I have hated this washer almost since we bought it. Not long after we got it something in computer board malfunctioned within 6 months of buying it. Had to have a repair man come fix it. It is a LG WaveForce with direct drive inverter. It stops and beeps all the time because clothes are unbalanced. I dont feel it cleans my clothes very well. I have a hard time getting my clothes out of washer. (I am only 5 ft. tall so that is not really an issue with the washing machine itself.) Bottom line I will never buy a washer with a direct drive inverter. In my opinion a washer with an agitator is best for getting clothes clean.

I absolutely loves the ice maker and how the freezer gets really cold. Also its very spacious and has lots of different compartments to put smaller things in. Compared to all the other name brands I had, I loved LG the most. I had it for almost 4 years now and it hasnt let me down yet.. I love all LG products. They last a very long time. As I said earlier they are very spacious and I love that because I can buy everything instead of going back and forth to the store..

Our LG Washer product WT1501CW, that was loaded with only a bed sheet flipped over into our dryer, spilled water onto our floor and put a hole in our wall. We have contacted LG several times and despite having a warranty, the RA department has said they will only cover a buy back at a reduced cost. After two technicians have come out, LG has stated they lost our paperwork and would need to set up a new claim and have another technician come out. The claim has been open now for 26 days with no resolution.

My wife bought this LG Washing Machine Model WT5001C from a Best Buy shop. Since the break in we had problems and called technician to fix it. The cost of which now exceeded the cost of the machine. It is a fancy looking washer with a lot of fancy lights. Its sensors have limited light and go off often during a regular wash. The LG Service does not really care. It was a bad experience and recommend dont buy it even if it free as it cause so much inconvenience.

We purchased this front load washer September 11, 2018. Weve been trying to get our washer fixed since Feb 1st 2019. LG tech came to our house, identified parts that were required. Said he would order them for overnight delivery and be back on Monday to install. Parts didnt arrive and we had to call repeatedly. He called finally to say the parts were on back order. Nothing happened so we began contacting LG customer service. We were told parts were ordered incorrectly then were told they were on back order and there was no delivery date. After numerous calls to LG customer service the parts showed up with overnight delivery. Same Tech shows up, installs parts (major parts like stator and main control board). Washer still doesnt work. Weve talked to 2 supervisors and cant get a tech back to his. Then the fun began! We have only been able to wash 2 towels at a time for months. LG Tech blamed us wash loads are too small. Youre causing this problem. Always wash 6 towels at a time. Of course it still didnt work. Then they offered a $50.00 voucher to go to the laundromat??? Weve taken several days off work and LG solution is a voucher to the laundromat. Next time the LG tech came to our house. He said I was obviously using too much soap. He recommended tub clean cycle at least 4 times and using vinegar in two of those cycles. LG tech promised to return on Monday. Of course that didnt happen. LG customer service told us this is our fault and we have neglected taking care of our machine. Bottom line they will not honor the warranty. LG front load washer in my opinion are bad but LG customer service is horrible.

Ive had my LG washer for just under two years, and its been nothing but trouble. Water constantly leaks from underneath the machine. I do NOT put much detergent in, but the machine will constantly leave my clothes very wet - so much that I will have to re-run the cycle and drain the machine at every 5th load or so. Finding a repairman is next to impossible.

Bought a beautiful black stainless steel LG refrigerator for around $3500.0
Bought a beautiful black stainless steel LG refrigerator for around $3500.00 two years ago. I researched for six months before purchasing. I wanted the best I could afford since it has a pretty important job. I have a child with severe allergies so I needed a big fridge for her special food. We finally decided to get the biggest and best on the market. I read bad reviews on Samsung and good ones on LG. Now just two years later I join the millions of other dissatisfied LG customers who had their compressor completely go out and ruin food worth hundreds. To wait for an LG repairman is going to take weeks since there is only one and he, not surprisingly, is booked with other crappily made LG products. I got a refrigerator repairman to diagnose it yesterday, which I had to pay more fifty dollars more since it was a weekend. He told me that he sees nearly new LG refrigerator compressors go out often. He said that he put in a second new compressor in one month for his customer last week and the customer got him to help him haul his 3 year old LG refrigerator to the DUMP. We all need to start a class action lawsuit against LG since they are selling shoddy products and not standing behind them.

