I found this site while looking for a part number for the thermocouple. Lowes had one, but not for the FG model. I decided to call the number on here from Chris to see where I could buy the correct one with left-handed threads. I was told that they would sell me the conversion kit, but I couldnt get just the $8 thermocouple. Then $47.90 later and the conversion kit is on its way. Im not happy about it but at least I got 6 years out of my water heater before the thermocouple failed. The plus side is next time, I can get the $8 part from Lowes and not be without hot water for a week.

Bought a new side-by-side in 7/2020 from Lowes in Keller, Texas. Salesman won me over with the buy American pitch claiming if the need ever arises for parts I would be far better off than with LG which orders their parts from South Korea. I bit, and bought, and now regret. The refrigerator dispenses water randomly and I must keep a glass under the dispenser all the time and empty it when it gets full. Under warranty they say! Well here it is September and after being on hold for an hour each time (6 times as of today) I attempt to get help they tell me that the part W11293378 is not available and will not be made until after this month? BEWARE this brand. This is a poorly ran company and buyers would be better served to look elsewhere.

The Whirlpool hot water heater model ES80H123-45D from Lowe’s is a free replacement for a lifetime warranty unit that went bad after 8 years. First heater would heat to 154 degrees with a setting of 150. Very good. New one heats to 140 degrees with a setting 150 degrees. Digital ESM screen on heater reads 150, but the water is only 140 by my temperature test. I talked to complaint line 5 times in 7 days and was told to do various test, but the temp never went past 140. They replaced both thermostats and temperature still never past 140 with ESM reading 150. They first told me standard temperature was plus or minus 5 degree range. Then, they changed their minds and said it was 10 degrees. They are calibrating their equipment to operate 10 degrees less then their Energy Smart module reads to cover up a performance issue with their water heater. They say this unit will operate between 80 and 150 degrees—nothing’s said about a plus or minus operating range. I will buy a new temperature gauge to see if my old one is correct. It was tested against a digital one a couple of years ago when I had a new dishwasher installed by Lowes. The installers gauge read over 152 and mine read 154 degrees at the sink next to the new dishwasher, so it was close to accurate at that time. Whirlpool is happy with their under-performance.

We have had them for about 3 weeks now and now the display on the microwave just stop working. I just cant believe this. Its going to be a real pain now to remove this and replace it. Has anybody else had this problem and I wonder if its even covered under its warranty.

I bought 40 gallon gas water heater in June 2004 and had to have it worked on twice, costing more than I paid for it. I am replacing it now because pilot light will not stay on, and it is currently out of warranty, and I have no faith that simple repair will hold more than 1 year stint. Customer service was attentive but product itself failed to meet expectations.

I have owned a French-door Whirlpool/Kenmore refrigerator for less than 3 years & all the lights start flashing fast when you open the doors. Anyone that knows anything about seizures know this can set one off. Turns out its a common problem with the LED lights & you have to replace circuit board at over $100.00 for the part, plus you may have to have it installed. Best to stick with a $0.99 bulb you replace every 5 years.

Washer is very mobile. Dryer does not dry. Refrigerator temp is never correct. After reading complaints, I firmly believe you know what the consequences of your products. I would never recommend Whirlpool again. I have used Whirlpool products since 1970 and always had good appliances. Your new products are worthless and you are spending more money on legal protection and lobbying than making a worthy product that actually cleans clothes and cools food. You are charging thousands of dollars for a worthless product and paying thousands of dollars for legal protection with warranties written to excuse your worthless product. Put your money on improving your products.

Ive owned whirlpool appliances for forty years or more, and have been consistently pleased with them. My first washer and dryer lasted eighteen years while raising a family. Brand X lasted eight years with at least four repairs before we dumped the set. We moved and sold one set with the house, but my newest washer and dryer set is eleven years, and works fine. Ive had at least four ranges. We sold two of them with the houses, but theyve all been fine, just bought a snazzy new Whirlpool range as an upgrade. Im on my fourth Whirlpool refrigerator, but again we sold one with the house and we upgraded one perfectly good Whirlpool refrigerator to a bigger side by side with icemaker. Third whirlpool dishwasher. Weve moved a lot, leaving behind appliances and buying new ones. Sure, Whirlpool appliances break down, but they sell zillions of them, and you never hear about the zillions that never break down.

After getting a suite of Whirlpool appliances from Home Depot, I found that they were a little below standard to previous Whirlpool we’ve owned. I found the top of the Electric stove could be easily scratched and the refrigerator was noisy. The stainless steel seemed not as heavy as our other ones. The Whirlpool insignia on the refrigerator came lose and I needed to glue it back on. I’ve always had good luck with Whirlpool and we’ll see how this goes. Just to be safe we bought an extended warranty on the fridge.

