010 with a extended warranty. Tried to add receipt but would not accept, wrong type doc.

All of sudden, this expensive microwave stopped heating. Called whirlpool, they said they will charge $300 to fix it and $540 to replace. So much after paying new piece of garbage in 2-3 years.

I have had to replace soap dispenser three times and it is broken again. I also have to use the best soap or my dishes are dirty. It is three years old and is now leaking. I would never buy this brand again.

My Whirlpool refrigerator does well overall to maintain food items. However, even at the lowest freeze settings, some of the food items that are stored towards the rear of the refrigerator shelf have a tendency to freeze. This oftentimes results in food items having to be wasted. Other than that, the overall appearance and performance of the Whirlpool refrigerator is great.

Whirlpool Cabrio - I have had the same experience as those others that have written reviews - over $1,600.00 (on sale) - approximately 3 years old and I was just informed by a service repairman that water has leaked from the center of the tub into the motor and it is trashed. I went to the Whirlpool website to chat with a representative and they are sorry but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee there will be no repairs or parts replacements needed as components do deteriorate or fail on occasion due to factors over which we have no control - they went on to say that since the washer is approximately 3 years old there would be no assistance that we would be able to provide toward repairs. I agree that a class action suit should be considered since Whirlpool is taking no responsibility for a machine that costs too much - makes your clothes smell and lasts for such a short time. Highway robbery!! The dryer is no better but at least it is still working (today anyway!).

When my wife and I were planning our retirement, we made a to-do list before we officially stopped working. We are loyal Whirlpool users and over the next 3 years we purchased 4 major Whirlpool appliances in preparation of having 8-12 years of problem-free time as we go from a two-income working family to two people on fixed incomes. I retired in December of 2011 and unfortunately this did not pan out on 2 of the 4 appliances. The washing machine, in late February 2012, blew a transmission 23 months after purchase and 11 months after the warranty expired. Discussions with Whirlpool by phone were unsuccessful in getting the repair covered.Ultimately, this repair cost us $265.00. In late April, 9 months after the warranty expired, the refrigerator iced up and had to be manually defrosted, despite being equipped with ADS. My family and I did the defrosting because it was a weekend and tech support was not available. On Monday, the refrigerator was functioning, so I was told to run it and see what happens and call the tech if it happens again. I had done research online and found many folks were having trouble with this refrigerator model and the main problem was the control board”, a board that is used in many Whirlpool refrigerators. I ordered one after the initial problem and waited for it to ice up again. On Sunday, May 20, it repeated the same symptoms displayed and I put the board in myself and it solved the problem. This computer board cost me $95.81.I contacted Whirlpool about the two premature, post-warranty expiration issues in hopes of getting some reimbursement for the repairs. The Whirlpool rep told me that because there had not been a recall on either appliance, they could not reimburse me. They instead offered me a 6-month extension on the dishwasher I bought last July. I have been on several complaint websites and have seen the refrigerator control board repeatedly mentioned - all within the approximate 2-year timeline as my control board failed. My refrigerator was a GB9FHDXWQ01 model, but the control board is used in many of their refrigerators. If this has happened to you, please contact me at ** and, hopefully, together we can get enough data to get a recall and get proper treatment from Whirlpool. I have had my Cabrio for a year now and quite frankly, I find more satisfaction taking all of my laundry to a local laundromat. There is no soak cycle and when you have a kid in sports, that doesnt help. There is no agitator, and I am now convinced that they were originally in all washers for a reason. My clothes have all worn out and are shredding, not to mention my very expensive bath towels that I am now cutting into rags. This was the worst purchase I have ever made in my life and will never even look at a Whirlpool again. When I bought my house, I had a Maytag that was 35 years old and it did a better job than the new Cabrio. Should have stuck with that brand!

