I needed a new washer and dryer, as I sold my other ones with my last house. I have been so happy with the economy of a front loading washer, and the clothes really dont require pretreating because Tide and the washer take care of everything!

I purchased the fridge 2nd hand in 2013. It was 10 years old at the time. It is still going strong & I purchased it because it has a frost-free freezer that never needs de-frosting and I love the features & size - its the PERFECT FRIDGE. What I look for in a fridge is its colour - I like metal, steel grey colour. I go for reputation & quality. Frost free is the biggest factor that determines my purchases, long-term (10-year min.) warranty & guarantee, size.

For the last month, in order to wash dishes, we have to start the dishwasher normally. The water will begin to fill the tub and then stop and all the display lights go out. We push the cancel/drain button and the dishwasher empties the water in the tub. We again, push the desired wash cycle button just like the first time and the dishes wash normally. We have purchased at least two of this same type dishwasher with the utensil holder in the door from Whirlpool in the past, with great satisfaction.

I just contacted Whirlpool Co. by online chat concerning the workmanship of their microwave that is less than two years old. The interior top has begun to bubble and peel as well as rusting. This is the 2nd Whirlpool microwave where I am experiencing bubble and peeling paint as well as rusting. Whirlpool informed that the manufactory was 1 year warranty and to contact a technician at my expense. There is a real health issue here and I hope consumer complaints about this company is being monitored by someone who can help all of those with concerns.

My washing machine is a front loader. Previously I would not have purchased one, but after using it for a year or so I have changed my mind. As long as I do not overload it my clothes come out perfectly clean using cold water, and partially dry so needing less drying time.

I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio washer 3 years ago. It is the worst washer I have ever owned. During the first year it had to be repaired. It continuously flashes F51 when I try to wash a load of towels or bedding. I am beyond fed up with this machine and will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product. If you are considering purchasing one of these I would tell you not to waste your money.

Nice refrigerator. Not enough flexibility in shelving adjustment. Same with compartments on doors, flexibility limited. Freezer design is limited. It is not easy to load the freezer with different items.

Its supposed to be energy efficient yet it takes AT LEAST two times as long to get one load done, regardless of size or cycle preference! Now laundry takes all day! Literally! And why is there a lid lockout? Did someone accidentally fall in? If I drop something after Ive pushed start, I have to wait until the machine unlocks the lid. Why? This seems counterproductive. Its a top loader!

I had my entire kitchen re-modeled in May of 2013 and purchase all new Whirlpool appliances. I work for Standard Pacific Homes and purchase the identical appliances we provide in our homes. I am so disappointed in the refrigerator. Two months ago it stopped making ice and I was told to replace the filter and it would be OK. I did that and still no ice. I bought ice trays. A couple of days ago, I came home to find water on my kitchen floor coming from under the refrigerator. I called Whirlpool again and no real help.... Told me to call Lowes. I called Lowes and they gave me 3 more numbers to call for service. None of those service providers had any available appointments and told me to call Whirlpool. Meanwhile my refrigerator is standing in the middle of my kitchen so I can keep the water mopped up. The refrigerator was so difficult to move. Getting the feet moved up so the wheels could touch the floor took an hour and I ended up with bruised hands. My lesson in this is to buy a better brand next time and go top of the line. I sell these to our buyers at Standard Pacific Homes everyday..... Wish I could believe in the product.

We had to have a sensor switch installed. We purchased this washer, plus the matching dryer June 10, 2010. This was just 16 months ago today.The cost of this repair was $160.24, for part labor and service call. The service call was excellent. Wish I could say the same for washer.We had previously owned a KitchenAid washer for over 20 years (before purchasing Whirlpool washer) and did not have to have one repair on it. Very doubtful I will purchase another Whirlpool.Looks like quality is a thing of the past.

We moved into our house about 5 years ago. We didnt know how old the heater was so 2 years after moving in, we replaced it with a Whirlpool Electric Water Heater. (2009) Last August, (2 1/2 years after installation) we found our carpet soaked in the room adjacent to the water heater and discovered it had been leaking into my finished basement for who knows how long. We contacted Whirlpool and they said they would replace the heater but I had to pay for the install because it was over a year. Mind you I had just paid 300 bucks 2 1/2 years before to put that one in. So I paid another 300 bucks to have a plumber come out and install this one. I had extensive damage to my basement, rug, walls with mildew and possible mold from the water. I went through my homeowners insurance and had almost $5000.00 worth of damage.So about a week ago my husband calls me downstairs and guess what, my brand new rug that I had replaced 11 months ago due to a leaking Whirlpool Water Heater was soaked again. This heater, 11 months old, leaked yet again!!! Needless to say Im beside myself, especially when I call Whirlpool and they will replace it, again, but who the hell wants to have damage to their finished basement every year??? When I called and asked them to pay for the damage this time because I cant possibly put another claim in with my insurance in less than a year for the same thing, they just say that they will have the labor charges dismissed as a courtesy. As a courtesy??? I said its been less than a year so they owe me the labor charges; she said no that it goes by the original warranty from 2009. What??? Thats utterly ridiculous and how is it possible that they can get away with this. That has to be against some state statue or law, to use the previous warranty on a defective product. So now Im left with about $2000.00 worth of damages this time to my brand new refinished basement all at the hands of Whirlpool. I had to get another one of their heaters because they wouldnt even give me the money for the heater so I could buy a different kind. I will NEVER buy a Whirlpool product again and Id advise to anyone who will listen to spend a little extra to avoid this hassle!

I bought a Whirlpool water heater in 2009. I paid $588.46 at Lowes. Turns out it is in a class action lawsuit for faulty thermocouple. I was given a coupon from Whirlpool for 2 new thermocouples as part of the class action lawsuit. The thermocouple goes out on it every 1-3 months. You never know when youre going to have a cold shower getting ready for work in the morning. I literally could have bought a new water heater for what Ive spent on thermocouples the last few years. The last two times it went out, I had to replace it twice within 1 day. Im sick of replacing it and have decided to install a new hot water heater. I am disgusted with Whirlpool and tried to contact them about it but have gotten no response. I will never buy another Whirlpool product and would not recommend them to anyone!

Today I had the unfortunate experience to have to deal with Whirlpool customer service and claims. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT again! My refrigerator, that was purchased in 2013, has a door misalignment problem. It is a known problem with Whirlpool (service pointer W107317828). My refrigerator serial number and model number are affected. Because I am outside the one year warranty, Whirlpool refuses to provide service that is required to fix this known issue with my model/serial number. After having to talk to four supervisors the only resolution that was given was that they would cover the cost of the 7/16 hex nut ($4.33). Dont get me wrong I do appreciate the offer.The two supervisors that were below her assured me that no one can do anything to assist me further. The attitude of the second and third supervisor was pathetic. After over a hour on the phone I was so disappointed that I could not take it further. The cost that we are talking about that I am asking them to pay is $154.28. I am very disappointed. They say they stand by their product. To me standing by your product means that you will fix or replace any known issue. $154.28. I hope it is worth it to you Whirlpool. You lost a long time customer.

