We purchased a LG LXF28968ST/02 in March of 2014 from Home Depot and the 5 year protection plan as well. We have always had issues with the ice maker. Well it just stopped working in March of this year (2020) so out of protection plan. LG technician came out and diagnosed leak in the yoder loop. Unrepairable. Turns out after more digging, there is a class action lawsuit going on against LG for this very problem! I have reached out to the class action attorneys to get resolve. I like the style of the fridge but this is BS after just six years.

I bought this refrigerator three years ago when I bought my new house. However, this refrigerator has broke down about every 6 to 8 months. I had a warranty with Lowe’s for the first two years which covered it. Now that is expired. LG tells me I have a 10-year warranty and they’re going to fix it now it’s broke again. But I would never ever ever ever buy an LG again.

The knobs of this range are beyond cheap. When using the super burner (right front knob), I turned it to the OFF position. I left the house shortly after and received a call from my family that they smelled gas. Went home of find, that the right front burner in off position did not have a flame, but left the gas on, thus filling my house with gas. When I call LG, they gave me the run around then said, since I purchased it from Best Buy, I had to call them to complain about the knobs. Now for the math, 5 knobs, 3 broke. By the way, one of the knobs that did not break had a metal strip around it, to reinforce the plastic. Husband works in quality and said it would have cost them around $1.00 per knob to put that little piece of metal on each knob. LG stand behind your stuff! And build more durable knobs to start! WILL NEVER BUY LG AGAIN.

I have a glass top double oven range. I had issue almost from the very beginning. First off the knobs turn too freely and have started a couple small fires due to this. Just having my dog walk by and bump a knob with his tail turns the burners on. The biggest issue Im now facing is that my right hand burners will not turn on unless the left hand burners are also on and even then they only produce high heat. I tried to get my issues addressed while the appliance was still under warranty but LG is horrible to deal with. They requested a copy of my receipt which I provided but unfortunately they dont have people smart enough their to read the receipt where my range is clearly listed. I have given up dealing with them and will end up just replacing this hunk of junk and will never buy another LG and recommend everyone else avoids them too!

I had a an old Kenmore dishwasher that lasted some 20+ years. It worked great but after so much use (twice a day!), I had to replace this n that on it but overall it was awesome! The end came when we were no longer able to buy the electronic board to operate (most of the repairs/replacement we did on our own, following the schematics and watching Youtube video instructions). Alas, finally, it died and the search was on for a new dishwasher. I read many reviews and settled on the LG. That was my first mistake. The LG was installed 6.18.18 (model #LDT7808ST). I was very excited to have a new, modern dishwasher after all these years! It was sadly short lived. Just a few short months later, I was sick of hearing the bing bing bing that goes off to alert the user of escaping steam. Except there wasnt any escaping steam. When the repairman came out ($150), he told me it was a problem with this model in that the steam created was leeching into the electronics and causing the board to short out, thus the bing bing bing noises. He replaced the board with a newly designed board to alleviate this issue that LG knew about. Finally the sound stopped and all was well. Except a few months later the binging began again. During the interim, I found on two different occasions, small chunks of black rubber. Now what?? I searched inside the dishwasher but couldnt find anything...until yesterday. Now I realize its part of the cowling that feeds water inside the tub. Unfortunately in order to see exactly whats going on with it, I have to figure out how to remove the lower water arm. And because this cowling has become unstable, its blocking the arm from turning freely. So now I have a lower armature that is half-way turning and binging and bonging and dishes that are being poorly washed. COLOR ME DONE! DO NO BUY THIS BRAND DISHWASHER!! I paid over $1,000 and its falling apart after a year and a half. LG brags that the motor has a ten year warranty. That is little value when the rest of the machine is falling apart before a year is even over!

We have had an LG refrigerator for 6.5 years (Model LFC25765ST). It stopped cooling one day. When I called LG Canadas Customer Service Center (in Manila, Philippines) the agents were all very pleasant and professional. However, the experience to get a qualified technician out to support or repair the problem was beyond belief! The management in charge of this division, or divisions responsible to coordinate, and execute on field service and repair are irresponsible and doing incredible damage to the LG brand. Because LG insists on doing the services themselves, the experience is HORRIBLE! They have authorized a very small number of local companies/technicians to do warranty work as well, but the list is really short, and should include a much larger list of qualified service techs. I have 3 LG appliances currently. When I bought them, they were all serviceable by the company/dealer I bought them from. LG changed that a few years back, and really screwed up the potential to have appliances repaired by qualified companies with a positive experience. The details of all the pitfalls of my experiences over a 6 day period and my 9 different calls to the customer service group are too numerous to list here. JUST AVOID using LG techs to perform service if you already have an LG appliance, and AVOID BUYING any LG appliances no matter what!!!

I bought an LG Range model LRE3981ST from Home Depot in February 2011. On July 2011, I noticed rust spots on the front door of the range; I called service and booked a tech to come out. After waiting for an hour (and now late for work), the technician called me and said he did not have approval for the service call, and it will be a $75 charge. I was also asked why I didn’t read the service contract, so I told him not to bother to come out. I called the customer service and pulled it out of them that there is a service call fee of $75.00. I called Home Depot and explained the situation. They said they will give me the $75.00 fee back on my credit card, and to go ahead in booking an appointment. I tried today (August 10) to make an appointment. LG said to call back on August 15 since they will not show any available appointments until that date. I was also told that rust spots are not covered. Why did I pay for an extended warranty? I will now never buy another LG product again.

I bought my kitchen appliances less than 3 years ago, all LG brand, brand new from Home Depot. My dishwasher has given us some issues over the last year and come to find out the electronics are not covered under the 10 year warranty that is plastered on front of the appliance. No big deal, my husband was able to fix it. However, our refrigerator is a different story. It stopped cooling. We called LG. We waited a week for a repairman who was not qualified to fix refrigerators. He stated, I dont fix refrigerators. I work on washers and dryers. But with the help of the tech support he was able to determine it was the compressor. I was instructed to call LG with a case number and they would send out a qualified person to fix the problem. This was on a Friday. I called back late Monday afternoon to check on the progress and told they still havent found anyone to fix the issue. I was denied the privilege to speak with upper management and sent into the queue so long that it kicked me out. I called back 2 more times with the same result. I called back a 4th time and spoke with a different rep. He continues to tell me more of the same stuff. Not one rep was able to give me a time frame that I would have to wait for a service repair man because the truth is they dont have one in my area. He was unable to give me a number to upper management or connect me with someone higher up. He said when they send customers into the queue to be sent to the next level they keep being kicked back to them. So in other words LG does not back their products nor care about their customersThey believe it is acceptable for a product to last less than 3 years and a customer to be without a refrigerator for 2 weeks with no recourse. May I add this is during the quarantine, so I had more food in the fridge than normal and yes I lost a lot of food. But no worries for LG. They are not worried about the customer. Do NOT buy LG products. I have NEVER been so upset or dissatisfied with a product before. I am 44 years old and this is the first BAD product review I have written on any product.

