Buyer beware! I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrico topload and with my second wash, I realized I had a mess of a new washer. Ive called the call center on 3 separate occasions and I have spoken to other customers who have the sample complaint. The clothes are not washed clean. They have a residue left on them. My advice to all potential buyers, dont even consider buying a Whirlpool Cabrio washer. It is the worst purchase I ever made in an appliance. Im very unhappy with my washer.

I bought this Whirlpool America dishwasher because it was cheap. Even though Im Canadian, I like patriotism and I could get behind the American flag logo on the washer. Let me just say, if you like when food comes off your plates, and attaches to your cups, then this is the dishwasher for you. It is always a surprise when you open the door to discover which dishes have been cleaned, and which dishes have inherited the food particles from the now clean dishes. This appliance really helps you work on time management as you are required to wash all your dishes before you put them into the dishwasher. 0/10 would not recommend for anyone who wants clean dishes.

Bought a stainless steel Whirlpool Gold bottom freezer in 2011. I purchased an extended warranty from Lowes (4) years, and still have another year left on it. Im constantly having to mop up puddles that form under the right front of the refrigerator. I read someone elses review with the same issue along with a sheet of ice forming in the bottom of the freezer and having to chip it out so the freezer drawer will close! Im calling the warranty company today.

I love this stove! It is nearly perfect. I wish it was easier to clean the glasstop, but I imagine that comes with any glasstop stove. The stove is easy to use, and I love the cooktime option. My only complaint is that the timer is very quiet, and when it is a timer while something is cooking, it only beeps once. If its a timer when nothing is cooking then it will go off repeatedly until you turn off the timer.

Cabrio he washer wtw6400sw2 - I bought this washer about 6 years ago at the time we paid around $900. Now my bearings went bad and the repair person told me it would cost around $300 to $400 to replace the bearings and seal and shaft but that I should call Whirlpool and see if they could replace the part or give me some discount cause it is becoming an issue with all the Cabrio washers. So I called and spoke with a so called manager - as far as I know it could of been a cleaning person there. She told me that she could not do nothing about the issue. So if a lawyer would be nice to help me and the rest of the world that are having all these issues to file a suit against Whirlpool Corp.

I purchased a very expensive Cabrio top-loading washer thinking I would never have to worry because supposedly it’s the top of the line, right? Well, I have it a few years; the first week they replaced the basket because it was ruining my clothes. And then I had to replace the pump because of a coin getting caught and putting a hole in the pump. Really? What the heck? Now the basket is all shredded at the top. Obviously that isn’t right, so what do I do now? Replace the basket again? Who gives them the right to charge so much for a piece of junk? Plus, it’s supposed to save on water, but I feel that the clothes don’t really clean well. They hardly feel wet coming out of the machine.

I have owned Craftmaster 30-gallon hot water heater and the only things reliable about it is trouble and aggravation. I purchased this in 2004. I have had to replace the controls, valves, wires, etc. three times in 10 years. And Im now looking at doing it a fourth time. The design of these parts are utter crap! Cheap plastic! After replacing these parts, this hot water heater works great for a few years, then invariably starts acting up. The pilot light goes out when the heater is supposed to kick on instead. Getting the pilot light lit again, is an exercise in futility! The red reset button once released, immediately extinguishes the ignition flame. Supposedly, after holding it down for 1-2 minutes allowing gas to build up, it should light the coils... and if it doesnt, youre supposed to wait 10 minutes to try relighting again. You can repeat this process for 12 hours, and if you finally do get this temperamental piece of junk to light, youre lucky. Customer Service has been useless in assistance. All they want to do is send you e-mail, and get you off the phone. Not to mention, Ive been told by many a rep that the hot water heater extinguishes itself, if water is overheated, and that it must be my fault for setting the temp too hot. Baloney... Ive been told that the underside vent must be cleaned every few months, so that air flow is accurate. Makes no difference one way or the other. And recently, Ive been told by a rep, that my 40-yr-old house likely doesnt vent exhaust out through the roof properly. This product is inferior and unpredictable. Its great when it works, and the pilot light stays lit. God forbid it ever goes out though! It is next to impossible to relight. I have spent more money on service technicians attempting to repair/replace parts, than it would have cost to simply by a new hot water heater. I miss the old days, when it was easy to light a hot water heater: Strike a match, turn the gas on, and instant hot water. No muss, no fuss. Having owned many properties w/ hot water heaters over the years, I have never encountered such repeat problems, as with this product. Its simply not reliable, and not worth the $$$. Never again, will I buy a Craftmaster Product. And I had no clue that there was a Class Action Suit filed, and a settlement involved in these faulty units. Whirlpool/Craftmaster should have notified everyone, who purchased one of their units. Now Im stuck w/ a constantly broken unit, and zero recourse. I will never buy anything Whirlpool/Craftmaster again, as a result.