This Whirlpool Water heater was purchased through Lowes on March 29, 2011. This past weekend, water started leaking out of the thermostat/natural gas control located on the side of the tank. I called a plumber to take a look. He stated that a new thermostat/natural gas control was needed. Although the tank has a 12 year warranty, this item does not. Whirlpool did agree to replace the part but would charge me $30 to overnight the item which still would have taken 4 days because of a weekend. To install the item would have cost me almost $500.00.To purchase a new Rheem Water heater was $999. I chose the second choice as the first choice would have still left me with a subpar water heater obviously already out of warranty. The reason for my review is that I saw the number of complaints on the failure of this part. When I purchased this water heater, it was the better model due to the 12 year tank warranty. What use is the tank warranty when the other items dont last? There should be some type of reimbursement but Im not holding my breath. Please buy a contractor grade water heater and not the cheaper models.

Worst service ever. This is my 4th refrigerator (I have 2 homes and moved a few times) and I have NEVER heard of a compressor going bad in 8 months. This was a new fridge, and all of my food went bad along with my infants milk. I cannot express how upset we were, and Whirlpool told us that they cant do anything for us, and it was just something that happens. Basically, they told me, Sorry for your loss... you should buy a longer warranty since this is not covered if it happens after a year. This is Whirlpools way of telling me, we dont care if you use our product. I am amazed that they wont give us even a credit for what happened. NEVER BUY WHIRLPOOL.

Front load washer Whirlpool Model# WFW9400SW02, only had this machine for about five years and the main interface control board has gone bad. This part cost 1/2 as much as buying a new machine. My parents had the same washing machine for almost 30 years and no problems. Whats wrong with this picture?

WHIRLPOOL MICROWAVE HAS HAD MAGNETRON GO BAD 3 TIMES IN 1-1/2 YRS! I bought a Whirlpool Microwave Hood Combo Oct 2009. July 2010 the magnetron went in it! December 2010 the magnetron went in it AGAIN! This time we had to pay the labor to have it repaired because it was 2 months outside the warranty period. We did not want to pay because we knew having the same part go twice in one year that something is wrong with it. Whirlpool told us that if it happened a 3rd time that they would most likely replace the appliance for us. Well....July 2011 the magnetron went AGAIN for the 3rd time! Whirlpool told us to take it to a licensed shop to have it diagnosed to prove that it was the same part as the previous two times, fax paperwork from the prior two times, and have the shop call in the diagnosis of the 3rd time. We did all that, and they told us they wouldnt do ANYTHING for us because it was outside of the warranty period! Well they knew that when they told us we had an opportunity to get it replaced! THE SAME PART WENT BAD 3 TIMES IN A 1-1/2 YR PERIOD OF TIME. We trusted that the Whirlpool representatives were being honest with us during those phone conversations. Whirlpool can not explain why representatives would give us hope of a replacement (although each conversation is documented by their login and employee ID number). So not only did I buy a brand new MSRP $619 microwave, I paid to have it repaired the 2nd time, and to have it diagnosed the 3rd time, uninstalled and reinstalled the microwave each time, the inconvenience of not having use of the appliance during each occurance, and the unbearable suffering of calling in to customer service and repeating the story over and over to each representative. My house is brand new (we moved in to it November 2009); we bought ALL our appliances from Whirlpool. All I get for an answer now is sorry. That doesnt help me any financially having to repair and now replace an appliance that has been in use for only 1-1/2 yrs! I have seen $39 microwaves from WalMart last several years, so what is wrong with Whirlpools manufacturing?! Customer Service is unreliable, untrustworthy, non-sympathetic, and insanely frustrating! My question for Whirlpool is...why cant you make a product that lasts better (better quality=longer life=healthier environment and happier customers)? Why cant you stand behind your products better? Whirlpool ED5FVGXWS refrigerator compressor failed after 24 months. No help from Whirlpool as the said 12-month warranty had run out. I do understand it’s my bad luck, but they really should try harder to back the products they make. Two years on a compressor is totally unacceptable. They could care less. I even proposed a $200 rebate on a new Whirlpool fridge. My bad luck wasn’t the compressor going out, it was buying the fridge in the first place. Shame on you Whirlpool! Viva la Mexico! They told me I could use it as a boat anchor.