I bought a washer and dryer from LG about three weeks ago and was not able to get it delivered due to Sandy (live in New Jersey). They moved my delivery date (understandable) and any consumer can understand these types of issues. But now I just got an automated message telling me that they are now moving it again. When you finally get through to an operator, they tell you all sorts of different answers (depending on the operator): (1) They are having computer problems and cannot communicate with their headquarters?!; (2) they had a system and computer failure; and (3) bad weather. I am without a washer/dryer because I moved into a new house and cannot get the family clothes washed. They also cannot confirm the next delivery date and if they cant deliver, theyll simply call again. Are you kidding me?! This is the worst, worst service I have received by any company for any product. LG customer service is terrible.

Ever since we bought our LG Model LFX31925ST in Nov. 2012, the ice maker is leaking on. You cant get ice from dispenser because all ice are frozen together and now the water is leaking from under the refrigerator and its not because of the water supply. Both ends of the water supply are dry. Now lets talk about the clothes dryer. We have the tech out 4 times because the tub was bent and they would not replace it until the manager came out and now its taking 2-3 hours to dry a normal load of clothes. We have a new LG gas stove and dishwasher still in the box new but were thinking on selling them and getting another brand because the LG line of appliance is not worth the money you spend for them and the quality is not there.

LGLRFC21760ST - Numerous calls to retailer and independent repairmen re: water spilling out from freezer and unto floor (It has ruined the hardwood floor in kitchen area) since purchase in 2005. Have paid lots in labor and parts over the years, they all do something different than the last guy..... and it keeps leaking. Called again and repairman said, You should have called us earlier. Really???? How many times do I have to call - and pay - to get it fixed? Now read that many others have experienced the same problem, but I have never been advised that it was a common issue with this fridge. Guy today said he would check to see if there were any bulletins issued on this matter for LG. Are those bulletins available to the public? Really, really frustrated after seven years with this problem. And now likely a very expensive bill. Plastic bins have also broken and will be replaced - poor design said the repairman - but that is the least of my problems.

I scheduled and paid for a service call to have my washer repaired 5 days in advance. Took the day off work so I could be there for the technician between 8a-12p. Technician calls on the afternoon prior and says he is going to come at 3p-5p because coming between 8a-12p would make all of the other customers wait due to the amount of time it will take to fix my washer. So this becomes my problem?! Then the technician gets angry with me because I called LG to see if they can reschedule and then tells me he is not coming out to fix my washer. I was nothing but professional with him, but there was no way he was coming into my house to fix my washer now. I spent nearly 4 hours of my day dealing with LG - waiting on hold, negotiating with them, trying to get a replacement technician, etc, until I finally decided that getting a refund for $260 repair bill would be better spent on a new washer and dryer (which didnt need to be replaced). Ill give you one guess as to which brand I DIDNT buy! I got a brand new Maytag washer and dryer for $1700, which means Ill never have to deal with LG again. I will never own another LG product. LG, if youre reading this, your customer service is the worst experience Ive ever had with a customer care team. I guess it says a lot that I would rather spend $1700 than give you $260 for a repair on a product that served me well for nearly 9 years. The dryer is still going strong, but Ill sell it to offset my new purchase. For me, it wasnt the product, but the people.

Have finally narrowed down the clothes washing machine that would best suit
Have finally narrowed down the clothes washing machine that would best suit our family needs. Our choice was the LG 5680HVAS. Unfortunately, or actually luckily, my wife decided to dry run the washer by attempting to simulate retrieving clothes once washed. She discovered, at 5 3, she could not reach the bottom of the tub. We then went on to investigate the Maytag designs as well as the Samsung, and GE. We did not review any others. It appears that all of the HE designs have incorporated a physically taller design to facilitate the deeper drum. Bottom line, if you are 5 5 or physically shorter, dont buy one of these machines as you will be greatly inconvenienced every time you use it.

Not satisfied with my LG Refrigerator #LFX25991ST. I purchased this refrigerator in February 17, 2013 and now the freezer/and main food compartment doesnt cool or freeze. However, the interior light does work. Called LG and they advised me that a Tech would be out in two days to check it out. So we bought ice. The Tech did arrive in two days, checked it out and found that the compressor had failed. My Fridge is still under warranty and should not have a problem getting it fixed, but its new. I kind of look at the fridge as buying a car, turns bad there is a lemon law that protects the customer. The compressor is like the engine of a car going bad. Well, the Tech did call in to Atlanta, Georgia to request a new compressor and should arrive in two days. He said it would take three (3) hours to replace. We will see this Thursday, Jul 25, 2013, if he is correct or even shows up.

LG model LFX31925ST - Came home to a loud noise coming from my 5-month old LG refrigerator, all the freezer food is thawed and the ice was melting in the door. I used the live online chat. I asked “Is there a fire danger, what should I do?” The response is, “Call the smart diagnosis department.” She gives me the number to call. The smart diagnosis department could not help. A day later LG called and gave us a phone number to set up in home repair. That company said it is difficult to communicate with LG and get parts or payment from LG. That person declined to take our repair request. We waited to hear from LG. Nothing. I submitted a second request by filling out an online repair request. Nothing. I sent an email request and got a quick email reply, “Sorry for your difficulty,” then something that made no sense and finally You be contacted.” Hmm, shouldnt that be “You WILL be contacted”? I now understand LG is aware of a common control panel problem. I think that this is my problem. I also believe I am going to get stuck with a lemon. Do not buy this product.

My wife purchased our new LG refrigerator (linear compressor) unit 2 years ago from Home Depot. We purchased the extended warranty, against my feelings, and am glad we did as the unit failed after only 2 years! Trying to contact LG is next to impossible. I then called the warranty service, this is also a joke as they say they cant have anyone out for over 2 weeks. This refrigerator has a class action lawsuit out on it as I find out, but LG only replaces the compressor with the same thing! To make matters worse, I had just come back from a hunting trip, and loaded the freezer up with two deer. I have now lost everything. So now, I am out all my food, and I cant even get a working refrigerator for at least 2 weeks? I no longer even want this junk appliance, but, they refuse to credit me, or take the unit back! This is unacceptable for such a major company. I will NEVER recommend, or purchase anything made by LG again!

This is a dream come true. Both the air filters and water filters are easy to replace. It has several drawers both in the refrigerator part and the freezer part. It is easy to remove refrigerator drawers to clean. The shelves are adjustable. The shelving inside the door has doors on both the inside and outside. You can open just the door shelf to save cold air. It has an alarm that tells me if the door is open too long. The only drawback is it is oversized. It sticks out further than my cupboards.

LG Waveforce Top Load Washer - I have not been happy with this product since day 1. After careful and close observation, I have come to the conclusion that this machine corrects for its inefficiencies by doubling and tripling some of the rinse and spin cycles, thereby making it MORE inefficient than the center-agitator style washing machine. I mean, really, it tells you a load will be 53 minutes and it ends up taking an hour and 53 minutes because of the extra cycles it runs itself thru just to balance and re-balance. When this thing dies (hurry, hurry) Im going back to the center-agitator style washer if theyre still on the market. So much for energy and water efficient washing machines. Geez, just clean my clothes without all this computer controlled inefficiency - paleeze.

