Product Reviews:

Purchased a top of the line LG Linear something or other. Not going to lie.
Purchased a top of the line LG Linear something or other. Not going to lie. It’s beautiful. We get lots of compliments on it but just over 3 years old and it stopped making ice. Now it’s not freezing and the fridge part is not cooling enough. Milk keeps going bad. Customer service is full of it. They know what’s wrong with their product and they keep asking you to check for leaks and to reset it. They gave me 3 contacts in my area to have it checked. First contact “we don’t work on refrigerators.” I think they mean just LG refrigerators. Second one never called me back despite multiple messages left and the 3rd one, number disconnected.I finally called someone else with years of experience and he said, Check out LG online and you’ll see what that what I’m telling you is common with LG. Type of compressor is great. Saves you about 100 dollars a year on electricity if you don’t mind paying 1000 dollars to “maybe” fix it. Yes he said, Maybe LG will give you a new compressor but labor will run you about 1000.00 and I will not warranty my work for more than 3 months because it’s common for them to break down again within a year. I’m just going to buy a new one but not an LG. He highly recommended Frigidaire. Cheaper. No frills. Not very fancy but they last a long time.

My husband and I built our house and moved in just over a month ago (September 2012). We decided to purchase an LG stainless steel dishwasher, because it was visually appealing and we were told it was quiet and had positive ratings. I must admit that the dishwasher is extremely quiet; however, it has yet to clean our dishes since the first time we have used it. The dishes/glasses on the top rack always come out dirty, and often, I will have to put them back into the dishwasher for a second or third time. There have also been a few times where the dishes were still wet and I had to dry them by hand. The most frustrating part is that the last few times we have used the dishwasher, we have opened the door just to discover the package of detergent stuck to the inside part of the door unopened (we use Cascade and have never had issues before). As a result, the dishes were only washed in water since no detergent was released out of the package which was still intact. Clearly, this dishwasher is too weak, as weve only had it for a month and age cannot be to blame.

I requested assistance with my washing machine on the 15th of March. Nobody pitched, on Friday, I phoned again and was informed that one technician was on leave. She would send somebody on Monday. Nobody came. I phoned again on the 22nd of March. She said she will ask the technician to come on Friday. That Thursday afternoon, I received an SMS saying that they would be at my house. Unfortunately, I was in town to collect my daughter and asked them to be there 16:10. When I got home at 16:00, they left a note saying they were at my house and I was not there. The next morning, I received an email saying that they would be coming on that Friday. I requested them to please come at 13:00 when I am home from school. The lady replied that the technician will be there before 13:00. I told her again that I am teaching and Im not allowed to just leave. I will notify her if I leave earlier, which I did. Then Louis came and told me the rubber was perished, that he does not have it in stock but will order it. It should be here the next week. I kindly requested him to notify me on the day that he will be coming, in the morning, to say whether he would be coming in the morning or afternoon. He promised me that he would phone me an hour before he comes. Today, he sent me an SMS 30 minutes before he stopped at my house. I had no idea that he was planning on coming today, so I was in the gym at the point when he sent an SMS. I did not hear the SMS as there is loud music in the gym. I am totally dissatisfied that he cannot respect me as a paying customer and have the decency to ensure that I did receive the message and that he cannot respect my wish to know in advance which day he will be coming. We are on holiday and I might have been at the beach with the kids, then I would also not here an SMS. I feel it is unfair of him to expect of me to sit and wait at the house until he one day decides he is coming to fix my machine. Today is the 26th of March and my machine is still not fixed.

Steam washer Model #WM2688 - My son gave me an LG Tromm washer and dryer set for a Mother’s Day/Birthday present in 2008 and I was thrilled! In the beginning it was so quiet I wasnt sure it was running! About 6 months ago I noticed it was getting a bit noisier. Then it suddenly started rocking during the spin cycle. My husband checked it for level and it was perfect. We manually changed the spin cycle to Medium in hopes it would no rock during the spin cycle. It got progressively louder as time went on. I want to add that there are only two of us and we do 4-5 loads of laundry per week. This machine was not working hard for us. It finally began making a different sound and was getting even louder. I called for a repairman. He tried out a couple of cycles and said, Your bearings are going out. I asked if that was normal, for a 7 yr. old washer and he said, “I see it all the time. Sometimes at 5 yrs. and sometimes at 10 yrs. When I asked what it would cost to repair he said he would write out an estimate for me. When he handed it to me I thought hed made a mistake. $829.22! Its a $900.00 machine new! He then said he wanted to look and see if anything was under warranted. The stainless steel drum had a lifetime warranty so my bill dropped to $531.20. What kind of a company sells a machine that much to repair? Repairman told me that he sees this all the time and rarely does anyone pay to have them fixed. I dont consider a $900.00 washing machine exactly a throwaway! I am thoroughly disgusted with a company that continues to build a product with a known problem leaving its consumers to pay for it! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT. I will also make sure that no one that I know doesnt either.

I purchased an LG free standing electric range model LRE3193ST in Nov of 20
I purchased an LG free standing electric range model LRE3193ST in Nov of 2017 at Lowes and 7 months later the oven blew up! Id been having problems with the temp since I first bought the range. I bought a thermometer to check and help regulate the heat because if I set it to 350 it would heat up to 275 and if I set it to 425 it would either go to 375 or to 500. Sometimes one side of the oven would be hotter than the other. When it blew up I heard a very loud bang. The inside of the range is completely warped and the oven paint coating is blistering off. This is now also a health risk. Im afraid to turn the oven on. I called Lowes and because it was within the first year the range was still under factory warranty they referred me to LG. And thats where the nightmares begin. It has been since July of 2018 that I have been attempting to get this range repaired. LG makes service appointments with providers who dont work in my area or are out of business. I had one provider tell me they dont repair LG products anymore. I have talked to about 6 LG supervisors from in the US and about 25 LG customer service persons from the Philippines. I have been hung up on, Ive been left on hold 56 minutes at times, one supervisor actually snapped at me. every time I talk to someone they promise to call back but never do. They give me repair order numbers, I have about 25 of them, and one supervisor went as far as to give me her email. Once I emailed her, the email was returned undelivered, when I called her back I was told no one with that name exists. I went back to Lowes hoping for some assistance and they got the same runaround. I am now in the process of contacting the attorney General Consumer Reporting and have vowed to put up as may bad revues as possible. I will never purchase another LG product again or go to a Lowes or Home Depot to purchase an appliance. LG is the worst. Dont buy it.

It started when I called a washing machine professional to repair the washing machine as it has stopped mid cycle. It will not drain or spin. It will fill up and then that is it. The tradesman came to the home and pulled a hair band from the filter and that was it. The washing machine is began to work fine. Now 7 months later, the problem is happening again. Filling, then sitting in a load of water. My husband has drained the washing machine manually and checked for any further blockages and this all appears to be clear. It will not drain so that I can take the load of washing out? I am so frustrated.

