This product is JUNK!! We replaced out hot water tank 1-07-11. Worked good for almost 9 months. Then the pilot light keeps going out. We have replaced everything three times already. Now we cant get it lit for nothing. Its blinking 7 times!!! This should not be happening. When you call Whirlpool, you always get some smart ** rep trying to solve your problems over the phone, telling you what its doing. Excuse me, your not here with it, I am. I even had the plumber on the phone, he got so mad at them, he handed me my phone back and said he is not dealing with stupid. They have no clue what they are talking about!! Its crap that we have to pay $30 for them to express mail a part when its the middle of the winter and we have no hot water. Im at my wits end with this hot water tank. Im ready to sue their butts. Sounds like to me by reading all these reviews, a lot of people are having the same issue. We need to do something about this. They had a suite against them but not for my water tank. They were replacing the parts. Ive spent over $1000 from buying it new, having it installed and paying for repairs on the hunk of junk!!!What can we do??? We need to take a stand against Whirlpool. We need to exchange information and contact an attorney and make them pay!!

I am very reluctant with online product feedbacks. But here is one story that needs to be told. I purchased a Whirlpool 3D Split AC 2 years back (and hence the product is out of warranty). The product quality is so bad (and unreliable) that within 2 years the coils in the Outdoor Unit have started to leak. When I requested for service visit the technician (so called) came over and did a wet service and took the fee (without an invoice). And assured that the AC would start to work fine. Within a week we realized that the AC is not cooling enough. Again a service visit was called and this time the technician (supposedly) diagnosed the above problem. The repair cost told to me is to the tune of Rs 10,000/- for a product cost of Rs 36,000/- (or so) bought just 2 years back. Does anyone in Whirlpool understand what QUALITY means??? Does anyone understand VALUE FOR MONEY... This aside I have a 2 Tonne Whirlpool AC, 350 l Whirlpool DD refrigerator and a Washing Machine... I think its time for Move over WHIRLPOOL and HELLO MITSUBISHI, BOSCH, HITACHI... End of a great consumer brand...

We purchased a Whirlpool unit Mod#WRF535SMBM from Home Depot in Bluffton, SC. Frost and ice build up in bottom freezer of our Whirlpool unit. We have had 4 service calls since our purchase of the unit in Dec 2014 (April, May, June and Sept) with one freezer door replacement due to a faulty door liner and soon to be a second freezer door replacement due to lack of insulation in the door, along with the door slides. Each service call visit is by a different service company. The other issue is the unit is advertised as S/S. This is the first time I have had a magnet stick to S/S so I figure that the outer shell is a mere coating of some sort and not a quality S/S product.

I purchased a 50 gallon Whirlpool water heater, model FG1J5040T3, in November, 2005, and have had the same experience as reported by the hundreds of others, whose comments I have been reading. Basically, pilot wont stay lit. I called Whirlpool, relight the heater, when it doesnt relight, wait to receive repair parts, call a plumber, and pay to have them install it, then repeat same problems. Each time going for a week or so, without hot water. After relighting the heater 10 times in the past year, and service calls, Whirlpool authorized me yesterday to return it to Lowes, and get a replacement. I need to hire a plumber to unhook it, haul it to Lowes, get the new one, and install it. It cost me about $300 to $400. Will the replacement be any better? I am considering just replacing the heater with one made by Rheem.

I am on my 3rd refrigerator from Whirlpool. The first one lasted 8 years, the second one lasted 6 years, and now the 3rd one has only lasted 4 years. This is just too much money to pay for a supposedly nice quality product and it go out as the warranty goes out. The second we had to replace the icemaker 3 times and a compressor. Now the 3rd is not cooling.

I purchased Whirlpool electric hot water tank in May 2011 (model no. EEZ80HD055V). The water tank was working fine for four months. It does not work anymore. I tried to get a hold of Whirlpool customer service. But I couldn’t get a hold of customer service at 877-817-6750. It is motel business without hot water. We could not open the business. We tried the best we could, but there is no contact or support from Lowes or Whirlpool. We have no other choice other than replace the hot water tank. We tried to find the right phone number to explain the situation to Whirlpool customer service rep.