This machine is JUNK and in need of a recall!! DO NOT BUY!!! This was purchased at Lowes for nearly $800 a couple of years ago and what a waste of money. During the first year, they had to send out a tech that told me he was not familiar with top loaders and was not sure why the clothes were not getting clean, nor why they came out with a white residue on the dark clothes. We used the machine cleaner - which the cycles take nearly an hour (how is that efficient?), put in a load of dark clothes WITH NO SOAP and guess what? Then he had me dump in a gallon of vinegar to clean the tub and the wall of the washer and repeated the process and guess what? He informed me that it was just lint. Well, after several visits and using a suggested pin drop of soap, the problem remained. I finally asked him if he was so sure it was lint and not soap residue, would he be willing to taste the lint? It was soap.Obviously after an hour of washing in the efficient washer, the clothes are not getting rinsed. I know this because in just putting in less than ten dark t-shirts, they came out dry!!! He informed me that since he was a contractor for Whirlpool, he was not allowed to continue to come back as he resolved the problem that I was using too much soap! Well, that is only part of the problem. This piece of crap leaks. We not only have a water softener, but a household filter system. In just the last three months, we have replaced the hoses as they are corroding. We were informed by Lowes that the hoses that came with the washers were from China and that they have been replacing them with US made hoses to the customers at no charge due to the amount of returns. Well, those too have been corroding and now I once again have water on the floor.It cost $1.75 to take my clothes to the Laundromat, 26 minutes to wash and ten minutes to get there and back. That is what I have been doing, and using my 23 year old dryer when I get home. It is a shame that the company is not responding to an obvious problem. I only wash two loads in a week - not like I am beating the thing to death with numerous loads or heavy loads. I will not recommend, in fact, I BEG you not to spend your hard earned money on this junk. Buy a $200 washer and if it too craps out in three, four or five years... you are still ahead. You will even save money on headache medication and save your sanity.

We had purchased a Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer and Dryer in 2007. Since that time we have had several repairs on the dryer, resulting in us having to purchase an entire new unit in 2011 (4 years old), along with mold that has accumulated in the washing machine on the tub and rubber seal that cannot be removed after several attempts utilizing several products that were recommended. The end result is our laundry that has been washed - comes out with a musty odor. Not happy at all with the top of the line, best possible machine to produce clean laundry as was sold to us! This has been a nightmare, and a totally dysfunctional appliance that should have lasted longer than 5 years!

I purchased a Whirlpool dryer about 18 months ago. Within 2 months the timer went out. Of course I am still under the manufacturer warranty they came and fixed it. Now a year after the same problem occur. Whirlpool convinced me to buy and extended warranty for $268.00 and scheduled service with Platinum Factory. Took a day off work, then they call me to cancel the appointment. I will advised people not to buy Whirlpool appliances because that is not the appliance I have with them. All whirlpool appliances have a defect. My refrigerator, my washer and dryer, my microwave all have issues. Most of the whirlpool at all. Services agents are rude and not professional. One agent from Tennessee had the nerve to tell me I have to lose money to get services right. When asked to cancel service plan I was told to write a letter to get my money back. My advice if you are in the process of changing your appliances DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES because your problem will not be resolve by talking to those stupid agents and will not let you talk to a supervisor.

Very unhappy all the way around with Whirlpool. The first refrigerator shipped had to be replaced, I do not remember the original problem, just the ordeal involved. The replacement had to have the computer board replaced twice, the icemaker stopped working after a few months, the freezer door does not seal properly. And now, after less than 3 years, the drain is clogged. After researching, come to find out this is a common problem and has resulted in many water damaged wood floors, including my own. Never Whirlpool again. There are much better brands on the market today with better price points. I highly recommend staying away from Whirlpool.

My Whirlpool Gold, French door refrigerator is 3 years old and just died. The most frustrating part was trying first to go through Whirlpool.com to have them schedule a repair service call. It seems that when I added my zip code and address, their program automatically changed the zip code. So an appointment was scheduled for a repair company that is 4 hours away from me. In calling Whirlpool back (another 30 minutes on hold), they again attempted to insert my address and zip code only to find the program changed it again. I got NO assistance. I finally did find someone (through Thumbtack.com) who found that one of the 3 circuit boards that tell the compressor to cool, was bad. Its going to be 10 days before I will have a refrigerator again and after spending 2K on it, makes me angry. I will never buy Whirlpool again.

I am so frustrated with my Whirlpool Gold Wall oven with Accubake system. It has been on for 12 hours in clean mode. The door is locked. My home is full of smoke and even though I turned off the breaker so no power would go to it, it is still locked and hot two hours later. This is the second time this has happened. Not only is it a fire hazard, my walls are hot to the touch. It is frustrating. There is no override of the clean mode. BTW, I was baking when the inside light switched on and off and the door locked down. I was nowhere near it and it was the second batch I was baking so I did not touch the clean button. It did it itself.

A-10 error on display ultimately means needs a new pump. The washer (model WFC7500VW 2) is 3 months, 9 days old and is now unusable. I cannot get any service (under 1-year manufacturers warranty) because the sticker inside the door with the model and serial # is missing (i.e., it was sold to me by Homedepot.com without a serial # on the door label, sticker is intact and is brand new and apparently was printed without a serial #).I made multiple calls to Whirlpool in Benton Harbor, Michigan and finally spoke with Courtney (who states she was a supervisor) pretty much said all they will do is to reprint a label from the factory and I should have it in 7-10 business days. They refuse to stand behind their product and authorize timely repair of their product they sold to my without a serial # on the door tag from the factory. I have to wait to schedule factory warranty repair until I get the new label (probably 3 weeks plus without a usable washer). Courtney refused to contact me via email for any of her contact information or to supply verification of conversation or promise of a new factory label. Also, she refused to try to authorize any type of manufacturers warranty to fix the brand new unusable washer!

