I am very happy with my Whirlpool appliance- oven. Ive had it for almost 5 years, with hardly any issues. -Its very user-friendly when I need to program any cooking instructions. Both the elements & the actual oven cook everything to a perfect.

Whirlpool duet steam front loader - The rubber gasket ripped about a year ago and cost over $400 to have a tech come and repair. Then the water level switch got bad and cost another couple hundred. A year later, the rubber gasket ripped again. What a junk washer. I am ready for a lawsuit because Whirlpool will not replace it.

AquaLift cleaning system does not work. My oven was barely dirty and I had to scrub with the special sponge to remove baked on food after I did the cleaning system twice! Rust is also showing up on the drawer which they refuse to repair because it is ONLY COSMETIC! Stove is 16 months old.

I purchased an extended warranty with my product purchase and only a year and a half into using this brand washer the lid broke on one side at the hinge, it looked really rusty and like others I thought I was making a very decent purchase because all of my previous appliances were Whirlpool so figured Id keep up with the brand. Sad to say that was the worst decision I could have ever made for 13/1400 dollars for a washer with a light inside. Never again. They wouldnt even keep up the warranty because they said it was too expensive to repair it. Whirlpool is very bad for business...

I have a Whirlpool refrigerator model number wrx735sdhz and its been a lemon since I bought it. The ice machine totally backs up and the Chute overflows and Im always scooping ice out. Had another technician out today. He saw my frozen sour cream download Frozen pickles and everything else Frozen. Then because I had to have the ice maker replaced in March and it did nothing for the unit he reports back to A Plus Appliance that theres nothing to be done and he says his diagnostic tests come back that it is fine. Im going to post a very negative review about them. Lowes told me that if he would have reported differently they would have given me a voucher and refunded my money. So have another Appliance repairman come in tomorrow.I bought the extended warranty and so far its gotten me nowhere. As many times as Ive had to unclog it and throw away food I could have had technicians out here hundreds of times for this defective refrigerator. Plus on the two service calls I had they said that there has been numerous complaints about this model and the ice maker and freezing over. I have thrown thousands of dollars of food away over the last 2 years. Lowes extended warranty has got me nowhere.

We purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator Model Number WRS555SIHZ06 Serial Number HRA2506806 on July 15th 2021 from Lowes. First one from Lowes came off the truck damaged so working out of a cooler in the kitchen for 2 more weeks. Now 4 months later the compressor is out and all the food spoiled like $400 bucks gone and food is expensive these days. I called and Whirlpool said no food allowance and no replacement. Fridge can be brought over - so repairman will come out in 6 days and then say he has to order parts then I wait two more weeks then the repair. So 3 weeks without a fridge with the holidays coming up and people to feed and food to cook. This is going to be interesting. I hate Whirlpool Refrigerator - never again will I purchase one of this appliances. The GE I had for 12 years and no problem at all for 12 years. What is going on with these companies????

Another reviewer complained about a knocking sound upon startup. My Brand New fridge has been doing that and I have just ignored it. Maybe I shouldnt. Compared to our original Beaumark fridge, the Whirlpool is VERY NOISY.. Since the actual workings seem fine, I am not complaining but rather quite concerned.Especially after reading the numerous Negative Reviews.

Whirlpool front loader duet washer WF9400SW01 - I bought this washer brand new in 2007. The rubber ring by the door started to grow mold after 2 years, the washer collects water after wash. Water was dripping down to the drum and sit there. If I forget to check and drain it by turning on in the rinse cycle, it wets the entire floor. And it sounds like a freight train after 4 yrs when it spins. My last washer lasted 20 years and it was a whirlpool top loader. Thought I might get that with this one.. but NOT.

Ive spent more repairing this washer than what I paid for it new!!! Its really ridiculous that Whirlpool isnt more responsible for their equipment that doesnt stand up to their name! Ive replaced more things than I want to type but just to start the computer board, pump, bearings just to name a few. Each time I had my repairman out it was a minimum of $300 to repair. Ive had my repairman out 5 times to repair things. Thinking each time its cheaper to fix it than buy another which I surely didnt think I would be repairing it several time! At this point Im just sick to death that a washer that is for a home of myself and my daughter has broken down so much. I cant imagine what a family would go through. Even after all the repairs it still isnt right but Im done sinking money into this sinking ship of a washer! Its loud constantly stops due to un level so I have to move the clothes around usually having to repeat this several times before I can get the load to finish!!! Then they come out wrinkled more than they went in and I have to iron clothes. A person should NOT need to iron! May as well wash them in the river on a rock. It would be easier!!! I bought a full kitchen appliance package 3 years ago, the gas range Clock LED started cutting off the line at the top of the numbers... when the range was about 1 1/2 old... Now 3 years later the range doesnt hold its oven temperature, the cost to fix it is $230 more than what I paid for the range. Whirlpool is unwilling to stand behind their product or provide a replacement part for a reasonable price. So now I will be buying a brand new range and the 3 year old Whirlpool will be taken to the dump. I will never buy a whirlpool appliance again. I thought Whirlpool was a good brand and a reputable company until now. Please beware when buying appliances, whirlpool is not reliable or reputable.

I purchased this Whirlpool dishwasher from Sears on 3/25/2010. Then on 8/11/2012 the dishwasher completely failed to operate. I called for service and they checked it out and they found out that the control board had failed due to moisture getting into the electronic components. They replaced the control board & control panel and the dishwasher has worked until today (2/08/2014) - 17 months, and now exhibits the same problem. The original repair costs including labor was over $400. Not really acceptable and demonstrates very poor quality control and design @ Whirlpool. As of now, I am considering whether to purchase a new machine (obviously neither a Whirlpool or Sears product). As part of the original service the soap dispenser also failed and had to be replaced. I believe Whirlpool should be responsible for some of the repair costs.

Good washing machine for 3 year. 4th year onwards your repair cost starts increasing. I purchased machine for 24 k. Now my repairs costs are 25 k. Each time the service guy comes puts me a bill of 7 k and above. The complaints to Mr ** goes to deaf years as he never picks the call. Their visit charges also are more and never give warranty above 30 days. How will you feel when you have paid more money on services ce than the product. I have supporting hills for all.

This machine has had so many repairs that whirlpool should of replaced it. Now the machine is making a clicking sound when you turn it on to do a load of wash. It clicks for a few minutes then tries to sense whats in the machine then starts clicking again. Clothes come out of machine half wet. Queen sheets are dry in the middle. Water NEVER even touch the middle of the machine drum. All around nightmare with this machine. Would not buy another whirlpool because the customer service that I was given was terrible.