I would have thought that there would have FINALLY been a recall on this oven. I am a senior who thought this stove would last me for the rest of my life. After months of careful research and comparison, I finally bought a pricey
After months of careful research and comparison, I finally bought a pricey (over $2K) Whirlpool refrigerator with a bottom freezer and French doors with water dispenser on top. I really did not want any fancy features, just narrow doors because of my small kitchen, and a fridge on top because of my back pain. Since the date of purchase in May, 2014, I have had 4 service calls. The first was covered under warranty, but no cause of the sheet of ice collection and underside water leakage was identified; I did, however, receive a somewhat patronizing lecture on the importance of thorough reading and comprehension of the owners manual, and a statement that most of my service calls are for customer education. A follow-up service call, a few weeks later and also covered under warranty, identified the cause of the ice collection and water leakage: a faulty duck bill little piece of plastic in the drainage system that is a problem well known to Whirlpool. In mid-June of 2015, the ice maker had to be replaced, to the tune of $360.00. Today, I had a service call ($103.00) and received an estimate of $405.50 to replace the broken freezer drawer slides, which prevent the freezer drawer from fully closing. I will be applying that $405.50 to the purchase of the simplest model, non-Whirlpool refrigerator available, and have the Whirlpool hauled away. Besides the problems noted above, the center of the refrigerator freezes the food, while the freezer compartment arbitrarily defrosts. There are alarm icons that go from blue to red to alert you of the need to replace the (expensive) ice and water filter, refrigerator air filter and crisper freshener. Alarm bells ring to inform you that the doors have been open too long, but nothing alerts you to the fact that the freezer door is not completely shut, or that the freezer has gone into defrost mode because someone inadvertently brushed up against the control panel and changed the settings, or that water is pouring freely out from underneath the appliance. I have had to change my buying habits because fridge holds at least 15% less food, even though it is the same cubic footage as my previous (top freezer) one. Freezer contents easily slip down behind the top freezer drawer and jam the door open. I have to take most frozen boxed items out of their original containers and pack them flat in freezer bags to get enough storage. Some tall bottles do not fit anywhere in the refrigerator compartment, and have to get put in sideways. Even in the absence of mechanical problems, using this refrigerator is like packing and unpacking a suitcase many times a day. While Whirlpool customer service personnel were not overtly rude, there were dismissive and condescending overtones in some of the questions and directives I received from them, and another insinuation that service calls would not be covered under warranty if they end up being for the purpose of customer education. The extended wait (7+ days) for appointments with a Whirlpool-certified appliance repair company, along with the customer education exclusion, were absolute deterrents to the purchase of the extended warranty. Besides my personal disappointment and disgust with the purchase of this appliance, I am sad to see that the Whirlpool brand has slipped so far in product design, quality and customer support.

This fridge is very spacious in the fridge area. The freezer area is larger than a model with freeZer on top or a side by side model. The black stainless steel is very attractive and doesn’t show fingerprints. The controls for the fruit and veggie drawers are cheap. The drawer for meats and cheese is huge. Overall I like this fridge.

I purchased a new Whirlpool top load washer and dryer in 2012. I heard all kinds of crazy stories about all the new machines, so I tried to stay with the regular top load style. About 6 months ago my machine seems to have lost its mind! It forgets where it is in the cycle and pulls hot water when it should be cold and the washing machine has even overflowed all over my laundry room floor. I tried unplugging it, but thats just a temporary fix, it goes right back to its antics! I had my last washer and dryer for over 12 years. Im really upset that I spent a small fortune on this machine and now it needs repairs! Repairman is scheduled for next week. I will never buy Whirlpool again! JUNK!!!!

I have always had Whirlpool Everything - not anymore!!!! I purchased a water saver washer that I am very unhappy with - it does not get the clothes clean. I have to put it on an extra rinse (water saver?) to get the soap out. I use the Tide for HE washers. I cannot wash a large load in it - directions say I can. Anything too heavy or bulky will not spin out well. Will bounce all over the place. From now on I will switch to another brand. They push so hard to buy a warranty because they know you will have trouble! Should have read the reviews!!

Cant contact anyone one from Whirlpool on a weekend and Trail Appliances doesnt have anyone available to come and look at it and if they did it would cost us another $100+ with no guarantee and we were told by Trail the Whirlpool will not touch it if someone else does. From what I have read seems we now a victim of Whirlpool. P.s. for those who dont know yet Whirlpool not only now owns Bastemp, they also are the makers of Kenmore and those fridges have experience the same ice issues.

It was a water leak from the dishwasher appears to be from seal when water cycle leaves unit. This has caused over 70k damage to our home. Ruined entire hardwood floor kitchen cabinets warped so all need replaced. Our insurance company has made a disaster after owning home 10 years. Custom cabinets that match the laundry room as well. No to mention. The jackhammer used to bust up 800 sq foot of flooring and the concrete dust in our entire home. Please advise recourse.

