In a recent decision regarding the highly expensive, supposed elite performing Whirlpool Gold refrigerators, a group of unsatisfied Whirlpool owners who are tired of cleaning water puddles from in front of their new refrigerators have hired all automobile corporations to manufacture cars only available to the CEO, Executive Board as well as the entire engineering staff at Whirlpool.These cars will be guaranteed to run ok. However, once the car is heated up under normal working conditions, the cars will be guaranteed to leak oil all over whatever surface they are parked upon. We hope that this will not be an inconvenience to the CEO of Whirlpool; however, perhaps once you have destroyed your new garage floor, you will understand the nature of our complaint with your poorly designed and engineered Whirlpool product.While this letter will have no effect on my current defective product provided to me by Whirlpool, it makes me feel better and I have not had the attention span to listen to my wife complain while she is cleaning up yet another (whirl) pool underneath our fridge.

I had purchased a microwave oven on 18 April 11 and they delivered it to me without accessories. As I was a first time user, I didnt have any idea that the accessories are available with the oven. However, when I came to know after 5 months, I asked them about it and they did not respond to me properly. Even when a Whirlpool engineer visited my residence, he did not ask for the accessories for the demo purpose.The warranty paper has not been filled out by the dealer or the engineer; it is still blank. I tried to put a complaint through the customer care number but they did not respond to me properly.

The stove is okay except it scratches on its glass surface fairly easy with the non-stick pans. Also wished it had a self-cleaning oven. Its not the easiest to clean on the inside of the oven. The knobs are easy to use but its hard to navigate knobs to low to keep food warm rather than cooking at a low temperature. It has strong exhaust fan that really does its job.

This refrigerator is only days old and I realize the mistake that was made in buying it- it is far too noisy! When it is running I can hear it in my basement- sounds like a car in my driveway idling with no muffler!!! And when it stops running, it gurgles loudly for 10-15 seconds. Dont even start on the door being hard to pull open after the door was recently opened.

Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washing machine: You wont believe this until you call a parts replacement place for tiny part. The plastic (or vinyl) lid hinge bearings are located at hinge corners of lid. Hinge pin passes through them, one on each side. Half the size of a penny, UNCONSCIONABLE greed at the price of $32-$33 dollars EACH when ordered from a parts place. IMHO, design by INTENTIONAL failure to fail after three or four years. As a result, the lid will not stay up on its own. Then you find out the horrible news which is an insult to intelligence. Id have expected to pay maybe two or three dollars each, but NEVER the price they are demanding. Theyve got you and there is NOTHING you can do about it. At that rate, parts would run tens of thousands of dollars to replace the entire machine, part by part. These greedy clowns make car dealers look like reasonable people! The LAST Whirlpool machine of ANY kind we will EVER own!

I bought a new Whirlpool French Door bottom-freezer refrigerator at Lowes in September 2010. I started seeing ice form in the bottom of the freezer compartment in July 2011. I cleaned it out, thought maybe the door had not sealed good. In a few weeks, it had formed again. I checked for leaks at ice maker. I noticed a condensate was also freezing on the back wall. I called Whirlpool in October 2011 to see what could be done, since the problem began before warranty had expired. (The warranty expired in September.) I was told by 3 different Whirlpool reps that they would not cover any of the costs of repair, but they suspected it was the auto defrost system and they would be glad to line up a repair person.Most of my appliances over the last twenty years have been Whirlpool, and I have had good service out of them other than a microwave that had a recall and that Whirlpool repaired. I was shocked that Whirlpool would not back up their product any better than this, especially since it is one of their higher-end models. Im not sure why Whirlpool has a customer service (or disservice) line to call. They were very uninterested in helping me. I can call my own repair person. I was insulted by the manner that the helpline personnel spoke to me. My experience has convinced me to try a different brand other than Whirlpool for all my future purchases.

The washer and dryer are great. They were a reasonable price and they have not failed on me yet. Thank God. I like the little reservoirs where you could put your fabric softener and soap which this one does not have but it was a good price so I ended up purchasing it. The whole family puts all their clothes in it and it runs on a daily basis so I have nothing bad to say about it. Thats for sure.

I agree with the comments already made. My crisper drawer plastic rectangular piece just literally decomposed! It shredded into little pieces and cracked and broke, dropping one side of the draw set. I called about it - nope, not under warranty - replacement cost? Merely $150 so my drawers could be in the refrigerator. Also, because of the stress of the angle the drawer holder was when it broke, it cracked the drawer at the back - and the drawer had one grapefruit in it at the time. (Not considering replacing - cant imagine what that would cost when the little brace piece approx 14 was so expensive.) The flap - yeah, it split. I am a single person, no kids EVER in my refrigerator and I travel so much that I am barely home 20% of my days. The refrigerator gets very little activity opening and closing the doors yet the flap sliced. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN??? With any break in the seal as they called it, the refrigerator starts collecting moisture inside (and I live in the desert so we have very little moisture in our air) and drips or starts causing frost build up on the icemaker. Yesterday, once again, the icemaker stopped working. When I asked about replacing the flap I was told the entire seal needed to be replaced @ the cost of $232 PER DOOR!! Right now with just the plastic rectangular piece and the bar between the two drawers (BTW the rollers on the frame are not included with the frame purchase they announced) I have $614 in repair parts WITHOUT fixing the icemaker! Last night water was running in my refrigerator from the icemaker. I WILL NEVER BUY OR RECOMMEND WHIRLPOOL TO ANYONE EVER AGAIN. I have been a Whirlpool ONLY customer for over 45 years!!!! They told me that I had to schedule an appointment with a service person at a minimum of $100 cost to me - JUST TO FILE A COMPLAINT with Whirlpool! They only take complaints from service people submissions. I advised the Whirlpool representative to start looking for another job because if this was the way they treated lifelong customers, her job may be eliminated due to No Customers! Stainless steel, easy to adjust, cools very well installed in a RV instead of standard RV fridge. Took a little bit of carpenter work to make Whirlpool fit but well worth the effort. The only problem I have with the fridge is that whirlpool wont honor the warranty because it is installed in a RV.

We purchased the model WFC7500VW, 24” washer and accompanying dryer in June of 2015. Within a couple of months, the water pump went; also we continually had to take the front panel off and clean out the filter when we get an A11 code! Now we experienced an F06 code... This code means the washer can’t go into high speed. The repairman (Whirlpool recommended), told us that a new tachometer motor, etc would run $500-$800 with labor! He also said that the noise the drum made was bad. My dryer works fine (only complaint is the grinding noise it makes, which Whirlpool told me is normal)... I would like to purchase a new washer, but don’t know what will fit under the dryer. I do not want ANY Whirlpool product!