Im also having a problem with my washer! I have been trying to deal with LG, but even after talking to the supervisor with LG, they wont send the warranty part to my house. They want us to pay for labor of fixing the washer, even though on the one-page warranty, it says nothing about having to have a technician install the warranty part. I let the company know I will continue to complain about LG to all that I know including Facebook and Twitter! I paid $2500.00 for a washer and dryer. I expect to not have problems with it, and when I do, I want help to my questions and I want them to follow their warranty page they give their customers. I will never purchase a LG product again because the way I have been treated!

When we lost cooling in the fridge and freezer I contacted LG who told me to contact Mr. Appliance in NH who were their authorized repair representative and who would charge us $89.95 to diagnose the problem. I scheduled an appointment and took a half day off to have them come to diagnose the problem. They cancelled the appointment 15 minutes before they were supposed to show up. I rescheduled another appointment for another time (again taking another 1/2 day off) for them to say Yup it is the compressor and to say Now we have to order it. Third time (again taking a half day off) they came, took out the compressor, turned to me and say that the compressor in the box was the wrong one and that they would have to come AGAIN.First, if you work, then it is better to purchase another fridge since they only work monday through friday and if you would have worked instead of taking time off you will have made enough money to buy another fridge. It will be cheaper. Second, DO NOT purchase an LG appliance. They are horrible about their warranties and they probably do this purposely so that they do no not need to make good on their product. I will never purchase an LG appliance again. Save your money.

I was on the market for a new fridge but I didnt do so with a specific brand in mind. The LG I have now just so happened to be what I preferred when wholly considered, monetarily included. Along with a lot of others Im sure, my favorite part was of course the ice/water section built into the door. It made life that much more convenient, which is something we as a species crave seemingly primarily, convenience. The side by side design was weird to me at first, I mean compared to the traditional top and bottom design which has the homey feeling of childhood, that felt more like staying the night at a buddies. But over time Ive grown to love it overall.

My husband and I purchased a new LG refrigerator just 2 years ago. TWO weeks ago right before July 4th everything defrosted and melted in the freezer and the refrigerator went warm. I called LG warranty service and purchased a service plan. They scheduled to come July 6th. They cancelled that appointment because they overbooked pushed me back to July 11th. Five days later. This brings us to July 10th by 4 o clock I havent heard from them with the scheduled time so I called them. I found out they cancelled again! They didnt even have the decency to call. They would not give us a date when someone could get here. We were told we would receive a callback in 1 to 2 business days with a date. We refused to accept this or hang up because they can not be trusted. Over a long time probably a hour later we finally got a date. Saturday. Another 5 days.So we have been out a ref for 2 weeks. Tried to call someone ourselves to get this fixed. They came said it might be the fan but they are unable to get the part because LG wont give them the look up a number so we have 2 options wait another 5 days and hope they actually come or buy a new refrigerator. 2000 dollars down the drain for a new refrigerator. So beware when buying LG appliances. Its safe to say I will never ever buy an LG product again. LG corporation also did nothing. All they wanted to do is confirm our appointment. I can do that dont need them to do that for us. So stand clear of LG got sold a lemon and cant even get it fixed. Updates repair man came 2 weeks later got the new compressor and guess what still doesnt work. I am a month without a refrigerator with 2 kids in the summer. Never again will I go with LG for anything.

