I bought a water heater in 2008 from Lowes department store. The heater would continually go out causing no hot water. The company had sent several technical repair men out to resolve this problem, and still the problem remains. The Technical Support requested that they will pay for the part and I could install it, not knowing if I am able to do such a job. The technicians who were sent to my home were not able to do the job. How do they expect me to do the job without proper experience? Whirlpool products are not reliable nor is their maintenance contract. Stay away from this company.

We have had our catalytic oven explode into millions of hot pieces again for the 3rd time. Contacting them they sold me an extended warranty which Im trying to cancel and have been trying since 30th Mar to contact on ALL of their lines. It is permanently on hold or engaged. This company should be avoided at all costs. If you work for this disgusting company DONT!! You will be out of work soon! It is unbelievable how bad they are at responding to their (now ex) customers. What the hell are we in the EU for when a supposed UK co is Italian and they never respond (AKA 1940). Ludicrous! Mine is a stacked unit...saves space and I just love the stooping over factor... BUT, its an energy saver and I always have to add about 5 gallons of water to it for it to cover even half a normal load...ugh!!!

I purchased this WRX988SIBM01 refrigerator new at Lowes 23 months ago. The freezer evaporator failed with estimated repair costs of $600 on a unit that cost $2400. The authorized repair person indicated that the failed part was a recalled item on the three door models. Mine is the four door model but has the same evap model. When contacting Whirlpool about covering some of this cost, they denied the issue and offered no assistance. This was after hours spent trying to get through. They do not return phone calls. I will never purchased another Whirlpool or related company product again. The quality is subpar and I hope my post prevents others from buying their shoddy products. Made in America doesnt mean what it used to.

After 2 months of owning this fridge (Whirlpool Model WRF993FIFM) it started making a horrible buzzing noise that you could hear all around the house, both ice makers stopped working, and it wasnt cooling properly. After three technician visits, and of course having to miss work to have the technicians come to my house, my fridge still doesnt work. The most recent visit today was from 2pm until almost 8pm, yes seriously 6 hours, and now the noise has gotten even louder and my ice makers still dont work. AND after the tech left, my carbon monoxide detectors were going off for almost an hour. We had to open all of our windows and sit outside to not DIE of carbon monoxide poisoning. So beyond livid with this situation. Its been a month since Ive had a properly working fridge. Whirlpool needs to do right and fix this situation. I will be calling tomorrow first thing.

Whirlpool Duet Washer Trouble. Im having the same issue as Tom in Oakville. The F35-Sud errors pointed to the pressure sensor - NOT. 2 parts, a technician visit, and $800 later, Im still waiting on a Main Board replacement that is on nationwide back order. Time frame unknown.

After reading all reviews online on the lid of the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer, it upsets me that there has not been a recall on this. Our lid has snapped & has to be held down until the lock light comes on. Often times during the cycle it must sense the lid is broken & thinks it is not locked & sets the load off line. I have to pause the load & then reset the load & hold the lid down tight until it restarts.

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator because of the brand in August of 2011. Its December 2012, the entire door needs to be replaced. It appears the cost will be as much as the original $750 investment! We called Whirlpool expecting they would stand behind their brand after hardly 18 months, but no ... It is clearly a defective door to begin with.

I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer from Home Depot. Within weeks the stainless steel on both products began rusting. They sent a third party repair service to look at both products and determined that, in fact, the stainless steel was rusting. Our technician said that both the dishwasher panes and the freezer doors would be ordered and replaced the following week. This was on September 4, 2015. After several promised arrival dates, the parts never arrived. I called both the third party repair company and Whirlpool on several occasions only to be told they were on back order. Finally, in late November, the new dishwasher panel arrived and was installed. It is now December 17, 2015 and our freezer door is still on back order. When asked what my options are, the Whirlpool representative simply said we have to wait. I said that because I have been so terribly inconvenienced that they should just come and pick up this piece of junk and replace it with a new one. Evidently, that is not an option. I will NEVER purchase a Whirlpool product again as they do not back their warranty. I now have a $2,000 rusted refrigerator freezer to adorn our beautiful Christmas kitchen. Thanks, Whirlpool. I purchased a WhirlPool dishwasher in 2016. The primary motor had to be replaced in 2018. WP paid for the part; however, I had to cover the labor, which was expensive. In 2019 the drying element broke. Again, WP will replace the part but leave me to cover the labor. Ive decided to purchase a new dishwasher (none of the Whirlpool brands) with a 5 year warranty. This dishwasher is poorly constructed. I cannot use it now, as the top racks assemblies have both fallen apart and the rack will not hang. The bottom rack is functioning on 1 wheel assembly out of four. And the one that is functioning is a new one I put on it three weeks ago. The dishwasher is 2 years old. I am very disappointed in Whirlpool, and I will certainly not purchase another one when I buy a new dishwasher.

We use a Whirlpool Washing Machine and it is one that came with this apartment provided to us by our employers. My parents had a Whirlpool Washing Machine too and they have had no problems since I have known them to use a Whirlpool. The Whirlpool that we are using has been very reliable in the past 3 years we have been using it. No issues whatsoever! The clothes do come out clean, so it does it's job! It is a top loading washing machine as opposed to the newer front loading ones. I have not used a front loading washing machine, so I do not know how it compares to them. The settings on our Whirlpool are basic and very easy to use. (If you know what you are doing, of course). LOL! Reliable is the word for Whirlpool!!

The Worst experience with Gold Series Mod WRF 757SDEM01. Purchased from Best Buy June 2016. $2215.00. Within 6 months The interior light began going dark within 6 months. Our very reputable warranty repair service ordered a part that did not repair it. Was only temporary. They did figure out that the circuit board was bad and promptly took care of our problem. Next I kept noticing water appearing on our wood flooring. Let it go because it only appeared sporadically. Called Whirlpool only to find out they switched to a warranty repair service that was inept and inexperienced. Said he could fix it. Blamed it on a freeze-over so I let floor dry up then re-started and refilled. Thought he did fix it cause it made sense. When reassembling he broke to upper freezer try glide. Then 3-4 weeks later I notice one morning water again on my wood floor. The dripping had been running beneath the wood slats and had seeped up through the joints. Now the flooring wood has swollen and will need to be replaced because of this. This is the second time I had to unload all food and store at neighbors and give away. Extremely poor engineering designs as each time the ice dispenser is used, nothing prevents ice from flying out onto the floor ever since day one. Same with water. The release does not shut down to prevent water or ice from pouring out onto the floor when removing any size cup. The refridge doors must both be opened to use the lower level drawer. Loses much cooling with having to always open both. Next, weve come home MANY times with the left refridge door partially open because of the difficulty of the mechanism to secure at closing. This happens to us 5 times a week for three years-honestly!. This was the only refridge we could find that would fit our opening in a 20-yr-old home. The fridge is so heavy one man cant pull it out of its opening. Only 2 very small wheels in front and skids in rear stick due to weight. Weve confirmed this is not a spigot leak from the ice maker. Finally (but probably not) the ice container allow much air in because of having to open the left door that your ice is always melted together plus it too small for a family of two and ice must be purchased when entertaining. And to top it off, the human that took the warranty call this time is foreign and my wife could not get them to get our last name spelled correctly nor the phone number correct after constantly repeating it. This unit and model is an absolute lemon. Im going out today to find another unnecessary $2500.00 to buy another.