We bought this dishwasher because it was rated on the quieter side... It was purchased in 1999 and is still operating like new. I am amazed it has never broken down. I have wanted to replace it but my wife says Why?

I got a Whirpool Cabrio Washer that I purchased in 2008. I am constantly getting ul code. If washer is leveled, it leaks water out the bottom rear of the washer. Its a piece of junk. I called Whirpool to no avail. Whirpool will not stand behind their product. They know they have a problem but wont do anything about it.

Oct 14th I walked down to our basement to find it flooded. Turns out the leak came from the solenoid that controls the water feed to our Whirlpool Gold Series refrigerator. Now, some $28,000 in damages later - floors/cabinets/walls/electronics - you name it. The repair company said that they replace these units a lot as it is simply a faulty design and Whirlpool knows this as this part is very difficult to obtain - too much demand. Well aside from the cost, the inconvenience, and the rise in our insurance rates the repair person said there was a good chance of the new part failing as well - it just cant take the water pressure as it is just cheap plastic. My advice - stay away from Whirlpool!

When I grew up, my mom and dad had a Whirlpool dishwasher and it was the ONLY dishwasher we EVER had. The SAME one, for over 20 years! So, with confidence, I purchased a mid-range unit. (over $600 2015). By 2016, ONE year later, I was already buying replacement parts because the top rack was falling apart and the bottom spinner broke as well. The parts were extremely expensive and hard to find. Now, a mere 4 years later, you cannot find ANY parts for this machine and there are so many issues with the unit. It is no longer functioning. When it did work it ran for 4 HOURS!! Even then, the dishes are filthy. I am so upset by whirlpool. I want a full refund from the company for treating their loyal customer so badly.

Both the washer and dryer make terrible screeching noise. The dryer only dries on time drying. The store I bought them from have been here over 7 times too fix them. They still are not fixed. Just a terrible experience with this set from day one, load one.

We purchased it from Best Buy. It was a good thing we got the extended warranty. They completely rebuilt it two times. In the 6 years we have had the washer. The motherboard went out. The bearings went out. The only thing nice I can say is that it’s a top loader and doesn’t get smelly like the front loaders do.

I purchased this Cabrio top loader washing machine (model #WTW5640XW3) after I had a Kenmore front loader for 14 years with not one problem. I bought the Cabrio thinking it was good for the price. Well, let me tell you first of all, I dont like the no agitator. The salesman said it was a big seller. I started doing wash and it was smelling like dirty socks when it was done. I own the machine for two months. I cleaned the machine with Afresh thinking the smell on my clean clothes was from being a new machine. Imagine that I have to use extra fabric softener, vinegar. I dont know what to do. This machine stinks. I am going to try to return it. Wish me luck. I dont think it washes right.

It’s the same thing as all other reviews. The Duet washer’s eating my clothes and shaking violently, even with small loads. Forget a service call from Whirlpool - they say nothing’s wrong and I have to pay for the call. The service guy talked to me like I have never done laundry before. This is my third Whirlpool and my last. The first two were great, but the new Duet is a nightmare. Buy Samsung or LG because the Sears brands are made by Whirlpool and they are just as bad from all reviews I have read.

I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio yesterday. When I went to use my new washing machine it did not work. So basically I have a brand-new washing machine that is a lemon. I will highly recommend do not buy any Whirlpool products.

I am along with all the others regarding this last washing machine I bought - the Cabrio. I read all the instructions, did all that the manual told me to do and yet I have become more and more disappointed. Unfortunately, I guess we are all up the creek without a paddle, huh? There is my husband and myself in the home, so there isnt a ton of laundry. The problem has been that the clothes just kind of get sloshed around in a little bit of water, causing detergents not to get rinsed out. In other words, I have detergent streaks on the clothes. Presently, I have decided that I will probably have to re-rinse everything after the regular cycle. This has been so disappointing. We have always used Whirlpool machines. I have had two people in the past two weeks ask me about which to buy, and I have encouraged them not to buy the Cabrio because if they do, they will be stuck like me! The company asks me if I want an attorney to contact me. Who has money for an attorney? I just would like to have a different machine to replace the mistake I bought into.

At after 4 years of use, my double door refrigerator is giving cooling problem. Upper refrigerator part has excessive cooling and lower part has no cooling... after complaints in customer care, engineer was sent who changed the part that regulates auto cut... it gets blocked by ice so cooling air is not reaching lower part. Once changed exactly after 5 days same problem started... In spite of complaints no one came to check for good 2 wks. After long fight, it was defective board that was changed again. After 3 days same problem again, board was changed... Now after 2 and half month same problem. And now today service center has replied that engineer will be sent after one week.

Installers left and Home Depot Cabrio washer stopped with water left in tub. I reset GFIC outlet, tried again and it stopped. Did some research and tried different outlets. Same result. I discovered that if you shut off machine as soon as the GFIC is reset, then the washer will drain no matter what. I have been on the phone with Home Depot and they have no solution but to wait one week for a repairman. Very dissatisfying service. Now I am running a 20 foot, 3 prong, heavy duty extension cord into living area where there are no GFIC outlets and it has been running. I believe there is a fault in the washer, but they must not care if we get electrocuted from the faulty grounding of their Whirlpool product.

Avoid Whirlpool at all cost. I have had the GSS series, which was horrible. It was declared unfixable by service after 2 weeks of ownership. It was replaced with a similar WP model WS series and was told it was basically identical to the GSS series except for some cosmetic differences (They do look identical and yes, it’s just as horrible as the GSS.). The first one was defective from day 1. It was replaced and assured the next one would be thoroughly checked out prior to delivery. Obviously, nobody did this (was still in box and never opened). The fridge arrived and had the same exact defects as the previous units. Service literally said these were junk and they had nothing but issues with them that they simply cannot fix, and issues Whirlpool is obviously aware of but will not admit to, nor back up their products. Service literally told me to avoid WP at all cost or I will have nothing but non-stop issues and non-stop service calls and the fridge will still not be fixed. I purchased the extended 5 year warranty that clearly states that the fridge will be fixed or replaced if deemed non-repairable. Mine was! Yet, neither Whirlpool nor the retailer will do anything. I was literally told Take it to the dump and go buy a new fridge by both Whirlpool and the retailer. My purchase was less than a year ago. The 3rd fridge has only been here 3 months. They took my $1,500. They took my money for the extended warranty. It has been declared non-repairable, yet Whirlpool’s and the retailer’s response is Too bad, we are keeping your money, not honoring the warranty. We don’t care if it’s non-repairable. Take it to the dump and buy a new one.This is new! The money it cost, the money for extended warranty, the money for lost food, the money for lost wages due to having to be here for repeated service calls, the huge amount of time spent using hair dryers and everything else under the sun (this fridge must be baby sat and monitored pretty much 24/7 due to more issues than I can list). The fact this fridge has taken over my life, with freezer and fridge unusable (totally unusable, it has taken over my life, but I still can’t use it and spend a fortune getting take-out food) is just shocking, but more shocking is the fact neither WP or the retailer (the blue one that starts with an L, ends with an S and competes with HD the orange store) will stand behind the product or the warranty and instead is telling me to flush multi thousands of dollars down the drain and take my new, with extended warranty, to the dump and buy a new one. Calls to both companies only led to more wasted time and frustration.I don’t even see how this can be legal. They happily took my money. They fully explained how I needed the extended warranty in case something like this happens and assured me the extended warranty would protect me in case something goes wrong for 5 full years. They will replace it with a new one if un-repairable. Yet in less than a year, Ive gotten 3 defective ones with the last one only 3 months old with the first service call made on the day after delivery, but I’m supposed to throw all this money down the drain, take my new fully warranted fridge to the dump and buy a new one?!Shocking and not something I can afford to do. If I could afford it, I would get this thing out of my house in a heartbeat and buy something else, but I’m not made of money so this is not an option. Not sure what I can do other than to warn others to avoid Whirlpool and avoid the retailer (L---s). I’m just in shock and to say I’m upset would not even come close to describing my utter disappointment and frustration with both companies and this whole ordeal (never ending nightmare is more appropriate).

