I bought front-loader WFW8540FW1 in November 2017 from Lowes. I keep having problems with the washer not turning on. I am waiting for the repairman to come. Had repair done in March, May, and now June. I have gotten new electronics for replacement from Whirlpool each time. Obviously something is defective. Is there a lemon law for washers? Hope so. Never buy Whirlpool Washer again!

Its been exactly a year since I first purchased my Whirlpool Refrigerator and its already giving me problems. The ice maker wasnt producing any ice so we replaced the water filter as suggested by the manufacturer. Now the refrigerator is not cool enough. This morning I was giving my kids cereal and poured milk into one of their bowls. After they tasted it the milk was spoiled. Yes spoiled. I was so mad I called Whirlpool and the fastest they can send a repair man out to my home is next week. Really? I said what about my food and my kids? They said its not their problem! I tell you they are so nice and friendly. They really care about their customers! Yea Right!!

I have had my stove for 3 years and it works fine. However since I have become a grandparent, I have been extremely worried about the chance of being burnt. the problem is once you turn off the burner, it doesnt look any different than it does when not in use. It stays hot for a very long time however. Hot enough to burn or melt anything. There is no blocking a child from reaching up and touching it. I have placed a loaf of bread near it only to have it melt down the side. The burner didnt look hot at all. This was at least 15 min. after turning off the burner. Im not trying to cause issues but I believe this is a real danger, not only at the risk of someone getting a burn but also to the point of an entire family losing their home or even their lives. A simple flammable item being knocked over could start a fire. I ask that someone look into these risk.

The door can be slightly open on the model GSC25C4EYY02, and the alarm will not register. Ive come home on too many occasions to find the food no longer at a desirable temperature. Im very bummed about this refrigerator choice. The refrigerator door open alarm is useless.

Whirlpool Gold GC3SHAXVBOO - Two issues in two years. We purchased this refrigerator online through Whirlpool in April 2010. Almost a year later, a circuit board went. This was repaired under warranty. Our refrigerator was making loud cycling noises and we were told this was normal. Now a year later, again we have an issue. This time its the compressor. We called customer service and were told there is nothing they can do. The cost to fix approximately is $700. This is very upsetting to buy a $2000 refrigerator and have two major issues within two years and then not have the company stand by their product. I would wonder how many other people have this model and have these issues as it seems like a lot. Whirlpool customer service is terrible, non-caring and offered no assistance.

Whirlpool Microwave WMH1164XWS-1 - Well, Im sure surprised that my almost five year old Whirlpool microwave failed to heat this evening. One minute it worked, next it didnt. Watched countless repair videos, but it seems more aggravation taking the unit out and trying to diagnose the issue than its worth. Probably the same with enlisting the services of a repair tech. Ill probably think twice about purchasing another Whirlpool microwave. I purchased a Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator a few months ago and now Im concerned Ill have the same issues. All my appliances were Whirlpool and purchased ten years ago and replaced with newer models, even though I never had any repair issues. Guess they dont make them like they used to!

We purchased an over-the-range microwave in 2005 Model No. MH1141XMQ-1 Serial No. TRS1112979. It has worked fine however, within a year, the grill cracked. It was not covered so we paid for a new one. A few months ago, I noticed a crack near the top of the door by the handle and then a couple of weeks ago, a huge chunk broke off the bottom of the door.

We bought this dishwasher only 18 months ago and its not worth the money we paid. We have had cheaper models that cleaned way better and didnt need as much maintenance as this one. We already had to spend another $410.00 in having the motor replaced in it!! When calling Whirlpool it only has a 1-year warranty and to have a technician come out just to look at it is $150.00. It is so hard to see in the part where you put the jet dry it doesnt tell you when its full or empty and no matter what it always leaves the dishes wet after. Our other dishwasher that was a way cheaper model always cleaned our dishes and never left any food on the dishes unlike this model and we even rinse the dishes beforehand! Look for another dishwasher to save yourself money in the long run!

Steam cleaning DOES NOT work! I have complained to Home Depot and Whirlpool since my purchase 9/2018. They sent 2 different repair men and both times I was told there was nothing they can do. I got one phone call from Whirlpool (Maytag) and they sent me a cleaner (wish is just for the stovetop). No other return emails or calls have been acknowledged. My stove looks like it hasnt been cleaned EVER! I was also told to use elbow grease. I am so disgusted and at my wits end. Any suggestions, besides court?

After reading all of these reviews, Im not surprised at the negative comments. My husband and I owned a Whirlpool washer and dryer for 25 years prior to them both dying the same summer four years ago. I absolutely would not purchase anything but another set of Whirlpool washer and dryer because of the longevity of our previous set.We bought the Cabrio set 4 years ago this summer. After two years, we discovered it had a slow leak at the back hot water valve and underneath it somewhere when it spun and it had slowly leaked under the wall into our living room which eventually caused our hardwood floors to buckle. We had to replace the flooring in that section at a cost I will not even say and had a repairman come out and fix the lid lock, leak where for some reason there wasnt a washer in the valve area, underneath and the problem with the spin cycle. This was at a cost of around $200.00. Of course our one year warranty had run out. The next year it did the SAME THING AGAIN!!! Although we caught it quicker, we STILL had to replace a small section of hardwood flooring and have the machine repaired yet again at the tune of approximately $200.00. Now, as I type, our machine has yet again flooded our laundry room one year later and I will have to call a repairman in the morning yet again! Its becoming an annual and costly thing!!!I came across this site while looking to see if by chance this machine had been recalled and we would be able to get another one at no cost since we have already paid a fortune for the errors it has caused. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau and writing YET ANOTHER letter to the Whirlpool company with the hopes that they will recall this machine!! If enough people protest and report this shoddy workmanship, maybe they will!!!

Very unhappy with this fridge. The ice maker is finicky and the side shelves keep breaking. The cake drawer cover broke almost immediately. We replaced it and it broke again so we just took it off.

We bought our washer (Whirlpool Cabrio) from a rent to own company about 2 years ago, and finally got it paid off. About a week ago, the lid started sticking when it was done washing. I went to open it last night to start some laundry, and it BROKE. Now theres a piece stuck in the bottom part of the lock, and the washer wont start. Anyone else have this issue?

Microwave Model # MH1150XMB# - I have had this microwave for 6 and 1/2 years. It came with the condo I purchased. Shortly after I moved in, I noticed hairline crack in the frame near the handle. I have replaced this door once and now the second door has done the same exact thing - formed these hairline cracks in the door frame. This is a defective product and needs to be taken care of by Whirlpool. But you keep denying the problem. No one can afford to replace a door every year. The microwave still works, but the door has fallen apart. The remainder of the microwave works fine.

In May of 2010, my husband and I purchased a Cabrio washing machine. By the fall of 2010, I had put in a call to Whirlpool due to the washing machine chewing holes into clothing and not cleaning the clothes. Some of the clothes would come out of the washing machine with dry spots on them. Whirlpool sent out two different servicemen and even though one of them replaced the agitator we have still had problems with it. One of the servicemen even tried to tell me it wasnt the machine but it was my detergent (I use HE Purex dye free). I was told by a service rep at Whirlpool that there was nothing more they could do and I would just have to deal with it. I understand that products go faulty but with good customer service these issues could be resolved. Whirlpool obviously has little regard for their customers. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. Hopefully they can get results.