This is not a new washer (Whirlpool Cabrio INTW6200VWO) and it works well BUT since we have owned it we have had rust at the bleach dispenser. I am seeing on the internet there are many complaints about this and there was a recall? But they have run out of replacement parts??? Never received any recall notice. We have online instructions on how to repair and have done this many times and the rust comes back. About a week ago we sanded, primed and enamel painted the area plus I have put NO BLEACH in the dispenser and the rust is coming back. I hate to replace a working machine but this rust can and will get on my clothing. Whirlpool was the absolutely best in the past but this one is a lemon.

I purchased a range top from Lowes and a month and half my burners go out. I call Whirlpool and a service technician came out. Said that he cant repair the stove because a bug had burned out the burners and he cant repair the stove. I call Whirlpool and they told me that voids my warranty with them even though my stove is not even two months old that will not repair it and I will have to pay for it to be repaired. I asked Lowes and they told me that they only take back big appliances back before 30 days. Now I am stuck with a stove that I paid 700.00 for that does not work and I have 4 children to feed. I am sickened on how Whirlpool can do this to a hard working family that just wants a good stove. I hope this helps another hard working family. Do your research before buying from Whirlpool. We bought a Cabrio washer model #WTW7300DW0 and are very unhappy. The clothes come out of the washer dirty, with chunks of soap, (yes we are using HE detergent) and patches of lint on them. The low water design is a joke. The clothes on the top of the load never get into the water. The lid needed repair from the first day we bought it. We have tried all the water settings and the clothes on the top barely move. Why hasnt Whirlpool figured out that this design is just not working? Our three month old washer is headed out of our house one way or another! Notice we didnt give it any stars!

I am writing due to the defects and flaws in my recently purchased appliances. I chose Whirlpool believing I was buying the highest quality for longevity purposes. Every appliance I own is Whirlpool or Maytag - same company. I purchased warranties and was told the warranties dont cover my issues and was basically brushed off. I am infuriated. Here is a list of complaints. Refrigerator is cracking on the inside on the inner door and at the bottom. These cracks surfaced within the first year of purchase. The warranty does not cover cracks in the inner body. The oven/range has an exhaust that bellows out of the top of the range in a way that the smoke curls up onto the panel and discolors it. I have never had an oven constructed with an exhaust pipe in the front that pours smoke onto the range itself and into your house. The dishwasher paint has rusted off on the door as have the screws on the inside of the door. The cover panel on the cleaning dispenser of the washer has popped off and cannot be popped back on, hence the guts of the dispenser are always visible and when I go to load the cleansers the front has to pulled out from inside the dispense. The refrigerator is also leaking from the bottom and the ice-maker no longer produces ice. This started off and on for the past 2 years. At first I thought the leak was from a near by window. No it is the refrigerator. All of these appliances were purchased in 2013, 14 and 15. New. I am 56. I have never had issues like this ever in my life growing up or as an adult. Appliances lasted forever. I am one person. How much damage could I do? None. These are flaws in chemical compounding of the paints and materials for cracks and rust. Whirlpool was called various times and was not interested in sending a rep to verify my claims. They said all of my warranties did not cover such issues only motors. Lots of many spent in vain. I will not purchase Whirlpool again as they seem disinterested in customer satisfaction.

I purchased my Whirlpool Double-Oven one year ago and couldnt wait to use my new oven. I was told it was so efficient because I could use the top oven for quick baking instead of heating the entire oven (plus I could set it at different temperature settings). About a month in, I cooked 2 pizzas side by side. The first one burnt to a crisp and the one right beside it was doughy on top and burnt on the bottom. Not thinking, I blamed the pizzas! I also blamed myself, thinking it was me not being used to the stove.A few weeks later, I baked cupcakes. About 15 minutes in, I smelled burning and the cupcakes were raw on top and burnt black on the bottom. I called Whirlpool and they sent a technician out and he replaced the circuit board/clock. Worked for a couple of weeks and then the burning began again. Called Whirlpool again - another technician came out and adjusted the temperature. Here I am again, had to call Whirlpool again. This stove has been so inconsistent and Im so tired of wasting food because of this stove. My 4-year old Whirlpool dryer also went out last week so needless to say, Im not very fond of Whirlpool right now! If you are planning on buying a Whirlpool product, buyer beware and I hope you have a lot of patience...