We bought the dishwasher on 12/28/11. It broke 4 weeks later. I had the company come out to fix it. 6 months later, it broke again, needed a whole new control board. 3 months later, it broke again, they came out and did some type of repair. 7 months later, it broke again and it needed a whole new control board. They wanted to charge us $250.00 for this, but after some major arguing in regards to how New this was and the warranty now out, they waived the fee. 3 weeks later, the same problem as before! Could not use these filters in replacement model. In spite of that fact & filters in unopened factory package, Whirlpool would not refund the $100 purchase price because I DID NOT RETURN THEM WITHIN 90 DAYS OF PURCHASE, even though I wrote to their US president. We purchased a number of Whirlpool appliances (dishwasher, double door refrigerator, Duet stackable washer and dryer). After 14 months, the ice maker broke. $200 later, it was repaired with an upgraded kit.Last week, the washer error coded and the door locked so we could not get out the wet clothes. Called customer (no) service and they advised that we needed to call a service tech because he has a special tool to unlock the door. I stopped by our local appliance store and the counter person told me how to open the door. Had the tech come out for $70 and it could be the lock mechanism or the control panel. It turns out to be the control panel, which costs $250 + labor and would total to around $500, give or take a little. We are in our 60s, my wife does not take in laundry and the ice dispenser was seldom used because I can sneeze ice faster than this can dispense it so I open the freezer door to get my ice.The tech and the store clerk said that these were common problems with these machines. This was a major expense when purchased. So far, the dish washer has not had any problems, but tonight might be the night. The reason we bought Whirlpool is because of the Maytag connection, now that is in the same toilet.

In 2013 we thought that we bought a 30 cubic foot refrigerator model no. WRF989SDAM from Appliance Direct, Melbourne, FL. Months later we realized that it was only a 27 cubic foot unit. Two months after the warranty expired the unit started failing. Called the dealer and was told that they would have the service department to call us. Never heard from the dealer again. Finally I called an independent service company. After testing the unit the technician told us that the evaporator may be leaking. They offered to replace it for a price of nearly $500 with only a 90 day warranty. Realizing that it would work at least 90 days after the repair regardless if that was the problem or not.I decided that we did not want to spent that much money. Having refrigerator experience in previous years, I decide to add a piercing valve and adding refrigerant. Every few months I have to add refrigerant to keep the unit going. This unit has run nearly all time since the delivery. Corresponding with Whirlpool is somewhat like throwing a bottle in the ocean. I also noticed that Whirlpool has dropped the price of this unit quite a lot, must be to loss of customers. And yes I am 83 years old and handicapped and never had a problem like this to affect me so much.

Mind you, Whirlpool products that we have purchased in the past have been satisfactory, but gas hot water heaters, no! About four years ago we purchased a Whirlpool hot water heater that went out in a little over a year. After spending many calls and time, we found out that the HWH was on soft recall. Whirlpool credited our account, but this was to purchase another Whirlpool, which we did. We paid for installation. About 2 years later, it has gone out. Same problem. Lowes says not their problem. Whirlpool says it will pay for the part only. Plumber will cost 150-200 dollars. All the plumbers I have talked to will not repair them, then they are held responsible when it goes out! As a disabled Vet I cannot afford to throw 400-600 dollars away. And, Whirlpool tells me that if they give me an RA number to replace the HWH, it will have to be a Whirlpool from Lowes. Great! Whirlpool quarterly report looks very good. Mine doesnt look as good. What can be done about a poor working product? Or is this too big to fail? Let me know.