This started Sept 27 2017 when the ordered online electric range 30 inch slide in oven Whirlpool brand was delivered. When using the oven, a noxious diesel smell filled my home, despite multiple attempts to burn in the unit as advised. 10 days later after still trying to burn it in fumes got worse. I called corp who then sent over a tech to look at it and the tech shared with me when he arrived that he was the wrong person since he cant smell due to an old injury! He admitted he smelled a chemical when it first went on but it went away for him but might have went away due to is impaired smelling ability. I called Corp back and they totally agreed something was wrong with it that could not be repaired and the unit should be picked up and I should be paid back that day it is picked up. They said in a few days which later turned in 2-3 weeks out and counting... I filed a complaint with the BBB due to the ongoing issues. Corp office said they would pick up unit and at that time hand deliver me my refund in full. At first the pick up was weeks out but after BBB was notified they came yesterday 10/18/17 and removed unit, but no check! I called Corp again this time asking why I did not get my money as they promised she said someone dropped the ball, and that someone should have told me that since they had to get someone non-local to get it that they will mail me the check in 14-21 days! She said I see in the notes. They told you they would hand deliver you your refund so they should have called you about the change.So here I sit... No oven in use since Sept 18 and no money back to buy one for weeks yet. I have never been told, despite my requests as to what the chemical was that I was burning off in my home and exposed my family to over 10 days which we had headaches and nausea from (despite windows opened and fans going at full blast). Only that it might have come from the manufacturer or process. This company isnt the only one who has had issues on occasion with a defect in this never-ending chemical smell but the lack of regard of my safety concerns and failure to stand up to what they offered to do (poorly handled response) is simply wrong and bad business. I have not dealt with Whirlpool regarding matters ever and have very little of their products in my home so unsure if this is unique or standard with them. I wont buy their products anymore because I am less than very dissatisfied with my experience. I may have been the only unlucky person having this kind of response from this company but felt the need to share.

The agitation is too loud. I called Whirlpool customer service and said I wanted to return the washing machine because it was so noisy. Whirlpool customer service agreed that it was noisy and said they would send a technician out. Whirlpool customer service never told me the technician they were sending would cost me 25% of the washing machine cost. The technician said this is normal all machines are this loud. Now I am out the cost of the washing machine plus the cost of the technician and all I have is a very noisy washing machine. Im a real satisfied customer. The machine was bought 12 days ago.

After reading many of the 1,500 +/- complaints about this inferior product, I guess I should consider myself lucky. Ours didnt fail until this past Saturday, March 22, 2014. We purchased this Whirlpool (American Water Heater Company) water heater FG1H4040T3NOV at Lowes, and had it professionally installed, in October 2004, and we have had no issues until this past Saturday when we woke up to no hot water. After checking for the obvious, and finding no apparent cause for the failure, I considered it a fluke and relighted the pilot. The pilot took a few attempts to light, but it lit, and the burners came on.Three days later, we woke to no hot water again. This time, we placed a service call to the company that did the initial install. The technician came out, and after his inspection he informed me that the thermocouple/burner assembly needed to be replaced. He also informed me that this is a well-known issue, and Whirlpool has been sending out free updated replacement parts. He called Whirlpool, only to be told that they are no longer offering free, updated parts. Whirlpool also cited that the water heater was out of warranty (by less than 5 months). He gave me Whirlpools number, so I could contact them myself.As I smelled a rat, I began to do some online research about this issue, and, to my chagrin, I found out that I was far from alone with this issue. As of this writing, 1,500+ consumer and professional complaints, a settled class-action lawsuit, etc., etc. I contacted Whirlpool, explained my situation to the support rep, and, he proceeded to tell me that he couldnt help me with free replacement parts, due to the warranty being expired (less than 5 months). I argued with him, stating that this is not a warranty issue, but is in-fact a design/manufacturing defect issue, that has resulted in a redesign/re-manufacture. I cited the myriad of online data and negative testimonials, and I reminded him about the settled class-action lawsuit on this very topic. He acknowledged all of the above, was unimpressed, and offered to sell me the parts.After 15 minutes of back and forth, I asked to be escalated to the next level. But, of course the supervisor was unavailable, and If Id care to leave my name and number... yeah, right. Bottom line, Im very angry! I paid good money to Lowes for Whirlpools product, with a nine-year warranty. I had it professionally installed, and we have no hot water due to poorly designed parts. And... I am being forced to purchase the redesigned parts. Its truly unsatisfying to be an American consumer these days!

I bought my home in 2010 and less than a year my Whirlpool microwave started forming a crack near the handle and today August 22nd, my husband and I are looking at it thinking, this is totally coming apart! My Whirlpool refrigerator had issues also. Stopped cooling less than a year, and I am thankful I had a warranty with it. Of course it was still under the manufacturers warranty. I Bought the Whirlpool Duet Steam Mod#: WFW95HEDC0 in 2015. I have always wondered how a machine can get clothes clean with less water but liked the idea of the energy star and saving water. However, I found that I was right and the clothes do not get very clean. They do not even get all wet hence the dry feeling when they are done. I just recently got a little frustrated at having to rewash some things by hand afterwards. I started to pretreat and wash out stains by hand beforehand. That helped some. I finally stopped the machine after all the water was done filling it and it tumbled a bit. It looked like it was wet from the window but when I dug through the clothes I pulled out a t-shirt that was almost bone dry. Some of the other thicker clothes like jeans etc. had a lot of dry spots too. This is why the odors don’t come out and why spots and lines are left where the dry meets the wet. There just isn’t enough water get all the material wet. I then proceeded to pour a pail of water in to get all the clothes wet. When I started it back up, it drained some of the water and I still had the problem. So now I get all the clothes wet in the sink before I put them in the washer. It’s amazing how clean they got and they didn’t have the body odors either. I think this machine would be fine if it could be reprogrammed to add more water for cycles. I know that would change the “Energy Star” but this water saving idea is bogus if we have to rewash and add more water to the cycles. At this point I will be looking for a new machine that doesn’t have the energy star but allows me to adjust the water myself. I do not trust these machines anymore.

I purchased at Lowes and they say was without warranty. I have had all kinds of trouble. The pilot light was replaced in the burner easily because of recall. Now the pilot will not stay lighted unless you tap on the gas valve. Then as soon as the water temperature comes up, the burner and the pilot light go out. I went to Lowes for a new gas valve. They have one for natural gas of $58. They do not stock for propane. I have to purchase from Whirlpool which costs $228. Their comment is that it is more expensive to build another. They do not change offices any longer because of PSi difference bull crap. I purchased a Whirlpool gas stove 2 to 3 years ago and I had to purchase an LP change over kit to use it. This is nothing but a case price extortion. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again and I would advise no one else either!

We purchased a mid-grade Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher a little over 2 years ago. 14 months in, the motor failed, requiring a $295.00 repair/replacement. That was nine months ago, and now the motor has failed again. That is outrageous! No more expensive repairs on this piece of junk. Its going to the scrap heap. We just ordered a Frigidaire. While I have no experience with that brand, it cant possibly be as bad as Whirlpool.

The knob on the Gas Cook top stove from Whirlpool (Part no: W10594481) is very poorly designed. It is very flimsy and breaks easily inside. Outside it still looks intact, but if you examine it on the reverse side, where it actually fits into the cooktops metal rod to turn the gas up or down, we can see it breaks there, as it is made of very cheap plastic. Although it is supposed to be a Stainless steel knob, it is actually all plastic where it matters most. I bought the new cook top from Whirlpool in 2014 and within a year have replaced all the knobs as they were breaking once every couple of months. I am still having this problem after 2 years now. I have contacted Whirlpool and have asked for a solution to this problem. They dont have any, other than offering a new version of the knob which costs $10 more and it is not easily available anywhere. I feel very cheated that I got a poor quality product and no help from them on fixing the problem.

Whirlpool WMH53520CSO Microwave oven purchased Aug 2014 - The light and fan will not go off when door is shut and not being used. The microwave gets really hot and afraid it will start a fire. Piece of junk that tears up clothes but doesnt clean. Company has ZERO care for their customers. I will never buy Whirlpool again. We called and called and called. Washer took two hours for a normal load. Crust and odors still there. Dryer was fine.

Spent the extra money to have a beautiful, slide-in oven. The AquaLift technology just seemed like another plus. After the turkey cooked, just seemed like another oven to clean. The AQUALIFT does not work, except for the bottom of the oven!! A fresh oven cleaner? Only available only. Get this beautiful range, not AQUALIFT TECHNOLOGY. CLEANING with it.

