I purchased Duet washer 3 years ago, but it wasnt installed until a little over a year and a half ago. Machine started making loud noise during spin cycle, and eventually would not spin the water out of the machine. I contacted Whirlpool and was told there was a defect in that particular WP model and if it was confirmed by a provided tech, WP would provide the parts for the repair. The tech confirmed the problem, and I was told the repair would still cost over $450, even with the free parts. When I approached WP and asked them to fix the machine since it was a known defect, it was denied that there was a defect.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator less than a year ago and both the door and icemaker have a problem in which PC Richards, the store I purchased it from, has had to service the refrigerator at least 3 times and have not resolved the problem. The door does not close properly and every time I use the icemaker, condensation builds up. Each time a tech person comes to my home, a different reason is given. I need this problem resolved. I dont need to monitor the refrigerator like a sick patient.

I am very sorry I bought this machine. CU rated it pretty good. Nope. 1 - It rarely dries everything completely. e.g., the collars of t-shirts or turtleneck shirts are damp after the load is finished. I have to run the machine again....Energy efficient? Energy schmefficient. and I havent even TRIED to use the low heat delicate cycle. 2 - The cute modern buttons are hard to push in. 3 - The top of the machine doesnt have a level lid... Its curved. Not very useful for setting anything on while you work at any part of your laundering process.

My Whirlpool microwave broke. Im not sure how or why so today I purchased another 2 actually. Both were too big. The model I purchased is discontinued. I had to remove part of my Marble Backsplash - the turntable is tiny however mic is huge. Work on making microwave for smaller areas. Stick to get or Samsung for a nice size microwave not a Mongo mega oven above your oven.

Have owned my Whirlpool washer model# LSR 701 0PQ1 two years and had no problems with it before today... The washer was used once a week since I purchased it and only myself use it. There is only myself and my son and our loads are always small. Well today I put a load in and went to finish my other housework and when I went to check on the load, there was a weird smell in my laundry room. As I approach the washer to put softener in the rinse I saw a flash behind on the left hand side of the control panel where the size of load and water temperature selection is. I unplugged the washer and put the fire out. Have never had anything happen like this before with this brand. I already know I have to buy another washer but am scared to get another Whirlpool.

I purchased new and installed my heater in 2003. SN: 0253109845, MN: EE3J50RD0454. I started removing and replacing or cleaning heating elements in 2011: pretty good service. In 2015 I noticed black and brown water coming from the hot water taps. I opened it again, cleaned it, and realized anode replacement was required. That is when trouble started.I tried everything usual including 4 foot cheater bar, heating the coupling, impact wrench, tapping with a hammer, etc. Finally found a 700 ft-lb. pneumatic impact wrench on sale at Harbor Freight. After serious wear and tear on my air compressor and about 1-1/2 hours of work with the impact wrench, I got it out. The threads were messed up some, but I did not look close. I had to put the 1-1/4 inch head back in to return it to service while I found and ordered an anode. Could not get one from Whirlpool and could not buy one in Lowes where I bought the heater.The surprise was when I cleaned the threads to put the head back in, I had to use almost as much time and torque to get it to stop leaking as I did when I took it out. Then, when I did try to install the new anode, it required to same effort. Conclusion, There was some kind of imperfection with the threads in the coupling that messed up the threads on the initial installation of the anode, which made it nearly impossible to remove. Whirlpools quality control stinks. The next one will NOT be Whirlpool.

This is a good customer service (CS) review. Whirlpool knows about the defect and continues to distribute the fridge this way. We have a Whirlpool model #WRF757SDEM01 we purchased this year (2017). We love the size and the fact that the ice bin is in the door and takes up very little room. Our only complaint prior to this issue was the ice and water do not always come out gracefully. So we were happy overall till a large block of ice formed in the back of the fridge. My original call to CS was great. They did not ask me a bunch of stupid questions, just said that should not be happening and scheduled a service call.Service guy knew exactly what it was because he had repaired the same model with the same issue several times. It is a defect in the dual cooling/defrost system that Whirlpool knows about, but continues to produce. Two parts need to be replaced and one part had to be ordered. Which was not a big deal since two days were needed to thaw out the mini glacier. We lost food so I made a second call to CS and again there were no stupid questions or arguments. They got a $75 debit card in the mail to us. So I thank Whirlpools CS reps, but sure wish the manufacturing side of things were a little more diligent in production. Certainly this cost them money on all accounts.

GFG461LVT2 - In October of 2010 I purchased a Whirlpool Gold Fridge and Stove. Its been about 3.5 years and two of the caps that go on top of the range burners are chipped. All of the caps are badly stained and despite the manual instructions to wash them in mild soapy water, they do not come clean. They dont come clean using heavy duty Easy Off cleaner. In addition, the seal on the oven door has apparently failed because the glass is foggy on the inside. Today I phoned Whirlpool after going to their website. I first spoke to a parts representative who advised that I would have to pay $47.00 per cap or $115.00 for all five burner caps. I was transferred to another department as I thought I should get the appliance parts and door fixed for free. The appliance is only 3.5 years old. I was told that the appliance is only guaranteed for 1 year and I would have to pay dearly to remedy the two problems. This appliance is Whirlpools Gold series. It supposed to be top-of-the-line - the price tag was certainly top of the line. Im very disappointed in American workmanship and the companys lack of integrity. Not too long ago I purchased a Whirlpool (aka Maytag) front loading washer. I now own a Samsung. The point is that designed obsolescence will force consumers to purchase products made outside of the US because some of us cannot afford to buy or repair appliances, cars, etc., every couple of years.

Stainless steel side-by-side refrigerator (4 yrs. old) - I have to continually clean the rust stains. Ive used the products Whirlpool has suggested and the rust continues to appear. Lowes extended warranty does not cover this problem because it is cosmetic; Whirlpool reps say its due to the coastal area where I live and that they cant do anything about it! I understand that there are many customers experiencing the same problems with Whirlpool products. Their customer service is worthless and is their warranty to stand behind their products!

We purchased a Whirlpool Duet Sport Front-Loading washing machine December 5, 2006. Approximately six months later, the machine would not come on! Service determined the motherboard was faulty. Since it was under warranty, they replaced it. We continued to have the same issue with turning the machine on. The technician instructed us to hold the start button down for a minute or unplug the machine to reset it. The problem persisted. Now, we are told it needs yet another motherboard. Cost - $500! We paid about $650 for the machine! (The manufacturer only offers a one year warranty on the motherboard) What incentive do I have to purchase this part? After all, Whirlpool only warranties it for a year! That in itself, tells me they cant guarantee the quality of their product.

I purchased a #Whirlpool; 4.3 cu. ft. Mini Refrigerator Stainless Steel BC-127B from @Target. There was a delay putting it into service (6 mos), so the Target store warranty was expired. The unit remained in its factory shipped packaging until put in service, so nothing out of the ordinary there. After barely two weeks of use, the compressor died. I followed all instructions (including waiting 8-10 weeks) from Whirlpool, but still have not received a refund or been given any information beyond we escalated it to our warranty team but havent heard back yet. The unit was a poorly made piece of junk in other respects as well. There are dozens of complaints about precisely this - defective units - on any site. Do not be fooled by the dishonest way that #Targets website lists reviews. Dig deeper.