I bought LG model LMXS28626S on July 2018 because it was nice looking. On Aug. 9, 2021, it no longer cooling. I called customer service and at first she said I should pay. I insisted that it seems it is a compressor problem and the warranty for it is 5 years parts and labor. From where I live there was only 2 repair shop that was listed in the LG website, but only 1 answered. The technician installed a new universal compressor that was so loud. It turned out it was not configured correctly. The technician came back and I think tried but he just messed it up and it died.I searched for help and found a write up about LG and I am not alone. It seems that LG has a reputation on Bad product and customer service. I read that I can call executive services. I was able to talk to a person in executive services. I told her the technician they sent seems to not know how to fix my refrigerator. She said that she will set up an A&E technician. After 1 month on Sept. 8, the technician will come. The LG Model LDE4413ST could have burned down my house! The knobs are way too sensitive, so whenever anyone brushes past them, even slightly and without the knob pushed in, the stove top turns on and you wouldnt even notice until its too late. Very dangerous. Someone else in my family has a gas LG range and this happens to them all the time as well, so I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of other people have this issue. We put in a complaint with LG with pictures of the damage. Tim, whom my husband spoke with on the phone, told us This wasnt your fault. Well take care of it. Now, LG is telling us our home insurance has to cover it and they wont do anything about it. I have reported LG to saferproducts.gov and Im looking into filing a class action suit.

LG gas range, purchased July 2015, not sure of the model. Beautiful appliance (hence the 2 stars instead of 1), but some issues: The 2 front burners on the cook top (the ones I use most), dont always want to ignite (have to check visually to make sure). A few months ago, started noticing that the oven would preheat correctly but not hold its temperature, so couldnt rely on it. Started getting F9 Heat Error while attempting to preheat, then the igniter failed entirely and had to be replaced. Cost me a few hundred bucks.Tonight, about an hour after turning the oven off, we heard a *crash* in the kitchen. I ran out to find that the outer glass on the oven door had shattered into a million bits and there was broken glass all over the floor. No one in the kitchen and nothing in the oven. Hours later, Im still hearing cracking and glass falling. This is dangerous. Thankfully it didnt happen while my dog was home alone. Not sure what to do at this point, whether its worth the cost of another repair or if I can even trust it, should I decide to go that way. The range was pricey, and Id hoped to get good and reliable use of it for a long time. Didnt expect to have problems within 3 years, certainly not 2 major problems within a month. Never bought LG before, probably wont again. Pretty disappointed, and wouldnt recommend to others, based on my experience.

Our refrigerator with bottom freezer and french doors on top is very pretty. It has stainless steel covering, and Im still getting used to the difference between this one and the 27 year old one that died. Purchased it less than a month ago and already noticed a problem with the ice maker.

I have a stainless steel LG French Door Refrigerator that I purchased from Home Depot. After approximately 1 year, the refrigerator front seal ripped. When I contacted LG, the stated comment was that they had never had this problem reported before, and it now was not covered by warranty because of the time limit. It is not covered by the store warranty that I bought as it only covers mechanical problems. Frequently, the ice maker freezes (and the door tray simply cannot be removed - poor design) requiring me to use a hair dryer to thaw it out. What a problem! This is not covered by warranty. I contacted LG about this problem, no response. Personally, I would never buy another LG product.

Im not sure what one more negative review will do for LGs image problem with its refrigerators. However you would think that as the reviews pile up and pile up that at some point the company might start dealing with the fallout and consumer dissatisfaction. My model is (rather was) a french door type with bottom freezer. While Ive had it the interior light bulb melted its plastic cover, Ive had the ice maker replaced twice, and the thermostat assembly has gone twice. Some on warranty and some not. The second time I decided to cut my losses (tons of food lost) and no comfort that the problems would end and replace my fridge. In these days of sustainability thinking however I remain upset with this company and the crappy product I bought. Thing is the glitzy outer casing looks brand new. What a shame.

I like how its a touch screen. You just drag the bar with your finger. Its more effective than punching numbers. But, the microwave doesnt have a 5 seconds option so its hard to cook your food at your desired temperature. Also, its hard to keep it clean since so many girls uses it each day. I wish it was bigger so that more than one thing can be reheated since we eat a lot of leftovers or frozen meals.

My refrigerator has had a leak from Day One. I noticed that the drawer freezer was becoming difficult to close. Then, I noticed water spilling onto my floor. I dont have the ice maker hooked up, so I dont really know where the water comes from. When I looked I had 1-2 inches of ice in the bottom of my freezer compartment. I have now become accustomed to removing the freezer door once every couple of months and removing the ice. Now, it quit working entirely, and I dont know if I can find a repair man close.

Purchased model LFXC24726S/00 November 2014. Had to be serviced January 2015 due to excessive ice buildup in freezer. Time frame was 5 wks d/t, part not in stock, reorder wait & install. 8/1/18 fridge dead. Told 8/14 would be soonest tech would be available to come out, diagnose, possible order part if not available then repair...2+ weeks with no working fridge. Told I could rent one in the meantime and be reimbursed at 25% of the cost of my fridge. Seriously?!! Lost food, utilize insulin (requires refrigeration), had to purchase a new fridge ASAP.I don’t about anyone else but I don’t have $2200-$3000 lying around for new fridges every 4yrs. Totally unacceptable! I will NEVER purchase another LG product again as they are not supported by the company once you get them in your home. It was suggested that I have it moved into the garage after I get the new one & allow them to repair it. Why the hell would I do that? I don’t need 2 fridges, I just need 1 that is reliable & works!

Our LG range model LRE307578B/01 stopped heating in early December 2013. Called extended warranty company for repair service. Nite Owl Appliance Repairs, Inc. responded and evaluated our range on December 17 saying a relay and heating element were needed. On December 18 the appliance repair company said one of the parts had to be ordered because the LG warehouse did not have the part. Over 2 1/2 months have past and still no parts. Have contacted LG, the repair company and purchasing company (Home Depot) for help to be told parts are on order. Appliances break, I can handle that situation, but waiting for over 2 1/2 months for parts seems beyond reason. I truly believe our range is a lemon and should be replaced. Thank you.

LG washing machine broke after 3 years in a household of 2 adults and our 18th month old daughter... No reason why except defective machine. Customer service no help. After dealing with them our household will NEVER purchase another LG product again... The machine was very expensive and purchased in 2013. Its been leaking on our brand new wooden floor for a year. Our floor was completely ruined the underlayment as well. No one here (Marthas Vineyard) will service LG machines. Were going to dump the machine... Biggest waste of money. We purchased all LG products and all of them have not lived up to our standards. The biggest problem is the knobs on the gas stove. The knobs should be ruled as DEFECTIVE and DANGEROUS. In my career I travel quite a bit and even though I have adult kids at home sometimes they do not notice when the gas is on because of the broken knobs. The white plastic on the insides have cracked causing the knobs to just turn but not completely turning the stove off. I have contacted LG and I too have been told to purchase new knobs, however you can purchase the knobs but the problem is still not fixed. I noticed that the new LG stoves have knobs that are very steady. Why not just replace the old knobs with the newer model knobs. I pray that before anything happens like gas explosions, gas leaks etc., they would ruled out that the knobs are defective and update all the former customers with the new knobs. A couple of thousand dollars is better than a couple of million for major lawsuits.