About 29 Nov 2011, I bought a Whirlpool microwave, which model no. is magic cook 206 (mech). Sr No. CNF103400315, when we bought this item, we asked for the start up kit, but at that time they said that in grill microwave we dont provide start up kit but after a month when I again raise for start up kit, that time they give but in start up kit some item is missing and the sealed is open. I purchased Whirlpool 6.2ct electric range on 3/16/2013 from Lowes, Fremont, CA. I tried to bake my cake on 11/19/2013, and preheat it to 400F degree. When the temperature achieved to 400 degree, I put my cake in not even 5 minutes and go to dining room to pick up something. When I turn around, I saw the oven window is so bright and I open the door right away, it has fire from the left side bottom. I turn off the power right away but still has big fire. So I use the fire extinguisher to get the fire off.I went to Lowes to complain, this product is still under the manufacture warranty and I also purchased two years extended warranty from the store. Lowes sent the 3rd party technician over to check, they open the bottom element and insist I drop something to catch on fire. He tried 350F degree is working. But the fact is, theres nothing dropped, no oil, water or and any ingredients, only fire extinguisher powder all over the bottom. Technician put back the cover, I asked him, How do I clean up the bottom extinguisher mess? He said, You dont need to, just clean the top, and wont try 400F degree for me since the top didnt clean up. I asked him, I am so fear to use it now, you asked me to clean it up and try again. I only use my oven to bake cakes, cookies, and muffins, and that day the cake even not still raise yet. How could it catch on fire? Is this product defective? I doubt it.I also called Whirlpool, they said most likely its short circuit. They only provide the repair, unless it cant be repaired, then they replace it. Manufacturer also told me that my temperature is high. I dont think so. I have no problem to use any oven in 425-450 in the past. If this is high, why your stove has function to that high degree? I am so upset with both services. From my concern, nothing dropped to bottom and caught on fire. They all refused to replace the new one and asked me to continue using it. I really dont feel confident to use this one and dont know who can help me to replace it.

I have had my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine for 14 years. I feel this is very dependable and cleans my clothes efficiently. I love the large stainless steel tub without the agitator. I can fit a king size comforter in the machine. The only problem I had with it was to clean the lint out which I would assume would have to be done to any machine that is used every other day for 14 years. Love it!

Im 70 years old and always bought Whirlpool washing machines. My last one I bought at Lowes and it is the most Ive ever paid for a washer and its the worst Ive ever owned! Dont waste your money! Hard to get clothes balanced and it slams and bams like the old 1970 washing machines! Horrible!!!

I have a refrigerator model wrs325fdam. Its not a year old and I cant believe the runaround that I am getting from Whirlpool customer service. Come one day everything in freezer melting. Call a repair person. He come out, diagnose the problems, orders $825 worth of parts for a $899 refrigerator, puts the parts in. On the temperature in the freezer reads 80 degrees. No its order $200 more parts for this scrap metal pile. At what point do the people give a damn at the consumer, its not like anybody has common sense. Im going on two weeks without a ten-month-old refrigerator and four days waiting for them to figure this out. Would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone who cares about fair treatment.

After 16 months the Whirlpool refrigerator Model number: #WRT311SZDW00 goes out. While trying to use extended warranty Whirlpool states it will be 4 to 6 week before a technician can come out. YES- Weeks not days. Now Whirlpool states they are unable to find a technician in my area and in order to get it fixed I will need to hire the tech and seek reimbursement from them for the repair. However prior to the repair they will need to approve the repair. In the mean time I am renting a refrigerator at my cost. They lost a customer for life!!! Question- What is the purpose of the warranty? Model number: #WRT311SZDW00

My front loading machine is moldy and smells terrible ALL THE TIME -- I hate this machine and will never ever buy one like this again. I spend more money on cleaner than I do on actual laundry soap.

Aqualift is a Joke. We recently remodeled our kitchen and purchased a new Whirlpool range model #WFE710HOAE. It came with a feature called Aqualift Technology to clean the oven. The button you push to start it says Aqualift Self-Cleaning. I followed the simple directions and when it was finished I was surprised to find that nothing was clean. I tried it again with the same results. I had to then clean some of it with the enclosed scrubbing pad. You cannot use any cleaners except one that they also send a small sample of. In short, it was like the old days cleaning my mothers oven with a scrub pad and a lot of elbow grease. I spent 30 minutes getting it somewhat clean. I am so disappointed and mad that Whirlpool can just blatantly mislead consumers this way. No one wants to buy an expensive product such as this and have to clean it by hand. You get as good a result if you do not even use Aqualift. My last range lasted 20 years and all you had to do was take a wet cloth and wipe out the residue. Whirlpool is at best incompetent and at worse criminal and purposely misleading with this and other similar models and should recall or be forced to recall and replace these with a working technology. I am surprised that the Federal Government has not stepped in. I would be very supportive and would participate in a class action lawsuit on this matter. As I stated in the beginning, this product is a joke.

We built 8 years ago, with ALL new appliances...All Whirlpool Gold...been very unsatisfied with ALL appliances... Had to replace range and parts for refrigerator..And extendend warranties all nonusable..We live NM off a tarred county road by 1/4 mile...no one wants to even come and look. Not good.

I purchased a Cabrio top-loading high efficiency low water washer thinking I was doing something for the environment by saving on water and electricity. After about a month, I noticed that my clothes especially those with stretchable fabric were getting larger. My husband kept telling me I was imagining it. Then the clothes would get all tangled especially the pants with ties on the waistband. At the end of the cycle, the clothes are stuck on the sides of the washer and I have to pull them apart. Even after drying, I have to iron everything even my pillowcases which look like they have shrunk they are so wrinkled. I recently bought some 100% cotton outfits and they are even more wrinkled and are starting to lose their shape. I am now noticing that the stains on the clothing are not coming out even when I use a spot remover and put them through a second time.Now I started to notice an odor coming from the machine and my towels and wash clothes have a sour smell. I paid $600 for this machine and after reading the reviews, I just want to replace it. I am now waiting for it to break down. My husband kept insisting I must be doing something wrong. When it goes into the spin cycle, it bounces all around and I have to push it back in place when it is done. I do not think the clothes are getting rinsed enough so now I put them through a second rinse and always put it on low spin. It doesnt see to matter, it sounds like a rocket ready to take off. Is it even worth it to go back to Lowes where I buy all my appliances?

We bought the dishwasher as part of our major kitchen remodel. After 1 year, 10 months of successful operation, the wash motor failed. We are now faced with paying about 1/3 of the cost of a new unit, after less than 2 years. I dont expect new appliances to last forever, but less than 2 years is ridiculous. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone.

Love my new Whirlpool Refrigerator! Works well and no problems for the last year. Filters are pricey but found some at Lowe’s cheaper. Whirlpool stays in touch frequently emailing information about their products, some useful some not applicable. Would I buy this refrigerator again? Yes, I love the ice maker, it is quite large (enough to fill a small cooler), and the convenience of crushed or cubed ice is nice. Most people complain about the motors are loud yet we have not experienced that.

