This washer (Cabrio 6th Sense Washer) is less than 4 years old and now needs $500.00 worth of repair. You have to replace the tub in order to replace the bearings. If your washer starts to make noises during the spin cycle, you are in for a big repair bill. I still havent decided if I am going to repair it or junk it. The towels always smell sour even if you wash them twice.

After reading endless stories regarding Whirlpool water heaters, I ended up here and read numerous complaints and every company response had the same message from Chris-- Go to whirlpoolwaterheaters.com/help. I went to the website and called the number (877) 251-1679. I spoke with the most helpful gentleman (Lenny) who helped me troubleshoot some things and even called me back to inquire regarding success and gave me other tips to check if the problem occurs again.

This washer was expensive, platinum line. Clothes never smelled fresh and clean like they should. There is not enough water to cover and clean. After 4 years it started smelling dank and unpleasant even after cleaning cycle is run. Now I discover it has been leaking for quite a while. It will be 6 years old in July. The top wont stay up. This happened months ago. The part alone is 250.00 according to several sites. I just prop it up. Very displeased with this poorly constructed, expensive rip off!

I paid about $3500 for this, alleged, top of the line fridge a little over 2 years ago. The freezer, bottom type, doesnt get cold enough to thoroughly freeze food. Called Sears, they said out of warranty, the same with whirlpool. But they can have a tech run a diagnostic check for $85. Here we go. An outdated computer costs more and lasts longer than their products.

In 2015 door of top loading washer (Whirlpool Cabrio Washer) needed total replacement. Lucky I had an extended warranty. 2018 March, extended warranty expired and now have the exact same problem. Pretty crummy product if major part like a door has to be replaced every 3-4 years. We do not wash large items like blankets/quilts in this machine. That goes to a laundromat where there are oversized machines or to a dry cleaner. So the only reason for this breakage is a default in the lid assembly. There is only one phone number for customer service, repair, parts etc. Put in my service call and filed a complaint at same time hoping for at least a small discount. Ha! $100 plus tax for service call- part price ranges from $150-230 plus tax. Whirlpool could tell me the part exists but would not say how long it takes to get it! Do NOT buy Whirlpool washer with top load lid that has glass window. Big problem is that Whirlpool now has Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, Maytag and Amana all under their umbrella.

Model WRS586FIEMO1, Serial # HR50801958. In December ice maker stopped dispensing due to cubes melting and clogging around the auger. After 3 service calls a new door was ordered with a delivery time of 4 o 6 weeks. Have spoken to and e-mailed several customer service people and am told it will be another 4 to 6 weeks. This has happened at least 3 times. In the meantime I must empty and clean the ice bin and surroundings every night or it freezes up and cannot be removed at all. Finally told them I no longer want a new door, I want a different model fridge. Was told they do not replace, only repair. It is now April and they have done neither. They did extend my warranty until December but at this rate that too will run out. Would never buy another Whirlpool appliance or any of the other brands that manufacture.

ECO friendly top load Whirlpool washing machine - I bought this machine September 2013. Now it has a continuous clicking sound. It appears to be the lid locking mechanism and the washing machine will not turn on. It is under warranty and I am finding it hard to get a repair service in my area that is directed to Whirlpool to come and fix it. The only appliance repair in our area states that they will charge for trip and service if they find that is not a defect within the Whirlpool perimeters. I could be charged up to $200 for trip and service which is half of what I paid for. Whirlpool states this is not the case, and I am now having to wait a week to even set up yet another appointment. I have other machines that lasted 7-10 years until they wore out. I am frustrated and what could be a simple fix has turned into a financial nightmare.

Front load is terrible. Doesnt wring clothes thoroughly. Runs for 1 hour on fastest cycle. A HUGE WASTE OF ENERGY! NOT A GOOD MACHINE!!! Our clothes are wet always after the spin cycle. It also doesnt do small throw rugs. Awful!

We bought our stainless and black Whirlpool stove last month. We love that its black topped, and doesnt show dirt. We love how the oven door seals, and the fast heat. What we do NOT love, is how easily the knobs turn. You barely brush against them, and gas leaking into the kitchen. I called for service. Our guy said yes, they turn easier than most of the stoves he has worked on. He called tech support from my kitchen, and I overheard the guy at the other end. His response was dismissive. I have had gas ovens for 20 years. They have without exception, had a spring type feeling to the knob. This stove has none. I am writing this so that if others are experiencing the same thing, they will see it is not their imagination. Something is wrong with the design of the knobs or some part is missing.

The electric Whirlpool double oven range seemed like a good choice for a single person. I bought it in 2016 around the same time I had some personal setbacks. After finding my emotional equilibrium I decided to return to my much loved baking. While I have no other complaints on this range the ovens are a problem for baking. The digital oven temperature readout doesnt reflect temperature fluctuations in the ovens. Once you enter your desired baking temp the readout never changes even after you open and close the oven door say to take out cookies. Given some of my poor results I suspect even when Im not opening and closing the oven door the temperature is not maintained. I was going to get an oven thermometer but the user manual says it wont reflect an accurate temperature due to way the elements cycle to provide a consistent temperature. Ha! If you want to bake this is not the range for you. My inconsistent results and too often wasted ingredients frustrate me no end.

Best microwave for your money. It is very quiet and easy to use. This microwave is very sharp looking and comes with all the bells and whistles that you need. I like the potato setting. You put your potatoes in and it will ask you some stuff and you press the button.

I have had many parts replaced on this refrigerator regarding ice maker. But nonetheless yesterday opened freezer and noticed a huge crack about 12 inches on the inside right of the freezer, not near a shelf or anything. I call today of course warranty is up after my 2 yr and Whirlpool says sorry maam there is nothing we can do. Seriously I purchased 2 years and 2 months ago @ $1560 and I’m told I would have to purchase a new one. I will never purchase another Whirlpool anything for we have had nothing but problems with them not standing behind their product. Model #GSS30C6EYY03. This is crazy to me. This is an ongoing problem. I have had to thaw the refrigerator (which takes over 24 hours). Then I blow out the drain with my air compressor, run water through, etc. The drain freezes up a good way down. It is a big pain in the **. There has to be a design flaw for this to continually happen. I paid for a repair man one time but he did nothing different from what I am doing. I cant afford the prices they charge. Shame on Whirlpool for making inferior products.

The plastic holding the vegetable drawers broke and now they are cracking because nothing is there to hold them in place. This fridge has a freezer on the bottom, which I like. Unfortunately, I had an Amana before this and it was wonderful- just old. I had to settle for a smaller refrigerator and that is part of the problem.

I purchased a Whirlpool washer 7 months ago, and a month ago, it broke. I have been without my washer for 1 month, and it has been repaired 4 times in that month. It is still not working. All I get is that, its under warranty, and there isnt anything they can do, but to keep trying to fix it. I have been having to take my clothes to a laundromat, and pay to have them washed. I have asked for them to deem it defective, but they refuse.

Whirlpool Water Heater FG1F4040S3NOV - I had this water heater installed in 2005 by a professional plumber and every year since like clockwork, I have to replace the gas control valve/thermostat. Last year, Sears came and did the work and made their arrangements to have the part replaced. This year 2012, March 9 my gas control valve went again. The unit is not even a year old and broke again. Unfortunately, the six-year warranty is up on the hot water tank. I called Whirlpool two times. The first time, the guy told me that the warranty was up and hung up on me! The second time, the guy would not honor the replacing of a part that is not even a year old yet. The money I spent over the six years making repair on it, I could have bought a new one. This company is nothing but a bunch of **. Is there anything that I can do? I have paid to replace this five years in a row.

I purchased the Whirlpool Duet Steam Washer and Dryer in the spring of 2010. Washer bearings just broke. I was told that the bearings in these machines are not strong enough to support the spin cycles. It is very disappointing to think that a company like Whirlpool would have their customers pay $1000 for a machine they know is not going to last. I agree with Julie. Maybe a class action lawsuit needs to be filed. Is there a lemon law for washing machines?