We purchased a stainless French door refrigerator just over two years ago. We have had no issues until recently. We noticed that one of exterior door panels has rust bleeding through the finish from top to bottom on just the one door. We purchased an extended warranty through Lowe’s. I was told it was cosmetic and therefore not covered. The warranty company suggested I contact LG to see if maybe they would do something to make it right. I called LG and explained the situation. The representative did not apologize or offer any kind of support. She just simply told me that it was a cosmetic issue and not their problem. I began to explain how crappy it was of them after I placed trust in their company when I chose to spend over $3k on fridge, she just hung up. Never again LG.

NEVER PURCHASE A LG PRODUCT! I purchased all new appliances for my kitchen.
NEVER PURCHASE A LG PRODUCT! I purchased all new appliances for my kitchen. Less than 10 months ago. The seal cracked and the light stays on constant. The sensor is very annoying. Going off all hours of the night. I have called Lowe’s to get nothing but a runaround, called LG numerous times, one service man showed up and never returned. The next appliance repair man notified me and cancelled due to LG not paying service providers for their work. On top of when I call LG, I am placed on hold for over an hour every single phone call and never make any lead way. I actually filed a claim the beginning of November 2018 and just a few days ago they tried to say my warrant had expired. I am irate and feel with all the complaints I have read on here, the company should be shut down by consumer service. How ridiculous to take advantage of consumers. Also, their extended warranty is just like throwing money into a fire. So useless! I have never been so upset over a purchase of any appliance like I am today with LG. I will never purchase another LG product nor will I ever shop at Lowe’s again! Less than one year old and no one will stand good for this “Lemon” of a refrigerator. I hope these people that treat others so bad get what they deserve after leaving this earth. Some of us work hard, do the right thing, and get walked on by shysters like LG. Very, very sad! I teach children to make the right choices in life. How upsetting to have to deal with inconsiderate businesses like LG. I really feel for the people that work for them. I would be embarrassed to admit that I worked for a business like LG. If you can’t afford to stand good for your products, you should just quit building junk!!! It’s a big rip off! LG is JUNK! They will never get my business again. BEWARE of THEIR LEMON PRODUCTS!

I have three LG appliances and I have major problem with all.My microwave shelf makes contact with the oven wall because of too much play with shelf brackets and because the shelf should be smaller that what it is. It burned a line through to the metal and arced sparks. I wrote to the company service on the LG website but they did not reply. Today I called LG. The company representative said that it was no longer covered with warranty. I stressed that it was a safety issue and a design flaw. I switched to a supervisor who did not budge from that stand. I explained that it has been that way since day one but I had been very careful, that I always pull the shelf to the most forward position. Of course, as it should be safe for everyone. She said that she could have someone repair it at my expense. I said this was not acceptable. She then said I should buy microwave paint at the hardware store to fix the oven before using it again and not to operate it in the future with the shelf in, some solution! She also said the manual explains when to remove the shelf. I asked if it says never to use the shelf since that would be the only way to avoid the problem. She acknowledged that it did not. I reminded her of the light relay fire issue that they had with their refrigerators and that LG avoided the responsibility for that for about 4 years. Online reports made it clear that they only started to cover the repair recently on the 2005 models. I also made note of the problem with the leaking of the water through the seam between the two panels on the front of the dishwasher. She noted my problem but again, she said that it was off the warranty, but that she would send someone to my home to repair it at my expense. Again, this problem exists since day one. Someone needs to make these people responsible for their products. The refrigerator incident could have burnt my house down. Heaven knows what damage the toxic fumes from the microwave could cause.

I purchased an LG gas range at our local Sears store thinking that it looked great in the photos. What a disappointment to spend over $1300 on this poorly engineered product! The control knobs cracked and became loose immediately. The customer service was a joke, just like the commercial on TV where the man (Peggy) from Siberia answers. Calls got dropped etc. New knobs with the same poor design cost $40.00 each! I did not replace them. I used glue and nylon ties to hold them on. The flames are all uneven and the metal covers are de-laminating. The knobs now are peeling from heat. I have decided not to buy any more LG products. It’s the only way to fight back obsolescence.

This washer left flakes of filth on my clothes after less than a month of washing for a family of 2! Customer Service said to buy a product at Home Depot and run “tub clean”. I did this but the flakes come back every 2-3 weeks and I must run the tub clean cycle and use the product, then rewash my clothes! What a waste of time, money and water! After running tub clean, the tub still needs to be wiped out. At 5’1” I cannot reach the bottom of the tub. I use a step stool which throws off my center of gravity. I also fear that the pressure on my ribs may fracture them...I am 69 and have osteoporosis. I wish I’d never bought this washer.

Bought new washer in August 2013. I have had the repairman out twice and machine still wont spin out sheets or towels. Electronic board has been replaced but LG refused to permit the first repairman to replace other parts that he thought were defective. I have wasted 1000 dollars on a machine that wont spin. I wish I had my 15 year old Whirlpool back. I bought the machine from Home Depot and they refuse to do anything until the original year warranty is out. After reading all these reviews, and after my own experience, I am very surprised, that this company is still on market. I bought my french door refrigerator LFX31945ST on July 2014 from Home Depot. On October 2014 it stopped working for a first time. Er rF code appeared. Called LG, they sent a technician. He showed me that ice build up behind the rear panel and blocked fan. He blamed us (or whoever installed the fridge) for not removing the plastic foil from the rear, which could cause this problem. Exactly after one year in October 2015 the same problem - first fan started making noise, and after two days eR rF code. Called LG (thanks God, I bought extended warranty), technician came, replaced few parts, said everything should be OK. Since then, literally every month we had this pattern - fan noisy - eR rf code, technician replaced some parts (I get lost what he replaced), said everything now should be fine, next month fan noisy....etc, etc. Finally, when I started demanding money back and mentioned that next time my lawyer will talk with you, they sent a third company, who following instruction on the phone from, I guess, LG, altered some settings, and in November 2016 they fixed it. Refrigerator worked over the year without any problems. We hoped our problems are over. Not so fast! In July 2018 refrigerator stopped cooling, no error code appeared, just we see the water one morning and thawed food. Called HOME Depot, they sent LG technician, who said that everything with the refrigerator is OK, and it got defrost because we did not close the door properly (!). OK, we believed in that, especially since this one morning refrigerator seemed to work OK. Not so long, after ~ four weeks again the same. Again, LG technician said we did not close the door properly, and we put too much food (!!). Home Depot protection plan refused to cover spoiled food, because technician did not find any failure. OK, that was enough, I started very closely monitoring temperature inside, and noticed that it is consistently higher than it should be (nearly room temperature in refrigerator compartment, and around 34F in the fridge. OK, called Home Depot third time. They sent a third company. After two weeks or so, several cancelled appointments, etc technician showed up and after 15 seconds staring at the refrigerator said that drainage (or something like this) needs to be replaced (very peculiar way of diagnosing). It took another month to order a part, schedule an appointment, etc, and when finally he appeared with part, he said that refrigerator is not fixable. The same day I got the phone call from Home Depot that they will send LG technician to confirm this diagnosis. The same LG technician appeared and said that compressor needs to be replaced. Again, waiting two weeks (only two weeks) for part, and refrigerator was fixed in October 2018. Two weeks ago fan started making noise, and today morning eR rF code appeared. Called Home Depot this morning...To sum up: when Home Depot protection plan expires I will throw away this piece of junk and buy new one, from different manufacturer. I will do may best to get my money back from LG or Home Depot, because in my opinion this fridge was inherently broken from the beginning. I will closely watch what is going on with that class action. STAY AWAY FROM LG REFRIGERATOR, otherwise you will soon write review similar to mine and hundreds of others on this webpage.