Then tells me the wiring cant be replaced anyway. Now stuck with a shiny $2700 lawn ornament. Stay away from LG. So far the lower control board failed, the broiler has failed and the cook top has now failed, the wiring harness BEHIND the stove has melted and needed to be replaced. The easy clean function is worthless, the cook top gets very hot when using the stove as described in the video. The buttons on the control panel are not satisfying to press and very mushy with no positive feedback. Do not get this stove, go with another brand/model. In 2005, I purchased the LG WM1832CW washer and from the beginning, I got an OE error code which indicates a motor overload. I had a service contract and Best Buy was great in sending a repair person to troubleshoot and ultimately replaced the motor. We still have the occasional OE code, but LG told us to reduce the amount of detergent and always use high-efficiency detergent. The smell started and there was a black mold around the front tub seal and smelly clothes. Initially, I thought that the smell was due to sweaty football gear, but it continued after the season. We have used vinegar, bleach, you name it, yet it still smells. Now, Ive had two leaks that flooded my laundry room and I cant find the cause. My guess is that the front door seal is not seating properly every time.

LG has caused a SAFETY HAZARD and is doing NOTHING about it! Following is a timeline of the frustrating and DANGEROUS situation we have gone through with LG in their customer service process. March 18, 2018 - We smelled gas from coming from our 8-month-old LG gas range, which we purchased in June 2017 and is still under warranty. We contacted our local energy provider, CenterPoint Energy. A technician immediately came out. He found gas and carbon monoxide leaking from our gas range and flagged it for leaks.March 23 - After spending hours on the phone with LG customer service, we were finally able to get an LG technician to our house, even though our gas range should have been IMMEDIATELY RETURNED as a FIRE HAZARD. When the LG tech showed up, his device did not even have a carbon monoxide detector on it! He declared there were no gas leaks, even though four people in the house smelled an odor so strong it was causing me headaches and making me dizzy.April 10 - After more lengthy phone calls to LG customer service, we finally got a 2nd LG service technician to come out. Even though we still smelled gas and I still had headaches, this technician also claimed to have found no leaks. April 10 - We were forced to take matters into our own hands and hired an independent plumber to conduct a gas test. This plumber was able to come out immediately after the 2nd LG technician left our house. He found gas leaking from 3 burners and carbon monoxide leaking from the oven. We reached out to LG, and after hours of being transferred from one supervisor and department to another, my call was transferred to a voicemail of someone who had not updated their personal recording since January 2018.April 12 - We decided to reach out to the store from whom we purchased the gas range to see if that would bring any results. Our sales rep is being very helpful and has reached out to someone pretty high up in the chain at LG, although we still have no resolution. April 26 - After countless phone calls back and forth to LG, including one clueless LG representative who called and said This is about a refrigerator, right? we are STILL nowhere. Ive called LG dozens of times only to have my call dropped or transferred from one department to another. Not only is this the WORST customer service experience Ive ever had; it has put me and my family in danger of carbon monoxide poisoning. There needs to be a lawsuit filed against LG; unfortunately I am not in a financial position to file one myself, especially after losing an expensive gas range with no replacement!

I purchased these 2 items less than 5 months ago. The fridge stopped making ice, and the range is not working at all. I called LG and they sent a tech to fix it. He ordered a part, replaced it, and still the same, now they canceled todays appt, for no reason, and apparently tomorrow another tech will come to check again, then they will keep changing parts and guessing what it is. I told Customer Service that I have been like these for 2 wks already, with nowhere to cook, and I needed these to be fix ASAP. I told them to please change my new range for another one. Mine has become refurbish since they keep replacing parts, its not original no more. But LG continues to allegate, that they cannot do anything but just wait for the tech to see what it is. They say they cannot change my equipment for a new one, it can ONLY be repaired. I hope any issues like this will be covered under the Manufacturers Warranty, but I can see this is not true. At the end the Consumer can not even respond in the proper way and solve anything. What a shame. I am very disappointed, and for sure WILL NOT BUY OR RECOMMEND THIS BRAND TO ANYBODY.

The machine was part of a stacked set purchased from Sears in Toronto with extended warranty in late 2012. It was very reliable until 2019 when it was 6 years and 6 months old. It then developed a leak and need a new gasket which was provided by LG under their One Price service (about $280, I recall). Last month it developed a further leak. My wife read the manual and looked for possible causes. She cleaned out the soap dispenser - this resulted in a flood when we turned the machine on.We called LG - we were no longer eligible for their full price service. They despatched a local company, European Appliance Repair. They charged $300 Canadian plus tax (extra because they needed two men for a stacked unit). My wife told them the full story - an initial leak, and then a flood. They replaced a small part. The next day there was a small leak - we were unsure if there was residue from the flood, but immediately contacted LG. We said we would wait a few days to see if the leak persisted. It became evident that it would occur on the spin cycle whenever there was a full load. We rang up and made an appointment for June 22nd. The appointment was then postponed to the 23rd in a message received on June 16.On June 19 at close of business we got a message saying our appointment was cancelled or postponed. It was impossible to get clarification till the new week began. On June 21 at 9.00 we rang and were informed that someone would come that day, and that the cancellation message was an error. However, nobody could come that day, because European Appliance Repair did not recall they had to send two people out. An appointment was made for 3 to 5 on the 23rd, but the same two repairmen appeared at 8 p.m. They announced after 35 minutes that we would need a gasket. We would have to pay for the part and additional labour. They denied that we had told them that we had a leak before my wife cleaned the soap dispenser. We have no idea whether they did not hear what my wife had said or were telling an untruth. It was clear to us that they were in a hurry on both occasions, probably overworked because of the pandemic. We noted that a gasket had been replaced the previous year. Gaskets, we were told, could never be guaranteed because customers often put sharp objects in machines. We spoke to an LG rep. on the phone. He insisted that no further charge would be levied, and that, if we did not get satisfaction, LG would give us an allowance toward a new machine. Two days later we spoke to a woman at European Appliance Repair. They proposed to treat the repair as a separate problem and charge 250 labor plus tax plus the cost of the part (plus, of course, $620 Canadian we had paid for April, 2019 and May, 2020 leaks). They had clearly heard nothing from LG.After this we spoke with three LG reps. (we had difficulty communicating with the first two). The third person with whom we spoke said that a gasket would not normally tear because a few coins had gone through the machine (we do not keep sharp objects in our pockets). Furthermore, he agreed to escalate the issue and get back to us the next day. He warned that the replacement model that succeeded ours might not be stackable with the old dryer, should we decide on replacement by LG. We do not have room to house the units in another way.Naturally enough, nobody from LG did get back to us in 24 hours about our “escalated issue. Today we decided to buy a stackable set made by another manufacturer. We are surrendering a perfectly good dryer - but there appears to be no alternative. On the basis of this experience I would not advise anybody to buy an LG washer or dryer, unless you expect to replace your machine every six years, and to be particularly careful when selecting stackable units.