I have owned a French-door Whirlpool/Kenmore refrigerator for less than 3 years & all the lights start flashing fast when you open the doors. Anyone that knows anything about seizures know this can set one off. Turns out its a common problem with the LED lights & you have to replace circuit board at over $100.00 for the part, plus you may have to have it installed. Best to stick with a $0.99 bulb you replace every 5 years.

We have also had many problems with 3 year old convection oven. After about 2 months the broiler would just come on in the bake mode. I called Whirlpool about this problem and they were a bit ignorant on the matter. They said they could arrange a service call, but if they did not find the same problem mentioned that I could be charged a service call, even though it is under warranty. I denied at the time and the problem did not happen again for about another 1-1/2 years or so. In the last few months it has happened a number of times and the one time my wife leaves the room, the potpie burns up. She also lost a pan of brownies. Now we make sure that someone is in the kitchen when the oven is in use. Today the broiler comes on while pre-heating and for the 1st time we receive a message TURN OFF POWER TO RESET in which I did thru the breaker. It took forever to cool down, then she is going to try again. I also am going to contact Whirlpool and see what they have to say. Last I checked there was no recall for this model (#GFE461LVS), but there should be after reading all of the complaints or they are bound to have a lawsuit on their hands or maybe even a class action lawsuit.

This microwave lasted for 15 years! Worked great. Started looking kind of bad after 10 years but still worked. Amazing! All their products are great and last a long time. Would buy again. Boil water in minutes.

Its not even a year since I have had this washer / dryer--and I already made two service calls regarding the dryer. The washer does not get the clothes clean. When washing even one blanket, it bumps, grinds and does not wash well. I have had to do two loads compared to one in my Amana set. It is terrible. You have to stay with it while washing or always load. It gets uneven with any small load. Everyone I know hates this washer.

Whirlpool Washer Front Loader - Ripped off! It cost $250.00 to repair; the serviceman was at my home all of 15 minutes. The below or otherwise known as the rubber seal was ripped up and caused my washer to leak water all over the floor. I washed a load of laundry, 1 item being my 2-year-old granddaughter’s pants that had a 4 zipper in the pant leg. The serviceman suspected the damage was done by the zipper. So how many of us wash clothes with zippers?!I called and ordered the part from Sears thinking this was possibly something we could fix ourselves, only the part was on back order and would take a month before it was in. Therefore I looked online and could purchase the part, delivered for $91.00. I called for repair service to ask them about it. He said they could be difficult. It would take him about an hour to put it on. Guess what, it was on in 5 minutes. Now, Im even madder because I know I could have done this myself. Whirlpool! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this was 1 and a half years old; we’re a family of two, no warranty. Think people, we’re getting ripped off.

Purchased Whirlpool refrigerator at Lowe’s. Refrigerator would never get cold enough, so I exchanged with a Whirlpool Gold side-by-side refrigerator. After installation coffee was spilled behind refrigerator. I was unable to pull refrigerator out from wall to clean coffee spill from behind. When checking with Lowe’s on the 35th day, I was informed that Lowe’s 30 days warranty had expired and I would have to work directly with Whirlpool.I discovered it was very hard to communicate with Whirlpool; there was a problem that they only had on file the first refrigerator I purchased not the one I kept. The Whirlpool service rep did not seem very cooperative but with insistence they told me they would change my information to the correct model and serial number and a repair order was sent to a local service shop. The problem with not being able to roll the refrigerator out from the wall is that Whirlpool had changed their wheels to a tri-wheel support and there was not enough height on the single front wheel to lift the refrigerator to clear the screw down leveling stops on each corner. The service rep had no solution for the problem and had to call the Whirlpool service. He indicated he never was able to get assistance from that department. I told him I would talk to them as the consumer but they refused to discuss the matter with me, so I gave the phone back to the service tech. Whirlpool told the service tech to order replacement wheels of which I knew this would not resolve the problem.After two weeks, the replacement wheels arrived, the service tech installed them and as I expected they did not resolve the problem. I then requested the service tech to remove the rubber from the stops on the corner to allow for the additional required clearance and this solution worked. This is a very poor design for Whirlpool, but I accepted the results. Two weeks later I receive a phone call from the service business and they tell me that Whirlpool did not have the refrigerator model/serial number they worked on. Whirlpool was not willing to resolve the problem I had with them initially and the service business would have to bill me directly and was not covered under the warranty.At this point I lost it and informed the service business I resolved this model/serial number with Whirlpool before. Whirlpool gave them the authorization to work on the refrigerator and they would need to collect the fees from Whirlpool. I have purchased my last Whirlpool appliance mostly because Whirlpool makes it very difficult or refuses to talk to the consumer and it appears the quality is no longer there. Will Whirlpool become the next Kodak? With this kind of service, people will just quit buying from them.