Whirlpool Gold Freestanding Accu bake Duo FIRE HAZZARD - We bought our house August 2013 and we were SO happy to see the stainless steel appliances and we thought Whirlpool was a good brand that our grandparents stood behind for years (they obviously havent bought from them in 50+ years... times must have changed for the worse). Anyway, I got all moved in and was fixing supper and noticed how REALLY dark and greasy the oven was. I could barely see inside because the coating of grime was so thick that it dimmed the light by being so thick over the glass bulb cover. I immediately thought Wow... the past homeowners were nasty and lazy because they have this nice self-cleaning oven and dont even bother to clean it. I noticed it smelled slightly like it had a gas leak somewhere when it was preheating but it cooked the supper okay that night.Because it was hotter than a jungle in NC in the summer heat of August, I decided to wait until winter to use the self-clean... thought it would warm the house as it got rid of the gunk, right? I kept using the dark coated oven about a total of 25 times and always noticed the faint gas smell at first when it would preheat. I thought maybe it was SO dirty that the oven seal wasnt working right and since it was now November, I figured I should just run the self clean cycle and maybe it would make it run properly as it was REALLY dirty and the igniter or something may actually be clogged. I figured it would probably stink a little at first when it started the cleaning cycle because of the excess build up but it needed cleaning so bad that I cleaned it... The smoke alarms started to go off, we just disconnected them for peace and quiet... Our throats and eyes were burning and it smelled more like plastic burning... FOR HOURS it was horrible! The walls and the Terracotta tile floor were flaming hot!!! The next morning the house actually smelled like it had caught on fire and it stayed that way for weeks!The oven was very clean inside after the cleaning BUT the oven is now totally useless! It will not stay lit. I have never been able to use it again as it will not come up to temperature... just clicks over and over and hisses trying to light. I tried again today and it started LOUDLY hissing like a big open gas pipe was on in there and I got scared and cut it off. THANK GOD it went off!I have been reading similar complaints about Whirlpool Gold ovens for a couple hours now and I am truly scared to use this oven now. After reading the comments of the hundreds of dollars it will take to get it to bake again and how most people STILL had the same reoccurring issues and NO help from Whirlpool... Well I decided to share my experience in hopes that if anyone else is reading this... and I am sorry to say... Well... you are not imagining the problem either. We never read these blogs like this BEFORE we buy or use our appliances, only AFTER something scares the crap out of you and you look for a recall. If I could afford to sue Whirlpool for a replacement then I would. Cabrio Washer mod# wtw6700yw1 - Washer and Dryer purchased 2011. Now washer will not complete entire wash cycle. Shut off after 3 mins lets all the water out. Now affects all levels of wash. Contact Whirlpool customer service. Sent repairman. Claims sensor board needs to be replaced. Costs $285.00 + $55.00 for labor + $79.00 service call total cost $419.00. Needless to say I declined the repair and now after reading all other complaints glad I did. This sounds like a money pit, just keep repairing and never being fix. Repairman suggested Speed Queen washer so now shopping around for new unit. Dryer so far still working.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW7340XW sounds like a small jet during spin cycle. The Whirlpool Cabrio Washers have a very well known and well documented problem with the tub bearings failing. Many many disgruntled owners have posted their complaints online, and there are many videos showing the issue on youtube. This issue is so prevalent that the manufacturer has created a tub bearing failure repair kit for $350. The repair is so expensive and labor intensive that many of the certified Whirlpool repair shops no longer work on the Cabrio washer stating that a better washer can be purchased for the cost of this repair.That said, the manufacturers customer service group denies that the Cabrio tub bearing failures is a common problem and are quick to state that Whirlpool holds no liability for this problem. Ramping the complaint up to a customer service supervisor is met with the same canned response. Regardless of the thousands of complaints Whirlpool is claiming that it is normal wear and tear for the tub bearings to fail. The manufacturer should recall the units for this manufacturing defect in the Cabrio design.

Whirlpool gold series wrf990slam02, just 2 years old bought from Lowes, and repairman just told me that it has a Freon leak which apparently happens often. Will have to replace some items that might fix it but he did not sound reassuring. RUN dont walk away from this brand. I looked up these refrigerators after this all started and they have a 1 star rating. I should have done my homework on this.

The beat goes on. My Cabrio washer is still down. After working for a mere 14 months, the control board died, and the machine would not spin out water. The repairman ordered a new one. Though the part arrived several days earlier than predicted, the repair service said they could not send anyone out, until our scheduled appointment. At last, today, the repairman arrived. I am ready to start whittling down the mountains of laundry we have stuffed in every closet. Some areas of my house are starting to smell like a locker room. It is not convenient for us to haul everything to a laundromat, or impose on a relative who lives nearby.The repairman was in the laundry room for at least 45 minutes, and then very apologetically tells us that the part is bad. It will not work at all. He has ordered a new one, and requested rush service, which I think they will ignore. I cant help but think these parts are manufactured somewhere outside the USA. Well, listen to this Whirlpool, I would rather pay $25 more for this part, and have your washing machine work. Dirty laundry might seem unimportant to you. It is not unimportant to us! If you cant do better than this, make something else. I am furious, and will spread this news to everyone I know, and I will report on this situation again.

Whirlpool WRS965CIAM - Consumer beware is what weve learned. Whirlpool has apparently not monitored the hundreds of complaints about this particular refrigerator model. Its sleek and pretty and has a ton of features and I was very excited about purchasing it. We havent moved into our home yet, but turned the refrig on the next weekend after closing, started painting rooms, even had some nice ice water. I came back next day to a very large amount of water all over my hardwood floors. We are talking bath towels. Who would know you are supposed to call Whirlpool directly? We sure didnt. We called Hart Appliances, where we purchased it from. They gave us a number to call for service on Monday. The repair guy came, didnt have what he needed, so he came back later in the afternoon and fixed it, until we came back next morning and the floor was again flooded... Again, we are talking bath towels. I called them back and was told it needed a part, that took 4 days to come. Its here today but they are not coming until Monday to fix. Customer service at Whirlpool has no record of calling out a serviceman. They wont have info until problem is fixed. According to folks on the internet sites, that could be months or never! Okay, ladies... am I ever going to trust that this refrig will ever be fixed? I wont dare go away for a weekend without fear it will leak all over my floors and ruin them. We were going to purchase a chest freezer and small full fridge for drinks and overflow to keep in the garage. Instead, thats where this fridge will end up. Expensive lesson learned. Whirlpool doesnt replace brand new, out of the box, defective refrigerator. Whirlpool also doesnt admit there are complaints out there... Customer service person told me she had no record of complaints... I said when we get off the phone... GOOGLE WRS965CIAM and you will be amazed. My next complaint is going to Consumer Reports. We bought the magazine and followed the advice. Id like to think we just got a lemon, but there are too many complaints out there for that to be the case!

My double ovens were locked and I could not open them. A repair man came, undid the latch, but did not have the replacement part. He ordered it and came back two weeks later to replace the latch. I paid the required $159.00 for the service call. In the meantime, I could use the bottom oven without any problem. He replaced the latch and discovered it was defective. In removing it, he damaged the ribbon in the control panel. He came back and put in a new latch, but now neither of the ovens would work because the control panel was inoperative. An attempt was made to order the control panel, but the control panel is no longer made. Instead, an attempt was made to repair the control panel. This took 4 weeks, and meant that I did not have an oven for Thanksgiving and had to totally rearrange my plans. Now I am told that the panel is not fixable and the best they can do is offer me a prorate on a new oven in which I would be charged $1374.00. I find this outrageous. Except for the latch, an easily repaired mechanical problem, the ovens were in excellent working order. Now I am being told that due to the problem caused by their repair person, I must pay $1374.00. I spoke to Stephen **, their customer service supervisor, who said that I have no further recourse with the company and there is no one else I can speak to regarding this problem.