In the last 6 years I have had two refrigerators each lasting three years with major repairs from day 1. I am on my 6th repair for my Whirlpool Model WRF89SDAM02 purchased in October of 2013. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK.

I bought a water heater in 2008 from Lowes department store. The heater would continually go out causing no hot water. The company had sent several technical repair men out to resolve this problem, and still the problem remains. The Technical Support requested that they will pay for the part and I could install it, not knowing if I am able to do such a job. The technicians who were sent to my home were not able to do the job. How do they expect me to do the job without proper experience? Whirlpool products are not reliable nor is their maintenance contract. Stay away from this company.

We bought the Whirlpool Cabrio set from Sears in February 2010, for our second home. We counted up the weeks we have actually been here since then, it is about 10 weeks. We figure we used the washer about three times per week. So, we have gotten about 30 wash loads from this washer and it dies mid-cycle. We assume the motherboard crashed. It kicked the breaker. Lid was locked and we couldnt get it open. The washer would not power up. Repairman arrived three days later, got the latch opened but couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. He said it is probably a board and it might be better for us to replace. He wants to pick it up tomorrow to take to his shop. I called Whirlpool to complain. I know the one year warranty is up but to get 30 uses out of this expensive piece of junk and not get any consideration from the manufacturer is not right. I wish I had seen all these complaints before I bought it. No Whirlpool ever!

I love that as soon as Im done cooking. I can lift my grate with oven Mitt, clean the gas cooktop before food becomes caked on. My stove looks as good today as day I bought. The third rack was great for holidays.

Whirlpool is a very good company and their products work very efficiently! If I had a choice to choose in a different type of washing machine I don’t think I could choose. Whirlpool is very reliable. Their older machines as well as their newer machines! They last pretty long. The dryer is dry very well as well as the washing machines agitate your clothes to get them clean.

Washing clothes is a nightmare. I am constantly removing clothing from the washing machine that have been torn and left with holes. I am utterly frustrated. Because the machine is more than three years old, there has been no solution to my problem. I have now replaced clothing items in excess of $2,000. I am always here that they will send a repairman and yet there is still the problem. This machine is costing me too much money. The newer machines have fixed the problem. There is no gap between the drum and the doorway or rubber piece. I want that piece to stop this nightmare. This machine has taken a dream of mine and demolished the experience. I hate washing clothes but more so having a machine at home and then going to the laundromat to stop the chaos with doing laundry at home.

Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator at Home Depot in 2018. It has been a $3,000 piece of junk!! Customer service is garbage!!! They refuse to address a persistent problem since the day we bought it. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand!!

My review is not about Lowes, it is about the Whirlpool Range I purchased. I purchased a Whirlpool Range in 2013. In a matter of a few weeks the drawer at the bottom was giving problems. It was still under warranty and a repairman was sent to repair it at no cost to me. Something was broke about it. The drawer is so flimsy made it is not made to hold much of anything to start with. I have to take all sorts of effort to get it to close correctly. It is just shoddy made. Then a few weeks ago a piece of the side trim on the oven door fell off. My husband got it back on and then it fell off again last night. I am not happy with this stove, it is cheap made for $550.00. It is white with a smooth cooking surface. Drawer is so shallow and wont stay on the tracks, things fall out over the back. I am not satisfied with this stove, but I have got to keep it.

We purchased a high end KitchenAid Refrigerator Dec 2018. Rust developed on water dispenser door in less than year. They would not honor warranty. Since March we have had ongoing cooling problems with 5 service calls and 4 different fixes and unit still doesnt work. Local authorized service company, Fields, in Jacksonville FL is incompetent. Whirlpool doesnt return calls. The products value is not consistent with the high cost. Here are the gory details. Ref: Setzers, Jacksonville FL (sold unit). Fields Jacksonville FL (factory authorized service company).Less than 1 year in, it began to rust. We called for a Warranty check. Fields Appliance (their factory authorized service company) came out and agreed all 5 doors needed to be replaced. A month rocked on, finally we called to find out where the doors were, and were told Whirlpool (Makers of Kitchenaid) denied the claim. Citing that we lived near the coast! Well, our other appliances arent rusting and the refrigerator doesnt sit outside! They sent us a 6 oz bottle of rust cleaner. A few months later, this refrigerator stops cooling! This was in March, 3 months out of 1 yr warranty. The refrigerant system is warranted for 5 yrs. This was also right at the beginning of Covid 19 shutdown. Fields could not give us a appointment, due to shutdowns. So, I called a local company to fix it out of pocket. He discovered a leak in the coolant lines, fixed the leak and replaced the coolant ($453.61 on 4/9/20). Great, it works! About 3 weeks later, it stops cooling again. Called local service repairman out once more to see whats going on. He replaces a thermal bi metal sensor and well ahh! It works again ($100 on 4/28/2020).About 3 weeks after that, it stops working again! We are thinking by now, its a problem for Setzers, Whirlpool, and Fields. We call the local service repairman out to confirm and he states that the evaporator fan motor will need to be replaced, and that part replaces all sensors as well ($59.99 5/28/2020 service call). We call Setzers and schedule an appointment with Fields. First appointment we could get was 6/16/2020. Guy comes out, and cited a factory defect, per a technical bulletin he had, and relocated a sensor. Simple as that, he assured us it was fixed! Even though I pointed out it felt no cooler when he packed his things to leave. It did nothing! In the background Setzers (when they would call back) were supposedly working with Whirlpool to help fix the problem! Whirlpools reply was that since our repairman was not factory authorized, it completely voided our warranty! Explaining we had no choice, since Fields wouldnt come out and by now we are without a working refrigerator for 3 months, they could care less! Feeling totally frustrated, we call Fields again! On 6/19/2020, they send out another repairman. This guy came in, opened up the back, and immediately stated the refrigerant was overfilled. Didnt do any diagnostics, just told us that we were **, and walked away, without even putting the refrigerator back in place! Neither Fields rep hooked up a diagnostic tool to confirm any real issue, I guess they just knew! Total incompetence! So... As of now we have paid the local repairman ($448.33 on 6/26/2020) to order the evaporation fan motor and install it this coming Monday (7/20/2020). Total amount out of pocket at this point, $1053.90. It took that long to get here! Wish us luck! Setzers wiped their hands clean of the issue and told us to call Whirlpool. We did have not ever received callback.