Whirlpool cabrio wtw7800xwo - During the 12th month of the use of this washer, the lid broke. I called Whirlpool to schedule a repair on it. I got someone here to repair it, and it was 7 days over the 1 year warranty. I don’t think this is fair when they sent the repair guy out too late when I scheduled this right before the 1 year was up. I came about looking this up online, and I find I’m not the only one with a 1 year lid. My next washer will be a 1980s built to last. This was the worst $1,100 I ever spent. I had to choose 1 star. Wish it had a choice of - ★★★★★.

I am 72 years old and this Whirlpool Energy Star HE Washing Machine is just useless. It does not clean clothes properly. It always leaves a stinky washing machine smell which never goes away despite no matter what you do. A completely useless, faulty washing machine! Never ever buy a Whirlpool HE washing machine! Some websites say that you need to buy a washer fan at a cost of $69.99 and attach it to the back of your washing machine as this is the only way you can get rid of the smell. Who has that kind of money? Why is this fan not already included in this washing machine if Whirlpool is aware of the smelly washing machine/smelly clothes problem? This is such a joke! We would like to be reimbursed for our deficient Whirlpool Washing Machine or at the very least, have a recall of this inefficient, poorly designed washing machine. My Whirlpool has been in use about three years. It was purchased on sale at a very reasonable price. My only complaint is the heat dry function which somewhat fulfills its purpose, but I usually have to hand dry some dishes. Overall, it is an average dishwasher that gets the job done. The best feature is that it is very quiet; you barely notice that it is running.

AVOID Whirlpool water heaters - Bought two 12 year warranty water heaters from Lowe’s in 2014. Model NU50T121-403 from Whirlpool. Thermocouple went out within the first 4 months. Called WP, they gave me a number to call for an authorized contractor to come out. Made certain to tell me that PARTS were covered, but not labor. $300 for the labor and two days later, hot water is back on. SAME THING happens again 6 months later, then AGAIN in Sept of this year. So 3 guys have been out to all replace the same part. This morning, hot water is out. Both tanks. Can’t keep pilot light lit. Called WP. They gave me more numbers of authorized contractors. No hot water and now I’ve got another $300 I owe to fix the SAME BROKEN PART. I wonder if this is how their last class action lawsuit got started?

Light bulb went out in the freezer. Come to find it is a led cluster with a circuit board only cost $30 to $100. Engineer should be fired. What is the reason to take simple bulb and custom bastardize into an expensive hybrid. Greed.

I find this to have perfect storage space both in the top for standard refrigerator and the bottom freezer. I would recommend this not for the style, the amount of room but also the quality. I have not been disappointed.

I have owned the Whirlpool Cabrio for one year now. I cannot express enough what a complete waste of money this machine is. It literally does not wash clothes in even the most basic interpretation of washing. Clothes are almost in the same position as when they were put in the machine. Dont even bother with stain removal, it just rubs stains in and makes them worse. Seriously beware. Very expensive and not worth one dime. Im replacing with the Maytag. I should have stayed with in the first place. I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again. Must have skipped the entire product development on this one. I wouldnt even give it a one star review but the submission wouldnt process without it. WASTE OF $$ DO NOT BUY.

My stove is good, I have gone through 2 refrigerators in less than 8 years and the replacement is having issues. Service is a joke, customer service is questionable but trying to assist but at this point will not recommend whirlpool products.

Purchased a WDF530PLYM3 Whirlpool dishwasher at Lowes in 2013. Now Ive paid $96.00 to Whirlpools authorized repairman to tell me it needs over $400.00 worth of parts (user interface and control board). He informed me with new digital controls, you MUST purchase extended warranty because they are not built to last and repairs are ridiculously expensive.

We bought this Whirlpool washer dryer set last year and extended warranty. 7 weeks ago the washer stopped working. I have spent around 60 hours so far trying to get the washer fixed. Have talked to the repair shop as well customer care up and down the chain. 5 visits so far by technicians and still not fixed. Customer care people promise to call back w/update but never do. We were going to buy LG but bought this to give business to an American company. Now our patriotism is bearing fruit. Customer care blames AIG (service contractor) and Whirlpool say that they can’t manage AIG. At the end of our rope with constant trips to laundromats. Have no idea if it will ever be fixed. So frustrating to see the name of Whirlpool tarnished to this extent. Nobody seems to be in charge and everybody passes the buck. Whirlpool is a shameful example of a company that deserves to go out of business.

Broke within a year, company wouldnt back its product. Went out for another range, chose a different brand. Make sure you know the companys policy in case of breakdown. Sometimes, even though it might be an off brand, might turn out to be the option. Think outside your norm, listen to employee, other consumers. Just because its on sale doesnt mean it actually does its job.

If I could give half a star, I would. I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher. Once installed, it leaked immediately. Thinking it is best to call Whirlpool for repairs under warranty, they decided to send out a technician from A&E Factory Repair. This is where the service sucks.A&E needed me to wait about 2 weeks for the first available appointment for service. When the technician arrived and pulled out the dishwasher, he told me that he would not repair it because he didnt like where the hose was installed through the cabinet. He insisted that only after the hose was moved, they would return to fix the leak if it was still an issue.Of course, the hose was then moved and the machine still leaks. So, I called A&E back to schedule another service call. I was again told that the next available service call was 2 weeks out.Now, the day before the service call, I receive a phone call from A&E, telling me that they have to reschedule the service call that is supposed to be for tomorrow. Once again, the earliest next available appointment is another week out.If it was now not past the original 30 days to be able to return the item to Lowes, I would have already done that. By the time the first A&E service call happened, it was already past the 30 days in which I could have returned it to Lowes.I will never purchase Whirlpool again simply because they use A&E service center.

I have purchased in the past all Whirlpool appliances all at the same time. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, microwave and I have had issues with every product after the first year, from plastic parts failing. That should have been made out of metal, to motherboard replacement. I work Hard for my Money, and when I need to buy a new appliance, I want truth in advertisement of what I am spending MY MONEY on. I would like a product that is built to last!!! If whirlpool cannot offer this we need to COMPLAIN all over the Internet until whirlpool changes their design and uses better parts for their products. My $2000 Whirlpool oven broke after only 2 years. Whirlpool only stands by their product for 12 months because they have no faith in their own product. They want me now to reward them with more money to purchase a years warranty.

This new oven came with my house. I like the oven but hate the aqua clean feature. It is impossible to get the grease off. I cant reach the back sides or the back. I scrub with all my might on parts I can reach but the baked on grease is back with the next use. The aqua clean feature is only good for light spills on the bottom. I like a clean oven. I am now looking to replace a practically new oven which will run me about $2000.00 which I am not happy about. I highly recommend the high heat cleaning feature ovens. I also developed a pitting area on the bottom the size of a quarter & I dont know how that occurred. Buyer beware of aqua cleaning features.