My Whirlpool super capacity 465 started flaking out on the temperature and burned our dinner. I had a repairman over to repair which he did after about 3 hours of testing. Less than 6 months later it did the same thing. Overheating in the oven.

We purchased our new Whirlpool Cabrio washer on November 1, 2013. From the start this machines performance has been a disappointment. We bought the machine at The Brick (I should have known better) where we had made several purchases over the years ( I guess Im a slow learner). Right off the hop, my wife and I noticed that the clothes were not coming out clean. Even though the machine is Eco and therefore advertises that it uses less water, there should be enough water that the clothes at least get evenly wet. That may be a problem with the agitator not seeming to have the guts required to pull the clothing down to the bottom of the drum. We went back to The Brick and told them that we were not happy with the machine they had sold us and quite predictably they told us that we should call Whirlpool (This was less than a week after we had it delivered. Did I mention that I may be a slow learner?). We called Whirlpool and they told us they would have a tech out to take a look at it on November 11th. Wow, I thought. Hows that for service. A repair guy coming out on a statutory holiday. Of course it didnt happen. When we called them back to ask if their repair guy had made it home okay, they claimed that we werent there when the repairman tried to call to confirm his arrival time at our home. We hadnt left the nest the entire day. They then told us to go back to The Brick. We went back once again and told them, yet again, that we were not satisfied. This time they agreed to send their own man over to take a look. He came over yesterday and watched the machine go through an entire wash cycle and then said that there really wasnt anything he could do, as even though it may do a crappy job of washing the clothes, it at least appeared that mechanically speaking there didnt seem to be anything wrong with it. We called Whirlpool back today and they said that there isnt anything wrong with it mechanically so from their end, at least, the story is over. What kind of customer service is that????? Maybe Whirlpool and The Brick deserve each other, but I think we should get better treatment than that

After 32 years of marriage and nothing but Whirlpool (because my mother swore by Whirlpool), that is all we have used. I am so disappointed in the Cabrio washer/dryer set we purchased at Lowes. After 18 months, the dryer just quit. The best part is, we hang clothes out most of the time. It was used one winter, $1400 wasted. We put a cheap Admiral in our second home and spent $500 total and they work fine. I will never ever purchase Whirlpool anything or recommend to anyone. Again, you lost a family tradition.

We purchased a Whirlpool stove a year and half ago. We were cooking and kept hearing (tick, tick, tick) noises. Couldnt figure out what it was. After removing the pot there was an area of 2x4 inches that had melted in. Not sure where the glass went. But it looked like a chip but on the surface.

Ice maker not working. Freezer not working. Fridge not working. There is some cooling in the fridge/freezer system - maybe 50 degrees. Not under warranty, 2 years old. Repair person is coming. Will edit when I have more details.

Whirlpool makes a quality product. My gas range is 25 years old and it still performs like new. I’ve never had to have it repaired and it is used daily. If and when the time comes that I need or want to replace it, I will not consider any other brand.

Ive owned the microwave for 2 years, and recently the DOOR AJAR alarm goes off whenever I try using it. The appliance is now essentially unusable. I wish I knew about this known defect before purchasing. I spoke with Whirlpool Customer Care, and they want to charge me to have someone come fix a known defect. The charge is more than what I paid for the microwave. Please avoid Whirlpool at all costs!

I thought the new AquaLift cleaning would be the greatest. Boy, was I disappointed -- no thoroughly disgusted and very angry -- when I tried to use the self cleaning oven. I had cooked a prime rib roast and a lot of grease had spattered inside the oven. I wiped away the excess and did a cleaning cycle -- what a joke! There was still grease running down the door and walls. Nothing was changed after two cleaning cycles. Now I have to crawl inside the oven and scrub it manually. I was always pleased with the old self cleaning ovens which only left some ash and a little bit to clean up. The AquaLift technology doesnt work at all, didnt Whirlpool test it prior to selling it to the public? They will surely lose my business and I hope a lot of other peoples business as well. This technology was a huge mistake!!

Whirlpool convection/microwave GMH6185XVS - In 2011, we purchased a whole new kitchen for our home with the top of the line Whirlpool products. The sorry side of this project was our microwave. This product has been terrible for us! It has been removed from our wall 4 times for failing... and four times we have gone for weeks at a time with a big hole in our kitchen wall!! All of the failures were due to the microwave not heating food or drink, and all, according to our local dealership, were for various different reasons. Again, it has failed and our local appliance center who we bought everything from does not want to deal with it anymore. I dont blame them... I dont either!! It looks beautiful up there above our range telling me the time of day... My wife and I are older adults and take very good care of everything we own. There certainly has never been any abuse to this product (not to mention we spend half our year at a winter home so this microwave only is used for 6 months a year). I contacted Whirlpool customer service about the reliability of this product and their response was that it is now not under warranty and we should deal with our local store about repairs. I have a small Sharp microwave sitting on the counter below this crappy excuse for one that stays there all the time in anticipation on the Whirlpool going down!!! The $60.00 Sharp never fails me!! This was our 2nd time around purchasing all Whirlpool products for our house. We did the same thing when we built back in 1990. All appliances performed as they should have back then. It seems Whirlpool integrity has gone downhill. I will never buy another Whirlpool product nor I will recommend to anyone I know to do the same. Good luck to anyone who purchased one of these.

We purchased our front loading washer and dryer set to replace our set that was 17 years old and what a difference! I love all the different settings so I can customize the wash or dry cycles, including the energy-saving features. Although we dont have children in the home anymore, the large capacity is perfect for handling my fabrics and quilts. Something that didnt always work with my top loading washer. Of course, the fact that the front loading washer uses very little detergent is also a bonus.

I purchased my water heater at Lowes and had it installed professionally. I suspected something was not quite right on numerous occasions because the hot water recovery time seemed excessive. I finally called Whirlpool and they gave me the names and numbers of two companies that were on their list. The first asked for the model number and normal information and never called back. The second showed up spent five minutes charged me 78 dollars and said they could not get the part (gas valve) I needed. And if I could get it from Whirlpool they would charge me 250 to put it on. They also said Whirlpool made horrible water heaters and I should save myself the trouble and just replace it. I have since heard from additional plumbers and the gas company to stay away from Whirlpool. I did have the water heater replaced. When they did it and they drained the old water heater it had so much sludge in it draining it was very difficult. The sludge is mystery since I have a softener in my home and it should have prevented that. The individual from that gas company said that was just one of the many issue others had experienced with these heaters.

My Whirlpool Cabrio cannot wash sheets, blankets or any of this size. It balls up in the middle and form a bubble and only part of the items is washed and washing powders are trapped. I have purchased more sheets in the past 4 years than I have in the past 45 years of doing laundry, because the washing powders are not washed out. I wash on second rinse also, never fails and it still does not get all of it out. The clothing gets off balance if it was more than 3 small items. I have a leveling tool that I put on it often to make sure it is level. It’s something within the machine. I will never, never, never purchase any more Sears’ product. If anyone has jury-rigged this machine to work, please let me know. Sears has refused to help me, even today.

Bought Whirlpool electric range in Dec. 2005..expensive..so the warranty expired a few months ago. The electronic keypad that controls the oven and lights doesnt work. The repairs will be $408 plus tax which is obscene, and are guaranteed only for 90 days.This after only 5 years of minimal use...just me using it.I will never buy whirlpool again.

Then about 2 months after that Lid locked, failed, replaced. 7 months then Actuator failed and now looks like the Main board give up. I dont know where The original parts are made but they are Cheap junk. New technology is crap for Washing machines, gears transmission and Solenoids last a lot longer plus they clean your clothes. And belts and solenoids.