Owned it for approximately 15 years and has never had any problems with it all. I would highly recommend this product because it is affordable and easy to care for. It even comes with a filter for water. Great refrigerator.

The refrigerator fits perfect in my space, keeps frozen (ice cream is creamy not a frozen block ) and cooled foods well. I love the glass shelves. I purchased 2 more bins for the refrigerator door, now I can get all my spices and condiments on the door as well as lots of other things. The freezer has racks instead of glass shelves. The top shelf is adjustable, that is nice in order to use more space. I love the ice and water on the outside of the door.

My dishwasher is more than 10 years old. It functions but the interior baskets have broken and because my counter overhangs a couple of inches from the dishwasher the steam from the dishwasher has damaged the underside of the counter. It cleans ok but I would not buy this kind of dishwasher again.

When my dryer died my wife and I decided to get both a new washer & dryer. I kick myself for two reasons. My 15-year-old washer which worked fine I replaced, and I didnt check reviews before buying. What a mistake. The eco-friendly Whirlpool washer designed to save energy doesnt clean close, my towels are the worse. Coming out of a shower and using a freshly washed towel to dry off and it smelling like it had never been washed tears it for me. Im hoping like many others they will rebate or even better recall and pay back the money I spent on a worthless washing machine! So, if Whirlpool wont do the right thing, I will do my best to warn others to not buy this top loading piece of **.

I purchased a dishwasher and hooked it up. The reason I install products myself is I dont like people in my house. I dont know if they are there to help or inventory what they plan to rob from me later. It did not drain so I called Whirlpool who said that I probably hooked it up wrong. Whirlpool said that they would send a service man but if it was hooked up wrong I would have to pay for the service. The service man did arrive and had tattoos all over his neck and arms. (A tear drop would have confirmed that he was a murderer). The machine was hooked up correctly, the water pump was not working at all. The service company that Whirlpool contracted took 3 day to order the part. Yes three day to even order the part. Then another 10 days to get the part in. I called Whirlpool and they did not seem to care at all. My thought is, I am out $599 plus tax, and I have to wait 2 weeks to get my machine fixed, plus I have to take hours off work to wait for the service man and now I have to worry about the service man breaking into my house and robbing me and Whirlpool doesnt care. They should have to pay for the time I was off work and for the interest I lost on the money not being in my account during that two weeks. Whirlpool didnt care at all though. Worst customer service ever. Used to be that Made in America was something good. Not anymore thanks to companies like Whirlpool. Made in America = Garbage!!

Cabrio washing machine - I have had the exact same problems as all of the above... lid locks occasionally ... after many frustrating tries. I am ready to pick up this stupid washing machine and pitch it in the junk pile! Soap on clothes so I have to redo ... except many times it takes forever to get the stupid machine to restart... Most times I end up rinsing things by hand in the sink. We are constantly itchy from soap residue. My clothes do not come out clean. Especially the towels. Clothes are not spun out as much as they should be... Have been doing it over again by hand many times... which is not good because They still have way too much water in them and it takes 2 -3 Times longer to dry them! I am so disappointed in this set. I always thought Whirlpool was a great brand but, sadly, I was terribly mistaken. Never again. Finally got someone to say they have to replace all the controls. They say they will send parts but I have to pay someone to change it out... sounds like they admit there is a problem but will not accept full responsibility for it. I did not make the item so why do I have to pay to have it fixed? I believe they should issue a recall and make all of us believers in them again. I guess its my fault for buying their product? So... doesnt clean, spin, rinse, lock and has a bad odor... not a great product, is it?

My son purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine about two years ago and now it doesnt work. It was an almost $1,000 machine. You would expect a higher quality product. I always bought Whirlpool products because they were so dependable so I recommended my son to go with Whirlpool. Big mistake, the panel lights up but when you press the power button, nothing happens. I do not recommend this machine to anyone. Im wondering if anyone else that has purchased this has had the same trouble.

I bought a brand new KitchenAid stainless steel refrigerator for close to $3,000.00. It has a big crack in the back casing which Im sure is affecting the seal. It is still under manufacturers warranty. Whirlpool sent out a technician to put a yellowish plastic epoxy to seal the crack. When I told him that this was unacceptable as it dries yellowish and has a dull finish he explained that that was all Whirlpool was willing to do.I have been dealing with Whirlpool for 4 weeks now and they refuse to repair the crack and they deny any manufacturing defect. I have sent them pictures of the crack and they still refuse to resolve this issue. Very bad, horrible experience with customer service, long waits on the phone, rude and ineffective employees. This CLEARLY is a company that will not stand by their product and I recommend everyone to CLEARLY stay away from purchasing any Whirlpool products. They will be paying a lot of money for very poorly manufactured products.Please, please, do not purchase Whirlpool products! You will be happier spending money on a company that values you as a customer before and after the sale. Obviously Whirlpool would rather forget you after they have sold you their product and have their money. Thank you for reading this. Im yet another angry customer who is dealing with a defective Whirlpool hot water heater purchased from Lowe’s, still under warranty, and it failed. The thermocouple appears to have failed and, amazingly, the part is nonstandard in that it screws in backwards compared to every other HW heater. Lowe’s doesnt carry the part even though they sold the HW heater. When I contacted Whirlpool, they agreed the part is under warranty and will send one, but I have to pay shipping for a minimum of $10 and a week to wait, plus having to get the part installed. Obviously, I am one of many who bought this defective appliance. Whirlpool used to be a good company, but Ill tell everyone to avoid them in the future. Meanwhile, I have no hot water and its freezing in Cincinnati.

While the washer is great, the reliability of the dryer is lacking. The timer has broken 3 times on ours in 3 years. Each time the cost of the switch is $75.00. Too much plastic on the shaft. If the plastic was removed, and the shaft was metal, it would be a definite improvement.

The agitator is higher than any I have seen and when we washed aprons that have plastic buckles on them, they get stuck under the agitator. When complained their solution was to use laundry bags to wash 15 aprons in, they are long aprons. Paying a lot of money for the machine and it being commercial I didnt think we would not be able to use it. The whole machine shut down when three of the buckles got stuck. The washer is model # CAE2793BQ and I would suggest that no one purchase one of these machines.

They sold me a washer that did not work. First load failed and the machine locked closed. Error E1 F9. Took 7 days for technicians to open the machine. The laundry was rancid by then. Needed a new drain pump motor, which was installed 37 days later. Whirlpool offered $150 for my loss of clothing. Ridiculous. Value $900, I asked for $500. Awful.

I have purchased a Whirlpool Washing Machine Mode W/P WM ROY 6212SD(31089) Sl.No.INF 153400517) GRAY/CHR TN 6.5 on 05.12.2015 with two years warranty on complete washing machine. The warranty period over on 04.12.2017. Exactly after over 3 months the machine start giving noise and we had been in touch Whirlpool and registered the complaint during last week of March 2018 and their local service center people visited, charged Rs.500/- service charge and informed that the machine to be taken to their service center to ascertain the complaint. After over a week informed that the machine complaints of Tub Support, Seal, Bearing, Drive etc. and the estimate is Rs.5,900/- including transportation (hardly 6 kms). The machine cost was only Rs.16,900/- then. I am surprised to know that just after 3 months of expiration of warranty the machine went wrong and the cost or repair costs me Rs.5,900/- is very huge. I hope the concerned will examine this.