Aqualift self clean oven??? I followed the directions on how to clean my oven. I wiped and scraped out spilled residue from the oven. Then started the cleaning process. The sides of the oven were not cleaned even when I wiped them with a damp cloth. Scrubbing and scraping with the tools that came with the oven helped somewhat. The bottom of the oven was not cleaned. I had to continually scrub and scrape to get it looking half clean and even then, there were still spots that would not clean away. I would have preferred an oven that uses oven cleaner, it gets the oven much cleaner and with less scrubbing on my part. All in all I am very dissatisfied with the oven and would never recommend it.

Whirlpool Gold Series Dishwasher Model # WDT710PAYM6 - Purchased this dishwasher in July, 2014. Last week the dishwasher powered off mid cycle. Could not power back up. Tried a few suggestions found online to reset which did not work. I had both a plumber and an electrician look at it. All water lines were fine and power coming in and out of dishwasher and control panel was checked and all looked okay to electrician, but could not get the machine to power up. No longer under warranty. Very dissatisfied there is no recourse.

Bought this washer in 2013 for close to $800. About a year and half old it got real loud sounds like a freight train. Asked whirlpool repairman about it, and was told it is a main bearing going out. He said it would cost over $500 to fix it. Whirlpool warranty sucks - only one year. Called whirlpool, told them the problem and asked if this is a problem with this washer. Got told no they have no problems with it. Found out later not only do they have this problem with it they change design because of it. Repairman said his own daughter had same problem and he had many service calls on this model all with same problem. WHIRLPOOL WILL NOT REPAIR OR REPLACE PRODUCT WHICH IS A MANUFACTURE DEFAULT. It sets in our house unusable. I will never buy a whirlpool product again. Sad because that use to be all I would buy.

I purchased this machine from Sears on 04/23/2016 and have had nothing but problems and issues with it. It is loud and makes different sounds every time I use it. It has overfilled and underfilled with water a few times, the machine shuts down while washing and I have had to restart the machine. Half the time the clothes come out covered in soap and I have to put them through another rinse cycle. My bedding always has to either go through a second rinse cycle due to being covered in soap or I have to rewash it because it is all packaged together in the fitted sheet and never got washed. During the spin cycle it sounds like it is getting ready launch into outer space and it vibrates excessively. On numerous occasions I have had to untie my clothes as they are tied in knots. There have been times that I had to put the clothes through another spin cycle because the clothes contained too much water. The final straw was last week (03/27/2019). I washed my sheets and they came out bundled up in the fitted sheet full of soap stains and I had to rewash them. When the sheets were done I put the comforter in the wash and started to clean the house. When I went into the laundry room the washer was not running but the wash light was on so I opened the lid and felt the comforter and found it to be dry. I closed the lid and pushed the start button. After a few seconds the washer shifted to rinse without even washing the comforter. When the washer stopped running and the ready light came on I removed the comforter, unplugged the machine, shut off the water, disconnected the water hoses, placed the machine on a dolly and took it to my scrap pile. I could not find any Whirlpool washers with any good reviews so I purchased a Speed Queen with a 5 year parts and labor warranty.

I am so disappointed, angry and tired! Unfortunately, I listened to the salesperson regarding this feature and bought it hook, line and sinker! The Aqualift self clean system is a joke! It only cleans the bottom of the oven and that is after you mop up the water left in the bottom and scrub it. No amount of scrubbing even touches the sides, back or window, even after using the Aqualift feature 3 times! I spent hundreds of dollars only to be down on my hands and knees scrubbing to no avail. I have not seen 1 good review regarding this system. Shame on me for believing a salesperson and shame on me for not researching first. I will not make this mistake again!

Whirlpool fridge with serial # EL2427127 started on fire. Flame started on own but filled entire basement with electrical fire smoke. All terminals on compressor completely melted off. After researching online, I see Im not the first. Unbelievable.

After buying the best washer and dryer out there, I have found out that they are not. Thank you Whirlpool for taking my $2000 and giving me a junk. I know that you do not care one bit. Never again.

We had a dishwasher, lasted 2 years; range with cook-top, within 2 years computer had to be replaced and again in another 2 years. Needless to say we did not replace either one with a Whirlpool. Over the range Microwave Oven Magnetron blows in 5 years. 3 months over the warranty. In a call to Whirlpool we were told we are sorry you have had all this trouble, we will send a repair man out and he can replace the parts needed. Thanks, but no thanks and went out and purchased a Samsung model, probably cheaper than the repairs would have cost us. There are so many good appliances to choose from. Please stay away from any Whirlpool products, no need for additional aggravation.

I have a Whirlpool stove. Theres nothing but problems with the oven sensor. This is the 3rd time we have to replace it. It had problems ever since I bought and thats been 11 years ago. My Magic Chef lasted 13 years with no problems. I have a Whirlpool microwave that had a recall on it. Never buy Whirlpool!

In July 2012 I purchased refrig, ed2khaxvb (model #). By Oct. 2014, after numerous service calls to unplug ice blocking chute, an ENTIRE door was factory ordered and DELIVERED. Feb 2015, A&E service installed new door. Later that day, I opened the freezer door which had insufficient suction and ice is again sliding down the chute to the floor. The stress this has caused me (87 yrs old). Case #, phone and ref..nos. could fill a book. PLEEEZE HELP. What can I do???? Ty.

After reading all reviews online on the lid of the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer, it upsets me that there has not been a recall on this. Our lid has snapped & has to be held down until the lock light comes on. Often times during the cycle it must sense the lid is broken & thinks it is not locked & sets the load off line. I have to pause the load & then reset the load & hold the lid down tight until it restarts.

DO NOT BUY ANY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS! After purchasing a dishwasher in April 2017, it died after a year. The subsequent years have been filled with waiting all day for service repairs 6 times and living without a dishwasher for up to a week at a time. After 6 services the product continues to malfunction. They are refusing to replace the item and now inform us that we must pay to have it serviced. I cannot stress enough that no one should purchase any products from Whirlpool as they are sub-par products and they do not stand behind their products.

I would say that the Whirlpool refrigerator is overall satisfactory and a good product. The size accommodates our refrigerator needs. Would recommend product to my friends and family.

Purchased WP fridge, stove, and dishwasher at the same time. All were the gold series. At 20 months, freezer stopped cooling. WP would not cover the repair. Refrigerator has been noisy from day one. This company does not care about their customers.

