On 2-26-13 I received my new Whirlpool Refrigerator, Model WRF989SDAE, KSN 4191832, 28.6 cu ft, french door for a price of $2500.00. November 2014, refrigerator stopped working. Though it was not under warranty any longer, the repair company advised me that the problem was a warranty item and repaired it at no charge. This process took several hours of work by the repairman and two visits. He advised that this is an issue with the refrigerator and Whirlpool is aware. Now, May 2015, only 6 months later, ice is building up on the back wall of the freezer and the freezer is running constantly and very loud. Bringing in repair person, hopefully before it stops again. Appears to be related to the initial issue. I cannot trust this refrigerator and would highly advise everyone not to purchase a Whirlpool refrigerator. Refrigerator needs to be replaced, not repaired.

I agree with all the unsatisfied customers with the Whirlpool Cabrio! Clothes do not come out clean! I called Whirlpool also and was told to be sure to place my clothes around the sides of the tub, which I always did. If Whirlpool was smart, they would take the complaints about the Cabrio and offer the customers a small amount of money towards purchasing another Whirlpool washer. I know I would have appreciated that. Instead Ill go out and buy another washer and not a Whirlpool. Even my kids dont want this washer and its practically new!

Purchased a new Jenn-Air JCD2295KES in 2007 when we remodeled our Kitchen.
Purchased a new Jenn-Air JCD2295KES in 2007 when we remodeled our Kitchen. Its been a decent fridge. When it quit a couple of weeks ago, I had the repairman come. He informed me that the HV circuit board was bad and sorry but they dont make them anymore. What, a 7yr. old fridge and thats it? I sort of expect things to have to be repaired or maintained but to have to throw it away because Whirlpool chose not to carry the parts any longer. I decided to scour the net and see if I could find this legendary board. Lot of places seemed to have carried it but could no longer get it from Whirlpool. I found a place that could supposedly repair them but after a few days, they called and said the microprocessor was not repairable.I contacted Whirlpool and they gave me a place that does obsolete parts and although helpful, I thought they were real opportunists and wanted to charge me considerably more for a reconditioned board that a new one would have cost if I could find one. I kept looking on the internet to no avail and when I called Whirlpool again I was getting pretty upset. Here I am with a 7-year old refrigerator and cant get parts for it, thats just not right. They were pleasant but basically their stand was sorry, theres nothing we can do. I told them that I bought a lot of appliances as I have quite a few rental properties. I cant throw an appliance away just because I cant get a part. It just doesnt make sense. I feel Whirlpool/Jenn-Air simply doesnt care. Im not interested in their excuses, I just want parts. I dont think it is unreasonable to expect to be able to obtain parts for at least a dozen years or maybe even a little more.I posed the question to them. Would you buy a $2000 refrigerator if you knew it would only run 7 years? The customer rep. said no she wouldnt. Well, Whirlpool, neither will I. I was unimpressed with their lackluster response and offer of a $300 rebate on a new fridge. I can find better deals than that on my own. I have purchased many appliance and always actually liked the Whirlpool line but Ill not buy any of them again. Shame on you Whirlpool for letting your customers down. Just because you can ignore me, doesnt mean you should. Im in business and I would go to the ends of the earth for a customer to make them happy. No wonder the Asian companies are kicking butt on the so-called American manufacturers. If your not going to get service you might as well go for the cheap price. On a final note, I did after two weeks of searching find a board hidden in a little appliance repair shop in Colorado. It should arrive here tomorrow and was priced $150 less than the reconditioned board that the gougers Whirlpool recommended. I believe it is the last board on the planet. Hopefully it will get my fridge another 7 years down the road and by then Whirlpool and its subsidiaries will have been sucked up by foreign companies and under a different label.

We got a DEAL for this nightmare for nearly $700 back in 2014. Nothing but problems. Constantly finding plastic pieces at the bottom... some identifiable; others not. They are from the cheap parts within. The control board lights (all but 1 works) went just after the 1 yr mark. We are now having to replace the top Rack Adjuster (MORE CHEAP PLASTIC), as it has been barely hanging on for the last year and a half... constantly fighting it, as it would drop all the dishes if you moved it wrong. Now, the water is not draining at all... period. We clean this religiously - always rinse dishes completely, use rinse aid, never stuff dishes. Today we find a random plastic piece, which we are now trying to identify. NOTE: we dont put plastics in the dishwasher. So, today a new plastic piece and major drain problems. We are in the market and purchasing a new French Door Refrigerator and Front Load Washer. Will NOT be going with anything Whirlpool. Not much better these days, but this name has a big RED NO for us. Made it even worse when we contacted for help after that 1 yr mark. NO HELP AT ALL.

Whirlpool Cabrio 8kg washing machine - Purchased this washing machine because of the size, water efficiency, no agitator. Have purchased Whirlpool products before and havent had a problem but this washing machine is absolutely a piece of garbage. At first our water bill was hugely excessive so tested the machine and it was using 269 litres per wash when it was only supposed to use 98 litre as stated on the machine. When doing 2 washes a day you can imagine the water bill we had. Lint on washing, continually out of balance no matter how much was in the wash. Had it fixed under warranty then just out of warranty. Water wouldnt turn off. Had to turn it on and off at the top lid. Could now be opened during washing cycle. Started turning itself on in the middle of the night and day. Had to unplug it to stop it, wont spin out clothes. Still sodden. After cycle finished with the lid open it would start to fill up with water again and going out of balance again. Had the appliance people out for the 4th time. Had to have the motherboard and a valve replaced. Its still leaving lint. Washing is not even getting wet so it cant possibly be cleaned. Contacted warranty people. They came out and said it is running as it should be but they advised us this is a common problem with this brand of washing machine. Personally I wish I could throw it away if I had another $900 to waste on another machine.

This is an ongoing problem. I have had to thaw the refrigerator (which takes over 24 hours). Then I blow out the drain with my air compressor, run water through, etc. The drain freezes up a good way down. It is a big pain in the **. There has to be a design flaw for this to continually happen. I paid for a repair man one time but he did nothing different from what I am doing. I cant afford the prices they charge. Shame on Whirlpool for making inferior products.

We purchased a Whirlpool gas range at Home Depot. After less than 2 years the oven would cut off and the time would start flashing. Check on other peoples problems and found out that I was not the only one. Called Whirlpool and the man on the phone told me I could have a problem with the circuit board. Said he could sell me a 1-year warranty to cover service and parts. I think the best thing to do is to buy another oven and not spend any more money on this junk. We purchased an Estate Washer for my 89-year-old mother in 2008. The paint has been peeling down to bare metal on the left top quarter from the corner down to the lid hinge for the past 2 years. I contacted customer service and was given probable causes, one of which was the washer might have gotten dusty! He said that could cause chipping. I reminded him the problem is peeling chunks, no chips, layers of paint. The warranty expired of course. The solution he offered was for me to buy paint from Whirlpool or Lowe’s, and paint it. I have had a Kenmore washer for 24 years. The paint is perfect, and it still runs great. I would never buy another Whirlpool product. The quality is atrocious.