I bought the new Whirlpool aqua clean last year - they guaranteed me at the store it would clean as I explained having a clean oven at all times was extremely important to me. They assured me I would be pleased with the results. I have never disliked an oven as much as I do this one. The tech came to the house and checked the temperature of the oven as I also complained it was baking uneven (the back was overcooked while the front was underbaked) but the temperature was right on so nothing can be done. As far as the cleaning goes all I can get is a new bottom pan for the oven as I have four years of insurance. Not happy as I would like to have a different stove. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS OVEN TO ANYONE.

I bought my Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine in 2010. I hate it 100%. I have never used bleach in the machine. I use liquid detergent only. 2 things happen every day: #1: When I wash a load of colors, I take them out when complete and there is dry white powder like substance over the black clothes. It looks dirty but it just got washed. #2 About once a week, I will pull something out of the washer and there is a bleach spot on it. The last item that this happened to was a $200 sweater. It went in the garbage. This should never of happened with an $800 washing machine.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio top loading machine approx 3 yrs. ago. When I first bought it, the machine was super quiet... loved it. I loved the capacity of it. About a yr ago I noticed it started making all kinds of noise, we cant have a conversation downstairs because its so loud. Turns out the bearings are broken. The technician was nice enough to explain to me that its a common problem with those machines. However, Whirlpool is not willing to stand by their product and repair it free of charge. Any other product would of been recalled and repaired. That goes for cars, baby products, and so on. But not Whirlpool, I called and spoke to Andrea in Michigan who told me that there is nothing that they are willing to do. After reading the other reviews and their terrible one star average rating it doesnt surprise me. Shame on me for not researching this product before buying. I hope this saves someone else from making the same mistake. In case your wondering, it cost me $117.00 to have the tech look at the machine. The labor would of cost $125.00 and the part is $251.00........

Aug 2012 bought washer, dryer, stove microwave/hood, dishwasher, fridge. $5000 later I had a service call on washer. Clothes stuck in washer for over 3 days to get fixed. Oven igniter has went out for the third time, 1 broke knob on stove. Dishwasher leaves dishes wet after cycle. Fridge handle fell off, crisper drawer rail broke off, and a door shelf is cracked. I am a veteran and unemployed. What happens when warranty expires and all my CRAP whirlpool breaks a week later? Also was told warranty doesnt cover the crisper drawer. They didnt tell me that when I purchased at Spencers on 75th ave and Bell road. Salesman at Spencers, Dan ** told us everything is covered. Im not a happy customer or VETERAN!

Six months after purchasing my Whirlpool Washer model number WTW5000DW0 I would hear what sounded like rocks in the bottom of spin drum during spin cycles. Then noticed it was taking longer for clothes to wash and sometimes the water did not completely drain. Called for Service under LOWES warranty (the worst people to deal with). Tech comes removes a penny and dime and tells me that is the problem. Leaves. 45 minutes after he leaves there is the noise again. Call and set up for this Service Company to come back. Even though they went out of business prior to the appointment Lowes Service would not listen to me and insisted I stay home ALL DAY for someone who did not show up. Repeated calls to the Service Company resulted in nothing - phone disconnected.So finally after much frustration I am given new appointment with new Service Company - PARRISH. Tech comes in here five minutes and wants to know the sound, I explain. He checks out the unit and tells me it is a major problem and the part and labor will be costly. Best if they just replace the machine. His added comment - I see a lot of this. So if this machine is such a problem why was it not recalled? I am getting a replacement as I have warranty and machine was not a year old when problem started. Lowes Service Contract is another problem but I will deal with that later.

My elderly mother purchased a Whirlpool Washer Mode Number WTW4955HW1 in November 2020. The washer has had nothing but problems. It leaks, vibrates and moves on the floor. My mother called Home Depot to see what she needs to do, and they said once they deliver the product it is out of their hands. Had our first service call in May 2021 by an authorized service and he said they should sell this on eBay. It is a horrible product, he said there is nothing he can do. Had a second authorized service in June 2021 and they said we needed a new tub which they ordered, and he said this will take up to 2 months, they also said to do only small loads and only use the deep-water wash and deep water rinse. After the technician left the agitator now comes apart. Would not recommend this product to anyone and I would never buy anything at Home Depot because they do stand by the products they sell.

Had washer less than 1 year and washer stopped and was flashing code F 51. Called Whirlpool and they sent a repair person. He worked on it and didnt fix problem. Called Whirlpool back. They had to order parts. Repairman came back - replaced parts. Now not 6 months later same thing happening. Whirlpool said we have to pay for labor to repair again. We went online after this happened the first time and saw where others had same problem - this washer should be recalled. The repairman said this part was corroding. This should not be happening on a new washer. We will never buy another Whirlpool product again!!!! Im concerned that it will keep repeating over and over and we paid 700+ for this washer not 1 1/2 ago. My last washer lasted 15 years!!! Wasnt a Whirlpool!!!

This is my first electric range. It’s amazing! It cooks evenly and at the exact temperature! The stovetop has size adjusted burners, again at the precise temperature. And the look is very sleek & modern, perfect for a new kitchen! I am so very pleased.

I had the junky gas water heater for two years and cant keep the thing lit. Calling Whirlpool does no good. They give you the runaround; the store cant do anything. They know they have a faulty product and keep selling it. Some companies are only out for the money. If that wasnt the case, they would discontinue the junk. They will send you replacement parts but if you know nothing about them, you have to put out more money for someone to come and fix it. I would love to send them the bill! I would not recommend this brand of anything to anyone.

I have never had such a horrible experience in my life as I have with Whirlpool. Refrigerator ($2,500) broke within three months, and then broke again another two months later and hasn’t worked right since. They have the most horrible customer service, parts are on back order, I’ve had to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of food because everything keeps freezing but they do not care. Ice machine has been broken for over a month for the second time. They are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Buyer beware. Do not buy anything from this company. Their products are the worst and they have zero customer service. Good luck if you buy something and it breaks. You might as well just buy a completely new appliance.

I know that appliances are made to be disposable, but throwing away a $40 toaster after 18 months is easier to live with than throwing away a $350-$400 dishwasher. We bought a new dishwasher at Lowes on October 15, 2015. It is now May 11, 2016. The manufacturers warranty was for a year. It has been about a year and half since it was installed. Not very long for an appliance that one would assume would last at least 5-10 years. When we called Whirlpool to see about a repair visit, we were told that the trip to the house would cost $105, and the parts could go as high as $250-$300. So if you weigh the original price to the repair price, having it repaired is not rational, but neither is throwing away a dishwasher thats almost new. Its still clean inside. No soap residue or anything in the tub. In the past, by the time we were in the market for a new dishwasher, our old dishwasher looked like it had been through the war. It just breaks my heart to know that a company is so slipshod at making appliances that they wear out in less than two years. There doesnt seem to be any recourse but to dump a perfectly good, relatively new dishwasher in the landfill. We are leaving a very big footprint by doing this.

I purchased a washer and dryer stackable about 6 months ago. It is suppose to have warranty but when calling the first time to Whirlpool their system was down and the girl was rude and hung up. Today I called and the only time they can offer is work days Monday-Friday 8-5. However, I live in Texas and work an hour and half away from where I live. I have just been transferred here so limited people known. So in order to get my dryer not even 6 months old fixed I have to accommodate the hours available and miss work. The dryer just stopped heating and stuck on the sensing wet cycle. I am a single parent of a disabled son, so with this said a days work is bills not getting paid. I find this unacceptable for a company as well known and one of the best not able to accommodate someones work hours for pretty much a lemon. It was a brand new dryer and washer.

