Whirlpool Gold Series Dishwasher - I wish I had discovered this website BEFORE I bought this piece of trash last year to replace our antique Maytag that ran like a champ for 10 years. But after 10 year the gaskets wore out and it started leaking. Even at ten years old that Maytag cleaned and dried better than this brand new Whirlpool. My complaints are the same as everybody else here. Doesnt clean even slightly soiled dishes and then it doesnt dry any of the silverware, or plastic pieces like measuring cups and tupperware. All are totally wet and need to be hand dried. So, why am I cleaning the dishes beforehand and drying them after??? The only good thing I can say about this unit, is that it is quiet. But, as my husband said, so is a brick, and a brick would be just about as good at washing and drying our dishes. Buyers Beware!!! This is a terrible product. Turned me against Whirlpool appliances forever.

My experience w/ Whirlpool has been disastrous. Whatever you do read the reviews on products before purchasing, do your homework first before purchasing any major appliance. Whirlpool company and its employees are a joke. We are paying consumers and spent our hard earned dollars to support a company that could care less about us and our problems with their products they sell to us which are a piece of crap. I purchased a refrigerator made by Whirlpool from hhgregg in Oct 2015, which took 2 months to get it delivered. The refrigerator is not a year old yet, and cannot get anyone to come out to repair it. I have called Whirlpool numerous times, and so have my husband to come and repair a refrigerator that is less than a year old.The ice maker stopped working. Then I came home and discovered that the refrigerator is not cool, and everything in the bottom freezer had almost thawed out, and a repairman was supposed to come on August 31, 2016. It has been hot as Hades, during August, Sept, in the high 90s and they had the nerve to call and say they had to order the icemaker and when it came in someone would be out to fix it. I called the company in Maryland to find out what part did they order because a technician hadnt been out at this point to determine what part needed to be replaced. I called Whirlpool, and yes was put on hold for 45 minutes each time, and when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that the manager said I could call a repairman and they would reimburse me up to $150.00. I replied That that is not my job. Your job is to send a repairman to fix it.The name of the company that they gave me and the phone number is located in Maryland, I live in the state of Virginia past Richmond, 3 hours away. Then I was told by the company in Maryland that they dont have technicians to Repair Whirlpool Refrigerators. This is totally unacceptable. It is Sept 19, and since August no one from Whirlpool has been out to fix it, neither have they tried to rectify the problem. Bottom Line, DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT, not from hhgregg, Sears, Home Depot, Lowes, anywhere because this is how they treat customers. I have an 88 year old Aunt that lives with us that were responsible for, and she cant even get a glass of ice cold water from a brand new refrigerator thats still under warranty. There is a chronic and well-known problem with recent French door, bottom freezer refrigerators sold by Whirlpool, including the the brand names KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Maytag, and Amana. The problem is caused when the defrost drain freezes, preventing defrosted water from reaching the evaporation pan. After enough water builds up, it overflows along the front of the refrigerator. In my particular case, we have wood floors and they were ruined by the water. After doing some investigation on the internet, I have learned that this problem affected approximately 1,500 model numbers sold under these names. These model numbers are listed in a Technical Service Pointer issued by Whirlpool.In August 2013, after experiencing several years of problems with these units, Whirlpool issued a Technical Service Pointer W10632338, advising service technicians that a new P Trap drain tube kit was now available, and suggesting that the defective duck bill check valve should be replaced by this new part. The problem for years had been that the rubber duck bill check valve would, over time, become sticky (or tacky) and would then not open - causing water to build up above it. Eventually, the water would freeze and since newly defrosted water could no longer escape, it would build up and eventually overflow.From what Ive seen online, plus a conversation with the Sears technician who come out to diagnose and repair my leak, I am convinced there are many thousands of customers who have experienced this problem. Because it takes a while for the rubber check valve to become sticky and no longer open, it is not uncommon for the problem to not appear until after the standard one-year warranty has expired. From reports, Whirlpool has sometimes acknowledged the problem and effected repair of refrigerators no longer under warranty.But what about those customers, like me, who have experienced water damage to floors and cabinets? Shouldnt Whirlpool be liable for those repairs, too? Id be interested to know if anyone knows of plans for a class action lawsuit.

These machines are designed to clean your clothes by rubbing them together which they attempt to do in a minute amount of water. They destroy the fabric, pull the seam out of shape, wrinkle them beyond the point of wearable, do not get them clean and do not get all the detergent out. I have had clothes come out partially dry. They also do not dilute the fabric softener, leaving unremovable stains on your clothes. In addition, they take forever to do a load of clothes even without the extra rinse you need if you want any hope of getting the clothes rinsed. The dryer is the slowest dryer I have ever had. The steam refresh that is supposed to get the hideous wrinkles out of your clothes does not put steam into the dryer. Instead, it sets the dryer to the highest heat so that those clothes you did not want on high heat are now getting it; then it shoots bursts, yes large bursts, of water on them. Your clothes come out a combination of still wrinkles and wet. If you hear of a class action suit, please contact me. These machines should be recalled.

Whirlpool Washing Machine Model WTW4950XW0 - This washing machine was purchased as a gift by my father. We have owned this machine for about 2 years. I am very disappointed with the quality of this machine. I have 3 children and several pets. I use my machine a lot and need a quality item that will last. This machine is not that item. Within a few months, the machine was off balance and bolts had to be tightened. We have had problems with the belt, bolts coming loose and the machine not draining.More recently, the machine has become very loud... For approximately the last 6 months. My husband has taken the machine apart and looked for anything to be wrong with it and has found nothing. Now the machine is not running. I will turn it on and it fills with water and then stops. I will clear it out and restart it and it does the same thing. Another issue has been with spinning and draining. The clothes are soaking wet even after the drain/spin cycle.I have researched what could possibly be wrong with this machine and have found a vast number of items that could need replaced. With the money I have already put into fixing this machine in the past and the amount it will cost to fix it this time, I believe I will be further ahead if I buy a new machine made by a different company. I will not be buying a Whirlpool product again.

Multiple issues with the Gold Series. Have lost two refrigerators full of food!!! First problem was ice on the back wall of the fridge. 2 years later refrigerator is not blowing cold air and it is only 4 years old!!! Terrible product!!

I purchased a Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator from Lowes for $1,100. It arrived missing a shelf. Last year, the warranty expired and the ice maker mysteriously failed. Next a drawer slide failed. Next the lights, both of them, failed. I was offered a service call, the estimate $300+. Next, the ice bucket bottom broke and filled the freezer with cubes. Next another drawer slide failed. Whirlpool makes an over-priced, poorly engineered, poorly made product and Lowes sells their products without any care for their customers. I will do my best to warn anybody who is interested that while Whirlpool used to be a good company, it has degraded into producing junk and trading on a once storied reputation. And Lowes touts these products without any interest in its consumers.

Does not clean clothes as well as I was told it would. Very dissatisfied with the price and performance and would not recommend this brand to family members as well as friends. With the way the current economy is, companies like Whirlpool should reduce their prices!

July 2017 I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator Model # WRF757SDEM00 S/NK51709722. The refrigerator portion went out, the repairman said it was the fan therefore I spent 351.00 dollars for house call and fan. When that did not work the repairman spoke to whirlpool and they said the panel of small computer may go out with it 212.00 plus tax. Did not allow that and tried another repairman who said the value that switches from freezer to refrigerator was out and if I could find someone to fix it would cost between 600 and 800. I went out and bought a Samsung because on the front said 10 year warranty. At least anything is better than 1 year whirlpool offers. There is NOTHING in the name.

Purchased this refrigerator in 7/2017. I cant stand it. Its pretty and works, but the NOISE!! I bought a white noise machine and placed it on the countertop next to the refrigerator just to drown out the noise (very high pitched sound). Repairmen came out twice. A part was replaced, but nothing changed. Said have to live with it. Dont buy Whirlpool or youll go crazy listening to this all day, especially with an open concept home. You can hear it everywhere!