Despite always using the designated (he) detergents and trying many different brands in appropriate amounts, this washer always leaves an ugly white residue on clothes. This happens all the time, requiring whole loads of clothes to be rewashed, sometimes more than once. This defeats the whole purpose of conserving water, which is reflected in our water bill. We also placed the laundry room on the second floor to make it easier for me with my disabilities. I am constantly having to climb the stairs when the machine gets unbalanced in addition to the extra loads from the residue. I was very excited to purchase this machine. Unfortunately, these feelings didnt last long.

Are there negative numbers for ratings? Horrible, to say the least. Whirlpool is the parent name for KitchenAid ovens. I have an electric oven and the glass on the front door exploded! Whats worse is that I have been given the complete run-around! I have called, wrote, waited, and tried ordering through other companies--still no luck! How does Whirlpool get away with this? It seems that Whirlpool no longer makes the part!! Do they really expect consumers just to replace an oven every few years? Poorest customer satisfaction I have ever experienced! This should be a consumer fraud grand suit, as there are numerous complaints about the same issue with Whirlpool appliances! Stay away from this company by all means!

I should have read reviews prior to purchasing the Washer and Dryer. The washer sucks big time. Does not clean clothes. Leaves soap in clothes. The repair man said use 2 tbsps. of soap. Still soap in clothes. I use 1 tablespoon of HE soap. 2 1/2 hours for 1 load because I have to use deep water and extra rinse on first wash. Then I wash again with no soap. I HATE this washer. Whites are now yellow after washing. Cannot do lightweight comforters. I am at the laundry mat more than using my new washing machine. Dryer is ok but does not remove any lint from clothes or towels. I always trusted Whirlpool. Not anymore.

Purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator model WRF560SEYM in June 2014. In February 2015 the ice maker had to be repaired because of a leak. Now in February of 2016 the ice maker and water dispenser are leaking. Because the warranty is one year, Im basically stuck with a refrigerator that sucks. Not only is the ice maker and water dispenser broken, the door sometimes doesnt shut properly and the shelving couldnt possibly be more cheaply made. This refrigerator is in a vacation home and has barely been used. I have purchased many Whirlpool appliances on the past and have never seen such poor quality in an appliance. The only thing Whirlpool can offer is sorry youre stuck!! No more Whirlpool for me!!

Whirlpool owned or bought out Maytag. My Maytag Washer (purchased a dryer also) was a disaster from day one. The previous set I owned (Maytag) was 20 years old when I decided to replace it. From day one, the washer literally walked across the floor while turned on (Maytag Performa). I had to sit there and virtually hold it down if I wanted to get my wash done. I called and called and they would eventually come out only to tell me that this was a substandard product from Maytag and I had better buy the extended warranty. After only 7 years, the washer completely stopped working and the dryer (Maytag) is falling apart. I purchased new Samsung washer and dryer and I absolutely love them. So you whine all you want about Samsung underselling you. I contacted you several times and all I received was lip service. I will never purchase a Maytag or Whirlpool washer and dryer and I’ll let all of my friends know about your terrible customer service!

I just replaced our Whirlpool Accubake Double Wall oven, model RBD305PDS14, because it fried the control panel after being put on self clean. This was the second time this has happened and I have probably only used the self clean feature three times since we purchased the oven. Im not a specialist in defective product design, but having a control panel burn up two out of three times when the self clean is used suggests a significant problem. I refused to pay to have it replaced again and obviously did not replace it with another Whirlpool product or any other brand associated with the company. I see that this problem has a long history dating back quite a few years with Whirlpool doing little or nothing to resolve the issue. (They just deny any knowledge about any defect in the design.) Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice shame on me!

I had to turn off the switch at the breaker box. If my wife had of been the only one home she would not have known how to turn it off and would have had to call the fire department. My landlord purchased a new Amana washer (NTW4605EW0) Labor Day weekend 201
My landlord purchased a new Amana washer (NTW4605EW0) Labor Day weekend 2015. It started having issues in the spring, so we went through the process of utilizing the manufacturers warranty. Apparently, Amana, part of Whirlpool, requires 5 attempts at repairing the machines before replacing. Okay, so starting in June 2016, we arranged service appointments 5 times and replaced 1 part, then another, 4 times. Clearly, that part is defunct. Right? Fast forward to September and then into October. Get a new washer, and not the one I preferred. We got the Whirlpool WTW4816FW1. Before the installers leave, we are having the SAME issue. Stops midcycle, doesnt finish cycle, sometimes stops while filling, or while full, or kid wash, or mid drain... But now with the new washer, the drain and spin cycle thinks it should FILL instead of drain... and Whirlpool said they would get someone out the next day, a promise they cannot keep because they dont supply the repair guy, they source with local companies. So, the company ordered 3 parts... That could be the problem. And 4 days later, 2 parts are on freaking BACK ORDER. Parts arrive. All new parts replaced. Machine still doesnt work. Outlet tested by us and them and it is fine. The techs think there is some kind of RF interference. Turn off sensor light, which is on the same wall, unplug power to wifi router (which outdates the washer). Still, doesnt work.I have spent half my week, every week, since June, restarting my washer, unplugging the damn thing, waiting, and waiting, trying again and again and again to wash 2 loads of laundry a week... Literally takes a week until the damn thing does its job. Whirlpool is sent us a replacement washer. Can you guess what happened the first time we started it? SAME ISSUE. Cycle will not complete. Sometimes it dies before it even fills. Sometimes it dies while filling. Sometimes, it will fill and fill and drain and fill and fill and drain and... never stop filling. Or, the fun one, the drain and spin cycle thinks it is suppose to fill. Continuously. And then, suddenly, after unplugging it for 1 hr, or 24, or 72 hrs, it will work fine for 1-7 cycles. Nothing is consistent except that it doesnt work consistently. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS MUCH TROUBLE???

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 6300 washer based off the salesmans recommendation (not very happy about this). After the warranty ran out, every time in the spin cycle, it makes a sound similar to a piece of metal banging around inside the cylinder during the cycle. Our friends have told us they had a similar experience and for their machine, they found out the bearings were going out. Weve had this machine a total of 3 years. December 23rd of 15 it goes out again. We called Whirlpool instead of a service company and the part was under warranty. We paid for overnight shipping but because of the holiday it was not guaranteed. We told them we are fine with Sat. delivery. In the meantime we had to cancel a holiday party scheduled at our house the 24th. We waited around all day Sat. for the part to show and nothing. Whirlpool Gold (Model No. GX5FHDXVY04), expensive French-Door style refrigerator , with bottom freezer pull-out drawer, purchased in 2010, has drain line that repeatedly blocks, causing frozen sheet of water on bottom of freezer and consequent leaking of water onto wood flooring (ruining said flooring). To add insult to injury, 5-year extended repair warranty I purchased specifically EXCLUDES drain lines, leading me to believe that this is a well-known problem that is costly to repair which is true because the drain line and pan on this particular model is nigh impossible to access without upending the unit (two people required) and accessing the bottom panel of the unit. This appears to me to be a design defect that Whirlpool should correct -- at its expense, not mine. I am currently reviewing possible courses of action, to include, but not limited to, BBB complaint and litigation.