I was told to order the main board to maybe solve problem or just buy a Whirlpool. Needless to say, he diagnosed wrong and Im stuck with a new main board because cant return. And the problem (non working ice machine) wasnt fixed. I called LG and begged them to help. They sent Ramon from Excel. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! Ramon was professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. He contacted LG service team while here to troubleshoot problem properly. In the end he knew what he was doing and had my problem solved and with LGs amazing service, I have a new freezer door and a functioning ice machine. Thank you LG!

I called the LG Washer Recall Hotline first thing Monday morning. I was told that I would get a call in three to five business days to schedule an appointment. Thats a long time to wait just to get the appointment. So I called Best Buy since I bought an extended warranty of 5 yrs (glad of that!). They are not allowed to service recall problems. So, today being day four of the five-day wait, I thought Id call the service provider they assigned me to. No answer, but I left a message. I thought what the heck, maybe I should call LG back. Guess what? They made an error, the man said. They never gave the repair facility a phone # to reach me at. Gee, I would think someone would look at the repair order and figure that out! So, here I sit with laundry piling up because I have an inoperable machine. The drum came off! Im just lucky nothing was ruined inside of it when this happened. Im so shocked by this ineptitude. I once had a GE refrigerator go out. I called the company and told them it was maybe four years old. They had two people out to replace the motor the same day. What a difference from LG! Oh, and my LG is three years and four months old. I hear Speed Queen is the best, but I never see it sold anywhere! I would caution everyone to avoid LG!

We purchased an LG Dryer one week ago and have not been able to use the dryer from day 1. We plugged in the dryer and immediately received a shock. We plugged it into the same 220v outlet that our previous dryer used and never received a shock. We called hhgregg to ask for help and were directed to call LG for service. They gave us the name of a local appliance repair store, who we called. We set up an appointment and later confirmed that they would come out. But they called the LG Company and we were told that our problem was our homes electrical system, and they couldnt do anything to help us. We cannot use an appliance that has an electrical problem and gives shocks whenever you touch it. We are returning the dryer because they refuse to help us and say its our fault. We will never buy an LG appliance in the future and would suggest to others not to buy them either.

I wanted to be fair about my review so I waited until I had it a while. I bought this machine a yr ago and I am very disappointed. In any cycle, theres not enough water to get everything wet, say nothing about rubbing the clothes together. The repairman came out for a repair issue and stated the machine was made to wash ONE set of sheets not two. I purchased an LG model # LRFD22850ST about 5 years ago. On and off for the last 5 years, my fire alarms would go off. We could never find what the cause was. Thought maybe it was just the batteries needing to be replaced in my alarms. Never thought it could be the lights inside our refrigerator. Then one day, I opened up the refrigerator to the smell of burnt plastic. The light fixture cover was melted to the refrigerator. The sockets were black, and the food on the top shelf was as hot as if it just came out of the oven. I peeled off the light fixture and was able to get the light bulbs out. I unplugged the entire unit and called LG. They told me there was a problem (I later discovered there was a class action lawsuit) and that they would send someone out to fix the problem. No charge to me. I was told that I should be fine to plug the unit back in but to make sure not to put any light bulbs in. They set up an appointment with a service provider they chose. The service provider called me and LG and refused to take the call. They said it was very difficult to deal with LG and were never able to get the parts needed. LG then chose another service provider. Same story. They refused the call for same reason. LG then informed me that they ran out of service providers in my area and that my case was being transferred to the Locator Department (I guess this happens quite a bit for the company to set up an entire department to find people / someone to service their appliances!). They said that would take 5 - 7 business days. Of course, this was on a Thursday and Columbus Day is on Monday. So they probably wont even start to look till Tuesday, which means seven business days is actually more like 2 weeks. But I should be ok to plug it back in and wait all that time and take the chance that my house will burn down! I have spoken to several repair companies and many salespeople, and all seem to believe that if an appliance goes on fire you should never plug it back in. So Im off to buy another appliance. Dont think I will ever get anything from LG. Customer service was horrible. If youre looking at appliances, I would think twice on an LG product.