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator (model number model ised5lvaxwq00) about 14 months ago. The icemaker would not work when delivered. I had it fixed. Several months later, it quit working. It cost $200.00 to have it repaired. The ice door stopped working. I called Alabama Power to repair the icemaker. He advised that it would cost around $300.00 to repair. We are on a fixed income and cannot afford to have it repaired. On investigation, I found hundreds of complaints about the same issue with the icemaker flap. I would appreciate you trying to eliminate this problem.

Have used washer since 2005. Still runs today. Minor repairs done. Is reliable brand. Whirlpool gold model washer purchased at navy exchange. Will buy another whirlpool again. Have bought other brands which lasted 7yrs and then needed replacing. This whirlpool is the best. Lasted 15 yrs and still working fine doing 5 loads a week.

Whirlpool hot water heater - The water coming from the faucets when it is hot is red. Therefore, I contacted Whirlpool and was informed that the anode has failed. The anode is not covered because, according to this company, it is not considered a working part. It baffles me that the anode is not a working part since it keeps the tank from rotting. I have only had the hot water tank for three years and this part has failed causing my hot water to be red. Since this company contradicts itself, I either have to live with red hot water (rust) or replace the part on my own. Unlike your company, Lowes has customer service. They apologized and will be paying for half of the expense for the part. Unfortunately, I still must pay for an employee to replace the part. This whole situation is absolutely ridiculous. I will never be purchasing another item from your company and in addition to that, I will tell everyone I know to avoid this company at all costs. You should strongly consider revising this policy before you lose all of your customers.

I bought this fridge in July of 2017. In December the Ice Maker quit, I called and they sent a tech out. The repair guy reset the ice maker and it made Ice. It functioned June and quit. They sent a new company that was a no-show, so I had to wait until July for the new company to come out. When they did, they replaced the ice maker. It worked for 10 days and quit. Same thing, replace the ice maker and this time quit about 30 days later. I called August 27th because the 4th Ice maker quit again. I was told by a supervisor that because they have used the same claim number it counts as one claim and does not fall under the Lemon Law. I did get the supervisor to admit that there are 2 claims in the system while under Warranty, but now it is on the extended warranty. Whirlpool is Garbage and I am here to tell everyone to STAY AWAY!

I paid about $3500 for this, alleged, top of the line fridge a little over 2 years ago. The freezer, bottom type, doesnt get cold enough to thoroughly freeze food. Called Sears, they said out of warranty, the same with whirlpool. But they can have a tech run a diagnostic check for $85. Here we go. They suck more money out of the consumer game, and try to baffle them with **, legal jargon. FYI for all. Dont buy Whirlpool from any store selling Whirlpool products, any Whirlpool products. Once the middle men get the picture, they will stop ordering or buying from Whirlpool.Whirlpool are a bunch of con artists selling crappy products with false integrity. They are the typical old school door to door salesman that sells a crappy product then is on the run to the next state. No receipt or order number. I bought the product two years ago but here is the Serial number K30416919 and the Model number WRF989SDAM00. What happened to fridges that lasted at least 10 years? An outdated computer costs more and lasts longer than their products.

If I fix this washer I will have been on 3 motherboards in the 5 years I have owned this machine. That is inexcusable and indicative of crap quality control and manufacturing process. I should not have to replace the control board at these intervals or, within 5 years, at all. I will never touch another Whirlpool appliance again.

I purchased this washer 3 years ago. At year 2, I had to replace the RPS part. The codes that appear represent 2 different issues as well: one being the RPS part and also for the control panel. In less than 1 year since this replacement, it is broken again! The clothes do not get very clean. You cant soak whites in hot water and bleach (it drains after 5 minutes if you stop it). You have to use the bulky setting to get enough water to actually wash your clothes. If you get too much detergent, your clothes comes out crunchy feeling even with the extra rinse.I thought this Whirlpool product would be great since my 22 year old dishwasher is a Whirlpool and still works but as the old saying goes... They dont make them to last like they used to. To say this washer is a POS Lemon is an understatement! I also have the companion dryer and it is starting to have problems including the door latch breaking into pieces. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again! I have been told that Kenmore and Maytag are also under the Whirlpool umbrella so Im not sure what I will buy next. My recommendation: DO NOT BUY THESE PRODUCTS!!!

We purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher in August of 2014 (Model #WDT710PAYM6) and it broke for the first time in the summertime of 2015, so it was still under warranty. The manufacturer set us up with a local company to fix it. First of all, the guy comes out to look at it and has no parts with him whatsoever to fix it once he figures out the problem. So we ended up waiting for over a month before our dishwasher was fixed. That is a long time to have to hand wash dishes, especially with the amount that we go through each day. I know that ranting about having to hand wash dishes is such a first world problem thing to complain about, but my gosh...if I buy a brand new dishwasher for a good amount of money, I shouldnt have to hand wash my stupid dishes!!It has now broken AGAIN and it is no longer under warranty. We called Whirlpool to see what they could do because it should not be breaking this often. They told us we could either spend $250 for a years worth of maintenance on it, or just pay out of pocket. So you want me to pay $250 or more to fix a dishwasher that we spent over $400 on that has broken twice in a year??? Ive been looking on their website for this model to leave a review and cannot find it, so that leads me to believe that it is discontinued. So thank you, Whirlpool for the piece-of-crap dishwasher. I can see you really take care of your customers when they call about their concerns too. I will NEVER buy any Whirlpool appliance again, and I will be sure to let all of my friends know they shouldnt either. If I could rate this with negative stars I would. So now we have to go out and purchase another dishwasher. Thank God Cyber Monday is here. So I cannot say it enough, do not, do not, do not buy a Whirlpool. I purchased a Whirlpool Electric Water Heater in September of 2008. The unit had a 12-year warranty on the tank and on December 24th 2011, I discovered that the water heater sprung a leak somewhere in the tank shell; not the pressure relief or thermostat or anode port. The tank was never abused and operated well within its design limits. It is simply a piece of junk that lasted about 27% of its expressed life. I purchased the tank at Lowes and went for the longest tank warranty to reduce replacement intervals. I shall never purchase anything with a Whirlpool affiliation. We purchased our fridge February 2017. It stopped working September 2018. It wasn’t staying cold. Under manufacturers warranty a repairman was sent out to assess the problem. They had to order the part that went bad. A week later the came back and “fixed” it. Total time missed at work 1 day. It stopped working again April 2019. It wasn’t staying cold. Under our Lowe’s extended protection plan a different repairman was sent out to assess the problem. They had to order the part. A week later they came back and “fixed” it. Total time missed at work 1.5 days. Yesterday (July 2019) we noticed it wasn’t cold AGAIN. Called Lowe’s and was told they could call it a Lemon and replaced until the 4th time it needed repaired. They would need to send out a repairman and assess the issue and make a repair. Our 3 yr extended protection plan expires February 2020. So we’re probably not going to make it Lemon status within the warranty. The fridge is French Door Bottom Mount model. Do NOT buy this refrigerator!

Four years ago, I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator - French doors (ice and water in the door) and freezer bottom drawer. Against everyone but the HH Greggs salesmans advice, I purchased the extended warranty as I had paid a large sum of money for the refrigerator. Within a year, I began experiencing problems with the ice maker. Over the next few years, I had to have it repaired/replaced an additional three times. Add to the whole mess the incompetency of the A & E Repairmen that required at least two visits each time to complete a repair and their inability to arrive during a 9 hour window, I stayed livid about my refrigerator for three long years. Finally, I demanded a replacement refrigerator under the lemon portion of my warranty. After numerous arguments, the warranty company offered me several different makes and models to pick to replace my hunk of junk. Stupidly thinking that my problems were related to one bad unit, I selected another Whirlpool only to have it completely crash a little over one year after acquiring it. I lost the food in it and am having to wait almost a month for the parts to arrive and the repairman to return. According to him, it will have to be completely rebuilt. I will never, never buy another Whirlpool!