Purchased on 04-26, professionally installed on 04-29 into a clean, large, well-ventilated area within the garage. Has turned itself off every day since then. Flashes code 10, screen is dirty... Pull the burner and the screen is clean. Called Whirlpool. They tell me to clean it again, so I do. This goes on for weeks... I can now pull the screen and clean it with my eyes closed. I get up a half hour early every morning to complete my water heater re-lighting procedure so my family can take a warm shower!!! Whirlpool gives me a phone number to a repair company. They tell me the repair person will have parts on the truck. I wait four days, guy comes out and says, You need a control valve.... did they send it to you? So I had to call Whirlpool back and order the valve... three more days... Very next day after repair, the thing shuts itself off again! I call Whirlpool and they try and push me off to the repair company, saying they are now responsible for the repair, but in the same sentence the tech says the heater needs a burner assembly. Okay, so you know it needs a burner assembly, but you ask me to contact the repair company to come out and fix it knowing they DO NOT have the parts on the truck? Only after I change my tone and raise my voice does she offer to send the part ahead of the repair appointment! In my opinion, Whirlpool has reached the top of a list shared by other mega companies like Bank of America and Time Warner Cable... Too bad the accolade is for the worst product and customer service. DO NOT BUY Whirlpool.

We purchased our new home in February of 2012 and found a good deal on a 6 appliance package from a local dealer (not box store). In these four years, had to replace igniter in gas range oven. Weve had 3 repair visits for the fridge, dead ice-maker, temperature imbalance freezing vegetables, meat drawer constantly falling off tracks, door shelf rails fall off and all shelf contents fall to floor. Dishwasher rinse dispenser has never functioned, never empties. Technician claims it is working as designed. Washing machine - 3 separate service calls. We finally decided to buy a different brand last year. Only the dryer and microwave have have performed as expected with no service calls. The package deal saved us about $500 but in just 4 years we have spent over $1000 (including $400 to buy a new washing machine). VERY disappointed in this brand.

I was not impressed with the new HE washers but could not find any traditional ones anymore. I bought a Amana and am disgusted that it is only 3 years old and needs to be replaced because of a transmission problem with it not agitating. It costs more to repair than it is worth. As a consumer, I should be given a choice whether I want to upscale or be satisfied with older model features. I will never buy or recommend a Amana HE washer to anyone. My mother also has one, has had it for a year and it is already giving her problems. Shame on you Whirlpool.

Rather than replace the heating element in my 15 year old Sears dryer, I opted to replace both my Sears washer and dryer with a new HE Whirlpool. It was the biggest mistake that Ive made. The washer does not have an agitator and the clothes turn into a twisted knot. Deodorant did not wash out of load of three sweaters. When I called tech support, the woman told me that the washer met specification. I suppose that means that it uses only limited water but has nothing to do with the cleanliness of the finished load. I was told by the repairman that future calls regarding unclean clothes would cost me despite a warranty that I purchased from Lowes. He suggested that I wash on using the Bulky Items setting and with a specific laundry soap. The setting provides more water but without the agitator, my clothing turns into a huge knot and comes out of the machine dingy despite washing loads for over 60 minutes at a time. My electric bill has gone up because I have to also add an extra rinse. The machine frequently become unbalanced. My dryers seal started loosening up two years after my purchase and finally became twisted in a sheet and ripped itself loose. Whirlpool has lost all future business with me.

Suddenly I get a person who sounds enthusiastic about customer service after a day of writing bad reviews on Lowes and Whirlpool sites and as many consumer review sites as I could find! I had even called Lowes corporate offices! A repairman is coming out tomorrow (after being told that one could not show up until September!) to check the NEW refrigerator that has frozen all of my produce and soften my frozen foods! I am 12 miles from the nearest town and took over half of my food for the month to the dumpster site today because it was spoiled. If you have a problem and no one has instructions to help you or is listening or even cares.....MAKE NOISE! IT WORKS. On 12/31/2009, I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio, model# WTW6800WW1. I was excited as we have never spent that kind of money on a washer. We felt as though we had purchased a higher end washer and would have it for years to come. Wrong! About one year in to its use, I began to think it was getting louder during the spin cycles. I thought I was just being critical and it was just my sensitive ears. Now just past the two-year mark, I know it was not me. It’s the POS washer. It is so incredibly loud, not that you cannot be in the same room as it is during the washing time especially the spin cycle. In its defense, my clothes got cleaned. However, I know that the bearing is eventually going to give out and I will have a mandatory repair on my hands or have to pay someone to fix it. Either way, it’s a lot of time and a lot of money to fix a two-year old washer that should not need to be fixed. I attempted at getting Whirlpool to stand behind their product. No chance, no way. Good luck with that. Their washers last about 2-3 years. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product. This is a horrible product which is matched by their horrible customer service.

We bought a house almost 10 years ago and it included a Maytag washer and dryer. About 5 years ago, we decided to buy the Whirlpool front loaders. What a mistake as the washer shook every time it ran. After several warranty service calls and days of vacation waiting for the service, they finally said they couldnt do anything. During that time I had been in contact with Whirlpool and asked for them to take them back. Of course they wouldnt. I asked for a swap for top load washer and they would need to also replace the dryer to match: still no deal. It took a letter from a lawyer to make it happen. They also bought back the washer and dryer stands which covered the lawyers costs. So shortly after I received the Cabrio washer and matching dryer, the lid is very heavy which I believe the lid spring broke. I refused to call the service company as I did not want to go thru that crap again. I also know I can fix it myself easier and without all the drama. I keep waiting for another failure but so far all is acceptable. Whirlpool is not the same company as they were when I made my living doing warranty service for Whirlpool! 30 years ago they were the best in the industry. The Maytag pair was giving to our relative and they are still working flawlessly. Unfortunately Whirlpool now owns Maytag. This experience has cost Whirlpool replacing our kitchen appliances. As much as I want to buy American, I will go with Bosch or LG only.

