This washer is less than a year old. From the start it was horrible. I was told to call a repairman who came and charged me $200 and still the thing doesnt work. I have never hated an inanimate object like I hate this machine. Oh, and the dishwasher also made by Whirlpool and also new, leaks! I will never ever ever buy anything made by this company. It should be a crime punishable by imprisonment to sell such garbage. But they keep offering me service contracts for $395 to come take a look. Thieves.

This thing absolutely is total junk. It doesnt clean at all. I have to wash my sons sweaty uniform 3 times because the first two wash didnt clean it. A tub and washboard cleans better than this unit. A 600+ washer should clean the basic stuff. I remove clothes after it was finished and some of the clothes have dry spots where the water couldnt make it to. What kind of washer leaves clothes dry?I wish I came across this site when I was at the store. I did a search and the manufacture website and retail gave it positive reviews. I pretty sure the Whirlpool is paying people to write positive reviews. Technicians have come and gone telling me that there isnt anything wrong with it. That their diagnostic isnt detecting anything. Well when I call them again I will have the tech wait while I wash my sons sweaty uniform and then they can smell it after it goes through the wash. Im going call out a service tech until it works as advertise or they replace it. If I have to call them out once a week. That is what I will do.

We bought a Whirlpool 2 years ago. It is an upgrade for us. Has features of ice, light, temp, water fill. Other options, too many to list. Upper 2 door, pull out 3 drawer with freezer. Lots room. Very convenient. Would fit a family’s needs. Great for a handicapped person.

I purchased a refrigerator 7 yrs ago. I paid over $1800 on sale for it. Now it needs repairs, it already cost me $89 just to have the tech look at it and he said it will cost $300 to $500 to fix it on top of the service call and now he informs me that it will take at the very least until February or March before he gets the part. I contacted Whirlpool and they told me there is nothing they can do, just to work the tech and I said so Im supposed to go without a fridge for 3 months and was told sorry for the inconvenience. So Im thinking they sell me their product, take my money, then brush me off when I ask for help. That is piss poor way to do business.

Purchased the refrigerator in May 2018 from Lowes. August of 2019 the compressor stopped working and I lost all of my food. Repairman came out and stated that the compressor was bad on a brand new refrigerator. I am now waiting for a new compressor to arrive.

Not real expensive but cleans almost perfect. Were happy. MUCH better than the beautiful and pricy Samsung. We returned it for this. Paid less than Samsung but always purchase extra warranty. So far so good. Pretty quiet. Nothing to complain about except be very careful how its loaded to get the best cleaning. Heat dries dishes really good. Looks great but not better than others.

Whirlpool Model WDT920SADM0 Dishwasher. We built a new modular home so Abraham Builders ordered all my kitchen appliances in 2014. We did not move in and start using the appliances until June, 2016. Here is what happened during the first 6 months: 1) Would not dissolve dry soap or packets as there were still particles and plastic in the dispenser. 2) Dishes were not getting clean and were spotty. 3) Would not dry dishes, ever!!! 4) Parts would keep popping off as we would find them on the bottom or hanging down. 5) Final straw was this morning around 4 a.m. (12/4/16)... woke up to the smell of wire burning in the house and discovered it was coming from the dishwasher that we had put on delay wash that night and when we opened the door, smoke came out from inside!!Since it was past purchase warranty date, we had no warranty and the builder would not return any of my calls on any problems and the manufacturer of my house closed the factory. Needless to say, we now have to spend another $900+ for another dishwasher! Not happy at all about this Whirlpool model and would not recommend it.

I bought a Whirlpool Duet Frontload washing machine and now two and half years after buying it, it sounds like the tub is about to spin out of the machine. The repair man said it would cost over $750 to install a new tub and bearings in it. I thought the product would have lasted longer than two and a half years. I will never buy another Whirlpool product!

1st item - ice pooling at bottom of freezer, now repaired at a cost of $100. 2nd item - 1 day later fridge/freezer keeps shutting off and on irregularly. Cant contact anyone one from Whirlpool on a weekend and Trail Appliances doesnt have anyone available to come and look at it and if they did it would cost us another $100+ with no guarantee and we were told by Trail the Whirlpool will not touch it if someone else does. From what I have read seems we now a victim of Whirlpool. P.s. for those who dont know yet Whirlpool not only now owns Bastemp, they also are the makers of Kenmore and those fridges have experience the same ice issues.

We have purchased 4 refrigerators in the past 20 years. The first three were not Whirlpool and were a constant issue for us. Once we purchased the Whirlpool, we no longer had issues. We have the side by side with a freezer at the bottom. This model has performed exceptionally well for us and hasnt presented any issues for us. I would highly recommend it to family and friends, thus the rating of a five.

The fridge had been leaking just a little for a while until the leak picked up and left a puddle. Turns out this plastic tube connector cracked. Seems a very poorly designed fit that caused the bend in the plastic to rupture. Now the whole tube and what I think is the water inlet valve will need to be replaced.

I purchased a 29 cu ft Whirlpool French Door refrigerator (WRF990SLAM) Feb, of 2013 from Lowes and have had nothing but problems since I purchased it. First, I noticed that the fridge sounded louder than normal. Then a few months later, ice started building up in back of the fridge. Then the most craziest thing ever started happening, the water dispenser started randomly shooting out water. Lastly, the ice maker takes forever to make ice. Still to this day, Whirlpool has yet to fix the problem. Funny that the technician said that theyve received a lot of complaints regarding the same issue for this model...so, I say you should be able to fix it then or replace my fridge. I have a 2yr extended warranty which states if they cannot fix my fridge after 3 attempts then they have to replace it. They refuse to honor that. Whirlpool and Lowes are full of crap!!! Whirlpool doesnt care at all that their products are crappy and their service is bad. They sent me a survey asking how do I like my product and I informed them of my issues and they sent me a response to purchase an extended warranty. Now, if they really reviewed the surveys, they would see that I have an extended warranty for 2yrs but regardless of that what about the issues Im having with my fridge? Do you not see my comments? If you didnt care you shouldnt even bother asking. Lowes pretended to care and made me believe they were going to replace my fridge but then sided with Whirlpool and said that they have to make 3 unsuccessful attempts to fix the fridge but each attempt has to be 30 days apart. Thats a bunch of crap because its been 6 months and my fridge still has not been fixed or replaced!! I have a Samsung side by side that I bought a year before Whirlpool and never had a problem with it. I bought it from Home Depot also, along with a stove microwave and dishwasher. I will be sticking with Samsung and Home Depot from now on!

Purchased an expensive, Cabriolet Washer in 2014 to replace a well used Kenmore washer. Sucked into the, Whirlpool is a good brand and spent more than I would have. Lid lock fault started about 3 months ago, googled fix and found this to be a very common problem with this brand. Have been able to override and reset it but it is very frustrating to deal with. Called in a repair person this morning who, for $140 told us we had a faulty lid lock and for $360 he would replace it. I contacted Whirlpool and asked if they were aware of this very common complaint (just google it) and they were not but offered to make a record of mine. Please do not buy Whirlpool. Very disappointed with their product and their response.

When I purchased my Cabrio washer 31/2 years ago I didnt bother to check reviews since Whirlpool was suppose to be the best of the best. An expensive lesson! A washer that spits out codes?!?! Whos got time for this? We paid 899.00 plus taxes for it, now we paid a repairman 99.00 to tell us its not worth fixing. He said the bearings were completely shot. As he was leaving he said his next service call was for the same type of washer! Whatever happened to appliances that last! Going green is all the rage but yet everything from cars to appliances is built to last only a short while. Judging by these reviews I cant believe Whirlpool didnt recall their garbage!