Never buy this headache. As you will see from the previous reviews, the refrigerator stops cooling within 3 years and customer service is terrible. Its been a year, several service men come and it doesnt get fixed. Customer service is always reassuring you that they will escalate the issue but soon you are forgotten - no return call. During the winter the fridge started to do the opposite: freeze everything so we had to turn if off for periods. Now it makes a loud motor sound and, still, we have not heard back from customer service after two letters. I have been given the runaround so long that I am considering a filing a case. Dont be fooled by the concerned response this review will get, they will eventually ignore you. They deserve to be sued for their faulty product; their non-existent customer service and refusal to honor their warranties. Never, ever buy this fridge - what a lemon.

This model is an older LG, before the compressor fiasco began, only part that has failed thus far is the freezer compartment ice maker. I know that the company is trying to produce highly efficient products, but I say “At what cost are they willing to sacrifice?” Everyone knows that the units being produced nowadays are in no way, shape or form as reliable as the units from yesteryear. Is this level of service LG intends to provide? I received what I felt was extremely poor service, and I felt I should write and inform you. They did issue a complaint reference number **; still, they are saying that they do not have LG parts and testing equipment. Im sure that this isnt the level of service you intend to provide. We purchased a top load True Balance model WT4870CW early July 2013. No need for repair just yet but I cannot imagine we will remain unscathed. Countless UE warnings and subsequent UE shutdowns despite manually redistributing load and sorting by evenly weighed items. Water hammer on our plumbing from rapid cycle solenoid function when not experiencing uneven load. We will continue to hope for best while querying the web for updates and solutions (yeah... sure). Additional, my husband had to assist with remove parts and pulling out the refrigerator. Something I could not have done. I AM READY FOR A REPLACEMENT!

When we built our house in 2006, I specifically requested LG appliances. This was a huge mistake. Within 2 1/2 years, the dishwasher quit working. I went to LGs site and found a repairman. He proceeded to tell me that the motor had burned out and it would be over $300 to repair. LG said that since it was a 2-year warranty, they could not help me. Last year, the temperature control on my range went out. The temp would be set for 350 and within a few minutes, the entire kitchen was filled with smoke because it had scorched everything in the oven. Needless to say, I didnt even bother with a repairman. I simply replaced the stove. At about the same time, the icemaker in the French door refrigerator quit working. After googling troubleshooting recommendations, it would appear that this is defective as well. It would be over $200 to repair but I believe it was mentioned that it would fail again soon so there wasnt any point in replacing it. That leaves the over the range microwave. So far, it is the only thing that hasnt screwed up. I will never purchase nor recommend purchasing another LG appliance.

We bought the LG LMXS30776S refrigerator in early 2017 and it was working okay (it did make louder than expected noises most of its short life) until December 15, 2019 when we woke up one morning to a trail of water on the floor and all of our food ruined. We paid for someone to come out to tell us that it was a dead compressor and to contact LG for a replacement part.An LG tech came out and replaced the compressor, and while the freezer worked, the fridge portion remained at room temperature. He came back the next day to fix it again, but the fridge did not get below 42 degrees. An LG contracted appliance repair company then came out and determined that new parts (fridge evaporator and another compressor) were required. They returned a week later and replaced the compressor again along with the fridge evaporator, but after they left nothing worked at all.The LG tech came out again and got fridge half-working again (still does not go below 42), but the freezer is still not functioning. LG tech now says we can get a new fridge due to multiple visits, but the LG customer service says their tech needs to say it is not repairable and why and the tech is not willing to make that call for us. We have now initiated the replacement request process three times (each time takes 3-5 days) the first two times weve waited a week only to find out they messed up the paperwork and had to start again. Weve been without a fully functioning fridge/freezer for over 6 weeks. Weve wasted hundreds of dollars on food that got spoiled. The LG refrigerator is an utter disappointment, as is their customer service.

Bought a Kenmore elite (this one is just a LG under the Kenmore name) back in July of 2017 for $2400. Compressor is dead. Freezer doesnt freeze and refrigerator does not get cold. Sears sent a tech out and he quickly determined its the LG compressor issue. Parts are covered but it will be $487 to replace compressor, dryer filter and 3 way valve. Oh and there are plenty of accounts of it just failing again in a few months. UGH... Never LG anything again. You have been warned!

Purchased (4) LG appliances from Lowes. The dishwasher, model LDF7774BD has poorly designed racks... glasses and dishes fall over or roll around when you open and close the unit when adding additional dishes until it is full enough to run. The rack design is the big negative, will not hold as many dishes as our old one. We really did read the owners manual and watched the online videos which are not much help. Called LG customer NO Service and imagine they said they have never heard this complaint before... ha! DONT BUY LG DISHWASHERS EVER!! We will be returning the dishwasher to Lowes.

I was very excited and purchased all brand new LG appliances in late 2016 after purchasing a new home. The dishwasher has 3 racks and after 4 months the top brackets are supposed to be adjustable and do not stay upright. They are supposed to clip into brackets and have come apart. In addition, there are 6 spots on the upper and lower rack that have been burned and are completely falling apart. This was a very high end dishwasher and will not buy another LG. My brand new stainless French door refrigerator with 2 freezer drawers is also a disappointment. The side areas have broken apart and I have taped them together. Very poor design as it only holds very few items that are tall like milk gallons.

I purchased an LG model # LRFD22850ST about 5 years ago. On and off for the last 5 years, my fire alarms would go off. We could never find what the cause was. Thought maybe it was just the batteries needing to be replaced in my alarms. Never thought it could be the lights inside our refrigerator. Then one day, I opened up the refrigerator to the smell of burnt plastic. The light fixture cover was melted to the refrigerator. The sockets were black, and the food on the top shelf was as hot as if it just came out of the oven. I peeled off the light fixture and was able to get the light bulbs out. I unplugged the entire unit and called LG. They told me there was a problem (I later discovered there was a class action lawsuit) and that they would send someone out to fix the problem. No charge to me. I was told that I should be fine to plug the unit back in but to make sure not to put any light bulbs in. They set up an appointment with a service provider they chose. The service provider called me and LG and refused to take the call. They said it was very difficult to deal with LG and were never able to get the parts needed. LG then chose another service provider. Same story. They refused the call for same reason. LG then informed me that they ran out of service providers in my area and that my case was being transferred to the Locator Department (I guess this happens quite a bit for the company to set up an entire department to find people / someone to service their appliances!). They said that would take 5 - 7 business days. Of course, this was on a Thursday and Columbus Day is on Monday. So they probably wont even start to look till Tuesday, which means seven business days is actually more like 2 weeks. But I should be ok to plug it back in and wait all that time and take the chance that my house will burn down! I have spoken to several repair companies and many salespeople, and all seem to believe that if an appliance goes on fire you should never plug it back in. So Im off to buy another appliance. Dont think I will ever get anything from LG. Customer service was horrible. If youre looking at appliances, I would think twice on an LG product.