Whirlpool N50T91-403 purchased in Mar 12 had an error code 4. I knew the water heater had a safety installed in it when I was working on the plumbing and allowed it to drain the hot water side down to 16% of capacitance of 50 GL. After the plumbing issue was resolved, I saw the water heater had shut off (thermal protection) but the switch wasnt tripped as far as I could tell. Knowing small processors can only remember anything if they have power, I removed the Honeywell circuit board and with my multimeter probed all of the capacitors contacting them both (-) and (+) and in reverse order. Doing this forces the IC to forget its codes because they require a small amount of voltage to remember them, usually powered by a small capacitor. I reinstalled it and voila! Presto! It works again.

Im guessing the company that makes Whirlpool appliances no longer make dependable appliances… bought home 2 yrs. ago. Bought Whirlpool over stove microwave and expensive side by side fridge. After 1 yr. microwave stopped heating. Now my fridge is no longer cooling. Have cleaned it underneath, did all a normal person would do. I replaced my microwave last year with a Maytag. I’m sure I will have to replace the fridge very soon. My stove is a Maytag. Dishwasher a Frigidaire... have had no problem. Just the Whirlpools… Will never buy another Whirlpool. Not just me, my niece bought a microwave. Her stopped heating after one year.

In January 2021 I purchased a front load Whirlpool washer and matching dryer. They were delivered on February 6 2021. The first load we found water on the floor. I thought I didnt close the detergent drawer so I proceeded with the next load. Again I found water this even through the ceiling tile in room below. So with the next load I sat in laundry room to see what was happening. When on the rinse cycle water shoots out the front of the dispenser drawer.Contacted service, they sent repair man. He ordered new parts and I waited over 3 weeks for next repair call to find out that whirlpool had part all along. Repair man came again and still no resolution to issue. He was told to order same parts again - still no resolution yet again. I fought with Whirlpool till they said they would give me a new machine. Now fighting because delivery people wont uninstall 1st washer and install new machine. Today is June 28 2021 and I still DONT HAVE A WASHER TO USE. I havent even used the dryer yet. I have $3400 and numerous hours with Whirlpool trying to resolve this issue! Can you help? Whirlpool continues to string us along, telling us to be patient, theyre doing their best.

My review merely echoes the other 1-star reviews Ive read below, but Im including it anyway. We bought the Whirlpool Cabrio from Lowes in 2013. Two weeks ago, a mere five years after purchase and shortly after our warranty expired, it broke. It kept showing the UL code and took multiple cycles to wash the clothes. Unacceptable. We called the technician; he came out; told us it was the bearing that busted; and quoted us $800 to fix it (I noticed below another customer was quoted $400 for the same issue). We told the technician thanks but no thanks and purchased a $450 Samsung washer. Our family will never purchase any Whirlpool product again. From their customer service to the performance of their machines-- its all very much lacking.

My wife and I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set in 2011 and now the washer has an error code of F7 E5. I spoke with an appliance guy and he says that it is going to cost up to $450 to repair it. The wash cycle does nothing, it just sits there and then it goes to the next cycle. I have grown up in a household that had washing machines that lasted many years. This is a joke. Why am I having to buy a new washer in 3 years? I dont understand. Whirlpool knows that this is a problem and they should step up and do a recall or some kind of discount towards a new machine. This is ridiculous.

My dishwasher was only 18 months old when the rack adjuster broke causing the top rack to collapse. I researched and was able to order the replacement part which now comes only in metal. (The original Whirlpool piece was cheap plastic.) I spent $40 for the new part and spent several hours installing it without any help from Whirlpool. Then when I tried to use my dishwasher it wouldn’t run. Repair person came out and diagnosed it with a pump assembly failure. Part alone was $222 and it was on back order. Extremely disappointed. I have tried to contact Whirlpool to see if they would at least offer me a discount on the part. Their customer service number is never available. On hold for so long I finally gave up. Maybe I just got a lemon but I will not go with any Whirlpool product again.

We purchased the 36 inch Wide 4 Door Refrigerator with Exterior Drawer about three years ago and it broke down twice in that time frame. Then yesterday the freezer part and ice maker have stopped working AGAIN!! We probably have spent $2000 on repairs. Complete disaster of a fridge!! Do not purchase one!!

After owning the Cabrio washing machine (WTW5700XW, purchase price $629) for approximately 18 months, it began stalling at the spin cycle, leaving the clothes sopping wet. We found we had to unplug the machine to reboot the computer, and then we were able to manually choose the drain and spin cycle to complete the cycle. Before beginning a new wash cycle, we have to unplug to reboot again, or it sticks in a perpetual pump cycle.I scheduled a repair appointment from the Whirlpool automated service system. The repair man determined the computer control panel has to be replaced. Diagnostic service call was $136, repair est, $321.67, repair service call, $60-130. Total repair cost on an 18-month old machine was $520+. I declined the repair in hope of getting extended warranty coverage from Whirlpool. Nobody has responded to my email complaint from one week ago, not even a computer acknowledgment of receipt of my email.

We purchased Whirlpool Gold Accubake, double ovens (gas) in 2005. Since then, we have experienced identical failures (8 to date) during the self-cleaning cycle in which the high temperature burns out the thermal fuse of the ovens. This requires two Sears technicians to repair the unit (it requires two technicians to pull the oven out as the fuse location is in the back of the unit) and leaves us without use of both ovens for approximately 2 weeks (scheduling parts delivery and technicians through Sears home repair is not an expedient process).After checking other consumer product websites, it has become clear to me that there is a known design defect with these ovens in which the thermal fuse is not adequately insulated from the high temperatures during self clean; it therefore trips and burns out during the self-clean cycle. While not having access to ovens for about two weeks/year on average may sound acceptable to Sears, the reality is that the problem has escalated in frequency since purchase. In 2013, we are going on our third repair of the same problem (that makes 6 weeks of non-usable oven time in one year) and Sears will not consider replacing the unit, despite: 1) our obvious dissatisfaction with a lemon unit, 2) a well documented history of the defect with this particular Whirlpool oven and 3) an ongoing and escalating repair cost to Sears (it is under their extended warranty so the repair cost is on them although we did pay for this service up front on our appliances).I would stay away from not only Whirlpool appliances but also Sears as there doesnt seem to be any regard for the customer experience and taking care of a product problem (the right way) with a known defect. Sears has an opportunity to make this problem go away quite easily and retain a customer - fix the problem permanently or just replace the defective unit. Unfortunately, my experience to date with Sears standing behind the products they sell provides me with little confidence that either will happen.

I bought my first Cabrio set in 2008 to replace Maytags that lasted forever but looked their age on the outside. No problem with cleaning and drying, just wanted something new. What a mistake! I looked in Consumer Report Guide to pick and found the Cabrio set. Had problems after the first 4 months - UL uneven load codes flashing up, and had to replace suspensions and bearings, boards, etc. Unfortunately within that 4 months I bought another Cabrio set to put in my vacation home. Started with the same issues and really hard to get a service technician to come out because of where we were located. Customer service with Whirlpool sucks as well as Sears service. It is AMAZING to me that Whirlpool will NOT stand behind this product. I am writing this as I see an F1 code flashing on my washer here at my second home. I have a load of towels in it and house guests arriving in the morning! I will be trashing this washer and dryer and finding something old school and reliable. I want no bells and whistles, just clean and dry clothes. Whirlpool, you should be ashamed.

Exterior metal reaches temperatures that cause minor burns on an adult finger and could be potentially more dangerous for a child. The self-clean feature has crashed the oven on two out of three uses of this function and overheats handle.