Cabrio fabric washer and dryer sucks. I gave almost $500 for a piece of **. Doesnt get the clothes clean. Hell most of them dont even get wet. Its junk. Wouldnt have another one. Lowes junk and the dryer aint know better. Its always flashing check lint even when its clean and you have to ** with it just to get it to start.

My dog is afraid to be anywhere near my Whirlpool side by side fridge. It makes horrible noises every 15 minutes to half an hour. I have to coax her to even let me escort her past. It has been snap crackling pop for several weeks and is getting louder with thumps and clangs. It does sound like the devil inside. Appears to be coming from the freezer side.I do not have the ice maker hooked up . It is plumbed for an ice maker but the servicemen who delivered it advised me they didnt do that . I didnt have the money to hire a plumber. The fridge was a PG& Energy Partners project in which those of certain age and income levels were presented new energy savers in exchange for old ones.Wish Id have kept the old one, especially after reading comments here. Too many times my clothing comes out dirtier than what it was going in... Sometimes my clothes come out dry in spots, never washed, lint and white soap spots on clothing as if never washed after a whole cycle. Huge waste of money and time. Cant trust any positive reviews about Whirlpool, they have to be rigged!!! I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again.

I purchased a Whirlpool washer in March 2007. That washer is now leaking from the bottom. I called Whirlpool. I was told that the machine only had a one-year warranty, so repairs would be at my expense. The CSR then offered to schedule a service call for me at $139, which I refused. A few weeks later, I received in the mail an offer for an extended warranty on my Whirlpool washer.

This is our 2nd circuit board failure in the 4-5 yrs, since we purchased this very expensive range/oven. The first time was shortly after the warranty ran out and Whirlpool would not even send us the part for free. They said there was nothing they could do. So this time we are not even contacting them and are just having our repairman order another new one. For a $1600 range to have to put more than $400 back in so far, I would never buy a Whirlpool again. I have been very careful not to use any cleaners on the circuit board as I was told by our repairman that that shorts them out. First the convect bake button wouldnt work, nor the convect roast, now the bake button, so the only buttons that work are broil and warm. Even the timer is shot. What a piece of junk (electronically). Beware buyers!

I had a Whirlpool washer for three years that I bought at Sears and it started making a noise. I called Sears repair and they said it was the bearings. Would cost 600.00 dollars. The machine is still running making a noise are there more in a machine. I will never buy a Whirlpool product. I just lost my husband and I cannot find the bill but I am calling Sears tomorrow.

I bought a HD Whirlpool in April 2011 and I hate the machine. It does not use enough water to wash clothes. I open the lid every wash and cannot believe Whirlpool can label this as a washing machine; it spits a little water now and then. I am demanding Lowes and Whirlpool to replace the washer. I have used two Kenmore washer for 45 years and I never had any problems. I use hot water to kill germs -- well there is not enough water to drown a fly. How can these manufacturers sell such product and then give the consumer such a hard time when they ask for help. Dark clothes have white residue stuff all over them. I have to hand-wash a lot of my clothes. I have never in 45 years had to do this. I am so mad that Whirlpool is taking everyone for suckers. Now I am sure that there are a lot of people who just never take the time to complain; too much trouble and just go buy another brand of machine. We consumers need to demand that manufacturers sell quality products.

I bought my Whirlpool Duet set with pedestal in February 2008. I just had a tech here to figure out why my machine is so loud during agitation and that I cant hear anything else. He said its the drum hitting something. I never overload my machine - just normal use for 4 years. It costs more to repair the machine than to buy a new one. Now, after seeing this information, Im not the only one who has this problem with my Whirlpool washer. I am disappointed that there isnt anything else the Whirlpool company tech can do for me - just a receipt that shows the parts alone cost $600.00. Now, I have to pay about $50.00 just to get rid of what from the outside looks like a perfectly good machine.

This Maytag dishwasher is awful. The parent company is Whirlpool and their customer service is as bad as their products. I bought this dishwasher and less than a week later the pump isnt working and stagnant water is sitting in the machine. It took Whirlpool 3 weeks to replace the machine and they sent over another defective machine. This time it lasted less than 2 days. The Whirlpool customer reps are rude and vindictive and antagonize the customer with their lack of service. Called corporate office with no help from Cust. Service and was told to leave a message with the operator and await a callback. With this fiasco I wouldnt buy another Whirlpool or Maytag product again. BTW. Im still awaiting my callback from the corporate office... Im not holding my breath. I called the company that I bought the dishwasher from to see if they can help me unload this machine and get a different brand...

I purchased a Cabrio top-loading high efficiency low water washer thinking I was doing something for the environment by saving on water and electricity. After about a month, I noticed that my clothes especially those with stretchable fabric were getting larger. My husband kept telling me I was imagining it. Then the clothes would get all tangled especially the pants with ties on the waistband. At the end of the cycle, the clothes are stuck on the sides of the washer and I have to pull them apart. Even after drying, I have to iron everything even my pillowcases which look like they have shrunk they are so wrinkled. I recently bought some 100% cotton outfits and they are even more wrinkled and are starting to lose their shape. I am now noticing that the stains on the clothing are not coming out even when I use a spot remover and put them through a second time.Now I started to notice an odor coming from the machine and my towels and wash clothes have a sour smell. I paid $600 for this machine and after reading the reviews, I just want to replace it. I am now waiting for it to break down. My husband kept insisting I must be doing something wrong. When it goes into the spin cycle, it bounces all around and I have to push it back in place when it is done. I do not think the clothes are getting rinsed enough so now I put them through a second rinse and always put it on low spin. It doesnt see to matter, it sounds like a rocket ready to take off. Is it even worth it to go back to Lowes where I buy all my appliances?

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio for $1,100 because it was the largest capacity washer in our price range at the time. It has had very little use as I typically take my clothes to the laundry mat since it is anything but large capacity. I have always had problems with the buttons malfunctioning but I went to empty a load and the water was still standing in it - I got code ld and realized that the entire tub had broke off and dropped into the bottom of the machine. Where is the class-action law suit? I want to be the first name on it. I dont have $1,100 to waste on junk. Whirlpool should be ashamed.

After 48 years of marriage, I had never had a new, matching washer/dryer set. I had had several new washers, but only used dryers. These all were very good units and served me well for years. So I was excited to buy a new, matching set. I have never been soooo dissatisfied with anything in my life. As I have read from other reviews, the washer uses very little water, sometimes hardly enough to get the load of clothes wet, very little soap, and in my opinion, does hardly any agitating. I dont feel my clothes have ever appeared clean. The only ones that look clean were the ones that started out looking clean when I put them in. I know this is all an ecology thing, water saving, government guidelines, etc., but please give me my old washer back. It did enough agitation to get clothes clean. And the dryer usually will not get the jeans dry on the first attempt. I have tried various settings, and they just dont get dry. In short, I HATE THIS WASHER/DRYER SET. I have heard others talk about the same thing. No one likes them, but we are stuck with them. Would like to have the government step in and see how dissatisfied everyone is with them and force Whirlpool to give us our money back, trash these units, and buy something that actually works. PLEASE, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR WASHERS AND DRYERS, DONT BUY THESE. I believe they are called Cabrio.

Our Whirlpool is 8 years old and - knock on wood - it has been very dependable. It has enough settings to take care of the range of our dirty clothes. It is a front loader and I like that type - it gets the clothes clean in cold water.