Whirlpool Clothes Washer Model WTW4930XW1 - We have experienced tub overfilling on (2) separate occasions with this washer model in a period of time of less than (2) years. Through extended warranty service purchased, a technician came out the first time; declared nothing explainable to cause the malfunction, re-calibrated the control panel, and off he went. This second event occurred much the same as the first; happened to walk in to notice water on laundry room floor and witnessed overflow out the lid on top. We have carefully washed additional loads after this second event without a similar malfunction. From my online research, this sure sounds like a faulty pressure switch not sensing high water level in the tub. Any other thoughts?

I have spent more money in the last year to fix this piece of crap. So very disappointed!!! I have lost $$ of food because fridge does not cool.. Ice maker is a joke... I am going to call someone out for the 4th time... Costing me a fortune... Very disgusted with this product.

We purchased a side by side Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer in June 2011 and have had nothing but problems with this piece of crap appliance. Ice maker has been repaired 3 times, water line clogged twice because of freezing and thawing. Now the machine only cools both sides to 45 degrees F. I am having a repair person come out on Monday to tell me what is wrong but I am so upset with the poor workmanship of this product I dont want to put another dime into the repair. We paid $1100 on this and have paid at least $600 in repairs over the past 4 years!! I agree with all of the other comments on the poor manufacturing choices. We had a GE prior to this and it lasted 10 years but we had the same issues. Repairing it every few years. I am not sure what brand to purchase next. If anyone has a suggestion I would be open to it.

I bought on 14/4/12 a Model-205 Orchid Wine refrigerator. The defrost knob was replaced by service last month, as it was not working. For the past four days, there are lots of water formation on the freezer door and vegetables are getting spoiled due to water formation. I request them to replace the refrigerator.

I bought a Whirlpool washer and drying matching set (model 6400sw3). I liked it because it was extra large without agitator in the middle. Ive had it for about 2-3 years and I have already replaced the drain pump, motor and barrens, it has cost me over 500.00. I thought now OK its working fine, but now its giving me a code every time I wash of LD. I am so fed up with this!! I should have bought a new washer but I felt as much as I put into it, I basically built a new one. And now this code comes up every time and I have to power it off. Im not sure if anyone else has had this problem but I just dont know what else could go wrong with this. I will never ever buy a piece of junk like this again!!

We had a Whirlpool washing machine 650s, fully automatic on 28.07.2011 at M/s. Next Showroom Reference bill number 910, Sr no INF **. We had attended, 2 times, a problem with the digital board. After advice from your Whirlpool service person, we had fixed it cutout (make whirlpool), but now, its the same fault with the digital board. Kindly take further action regarding this same problem and sort this out immediately without any further reminder.

I purchased an HIE washer one year ago this month. I have never been happy with the cleanliness of the clothes when they came out of the wash. The only way to get them moderately clean is to wash a few items at a time and even then the whites, especially socks, seem dingy. I noticed the new Whirlpool washers now have an extra setting to add more water to the machine, so the executives have realized there is a problem with the original model.I think Whirlpool should give all customers who previously purchased the models without this feature a trade-in option to get the newer model that fills with more water or for another model with the full spindle that has worked well for so many years. I have been very unhappy with the performance of this washer and would only hope the executives would do something to resolve this problem and satisfy previous customers.

This Whirlpool washing machine is over 5 years old and very reliable, I use it several times a week and have had no problems with it. Next time I will purchase a larger capacity machine so I can wash comforters and spreads easier.

I bought a Kitchenaid dishwasher (It is owned by Whirlpool) from Trail Appliances. After 11 month the machine didnt work. It was under warranty. It took more than two months that they sent a technician to fix it. Less than one week after repair it broke again, same problem. Now we have to wait for another two weeks for technician to come. It is tough for us without dishwasher for such a long time. I learned Whirlpool is not a reliable company and I will never purchase products from this company any more.

I purchased a Whirlpool wash machine and dryer from Home Depot 3 years ago. From the outset we had problems with both units. Wash machine spin cycle does not work properly, and that causes a problem with getting clothes dry. Some soiled clothes will not clean properly and have to be hand washed. Dryer rarely works on one cycle, towels and bed sheets have to be run through a second cycle. These are NOT energy savers. Garbage product, I will never buy Whirlpool again.

We have had our Whirlpool Cabrio washer for quite a few years. I agree that the machine is a piece of garbage. Every load is unbalanced. You have to stand there when the spin cycle starts, with your finger on the pause button, so you can rebalance the load, which is no easy task. My 80 minute whitest whites cycle took 2 1/2 hours to complete. Thank goodness I started the load at 5:30am. I hate this washer and anytime I am in an appliance store and see someone looking at it, I inform them it is a piece of junk. I havent contacted Whirlpool because I know they wont help with any issues were having.

We purchased the Cabrio Agi top loading washing machine in 2011 (3 years ago). After 2 years it started leaking from the plastic drum (Bearings?). Luckily we have it in the basement on concrete floor, so there was no damage, just frustration. This was poor purchase on our part. We should have searched for more reviews. The wash time is ridiculous; it is too long, an average of 50 minutes per load. I dont know about how clean the clothes were, I guess they were OK. I didnt notice a smell, or them looking dingy. The Cabrio is a piece of junk if the bearings went out after 2 years?? We just purchased a heavy duty Speed Queen, top loading, agitator washer. My wife loves this, its like the old Maytag we had. They told us they wont be selling these washers after next year. Buy them while you can. The Cabrio is headed to scrap yard.