One year old Whirlpool gas oven/range w messed up control panel. Every brand new Whirlpool so far has broken or is messed up within first year of purchase. I am going to complain to BBB.

Whirlpool Cabrio does not clean clothes and leaves white residue. I have had it for 1 year. Spent so much money on this set of washer and dryer and it is a piece of junk. Whirlpool customer service does not care or respond. Worst purchase ever.

I purchased the four-door Whirlpool stainless steel refrigerator. It was installed on the 15th of June. One month later, the ice was not coming through the dispenser and if it did, it was a small amount. During this time, I was receiving notices from them about purchasing an extended warranty. Today, August 23, 2012, the ice maker stopped working completely. I was disgusted. Paying for the top-of-the-line refrigerator that doesnt last for 90 days is ridiculous. Also, the handle on the vegetable keeps coming off. That will be the last Whirlpool appliance I will buy.

On 02/25/13 we purchased a Whirlpool Gold Series side by side (French door) refrigerator with an ice maker at the cost of $1,850.00. In April of 2014 the ice maker stopped working and the freezer at the bottom would not freeze food. Luckily for us it was still under warranty and was repaired. At the time of the repair, the repairman (associated with HHGregg) told us that the refrigerator should have been replaced since the cost of the repair was more than the fridge itself. Now July 20th, 2015, the same issue has surfaced. Again the ice maker will not work and the freezer wont freeze. I would not recommend this product or if you do pay the extended warranty.

I bought the Whirlpool Duet front load washing machine. It was a piece of junk and I bought it 3 years ago. Sounds like a jet taking off during spin cycle and drain.Well, let me tell you, its terrible. It walks out of the space its in during spin all the time and the F Codes. Im done! Just replaced the pump and motor for the drain on the thing and unplugged it several times to reset it. Still is giving me F codes.Im done, I tell you! Done! This has been going on since we bought it!

The dishwasher keypad failed after 1.5 years, went through 2 gas ranges, peeling paint and orange flame in less than a year. Now dealing with the washer, the pump is spitting out white plastic after less than a year. No more Whirlpool in this house.

I bought a Whirlpool washer and drying matching set (model 6400sw3). I liked it because it was extra large without agitator in the middle. Ive had it for about 2-3 years and I have already replaced the drain pump, motor and barrens, it has cost me over 500.00. I thought now OK its working fine, but now its giving me a code every time I wash of LD. I am so fed up with this!! I should have bought a new washer but I felt as much as I put into it, I basically built a new one. And now this code comes up every time and I have to power it off. Im not sure if anyone else has had this problem but I just dont know what else could go wrong with this. I will never ever buy a piece of junk like this again!!

I bought top of the line stainless steel Whirlpool kitchen appliances two years ago. Warranty has expired. Microwave error message showed need to shut door and press start. Door was shut, opened and shut door 20-30 times for microwave to start. Had to buy new Microwave. Now dishwasher now will not drain. Refrigerator ice-maker dispenser is too small and ice keeps getting stuck in dispenser. I am done with Whirlpool.