I bought the W04H02 SKU Number 13219771. I decided to wait to write this review until Trail Appliances hauled away this piece of junk, which was this morning. I bought this fridge July 2013. In June 2015 the freezer first konked out, so I started using my deep freezer. Then by October the fridge went. I called in my repair guy, who told me he sees this all the time with this fridge and carries many motors for these garbage fridges in his vehicle at all times. So $375.00 later it worked for about 3 1/2 months. Just long enough until the warranty again ran out. At this time I started to read the reviews about Whirlpool, and I was so mad at myself for not reading the reviews first. All I can say is I would never ever recommend this product. I am glad to see this junk out of my home. I never wasted TIME CONTACTING WHIRLPOOL, AS BY THE REVIEWS I READ, THEY DONT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. THEY ARENT WORTH THE TIME.

My Whirlpool microwave fits nicely over the stove/oven. It is easy to clean and comes with a glass turning table. It also comes with a wire rack if you choose to use it or it is easy to remove. I have had this microwave for 12 years and never had a problem. Love the presets on it for example ‘“popcorn.”

My Whirlpool refrigerator model #ED5FHEXV001, serial #HR0248 - I have spoken to a couple of reps on the phone. I am very dissatisfied because it was like one rep I spoke with on the telephone advised me to buy an extended warranty and at that time, the company would consider alternative ways to deal with this complaint and perhaps replace the refrigerator. I did not want to pay an additional $100 for a warranty, unless the company would guarantee me a solution, preferably my money back. I did not really believe the warranty would help me after the warranty was expired. I would still have the same problem and I feel that in the event after the extra warranty expired, the company would tell me I should have kept the coils clean, which is my complaint. There is no way to keep the coils clean. I guess blowing out the residue, then all that residue material would end up all in my house. Also, very important, there have been 3-4 technicians to my house the first year. I was told various things to do, such as adjust the refrigerator to a lower setting and freezer to a little higher setting. One tech actually replaced a part? The second tech said he would clean the coils. The last tech told me the problem was my coils had to stay clean. My question is, how the heck is that possible with the coils on the bottom of the fridge and susceptible to a lot of dust and dirt, unless I move my fridge everyday? Most people do not expect to have to clean under the fridge each day and the coils would still be dirty anyway. It is very dumb that the coils are not on the back of the fridge. With the fridge coils on the back, I have never experienced this problem. Please advise what my next step would be. Thank you.

We purchase all Whirlpool appliances for our new house in Florida in late 2015 from Good Deals Appliances. First repair before 1 wk in-house was the dishwasher. Wires were not connected. Now it is the refrigerator (French door refrigerator model K44913210). We reached out where we purchase the appliances and they gave a number of repairman to connect. He came and told us the compressor & evaporator & valve needed replacement, We found that hard to believe that a 2-yr-old refrigerator needed all this repair. Called another repairman to hear same thing. We were also told this problem is so common with this model. Called Whirlpool. They sent a repairman out. Said same thing first two said. They are paying for parts but not labor. We were told by last repairman that this refrigerator hasnt worked from day one. Passed info to Whirlpool and no comment. We paid a lot of money for an upgraded refrigerator to have it quit in 2 years. Totally not acceptable. On top of this the parts may not work for more than 2 years again. Okay Whirlpool who is going to pay for all the ice & dry ice, the other two repairmen that came. The repairman you sent was double the price of other 2 & will not come back till we pay. We will pass our experience with Whirlpool on to all friends and friends of friends.

We bought Whirlpool Gold Series on July 6, 2014. Refrigerator, range, microwave & dishwasher. Our refrigerator - we have the repair company out almost every month cause the icemaker was constantly icing up and wasnt making the ice cubes single, would come out all attached to each other. So after arguing with Lowes and Whirlpool we were able to get a different refrigerator in February of 2015. Now in April 2015 we are having trouble with our microwave with the light flickering off and on when we open the door and sometimes it work and sometimes it doesnt. The repair company has been out 3 times for the same problem telling me that where the door closes are 2 latches that when not lined up cause this issue, so the repair company replaced the 2 latches and a month later it started happening again. So they came out and replaced the light socket. Now we will see how long that last.Now for the range which is the AquaLift Self-Cleaning which doesnt clean the oven at all. It was like I was back in the early 1950s, only worse. The baked on grease spots, you cannot get off at all. To me this is false advertising and the stores personnel lied to about all you have to do is pour 2 cups of water in the bottom of the oven, press the self-cleaning button and after 40 minutes of cleaning and letting the oven cool a bit you just have to wipe the oven down with a damp cloth and the oven is clean. Not so much!!!Wish I had all my old appliances back because they were made to work correctly. The new appliances suck for the amount of money you pay for them. So please beware and do research on the appliances you want to purchases otherwise you will get ripped off with no satisfaction for your hard earned money you spent on them. I have always had Whirlpool appliances and have loved them but these new ones we purchased are nothing but junk.

We purchased a Whirlpool water heater at Lowes for $1100.00. Four years later it isnt working. There are no parts to fix it available at any store in Dallas, TX. We had to call the company. They made us pay the overnight shipping fee for the part. Then the part didnt show up. When we called to find out why isnt the part at my house, they said they found out FedEx doesnt deliver on Saturdays. No one ever called to notify us of this, instead the response was that they would use it as a coaching lesson for not notify the customer. We have now been without hot water in the middle of winter for 5 days. We have no idea when the part will arrive and if it will even fix my defective water heater. We will never buy another Whirlpool product and I strongly encourage anyone who reads this to not buy Whirlpool. They dont stand by their product and have horrible customer service.

Whirlpool washing machine M# wtw7340xw2 / S# c14270996 - Bought in 11/26/2012. Never was real satisfied with the way the clothes were washed. They never came out real clean and smelled like there was still soap in the clothes. It has been less than two years and now it will not run. Turn the unit on and all it wants to do is turn on the pump to drain the tub. Im a refrigeration technician and know how to run a diagnostic test Whirlpool has for this machine. I get an LF code which is water long fill so I checked out the water tube which is ok. So the problem is in the circuit board not sensing the water level. To replace this board is around $350 dollars and if I had someone else do the work I would be looking at over $550 dollars. I only paid around $500 dollar for the washer so it does not make any sense to put a new solid state board into this washer which cost as much as the washer. Our old GE washer lasted us for over 20 years and did a better job washing our clothes. There should be a better warranty on these machines than one year. I did not buy the extended warranty because of the cost and I expect that the product should last at least 10 years or more.