Whirlpool admitted this has happened before. ** sent 3 different service repair companies to my house and all 3 told me the parts they recommended from Whirlpool was not going to fix problem. They finally after 3 different repairmen agreed to refund dishwasher. I requested they hire someone to give estimate on my kitchen cabinets. It was their product that done damage and I live in rural area and no one wants the job of restaining. If the cabinet is replaced it is expensive. Granite counters have to be removed and placed back, sink etc. I requested 3000.00 or Whirlpool send someone to give estimate. This has been dragging on for 2 months and still cant use dishwasher. Is that too much to ask for? This has been a nightmare and Whirlpool should be embarrassed. So many emails and messages and most of the time they are unreturned

The Whirlpool range has worked effectively and efficiently for over ten years. We have experienced no problems. It is used several times a day to prepare meals and bake items. The cook top gas burners ignite easily, provide equal flame distribution, and the oven has an air blowing feature that makes cooking and baking much easier. One reason we chose Whirlpool was because this brands stellar performance history, its appearance, and its functionality. Overall, we could not have selected a better appliance for our use. We can unequivocally state that was and still is a solid performer for its cost.

Whirlpool electric range with ceramic cooktop - I have a large black mark on one of the cooktop burners that appears to be beneath the surface of the cooktop. It’s almost within the finish of the burner and unable to be cleaned with cooktop cleaner. I have purchased an extended warranty and arranged for a service call. The repairman came out as scheduled, but informed me after making a phone call to who knows, because he did not tell us that the problem was cosmetic and could not be repaired under warranty. However, if we wanted a replacement cooktop, it would cost almost as much as a new stove. He also said that he had seen many of these ceramic burners with that problem and it was not unusual. All I really want is what is fair, a defect that is not my fault that needs to be replaced. The stove (Whirlpool electric range with ceramic cooktop) was purchased in 2004 and is kept very, very clean.

Please do not buy a Whirlpool range, they are dangerous. The ovens when they shut down still let gas into the stove. My whole house filled up with gas twice. Whirlpool will not honor the replacing of this stove and give me a replacement. They will repair the range on what they think is wrong but will not put it in writing that it is safe. The fear of using this range after repair is not worth risk I will have to take since Whirlpool does not stand behind their product.

We have had this Whirlpool washer duet 5 years. It regularly rips shirts, underwear, socks, and sweatshirts. Jeans or heavy denim are safe but polos, hanes, or flannel are not. We have been putting our clothes into laundry bags and lingerie bags for a couple of years now to wash safely. Additionally it leaks out the front door. We clean it regularly and it still has mold growing on the rubber gasket - we do prop the door open also. All in all it is a terrible dryer. My previous Maytag was fabulous. I will never buy a Whirlpool again!

I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator from Lowes. 21 months later I need to replace the compressor. Whirlpool has been kind enough to cover parts and labor, but it has been 24 days and no service call yet. After multiple calls to their service department, who keep telling me there is not another dealer in my area, I am forced to wait. Living out of coolers for the past 21 days is very frustrating. I wanted to rent a fridge and send them the bill, but they would not cover that. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product in my life and will advise family and friends on the reliability and service I have received.

First one had major problems. The bladder they call it. They took out the whole system out, replaced the tube that goes to the top of the refrigerator which is where it always starts leaking so they worked on it three times, junked it, gave me a new one and here I am again same thing. Ruined my hardwood floor and Im stuck with it. Never again will I buy WHIRLPOOL.

My washing machine would not spin dry. I had a new pressure switch replaced to a tune of $180.00 which was only 26 months old. I have always bought Whirlpool but this will be my last whirlpool appliance.

This Whirlpool fits in a 1962 brick split level kitchen perfectly. It is both beautiful and runs as hoped. It has a bottom freezer, allowing the top portion to hold a full Thanksgiving and Christmas turkey platter. I love this Whirlpool. It is also made in America!

My 4- to 5-year-old Whirlpool Cabrio 6300 began to display errors recently. F1 was the 1st error code I encountered. After giving the washer a hard shove and rocking, it began to work properly again... for a while. I noticed on some large loads that I was getting an LD Long Drain error. I could hear the pump running but with little water flow. Eventually, it would time out and give the LD error. A service tech was called and determined that the water pump was defective, although the impellers inside appeared okay and had no foreign objects to impede its spinning. After spending $225 for the service call, the LD error resurfaced about an hour after the tech left. Tonight I got the F1 error again, and once again the washer responded to a sharp rap. The replacement control board, which the F1 error code involves, is $220 plus labor. $440+ for a repair to a $600-$700 washer? Im going to dissect the main control board tomorrow and look for loose or corroded connections. I cant understand why the LD code occurs when I can hear the drain pump running... just very little comes out. Other times it empties like Niagara falls... I cant understand why it works sometimes and fails others. The pump is either on or off. It doesnt have multiple speeds as far as I know. Im not sure what to do next... probably try to re-sell the new pump that was installed to recoup some of the money I paid for a non-working Cabrio. This seems to be a very common occurrence.. Have any class action suits been mentioned? If so, please feel free to contact me.

It works quite well except if you put items in the back of the top shelf of the refrigerator it will freeze them as if they were in the freezer section. I have a bottom freezer and that works quite well. And it is very quiet when running.

I just purchased a brand new refrigerator from Whirpool and after 2 weeks been delivered I started having a lot of issues. They sent a technician twice to get it FIX but Im still having the same problem. And they dont want to replace the unit. They want to keep sending technicians to make the same repairs. Its a NIGHTMARE!! Please do yourself a big favor and buy a different brand. I dont recommend!! By the way this appliances are made in MEXICO!!

We bought a small refrigerator/freezer Model WRT112CZJZ for a guest house. When not in use it was turned off at the unit control panel with the doors left open. There was a power failure and when the power was restored the refrigerator turned itself back on. Needless to say it must have been running for 2 weeks with the doors open and the condensation filled the holding tank and then proceeded to overflow on the wood floor. The floor was ruined. There was no indication in the manual to warn of the unit restarting when power is restored so it must be unplugged or the circuit breaker turned off to avoid a similar problem.

I updated appliances in new house, but didnt realize the builder would choose the smaller side by side frigidaire. Could use a larger freezer space, also would like a ice maker that cut off when bucket is full. Overall I love Whirlpool appliances.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine in September 2006, and have had nothing, but problems. I constantly have to get online to check error codes. Several months ago, the washer just stopped working. We called Whirlpool technical support. They said wed have to pay for a repair. After several calls to Whirlpool for help, I found online references to a recall for the same problem. Whirlpool NEVER mentioned that the washer was recalled for the very same problem. I called them back with the recall information, and they politely sent someone out to rebuild the washer. Less than a year later it is no longer working, again. I went online first this time, to check for further recalls and complaints about the current problem (faulty control panel). I found many complaints about the same problem--even a reference to a class action law suit. Whirlpool said they were unaware of the problem, didnt have many complaints, and are unwilling to help. I asked for a supervisor, Benjamin, and he said there was NO means by which I could further escalate my complaint.

Literally from day one I had an issue with my Gold Series which was aggravating but at least it was on warranty. Then 2 months out of warranty I had another problem, a leak. Now no water circulation. I think it is maybe 3 years old. What a piece of junk and my Whirlpool washer and dryer? Not much better. I will never buy another.

We bought a gas Whirlpool Stove from Lowes. We noticed it was not heating like our last stove and thought maybe because it was new. No the stove does not heat properly at all. I cooked a pork loin for 40 minutes at 350 and it was still raw in the middle. I have had to cook everything on 375 which makes the door handles and knobs very hot. I called Lowes and they patched me into Whirlpool after a 45 minute wait. The rep from Whirlpool said, you can look at the manual and figure out how to calibrate it. No I cant. I have a warranty that is what it is suppose to cover. Then I was on hold for another 20 minutes. Really no one should tell you to read a manual to fix a gas stove. I will not buy another Whirlpool item. Poor customer service and that make you feel you are bothering them.