Am I to feel lucky my water heater water didnt fail sooner only to feel unlucky all of the free repair kits are now gone? Lowes provided me with the Whirlpool phone number for help and they have just informed me it will cost me $35.44 plus shipping. I now see how widespread this problem is. This isnt right. Whirlpool wrf560seyw00 refrigerator plastic tasting water - Purchased 22 months ago. Did not think a warranty was necessary. Even if I had a warranty, they say they wouldnt have paid on the claim. I called Whirlpool asking for a one time goodwill policy adjustment considering Ive outfitted my home in all new Maytag/Whirlpool appliances over the past 3 years. In a nutshell, their plastic water lines to the dispenser in my fridge are deteriorating. There are plastic floaters and a horrible plastic smell and taste. You cannot drink it. First, they blame the filter mixing with the chlorine from my city water (go ahead and laugh... because thats just nuts) and when I told them I removed the filter two weeks ago and there are floaters in the water, they said my water still was to blame. Heres a thought... Dont use cheap plastic lines when you sell someone an expensive appliance! Is it really that difficult to offer a quality product? This is a smaller three-door unit (French on top w/ bottom freezer). There is no water holding tank because its small and we have a copper supply line. My neighbors dont have trouble with theirs either. I may be female but Im not an idiot. Maytag/Whirlpool corporation has lost a loyal 20 plus year customer.

Purchased Black Ice French Door refrigerator in December 6, 2012. Used warranty first year due to loud noise & replaced whole back panel in top part. They seemed to know it was a design flaw. Thought all would be well. Purchased extended warranty for second year and did not need so did not extend again. Now it has been 2 years and 7 months and the ice maker had to be shut off due to water running down outside. The refrigerator is no longer cold enough--60 Degrees (too warm) and freezer door would not close all the way (had to duct tape it shut). I certainly expected it to last longer than that for a $2300 fridge. The old Kenmore was 15 years old and still worked. After reading all these reviews it is time for a class action lawsuit! We have to buy another now but it wont be Whirlpool!

I probably have to buy another oven because they say they wont replace it if they think its fixable. 3 MONTHS! I will never buy Whirlpool again. I hate them.

I have had this unit less than a year and started having pilot problems. I would just relight and ask family members to take shorter showers or not run the washing machine or dishwasher at the same time. I would have to relight the pilot 3-4 times a year and would just tolerate. Now the water heater fails on a daily basis. In the last four weeks, my wife would say NO HOT WATER AGAIN. I am so tired of dealing with this, so last night, I called Whirlpool and associate was polite but gave me a lot of things that I should do (43 yrs a pipefitter). Before all was said and done, he is shipping me a new gas valve (at my expense) that I will gladly install to get rid of this problem. Will not EVER buy a hot water heater from Whirpool or Lowes ever again. Whirpool should stick to washing machines!

My son bought a Mastermind 250-L refrigerator on 09.09.2009 (invoice no. **) from the Good Morning store in Alleppey (phone no. 0477-23253809). The cooling effect was lost with a loud sound. I requested customer care. Three times, four people came and they gave a receipt of RS 890. After they left, it is in the same condition. I requested so many times, but there’s no reaction. Before I could go for legal proceedings, I would like to make you aware of the conditions prevailing in Kerala in sales and services. The young trainees who dont know to repair have broken down the entire system and it is fully collapsed. The franchise office washed their hands. This will spoil the entire name and fame of the company. Kindly look in to the matter and do the needful immediately.

For the second time in 18 months, I have had to replace the top shelves on my refrigerator (Model #ED5VHEXVB01) because the cheap plastic borders have broken. The first time it was covered by the 1 year warranty, but this time (12/11) Ill have to pay $130 just for one shelf. Unless the quality of the product has improved, Ill probably expect to have to replace them again within the year. Needless to say, Ill never buy Whirlpool products again. Im out $130 because Whirlpool will not replace them for free because the product is no longer under warranty.

It was finished by the time I arrived back home, I was gone about 11/2 hrs. I have yet to complete a wash cycle in less than 1hr 15mins. I hate that I have no control over water level, that I have to put detergent in the bottom of the tub, and the damn lid locks! My clothes dont feel clean. Retail price, $3100. Purchased from Sears Outlet for 2/3 of that amount due to dings on a side panel, back and some blemishes on the front. Still sold as new with a new warranty (Good thing!). Ive had full use of the unit for 1 month out of 3 that Ive had it. Freezer stays at a temperature in the mid-20s and, after 4 repair visits, it turns out the compressor is faulty and now Im waiting for the 2nd part to arrive and be installed to see if that corrects the problem. Sears stepped away from the problem saying it will be repaired. Whirlpool has wonderful telephone support that is totally committed to me staying with a faulty appliance until its fixed. My view is that a unit that expensive, should be no problem to replace allowing Whirlpool to take as long as they want to make repairs and re-sell it. But no; their commitment is to keeping the refrigerator in my house and running a service tech back and forth while I continue tossing food that cannot be used.