Ive had this refrigerator at an upscale rent house for 2.5 years. I have invested over $1,000 in repairs, all of which happened after the one year warranty was up. Now I have to replace it completely because it makes a loud noise that my tenants cant stand. Dont buy this unit.

I purchased a WhirlPool dishwasher in 2016. The primary motor had to be replaced in 2018. WP paid for the part; however, I had to cover the labor, which was expensive. In 2019 the drying element broke. Again, WP will replace the part but leave me to cover the labor. Ive decided to purchase a new dishwasher (none of the Whirlpool brands) with a 5 year warranty. Whirlpool Dishwasher purchased at ABC Warehouse in Chesterfield, MI and was delivered on 10-2-2014, and one year later, we noticed that the tips of the lower basket were coming off. We contacted the holder of the extended warranty (5-yr.) and also Whirlpool. Both replied the fault was cosmetic and was not covered by warranty, that only mechanical/electrical components were covered. When we were buying the extended warranty, we were told that we were covered for all issues that may occur. We werent told cosmetic flaws were not covered. I guess consumers should, before buying a new product, make a specific list of possible problems, and make sure whats covered and not covered. We have been unable to resolve this issue.

I replaced our old Whirlpool washer that we had for 10 years with a new Whirlpool high-efficiency front load washer in August 2020 - it quit working on December 11, 2020. Got a repair person through Whirlpool on December 22nd who said I need a new motherboard. I am still waiting!!! 42 days with no washer and Whirlpool has no answers regarding the parts arrival and I can’t even sell the thing and get another brand because it doesn’t work! My top loading Whirlpool washer model WTW57ESVW1 failed after just over two years. When I called my service man, he turned it on and immediately told me it was not worth fixing as the transmission was bad and this model was known for this issue. I contacted Whirlpool Corp. and the person on the phone stated she could do nothing for me. I asked for a supervisor and was told she would give me a discount on parts, but I had to find out just what part it would be before she would tell me what percentage of a discount she could give me and the service call was my responsibility. Due to this treatment, I will not buy another Whirlpool nor will I recommend it to any of my friends. I will also post on Facebook my experience with Whirlpool.

A couple of years ago, we had 2 natural gas hot water heaters installed. We immediately had a service call to replace the thermostat on one of them. Then recently, the other one had to be replaced because of the leaky tank. It was still in warranty, and we had to pay $425 for the old one to be removed and the new one installed. Now, this one has a bad thermostat and the A & E Factory Service is coming tomorrow to install the new thermostat. We have been inconvenienced by this for a couple of weeks as we have no hot water in the master bath. We were just lucky that we had one hot water heater working in the other part of the house. I think that Whirlpool should have paid the $425 for the installation as the original hot water heater was in warranty. Now, I hope that tomorrows visit will be covered by the warranty. Next time we need an appliance, we will not be purchasing a Whirlpool.

After 32 years of marriage and nothing but Whirlpool (because my mother swore by Whirlpool), that is all we have used. I am so disappointed in the Cabrio washer/dryer set we purchased at Lowes. After 18 months, the dryer just quit. The best part is, we hang clothes out most of the time. It was used one winter, $1400 wasted. We put a cheap Admiral in our second home and spent $500 total and they work fine. I will never ever purchase Whirlpool anything or recommend to anyone. Again, you lost a family tradition.

Why do I have to select a star? This product deserves none. My experience with a brand new washer has been horrible. I purchased the washer/dryer Whirlpool set from Lowes on 7/1/17. The washer does not agitate and it makes a zooming noise for hours, I have to eventually shut it off and take my clothes to the laundromat. Technicians have come out 4-5 times to “fix” it and replace parts and it is still not working. I called Whirlpool today again and they want to send a technician out again. I told them I cant keep missing work to wait for a technician which is costing me money. But they don’t care. They should be ashamed of selling these manufacturer defected products and then simply refuse to take them back. I wasted around $1700/set on their defected washer and I hope they make it last as they will not sell another product it depends on me purchasing it.I am livid to see how cowardly these big corporations get away with treating the little guy so poorly. Even the repairman said Whirlpool isnt making them like they used to even though they are charging more for newer appliances. The freezer has clogged, ice maker already broken, have to replace $400.00 for just the icemaker. I bought my glass top stainless electric Whirlpool range in April of 2019. It worked great until December 2019. Four days before Christmas my daughter was home alone and using the oven to heat up dinner. She smelled a terrible smell and there was a ton of electrical blue smoke. She called me at work and I told her to turn it off. My husband came home as I was talking to her and pulled out the stove. The place where the stove meets to cord had burst into flames. The wires in the cord were so badly damaged they were all exposed and singed. Our house could have caught fire! The whirlpool company will not stand by their product. They blamed it on the team at Lowe’s who installed the range...Lowe’s has been nothing but confusing and frustrating to deal with! I can’t believe how we’ve been treated. Do not buy whirlpool! In all of my 50 years of marriage and buying stoves, I have never had an oven breakdown. I live in Canada - I purchased three appliances, all Whirlpool 2 years ago. I had to have a service call on the fridge three weeks ago - a little rubber nipple was clogged up and water was running into my freezer. Bill $100.00 - two weeks ago, the broil element in my stove would not turn off when the bake cycle heated up. Actually, you did not have to press the fast heat button as the broil came on by itself. I have been waiting almost two weeks for the part - today I was told it would be another week. The part has to come from the US - what ever happened to Whirlpool Canada???? - I am told the bill will be $350.00 and maybe more plus the service call. I do not find this acceptable. What do you do when you have already invested the money in the product. Bring back the old Moffat stoves. I would like to be reimbursed for the money I have put out and will put out.

We purchased the Cabrio Agi top loading washing machine in 2011 (3 years ago). After 2 years it started leaking from the plastic drum (Bearings?). Luckily we have it in the basement on concrete floor, so there was no damage, just frustration. This was poor purchase on our part. We should have searched for more reviews. The wash time is ridiculous; it is too long, an average of 50 minutes per load. I dont know about how clean the clothes were, I guess they were OK. I didnt notice a smell, or them looking dingy. The Cabrio is a piece of junk if the bearings went out after 2 years?? We just purchased a heavy duty Speed Queen, top loading, agitator washer. My wife loves this, its like the old Maytag we had. They told us they wont be selling these washers after next year. Buy them while you can. The Cabrio is headed to scrap yard.

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer less than 2 years ago. These are supposed to be high efficiency appliances, but the washer has never cleaned the clothes well and the dryer often has to be run more than once in order to get the clothes dry. Then, about two weeks ago, the washer started making such a loud noise on the spin cycle that it sounded like a jet plane taking off. It was hard to hear the television when it was running. Today, it started screeching and water leaked on the floor. I called the number listed on my manual and was basically told that it would cost half of what we had paid for the machine to fix it. What efficiency, a poor machine that lasts less than two years. We will never buy Whirlpool appliances again.