We purchased the largest Whirlpool Cabrio Washer (over $1100 value) 3.5 years ago, and had nothing but trouble out of it. The drum has had to be replaced twice, the motor once, and then supposedly a bolt kept coming off on the drum as well, that had to be tightened twice. Now, we dont know what is wrong with it - we suspect suspension imbalance or something, because this extra large capacity washer is constantly unbalanced even with 6 articles of fabric in it now, and I dont even think about putting even what would be considered a medium-large load in it, because it flat up will not wash. You can put a level on it, and it shows leveled, but it still wont operate worth anything. My wife is so put out by it at this point that she has even talked about getting an old ringer washer (seriously). Sears keeps coming out here because we had purchased the extended warranty and truly if they had simply replaced the washer after the 2nd trip to the house, they would have more than paid for the replacement washer even. Instead, they keep coming, looking at it, then having to order parts, and then come back a couple weeks later to put the shipped parts (which sit around our house), back in to repair it each time. All the while, we go without a washer or barely can wash any clothes. We have even taken clothes to the laundromat during one of the repair instances, because we cant just have mounds of clothes piled up for their month-long service. It is ridiculous how little it seems that Sears and Whirlpool care about their customers. I have gone to Whirlpool and Sears Home Services sites and complained at both. I have called both of their 800 lines in the past and again, this yielded nothing to truly depict either company cares. It just goes to prove that customer satisfaction is far less valuable to either of these companies than the bottom dollar profits in our opinion. I dont know where else to post our concerns/frustrations, so anyone can see how put out these two companies have caused us and dont care, but if anyone knows of anywhere else I can post blogged concerns, please let me know.I have complained previously about a dishwasher that we had purchased that we had numerous issues with. Those complaints fell on deaf ears to Whirlpool and really Sears as well. I dont think all the washers are duds, but this one has been nothing but trouble, and Sears wont just replace it, Whirlpool dont care. I have been given the runaround that it is because there arent three (3) service calls in a 12-month period for the exact same issue. Well, I am sorry that it doesnt appear to be just one thing! Purchase whirlpool washer model W2W4800xQ2 in Sept. 2012. Had problem with lid lock after warranty. Now lid lock does not work, takes 1/2 hour to start wash and does no spin. Called whirlpool and they will do nothing. Repair will be $200. I opt to just purchase new machine. This machine is one piece of garbage.

We have had our catalytic oven explode into millions of hot pieces again for the 3rd time. Contacting them they sold me an extended warranty which Im trying to cancel and have been trying since 30th Mar to contact on ALL of their lines. It is permanently on hold or engaged. Model no. WTW4950XW is a piece of pure junk. Bought this machine 2yrs, 4 months ago. I just replaced it and to be sure not with another Whirlpool. The machine went out. Just quit. Nothing on control panel (computer). Didnt call for service tech as this machine has been crap since I bought it. Tried to return it but couldnt after I first used it. It would only give hot water on 2 cycles and that was on bulk or delicate. The regular cycle would only give warm but actually it was cold. Not enough water for 6 pieces of small clothes on regular. More water on delicate. Didnt wash very well. Clothes were not really as clean as they should have been. I used to only buy Whirlpool appliances but have now switched. They are bilking the consumer with subpar machines.

Dishwasher is 15 years old and still going strong. Minor leak which disappeared when I cleaned the gasket. Good internal arrangement for fitting dishes & silverware. One of the best appliances I ever got!

I just bought a Whirlpool 50-gallon water heater from Lowes because my old one took a turn for the worse. I brought it home, installed it just as the directions said, and immediately got an FVS fault detected code as soon as I plugged it in and tried to ignite it. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with an appliance. And wouldnt you know it whirlpool service center is closed on weekends. What an absolute piece of trash. Im draining it and taking it back ASAP. Lowes and Whirlpool just lost my business for good.

Whirlpool fridge with serial # EL2427127 started on fire. Flame started on own but filled entire basement with electrical fire smoke. All terminals on compressor completely melted off. After researching online, I see Im not the first. Unbelievable.

We have had our Whirlpool oven for 3 years now. They make top of the line products and the oven cooks very well. I have cooked a lot of cakes and cupcakes in my Whirlpool oven. If I had to buy another oven it would be a Whirlpool.

I absolutely hate my Whirlpool refrigerator! The first day I had it, the cover to the deli drawer fell off and cracked because it wouldnt stay on. I called the company and they sent me a new one but it immediately fell off and broke also. It is just a terrible design. The plastic slots dont fit correctly and it just doesnt stay on.Then, a few months after owning the fridge, I notice rust spots on the bottom drawer. I called the company and a rep told me to buy dishwasher cleaner and a magic eraser and use that to scrub the rust off. She insisted that it must be near humidity. I explained that my GE stove and dishwasher, along with other stainless steel in my kitchen have never rusted. The Whirlpool company provided no help whatsoever and does not back up their warranty. I would never purchase another Whirlpool appliance after this experience. Now I am stuck with a fridge that has rust stains and a broken door.

I had problems with the door closure on day 3 of my French Door Refrigerator Model # WRF560SEY. The flap on the left door that seals them fails to fold back if I open the right door first. Which didnt seem like a big deal until I tried to close them and have to remember to close the left door first or itll bang against the right door and Im afraid itll break that piece off then the refrigerator is worthless. The manufacturer drop shipped a new piece, after several attempts of adjusting the closure, and it still does not work. I have written Whirlpool and am told they have a new door on order but it will take 6-8 weeks, that was in March. Now when I contact Whirlpool no one ever returns my calls or emails. I have had the refrigerator only for 15 months and I have fought with either the store or Whirlpool since the third day of owning it. No one cares as long as the appliance is paid for. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance.

Manufacturer refuses to acknowledge quality issues. This is not exclusive for the washer or dryer, IT IS BOTH! P.S. I owned & operated a Whirlpool Cabrio washer & dryer for 6+ years before up-sizing & loved them! I was grossly misled by the retailer to believe the new Cabrio washer & dryer were the same as the previous model of Cabrio. They are not. Their performance is subpar. Not what I would expect from top of the line. Washer does not spin out as dry as the previous model. It will not show error codes on display so I can deal with the issue at hand-it just shuts down. Dryer sensors do not work properly. It will not dry, or overdries to the point of shrinking clothing beyond use.This $2800 purchase is continuing to cost me money. I have never been more upset with a purchase than this. I have to babysit these machines. There is a bolt in the back wall of the dryer drum. Hence my destroyed brand new hand crocheted afghan. Oh and did I tell you that their licensed repair man told me that I should not be laundering bedding in my machines at home? Apparently there are no home use machines on the market that are able to wash bedding. Sheets. Pillowcases. All of it needs to go to a commercial laundromat. Ha! Makes a person question who we let in our home. If you would like a positive - its huge. But wont spin out a small load effectively.I have recommended and led to sale of dozens of the previous Cabrio model. I will no longer be standing behind this model or company after the poor customer service. Their answers are scripted. Its like speaking to a robot. No one is accountable anymore. I could understand if I did not know how HE machines worked or even the Cabrio model, but I loved my previous HE CABRIO FOR 6+ years!! Excuse me while I go vomit.

We purchased our Whirlpool Duet model WFW9150WW01 13 months ago. The warranty was up at the one year mark. We chose not to purchase the extended service plan. After all, a washer should last at least five years right? Wrong! The front seal has gone bad. It is an $85 part plus shipping, plus hours of my time. So, I purchased a product that is supposed to conserve water and instead I am having to purchase a petroleum-based product (the rubber seal), as it would seem, every year or so! These companies have us snowed with the whole conservation bull! CFLs, High Effeciency, Bio Fuels, etc., its all a hoax! And it is a hoax at our expense. Does anyone just produce a good product anymore? Oh yeah, I forgot... Japan does! Our economy continues to go to hell while other countries are coming online. Get your act together, guys, before we lose everything!