Purchased Whirlpool gas hot water heater from LOWES on 9/25/2016. After the installation, tried to light the pilot light for 90 minutes. Followed the recommended instructions, I could not get it to light. Called LOWES they told me to call Whirlpool. I did so, and told them I will return the heater to LOWES the next day. Whirlpool customer service very bad. Returned the heater to LOWES the next morning, went to a local plumbing shop and purchased a Rheem heater. After installation it lit very first attempt. Now three weeks later I get a letter in mail from collection agency that LOWES turned me in for stopping payment on the check I wrote them. After reading the many negative reviews and they disregard for my and my familys safety, nobody should purchase a Whirlpool gas heater from LOWES.

I bought this washer thinking it would last me for a long time. And now it wont wring out my clothes and I just wanted to say I am disappointed in my Cabrio Washer.

We had the same thing happen. We purchased a brand new home and within 6mo the plastic around the handle started breaking off and pieces would fall into any food that was being cooked on the stove. Whirlpool fixed it for free but now the same thing is happening with the new door.

I bought a Whirlpool washing machine on 16 Feb 2011. I started having problems with it in June. It was making very loud noises when it was agitating and the clothes were still wet after the spin cycle. I called Nebraska Furniture Mart where I purchased it and they said that after 30 days, I had to call the manufacturer. I called Whirlpool and they sent A&E out to fix it. The technician that came out spent an hour trying to figure out what was wrong with it. When he was gone, I was left with two inches of water on my washroom floor and I had to pull the washer and dryer out myself to wipe it up. He ordered a part that came the next week and a different technician came out to put it in. After looking at the washer, the second technician said that the first technician diagnosed it wrong and he ordered a new transmission for it. About a week later, the transmission arrived at my house and a third technician came to install it. The washer worked for a few days and started acting up again and leaking water. I once again called Whirlpool and they sent yet another technician out. I told Whirlpool that I had lost faith in A&E so they sent All Appliances out. The technician from All Appliances said that it needed a transmission and he would have to order it in. A few days later, he came back to install it. It worked for a few loads. The leaking had stopped but now, it does not spin out the clothes. To make matters worse, it now releases the Downy at the wrong time and I now have blue spots all over my clothes. I have made repeated calls to Whirlpool and talked to two different managers. I asked the first manager for her direct number so I wouldnt have to go through the whole explanation again if I needed to call back. But she gave me her number without her 4-digit extension so, there was no way of finding her again. When I talked to the second manager (by this time, I have lost my patience), I told him my whole story and I told him that Whirlpool has spent $1,000.00 between parts and technician service on a $460.00 machine and it still doesnt work. It is a lemon and I deserve a voucher for the full price to purchase something different.After one and a half hours on the phone, Lukas informed me that the only thing he could do was to send yet another technician to my home. I have lost all faith in Whirlpool and I believe that they do not stand behind their product. They only push you until the warranty has expired! I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance again!

I bought my fridge 6 years ago. 13 months after purchase I had to replace the compressor. Last month I had to replace the water drip pan. Now the fridge is knocking and hissing again and warm inside. Compressor needs to be replaced. I contacted Whirlpool and they said 6 years is old for an appliance. Seriously!?? What about 13 months when the compressor went? They obviously dont stand behind their products. They are unable to admit I got a dud. Im so disappointed and frustrated. Stay clear!!!

Bought a nice house in 2012 which has a Quiet Partner 3 Dishwasher. About twice a week it has to be reset pressing buttons because it blinks at you when you press start. Control board was replaced a couple times since we bought house. We just put up with it. The tub has a manufacturers defect in bottom where the plastic is so thin it finally cracked and over time water trickling out went to wall. Then ruined an area in finished basement ceiling. Ive used a couple different things to stop the leak but it always starts leaking. Customer service says its not under warranty so will buy a new dishwasher. But not Whirlpool or Maytag. Same company now. Dishwasher is a total piece of crap.

My new fridge is extremely hard to open. The technician that was sent out told me that there is too much suction building up inside the fridge and freezer and that is why it has to be yanked to open. This is not only annoying it means the fridge is constantly being pulled forward out of place. Technicians solution was to deactive the castors under the fridge. At the time he was here I did not realize that I could then no longer move the fridge out of its place to clean. I called Whirlpool and complained and was told that they could do nothing more for me because the fridge is in good working order. I hardly would call this good working order. They also informed me that if I wished to clean under the fridge or the coils at the back it would require a service call to move the fridge and I WOULD BE CHARGED EACH TIME. Needless to say I AM VERY, VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE WHOLE SITUATION.

On 12-22-13 we purchased a new Whirlpool Washer- Model=Top Loading-WTW4800BQ. We also purchased Lowes extended warranty. Washer was delivered on 12-24-13 around 1:00pm. Connected washer. Washer filled with water. System started but would not wash. 10 minutes later it rinsed and drained but would not go thru wash cycle. We clicked the cancel button for 3-seconds to restart. Same problem. Called Lowes - Lady name Kelly continued to tell us we did something wrong. She would not listen and continued to say its Christmas EVE. Finally the workers came out to check it out around 4:00. Confirmed washer is defective and new washer will be delivered on 12-26-13. Confused as to the label on the machine says made with pride in America. Our 20yr. old Cabrio only lasted two years and went up. Never buy another Whirlpool product!

Purchased new Whirlpool 2-door, side by side refrigerator from Standards store in December 2010 for close to TT$10,000. For 2-3 years, it made a very loud noise. Each time it cut off that disturbed my peace and quiet. I complained, to no avail. In early 2015 or thereabouts I began experiencing severe warming problems in the non-freezer compartment and, since that time, I have suffered large losses from spoilage. The warming coincides with over-freezing (icicles, thick frost formation and whirling, dense cold air) in the freezer compartment and icing up of the vents in the non-freezer section. Moreover, the cool air flows from the top vent only when the freezer door is left open. Since that time Ive only been able to marginally cool the non-freezer section by unplugging for up to an entire day, at least once per week. I believe this is a manufacturing flaw rendering the non-freezer section not fit for its purpose although it manifested itself sometime after purchase. My prior experience with another brand has been totally different (13 years and still working). It is totally frustrating. It is also unsafe since spoilage is sometimes difficult to detect. Here, we have to deal with the seller and that is often a hopeless situation, particularly outside of the warranty, as has been my experience with another household appliance. Ive been advised by independent technicians who reportedly have encountered this problem that the solution lies in boring a hole connecting the two compartments which then enables efficient cooling of the non-freezer compartment. Quite frankly, I would like to have the refrigerator replaced despite the fact that it is outside of the warranty.

My husband and I purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave in 2005, model number MIX155XHPT-1 and serial number TR S 30 32419. At first the top vent broke then the opening side broke off. Then the whole side of the closing door broke off. Now the whole door wants to fall off. I would have never expected this from Whirlpool, but it happened.

I live in a new community, and this French Door refrigerator with bottom freezer was offered as an upgrade. Two of my neighbors and I have had the compressor break right after the refrigerator warranty expired. Luckily for us, the builder purchased and extended warranty, so we were all covered. I have NEVER had a compressor go out in ONE year.