It has plenty of room. The compartments within the refrigerator are well organized. There is plenty of room in the freezer. Have had this for about eight years and going strong.

As a consumer, Im very disappointed in this Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer. It does NOT clean your clothes. Many times Im washing my clothes twice, only loading a 1/3 of a load of laundry in it because of this problem. No matter what you do, it just doesnt clean your clothes. Has anyone considered putting a law-suit against the company. They will NOT stand behind this issue, NOR replace your washer with something that works. Maybe that is what it will take. I have been married for 43 years and started my marriage with a Kenmore Washer and Dryer. That was because my mother, aunt, and grandmother all had Kenmore Washers and Dryers. Kenmore was made by Whirlpool. In 43 years I have gone through two sets of Kenmore Washers and Dryers, and one set of Whirlpool Washer and Dryer. I have always been very pleased with your product and have never considered buying anything else. However, last year we bought a new Whirlpool washer and dryer. I have no complaints about the dryer, but this washer is a piece of **! It is a cabrio top-loading high efficiency low-water washer. What idiot came up with this idea? Tonight I am once again having to divide my washer load and run them for at least a second time. This is not cost effective!!! This sprinkling with water and sucking it out doesnt work. Not to mention that since we have gotten these wonderful energy saving appliances our electric bill has increased instead of decreasing. You need to make a washing machine with a wash tub and agitator like you use too.

We bought our Whirlpool Refrigerator a little over three years ago. Within a few months we started having problems with the unit. From ice maker issues, cooling and freezing. Initially the frig was covered under Whirlpools 1 year warranty. Then our extended 3 year warranty kicked in through HH Gregg which they supplied for free because of their poor handling of the initial sale. We have lost track in how many times a repair man has come out to work on the refrigerator. In the last year alone its been at least 8 times. The most recent problem had been the freezer not defrosting properly to the point where we had to store food in our neighbors freezer. The repairman has tried everything he knows and is stumped. Well our extended warranty has run out but theyll continue to work on the problem as long as we report the issue within 30 days which creates a whole different set of issues. The extended warranty states they will replace the refrigerator if it has the same problem 3 times. However what they dont tell you is that if you call BEFORE 3 time period its considered a recall and that doesnt count towards the 3 strike rule. We contacted Whirlpool and they wont cover the refrigerator because the repair company isnt on their approved list. Really a Sears repairman isnt approved? So buyer beware of a lemon Whirlpool Frig! They seem to have a way of not covering their product.

I purchased a Whirlpool microwave oven from American Furniture/TV in Fenton, Missouri on 11-13-2010. It had a Whirlpool 1 year warranty and a Performance Guarantee for five years. I noticed recently that the plastic on the door had hairline cracks near the handle and now is beginning to crack around the glass on the front door. I called American when I noticed the cracks by the handle and was told that it was cosmetic and not covered. Now the cracks around the glass may be a bigger problem if they let fumes out from the microwave. I am waiting for a second answer from American. I feel like the problem is with the plastic itself.

Regarding a Whirlpool Refrigerator (model ET8CHMXKQ04) purchased in 05. I dont remember exactly when the problem began but the freezer starts its defrost cycle, water drips down through the refrigerator compartment (soaking all paper/cardboard covered products), collects under the crisper trays and eventually spills out onto the floor. Its a river of water that requires a towel to collect.I believe whats missing is some sort of collection funnel and tube that catches this dripping water and delivers it to the evaporation tray behind the base cover plate under the refrigerator. Obviously, Whirlpool has no quality control nor does it do any field tests to ensure their products are designed and operate properly.

Most of my appliances are Whirlpool - dishwasher, refrigerator, clothed dryer and the Cabrio washer. The washer before this one, I had it for over 10 years and replaced it because of rust (thats another problem with Whirlpool - rust). Now the Cabrio hasnt got all kinds of problems - UL, F1 and jumping. The serviceman asked me for $450 for repair; it included a set of springs for the drum, a new electronic board and a 30-day warranty on parts and labor. Im better off buying a new one (I cant afford at this moment). My wife is scared of the darn thing and refuse to use it so now I have the job of washing and standing guard to make sure the washer doesnt leave the garage. I bought a 40-gallon hot water heater in November 2007. First problem I had with it was in 2009 when the pilot wouldnt stay lit. They sent me a requisition number to take to Lowe’s to pick up the part (igniter) and gave me a service number to give to the plumber to fix it. Plumber actually told me these heaters were junk and this wasnt the last problem Id have. Last Sunday (January 2012)--here we go again. Pilot went out and wont stay lit. Whirlpool is telling me its because I have a draft. Yeppers, that must be it because after they had me (arthritic 53-year old) and my disabled husband performing circus acts trying to relight it, then it was the filter on the bottom, then it was a draft. Last time I tried to light, which really someone as blind and disabled as me shouldnt be doing anyway, I about blew up. I hate getting ** by big corps. I filed a complaint with state Attorney General. If that doesnt work, hell, I think Ill take both Whirlpool and Lowe’s to small claims court. What do I have to lose? $35? Their fancy-schmancy lawyers will probably charge them a couple grand for their efforts. Im sick and tired of getting the short end of the stick. Since when is a hot water tank supposed to last a mere 4 years? Oh, by the way, Whirlpool says it’s all on me now--well see about that. First of all, both of these chumps just lost a customer and I Facebooked by friends about this pleasant experience plus included a link to this page. Consequences are all mine, I guess. Its pretty swell bathing in a sink full of water that you heated on the stove. I dont have any money because Im too busy giving it all to big insurance and big pharma right now. What a country!

Whirlpool Gold French Door - I purchased this fridge in Aug. 2009 (model GX2FHDXVQ00 22cu. ft. French door with bottom freezer). Paid 1800.00. The fridge stopped working after 5 years, but the freezer works fine. A fridge should last at least 10 years. I wont buy another Whirlpool appliance! JUNK!

One month ago the freezer quit working. Lowes sent out a repairman who told us it would cost over $1000 to fix. This fridge is only 18 months old. I called Lowes and the Whirlpool and they offered to supply the parts. Repairman came out yesterday and said the refrigerator cant be fixed. Am now waiting for Whirlpool to call us back and tell us what recourse we have. Very disappointed. Fridge is now sitting unplugged in my kitchen. Will never buy another Whirlpool product again. If there are so many issues, there should have been a recall on these items!

I am very impressed with Whirlpool. After seeing my review, they contacted me and offered to send the parts to fix the problem with the LED lights. They sent a Whirlpool authorized repairman to my home with the understanding that since the refrigerator is out of warranty, I would have to pay him. Whirlpool also asked me to return the faulty part so they can research the problem. We are once again happy owners of Whirlpool products. Thank you Whirlpool!