When I first bought this machine I loved the big tub, but I was concerned that there was no agitator. It confuses me how clothes can get clean if there is nothing to rub them again. Even in the olden days they rub clothes against a board. Well my concern is valid and I believe the washing machine industry needs to go back to the old model, as this new version does not work. Here are all the problems: 1) The machine judges how much water to put in. This doesnt work. I follow the directions and outline the perimeter and dont overload, yet still it just barely puts in enough water to make the clothes wet. Im all for conserving the environment, but enough water needs to be provided to actually get the clothes clean. I would like to be the judge of how much water should be used, so I would like to be able to tell the machine if it is a small, medium or large load. I do believe that the lack of enough water is why the clothes do not come out as clean as they should and why they end up smelling (see #4). 2) There is no agitator, so there is really nothing available to help clean the clothes. Spinning them around like a maniac is not enough, which leads me to the next problem. 3) The clothes come out twisted terribly and then many times come out of the dryer wrinkled because of how hard they were twisted. I tried to select a less harsh spin cycle, but then the clothes are too wet to put in the dryer. There is no happy medium.4) Biggest problem to date: Our clothes/towels have all started smelling. You know that smell when you leave your clothes in the washer too long (like two days) and then put them in the dryer? Its that smell. The clothes/towels dont smell when you immediately take them out, but they do smell at any bit of moisture. When I dry myself off after the shower, I notice the newly washed bath towel smells like a wet dog. I have used the pods, liquid detergent and powder. I dont remember having the smell problem when I first bought the machine and used powder, so I just returned to using powder today. (Ive even tried doubling up on the pods, but the clothes still smell.)This leads me to problem number 5: When using powder in this machine, the machine does not empty the powder container completely, and so the clothes do not get the required amount of detergent. Often there are clumps left over in the powder dispenser, but not always. (This is what led me to go to the pods and liquid detergent in the first place.) But at least with powder (I use Gain) my towels dont stink after the first time I used them.I wouldnt recommend this machine. I really researched machines before I purchased this one, but they all had bad reviews, so how do you pick? And I never look at the good reviews because we all know so many people are paid to rave about products they know nothing about, or it is a company employee writing the review. This machine is a huge disappointment. I am going to try adding a rinse cycle like a previous reviewer suggested. Maybe the extra water will help with the smell. Of course this is not good for the environment though, so this whole way of making washing machines with no agitator and limiting water defeats the energy efficient goal.

I am in construction and have had to deal with failed motherboards on new Whirlpool fridges that we put in some rental properties. Knowing that, when I went to buy a fridge for my own house, I went to a very reputable appliance company and talked openly about getting a fridge that wasnt going to be a problem. My sales agent and I go back always and he was very open about the problems with the more gadgeted Whirlpools so we picked a low bells and whistles French door fridge to avoid that. It stopped cooling at about the same age as all the rental units did and had a control panel fail. The sales guy and I laughed about how even knowing about the issues I didnt avoid it. Their company came out and fixed it for just short of 300 bucks. Two months later, it stopped cooling again. The service tech came out and this time hit the side of the fridge with his hand and opened a relay getting it to work, at least for another week. The tech told his boss that I must not have shut the freezer causing it to go into defrost mode. The third time it failed, we were out of town and lost all our perishables. We had the same tech come out and replace the board he got to work the last time with a whack to the side of the unit. That board should have been under a parts warranty for 90 days but I may have missed that with the slap repair working for the additional 2 weeks.Im trying to put this behind me but Whirlpool sent me an Extended Warranty Plan opportunity. I can now buy a plan on an almost 3-year old fridge. I am wondering if they are trying to give me the hook up on a bad product or just hoping to prey off my fears and cash in. The company I bought the appliance from has been first rate but their hands are tied by Whirlpool who has virtually no support for their vendors. Before buying a Whirlpool, consider a Sub-Zero. After you figure in the repairs, they arent too far apart in price.

We purchased our washer approximately six months ago. It is an energy-efficient top loader without a central agitator. If I wanted a washer just for lingerie then I would be satisfied. But I need a washer that will clean farm clothes. My husband works hard and his clothes show it. This washer does not clean them. I even tried putting very few items in at a time. They still arent clean. I have to take my heavily soiled laundry to the laundromat. My other main complaint is the baffling feature of a lock mode. I spend countless minutes standing by my washer waiting for it to unlock so I can toss in an extra item or add fabric softener, etc. When we removed the latch, the washer didnt work at all. Replaced the item at a cost of $40. Infuriating!

Our Whirlpool refrigerator breaks down after two weeks of purchase. I purchased a Whirlpool fridge for my son and his wife as a house and new baby gift. Just two weeks later, the fridge was not cooling and seemed to not be working. The technician was called, and he confirmed that the fridge was not working. We called the shop where the fridge was purchased from and advised they would not refund or replace the fridge. We are now forced to wait for a replacement part that could take up to 2 months to arrive. And there is no guarantee this problem will not reoccur with a new part, as per the technician. I called Whirlpool and lodged a complaint, but that went on deaf and ignorant ears. I am told to call the service repairer. I am sure there is a law to protect Australian consumers.I paid nearly $1,000 for a fridge that is useless! I would like Whirlpool to contact me, and tell me why they shouldnt be accountable for their product. I would like to return the faulty fridge, accept a refund and buy another fridge. My family are living out of an Esky, and this is a ridiculous way to refrigerate food stuff for adults and children in the heat of northern Australia. Whirlpool, I am waiting for your call.