We bought the Cabrio washer and dryer on June 2008, and it wasnt very long after that, that we had to have a repair done. Then, it started twisting the clothes and the sheets into a big knot. Two king size sheets and 2 pillow cases got so twisted that they are no bigger than a watermelon, and believe me, they are very hard to untangle when they are soaking wet. The machine in the drying cycle sounds like a commercial jet taking off. We can hardly talk above the roar of that thing. I hate it with a passion. Whirlpool used to be all we bought, but that is going to change.Linda

Twelve years ago we bought an LPG Whirlpool range for our new home in Rio Rancho, NM. About 5 years ago, a tenant at our home reported a gas leak and the propane company determined that the Whirlpool range was at fault. The dealer in Albuquerque repaired the leak, by replacing all the valves at a cost of $470. A week ago, after a propane fill, once again, at least one valve was found to be leaking. Apparently, Whirlpool does not know how to make a valve that holds up over time. Over a 7 year period, I paid almost double the cost of the stove, only having to replace it at 12 years. These stoves are DANGEROUS! I will not purchase another Whirlpool product for the rest of my life.

Just bought what I thought was going to be a great dishwasher. It had all the features I wanted. But, I discovered that none of my silverware would fit in the slots provided in the silverware basket. It is a disaster. The slots are so tiny that most of them are unusable. I called Whirlpool thinking that surely there was another basket I could substitute, but no, there isnt. Everyone was very polite, but the end result is that the Ill be handwashing most of our silverware. Unless your silverware has very narrow handles, forget this machine. Obviously designed by someone who has never loaded a dishwasher!

I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio in November 2009. I am just four months shy of the two-year mark and it is dead! I paid a lot for the machine because I thought it was worth the investment. It was not mistreated in any way! The problem is in the computer part of the machine.Everyone knows that to have a repair person come out is costly in itself, add to that repairs and parts, and it isnt worth it to fix an appliance most of the time. I will never purchase Whirlpool again. Never. I could have bought three cheap machines for this one Whirlpool, and had a couple of backups in the event that one quit on me! If you want clean clothes dont buy this machine(Cabrio Washer)! First of all I find that my clothes have dry spot on them when I pull them out of the machine. Whirlpools response is that the machine spins at such a high rate that the cloth will actually seem dry. Doesnt make sense to me that a shirt that has another garment on top of it gets dry in an unexposed area. I have also been told to always use the high water setting. This helps but the clothes still are not clean. Also my dark slacks come out with residue lines on them - Whirlpools solution; never wash anything in cold water. In addition the machine is very noisy. It sounds like the water pipes are being kicked out of the wall. And forget about washing a king size comforter as advertised, a twin comforter doesnt get clean or even thoroughly wet and residue lines are left behind. Hate this machine! So glad I didnt buy the extended warranty since my attempts to have them stand behind this product have failed. I feel the money would be better used towards a different brand.

We purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum W10405142B washer and dryer just over 3 years ago. We decided to go back to the top load as we were having so many issues with odor from our front load. We purchased the set at a Sears store in Timmins Ontario and we’re quite confident that we were getting an excellent product. From day 1 we have had issues with having to rewash our clothes. We have lint and white streaks on the clothes as if we were using powdered detergent and they are all tangled. We have always used HE liquid and at one point I switched to soap nuts to get rid of using chemicals. We have now changed to pods and still have issues. When the washer is spinning it is deafening. You can hear it outside for goodness sakes. It sounds like it is about to take off and fly.The cycles are ridiculously long. For a quick cycle the other day and a very small load it took 72 minutes... how is that quick? When the wash is done my clothes are all tangled up and are stretching things out of shape. I am careful what goes in my washer and how large my load is. I know not to wash sheets or towels when I am not home as they will eventually be unbalanced and have Sat all day in the washer only to have another hour of washing when I get home. We are currently doing some work in our home and pulled out the washer. The floor has a rust circle from God knows what. I will attach a picture. The lid not longer closes. I have to hold it down until it locks and it still pops up a wee bit.I do not understand why I am responsible for purchasing a new set when the product I bought should have lasted and not caused damage to my clothes or my flooring. How do we as consumers make the manufacturers responsible for things like this. If nothing else the appliances should be removed from my home by the Company and I should be reimbursed for damages and the cost of a new set. I will continue to look for my receipt as I keep everything and I am unsure what is meant by order #.

I have a Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher. I would recommend this dishwasher. It is large enough to hold dirty dishes for a family of four. It is a little loud but not that bothersome. It is stainless steel but I don’t have a lot of fingerprint smears and stains.

This is a good size fridge/freezer with double doors 25.4 cu ft, its given us good service for 13 yrs without any problems. My only complaint that I wish it was more quiet. (Whirlpool brand) double doors, ice maker w/ water and lights.

Whirlpool Duet Steam Washing Machine WFW9500TW had F35/Suds code 14 months after we purchased the washer. Hose / air trap is clear and the hose from the analog pressure switch is connected properly. The appliance tech we had come out to look at the washer determined that the analog pressure switch was defective. He told us that this is a common problem with this washing machine. Whirlpool supervisor, Michael (female), stated that they could send a tech out - and charge us for the call - to diagnose the problem. She refused to transfer me to someone who could help and couldnt comprehend that the its out of warranty excuse isnt a proper defense for a product defect. There are many posts about Analog Pressure Switch problems with this washing machine.The posts about Whirlpools poor customer service are absolutely accurate. They are horrible - good luck in getting them to work with you. We read the reviews for the Whirlpool Duet Steam washing machine before purchasing one and we disregarded the bad ones as disgruntled customers. Please do not make the same mistake we made. After my conversation with their customer service dept today, I will never buy another Whirlpool product again. Defective parts happen. Refusing to fix a known problem is unacceptable.

This is a comment for the person with the ice maker problem. I have a side-by-side, in-door ice dispenser that clogs up. First sign of problem is either the ice wont come out or it comes out crushed. What happens is frost builds up in the path the ice takes at a couple of different points. The only solution I have found is as soon as the problem starts I turn off the ice maker using the switch on the inside of the freezer. Then let it empty with normal use (if you wait too long youve increased your problems). The release button for the ice bin has frozen by now so you cant just lift it out. The bin needs to be empty. When it is empty, work the bin loose and take it out. Youll find that frost and maybe cubes have collected, frozen and blocked the passage. Be sure to turn the ice bin on its side and spray water into the undercarriage to melt and remove all the ice build up there. I use a hot sponge to melt the frost in the ice tube and then dry everything. This gets messy so be prepared to have water on the floor. Dry the ice bin and reinstall it. Ice cubes will be ready to drop from the ice maker so it wont be long until you have plenty. I live in Florida with high humidity so need to go through this process about once a month. Its a pain, but now it is just part of owning this unit. Good luck and hope this helps.