We moved into our new condo a few months ago and my wife noticed that the knobs and front of our new Whirlpool Stove were getting too hot to touch so we called Whirlpool and since then never used stove. Was over one year old, we had to call their factor service representative. The charge was $98 plus labor $90 to tell us that even though the surfaces were way too hot to touch and dangerous to touch they were still within the factory specs of 167 degrees for the knobs, 152 degrees for the drawer, and 172 degrees for the front glass. He found the front of the unit reached 152 degrees which was hot enough to cause a serious burn when the stove was only set to 400 degrees. Why would a company set specs that will cause serious injuries? If my wife or grandchildren get burned by this crappy stove Whirlpool will be hearing from my lawyer. Stay away from any Aquaclean Whirlpool stove.

I purchased the Whirlpool Flame Lock water heater (model BFG1F4034T3NOV) in May of 2008. Within a little over a year, it stopped working. I was able to get the manufacturer to send out a repairman and install a new kit. It worked great for 2 years. Now, here I am again with the pilot light going out daily. So I went to Lowes and purchased the thermocouple, and a friend installed it. We still have to light the pilot light twice a day to have hot water for showers.

I’ve found many years of flawless performance from many Whirlpool Appliances! Once they are 20+ yrs old, I tolerate their aging and repair issues if they occur. My current microwave oven is 10 years old and was removed for a kitchen remodel, replaced after remodel and hasn’t skipped a beat!

We purchased the WRX988SIBM00, delivered 6-26-14. Immediately upon plugging it in, we noticed a seemingly loud hum to it. Thought maybe it would go away once the fridge cooled off, but the hum continues. SO sad because I love the features.

We purchased this washer in April two years ago. I have had service people out twice to replace the lid. Tonight, my husband comes into the kitchen with chunks of something that I could not readily identify. He tells me the entire frame holding the light has rusted out and that the light is hanging into the tub! I followed him into our air conditioned interior laundry room and placed my hand under the rim. It’s filled with rust and the light is dangling down into the tub!

This washing machine started giving us trouble just a few months after purchasing. Have had repairman to our home 5 times in 3 years. Last time repairman came he said future repairs would be very expensive & we should purchase another machine. Whirlpool will not have my confidence again unless they recall this machine & fix all problems.

I purchased two Whirlpool refrigerators 9 years ago and this year, 2018, both of them died. Bad compressors that cost up to $700 to replace. Repair folks would not guarantee them as there could also be other issues, like leaks in the internal parts of the refrigerator. I have a 20 year old frig (Kenmore) in my garage than runs great, no repairs and is in a non heated area. My conclusion is that that Whirpool reduced cost by making cheap products.

I bought this Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load Washing Machine in December and have hated it ever since. The energy efficiency this item claims means that you will spend a ridiculous amount of time waiting for your load to finish. My family hates this machine and I regularly have to hear about how long the load is taking because the timer adjusts continually. Put in a QUICK load and it said 38 minutes, came back in 30 and it said 24 minutes. It is so frustrating!!! We are afraid to put anything on a heavy soil setting or anything other than quick, because it can take 2-3 hours to complete. I have to schedule a day to wash my bedding and there isnt any convenience in doing a quick load. I am going to have to sell this one and purchase another washer. What a loss!! This machine has been a time and money waster! I will NEVER BUY WHIRLPOOL again!!! I bought this machine through Best Buy.

Had them come out numerous times and last guy changed out entire motherboard to no avail. Freezer side freezes and then thaws. Now it is just a two sided refrigerator. Before Thanksgiving I was promised new refrigerator and none arrive after phone calls. No refrigerator for thanksgiving. None for Christmas. Finally today at 7:00 this evening January 17 2020 it arrives. I am suppose to be in bed. I have two terminal illnesses. I moved out boxes of stuff out of refrigerator. Installer came in and said I had to move stuff on the porch that they are not allowed to. I get all done, finally sit down and he comes in and says there’s a big ding in bottom of refrigerator. No idea when another refrigerator would come. Who is going to put all my furniture back? Who is going to put my food back in my refrigerator. I bought the entire Whirlpool package Made In America. I should have went cheaper and bought from China. Now there’s trouble with dishwasher and they have been out once already for that. I could worry about taking care of my health if I didn’t spend all my time dealing with whirlpool. Maybe they can bury me in the refrigerator and my daughter won’t have to buy a coffin. I make 1000 a month on disability and get 16 dollars in food stamps. I have thrown 1000s of dollars away after motherboard was fixed. I went and my friend helped and bought new groceries. One day took out a frozen burrito and as I was putting it in microwave I noticed it had mold all over it. Another food dump. Whirlpool pool answering phone says whirlpool cares. Well they don’t care about me.

In January 2021 I purchased a front load Whirlpool washer and matching dryer. They were delivered on February 6 2021. The first load we found water on the floor. I thought I didnt close the detergent drawer so I proceeded with the next load. Again I found water this even through the ceiling tile in room below. So with the next load I sat in laundry room to see what was happening. When on the rinse cycle water shoots out the front of the dispenser drawer.Contacted service, they sent repair man. He ordered new parts and I waited over 3 weeks for next repair call to find out that whirlpool had part all along. Repair man came again and still no resolution to issue. He was told to order same parts again - still no resolution yet again. I fought with Whirlpool till they said they would give me a new machine. Now fighting because delivery people wont uninstall 1st washer and install new machine. Today is June 28 2021 and I still DONT HAVE A WASHER TO USE. I havent even used the dryer yet. I have $3400 and numerous hours with Whirlpool trying to resolve this issue! Can you help? Whirlpool continues to string us along, telling us to be patient, theyre doing their best.

Aqualift Self Cleaning - JUNK! JUNK! JUNK! The oven does NOT heat properly and it is NOT self-cleaning. Whirlpool should be ashamed of itself. We ALL need a refund. Class Action suit looming. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

I am a Licensed Plumber in Oklahoma, have been for 25 years. Our company will no longer work on Whirlpool water heaters, heres why. I diagnosed a water heater that the pilot would not stay lit, the thermocouple was bad. Whirlpool Tech Support told me to go to Lowes and buy the parts and send them the receipt and they would reimburse me. The customer was furious that I charged them for the part and I told them when I got reimbursed, I would send them the money. Well, I not only never got any money from Whirlpool but I never got paid from the homeowner who was mad at me and I didn’t even sell it to them. Beware, buy Rheem.

We bought the dishwasher on 12/28/11. It broke 4 weeks later. I had the company come out to fix it. 6 months later, it broke again, needed a whole new control board. 3 months later, it broke again, they came out and did some type of repair. 7 months later, it broke again and it needed a whole new control board. They wanted to charge us $250.00 for this, but after some major arguing in regards to how New this was and the warranty now out, they waived the fee. 3 weeks later, the same problem as before! I am so angry about this lemon of a dishwasher! They are coming out again today! I am quite sure they will need to replace the control board again! I will never buy another Whirlpool product.

My new refrigerator was purchased in December 2016. The black finish was scratched by the installers wiping off their hand prints. The retailer offered to replace the doors which happened two months later. The black finish scratched IMMEDIATELY while cleaning of the installers fingerprints, using a silk microfiber towel though it looks like the cleaning was done with steel wool pads. I called Whirlpool and the retailer. Whirlpool says to order more replacement doors. Ha! Ha! I have had black appliances since 2000 in another home and there was NEVER a problem cleaning them. I do not recommend WHIRLPOOL because of this problem with the stability of the black finish. I dont have a receipt or order number because the suite of appliances was purchased by the condo association, not me personally. But I can attest to the condition of the marred finish and the ludicrous solution provided by WHIRLPOOL customer service... order more doors. I guess youd have to do that every week after you clean the front of the refrigerator.

This series is a complete dud. We purchased a home in 2015 that had a Whirlpool Gold Series refrigerator. The home was built in 2013 and appliances were brand new. The majority of our neighbors, whose homes also contained this refrigerator, have had to repair or replace this model. None of the homes in my neighborhood are older than 4 years. We will not be purchasing anything Whirlpool associated in the future.