Purchased LMXS30776S/02 fridge from H. H. Gregg in May of 2016, actually delivered in July. We were replacing a 10-year old Frigidaire gallery/professional side-by-side that was difficult to open fully due to our kitchen configuration. Aside from an occasional evaporator fan failure ($10.00 and 20 minute fix for a novice like myself), it never gave us a single problem and was a beautiful unit. The salesman raved about the durability of the LG linear compressor. We opted for a 5-year extended warranty (which is now defunct as the company that services this will not answer customer requests via their web page... which is the only form of contact). It began on 04/16/2019 and ended in the complete lack of cooling sometime around midnight. The fan is running, compressor is running but noisy, no cooling, coils room temperature. I attempted to contact LG, but they dont answer the phone... They send you a troubleshooting email and then refer you to expensive 3rd party repair services once out of the 1 year (criminal) parts and labor warranty. Looking at parts, a compressor for an average fridge (in a kit with isolators, drier, harnesses, valve, etc) is around $150.00 for the average Electrolux/Frigidaire or equivalent. Sure, there is some soldering. The same bare compressor for the LG is nearly $400.00 (because you can charge what the market will bear, forget being fair). The drier is an additional $60.00. Im guessing that installation is basically going to be less than the total of the parts as is customary, and then there is the charge for vacuuming it down and installing the 4.76oz of R134 refrigerant. Not to mention the warped subfloor under our fridge from the ice in the ice maker melting everywhere and the loss of a few hundred dollars in groceries. Again, criminal. There was a class-action lawsuit, however our fridge was brand new when this witch hunt began, so we had no reason to look for such a thing. Now that it has failed prematurely, I learn that warranties were extended for the few rather than the many. All in all, Id like to thank LG for being so classy about ignoring this issue and the customers who paid a small fortune hoping that you actually do get what you pay for or at least be treated fairly when a problem did arise... just to find out that a college dorm fridge was probably a better deal. Thanks, LG. I hope your reputation eventually catches up with you!

Next day microwave still broke! Keep in mind it hasnt worked out of the box.I called LG and once again asked them to replace it and they refused and offered to send the same useless repair service out again. If I took off another half day. I now would have lost more money than the microwave cost! Keep in mind it has never worked!!! I filed a complaint with the BBB and they answered basically that I was not getting the unit replaced. I also filed a complaint with the State attorney generals office which I have not heard back from yet. Now you are wondering why I didnt get this cared for during the first six months. Well I had brain surgery and even had to learn to walk again so that washer was not my priority at that time. We purchased LG french door refrigerator LFXS29626W from Home Depot on 11/17/15 for over $2000. We loved the refrigerator until 9/14/18 when we discovered the refrigerator was not cooling, the ice maker not working, the freezer not working, and food in the freezer thawed. My husband spent many hours on the phone, only to find nobody willing to service LG refrigerators. Upon reviewing the horror stories experienced by very, very many other owners of LG refrigerators, we decided to simply cut our losses and purchased a new Kitchen Aid refrigerator from a local family owned store. Our over $2000, less than 3 year old LG refrigerator will be going to the recycler. It is most disappointing to see LG show such lack respect for their customers who have spent their hard earned money on this product. It seems apparent from all the reviews that LG has known for sometime that their product was defective, but where is their effort for correction. We will not ever purchase another LG product again and have advised everyone we know of our experience.

We purchased an LG Gas Range in November of 2012. Starting in May of 2015, the oven racks started becoming a struggle to slide them in and out of the oven. We noticed that the blue enamel was gone on the tracks where the oven racks slide in and out. We have contacted LG and they keep giving us the run around. We even sent pictures where it was evident that the enamel was gone and you could clearly see the metal. They responded with the following email, Sir: This is with regard to the request of range racks for model#LRG3095st. The unit was purchased 11/15/2012 which is over a year and not qualified for us to send you the racks for free. This racks can be ordered with our Parts Distributor, MCM ELECTRONICS phone# 800-824-9491. Also, regarding the pictures that you sent to us which have stains on the blue enamel, these were caused by liquids, sauces, grease, and other foods spilled or splattered inside the oven which is cosmetic issue, therefore not covered. So, all they ever wanted to do was have us order our own racks and state that these were stained by grease, liquids, etc. Obviously, he did not look at the picture and it appears he is stating that these things will eat the enamel off of the inside of the stove to where the metal is exposed... LG has a problem and is not wanting to take care of any problem pertaining to their product. Their customer service representative told me that it was out of warranty and that it is not covered. So basically, the enamel in the LG oven that costs around $1,000 is only meant to last 2 to 3 years. DONT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

I like side by side doors with the freezer on the bottom. The special compartments in the side door are also a good feature that I didnt know I needed but now wouldnt want to be without. The one thing that I would for sure change is the door alarm timing. I would want to keep it the same for the freezer but wish that we would have the option of making it a little longer for the refrigerator doors. LG WT1101CW Washing Machine. Dont Buy LG. Warranty Not Honored. I purchased an LG top loading washing machine a year and a half ago after my twenty-year-old Maytag machine made of steel with a solid lid that finally needed to be replaced. Within months of buying this machine, the plastic around the hinges of the lid began to crack and started to crumble at the hinges. The plastic is not holding up to the opening and closing of the lid on my unit. I had the lid and hinges replaced four times for the same problem. Once the plastic around the hinges starts to crack and disintegrate, the lid cannot close, and you cannot use the machine at all. Customer service assured me after the fourth repair for the same problem that the unit would be replaced as defective. The plastic on the new lid after 5 months is starting to crack again, so I called and found out that my case was directed to the Defective Return Team and they rejected the claim. They told me it has been over a year since the purchase and it is now out of warranty. I have been repairing this brand new machine within a few months of purchasing it. Home Depot says its out of their hands, its up to LG but LG has not adhered to their own policy that after three visits to repair the same problem, it is considered unrepairable and is considered to be a defective machine and will be replaced. They will now send a technician out for a fifth time for the same repair. Its not fixing the problem! The lid keeps cracking around the hinges on both sides. Poor quality, poor workmanship, cheap materials and they will not replace the machine, and now that it is out of warranty, they may not replace the lid when it cracks again and I will have a machine I cannot use that I paid almost $700 for. After experiencing this, I will never buy another LG product again.