Purchased WRF989SDAM00 French Door refrigerator in 2013, and 33 months later it is not cooling (fridge 45/freezer 36 degrees). Service call diagnosis is a leak in the sealed component area. Since it out of the 1 year warranty period, nothing is covered. This is the first of Whirlpools dual evaporator models, and is technically challenging according to the service technician. Most likely one or both evaporators are defective, and this type of failure comes with a recommendation to change out the compressor as well as it is moisture compromised. As my previous Kitchen Aids had 10 year sealed component warranties, and the Whirlpool is the same base mechanism as the Kitchen Aid, I contacted Whirlpool to see if they would extend my warranty coverage to these sealed components. Website submission - never got an answer. Called the customer service line - they politely told me they were sorry but there is nothing they can offer me. Even the extended service plan would not cover me as this refrigerator has a preexisting problem and it must be 100% operational to begin an extended service contract.Im extremely disappointed in this fridge only lasting 33 months, in comparison to my previous Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid refrigerators. Of course the internet just allows me to see that Im not alone is purchasing a short lived appliance. So here is my contribution to the internet of things: Do not purchase Whirlpool refrigerators expecting them to last much beyond the warranty period. Buyer beware.

Their Service is the worst I ever have dealt with. The whole house - we Bought Whirlpool based on the Maytags we bought for our House in 2004. Never a problem but those Maytags were Maytag - not whirlpool. I would never buy any Whirlpool Appliances again. I had started the dishwasher and had gone to bed last night. I came downstairs ten minutes later to get a bottle of water. There was smoke throughout my downstairs levels. Our Whirlpool Gold Dishwashers control had dark, noxious smoke emitting from it. I tried to turn it off but it was too hot to touch. I went to the breaker box and shut it off there, turned on fans, and went back to bed. This morning, it turned the electricity back on. It started smoking again. I tried to cancel the cycle but it wouldnt cancel. I opened the door to stop the cycle and it continued spraying water and still wouldnt shut down. I had to shut it off at the breaker again. Next problem is my refrigerator, washer and dryer are all on the same breaker. UGH! This is the second Whirlpool I have had. The first one had a rusted tub that leaked into our basement. The repair guy said he had never seen that before...sure...why would you put something in a dishwasher that would rust out on you? Whirlpool, NEVER AGAIN. Purchased Whirlpool Dishwasher 1 year ago. I use the Dishwasher once a week. When the Dishwasher was originally installed, immediately I noticed when dishes were placed the racks, there is an annoying squeaking sound. I am not exaggerating but the noise can be heard from my sidewalk outside! I called Whirlpool and a technician was sent to my residence. There is nothing wrong with your Dishwasher. I was told to Grease the racks. One year later I still have the same issue! I placed the phone near the Dishwasher to have the Customer Service Rep hear the Loud Squeaking and to no avail. I will never ever buy another product from Whirlpool. Now the latch will not close to the door! I rarely use this appliance, only placing dishes and utensils. No Pots and Pans!!!!! This is going to be another huge bill I will be responsible for paying and I dont feel it is of my own doing. It seems to be apparent that Whirlpool does not stand by their products!!!! I am sure they are aware of all these issues, customers are complaining and nothing seems to be done from reading some of these posts. I am wondering why they are still in business.

Four years ago, we remodeled our kitchen and purchased the Whirlpool Quiet Partner II dishwasher, with a one-year service warranty. To be fair, we have not had a problem with the operation of the dishwasher, but rather, the quality of the dishwasher. Within the first two years, the front panel of the dishwasher started turning brown and rusting through from the steam escaping the dishwasher. The labels on the operating buttons have peeled off, again, from the heat of the dishwasher. The upright spokes on bottom tray, that hold dishes and etc. in place, started rusting through and breaking off. Guides which allow top drawer to slide in and out and hold drawer in place, have weakened, so drawer is constantly dropping or sagging.I have had other dishwashers that have certainly lasted more than four years but was encouraged by a Home Depot salesman that this was a great machine for the price! I should have paid closer attention to that for the price part. In any event, I called Whirlpools customer service department, believing that in this day and age, SOMETHING could be done to help with these issues and was told, quite succinctly, that there was nothing Whirlpool could do. I asked about standing by the integrity of their product and got no response to that either.I am an associate with American Girl, a company that stands by the quality of its product FOR LIFE. To be told by a customer service rep from a much larger company, that there was nothing they could do to help me, completely blew me away. I have taken pictures that are pretty indicative of the quality of this dishwasher and will be going online to warn other consumers against purchasing Whirlpool products.