Multiple issues with this two-year-old refrigerator. Do not buy! The exterior stainless steel doors rust in sporadic locations. According to a quick google search, it is a widely known issue that Whirlpool has not addressed. We have never used abrasive cleaners, only wipes that are made for stainless appliances. We use them on all of our stainless appliances. The fridge is the only one that now has 10+ areas of pitting rust. It continues to spread! What the heck?Secondly, the ice maker stopped working at 16 months. First it was just the auger that stopped turning. Which was inconvenient but not the end of the world. It still produced ice, but we had to open the door and pull ice out instead of having it dispensed. Now it has stopped producing ice altogether. We had the repair guy out today. Apparently, the motor for the auger and the actual ice maker are not receiving power any longer. The certified tech said it was either the main control board or bad wiring somewhere from the control board to the ice maker.For a small fortune, we can try putting in a new board. If the new board doesnt work, we will then know it is a wiring issue. If it is a wiring issue, we will have paid for a new board that was not needed, and we are out of luck completely on the wiring issue. Part of the wiring is sealed within the freezer door. A new freezer door costs nearly as much as the fridge. Part of the wiring is sealed in the back of the fridge. It is impossible to open the seal without breaking the fridge, because the back is a sealed system. But it does keep our food cold. Just dont put anything the top shelf of the fridge because it will freeze. Thanks for the 1 year warranty Whirlpool! You timed it perfectly! What a joke.

I have had a $3000 GE Profile fridge for 6 years. It died. Tech says turf it. I bought a whirlpool. Hopefully it lasts longer. These expensive fridges seem to be very undependable. What is a family supposed to do when a refrigerator stops working and repairs take days or weeks? Is there a courtesy fridge for a loaner? They are big and heavy. What a royal pain.

Despite my claim being submitted within the first 4 months of purchase, Whirlpool would not assist in solving our issue. We purchased all major appliances from Whirlpool, to furnish our new home in August 2021. All appliances were white. The top of our gas range began discolouring immediately following the first use. The inside of the four corners immediately began to ware due to heat. I figured Id have time to put my claim in, and thought to see if it got worse. Once I finally had time to deal with the issue, I contacted them only to find out that we only had 30 days from the date of purchase (of which included 3 months of waiting for the products to arrive) to claim the issue, given that it was considered Cosmetic. Easy fix, since theyd simply have to change the top of the stove, but Whirlpool denied our claim. Do not purchase this product, unless youre looking for a sub-standard product and customer service.

We have had this microwave 3 years. The first thing we noticed was that baked potatoes were way overdone and nothing heated up correctly when using the sensor Not a big deal - just stopped using the sensor button. Now, we keep getting the open/close door message keeps coming up. I have done all the recommended fixes with no luck. Now we need to have a repairman come out to fix it. It seems when you are paying over $300.00 for a microwave, it should last longer. If I had known it would be such a poor quality, I would have bought a less expensive one and definitely a different brand. We do not use a microwave on a daily basis, so it certainly did not crap out from overuse. I would not recommend this to anyone. Save your money or you will be spending much more on repairs.

Purchased washer and dryer combo on 07-08-2013. I have a family of just 2 now. Under normal conditions I thought the machine should last 12 to 15 years. After 2 years of service the bearing and seal on the tub failed, I had to order parts and rent a tool to install. Then after 3 years had to replace suspension kit for the tub. Now after 3 1/2 years the water drain pump has failed and the sensor on the motor is acting up. This machine listed for $800. I did not purchase extended warranty but I have repaired myself. If I had not repaired myself the cost would have exceeded the cost of new. I have now purchased another makers model machine. I think Whirlpool should buy this machine back.

This is the second time since I have had the fridge in September 2011. I had to have a new compressor installed about two months ago, and now, it is doing the same thing again. I had lost all my food before and its happening again. Last time, it took over three weeks before the fridge got fixed.

We have had our Whirlpool oven for 3 years now. They make top of the line products and the oven cooks very well. I have cooked a lot of cakes and cupcakes in my Whirlpool oven. If I had to buy another oven it would be a Whirlpool.

I purchased the original Whirlpool refrigerator in August of 2013. That was replaced in October of 2013 due to a factory defect that left the ice maker unusable. In April of 2014, we now have a factory defect that has resulted in the entire unit unable to keep the fridge below 70 degrees F. It has been 2 weeks since the fridge died and Whirlpool has informed me it will be another 2 weeks until a replacement fridge will be delivered. I have spoken with countless customer service reps and 2 customer service managers, as well as 1 executive from the executive office in Michigan. Several times Whirlpool has dropped the ball in this process. The original repair appointments were booked and had to be rebooked because the repair company could not accommodate the appointment times Whirlpool booked. It took over a week to get the fridge declared dead. Then another week just to process the request through tech support... After speaking with 2 customer service managers and being told it was being rushed, I spoke with an executive who said the claim had never been submitted and it would take another 24 to 48 hours to process. I spoke with the executive after the 48 hours and he said the fridge will be delivered in 2 weeks! 4 weeks without refrigeration for a second factory defect. I have explained that I have a newborn (6 weeks old when this started) and a 2 year old, and we have had up to 9 people staying in the house (to visit with the baby) over this period and that I need a fridge to keep my breast milk cold. I was told I would receive a $75 gift card and a $125 check to help with food and costs associated with the loss of our fridge... Neither have arrived. We are spending quite a bit on ice just to be able to keep food and milk cold to temp. so we dont have to spend money on eating out (too expensive for us). I am shocked by Whirlpool’s poor customer service. The first time the fridge was replaced I dealt with one person and didnt have to call the customer service line every day. I wish I had her number still.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator in April. The motor ran constantly. The company replaced it for me but it was back ordered until July. The one delivered in July kept freezing the items in my refrigerator. I had two service people come out to replace parts in the next couple of months. The entire time having to throw out frozen food. Finally, they had another one delivered in November. This one continues to freeze food in the refrigerator. Mind you, I just got it and they want to start again with service. Seems others are having the same issues. My 4 month old gas oven is also not broiling. Customer service is awful. Every time I call the wait time is over an hour and then they don’t really help. I would not recommended Whirlpool to anyone.

I have had our new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer for about a year. I absolutely hate it. I along with all the other people that is complaining about their Cabrio. I have found it to stain my clothes, not get them clean... Sometimes not even get part of them wet. I wash every load now no matter how small on the deep water option. I still have to add about 3 to 6 gals of water after it fills to try to help them get as clean as I possible can. I have stopped using fabric softener because I believe that is what may be leaving the stains on the clothes because it doesnt dilute it. Also you cant soak clothes in the washer long enough. I know it offers a presoak but when the clothes are not getting wet... That is not soaking. I tried to fill it up and raise the lid so it wouldnt wash until I was ready for it to wash but it automatically emptied the tub after a short time.It is funny watching the clothes when washing... Even I could tell they were not going to be washed well. I thought who in the world developed this washer. Certainly no one that had ever really considered what women need to wash clothes on a daily basis. I would sell it but I dont think anyone would buy it. If there is a class action suit I would consider joining in. Whirlpool could not have spent much effort in checking this washer out. A lot of money down the drain. I did not buy the dryer because of the lint vent being on top of it. What a mess those make when you have to empty it. So I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL. Now that is a wonderful dryer! As one homemaker to another I suggest you check it out. Never had one I liked more.

If you are in the market for a new washing machine, steer clear of the Whirlpool Cabrio (or any Whirlpool for that matter). We have had issues with ours from the beginning. We had Whirlpool techs come out and were continually unable to fix the issues. Eventually they told them that it was not broken, even though one tech told us it definitely was. After four service calls they just stopped sending out techs and told us too bad. Now after less than two years it is leaking from the bottom. Yeah, Whirlpool, theres no problem with it. Save yourself the potential headache and get something else. Anything else.

Cabrio poor design - My number one issue with Cabrio is that it is destroying blue jeans. About 7-8 pairs now. It simply rips a hole in the leg. Also, sometimes clothes arent wet, usually not clean.

This dishwasher was a mere 2.2 years old, installed by Lowes-hired technician and the part will cost $168 through Whirlpool, plus labor on both first visit and installation visit. I would not advise to purchase this or similar product from Whirlpool. What really makes me upset is that I learned from customer service that this unit was made in the USA.