Cant wash a set of sheets without it getting out of balance, even if you carefully place them in the washer as they recommend. They knock up no matter what you do. The dryer is gas and my clothes still have to be turned back on for more time that should take. We are talking about over an hour. Ive had them just a few months but Ive had it. I want my washer and dryer to just do their jobs like you expect. Im selling them or donating them but whichever they are out of here. Whirlpool, I am ashamed of you. I purchased by first Whirlpool Cabrio washer in 2007 with an extended warranty (my husband did not want me to buy). Thank goodness I did. The machine had repeated issues to the point that the service repairman and I were on first name basis. Finally, the mother board went out. The rust on the sides was excessive and of course my expensive sheets and towels were being shredded. Lowe’s extended warranty plan did honor this and replaced my machine with a new Cabrio washer (big mistake!). The new machine; receipt for this was over $1,600.00, including the new extended warranty that ends in 2014, was bought on 3-25-09. It now requires a new drum and bearings which are being replaced today (9-19-12); however, the corrosion is just as bad and my clothes are still being shredded. Oh, also the lid no longer locks and to get the machine to actually run. I have to physically hold down the lid until the lid locks. The repairman said that there is nothing he can do as the company will not repair this or replace the machine again under warranty! The joints where the lid attaches have rusted through and that is why the lid cant lock. The whole lid needs to be replaced and the company says it would cost about the same as a new machine about $690.00. What a rip-off this company is for the consumer! I will never, ever deal with Whirlpool again and I mean never, ever again! (sans Taylor Swift)!

We bought a new Whirlpool gold gas stove. We had just finished redoing our complete kitchen, and thought it would be nice to replace appliances. I thought Whirlpool had a reputable name and good service record, but clearly, I should have checked. Three months after installing the stove, the handle pulled right off the door. We called the service tech who came in, took the door apart, and replaced the handle, but for some reason, installed different and incorrect screws for the door. Over the next 7 or 8 months, the handle pulled off twice more, and we repeated the cycle. At this point in time, we had been experiencing a situation where the stove would shut itself off. Bear in mind, it is less than 18 months old. Even now, the oven heats, and mid way through cooking anything, it decides to shut itself off. Clearly, there are issues with Whirlpool products, and when I called them, they want to do nothing about it. They jockey me around, from one service person to the next, frustrating me as I have to retell the issues to each new individual, and then they only tell me a replaced board, which would cost more than $600, is the way to go. Ive had this stove for 2 years, and it is seriously the biggest piece of garbage anyone ever put out on the market. Apparently there are no recalls on it, and so apparently, Whirlpool is more interested in ripping off their customers, than standing behind their product. I am currently seeking permission in a local paper to write a public service piece. I hope people will read it, and avoid this company at all costs. I hope whirlpool enjoys it. I dont know how they have turned a blind eye to all these complaints. As far as what I have read, with regards to other whirlpool problems, exploding glass, dangerous fumes, etc. They should be investigated, because what they are pulling off is criminal. If I want someone to steal from me, Ill leave my doors open, and let them come take me for what I have. I dont need to support a company that is stealing from me, while they wear smile on their face.

On 1/24/12, I replaced a 15 year old water heater that had started to leak
On 1/24/12, I replaced a 15 year old water heater that had started to leak after years of faithful service. The new Whirlpool unit heated water to a tepid level only, and that was obtainable only after running several faucets at a time, full bore. I used the product manual to trouble-shoot and was unable to find the problem, so I called Whirlpool customer service and was told that I would need to have a plumber come and and inspect the plumbing before a technician could be sent to check the water heater. I was not very happy about that, but complied. The next day, a plumber inspected the lines and fittings, tested the pressure and agreed that the problem was likely a faulty water heater. That cost me $95.00. I called Whirlpool again. This time, I was told that I should have had the plumber call Whirlpool while he was still at my home! The customer service representative agreed to authorize a service call, and I was given the phone numbers of three companies to choose from. Apparently, I chose wrong. The plumber seemed experienced and was very friendly. He was at our home for about 40 minutes, made a cursory inspection and said the problem did indeed seem to be with the unit, and he would return to his office to contact Whirlpool and arrange for a replacement unit and he would call back. Tellingly, I realize in retrospect, he did not give me a receipt. After several hours, I called the company and was told Whirlpool had not yet called them, and if I did not hear from them soon, I should call Whirlpool myself. This seemed reasonable to me, and I did so, at which point I realized I had been lied to from the start. The Whirlpool representative said that the service technician stated that he had run an isolation test, obtained hot water from the water heater, advised the homeowner (me) that the problem was in the plumbing, and I possibly had crossed lines. She also told me that the technician had said that he had difficulty making the homeowner understand what he was trying to explain. A complete and utter falsehood. I asked her how an isolation test was carried out, and that I would call the plumber to see what was going on, as this was not what we had been told. I was livid and called the plumbing company back just in case there was some honest mistake. Of course, there wasnt. I would like Whirlpool to be made aware that the company that they contract with is disreputable and has a history of deceitful practices. I found many negative reviews, and in fact the sort of treatment I received seems to be their modus operandi, no receipt, never a call back, assure the customer their problem will be covered under warranty, misrepresent the the service performed. The reason I add this last statement is that at no time was the new water heater disconnected, drained, refilled and allowed to return to operating temperature; the so-called isolation test a process which Whirlpool told me takes about two hours. This test did not take place. I previously stated that the technician was only at our home for forty minutes. There was no test of water temperature. I have since replaced my water heater with another brand--it works fine and there were no plumbing problems! I thought the name Whirlpool meant something. I have owned quite a few Whirlpool appliances over the years, in fact my new washing machine is Whirlpool. But I am definitely disinclined to purchase this brand again. I am so disappointed with the service I received from Whirlpool, a huge waste of time and money, and I am out $95.00 for nothing. I think Whirlpool should reimburse me for this, as the original (honest) plumber was correct. My water heater was defective and should have been replaced at that time. If it had been, you would probably still have a customer.

We purchased a Whirlpool washer/dryer set 19 months ago and the washer just stopped working. Our trusted fix-it man came out and diagnosed it as a spin bearing problem assuring me it was not anything we had done. He stated it was a defected part or Whirlpool had never put grease in the bearings. A 450.00 part not counting diagnosis and labor. When I called Whirlpool, the first response I got was that they were sorry but we didnt buy the extended warranty, and of course the warranty it had was only a year. I asked to talked to a supervisor and finally she agreed to supply the part, but I was still responsible for the diagnostic and labor fee, which will be a couple of hundreds of dollars! This washing machine has not worked well from the time I bought it two year
This washing machine has not worked well from the time I bought it two years ago. It never fills to the amount of water required to clean clothes, it is always off balance, so I need to adjust the clothes at least five times per load. I end up wringing my load out by hand. The clothes come out smelly and not clean. After the cycle is done all the clothes smell like mildew. The other night while doing a load, it made such a loud noise in the motor and started to shake up and down, and then moved forward, like it was going to take off or explode. I tried to do another load, but after it filled and started to agitate, it started to make a loud grinding sound and there were 25 minutes left, then the timer showed 26 minutes left, like the computer in the machine is messed up. I had to empty the water out, wring out a load of clothes including towels, exhausting. The worst part is that the machine is finally paid off, I am a single mother on a disability and I am stuck with this piece of junk. I felt desperate so I looked up Cabrio washing machines to try to figure out what could be wrong, and then I find all these negative reviews, and these owners all have the same issues. Why has there not been a recall, or a class act, who can afford to replace a $700.00 washing machine every three years. I also purchased the Cabrio dryer which cost over $700.00. I do not trust that it will be any better in the long run.I cannot rate this machine as it has been a nightmare from the start. White socks seemed to come out with more dirt than when I put them in, and I am sick of using bleach all the time, the fumes make me feel ill. This is not acceptable, obviously this item is defective, and a prominent company such as Whirlpool should take the loss, not all the victims that paid too much in the first place trusting that Whirlpool was a reputable company, I will never give them my trust or business again. I hope to hear from you, and if there has been a recall or class act legal actions, please let me know as I want to be involved.

