Product Reviews:

I purchased this dryer two months ago and have been completely pleased with its performance. It dries clothes fast and is much quieter than my previous dryer. I love it and hope it lasts for many many years.

We also purchased LG washer/dryer, high end stainless steel. Washer is ok but we have experienced same problems as many others. The dryer LG Tromm DLE3777W never dried clothes correctly. It takes 90 minutes to dry an average load of clothes. An "energy star" product it is not. The repair guy gave us the same ** about the vent being dirty or clogged. Never was the case. Actually sounds like the repair guy was reading off a script. The second time to the house, the repair guy stated that the dryer was operating as designed. The real problem is that Home Depot is selling this stuff. Home Depot's reps are promoting this stuff and LG doesn't stand behind their product. Two options: contact the Better Business Bureau in your state (they are usually really good) and the second option is contact your state Attorney General. LG is selling a defective product and that, in every state, is fraud.

It is very quiet when working & dries clothes very quickly. The dryer is very good value for money in my opinion. I have had no problems since buying the dryer. My dryer is very reliable and it has been consistent since the day I bought it. I have never had any problems with it. I can fit a full load in if needed. It can fit comforters and pillows as well. It looks basic - clean, white and would fit in with any color scheme or decor. It more or less matches my washer even though it is an older washer. This dryer was actually the cheapest in the whole store, although it works as good as my old more expensive one. I think it has been great value for money so far. I hope it lasts long.

Kenmore Series 500, top loader washer with automatic load sensing - Ordered online, everything went wrong (multiple order numbers) from beginning to end. But, my biggest complaint is the actual washer. It has an automatic water sensor that doesn't give you enough water to completely wash the load. Even after two rinses, the clothes still come out with lint on my black capris (washed separately). They are not thoroughly washed and result in a big tight knot in my washer upon completion. I have tried deep wash, but there's no way to get additional water in it. The water sensor barely gives you enough water to get the clothes damp. I hate it. Give me the old fashioned one with a knob to select water level, and an agitator would be nice too. Not sure what genius decided washing clothes with no agitator and no water would be a great idea!!!

Kenmore Series 100 HE, Worse washer ever! It doesn't get your clothes clean, sometimes not even getting them all wet! Rugs, blankets, etc, don't even think about it. The tub is supposed to fill by sensing your load size, but it never gets full enough, you can't do a full load at one time, the clothes are still dirty, there are dry spots that haven't even seen the water. You have to put your detergent in the bottom because if you throw it on top, guess what? It's still there in all it's soggy streaky glory when the washer stops, along with all the lint, hair and whatever was on your clothes when you tossed them into the washer. I could do a better job pounding my clothes with a rock...

Fisher Paykel washer and dryer. They are from New Zealand I believe. They were fairly low priced for high-efficiency machines and the washer was a top loader AND conserved water (like the front loaders) but for a better cost. The washer drum is floating and is moved with a magnet. No parts rubbing and strap to change. Pretty neat technology. It also has a large capacity allowing bigger loads (and less of them). The dryer is efficient and takes exactly the same amount of time as the washer to wash a load... Perfect timing. The washer has high spin speed which explains why the drying is fairly quick. We have had these machines probably close to 8-10 years now. Brand reputation is important and we are willing to do some research as we did when we bought the Fisher & Paykel machines. We always look for the best value for our money for products that meet our requirements. We are also willing to wait for the sales. The critiques you read from users are very insightful and we can be turned off if several people have issues with something that we know would bother us too. For example, low quality construction, excessive vibration, too much soap residue, too much time to dry, etc. We are very happy with the Fisher Paykel washer and dryer we purchased 8-10 years ago. They are high efficiency, large capacity, top loader (washing machine); making them very user friendly and efficient. I have no regrets even though they don't look as cool as the front loaders but on the other side, I probably paid half the price of the good looking ones and I have the same value.

In Aug 2013 I replaced my old Kenmore Front Load washer, that I had purchased in 2005, with the Kenmore Elite Model 41172211 Washer. My old Front loader had worked great most of the time. In the 8 years we had it I replaced a pump and had to replace a set of drum shocks but other than that it worked great. One thing I never had a problem with was mold and mildew growing in the washer. I very seldom had to clean it out and never worried about having to leave the door open. Our clothes were always cleaned very well. However, the new Front Load Elite Model # 41172211 has been nothing but problems since we got it. There was an odd odor right from the start. And there is a constant fight to keep mold and mildew from growing in areas along the rubber boot. I leave the door open. Run bleach through it on the "Clean Washer" cycle usually at least every 2 weeks. Really "water efficient". I think not. Not when you have to run cleaning cycles all the time without a load in it. The other problem is that my wife has a beauty shop and we wash a lot of her towels in the machine. With my old machine there was never a problem getting the hair out of the towels. Every time I run a load of her towels I have to wipe hair off of the glass on the door and out of the rubber boot. And don't tell me I need to clean the screen because I do that about once a week.I grew up with my parents always having a Kenmore washer and dryer. I have been married for 32 years now and my wife and I have only had Kenmore washers and dryers up to this point. But if this is the "quality" of Kenmore front loaders I will NEVER buy another Kenmore. As far as I'm concerned this machine has an engineering deficiency that needs to be corrected and Sears/Kenmore has a public relations nightmare with this washer.Sears needs to make good for anyone having mold problems in these machines by either refunding our purchase price so we can go elsewhere and get a machine a decent machine or replacing what we have with a model that doesn't have a mold problem. I know personally I am considering seeking a lawyer that specializes in class action litigation. I have seen enough people posting about this problem not only on this site but many others about this specific problem. If it wasn't a design/engineering problem then my old machine would have grown mold and it didn't.

It's about Maytag MDE7600AYW Atlantis electric dryer issues, Nov 2005 model. There is an obvious design flaw. I have replaced the automatic dryer control board twice since 2005. The unit simply never shuts off, or cooks your clothes for 2 hours. Who will recall this unit and fix the circuit? They will not admit their error.

This washer is only 5 years old. There is no reason it should be failing already. Even with small loads, it continues to go into the UE mode, and repeats cycles constantly. So the alleged energy savings is out the window. It will frequently take as long as 2 hours to get one load done. And that's if it finishes at all. LG televisions we have are pretty reliable. No complaints. But their washers and dryers are not worth the money spent.