Our less than 3 year old Whirlpool Gold Series 3-door refrigerator (WRF989SDAM00) went up 2 days before Christmas (12/22/17). Service guy looked at it and explained that the compressor was going. We lost food in the freezer since that was the first to lose cooling. We were told the parts alone would be over $600 not including labor, which could be just as much -- the actual repair ticket states a blockage in the cooling lines, needs Sealed System Repair. We understood that trying to repair a Sealed system could create more problems/repairs down the road. In Sep. we had ice build up on the inside of fridge under ice unit, part was a recall under warranty and was replaced, then 2 weeks later they needed to replace an additional part (adapter kit & user interface). It was also making a really loud noise on and off. These parts didnt help completely with the load noise. Ice stated building up again by Thanksgiving but went away before I could call again for service. Dont feel that the replacement parts really took care of that problem. Then the compressor went up.This is a Lemon of a fridge. A real waste of money. So frustrated. We did not purchase an extended warranty so it is basically tough luck for us. We ended up having to shop and then purchase a new fridge (Not Whirlpool and never Whirlpool again) in a few hours and spend money that we did not have budgeted for a big purchase a few days before Christmas. Oh, and there is one more thing, I never realized that a Stainless Steel fridge could RUST, well this one has numerous rust spots on the front door! Junk. It does not get the mold or mildew odor that my last machine would get due to the rubber or plastic made tub. I love it.

Our Whirlpool water heater needs a burner assembly replaced. Second time within the warranty period of six years. Parts have to be ordered, so you will be without hot water for several days to a week. The worst part is reaching them. Between my wife and I, we have almost 4 hours invested in sitting on hold waiting for someone in three different calls. They never answer the phone. They give an option to call back. They never call back. Im so frustrated. No Whirlpool products ever again. Im sitting at my desk, hoping someone will eventually answer the Whirlpool line. I dont even have the part ordered yet after two days of no hot water. Who knows how many more hours I will need to sit here and listen to this music on hold. It is incredible in 2021 a company can remain open while offering this kind of customer experience.

I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator in February 2016 from Lowes. Within 3 months the freezer started frosting up and eventually wasnt freezing. I made sure the back of the refrigerator was clean of debris and defrosted the freezer. This started occurring every 2 weeks. Upon a visit to Lowes, they indicated I would need to call the manufacturer. Well, after calling about 5 times and sitting on hold over 30 minutes each time, I gave up and decided I would just deal with having to defrost it every 2 weeks.Fast forward to September 2016. I wake up to $300 in food at 67 degrees in the fridge. Mind you, Im a caterer and have a wedding to cater in a few days. So here I sit on hold with Whirlpool. The man answered the phone after 40 minutes on hold. Then proceeds to tell me there are no technicians in my area and someone would get back to me in 24-48 business hours. Unacceptable, I say. I have now been on hold for another hour while he sees what he can do. Biggest load of crap ever. He didnt bother apologizing for the loss of food, and hasnt checked in with me once. I think the guy might have put me on hold and gone to lunch. I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool appliance - and zero stars to their customer service team. This is **!