There seemed to be an issue with the Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Pump. If a button comes off from your clothing or snap, etc., it gets trapped in the washer pump, causing it to crack and leak. Whirlpool on warranty only allows for one free change and anything after that costs $300.00. This is going to be the third time we are having problems with this and it is becoming, economically, a struggle for us. We have checked every button and snap to make sure they are fastened tightly, as well as any other type of items that may fall off in the wash and become trapped in the pump causing it to crack and leak. These pumps were poorly made and Whirlpool needs to be more aware of this problem rather than telling the customer that they are not aware of the situation.

Burners always needed replacing and now do not work anymore - Whirlpool range looks nice, but very expensive to maintain. The burners constantly needed replacing, they do not heat up. I got a repair technician to look at it. He replaced the parts that the burners hook into. Now they do not heat up at all. Well, one of four barely boils water. The oven still works, oh great. The thing is only 7 years old. I have had ovens that lasted 20+ years at my dads house or 15 years at another house I lived in. With all the negative comments and the repair guy who tried to fix it, I think it is time to get the kids Easy-Bake Ovens out of the storage or buy a new range. Obviously, it will not be a Whirlpool. So many negative comments people left, my useless top burners seem mild comparatively.

Cabrio washer 2015 model - The worst washer in 40 years. Everytime I use it I ask myself why did you buy this? Sure it conserves the amount of water but I havent noticed a nickel in savings because you have to wash the same load a couple of times. Since the days of cleaning in a stream clothes have been beaten to remove soil. How in gods name was I fooled into thinking this washer would actually clean our clothes. I put a folded tablecloth in it and when I emptied it the tablecloth was still folded. IF YOU NEED A CLOTHES WASHER TO ACTUALLY CLEAN CLOTHES, DONT BUY THE KIND WITHOUT AN AGITATOR. Ive had the WDF510PAY dishwasher for 3 years and the circulation pump broke. To be more specific the impeller inside the circulation pump warped and then basically got lodged because it became oblong and then it wouldnt pump water to the spray arms etc. I bought a new pump because the warranty only last a year. The pump cost around 90 bucks. After not even 1 full year this factory replacement pump failed again. I reviewed other Whirlpool dishwashers more expensive and I found they all have this same junky circulation pump. Im not sure of a better dishwasher but I would never recommend a Whirlpool dishwasher again. They also use the same circulation pump in Maytag and many other brands. Whirlpool or whoever designed and sold this pump to Whirlpool should be tracked down and beaten. Simple products like dishwashers should last more than 3 years. The technology is nothing new. A product should last 10 years at least.

I am very disappointed with my purchase of the Whirlpool Refrigerator Model # WRF535SMB. As soon as the warranty ran out, it began having problems with ice build up in the bottom of the freezer. I see this is a common complaint and wish I had read the reviews earlier. The appliance is only 3 1/2 years old. Other complaints - impossible to clean the freezer. Mold build up on the seals. Glass plate shattered in a thousand pieces when I very gently set it on the counter.French doors, white, freezer at the bottom.

Front load is terrible. Doesnt wring clothes thoroughly. Runs for 1 hour on fastest cycle. A HUGE WASTE OF ENERGY! NOT A GOOD MACHINE!!! Our clothes are wet always after the spin cycle. It also doesnt do small throw rugs. Awful!

Last year I purchased a Whirlpool washer at the suggestion of a friend who works at Lowes. It was dented and reduced, but my 20 year old Maytag, although still chugging away, was due for replacement. Am I sorry I did! My husband has recently broken his hip and we were caught in Hurricane Matthew just 1 day after I brought him home. We were forced to evacuate. Upon returning with a mountain of laundry, I found my washer lock light blinking although the washer had not been running when we lost power. I tried opening it but could not. I unplugged and reconnected power to no avail. I called customer service only to find we had to wait 2 weeks for a Whirlpool repair person. He arrived yesterday (Oct 26, 2016) and charged $95.00 to tell me this was an almost universal problem with Whirlpools and the company was aware of it. He called this morning to tell me the required part would cost $495.00! The entire washer cost approx. $500. He stated that he thought Whirlpool should have covered the cost as it was not far out of warranty and a known defect, but he could not get Whirlpool to assist financially. I tried calling myself for an explanation of the fact that they knew these machines had a defective part and yet they sold them. I got a song and dance from the rep. Although my husband was unable to help and I am a 65 year old woman, I went out and bought the cheapest machine I could and manhandled it home and connected it. It is afternoon and I am on my 4th load of well overdue laundry, no thanks to Whirlpool. I intend to make this story public through every internet forum I can find. I have a large extended family and friends and I will make sure they do not purchase Whirlpool appliances if they are looking for a good product and good customer service. I was a salesperson for GE for years and thought that they made the best washer for several reasons, but eventually had to purchase another washer which was a Whirlpool. Have been very pleased with my choice and would purchase a Whirlpool again. Washer is 14 years old.

Within six months of moving into our new condo, the microwave started making noises like something was loose - like a fan or something - it would sound as if something was catching and would be quiet and then begin making noise. Mostly noisy but once in a while quiet performance. In talking with adjacent condo owner, he said his had just started making the same noise. Asked some of the other neighbors; many said the same thing. Some had theirs repaired; others were ignoring. We had all moved in within a few months of each other in our Phase of completion.Called Decker and Sons where microwave purchased; they said Too bad. Call Whirlpool direct. I did. Was told I could pay to have repaired through a service company. When I said several residents had been having the same problem and it would seem a recall should be made, I was told that 250 similar complaints had to be received before a recall would be considered. If I could find that many, I should contact Whirlpool. Well, that was obviously not possible. My next door neighbor had his repaired before he sold his unit; the new owner recently said she had just replaced the Whirlpool stove because of the poor oven performance (which I have also experienced even though I ungraded) and microwave due to the noise it made. I have also learned that three other neighbors paid over $100 each to have their microwaves fixed over the last few years. I have just continued to use mine. Today an error message came up but a motor noise continued. Came to my computer to check on Error Message meaning and found this site and registering complaint for an obviously poorly constructed/engineered microwave. Obviously, Whirlpool does not care or listen. I will not buy another Whirlpool appliance! I will do my best to warn anyone purchasing appliances to not buy Whirlpool. Had the company admitted poor quality, no problem, as a production problem can occur but to knowingly disregard and ignore is inexcusable.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio with the touch panel and top loader. The absolute worst. The machine leaves white marks all over dark clothes even when the extra rinse feature is used. Ive tried multiple detergents, skipping fabric softener completely, using very little detergent, and even tried different water temperatures. Nothing works. And should one have to go through such extremes to not have white streaks left on dark clothes? Absolutely not especially for the money spent.The machine wrinkles clothes like I have never see before. The dryer usually gets them out but not always. They are mangled after washing. Using the first or second spin speed helps reduce some but they are wetter going into the dryer that way. If I wash bed clothes, the tight fitting sheet that fits snugly around the mattress must be washed alone. If not, all the other items end up encased in it as if youve intentionally packed it that way to carry everything around. This leaves everything absolutely soaked. I have also had shirts come out with dry spots on them. How does a piece of clothing come out of a washer with more than one dry spot on it? And no I did not over pack the machine.I have had no problems with the dryer. It does its job so no complaints on that. I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio to my worst enemy. Complete waste of time, money, and water!!! Very disappointed and will never buy from this company again and will prevent anyone else from doing so the rest of my life. Did the company do zero testing on this machine before selling it? Because I see a lot of repetitive reviews. Or the company was well aware and did not care and just wanted to make money? Either way is unacceptable. Garbage!!!