Washing clothes is a nightmare. I am constantly removing clothing from the washing machine that have been torn and left with holes. I am utterly frustrated. Because the machine is more than three years old, there has been no solution to my problem. I have now replaced clothing items in excess of $2,000. I am always here that they will send a repairman and yet there is still the problem. This machine is costing me too much money. The newer machines have fixed the problem. There is no gap between the drum and the doorway or rubber piece. I want that piece to stop this nightmare. This machine has taken a dream of mine and demolished the experience. Without a doubt, the worst washing machine Ive ever owned. After 15 years, my trusty old Maytag finally quit, so we searched around and ended up purchasing the Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum 3 years ago. In that time, the hinge on the lid broke, and now it makes a deafening noise when spinning. We called a repairman and he said the bearings were bad and needed to be replaced... Total cost $275 plus $50 for fixing the lid. When we told the repairman that it was only 3 years old he couldnt believe it! We decided against fixing it because from the start it never got the clothes as clean as we were used to, and without the agitator post in the middle, which was a big selling point by the salesperson who sold it to us, the washer continually stops with an Uneven Load message. Large load, small load, it doesnt matter. You cant do a load of any size without the load becoming uneven. We are now searching for a new washer, and although I dont know what well buy, I can guarantee it wont be a Whirlpool.

I purchased a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator in Jan 2014. The first thing I noticed was the installers bought the appliance in without a box. The next thing I noticed was the door would not close unless you gave it a big push. While looking around at the hinges, I found 2 hairline cracks at the base of the refrigerator and 2 dents. I called Service and they sent a technician out. The technician told me they are going to want to epoxy this and you will see it. They asked did it get delivered in the box, I said no. I asked why, she said it should have been delivered in the container so you would know that it is new and not a rejected one from a customer. I called Whirlpool to voice my issue with having this epoxied. Kecia was the CSR...she said that is the normal repair for a crack. I told her I had a Kenmore refrigerator for 23 years and it was still functional when I bought this. I replaced it to get the energy savings. I told her I wanted the refrigerator replaced. I told her that the cracks tells a story about the quality of the appliance. I asked her what happens if these cracks expand after the year warranty expires. She said you can buy the extended warranty. I said but the existing warranty will not cover the cracks...what will the the extended warranty do? I asked if there were any recalls...she said no. I asked have there been similar complaints about cracks and dings (not that I thought she would answer yes). She said no unless someone had stepped on the base of it. I told her I lived alone and I definitely did not step on the base of the refrigerator. She got aggravated (almost to the point of being rude) and said Mam, no one said you stood on the base. I asked her repeatedly if there was someone else I could speak with. Her repeated answer was I am authorized to speak with you. She wouldnt let me to speak with anyone else. This washer started out to be good. Its only 5 yrs old. We began to smell an odor. Went to Lowes, spoke with someone in appliance dept. Purchased something for washer. DID NOT WORK. We have tried bleach everything. Our clothes smell. I have skin rashes and I think it is related to mold and mildew. Called the service center. They said could be a sock stuck around the tub area. They need to recall this washer. We spent a lot of money and it has ruined everything. Cannot get the odor out. We cannot afford another one. There is black mold around the rubber lining when you open up the door.

My wife and I purchased a new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer / Dryer set approximately three years ago and have had nothing but problem after problem with these units. Weve had multiple service calls, multiple parts replaced, and after dumping hundreds of dollars into repairs and service calls (even called Whirlpool and asked for some help with parts cost but was given the cold shoulder and was told, We cant help you), we are dumping these machines where they belong - scrap heap. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product and will tell anyone who will listen what garbage Whirlpool manufacturers are and absolutely pathetic excuse for customer service and the poorest of quality product. Whirlpool will never be in my familys home again and will never see another cent of my monies.

This flat top electric range has a cooktop large enough to accommodate several large cooking pots at the same time and is so easy to clean. A feature I love is the Keep Warm burner. The two front burners have 2 different heating ranges to accommodate small or large pots or pans. The self-cleaning convection oven heats evenly and provides 2 oven racks for maximum use. Whirlpool does it right every time.

My mom got me and my children a new fridge side-by-side ice maker. We were hoping that since it was new, we would have it for a while, but 1 year and 1 month later, it is not making ice and changes temp for no reason. My fridge will, most of the time, keep cold; but then, there are those days that it doesnt. No one touched the temp, and since its been more than a year, Im stuck. How wonderful to spend all that money for a year and one month! We dont have a working ice maker, and also, I cant keep food good. I cant afford to throw food away. And my mom and I cant afford to get another one.

Our dishwasher stopped working after 13 months. We are a family of 2 and use it once a week. We called Whirlpool and were told since it is past 12 months, they would do nothing but give us the name of a repairman in the area. We called our own repairman and $120 later, the sensor that had malfunctioned was replaced. Quite costly on a $450 dishwasher. Now, after 15 months, the handle on the lower broiler portion of my Range has come off and the screws will not hold because the plastic around them deteriorated. I just called customer service once again, knowing what I would be told and YES was told So sorry, nothing we can do. A new handle will be $45 plus shipping. We bought the refrigerator at that same time and every day, I wait for this appliance to have issues. In summary, Whirlpool/Maytag appliances are obviously made to be disposable after 12 months. They do not stand behind their products and I would not recommend them to anyone.

I bought a Kitchenaid dishwasher (It is owned by Whirlpool) from Trail Appliances. After 11 month the machine didnt work. It was under warranty. It took more than two months that they sent a technician to fix it. Less than one week after repair it broke again, same problem. Now we have to wait for another two weeks for technician to come. It is tough for us without dishwasher for such a long time. I learned Whirlpool is not a reliable company and I will never purchase products from this company any more.

Its an IKEA double wall oven. Top oven is convection, bottom oven is regular. The cost was half of what a single wall oven was at other stores. It is very simple without a lot of fancy timers and extras. Its great for cooking a very large meal when you need two ovens or have recipes that need different temperatures. I was able to shop entirely online to the store in another city and have the wall oven delivered for minimal charge. I dont mind paying more for better quality, but it seems increasingly hard to find. I purchased my no-name double wall oven from IKEA in 2010 for around $1000. That was almost half the price of a name brand single wall oven. Apparently the oven is made by Whirlpool. Self clean option works well. You cant beat it for putting on a great big meal where items require cooking at different temperatures. Both ovens are full size so you could cook a giant turkey and a ham at same time. Never had a problem with it either.