Does not get clothes clean. Period!! Takes just over 1hr. Noisy, lasted 3 1/2 years, transmission broke, take the warranty with a washer/dryer. Whirlpool was the top of the line, front loaders give less trouble, agitators clean better, go for the cheaper versions, our loaner Whirlpool, WTW4850H or WTW4950H washes quicker and cleaner than the Cabrio Energy Star.

We purchased our basic Whirlpool refrigerator model # WRT318FZDM05 from Lowes on September 13, 2019. We bought one of the more basic models available because we have owned higher end fancier refrigerators which have had multiple problems and not worked. So this is the 18.2 cubic feet top freezer model. About six weeks after owning it (conveniently just past the 30 day return window at Lowes!) we began to notice that our freezer wasnt freezing properly or making enough ice. There is only one control panel in this basic fridge so we turned it up. While this cranked up the freezer, the refrigerator compartment began to freeze its contents. So we had to choose between soft serve ice cream and refrigerated eggs and milk or hard serve ice cream and frozen eggs and milk! Finally after the holidays the certified Whirlpool appliance technician came out and recommended a repair with replacement of start device and control board. His report: Freezer not freezing, found the compressor turning on and off. The refrigerator was not even 4 months off the floor and the problem began when it was only 2 months old! When you call the Whirlpool number heres what they say: Welcome to the Whirlpool customer exp. For over a century weve believed in everyday care. Lets see how we can care for you today.Well, when someone calls with a very recently purchased refrigerator whose START DEVICE and CONTROL BOARD no longer work properly that person should be able to return the defective appliance and get a new one. Nope. Not with the Whirlpool experience. You are told that youll have to wait and see if those devices which are ten days away from being replaced in your new refrigerator will fix the problem. So basically NO do not buy from Whirlpool. Turns out a century of everyday care (??) hasnt taught them much about how in this century people need a refrigerator that works everyday!!!!

We bought this dishwasher because it was rated on the quieter side... It was purchased in 1999 and is still operating like new. I am amazed it has never broken down. I have wanted to replace it but my wife says Why?

I couldnt wait to get a front loader and hated it. As soon as I saved up enough money, I bought the water saver Whirlpool top loader. I love it! The clothes get cleaner and dont smell musty. Im very happy with whirlpool.

I never knew an appliance could be manufactured as poorly as my brand-new, expensive, side-by-side whirlpool refrigerator. Within the first year, the icemaker line malfunction because of a fan problem, causing the line to freeze, break, and leak water everywhere. The ice maker stopped working. Everything on the top shelf In the refrigerator freezes. Everything on the bottom shelf stays warm. The motor is so loud and can be heard of rooms away. It is less than two years old now, and I am sincerely considering buying a new refrigerator altogether.

Our side by side refrigerator is 2 1/2 years old. The LED lights are not working. Had to call repair service because one cant get into the housing without a service tech No9 normal screw in light bulb to replace 2 burned out light bulbs AND pay for the service call is $475.00. THIS IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY. I would expect to pay for a major repair BUT A LIGHT BULB. DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR WITH LED lights. This is a major flaw in their manufacturing and If they go out again the fridge will go to the landfill.

There is almost NOTHING I like about my new $1000 Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washing machine! The clothes dont get clean. Stains become PERMANENT because clothes are spun and matted so tightly together, the 2 inches of water allowed into the tub cant dissolve them. Fabric softener stays a gummy substance because it has to be SUCKED out of the dispenser, not sprinkled out with water. I pin socks together to keep them in pairs, but this machine rips them apart and the safety pin end up in the bottom. My bathroom rugs are shredded. You cant add an extra item if you need to, because the tiny portion of water leaks out. There were DRY spots still on the sheets at the end of a cycle. This machine is an engineering nightmare, sort of like the Edsel. The only action programmed to clean the clothes is a wiggling motion on the floor of the tub. The tub spins so much, energy goes through the roof. Man was given 3 survival elements to assure our existence on earth: water, air, and food. Why are engineers trying to faze out our use of water? This machine has dazzling looks, but NOTHING else. I am so sorry I didnt read all the reviews first. Who would ever think the environmentalists would inflict such pain on our basic domestic obligations! If I dont get my money back or a decent exchange at Sears where we bought it, Im taking the machine to their parking lot and commencing a show with a baseball bat.

I have had this refrigerator for over 25 years and cant ask for anything better than that. Would buy another Whirlpool refrigerator. Has original french doors at top and bottom door on freezer. However, I dont particularly like the pull out drawer that the new refrigerators have now as I get so much more room with a door. The new refrigerators have improved rubber around the doors. That is the only thing I had to replace on this refrigerator.

Whirlpool has been a trusted name for us for many years. The large tub has cut my wash load in half. Large towels to delicates have never been a problem. My washer is going on 12 yrs old and runs like a champ.

Lasted a whole two years, no warranty from Whirlpool. No biggie until I read countless complaints that Whirlpool OTR microwaves dont last. When I was young we had a Whirlpool microwave oven that lasted 15 years. Apparently this one (made in China) is the direction Whirlpool has chosen to take, cheaper products for higher profits.

In less than 4 years the top lid broke at a poorly designed hinge point (+$200). Cabrio washer mercilessly tangles/twists clothes; HE does not totally rinse all detergent from clothing necessitating extra rinse (so much for efficiency); now at 4 year point bearing has gone and machine sounds like a freight train (+$250). Do not recommend this item if this what to look forward to. Called Whirlpool initially about tangling/twisting problem and just got lip service about arranging clothes. Duh, did that already.

I purchased a whirlpool under counter oven - my main reason for not buying something cheap was the safety of my family - I chose the AKZM656 eye level oven. The stove is about two years old, but we do not use it that much. Two days ago my wife set the timer and placed a dish in for cooking; she then went outside to water the garden. About twenty minutes later she returned as something was burning- the oven reached a temperature of 350 degrees and would have burnt the whole kitchen down if she did not spot it. Now surely the oven should be designed to switch off if sensors fail? I reported this to Hirsch (Ballito) but they say they have no one servicing the Richards Bay area. I am not sure if this stove should be fixed as it is obviously not safe and makes me wonder how Whirlpool get safety standards passed on these items. Surely you expect better when buying a well-known whirlpool brand?

I have had this washer for about 7 years. I have not had any problems with it. I wish that it is stingy with rinse water. I see suds on the items before the rinse cycle and it doesnt seem to use enough water for a good rinse. Therefore I use the extra cycle.

I have owned the Whirlpool Cabrio for one year now. I cannot express enough what a complete waste of money this machine is. It literally does not wash clothes in even the most basic interpretation of washing. Clothes are almost in the same position as when they were put in the machine. Dont even bother with stain removal, it just rubs stains in and makes them worse. Seriously beware. Very expensive and not worth one dime. Im replacing with the Maytag. I should have stayed with in the first place. I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again. Must have skipped the entire product development on this one. I wouldnt even give it a one star review but the submission wouldnt process without it. WASTE OF $$ DO NOT BUY.

I love the large capacity of the washer. But something is turning my whites YELLOW! I have never had this problem in 40 years of washing clothes. All of my whites come out yellowish and I am getting what could be rust stains on heavier cloth (white denim). Also, I regularly used the soak setting on my old Whirlpool. That setting is not available in the Cabrio. I have tried catching between cycles and the drum is constantly emptied. I wish Id read these reviews before I bought.

French Door model WRF989SEAE01 - Fridge runs very loud after 3 weeks. Ice build up inside of fridge - back left. After numerous repairs, dealer replaced unit with new. Three weeks, loud noise again. After 7 months, the ice maker has quit, the freezer is thawing items, the fridge part is not cold enough (all settings have been boosted). Now Im concerned it is going to completely fail or burn our new house down. All new Whirlpool appliances in new home and this thing is proving to be extremely unreliable. Dealer is now out of loop (gave up) and told us to deal directly with Whirlpool. After 2 units and same issues, it has to be a design flaw.Can anyone start to move on a class action lawsuit or do I wait until it blows up or burns down the house? We are of retirement age, no kids, and our appliances have had NO ABUSE. Another acquaintance has same fridge about 2 years old and it has completely quit.