I purchased a Whirlpool Duet HE front end loading washing machine. Less than two years after purchase, the machines tub and bearings failed amounting to a repair bill of $1035.00. Fortunately for me, or so I thought, I purchased an extended warranty for the machine. However, even though the complaint department was aware of the failure, the amount of the repair and the fact that I declined repair and was opting for the $500 reimbursement option, I was told that the claim, as it was called, would take 2-3 business days to process and if I was awarded (his words) the reimbursement, I could only use this money on a new machine at a Sears store and not on any new, but previous year model, or at a Sears outlet. None of these things were related to me when they took my $214.00 for the warranty. In all, my original washing machine of 22 months will have cost me $1414.00. My new washing machine, if awarded one, will cost approximately $400. The total cost to wash clothes for 10 months will exceed $1,800.00. Do not purchase Whirlpool front end loaders because the drum bearings will break (that is why they exclude them from extended warranties) and do not buy extended warranties as Sears makes out in the end.

Purchased this oven on 9/12 from Sears, did not purchase an extended warranty and didnt think it was necessary. Im a 64 year old widow and only use the oven on holidays, to date Ive used the over 5 times. With Easter coming, I decided to clean the oven. Followed the instructions, the door locked and the oven died. Im totally disappointed, now it would cost over 100.00 to repair, money I cannot afford. Called Sears and all I was told over and over again that they can send a repaid person and I would have to pay. I was also told that I should have purchased a Kenmore and I wouldnt have had a problem and finally I was told that they couldnt fix it and referred me to whirlpool customer service, who also told me it would cost over 100.00. A 19 month oven should not have died. It should have cleaned the oven and continue to work for many more years. Again, Im upset, angry and disappointed with sears & whirlpool. And dont know what to do. Does anyone else have this problem with the oven, is there a recall?

I’ve had my Whirlpool Duet for 12 years and it has been a great one. I’m a mom of three sons, all of them wash their own laundry!! Lots of loads are done weekly and it cleans well! We leave the door opened after it’s unloaded so the tub will dry. Every few months, I put a tab in it so it will clean out all of the buildup. I don’t get the “front loader smell” that way.

We have had a Whirlpool hot water heater for 6 years and 14 days. Note the 14 days. It has been nothing but trouble and we have called the company repeatedly for help. It finally stopped working altogether 14 days after the warranty ran out. Thank you Whirlpool for nothing! It had a filter on the bottom of the heater that constantly had to be cleaned which was next to impossible. We had to buy a special brush to try to reach it. My husband had to take it apart several times a year and clean it to keep it running. Whirlpool should have replaced it within the first year but instead offered many suggestions about cleaning and etc. so they would not have to replace. Today it is out of my house for good and I would advise anyone reading this to beware! Horrible product!!!

Whirlpool Gold Convection Oven - I bought this new oven, cleaned it once. The bottom cracked where the spills had been. Since Id had it only two months, repair tried to say it was only cosmetic but had to replace it. Next time I cleaned the oven for multiple spills, (a year later) it cracked again, giving the bottom a shattered look where the spills were. I only cleaned it once and the bottom is ruined. I dont expect Whirlpool to stand behind this, but I agree these Convection Ovens require a Class Action Suit because they are selling faulty merchandise. Period.

The stove is okay except it scratches on its glass surface fairly easy with the non-stick pans. Also wished it had a self-cleaning oven. Its not the easiest to clean on the inside of the oven. The knobs are easy to use but its hard to navigate knobs to low to keep food warm rather than cooking at a low temperature. It has strong exhaust fan that really does its job.

We bought our washer about 3 years ago brand new from Lowes. Like others, I have had problems with holes in clothing and spots that looked like grease. It worked well up until recently when we noticed some brown splatters on the floor. Shortly after it made a loud noise like a plane taking off and the load would become unbalanced. We researched and found many people were having issues with the bearings going bad. My husband was going to order parts to fix it but you have to have a special tool that is expensive to buy... It was going to be almost $200 to repair ourselves! He called a washing machine repair man and he said he doesnt even touch them because the repair wont last. I guess were going to be better off buying a new washer. There really needs to be a recall on this product!!!

We had the Whirlpool electric range delivered yesterday. The clock light is too bright! Keeps the house lit all night! Do I really need to pay the cost of burning this? Additionally, it’s so annoying that we will not be keeping the range. If I needed a nightlight, I would buy one. Very poor design. The lights on the other appliances go out when not in use, one would think the range would have been designed to do so as well. I have NEVER had a problem with a stove light being too bright. This is ridiculous.

Extremely disappointed!! We purchased this water heater about 4 years ago and for the past year we have to manually turn on the burner. Its been a nightmare! We called Lowes to purchase the parts, but they do not sell the parts. There was a nine year warranty. Our last water heater lasted about 11 years. Its such a shame that this one is giving us problems just after 3 years. Im really considering just buying another one. I dont want to continue struggling with this one. Its been a bad purchase and coming to find out that Im not the only one with this problem. If its a defect Whirlpool should at least replace them for the inconvenience. They should take responsibility for selling defective products.

I purchased a three door Whirlpool refrigerator in August of 2014. Today I am having it repaired for the third time, each time for a different reason. I either bought a lemon or Whirlpool products have really gone downhill. Either way I will never again purchase a Whirlpool product. Between the cost of the repairs and lost food, I am debating about dumping it and buying a new refrigerator.

WE had a Kenmore dishwasher and it never got the food off without scrubbing the dishes first. We decided to get a new dishwasher after being very frustrated. We purchased a Whirlpool and noticed a difference instantly. It was quiet, got the dishes completely clean, (no pre-washing like before) and was overall a better fit for our family.

GX5FHDXVY04 French door fridge. Ice maker backup issue - which cause water to build up and leak out of fridge. Fix was a known issue with a rubber grommet - $100.00. Fridge stopped blowing cold air - control board - $293. Fridge stopped blowing cold air again! Getting Nowhere with Customer service... Whirlpool used to be a great brand. They have lost me as a customer, and by the looks of this board, Facebook page, I am not alone!

The plastic holding the vegetable drawers broke and now they are cracking because nothing is there to hold them in place. This fridge has a freezer on the bottom, which I like. Unfortunately, I had an Amana before this and it was wonderful- just old. I had to settle for a smaller refrigerator and that is part of the problem.

I am very sorry I bought this machine. CU rated it pretty good. Nope. 1 - It rarely dries everything completely. e.g., the collars of t-shirts or turtleneck shirts are damp after the load is finished. I have to run the machine again....Energy efficient? Energy schmefficient. and I havent even TRIED to use the low heat delicate cycle. 2 - The cute modern buttons are hard to push in. 3 - The top of the machine doesnt have a level lid... Its curved. Not very useful for setting anything on while you work at any part of your laundering process.