As you keep adding garment its even worse literally. If you have anything that is heavy in this like a towel or a pair of pants or a hoodie or something like that for sure youre going to have to wash one thing at a time. I will never buy another one. It was coming out worse than they went in the machine! I called on Oct. 10th, 2011 to complain. They told me my warranty was up! I had to pay $234.83 to order F7E1 activator and pay repair. In order to drop the cubes, we had to unplug the refrigerator for a moment then we would have those few cubes. We used one service company sent by Whirlpool that came 3 times, adjusted temp, and replaced one electrical part. It didnt work. The repairman was going to call for support from Whirlpool to see if anyone else had had this problem. I didnt hear back from him until I called him 1 1/2 weeks later. He basically said there was nothing else he could do. Whirlpool sent out another service company. He replaced 2 electrical parts. They didnt work. We have no choice but to keep having service men come out and try to repair the refrigerator. What happens when the warranty has expired? They are trying to sell me an extended warranty. When my wife and I were planning our retirement, we made a to-do list before we officially stopped working. We are loyal Whirlpool users and over the next 3 years we purchased 4 major Whirlpool appliances in preparation of having 8-12 years of problem-free time as we go from a two-income working family to two people on fixed incomes. I retired in December of 2011 and unfortunately this did not pan out on 2 of the 4 appliances. The washing machine, in late February 2012, blew a transmission 23 months after purchase and 11 months after the warranty expired. Discussions with Whirlpool by phone were unsuccessful in getting the repair covered.Ultimately, this repair cost us $265.00. In late April, 9 months after the warranty expired, the refrigerator iced up and had to be manually defrosted, despite being equipped with ADS. My family and I did the defrosting because it was a weekend and tech support was not available. On Monday, the refrigerator was functioning, so I was told to run it and see what happens and call the tech if it happens again. I had done research online and found many folks were having trouble with this refrigerator model and the main problem was the control board”, a board that is used in many Whirlpool refrigerators. I ordered one after the initial problem and waited for it to ice up again. On Sunday, May 20, it repeated the same symptoms displayed and I put the board in myself and it solved the problem. This computer board cost me $95.81.I contacted Whirlpool about the two premature, post-warranty expiration issues in hopes of getting some reimbursement for the repairs. The Whirlpool rep told me that because there had not been a recall on either appliance, they could not reimburse me. They instead offered me a 6-month extension on the dishwasher I bought last July. I have been on several complaint websites and have seen the refrigerator control board repeatedly mentioned - all within the approximate 2-year timeline as my control board failed. My refrigerator was a GB9FHDXWQ01 model, but the control board is used in many of their refrigerators. If this has happened to you, please contact me at ** and, hopefully, together we can get enough data to get a recall and get proper treatment from Whirlpool. Please include your refrigerator’s model number so I can verify the board is the one in question. Thanks.

Here in Brazil, we use to have a very good brand of durable and reliable refrigerators and home appliances called Brastemp, and I was a very happy, fidelized customer of theirs. The time came for me to move to my new house. I gave my old appliances away to friends and modeled my new kitchen with Brastemp products. What I didnt know then is that Whirlpool bought the brand in 2000 and was selling their appliances over the Brastemp brand since.Whirlpool is clearly selling disposable appliances here. My vacuum cleaner failed after a week. My brand new refrigerator and laundry machines failed weeks after the one-year warranty and the dishwasher sometimes heats up and tips the 20A circuit breaker (suggested by the manufacturer), which is only for the dishwasher. For my complete surprise, my old appliances are still functional in my friends house. I got my old dishwasher back and I had absolutely no problems since. The vacuum cleaner failed again, this time 5 months out of warranty. In all fail cases, the price to fix it was about 70% of the price of a new one, which I took as a sign to replace them for something else. Good job, Whirlpool! You bought a nice brand, trashed it and gave the finger to fidelized customers you acquired with the new brand by replacing quality products with built-in obsolescence others. What do you plan to do next? Whatever it is, dont count on me as a customer ever again.

My fridge stainless steel doors rusted on after Whirlpool Customer Service told me to buy and use Affresh (a Whirlpool product) to clean them! The fridge was only 12 days old when this occurred, imagine my shock and disappointment. Whirlpool Customer Service reps then sent me another one of their products Whirlpool Stainless Steel Brightener with instructions to clean it every day for 3 weeks and it would resolve the rust problem. It didnt resolve the rust problem. 2 repairmen from different companies have looked at the doors and shook their heads that Whirlpools own Customer Service department recommended a product for a fridge that rusted it and then they take no responsibility for it! Whirlpool knows these stainless steel fridges have the potential to rust. Its listed in their manual. Unfortunately, buyers arent given a copy of that manual to peruse BEFORE they buy the product. I would never have purchased this Whirlpool fridge had I seen that! I have now since read of other Whirlpool stainless steel fridges rusting.