I purchase a suite of Whirlpool Kitchen Appliances April 2017. My range is the slide in model. The knobs are on the front of the stove top. I 4 months in I saw that the paint behind the plastic panel where the knobs are was chipping. Also, the gasket in the oven had some loose threads so I finally decided to call the warranty. Whirlpool paid for the gasket to be replaced but Customer service said the chipping was cosmetic and that only covered for 30 days. I am so disappointed in this range and Whirlpool. My stove looks very used after 10 months. I followed the instructions on what to clean it with and how to clean so I know its not me. The paint chipping is crazy! How as consumers do we deal with this? This Range was a cost over $2000! and they give me touch-up paint!I purchased Whirlpool because I researched prior to purchasing my appliances. I thought I was buying Quality, this is not quality! At Christmas I had a pot of potatoes boil over and the element circle on the glass top cam off with cleaning. This too is not covered because its cosmetic. Ironically, my old glass top Whirlpool range did the same thing. That why I got a new one! I guess it still works. Who cares how it looks... RIGHT? Well, I WAS a good Whirlpool customer. Not anymore! Do not purchase Whirlpool glass top ranges unless you want it to look worn out after less than one year. We called Lowes to purchase the parts, but they do not sell the parts. There was a nine year warranty. Our last water heater lasted about 11 years. Its such a shame that this one is giving us problems just after 3 years. Im really considering just buying another one. I dont want to continue struggling with this one. We purchased our Whirlpool refrigerator Model # WRT138TFYW on March 2012. We first started noticing that the eggs and the milk started to get icy. We lowered the setting from the normal setting to the lower setting. This seemed to work for about 5 months then things started to get icy again and this time it started making a loud noise. Then in August, we called Whirlpool, told them what it was doing as it was still under warranty. They sent out A&E, the biggest crooks I have ever dealt with as well as rude people. The service guy said it was probably the Frost board. He ordered the part and put it in. Afterwards, we asked him why it was still making such a ruckus. He told us this was normal. Now we arent a professional and dont know about Appliances so we took the technician for his word. Then this past December, the refrigerator wasnt cooling as good. The next day we noticed that things in the freezer wasnt freezing either. We called Whirlpool, told them what was going on and that they needed to get someone to fix it. This was when we found out that the refrigerator only has a one year warranty. I got them to agree to pay for parts and labor after getting down to the fact that this problem went back to the very first time while it was still under warranty. They sent out A&E Factory Service, again the biggest crooks there is. They checked the refrigerator and told us that the compressor and evaporator was bad. They ordered the parts and that was the last we saw of them. We got Whirlpool to send someone else. Now up to this point, I have to give them credit because they have been really nice. Then when the other technician from Americus Appliance (Very good guy, would recommend to everyone) asked why both parts were ordered, we told him that the technician from A&E said it needed them. He then installed the Compressor and told us that there was nothing wrong with the Evaporator that he could tell. He then filled it with Refrigerant and the freezer was getting very cold. Then about an hour I went to check to see if the refrigerator part was getting cold and it wasnt. I checked the freezer at this time and noticed that the freezer was getting warmer. We then called the service guy and he checked the refrigerator. This was when he told us that there was a leak in the wall of the unit and it couldnt be fixed. We called Whirlpool and told them what the technician said and asked them what they were going to do. They then said they would send everything to the exchange team and go from there. Now we are waiting to see if they will replace the refrigerator. Personally after having to replace a Brand New Washer a year and 2 months after the purchase and possibly now a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old. Buyer Beware. Check out the warranty on a GE. They have a better warranty on their refrigerators than Whirlpool does.

I am excited that I found this site, putting it in Favorites! Using the advice from ConsumerReports, we purchased a Whirlpool Gold French door refrigerator model GI 6SDRXXY02. We were looking forward to the energy efficiency reported. I blamed the kids and my husband when the water started appearing on the floor by the refrigerator. After a while, I started investigating and I saw the sheets of ice that had formed in the bottom of the freezer. Several times, I removed the ice, only for it to form and start leaking on the floor weeks later. We discovered the drain was frozen and that during the defrost mode, water would freeze in the bottom, and once the ice was too high, the water would flow over the ice onto the floor. My husband has unloaded the freezer and defrosted the drain with a hair dryer several times. So sick of this!! We never received a recall notice and of course, the warranty is out. I wish we hadnt paid so much for this refrigerator. It would have been out by the curb months ago. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and getting new cabinets. I will have to dispose of this expensive refrigerator. UGH, money down the drain!! We wont buy a Whirlpool!!!

Purchased this set in January of this year 2016. The loudness of this machine struck me first along with the constant banging of the pipes in the basement when filling with warm water. The agitator is very loud. Thought I was trading up from a 10 year old Whirlpool front loader set. There is hardly any water in the washer when running a full load. I take clothes out that are not only a twisted tight mess but in some spots are not even wet!!! The dark clothes inevitably need to be rewashed because there is white residue on them!!! I have used the pods and liquid and it doesnt seem to matter, happens with both. Customer service has no answers and say theyve never heard this before. How can this washer wash clothes when there is no water and little if any movement of clothes??? And how is it that we are all saying the same exact things and Whirlpool is not being held accountable??? I have had a Whirlpool hot water tank now for about 7 years and all I have had out of it is trouble. It wasnt even a year old and I was putting a thermocouple in it a few months later I put another one in it. All I do is put thermocouples in it. I have saved the old ones. This heater is a piece of junk and I am the one whos paying the price for it. I just put a thermocouple in it on January 9, 2012 and I am putting another one in it on January 15, 2012. I have replaced all parts and it still does it. They are going to buy me a new one someday. I’m tired of this. This should not be happening. They are ripping people off. If the pilot light does not light, you have to replace the thermocouple in it.