I purchased a $3000 LG fridge in April 2013 (less than 8 months ago). About a month ago, it started making a loud noise. I contacted Home Depot (where fridge was purchased) and they scheduled a tech to come look at it. He fixed it by defrosting a fan and setting the temp on my fridge higher. He warned to not have the fridge set too cold or the fan would keep freezing. Great, warm food. Less than a week later it broke down completely. We are now more than two weeks without a fridge. I have called every single day to try to get a tech out here and LG not only refuses to send someone out but cancels the techs scheduled by Home Depot. They have no time frame as to when they will allow someone to come out or when the fridge will be repaired. My five month old son has digestive issues and is on a special formula that has to be refrigerated. When I called LG to schedule repairs Bonnie from public relations told me I could ask my neighbor to store my son’s formula for me. Because I paid $3000 to use my neighbor’s fridge not to use my own fridge. The level of heartlessness LG and all their customer service reps show is beyond shameful and frankly Im shocked theyre still in business. Life is not good when Ive been storing my son’s formula in an ice chest for two weeks, feeding my other kids fast food every meal because we cant store any cold or frozen food at home, and LG has the attitude of we already have your money so now you can go F yourself. I will never ever buy an LG product again. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. No response yet from LG. Let me pretend to be surprised. At this point the fridge now stinks, is completely useless, and LG has no plans to repair or replace my fridge. Its under warranty and I had purchased the extra protection plan. Its completely unacceptable to allow a family to go without any fridge at all for two weeks and counting. Its unacceptable to know a special needs child could go hungry without his formula and NOT even send a tech out to look at it. Looks like I spent $3000 on a useless piece of crap.

I am another LG customer who is very disappointed to have rust around the bleach dispenser. I purchased this washing machine 4 years ago. I contacted LG customer services by email & got the following response back: The rust in your washing machine liquid bleach dispenser area is a result of the detergent or other additives being spilled that have not been wiped clean. Chlorine bleach is corrosive & will erode the finish if not cleaned immediately. If any spills should happen make sure to wipe it up immediately & the area cleaned with warm water & a soft cloth. Touch-up paint may be used to cover the area, if not service may be necessary. This is a bleach dispenser for petes sake & I dont spill bleach all over the area, just into the plastic opening where you are supposed to pour it. The rust has formed around & underneath the plastic cover, and I have cleaned the area on various occasions. I am not a happy camper having spent a lot of money purchasing a washer & dryer from LG. I thought I was going to get quality merchandise that would last for many years but unfortunately that is not the case. Very disappointed & wont be replacing any other kitchen appliances from this company.

I purchased this refrigerator at Home Depot in Stroudsburg, PA in October of 2011. Its a good thing I also purchased an extended warranty. This piece of junk stopped chilling several times. I have had several repairman but the same thing keeps happening. Now Home Depot sent me a check for $900.00 rather than replace the unit. What can I get for 900.00? A mini fridge? I hate LG and Home Depot.

I purchased my LG Waveforce washer from Sears (thankfully it was on sale). I have the same problem as the Shannon in LA. Takes forever to wash a load, from the error codes. This started from the beginning and I called LG and every time they came out it would not duplicate. Finally after months of this and many phone calls to LG, they actually replaced it. Same thing. I just gave up and have been dealing with this washer for about 4 years now, waiting till it completely dies and I can buy a new washer. I sure do miss my old Kenmore that had a ringer in the middle. That one got my clothes clean. There is never enough water to get the clothes really clean, if and when it finishes washing which takes double time because it stops and starts over. The only setting I use is the bulky/bedding one because it uses the most water. I can never leave the house once I start a load, because it would never finish. Thankfully its only me, dont wash much and I sit near it, so I can hear when it ** up. The clothes smell moldy after washing them, and the machine is always smelly after a wash. I hate this piece of crap.