I bought 40 gallon gas water heater in June 2004 and had to have it worked on twice, costing more than I paid for it. I am replacing it now because pilot light will not stay on, and it is currently out of warranty, and I have no faith that simple repair will hold more than 1 year stint. Customer service was attentive but product itself failed to meet expectations.

Whirlpool is one of the best appliances I have ever used. They last for years and the self clean ovens come in handy. I’m not to big on the electric stoves, but they are also amazing. Almost everyone in my family use Whirlpool, and we all love the stove and refrigerator. It is definitely a wonderful product.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer w103386894 - I have had nothing but problems with this piece of crap washing machine. Either the clothes come out soaked at the end of the spin cycle, or it gets stuck in a cycle and repeats. It makes so much noise you can hear it through the whole house. It is less than three years old and now it is leaking water. I had a base model Sears Kenmore that I had for over 12 years and it died from old age. This Whirlpool is pure crap, do not buy.

Hi team, I have to lodge this complaint after because of getting continuous problems I have suffered with my Whirlpool fully automatic washing machine top load 11 kg bloom wash 360 degree. I purchased the abovesaid brand new washing machine on 1st Jan 2017. Since the purchase I am struggling with this machine. I raised the fault in the beginning itself and the service was done on 5th of Feb. Jobs sheets enclosed here with.Similar issues kept on arising and whenever I raised those issues with the whirlpool team, they mentioned that company policy is to repair the faulty part if it’s in warranty and they will not replace. They suggested me to go for the AMC and to be on the safer side, I also took AMC under warranty period only. (AMC card - My cheque dates and service details all are mentioned onto it.) Recently I faced another issue on 26th Feb for which ticket was raised. Engineer visited on 27th Feb and advised us to replace the motor part. On 3rd March they replaced motor mechanism and ball-bearings. Then engineer advised us to check the working by giving a trial wash.I started the machine to wash clothes and after 20 mins machine started making abnormal noise. (I have made video of it, audio of the video captured the noise). I again called up the service engineer immediately and informed him about the voice coming out of machine and he gave a lame answer by saying “It is normal sound”. Then I again called Whirlpool and requested senior engineer visit to resolve the issue. Senior engineer visited and told us that one of motor screw wasn’t tighten properly. It opened while running the machine which completely damaged the motor.After that I am continuously calling to service centre to get the updates on my machine motor replacement. Finally they mentioned that they dont have motor part available with them due to company ceased this model productivity. When I raised this issue with the Whirlpool team they mentioned that they can only pay 40% of the machine value, because I had AMC. However, I did mention that this damage is caused by the negligence of their service engineer, but they didn’t discuss anything about it.When I continuously chased them they dropped me an email to refund only the 40% of the machine value. I feel cheated and harassed!! When I bought the machine they gave us 10 years warranty now they mention that motor is not available as it’s a 5 years old model. My grievance is that since I had already taken the AMC and the damage was also caused by their engineer, why I have to bear the loss. I have already struggled a lot with this machine since last 5 years from the day I bought this machine and now I am losing my hard earned money. Kindly do the needful. My Whirlpool Duet washer was purchased on August 2006. The first one had to be replaced as it flooded my laundry room on the first floor and the basement – not once but twice. When I was told that they would send yet another service person out to try and fix it, I told them it would be at the curb and that I was looking forward to filing a lawsuit. Then after being on hold for forever and getting the company that sold me the unit involved, they replaced the washer at no charge.From day one I hated this washer machine. If you failed to take the clothes out immediately after washing, they would get a musty type odor and I never felt the clothes got cleaned enough. Yesterday, I went to empty a load of laundry and it was soaking wet with water pooling in the bottom of the barrel. Today, I had a certified Whirlpool tech come and look at the washer and he told me to put it at the curb as the rear bearing is shot and needed to be replaced. He also told me not to buy another front loader and the cost of the repair would be approximately $800.Thank you to Whirlpool for manufacturing a true hunk of crap that, may I say, cost me $1300. I will make sure I tell everyone I know that your products are crap and I would rather wash my clothes by hand. I did call the WP customer service number and was told that this is unheard of and that these machines rarely have any problems. After just reading multiple complaints of the exact same problem, I now know that this product is inferior and the design of the bearing assembly is seriously flawed. A major recall is probably in the near future and Whirlpool is hoping that most people will just dump them before the recall is made public.

We paid $6,000 over and above my homes purchase price for double ovens that are defective. Whirlpool will not address the problem! When you bake a pie or a turkey, the bottom and center are raw, and the top burns, because the bottom element is hidden under the bottom of the oven, instead of on top of the interior floor area of the oven. Whirlpools new design is defective! The service technician says the oven is performing as designed therefore there is a design defect! However, Whirlpool will not take any action, because the parts are not broken and they send us back to the extended service plan people. It is ridiculous for the consumer to be caught in the middle. Whirlpool does not want to stand by their product.The builder of our home, Coleman Homes in Middleton, ID, purchased the ovens from Whirlpool originally. Therefore Whirlpool says we are not the original purchaser of the product, Coleman Homes are, and Whirlpool cannot do anything because we did not buy the ovens directly from Whirlpool ourselves, Coleman Homes did. The Whirlpool Warranty (waste of money) says they cannot do anything because it is not a parts issue. Coleman Homes says they cannot do anything because the warranty was given to us when we purchased the home. I work on Whirlpool refrigerators for a living every single day of my agonizing, miserable, lousy life. Ive never seen such a mass of dysfunctional, defective rejects as I have with the new Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerators. The ice maker never works because the water line always freezes in the door. The food in your refrigerator side will either spoil or freeze because the damper door will stick open or freeze shut. The water filter housing will start leaking before you change the filter for the first time because of the inferior quality of the plastic its made from. And of course my all time favorite the compressor will always go out under the first 5 years (Thats why Whirlpool changed the warranty from 5 years to 1 on the sealed system). Ive never been a big extended warranty believer. But, like old saying goes, They just dont make them like they use to. Definitely applies to Whirlpool refrigerators.

If you ever bought something from the store and the sales person said dont worry about, if you have any problems they will go ahead and fix it.... BEWARE... I purchased my fridge from BrandsMart USA in Feb of this year.... It was approx 2500.000 fridge we bought because it matched the rest of the appliances. Little did we know this has been a living nightmare. They have been out to the house 7 times to fix this thing. Its less than 8 months old.... and its still broken. I have been without a fridge going on 2 1/2 weeks. The Senior Customer product review supervisor said he would get me a new fridge that was on the 27th. Every time I call him, his voice mail is full of.... Only to assume that is full of other satisfied customers. I HOPE YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD. What a waste of $2500.00.

My oven had been temperamental since day one, then got worse over time. I do not use my oven that much so was not really worried or alarmed until a tray of cookies caught fire. It was set at 350 and jumped to 525 on its own. (I bought an oven thermometer to monitor) Minor burn taking tray out but all okay :-). Contacted Lowe’s where we bought it and they would do nothing (note: at this point the oven is 15-months old and out of warranty). Advised me to contact Whirlpool. Did that - they sent out a repair service and they determined it was the temp. sensor. It is now April 2014 and I am still waiting for the part (this all started Sept 2013). I have since talked and wrote to Whirlpool for this to be resolved and also asked that the range be recalled due to fire hazard at the least! When I spoke to them in December, they said they could give me ‘50% off the part’. Remember I am still waiting for that part, lol! After writing corp h/q, they said “Sorry, since we cant get the part why not have someone come in and take the old part out and have it rebuilt.” I ask you Whirlpool w/q would you be happy with that??? My refrigerator will be 3 years old in September. It stopped working two months after my warranty ended, in November Thanksgiving Day. I was so thankful that I had snow on my deck to keep everything cold. I had several family members in my house and watching my husband defrost a frost-free frig? This was a nightmare. Then a few weeks later, my husband company refrigerators did the same thing: freeze up and stop working. He defrosted theirs as well.I know that lots of consumers have had the same issue with any of the bottom freezer refrigerator doing the same thing. I think we, consumers, should make these company recall these lemons. Why should we have to pay more and buy more our parents had their appliances last for years. He had done this approximately 3 times since my warranty ended in September of last year. The problem is the food goes bad, the freezer ices up, causing the refrigerator to ice up and stop the air flow.I contacted the company and this is what they told me: I had to pay $295.12 to get the repair completed. It was the DEF control board. I guess others have the compressor go out and that cost over $600 to fix. Why is it our fault as a consumer buying their products promised and concern for 1 year, not 10 years. It is no wonder why America is broke? My question to the Whirlpool was, how on earth can this be the consumers fault? Here is their reply:According to the model and serial number provided, we do not indicate that there are any known recalls with this particular model. A recall requires that a product poses a threat to a persons life or health. Since this is not the case in this instance, we do not have a recall. Once a product warranty has expired, any costs for maintenance, service, or component replacements are then within the owners time frame of responsibility. Taking this into consideration, I regret to inform you that due to the age of the product, we will be unable to assist with the cost of the repair. If you have purchased an extended warranty, we would recommend contacting your extended warranty provider directly to discuss the options they provide.Oh, they sent me a postcard asking if the repair service I received was good... Yes, the company who came out did a fantastic job. I think I may have to call them back; it is acting up again. I have 90 day warranty....