We purchased a Whirlpool Dishwasher from the Home Depot, it was installed 3-28-2015, less than 30 days ago. On 4-21-2015 the dishwasher stopped working. I called Home Depot expecting a replacement; but we were told you have 48 hours; you need to contact Whirlpool, due to the CRAP warranty. I called Whirlpool, we were told that a TECH would need to come out and address. They came today, ** , told us that the Motor is bad. (NOTE I havent made a payment on this dishwasher). So we called Whirlpool, expecting they would replace. I spoke to ** who advised me they would not replace, only repair. I explained this is unacceptable for a new product. I demanded to speak to her Manager; Spoke to ** who said the same. I asked to speak to her manager, his name is ** , but HE DOES NOT DEAL WITH THE CONSUMERS, this is beneath his job class I was told. So NOW I have no choice but to have this Dishwasher repaired; it will take over 2 weeks to get the part. I just dont understand how this is good Customer service. It is the worst I have ever experienced.

Bought a whirlpool refrigerator in 2015, have had both handles replaced 3 times, the bottom pieces of the handles are made of plastic and they crack. We had to take them to a metal fabricator and have them replaced with metal to keep them from breaking. Lowes and whirlpool know of this problem and they do nothing about it. Will not buy another whirlpool product. Very dissatisfied.

I purchased a Cabrio Top Load Washer and Front Load Dryer four and a 1/2 years ago and have had nothing but trouble with them! The dryer needs to be run 2 cycles to get the clothes dry. In that time I have had a repairman come to the house 3 different times to look at the dryer, which cost me over $200. They have had to replace the belt and inner pulley and then the sensor harness. Recently when they came they tried replacing the coils. It continues to give me trouble drying the clothes and I am very dissatisfied with it. A few weeks ago the washer broke. I have had repairmen come to the house 4 different times. Multiple times there has been a problem with the spin and drain cycle. All of the water would not empty out. I would have to run the cycle again. They eventually replaced the actuator. I continued to have difficulties with the washer. Then the machine got very loud when it would spin out sounding like a rocket was going to take off! The repairman came once again said it was the motor. When they returned with the parts and took the machine apart, the parts inside the machine had all corroded! The water had been leaking inside the machine, destroying it, and a black sticky buildup had formed! The machine was deemed unrepairable! I paid over $700 for each machine and am very upset about this. When I spoke to customer service they would not stand by their product because I didnt have the warranty anymore. After numerous phone calls I filed a complaint and gave a bad review of the support service and product that I received.Weeks later they called me and offered to have me purchase another machine at half price! I had already bought another brand washing machine and I asked them to apply the amount toward what I had spent on the new one. They would not and insisted the only thing they could do would be to have me buy their washer at half price. I told them I lost faith in their product and didnt want another one. So, I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer, or Whirlpool products since they will not stand by them! I have pictures to prove what happened to the washer!

Electrolux dishwasher model EI24ID50QS - My husband picked this dishwasher
Electrolux dishwasher model EI24ID50QS - My husband picked this dishwasher after reading all the good reviews. However, after having issues with it, I tried to post my review and it would not post. I think Electrolux is somehow only posting good reviews and leaving out the bad. I had a technician come out to see why it took 6 hours to go through the cycle along with not cleaning the dishes well. He said I needed to run hot water before starting the cycle and that I needed to prewash my dishes before loading. In other words, its not a dishwasher but a sanitizer. Keep in mind that I rinse my dishes before loading, so I dont have food particles stuck dry on my dishes. So, I used his method of running hot water before cycle is started. It works ok when you dont use your kitchen faucet during the dishwashing cycle. However, the minute you use your faucet, the dishwasher runs for 6 hours! This is the worst dishwasher ever! Not to mention, the control panel is so sensitive that if you accidentally touch a cycle to start, you cant get it to cancel. It is ridiculous. Dont buy! It will be your biggest mistake.

I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio H2Low from Sears 6 years ago. After numerous problems with clothes not getting clean (soap spots, stain transfers, etc) I learned the only setting I could use that actually cleaned was bulky with an extra rinse (so much for the energy efficiency). My first major repair was in the first year. Weve since had 3 more and the darn thing died again this morning. First the motherboard died and needed replacement, the drain pump failed, the door lock failed, and twice now it stopped spinning. At first I thought maybe I was just unlucky and bought a defective machine but repair sites are filled with reports of similar problems with these machines. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

Whirlpool Duet 3.9 cu ft High-Efficiency WFW9451XW00 - Hear my first experience with Whirlpool. I purchased a washer machine 30 April 2014. Guess what - machine stop working suddenly on July 30th, just about three months later. I had a lot of guest from overseas. While they visit me, I did not have my washer machine. How embarrassing. It was big mistake to buy Whirlpool. It is all made plastic inside and they uses cheap Chinese material. Anyway, technician came house to check what the problem was... all control system was burned. He ordered almost 10 parts from Whirlpool on 04 August. Whirlpool scheduled delivery for 20 of August. I called them for them to send the parts faster so my guests could wash their clothes. They send them little faster for August 16. After a day, technician was in the house again. I waited about 3 hours for him to fix my machine. He was really nice guy. He put install all new parts. Just in front of me, new parts broke after 5 minute. Whirlpool still did not contact me about their decision. Today is August 26th... I called them 5 time already - Nobody give me useful info. NO Whirlpool, guys - bad service.