I am a single parent. So I was very excited when I had saved enough to purchase a new washer and dryer. I purchased Whirlpool because I had been told that was a good brand. From the beginning, I was having issues with the washer (Whirlpool Front Loader model #WFW8300SW04). It wouldnt start or it would not spin, or it would just lock and not be able to get it open. I had purchased a warranty. So I called to have it serviced. The tech came and told me that I needed to have my floor leveled under the washer. I hired someone to concrete under my washer and dryer. Again the washer still did the same thing. I used the warranty again. The second tech told me that I needed to have my electrical outlet changed. I again hired someone to change the outlet. Yet still the machine didnt work. I then hired a tech to come out and was told the mother board needed to be replaced. Had that done. The machine worked for a short time with no issues. But yet again it wont start, or wont spin, or it locks and you cant get it opened. I contacted Whirlpool and their answer to the problem was they would be glad to set up an appointment to send out one of their techs (at my expense). I have hired another tech and being told that the mother board once again needs to be replaced. I am so disappointed with Whirlpool and their service. I dont understand why they won’t stand behind their products. I will (when able) purchase another washer, but it most definitely will NOT be Whirlpool. Anyone else having issues with the same model? I have a double door refrigerator with a bottom freezer. It is slightly over 2 years old and has been in use for only 7 months of that time. We just got off the phone with Whirlpool service. They will cover the cost of the control panel and defrost control. The other one I paid to replace was only one month old and it failed again. In the time between that I had to have an Icing kit put in as the Ice maker was causing ice to form inside the back wall of the refrigerator. My first call to Whirlpool was very unsatisfactory. I ended up paying for the part and the service call. The second call was about the ice-maker and they were aware of the problem and sent me a repair kit for the problem. I still had to pay for repair service. So far I have paid $561.62 for their defective parts and service calls. This time my wife called (while I was taking my frozen foods to my neighbors freezer for the second time) and went through 3 people before being told the part was still under warranty and they will send a new one. When we pushed for proper service we got it. We should never have had to go through all this. We also lost over $300.00 of frozen foods. Never buy a Whirlpool refrigerator!!!

My Whirpool refrigerator model # WRF990SLAM01 was 14 months old (2 months past the new product warranty) when we started having issues with multiple areas. The ice machine stopped making ice and started dripping from the dispenser and the freezer stopped freezing food. I called and was told to purchase an extended warranty which cost me $375.00. The service tech has been to my house 12 times over the last 9 months. They have replaced multiple parts and even started replacing parts a second time. I was instructed by the service tech to call and request a replacement fridge. Whirlpool customer service told me that it would have to be considered a lemon before they replaced the product. I was told that would require each component to be replaced 3 times. I would need to take off work 27 more times for the repairs!!! The service tech came out one more time and he said there was nothing else he could do. I called again to complain and even wrote to Whirlpool corporation (though they never called me back at my request). After much complaining, which I do not normally do, they have decided to replace the unit. BUT I have to pay and additional $476.29 for them to replace this unit!!! Bought a Whirlpool Gas Range model WFG530S0ES0 in Nov 2015. Eleven months into owning it the oven wouldnt heat up. Turns out the motherboard and wiring harness needed replaced. Since it was within a year of purchase, parts and labor were covered. Dec 2018 the same darn thing happened. I called Whirlpool and they basically said, Tough luck, lady. Was I surprised, not in the least. I talked to a supervisor who said that they dont have a single complaint on their Gas Ranges. Did I believe that, not in the least. Whirlpool finally agreed to pay for the parts but not the labor. Whirlpool supervisor said that equipment failure occurs. I said theres a difference between reasonable equipment failure and unreasonable equipment failure. For a 3 year old Whirlpool gas range to failure twice, with the same problem, is unreasonable failure. The supervisor said in such a pleasant voice, Basically too bad for you. Oh and have a Merry Christmas.

We purchased our Whirlpool range a few months ago. We have the 6.1 cubic oven which is large inside with 5th element on top for keeping things warm which is a nice feature. The oven wipes easily if any spills occur. The only issue I have had is the top scratches easily. I used Creams Brute to clean the top which does well.

We bought an 80 gallon lifetime warranty electric water heater. We get about 20 minutes of hot water and then cold water. Weve had 2 plumbers out and checked our system and said it has to be the water heater, but they dont want to mess with it in case it voids the warranty. Fine. We called Whirlpool and since the alarm system isnt indicating an issue, they say its not the water heater. We now have to do a diagnostic ourselves to find out if it is the water heater. What? It has a warranty! We are not plumbers! How come Whirlpool doesnt think its their equipment? Weve already had ours checked and it isnt us! So frustrating and we will not buy another whirlpool product again! Not good customer service to promote repeat buyers. Whirlpool, shame on you.

Whirlpool Cabrio Model WTW6500 - I ask all of you to stay away from the Whirlpool Cabrio sets. I have spent hundreds of dollars trying to fix my washer. I just spent $260 for a computer board. Now it stays on rinse cycle. So now I need the motor sensor harness which is another $90. Service call $80 x 2. So, now I am going to take the computer board back and get my 260 dollars back. For the cost of $400 to fix this washer. You can go and buy a new one for around $400. Then, Im going to the lawyers to file a class action suit against Whirlpool. So, owners; be looking in your mailboxes for a class action suit against Whirlpool for those who own the cabrio set. Im tired of having to deal with whirlpool customer service. Maybe, whirlpool should think of having their laundry made back in America.

I bought a range on 2/11/11. On 2/14/12, I cleaned the oven for the first time at high temperature and noticed burned grease marks which appeared at the inside of the glass in front of the oven. I called for service and the repairman took apart the door and cleaned it. He said it would probably happen again. There was a leakage somewhere and he couldnt repair it. I think it is a quality control problem at the manufacturing levels.