Whirlpool Water Heater FG1F4040S3NOV - I had this water heater installed in 2005 by a professional plumber and every year since like clockwork, I have to replace the gas control valve/thermostat. Last year, Sears came and did the work and made their arrangements to have the part replaced. This year 2012, March 9 my gas control valve went again. The unit is not even a year old and broke again. Unfortunately, the six-year warranty is up on the hot water tank. I called Whirlpool two times. The first time, the guy told me that the warranty was up and hung up on me! The second time, the guy would not honor the replacing of a part that is not even a year old yet. The money I spent over the six years making repair on it, I could have bought a new one. WRF993FIFM00 refrigerator is a LEMON - I bought my $3000 refrigerator just after Christmas. In seven months, it has failed three times and I have been without a refrigerator for a cumulative 7 weeks so far. Each time it failed, I lost all my food, (but not until after wed been eating compromised food). If you buy a fridge, I strongly recommend getting a thermometer, because we learned the hard way that these Whirlpool units can just stop cooling properly and you wont necessarily notice that it is above the FDAs recommendations for food storage. Anyway, after each call they will make an appointment a week or two out for a tech to come out, who then orders the parts that take weeks to come in. Now, my third service call in and the SAME PARTS have failed again and I am again without any refrigeration and they have no idea when the parts will be in. This has been an awful experience, and Whirlpool could not care less. DONT buy their products, under any of their names. IT IS TIME FOR A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. Too many folks have spent a lot of money and have been burned by Whirlpool, not to mention becoming ill from improperly chilled food!

I ordered this Whirlpool 29 cu.ft. white french door refrigerator online from Goedeckers on April 26, 2013. Delivered May 15, 2013. Ever since we got it, there was a frost buildup in left back of ref. Also ice would fall out of dispenser all by itself. Also a buildup of ice under ice bin. Water would also drip from dispenser. We thought maybe since it was new these problems would go away. But they just got worse. I called Whirlpool & they sent out tech on 8/12/13. He told me Whirlpool has a problem with these refrigerators & would order parts. Well after 3 times of cancelling repairman due to parts on backorder, I told repair I would call when parts come in. I keep calling Whirlpool & keep hearing parts are on backorder, saying parts will be in in 7 days. I call back in 7 days and hear the same lies. Its a shame that they cant get parts in knowing that there is a major problem. It sounds like a real quality control problem. Whirlpool French Door 32 Cu. Refrigerator - Purchased refrigerator Nov 2016
Whirlpool French Door 32 Cu. Refrigerator - Purchased refrigerator Nov 2016. Never worked, never cooled. Called Sears and was told to call Whirpool. Had to then wait 1 week for repair company to send out service tech. He determined it was unrepairable. A replacement was delivered. The replacement started flooding the interior down the back, filling underneath the bottom drawer and down into the freezer (ruining everything in the freezer) and out onto the floor. Called Whirlpool and had to wait another week for a tech. They assessed the problem and left. I was told it would be fixed within the week, that theyd call when the parts arrived. 3 weeks later, no word. Called Whirlpool, the parts were on backorder with no ETA. Two weeks later the parts were expedited, after I called again crying, and a tech came out again to fix the flooding. Two weeks ago the fan started to make a very loud noise and the internal temperature started to fluctuate and finally settled between 55-60+. Everything was ruined, again. This refrigerator is defective. Whirlpools customer service is deplorable. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM WHIRLPOOL!!! They dont care that they make and sell defective crap. They dont care about how much money and time youve lost because of their defective merchandise. You have to have a service repair person come out at least 3 times before theyll even consider a replacement unless the repair tech considers it unrepairable even if it never really works or if the parts take weeks to be delivered. They DONT CARE about anything. Worst part is that I have no power or recourse. No one will help me. I was told today by the Sears Customer Relations to hire a lawyer. :( This is so wrong.

He removed the basket and once again there was an article of clothing under the basket, blocking the drain pump - $129.00. At this moment it is beginning to smell again. I spent 40 minutes on the phone this morning with Sears and Whirlpool. No help whatsoever. This machine is not even 3 years old. I never overload it and clean it regularly. I bought the washer and dryer as a set because they are quite visible in my home. I have had Whirlpool products for over 40 years and never had a problem. I need someone to stand behind this machine.