I bought a LG dishwasher in 2017 from Home Depot. Registered it and it worked fine for almost a year. Then it started stopping before the drying cycle and constant beeping and didnt drain. Over the coarse of 9 months, 2 different repair companies, many hours on the phone, weve had the control panel replaced 2 times, the mother board replaced 1 time, the door lock/latch 3 times. Each repair lasts about 2-3 weeks. I have taken videos of the problem when they didnt believe me. The machine shows no error code and the smart app on my phone when linked says the machine is working fine. I have asked for a replacement washer because this is a lemon. I have documented all my emails to LG and to the service techs. When I read all the negative reviews on this same product, and under the review LG replies to contact them by calling them, or contacting on Facebook or Twitter because they want to make it right, I have to laugh. I have done all that including contacting them on Facebook. When the repair man visits your home and reports your problem to LG tech support, then sends the report to LG, tells you to wait for LGs response. No response in over a week so I call customer support. You cant call tech support only the repair guys have access to them. Customer service doesnt have access to Tech support. They leave them a note to call you. So you go round and round. I am the owner of a 2 year old LG French door refrigerator that failed over
I am the owner of a 2 year old LG French door refrigerator that failed over Thanksgiving. Being it was the holidays, I took to dealing with the matter immediately by contacting LGs customer service department. In the initial conversation, we determined that the issue was likely the compressor, which if true, would be covered under warranty. Learning that an authorized technician was needed to service the appliance I was then given a phone number to a local service dealer in the Scottsdale area. This company did not return my call but, I was able to get through the week after Thanksgiving. They told me that they had only one technician on staff authorized and he was out of town for 3 weeks. This was not acceptable being the holidays and the fact that we had a full house.Through my own inquiry, I found one repair service willing to work on LG appliances... most would not because they have a pretty bad reputation it appears. The only issue, was that we needed to have him authorized. This I was able to begin through a chat with a member of the LG customer service department, however, the authorization was never put forward I was to discover. This required another online chat, some apologies and eventually a successful authorization for my serviceman. Now able to open the back of the appliance, indeed it was discovered to be an issue with leaking coolant and a faulty part (parts). Now began the test of getting the parts (under warranty) ordered and delivered to my repairman. The part was ordered and we waited. I requested that someone contact me to let me know when it would arrive. This was wishful thinking. I opened another chat to see where the part was and the LG agent could not find any information and asked for a PON number which I did not have. He said perhaps the part was on back order. To shorten a very long litany of my technician and myself spending hours of precious time getting the runaround with (excuse me) a very incompetent customer service system; my repairman was told after many conversations with the parts dept., that 30 day deadline was expired and we have to start all over again. So another chat last week resulted in a request for authorization again and I was told a rush request would be made for second authorization. I was also again promised that the agent would keep me posted. Yea right. Having no fridge for the holidays with a houseful of family is frustrating in and of itself and 2K plus fridge should not fail in just two years; add a complete run-around by the folks we trusted with hard earned money with their brand over many other choices on the market, to simply supply a part and authorize and repair completely beside myself. All I need is a warrantied part, a second authorization (since time expired because of LG inefficiency), an LG customer service person who will see the process through and an attempt by LG to stand by its motto; life is good. I believe all agree that those requests are reasonable. To date I have had 6 chats average 40 minutes each, three long phone calls, a long wait for the supervisor but disconnected after 20 minutes, 4 letter submissions and a technician about to give up because of time lost from numerous calls to the parts department and total frustration. The fridge failed 11-24-16 and todays date is 1-13-17 and zero success. If anyone knows of a way I can pressure these people for one or two damned parts; (that my service guy could have fixed it in one hour two months ago) please let me know.

We originally purchased our LG LRE3061BD range in September of 2017. Within a week of owning it the cooktop cracked. We called to get a replacement but being as it was a newer model the replacement tops were backordered several months. Going several months without a stove would not work as we are a house of 5 and I need to be able to feed our littles. We went out and purchased another one of the same model as all of our appliances were a matching set.Now fast forward to today and our cooktop is cracked AGAIN. There was no moment where we saw it crack. We went to the stove which was off at the time and saw the crack. I have owned several cooktops over the years and have never had the glass crack before. Now Ive had the same model crack twice in two years. I called LG and they informed me that it was no longer under warranty. They also told us that there is a recall on this particular cooktop for the burners not working properly. After hanging up and researching the replacement part I called LG back. If Im going to Shell out another 350.00 for a replacement cooktop I want the recall fixed as I dont know if this could be what is causing the glass to crack. When I call back I speak to someone else who now tells me there is no recall on this model. I dont understand how in 5 minutes there is such a drastic change in the information Im being given. I ask to speak to a supervisor and I am placed on hold. The man gets back on and says that he spoke with his supervisor and has escalated the call and a supervisor will call me back. I asked when they will be calling and he says that it will be 24-48 hours for the message to get to the supervisor and for them to call me back. I explained to him that this would not work as I either need to order a replacement now or go get yet another new stove to be able to cook for my littles. He says it takes that long for the message to get to the supervisor.I explained to him that in this day and age with email and phones it does not take 48 hours for a message to get to someone. He puts me on hold again and tells me he spoke with his supervisor again and he will review the information and call me back in a few minutes. That was almost an hour ago. We shall see if they call back and if it goes anywhere. I would not recommend purchasing this product. I believe the small triangles in the glass are playing a toll on the structural integrity of the glass. This is the only difference between the cooktops I have owned previously and the two that have now cracked. I am not hard on my appliances and it breaking twice in two years is unacceptable.

I really like this washer except sometimes I could not wash a lightweight quilt. The spin cycle would stay on 6 and it was too heavy for the washer to handle. And once the rubber that went around the inside of the machine came off and water spilled out all over the place and the repairman said that happened often.

LG LFX259785SB/00 - 4 year young LG refrig compressor failed. Shame on LG but the kicker is after almost 1 week we were told by LG that the comp is on BACKORDER and MAYBE be in by September 1 BUT NOT SURE. Tells me that this model and others who use same compressors were bad from the get go. Who can go without refrig for that long??? My mother who is 90 and still able to live on her own is going through this as we speak... $1900.00 + and only 4 years of use. Had to go out and buy her a small refrig - just trying to get her by until and unknown time of repair. Food lost and labor should be included in the fix but it wont happen. Class action anyone??

Spent almost $3000 less than 3 years ago on a refrigerator. On April 7 it just quit cooling.... I understand things happen but the customer service I received trying to get it repaired was terrible!! I finally had to file a Better Business Bureau complaint to get a buy back. But I went over 2 months without a fridge. 2 months of dealing with LG who really cared less about my issues. There is a class action lawsuit happening. LG do the right thing and recall the fridges instead of putting people through this headache. Picture is the fridge going to the landfill.

LG reached out to get the refrigerator repaired. (It should not have broken so soon.) They need to do some improving with their servicing contacts. Speed up the communications. My fridge is working fine and it appears that LG tries to give the impression that they care.

I have talked to supervisors and executive corp. supervisors and nothing. I will never buy another LG product, and you shouldnt either if you are reading this. 6 days of my life are gone and had to take time off work not to mention over 700 $USD of food spoiled! They must know this model has had issues but to just leave a good customer hanging is unacceptable! I have had to talk with 6 different people and 3 were supervisors at LG and no one is helping. DO NOT GET YOURSELF MIXED UP WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY COULD NOT EVEN FIND A REPAIRMAN FOR MY FRIDGE!