My family has been without hot water for two weeks. We have the same water heater, we have been to Lowes where we were told the recalled parts were no longer available, unless we wanted to drive 3 1/2 hours to Arkansas to get it. Whirlpool wants to give me a free part for $36.00 worth of shipping and handling! All the local suppliers say I have to go through Lowes, or the manufacturer. I dont want to give whirlpool another dime. This has been a fiasco. How much more can a company disrespect their customer, than to make us pay for a faulty product replacement? It is unacceptable. This is ridiculous. It is December, and I have a family of 7, including a child in a wheelchair.

Ive had this dishwasher for years and never a problem. My dishes are always clean and this dishwasher dries my dishes completely in a very short amount of time.

This washer is 5 years old and the top is rusting out on the inner rim. I have city water that has been tested and found to be totally safe to use and drink. Neighbors using the same water and owning different brand washers have no rust problems. Does anyone else have the same problem with their Cabrio washer?

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio washer 2 years ago. It started recently messing up and making a loud noise during spin cycle and gave me a UL code. I called the repairman and he is stating several things need replacing. Cost more than washer did at time of purchase. Bearings and 2 other items need replacing parts. 550.00 plus labor of 250. I will never buy another Whirpool. My previous washer lasted 10 years. I got rid of it for a matching washer and dryer by Whirpool. Worst mistake and Im out a lot of money. By reading all the poor reviews. Seems like Whirlpool would do something. Its a ongoing problem. Many people have reported. I have read many similar experiences and wished I knew before purchasing this set. If you are reading this do not buy this washer and dryer set.

As very happy owners of a previous model of this fridge freezer when ours needed replacing, we went direct to Whirlpool and bought the latest model. What a mistake! Other comments on this site are so accurate if only we had seen them before. A kitchen floor covered in ice mush (cubes seem out of the question) and tepid water from the water dispenser whereas on the previous model it was chilled. Basic functions that the previous model excelled at. Sadly it is also badly designed inside the fridge. We raised these issues with Whirlpool within our first year who merely said sorry you are unhappy and thanks for your comments. Be very wary of Whirlpool products and service.

Purchased Whirlpool Microwave 1.6. The design has 5 BIG flaws. 1. Too large in depth, cabinets on each side cant open. 2. The one light under unit is so far to the back wall, you need a flashlight to cook spaghetti or use stove. 3. Too large in height, cant get a big pan on your stove. 4. Top of unit is open so much, if you spilled something from the cabinet above it would go right inside the works. 5. Instructions are hard to read & figure out, the wall hanging support is just one piece and if you dont have 2 main beams youre out of luck. GO buy a GE, put it up in 1/2 time & good & secure and works great. Has 2 lights on each side under unit. Fingers over the holes at the top. 1 inch shorter, 1 inch thinner. To my surprise the turntable is even larger, go figure.

I took the Sears salesmans suggestion and bought a high-end quiet dishwasher. It worked wonderfully until it sprung a major leak. Computer told me the phone # to call. It took a week for the Sears repairman to come out and $79 fee to just look at it. He said the fitting between the sump and the pump came off and flooded water over the electric motor. Electric motor is shot! Cost to repair is over $400 and a 3-week wait!!! When and if a new motor is installed, only then do we know if the computer is also fried. This was a high-end dishwasher. Factory warranty just ran out. Repairman said this is a common problem with this model. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL.

I purchased a front loader Whirlpool Cabrio washer/dryer in June of 2011. I was sold an extended warranty which ends June 30 of this year. I have made 4 calls to the Co which warranties the washer because it is making squeaking noises on the spin cycle. I was refused service because the customer service rep didnt “hear” anything. I finally had a local service Co check out the machine and was told the motor needs to be replaced and if under warranty I should demand it be replaced. I called again and still cannot get NSI to come out and see the problem.

Never worked proper form the start, always condensation, bottom froze and top unthawed and vice versa. No help from store or company. During any temp change the fresh food would freeze and top unfreeze and no matter how long you waited and changed settings. Junk.

We brought this in Jun 2015, within 1 weeks it developed its problems. Ive had service men out 10 times for ice buildup on the freezer side, and the refrigerator side not cold even on max setting, and the problem hasnt been solved yet.

After 16 months the Whirlpool refrigerator Model number: #WRT311SZDW00 goes out. While trying to use extended warranty Whirlpool states it will be 4 to 6 week before a technician can come out. YES- Weeks not days. Now Whirlpool states they are unable to find a technician in my area and in order to get it fixed I will need to hire the tech and seek reimbursement from them for the repair. However prior to the repair they will need to approve the repair. In the mean time I am renting a refrigerator at my cost. They lost a customer for life!!! Question- What is the purpose of the warranty? Model number: #WRT311SZDW00

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio top loader set in 2006. Honeymoon was over after the first year and I had to change the dryer element then the washer with the F51 code six months later. Last year, I had to replace the heating element again! For the last six months, I have been dealing with the dreaded UL on the washer. I cant afford to pay a technician $100 to come out and tell me whats wrong let alone what they will charge to repair a problem that, from the looks of this message board, will never be fixed. I have no choice but to get it fixed in order to sell the ** machine. I paid $1400 for this brand new set and have already invested $500 in repairs. How is this possible? I had a 20-year-old machine prior to this and never had an issue. There are lemon laws for cars, why arent there any for appliances over a certain amount? How in this day and age can a company be allowed to sell such garbage? I will never, ever buy another Whirlpool appliance as long as I live. Any other brand can have my money any day.

I have the Cabrio model WTW6400SW2. I have had it for 5 1/2 years and have been happy with it up until several months ago. The F1 would come up when the machine would lock and just start to fill. I could pause it and start it again, and it might do this 1 to 3 times. It would also do it on the rinse cycle. I have been using it because I did not want a repair bill right now. The machine was also starting to make noise when it was spinning. Well, I just happened to break my dryer yesterday so I thought I would get the washer fixed also. Well, the repairman said that the controller would cost $200 for the part, and then he said the pump roller and bearings were going. By the time you add on labor, he said, “You might want to buy a new one.” He told me that Whirlpool has completely changed the washer now because of all the problems with them. He told me to look it up on the computer, and maybe there would be a class action suit. After reading some of the reviews, I will not buy another Whirlpool again.

Whirlpool Platinum Cabrio Washer wtw8240 - Ive owned this washer for two years. Worst two years of my life. Its leaked since day one. They have attempted to repair the leaking on 5 different repair visits (told me the nozzle that puts the water in the tub doesnt stop in time and it overflows on my floor). Finally it seemed to be somewhat fixed and then it started to sound like a freight train coming through my house. They determined the bearings were worn on my tub and had to replace the whole tub unit. Seven visits. I got one month out of it and it’s leaking again. I am now out of the extended warranty I purchased. This is ridiculous. Isnt there a lemon law on appliances? I know if a dealer attempts 4 or more repairs on your car for the same problem unsuccessfully, it qualifies for the lemon law. $800 for a washing machine that dumps water all over my floor and no one can seem to fix it. Well Im done, Whirlpool. Next time I will purchase a plain washer with no bells or whistles and it wont be made by Whirlpool!