Updated on 04/15/2019: Called customer care about my ice maker which have went out for the second time less than two years and the 1st replacement have only been 9 months from today. Unfortunately they tell me it’s out of the one year warranty process and they can’t help me. Well look like the 2nd replacement should have been under warranty still. Their products are a piece of crap and they know it and don’t care because theyre making money off of the consumers. Be aware and advise you to stay away from Whirlpool appliances. They don’t stand behind their brand. There’s no way anyone should have to be making repairs on a new 2000 and sum refrigerator. My old one is 18 yrs old and still working fine no problems, better than this piece of crap. Warning to consumers. Don’t waste your time and especially your money. Purchased washer 8/2015. Washer quit working 12/2015. Would not drain or do anything. Repairman dispatched and came 3 business days later. (They dont work weekends.) Repairman looked at old receptacle cover and immediately stated, Problem with polarity of plug. No prior problems with plug running appliances. Plugged into it for over 8 years. When I advised him of that then he started troubleshooting circuit board. He cleaned out the machine and got it to work. (Still under warranty) 4 days from repair, and machine quits. Same problem. Wont drain and wont do anything. Call for service again on Weds. morning and given following Tues for service call. Online consumer reports complaints #ered at over 1,7000. Same machine, same problems. Call Whirlpool directly, given runaround. Talk to Whirlpool mgr. (Robert) complaint # **. He states, Have to wait for service. But calls Brandt Melb., FL to try to get sooner service. Brandt calls me stating they have ordered a lid lock and CCU board for machine and will be out Monday. In the last year, I have had to put in two sets of parts to my Whirlpool water heater (thermocouple) within three months in between each malfunction. Now the hot water is out again, and I need to have a plumber come and reapply new parts to the hot water heater. Whirlpool is refusing to send new parts to the less than a year old hot water heater until they speak with my plumber. It was purchased in December 2011. I am a disabled senior citizen, and we have not had hot water in over a week. Meanwhile, the weather is in the teens and has been snowing. I live alone and have not been able to wash dishes, take showers or mop my floor. Being a diabetic, cleanliness is very important to maintain good health. Living on Social Security, I cannot afford to replace my water heater parts every few months and my health cannot afford to not have hot water. I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio washer 2 years ago. It started recently messing up and making a loud noise during spin cycle and gave me a UL code. I called the repairman and he is stating several things need replacing. Cost more than washer did at time of purchase. Bearings and 2 other items need replacing parts. 550.00 plus labor of 250. I will never buy another Whirpool. My previous washer lasted 10 years. I got rid of it for a matching washer and dryer by Whirpool. Worst mistake and Im out a lot of money. By reading all the poor reviews. Seems like Whirlpool would do something. Its a ongoing problem. Many people have reported. I have read many similar experiences and wished I knew before purchasing this set. If you are reading this do not buy this washer and dryer set.

This refrigerator stopped working withing 2 weeks of delivery. Lost a great amount of food. It was a real hassle to get the warranty company out. Took several days. Now there are places on each shelf in the refrigerator where food freezes and I have to throw it out. I am not real happy with this.

I was so excited when I bought this stove. It broke right outside the warranty. It shuts off in the middle of baking or just doesnt stay on at all. Bad, bad, bad. They told me it would cost $400 just for the part, not including installation. What a rip off. I called the tech and he said this is a known problem. He advised me to just toss it and buy Hotpoint which has a much better consumer report rating. Sad.

We purchased a whirlpool gas dryer 30 years ago this past February. Its still going strong with 30 years of continuous use!! The only service ever required was a belt change I did myself 18 years ago. Not too bad whirlpool!!

We bought a Whirlpool dishwasher (Ser# F21102027MOD, Model# WDF730PAYB2) after reading some of the reports that it was just as good as a Bosch. Wrong! We bought this washer March 17. On May 17, the selector switch and sub control broke down. We had bought this item at the HH Gregg store here, and also purchased a 5-year warranty which they said we cannot use because the dishwasher is only 2 months old. Is there a lemon law? And what makes this worse is that we called Whirlpool on May 18th. They could not get anyone out here until May 25th to look at it. As of this time, they still could not fix it because the two parts had to be ordered. Today is June 1st and the part is still not in? Makes me think, does this part always go down because its on back order? So you are fully warned, do not purchase a Whirlpool. If I can get some extra money, I am throwing it out and buy a Bosch because I dont think it will ever be fixed.

We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and Dryer May 2017. First, this washer is SO LOUD! Honestly, NEVER had a washer that is this loud on the spin cycle. My second issue is, that when I wash my blacks, they have white splotches streaks on them. I use ALL clear and free liquid washer and Downy softener, so I stopped the softener, and still the white streaking. Ive since will use the additional rinse on during the wash, but still leaves white streaks. After 3 separate rinse cycles, no streaking. This leaves me thinking that with the lighter colored clothing, there is probably streaking as well, just can see it - my conclusion is that the clothes arent getting cleaned properly, or rinsed. Another issue is the dryer. First, takes longer than all my previous dryers, even the set 110 mins for towels on high, still takes longer. My washers are not packed tight with clothes either - its just my husband and myself - not a lot of washing. Also, I noticed a crack in the inside dryer/drum where it looks like the paint is chipping and cracked. I used some high heat touch up paint, and it did not help. Needless to say, what I thought was an good reputable product, turns out to be, not so good.

The machine never allows enough water to clean the clothes and I do not have the option to add more water or to spin the clothes again. The maker of this machine must think that people do not have the ability to know how to wash clothes or think for themselves. I need a washer that I can tell to add more water or just spin these clothes again. Very disappointed. I need an older model that I can control.

I purchased a Whirlpool microwave model #WHM3205XVS1 on October 2, 2011. The handle broke off in little pieces and was repaired in March 2012. Handle broke off again in little pieces in September 2012. This will be the 3rd handle that will continue to break in little pieces every 6 months. According to both repair men that were here, this is their comment: No customer abuse, this is a very common problem with this model. After to speaking to 3 people at Whirlpool, I was told by everyone, This is cosmetic problem and we will not fix after the 1 year manufacturers warranty is up. I started with the the first person, went to her supervisor, then went to her supervisor. I am now waiting for a call from a manager although I was told I will continue to get the same answer no matter how far up the chain of command I go. So, I was told that it is okay to have 2 screws sticking out holding the remaining part of the handle that is left, because it is a cosmetic, not a functional problem. I will never stop with Whirlpool. I will call 4 times a day if necessary. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again! I will tell everyone I know not to purchase one of their products. Be careful. They manufacture products for many other companies, i.e., Sears, Amana, Jenn-Air, and many, many more.

The trim on the front the my Whirlpool electric range has rubbed off. This is where the knobs for the burners are located. It was replaced once during the Whirlpool 1 year warranty (so it obviously happened with the first year!) and again during the second year we have had it. We have an extended warranty but have been told that it is not covered. It is ecstatically unacceptable. We have not used any type of harsh cleansers on it - simply a sponge to remove any spills yet it keeps on disappearing. I strongly recommend against buying any range from Whirlpool as it is quite obvious that they do not stand behind their products beyond the first year.

It started getting warm and wasnt getting any warmer. Model number ED2VHEXV001 22 cubic feet side by side. I read another review and it sounds just like mine, OMG. It better just need something, its less than three years old. I am not happy and I always bought Whirlpool, my first trouble with it.

We purchased the Whirlpool Duet (front loader) washer and dryer in 2005 from Best Buy. We had many problems with the washer leaking around the front door. After several visits, Best Buy (in 2007) said we could pick out a new washer. We picked out the Whirlpool Cabrio. About 2 years later the mother board had to be replaced on the Cabrio. We are constantly getting F codes and have to unplug the washer several times for it to reset. It also sounds like a plane getting ready to take off and from what I read that repair is very costly. It has been leaking as well. I contacted Whirlpool today and they informed me that there was no recall on the machine and when I told them that there were many complaints for the same issues online, they said they do not base their recalls on blogs and to fix the problem, I would have to incur the cost. This machine is the biggest piece of junk that I have ever owned. I will be sure not purchase a Whirlpool in the future!

Everyone has been impressed with how quiet my Whirlpool Gold Series dishwasher was and how clean the dishes came out, but that didnt last but 3 short years. In the life of a dishwasher, 3 years should be less than a third of the life expediency. I purchased a 3 year protection plan from Sears only to find out that it included the year you get the new appliance, so it just added 2 years. Just my luck. I have bragged and bragged and bragged on this dishwasher because it was quiet and cleaned so well, but now I know that was premature because it should have last much longer. I sure didnt get my moneys worth.

I have owned a French-door Whirlpool/Kenmore refrigerator for less than 3 years & all the lights start flashing fast when you open the doors. Anyone that knows anything about seizures know this can set one off. Turns out its a common problem with the LED lights & you have to replace circuit board at over $100.00 for the part, plus you may have to have it installed. Best to stick with a $0.99 bulb you replace every 5 years.