I bought a 5 burner Whirlpool range that I really like except the danger of knobs turning on too easily and releasing gas. You just have to brush up against them lightly and they turn. 3 times my nephew has come into a gas smelling kitchen. Whirlpool sent repairman out. He said they operate properly. Really?? What to do?? Does someone have to die?

We purchased our Duet in July 2010. It worked great until two weeks ago when the washer sounded like a 40-year-old washer. The bearing sounds like an extremely high-pitched “wrr”. We can hear it in the back of the house. I looked online to get parts and noticed that you cannot replace the bearing. You must replace the entire rear drum ($358.00). This does not include the labor. I talked with a technician, and they said the whole drum must be removed, not a one-man job, and to take the whole thing apart. Now, theres no price for installation. Lets go low ($200.00). Probably more. I cannot get a price nailed down without a visit. Now add those together ($558.00), I could put almost $600.00 into a washer that this could happen to in another 2 years. Wow.We had a washer that lasted us 15 years without any parts. I bought this piece of junk heater (serial no. 0804T411536) from Lowes and had their contract plumber install it in or about 2008. Since that time, I have had nothing but trouble with it. It just doesnt stay lit. Every plumber who works on it tells me that they have numerous problems with them and they cannot repair them - the customer has to get the part from Whirlpool. And today the woman I talked to told me that I had to pay the shipping charges, which vary according to how quickly one wants hot water! I personally find that a true rip off. If you cant guarantee the product you put on the market, then dont put it out there. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance or shop at Lowes!

I purchased a new Whirlpool washer and dryer (model number WED9250WR0 #WFW9250WR00). The washer broke after about 2 months. They took my washer and gave me some off brand one, because I purchased a 5 year extended warranty. They kept my washer for over 3 months, saying that the manufacturer takes that long to get the parts in. Its ridiculous! The tub, seal, and some other parts had to be replaced. It was shredding my clothing and my bedding. The first time they fixed it, a couple days later, it started making a horrible noise. The repairman came out, and a part had fallen off inside, so he put it back on. It kept happening, so I called them back, and he taped the part on!About 2 months later, the seal started shredding, and so did my clothing. I called again, and they had to replace the seal again. It still sounds off balance, and they said that was normal, because of the give in the floor. The day they fixed the seal, I washed a childs sleeping bag, and it shredded it too! I called again, and they refused to replace it, and they want to come and look at it again. My dryer lint trap seal also keeps coming apart, and I have gone through 3 of those in less than 8 months. They said they are just made poorly, so it will keep happening. I just want my money back, and buy a different washer and dryer somewhere else. I had an old pair that I bought, used, and they lasted me 5 years with less problems than these that I paid two grand for.

The Cabrio top load washing machine is a piece of junk, an expensive piece of junk. The only way someone could give this machine a good review is if they work for Whirlpool or they think beating clothes up against a rock in the filthy Ganges River makes them clean.We purchased the HE top loader because we were told that all the problems of the front loaders had been worked out in the new top loaders. What a joke. At least the front loader I had, cleaned the clothes. Since we got the glass top model, I made a movie that shows several items of clothes just sitting on top, not getting wet, not getting moved around, not getting rinsed; therefore, not getting clean.After the wash cycle spins down, the clothes are pinned up against the side and the rinse barely touches them before its final spin. We have several items that had stains left from the soap - yes, we used HE soap, Im not stupid. Never again will I waste my money on a Whirlpool product or anything from Best Buy.

Im so tired of the mold smell that never goes away, even after following their cleaning cycle many times over. I dont know what to do but I spent extra $ to purchase my washer and now this!

Sent an e-mail to Whirlpool. They responded with apology. Sent a second e-mail telling them they should be paying the $300 for circuit board in a two-year-old range. No response. Also, sent e-mail to Geniers. No response. The impression I get is that neither are the least bit interested in the problem. Once they sold the $1260 range, they were done. We will never buy another Whirlpool from any store and we wont buy anything from Geniers in the future.