We purchased a 4 piece set of Whirlpool kitchen appliances and have minor to major problems with 3 out of the 4. We had problems with our gas range/oven from the start. When I called to register the brand new range they told me it had been previously registered to someone else and they made me fax my receipt to them proving that the appliance was purchased new. Lowes said it was brand new in the box when I purchased it leading me to believe Whirlpool tried to pass off a refurbished product onto Lowes and then onto us. No surprise when the stove stopped working 3 times in barely over a year. It was so defective Lowes ended up replacing it for us. Not Whirlpool... they only argued with me about how the third time it was out of warranty and offered no help in fixing or replacing the defective oven. Now our ice maker just stopped dispensing ice 7 days after our warranty expired on our refrigerator model # WRS586FLDM00. Whirlpool will only agree to cover parts and is sticking us with the service call and labor! And thats not all... the plastic coating on the dishwasher racks started coming off exposing rusty metal when it was barely over a year old and I have received a postcard indicating there is a lawsuit involving our model for overheating and fire events! Now waiting for that to be our next issue. I am so disgusted with Whirlpool. We bought Whirlpool appliances believing they were quality products. They are quite the opposite. Wish I had researched their reputation and history of complaints before buying. Do not recommend Whirlpool Brand. Sincerely, Disgusted in California

Ive had nothing but problems with the Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine and dryer. The motherboard has been replaced three times, once on the dryer and twice on the washing machine. The inside of the washing machine is going to fall apart because of the rust at the bleach holder. I saw some of the complaints. Is there any way we (consumers) can sue Whirlpool for selling defective units? We are from all across America and there is no way we should all have the same complaint. The stores that are selling us these items should be held accountable. Also the only thing Im getting from them is, Theres nothing we can do. PLEASE DO NOT BUT WHIRLPOOL WASHERS AND DRYERS!!!!

Bought it less than 2 months ago. It doesnt wash. It doesnt spend. It works every 2-3 hours if Im lucky. Its the worst product ever. Its not like it was refurbished. It was brand new. Smh. I thought it would save me money by buying a washer. Off to the laundromat I go. I do not recommend this product especially to someone who has a family and on a budget.

I am having the very same problem with my french door stainless steel Whirlpool gold refrigerator. Water pooling in the bottom of freezer, freezing into a solid sheet and then leaking onto the floor. It is less than 2 years old. Apparently, this is a significant defect in this problem seeing how so many people are having the same problem with the same fridge. Has anyone reported to BBB? Im thinking class action lawsuit. Im getting ready to have to repair my kitchen floors as a result of this defect. I will be talking to my brother-in-law attorney about this and will post his response/recommendation. Whirlpool should stand behind their product and make this right.

Purchased new home with Whirlpool appliances installed Aug 21/17. Six months ago, I noticed that when I opened the door to the microwave over my range, the light flickered. A few months ago, intermittently, stopped working, now, not working. After reading the reviews, I am having the same problems other consumers are having. DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS! DONT BUY!

Purchased top loading Whirlpool Washer WTW5000DW0 10/12/2015 at Best Buys, first no agitator machine for us. Two weeks later I call for repair service because of the noise from tub. Explained in other reviews as earthquake or jet engines. The machine is in the garage and can be heard through the walls into the house. Repair tells this is normal for the machine and it must be our first none agitator machine.I then purchased a extended warranty policy through Whirlpool. 12/13/2016 machine no longer washing clothes. Call Whirlpool for service. Repair came out 01/17/2017 (a month later). Washer plate had to be replaced. The gear was completely shredded. Not in stock, waited 2 weeks to get repaired. Tension springs on outer tub replaced at same time. Was told the excessive grinding and bumping of the tub was not the reason for the gear shredding.06/30/2017 same problem, I set a repair date 07/01/2017 between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. No one shows and no call. I call Whirlpool and they are sorry and set the appointment the same day for before 5:00 p.m. No one shows our calls. I call back. Already closed. I call the next day. Sets a new date 07/05/2017, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Same problem. I called back speak to a supervisor who says hell get to problem and find out whats wrong. Sets a new date 07/08/2017 8:00 to 12:00 p.m. 07/07/2017 I get a call after 5:00 p.m. that the repairman is not available and can we reset for 07/13/2017. I hung up and called back the next day and spoke to a supervisor I had previously spoke with. He called an outside repair company that Whirlpool uses in this area. New date 07/12/2017. Repairman shows and I explain the washer plate was loose again and I smelled metal burning. I had told my wife to continue to use the machine to wash the clothes. The repairman tells me I voided the warranty by doing this. Im standing in the garage while he has his head in the machine trying to get the washer plate out. He shuts the lid and turns the machine on wash/spin says the machine is ok. We have an exchange of words and tell him I want to see the washer plate gears. He says he cant get the plate out now and I wasnt there for him to show it to me. This continued until he forced the plate off. He called Tech Support to say I voided the warranty. He told them customer claims loud noises and banging. I asked to speak to Tech but he tells me they dont speak with the customer. I looked at the gears on the washer plate and the transmission. Both had metal shavings. He tells me he is going to do me a favor and replace both. Its supposed to take a week. Wait and see. I have asked for a replacement or money for the machine through Whirlpool. I was told there has to be at least 4 repair requests for the same problem and the repairman has to determine that there is a problem or that its a lemon. I will not recommend or purchase another Whirlpool product.

The washer has rust under the rim in the inside - also the paint is bubbling and peeling under the rim of the washer. I contacted Whirlpool and was told that is a cosmetic problem. There is no warranty for rust or peeling paint. I will never buy another Whirlpool washer. I paid over $700.00 for this washer and I dont think I should have a rust problem after 5 years.

We purchased this Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine from Sears about four, maybe five years ago and have complained repeatedly. We have had repairmen out numerous times. Of course, they have had to order parts. My clothes are not getting clean and they now have an odor to them. The machine is getting noisier and noisier and it is rocking like crazy (I had to put plyboard underneath to protect the floor) during the rinse cycle. The water sprays out erratically and sprays even slower for cold water, then warm water, which was weird! Thankfully, I still have it under warranty (I got the extended warranty). I am now getting ready to call them again. I will never buy this brand again.

Since my review I have been corresponding with Whirlpool Customer Service (Chris). First he sent me an email and mailed a replacement board to have us (the homeowner) install. Because the cover was so melted, the replacement board would not fit down into it. I emailed pictures to Chris. Once he saw the pictures, he called me and arranged for the water heater to be replaced since it was still under warranty. He even extended the authorization code so we would have plenty of time to arrange for a plumber to do the work. We had to pay for the plumber, but Whirlpool arranged for us to have a new water heater. Now I can sleep at night without worrying that my house would burn down if the old water heater caught fire. Chris was GREAT to work with. I had a direct number to him and called any time I had a question. I was very impressed with Whirlpools Customer Service.