Whirlpool Washing Machine WTW4800XQ4 - This is an expensive piece of garbag
Whirlpool Washing Machine WTW4800XQ4 - This is an expensive piece of garbage. My clothes come out with lint still on them. They do not smell clean and in fact, I wonder if they even are. My blankets come out heavy and soaking wet, so much so that I have to repeat a rinse and drain cycle before I can place into the dryer. The machine is always off balance and its so loud that my almost deaf grandmother who cant hear a thing wants to know what that noise is when shes halfway across the house each time Im doing laundry. Ive called Whirlpool and they have sent a tech out who insisted it was I who did not know how to load a washer and that was causing all of the problems. I found this interesting since I am 37 and never encountered difficulty with a washing machine before. Our visit concluded when he insisted it was user error and went on his way. The next day, the washer was not even cycling, and I phoned whirlpool back. This time, there was a computer problem and there was no arguing about it. The technician came back out reset the internal computer. The machine seemed to run more quietly for about a week, but went right back to its old loud self. The only improvement Ive noted since then is it does not move across the floor now while washing. I wish I never bought this thing and would certainly never recommend it.

This microwave usually has great reviews but I think I just got a dud. I purchased this model (WMH53520CS-0) as part of my new home build. After 9 months the door sensor broke and anytime we would go to run the microwave, it would tell you to open/close the door. Whirlpool sent out a certified factory dealer to fix the problem. They found it to be a faulty control panel and replaced it. After that was replaced, the exhaust fan broke. Whirlpool sent out that dealer again with the new part, and everything was working perfectly. Flash forward a whole 24 hours later, and the microwave would make the loudest sound ever and shut off after 3 seconds and blow the fuse. Turns out the turntable motor had broke and the NEW control panel was already faulty. The turntable motor part was on back order for a month and I am still currently waiting for it to be shipped to me while I have a microwave shut off collecting dust. As most anyone would be, I was extremely frustrated knowing that Whirlpool has spent at least 4 times more sending out certified dealers and replacing parts, than if they were to just order me a new microwave. They stood firm on their policy even if it meant a customer without a working microwave for over a month. Whirlpool did offer me a nice $75 debit card that took 4 weeks to arrive to help pay for a temporary microwave, but they would not work with me when I asked for the warranty to be extended 3 or 6 months. I wanted that peace of mind and its frustrating that for 2 of my 12 month warranty, the microwave was completely broken.Overall, its a nice microwave when its working but with all I have had to go through, I wouldnt recommend this model nor any Whirlpool appliances...

We have bought Whirlpool washers for over 40 years. When our last one only lasted for three years they convinced us to spend more money over 1000.00 witha purchase of a 5 year warranty 6 days over the warranty. It is junk. The bearing went out costing 600.00. They graciously offered to sell me another washer. WOW, everyone is sorry that we have this problem BUT you are out of luck. Are they kidding? Now water leaking out the bottom. Called again, on hold, then on hold again to be transferred to tech support. Yeah, right. No tech support. We are having our second major issue with our Whirlpool Refrigerator Model WRF757SDEM but unfortunately at 1-1/2 years old, it is out of warranty. Although the certified repairman says that the issue with the thermostat is a known issue and the company created a whole new part to fix the problem, there is no recall. Customer service was lousy. They deny any know issue (again, they created a new part they will sell us to fix the issue) and they mocked us for not buying their warranty after having the first problems with their fridge. This new problem will cost over $300 to fix. Why is there no recall if they knew about the issue?

Updated on 02/13/2021: Company fails on customer service. My stove’s trim is rubbing off on my Whirlpool stove only 6 months old. No chemicals were ever used to clean the surface. This trim piece surrounds the controls and is not covered under warranty. An expensive cheaply made stove. Multiple attempts to have the piece replaced got nowhere. A letter sent to the head office was deferred back to customer service. Whirlpool has lost credibility and I will no longer buy their products.Original Review: So disappointed to find the paint finish coming off the trim on my 8 month old Whirlpool range. No harsh cleaning chemicals were used. Only mild dish soap and a microfiber towel. The trim, attached to the control panel on the front of the stove, is not actually stainless steel, but painted to look like stainless steel. Whirlpool warranty doesnt cover esthetics and refused to replace the trim, stating replacement would include the entire control panel and it is not covered under warranty. So be prepared to have your new expensive stove look old in a matter of months.

My daughter bought a mobile home manufactured by sunshine mobile home co. in Red Bay al. The home is only 6 mo. old. In that home there is a Whirlpool microwave oven model # WMH2175XVB-1 Serial # TRY 20 23398. After 2 months my daughter microwave stopped working, Whirlpool sent a repair man out to fix it. He didnt have the parts to repair it so he left to order some parts that he thought might be the problem. When the repairman returned two weeks later with the parts, he replaced a door switch. The oven started to work. About 4 days later it quit working again. The repairman returned for the third time, tried repairing the oven and was unable. I had to help him remove the oven so he could take it home with him so he could try to repair it. At that time I was so angry that the Whirlpool co. would send a repair man out three times to repair something that was obviously junk. When I talked to the people at Whirlpool they told me all they were authorized to do was repair it. I explained the repairman has tried three times and couldnt and that they in good faith replace the unit. The answer I received had to come from a mentally challenged person. If this is the response of Whirlpool about their product, then I want no part of them in the future.

Our Whirlpool refrigerator has been an extraordinary kitchen appliance, it may even be 28 years old. The ice maker worked until just four years ago and thats amazing. Its never been serviced and never needed a repair. I dont know what one can say about something thats worked so flawlessly. This seems a little bit trivial when considering the cost of a new appliance, but the plastic veneer on the handle had fallen off and needed glued back on, but thats about it as far as maintenance and repairs go. Overall its been an ideal purchase and I wish wholeheartedly all my purchases were as good as our whirlpool refrigerator.

I replaced a 4 year old Whirlpool dishwasher with a new Whirlpool dishwasher on 01/18/2019. July 2020, dishwasher failed. Finally got Whirlpool to send out a repair technician and was advised that the sump and motor had failed. This is after only a year and a half. Whirlpool will not back their product because I did not send another $200 for a service plan. So basically whirlpool cant even guarantee that their product will even last a year.My 4 year old dishwasher had the same issue which is still unacceptable. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator that almost burned down my house and just replaced a failed Whirlpool stove with a Samsung. I wish I could say what I am replacing this dishwasher with, but I am too frustrated to even look for a replacement after only a year and a half. Replacement parts will cost $250 just for me to do it myself. Do yourself a favor and research the product. Should you spend more? I cant answer that. I have seen 20+ year old Frigidaire dishwashers still working. I honestly dont know what brand to get, but I do know that I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again, and neither should you.