Love the dishwasher, except the racking which has some top rack channels which are too small to be used by glasses, mugs, etc. The Power On/Off should automatically power down when the cycle is finished. Too often when someone leans against the dishwasher while opening the overhead cupboard, the dishwasher will start up because the unit was not powered down.

Oven was purchased new from Home Depot. Right off, the top black glass surface got scratched. Not sure how it happened. Seems to scratch easily. Then, the oven temperature for baking was found to not hold consistent. While pre-heating the oven for 350 F, the temperature goes up to 375 F, then well into the baking time, can drop to 100 degrees less (275 F). Oven feature is called accu bake. It ruined the baking and seems to be anything but.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator at Lowes after my 16-month-old $4000 Samsung died and Samsung didnt care. I thought I was purchasing a better product. Six months old and the Whirlpool died. Service tech came out, said he had to order parts. That was on 1/21/2020. It is now 3/5/2020 and I still have no refrigerator. After being told week after week after week that I had to wait for parts, 3 weeks ago they finally approved a replacement refrigerator. STILL WAITING FOR THAT. Have completely lost confidence in Whirlpool and would not recommend the brand to anyone. Lousy customer service and lousy product. So disappointed. No reimbursement offer for lost food, weeks of having to purchase take out, gas to store daily... HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

I purchased this fridge in February 2015. In August, the handle on the fridge door broke. I called for a replacement on 8/7, on 9/14/15 I received it. It broke on 10/3/15 and had a replacement on 10/13/15. It broke again on 12/26/15. I called for a replacement. I should get it in 10 days. Obviously, there is a flaw in their design. What bothers me is that no one seems to care. I will hope I never have to buy a Whirlpool product again. And I will certainly discourage anyone I know who is thinking about buying their products. I purchased this product at Lowes and they did not care when I went to them.

We bought the Whirlpool Gold series side-by-side about 2 years ago with an ice maker in the door and with this design, the ice bucket is on the inside of the door, which we thought was a very clever design, taking up less freezer space. Well, to remove the ice bucket, we had to use a blow dryer because even though you press the button which is supposed to disengage the bucket from the door, it has always been frozen onto the base. Then we started having issues of water leaking from the ice maker. It turns out, that the lever that controls the chute was broken. We called a certified Whirlpool technician to come out to fix the ice maker dispenser lever. Well as it turns out, it cannot be fixed. It is a sealed in the door unit and to fix it, we have to replace the door, a repair estimate for door and labor is approximately $800. That is absurd.I contacted Whirlpool and was told that my refrigerator is out of warranty and that there is not an option to repair the dispenser. There is nothing we can do. I said that according to the repairman, we are not the first to report this problem. When I contacted Whirlpool I was told there is no recall for this item. We purchased the Whirlpool based on the reputation that it has had in the past and the good product we have in a Maytag (which is associated with Whirlpool) dishwasher. Well, never again are we going to purchase a Whirlpool or any of its subsidiaries products. I have read so many unhappy customers here that I cannot believe that Whirlpool continues to make such inferior products or designs.

This thing absolutely is total junk. It doesnt clean at all. I have to wash my sons sweaty uniform 3 times because the first two wash didnt clean it. A tub and washboard cleans better than this unit. A 600+ washer should clean the basic stuff. I remove clothes after it was finished and some of the clothes have dry spots where the water couldnt make it to. What kind of washer leaves clothes dry?I wish I came across this site when I was at the store. I did a search and the manufacture website and retail gave it positive reviews. I pretty sure the Whirlpool is paying people to write positive reviews. Technicians have come and gone telling me that there isnt anything wrong with it. That their diagnostic isnt detecting anything. Well when I call them again I will have the tech wait while I wash my sons sweaty uniform and then they can smell it after it goes through the wash. Im going call out a service tech until it works as advertise or they replace it. If I have to call them out once a week. That is what I will do.

We purchased a brand new Whirlpool fridge & electric range. Tried the oven on 3/22/14. Turned it on at 350 for 30 minutes. Waited for the new smell to go away. Then turned the temp up to 375. My husband put a frozen lasagna dinner in. 25 minutes later the inside oven door window exploded into the oven and the dinner. Found out the outside window usually explodes. We were lucky. The dealer we bought it from let us exchange it right away. Filed a report with the CSPC and am trying to find out how to file a complaint with Whirlpool.

I bought this Whirlpool Cabrio Washer 3 years ago. Yesterday will be my last repair. I installed a new tub (bearing failed have to buy a full tub to replace), new suspension rods and a new stator and rotor (cracked). Last year I replaced a drain pump twice, and a computer board. All of these repairs since I purchased this washer have cost me well over $900 for a $1400 machine. I dont mind replacing a pump every few years but these larger failures are unacceptable. We have moved back to Kenmore on some new appliances we purchased this year as result of trouble with Whirlpool. Whirlpool should send out a recall on the suspension rods; the existing ones seize at the top and stop functioning causing the tub to shake excessively. This led to the cracked motor (rotor cracked).