Our dishwasher stopped working after 13 months. We are a family of 2 and use it once a week. We called Whirlpool and were told since it is past 12 months, they would do nothing but give us the name of a repairman in the area. We called our own repairman and $120 later, the sensor that had malfunctioned was replaced. Quite costly on a $450 dishwasher. Now, after 15 months, the handle on the lower broiler portion of my Range has come off and the screws will not hold because the plastic around them deteriorated. I just called customer service once again, knowing what I would be told and YES was told So sorry, nothing we can do. A new handle will be $45 plus shipping. We bought the refrigerator at that same time and every day, I wait for this appliance to have issues. In summary, Whirlpool/Maytag appliances are obviously made to be disposable after 12 months. They do not stand behind their products and I would not recommend them to anyone.

I purchased a brand new 2019 Whirlpool side by side refrigerator in October of 2019 for my new house. Yes, that was 2.5 years ago. HOWEVER, I live alone and hardly ever use the ice dispenser. Maybe, it was used 20 times in 2 years. The ice dispenser just stopped working and today I notice the refrigerator is not even making ice! What a piece of garbage!

Whirlpool Gas Range model GW397LXUB1 is a lemon. We bought our house new in 2008, and it came with Whirlpool Gold package appliances. Within a year, the console buttons quit working for the oven, and we had our warranty fix the console. Within another year, it happened again, and then again last November and now again this week. This range is obviously defective, yet the only solution was to buy for $350, a one-year warranty from Whirlpool. I asked if they had any sort of redress or rebate if we bought another unit, which they reported no. So I looked online for other people who have had similar issues, and counted at least 75. So this company knows they sold defective units, but wont stand behind them without substantial cost. All this simply assures me is that Whirlpool is NOT a stand-up company, and I can assure you that Ill never purchase any product from them again.

I join the many who have posted about the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer cracked lid issue. Our Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7800XW2 glass-lid washer suffered the same (inevitable) fate – cracked plastic on the lid at the hinge stress points, after the washer was beyond warranty. Same story - runaround/no help from Whirlpool. Finally bit the bullet and shelled out the $200 for a new lid. HOWEVER, I didnt want to just replace it and have the same issue down the road. I removed the spring-loaded units that support the hinges, hoping to just remove the springs to release the pressure. I found that the springs are integral to holding all the components together in this unit. These are extremely heavy-duty extension springs, so I took them to my hardware store (TrueValue) and found springs the exact same length, but with a smaller wire diameter and thus requiring less force to extend. I replaced the original springs with these (Century Spring Corp. - #C-143 - 9/16”x3”x.054”). The lid operates perfectly, and now there is very little resistance at the hinge stress point. The only difference is there is no longer a “damping” effect when lowering the lid - it must be lowered manually rather than being allowed to fall on its own. That’s a small correction in habit, but will ensure that the replacement lid lasts for the life of the washer.

I have a Whirlpool Gold convection self clean oven. I have now purchased the fourth fuse in the past four years, which is the last time. I will never buy Whirlpool products again. The only fix is to order fuse before cleaning oven.

Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washer - The seal on the top of the drum is breaking down. It is cracking at the bleach and soap dispenser. Somewhere in the washer drum or plate is causing holes and cuts in the clothes. The machine is only 2 years old.

We live in Hawaii, so the price for our stacking closet size unit was exorbitant. It was over $1,000.00. It is small so the size of loads are small too. We bought one that is supposed to sense the load size and deliver the correct amount of water. It does NOT do this. Reviews online show complaints of this same nature. It does clean well but we have to do very small loads to get that.

I will NEVER purchase another product from this company again. They seemingly left a faulty product on the market and failed to inform me about the known issue. Then they failed to quickly provide needed repair or replacement in a timely manner. They also refuse to reimburse me for the food loss, which would not have ever occurred had they handled the issue appropriately from the beginning. TERRIBLE company. In addition, since Lowes is aware of the reputation of this company and continue to sell their defective products... I will not be shopping at Lowes anymore! Both this companies should NOT be in business!!!

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer combo. Recently, I have learned that the washer has a very common problem with the water pump. I have read amazing amount of complaints about this problem and apparently the company has nothing to say about this. The cost for parts and labor for replacing this pump is about $400.00, almost half the cost of the unit. This is unreal!

I purchased washer (Whirlpool Cabrio wtw5600xwg) on April Fools Day 2011. The first repair was check on 1-27-12. I complained the machine was too loud and clothes seemed too wet - the call was under warranty but tech was unable to verify complaint. So guess what? On Jan. 21, 2013, machine sounds like a stressed jet engine. Now we are diagnosed with a bad gear case for a total repair of $439. Now we are not under warranty and Whirlpool takes no responsibility. Doesnt the consumer have any rights? Do you think Ill buy Whirlpool again?

Whirlpool Cabrio HE washer - Purchased my set in 2007. Has not worked properly most of the time we have owned. Lid locks our clothes in when the machine malfunctions and we have to barter with the machine for hours of Google suggestions to get the clothes back out. Still dirty. Or still soaking wet, not spun. Ive never seen so many error codes from one machine. I would never purchase this brand again. The only pro is the load size, which trust me - we have spent more time, water, energy & $$$ with the washer not properly working than the large capacity has saved us.

I bought an whirlpool stove from conn store in 2007. The oven hasnt work right since day one. They send different people out to service it - still dont work the right. We smell gas when we try to light it. It wont come on 90 percent of the time, sometime we have wait a while to start it. They refuse to exchange from day one, we cant afford to throw our money away so we do more top cooking than bottom.

I have had our new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer for about a year. I absolutely hate it. I along with all the other people that is complaining about their Cabrio. I have found it to stain my clothes, not get them clean... Sometimes not even get part of them wet. I wash every load now no matter how small on the deep water option. I still have to add about 3 to 6 gals of water after it fills to try to help them get as clean as I possible can. I have stopped using fabric softener because I believe that is what may be leaving the stains on the clothes because it doesnt dilute it. Also you cant soak clothes in the washer long enough. I know it offers a presoak but when the clothes are not getting wet... That is not soaking. I tried to fill it up and raise the lid so it wouldnt wash until I was ready for it to wash but it automatically emptied the tub after a short time.It is funny watching the clothes when washing... Even I could tell they were not going to be washed well. I thought who in the world developed this washer. Certainly no one that had ever really considered what women need to wash clothes on a daily basis. I would sell it but I dont think anyone would buy it. If there is a class action suit I would consider joining in. Whirlpool could not have spent much effort in checking this washer out. A lot of money down the drain. I did not buy the dryer because of the lint vent being on top of it. What a mess those make when you have to empty it. So I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL. Now that is a wonderful dryer! As one homemaker to another I suggest you check it out. Never had one I liked more.