I’d seen the LG refrigerator in the store and thought it was the perfect size. I also liked that the ice maker was in the door and not taking up space inside the refrigerator. So, I bought it. But it just stopped cooling and they sent out a tech about six times to fix it. They ordered all of the parts, repaired all of the parts, and it still wasn’t fixed. This issue has been going on for four months and now, they’re refunding me my check. I called yesterday checking on the status of it and they said it’s with claims. So I should receive my refund next week. All in all, I would not recommend this refrigerator.

I had an Electrolux washer for over 2 years & it was giving me problems like extreme vibration which makes the washer move. So I got an LG front load washer after reading the reviews. The washing was quiet soft. When it starts spinning dry, the motor roars like a 2-stroke motorcycle engine: really disappointed with our buy as we wanted to wash our clothes when we are sleeping. What a crap machine! Not recommended. Would rather get an Electrolux back. Korean SUCKS!

We bought the LG Dishwasher a few years ago, partly because it was considered one of the most quiet (the kitchen is open to the family room and the builder supplied dishwasher was so loud, it was impossible to do anything social during a wash cycle). But we also were sold on the purported quality and features. We got it and installed it. It was quiet as claimed. But it didn’t clean anything. Often, the soap dispenser wouldn’t open. It filled the inside with hardened calcified soap. We called LG, to no avail. They told us it must be our water pressure (we are on city water and the pressure is just fine). They also said that even though we had a warranty, that issue wasn’t covered and if they sent someone out and it was confirmed that the issue wasn’t warranted, we’d be charged $150 as a minimum visit. We already paid a lot for the appliance and didn’t want to get stuck with another bill. So we managed, mostly precleaning the dishes, washing them again when the soap didn’t dispense, and dealing with the calcified buildup in the inside. The drain hose leaked under the cabinet, and we were able to use drain hose tape to get by. Well finally, the water poured into our finished basement during a drain cycle late last night, right before we were all going to bed. We pulled the machine and found several leaks in the drain line. Thinking we could get a universal hose, we went to Home Depot where we originally bought it and discovered that we need to get the first part of the drain hose from LG and that could take weeks. That was it. We bought a Frigidaire Galaxy series for half the price and it arrives next week. We hope this will do what it’s supposed to do-wash dishes.

We purchased an top of the line all stainless steel LG Washer and Dryer from Home Depot in 2009 and from day 1 had nothing but trouble with both of them. The washer was constantly out of balance even though the washer had the true balance system, then the computer board went bad, then the door switch and drain pump quit. The dryer has never dried correctly, it always takes about double the normal time to thoroughly dry. It has cost me over $500.00 to keep them running for less than 5 years, LG should be in the junk business as they excel at it.

For the second time in 6 months, a drawstring from two different pairs of shorts was trapped in the door hinge while the dryer was running causing several pieces of clothing to get caught on the string and twist into a tight knot. Both times I found the dryer stopped and the door open. OK. But try to get the drawstring out of the hinge! I worked for 15 minutes both times. LG NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. There is nothing in their literature that says you may not put items with drawstrings in the dryer. I had a beautiful 1993 Maytag for 27 years and this NEVER happened.

I have a brand new refrigerator LRDC2603S delivered on 9/12/2020. The refrigerator did not cool to 37 degrees & remain hot at 45+ degrees. We changed the setting to 33 but the fridge temp was only able to cool to 44 degrees. After numerous phone calls & with technician repaired it 4 times, the fridge temperature is still too hot, over 42 degrees. I have bought a refrigerator thermometer to monitor the temperature.Every time calling LG, it takes at least an hour before somebody answered the phone. Most of the time, you cant get hold of anybody. I was totally flabbergasted when a customer rep asked me whether I had done my troubleshooting after I called back to report the fridge still not working properly after another repair service. The technician was very nice & professional. Its the customer service people that are supposed to provide services that I have problem with. They are either non-responsive or rude or give you the merry go round or totally incompetent. And they will forward my phone call to another dept & then the phone was dropped. Nobody really tried to resolve the issue and give us a solid answer. The issue is very clear. Fridge didnt cool to the set temperature. If you cant fix it, replace it. And when I told them of my food keep getting spoiled. Their typical answer is sending me a link to report it so I can claim. Fridge was delivered last Sept. Its been 8 months and somebody supposed to get back to me. I am still waiting. Its 8 months already.....