Never worked proper form the start, always condensation, bottom froze and top unthawed and vice versa. No help from store or company. During any temp change the fresh food would freeze and top unfreeze and no matter how long you waited and changed settings. Junk.

I purchased the Stainless Steel, side by side with water and ice dispenser, model #WRS325FDAM04 on 11/30/16, paying over $1,600 for the refrigerator. We had trouble from the beginning with the freezer door not closing all the way. When the repairman came out, he said the entire door had to be replaced, as it was warped. Since then, one by one other items are breaking in the freezer and refrigerator. The plastic casings holding the glass shelves have broken on all three shelves in the refrigerator, the wall of the refrigerator and the freezer is cracked in several places, the ice bin has a hole in the bottom, where the device rotating the ice out broke and now when used, ice falls into the freezer, and the bins in the refrigerator have broken as well as some of the door shelves in the refrigerator and freezer.I called Whirlpool before posting a review to provide them an opportunity to at least offer to help in some way. Their response was due to so many pieces missing/damaged they would not be able to help in any way at this time. I purchased a Whirlpool product as I expected I was purchasing a quality product with quality workmanship from a reputable company. I have been sadly disappointed and will no longer support Whirlpool by purchasing any item manufactured by them and will share my experience at every opportunity.

Easy to operate. Easy clean feature is thorough. Glass top is easy to clean as well. Even temps cook the food well and this oven is reliable. Lots of options of temperature. Glad we chose this brand.

We bought this washer from Sears with big hope. Within the first year, we had 14 service call covered by the warranty but required 2 to 3 weeks in doing without. Whirlpool replaced the washer at no charge but continued to have various issues over the years. The new one is the control module that Whirlpool knew was faulty but did not let their customers know. The control module went over the weekend but I repaired it myself and do not have any more issues. I literally went in and tightened all of the hardware, removed and install the pulleys, motors pumps and replaced a lot of keep components with better quality. Guess that year the CEO made only 20 million rather than 19 million. Being an American company I was disappointed by the consumer relations people but everything is a throw away nowadays. Will not buy a Maytag or Whirlpool product again. Where has American product pride gone?

I purchased my Whirlpool gas range about 5 yrs ago as brand new. Two and a half years after purchase, I started getting the F2 error and always had to pull the breaker to stop the oven. Whirlpool would not do a thing, they wouldnt even listen to me. So I bought a new control panel. Now once again here it is the holidays and Ive started getting the F2 error when I try to use the oven. So needless to say this is my last Whirlpool appliance. And the Service Officer wont even listen to me when I say I have to buy a new oven.

Whirlpool Gold french door refrigerator. Ice maker stopped working and freezer stopped freezing. 888 complaints on these and they deny a problem.

I had a Whirlpool oven for 14 years. It worked great and the control board burned up during the cleaning cycle. I purchased a new whirlpool oven that did not have an exposed bottom heating element. It takes way too long to preheat and if during baking, you need to change the temperature, it starts preheating again and the displayed temperature is lower than the original temperature that was set at the beginning; and it takes too long for the oven to reach the new temperature. This appears to be the result of the bottom heating element being hidden. Heating and maintaining a consistent temperature is far more important than being able to clean the bottom of the oven especially when this is a self-cleaning oven.Updated on October 20, 2015: This is an update on my last review. I was cooking a cake at 350 degrees and when the designated time was up, I opened the door to check for doneness. The cake needed to cook a little longer, so I closed the door and the temperature immediately went to 300 degrees and started preheating again which of course caused the oven to get too hot for the cake I was baking. Who is designing these ovens??? Certainly not a person that cooks on a day-to-day basis. I will never buy a Whirlpool oven again.

I will never purchase from Whirlpool again. After 3 years of use in a 2 - person (adult) household, my Whirlpool Duet (WFW94HEXW2) washer suddenly stopped working with an F6 E2 error code. I unplugged / plugged in the machine, took off the top & checked connections, and let it sit overnight. I could not get it working. Speaking to a local repair technician via phone, he indicated it is likely the control board. Whirlpool changed that part from part number W10406632 to part number W10427967. Before spending the money on a service call, he suggested I contact Whirlpool to see if it is under recall. I contacted Whirlpools customer service. They told me the washer is not under recall but I may qualify to purchase their Repair + 1 service. When I expressed frustration at spending so much on a product that lasted only 3 years I was told This is not a known quality issue or recall. I will document a complaint for you. The chat session was then terminated by the customer service representative. We will spend over $300 to replace the part that Whirlpool obviously knows is flawed. However, I will not pay for an additional Whirlpool repair service to fix something that should not have broke in the first place. And Whirlpool (including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn - Air, etc.) will never get our business again.

Whirlpool under-counter dishwasher (model DU1345XTVB0) was purchased 14 months ago. Upper rack plastic adjustable wheel rack is broken. Will not replace. Dishwasher has probable design flaw with wheel positions causing overhanging load to put extreme stress on outer two wheels. The design was done to save money instead of having telescoping rails as most dishwashers do. Explained this. They will not even send a part. Many other Whirlpool dishwashers use these parts. Probable class action suit material.

We purchased our oven in February 2012. In April 2013, we began smelling gas. I called the gas company. They came within thirty minutes and determined the gas was coming from within the oven by using a gas detecting probe. The gas was turned off by the gas company. I contacted an appliance company who came out for $95.00 and used some type of spray looking device to check for leakage or bubbles to tell us we had no problem. Our warranty was only good for the one year. The appliance company ripped us off and Whirlpool was a bad deal. After reading of all the complaints of Whirlpool, I will not buy Whirlpool ever again. I will admit that the stove worked fine for the year. I was hoping for a longer life of this stove. Now, Im afraid to use it.

I have the top load Whirlpool. Its very roomy for my covers, rugs & towels. It has a setting for me to just clean my washer or if I need to just rinse it. It has a cycle just for that. Or if I need a quick wash or a just cold water wash it has those cycle. When my cycles are done it makes a cute jingle sound to let me know its done.

I have a refrigerator model wrs325fdam. Its not a year old and I cant believe the runaround that I am getting from Whirlpool customer service. Come one day everything in freezer melting. Call a repair person. He come out, diagnose the problems, orders $825 worth of parts for a $899 refrigerator, puts the parts in. On the temperature in the freezer reads 80 degrees. No its order $200 more parts for this scrap metal pile. At what point do the people give a damn at the consumer, its not like anybody has common sense. Im going on two weeks without a ten-month-old refrigerator and four days waiting for them to figure this out. Would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone who cares about fair treatment.