Was baking a pie when suddenly noticed the electric range had caught fire underneath the bottom of the oven. I could see partially through the slits inside that the heating element was on fire. Could not get to heating element as it covered. Shut the door and turned the oven off so the fire would die out. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I was baking pecan pie. Whirlpool is no longer a quality brand. Washing machine bought at the same time has been repaired twice since owning. Also, Aqualift technology is a joke. It doesnt remove any messes burned during cooking. I wish Id stayed away from this complaint. Bought a stove, washer, and dryer. Dryer has been the only appliance we havent had a problem with. We saved over a year to ripped off by Whirlpool. I expected a washer and stove to last far longer than 3 years. Actually would be 3 yrs come December. So disappointed.

I am so disappointed with this washer. I totally dread doing laundry. The following are the complaints: Every load comes out totally twisted and wrinkled!! The soap/fabric dispenser holds water after each load (I have to take paper towels and get the dispenser empty!!!). There is not enough water to properly clean the clothes. I have never noticed a reduction in my water bill and have had this piece of junk since 4-25-13. There is NO short cycle on this junk machine. There is an odor to my towels - like they are musty - after I dry them and use them. I use Tide HE detergent and clean the washer with Affresh (you shouldnt have to clean a washer). I should have taken the time to write a review much sooner, but decided today was the day after doing laundry. DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER.

Bought a Whirlpool range in Nov. Within a month the large burners fell apart and the reflector bowls discolored from normal use. Call Whirlpool and they sent out replacements. Within a month the first replacement fell apart and the new bowls discolored from heat again. I held off calling until the second burner fell apart and this time when I called I was told I would have to stay home to wait for a service call to have burners replaced which I could do myself and that the bowls arent covered and that it normal for them to discolor with normal use. They said I should wrap them in foil to protect them.They appear to prefer wasting time and money rather making a good product. The burner bowls from my old GE stove are still shiny after many years of use but Whirlpools cant hold the finish for a month. Please note I was an appliance tech and ran an appliance repair business for 18 years. These failures are not normal or acceptable. I will never buy Whirlpool again.

On 5/3/16 I purchased an Amana high-efficiency, low water, top loading washer. What a joke, it is a piece of junk. There is no water so clothes dont come clean, and if you leave money in the pockets no worries. As it will be right there after the clothes are washed and dried (got matching dyer also). They dont even smell clean after two washing. And now you are to purchase a cleaner to clean your washing machine. This is truly not an efficient machine in any way.

We bought a Whirlpool Gold French Door refrigerator in 2010. Just when the warranty period passed, the refrigerator started leaking water from the bottom floor. Initially, it only leaked about once per month. But as time passed, the refrigerator started leaking more often, and now its leaking every 2-3 days. I saw many people complaining on the same problem and some of them even submitted since 2006. I dont know why Whirlpool doesnt resolve this issue in many years.

We bought a Whirlpool washing machine two years ago and bought the extended warranty. The machine quit working so we called the warranty service number. We have had a repair man sent here 5 times from them. The technicians have put two new control boards and a new door lock on it. They have another part ordered for this week.The machine is still not working after five visits from service technicians and they say they cant fix it. The extended warranty service plan says if it cant be fixed they will replace it or send us a check for it. We have contacted them several times and they dont want to make good on it. So we have a broke down washing machine and have to go to a Laundromat every week.

I went from an HE front loader to an HE top loader (Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7000DW0) due to the risk of mildew with the front loader. Im not the only one doing laundry and if someone else does it, it always seems that they shut the door when empty, contributing to moisture and mold that needed to be cleaned out of the gaskets. I am so unhappy with my top loader HE washer. When I stop the machine and look, I always see my laundry half covered with dingy water, sometimes part of it still dry at the top and it is disgusting. I frequently have to rewash loads due to detergent getting trapped in folds or pockets created that hold on to dirt and lint, even being careful with the detergent amount. I run the washer now every time with settings of deep water, extra rinse, heavy load and presoak with instructions, with settings taped to the top for others.At almost 1 1/2 hours each load, we just cant keep up. The laundry still forms pockets and sheets form a giant tent over the entire load that has to be unraveled at the end of the cycle and wound so tight it had no chance of rinsing. I had to get a repair person out because it got out of balance and he had a small hand-held computer to enter a code to rebalance it. When we discussed the issues I was having, he was ready for everything I was doing wrong. He told me I can not wash blankets or large items (I thought I was buying large capacity with such an enormous drum). He told me they have caught people adding water with a bucket during cycles and that the washer software can tell them if people are trying to work around the system which voids the warranty.Apparently, this is a common complaint he blames on the government wanting high efficiency so they make the numbers look good, sacrificing the ability of the washer to perform at what a consumer expects. I have never seen the water in my drum higher than a couple inches and the drum is HUGE, but never used to capacity. He told me his wife demanded they get a commercial washer because she was so angry about how poorly it cleaned. I feel so scammed and I wish I could have my old agitator back. $100 for the repair call, $150 for the code to be put in and Im on warning that they will see if I try to add water, run out of balance or dont comply with any reason they can void the warranty by just checking the data the washer is collecting on us.

Cabrio Whirlpool Washer - Bought this washer from HHGregg in Orange Park, Florida. This washing machine is horrible!! It does not fill the tub with water enough to even cover the clothes. Some of the clothes are not even wet. They just sit in dirty water, no agitation. Then it refills with water and the rinse water is dirty, there is no agitation or movement during the wash cycle. My clothes are stained and dried food and dirt are still on the clothes. My white clothes are now gray. This is the worst machine. I have tried everything. I am now hand washing the clothes and trying to add water to at least cover the clothes but the sensor just drains the extra water out. This machine is less than a year old. There should be a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool. I am not the only one; everyone that has this machine says it is a nightmare.

I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator from Best Buy 11/20/19. It has been nothing but a nightmare. It freezes up and defrosts into the refrigerator.! I called Whirlpool about the situation. The company they use to fix my fridge S&S Appliance has not been keeping accurate records. I have all the calls from Best Buy and S&S Appliance. I was told today-all my records didn’t count. Best Buy Geek Squad couldn’t repair so they turned everything over to Whirlpool. So about every week someone comes out and fiddles with it and tell me it is fine. 2 days later the same. I have owned many Whirlpool products and never have I been so disappointed. Their service has been neglecting and I don’t know how anyone would want to buy Whirlpool. They have set me up another service appointment with S&S Appliance. Obviously I have bought a lemon and no one takes any responsibility. Good luck with Whirlpool!!

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer - This is a horrible washer. I just read the reviews after having struggled with dirty clothes, smelly clothes, sour clothes and yes, our water bill is way higher using this nasty machine. I will never buy a Whirlpool again. Very VERY disappointed and dissatisfied with this machine. I usually always read reviews before buying anything but the sales guy at Garner Appliance said this was an awesome machine. We bought the matching set. And to read each and every consistently bad review with the same issues. They should replace these pieces of junk for us free. The dryer doesnt fall too far behind.