I purchased (from Lowes) a Whirlpool water heater in 2010 unaware of the recall and problems a lot of customers were experiencing. I have changed (6) thermocouples the most recent yesterday 2-10-2014. The heater still does not work. Is there any compensation I can receive at this date. If Lowes were aware of the problems with the heaters, how can they still in honest sell these water heaters to the public.

I purchased my first Whirlpool washer in 1959 and have been true to the brand since. This was a big mistake when I bought the WTW4950XW0. At first I thought it was the learning curve on my part with the new technology. The very first wash load was dry on the top layer....never got wet. Then there was the blinking red light .....you could never leave the room and expect it to continue to do anything. One solution I found was to unplug the washer....wait 30 seconds and plug in and follow with lifting the lid and then close the lid followed by holding the start button down for several seconds. This worked sometimes.Very noisy....sounds like a plane taking off after the gears shift and lots of clicking and a long pause to have the water to enter the washer. I have run out of patience. I am going to buy another washer today. I called Whirlpool twice for advice and they offered none but a high dollar repair and no compensation for the lemon I had in my home. Enough is enough.

I bought my first refrig. on April 2, it was delivered on April 4 this year. Plugged it in---it didnt work. Home Depot took it right back. Delivered the second one on April7th-- plugged it in--- it worked but WAS missing shelves. Home Depot made sure we got the shelf. The fridge worked for 3 months. Died, it has been 7 weeks and a few days for Whirlpool to make up their minds if I am getting a new refrig or if they are going to try to fix this one. The repairman has been here at least 3 times - all of the working parts have been replaced at least once. The model is WRF989SDAmo3 SERIAL NUMBER **. Do not buy a WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR. Whirlpool do not please their customers.

After 48 years of marriage, I had never had a new, matching washer/dryer set. I had had several new washers, but only used dryers. These all were very good units and served me well for years. So I was excited to buy a new, matching set. I have never been soooo dissatisfied with anything in my life. As I have read from other reviews, the washer uses very little water, sometimes hardly enough to get the load of clothes wet, very little soap, and in my opinion, does hardly any agitating. I dont feel my clothes have ever appeared clean. The only ones that look clean were the ones that started out looking clean when I put them in. I know this is all an ecology thing, water saving, government guidelines, etc., but please give me my old washer back. It did enough agitation to get clothes clean. And the dryer usually will not get the jeans dry on the first attempt. I have tried various settings, and they just dont get dry. In short, I HATE THIS WASHER/DRYER SET. I have heard others talk about the same thing. No one likes them, but we are stuck with them. Would like to have the government step in and see how dissatisfied everyone is with them and force Whirlpool to give us our money back, trash these units, and buy something that actually works. PLEASE, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR WASHERS AND DRYERS, DONT BUY THESE. I believe they are called Cabrio.

I have had the machine pair (Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum) for almost 4 years and up until a few months ago I LOVED the washer. I was advised when I bought the machine to make sure to read the manual, which was very helpful in learning to use it properly. I have never had residue on my dark clothing or ever had the clothes come out partially dry. I use liquid HE detergent nothing powder goes in the machine. I also read many reviews before buying it and a got some advice from them. I have washed king size comforters with no problems. Everything has always cleaned very well. The only issues I have are that when bleach was used in a previous cycle. Ive had a problem with the bleach not being fully dispensed and ending up in the next load. Fortunately it was just towels and not darks!!! Although, I had just bought the towels and now they look tie died which was very upsetting to me. I learned to add water to the bleach dispenser to dilute it and that issue seemed to dissipate. BUT NOW... I COULD THROW A TANTRUM. I PAID 1800+ FOR THE PAIR AND THE WASHER IS SHOT!!! A pretty common problem with the Cabrio from what Ive read. It started by making a very loud noise when spinning, like a helicopter was landing in my laundry room! I continued using it, I even thought the sound was getting better after I did the clean cycle. The last load I did would not complete the cycle because it kept reading that it was unbalanced and unfortunately it was a load of heavy wet towels. I was far from happy when I had to remove them and go to a Laundromat. Needless to say its the bearings and to fix its very costly. I cant even fathom that a less than 4 year old machine needs to be repaired and the cost is roughly half of what I paid for it!!! I do know I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool. What happened to making things to last??? Next machine I will definitely get extended warranty. I can honestly agree with all the other reviews... THIS MACHINE IS HORRIBLE!!!