In June of 2014 I bought a new French door LG fridge ($2199) for our new home from Sears Canada. From the minute it was plugged in it squealed randomly and has a constant humming/vibrating noise that is well above just annoying. As a point of reference, we have an almost identical LG at the cottage and it is basically noise free. I have been quite patient about getting the noise corrected as it seems to function well except for how noisy it is. The authorized LG repair tech was there today for the second time and had the gall to tell me it seems not bad, I asked him to leave and go have another drink as the alcohol coming off him would serve a college fraternity well.Almost one year later I still have an annoying buzz coming from my new LG refrigerator and zero satisfaction in getting this remedied. At this point I fully expect LG to delay this until the one year warranty is up and say sorry, nothing we can do. Fortunately, I have lawyers in my family and this matter is far from over. As many others have said, THIS WILL BE MY LAST LG PRODUCT regardless of the ultimate outcome. There is no need in this day and age to put up with this level of customer service.

Three months ago I moved into a home with newer LG appliances. Recently, the freezer and refrigerator stopped keeping the food frozen or even cold. This was on Friday evening, so I searched online for possible solutions. I found a YouTube video of someone with the same fridge as I who had the same problem and he solved it by unplugging the fridge and plugging it back in. We did that, but it did not get colder. On Saturday I called the 1-800 number listed in the Smart Diagnosis section of the manual, hoping for this to tell me what was wrong and get it repaired quickly. The employee who answered the phone said they did not have the software to do this. He could send out a technician, but nobody would be available until after the weekend. I had to take the day off work to stay at home, waiting, only to be told that the technician didnt have a new compressor with him. He said he would order one, and although it would be here the next day, the technician didnt have the availability to come back until three days later. By this time, we had to throw away literally everything in both the fridge and freezer. Hundreds of dollars worth of food, not to mention all of the money spent having to eat at restaurants because of the spoiled food.Another day off work and the technician was able to replace the compressor. Thankfully it was still under warranty. He told us to wait until the next day to fill it with anything that needs to be cold as to ensure it is working correctly. He said that he hadnt had a replaced compressor fail yet. We waited 48 hours before we went back to the grocery store to fully replace what we had lost. That was yesterday.Today, I noticed the ice melting and dripping through the dispenser. I call the 1-800 number yet again, and am told, yet again, that Smart Diagnosis is unable to be used because of the lack of software. Unfortunately this time the employee says that she is unable to schedule a technician to visit because that is unavailable to her. When asked to speak with a supervisor I was told that there wasnt anyone available, but someone from the corporate office would contact me within 72 hours. 72 hours? No supervisor or manager available for simple customer service? UNACCEPTABLE!! This appliance needs to be replaced, not bandaged with defective parts. Parts fail, I understand that, but the level of customer service from LG has me unwilling to ever buy another LG appliance.

LG French door model - I purchased one of the most expensive fridges in the LG lineup about 3.5 years ago. It stopped working - no cold air anywhere. I called LG, and they offered me a flat rate deal to send a technician and fix the fridge (about $210). I paid and a technician came. The problem was the compressor relay. He could not order the part because it was discontinued. It took LG 4 weeks to agree that the part was not available (during that time, I was without a fridge). Every time I called to inquire, they told me to be patient. Now, their only offer is to pro-rate the fridge value and pay me around $900 towards the value of a new LG Fridge. I asked for a replacement; they refused. To add insult to injury, they said I am not even getting back the full $210 repair cost because the technician still has to get paid, although nothing was fixed. LG makes a wide range of goods. I will not be buying any of their products, ever.

Let’s see. So my French door fridge (model # LFC25770SB) is only 2 years old. Weve had it since May 2010. It was bought brand new from Home Depot for our new home. It has worked fine until 11/14/2012. I came home from work and the entire bottom cavity (freezer) was thawed out and everything completely ruined (my Thanksgiving meal, since we went shopping a few days prior)! The freezer isn’t keeping anything cold, so therefore neither is the fridge! The fridge was 47 degrees when I got home! I called LG on their emergency line the night it happened and was told that the food that I lost would be covered in part. Not the case! They refused to cover anything. I have to wait up to 3 weeks for a new part, which I have to pay out of pocket for, and the labor that is included in fixing this part! Needless to say, a 2-year-old fridge was obviously a piece of **! I lost over $500 in groceries, not to mention the insulin that I had in the fridge because I’m a diabetic! LG lost this customer! And I doubt they will care to do anything! All they say is they are sorry! Must not really be sorry, because I should have gotten a reimbursement for some of the product lost because of their ** appliance that broke after, seriously, only 2 years! Do something LG!

Initially I chose LG brand because I like their other appliances such as TV, Washing Machines, etc. When I bought the refrigerator that was the guiding and deciding factor, familiarity. What I like the most about the LG brand is the nice slick look. I like the brand itself in general. My favorite color in most appliances of that nature is stainless steel. I have been satisfied with the look, functioning and features of my LG refrigerator. I like the inside of the refrigerator as much as the outside. I like the design that allow me to pack my food nicely. Everything I need is neatly tucked away in a place that I am pleased and comfortable to reach and store it.

I purchased 4 of the LG Studio line for my new kitchen. Gas Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, and refrigerator. 1st use of Dishwasher and it did not clean. The buttons on the front do not always work and I have had to pull it out from the wall to unplug it and plug it back in to get them to work. It is very random and I have not been able to figure out a pattern of use that causes it to malfunction.I put in 3 service requests to have these repaired. Its amazing theyve named the company LG, it couldnt be the farthest from the truth! The customer service is worst than the product if thats even possible. If you want a product that works, stay away from LG! I bought the washer through Best Buys online service. Best Buys receipts fade after 6 months and are not readable. Best Buy could see the purchase online but couldnt print the order, therefore according to LG, there isnt a valid proof of purchase. While I am very disappointed in the Best Buys ability to print a receipt, at least they were willing to give their contact information and the Best Buy order number so that LG could contact them to validate the purchase. I bought this LG top freezer model LTC22350WH/00 at Home Depot in October 2010. It was good looking and I had heard good things about LGs televisions (my brother has one), so I did not hesitate to buy it. Within days, the plastic shelf tracks for the cheese drawer started cracking and later dropping off into the fridge. The drawer is now unusable and the shelf cannot support any heavy groceries. I dropped a plastic bottle of jam on the base panel and it cracked through and through, and just flaps around now. The plastic throughout the refrigerator is thin and fragile, and apparently designed to fail. The entire refrigerator reeks of planned obsolescence. LG appears to think that we consumers are idiots and will continue to buy their throwaway products. They are badly mistaken. I will never buy another LG product of any description again. Home Depot and Best Buy would do well to reconsider their relationship with this company, as LGs faulty products will also impact their bottom line and reputation in the long term. At the very minimum, they should insist that LG products meet some minimal standard of durability. I am old enough to remember when refrigerators lasted 15-25 years, and the manufacturers took pride in their products. Now they take pride in how efficiently they can rip off consumers.

Wednesday 25th of May my refrigerator stopped working. Both refrigerator and freezer part. I called the 800 number on owners manual that came with the refrigerator and was told I had to either pay over $200 or $399 for 1 year extra insurance because they could not find my registration card and could not tell me when I bought it. So I paid the $399 thinking someone would come out and look at the fridge. I was informed that no one could come until the following Wednesday because it was a holiday weekend. The repairman came on Tuesday and informed my husband that the freon system was not properly cleaned before installation causing the freon to leak or evaporate from the system, causing the entire coolant system to malfunction. According the repairman this was done during the assembly process. He had to order a part and would take a few days to get. We waited a week and had to call LG back to get the repairmans number and find out what was taking so long. We were informed that the part is on back order and will not be available until after the 15th of June. At no time did the repairman call and inform us of this development. I have two small children in my home and cannot keep fresh foods available for them. I will not recommend an LG appliance to anyone. The customer service sucks and the phone center could give a damn. They could not tell me when we purchased the refrigerator but when my husband called they told him it was purchased in December 2014. This will be 18+/- days without a refrigerator and the weather so far has been in the high 80s.