This washer is going back. It simply will not spin the water out of the clothes. It says it gets clothes drier than a conventional washer, but I have not found that to be true. I have to use the drain/spin cycle over and over and still the clothes are wet. I had the repair crew out and they were able to get it to spin out a very small load consisting of two sheets and two towels. Other than that, it does not spin out water. It is also very difficult to load if you attempt to leave the center open as they recommend. The cycles are very long. Not being able to look inside without pausing it and waiting for it to unlock is also a huge hassle. I am getting one with a glass top so I can see what is going on. If you leave it open for too long, it cancels the cycle and drains all the water, and you have to start over which is another problem because all your detergent just got drained out before the load gets going. It uses so little water on most of the cycles that the clothes get totally tangled up with one another. I think you should be able to choose the water level manually. I am all for saving water but if I want more water from time to time, this does not allow you to do that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I just purchased a new Whirlpool 6th Sense hot water tank #333570. This unit is a piece of garbage. Whirlpool should be ashamed at the quality of product they make. This unit came with a bent temperature and pressure relief valve, which required a piece of copper tubing to be bent awkwardly just to remedy the situation. Also, the control box is set at 12 (most other brands are 14, which is common), forcing the gas lines to be re-piped (very expensive). This unit also is extremely noisy, runs really, really hot and is not energy-efficient at all. Shame on me for not researching this product more closely. If youre buying a new hot water tank, steer clear of Whirlpool products.

Brand new Whirlpool dishwasher letting steam out ruining cabinets. Whirlpool admitted this has happened before. ** sent 3 different service repair companies to my house and all 3 told me the parts they recommended from Whirlpool was not going to fix problem. They finally after 3 different repairmen agreed to refund dishwasher. I requested they hire someone to give estimate on my kitchen cabinets. It was their product that done damage and I live in rural area and no one wants the job of restaining. If the cabinet is replaced it is expensive. Granite counters have to be removed and placed back, sink etc. I requested 3000.00 or Whirlpool send someone to give estimate. This has been dragging on for 2 months and still cant use dishwasher. Is that too much to ask for? This has been a nightmare and Whirlpool should be embarrassed. So many emails and messages and most of the time they are unreturned

Amongst all other items listed in these reviews (especially the tangling and twisting of clothes literally into knots), my guess is that is one way to ensure they are drier when they come out, wring them into knots... So now the pizza is slinging grease/oil all over the floor and water is leaking out from the bottom as well to make a perfect conglomeration of ** all over my tile. There is always more than one way to take care of the employees, hire sales people full of **, and technicians who know what the hell to do to fix it, with previous full of ** sales experience so consumers can buy more Whirlpool parts...

Top load stackable Washer dryer - Model number YWET 3300XQO. I had two floods with the same washer dryer unit. The first flood occurred in April 2012 and thousands of dollars were paid to repair the home that was damaged due to this flooding. The second flooding happened in October 2012 with the same machine at the same home. This time there were other Whirlpool owners that also suffered with the same issue with the same model Whirlpool machine. Whirlpool acknowledged that they will pay out to fix the damages and the deductibles but to date they are simply playing games on paying out. This is 15 months after the first flooding happened.

The built-in microwave above the stove was in the home when we bought it seven years ago, so not sure how old it is. Although it had a crack in the door, near the handle, weve had not one problem with the unit. The crack has not opened more, or gotten longer, in the seven years weve been in the home. The unit is easy to clean, and has worked perfectly. It is simple to use, although no directions came with it, it was easy to figure it out.

Whirlpool W8RXEGMWQ01 leaks - It looks like the seal is not tight around the freezer box. They blamed it on my floor but I think its because the door sags. The door needs to be lifted about 1/2 to fit snugly into the freezer box opening. They came out three times but couldnt fix it, then they said it was my fault. Then I finally gave up.

The stainless steel refrigerator door is rusting after only 5 months and the company respond it is cosmetic and we the customer have to live with it.... They will send a cleaning product which didnt remove the rust. Review that was written on the company facebook page wasnt published because it didnt meet the company website guideline. Its disappointing and frustrating to realize that we have to go through it. Not happy with customer service.

It took several delivery attempts to get a refrigerator without cosmetic flaw and it only lasted four years before Freon leak in evaporative system occurred. It would have cost more to repair than replace. Needless to say, I replaced it with another brand.

I absolutely hate this Cabrio machine. This should be off the market. Shame on them for selling this. Salesman sold me a bill of goods on this washer and dryer. I have to wash some clothes 3x or hand wash. Whirlpool told me to use bulky or delicate cycles, as this puts more water into the machine so my clothes will rinse clean (doesnt work). When I wrote, they didnt even offer to make a service appointment. They know they have a bad product! I agree. Greed.

I purchased a washer and dryer through Best Buy. I had already decided on what I wanted and have purchased Whirlpool appliances in the past including washers and dryers. I tried other brands and was disappointed so I wanted to go back to using Whirlpool w/d. I was encouraged to purchase this set because it was on sale. Worst mistake I ever made. I am so disappointed! I wish I could go back and do over. I would have gladly paid more for what I had wanted instead of saving (supposedly) a little money. I personally think they were trying to get rid of these models because they are awful and I have had so many problems doing a job I already dont but this set makes it worse. The washer is constantly off balance I think because you have to be so strict in how you lay in the laundry to the washer! Now the dryer takes even longer to dry my clothes than my twenty year old set (Maytag) which wasnt that bad. Is there any kind of trade-in I could do model: WTW4900B to get the set I really wanted (the models with glass top on washer and glass door on dryer)? I purchased this in April 19 of 2014. We bought a washer in Sept. 2014 and it was used for 4 months before we left and went south for the winter. When we came back in May, we started hearing a loud banging noise so we notified Whirlpool since we were still under warranty. They sent a repairman and he said he needed to take the washer in so he could repair it. They have sent the part out 3 times and they said it was chipped or cracked so another would need to be sent. This has been going on for 2 months that weve been without the washer and today we checked and supposedly another part should be coming. The washing machine does not wash the clothes. It does not clean the clothes and goes off balance all the time. I have had it 9 months and waited to write the review to make sure I using it properly and giving it a chance but to no avail. It is awful. It leaves white lines on the dark clothes and does not take makeup stains out of the white towels. Those are just a few examples. The clothes have to be washed sometimes twice to feel they are clean enough. So it is not cost effective and uses more water which is counter productive to the HE.

Bought this 18 cu ft refrigerator this year. Only 3 choices for temp. Everything freezes, milk has crystals, ice cream is soft. Buyers remorse! Old ref was a Whirlpool. Wished I would have given others a chance.

We purchased this Whirlpool washer 5640XW3 from Lowes. It doesnt clean the clothes. Even if I run them through a second wash cycle, the clothes are still not clean. Called Whirlpool and they said nothing is wrong with it. I use HE detergent and load clothes around the agitator as directed in the manual. Still, clothes are not clean.