We bought a Whirlpool dishwasher and microwave from a reputable appliance store. The dishwasher top basket broke within 30 days. The microwave lost 100% power within 30 days. Both under warranty but parts had to be ordered. Couldnt use either appliance for over a month. What is going on Whirlpool? We need a refrigerator, but I no longer trust your brand. I dont want it to quit and then lose all of our food! Please get it together and make quality products again.

Purchase at 2014 and still working and nowadays, they dont make refrigerators, washer or dryers to last more than 3 to 4 years. The quality of appliances, really such since the manufacturers are greedy. And after the 5 year Warranty expires, only Lowes buys back the the appliances and Home Depot. Their Warranty specifies that you have to purchase from them to replacement of an appliances if purchased from them!??? Therefore I would not buy any appliance from them. A refrigerator, washer or dryer, you can take parts from each one and build a whole new appliance, which is very disappointing! When I grew up, my mom and dad had a Whirlpool dishwasher and it was the ONLY dishwasher we EVER had. The SAME one, for over 20 years! So, with confidence, I purchased a mid-range unit. (over $600 2015). By 2016, ONE year later, I was already buying replacement parts because the top rack was falling apart and the bottom spinner broke as well. The parts were extremely expensive and hard to find. Now, a mere 4 years later, you cannot find ANY parts for this machine and there are so many issues with the unit. It is no longer functioning. When it did work it ran for 4 HOURS!! Even then, the dishes are filthy. I am so upset by whirlpool. I want a full refund from the company for treating their loyal customer so badly.

Shortly after the warranty expired my refrigerator started building ice on the floor of the freezer. With the build-up of ice the freezer started leaking on the bottom. Sometimes it gets so bad I have a hard time closing the freezer door properly. The Model# GB9FHDXWS06, Serial# K31505096 of my Whirlpool refrigerator. I do not recommend any Whirlpool product. Do your research before you buy any Whirlpool product.

My husband and I have been loyal Whirlpool consumers for over thirty years. When it came time to purchase a new refrigerator, we purchased the GC3SHAXVY00 model. It was quite expensive but we decided to splurge. This was the worst mistake. Let me also state that we have had the refrigerator now for maybe 5 years. Within the first 6 months, the door that is the central operating system for the appliance went out. The appliance was still under warranty at that time, so Whirlpool ordered a new door. The technician replaced the door and left. However, within 15 minutes of the new door being replaced, the entire refrigerator began to shut down, not just the freezer. Fortunately, we had the techs cell and we called him and he came back and put the old door on until he could order another new door. That made three doors in the first 6 months of us owning the appliance. Then, the ice maker started freezing up. We were told just to defrost the ice maker once a month, that this was a problem the company was experiencing with this 500-dollar refrigerator. Then, the water line started freezing so we would have to leave the freezer door open for about half an hour every week to get the line to thaw so that we could get the water to come out of the dispenser. Now, the ice maker has quit completely. Are we going to call a whirlpool tech? NO, what for?This refrigerator has been a true lemon from day one. I have three more Whirlpool appliances that have broken down within 6 weeks of purchasing them. It was time to replace our appliances so we thought we would support our local economy by purchasing Whirlpool. To say the least, that will never happen again. I will be replacing all my appliances with LG from this day forward.

We purchased the Whirlpool Gold Gas Range (model #GW399LXUQ06) in November 2011. Last week, I noticed the porcelain enamel finish on the stove top grates has fallen off in pieces. I contacted Whirlpool today, February 14, 2012, about this issue and they advised me it is a cosmetic problem which is not covered under the warranty. They advised me that it would cost over $100 per grate to replace. We have had this stove for less than three months and I feel these grates are defective and Whirlpool should be responsible for replacing them. I am very dissatisfied with this stove.

I am a retiree after 35 years and 5 months, the last 20 plus years on salary. I purchased a new Whirlpool washer on April 18, 2012 at Lowes in Tiffin, Ohio. The clerk said to take the receipt to Clyde to apply for my rebate. I was informed by a receptionist that we only get a rebate if our purchase is from Sears. I only went to Lowes because of the urgency and was not aware of this change in your policy. I consider this a real slap in the face after all the years of what I consider excellent service to Whirlpool Corporation.

All of sudden without any notice there was such a clatter. We dashed downstairs to see what was the matter. My washer Cabrio was on its side off balance. I hollered what is the matter. We sit it up, see the back side bulge out and with some searching we discovered the balance thingy was broke. Now I bought April 2012 while going through Chemo May 2014. I burying my washing. Call Whirlpool. Well they say I file this away sorry about your luck - lol. Do not buy this washer unless you want another one in two years junk and they will not help. Well they will if you give them more. The 1400 dollars I already gave them for the set is not enough.

Ive trusted Whirlpool washers for 20 yrs. Ive only had to buy 2 in my lifetime and neither have let me down. I will always purchase Whirlpool as it is a brand I can trust. Features and reliability are important to my family. Whirlpool has it all!

My mother bought these two years ago along with a washing machine and fridge. And now they are falling apart. The dishwasher wouldnt clean the dishes so my mother called the warranty people. It took a week to have someone come out and say it was fixed. The very first load it wouldnt clean the dishes. Now it takes another week to have someone to come out and say they need to order a part. Once the part gets here two weeks later it took 6 hours to fix. They replace the whole bottom half of the dishwasher, could have easily replaced the whole unit. Now a week later the clothes dryer doesnt turn on.

I have called numerous times to complain about my new Cabrio washer. The first thing the employee did at the service center was to send me an owners manual, which I did not receive when I purchased the washer at Lowes. I followed all of the washing recommendations and still had problems with soap being left on the clothes. I called again and they said that perhaps there was something wrong with the washer and they were going to send a service technician out. I told her that he would probably not find anything wrong with it. I was just very unhappy with the product. She told me that we should check it out and not to worry. It was still under warranty and Whirlpool was going to take care of the service call. The technician told me that they have received many complaints about the machine, but there were no fixes available at this time. Yesterday, I received a bill from the service company for $129.00. I called the service company and told them that Whirlpool should be billed for this, not me. She told me that I had to call Whirlpool and if they wouldnt take care of it, I would have to. I then called Whirlpool, only to be told by the customer service rep that since they didnt find anything wrong with the machine, there was nothing that could be done. I asked to speak to someone else and she let me talk to her supervisor. She pretty much repeated what I was told by the first person and it is in the owners contract. I told her that I wanted to cancel the extended warranty that I just mailed in this week and she gave me another phone number to call. I cannot express how unhappy I am with your customer service department; the lack of compassion your company displays; and how I was told one thing and then charged a fee. It would seem that you have no eagles working for your company. I cant believe that a company as large as Whirlpool does not stand behind their products.

We purchased this Gold Series Whirlpool Dishwasher about 4 years ago. It worked very well up until April of this year. At that time, the main pump stopped working and it has to be replaced. There are just two of us in the household so the dishwasher was only used 2 or 3 times a week. We also kept it very clean with no build up. The gasket around the soap dispenser came out and one of the wheels fell off of the bottom rack. We just feel that 3 1/2 years is too soon for a major appliance to stop working and fall apart, especially given the light usage.