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio in April 2012 and in July 2012, it started giving problems. It wouldnt start. It started humming. We heard money-like jingling noises. It stopped spinning and rinsing clothes. I called for service. No luck with that. So in order to wash, I had to drag the washer to the back door (which ripped up my new floors) hang hose outside for it to finish the load. Well a few months later, that didnt work so the assistant where it was purchased told us to cut the pipe down in the wall. Now we have a big hole in the wall. My floors are ruined and we are out getting another washer. This one is not even a year old. That was a $750 loss.

This is our 3rd repair in 13 months and now my 4 and 1/2 year old son and I both suffered bacterial food poisoning on this 3rd round. It has been a complete nightmare. Then we found out until last month, they were completely replacing the entire refrigerator. Then they stopped that and are just replacing the parts again. Now there is a back order of the parts and not to put any food in there or we will get sick again. The repair itself will take 4 hours whenever they get the parts in and another 1/2 day to take off work. We are building a house and have bought the entire gold series line of crap that is sitting in boxes in our garage. NOW WHAT WHIRLPOOL?

I bought a whirlpool microwave on August 8th. The microwave was missing parts. I called whirlpool. They said they were sending me the parts, mind you this was not a floor model. So 2 weeks later pass I received no bracket No screws. I called whirlpool oh yes we got the address wrong. Resent it, just one screw no bracket and I needed 2 screws. I called again oh yes we did get the order for the bracket too but you have to pay $7. I said ok no problem. Can you do fast shipping? They said sure. I called Monday August 25th. They said I should receive it by Wednesday August 27th. I had to pay extra for the shipping. Here I am September 2nd w/ no bracket. Called again. They said it wasnt next day shipping, it was 2 day shipping and its at the post office. But the shipping number they gave me was for the one screw. I believe I should get my money back. I spoke to a supervisor, took her number down. Still waiting for a call because the mailman came and I didnt receive anything yet again.

Hi Folks, so today I had the pleasure to speak to Whirlpool regarding a rep
Hi Folks, so today I had the pleasure to speak to Whirlpool regarding a repair bill on our washing machine which now has a bearing failure and estimate to repair was 1279.00. Its 6.5 Yrs old, just out of extended warranty and cost me with the pedestal a total of 1250.00 when new. I explained that in the 6.5 since I have lived at this house where we spend all new Whirlpool Gold Appliances, half have now failed. Range Microwave, Dishwasher and now the 1250.00 front loader is dying a slow and agonizing death with a bearing failure. Just so everyone understands, the estimate is from an official Whirlpool repair service that was booked through the Whirlpool website. Other repair folks just would not bother to look at it when I told them I believe the bearing was going bad.The repair man that arrived was professional and on time. However, I had a hard time understanding how a 6.5 Yr old washing machine would be considered beyond economical repair by costing 1279.00 to repair. Labor was 250.00 which I thought was fair. Time, etc. But parts made up the difference in cost. So later in the day, I spoke to Whirlpool and they offered the equal new washer for what would seem an excellent price. About half off. Wow, I thought that sounded good. So I asked if my existing pedestal would work with the new washer and it did not and I would have to pay for one. Regardless if my old one was fine or not.So, they offered a discounted rate from new at another half off. Total approx 800.00. So, I asked the Whirlpool rep to hold on and I need to check with my wife if she wants the replacement. She uses it as much as I do and wanted her thoughts. She checked the model on the washer and pedestal and with the local Home improvement store, they have it on sale for both units (washer and pedestal) and its about 50.00 less?Consequently, I called Whirlpool back and explained that it does not move the needle to regain my trust as compensation on a 6 yr bearing failure, failed dishwasher and range microwave they offer what a distributor of their product can offer for less as a package? Really? I mean, the Home improvement store is not in the business to lose money. Now, I am having a hard time understanding my own failure to have trust in a brand I used to have with my previous house. My mom had an old Whirlpool washing machine that lasted 25 years before she and my dad gave it away. You know, the old white top loader they used to make back in the 70s. Sheet metal, made a racket and never broke? Oh yeah got the clothes clean too! I dont know what to make of it anymore. So, I will just wait till it dies and take my hard earned money and spend it on another brand in my next house which we are going to move to soon. Maybe I can feel nostalgic and find my moms old washer. Its probably washing someones rags right now and getting them clean. It must be 35 yrs old by now.I dont expect to get anything for free. Its out of warranty, so I need to deal with the consequences, but there are steps the other party can take to help remedy the situation. I think they tried and it was genuine but in my thoughts its just not enough when your local box store is offering the same. When you develop a brand to extend a message of trust in quality and value, you need to have quality and value all the time. I suggested they help with the costs on the parts. I would certainly pay for the labor. Parts cost little to the manufacturer. Unable to help that way. I thought it was cheaper for them too. Guess not. Its come to be a throw away washing machine at 6.5 yrs and I am Infinitely disappointed. I just want my washing machine to work as well as my mothers old one and have the possibility to fix once in a while when needed.