I like the top and the stainless steel finish - its electric and so the inside is a pain to clean. Flat top - burners heat well/oven gets up to temp fast. Cleaning the outside isnt difficult, I use Bar Keepers Friend on the SS and Wegmans on the flat top - for the back black splash Mrs. Meyers - so its 3 products but its also 3 minutes. I live alone and so use is minimal as well. Im not sure Id like it in a busy house with kids.

RE: Our Whirlpool gas range/oven model# GW397LXUS05 installed Oct 2010 started acting up when setting the oven temperature. The 0 doesnt work so we input 355 instead of 350 etc... Other numbers have started to fail as well... Also it needs cleaning but a neighbor with the same model said whatever you do dont use the self clean for the oven, as they did & it literally burnt out the control panel costing them over $400!! Say what?? So we cant use the self-clean feature or well really fry the control board... Would LOVE to hear Whirlpools explanation on this one... And a minor issue but nonetheless worthy of a mention, the oven drawer never slides in/out properly & hasnt fit right from day one...

The ice maker only makes enough ice for two small glasses. I wish Whirlpool would buy it back and let me buy a new side-by-side. I have to buy bags of ice because of this. I truly am very unhappy with this Whirlpool with the freezer at the bottom. For what I paid for it, this refrigerator is not worth the money. The model is G165DRXY07.

Whirlpool makes a quality product. My gas range is 25 years old and it still performs like new. I’ve never had to have it repaired and it is used daily. If and when the time comes that I need or want to replace it, I will not consider any other brand.

Bought this refrigerator in 2018 and ice maker went out 2x, then compressor went out and waited 4 weeks for part. Now the refrigerator is broken again and not cooling. DONT BUY WHIRLPOOL! I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator 5 years ago. In June I had to have a new thermostat put in because the refrigerator would not stay cold. The food in the freezer would defrost and then freeze, defrost and then freeze. I had to throw all of the food out. Two weeks ago the refrigerator was making a groaning noise so I looked in the freezer and the temperature was up to 30 degrees. The ice cream was soft, the bread and buns that I had in the freezer were defrosting and small things like crab cakes had also started to defrost. Eventually the temperature went back down to zero.So I called out the repairman AGAIN! He told me this is normal that the freezer goes up to 30 degrees to defrost the freezer and the groaning noise I heard had to do with the Freon. It cannot be normal for food to freeze, defrost and freeze again. I called their customer service and their representative, Jasmine, basically told me all she could do for me was to schedule a service call. Really? I just had the repairman out the day before. I am concerned about food safety with a refrigerator that fails to keep food at the proper temperature.

Bought a Whirlpool Fridge WRS321SDHZ00 and it has been services three times in one year. It has been down for at least one month at this point due to all the service. Service History- Oct 15th 2018 - Fridge/ freezer started not cooling (Issues started) Oct,19th 2018 - Failed defrost (Tech Diagnosed) Nov 13th 2018 - Control was replaced, defrost heater replaced (Service performed) April 10th 2018 - Fridge started not cooling again (Issues started) April 15th 2018 - Tech diagnosed failed UI board (Tech Diagnosed) April 17th 2019 - Replaced failed UI for water/freezer dispenser (Service performed) May 23 2019 - Fridge started not cooling again (Issues started) May 23 2019 - Tech came out and diagnosed the issues as defrost thermometer (Tech Diagnosed) (They initially wanted the tech to come out May 28th but I had to explain this was not acceptable as I can not continue to be without a fridge like this) May 23 2019 - Request to have the fridge replaced.May 24th 2019 - Whirlpool called to notify they would replace the fridge.

Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washing machine: You wont believe this until you call a parts replacement place for tiny part. The plastic (or vinyl) lid hinge bearings are located at hinge corners of lid. Hinge pin passes through them, one on each side. Half the size of a penny, UNCONSCIONABLE greed at the price of $32-$33 dollars EACH when ordered from a parts place. IMHO, design by INTENTIONAL failure to fail after three or four years. As a result, the lid will not stay up on its own. Then you find out the horrible news which is an insult to intelligence. Id have expected to pay maybe two or three dollars each, but NEVER the price they are demanding. Theyve got you and there is NOTHING you can do about it. At that rate, parts would run tens of thousands of dollars to replace the entire machine, part by part. These greedy clowns make car dealers look like reasonable people! The LAST Whirlpool machine of ANY kind we will EVER own!

We bought a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator in September 2009 for $898, which was a lot then. Last fall the ice maker jammed and started dumping ice in the floor. Yesterday, we noticed that things in the freezer werent solid. After checking, we found our frozen food had thawed and things in our fridge werent very cold either. We called Whirlpool which was no help. Then we called a repair man who told us, “There was a leak in the seal system and it was low on freon. Would have to replace a compressor, evaporator and it would be better and cheaper to just buy a new refrigerator. It has just turned 4 years old. I called Whirlpool again and they said they didnt know why it went bad. I said is it a recall or just a bad refrigerator. The girl was no help at all; I kept asking to talk to a tech and finally asked for their corporate office address which she said was 553 Benson Rd., Benson Harbor, Mich. 49022. I now have to buy a new refrigerator and it will not be a Whirlpool.

From the beginning, we were not really happy with the performance of the machine, which we felt was not cleaning as well as it should. Now it doesnt take the soap at all. The washing process goes on perfectly but without soap, so the dishes remain dirty.

whirlpool Cabrio Washer - I replaced my front loading Duet with this, thinking I was done with front loader. Designs are set to fail, liked the idea of no agitator, thinking can clean a lot clothes at once, boy was I wrong, heavy loads wont spin dry, forget sheets or blankets. The machine just stops, leaving everything soaked and you basically screwed, you can invoke a spin cycle but to help make rinse and spin out, sooo disappointed. Whats wrong with the designers of this product? They didnt try sheets to see if it would even work. I am far from over loading this too. Dont buy this.

The washer does clean simple stains. The clothes end up all twisted (sleeves & pant legs). Antiperspirant gets transferred to dark clothing. Large loads do not get clean and the response from Whirlpool was run everything on hot and for longer than normal times. The enviro rating and low water usage claim has resulted in a machine that does NOT fully clean clothes. Look elsewhere and do not buy.

In 2007 and 2008, I purchased 7 natural gas heaters: 1 for my home and 6 for rental properties. I have had nothing but problems from all of them. Two of them failed this weekend (one 40-gallon and one 50-gallon). I called the 800 number and have to pay $63.50 for parts for the 40-gallon and was given a PO number to pick up parts for the 50-gallon at Lowes. They do not have the parts. I have spent over $250,000 at Lowes since 2000. I have all Whirlpool appliances in rentals and my own home. The discussion I had at two Lowes stores today really showed me how they take care of their customers. I told both stores that I will never buy the Whirlpool brand again!