Model WT1101CW - I was so excited when I bought our LG top loading HE washer in July 2014. I was impressed w/ the features and the fact that it was SUPPOSED to have TRUE BALANCE. What a bunch of crock! Everything was wonderful for the first year and half and then we started getting the UE error message for unbalanced loads on the spin cycle. This problem got progressively worse as time went on no matter how many times I redistributed the clothes, meticulously sorted clothes so that I only washed towels or heavy things at a time. Now I cant even get one load done in a day, b/c it keeps adding water to REBALANCE the load, or I have to stand over it to watch it spin and turn it off so it wont add more water or, constantly monitor the weight of the wet clothes, or have to run my dryer for hours to get the clothes dry b/c the clothes never fully went through a whole spin cycle and were still very wet. This machine has actually used more water, and electricity with the all day washing or extra drying.Every problem expressed by previous reviews is on point. I cant believe that I had to call customer service after ONLY 2 1/2 years of owning this appliance. PATHETIC. And customer service was joke quoting me $280-$340 for a tech to come out, after the REMOTE DIAGNOSTIC didnt DIAGNOSE the problem. This was a selling feature by the way, but required me to call during certain hours and press certain buttons. So I will NEVER buy another LG product again, and also think that I am going back to regular Agitator washing machines. This machine is NOT energy efficient, does NOT balance your clothes, and does NOT save water. All hype and NO substance!!

When I went looking for a refrigerator, the one from LG looked like the bet
When I went looking for a refrigerator, the one from LG looked like the better one to get because of the price. But I’m sorry that I bought it. The filter goes out almost every month that youd have to put a new one in because I had the water in the front. It’s supposed to last six months and it doesnt even last three. The shelves are smaller than I thought they were, and you can’t put anything on the doors. It doesnt even hold a bottle wide enough. It’s a lot smaller than it looks. Also, you can’t even look at them in the stores anymore. You can’t open and look at them and there’s just so much cubic foot. Not everybody knows what a cubic foot is. You just order it and they send them to you. So, you’re stuck with it. It’s ridiculous. The reps from LG were horrible. They just said yes and did nothing and then turned it over to this place in New Jersey to fix it. I constantly called them, and they were nasty. I finally got one girl in there that was very friendly and explained everything to me. She said that LG compressors were very bad and they knew about it. They just keep putting it off. I called about my refrigerator three different times, and they kept telling me there was nothing wrong with it until it finally died and it was only a year and a half old. It’s ridiculous because the compressor had a seven-year warranty on it. Now that they had put a new compressor in after a year and a half, they said I no longer have a warranty. That’s it. If this one goes, I will never buy another LG again.

Husband and I purchased a LG dryer model # DLEX3570W two and a half months ago from Conns Appliances and noticed the print around the settings was just wiping off. One side is gone and the other side is smearing. This is a front loader dryer and wasnt cheap. We also purchased the matching washer. The washer print settings are fine so far. We owned LG washer and dryer before this set and although the washer failed after about 4 years, due to pricing we thought we would give it another try. We called LG over the print coming off and sent them photos. They said it wasnt covered under warranty because it is cosmetic. My husband explained to them that it wasnt cosmetic when it affects whether or not you can see what setting that you are setting the dryer on. They said that they wouldnt cover it and that was that, basically. My husband called Conns Appliances and didnt receive any help for them either, even after telling them that he was going to have them come and pick up their junk. LG tried to say that we must have cleaned it with a harsh chemical. I read on a review somewhere back in 2007 they tried to tell the same thing to another woman. Warranty says any defect in materials or workmanship. This is a defect. Im nearly 60 years old and have owned washers and dryers all of my adult life and have never had the settings print come off. I dont care how long that I had owned it. Thinking of getting a lawyer.

They refused to tell us how they would respond, and then gave us a refund, but refused to repair/replace the unit. They do not answer calls/faxes, and do not seem to care about their customers. I spent a total of over 20 hours on calls/emails/faxes. Every call involved 15-35 minutes on hold before getting to a live person. They kept passing me from one department to another. Please avoid all LG kitchen appliances if possible. Our refrigerator and dishwasher (both only 2.5 years old) has given us nothing but problem. The fridge started making a loud humming and gurgling noise intermittently about 2 months ago. Then 3 weeks ago, the freezer gave out and the following day the whole thing stopped working. Its been 3.5 weeks and we still dont have a working fridge. Apparently, all parts are shipped from Korea which takes days to weeks to get. Our service provider who was referred by Home Warranty of America (also a horrible warranty company) ordered the wrong part which will take another 7-10 days to get the part. I am livid and fed up. Also, our fickle LG dishwasher has been giving us problems since the day we moved in. It turns on when it wants to. We have to constantly reset the breaker for it to function properly.

We purchased a brand new LG washer and dryer from Home Depot in November 2011. As soon as we started using the washer, we noticed water was leaking from the bottom of the machine, which several months later caused heavy damage to the drywall and created black mold. Initially we contacted LG in November and a technician was sent to our home three times; however, they couldnt identify the problem. First, we were told that the sensors had to be replaced and then the machines had to be replaced. However, LG doesnt replace products, they try to fix it. It wasnt until June 2012 that we noticed there was mold on our baseboard. This has caused major stress on us since we have a newborn. We called an environmental company to come and inspect the wall and test the air in our home, which cost us $450, and LG still refuses to replace the washer and dryer. The problem with the dryer is, if you place comforters or a heavy load, it shuts off without finishing the complete dry cycle. I constantly have to check the washer for leaks and turn on the dryer every time it shuts off. I cannot understand how brand new machines cause so much trouble. We explained this to LG and they said they can only send a technician to correct the problem. So far, the technician has come twice this month and it still hasnt been fixed. I cannot understand how this company cannot replace defective machines. This is horrible customer service. We are disappointed and will never recommend nor purchase any LG products again.

We purchased an LG French door with freezer drawer in bottom. Have had problems with mold developing along the door gaskets as doors do not closed properly. Yesterday, there was an odor that smelled like burning plastic. It smelled like some electrical insulation was burning. The smell diminished, but this morning we discovered that the electrical cord was burning at the outlet. I called the service contract people and was told that the electric cord was not covered, that if they sent someone out it would cost $100.00+. Drove to the local HHGregg store where we purchased it originally and spoke with the manager, which was as helpful as talking to the service provider. Lg really needs to improve quality. I have experienced only junk coming from LG. Lg stove, broken after 3 years of use. Should not need a $300 gas valve And an ignitor $100, already! I am a service tech. Lg microwave exhaust fan does not reach 400 cfm (needed for gas stove) and goes slower when microwave is turned on. Junk! Air flow meter only reads up to 260 cfm with a transition to direct airflow through meter. Refrigerator, you have to open both doors to open crisper drawers.Very poor design! How about someone actually try to clean this fridge...what a joke! Takes almost a day to break down fridge to clean. Fire that designer, probably couldn’t design a way out of a paper bag. Lg ductless split ac. Again just junk! Poor design. I will be sharing my experiences with the garbage your company is putting out. Not a happy lg user, Richard. Lg gas stove, lg fridge, lg microwave exhaust and experienced lg ductless split. JUST DON’T BUY LG! Parts are waaay too expensive! Also not readily available! Too many issue in design to mention for fridge. Gas stove is very poorly designed. Very cheap. These products just feel CHEAP! And they are cheap, cheap, cheap products! A day later it powered on but wouldn't function properly. Scared I would have warranty expiration problems, I quickly purchased an additional 2 year extension and sent in a service repair via LG website. Two days later they contacted me and tried some troubleshooting over the phone. It didn't work so the rep said someone would contact me. The repairman contacted me 2 days later and said he needed to order a power board. Two days later he called and stated he was coming to repair. He showed and made the repair and the dishwasher has been working flawlessly. I also have had an OLED TV for 2 years and never experienced any problems with it.