They will not honor the extended warranty on their fridge which Ive had for less than three years which will not defrost making me lose thousands in spoiled food. Extended warranties are contracts and this company should be penalized and shut down for fraud.

We purchased an Estate Washer for my 89-year-old mother in 2008. The paint has been peeling down to bare metal on the left top quarter from the corner down to the lid hinge for the past 2 years. I contacted customer service and was given probable causes, one of which was the washer might have gotten dusty! He said that could cause chipping. I reminded him the problem is peeling chunks, no chips, layers of paint. The warranty expired of course. The solution he offered was for me to buy paint from Whirlpool or Lowe’s, and paint it. I have had a Kenmore washer for 24 years. The paint is perfect, and it still runs great. I would never buy another Whirlpool product. The quality is atrocious.

We purchased our oven from Sears, and less than two years later, the oven would not cook a chicken. We do not use the oven very often. We grill out and use the top burners often. We had the oven repaired through our home warranty program, and now 8 months later, it seems to be occurring again.

It was obviously designed by someone who has never had to clean a refrigerator. There are grooves in the door gaskets seemingly making their sole purpose to collect crumbs and mold with no obvious way to keep them clean (No, Q-tips dont do it). A layer of ice forms below the basket in the freezer (bottom freezer) which, when it melts, soaks the kitchen floor. Ice must be chipped out at least every two weeks to avoid flooding.

I purchased a Whirlpool washer and dryer from Best Buy. I purchased one on sale that was a great value. The delivery and set-up went well. However, the model I have had a loud vibrate. The drum in the washing machine would wobble and shake across the floor. I finally had to return it and replaced with same model. I experienced the same issue after 30 days. I didnt take the insurance out and I regret that move.

I purchased 5 Whirlpool appliances when I moved into a new home approximately 5 years ago. The selection buttons on the plastic panels on the front of 3 (dishwasher, washer and dryer) out of the 5 appliances has either broken completely through or are in the process of breaking through, leaving an ugly appearance on the front of the appliances. When inquiring if I could replace these panels, I was told that one (dishwasher) would cost me $100.00. I believe that the structure of these panels has been extremely poorly manufactured. Why would you put perforation around each button? It is obvious that they would push through. What can Whirlpool do for me?

Are there negative numbers for ratings? Horrible, to say the least. Whirlpool is the parent name for KitchenAid ovens. I have an electric oven and the glass on the front door exploded! Whats worse is that I have been given the complete run-around! I have called, wrote, waited, and tried ordering through other companies--still no luck! How does Whirlpool get away with this? It seems that Whirlpool no longer makes the part!! Do they really expect consumers just to replace an oven every few years? Poorest customer satisfaction I have ever experienced! This should be a consumer fraud grand suit, as there are numerous complaints about the same issue with Whirlpool appliances! Stay away from this company by all means!

Whirlpool dryer and washers have the worst reliability, plus terrible customer service. Parts missing from factory install to faulty parts that constantly need to be replaced. Wasting precious time to meet with service repair people. Not worth it. Make products that are reliable and be accountable.

Whirlpool Auto Load Sensing - I bought the washer in Aug 2010 and it worked well until the timer went out this year. Its only 4 years old! The repairman said it would cost $350 to fix - the machine cost me $469 to begin with! Whirlpool builds a poor quality product and Id advise people not to buy their brand of anything.

Bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Dryer combination on 4-5-2009, had it delivered on 4-20-2009, was very excited to get this set as it was like my first ever brand new washer dryer. I thought Id spend the money get something good and it would last for years and years. Was I ever wrong. I bought the set and the extended warranty from Lowes and my total with delivery was 2579.00. 20 days after the extended warranty expires (that I never used) the bearings on my Washer go bad. This thing in spin cycle sounds like a jet engine. I called to see if Lowes would still honor my warranty because I never used it and they said no. I called Whirlpool and checked to see if there was a recall and they said no. I checked to see if there is anything they could do at all because this is a huge known issue and of course they said no. (Just look on YouTube for Whirlpool bearing replacement and the amount of views should indicate the amount of troubled users.)Called a repair scheduled through Whirlpools website to come look at it for a 75 dollar assessment and they said it would be about 500-550 to replace the outer tub - largely due to the fact its labor intensive and the bearings are packed in the outer tub from the factory. I was like are you ** kidding me? I paid 1029 for the unit brand new in 2009 and 550 to fix? I said thank you to the repair guy and escorted him nicely out. Upon that I called back Whirlpool to tell them how displeased I am and how I will not be another product of theirs ever and mostly due to the fact they know this is a huge issue and wont do anything about it. I will be going to Lowes to see if the guy who sold me this pile of crap will work me a deal on another unit or set of another brand after I show him my receipt and express my displeasure with that product. If they wont do anything I will go to another store and spend my money elsewhere - I have choices and others do too. So if you are thinking about buying anything in the Cabrio line, dont. Go Samsung or LG - 10 year warranty straight from the manufacturer and costs 200-300 less than I paid for my washer dryer 5 years ago. The bearings are ** and shouldve lasted a lot longer for the amount I used this machine and for what I paid! Shame on you Whirlpool for using crappy parts to make your machines.

We bought a Whirlpool model WFW5620HW front-load washer at Lowes. The unit shook so violently during part of the spin cycle that the Whirlpool-authorized service company technician said not to use it while parts were ordered. It seems the balance ring was not functioning. Parts ordered were shocks and tub assembly. The technician suggested trying to get a whole new unit, as the repair is so intensive he had only done one or two in his career.Whirlpool customer service said they would not replace the unit, and an escalated request had the same response. I think this is terrible customer service - when there is such intensive failure in the unit, they should provide a brand new machine. The work has not yet been done - we are without use of a washer for an unknown period of time, since the order of a tub assembly is so uncommon that they do not have a time estimate. Needless to say, we will never buy Whirlpool again, and suggest you do the same.