LG LRE6383ST Stove - Do not buy this unit. The oven part has a major design flaw and does not cook food properly. Anything that gets baked is cooked up top and raw in the middle. LG has sent out 2 technicians and both times could not find a problem with the unit but acknowledged that it was not cooking food properly. Obviously a design flaw. We have wasted hundreds of dollars on food. After 3 months of getting the run around including escalating the case at LG and making numerous calls we just decided to give up and purchase something else. This will be our last LG product purchase ever. Horrible customer service. Buyer beware.

I have raised a complaint on my recently bought LG washing machine direct drive on 24th December. LG service had come on 26th and said the panel has to be replaced and they have to get the panel from Cochin. Next day I called them due to lack of response and they said it has to arrive from Noida. Today we called and they said that part is no longer available. I trusted LG and purchased this product. Now I regret it. I suggest if LG has no commitment at making quality products then give me a temporary washing machine until the repair is over. I had a useless customer care experience. Only fake promises and nothing else. I have had same experiences with LG Refrigerator and Microwave oven which too have repair issues. I quit LG.

This is the second time the compressor has gone out and we can not get one of LGs service techs to get the parts needed and repair this. It should have been replaced months ago but the customer service department is useless. Do Not Buy This or any LG product. The aggravation alone is not worth it.

I have been trying to replace a broken shelf support in my 10 year old refrigerator. The part should cost about $20 and without it, the $2500 refrigerator can barely be used. I have found the part number and contacted everyone on the internet that claims to have one. One parts person told me that they had several in stock in past years but this was a high demand item and they could not get anymore. Universally I was told that the part is no longer available.I finally got through directly to LG customer service and (after being disconnected twice), was informed that LG does not make or keep parts past 7 years after a product was made. Nor did they have a substitute for it. They said I should call any local parts companies to see if they might have one lying around. I explained that no one has this in stock and asked to speak to a supervisor. The rep took my information and assured me that I would hear from a supervisor within 1 hour. That was two days ago. I have had a problem with a different (small) LG product in the past, but cannot believe how little they support their customer base. There is no way I could recommend to anyone that they should try this companys products.

I purchased a Kenmore Elite refrigerator Model # 795.77729700 in August 2007. It was made by LG. On February 2, the refrigerator stopped cooling; on February 3 a Sears Repairman diagnosed the problem as a bad control board which, unfortunately Sears no longer stocked. Was advised that Sears Parts would do a search. Next day advised that LG no longer had the mother board available. So I have a 7 year old refrigerator that has a defective control board (part number 6871jb1423g) that LG no longer stocks nor any other parts store in the USA (after a Google search). Sears has offered me a $500 discount (per my extended warranty) toward the purchase of a new refrigerator.LG has been no help at all. Terrible customer service. Why would any appliance manufacturer stop stocking a critical repair part after 7 years for an appliance that should last much longer? I can only suggest planned obsolescence. NO ONE SHOULD EVER BUY AN APPLIANCE MADE BY LG WITH THIS KIND OF POLICY ON PARTS. I was able to find a company that says they can repair the control board and have sent it to them to see if it can be fixed for $100.