We have a Whirlpool Gold fridge that was manufactured in 2009. MOD: GS2KVAXS01. SER: HRY0570897 and it has not been cooling properly for the last few weeks. Some days it is fine, the next day not and we have had to throw our a lot of rotting food. We got the fridge checked out and were told the Electronic Control Box for the fridge was not working. My question is, why would a Whirlpool Gold fridge that costs $1800 or so have such a large issue with 3 years? Its practically a brand new fridge and Im outraged that a large part of the fridge is not working. I understand parts break and there is warranty but its pretty bad that after the warranty expires the control box would become defective. I have been a loyal Whirlpool customer and solely buy the brand and this break upsets me very much. Especially since replacing the part will cost me $400 plus labor, we are talking about a part costing 30% of the total fridge cost! That is ridiculous. I am hoping there is something you can do to rectify this, as a fridge manufactured by what I thought was a great company should not cause such an issue and I would like to continue to buy Whirlpool products but not if this is the case.We have called Whirlpool customer service many times to be ignored, berated, told I cannot speak to a supervisor and nothing will be done. Never in my entire life have I ever known a company so horrible to exist. I have had bad service before but this takes the cake. Plus, no company that I have ever dealt with would ignore you and not provide any discount or remedy. I cant believe this is a big brand with the way they carry on. You would assume they would be some one person owned company who doesn’t have a penny to spare. Purchased on 9/12 at Home Depot. Ice maker paid for as stated in ad for home depot, did not come with fridge. Tech needed for warm food, had to repair gasket. Tech needed for cracked handle. 6 calls for freezing food in fridge compartment. No resolve. Whirlpool wanted a 2nd opinion and another tech came deeming the fridge unrepairable. Not good enough for Whirlpool. After speaking to several customer service agents, they said they do not refund or replace, only repair. I have lost hundreds of dollars of food from freezing. My fridge is reading at 31 deg. This is way below what it is supposed to read at. No call from Whirlpool since last tech came. Their customer service is terrible and cold. Whirlpool Corp. was not any help either. You can see the problem with this model if you look up Whirlpool fridge freezing food in Florida, as a woman there called ABC news and they reported it. I will also do the same.

Worst purchase I have ever made. When I purchased this Cabrio washer in 2015, I didnt find bad reviews but how I wish I had. This washer does not clean clothes well. It has caused holes in clothing and towels. Often all the load wont even be damp even if using the deep water feature. The wash loads rarely fill more than couple of inches. Clothes come out twisted and terribly wrinkled. Sheets and blankets will be half dry and unclean. TERRIBLE APPLIANCE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Now I am stuck with a high priced washer I wouldnt even feel good about giving away. WONT FILL. RUINS CLOTHES. TANGLES LOADS. DOESNT CLEAN. DOESNT RINSE PROPERLY. DO NOT BUY!

It was horrible! I paid $568 for a Whirlpool dishwasher from Lowes in 3/09. The Clean light flashed, then stopped and flashed again. I didnt buy an extended warranty, because I felt Whirlpool was a great company. I had A&E Factory Service come for a service call, paying $70 later w/ tax, only to find out that the heater is no longer working. It would cost $216 to fix it, and we had to remove the dishwasher. Why bother for the total of Todays service call and the repair, when I could buy a new dishwasher? It cost $568, and it lasted a little over 2 years! It was horrible. Theres no warranty and no help from Whirlpool, because I didnt buy a warranty. Guess, my dishes will air dry, and I might as well do them myself!

My Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator is just 4 years old. When they delivered it, they noticed damage on the bottom which required them to bring me a new refrigerator. The new one had issues with the ice maker that required multiple service calls to fix. The refrigerator door always seemed a bit misaligned as it was a bit lower than the freezer door, but it closed, so I never complained. I was just tired of all the issues! During the last six months, the door started to remain ajar instead of closing completely so that we had to always be sure to apply sufficient pressure to close it tightly. I considered calling in a repair, but it was still closing so I thought I might be overly critical. As it got worse, I realized the door was defective, but one day, it just fell off completely without warning as though the hinges were made of butter!After multiple service calls, a tech reattached the door, but I could see that it would not hold and sure enough, it is starting to remain ajar again. I have contacted the warranty company who is now saying the service tech claimed we were hanging on the door. This repair company the warranty company uses has an F rating with the BBB. Now, Im being told it may take a couple weeks to get another repair company to give them an opinion, but the issue is clear, the door was defective and it looks like they found a way to avoid having to make good on the warranty!

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator with an ice maker exactly 2 years ago. It stopped making ice. I called a Whirlpool repairman and he said there was a leak in the freon tube. I should get a new one. I did, am trying a basic GE with icemaker.

So after having the old white standby refrigerator and stove from the late 1970s, I figured it was time to upgrade. I have had theses appliance for TWO MONTHS! And they are starting to rust! I dont want to complain, I want a solution. Is there a law suit or advocacy to get our money back? I even bought the 5 year warranty, but found out that it is considered cosmetic!

We purchased the largest Whirlpool Cabrio Washer (over $1100 value) 3.5 years ago, and had nothing but trouble out of it. The drum has had to be replaced twice, the motor once, and then supposedly a bolt kept coming off on the drum as well, that had to be tightened twice. Now, we dont know what is wrong with it - we suspect suspension imbalance or something, because this extra large capacity washer is constantly unbalanced even with 6 articles of fabric in it now, and I dont even think about putting even what would be considered a medium-large load in it, because it flat up will not wash. You can put a level on it, and it shows leveled, but it still wont operate worth anything. My wife is so put out by it at this point that she has even talked about getting an old ringer washer (seriously). Sears keeps coming out here because we had purchased the extended warranty and truly if they had simply replaced the washer after the 2nd trip to the house, they would have more than paid for the replacement washer even. Instead, they keep coming, looking at it, then having to order parts, and then come back a couple weeks later to put the shipped parts (which sit around our house), back in to repair it each time. All the while, we go without a washer or barely can wash any clothes. We have even taken clothes to the laundromat during one of the repair instances, because we cant just have mounds of clothes piled up for their month-long service. It is ridiculous how little it seems that Sears and Whirlpool care about their customers. I have gone to Whirlpool and Sears Home Services sites and complained at both. I have called both of their 800 lines in the past and again, this yielded nothing to truly depict either company cares. It just goes to prove that customer satisfaction is far less valuable to either of these companies than the bottom dollar profits in our opinion. I dont know where else to post our concerns/frustrations, so anyone can see how put out these two companies have caused us and dont care, but if anyone knows of anywhere else I can post blogged concerns, please let me know.I have complained previously about a dishwasher that we had purchased that we had numerous issues with. Those complaints fell on deaf ears to Whirlpool and really Sears as well. I dont think all the washers are duds, but this one has been nothing but trouble, and Sears wont just replace it, Whirlpool dont care. I have been given the runaround that it is because there arent three (3) service calls in a 12-month period for the exact same issue. Well, I am sorry that it doesnt appear to be just one thing! I have had it with these services calls, parts having to be ordered, only to hit the crazy repeat button again every time! This is an AMAZING dryer. Probably the best I've ever used. My husband & I live in a mobile home so our main reason for purchase is the fact it is VENTLESS & it's compact. The dryer is so quiet. You can hardly hear it with a tv going. It doesn't take any more time to dry than another modern dryer. The end result are damp clothes, however there is enough steam and heat left in the bin at the end of the cycle to where if you fluff the clothes they'll be dry in a matter of seconds. The dryer acts as a dehumidifier by capturing moisture from the air it uses. All the features are up to date and easy to figure out. It's worked extremely well since we've had it and I'm happy to say we LOVE IT!