Whirlpool tells its technicians that the front molding piece on their dryers is a disposable part . Basically, it has to be removed to examine the console and removing it will break it 90% of the time. Therefore, the customer will have to replace a $100.00 part simply to diagnose any problems. I now have a dryer with no front panel simply because I wanted to know why a button was sticking.

I have been a dedicated Whirlpool customer for 50 years. I purchased my new, Cabrio washer and dryer in 2011. The dryer works fine. The washer does not. It ties everything in knots. Most everything comes out in one large, wrinkled lump. When washing sheets, it wraps the whole load in a soaking wet, fitted sheet bubble. You cannot wash one item by itself, because it will become unbalanced and shutdown. I will say that I havent had any repairs yet, but I have a feeling, its only a matter of time. I have decided to buy a new washer, but it will not be a Whirlpool.

I am having the very same problem with my french door stainless steel Whirlpool gold refrigerator. Water pooling in the bottom of freezer, freezing into a solid sheet and then leaking onto the floor. It is less than 2 years old. Apparently, this is a significant defect in this problem seeing how so many people are having the same problem with the same fridge. Has anyone reported to BBB? Im thinking class action lawsuit. Im getting ready to have to repair my kitchen floors as a result of this defect. I will be talking to my brother-in-law attorney about this and will post his response/recommendation. Whirlpool should stand behind their product and make this right.

Purchased this machine in Jan 2012. From the start, dark clothes came out with white streaks on them. Thought I was doing something wrong - kept using machine. Then started noticing my whites coming out looking very dingy, light tan stains on them. Called Whirlpool and was told to use Affresh tablets to CLEAN my washer - why should you have to clean a washing machine?Several weeks ago noticed machine getting very loud during spin cycles - and I mean loud! Sounds like a jet engine taking off in my basement. Called repairman - he listened to my machine and said noise is the bearings, seal not fitting properly around bearings and the grease for bearings is slowly leaking out into my wash cycles. Explains the dingy whites and spots on darks. Said he just worked on a Cabrio with same issue - had to rebuild seal and bearings - about a $450 job. After reading all these reviews, decided not to attempt to fix this machine. Going to scrap it and start over. $900 for 3 yrs of an inadequate washing machine!! Whirlpool should be made accountable for this inadequate product to all of us consumers who threw away hard-earned money. Reading up on the Speed Queen agitator model. Lots of good reviews. Think I will go back to the old tried and true way of washing clothes.

Whirlpool - good price for pair. I have had this pair for over 10 years and they work good and are reliable even though they were not the top of the line models. Large capacity is a must - energy efficient is also a must. Discounts are nice to get but if not available I will go with a name brand. I want a washer with an agitator not one of the new ones that dont have one. Reliability is the most important factor so repairs are not needed. I want a full size washer with several cycles and all cycles have a cold rinse to save energy. Having a center agitator is a must - cant stand the newer ones.

I purchased my Whirlpool Cabrio in November 2009. I am just four months shy of the two-year mark and it is dead! I paid a lot for the machine because I thought it was worth the investment. It was not mistreated in any way! The problem is in the computer part of the machine.Everyone knows that to have a repair person come out is costly in itself, add to that repairs and parts, and it isnt worth it to fix an appliance most of the time. I will never purchase Whirlpool again. Never. I could have bought three cheap machines for this one Whirlpool, and had a couple of backups in the event that one quit on me! I just contacted Whirlpool Co. by online chat concerning the workmanship of their microwave that is less than two years old. The interior top has begun to bubble and peel as well as rusting. This is the 2nd Whirlpool microwave where I am experiencing bubble and peeling paint as well as rusting. Whirlpool informed that the manufactory was 1 year warranty and to contact a technician at my expense. There is a real health issue here and I hope consumer complaints about this company is being monitored by someone who can help all of those with concerns.

Whirlpool cabrio washing machine is 3 years old and the bottom leaks heavy bearing oil everywhere. I now see it is a common complaint and the seal was incorrectly installed by the manufacturing plant. They should be forced to offer a recall and they should stand behind their product. I will never buy whirlpool again. I see thousands of complaints online.

Durability, reliability and warranties have been the main features we have found useful. Most of the ranges and ovens have been replaced at home, always with Whirlpool brand, but with added improvements that manufacturer come up with, in order to integrate our devices to the latest technologies. I purchased the Whirlpool Flame Lock water heater (model BFG1F4034T3NOV) in May of 2008. Within a little over a year, it stopped working. I was able to get the manufacturer to send out a repairman and install a new kit. It worked great for 2 years. Now, here I am again with the pilot light going out daily. So I went to Lowes and purchased the thermocouple, and a friend installed it. We still have to light the pilot light twice a day to have hot water for showers.

I had the Whirlpool side by side GSC25C4EYW00 less than a year. The vegetable bin - 2nd from the bottom - front panel broke off. No wonder, there are 2 tabs holding it to the rest of the bin. Its cheap, brittle plastic. Come on, Whirlpool, you have to do better. What a disappointment. Dont buy one.

I had a Whirlpool washer that was 31 years old so when the motor went out I bought a Whilpool Cabrio. I HATE it!!! First, it takes at least an hour for 1 small load to finish. Then the clothes are not even clean and rinsed all the way. Dry patches on clothes and where the soap did reach the clothes there is white soap scum all over. I tried using the extra rinse function and still soap everywhere. Im hardly using any soap to begin with. I have to wash some things twice to get the soap off. Thought I was doing good by buying HE. What a waste of money. I cant wait til it breaks which should be soon according to all the previous comments. I have only had it 4 weeks. Dont buy this machine!

The drawer guides on the large clear drawer at the top of the whirlpool refrigerator are very flimsy causing the drawer to drop when pulled out to the stop. When I called about this I was told it was cosmetic and not covered under warranty. I purchased the extended warranty which will replace the flimsy parts with the same flimsy parts. On 6/24/2024 Denisia sent me new side rails, exactly the type I have. I replaced them but the right side one broke. I regret ever owning one and will not recommend a whirlpool product to anyone. It is very obvious to anyone, after using this product, that that particular part is not safe and is definitely more than a cosmetic problem. I have already dumped the contents on the floor once and have just managed to catch it more times than I care to count. I spoke with Danielle on 5/14/2014. Purchased Whirlpool free standing smooth top range at Sears Outlet (scratch & dent) in Columbus, OH on December 8, 2012 for a rental property. On May 18, 2014, tenant said she turned the oven on to preheat and turned on one of the front burners. She said she was at the sink preparing food and heard a loud noise; turned around and there were flames coming from the top of the stove. This didnt sound logical so I called fire department and spoke with one of the firemen. He said there was no evidence of anything in the oven or on top of the stove. Tenant said only thing she noticed is that there was a clicking noise coming from the stove a few days prior. After reading all of these complaints, I dont think I will buy another smooth top Whirlpool electric range. Luckily no one was hurt.

Whirlpool and their extended warranty is a ripoff! I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator not even two years ago. It has stopped working 4 or 5 times, causing us to lose all our food. When it is working, it makes an awful noise. I have renewed my contract with A&E due to the fact that the frig is a lemon; which A&E is a joke as well. I contacted them 2 weeks ago about the frig not working again. They stated they could not come until Sept 18th, a month later. Come on. Really. They are a ripoff as well as Whirlpool appliances. False advertising is against the law. I also contacted the merchant where the frig was purchased in Hazlehurst GA, who does not care one way or the other. If whirlpool was as great as they seem to think their appliances are, they would replace this lemon in my kitchen. We are elderly and are not able to keep dealing with this issue. I would never ever recommend a Whirlpool appliance to anyone. As a matter of fact, I will tell everyone I know not to purchase one; due to the way your company has treated me and my wife.