I purchased this refrigerator in April, 2017. In August, 2018 the refrigerator and freezer stopped working on a Thursday. A tech guy came on Monday and said it was the compressor and installed a new one. It still did not work. He came back and said there was a leak in the coil and he would be back on Friday. He installed the new coil and it still does not work. This is now over a week and I still do not have a working refrigerator. He is supposed to come back again tomorrow, Saturday, to do what? This is a lemon, plain and simple. I will never buy a LG product again.

Has leak water all over my floor and into my finished basement. They continue to try sending out technicians. Most recent technician refused to come out if fridge has been serviced so many times before. LGs answer to this is they will send a different company out. Their warranty only includes service and parts. They will not do a replacement or refund. I have a new baby in the house and have been without a fridge totally for 5 weeks. Refrigerator or freezer not working now.

Repairmen mentioned to me that quality control has been slipping from manufacturer due to mass production.

When we remodeled our house, we redid our kitchen, and my wife picked out the refrigerator. We also got everything matching. So, that was why we went with them. LG is a well-known brand, and the unit we got was on sale and it was about the size we needed. Also, it is quieter than what we had. We have had our refrigerator for two years now and it was good, but the compressor went out on it. So, we had to have warranty work done on it. It works good now. The serviceman who came was good, too.

We bought an LG refrigerator and the doors quit closing. Because we had a warranty they fixed that. Since we bought the refrigerator the ice maker will not spit out ice. We bought an OTR LG microwave which cost $650. It is not user-friendly because no matter how many times you push a button you have to push it JUST right for it to work. We bought a LG double oven. Within the warranty period the plastic glass broke on the control panel. We have been waiting for months on a new part. They finally sent the new part and it was the wrong one. Purchased LG refrigerator model LFXS24623S in March 2017. After 3 months, the ice maker would not work properly, (would not tumble ice into bin). Service man replaced ice maker. Waited 24 hrs, checked for ice, no ice! Called again, and same service man came, checked everything, replaced entire unit. Checked next day, still no ice. Same service guy came again, ( I knew him by name by now), said there was a problem with this particular serial number line, he had just received an update by email, replaced entire unit once again, you guessed it, still no ice in bin. Bill, (not his real name) said there was nothing he could do other than replace the fridge. Customer service called sometime later to confirm the replacement to be done at end of August. By 1st of August, freezer would not keep food frozen. Some stuff froze others didnt. By date of this posting, all food in freezer had thawed. We had to throw all the meat products out. We are now waiting for the replacement and hope this one actually does what its supposed to do. Im hoping we just got a lemon as can happen with any products. One other thing, the customer service rep we spoke with did not seem very sympathetic but seemed to treat our phone calls with total indifference.

In 2012 we purchased an LG French Door refrigerator - the most expensive fridge weve ever had - to update our kitchen appliances. In 2013, the freezer section malfunctioned, food defrosted. Since we had the extended warranty, the freezer problem was repaired, but we still had the loss of food. Several months later, we discovered the food in the refrigerator section was freezing. After trying to adjust the temp according to the manual, we called the warranty insurance & since we have the gadget that is supposed to diagnose the problem, allow parts to come with the service person, had this done. Of course he had to order parts. White refrigerator, a black gasket arrived. More parts ordered. Weeks later, same problem. 2nd technician said 1st repair was not done properly, so more parts. More food loss each time. In March 2014, same problem with food freezing in fridge section. We have been waiting 3 weeks for proper parts (again, wrong color gasket seal sent - so another wait). Also yellow discolorations all over the white door, and neither LG nor the warranty insurance will cover this, as its considered cosmetic. So our nearly $3000 refrigerator is the worst appliance weve ever owned. Have complained to LG, nothing resolved. Can you say LEMON? Needless to say, when warranty coverage is over, appliance will be replaced and NOT with an LG!

We purchased a French door ice maker fridge in 2011. LG GCP197DPSL- 560 L - $1600 (Lemon). One year later the ice maker kept jamming up and would not dispense ice. This then made ice crystals form that covered the inside of the freezer door causing ice crystals to fall all over the floor when the door was opened. 5 years, two replacement doors. 1 ice maker bin, dozens of calls to LG and numerous service calls at $75 each time and we still do not have a fridge/freezer that will make ice or not frost over inside. LG say they will not offer any more assistance or support or any kind of refund or compensation to us... LG fridges are the worst. Do not buy one. After less than a year the display panel on my LG french door refrigerator started to peel up. Called Best Buy whom I purchased it from, they transferred me to LG. This is where the epic disappointment comes in, I understand that things break even though it has been less than 1 year but there is no excuse for the complete lack of help that LG provided. They gave us the run-around, never called the service shop that was supposed to take care of my area, never gave us an RN number, then to top it off they cancelled the repair appointment that we finally got after a million phone calls because there were 2 different phone numbers on the request. They never notified us that they cancelled the appointment so my boyfriend missed a whole day of work waiting for the repair people (who conveniently then couldnt find any of our info). All it would have taken was a phone call to either numbers to straighten it out, btw they said having 2 numbers on the request was fine that they would call both but instead they called neither. I cant believe the level of disorganization and disregard from LG. I will never trust this brand ever again.

Purchased this unit in Feb. 2011. Eight months later the ice maker quit. LG replaced it. 6 months later it failed again, this time on me. Two months later water supply to ice maker froze and pushed the water line out of the back of the unit, wet floor, ruined ceiling and wall in basement. 4 months later, water solenoid failed in the open position, filled the freezer with water, large block of ice and ruined food. Two weeks ago noticed the freezer was frosting up bad. Found that the freezer fan was not working. Ordered new motor. Upon returning from work this evening the refrigerator was 62 degrees, more ruined food. Called LG, said they had other complaints of the same. Offered to schedule a repairman for me. However the new machines, neither fill properly with water or agitate like the older models and therefore clothes, towels, sheets do not come clean. We were told by LG to use the permanent press cycle as it uses the most water. In addition, select prewash, extra rinse and heavy duty (for amount of soil). All this take over 1.5 hours. It does use a bit more water and clothing is much cleaner but not 100%. All our whites have slowly greyed after using this washer for 6 months. I have a 2 year old LG washer with the impeller tech, low water use, etc. I dislike it intensely. The impeller action does not move clothes sufficiently, the water levels are not sufficient to get the dirt to float out and away, and it cannot do large sheets at all. When I do sheets I have to check constantly and push them under water level, no matter what setting I use. They never completely submerge. I usually have to add additional water to hack the weight so that it adds additional, even after the extra water button is pushed. I wish I had kept my old Maytag and repaired it.