This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Wee
This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Weekend in 2015, we were rushed to replace it --- and have regretted that ever since. We purchased an LG French door fridge at a major retailer, with just the one day to do research (because, our old one had died and wed already lost a couple hundred dollars in perishable food and had kids to feed). The linear compressor promised to be quiet, efficient, and durable - the literature boasts that an officially proven 20-year-durable lifespan realizes your peace-of-mind.At first, it was great - because it was new. Just ten months in, however, we began having problems as the fridge developed a clicking sound when the fan (compressor?) kicked on, and then a couple weeks later got an error code on the panel and the fridge stopped cooling. We lost another fridge full of groceries, and called LG for repair. It was well under warranty, being just one year old.The technician they dispatched called us before showing up, and told us this is a common problem - and that we have to defrost our frost-less new fridge when we hear that clicking because it means ice is building up inside on the fan. OK... So we did that, and the fridge began working again (this is in May/June 2016). Then, like clockwork yearly, we would hear the clicking and do the overnight defrost (2017, and 2018).So again it began clicking again in early July 2019, and we got ready to do the same thing - except instead, the fridge just quit working entirely on July 9th 2019 while we were at work and we came home to a flooded kitchen (from the melted ice) and once again, had to toss a fridge full of perishable foods (second time with this fridge). We unplugged it and left it overnight to defrost, as before, and plugged it back in on the 10th (empty). Left it for the day while at work, and when we came home the inside of the fridge was over 70*, clearly not cooling, but no errors on the panel, so I called LG for service on July 11th. This begins the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any manufacturer.July 11th: talked to condescending service rep who eventually agreed that we needed a service call. Scheduled it for July 16th (earliest available), and gave me a confirmation number which I read back. I arranged to take a half-day off work to be home for the 8-12 hour window. He says that luckily Im still within the 5-year warranty; I tell him my paperwork says it is 7 years warranty. He updates my account... Then assures me that the parts are covered under the warranty and I will only have to pay the labor for the service call.July 16th: at 11am, I called LG to check the ETA of the tech so I could update my office on when I would be in. Was told that my tech had just finished a call in a town 15 minutes from me, and that I was next on his list. At 12:15 still no tech, so I called back --- and was told that my service was completed. Spent quite a bit of time on the phone to learn that the confirmation number I was given was for someone else, and that I had no service call scheduled after all. I was quite angry, as Id stayed home for this and had been without a fridge for a week already. The person I spoke to said she was in the escalation department and she promised to call me within an hour with a resolution to get my fridge fixed, that her supervisors assured her it would be done that day.At 1:40 I called back (because, surprise - no call from LG and no tech) even angrier because I was no closer to a working fridge AND now Id lost a full day of work without pay. Im not allowed to talk to the same person I spoke to at 12:15, because she is helping other customers... Am told there is no way they can fix my fridge today but they will dispatch my call to an authorized service repair center, who would schedule a new service date. An hour later I get a call from said service repair center ---- who informed me that they dont service my area because they are in a different STATE. Yep, that last LG rep sent to the wrong repair center. So I call LG again (4th time this day), and this time Im told that I have to wait for the system to call me to schedule something, but that would be either today or tomorrow. Its 3:30 at this point. The rep cant help any further. Next day, by 4pm, still no call so I phone LG again. This rep tells me it can take 3-5 days for the system to call me to schedule something.... Each time I call, Im given a different scenario, none of which are getting my fridge fixed. The next day (July 18th), I get an email cancelling my appointment - which I havent been able to make so I dont know what this is for. July 19th: I call again because still nothing and its been ten days since my fridge broke. This rep is able to schedule a service call (what happened to the system??), and we set it for July 24th, next available day.July 23rd: given the absurd hassle Ive had to deal with to get this fridge fixed, I call in to confirm my appointment for the next day because I cant lose yet another day from work and have no tech show up. Am told parts were ordered on the 19th (which parts? the ones that always break, that fancy compressor that is supposed to be so great and durable but only lasted four years). This time the rep tells me that they have extended a courtesy warranty to cover the labor in addition to the parts, and that they received a couple of complaints. I have talked to 8 different LG customer service reps by this time, expressing many complaints from me on this whole fiasco, especially against that first rep who didnt bother to schedule a tech at all and cost me a days wages. The rep also said a grocery reimbursement would be sent in a couple of weeks for the inconvenience. This is the first Ive heard about this option.July 24th: my fridge is finally fixed, with a new compressor. The tech did not charge us for the visit, so at least that part LG honored. Fifteen days to get the fridge fixed, replacing a part that was the big selling point, four years and two months after we bought it. We lost tons of perishable food from the fridge and freezer (it holds a lot!), and two full days of work without pay. For two weeks weve had to eat out/eat convenience food because a picnic cooler just doesnt work that well to hold perishable foods that long, and its the middle of summer; it is an expensive way to eat! Now we wait for whatever grocery reimbursement they deem sufficient to compensate us, and count the days until the fridge breaks again, hoping it is still under warranty when it does. I dont trust this fridge at all. But we paid $3k for it, and cant afford to replace it yet. The environmental impact of manufacturers building appliances that fail after just a few years has got to be enormous and I wish there were lemon law type of things we consumers could count on for better durability.

We purchased an LG Bottom Freezer Fridge in 2011, cost over $2000. To date we have had 3 service calls for faulty boards to a drilling sound loud enough to drown out my TV in the next room. I called LG customer service. The first person Eddie hung up less than 5 minutes into the call. Called back to a person by the name of Luigie. I explained the issue to him, he had 2 ways to resolve the problem, 1: spend another $200 for a service call or 2: unplug my fully stocked refrigerator for a few days, when asked if LG was going to replace the spoilage, he said that LG does not assume that liability however, he did tell me that the issue is known by LG. Never again will I buy an LG product!