I purchased Whirlpool gas range. After approximately 1 year, it has repeated problems with oven failing to maintain temperature. The unit would remain on, with the bake on still showing. But the temperature would decrease to the point of not cooking the food. If you turned the oven off and then back on, it would preheat again and resume baking, only to kick back off again later (again, with the bake still on).

I bought my Whirlpool over the range microwave WMH32L19AS November 28, 2015. We started having problems with it, working intermittently one year later. I called Whirlpool in January 2017 and they told me it was out of warranty and it would cost $150.00 for a repair person to just look at it. I decided to just keep using the microwave because I only paid $232.00 for it and I figured after parts and labor if would probably cost over $200.00 to fix it. I called Whirlpool back in June because the microwave wouldnt shut off and even kept running when you opened the door. Whirlpool sent out a repair person at no cost to fix it. But the repair person told me Whirlpool only paid for him to diagnose the problem. I had to pay for the repair. After working on the microwave and replacing sensors and fuses he determined the microwave irreparable. I called Whirlpool back and they just told me that my microwave is 1 1/2 years old and they were not responsible after 1 year and I should have bought the extended warranty. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again.

I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine (model: AW01D8810 S silver color) and a Whirlpool refrigerator (model: WBM329 TI) together from United Arab Emirates for Dhs 1999/- & Dhs 1199 /- respectively on 28 Jan. 2011. I sent this machine to my hometown (India) in the same packing and I used the washing machine only for three months and found a complaint. I informed this to service center in Trivandrum, Kerala. Their team came to my home and told me that warranty cannot be given as I purchased machine overseas. They added that the PCB for the machine is having complaint and they dont have stock in India. Also, the machine is no longer available in the factory. The Whirlpool company completely stopped manufacturing the abovementioned model. Again, I came to UAE and contacted GEC group of companies for the PCB part. I got a quotation for PCB Dhs 425/- but the items is ex-stock with them. The machine cost only Dhs 1999/- and if I spend Dh425/- only for PCB, and the machine is with me for the parts since one and half years. I dont know what to do. If I spend another Dhs 600 + this PCB cost then Id rather go for another new branded washing machine. The model of machine is AWO1D8810S and serial no. is 12 nc 859247463000 003. Please advise what to do or if I can find the PCB in Kerala. What will be the cost? I am ready to pay the money for PCB but not for the above rates. Please advise, sir.

Purchased this washer 7 months ago. We are a family of 5 with A LOT OF LAUNDRY!!! I adequately researched a machine that could do large loads of laundry, WELL. I read at least 100 reviews and went forth. (Note to self that anyone giving this machine a decent rating, is a DIRTY, SMELLY, FILTHY LINEN WEARING FOOL who doesnt take much pride in their clothing cleanliness.) I proceeded onward and after paying A LOT OF MONEY for this 4.8 Whirlpool Cabrio Washer, I found out within the first two days of owning it, that IT IS GARBAGE! Regardless of the 4.8 drum size, you can only fill it less than 1/4 of the way with clothes, to even hope they will be touched by water. My clothes come out DETERGENT STAINED & DRY! Insanity... A washer that doesnt wet the clothes!!! We have had 4 repairmen come out within this time, because I am fed up! I have been physically shown and told now, by all 4 guys, that the washer will not fill more than 9 inches with water. They advised me to fill Home Depot buckets and throw them into the drum. THIS IS WHAT I DO, TO SATISFY THAT I AM WETTING MY LAUNDRY - PURE CRAZINESS! The repairmen told me to set all loads to bulky sheets + extra rinse + highest soil. This is a 1 hour, 26 minute initial setting. Note that my adding water messes up the computer readings and it will reset throughout the washing cycle multiple times. Even with all of this... the machine still doesnt wet the clothes!! The top and center of the load is BONE DRY! This machine will not wash sheets, blankets or comforters, either. Dont waste your time trying!!! Dont be fooled by the drum size. Your great grandmothers 1930s 1.6 cu ft washer washed more clothes in any given load. #1 My water bill is through the roof. #2 The washer constantly resets and runs on any single load for over 2.5 hours AND #3 MY LAUNDRY PILES HIGHER AND HIGHER, as you cannot put more than a smattering of clothes in the machine, at any given time! GARBAGE, GARBAGE and MORE GARBAGE!!! I would be better served to find a stream and a flat rock and start doing my laundry colonial day style! I am done... Finally had enough of this insanity! RETURNED THE MACHINE THIS MORNING!!!

We spent a lot of time researching to make sure we were making the right choice, found the one that was right for us. When it got delivered there was a problem though, the plastic scratch protector film they put on the doors for delivery left an adhesive residue that looked like dull spots all over our new shiny black doors. I immediately opened up the owners manual to see how they recommend removing this blotchy sticky residue, assuming we werent the first ones to ever come across this problem, unfortunately they only provide generic cleaning tips. So I went to their website and found what I was looking for. I tried all of the cleaning methods they provide, none of them even came close to working. So I grabbed some adhesive remover and tried that, it worked great to remove the residue however my microfiber cloth (which they recommend explicitly) started leaving scratches all over the finish.I called the customer service to see about getting a new door delivered, thinking this wont be more than a 5 minute phone call since I had followed all of their steps they provide both in the owners manual and on their website. Heres where I find out that their policy DOES NOT cover scratches/cosmetic damage, period. I tried reasoning with them, I had them read their own recommended cleaning procedures, and we both concluded that I had followed their procedures to the T! You might think that if the all of the typical procedures didnt resolve the issue, that would be the point where the customer service reps would have the ability to make a decision that satisfy the customer, you would be wrong! They kept telling me over and over that their policy doesnt cover cosmetic, therefore there was nothing they could do. It was delivered with a defect of sorts, how is the customer responsible for that? The only way I can see it having worked out in my favor is if I had never tried to clean it myself and immediately called customer service, I still fear they would have given me the same line of cosmetic damages are not covered even if I would have tried each procedure with them walking me thru it over the phone. Lesson learned, I will never purchase another Whirlpool product!

This is the only time in my life when I have seen a Microwave behave so badly (and one that is relatively expensive). The microwave is defective out of the box. Seems like there is a comWhirlpool MWA269 (4You)mon trend with Whirlpool products and cheap Chinese boards. The microwave never stops working once the timer runs out. It will just keep going. Model is Whirlpool MWA269 (4You).

Does the CEO know you do not stand behind your products? My washer is not even a year old and cost about $400.00. And you have stuck about $1800.00 into repairs instead of replacing a lemon washer! The washer had problems the 2nd month I owned it and you stuck a new clutch in out. Now just about everything replaced, it still does not work so I will order more parts. This is ridiculous. I would love to hear back from your CEO and would like to be reimbursed for 5 days of pay to take off and wait for repair men, laundry mat fees, etc!

Purchased a new Whirlpool washer and dryer at HH Gregg about 4 months ago. We complained to HH Gregg that the low water washer wasnt working correctly. It will only get about an inch of water in it causing buttons to be torn off... just beating up wet clothes. HH Gregg told us to try a few things. When we went back to HH Gregg with the same complaints they told us it was too late and call Whirlpool. Serviceman came out and said everything was fine with the machine, we just need to load more clothes! We are only 2 people, one of us wear a uniform and needs washed when we may not have a full load. Called Whirlpool to complain again and they said there wasnt anything they would do except send out another service person for a second opinion, which just means taking more time off of work. HH Gregg talked us in to this type of low level washer. We are still making payments on it!!!!

My side-by-side lasted 2 years 3 months. It stopped cooling. Lost all my food. Inconvenienced by waiting for repair service. Had to take a vacation day from work. This refrigerator replaced a 13 yr old GE and the one in my garage is 25+ years old and still going strong. No help from Whirlpool or Lowes. I will never own a Whirlpool anything ever again.