I have a 4.5year old Cabrio washer. Ive replaced the water pump 3 times due to a weak plastic part which keeps blowing out due to pressure. Now, the unit is leaking rusty, black fluid from the bottom. I purchased it at HH Gregg in Indianapolis, In. Svs tech called. They have never seen this on such a new unit. Parts and labor will equal $400.00. Calling whirlpool customer care did nothing. I offered to pay the labor of $100, If they would be willing to pay for parts. Talked to a supervisor who offered to sell me an extended warranty costing $300.00. I am a stock owner in Whirlpool, no joy, dissatisfied with faulty product. They are unwilling to make this situation right. The unit is poorly made. I think a $800 unit should last longer than 4-5 years. In 2006, Whirlpool stopped offering a 5 year normal warranty on their units. Supervisor would not let me talk to anyone else.

Whirlpool Duet - Front loading with additional base makes loading and unloading easy. We have had the washer and Dryer about one year now. They were replacements for Kenmore front loaders. We replaced a Kenmore front loading pair that served us faithfully for more than ten years. But when we purchased a new house we decided that it was necessary to upgrade to better units. The Whirlpool Duet pair has performed exceptionally well with one little caveat. Periodically we have to unplug the units to reset the computers when they dont function properly. Small problem, easily solved.

We bought a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator new. When the first one was delivered it had electronic problems. We sent that one back. The next one, same model, seemed to be alright for a few days then it developed electronic problems. My son discovered the problem was caused by a faulty door panel in the freezer. The panel would come loose and if you knocked it back in place the electronics would work until the panel came loose again. Whirlpool would do nothing about our complaint. Now the refrigerator section freezes things. We paid to have it fixed 2 months ago and now have the problem again. The repairman said he had brought up concerns in meetings about the same door problems and been blown off. Our food is freezing in the refrigerator again and Whirlpool has blown us off again. We will never buy Whirlpool again. I trusted Consumers Report when I bought the Whirlpool and that goes to show you that doesnt always work either.

So disappointed with my Whirlpool purchase. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product in my life. This is my second whirlpool oven to die in a short period of time. My most recent oven only made it two years. For there to be an internal wiring issue that is now costing me $500 to repair on top of waiting 30 days for them to be able to fix the oven. This is a terrible product. Unfortunately, I didnt realize the poor quality and poor reviews prior to purchasing from this company. PLEASE be advised.

Light bulb went out in the freezer. Come to find it is a led cluster with a circuit board only cost $30 to $100. Engineer should be fired. What is the reason to take simple bulb and custom bastardize into an expensive hybrid. Greed.

I bought a Whirlpool gold model #GB2F-1DXW507 / k27711376 when we remodeled our kitchen in October 2012. After a couple months I noticed water on my floor, then in the bottom of the freezer. I called Lowe’s. They sent out a repairman. He said it was a flaw in the design and put the redesigned part in. When they delivered the fridge they changed the door to a left hand open and it was never right. After 2 years the ice maker stopped working. I just started buying ice. Today 5 years and 5 months later they said it will cost me almost $500.00 to fix the electric board and the Ice maker. The fridge stopped working would not get cold. And the certified Whirlpool repairman said it was a very good looking fridge and he would fix it with a 90 day warranty on the genuine Whirlpool parts for almost $500.00. I said I wasnt a idiot. Why would I spend that kind of money for JUNK. After reading some reviews I think Whirlpool knows just what junk they are selling. I called and all they said was, “Thats too bad. We will take it under advisement.” I bought mine 1st then 1 year later my sister and sister-in-law bought theirs. 3 fridges with all the same leaking issues. I hope they dont end up with all the same problems.

Purchased a 40 gallon gas water heater from Lowes. Installation was a nightmare trying to get the 3/4 pipe nipple fittings to seal. Once getting the two nipples to seal using extra thick Teflon pipe wrap, found the tank was leaking also. The return with Lowes was painless. Got another Whirlpool to replace, but angry about having to do the job twice. Wish I viewed this site first. Never would have purchased Whirlpool.

Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator Control Panel Failure - This French door refrigerator with freezer on the bottom was purchased new in November 2008. This August, the refrigerator stopped cooling. I contacted a reputable local appliance company who diagnosed the motherboard was not functioning on the appliance. They ordered a new one from Whirlpool and replaced it. Forty-five days later, the replacement motherboard stopped functioning. When I contacted Whirlpool directly to inform them what was happening, they continually stated that the appliance company was not part of Whirlpools approved appliance technicians, and offered no assistance in guaranteeing the problem will not continue to happen. I am extremely disappointed with Whirlpools customer service and unwillingness to guarantee their products. A 3 year old refrigerator should not stop working.

Bought the above named model number Whirlpool dishwasher in Nov 2017 and it stopped cleaning 6 months later, dishes were instead of dry and NOW the motor is completely shot! Never again! This is ridiculous that the part cost more than the product! Worse that I need it repaired or a new one in less than 3 years!

Buyers beware! I have had the Cabrio top loader washing machine for less than 18 months and it is already giving me problems. During the wash cycle, it sounds as though the gears are grinding to the point it wakes my family up two floors up! The spin cycle is a joke. The washer sounds as though it is going to spin off into another room! When I called Whirlpool, they told me to shut the circuit breaker. That might reset the computer. No go which I figured as much. I have had washers that lasted 10 plus years with no problems. It is not worth your time or your money. Never again, Whirlpool!

I had water heater EE3Z50RD0550V installed on 11/3/11 and it started leaking July 29, 2013. Whirlpool gave me Return authorization # and said I have to return the water heater to Lowes (purchase place and original installer) to get a new one. Fortunately, Lowes said I only have to bring them the RA # and they will swap out the water heater. However, there is a $300 charge for installation. Whirlpool says they only cover this the 1st year, except when its a manufacturer defect. But they cant tell me how to prove its a manufacturer defect. Why else would a glass lined water heater start leaking only 21 months after installation?

Freezer froze up and water runs into refrigerator part. I am 80 years old and have never had any problems with any of my ref (except ice makers) before, but I have never owned a Whirlpool ref before. We have purchased Sears chest type deep freezers without any problems and have been very satisfied with freezers. This frig/freezer is a real bummer.

This Whirlpool Water heater was purchased through Lowes on March 29, 2011. This past weekend, water started leaking out of the thermostat/natural gas control located on the side of the tank. I called a plumber to take a look. He stated that a new thermostat/natural gas control was needed. Although the tank has a 12 year warranty, this item does not. Whirlpool did agree to replace the part but would charge me $30 to overnight the item which still would have taken 4 days because of a weekend. To install the item would have cost me almost $500.00.To purchase a new Rheem Water heater was $999. I chose the second choice as the first choice would have still left me with a subpar water heater obviously already out of warranty. The reason for my review is that I saw the number of complaints on the failure of this part. When I purchased this water heater, it was the better model due to the 12 year tank warranty. What use is the tank warranty when the other items dont last? There should be some type of reimbursement but Im not holding my breath. Please buy a contractor grade water heater and not the cheaper models.

I would like to share whirlpools lack of ownership for parts they knew were faulty that caused significant damage to my floor. Its absolutely horrendous that one would purchase the highest end dishwasher they offer (all highest end appliances in 3 homes so far) and the company is only willing to cover the replacement of the part. Its a horrible way to run a company. I hope that my review will warn prospective customers to stay away from a company who is only willing to take your cash at purchase (charging an arm and a leg no less) and not care about any repercussions after the fact. I hope they enjoy our 15k, because it will be the last penny they get from us.

I bought a Whirlpool/Fridge Freezer Model WRF560SMYM 01, less that two years ago. Two months ago it started making a terrible noise. Apparently the freezer was iced up and a mechanic defrosted it. It happened twice more and he left saying he could not fix it. Another arrived and took the model number and he disappeared. A third the same. Now I have an empty freezer, just an ice maker. It seems to not freeze up so quickly with the moisture control on. Over $2,000 down the drain unless somebody can fix it. Oh and the fridge gets very cold! Does anyone have any ideas apart from throwing it out and buying another? Never another Whirlpool!