My refrigerator has been a nightmare since the day I bought it. A month into the purchase the freezer drawer would not pull out. No big deal. The repairman came and fixed it. Recently, however, was the worst when I walked downstairs on Christmas night and heard dripping water and found it coming from the ceiling of the bedroom-right underneath the fridge. At midnight my grandchildren and I we were unloading food into our cheap garage fridge which we paid about $300 for and has never given us an ounce of trouble! This occurrence was another water line that goes to the ice dispenser. My LG is 5 years old and this is the second time this has happened. It has ruined my wood floors for the second time. I have to replace baseboard for the second time. I have to replace sheetrock for the second time. But this time I have to replace my beautiful cabinetry in my kitchen and that is almost impossible to match and will be a major expense. The first time the repairman came he told me LG uses cheap tubing that cracks over time (less than two years). He replaced one tube, but evidently not the other, hence the second major leak. The tubing cost around $12 to replace, less the house call for the repairman. Now can anyone tell me why LG cant put a piece of decent tubing on the back of the refrigerator in the first place. It would save so many people so much grief, so much money and so much time. Come on LG, cant you put out an appliance that would make people happy rather than cost them a fortune in house repair? For an extra $12? Really? You cant spare a $12 profit to make a decent appliance? Remember, Life is Good, until your LG refrigerator leaks through your wood floors and sheetrock - twice.

I have the same problem with the moldy smell. I had a service guy in today and I am going to follow his advise and see what happens. The washer is already smelling better! His advise; First, he adjusted the front feet so the machine sloped slightly back so the front gasket drains fully, then he showed me how to drain the washer by using the dials (no one explained this to me!). Turn on machine, dont touch the main dial, go to spin speed button and press it. Display should read 13 minutes, then start washer. This will completely drain any standing water! Good luck **. He also recommended to use half a cup dish washing detergent in the drum, wash on full hot cycle. Do this at your own discretion, I am trying this tonight!

From day one, our 1+ year old LG WF487OCW top loading washer has stopped mid cycle with the UE error message. The start cycle that assesses the load size is a joke. It fails most often when I try to do a delicate cycle with a small load. I might have to rearrange that load 2-3 times or more to complete a cycle. But it can happen with any size load. With my laundry in the basement, I can never assume that the load I put in is done. Very frustrating to have to repeatedly rearrange the load. The machine will actually go into a violent series of moves before stopping. Washing machines typically last us many years. After reading other reviews, we find ourselves wishing that we had picked another brand. We actually chose this one based on good reviews from Consumer Reports! Sounds like we would only be facing additional frustrations if we tried to reach LG for customer service.

Unfortunately, I cant change service companies because I was told there are no others in my area. A service technician should repair this unit on the first visit. I just bought my Double Electric Convection Oven range in late December 2021. The flat-top keeps on getting damaged after I use it. It wasnt scratched because I didnt do anything wrong with the pans. They told me at customer service all they could do was replace it again. I think that there is a defect with the flat tops because my old flat top didnt do what these flat tops are doing. Updated on 07/26/2019: If you look at all the negative reviews youll see that LG has not closed any of the complaints. They all are listed as resolution in process including mine. After my refrigerator died for the second year in a row I wrote my first review here but since LG wont respond I have to write another review in order to finalize my original review.Heres the latest on my refrigerator. The company that I purchased it from (ABT Glenview IL.) came out first thing in the morning and replaced the freezer fan and main circuit board. The unit worked for a while but during the evening the freezer was not cooling and the unit temperatures started to climb. I monitored the temperatures and called the service manager (Ryan) at ABT back and we ran through some things to see what was happening. I unplugged the unit and after a few minutes plugged it back in. The freezer fans kicked back on and the unit started to cool. A few hours later I checked it again and the freezer temperature started rising again. At this point I once again removed everything from the unit and put it in the loaner unit they gave me in.I called the next day and spoke with Ryan about what happened and he scheduled to have another service technician come out the next day to look at the unit. When the technician came out the first thing he said was the freezer fan was not running and had no explanation why. He unplugged the unit and they plugged it back in and the fan started to work but he could not say how long it would last. I spoke with Ryan later that evening and fortunately ABT is a reputable company and they offered to buy back my unit. We talked about all the costs involved and what could be done on the new unit pricing. The next day I went to ABT and purchased (at no cost) a new GE unit similar to the one I had and it was delivered yesterday 7-15-2019. They took back the LG unit and from what I was told it was sent to the scrap yard.I have to say that at least ABT stood up to their end but I can not say the same for LG. When I called LG about the unit I was told someone could be out here to look at it July 20th. While I was going through all this with ABT, I received a call from a woman (through a company the LG had gave my information to) who could barely speak English wanting to know if I wanted a service call. I cant tell you the name of the company because I couldnt understand what she was saying. I told her that the unit was being replaced and I would not need a service call.Hopefully I will have better luck with my new unit and can put this mess behind me. As for LG products I have to say I am extremely disappointed at how this turned out. This unit cost $1800.00 and should have lasted a long time not a few years! Here is the unit information for your records. LFXS24623S S/N 505MRZLMQ173 purchased 7-6-2015.Today 7-26-2019 I received a call from LG asking how the repair was working on my refrigerator. I told the person that the unit was in the scrap yard and was not being repaired. I dont think she really understood what I said and wanted to know if I was happy with the unit. I again told her that the LG piece of junk was in the garbage because it couldnt be repaired. She asked if I purchased a new LG unit and after I stopped laughing I told her I would never buy anything from LG again. She said she was sorry for all my trouble and if I needed any more help I could contact LG. I again told her that I will never buy another LG product and personally I feel all their appliance are junk. SO LG WHY HAVENT YOU REPLIED TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW. I sent you the message you requested on July 17 2019 but yet to hear back from you!!!!Original review: I have an LG LFXS24623S 24Cuft French door refrigerator that was purchased in July 2015 and this is now the second year in a row where it has died. Last year August 2018 the unit needed a complete seal system repair which took two visits to complete and now less than a year later July 2019 the unit is dead again and needs a new freezer fan and main circuit board.Luckily I purchased an extended warranty when I purchased the unit so this years repairs are covered but now Im going into year 5 and will have to purchase another warranty to cover what will inevitably be another repair next summer. This year I lost over $300.00 in meat and other frozen items but my warranty from the store will only cover $200.00 of it, so now Im out $100 plus the trouble of having to deal with the mess of melted ice cream in the freezer. Anyone thinking of purchasing an LG product should be made aware to find another brand to purchase! Read the reviews people their products do not last and they even know about it but still are producing garbage and selling it.