I bought the washer and dryer. I had problems right away. The glass lid has broken and replaced 4x at the hingeless. YES 4 times – 1 time under warranty. I complain, they gave me 1 extra year of a warranty. Big deal... Was told its not a recalled item because it didnt cause of fire. The dryer has caught fire 2x as the bottom fills up with lint. I messaged and sent picture and they did nothing. Said it was up to me to clean the unit. I am not able to take the dryer apart to clean it. The lint cannot be reached without removing the top and back of dryer and taking out the drum and the belt off. Nothing but grief. Giant expense to maintain all the broken parts not to mention labor fees… Very very unsatisfied. And they do not care!!!! They will never get another penny of my money!!!!! Im not sure how they get away with this!!! I spent $2000 to buy a good set that would last and all I got was junk. Not to mention the awful smell always having to bleach or cleaning it all the time.

3 months after I got the fridge, the ice maker went out. 3 months later it started to work again. Replace the water filters 2 times per yr. It is noisy when it makes ice.

Purchased Whirlpool gas hot water heater from LOWES on 9/25/2016. After the installation, tried to light the pilot light for 90 minutes. Followed the recommended instructions, I could not get it to light. Called LOWES they told me to call Whirlpool. I did so, and told them I will return the heater to LOWES the next day. Whirlpool customer service very bad. Returned the heater to LOWES the next morning, went to a local plumbing shop and purchased a Rheem heater. After installation it lit very first attempt. Now three weeks later I get a letter in mail from collection agency that LOWES turned me in for stopping payment on the check I wrote them. After reading the many negative reviews and they disregard for my and my familys safety, nobody should purchase a Whirlpool gas heater from LOWES.

My electric stove is only four years old. In December, 2021, the control panel broke. Digital read out - numbers can’t be read. Service said it is control panel - can’t be found anywhere. Oven has caught on fire twice. House full of smoke. Whirlpool stated my first mistake was not calling them first. I dont have warranty and couldn’t afford a service call so I have DTE protection plan. They sent about appliance repair at their cost. Man said it is control panel and NONE can be found. Whirlpool can’t send THEIR serviceman for another two weeks. I was told to keep circuit breaker on stove pulled. I am 76 and my husband is 84. We can’t go out to eat every night for two reasons: we are on a fixed income - finances will not allow. Plus we both have health issue so I have to cook/bake a certain way. It is going on three months. We can’t afford a new stove every four years. I want Whirlpool to work out some compensation for my stress, aggravation, loss of bakeware that burned in the oven. Took us two days to clean the oven mess, including the glass door - don’t know how it didn’t explode. We had to run downstairs- at 84, moving fast is not that easy, to pull circuit breaker. I could not make two birthday cakes that I had committed to. Can’t bake or make casseroles. We need help of some kind.

I purchased this range in 2010 and needed to replace the control panel/switch membrane in 2011 and it was covered by the warranty. Then I purchased an extended warranty and needed to replace the same part again. Then I replaced it again in July 2016. This part cost $147 and you cannot operate the oven without it. There is something wrong with the range that is causing the failure and the cause of the failure should have been fixed when it was under warranty but now that it isnt under warranty, Whirlpool has refused to correct the problem or compensate me for the cost to replace the part.

First three months, the main water gasket broke. Thank you for lots of water all over the kitchen. I pulled the washer out to inspect the cause, wanted to see if it was house plumbing or dishwasher. The hose was hanging off the bottom of the machine. During the 45-minute call, I got in my car and drove to plumbing supply and applied a new hose clamp. The next day, a free service call, the repairman said it was the second one this week, Thats just what I would have done, but would not put the machine back. (void the warranty, finish work, etc...not sure how he would have serviced the machine if I did not pull it out for him). A few months later the wheels on the top shelves give way/fall off the rack, so we have those replaced. As soon as one is replaced, the other side falls off... Now, approximately 14 months into installation, the dishwasher does not work. The control panel is flashing and will not start. What a runaround with KitchenAid. We were told there was a recall on the hose clamp (we never got one). We cannot have the control panel worked on until the hose clamp is certified... That will take a week. Then we can call back... What a hassle. We bought this expensive product on good reviews. We are most disappointed. There is very little concern for making the product good. Its incredible that so much can go wrong in such a short time of limited use. Once/day... The hose clamp is just poor engineering. The rest is terrible quality and support

Three failures in 14 months. First, the detergent dispenser broke. Next, right after the warranty would have been over (fortunately, I purchased from Costco which automatically extends warranty for another year) the pump failed and had to be replaced. Now the heat element is obviously faulty because the dishes are cold through all cycles. So I have to call them back again. I have no complaints about the service company. They were polite and reasonably prompt. Just appears that the product is JUNK! I am going to Costco tomo and will explain the situation. They probably can’t do anything but maybe they will go to a better product for others.

After reading many of the 1,500 +/- complaints about this inferior product, I guess I should consider myself lucky. Ours didnt fail until this past Saturday, March 22, 2014. We purchased this Whirlpool (American Water Heater Company) water heater FG1H4040T3NOV at Lowes, and had it professionally installed, in October 2004, and we have had no issues until this past Saturday when we woke up to no hot water. After checking for the obvious, and finding no apparent cause for the failure, I considered it a fluke and relighted the pilot. The pilot took a few attempts to light, but it lit, and the burners came on.Three days later, we woke to no hot water again. This time, we placed a service call to the company that did the initial install. The technician came out, and after his inspection he informed me that the thermocouple/burner assembly needed to be replaced. He also informed me that this is a well-known issue, and Whirlpool has been sending out free updated replacement parts. He called Whirlpool, only to be told that they are no longer offering free, updated parts. Whirlpool also cited that the water heater was out of warranty (by less than 5 months). He gave me Whirlpools number, so I could contact them myself.As I smelled a rat, I began to do some online research about this issue, and, to my chagrin, I found out that I was far from alone with this issue. As of this writing, 1,500+ consumer and professional complaints, a settled class-action lawsuit, etc., etc. I contacted Whirlpool, explained my situation to the support rep, and, he proceeded to tell me that he couldnt help me with free replacement parts, due to the warranty being expired (less than 5 months). I argued with him, stating that this is not a warranty issue, but is in-fact a design/manufacturing defect issue, that has resulted in a redesign/re-manufacture. I cited the myriad of online data and negative testimonials, and I reminded him about the settled class-action lawsuit on this very topic. He acknowledged all of the above, was unimpressed, and offered to sell me the parts.After 15 minutes of back and forth, I asked to be escalated to the next level. But, of course the supervisor was unavailable, and If Id care to leave my name and number... yeah, right. Bottom line, Im very angry! I paid good money to Lowes for Whirlpools product, with a nine-year warranty. I had it professionally installed, and we have no hot water due to poorly designed parts. And... I am being forced to purchase the redesigned parts. Its truly unsatisfying to be an American consumer these days!

I purchased a Whirlpool water heater with the Flame Lock Safety System on 6/4/12. When installing the water heater, the cold water pipe would not screw into the top of the water heater. I exchanged this water heater for a new water heater of the same make and model. I brought this water heater home and had it installed and noticed that the flame on the burner was orange and too high. I called the 877-817-6750 number for warranty and was told by the customer service rep that it was either the gas regulator or the orifice inside the water heater. I was told to contact a plumber to take care of this issue and it was not a warranty claim and not their problem. I then went to the Lowes store where I purchased the unit and spoke to a manager. The manager called the same number I called and was told the same thing, that I was responsible for the repairs to the unit. How can this not be covered? Both pieces are internal to the unit and were never touched during installation. I now have to remove and return this unit and install a new water heater that will not be a Whirlpool at my own expense. Do not buy Whirlpool.