Reading the many reviews of malfunctioning washers and other appliances, I wonder why organizations like Consumer Affairs and Consumer Reports do NOT help the many cheated customers form a class action lawsuit or boycott or some other means to effectively organize and force manufacturers to return the full cost of purchase, taxes, shipping, moving and repairs for 5 years for every product. The manufacturer have NO consequences for selling shoddy, malfunctioning but terribly expensive products. We are all being taken for fools by the corporations.I was stupidly brand loyal and bought a Whirlpool Duet front-load washer and dryer because we had to leave our perfectly good 28-yr-old Whirlpool washer when we sold our house. The first set of instruction is to pull the electric cord from a small hole in the back of the washer. No amount of pulling would budge the cord. Finally yanked with all my strength, heard a snapping sound and 12 of cord came out. Then no more pulling, yanking or tugging would produce another inch of cord. So I took off the top of the machine and found the cord tightly wedged in the fork of a plastic thing that looked like part of a stabilizer for the drum.A similar plastic thing on the other side was broken at the fork, the snapping sound I heard. Freed the cord with lots of effort, but it was still firmly stuck way down inside. Removed the back of the machine, found the cord stuck inside a circular thing with one tiny opening. Took lots of time and effort to free the cord from that, but it was still stuck. Finally managed to reach the plug, which was firmly anchored to the bottom of the frame with an orange lanyard. Cut the lanyard with a knife to finally free the cord. This had to be an act of sabotage by an assembly worker, as no way could the cord accidentally jam itself into 3 different places too small for the cord to slip in, and it certainly didnt tie itself to the bottom of the frame with a lanyard.The hour it took to free the cord was just the start of troubles with this machine. It did start and kind of tumbled clothes in an odd fashion, but when it went into spin cycle, it literally jumped all around the room, almost jumping out the door. The whole house shook and I feared the floor would collapse. That machine must weigh well over 100 lbs. even without water and clothes. Next load I tried delicate cycle which had a slow spin cycle.Same result, even worse. I had to wedge my body in the 10 space between washer and dryer and press down with all my 170 lbs. to keep the machine from doing serious damage to the dryer, walls and floor. I contacted seller, Lowes, and they said call Whirlpool. So I did, but no response. Before buying that machine, I read many horrible reviews of Whirlpool Duet machines, but I have only owned 2 washers since 1967, both Whirlpools, so I had strong but stupid brand loyalty.

My not yet 3yr old ($2100.00) Whirlpool refrigerator started having problems. I thought it was related to the ice maker. When the repairman came out, he said it had leaked the Freon, so I thought it should have been a simple fix. Boy was I wrong. It turns out it has a sealed system so no one can access this to fix it. It is now junk and I have to buy a new one. I will never purchase Whirlpool anything ever again and I will also tell anyone who will listen about my experience. My repairman said this happens all the time, and 7 or 8 yrs ago Whirlpool went from being one of the top models to being junk.

We purchased a Whirlpool Duet Front Loading Washer and Dryer. The control panel on the washer went out in March. We called for a repair. The repairman came, told us we needed to replace the control panel and he would order it. My American Express was charged $389.91 on March 26th. I called today, April 9, asking about where the part was and when my machine would be repaired. I was told the part would not be available until July 11, 2013. I cannot believe that a company would expect a customer to wait nearly four months for a part as well as charge them for the parts and labor four months ahead of the part. When I called, I was first told that there were 15 parts in stock, but then was told that there were not any available to me. I have cancelled the service but it will take them three weeks to credit my card back for the part.

I purchased a Whirlpool catnip washer from Brandsmart in August of 2010. It worked fairly well, but would sometimes need for clothes to be rearranged in order for the spin cycle to complete. In June of 2013, it started to not wring the clothes out completely. It then stopped working. I called a repairman and got an estimate of $550 dollars, but I paid $578 for it.I called Whirlpool and spoke to the supervisor of the consumer concern team. She offered me a fifty percent discount on the parts for the repair. I checked the web to see if anyone else had any problems with this product and found several. I suggest you do your homework before purchasing a Whirlpool washer. I was positive they would do more, since it’s such a prestigious company.

2016 Cabrio Washer - I had an 11 year old Maytag washer that finally gave up so rather than go through the repair I decided to upgrade to a new washer dryer and went with the Whirlpool Cabrio W/D pair. I am shocked at the washers inability to clean even the most basic of stains. I have to pre-treat clothes like never before, have tried every type of wash cycle offered and cant believe the amount of time it takes to clean clothes. Over one hour??? My Maytag may have agitated the heck out of a load but in less than 30 minutes everything was clean. Ive had to re-wash load after load of the most basic everyday stains. I was hoping the larger drum would allow me to cut my laundry time down but that is not the case, and find myself putting a few things in at a time so they get washed. Im stuck with this piece of crap and have only had it for one month... Cant wait for it to start breaking down and dealing with repairs as so many of these comments mention. I miss my Maytag!!!

Purchasing this refrigerator Model Number WRS571CIDMOO in September 2015 and now only being May 2017 the ice maker has stopped working. When I contacted Whirlpool USA they offered a warranty plan for $454.00 for one year when I purchased the refrigerator for $989.00. I told the representative, Why would I pay that much money for one year of service when I purchased the appliance for half of what the service fee? I now will no longer purchase anything from Whirlpool when other brands last much longer!

Very functional microwave which also comes in convection oven if needed. Stainless steel, finger print resistant, is very handy and easy to clean. Overall very happy with it so far. Much better than the earlier Samsung that we had.

I join the many who have posted about the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer cracked lid issue. Our Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7800XW2 glass-lid washer suffered the same (inevitable) fate – cracked plastic on the lid at the hinge stress points, after the washer was beyond warranty. Same story - runaround/no help from Whirlpool. Finally bit the bullet and shelled out the $200 for a new lid. HOWEVER, I didnt want to just replace it and have the same issue down the road. I removed the spring-loaded units that support the hinges, hoping to just remove the springs to release the pressure. I found that the springs are integral to holding all the components together in this unit. These are extremely heavy-duty extension springs, so I took them to my hardware store (TrueValue) and found springs the exact same length, but with a smaller wire diameter and thus requiring less force to extend. I replaced the original springs with these (Century Spring Corp. - #C-143 - 9/16”x3”x.054”). The lid operates perfectly, and now there is very little resistance at the hinge stress point. The only difference is there is no longer a “damping” effect when lowering the lid - it must be lowered manually rather than being allowed to fall on its own. That’s a small correction in habit, but will ensure that the replacement lid lasts for the life of the washer.

I bought a full kitchen appliance package 3 years ago, the gas range Clock LED started cutting off the line at the top of the numbers... when the range was about 1 1/2 old... Now 3 years later the range doesnt hold its oven temperature, the cost to fix it is $230 more than what I paid for the range. Whirlpool is unwilling to stand behind their product or provide a replacement part for a reasonable price. So now I will be buying a brand new range and the 3 year old Whirlpool will be taken to the dump. I will never buy a whirlpool appliance again. I thought Whirlpool was a good brand and a reputable company until now. Please beware when buying appliances, whirlpool is not reliable or reputable.

Bought a Whirlpool Freezer on bottom in Feb 2012. Its December 2015. Only had gotten a 2-yr warranty. Wished I would have gotten a longer one. About a yr ago the freezer started leaking water all over the bottom of the freezer which turned into a sheet of ice... then leaking water all over the floor. Now there is a knocking/clicking noise coming from the back of it. This product is only 4 yrs old and Im praying it doesnt give out on us. That was an almost $2,000 purchase. I was hoping to at least get 10 yrs out of it. Never buying a Whirlpool Fridge again.