Bought a Duet Whirlpool washer a couple of years ago. After about 6 months, it started to make a lot of noise like a jet taking off. Where we live there isnt a repairman thats able to come and fix it. So we would be required to have it shipped away to have this done. The washer was purchased at The Brick when we bought our new home. When we told The Brick of our problem we were directed to call Whirlpool directly - this we did and like everyone else we were given the runaround with no compensation to come. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

I called and logged my complaint but they say they have NO recall on any of their products and will send someone out but will charge me a service call unwarranted and parts if needed. I told them there are many websites that recall their tub bearings but they refused to fix the problem on recall. I dont have photos due to bearings are under the tub.

I recently purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator, model number WRT351SFYB00. Several months later, I noticed a small amount of water on my kitchen floor. I moved the refrigerator and found the hard wood floor under it had been completely ruined, so the leak had obviously been going on for a long time. Possibly since day one. I called a repair man. He identified the leak was coming from a cracked drip tray which was not uncommon. However, much to his surprise, due to the design of this model, he was unable to remove and replace the tray. He explained there was a metal panel bolted in place that was preventing him from replacing it. He said this panel was also bolted to the compressor. Therefore, the best he could do was caulk whatever cracks he found in the existing tray and hope for the best. It goes without saying he could not guarantee his work like he normally does.I noticed this same complaint on a user forum website on Appliancepartspros.com, so this refrigerator obviously has a significant design flaw. My repairman said if it was his refrigerator, hed get rid of it, and also indicated that after seeing this, hed never again recommend Whirlpool to anyone. All I know is that Whirlpool is permanently off of my list now as well.

I purchased this fridge in February 2015. In August, the handle on the fridge door broke. I called for a replacement on 8/7, on 9/14/15 I received it. It broke on 10/3/15 and had a replacement on 10/13/15. It broke again on 12/26/15. I called for a replacement. I should get it in 10 days. Obviously, there is a flaw in their design. What bothers me is that no one seems to care. I will hope I never have to buy a Whirlpool product again. And I will certainly discourage anyone I know who is thinking about buying their products. I purchased this product at Lowes and they did not care when I went to them.

Yes, Whirlpool makes Maytag, Im still paying for this junk. Too much to go into detail. I had to bypass the crummy fuse system in the Bravo dryer and hook up my own 15amp automotive fuse in the dryer to keep it working. This after two lame under-contract Maytag repairmen replaced the dreaded board, which did nothing. The washer goes cabunk, cabunk, cabunk throughout the house and shuts down with an unlevel code (no matter how level the load is) every time it does its load during the spin cycle. The dishwasher handle broke off and had to use a screwdriver to pry the handle latch open, until realized it doesnt even lock anyway and just pulled the door open. Now, the dishwasher has this noise problem which means they designed it to allow pieces of debris to escape past the trap like my other dishwasher had that was easy to remove and clean. Do not, I repeat, do not pay the $3,500+ I paid for this junk. Go buy a Kenmore thats 15 years old off of Craigslist! Youll be better off and it will last longer.

We purchased Whirlpool dishwasher Model #GU3200XTXB Nov. 2011. Two weeks later they replaced the soap/rinse aid dispenser because the rinse aid was running out the bottom of the dispenser. Feb. 2012 they replaced the handle which was loose. July 2012 the panel lights werent working and that was replaced. Feb. 2014 the soap dispenser door would not open, so the dispenser was replaced again. March 2014 the soap door would not open again so the computer board was replaced & the door did open. However, it stopped again 3 days later. April 2014 the dispenser and the board were both replaced. The rinse aid dispenser did not dispense leaving the inside with moisture on everything. So yesterday the dispenser was again replaced but now the rinse aid is running out the bottom of the dispenser. Thank goodness we purchased an extended warranty for $169 or we would have spent more than $1,000 on repairs!! The warranty company refuses to acknowledge that their lemon law should apply. There are 2 of us and we use it 2/3 times weekly.

After 3 yrs, it now shuts off repeatedly... needs to be restarted at least 15 times. It use to shut down early in the cycle. Now it shuts off whenever. I should have read the reviews on this dishwasher before buying but it was on sale for such a good price. I guess I got what I paid for. Of course, the business I bought them from tried to get me to buy all types of fixes that had nothing to do with the problem and therefore couldnt answer me why this was happening.