Rust around the inside of the top of the washer. They do not use stainless for this part of the washer. It is some sort of cheap tin material that will rust in less than the first year. They have gone cheap on building but still think their products are worth the expensive price they ask. Do yourself a favor, pop the lid and look under what they do best to hide and also they removed the pop down door on the dryers so you cannot vacuum out the excess lint build up. Tragic lint gets hot and starts to burn in the gas models and stink. They should be ashamed of themselves. They have bought up most of their competition and now they have gone cheap on product production but not on price.

What a mistake. The eco-friendly Whirlpool washer designed to save energy doesnt clean close, my towels are the worse. Coming out of a shower and using a freshly washed towel to dry off and it smelling like it had never been washed tears it for me. Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7340XW washer is a piece of junk! I have had issues since the day I bought it and havent even had some of the failed parts that other people are talking about. It does not save water. I went from 5000 gal to 13000 gal in one month! It doesnt wash clothes. Everything comes out with the same spots they went in with and then some. Light colors come out with what looks like grease spots and whites come out with black spots. I have had it five months and have used six of the monthly cleaning tabs. Clothes get tangled and torn because of the speed of the spin cycle even on delicate. This unit needs to be recalled and redesigned or customers should be offered a different washer of their choice within the price range of this unit.

Purchased this dishwasher in 2015. It has been horrible. The unit has never cleaned sufficiently on any cycle. I run the unit in the evening for the full cycle with heat. It takes almost 4 hours. The dishes are still soaking wet the next morning. We would be considered light use as a family of two. I hand wash any larger pans or cookware as the racks do not support anything of midrange weight or above. With the poor cleaning, I purchased a additional silverware rack and placed it more centrally to attempt better cleaning. It remains mediocre at best. The most recent irritation is the door latch has started pulling free from the unit and remains attached to the door! I have to take pliers and remove it from the door and reaffix it into the housing of the unit. Will never recommend this nor will I ever purchase anything from this company in the future. Sad to see the quality falter to the point of absolute failure.

I bought a 40-gallon hot water heater in November 2007. First problem I had with it was in 2009 when the pilot wouldnt stay lit. They sent me a requisition number to take to Lowe’s to pick up the part (igniter) and gave me a service number to give to the plumber to fix it. Plumber actually told me these heaters were junk and this wasnt the last problem Id have. Last Sunday (January 2012)--here we go again. Pilot went out and wont stay lit. Whirlpool is telling me its because I have a draft. Yeppers, that must be it because after they had me (arthritic 53-year old) and my disabled husband performing circus acts trying to relight it, then it was the filter on the bottom, then it was a draft. Last time I tried to light, which really someone as blind and disabled as me shouldnt be doing anyway, I about blew up. I hate getting ** by big corps. I filed a complaint with state Attorney General. If that doesnt work, hell, I think Ill take both Whirlpool and Lowe’s to small claims court. What do I have to lose? $35? Their fancy-schmancy lawyers will probably charge them a couple grand for their efforts. Im sick and tired of getting the short end of the stick. Since when is a hot water tank supposed to last a mere 4 years? Oh, by the way, Whirlpool says it’s all on me now--well see about that. First of all, both of these chumps just lost a customer and I Facebooked by friends about this pleasant experience plus included a link to this page. Consequences are all mine, I guess. Its pretty swell bathing in a sink full of water that you heated on the stove. I dont have any money because Im too busy giving it all to big insurance and big pharma right now. What a country!

What we expected and what we got were two different things. The washer was horrible from the beginning. It is impossible to wash a load of clothes without the UL unbalanced load indicator. It is impossible to balance a load. I have taken wet clothes out and put them back in with no luck. It takes hours for a load to finally wash. After a year and a half our Whirlpool model WRT5L1SMYFOO failed to freeze or keep items cool. We bought a new Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer and dryer in July of 2014. We were continually finding wet areas in our clothes after they were supposed to be dry. We finally called Lowes where we purchased the set. We had bought Whirlpool appliances about 10 years ago and were pleased with the product as we never had any problems. Lowes sent a service technician on September 12th who checked out the dryer and told us there was nothing wrong with the dryer, but the vent was unsatisfactory (he was from A&E Appliance Repair). He said there was nothing he could do and charged us around $148 for the 14 minutes he was here. We checked out the vent and found it to be working satisfactorily, but we continued finding wet areas on the clothes that were supposed to be dry. We continued to call Lowes and finally spoke to Amy at their Headquarters Customer Care Dept. with no positive results. We then called Whirlpool, and they sent someone who replaced the steam dryer valve which he said was leaking in November (it took another month to get this part). It is now January of 2015, and we are still experiencing wet spots on our clothes even worse than before!