Rust started forming early on our washer and spread quickly. Our house is air conditioned and not near the ocean. There was no reason for the rust. Poor quality finishing is the only explanation. When I called to complain I got nowhere. I wish I could show a photo on this website. It would dissuade anyone from ever buying a whirlpool.

My Whirlpool Duet washer was purchased on August 2006. The first one had to be replaced as it flooded my laundry room on the first floor and the basement – not once but twice. When I was told that they would send yet another service person out to try and fix it, I told them it would be at the curb and that I was looking forward to filing a lawsuit. Then after being on hold for forever and getting the company that sold me the unit involved, they replaced the washer at no charge.From day one I hated this washer machine. If you failed to take the clothes out immediately after washing, they would get a musty type odor and I never felt the clothes got cleaned enough. Yesterday, I went to empty a load of laundry and it was soaking wet with water pooling in the bottom of the barrel. Today, I had a certified Whirlpool tech come and look at the washer and he told me to put it at the curb as the rear bearing is shot and needed to be replaced. He also told me not to buy another front loader and the cost of the repair would be approximately $800.Thank you to Whirlpool for manufacturing a true hunk of crap that, may I say, cost me $1300. I will make sure I tell everyone I know that your products are crap and I would rather wash my clothes by hand. I did call the WP customer service number and was told that this is unheard of and that these machines rarely have any problems. After just reading multiple complaints of the exact same problem, I now know that this product is inferior and the design of the bearing assembly is seriously flawed. A major recall is probably in the near future and Whirlpool is hoping that most people will just dump them before the recall is made public.

I bought a fridge from this company not even 14 months ago. Went away for a week and came home to a fridge and freezer of rotten food. The fridge had died - Im guessing not long after I had gone away by the look and smell of the food and house. I have had nothing but the run around ever since that day. Spoke to this person and then that person. The electrician confirmed that my fridge is completely dead because of the compressor. So they sent a report to Whirlpool and they have now confirmed that I will get a new fridge. Now Im being told that will take 7-14 days. So I have been left with no food whatsoever as well as no fridge. I have two kids and cant even buy shopping for my son to take to school. And now Im being told that I had 9 months left on the warranty for the fridge that died and that’s all I will get on a new fridge. Should I not receive a new warranty for a new fridge? And should they replace my food? Could really do with some feedback on this matter. Please help me.

I have automatic Whirlpool washing machine since 3 1/2 years I am using. Now 2 times electronic board came problem so how many times can change like this? Why they are manufacturing if they cannot solve this problems? Should not sell in the market. This all not coming free and need to struggle. Whirlpool products all very bad appliances.

You cannot control anything on this machine. You cannot pre-fill to dilute detergent- you cannot choose temp because what you choose is changed by the machine (manual). You cannot choose your own combinations of temp, water volume, and timing. Once the ** thing starts you cant change anything, like the setting you wish to use. Do NOT BELIEVE THIS IS ENERGY EFFICIENT. There is a REASON that this machine has a 2nd rinse. It is because so little water is used that it does not allow soap, lint or dirt to have anywhere to go but back into your clothes. YOU have to trick it out to get enough water to actually get some loads truly wet. EVER! You stand there like an idiot opening and closing the lid just to get enough water to dilute the detergent. You cant pre fill and then add your detergent because, it needs to sense your clothes load. Wont fill with the lid open. You cant rinse the detergent cup out. You only get to do what Whirlpool already knows about your needs. Oh & lets not forget the spin cycle. When you open the lid, large items like sheets will look like a pancake made from one of the sheets. However underneath will be a tangle of the rest of your wash worthy of a Gordian knot. You can yank your shoulders out trying to dislodge the clothes. Spin yes, I guess it did, I just didnt need permanent press wrinkles. And thats if you CAN actually open the lid. For some idiopathic reason the lid may be on lock. Good luck with that. Most often, youll find no reason that you can discern like an unbalanced load or as the booklet suggests, you havent figured out how to load a machine. I hate the design of this so much that I called the company and they said that they would send a repair man out to see if its working. Whats he going to do? Run a couple of washes and say hey thats how they design these things? They will not replace it. They do not stand behind their products. You are stuck with bad design period.Describe Yourself: Frequent User. Service/Delivery: It came with a big dent in the dryer we bought with it. Installer dudes crossed the hot with the cold. Whirlpool will not stand behind the products they make & they make lots of the brand names. So they figure they can just do exactly what they want and youre screwed because even under warranty, theyll only fix the mess of engineering they designed in the first place. In 2007, I purchased two 30 gal. Whirlpool Flame Lock water heaters (Model: FG1F3030T3NOV) from Lowes for two different homes that I own. I started having trouble with one of them after about two months. I replaced the thermocouple several times, with each one working only about a month. After that, Lowes replaced the complete burner assembly and that, so far, fixed the problem.Now, the second one has (1 Oct 11) gone out. The local Lowes told me that they are out of the burner assembly for this water heater. I called them this evening and was told that they didnt know when they would have the part, but to call back about every other day to see if they had received the burner assembly for this water heater. They said that it could be from two days to two weeks before they may receive this part!In 2008, I also purchased a 40 gal. Whirlpool Flame Lock water heater (Model: BFG1F4034T3NOV) for my house and no problems so far. In 2007, I even recommended that a friend of mine purchase and install one of these in a home that he owned. He did. I helped him install it and it later had the same problems! I am now needing a water heater for my workshop. What can I buy thats dependable?

Our 3 1/2 year old dishwasher is falling apart. First the left slider broke on the top rack. We ordered a replacement part ($74) and when ready to install, discovered the right rack was also falling apart. At that same moment, the rollers fell off the bottom rack! It seems the plastic parts cannot tolerate the heat in this dishwasher (just a guess). We’ve returned the new replacement part and are shopping for a new dishwasher. It will not be anything from the Whirlpool line!

First F1 symbol on washer took 6 months to resolve. All we needed was new motherboard and couldnt mail it to us even though we could replace. It had to be an authorized person. Well we had one and they never put him in the system. Finally got that taken care of, 6 months of having to press pause and restart 5 times just to do one load. Arrrrrggggghhhh! Now water leaking out the bottom. Called again, on hold, then on hold again to be transferred to tech support. Yeah, right. No tech support. Talked to management, they could care less about us even though we have other products from them. Dont buy, they are lemons. We had ropes for 15 years and lasted through everything. Thanks Whirlpool, heres to losing a customer!!!!

Whirlpool has always been a quality product in my household. I had Whirlpool microwave prior to the one I recently purchased. It lasted 10 years and was used frequently and always on daily basis. It worked like a dream and I would never purchase any other brand!

The salesperson was great but we are not happy with our washer. We already had it swapped out once because of white spots showing up on our clothes. The only thing they could think of was that the bleach I used wasnt rinsing out completely so it showed up on our clothes. Recently, I washed a table runner by itself and it had some red in it. Now there are red spots on a couple of items that I washed after the runner. My husband just now asked why there were red spots on a shirt that he wears all the time. I explained. Also, we have had some white spots on clothes and I could scratch it out without leaving a permanent mark. Were no longer using bleach and we use only liquid detergent and all of it is HE. So I dont understand the machine. I hate it.

I bought my refrigerator model #WRV986FDEM, in October. It has not made ice in over a month. I think its very unfair to purchase a product and not be able to use it. The technician has been out here twice and the situation is still not resolved. I understand that customer service is not a strong suit of your company but I am not a customer to be taken lightly. I paid almost three thousand dollars for this piece of junk and I want it to work properly. I find it unacceptable that the technician just left and the situation is not resolved. I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine April 2016. I was so excited to have a new washing machine. I thought the 1st couple times I used it I just didnt have settings right. It uses so little water it doesnt get all clothes wet. If they are not wet they cant be clean. So I started doing very small loads. Then clothes were not clean. They stink. So I have tried every detergent out there. Nothing helps. Another thing it takes an hour or longer per wash to get not so dirty clothes. Not to mention it puts holes in my towels. I tried reaching out to Lowes where we bought it only less than 4 months ago only to be told they would contact Whirlpool. Whirlpool wanted to send tech that I would have to pay for just to tell me that the piece of crap washing machine is doing everything the manufacturer made it to do. I told him I was not going to pay so. I think with all the problems people there should be a class action lawsuit. DO NOT BUY CABRIO!!!