Sad that I have to file this review! After reading multiple other reviews on all brands available to American citizens, I have come to the realization that cheap labor and materials are creating massive appliance garbage in our country as well as financial rip off for us all. It needs to STOP! What has happened to doing things right!! What company is going to be the first to produce good refrigerators! Paid over $2000 for my side by side and it is only 5 years old and has a freon leak that cant be fixed. Repairman said will have to buy a new refrigerator. Pathetic!! Cheap manufacturing in foreign countries is killing our economy and our household finances. Be prepared to buy NOTHING that works! Yeah, thats what I work hard for and look forward to. Americans better wake up.

Piece of crap. We built home 2 years ago and have all gold series appliances! They are all CRAP. Wish we would’ve upgraded to KitchenAid. Dishwasher won’t wash, microwave has hot spots and has to be unplugged and plugged back in often to work. Freezer side of the refrigerator will stop making ice because it freezes up often! NEVER buy Whirlpool!

At least three times a week the washing machine does not wring the water out of the clothes. The best Maytag wants to offer is to extend the warranty for one year. So washers are supposed to last for 2 years? Will never purchase a Maytag again!!!

We purchased the Whirlpool model# BFG1J4040T3NOV 40 gallon natural gas hot water tank in the spring of 2010. The pilot light went out this weekend, 2011. And it will re-light but does not stay lit. This was bought at Lowes, rated as a 9-year warranty on the tank and parts. This is premature failure of a product that is listed as 9 years. Due to all the other similar complaints of this Whirlpool hot water tank, I would like my money back plus installation. I do not want the Whirlpool replacement as obviously it does not work. I will use a different brand and vet it much better in the future. We almost purchased at Home Depot but decided it would be a better bet to go with the Whirlpool reputation and name and Lowes than with the only Home Depot option, which is the self branded water heaters. It was a big mistake!

The oven continues heating up even after it reaches temperature. This happen soon after we purchased it in 2009... When I called Whirlpool they said to unplug the oven for 15 min & allowed it to reset. This worked, that time. It has continued to happen to the point now where it will not reset and then we can no longer use our oven.

We bought a whirlpool water heater about two and a half years ago and started having problems with the pilot light going out. The gas company said that these have been recalled but he was wrong its the 2005 year. Sure we will have to buy a new water heater soon.

Ours is a glass top & has 2 dual burners & we are very pleased with that feature. The oven however takes quite long to preheat & the alert sounds are so weak you can barely hear them. It was a rapid purchase on a sale item. I wish we had shopped a bit more.

I have purchased 2 Ikea/Whirlpool ovens in 2011 from Ikea in Canada. I have used the self clean feature on both ovens and both ovens quit completely and the doors stayed locked. This problem is discussed hundreds of times on the internet for Whirlpool, Ikea and Kitchen Aid ovens. Since they are all made by Whirlpool they are all very similar or exactly the same in some cases, as is the problem. I have discussed this with Ikea and they have said they didnt know about the problem but would help to get it fixed to my satisfaction. I have had Whirlpool authorized service repair both ovens but after trying the self clean feature again, same problem.During one of my conversations with an Ikea representative on the phone, she contacted Whirlpool and was told that if the oven was repaired 3 times and deemed by the service technician as unrepairable, Whirlpool would do a buyback. In other words according to Ikea, Whirlpool would take the oven and pay me what I paid for the oven. Well after contacting the authorized service dept (not Whirlpool itself) for the third time, they did some investigation with Whirlpool about the problem. To his and my amazement, Whirlpool has come up with a fix as of October 2013. The technician ordered the new kit and installed it in both ovens. I have since tried the self clean in one oven and this time it worked. For the information of others, Whirlpool has the kit and in it is an instruction sheet with pictures as to how to replace and install all the parts in the kit.I watched the installation, quite a process. From the instruction sheet there is a number on it. Here is the number - w10625529 rev. A 10/13. This is an instruction sheet for Ikea TOD (thermal overload device) service kit. I have looked at many of the service parts diagrams on the internet for many different current models of Ikea, Whirlpool and Kitchen Aid ovens and in most cases almost all the inside parts are the same or very very similar which leads me to the conclusion that this service kit may work in most of these ovens to correct the same problem, but I suggest checking with the appropriate service people before taking my word for it. My observation is that the kit moves the TOD off the top of the metal plate of the oven and onto a new bracket which the tech thought it was to get it further away from heat (this Im not sure of since Im not an expert). He also suggested that this kit may also be designed to allow more air flow around the oven.My only concern after having the self clean feature finally work is the heat produced inside the kitchen cabinet in which the oven is installed. Approximately an hour and a half after turning the self clean on, I felt the side of the cabinet between it and the fridge (open space), and at one area of the wood cabinet I could not hold my hand on the cabinet as it was too very hot. I will be checking the inside of the cabinet for signs of excess heat and if I see any evidence, I will again call the service people. Since the elements were not on when I checked this, I assume the self clean had finished the heat cycle and was in the process of cooling down. When I test the other oven, I will make sure the elements are still on as I can see them thru the glass door. When I checked the temperature of the outside wood cabinet using a laser thermometer, the outside wood registered 64 degrees C or 142 F approximately. Not sure what the inside temperature was as the oven was still in place. Hopefully I will not get a higher reading when the self clean is at its maximum temperature in the cleaning cycle. Will the oven create any problems in the future for the cabinet, I hope not but time will tell. For clarification, the cabinets were built by a kitchen cabinet company using the instruction sheet that came with the ovens. I hope some of this will be of help to some of the hundreds of people who have posted this very same problem on the internet. When you have paid for an appliance you wanted because of the features it came with, it should provide you with what you paid for and not constantly break down. Im lucky as they came with a 5-year warranty so it hasnt cost me anything yet and hopefully wont in the future. Good luck to all in getting this resolved for all of you.

Whirlpool Gold GC3SHAXVBOO - Two issues in two years. We purchased this refrigerator online through Whirlpool in April 2010. Almost a year later, a circuit board went. This was repaired under warranty. Our refrigerator was making loud cycling noises and we were told this was normal. Now a year later, again we have an issue. This time its the compressor. We called customer service and were told there is nothing they can do. The cost to fix approximately is $700. This is very upsetting to buy a $2000 refrigerator and have two major issues within two years and then not have the company stand by their product. I would wonder how many other people have this model and have these issues as it seems like a lot. Whirlpool customer service is terrible, non-caring and offered no assistance.

I will never buy a Whirlpool product of any kind. I bought a gas stove and its a piece of **. Won’t even light. Only way to start it is start boil then switch over to bake then it wont light. So please I ask that you make a product thats worth buying.

I have had this washer for about 7 years. I have not had any problems with it. I wish that it is stingy with rinse water. I see suds on the items before the rinse cycle and it doesnt seem to use enough water for a good rinse. Therefore I use the extra cycle.

Purchased I assumed a brand-new electric hot water heater from Lowes. It worked giving us hot water for 5 months then it quit. We called the number they have located on the side of the water heater and they sent 3 references such as plumbers for us to contact because everything they told us to purchase didnt work... so after their references, plumber came out. Instead of him telling us what was wrong why all of a sudden we stopped getting hot water he didnt return our phone call. As a professional that sucks!!! So WHIRLPOOL CUSTOMER SERVICE says the hot water heater that had been working for 5 months wasnt up to code and wasnt wired right and WE need to pay an electrician to connect it right... thats **. The electrician did it correct the first time. Whirlpool just dont want to accept the fact that their equipment is faulty!!! But thats good because I will NEVER purchase anything WHIRLPOOL makes. I dont care if they start making water. I will just quit The hell with that company!!! WHIRLPOOL SUCKS!!! Heres the serial number 1626103174130 and if I had read the neg reviews before I purchased the hot water heater I wouldnt not have done it!!!

I purchased the Cabrio washer about 2 years ago. This summer, I began to hear a roar in my washer when it was spinning. I called a repairman and in order to fix it, the tub has to be replaced and it will cost $258 plus service call. My sister purchased her Cabrio 3 years ago and her washer has the same problem. This sounds like a recall issue to me. I think Whirlpool needs to recall this washer or pay my bill.