My 2 year Jennaire (made by Whirlpool) broke down on 12/14/11. Repairman came out on 12/19. He said that the compressor was not working and ordered another and he came out again on 12/22. He said that it could not be fixed (internal leak or something). An aside to this story was that a tank of compressed oil blew and damaged my hallway and kitchen walls and floors and 2 rugs. That was being handled by the repairmans insurance company. We called Whirlpool and they said that they we could pick out a new refrigerator priced at no more than $2399 even though we paid $2799 for the Jennaire and would have to pay the difference for a model costing more. We went with a Maytag (Whirlpool product) that listed for $2899 but was available at 2 local stores for $2050 and $2100 but I had to give Whirlpool anther $500 because they use the MRP.They finally delivered it on 1/5/12 but would not leave it because no one disconnected the water line to the appliance and they would not touch it. It took me 20 seconds to do it and if they would have told me so it would have been done on the 5th. Rescheduled delivery for 1/8/12 and the unit was delivered damaged (large dent in front) and they would not temporarily leave it until a replacement came.I called Whirlpool again and asked them to just call a local Home Depot or anyone in my area (all had the unit in stock) to deliver one but they told me that it must come from the warehouse in Michigan (I live in PA) and that it would be yet another 5 to 10 business days to receive it. So, I am paying $700 more for a unit that I could have bought and had delivered before Christmas not to mention the inconvenience of no unit for a month. Not to mention the damage to my home, $200+ dollars in thrown away food, time to shop for new unit, time for 2 repairman appointments and time for the 2 deliveries thus far and countless phone calls to Whirlpool to get the new unit.Today is 1/10/12, so I guess Ill have by month end if there are no other problems, you would think that they would try to expedite this just because its been so long or give us a substantial credit for all the trouble. Never again Whirlpool.

I Purchased a Whirlpool ceramic top self-cleaning oven & side-by-side refrigerator from Sears. I just want to share my experience. I do not have the exact year I purchased them. Too bad I was not aware of this site but after a year with the refrigerator I knew I would not buy another side-by-side and not a Whirlpool. The refrigerator motor runs too loud, the ice maker was forever stopping even during the summer. If you cleared the ice jams it would not reset for hours. The ice maker was replaced under warranty but it still jams; however now when you clear the ice from the trays it produces ice quickly. The temperature in the oven seems to be off now. I purchased a oven thermometer and to verify the temp and they are never the same. But my major concern now is the self cleaning feature. The front door is Yellow and unsightly from the self cleaning cycle. As I sit here typing, I hope the oven does not start a fire it is very hot. This is the last time I intend to use the self cleaning cycle again because I feel it should not be this hot. The ceramic top is hot enough to burn if you touch it. Strangely I checked the oven storage drawer and metal pans in them were okay. Cabinets beside the oven were just a little warm. But This customer will not purchase Whirlpool again.

We bought a 20.5 cubic ft Whirlpool refrigerator. 2 months later it started cutting off, and on in a constant repeated cycle then run normal for a while. We had 2 Whirlpool repair appointments. The first guy said he couldnt come fix it unless it was acting up while he was here which was a intermittent issue. Refrigerators dont perform on cue. The 2nd guy came out after the first guy messed around long enough for the warranty to expire. We went ahead, and replaced the startup relay (most common problem). He replaced the control board, and wire harness. He said if that didnt fix it he didnt know what else to do. 2 hours after he left the fridge was right back to doing the same thing. He failed to report back to Whirlpool that the fridge couldnt be repaired. We contacted customer service, and their resolution was to get another repairman to come out, and replace the control board which had already been replaced. In the end they bailed on us, and left us stuck with a broke refrigerator, and we had to buy a new one ourselves. I might add it was not a Whirlpool. They spent $471 trying to fix a broken fridge, and wanted to send another repairman (another $100) to fix a $629 refrigerator how does that make any sense. It was a very disappointing experience, and Whirlpool should be ashamed.

We bought this set from a hometown store, had them 6 months and all belts on dryer had to have the belt on the dryer replaced, then 2 months later the washing machine went out, so the store did replace both and weve had them about 3 month. The dryer works great so far, the washing machine on the other hand not good at all! The tray where the detergent goes continues to have mold/mildew in it, the clothes come out of wash cycle smelling soured. We have this set inside and we keep our temp set on 67 in our home. There is no excuse for all the problems, not to mention that noise it makes when it washes!! I am completely disgusted!!