Purchased our Whirlpool Gold Oven in October of 2013 from Best Buy. The oven works fine, but using the oven to make pizza on March 30th of 2014, a fire started in the drawer under the oven. The oven was set at 400 degrees. Several oven mitts were stacked in the drawer. There was no major damage done to the range, other than a bit of discoloration to the white trim, but we will never put anything in the drawer under the oven and would advise others to do the same.

I bought a washer from Lowe’s Home Improvement in September 2017, called a couple weeks after the purchase. They sent someone to repair machine. It is still not working. Called Lowe’s back. Was given an 800 number. Talked with someone at this number got nowhere. Was given another 800 number. I am waiting to find out what is going to be done. This is terrible customer service.

I have had my washer & dryer about 12 yrs. It has given me great service; however the spin mechanism on the washer stopped one month ago. It was replaced thru my home appliance warranty. I need the front loader style because Im disabled now, and cant take clothes out of washer. My previous set was Kenmore & it lasted 20 years. Looking to purchase in 2 months.

Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator, #GI6FDRXXY07 ICE MAKER PROBLEM - Ever since we bought this ref in 2012, we have been facing problems one after the other. First the refrigerator was shutting off on itself thawing the food the ref & freezer. (When we were on vacation, in summer of 2012 , it was a disaster when we returned home.) This a continuous on going problem... not fixed. Second 2012 Spring the Icemaker shuts off spilling water at the dispenser, when called customer service they sent a technician who replaced the ice maker. But again the icemaker is spilling water or leaking now. Third 2013 Winter, the bottom freezer was leaking and ice buildup at bottom. We have been having problems ever since we got this. WHIRLPOOL YOU HAVE DISAPPOINTED US, its been an exasperating experience. Please Help, its not our fault for your poor design & faulty product.

We have been very satisfied with the way our dishwasher has performed over the years. It cleans the dishes well. It runs somewhat quietly. It doesnt seem to use too much detergent to get the dishes clean.

I purchased this washing machine December 16, 2011. I paid $737.07 for this machine. 14 months later I had to repair the top of it which cost me $255 for the lid which the plastic around the lid was cracked. I had to pay $136 installation fee and two years later the exact same thing happened again, the plastic cracked. I have contacted Whirlpool which took a complaint - said that was all they could do. Ive contacted the store where I purchased it, they can do nothing. I read online there are many complaints about the lid on this washing machine. It shouldve been a recall. I will never purchase a Whirlpool product again. I will not pay to have it repaired again. I will give it away and purchase something else not whirlpool and not from Lowes. I expected some kind of compensation from whirlpool on this. I have all my receipts.

As I write this my Whirlpool is roaring because a bearing is probably going bad. Ive owned this washer for maybe 5 years. They designed this washer poorly. If you leave change in your pocket as everyone does then it will end up in the bottom below the basket and get trapped. And it dislodges, and it will, when the drain pump engages it will blow the coin through and it will break the plastic housing. It needs two beads so that NO COINS can get through if you wash them. Very disappointed customer.

Whirlpool Cabrio, H2 washer system type 588 01, serial # c0303 10 - We have been in our condo 5 years. The washer & dryer was here and new when we moved in. I have been displeased with it from the start. It takes forever to wash through a load, and the clothes are just as dirty after being washed as before. I soaked some whites in Clorox overnight and ran through using Tide and Downy. Then the stains and dirt were still there. I ran them again it was not any better. I had a professional from Hagadorn come. They could not find anything wrong. It cost us about $100.00. Others in our area have the same complaint. I have never been satisfied with this wash. It just does not get the clothes clean. Please help!!!

I have had no issues with this brand of microwave. I have had built in microwaves before with this same brand and they have performed well. We use the microwave every day for some reason to heat up food or make hot drinks. I feel Whirlpool is a good product and value.

We replaced older GE with the giant front load model that can do king size sheets and comforters. It has worked like a champ. It was a bit more but worth it for us. In a year and a half no issues no problems and I like the control lock feature so I dont keep hitting it off when I go thru the laundry room to the garage.

I have had my Maytag (Whirlpool) Centennial Commercial machine for 10 years and it has not required any repairs or have given me any issues. I love the water level sensor that doesnt require me to select a load size. I would highly recommend the Whirlpool brand to consumers.

Clothes dont always come out clean. If there is anything more than 2 sheets in the washer, it becomes unbalanced and then goes through a rinse until the water is up to the top! You have to watch any heavy load for this! Today there were 3 sheets in the washer and sure enough it kept rinsing until I physically reached in and rearranged the sheets. Then when it was done and I pulled the sheets out to put in the dryer, they were SOAKING wet! I hate this machine and will NEVER get an HE washer again.

I bought a whirlpool Washer in 2011 which I bought an extended warranty. Thank Goodness! It has broken every year. At first I was ok since they always fixed it. It is very inefficient and the clothes are not clean. But today I am so ticked. It broke in Sept. and they have come out twice and cant fix it. Now they say it will be Dec. before they can fix it as part is backordered. REALLY!!! Im expected to not have a washer from Sept. to Dec. with no compensation! I have called both Whirlpool and the warranty company and they say thats just the way it is. I WILL NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL AGAIN. The warranty service is through Federal Warranty Service.

Purchased a $900 refrig, it broke 1yr & 1 week later. I fought to have this fixed since its out of the warranty period. After having to take off time of work for repair people to come. The repair guy made a disaster. Finally after much arguing I received a new refrig, same model. Well that last about a year & 1 1/2 then it started leaking underneath. I CANT use the icemaker or the water feature which I paid extra to have. What a piece of Junk. The people at Whirlpool will just say, Did you purchase a warranty? YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO HAVE IT FIX WHEN ITS ONLY 2 YRS OLD!!!!!! They are so greedy, they make junk so that you spend more money on repairs or extended warranties. Whirlpool owners & mgrs see how you feel when it happens to you. KARMA. I will tell as many people as I can to stay away from Whirlpool. I will never purchase their products again.

Have owned my Whirlpool washer model# LSR 701 0PQ1 two years and had no problems with it before today... The washer was used once a week since I purchased it and only myself use it. There is only myself and my son and our loads are always small. Well today I put a load in and went to finish my other housework and when I went to check on the load, there was a weird smell in my laundry room. As I approach the washer to put softener in the rinse I saw a flash behind on the left hand side of the control panel where the size of load and water temperature selection is. I unplugged the washer and put the fire out. Have never had anything happen like this before with this brand. I already know I have to buy another washer but am scared to get another Whirlpool.