They failed to show for the service appt, did not notify me via the text chain they CONFIRMED from, called from a FRAUDULENT NUMBER and then said THE CUSTOMER was unavailable? I called that day and rescheduled for 2 days later. They still did not show up. I called and they said they closed the claim because they NEVER HEARD FROM ME after the first appt???? Yes. they did (in fact their EXECUTIVE SUPPORT LINE HEARD FROM ME) and they told me my rescheduled day and time was today 8-12. At this point, they said it was going to be ANOTHER WEEK?! Why NO PRIORITY when THEY caused these delays?? Finally agreed to allow for and outside service provider to come out. I called him immediately and he was amazing. He was there within 30 min to assess the situation. Between him coming and 2 hours later, I got a NEW case number with a NEW service provider (which I didnt need or ask for) and they CANCELLED THE TICKET HE WAS WORKING FROM!!!! Now he cant order parts for me, and they expect me to sit home ALL DAY tomorrow to wait for another technician to come out?? I have never experienced a worse customer service situation in my life. I will never buy anything LG again and will definitely be spreading my story anywhere I can. Still no fridge, lost all of our food and no resolution or ounce of compassion from this company. Purchased an LG refrigerator from Best Buy 2 years ago. Refrigerator stopped working a week and a half ago. LG ran a diagnostic over the phone and determined the compressor went out. LG has a 10 year warranty on their compressors (along with the warranty we purchased) but refused to fix the refrigerator if we didnt pay $298 for a service call and compressor replacement. Despite our push back because of the warranty, LG stated thats how it works and continued to refuse service without up front payment. We regrettably paid the money last week. LG has since then given us the runaround. Customer service and customer resolution is awful. They offer no resolution and not only made it our responsibility to call repair companies from a list they gave us but lied to us twice telling us that each of the repairmen who showed up would have the compressor and fix our refrigerator. So now LG has our money and we are continuing to keep our daughters milk in an ice chest while we have a broken refrigerator. I cannot express in enough detail how horrible LGs customer service is. I am in total shock. Ive never dealt with a more incompetent company than LG. #neverpurchaseagain

Ive had this LG model LMV1683ST microwave under 2 years. I had my house remodeled by a contractor and spent $13,000 for new appliances. They choose LG for Refrigerator dishwasher stove and microwave. Then after 2 years later it suddenly started to making sparks and flames from one of the shelf hooks in the microwave started. If hadn’t been there in time, it had all the makings of a major catastrophe and burning down my home. I removed the metal shelf thinking that was the issue, but it was not. It happened again, and this time I unplugged the unit, and Im at the point of removing it from my wall and tossing in trash. When it comes to LG customer support or Technical support even executive services they’re useless. I’ve been trying now for weeks to get this resolved and get a replacement but as of yet there’s no resolution sight. I don’t trust this unit even if it’s repaired. Microwaves are not supposed suddenly burst into flames. I asked customer support if they would want this defective unit their home. Reply no. So then they’re saying it’s ok for a consumer to have it their home and risk harm to their family. As stated before. LG says their initials stand for Lifes Good. Should be Looking Grievous. Or LNG Life’s Not Good.

LG True Balance washing machine - We purchased this machine brand new and was told it was top of the line in terms of quality and capacity. It was also at the top end of pricing. We have been dissatisfied in every way. It takes hours to complete a wash cycle and the only chance you stand of getting through a wash cycle without machine stopping every 10 minutes and showing an error code is if you wash like items, ie only towels or only jeans... and then you still often times have to reposition at least once. Many times I cant get the load to finish and have had to remove and wring out by hand soaked and dripping items from machine. We have balanced it every way possible and done all recommended troubleshooting. Techs say just wash like items... not realistic to wash that many separate loads. Would love to hear if anyone has figured out how to fix this issue.