Whirlpool makes a quality product. My gas range is 25 years old and it still performs like new. I’ve never had to have it repaired and it is used daily. If and when the time comes that I need or want to replace it, I will not consider any other brand.

Whirlpool Gas Range Model WFG524LAB0 - Purchased on 09/2013. Product works well but noticed back in July 2014 that cook top was not cleaning well. Did not mind it that much thinking it was just baked on grease and would just do a general cleaning when I get to it. After the holidays and now getting around to clean the range top, I discovered the cause of range top not cleaning well. The porcelain was chipping away.Today I called Whirlpool customer to complain and see what they do. They replied that it was just a cosmetic blemish and that was not covered under warranty. I told them that that cosmetic blemish lead to rusting and eventually result to failure of the product. They also said it was out of warranty but was eager to have a tech come over to check the problem out for additional fee.

What idiot designs a fridge that leaves water stains like this? And, the water falls onto the floor when refilling a water bottle plus there is no catch for the water. Argh! I really dont want to live with this for 20 years! Their resolution was to get a water softener; really?! It has a filter built in. They refused to replace the fridge.

I have purchased many Whirlpool ranges for my apartment buildings that I own and operate. They never give me a problem with operation or length of service. I only have to replace them when a tenant does something dastardly to them. My husband and I remodeled our kitchen and we purchased one for our kitchen too!

After 16 months the Whirlpool refrigerator Model number: #WRT311SZDW00 goes out. While trying to use extended warranty Whirlpool states it will be 4 to 6 week before a technician can come out. YES- Weeks not days. Now Whirlpool states they are unable to find a technician in my area and in order to get it fixed I will need to hire the tech and seek reimbursement from them for the repair. However prior to the repair they will need to approve the repair. In the mean time I am renting a refrigerator at my cost. They lost a customer for life!!! I bought a Maytag front load washer on October 24, 2010. I have not been able to use it because it came damaged by the manufacturers. I contacted them by phone several times and it took them three months to send someone (A and E sears repair). Two months passed and I did not get the parts necessary or a replacement washer. I kept calling and finally they sent someone again in May 2011. They said they where going to order the parts because the new company was not going to replace the machine, even though it was already damaged. They said I would get the parts between three-five business days. I only got one part. A and E sent a repair guy again on the 22nd of June. This one said they needed the entire machine in parts and that he would order the parts. I called A and E one week later and they said they were waiting for the on manufacturer to send the parts (Whirlpool). The 26th and the 27th of July, I got the parts. On the 22nd of July, another repairman came and said we needed more parts. Today, August 16, 2011, I called Whirlpool and A and E and now they said the parts wont be here till after October 26, which by then I would have to pay for the parts and labor if I wanted it fixed because by then the one-year warranty would have expired. So here I am with a $700 washer, which was never used and they refused to fix/replace. They sold me a lemon!

I bought a Whirlpool model # WRF757SDEM. It has failed twice in 7 months. The tops temperature hovers at 54 degrees Fahrenheit. The freezer works fine. I had a whirlpool fridge for 10 years before I bought this one and never had trouble with it. This particular model seems to have a design flaws according to other reviews I saw on this site that read similar to mine. We are waiting on parts. This is the second time in 6-7 weeks that it breaks down.

I bought a house and for the first time in my life, I was able to afford and buy all new Whirlpool appliances at Sears. I worked so hard all my life and was so happy I could get new appliances when I was almost 50 years old. Up until then, I could only afford to get used appliances. Even then I had to finance them with a credit card, only to be so sad and disappointed. They are without a doubt the ** junk I have ever had. I wish I could have all my old appliances back. My new Whirlpool flat top oven burns everything and has ruined all my pots and pans. I do canning every year and it has ruined my very old and heavy pressure cookers. Even when you turn the heat all the way to low, it burns everything. I called the manufacturer and they say they do not have to disclose that it will ruin your pressure cookers or burn everything. I am very angry I bought any Whirlpool appliances. I also got a new washer and dryer; they are junk too. They dont clean my clothes like my old washer and everything is so wrinkled up when it comes out of the dryer. I need to iron everything. I have never seen anything like it. I also bought a Whirlpool hot water tank that has now gone out 2 times in 5 years because the thermostat burns out. I pray it doesnt burn my house down one of these days. One of the times it went out, I was about 10 feet away from it and it literally blew up and about gave me a heart attack. It was so loud and scared the bejezzers out of me. Whirlpool, you suck. I have told everyone I can tell how much junk your appliances are. Your company should have to be accountable for selling people such **! I would sure like to be paid not only for the cost of these junky appliances but also all my quality pressure cookers, ruined clothes and distress this has caused me. They have no consequences. They have gotten away with ripping people off and giving a lot of us tons of stress, stress, stress, and anxiety, not to mention all the financial cost. Thanks, Whirlpool, you piece of junk! I think if I had not worked so hard to finally get what I thought at the time were high quality new appliances, I wouldnt be so affected but I dont have the money now to get new quality appliances. Whirlpool convection/microwave GMH6185XVS - In 2011, we purchased a whole new kitchen for our home with the top of the line Whirlpool products. The sorry side of this project was our microwave. This product has been terrible for us! It has been removed from our wall 4 times for failing... and four times we have gone for weeks at a time with a big hole in our kitchen wall!! All of the failures were due to the microwave not heating food or drink, and all, according to our local dealership, were for various different reasons. Again, it has failed and our local appliance center who we bought everything from does not want to deal with it anymore. I dont blame them... I dont either!! It looks beautiful up there above our range telling me the time of day... My wife and I are older adults and take very good care of everything we own. There certainly has never been any abuse to this product (not to mention we spend half our year at a winter home so this microwave only is used for 6 months a year). I contacted Whirlpool customer service about the reliability of this product and their response was that it is now not under warranty and we should deal with our local store about repairs. I have a small Sharp microwave sitting on the counter below this crappy excuse for one that stays there all the time in anticipation on the Whirlpool going down!!! The $60.00 Sharp never fails me!! This was our 2nd time around purchasing all Whirlpool products for our house. We did the same thing when we built back in 1990. All appliances performed as they should have back then. It seems Whirlpool integrity has gone downhill. I will never buy another Whirlpool product nor I will recommend to anyone I know to do the same. Good luck to anyone who purchased one of these.