We have all kitchen appliances from Whirlpool, but it is not what we choose, that was builders choice. We, two people, are living in his apartment for almost five years, and first problem was with oven - the window in the door it is leaking somewhere, then microwave - the all front door plastic is cracking (we using microwave maybe twice a week) and is it placed under the oven. Now we have problems with fridge - the plastic inside the fringe is cracking. We called Whirlpool customer support and Whirlpool do not even want to hear it about the problems - they just want that same authorized technician will came to your apartment to inspect these problems for $95, it is not even important whose fault it is. This company, Whirlpool really DO NOT CARE about the products, which they produce - as long it is sells... Now we know, we made smart decision - do not accept the washer and dryer (we get it from Bosh - it makes me happy). Now we just wait till all Whirlpools appliances will stop working and never ever look back to Whirlpool.

I know that appliances are made to be disposable, but throwing away a $40 toaster after 18 months is easier to live with than throwing away a $350-$400 dishwasher. We bought a new dishwasher at Lowes on October 15, 2015. It is now May 11, 2016. The manufacturers warranty was for a year. It has been about a year and half since it was installed. Not very long for an appliance that one would assume would last at least 5-10 years. When we called Whirlpool to see about a repair visit, we were told that the trip to the house would cost $105, and the parts could go as high as $250-$300. So if you weigh the original price to the repair price, having it repaired is not rational, but neither is throwing away a dishwasher thats almost new. Its still clean inside. No soap residue or anything in the tub. In the past, by the time we were in the market for a new dishwasher, our old dishwasher looked like it had been through the war. It just breaks my heart to know that a company is so slipshod at making appliances that they wear out in less than two years. There doesnt seem to be any recourse but to dump a perfectly good, relatively new dishwasher in the landfill. We are leaving a very big footprint by doing this.

I purchased the refrigerator (WRT3L15ZYBOO) from a reputable store (Lowes) on 10/15/11. 15 months later it failed. The service tech diagnosed complete loss of refrigerant. Cost for repairs would be more than half the purchase price and the wait for parts would be weeks. Contact to Whirlpool customer rep (Brittany) said no assistance was available, even for obviously a defective product. Solution: I had the store remove the defective appliance and purchased a new fridge (not Whirlpool) at about the same price it would have cost to repair the defective one. With delivery within 3 days, I likely saved time and money over dealing with Whirlpool. I had purchased a Whirlpool stove at the same time and am feeling quite anxious about it. Consequences: I plan to purchase a washer/dryer in the next year. No Whirlpool products considered.

A factory authorized technician came out this morning and repaired the washing machine. The bolt had come off of the pulley, which then fell off and burned through the guard, and then burned into the insulating on the bottom. The technician said this happens frequently. All that needs to happen is to have a Loctite bolt holding the pulley rather than a plain bolt which comes loose with the vibration. All Whirlpool had to do was spend a couple cents more for the proper part which would avoid potential fire! I should not have needed to have had my home put at risk, needed this service call or pay all that extra money because of their poor workmanship and design failure. This should be a recall item, and all costs incurred by the consumer should be covered by Whirlpool.

I have owned a Whirlpool Cabrio model no. WTW7800XW2 washing machine for less than 3 years. The plastic frame for the top glass lid cracked (on the right next to the spring loaded hinge). After reading that other people have had a similar problem, I contacted Whirlpool about this and talked to its TN call center representative. I requested that Whirlpool repair the appliance free of charge since there is a known defect with it. I would not recommend this product at all, nor would I recommend the Whirlpool Company. This washer was over $1200.00. Within two weeks of purchase, I had to call a service repair company as I was immediately having issues with the washer not draining. Being a front loader, this machine required using the appropriate HE detergent. I followed the instructions, used the appropriate products and had nothing but continuous problems. It is a (lemon), and very frustrating, as it does not seem repairable. No serviceman could give an appropriate reason as to why the washer would not drain, nor could they figure out why. It didnt matter the size of the laundry load or the type of items...towels, jeans, or silky delicates...the washer failed at turning from the wash cycle to the drain cycle. It also leaked because of the lack of draining, and began building up a mold film and odor even though I consistently wiped it dry and left the door opened when not in use. I received no assistance from Whirlpool and was given the runaround and told I must be doing something incorrectly.