WTW5640X The machine is tearing up clothes of many including mine. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought I had over-loaded the machine. Not so. There has been nothing run through the machine other than clothes and bedding. When I called for service 1 1/2 months after warranty is out of date I am told I can have a service call including parts and labor and another year warranty for almost $400. If it werent for the numerous reports online of the machine doing the same to others I might have gone for it. Shame on you Whirlpool. Are you the next GM?

We purchased our Whirlpool french door refrigerator with bottom freezer, model number WRF990SLAM02, from Lowes in August 2013. In November 2013 we noticed a pool of water on the floor, resulting from what looked like a leak coming from the ice maker. After contacting customer service, they sent a repair company to service the fridge. This rep stayed no longer than 5 minutes and barely looked at the appliance. He said this is a known issue by the company, they have since implemented a fix in the newer models, and it just needed one replacement part and would be good as new. It did NOT fix the problem, it continued to worsen to the point where the freezer is no longer working. I have a freezer full of defrosted food that is not safe to eat. Whirlpool finally agreed (after 3 months) to send another repair company to look at the fridge. This rep took over an hour thoroughly examining the appliance and concluded that it could not be repaired and would need to be replaced; otherwise, we could expect the same issue to keep recurring. Whirlpool did agree to replace the fridge, but has not been able to provide a timeframe. I was contacted by a representative from the product replacement line named Alisha, but she has never answered her phone I have returned her calls. I finally got a representative on the line who informed me I need to wait until I get a call letting me know the replacement product is in-stock. That was 3 weeks ago, and this morning I woke up to a huge water leak coming from the fridge. Whirlpool has deflected the issue off to Lowes, where I purchased it, and said they will have no further contact with me regarding the appliance. I will NEVER purchase another product from this company again. They seemingly left a faulty product on the market and failed to inform me about the known issue. I am writing to inform you of my dissatisfaction with the Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer I purchased in December of 2011. The model and serial numbers are YWED94HEXL0/M12602088 and WFW94HEXL2/c12350046. After using them for several months, I have found that the performance of the washer and dryer to be poor. I find the clothes do not come out very clean. I used my mother-in-law’s GE washer to compare and found that the clothes came out much cleaner in her washer. I was astonished at the difference. The white clothes, especially, were so much cleaner than in my washer in which white clothes, especially, come out looking like they have not even been washed. I am unhappy with the dryer as well, which continues to shrink my clothes a lot. I am distraught with this situation as this was a big purchase for me. I believe the quality of the washer and dryer is simply poor and I would like an exchange with a better quality set which actually cleans my clothes. I rely heavily on my washer/dryer as I have three young boys who go through a lot of clothes. Please let me know what can be done on your end. Thank you kindly.

I purchased a top load Whirlpool washer from Lowes 2-8-12. It got so it wouldnt rinse. When it came to that cycle, it just skipped it and went directly to spin. I dont know how long it was doing this before I caught it. A repairman came out said I would need the equivalent of a motherboard that would cost $330.00. Needless to say, couldnt afford that amount for repair. So I purchased a very nice used Amana for $100.00. I always thought Whirlpool was a top of the line product. This has changed my mind. If it wont last any longer than 5 years I dont want it. There are just the two of us and we are retired so the machine was not overused. I am so disappointed and angry about this.

Our 2005 whirlpool duet washer steel drum and plastic tub broke. My husband diagnosed the problem and opted to fix it to save money. The parts are under warranty but you still pay labor and technician visit running up to $250-$300. The plastic tub was obtained only if we paid for it $100 and the steel drum they sent under warranty. The plastic tub has a hole with a black plug and sensor in it. There is a discrepancy in the measurement of the old tub and new tubs hole that is slightly larger, therefore when installed a steady stream of water leaks out. I now have 3 plastic tubs as that was their solution, to send more of the same that did not measure correctly. An investigation was done to determine they were the correct parts. As asked we had a whirlpool technician come to verify parts were correct and being installed correctly and the parts sent would not fix the machine due to the hole discrepancy. Many calls were made to whirlpool and they continue to give me the runaround. They now are not taking their technicians information. The technician has given the information to 3 sales reps in the new england area and made several phone calls to whirlpool and no one is willing to give us a solution.

My mother has had this stove (Whirlpool Accubake) about 3 years. She does little cooking. On June 24, 2015, herself clean activated, probably for a few days, this is normally 850 degrees. She is 84, does nothing with this stove, certainly not knowing how to hit the clean button and HOLD the Start button for 3 seconds... this caused the stove to billow smoke out of the oven and encompass her entire home. No fire, but was caught in time. The fire department had to pry open the door as it would not unlock.

We been having the same issues as all of the people that have consumed the water heater. We have replaced the pilot more than 3 times and other parts of this water heater! Well, we are a family of 9 and the only way we can shower is by heating up water like everyone that has the same issue.So I would never recommend this (Whirlpool) water heater to anyone!

My Whirlpool refrigerator is more than a year old but have been complaining forever it seems. The serial # is 21142009, model WRT777REYWOO. All bottom cords etc. is out and 3 times I had people come out to fix and it never changed. The lettuce drawers freeze and in the freezer leaves ice cream pretty soft. I am so upset about this, and cannot afford a different one, no matter what brand because I paid around $1,000 for it and I am low income (my ss), 73, and disabled. But Whirlpool refrigerators are not worth buying if this is the standard policy to ignore their responsibility here. It leaks water from freezer to meat compartment, and I could go on but seems hopeless. My sister in Oregon had the same one and they took hers out finally so she could apply that amount to a different brand which has no problems.

Whirlpool’s WFG505M0BS is a reliable gas range. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles (no self-cleaning mode or convection oven), but it’s also not priced as such. If you’re looking for an appliance that’s sleek, smartly designed, and quick to heat up, it won’t disappoint.

We get the error code F1 in the start of the cycle and when there is 21 minutes left, we have to stop and reset at least 7 times before the water fills. We put a new sensor in for over $200. The second problem is it goes off balance no matter what the load is. I was going to have it fixed (if possible). After reading all the above I wont waste any more money on it and go buy an old fashioned reliable washer. What a piece of money sucking machine especially when I dont have any extra money to waste down the drain. I wish I knew before. There are a lot of people this time of year I would have rather given the money for a needy cause. How disappointed we are with Whirlpool!

We purchased a Whirlpool side by side from Lowes and an extended warranty. Immediately maybe a month the ice maker froze. Ice container in the door. Repairman said design is notorious for this problem. This was an ongoing problem. They replaced icemaker and it continued. Finally the warranty people told me it could be deemed a lemon if repaired for the same issue 4 times in a year. They deemed it a LEMON and I received a store credit for the purchase price less the warranty amount. I purchased a new LG French door. No issues and its been 5 years. If you have an extended warranty do some checking on the lemon.