I purchased a Whirlpool Gold side-by-side Refrigerator on June 15, 2013. The freezer works fine but the refrigerator does not feel that cold and when I put a thermometer in there, it reads 42-43 deg although the refrigerator is set at 37 deg. The tech was just here and told me to put a thermometer in a glass of water and read it again. His thermometer read 46 deg when reading a bottle in the door although he explained that he had had the door opened for a while during his visit. He said his reading of the bottle upon opening the door was 36 deg. I do not believe that. I just measured some bottled water temperature and it was 48 deg. I have a hard time believing the temp went up 12 degrees and he has been gone for a half hour. My food is cold but not like you expect from a refrigerator. My bottled water and soda, etc., are not very cold. The worst is the water dispenser. That water is barely cooler than tap water. There is almost no difference. The water temperature has been in the 60s when Ive measured it. The tech says the first glass wont be cold (have never had that with any other refrigerator) but even if you get the second and third glasses of water, they arent any colder... maybe a couple of degrees. If anyone else is having this problem and Whirlpool will do nothing, then Im interested in legal action.

We have had nothing but problems out of our refrigerator in the past 5 months. We purchased it a year ago in April and they have already replaced 7 parts on it. It still doesn’t freeze, and we have no ice... We will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product ever again!!!

I purchased this piece of crap excuse for a washing machine, the Whirlpool Cabrio, almost 2 years ago, in September, 2015. Since that time I have had nothing but dissatisfaction about how it washes, and the extremely poor results. I contacted my sales associate early on, I was told, just like others who have purchased this machine, that it was a water-saving machine, and I needed to read the manual closely and just do what it said to do. I did that. Long story short, I am sick and tired of this machine, stopped using it, bought another machine that lets me choose how much water for each and every cycle, it washes extremely well, my clothes come out clean, it HAS AN AGITATOR, DIFFERENT BRAND, and I am very HAPPY with it! I will never ever buy a Whirlpool product again. I am well-known, have an extremely large number of friends, and I will be spreading the word that Whirlpool built a piece of crap. Never mind that piece of crap washing machine was mandated per government regulations to cut down on water, thats a bunch of crap. Users should not have to buy expensive cleaners, tote extra water to a washing machine that uses so little water that it barely covers the clothes, and no person should have to use a product like this. Never. Washed clothes from this machine stink, the odors will not leave my clothes, whites are now yellow, stained, and colors have white spots on them. Whirlpool, you have built this piece of crap, I hope you have large heapings of Karma! What a joke. What a useless company now, sell out and go play on the beach. You deserve the dirt, not your use-to-be-loyal customers.

We bought the over-the-range Whirlpool microwave, model #WMH53520AH-1, about four years ago from Pacific Appliance Sales Kitchen and Home inside a Best Buy store in San Diego. The Magnetron and Diode have malfunctioned and been replaced. Now the plastic around the door is falling apart, cracking, and splitting. This is unacceptable, poor craftsmanship, and low quality for the price of this Whirlpool appliance. This needs to be reported to the company and properly addressed. Until then, were staying away from any Whirlpool related products. We also own Cabrio W/D. The washing machine has had problems from year one. Im submitting a separate review for this appliance. Consumer beware!

My 1 year old Whirlpool top loader is an absolute nightmare. It does not complete cycles. Stops all the time with various error codes. My washing comes out soaking wet. The pipes on the inside comes loose and floods the house. The machine stops all the time with all the washing clogged on one side of the drum. It is a 16 kg capacity machine but you cannot even think of putting 8 kg laundry in there. I will never, ever buy any Whirlpool product again. Cheap scrap! Thats what it is.

I bought a Cabrio washer in late 2015. All Ive had is trouble with this joke of a product. After three years it wont do any cycle, the people at Whirlpool dont care. Please dont buy any Whirlpool product.

I bought this nightmare machine one year ago, and stop working. If I try to program a cycle it put itself lock so I can not use or program any cycle. I can not open the door and start a noise like it was draining without clothes at all. And when finally it ends, the machine is like dead, no works, no programs no nothing. I am sick of this appliance. It is almost new and just does not work as it should be. But the worst is customer service, OMG. They lie about everything. The technician came to see what was the problem and told me it was the card, so he could not do anything until the factory send the piece to the place where I live. Well this happened one month ago and I am still waiting for the service. My guarantee was still on time, but every day at customer service they have a excuse/lie that the piece is on my way and service will be completed. Well I am still waiting and nothing happens. I am desperate. No one cares about the customer. If I would have known or read the bad reviews about these washing machines I would have never bought it. I got it at Walmart. I regret deeply. I do not know where or what else to do. Nobody cares or listen. Shame on you Whirlpool.

After 48 years of marriage, I had never had a new, matching washer/dryer set. I had had several new washers, but only used dryers. These all were very good units and served me well for years. So I was excited to buy a new, matching set. I have never been soooo dissatisfied with anything in my life. As I have read from other reviews, the washer uses very little water, sometimes hardly enough to get the load of clothes wet, very little soap, and in my opinion, does hardly any agitating. I dont feel my clothes have ever appeared clean. The only ones that look clean were the ones that started out looking clean when I put them in. I know this is all an ecology thing, water saving, government guidelines, etc., but please give me my old washer back. It did enough agitation to get clothes clean. And the dryer usually will not get the jeans dry on the first attempt. I have tried various settings, and they just dont get dry. In short, I HATE THIS WASHER/DRYER SET. I have heard others talk about the same thing. No one likes them, but we are stuck with them. Would like to have the government step in and see how dissatisfied everyone is with them and force Whirlpool to give us our money back, trash these units, and buy something that actually works. PLEASE, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR WASHERS AND DRYERS, DONT BUY THESE. I believe they are called Cabrio.

Bought this washer/dryer set Jan 2020. No agitator but has nubs in the bottom. Huge washbasin that will have 5” water in the bottom. I watched the was cycle and my Nursing scrubs NEVER went underwater...ever. Yes, we made sure the center was wide open and didn’t cover the center, at all. Filled the basin 1/3 full. My daughter’s sweaters had been rubbed together so aggressively in the basin they were unwearable because the knit was pulled and fuzzy. Looked like they were run over in the street. Soap never rinsed out of the clothes. Two daughters developed skin rashes. After I took my clothes to a commercial washer and rewashed them, no more rashes. My mom called Whirlpool. They tell us use NO MORE than one teaspoon laundry soap. LOL! There isn’t even enough water to get the clothes wet! Try Deep Water cycle... Got 6” of water. Load requires an hour and 15 minutes to wash!! Machine is outrageously loud. Now the dryer... Takes over an hour to dry clothes. Not towels or jeans..just cotton t-shirts, nurse scrubs, socks. Takes two dry cycles. Bottom line? Two and a half hours to get one load of clothes that have soap residue and aren’t clean. Whirlpool is aware. DO NOT BUY these! You will regret it!

This machine is JUNK and in need of a recall!! DO NOT BUY!!! This was purchased at Lowes for nearly $800 a couple of years ago and what a waste of money. During the first year, they had to send out a tech that told me he was not familiar with top loaders and was not sure why the clothes were not getting clean, nor why they came out with a white residue on the dark clothes. We used the machine cleaner - which the cycles take nearly an hour (how is that efficient?), put in a load of dark clothes WITH NO SOAP and guess what? Then he had me dump in a gallon of vinegar to clean the tub and the wall of the washer and repeated the process and guess what? He informed me that it was just lint. Well, after several visits and using a suggested pin drop of soap, the problem remained. I finally asked him if he was so sure it was lint and not soap residue, would he be willing to taste the lint? It was soap.Obviously after an hour of washing in the efficient washer, the clothes are not getting rinsed. I know this because in just putting in less than ten dark t-shirts, they came out dry!!! He informed me that since he was a contractor for Whirlpool, he was not allowed to continue to come back as he resolved the problem that I was using too much soap! Well, that is only part of the problem. This piece of crap leaks. We not only have a water softener, but a household filter system. In just the last three months, we have replaced the hoses as they are corroding. We were informed by Lowes that the hoses that came with the washers were from China and that they have been replacing them with US made hoses to the customers at no charge due to the amount of returns. Well, those too have been corroding and now I once again have water on the floor.It cost $1.75 to take my clothes to the Laundromat, 26 minutes to wash and ten minutes to get there and back. That is what I have been doing, and using my 23 year old dryer when I get home. It is a shame that the company is not responding to an obvious problem. I only wash two loads in a week - not like I am beating the thing to death with numerous loads or heavy loads. I will not recommend, in fact, I BEG you not to spend your hard earned money on this junk. Buy a $200 washer and if it too craps out in three, four or five years... you are still ahead. You will even save money on headache medication and save your sanity.