On 12-22-13 we purchased a new Whirlpool Washer- Model=Top Loading-WTW4800BQ. We also purchased Lowes extended warranty. Washer was delivered on 12-24-13 around 1:00pm. Connected washer. Washer filled with water. System started but would not wash. 10 minutes later it rinsed and drained but would not go thru wash cycle. We clicked the cancel button for 3-seconds to restart. Same problem. Called Lowes - Lady name Kelly continued to tell us we did something wrong. She would not listen and continued to say its Christmas EVE. Finally the workers came out to check it out around 4:00. Confirmed washer is defective and new washer will be delivered on 12-26-13. Confused as to the label on the machine says made with pride in America. Our 20yr. old Cabrio only lasted two years and went up. Never buy another Whirlpool product!

I purchased my whirlpool washer on 01/24/2011 and I purchased a 5 yr extended warranty at the time of purchase. My washer broke down. I called the whirlpool co. After 5 mins getting through the phone prompts and another 30 mins on hold I finally spoke with a rep name Ashley who state that there was no account or record of my warranty. She connected me to another department where I spoke with Eva. I was advised that since the company that sold me the warranty was out of business whirlpool would set up an account for me if I faxed the information documenting my original purchase. I faxed the information, waited three days without a response. I called today went through the phone prompts and could not reach the reps I spoke with before. The reps today were not helpful and refused to even try to get me to the reps I spoke with before. I was advised that the previous reps provided inaccurate information.If an appliance comes with a one year warranty and a consumer purchases a 5 yr extended warranty should it be added to the 1 yr or is the first year included in the 5yrs? Wouldnt it only be a 4 yr extended warranty if that were the case? I am very disappointed in the lack of quality of my washer and misrepresentation that was communicated by whirlpool reps. At the very least they should answer the phone promptly and honor the commitment to repair products. This is the case number (**) I was provided the first time I called, but it is not recognized by the reps I spoke with the 2nd time. I was provided 866.368.6478 as a contact# and a fax#. I faxed my receipts to that number as instructed.

IM OLD AND DISABLED WOMAN. Bought a brand new $800 Whirlpool top loader washer and it wont work after not even a month. Called whirlpool and had the worst customer service from Tammy. I have to wait to compose myself to call back cause the washer is junk... F9E1 SENSOR. IM NOT A MAN! Worst customer service. Thought my washer would last longer. Its been 1 hour 45 minutes. Wont turn off. I CANT unplug TAMMY! IF I COULD I WOULD!

After 2 years it stopped draining. We have to physically hit cancel to get it to drain. Also, I have had to make my own tool to take bottom spin bar off to get to and unjam grinder and we pre-wash all dishes.

I have always used Whirlpool products and have grown up with them. From washing machines to dishwashers. Not only is it made in the USA but its reliable. The only problem is space and it can do with more freezer space. Other than that its a great refrigerator.

I had a 14-year-old 40-gallon tank that was working great but I decided it was time to get it replaced. I picked out a Whirlpool 400-gallon tank stated to be good for a family of 3 to 4 people. Immediately after installation, I got complaints from family members that there was no enough hot water for morning showers. I turned up the thermostat to the maximum 140 degrees, but there was still wasnt enough hot water. The Whirlpool rep on the phone stated that 3 people cant take back-to-back showers. The unit wasnt designed for this. I told him the unit is advertised for a family of 3 to 4 and I have only 3. I asked where on the advertisement does it state 3 people cant take back-to-back showers? His response was, Where does it state you can? I asked his name and he would not give it to me. If 3 people cant take showers on a unit stated to be for a family of 3 to 4, something is wrong. Maybe it should be advertised as suitable for a family of 1. I will not buy a Whirlpool product again and I advise others to take my advice, go elsewhere.

Whirlpool wdf530plym4 - Bought this dishwasher 5/13. Sat for 3 months in the box while my kitchen was being built. 7/14 pump motor went out, called Whirlpool, they set me up with an appliance repair company, and I ended up paying $90. The technician was being nice, charging me less than he needed to since he said it was an easy fix. 1/26/2015 pump motor went out again. Called Whirlpool again. Lady on phone was very snooty with me, telling me it was out of warranty. Told them I was very dissatisfied, my dishwasher has broken 2x in 18 months and all she said was, I should have bought the extended warranty. Dishwasher is not even 2 years old and already needs to be fixed 2x. The most expensive part on the machine I may add. Going my average, I can keep dumping $130 every 9 months to have a working dishwasher by Whirlpool. I would understand if the thing broke after 2 or 3 years. I only run the thing 2 or 3x a week at the most.

This piece of junk just broke down not even one year after the purchase. Every singe Whirlpool washing machine has broken one way or another. This one will set the wash time for 57 minutes, and exactly 24 minutes left in the cycler, you hear this big crash and then everything stops. Another dumb thing about this piece of crap is that when the problem happens, the POS keeps the lid locked so that you cant tell what the problem is. What morons would put a lock on the lid? Its not like someones going to take a jacuzzi bath!Restarted the POS again, and exactly 24 minutes left on the wash cycle, there was another crash. Both times, exactly 24 minutes. NEVER BUY FROM WHIRLPOOL!

Last year, our clothes started coming out too wrinkled. And until recently, its making a loud noise like an airplane. I called Whirlpool, and the only help they can give me is finding a company that would do service and would charge a lot.

Does clean well but I notice that even on heat drying there is still water on the inside of the door when I open it. I have loaded it up and even the glass baking pans came out sparkling. I would recommend this middle of the road priced dishwasher.

Ive read the reviews on this appliance. First of all the all of the washing machine being manufactured are designed to save energy and water. The water is loaded in the machine based on the WEIGHT of the clothes. the washing machines no longer have the features to (small, medium, large load) so the consumer can fill the machine. Having said that, most sales representatives will tell you appliances manufactured today are no longer designed to last 15-20 years, although they are way more expensive than the workhorses made in the past.I got rid of my fancy Samsung washing machine because it broke down at least 4 times within the first year of purchase and decided to go with the whirlpool because Ive had a workhorse in the past that was worked excellent. I love the fact the washers no longer have the agitator in the middle which allow me to wash my king sized bedding without the machine becoming unbalanced or making a lot of noise. So far the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer is working very well. Id rather give the Whirlpool a chance any day over the new johnny come latelys, which are more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes but are failing miserably in performance. I also love my Cabrio 8.8 dryer. They both work better than the Samsung models I got rid of.

For the last 5 years, 3 Whirlpool dishwashers. For these years been tracking to see how long they will work, but it seem like they are not build to satisfy the customer. Many telephone calls to service, but they will use the same lines, Nothing we can do... your extended warranty expired. From now on will look for a different brand.

I have a Whirlpool Gold convection self clean oven. I have now purchased the fourth fuse in the past four years, which is the last time. I will never buy Whirlpool products again. The only fix is to order fuse before cleaning oven.

In June 2003, I purchased a Whirlpool Gold Conquest Side-by-Side satina finish refrigerator (Model Number: GAS6SHAXLL03; Serial Number: SP1452552). The ice-maker has always had freezing up issues which I never complained to the company about. It has made weird noises (nothing major) but was already out of warranty. I paid $1,600-1,700 for it. I did not have the money to pay for repairs and I am sure that the repairman would have never found the problem. Two days ago, there was an electrical smell in the house. After an hour or two, it started getting stronger and stronger so my husband looked at the fridge. There was smoke pouring at the back of it so he pulled it away from the wall and we unplugged it. Surprisingly, the plug was not hot. Had I not been home, it could have caught fire, burned the house down and killed my dog! I am furious about this. When I called, Whirlpool says, That model is not under a recall. Would you like me to transfer you to service for repair? Really? Those big corporations dont care! There needs to be a recall on this because I have seen this same problem many times on blogs and forums. Well, guess what, I used to be a Whirlpool fan, not anymore! Now, I went and purchased a new refrigerator, and the brand name is Samsung! I recently bought a Samsung front loading washer and dryer and they are great. It looks like the Whirlpool dishwasher in my kitchen will be next! I bet Samsung makes a nice dishwasher.