We bought a Whirlpool freezer-bottom 18.5 cu ft. fridge from Lowes. The compressor broke in less than three months of regular use. I called Whirlpool who sent A&E to check it out. The technician didnt even file a report and lied to me about what was wrong with the fridge. They sent a different company to come look at it and they confirmed that the compressor is broken. I called Whirlpool customer service and was told that the warranty only covers repairs not replacement even though I paid over $1,000 for a defective product. The excuse: Its a man-made product so we cant guarantee it! So what used to be a 3-5 year warranty not too long ago is now what? A one-year warranty is virtually useless. I can see a future not too far off where there is no warranty at all. Where is the protection for the buyer? If I wanted to purchase a second-hand fridge, I would have. I will never buy Whirlpool again.

We have a Whirlpool washer wtw5640xw2, we have been experiencing burning wire smells for some time. We had bought the extended warranty. Lowes sent out a repair company. They replaced the main board and the problem has continued. This has been as intermittent problem with the burning smell. We experienced it this week really bad! I thought the machine was on fire. We called the repair company and they said they had fixed the problem. My husband called the Whirpool number and they said they would NOT do anything to help us. We are trying to get help from Lowes where we bought the washer. I am terribly afraid to use the machine. This model needs to be discontinued.. We bought this machine 5-07-12. If we dont get some help, we are going to our lawyer.

We purchased our unit (Microwave Hood Combination #WMH53520AH-1) in Fall of 2013 and within a year we noticed there were occasionally problems with the sensors; occasionally when you would open the door the lights would flicker and even rarer still, they wouldnt turn on at all. Id close and re-open the door several times to try to get it to register, because if it doesnt you are unable to heat anything in it. The sensor issue increased with the passage of time, but because it was outside of the 1 year warranty, Whirlpool refused to do anything about it, instead advising that I pay $70-140 for a service professional to come out and inspect it. The biggest problem with the sensor issue in this unit is that normally, if you open the door mid-heating cycle, the microwave will automatically turn off but once I opened the door AND IT CONTINUED TO EMIT MICROWAVES - the cycle stayed on!!!Needless to say, on the occasion that the microwave is actually working and we are heating something up in it, we NEVER open the door mid cycle and instead hit the cancel button, which blessedly works. You would think Whirlpool would care about their reputation for making high-quality electrical products. A flaw in the construction or design of a product can appear if quality of materials is poor and the problem can be exacerbated over time. Which is why I assume the warranty is only for one year. High Quality Products and Good Customer Service are such rare things these days. For our next microwave (which I imagine well need soon) I think well forego Whirlpool and go with a different company.

Purchased Whirlpool dishwasher and range approximately 16 months ago. Dishwasher must stop in middle of rinse cycle because the dishes always feel filmy and there is an inch or two of water in bottom. Must be bailed out by hand. Piece of garbage. Called Whirlpool and they can get us a service man from 8-4 (who waits an entire day these days) on New Years Eve. Next appointment is following week to examine and will fix (if it is their fault and for a fee). The last two dishwashers I purchased lasted 10 and 7 years respectively. Stay away if you dont want bad equipment, uncooperative service, and aggravation. Range I bought was OK but the oven temperature is always off 10-15 degrees from what it says it is. I honestly wanted to buy American but I feel cheated. Next time Ill try Samsung and see if they give a damn.

Ill never buy Whirlpool appliances again. I purchased all new kitchen appliances less than 3 years ago. The range had electrical issues within the first year, which was extremely scary. Thankfully because of the warranty they took it back, reimbursed me for it and I replaced it with a GE. I absolutely love the GE. The dish in the microwave never stays on its track in the center. Its quite an inconvenience to fix it almost daily. The top rack in the dishwasher constantly breaks, drops down on one side. Random parts from inside the dishwasher constantly come loose and fall off. But the worst of all....my refrigerator has broken down twice in 6 months from the same issue due to no fault of my own. To give some credit, Whirlpool fixed it out of warranty the first time. However the same issue happened 6 months later and they are expecting me to pay for it. The repair company contracted with Whirlpool covers their parts under warranty, however different parts need to be ordered. I had to pay for these parts, a service call and labor. Whirlpool came out with a service pointer on this because they know its a manufacturing defect but are refusing to cover the cost. The representative I spoke to was nasty and inconsiderate but sadly the manager was even worse. DONT buy Whirlpool!!! I recommend GE, youll be much happier. Worst customer service and support.

My Whirlpool washer would start up but would not add any water. It sat there doing absolutely nothing. Then it showed a code on the screen. It said to disconnect the power for 1 minute and plug it back in, which I did. I repeated that process several times. Still nothing. It also said to call Whirlpool, which I did. They wanted the Model # WFW97HEXLO and Serial #, I gave it to the gal on the phone at Whirlpool. I was told it would be a week before they could get someone out there to take a look at it. Really!! I work 80 hours a week and live in the country. I dont have a week. When I asked where the service man was coming from, he was coming from another town. I asked if there was someone closer. She gave me another appliance stores phone number. They showed up 2 business days later, looked at my washer, verified the code along with the Model and Serial #s, telling me it was the control panel. I gave that information to them on a Friday, they showed up on a Tuesday. They knew what that code was and what it meant for that make and model washer, but there just had to be a service call in there. The part was ordered on that Tuesday... here it is the following Saturday and the part still isnt here. I do not understand what takes Whirlpool so long to ship the part. Do they not care that in this hustle bustle life we live in, we dont have time to wait for a part that may or may not show up. Ship it overnight. That is an option. Making the parts accessible to the service people in a timely manner would make great customer-service. Better yet, how about going back to the old-style washers. This high-efficiency non-sense is highly expensive.

This microwave had been the best I have used for several reasons. One is the modern design that goes with our kitchen. Two: it heats the food very quietly and produced an even temperature through out the food. Three; The inside of the microwave is easy to clean out.

I installed my new water heater in 2012. Within 3 months, it was not producing hot water. When I called, a helpful person at the Whirlpool warranty line told me it was because there was too much cold water being mixed into the hot water coming from the tank. I hung up... Called again and was told that they would be able to get someone in 2 weeks out to my house to check it. I told them that was not acceptable. I hung up... I called Lowes, where I bought it. The person on the other line finally, after more than 1 hour, was able to get a repair person out there within 2 days. I had to pay the fee to have the guy come look at my hot water tank, and tell me that he hated Whirlpools. He called Whirlpool, 3 times; he was hung up on 2 times. He explained what had happened was I had a hot water leak, that it probably it was overloaded, the thermostat control everything else was fine. However, that I had installed the heater myself not a professional. Therefore it was not up to NATIONAL code; therefore, Whirlpool refused to honor the warranty. So, short version, in order to get the tank repaired, I was supposed to spend an additional $300-$400 to bring the heater up to code for them to honor the warranty. What you ask made my heater out of code? It is outside in my utility room, and the flue was cut to fit and the OUTSIDE vent pipe was not above the roofline. It didnt matter that it is not in an enclosed space, that this was nothing to do with the reasoning the thermocouple went out.I simply turned up the heat, so far so good. Will I ever buy another Whirlpool? No. I have a Whirlpool fridge bought before the hot water tank situation. The ice maker went out within 6 months of purchase. When I called to have it repaired, the service guy stated he hates Whirlpool. The piece he had to replace was plastic that was replaced with a metal piece that should have been metal to begin with.