Cabrio Washer - We were getting unbalanced load messages and the washer would stop. I called in a serviceman and he said it wasnt worth fixing. It would be cheaper to buy a new one. This washer is only 5 years old.

Large tub capacity. Door opens wide without stopping. White Finish has not faded or chipped. Quiet and rarely makes noise even when overloaded. Machine bought 12 years ago and has never needed a repair visit. It has been moved from 2 different locations by using the special brackets. Easy to use detergent holder and fabric softener.

Purchased range 10-26-12. Had 3 service calls first year. 1st time, it started. When service guy came a few months later, same problem. A new igniter was installed. 3rd time, another igniter was installed. My year warranty had run out but still had same problem. Asked for a new range, was rejected. Im afraid if burner is lit, had we try to start oven we are going to have explosion.

Both the washer and dryer make terrible screeching noise. The dryer only dries on time drying. The store I bought them from have been here over 7 times too fix them. They still are not fixed. Just a terrible experience with this set from day one, load one.

Hi team, I have to lodge this complaint after because of getting continuous problems I have suffered with my Whirlpool fully automatic washing machine top load 11 kg bloom wash 360 degree. I purchased the abovesaid brand new washing machine on 1st Jan 2017. Since the purchase I am struggling with this machine. I raised the fault in the beginning itself and the service was done on 5th of Feb. Jobs sheets enclosed here with.Similar issues kept on arising and whenever I raised those issues with the whirlpool team, they mentioned that company policy is to repair the faulty part if it’s in warranty and they will not replace. They suggested me to go for the AMC and to be on the safer side, I also took AMC under warranty period only. (AMC card - My cheque dates and service details all are mentioned onto it.) Recently I faced another issue on 26th Feb for which ticket was raised. Engineer visited on 27th Feb and advised us to replace the motor part. On 3rd March they replaced motor mechanism and ball-bearings. Then engineer advised us to check the working by giving a trial wash.I started the machine to wash clothes and after 20 mins machine started making abnormal noise. (I have made video of it, audio of the video captured the noise). I again called up the service engineer immediately and informed him about the voice coming out of machine and he gave a lame answer by saying “It is normal sound”. Then I again called Whirlpool and requested senior engineer visit to resolve the issue. Senior engineer visited and told us that one of motor screw wasn’t tighten properly. It opened while running the machine which completely damaged the motor.After that I am continuously calling to service centre to get the updates on my machine motor replacement. Finally they mentioned that they dont have motor part available with them due to company ceased this model productivity. When I raised this issue with the Whirlpool team they mentioned that they can only pay 40% of the machine value, because I had AMC. However, I did mention that this damage is caused by the negligence of their service engineer, but they didn’t discuss anything about it.When I continuously chased them they dropped me an email to refund only the 40% of the machine value. I feel cheated and harassed!! When I bought the machine they gave us 10 years warranty now they mention that motor is not available as it’s a 5 years old model. My grievance is that since I had already taken the AMC and the damage was also caused by their engineer, why I have to bear the loss. I have already struggled a lot with this machine since last 5 years from the day I bought this machine and now I am losing my hard earned money. Kindly do the needful. After the one-year warranty ran out, my wife ran the self-cleaning feature, which since Ive found is a well-documented problem in online forums. The oven overheats and blows out the thermostat, fuse and some other cylinder device, all in all a $600 repair. I am furious that both Whirlpool and Ikea (where we purchased the electric oven) keep completely silent on this issue, not bothering to tell homeowners to use this function at their own risk. Just wipe it out! The well known nature of this self-destruction and potential high cost of repair should be information given to consumers, but of course this would affect their sales numbers. BE WARNED!

We just love the hidden icemaker, the outside display for temps, ice, water, external H2O and crushed or cubes, and the LED inside lighting is fantastically bright, the space, moveable shelves, the quiet, the overall efficiency, huge drawers freezer, the wide open doors, the separate temps for vegetables, cheeses, cold cuts, etc. The separate filters in the refrigerator eliminate any smells. Easiest water filter to change we have ever had on any make refrigerator. Over the years, this is the first refrigerator of perhaps 7, we have truly never regretted buying it and frequently comment how happy we are with it!

I bought my new ceramic top electric range/oven with convection, and the aqua-lift cleaning system in spring 2017. The aqualift cleaning function is a joke, so be prepared to be down on your hands and knees scrubbing. Im careful, and Ive not spilled anything yet, but the oven still gets splatters from roasting meats, etc. Id hate to see what Ill have to deal with when I actually let something spill. Today, as I was down on my hands and knees trying to clean it, I noticed that the enamel is chipping off where the oven racks slide in. Great. I have never had an oven where the enamel came off, much less within a year. I am struggling with heart failure, and I am not up to fighting with Whirlpool.

We have a 2 1/2 yr. old Whirlpool gas stove. We have had the mechanic here several times as it would not ignite. We also have had the control panel repaired twice as it melted. It is melted again but they will do nothing. I tried to clean the oven with their AquaLift technology and had to re-do it four times and still have residue which appears to be permanent. We are very frustrated with it. We have used Whirlpool appliances for over 40 yrs. but will not buy another. Model#WFG710HOASO, Serial#R21712236.

I have not use wash machine for 46 years, however, since I the caregiver for my wife (with Parkinson), Im the user of our washing machine, High Efficiency Whirlpool for 8 months. It Is very easy to use including the dials. It is very efficient to use.

I bought a Whirlpool washing machine, model WTW4855HW, and was I ever shocked at how noisy it was. The wash cycle had a grinding noise that was just too much. After 2 loads I sent it back and didnt regret having to pay the restocking fee. I just couldnt believe that with all the technology we have today, that they couldnt build a quiet machine. Im an engineer so I know there are methods through gearing, belts, soundproofing, etc, to produce a quiet machine. Remember the dishwasher of days gone by. You couldnt watch TV with the dishwasher going. Nowadays, you can stand in the kitchen and have a nice conversation with it running. The technology exists. As a matter of a fact, my old Maytag that finally went bad after 10 years was fairly quiet. So, if you dont have your washing machine in the garage or basement room where you can close the door, dont buy this machine! Bruce in Portland

We purchased a Whirlpool hot water heater approximately 4-5 years ago and have had problems with the pilot staying lit. I contacted Whirlpool and their trouble shooting included doing a draft test (I am a teacher not a plumber) and removing the closet door that houses the unit. I am very frustrated by this entire ordeal and would like if they would replace the entire unit. At this point I dont want another Whirlpool product. The plumber made a service call at 12 noon and by 3:30 we had luke warm water and by 6:00 pm the water was ice cold! I will never recommend any Whirlpool products.

My side-by-side refrigerator leaks water. I find water on the floor but we cant find the source. When I called Whirlpool, they stated its not under warranty, but we can schedule a repair appointment, I declined. Im still looking for the leak. Its intermittent, sometimes I dont see water for a while. The last fridge we had, we had to get rid of it because the sides and front got too hot to the touch. I was afraid it would cause a fire.

I purchased 5 Whirlpool appliances when I moved into a new home approximately 5 years ago. The selection buttons on the plastic panels on the front of 3 (dishwasher, washer and dryer) out of the 5 appliances has either broken completely through or are in the process of breaking through, leaving an ugly appearance on the front of the appliances. When inquiring if I could replace these panels, I was told that one (dishwasher) would cost me $100.00. I believe that the structure of these panels has been extremely poorly manufactured. Why would you put perforation around each button? It is obvious that they would push through. What can Whirlpool do for me?