This washer is less than a year old. From the start it was horrible. I was told to call a repairman who came and charged me $200 and still the thing doesnt work. I have never hated an inanimate object like I hate this machine. Oh, and the dishwasher also made by Whirlpool and also new, leaks! I will never ever ever buy anything made by this company. It should be a crime punishable by imprisonment to sell such garbage. But they keep offering me service contracts for $395 to come take a look. Thieves.

This is the second time since I have had the fridge in September 2011. I had to have a new compressor installed about two months ago, and now, it is doing the same thing again. I had lost all my food before and its happening again. Last time, it took over three weeks before the fridge got fixed.

The stove started having problems about 5 months after I bought it new, it had a 1 year warranty on it so the first repair was covered but it begun to have the same problem a few months after the repair. By the time I contacted the company they told me the warranty was expired and ask if I wanted to buy another year of coverage for $300, of course I said no. I repaired it myself and once again it worked for a few months and now the problem came back. Will not heat up so dont waste your money.

On its 1st year, the water pump went out. It cost $200.00 to replace it. On its 2nd year, the circuit board went out, and it took $300.00+ to replace it. On its 5th year, the bearings went out and cost $250.00 to replace it. I bought this for $900.00, and I already have paid $750.00 plus the price of purchase which makes this washer $1,600.00. Whirlpool should compensate all of us who have worked hard and have purchased this product! I will never purchase from Whirlpool again. I can’t afford them. I should get a refund from Whirlpool. We bought a new Whirlpool counter depth side by side stainless steel refrigerator in January 2012. We have had 7 service calls because things were freezing on the top shelf. They installed a new part and it still froze. They told us to do dumb stuff at Whirlpool like turn the temp up, dont use the top shelf, etc. The money they want for these appliances and you should put a band aid on it to make it function properly? Duh? The final fix was to duct tape the vents to allow less air flow. This appliance should have been recalled. I have since read reviews and it is an ongoing problem. Before buying, do your homework and make sure the other brands are not manufactured by Whirlpool. The Whirlpool hotline for problems is not that service friendly, they have an attitude. I need to replace two more appliances and they will not be Whirlpool. The repair service was great but they are independent companies, not Whirlpool. How do you fix a lemon? Consumers need to be aware of this. Whirlpool would rather spend money on repairs that did not work instead of replacing the appliance. If you want 7 or more repair visits and no results, buy Whirlpool.

Wish there was a no stars. This is the second refrigerator in 3 yrs or less. Had first one for less than 8 months before it stopped working. Needed to be replaced and now second one made it a little over a year and now just stopped working. Washers were also garbage and I’ve been slowly buying all new appliances with other brands. I’ll never buy a single Whirlpool product ever again.

I purchased a Whirlpool Washing Machine in November, 2015 and today, I had a repair person out who said the bearing had ruptured and the washing machine cannot be repaired - 2 1/2 years later. Contacted Whirlpool Customer Service who would do nothing other than try to explain to me that I should have purchased an extended warranty as they could not stand behind the machine past the one year. Would not even offer sending a tech out on their dime to confirm what my repairman had said that this is a failed production process of these machines - it was nothing that I had done caused this issue. But yet they wanted to sell me another machine. It will be a cold day before I purchase another Whirlpool product.I was shocked at the lack of customer service to assist with a situation that both the location I purchased it from and my own repair tech said that they are seeing so often with these machines. I would never purchase another item from Whirlpool again nor would I recommend any of their items. I will go to great lengths to give others the background on how Whirlpool will not stand behind their products, lack of customer service to resolve a situation or can work outside of what is given to them to correct a situation - this is not OK!

In 2015 door of top loading washer (Whirlpool Cabrio Washer) needed total replacement. Lucky I had an extended warranty. 2018 March, extended warranty expired and now have the exact same problem. Pretty crummy product if major part like a door has to be replaced every 3-4 years. We do not wash large items like blankets/quilts in this machine. That goes to a laundromat where there are oversized machines or to a dry cleaner. So the only reason for this breakage is a default in the lid assembly. There is only one phone number for customer service, repair, parts etc. Put in my service call and filed a complaint at same time hoping for at least a small discount. Ha! $100 plus tax for service call- part price ranges from $150-230 plus tax. Whirlpool could tell me the part exists but would not say how long it takes to get it! Do NOT buy Whirlpool washer with top load lid that has glass window. Big problem is that Whirlpool now has Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, Maytag and Amana all under their umbrella.

I have Whirlpool fridge for a very long time since I own my house and for me is one of the best, is a great company and occasionally have to fix in a couple of times and afraid to buy another more modern and not last like this old fridge.

Whirlpool Gold microwave quit heating after little use. We moved in house one year ago, microwave 6 years old. Spoke with Timena customer service rep. She took my model, serial info and clearly explained this model had defects and they would replace for free even though 1 year warranty was up. Delivery staff would call within 24 business hours. After 4 days I call back and get Mia rep, she claims I was disapproved for new unit after all?? I spoke to 2 supervisors above her Karin in Tennessee, and another. They claim I was mistaken??? I said, “Look up the recorded call and you will see the message is clear... They acted shifty and claimed I should buy a new starting at $1399!!! They would consider small discount?? Their rep was clear at first then they failed to back her up. Terrible customer service. Lied etc. Never buy Whirlpool!!! They are cheap and don’t stand behind reps. Awful company!!!

The dishwasher is less than 2 years old, out of warranty, and will not start. The repairman said the problem is in the electronics. It would cost $500+ to repair.

Very concerned. First the microwave broke. It seems that is burning on the inside. The model number is MH1150XMS-2, purchased in 2005. I have had to replace the plate. I have read of many recalls, because of the potential of fire. My model was not among the ones on the recall list.

Extremely unsatisfied with their customer care. I purchased a washer and dryer 18 months ago and did not choose to purchase an extended warranty. I currently need a main control board replaced after the machine stopped spinning and draining. I hired a wonderful handyman, who originally suspected the lid--locking mechanism was the problem. When that was replaced and the machine still wasnt functioning, he determined the main control board needed replacing. This is a manufacturer defect and costs approximately $300 for the part, not including labor. Of course, my machine is no longer covered under the extremely limited manufacturers warranty that only lasts for 12 months, so I am stuck picking up the bill. Once done with all the parts and labor, its cheaper to buy a new washing machine especially because they still wont add a warranty to it after its fixed. I think its absurd that a manufacturers defect isnt continually covered under warranty no matter how old the machine is. Customer service continued to tell me I should have wasted more money on a company that doesnt care about customer satisfaction and purchased an extended warranty originally. Horrible investment! Will never purchase Whirlpool appliances ever again!