After less than 3 years it was the bearings, of course. Then, being handy and not stupid enough to pay the $500 for the whole piece of crap Whirlpool/Maytag tub, we bought bearings from the PartsDr. We just didnt dig deep enough to know that the strators on these things are made out of the cheapest Chinese plastic and are cracked in the SAME TWO PLACES EVERYONE ELSES IS!!! Imagine that? Will scrub my clothes in a river on rocks before I ever buy a Whirlpool/Maytag Chinese again. All front load seem to have the same problems but at least some other companies admit it and are trying to correct it. Will research and as with everything else stay away from the USA/Chinese rusty, corroded junk.

Love the design and style. It is an above the stove built-in model. And love the combination of microwave use and to have the ability to also use convection. It certainly has been an excellent purchase and would buy it again and would strongly recommend it to anyone.

I have had repairman out on two separate occasions to look at the dishwasher. It leaks. It’s unpredictable. Unless you run a full three hour cycle the dishes come out with dish soap still on them. I am very unsatisfied with this dishwasher.

Bought Whirlpool refrigerator Model GB2FHDXWS from Best Buy in July, 2012. I began freezing up immediately. Called Best Buy. They replaced it. Now the second one quit. Freezer doesnt work. Refrigerator motor works constantly. Called Whirlpool and was informed unit only has one year warranty. Got an estimate to repair it. Evidently, sealed unit needs to be replaced at $700. Will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again. Will not deal with a company that will not stand by its products.

Bought this washer in 2013 for close to $800. About a year and half old it got real loud sounds like a freight train. Asked whirlpool repairman about it, and was told it is a main bearing going out. He said it would cost over $500 to fix it. Whirlpool warranty sucks - only one year. Called whirlpool, told them the problem and asked if this is a problem with this washer. Got told no they have no problems with it. Found out later not only do they have this problem with it they change design because of it. Repairman said his own daughter had same problem and he had many service calls on this model all with same problem. WHIRLPOOL WILL NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE PRODUCT WHICH IS A MANUFACTURE DEFAULT. It sets in our house unusable. I will never buy a whirlpool product again. Sad because that use to be all I would buy.

We purchased our washing machine on October 12, 2011 from Lowes. Our washing machine broke on 04/19/12. We have been dealing with Whirlpool and Advanced since 04/23/12, trying to have our machine repaired. Whirlpool sent A&E out on 05/09/12. A repair person from Advanced has been to our home 3 times, and A&E has been to our home twice already. Advanced came to our house on 04/23/12, 05/07/12 and 05/09/12. A&E came to our house on 05/09/12, and again today, 05/11/12.Finally the repair person from A&E said he needed to order parts which are supposed to be shipped to our house. At this point in time we have very little faith that Whirlpool or A&E will do the right thing and repair our machine. We do not understand how a company like Whirlpool keeps getting away with horrible customer service. Whirlpool is the only company we have found where you cannot get in touch with someone who can resolve your problem. Whirlpool told me today that since a repair person is already trying to resolve our problem, we have no choice but to wait until they repair it.

I purchased the Whirlpool Gold OTC microwave model #GMH6185XVQ on November 29, 2010, and it was installed on December 26, 2010. After 18 months, the Magnatron went out. Its just me and my husband, and we eat out most of the time. So, it wasnt used a lot. I called Whirlpool, and Sherrie could only say that she feels my frustration. No, she doesnt. She has no idea. I just purchased $4000 worth of Whirlpool appliances, and now, I have no idea if they are going to last. It is a piece of junk that I paid good money for. In this day and time, we have to watch what we spend. I think Whirlpool should be a stand-up company and admit to taking our hard-earned money for a piece of junk. Dont they realize that its going to hurt their business.

A-10 error on display ultimately means needs a new pump. The washer (model WFC7500VW 2) is 3 months, 9 days old and is now unusable. I cannot get any service (under 1-year manufacturers warranty) because the sticker inside the door with the model and serial # is missing (i.e., it was sold to me by Homedepot.com without a serial # on the door label, sticker is intact and is brand new and apparently was printed without a serial #).I made multiple calls to Whirlpool in Benton Harbor, Michigan and finally spoke with Courtney (who states she was a supervisor) pretty much said all they will do is to reprint a label from the factory and I should have it in 7-10 business days. They refuse to stand behind their product and authorize timely repair of their product they sold to my without a serial # on the door tag from the factory. I have to wait to schedule factory warranty repair until I get the new label (probably 3 weeks plus without a usable washer). Courtney refused to contact me via email for any of her contact information or to supply verification of conversation or promise of a new factory label. Also, she refused to try to authorize any type of manufacturers warranty to fix the brand new unusable washer!

The machine never allows enough water to clean the clothes and I do not have the option to add more water or to spin the clothes again. The maker of this machine must think that people do not have the ability to know how to wash clothes or think for themselves. I need a washer that I can tell to add more water or just spin these clothes again. Very disappointed. I need an older model that I can control.

Washer has rusted out after only four years. I bought my set from Sears, and thought I would get good use out of it for many years; but I am experiencing rust falling from around the rim of the washer. Very dissatisfied with the product, I will never buy another appliance from Sears again. I have always used Sears appliances but after this experience I would not recommend Sears to anyone. I was told that the warranty was for one year, and the rust would not have been covered anyway. Very Dissatisfied Consumer. I thought Sears would stand behind their products. Yea, right.

Bought top of the line KitchenAid refrigerator $4500... Completely stopped working in 3 months. Cannot get ahold of anyone at Whirlpool & their phone system is ineffective. Appliance technician came out, cannot get the parts he needs from Whirlpool!?! He said that if he cant get parts in 21 business days then Whirlpool may consider replacing the fridge. Is this a joke?!!! I have a 1970s Frigidaire still working!

I have a pretty small refrigerator since I live in a condo. It has lasted me about 4 years and is still running very well. It is very easy to clean. I dont buy a whole lot of food at one time. The size is big enough to hold what I buy every week. The appearance is decent. Only two people use it every day. I havent had any problems with the refrigerator in the four years I have had it. I get frustrated sometimes when opening up the bottom storage container. If I pull it out too far, it falls to the floor. This happens especially when the container is full of fruits and vegetables. I guess bottom storage container was designed that way for easy removal to be cleaned. I really like the adjustable shelves. I can adjust them perfectly to store food containers and jugs of milk and other drinks. I like the door shelves in the freezer compartment. It is great for small packages of vegetables.

I purchased it new in July 2008 for $550, a single homeowner average 4-5 loads a week. First time it broke down, it was just inside the one-year limited warranty. It broke down again Sept. 2011, the basket separated from spinning mechanism. I learned that after $75+ missing day of work, repair tech quoted cost of repair $885 and a minimum of 10 days waiting for part to arrive.I called Whirlpool, the guy on the phone was nice but told me I was out of luck. Even if I had purchased the 3-year warranty, I would still be out of luck. The washer was manufactured in April 2008. What a piece of junk. Save your money and skip it. I wish I had. Aside: Whirlpool, whatever happened to standing behind your products? I used to think you were a quality brand. Im extremely disappointed and wont be purchasing any of your products in the future.

In July 2012 I purchased refrig, ed2khaxvb (model #). By Oct. 2014, after numerous service calls to unplug ice blocking chute, an ENTIRE door was factory ordered and DELIVERED. Feb 2015, A&E service installed new door. Later that day, I opened the freezer door which had insufficient suction and ice is again sliding down the chute to the floor. The stress this has caused me (87 yrs old). Case #, phone and ref..nos. could fill a book. PLEEEZE HELP. What can I do???? Ty.