I purchased a Gas Stove from Home Depot on 11/23 and it was delivered on December 3rd. My God, Im having a dinner party tonight and the stove doesnt heat up past 170.. Unbelievable!! Need a replacement gas range. Tried to chat and call Whirlpool unsuccessfully. I am very one disappointed customer right now!

Atlanta Gas Light Company showed up at my door Saturday Jan 16, 2016 citing they needed to do maintenance on our meter. 20 minutes later, he came in and said we had a leak. He checked all of the furnaces and water heater, then zeroed in on my brand new Whirlpool Range (purchased 11/11/15) indicating it had a faulty control valve. This faulty and dangerous range was sold to me by Lowes and manufactured by Whirlpool and we had unknowingly been living with a gas leak for 2 1/2 months! Its notable that Atlanta Gas Light sends our contractors only every 3 years to test for gas leaks. I shudder to think what would have happened had they not done this. Ill never buy another Whirlpool anything. Model Number: WFG320M0BB0.

In 2/2007, I purchased a Whirlpool Duet Front Load Washer (GHW9400PW) and have had constant F06 failures. After the repairman debrided the pump, he felt the issue might be electrical, if not resolved, it will fail again. Now, it needs a $400 to $500 electrical system and cannot be guaranteed that will end failures as these washers have had many problems. It cost $1000 and only lasted 4 years before the failures appeared. Whirlpool only offers a one-year warranty, which is not enough to cover the future problems these machines are prone to developing.

I bought front-loader WFW8540FW1 in November 2017 from Lowes. I keep having problems with the washer not turning on. I am waiting for the repairman to come. Had repair done in March, May, and now June. I have gotten new electronics for replacement from Whirlpool each time. Obviously something is defective. Is there a lemon law for washers? Hope so. Never buy Whirlpool Washer again!

I purchased for over a thousand dollars a whirlpool propane hot water tank. Three months later the safety heat thing that turns it off is defective yet I have to pay for shipping on this. Then again every three months. Its been a year and a half and the damn thing just blew up and almost took my house with it. I paid for a product that works not one that needs replaced yearly. But do they care? Nope. 2 weeks before someone can even look at it. I plan on reviewing until whirlpool isnt purchased by anyone again. This is a brand that was supposed to be quality, instead its just a scam!

I purchased a side-by-side Whirlpool refrigerator in May 17, 2010 from Lowes in Gilroy. After 17 months of service, the compressor went down this morning. I have called the service center and they cant give any help because it was over the 1-year limited warranty. More than $500 is good for just 17 months usage. Would it be worth it to have Whirlpool appliances? Do think about it before you choose a Whirlpool refrigerator.

It took several delivery attempts to get a refrigerator without cosmetic flaw and it only lasted four years before Freon leak in evaporative system occurred. It would have cost more to repair than replace. Needless to say, I replaced it with another brand.

Got a simple error code E6 F2 on the display of my oven (only 8 years old). Called Whirlpool to schedule a repair. They told me there were no available dates for one of their techs to fix my unit. They referred me to 3 outside companies that wanted to charge me over $100 just to come out and take a look. One of the phone numbers to the companies they referred me to was a wrong number. I asked them to tell me what the error code means and they said they couldnt tell me with any degree of accuracy. (What use is an error code, then??!!) I checked all over the internet and different websites say it might be a control board (over $300 for the part) issue. But several techs also said that it is a crap shoot and could also be a Temperature Sensor. I called back Whirlpool to see if they could get me a deal on the part. But, guess what? They dont sell it anymore...in fact they dont even sell their own parts at all!! And, they transferred me to some outside company that refused to even give me part numbers, to avoid me shopping for a better deal (which I did end up finding on Amazon after number 6 below). I called back Whirlpool and after getting transferred around to 2-3 different people and wasting about an hour I finally got someone who finally wanted to just give me whatever decent service they could and they finally got me the part numbers of the 2 different control boards (Main Control Unit and Sister board that controls the locking mechanism, $367 and $140 respectively). Now I am faced with paying an Appliance Repair person over $500 for what seems to me is a BIG FAT LEMON of an appliance due to the sheer number of unsatisfied people that are having the same issue, have had it fixed, and had the error just return again. THUS.... WHIRLPOOL AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEIR PRODUCTS JUST SUCK!! AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE! THE LEAST THEIR COMPANY COULD DO IS TRY TO HELP FIX THE PROBLEM, NOT EXACERBATE IT BY GIVING SHADY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND REFUSING TO HELP FIX THE PROBLEM!!!

I could echo all of these complaints and more. I just gave up on the heater, junked it, and went to Home Depot and bought a Rheem. Recommendation: NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL!

My washing machine stopped working. I called customer service and got through to Tonya, in the Benton Harbor, Michigan call center. She was wonderful! Living is SW Florida, were having a difficult time right now dealing with the aftermath of Irma. Tonya is an angel during this trying time! The door handle is cracking on my Whirlpool microwave. This is a poor experience with Sears. My original door was smoked up from a kitchen fire. I replaced the door and handle in June. My boyfriend does all the cooking, so I did not notice the handle until November. It is cracking on the side. We contacted Sears, and they said it was past the warranty. This problem is due to a defective product. I have seen several similar complaints online.

Something inside the machine broke causing it to tear up my clothes! I had it repaired once, now it is 4 months outside warranty and it is destroying my clothes again. (Less than 30 days from purchase date). 3/21/2018 called Whirlpool again as same problem continues (as listed above). Washer is not being overloaded. Whirlpool repair visit scheduled again for 3/23/2018. This is the 2nd repair time since we purchased the washer on 2/28/2018. Purchased the same model 2 years ago, and experienced repeated problems to the point where we got rid of that machine and purchased the most current model referenced here. We are looking for a full refund of the purchase price as it appears that this recently purchased machine is on its way to be a repeat performance of the 1st machine that we got rid of (that was purchased 2 years ago). Again, we want the full purchase price refunded, which is $900.88. This machine is not even 2 months old. Thank you.

Bought it less than 2 months ago. It doesnt wash. It doesnt spend. It works every 2-3 hours if Im lucky. Its the worst product ever. Its not like it was refurbished. It was brand new. Smh. I thought it would save me money by buying a washer. Off to the laundromat I go. I do not recommend this product especially to someone who has a family and on a budget.

I bought all new Whirlpool appliances for my house. After three years, the dishwasher is now broken and the washing machine is now broken as well. The refrigerator has had service two times in the past three years. The only thing that works is the stove that I bought. Whirlpool is all junk.