I filed a complaint late Oct. 4, 2011 about a problem I was having with one of my Whirlpool water heaters. Chris from Whirlpool emailed and phoned me twice within 12 hours! He was courteous and very helpful. He shipped the parts that I needed overnight. They came in this evening, I installed them and everything is working great! Thanks to Whirlpool and Chris, we now have hot water!

We bought our Whirlpool Cabrio 7 years ago and it was great at first. I have not had any trouble with it ripping clothing. The clothes are clean. Its constantly breaking down. First it was the drain pump. Then the main computer board went! I called Whirlpool and of course the lady says its not covered. I had back up though. Google is amazing! I asked why this wasnt a recall as all over the web, people had this same problem. I pushed and pushed and she put me on hold. Came back to say it was in fact covered. What? Really? What changed your mind? She wasnt allowed to tell me. Supposedly had something to do with the date of manufacture. So okay, they send the repair guy out, its fixed. Now tonight, the lid locks and nothing happens! This repair was about 6 months ago. Grrrrr. Its been one thing after another with this hunk of expensive junk. When I buy an appliance I expect it to be problem free for far longer than this. I am not getting a code or anything, just dead air. So frustrating with three kids not being able to do laundry when I need it randomly :( Has anyone else had this problem? The lid locks, then does nothing. I unplugged it, pressed off and restarted it. Changed settings. Nothing is working.

Brought brand new. Had for ten years. Still going strong. Matter of fact all appliances are Whirlpool. Dishwasher, stove top, oven. I like the sharp clean look in my kitchen. Easy to clean!!

Lasted a whole two years, no warranty from Whirlpool. No biggie until I read countless complaints that Whirlpool OTR microwaves dont last. When I was young we had a Whirlpool microwave oven that lasted 15 years. Apparently this one (made in China) is the direction Whirlpool has chosen to take, cheaper products for higher profits.

Whirlpool Duet Washing Machine model WFW9150WW02 - This machine was purchased new in Sept. 2011 along with a brand new dryer. We started noticing a rumbling sound within the first year, but both machines did a fantastic job on the laundry. Then last week, the washing machine didnt spin out a load of laundry. We called the company and they scheduled a service visit through A&E Factory Service. The technician immediately diagnosed the problem as a bad bearing and said that he had seen the problem frequently with this model and put it down to a design defect. The bearing is housed in a stainless sheath protected by a rubber seal, but the seal lets water in, which rusts the bearing. The cost to repair it was over $700. He suggested I call WP and ask for a concession, whereby the company would at least pick up all or part of the cost of parts. The service representative summarily dismissed the request, saying the company had no obligation to stand behind the product as the machine was out of warranty. I said that this was unacceptable. She was pleasant, but kept asking questions and putting me on hold. Ultimately, she said the same thing. Whirlpool was once a dependable name, no more.

My experience w/ Whirlpool has been disastrous. Whatever you do read the reviews on products before purchasing, do your homework first before purchasing any major appliance. Whirlpool company and its employees are a joke. We are paying consumers and spent our hard earned dollars to support a company that could care less about us and our problems with their products they sell to us which are a piece of crap. I purchased a refrigerator made by Whirlpool from hhgregg in Oct 2015, which took 2 months to get it delivered. The refrigerator is not a year old yet, and cannot get anyone to come out to repair it. I have called Whirlpool numerous times, and so have my husband to come and repair a refrigerator that is less than a year old.The ice maker stopped working. Then I came home and discovered that the refrigerator is not cool, and everything in the bottom freezer had almost thawed out, and a repairman was supposed to come on August 31, 2016. It has been hot as Hades, during August, Sept, in the high 90s and they had the nerve to call and say they had to order the icemaker and when it came in someone would be out to fix it. I called the company in Maryland to find out what part did they order because a technician hadnt been out at this point to determine what part needed to be replaced. I called Whirlpool, and yes was put on hold for 45 minutes each time, and when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that the manager said I could call a repairman and they would reimburse me up to $150.00. I replied That that is not my job. Your job is to send a repairman to fix it.The name of the company that they gave me and the phone number is located in Maryland, I live in the state of Virginia past Richmond, 3 hours away. Then I was told by the company in Maryland that they dont have technicians to Repair Whirlpool Refrigerators. This is totally unacceptable. It is Sept 19, and since August no one from Whirlpool has been out to fix it, neither have they tried to rectify the problem. Bottom Line, DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT, not from hhgregg, Sears, Home Depot, Lowes, anywhere because this is how they treat customers. I have an 88 year old Aunt that lives with us that were responsible for, and she cant even get a glass of ice cold water from a brand new refrigerator thats still under warranty. Whats wrong with this picture?

I just bought a Whirlpool Duet Front Loader, and it vibrates excessively and wont fully rinse out all of the detergent. I have to take the tray out each time and rinse. Also, it has a musty smell.Whirlpool sent a repairman out to replace the shocks on a washer that is less than 2 months old. The repairman told me to use less detergent, but I am only using a teaspoon of powder detergent which is recommended and using Affresh once a month. There is nothing they can do about it till it is deemed unrepairable.

I will be brief. Bought Whirlpool ref. model #WRF560Smywo4 on April 15, 2016. The refrigerator quit work July 29, 2016. Called Whirlpool. They responded they had no repairman in our area. After several calls they scheduled a repairman. He came and put on a part. It did not work. Called Whirlpool again. They sent the same repairman. He stated it needed a new compressor. A week later he arrived with the part (August 12, 2016). As of now the refrigerator is working. Now this was two (2) weeks without a refrigerator. This has been a bad experience. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCE AND RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT PURCHASE ONE.

I feel Whirlpool has a terrific portable dishwasher. I really like the way it is set up and it is a very nice looking unit. They could improve on their customer service towards their customers. My dishwasher got a crack in it at the top of the door where you open it and they would not send anyone out to fix it for me. I paid a pretty penny for this dishwasher and felt they should have fixed it for me. This happened in the 1 year warranty period. Otherwise I am very happy with it. I had previously had another one that lasted me 14 years.

As I write this my Whirlpool is roaring because a bearing is probably going bad. Ive owned this washer for maybe 5 years. They designed this washer poorly. If you leave change in your pocket as everyone does then it will end up in the bottom below the basket and get trapped. And it dislodges, and it will, when the drain pump engages it will blow the coin through and it will break the plastic housing. It needs two beads so that NO COINS can get through if you wash them. Very disappointed customer.

We came home from work and all was well. About an hour later, there was a strong burning smell in the kitchen, like wires burning. Sourced it to our refrigerator. Brought our grandson upstairs to the second floor apartment to get him away from the smell and possible smoke and/or fire. This unit has been repaired several times but not recently. After reading all the same reviews on this problem, we are definitely concerned that a fire may arise. Unfortunately we may wind up buying another, very expensive, refrigerator in the very near future but it will definitely not be a Whirlpool. I wish I could give Whirlpool a ZERO star because that is even too good for this company.