Ive bought two (2) whirlpool dishwashers in approximately two years. Both dishwashers stopped draining shortly after one year. I checked the filter, removed parts at bottom of appliance and checked the drain hose and my home drain to make sure that none were clogged. After testing the draining system a burning motor smell started to occur. At that point I disconnected and threw away the appliance. I dont know for sure but I think this is a recurring and known defect.

This is the worst washer/dryer I have ever had. It is so damn loud that the neighbors can hear it. Water level is too low. Today the dial is making a buzzing sound. I have to re-rinse the clothes. It does not spin enough, have to re-spin again. What kind of energy saver is this, NONE. They said thats the way the machine is, loud, thats bull. No machine should be like that. I threw money away when I bought that piece of (you know what). Dont buy this machine. Consumer Affairs, you should pursue this product with Whirlpool and have them do something about it. They do absolutely NOTHING.

I purchased a Whirlpool (Cabrio) Washer on March 1 2018. I previously had a Roper top loader with an agitator that was 22 years old. I used that washer for that many years and washed clothes 6 out of the 7 days of the week. Probably at least 20 loads a week. I never had a problem with it getting my clothes wet & clean. It never left them dirtier after washing them than they were before washing them. I am so disappointed in this washer!!! I can see it will not do any good to complain to Whirlpool because apparently they dont care about their customers. They think theyre products are perfect when they are far from it. I plainly told the associate I wash clothes every day. Really dirt clothes. (My son is a mechanic). I need a good washer. I can wash them by hand better than this washer does. I am very thankful I have not paid the full price for this washer yet. I will be calling them to come pick it up when my next payment is due. I will be going to one of the local consignment or thrift stores and purchasing myself an old timey top loader washer with an agitator for $100 or less. Whirlpool I had high hopes with this product and would have been buying a dryer to match soon but I believe I will stick to my Roper products or anything other than Whirlpool.

I recently just purchased a new home with an upgrade provided by the builder (which I paid), kitchen appliances to Whirlpool Gold package. 2 weeks from the time the house closed escrow, I used my Whirlpool Gold Accu Bake wall oven self-clean feature. I set it for 2 1/2 hours, which is not even a full cycle of 4 hours. I noticed after 2 hours that the oven shut down. The oven exhaust was hot and the panel control as well, (almost burned my hand). No power and door locked. After a week of waiting to cool down hoping it will unlock and turn back on, it didnt. I called the builder and Whirlpool. Of course, the builder said to call Whirlpool. They registered my oven and set an appointment. The contractor (A&E) came to take a look at my oven and assumed that it was just thermal fuse. He was explaining that the oven does heat up and shut down. Probably after this repair, this will happen again. He replaced the thermal fuse and tried to turn on the oven. The house electric breaker is working, but the oven still did not turn on. So this time, he checked the control board and said that it is dead and will have to order. I am tired of having an oven for 2 weeks only and already have this issue. I did find out as well online that Whirlpool do have several complaints regarding their self-cleaning oven. I want to either just replace the whole oven or give me cash so I can replace the Whirlpool and buy another brand. I dont see the point of having a self-cleaning oven if this will heat up and shut down the unit or get a suggestion not to use the self-cleaning feature anymore so it wont break. I think this is a design issue and Whirlpool is not taking the responsibility to fix the design to start.

Purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio supposedly a top of the line washing machine? Not even three years old, used 3 times a week for normal to small loads, for a family of three. Stopped spinning water out, so clothes are soaking wet at the end of the cycle. Repairman said I need a new transmission and inner spin basket is completely worn. New parts will cost me around $500!!!! Repairman said this should not be this worn down in 2 1/2 years. I purchased this machine to replace a Roper brand machine I purchased used for $200 and had for over 10 years without issue! I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again. They do not stand behind their product! I should not have had any issues with this machine for at least 10 years!

We bought our stainless and black Whirlpool stove last month. We love that its black topped, and doesnt show dirt. We love how the oven door seals, and the fast heat. What we do NOT love, is how easily the knobs turn. You barely brush against them, and gas leaking into the kitchen. I called for service. Our guy said yes, they turn easier than most of the stoves he has worked on. He called tech support from my kitchen, and I overheard the guy at the other end. His response was dismissive. I have had gas ovens for 20 years. They have without exception, had a spring type feeling to the knob. This stove has none. I am writing this so that if others are experiencing the same thing, they will see it is not their imagination. Something is wrong with the design of the knobs or some part is missing.