The silverware comes out all spotty and water stays inside cups and on dishes. I am going to have to replace all my utensils. They are so spotted that they look filthy. Knives, forks, spoons and all serving utensils. I have used this brand new Whirlpool dishwasher from August, 12, 2016 to today Oct. 21, 2016. I am very upset.

Just like many other reviews about this brand - our microwave went bad after only 14 months of using it. Initially the door sensor would register - it wont operate even if the door is closed. Or it will keep going even if the door is open. I contacted BBB and the Whirlpool corporation regarding this safety issue. I pointed out that the safety mechanism is faulty and they should recall all of those models that have similar issue with door sensor. This is extremely dangerous for households with kids. There is a reason why this safety mechanism is mandatory in all microwaves! Whirlpool pointed out to me that I should not try to operate microwave with open door and refused to take any responsibility. Ive owned probably 10 different microwaves over the years and NEVER had micro go bad after only one year, yet alone have completely faulty safety mechanism. Consumer beware!

This is my second water heater in three years. The problem is the thermocouple thermostat. Also, when I drain the water, it comes out of the heater black because of the corrosion in side. I spoke to people in the company, and they were nasty to me. This happened to my two heaters in 2 1/2 years. Please, do not buy a Whirlpool heater.

First time owner of a Whirlpool range and will be the last time. Nothing but junk! I liked how the top grates were and electronic ignition. The knobs turn too easy and often when bumped will turn gas on without igniting. Very dangerous. The oven grates guides rusted almost immediately making it difficult to pull racks out. The oven light works sometimes. The glass on the oven door at the bottom came unglued. The bottom door under oven is a total waste. No use for it. In my adult life I have had different brands but this is the absolute worst and will never recommend this brand to anyone period.

Im guessing the company that makes Whirlpool appliances no longer make dependable appliances… bought home 2 yrs. ago. Bought Whirlpool over stove microwave and expensive side by side fridge. After 1 yr. microwave stopped heating. Now my fridge is no longer cooling. Have cleaned it underneath, did all a normal person would do. I replaced my microwave last year with a Maytag. I’m sure I will have to replace the fridge very soon. My stove is a Maytag. Dishwasher a Frigidaire... have had no problem. Just the Whirlpools… Will never buy another Whirlpool. Not just me, my niece bought a microwave. Her stopped heating after one year.

It has needed a new motor, new tub assembly, and about six other repairs. Now the heavy duty tub just thumps around and I get an uneven load message, even when running empty. It is the worst single machine I have ever purchased, with the possible exception of the Whirlpool matching dryer, which lasted about three years.

Worst washing machine ever, I should’ve kept my 12-year-old washer that leaked, it worked better and actually washed my clothes... This washer, the Cabrio 5.3 leaves clothes DIRTY, can’t use fabric softener because it doesn’t wash it out even with the extra rinse and deep water wash, leaves white ** on everything!!! I purchased this range 7 2013. I was a snowbird at the time so after November I went south. Upon returning my top oven when lit had a gas smell. It took three weeks to get someone out and was told it was the igniter and would cost 350.00 to fix. I then called dte gas for them come out as I have full house warranty. Since then five calls a new igniter and a new board just put in two weeks ago the board doesnt work. This unit has been discontinued. I would like to know why. And if there is a class action suit against. Whirlpool. Co.

I have raised complaint regarding my refrigerator and changed compressor and they given me 1 year warranty but after 3 days again compressor gone and they have came and replaced that and taken service charge. Again after one month compressor giving problem and freeze is not getting defrost.. Again I called to customer care but again they want Visiting charge.. Really pathetic Service I ever seen. And customer care people does not know how to handle client and repeating same line. Dont buy anything from Whirlpool.. its worst service provider.

We just purchased this Whirlpool Washer. It is so awesome. Has all the many features I was looking for & we purchased it on sale. But really since using my washer I would buy it again even if it wasnt on sale. I love it. I have never been disappointed with Whirlpool. Everything I own in appliances is Whirlpool.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator model #wrt1litzyv along with the extended warranty from Lowes. The compressor stopped working just before the warranty was to expire and had to be replaced. The cost of repairs almost equaled the price of the refrigerator and took nearly 2 months for the reimbursement check to arrive. I had to call several times. They told me they hadnt received the paperwork even though I sent it registered mail and it was signed for and I had to resend it. Now, less than 4 months later, the refrigerator is again not working properly. Freezer is not freezing properly. Takes 2 days to freeze ice. This is the absolutely worst refrigerator Ive ever had. My last refrigerator lasted 20 years. This one is only 3 years old and of course, the warranty is now expired. I will never buy another Whirlpool product. And I will never buy a major appliance from Lowes either since they play games with the warranties. And after the refrigerator was repaired, Whirlpool tried to sell me another extended warranty. They wanted $308.60 for a 3-year warranty. Ridiculous that they dont stand behind their products. And try to sell more warranties instead of just manufacturing a good product.

12 months and 2 weeks, my ice maker quit working. I called Lowes where I purchased this top of the line junk. The first thing they asked was do I purchase the extended warranty. I said no. He advised to call a repairman he recommended, but I would have to pay for the repairs. Whirlpool was just as bad; no warranty, you pay. It appears they are both relying on warranties rather than selling dependable products or customer satisfaction. A couple months later, ice forming on the bottom of the freezer, and puddles every couple of days in front of the refrigerator. I pulled the two draws out and removed the ice. Within a week, it was back. A $2400 refrigerator should last longer then a 1 1/2 years without falling apart. My Whirlpool dishwashers only lasted 1 1/2 years also.

I have had my water heater for 5 years and the repair is going to be close to $300.00! Whirlpool offered to send me the part and if I want hot water tomorrow I can pay $30.00 for shipping! $10.00 for standard ground! My other water heater was builder grade and lasted 12 years! Go figure.

Whirpool has its main washers, then the off brand of Whirlpool. After using the washer after a few months the balance starts to get off balance. Trying to find parts and get them put in is easy, hard part is replacing them after they wear off after use a few months.

Whirlpool Duet washer and dryers extremely silent and energy efficient. However the wash time can be reduced, it typically takes 40 mins for a full load to wash. The dryer filter lining is fragile and breaks quickly.

I purchased a Whirlpool 40 gallon gas water heater from Lowes approximately 4 years ago. As of yesterday, the pilot will not light. I assume the t-couple is bad. But in the process of doing some research, I could not help but see that there is a quality problem with heaters manufactured around the time mine was. I dont have the model number with me at the moment. I would like to know what the permanent fix is for these heaters.