I have a one year old Whirlpool refrigerator which was fine for 6 months. Since then it has been a nightmare. If Lowe’s had not intervened on my behalf, I never would have gotten service. Have had at least 6 service calls, 2 new ice makers and various other parts. It should be bright yellow.

Found a crack under a freezer rack from sidewall to back wall. This has caused the refrigerator not to operate properly. Every appliance I own is whirlpool. Bought in 2005. Also bought another in 1994 that is working fine. What surprise me is having a crack in freezer wall. Nothing Whirlpool can or will do! Was a lifetime Whirlpool CUSTOMER. GUESS WHAT? This aqua clean is garbage. Had Whirlpool with heat clean perfect. Now have to clean my oven with self cleaning over easy off. I am so disappointed. I always thought of Whirlpool as a good choice. And have bought Whirlpool before. But not after this. Bad, real bad.

Easter is in five days. Our dishwasher purchased in December 2014 is not working. It has been broken since December 2015. Repairmen have been here THREE times. We were told that our warranty only covers parts and repair. Our dishwasher does not wash dishes. We went for a more expensive model and it didnt last a year. Whirlpool, remember your commercial?

In 2011 we bought a Whirlpool Washer (WTW4950XW). We had a one year warranty. There have been problems ever since we bought it. Of course it is no longer under warranty. In the last few months we have encountered brown spots on clothing. The washer has always spent an inordinate amount of time Scanning. It does not matter how much I readjust the load. I ALWAYS must do an extra Spin and Drain. Sometimes Rinse and Drain helps...sometimes not. Sometimes the machine indicates it MIGHT be finished washing but only the clothing on the bottom of the load is damp. It does not rinse the soap out. Recently when I washed my husbands coat several times -- he had to finally hang it in the shower when he bathed to get the soap out.We had repairmen out once when we had the warranty. They said the drainage hose was wrong. We adjusted that. I called Whirlpool more than once about our problems. They said they could not help because we had no warranty. OK. One young lady said we could get a 5 year warranty for $353. For $499 we might get a machine without all the 747 dials and tweets and fewer government, EPA amenities. Whats wrong with this picture? My old washer lasted 30 years. We are very, very sorry we did not repair it. All I want is a washer that will provide me with clean clothing, towels, sheets and blankets in a timely manner. That does not seem to me to be too much to expect. I am considering a washboard! Or the shower for ALL my laundry! I am angry and frustrated. I always considered Whirlpool a good brand.

We purchased the unit in March, by April it wasnt cooling. In June it shut down. In July after 8 tech appointments and repairs. Whirlpool finally said they would refund my purchase and I should see the money in about three weeks. That would be about a week longer than the refrigerator worked. I dont have the money to just get another one so I guess the family will be without a refrigerator for another month. That means shopping every day for perishable for a family of 10. I would not recommend another Whirlpool product. This is no joke, every time I called them one of the first things asked was Did you get the extended warranty? Why would they ask, sounds as if they dont trust their own product either. This unit was purchase online through Sears.com. Purchase price was $2299.99. Order placed on March 4, 2017.

We bought our washer in on 2011. Within a few months, the washers behind the screws on the top began to rust. Now less than two years after purchasing this high efficiency and expensive washer, not only are all the washers rusted on the plastic lid but behind the the lid and the side of the washer is rusted. Very disappointed and recommend that you do not purchase this machine.