I bought a top of the line Whirlpool front load washing machine (WFW97HEDW0) and drier with my new construction house. After a few months the washing machine began making a loud, banging noise during the spin cycle. Then about a month before the 1 year was up the unit broke and dumped all the water in the drum into the catch pan it was installed on. I called for service and someone showed up in about 3 days. The tech opened the unit and found that the plastic/composite drum the spin unit was contained in split in half all the way around. The tech exclaimed he had never come across this issue and would report in what he found but that he did not have the part and it would most likely be a whole new unit but that its up to whirlpool to make the call. I would find out that whirlpool had decided that the unit can be fixed and they have ordered the part and would call to schedule the repair.A week went by, with no word. I called warranty service company, Via Services, and they tell me that the part is on back order and that it would be two more weeks before it would come in. Now were looking at being without a washing machine for a month. I communicate this to the builder and they somehow get whirlpool to come out a week earlier than they said they could. The day came for the repair and two techs take nearly 8 hours to repair the unit (how is this efficient?).After the repair the unit ran with an odd noise that I attributed to the way it was stacked. A month goes by and two days after the 30 day repair warranty I go to do a load of laundry and the unit turns on but wont run. I called for warranty work because it was clearly not repaired sufficiently. I schedule a tech visit which is for a week after. The day come and the tech says he cant fix the unit without charging me for the repair because it is now out of warranty and if I have the extended warranty then I need to set that up with the extended warranty group. I send him away because I had just paid for the extended warranty. I called whirlpool for the extended warranty work and they schedule a repair contractor to come out in 3 days. The repair contractor calls me directly to confirm if the unit is side by side or stacked. I let them know that the units are stacked and they say they cant repair it because its a two tech job and they dont have enough techs. They send me back to talk to whirlpool. Whirlpool then notifies me that because its stacked I have to either unstack it myself or hire someone to unstack it for me. Well, I cant unstack the unit by myself and why should I have to pay someone to unstack it when thats what the unit was designed for? At this point I am going back and forth with the builder to get a refund so I can replace the unit. I will forever steer clear of any whirlpool or subsidiary products. The products are flimsy and the service is no better.

I purchased my new Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load washer to replace a Maytag that had finally given out in the summer of 2012. I wish I did more due diligence, but with a toddler and a newborn, I needed a washer asap. I severely regret my $800 purchase from Sears. It is now February 2013 and the machine basically only runs on two cycles - Casual and Normal. All the others stop in mid-cycle. Sometimes, the items are still dry or partially wet so I need to switch to another cycle to complete the wash. This is not good for Delicates or when I wash Whites, Heavy Duty or Bulky items which is one of the reasons I purchased the model. The cycle stops when the items are soaked with massive amounts of water. So I then have to turn it to the Drain cycle and start over. After a day of washing one load, I couldve done it the old-fashioned way in my utility basin sink and hung it out to dry ... I dont have the time for this. I am going to make a formal complaint to Whirlpool and to Sears. I cannot keep spending nearly $1,000 for items that break within a year. These companies should be ashamed of their lack of quality. I shouldve gone with the Electrolux and just dealt with the price tag - I wouldve been much happier.

Purchased a new Twin Thin washer & dryer combo when I first moved into
Purchased a new Twin Thin washer & dryer combo when I first moved into my new apartment two-years ago since it was a good fit for the space that lies inside my patio. Nothing BUT problems from day one since it DESTROYS/EATS your delicate clothing. Repairmen in and out could find nothing wrong with it. The problem lies in the fact that the so-called gentle cycle agitates at the same rate as the other cycles, but stops so that the agitation time is shorter, but at the same time the agitation no matter if its shorter is still too vigorous for delicates. Under contract, so keep having repairmen come at no cost to me other than a complete waste of money purchase inclusive of unwearable brand new RUINED clothing.Called the company the other day & was told they could SELL me a different one, but they would probably not pay to have the LEMON removed. Also, suggested I wash my delicates in a mesh bag which is impossible to do when one has maxi dresses that tell you to wash on the delicate cycle. Mesh bags are made for small items - DUH!Repairman came again today, and was kind enough to make call to them. Later found that their response to him was that I was putting too much into the washer. Like no way, Jose! Asked tech to forward e-mail to them advising that they were more than welcome to come film me when I wash because that was NOT the problem with it. Already knew Whirlpool had discontinued this washer/dryer combo, but THAT fact was never mentioned. A lot of sites online no longer even carry the parts for it. Found others with the same issues on various sites relating to this now discontinued model which is akin to a Purana fish with shark fins. E-mail sent to tech that was here today asking him to forward my e-mail to whomever he made contact with today via phone that unless the situation is remedied that I would have to take further action. Now awaiting response from the main man tech or whatever his position is at Whirlpool.Bottom line is that it is a LEMON that has not only cost me money, but excessive amount of time to resolve this issue not to mention time spent online researching this, that and the other concerning this discontinued appliance. Warning to all out there - DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL - UNLESS YOU WANT A HASSLE and a lot of BS. Found they already have an extreme number of lawsuits against them during my online searches. So, ball is in their court at the present time. Will be calling them the end of the week once again in order to get this problem resolved unless I hear from them via e-mail.Totally exhausted from it all. Word to the wise: DO NOT waste your money on Whirlpool appliances unless you want more problems than you already have. I have health problems which are exacerbated by stress, and believe me this has been one of the most stressful and one of the longest things to resolve (two years) brought on by their lack of admittance that this DISCONTINUED product is a real LEMON. BUYER BEWARE OF WHIRLPOOL - I rest my case.Updated on 07/12/2018: Cant seem to find this model anywhere now. Not to mention the fact that I found it not only eats my delicate clothing, but is also ruining my towels, etc. and I use the regular wash cycle for these items. You cant find my model #WET4024EWO anywhere; looked like they put a similar one out with a slightly different model # in which the drum/agitator differs from mine. Now find Im having difficulty finding that NEW stackable model on the WEB. Leaves me wondering if that one has also now been discontinued???They have given me no resolution to my problem as of yet, and Im totally EXHAUSTED from it all. Have high blood pressure, a heart condition, and cant even sleep right anymore due to their lack of cooperation to solve this on-going problem which is certainly not helping any of my medical conditions either. Its causing nothing but STRESS, STRESS, STRESS and more STRESS! Will be filing a complaint with The Better Business Bureau by next week if not resolved by this weekend (if I live that long).Updated on 07/17/2018: In looking at this Washer/Dryer Combo Model # WET4024EW aka LEMON again today after noticing more clothes which now have holes in them after being washed on the gentle cycle with the highest water level possible, I noted the size of the agitator. Bottom line on this is that the agitator also appears TOO LARGE for the machine which also could also be another contributory factor to the destruction capabilities of this now discontinued model. Also, inspected towels today and found torn stitching & thread tearing in those also; appears EVERYTHING you wash in this machine gets destroyed. In researching further on their newer makes noticed that the agitator appears either much smaller or has been removed altogether. Hopefully this will serve to aid anyone out there who is thinking of buying this machine second hand from anyone out there that is attempting to sell it vs obtaining restitution from Whirlpool.