French Door model WRF989SEAE01 - Fridge runs very loud after 3 weeks. Ice build up inside of fridge - back left. After numerous repairs, dealer replaced unit with new. Three weeks, loud noise again. After 7 months, the ice maker has quit, the freezer is thawing items, the fridge part is not cold enough (all settings have been boosted). Now Im concerned it is going to completely fail or burn our new house down. All new Whirlpool appliances in new home and this thing is proving to be extremely unreliable. Dealer is now out of loop (gave up) and told us to deal directly with Whirlpool. After 2 units and same issues, it has to be a design flaw. Can anyone start to move on a class action lawsuit or do I wait until it blows up or burns down the house? We are of retirement age, no kids, and our appliances have had NO ABUSE. Another acquaintance has same fridge about 2 years old and it has completely quit.

We purchased a new refrigerator and dishwasher about three and a half years
We purchased a new refrigerator and dishwasher about three and a half years ago. There are only two of us living in the house and we both work so it is not like we use our dishwasher every day. Dishwasher is Whirlpool Whisper Quiet III Gold model. About three months ago, the panel lights quit working but the dishwasher would still run. Now the blasted thing will not even turn on. Our ice maker freezes up and we are always having to ice pick out the ice and clean out the ice maker. Basically, we never use it because we are tired of the process of cleaning it just to have ice. Now after reading reviews, I do not want to fork out the money to have a repair person come in and fix the dishwasher which most likely will break down somewhere else. Plus the dishwasher tray has a lot of broken tips and are rusty and I have actually had to file a few to keep from getting stabbed by the sharp point. The previous dishwasher worked great and had been in the house for over 15 years. I wish I could remember what brand it was. I only replaced it because I wanted one to match the refrigerator. I am appalled at the quality of the Whirlpool products. I have to get another dishwasher and I have other things that I need to spend my money on rather than a dishwasher. I wont buy another Whirlpool product as of September 13, 2013.

July 2017 I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator Model # WRF757SDEM00 S/NK51709722. The refrigerator portion went out, the repairman said it was the fan therefore I spent 351.00 dollars for house call and fan. When that did not work the repairman spoke to whirlpool and they said the panel of small computer may go out with it 212.00 plus tax. Did not allow that and tried another repairman who said the value that switches from freezer to refrigerator was out and if I could find someone to fix it would cost between 600 and 800. I went out and bought a Samsung because on the front said 10 year warranty. At least anything is better than 1 year whirlpool offers. There is NOTHING in the name.

I have owned a Whirlpool Gold refrigerator since 2011. It has required two repair calls due to a water leak. The company did repair it free of charge on the second visit even though it was out of warranty. It is now leaking again which has caused damage to my wood floor and basement ceiling tiles. I am told that I have pay for the repairs this time even though it is the same problem. I was offered a modest discount to purchase a new refrigerator. I will never buy another Whirlpool product. This refrigerator should be recalled. I recommend GE products. They stand behind their products and they last a lot longer. Shame on Whirlpool! So many complaints with very little response .

This new oven came with my house. I like the oven but hate the aqua clean feature. It is impossible to get the grease off. I cant reach the back sides or the back. I scrub with all my might on parts I can reach but the baked on grease is back with the next use. The aqua clean feature is only good for light spills on the bottom. I like a clean oven. I am now looking to replace a practically new oven which will run me about $2000.00 which I am not happy about. I highly recommend the high heat cleaning feature ovens. I also developed a pitting area on the bottom the size of a quarter & I dont know how that occurred. Buyer beware of aqua cleaning features.

I purchased a Whirlpool gas water heater for one of my properties that developed an issue outside of the warranty period. My initial CS complaint is with Whirlpools IVR system, which was far less than a desirable experience. After tricking the system, a CS agent answered promptly but was not able to address my concerns. I asked to speak to a supervisor and received a return call from Chris within minutes. I found Chris to be patient and understanding of my issues. Chris promptly assisted me with my issues and offered an equitable resolution. Chris is whats right with American companies and domestic customer support.

It was on sale and the price was good for comparable refrigerators. The biggest problem is that instead of a simple dial to control temperature, you have to be a computer genius to figure out how to turn it to a different temp. even by the instructions. And the ice maker throws ice all over the floor even if you hold the glass up against the top. When I first got it, it made a very loud noise when it run, but that changed with time to a bearable volume. Everything seems to work well other than those few little things.

I purchased a top load Whirlpool washer from Lowes 2-8-12. It got so it wouldnt rinse. When it came to that cycle, it just skipped it and went directly to spin. I dont know how long it was doing this before I caught it. A repairman came out said I would need the equivalent of a motherboard that would cost $330.00. Needless to say, couldnt afford that amount for repair. So I purchased a very nice used Amana for $100.00. I always thought Whirlpool was a top of the line product. This has changed my mind. If it wont last any longer than 5 years I dont want it. There are just the two of us and we are retired so the machine was not overused. I am so disappointed and angry about this.