I have hated this Cabrio washer and dryer set since the day they were delivered brand new by Best Buy a couple of years ago. The washer does not clean well, often does not spin dry, and leaves some clothes dry after a full wash cycle!!! I have to wash small loads on the deep water cycle to even have a chance at cleaning the clothes. The clothes are so dreadfully compacted and tangled that it takes great effort to birth them out of the washer, unfurl them, shake them, and put them into the next torture machine- the dryer. It is as if Whirlpool intended to build a machine to twist clothing so tight that it requires a bodybuilder to untangle the clothing. Then the items are so incredibly crumpled that ironing has found its way back into my already busy life. Ironing is a massive challenge to the degree of wrinkles in the clothing. The slanted tops are icing on the cake. Cant even pull the clothes out of the dryer to the top of it because they slide right off. Cool.

We purchased a Whirlpool Duet front load washing machine Model #WFW9550WL in July 2009. In July 2016, the guide on the door hinge broke, making the machine unusable. When performing a national search for the part number (#8183202) to replace the broken hinge, I found that there were none available anywhere in the United States. When talking to Whirlpool, they indicated that during 2015, they only sold 142 of this part, and were currently looking for a new manufacturer for the part. They further indicated that the part would not be available until late September or early October of this year.

In remodeling a house, we got all Whirlpool appliances for the kitchen, right when the lockdown started our freezer went out, 8 visits later from a local repair person, Whirpool will not honor the warranty and get us a new fridge!!! They just want the repair guy to keep replacing all the parts he has already replaced, the repair guy is beyond frustrated with Whirlpool and their crap!!! Never again, totally lost a customer here.

I purchase almost four thousand dollars on WHIRLPOOL appliances this month. From: HOME DEPOT 114 FEDERAL RD DANBURY CT. Received the items a week and a half ago 9/15/18. I was told to exam item no scratches, dents etc. I did that and had them put in place. I didnt get a chance to use washer until the fourth day. At which time realized it didnt work. Went over to store and they gave me Whirlpool repair phone number. Called and was told they only repair Mon - Fri 8am-4pm. I work every day until 5pm and off weekends. Told Whirlpool repair just that. THEN I TOLD by girl I was speaking to (Whirlpool repair) I COULD JUST RETURN THE WASHER TO THE STORE (Home Depot) MYSELF. I WAS FIT TO BE TIED. I told her, What should I do? Carry it on my back? I have never been treated so poorly. I just moved here from Florida, started a new job. I cant take a day off to have the washer that should have worked fixed. I will never purchase anything else from Home Depot if this is how Im treated, and Whirlpool their customer service stinks!!! So now Im stuck with a washer that doesnt work and a company (Whirlpool) wont accommodate their customer. (Whats wrong with this picture???)

In 2011, I bought in Croatia, for the start, 2 washers (model 3LCHW9100WQ) and 1 dryer (model 3LCED9100WQ) and opened the first self-service laundry in Pula, Croatia. Since the beginning, I had problems with the gum (black). After the washing cycles, you could see black lines on the laundry. Whirlpool Croatia denied that the gum can be the cause. After two months, they gave me new gums, but the problem still exists. After 5 months of work, the first malfunction on the washers started. The biggest problem is that it took and still takes them up to a month to repair them. And these problems I have ever since. Also, the error codes never showed the correct malfunction code. In global, if I take that I have these washers and dryer for about a year, they were out of function for more than 3 months. The warranty expired in April 2012. On these reasons, I cannot recommend any product of Whirlpool, and I have to change to another company to buy more washers and dryers.

We bought a fridge in November 2013. Brand new, paid about $2400. After a few months, the fridge wasnt keeping our food cold, was leaking from the ice maker, and wasnt making ice. I called for a repair and about a week later they sent someone out. He assessed it, then came back a week after that to replace the part. Within a month or two later, the same problem. I called for service and was set up with a new company. The repairman called me a couple days later and instead of setting up a time to come in, he says its a common problem, he knows whats wrong, and he will order the part and call me next week to come replace it. A week passed, no word. I tried calling the man back, left several voicemails, and no answer. After another week, I call whirlpool again and tell them I heard nothing from the man and at first they tell me they cant do anything with it since it is an open ticket and I tell them thats not okay. They need to close it, he never even came to the house and assign it to someone else. After they tried multiple times to call the repair company themselves with no answer, they assigned it to a new repair company. Again, it was assessed, a part was ordered and replaced another week later. So now its been well into 9 months of having a worthless fridge. A few weeks after that part was replaced, the problem was back and I called again for repair. I was told if this problem is not solved this time I would be eligible for a replacement fridge. Obviously, it did not work so I called to have a replacement fridge at the end of August. I was told that someone would call me to set it up in 5-7 business days but maybe a little longer since Labor day was right around the corner. I waited, patiently. I called every few days for weeks until mid October and kept getting told it had not been assigned, they are really backed up, it will be just a little bit longer and they will send a message. Mid October, my sister in law called for me and she was told that it was denied because I had not had it serviced within the last 4 weeks. WHAT KIND OF ANSWER IS THAT??? Thats like putting salt on a wound!! I have had spoiled food, constant clean up of leaks, and constant wasted calls to get told that it was denied because it wasnt serviced in the last 30 days while I was waiting for a response from Whirlpool??? So of course I grab the phone and go off. They agree to reopen the case because it was denied for a bad reason. At this point, as I type this, I have been on hold for 55 minutes to speak to yet another supervisor because it has been 2 and a half weeks since they reopened my case and I am told it has not been assigned and the best they can do is send another message.

I called customer service line regarding my Cabrio Automatic Washer (Model No: WTW6600SW2; Serial No: CU2171019) purchased on 11/24/07, to report and ask for assistance with a chronic ongoing service problem. Several calls in the past and service visits (at my cost) did not rectify the problem. Although there are many similar complaints on this machine regarding the loud noise and resulting problems during the spin cycle that involve the tub and rods, the representative said So sorry or Too bad we cannot not help you.My machine now does not run and is less than 4 years old --just like every other report. I get an error message F which the representative alluded to something involving the electronics. Machines purchased in 2004 from Whirlpool have across-the-board similar problems that Whirlpool refuses to take ownership for. This machine is their top of the line model. I dont feel the financial burden of repair or purchase of a new machine should be on the shoulders of the consumer. We bought in good faith from Whirlpool and expect Whirlpool to live up to their responsibilities. Thank you for any help you can provide.Rae **

When washing towels or a blanket or quilt, anything substantial it wont spin the water out of the laundry. This washer is only 5 months old.

My Whirlpool range is a great buy and it cooks well. I have never had a brand new range that snaps, crackles, and pops. It was letting me know that it needed to be broken in and used for a while. I have had it for a few years now and it is just now getting broken in well. I do not even smell the brand new burn smell it use to give off anymore. Awesome!!