My experiences using Whirpool ranges and ovens have been very positive. As a matter of fact, that is the brand preferred by my family through several generations. Durability, reliability and warranties have been the main features we have found useful. Most of the ranges and ovens have been replaced at home, always with Whirlpool brand, but with added improvements that manufacturer come up with, in order to integrate our devices to the latest technologies. I would recommend this brand to the readers, friends and neighbors.

Whirlpool ED5FVGXWS refrigerator compressor failed after 24 months. No help from Whirlpool as the said 12-month warranty had run out. I do understand it’s my bad luck, but they really should try harder to back the products they make. Two years on a compressor is totally unacceptable. They could care less. I even proposed a $200 rebate on a new Whirlpool fridge. My bad luck wasn’t the compressor going out, it was buying the fridge in the first place. Shame on you Whirlpool! Viva la Mexico! They told me I could use it as a boat anchor.

My wife and I purchased our Whirlpool Duet Model # WFW95HEDC 7/19/16. I put my first claim in on 12/19/16. We were sitting downstairs one night watching tv and all of a sudden a noise like the sound of a tractor trailer putting on its jake brake came roaring from upstairs. It was so loud that we both jumped. The machine would periodically vibrate violently while going thru its spin cycle. The frequency started to get closer and closer together. Whirlpool had a technician come to our home. They came out 3 times and said that nothing was wrong. They said that it was vibrating because it was on a pedestal and upstairs on a non solid floor. They also blamed the loose water hose on the noise. SERIOUSLY??? After the 3rd visit, and a week before the 4th visit our machine started to leak. We paid $1,079.00 for this washer and we were having to take our laundry to a laundromat to wash it. The technician came out the 4th time and replaced a cracked drum. Apparently it vibrated so badly that the drum cracked. So everything seemed ok, then WHALAH!!! We wash the clothes and go to move it to the dryer and it is dripping wet. Somehow after they replaced the drum the machine started to not spin the water from the clothes very well. Takes drying the clothes for 50min 2x to get them dry. I am now set to have the appliance company come out for a 5th time and still not corrected. Whats worse is that every time I contact Whirlpool they give me the same canned speech and want to set up another appointment with the appliance company. I am soon at the year mark with my manufacturers warranty and still having issues. I think Whirlpool keeps kicking the can down the road without making good on correcting the issue so they can get past the year mark and make us take it up with Home Depot on our extended service plan. I feel bad for everyone out there who got screwed by this company.

The washer (Cabrio WTW7800XWO) was less than 2 years old and we had a motor go out, so we paid a repairman to come out and repair the machine. The total cost was over $300. Now 2 months later, we get another code on the machine and Whirlpool says, We are sorry but there is nothing we can do, but if you would like to pay $219, we can get a repairman out there to check out the machine and repair it. Theyre also giving the machine an additional year warranty. Shortly after that, I noticed the lid was not staying up when I opened to put clothes in it to wash. So since I was wondering what was happening, I looked at the lid and to my surprise, the springs that hold the door up when open are built into the plastic lid cover that has a see-through glass on it. Right where the springs are located, it must be a stress point and the plastic lid has since cracked and is almost about to break off. I am now in the process of ordering another lid and Whirlpool offered to sell me a lid for $226 but I think I shall buy it from someone else as I dont want to put any more money into Whirlpools pockets. We paid over $1000 when we bought this machine. Now it is about 2.5 years old. I hope there is a class action lawsuit on Whirlpool as I will definitely join in if there is. This company needs to go out of business if they continue to sell machines like this that have so many problems especially when they are less than 2.5 years old. Goodbye Whirlpool. You have lost many more customers as I shall be letting everyone I know about all the problems and complaints about this machine.

We bought a brand new Whirlpool dishwasher around 2 years ago. Within 13 months it stopped drying dishes, silverware etc. I called customer service told the person what’s going on. Of course the warranty was up, a month prior. She said she would send a service technician out to see why it wasn’t drying. They charge 75$ a hour plus a service fee for coming out. I told her no. She said she would drop the service fee since it was only 13 months old. I asked how long he would be here, she had no idea. I didn’t make the appointment because I felt I shouldn’t have to pay anything because it was only 13 months old.She didn’t agree. Since then it has gotten worse, it doesn’t dry anything, maybe the dishes. I have to put the silverware rack on a towel by and dry the silverware or put it away wet. I’ve bought jet dry a few different ones and no luck. I would not recommend anything from Whirlpool, especially a dishwasher. We have new wood cabinets. The cabinets will get soaked if I don’t put paper towels under them. This is the worst dishwasher I ever owned. Don’t waste your money!!