We purchased KitchenAid Model YKESS907SS05 Electric Range from Appliance Canada April 2012, just before we took possession of our new home. We began using the range in July of that year and it worked well until September 11, 2014. At that time we decided to use one of the features of the range which is the self-clean feature. During which the control panel failed and our oven ceased to work.We contacted Appliance Canada and they suggested a technician come to assess. We called the suggested number and they send a technician that was not Whirlpool certified and we had to pay out of pocket for the visit $158. He did absolutely nothing during the visit. We then called Whirlpool Canada and they informed us that he was not Whirlpool certified and to call Appliance Canada, we immediately called Appliance Canada and made arrangements to have certified technician come to assess. Whirlpool Canada also indicated at that time that the board that failed was still under warranty and we should not have to pay. September 22nd the second technician came to assess the situation, used tape to cover the front blowing air duct so as not to have the hot air blow back onto the control panel. This was a temporary fix, they ordered a control panel in the interim that they would then use to replace. The control panel came in October the 22nd, was replaced and the new board was faulty, put old one back in and re-ordered another board. The part was on back-order. By mid November, after numerous calls, we called Whirlpool directly. They authorized that the technician to get the part from another supply source. On November the 26th, technician came back - tried new board could not get it to work, left it with us and ordered additional parts. At that time the technician who was taking the case had a family emergency and would not be able to come back out until the new year. Subsequently, Appliance Canada authorized a new company to resume our work with a new technician (Toronto Appliance). He came out December the 17th, with the board that was left behind, he was able to get the oven working. December the 22nd while in the middle of cooking a meal, the oven failed again. We called Appliance Canada and they had a Technician scheduled to come December the 24th from Toronto Appliance. However, on December the 23rd the oven resumed working. The Technician came on the 24th but because the oven was working again could do nothing. On December the 31st, while dinner was in for guests, the oven failed yet again. We called Appliance Canada, yet again, and they scheduled another visit with a new control panel and additional board. The technician arrived again today, January the 28th, and could not get the stove working. He was instructed to order an additional part and we are to wait another 2 weeks. In total, we have been waiting for 4 and a half months, we have also been told that we were not to have used the self-clean as this causes these types of problems. Why is it offered, in addition, Whirlpool has not supported our direct calls, nor authorized the replacement of a product, that for all intents and purposes, is faulty. We have had no success in the resolution of this issue nor support to reach a resolution from all parties involved. I would suggest not buying any product from those involved as their lack of support for their product is appalling.

My $700 Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine just broke after only 16 months of having it. The error code that comes up is f 51. With some research, I found that these machines are notorious for breaking down just after warranty with an f 1 code for older machines and an f 51 code for newer machines. Whirlpool is well aware of the breakdowns and the defect inherent in these machines and still sells them with no warning or no recall to fix the problem. I contacted the company and they refused to fix it for free and I understand the fix will now cost me another $300 to $400! What a scam! I will never buy Whirlpool or any of their other products again!

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine April 2016. I was so excited to have a new washing machine. I thought the 1st couple times I used it I just didnt have settings right. It uses so little water it doesnt get all clothes wet. If they are not wet they cant be clean. So I started doing very small loads. Then clothes were not clean. They stink. So I have tried every detergent out there. Nothing helps. Another thing it takes an hour or longer per wash to get not so dirty clothes. Not to mention it puts holes in my towels. I tried reaching out to Lowes where we bought it only less than 4 months ago only to be told they would contact Whirlpool. Whirlpool wanted to send tech that I would have to pay for just to tell me that the piece of crap washing machine is doing everything the manufacturer made it to do. I told him I was not going to pay so. I think with all the problems people there should be a class action lawsuit. DO NOT BUY CABRIO!!!

First, the storage drawer doesnt close properly aligned. When viewed from the side it looks off kilter. This is because the foot of the range interferes with it closing. Second, what is with the bright blue color of the time/temp on the computer screen? Everything else in the kitchen is green, but now I have bright blue(?).

Whirlpool oven aqua lift - This oven is the worst in the world. I cant even imagine cooking a turkey in it. After cooking a pizza it took four cleanings and a lot of scrubbing. Self cleaning --- not, you clean and clean and clean. I have had ovens that were not self cleaning and easier to clean than this. Do not buy. And Lowes is no help at all. Run as fast as you can.

Purchased a Whirlpool microwave for new home in December 2013. Model WHM31017AW-1. This is the second time the heater element has to be replaced. Im starting to learn the warning signals: open door and then a short time later the microwave would die a sudden death. In my 20s I purchased for my house in Boca Raton Fl all Whirlpool products... they worked forever. Now not so much. In order to get this one fixed again, I had to get a service contract for $300 which would be cheaper than getting it fixed again, heating element $400 and service call another $100. Serious $300 service contract money too much for a senior citizen. Never will I buy another Whirlpool product as a result.

I purchased a #Whirlpool; 4.3 cu. ft. Mini Refrigerator Stainless Steel BC-127B from @Target. There was a delay putting it into service (6 mos), so the Target store warranty was expired. The unit remained in its factory shipped packaging until put in service, so nothing out of the ordinary there. After barely two weeks of use, the compressor died. I followed all instructions (including waiting 8-10 weeks) from Whirlpool, but still have not received a refund or been given any information beyond we escalated it to our warranty team but havent heard back yet. The unit was a poorly made piece of junk in other respects as well. There are dozens of complaints about precisely this - defective units - on any site. Do not be fooled by the dishonest way that #Targets website lists reviews. Dig deeper.

I should have read reviews prior to purchasing the Washer and Dryer. The washer sucks big time. Does not clean clothes. Leaves soap in clothes. The repair man said use 2 tbsps. of soap. Still soap in clothes. I use 1 tablespoon of HE soap. 2 1/2 hours for 1 load because I have to use deep water and extra rinse on first wash. Then I wash again with no soap. I HATE this washer. Whites are now yellow after washing. Cannot do lightweight comforters. I am at the laundry mat more than using my new washing machine. Dryer is ok but does not remove any lint from clothes or towels. I always trusted Whirlpool. Not anymore.

I feel the Whirlpool washer we have Works amazing. Its an older model and Im still happy with it. It does big loads without having to do it over again or on balancing itself. I have actually had a Samsung washer and we constantly had issues with it - sensor problems and was not very user-friendly at times. I also feel that a lot of the newer washers out there are cheaply made plastic parts and can break easily. Too many companies cutting Corners these days.

We were told by the extended warranty technician when he came to diagnose the machine on 6/24/13 that the bearing and basket were bad. He ordered the parts and returned on 7/2 to repair the machine. Upon taking it apart, he discovered the top counter balance was missing and was the reason that the bearing and other parts had failed. I will include pictures of the plastic that the counter balance should have been attached to. You can see there are no screw holes or scuffs on the plastic. It was suggested by one of the customer service agents, Kitty in TN, that we remove the counter balance. Per Kitty, Because had it come from the factory like that, it would have walked all over the laundry room and not worked right since the first day. Honestly, we have scuffs all over our walls and my husband just thought the legs needed adjusted or it wasnt sitting properly on the pedestal. We have never owned a front load washer, so we didnt know what to expect. The washer sits in a very tight space under the cabinets, but will walk in the middle of the floor especially before we installed the pedestal.The top counter balance was ordered on 7/2 and we were told it would arrive and be installed today. The technician called me at 10:55AM today and stated the package had not arrived. We are asking Whirlpool for a replacement washer as the one we purchased brand new came from the factory defective. We have been told a solid NO. Upon further inspection of the machine while taking pictures, I noticed that the bottom counter balance is cracked clear through as well. Im attaching pictures of that. I did speak with Laticia in MI. She was VERY nice and more empathetic than the other 6 or so people we have spoken with at Whirlpool customer service. She was professional, helpful and I hope who Whirlpool would want representing their company and brand.We feel Whirlpool sold us a faulty machine and they should replace it. We have been told by them that they are sending the parts as a GOODWILL gesture, and will have the parts installed. Now after the whole inside of it is shot and possibly the motor and boards, thats awesome. We are now an LG/Samsung family. This was our 3rd and last set of appliances from Whirlpool. When the rest of these die, we will replace with another brand. How sad that what once was a great company, and I grew up with my mom and grandma thinking there was no other brand to use beside Whirlpool, now we are left washerless for 3 weeks. They refuse to stand behind a mistake that was made in the factory. Ive read these are made in Germany. Maybe Whirlpool needs to bring jobs back to the US and improve their quality control.