I felt really good about LG Refrigerators until mine had an issue. It really was not an issue at all, but the company that they sent to check it out made it into a big issue. I had called and said, My freezer was frosted over. Did I just not got it shut good or is there something wrong? There was also a shelf that had a crack. They would need to come out and fix that. And they said theyd take a look at it when they come out. So, the guy came out and fixed the other things, and then he said there were two fans for the freezer and one of them was only working part of the time. He also said he was gonna have to order another fan. And he scheduled to be back out the following Sunday to replace that. The following Sunday came around, and he didnt show up. I was here all day. I was calling them and they said he was gonna be here, but he never showed up. So, we set it again for the following Sunday. Again, the second Sunday in a row, my only day-off of the week, and I was sitting at the house at the couch, and again, he did not show up. And then, that got me. At one point, during the day, they lied and said they just talked to him and that he was gonna be calling me. I didnt get a call. And when I called them back, they said they were still trying to get a hold of him. So, then, I was trying to get LG to send somebody else, but they go right back to the same outfit. The third Sunday in a row, a different guy showed up and he took one look and said there is only one fan on this refrigerator freezer, and its working fine. He said, “You probably didnt have the door shut good, the reason it frosted over. So, I was really angry. And then, during this whole time, LG was sending me things, trying to get me to take another extended warranty on this. And Im like, Youre not even taking care of me on your original warranty. Im not about to spend more money for an additional warranty when I got treated so crappy in the first place.” Another thing is the first time, when the guy did come and he said that was what it needed, it was not long after that that also, it quit making ice. And I told him that when I was waiting for all those times for somebody to come back out, and its not making ice now. When the other guy did come out, he looked. The first guy had turned the ice maker off and never turned it back on.I like the refrigerator. I like that for the size because that size is the only size in my condo that I can get a refrigerator. And its working fine now, but at the same time, Ive been so upset about how I got treated, and I should have never been treated that way. I wish LG would do something to make up for it like give me another year of extended warranty and dont charge me for it. I didnt get my moneys worth.

We purchased our LG side-by-side refrigerator four years ago. From the start, we had problems with the ice maker auger freezing solid. We had the ice maker or some components of it replaced twice, under warranty, but not without several bumbled service visits - wrong parts, wrong initial diagnosis, etc. Now the freezer door seal has lost its suction. I see from todays research, this is not uncommon. We should have done more research, but we were desperate, since our old fridge had just died so we bought what was immediately available. Dont make the same mistake!

We bought an LG washer and dryer set in November of 2010. The washing machine has had a foul odor since about a year or so after we bought it. We leave the door open, dry the gaskets, etc. It doesnt work, it still stinks! There is always water in the soap/softener dispensers and at the way back of them when I pull them out weekly to clean, they are moldy, yes, moldy dark black, slimy mold. For about a year we had been wondering why our clothes had these weird stains appearing and we pinpointed it to our washer about 6-7 months ago. Randomly, a load of clothes will come out with either gray grease-looking spots on them or brownish spots (looks like someone threw a Pepsi in the machine). The stains will not come out of the clothes no matter what we try. I dont even know where to begin with the amount of money that has been wasted on ruined clothes in this machine. We have done the affresh washing machine cleaner, just running the tub clean cycle that is on the machine itself and just tried running the machine through regular cycles with and without any soap. Nothing works! I have gone round and round with LG customer support and also a corporate supervisor today which all they say is try this, try that, we can get you in touch with a technician in your area at my expense of course! I just cant believe that the washing machine cost over $1000.00 when we purchased it and this is the thanks we get when we try to have LG help us. They dont care what we think or have to say and I brought up the point that I am one of millions of people with these problems (as they have had lawsuits over this) and I just want to come to a fair agreement for both myself and them and they just dont even care. Honestly, I felt like all they cared about was getting me off of the phone. They couldnt even so much as offer me a discount on a new washer or to pay a portion of the service on the machine to get it cleaned because they keep saying it just needs to be cleaned between the drums and that would be something a serviceman would have to complete, you wouldnt be able to do it on your own, etc. Dont make the same mistake that we did, never buy an LG FRONT LOAD WASHER! Go online, google their reviews and the lawsuits that theyve been a part of. Plus, the customer service reviews are terrible (which I have realized myself in the past two weeks when I have contacted them)! Go with a company built on service and value, not LG who has neither of these qualities!!

I purchased my LG refrigerator Lfx31925sw/00 in 2012, paid 2700 bucks for it from Best Buy. After about six months I started to have problems with it. I called LG and they did some repairs on it. It worked for a little while. They had to come back out to do more repairs. This went on several times until the warranty ran out so I had to purchase a second warranty and finally LG sent another company out to work on it. They had several tries at it. Now that warranty is up and still not fixed I try to call customer service. They put me on hold over one hour, they never answered the phone. And to top it off this refrigerator is involved in a class action suit which hasnt helped me. Here it is 2017. This Refrigerator is a Korean company. Must be North Korea. All I can say is DO NOT BUY LG. You will regret it.

Purchased in late 2011 as part of a range, fridge, microwave, dishwasher package deal from appliance warehouse. This is the third time Ive had to call for service and pay $60 charge each time on my homeowners warranty policy. The usual problem is burners that dont turn on and in the past, only a few would go out at a time, leaving me a workable burner or two. This time all are out and now the broiler is also down -- only the oven is working now. One service tech said the cables inside the panel were loose. How that happened, I don’t know because the range doesnt get jostled or moved around a lot. Another complaint within the first six months of purchase is an inside drip between the oven door double paned glass but Ive lived with ugly mess because the service tech couldnt fix it without taking the entire range to the shop for a week. But wait -- theres more LG product problems! The side-by-side door fridge problems have also cost me three service calls ($60 each). The icemaker frequently goes on strike for several months at a time and then on its own starts working again. Of course, this renders the ice dispenser constipated and totally useless. The cold water dispenser has the opposite problem and is often incontinent it keeps spewing water for several seconds after the drinking glass is removed.I believe LG must stand for Least Good and the range model number LRE30453ST must stand for Least Reliable Electric ** Stoves Terrible. I will never again purchase another LG appliance and recommend that other buyers also shop for another brand.

I purchased an LG refrigerator (Model LFX31925ST) on Nov. 25, 2011. On Feb. 10, 2012 (less than 3 months later), the refrigerator stopped working. I called LG for repair and they sent a repairman 5 days later who told me it was broke (no **) and he would have to order parts. They were ordered 5 days later. 2 days later, I called the repair service, Expert Appliance Repair and they said one of the parts was backordered with no ETA. They suggested I call LG again to see if I could get an ETA or a replacement. I did this, and after a lot of stonewalling, I was told I was out of luck that I would have to wait on parts and that there was no ETA. I now have a refrigerator that broke down after a couple of months and have currently gone 12 days with no refrigerator. Never mind the cost of lost food/frustration. LG is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

The dealer was no help with delivery. The LG refrigerator itself is pretty good. Had 1 problem, after 2 yrs. Ice maker door (flap where ice drops from) had to be replaced. Which I had to pay for my self.

We purchased an LG suite of appliances in 2009 from Home Depot. SS French door refrigerator, microwave, upgraded dishwasher and glass cooktop oven. Since that time, we have had 2 service calls on icemaker not working right - need to call again! Dishwasher had 3 calls and it still wont clean. We were reimbursed the cost of it after complaining. Microwave touch panel has had to be replaced and now its a guessing game if you can get cooktop eyes to come on, along with grease in between the two glass windows. Have three boxes of parts here waiting on the guy to come back and replace the touch panel on the oven and the glass. Thank goodness we bought the extended warranty. I am sure we will use it again before it expires in November. Not happy with LG and HD should be embarrassed to sell such inferior products. Next go round will be with neither and its a shame because HD is my local economy booster, but for what we paid, we didnt get what we deserved, which was a quality product that should last for years!