Wish I had done more homework before I purchased a Cabrio washer and dryer. The washer uses so little water that I sometimes find dry spots on clothing when I take it out. How can it possibly be clean if it doesnt even get entirely wet? I now pre-rinse all of my underwear before putting it in the machine. I know the instructions say not to put in wet clothing, but if it breaks sooner, Ill get to replace it sooner with a more traditional model. I always use the lowest spin speed - anything else makes my clothes hopelessly wrinkled. I like the large tub for washing blankets and comforters. Thats about the only advantage I can think of. The dryer sensor quite often goes off after about 2 minutes if I use any setting other than the delicate or timed features. Ive had the machines for 2 years and had the dryer repaired once under the extended warranty I purchased. Very disappointing purchase.

I have a Whirlpool Gold convection self clean oven. I have now purchased the fourth fuse in the past four years, which is the last time. I will never buy Whirlpool products again. The only fix is to order fuse before cleaning oven.

I am so disappointed in my whirlpool W10431035A gold series dishwasher. I bought this 2 yrs and 2 months ago on black Friday at a lowes. I wanted to have a whirlpool and I thought they were a good brand. It has been a little over 2 years and my dishwasher no longer works. The start button no longer works. It is not even that old and appliances should at least last 4 years. I could understand if the plastic utensil holder or dishwasher rack breaks...fine, you use plastic. But this is an intricate part of the dishwasher....the start button and it does not work. I am so disappointed in whirlpool. It is the start button...how can this break. The only thing I do is press normal cycle and the start button...that is it. How can this machine break so easily. How can whirlpool build and sell such a faulty product. So disappointed.

I bought my Whirlpool water heater from Lowe’s in 2010 and now 2 years later, the pilot light keeps going out. When I tried to buy replacement parts from Lowe’s, they stock parts for other brands but no parts for the brand they sell. The water heater is junk and Lowe’s is no help. We purchased our Whirlpool Duet model WFW9150WW01 13 months ago. The warranty was up at the one year mark. We chose not to purchase the extended service plan. After all, a washer should last at least five years right? Wrong! The front seal has gone bad. It is an $85 part plus shipping, plus hours of my time. So, I purchased a product that is supposed to conserve water and instead I am having to purchase a petroleum-based product (the rubber seal), as it would seem, every year or so! These companies have us snowed with the whole conservation bull! CFLs, High Effeciency, Bio Fuels, etc., its all a hoax! And it is a hoax at our expense. Does anyone just produce a good product anymore? Oh yeah, I forgot... Japan does! Our economy continues to go to hell while other countries are coming online. Get your act together, guys, before we lose everything!

As I write this my Whirlpool is roaring because a bearing is probably going bad. Ive owned this washer for maybe 5 years. They designed this washer poorly. If you leave change in your pocket as everyone does then it will end up in the bottom below the basket and get trapped. And it dislodges, and it will, when the drain pump engages it will blow the coin through and it will break the plastic housing. It needs two beads so that NO COINS can get through if you wash them. Very disappointed customer.

I have a new Duet Washer and it is a nightmare. It keeps throwing the same F8 E1 code. The repair people have replaced five parts and been out four times. I feel like I have been scammed out of $900. I will never purchase a Whirlpool again ever!

We’ve had problems with our fridge where after we had it for about 2 months a crack formed on the inside, the repairman came and put a piece of tape, tape on a new fridge I wasn’t happy. Then we had our stove for about a month and the front right element went it was replaced but to this day it works when it wants to and I brought this to the repairmans attention when he came to replace an element in the oven and he didn’t even offer to take a look at it. We called Whirlpool on the 27th of December to get service on the oven and was told nobody could get here until the 2nd of January. This ruined New Years Eve Plans, New Years Day Plans and our turkey which should have taken a max 5 hours on Christmas Day took 11 hours putting our dinner off until 8:00 pm. We purchased the extended warranty ($700.00) to protect us from high bills for repair and this oven issue ended up costing us about $800.00 for meals out. I asked at the time of my call if there was some kind of rebate to cover our meals and the inconvenience over the holidays and they told me no, that’s pretty bad for such a huge company. Our dishwasher which is also Whirlpool hasn’t worked since day one, we had a repairman out and all he said was, run your hot water before you use it and use Cascade, it’s no longer under warranty and there’s pieces falling off and I have to wash my dishes before I put them through the dishwasher so what’s the use of having one. We purchased all Whirlpool because of the reputation but well never buy Whirlpool again or recommend them.

I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio washer on 11/07/10. I brought it home, hooked it up, turned it on and water came pouring out the bottom. I should have known better then, but I took it back and got another one, same model. I dont even have it 2 years and its locked up. I had a repairman here and was told it needed a new water pump ($200 plus). There are 3 adults in my home so its not like I use it hard. I am really disgusted. This is the 3rd washer I bought from Whirlpool in less than 10 years. I went on the Whirlpool site and voiced my disappointment and my problems with their washers. I was told they take pride in their products and I should have a nice day. Yeah, right, they dont have to drag clothes up and down the stairs and then to a laundromat when theyre in their 50s with a bad knee and back. Yes, I will have a nice day when I get that piece of junk out of my house. I will never buy anything made by Whirlpool again.

My Whirlpool side by side refrigerator which is not 7 years old has had more repairs than you can imagine. After paying over $1,500.00, I have had a repair service come out at least 5 times. Today, they say I need a new compressor at the tune of $850.00. This combined with my other repairs would add up to around $1,300.00. I am certainly not going to invest any more money in this refrigerator. I wouldnt recommend a Whirlpool Gold for anything. Dont know which brand I am going to purchase now as they certainly dont make anything like they use to. Totally disillusioned!!!

I purchased a Whirlpool Duet front-loading washing machine on September 27, 2010. By October of 2011, it was making a loud grinding noise during any spin cycle. I called for service and was told I needed new bearings which entailed rebuilding the machine. I had purchased a 5-year extended warranty. I was originally told by the warranty company they would replace the machine.After waiting two months, and after several contacts made by me to the retailers customer service, I was told the machine would not be replaced, but repaired. After the repair, on January 6, 2012, the machine now rattles and shakes so much during the final spin cycles. It is literally impossible to have a conversation with someone standing next to you in the same vicinity as the washer, it is that loud. I am sorely disappointed with the Whirlpool line of products and with the retailer who has been dragging their feet on customer satisfaction.

I bought a semi automatic washing machine from Croma Store (Gurgaon) on 03/09/12 Model no A-72H* and I regret to say that the water direction changing knob (to change water flow from agitator to dryer), has broken. The machine is not even 4 months old and the water inlet is broken. How can this happen in a brand new washing machine? You claim to have durable home appliances products and your machine does not last 6 months? Can you see that the broken piece is attended to or replaced at the earliest?