Whirlpool Cabrio - I have had the same experience as those others that have written reviews - over $1,600.00 (on sale) - approximately 3 years old and I was just informed by a service repairman that water has leaked from the center of the tub into the motor and it is trashed. I went to the Whirlpool website to chat with a representative and they are sorry but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee there will be no repairs or parts replacements needed as components do deteriorate or fail on occasion due to factors over which we have no control - they went on to say that since the washer is approximately 3 years old there would be no assistance that we would be able to provide toward repairs. I agree that a class action suit should be considered since Whirlpool is taking no responsibility for a machine that costs too much - makes your clothes smell and lasts for such a short time. Highway robbery!! The dryer is no better but at least it is still working (today anyway!).

My new ACCU-BAKE oven was not baking properly. Always uneven results. Finally called for service, just in time before the warranty expired. The service rep informed me that I had not bought a convection oven. Well, duh! Of course, I knew that! He tested the temperature levels inside the oven and found a variance of 10 degrees Celsius, which he reported by phone to the company. He advised me to reach into the oven half-way through any baking process to turn my cake around, and it would bake evenly. I asked him if he had ever tried that himself. No, he said, he was not a baker. That was the end of the service call. No follow-up, no service. Today I learned that the company actually has this exchange in its records, but if I want to get the oven to work properly Ill have to pay for service, as the warranty has expired. I wonder what would happen if I ever tried the self-clean or Sabbath mode features on this oven.

March 18, 2018. I was called today to inform me that the right front burner on my new stove Model # WEG745H0FS0 (ordered in early September and not delivered until mid-October from Menards) was not operating properly. The flame was noisy and yellow. I inspected it and found that the front burner base was substantially damaged by heat. See photo (Whirlpool stove part damage1). On inspection of the other front burner base, I discovered early signs of the same problem. (Note changes on burner base on the left of the photo.)In this photo (Whirlpool stove part damage2.JPG), you can see the damage to the burner base and also see some changes on the 3 to 5 O’clock position on the burner base on the left of the photo. This stove is less than 6 months old. The fact that the burner parts can be melted indicate poor design and danger to the owner/operator of the stove. Further, the operators manual for the stove I bought does not include any information on the model I have. It has pictures of the range top similar to mine but the model number is completely different. In addition to this, the Aqua-Lift Technology for cleaning the oven is completely ineffective. This is noted in several other reviews of this equipment. The problem noted by the other review became obvious the very first day I tried to use this range. A 2 cup pot spilled all over the cooktop as soon as I put it on the grate.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator January 2016. 4 months later the refrigerator stopped working. It took over a week for Whirlpool to have it repaired. Two weeks later the refrigerator stopped working again. It took four days for Whirlpool to get a repair man to my house. I called customer service 4x asking for a replacement or loaner or possibly they could expedite the repairs. All they could do was recite my warranty to me stating that they are only responsible for repairs. I was in touch with their executive office and was pretty much told tough patooties - my warranty only covers repair. The executive office told me to wait for a third breakdown and then we could talk about an exchange. WHAT??? I have to suffer a third inconvenience before Whirlpool will do anything??? I lost hundreds of dollars in food, have to live two weeks without refrigeration in 95 degree Florida weather, had to go shopping on a daily basis or eat fast food (at my expense) because I couldnt even keep milk for breakfast cereal. I filed a claim with BBB only to have Whirlpool close the claim stating that they fixed the refrigerator.

If I could give them zero stars I would. NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL GAS WATER HE
If I could give them zero stars I would. NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL GAS WATER HEATER! Our Whirlpool water heater Is 4 years old. Pilot light wont stay lit. A reputable plumber came out and said that the control knob is bad and to call Whirlpool to get part because its still under warranty. So I call and get nothing but a hassle. They tried to tell me that it was installed in a room that the installation manual says it not to be in. (Background here. The house was built in 1960. It is on a cement slab and its a prefab house.) The manual says Do not install in bathrooms, bedrooms or any OCCUPIED room normally kept closed. Now let me tell you where it is at. It is in a 5 by 3 boxed area with cement floor and walls to the ceiling with access doors to it and to the furnace which is also in this area. The access door to water heater is on the back side of a bedroom closet, access door to furnace is in a hall. So Whirlpool tells me that they cant give me the part Even if I pay for it due to some national fuel and gas code. They wont even tell me where I could buy the part... They said the only way they can help me is if I relocate the water heater or put in a ventless water heater. Our water heater is vented thru the roof of house... It gets plenty of ventilation. They wouldnt let me talk to a supervisor to complain... So this is why I am on here writing this review. I might add this is not our first issue with Whirlpool. Had a brand new KitchenAid refrigerator with ice maker. The ice maker didnt work from first day. After 3 techs and 3 visits it still doesnt work. Then also the compressor went out. If you want a better product and want good customer service then dont buy Whirlpool.Oh and one more thing. Our plumber also doesnt like Whirlpool. He said he had problems every time when he has to deal with them. He said its to the point when someone calls for services and tells him its a Whirlpool he just cringes. Now thats pretty bad. I just spent 4 almost 5 hours of my morning upset to the point of tears. With no results. Another note. I called my gas company. They said our water heater is in a safe place. If it wasnt they wouldnt be supplying gas to us. Live and learn. Done with Whirlpool.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine April 2016. I was so excited
I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine April 2016. I was so excited to have a new washing machine. I thought the 1st couple times I used it I just didnt have settings right. It uses so little water it doesnt get all clothes wet. If they are not wet they cant be clean. So I started doing very small loads. Then clothes were not clean. They stink. So I have tried every detergent out there. Nothing helps. Another thing it takes an hour or longer per wash to get not so dirty clothes. Not to mention it puts holes in my towels. I tried reaching out to Lowes where we bought it only less than 4 months ago only to be told they would contact Whirlpool. Whirlpool wanted to send tech that I would have to pay for just to tell me that the piece of crap washing machine is doing everything the manufacturer made it to do. I told him I was not going to pay so. I think with all the problems people there should be a class action lawsuit. DO NOT BUY CABRIO!!!

We wanted the ease of use and longevity of a top loader WITHOUT a full touc
We wanted the ease of use and longevity of a top loader WITHOUT a full touch screen. Whirlpool has such units in a choice of price levels to accommodate most everybody. The agitator free design and automatic water level feature is amazing. Clothes are nice and clean and uses about the same amount of water as flushing a toilet.

After having an expensive front loader (ugh) we purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio top loader (wow)! Best washer ever owned, wouldn’t trade it for any on the market! It has been as great and problem free as the front loader was terrible with cleaning and smell.