If you like having to use a funnel to refill plastic water bottles, and enjoy ice splashed all over your kitchen floor then the Whirlpool Gold refrigerator is the model for you. The problem with ice is if you dont have your glass sealed up to the ice dispenser it will shoot ice out over the top of the glass, and even if you DO do that when you try to remove your glass to cut off the ice supply it continues to disperse ice everywhere. TIP: The only way to more efficiently stop ice from spraying all over your wood floor is to do this: When your glass is full of ice, simply open a door on the refrigerator. That IMMEDIATELY stops the flow of ice OR water. Works great, and its the only way to deal with this horrid design flaw in this product....

WRF989SDAW02 - Oct 2013 1st refrig delivered. After 4 repairs within 6 months, Whirlpool put in a request to the Exchange Review Board to replace. New refrigerator (same model though) was delivered May 19, 2014. 4 repairs later for the exact same thing with the 1st refrigerator, it was again sent to Exchange Review Board to replace. New delivery was set for July 30, 2014. When delivery company arrived at my house with new refrig, I was told it was smashed on both sides. They would take care of contacting Whirlpool and schedule a new delivery date. From July 30, 2014 to present I still have no refrigerator from Whirlpool. I have 15 documented phone calls to Whirlpool or JB Hunt (delivery company).

I have had this machine (Indesit IWDE126 Washer/Dryer) for a very short time; the washer is great. It does a 20 minute daily wash which is good however the dryer part screws up everything you put into it and ironing, even with steam, makes no difference at all. The WORST part is the organisation DONT CARE. I wrote to the Chief Executive, Jeff Fettig, who neither acknowledged my complaint or responded to it. I made this complaint in October 2016 and STILL do not know what the outcome is. If you are reading this review I honestly would look elsewhere for a better machine. Try MIELE. They are expensive but 2000% better.

Three years ago, 2008 we purchased a Whirlpool Gold refrigerator for our new house. Since we have had trouble with the ice maker and dispenser, we have had it repaired twice, the latest on Nov 31, 2011. We thought that perhaps it was only our problem. This past summer, we, along with some friends, rented a house in Water Color, Florida for a week. The house cost over $2M to construct and evidently they chose the same refrigerator we did, and guess what? They have the same problem. Just this week we were visiting some friends in Starkville, Mississippi and they had the same refrigerator with the same problems. Evidently this is a design problem and a poor one at that. I would neither buy another Whirlpool product nor would I recommend Whirlpool to anyone. I thought we were getting a quality product given the purchase price of this refrigerator. Indeed that is not the case.

Whirlpool Cabrio 8kg washing machine - Purchased this washing machine because of the size, water efficiency, no agitator. Have purchased Whirlpool products before and havent had a problem but this washing machine is absolutely a piece of garbage. At first our water bill was hugely excessive so tested the machine and it was using 269 litres per wash when it was only supposed to use 98 litre as stated on the machine. When doing 2 washes a day you can imagine the water bill we had. Lint on washing, continually out of balance no matter how much was in the wash. Had it fixed under warranty then just out of warranty. Water wouldnt turn off. Had to turn it on and off at the top lid. Could now be opened during washing cycle. Started turning itself on in the middle of the night and day. Had to unplug it to stop it, wont spin out clothes. Still sodden. After cycle finished with the lid open it would start to fill up with water again and going out of balance again. Had the appliance people out for the 4th time. Had to have the motherboard and a valve replaced. Its still leaving lint. Washing is not even getting wet so it cant possibly be cleaned. Contacted warranty people. They came out and said it is running as it should be but they advised us this is a common problem with this brand of washing machine. Personally I wish I could throw it away if I had another $900 to waste on another machine.

Purchased brand new washer & dryer that was chosen specifically for its HE & washing capabilities as Im a single mom with 5 kids, 2 of whom have disabilities, & I need a good washer & dryer. Washer and dryer both broke several times. I paid for an extended warranty but they never resolved the issue. Called Whirlpool & they didnt care. Four years later, Im using a set I bought used that rips my clothes while the washer & dryer sit still broken. Will never buy from Whirlpool or Kettles again.

Nice refrigerator. Not enough flexibility in shelving adjustment. Same with compartments on doors, flexibility limited. Freezer design is limited. It is not easy to load the freezer with different items.

Bought these Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum combo about three years ago, nothing but junk from the get go! Washer never gets clothes clean, towels always come out smelling mildew and sour no matter what liquid soap you use Tide, Gain, whatever same results. Plus always mold coming from inside tub and yes we use refresh weekly and wash it out on refresh setting. I’m so tired of our towels smelling sour but can’t afford to buy new washer and dryer living on fixed income. If I could these would be in the recycling yard now. From everything I’m reading all new H e machines are crap and energy efficient my foot. I wish for my old style washer and dryer. WHIRLPOOL YOU HAVE LOST A LONG TIME CUSTOMER!

We purchased a Whirlpool side by side from Lowes and an extended warranty. Immediately maybe a month the ice maker froze. Ice container in the door. Repairman said design is notorious for this problem. This was an ongoing problem. They replaced icemaker and it continued. Finally the warranty people told me it could be deemed a lemon if repaired for the same issue 4 times in a year. They deemed it a LEMON and I received a store credit for the purchase price less the warranty amount. I purchased a new LG French door. No issues and its been 5 years. If you have an extended warranty do some checking on the lemon.

The refrigerator itself is noisy but thats not the problem. Most of my low ratings are because of the ice maker. Instead of being in the freezer it is up in the refrigerators area. It jams a lot, makes a lot of noise, had to replace the ice maker assy inside it already as it quit. Then the defrost water drain plugged and had to be cleaned out. Too many problems for such a new refrigerator. The refrig. itself works fine but get one with ice maker in the freezer.

Refrigerator model LFFU17F5HWD - For 2 years it worked, but with problems - always frosting over. I called a service tech and they said it was a common problem, but to find a service tech to come and look at it. The cost for that was $250.00 and still no fix. Now it quit working completely. I was always told by my dad that Whirlpool was the best - maybe true, 30 years ago. I know one thing if I have to buy another refrigerator - it wont be a Whirlpool. You do stand up to your name Whirlpool of trouble. If anyone reads this, please take my advice and do not buy a Whirlpool. I have a washer and dryer thats Whirlpool too. They work but I wont have anything in my house that says Whirlpool on it. Its too bad that they were a great product at one time. Consumer Reports should do something about this company or the BBB. Im so mad I cant even spell well. Thats my 2 cents on Whirlpool of crap.

We had a Whirlpool washing machine 650s, fully automatic on 28.07.2011 at M/s. Next Showroom Reference bill number 910, Sr no INF **. We had attended, 2 times, a problem with the digital board. After advice from your Whirlpool service person, we had fixed it cutout (make whirlpool), but now, its the same fault with the digital board. Kindly take further action regarding this same problem and sort this out immediately without any further reminder.

I chose Whirlpool first then my machine became of I wanted a front loading machine with a larger tub. I wanted to be able to wash anything without hesitation. I truly love my wash and dryer. This set is the first set I have ever bought brand new.

We bought a new Whirlpool side by side, model # WRS325FNAM00 in March 2014. In less than 48 hours, the freezer box was condensing and water was leaking on the bottom edge. The condensation got worse and worse. Five service calls later, Whirlpool replaced the freezer door--which took six weeks because it had to be manufactured.After the door was installed--no change. Whirlpool replaced the entire refrigerator in June. Guess what? The new one is doing exactly the same thing in exactly the same place. So far it has not gotten worse. Well see, we have only had it a week. But already the service rep has been out to the house and added the silicone gunk to the box in case there is a tiny air leak. Why would a brand new refrigerator have an air leak in the freezer box?