I hate my LG washing machine... it smells and there is water that accumulates in the rubber gasket and black mold! I think the problem is the horizontal drum... The water does not drain properly. I never heard of buying a product to clean your wash machine... That pretty much saying there are issues! The dryer also sucks! It shuts off before clothes are dry... So if youre not home to restart.. They smell! The dryer also seems to take a long time to dry. Who would think that products would decline in quality... With all this technology we have today!!! I want my old fashion washer and dryer back!!!!

LG Fridge Compressor dead 5 years after purchase, just after warranty expired. Contact LG support and only get a text link that doesnt work with Android phone..when enter description, which is mandatory, the Submit and Back button disappear, so cant send message. No way to speak to a human. Local repair companies wont work on this model fridge and if they do, it is cheaper to buy a new one. LG phone that is 2-3 years old is also no longer functioning correctly, battery dead after 30 minutes of surfing, blacks out, and freezes up daily. Im in IT at work so am careful with all electronics. Need a new fridge and phone. Not buying LG anymore! Out over $2,500.00 this month on LG and no customer service seems to be available to speak to. Life is NOT GOOD.:/

I bought a whole house full of LG appliances after a house fire in 2010. None of my items went into use until June of 2011. In the summer of 2017 my ice maker in my lfx31925st stopped working and I did a troubleshoot online and tried everything it showed. I contacted LG and was told that they sell products with disposable parts on them and that in this time span it is not uncommon for this item to need repair. I was shocked that my $2800 fridge would be considered by the company to basically be made of disposable parts. This was just the start of my troubles. About two months after this my freezer fan became very loud and I noticed my frost free freezer had a ton of ice in the back. I defrosted this but it kept happening and soon my freezer had stopped working and I had soup for ice cream and much unthawed meat. The fridge part still works somewhat if I keep only small amounts of items in there but I am unable to keep it well stocked as it will get to warm. I get from LG that I am no longer under warranty and there is nothing they can do. All I can say to anyone is stay away as this is not my only issue with LG.

Stay away from LG fridges. I have one that the ice maker has NEVER worked.
Stay away from LG fridges. I have one that the ice maker has NEVER worked. Cant get repairman out because LG do not pay their repairmen. JC Penney keep blaming it on LG and LG blames Penney. Meanwhile I am still paying on a fridge that is still under warranty with extended warranty, that I cant seem to get nothing done! BUT THE RUNAROUND! Still not through, that what small claims court and Fox 4 News is for!!! It just a shame to have to go to this extreme. Whatever happened to, if youre not pleased just simply return and get a full refund! Also, according to their reviews, I am not the only one unhappy!!!

LG Direct Drive Balance Washing Machine is the Pits! I purchased my washer
LG Direct Drive Balance Washing Machine is the Pits! I purchased my washer and dryer in the Spring of 2015. Here it is the Summer of 2016 and I am having problems with the washer. It takes me a week to finish a load of laundry. I keep getting a UL code. The clothes do not come out clean. They come out more wrinkled after the washer. Not very pleased. Real waste of $3000.00. Customer service could care less. Says washer is out of warranty. Evidently there is a problem because of all the complaints. If you buy this machine you better get a really good extended warranty. Never again.

In March 2009 I purchased an LG TROMM washer model WM2487HWM. I loved the washer and dryer. Until October 2012, the washer suddenly without any prior dripping warnings, developed a gushing leak when filling. I had a waterfall in my finished basement, the ceiling destroyed and furnishings soaked. The first floor where the washer was the hardwood flooring buckled a couple days later. I took it with a grain of salt, just clean it up and fix it. The part cost less than $10.00. There are YouTube videos to show you how to replace it. The hardest part of changing it was getting the heavy washer moved out to access the back to remove the cover. Part replaced, washer working fine, I am happy. Now just clean up the damage it caused. December 13, 2015, the same thing happened again. I am not taking this mess very well a second time. I should have realized by all the videos this was not just a fluke, but a reoccurring problem. I would not recommend a LG washer to anyone unless you have a damage proof place to put it.

At 6 months old our top load highest model LG washing machine we purchased
At 6 months old our top load highest model LG washing machine we purchased at Lowes has had problems. We are now in year 3 and have not had it fixed yet. Lowes, LG, and the Steel City Appliance in Sault Ste Marie, On are all useless. The appliance repair company has been to inspect washer, ordered wrong part, never shown up on 3 appointments, then quit doing LG repairs. Call LG. They say they will send someone from Sudbury 150 miles away, they say, We dont come that far. What a joke. We are at wits end. Dont buy LG.

Purchase our LG dryer a few months ago-It has a sensor that won’t let dryer dry at any setting, VERY POOR DESIGN- the lint trap is the main reason for the sensor stopping the dryer from drying—DONT PURCHASE ANY LG DRYER.

We bought the LG WT1701C washer and matching dryer for a new house. I start
We bought the LG WT1701C washer and matching dryer for a new house. I started to notice the clothes werent getting clean, even on the Hot setting. I felt the water, and the in the Hot setting, the water was barely tepid. A service tech came to look at it and informed me that most of the new washer brands have a top temperature of 100 degrees. I was shocked to find this out. He did inform me that selecting a different wash cycle than Normal, like Bright Whites or Oxi Sanitize, will give you water thats hotter but those cycle times are longer. Also, in the Normal cycle, it seems that the washer takes more time to sense the size of the load than it does to wash it. Although I saw that it had no center agitator, I assumed the washer action would be similar to the old agitators. But I have watched laundry loads that swish back and forth but sometimes the laundry on top doesnt get down to the tub that does the washing. The agitation doesnt seem to be very strong. Again, selecting a different setting like Heavy soil, will create a stronger agitation. If youre shorter than 5 6, youll need a stool to reach the bottom of the tub. And be careful about inadvertently pushing buttons once your load has started. While reaching in the washer, I inadvertently hit a button that changed the setting. I could not go back or resume and had to start over. I was 2/3 through the cycle so it was very inefficient in water and electric. So far the dryer seems to work well. Although its a nice looking set, I would not buy it again. Even with some concerns about the smell in front loaders, I would choose a front loader to make sure that the clothes tumble enough to get clean. I believe this model has been discontinued but there are newer models with similar model numbers that I believe will have the same issues.

Bought 11/18/12, this will be my third repair. The first was the ice-maker which was replaced at no charge - that was 11/14 - 2 years after purchase. The second was the fan which was making such a loud noise that I could hear it in the other room. That was repaired 2/15 and I had to pay for it. Now the fan did the same thing - a horrendous noise, and now my refrigerator button reads ER and my freezer, RF. I spoke with LG Cust. Service who told me I would have to pay for the repair; next I asked for a supervisor and they eventually connected me with an executive agent. I waited on the line for 15 minutes before anyone picked up. She told me if I faxed her my receipt, they would pay for the repair. My telling her that this refrigerator was 2 years 8 months old made no difference. When I faxed over the receipt, I called them to make sure they had it and someone else set up an appointment, after much trying - since it was the Thursday before July 4th, for repair on Tuesday July 7. I received a phone call today that the company cant make it on Tuesday, now its Thursday. I have lost most of my food and I have had it. This product is garbage and no one should sell it. I will tell EVERYONE I know never to buy anything that is LG.