Purchased side-by-side 3 weeks ago. There are 2 adults and 1 kid in my household and the ice maker in the unit does not put out enough ice to handle our small demand, though this was never an issue with the 14 year old Whirlpool that this one replaced! We are using ice trays to supplement what ice the ice maker puts out but the ice trays take up valuable freezer space. Their service reps have inspected it and tell me that it is performing per the specs and when I ask for what the remedy is, there is none... ie. too bad, so sad!! I am apparently on my own with a brand new refrigerator with an ice maker that wont perform up to minimum expectations!

My washing machine quit working with one month left on the warranty. In trying to schedule repair I was never able to talk to a live person. Via chat and online scheduling they could not or would not come out for 10 days. Also they would not approve use of a local repairman who was willing to work on it in 2 days. Waiting 10 days for service on a washing machine is crazy.

Light bulb went out in the freezer. Come to find it is a led cluster with a circuit board only cost $30 to $100. Engineer should be fired. What is the reason to take simple bulb and custom bastardize into an expensive hybrid. Greed.

Whirlpool Duet - they are highly rated and are aesthetically pleasing. Highly rated, they are expensive, my last Duet w/d didnt last as long as expected. Ive had to repair both machines once since I purchased them. Good quality is of utmost importance, plenty of washing and drying options, front loading washing machine, full size extra large capacity, attractive machines, good reputation for quality and lack of repairs.

Whirlpool Du1100xtpb3 dishwasher: The spring on the latch keeps coming off (3 times in two months). The service repair man charged me for replacing the latch when all that was wrong with it was the spring. That being said, now we are fixing it ourselves. For your information, there is a paper in the bottom of the dishwasher that tells you what is wrong by how the lights are flashing. So each time we replace the spring, we have to reprogram it by pushing a sequence of buttons. Still, I cant figure why the spring wont stay on. Help me if you can.

This Whirlpool dishwasher is the worst dishwasher I have had in 45 years of using dishwashers. I have bought dishwashers, but now rent and so am stuck with this one. Initially, I complained to the landlord about the dishwasher not getting the dishes clean, so the repairman came and recommend replacement. Unfortunately, it was replaced with the same brand. The new one didnt wash any better than the old one so I pre-rinsed everything and the dishes still come out with sprayed dried food on them. The spray holes in the arms fill with food no matter how thoroughly I rinse the dishes. The silverware in the door rarely is clean. The filter is always coated with food particles. The top shelf is always worse than the bottom shelf. I have used inexpensive GEs before and nothing compares to the poor quality of the whirlpool.

Since there is only two people in this home, we decided to go for the smaller front-loading machine. This was purchased in 2012, still running. It does a clean wash, however common sense does remind people to not over-load a front load washer. If one follows directions, it gets the job done, and ones machine lasts longer without problems. Its a great machine but the temperature control button is easily moved at times. The machine does a great job in washing clothes. Ive had mine for 10 years now and hope that I never have to replace it.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer WTW6200VWO & Cabrio Dryer WED6200SW1 - My Cabrio washer ties clothes in knots but the big issue is that if it goes to UL (uneven load). There is no alarm. Washer stops all operations except one. It fills up over the top, all over the rec room, out the door and down the street until someone alerts me! I run down, hit cancel and it drains. I unknot the clothes and start over. Then I mop up! Help! My Cabrio dryer has been through four door latches and I finally realize that the issue is that the latch and the protruding part do not line up evenly. This breaks the latches. Help!

I purchased this Whirlpool Cabrio washer three months ago from hhgregg. If I hit the lottery, the first thing Im going to do is take it to the dump and buy a new washer. There is no way to wash a load of towels in this machine. I started a load at 7:35 this morning and it is now 9:53 and Im still dealing with the drain and spin cycles. Over and over, I try to get it to spin out enough water that I can put the towels in the dryer. I should have suspected something when I saw that the washer even had a separate drain and spin cycle. It should have told me something. Its a piece of junk. Never again. Im back to Kenmore.

The only model number I can find is W10484489A.... Do NOT buy this machine. It is pathetic!! This machine cannot handle more than 2 bath towels at a time!! It will just keep trying to spin, yet NOT spinning, then when you stop it, there is no choice to just spin again, you have to rinse and spin!! Unbelievable.... takes a whole evening to do one load of towels!!! (actually a whole evening to do 2 towels) I hate it!!! Not to mention, whatever they designed between the tub and the door, a rubber whatever it is, is nothing but a catch for disgusting bacteria and slime. Considering the amount of wash I DONT DO, this is unacceptable, even though I have bought and used the new washing machine washing stuff!!! Honestly.... had a Maytag Neptune before this machine..... that is the way to go folks, pay a little more, but way more satisfied. Cleaned like a gem, unlike this whirlpool, cleaning is at best mediocre!! Unfortunately, I broke it, asking it to wash huge 120 in round table cloths for my business, and heavy chair covers..... Had I have know.... cant even wash 2 towels in this new Whirlpool machine!! It is heading to the curb with all its disgusting places you have to clean, I will pay someone to take it away, seriously cost me a ton of money in re-spinning (or yeah, and re- rinsing, cause you cant just spin something), would have been better to fix my MAYTAG!!! I hate Whirlpool!! Do not buy one!!

Just wondered if anyone else has had a problem with the paint bubbling up and peeling off their washer and/or dryer. My washer and dryer are in my laundry room off the kitchen with a heat and air vent in the room and I dont understand why my paint is doing this. They are about 5 years old and have always been in this room, never in a garage or basement. My dryer was rusting on the outside about 3 years ago and even though I bought the extended warranty, Whirlpool said it was only cosmetic and they wouldnt do anything about it. I bought them at Lowes and they were good enough to give me a new one to replace it. Both of the machines now have the paint bubbling up and peeling off and there is nothing that can be done. Anybody else have this problem and if so what can be done to repair the paint? This is my 3rd set of Whirlpool washer and dryers over the past 44 years and I will purchase another brand next time.

During the initial warranty the oven was not heating properly. Several service calls within the warranty issue was not resolved. Whirlpool extended the warranty another year as of this date and several service calls problem not resolved. When a tech comes out there is a diagnostic check that checks the temp for 10 min. Since the temp drops after 10 min they cannot detect problem. I asked for the tech to remain for the complete cooking period which they cannot do. I have wasted many meals and still have a oven that does not work.

Was weary due to not a name associated with furnaces, but we installed a 100,000 Btu unit 2 stage and have not had any issues thus far.

Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer: nice job Whirlpool! You designed a washer that breaks if you accidentally wash a coin! For the second time in a few months, were fixing our washer because a coin was in a pocket. The coin gets sucked into the discharge pump and sounds like popcorn popping when it drains. It rattles around the inside of the machine’s pump until it breaks the plastic pump housing. You will know when this happens because there will be water on your floor. Did you ever consider a screen to prevent a coin from ruining the washer? God forbid someone leaves a coin in their pocket. Well, if you leave a coin in your pocket and wash your jeans, it will cost you a repair every time with this hunk of junk. This would be my last Whirlpool. It will actually be cheaper to throw this thing out and buy a new one, since it won’t be the last time a coin accidentally makes it into the washer.