Purchased brand new suite of stainless steel Kitchen appliance in December
Purchased brand new suite of stainless steel Kitchen appliance in December 2013, including LG French Door refrigerator Model# LFX31925ST/06, Inverter Dishwasher and thankfully NOT an LG wall oven from HHGregg Electronics. While first I must say the salespersons selling these appliance were not very knowledgeable or helpful. For if they were, they NEVER should have recommended LG appliances. This is my first issue. Secondly, the appliances look great and flashy, but the craftsmanship is less than sub-par as experienced on both the refrigerator and the dishwasher (dish dirtier as I refer to it). Had one service call on dishwasher within 6 months of buying, but service never alleviated the actual problem: The dishes do not get clean at even the strongest settings, and it takes over 2 hours on the short cycle. Finally the refrigerator and most of these are all likely deficient, compressor fan freezing, severe loud noises, and drawers breaking in freezer with normal use. MY conclusion (as I will not go into the NIGHTMARE of getting it repaired because this is an ongoing problem that no repair can fix), a consumer RECALL needs to made on these, as many people who are out of warranty are stuck with a 2000-3500.00 refrigerator that is worthless. Also, a CLASS ACTION SUIT SHOULD initiated as there was one against SAMSUNG in 2010, and LG is firmly aware of all these issues. MY hope is that either the US Consumer Bureau or an independent law firm reviews this immediately. Also I thank all those who take the time to place this information online too. If only I had read this BEFORE I purchased units. However I see some of the most recent reviews deal the freezer compressor and the EXTREME headache (not to say loss of food) that this has caused many. Life is NOT GOOD for the buyers of these products, but I am sure IT IS for the stockholders or LG Corporation. MY goal now is to get the seller of these product to REPLACE THEM and not with LG products either.

We bought an LG freezer on the bottom french door refrigerator a couple of years ago. One year later, the computer board went out. It wasnt in the warranty. We had to pay for a new computer board. We had to spend a great deal of money for ice in the ice chest to keep things from spoiling. That went on for 3 weeks until the new board arrived. The LG stopped working again soon after. We had to buy a new one, this time, a Maytag. It was bought Oct. 28 and today, the freezer stopped working. Now it has started up again. Very strange. We had given our 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator to our daughter when we bought the LG and that old Whirlpool is still working like a charm. Thats because it has no computer board on the back! Why on earth do name brand companies compromise their name by manufacturing these inferior products now and use a computer board? They take no pride in their name. Their refrigerators are made in Korea, not the US, and are made to be disposable. Never mind the expense to the consumer. Can anyone tell me why there has to be computer boards to run a refrigerator? They are never reliable. I would love to bring a class action lawsuit to manufacturers of these appliances and computer boards, but dont know where to start. I am sure everything is made in Korea. Shame on all those manufacturers!

Stains remain, the clothes appear dingy, and after the load is complete, all the clothes are twisted together in knots. I have to separately untangle each piece in the load before placing in the dryer. No agitator in the top loader, insufficient water, spin speed ties clothes in knots. This refrigerator has been nothing but aggravation. We have had problems with the freezer fa, replaced several times. Ice forming inside the refrigerator left side, food freezing in the left crisper and continuous significant noise like a motor boat. This grinding subsides for a few days, then starts again. The latest problem caused the refrigerator to stop working completely. It has been almost three weeks and it is still not operational. Service is horrendous. Overnight parts do not arrive on time. Only one technician in the area. Parts needed are ordered one at a time, extending down time, rather than sent together to shorten repair time. The most frustrating issue is the difficulty of reaching anyone without being re-routed several times, then dropping the line after 45 minutes to one hour.

On top of that there is a Cancer warning sticker on the oven door for using this product. This concerns me as I am already a three time cancer survivor!!! I have a screen shot but not knowing how to upload the screen shot to this review. Im horribly afraid that this stove will catch fire if I use it, also, after reading the reviews and debating if to turn the circuit breaker off instead. On top of that reading the easy clean does not work and actually causes more issues. Im so unhappy about this.

I chose to buy it because it was a good price and the correct size and color, and also the LG refrigerator met my initial expectations. The LG refrigerator had basic features. For example, it kept my food very chilly, nice and cold but not too cold. Just right I would say. The only thing I dont like about really any refrigerator is that they dont have a self clean option.

The knobs were broken. Originally, I thought it was just my stove. I have since found out that this is an enormous problem for LG. I returned home over Thanksgiving to smell gas. My elderly mother had made some tea while I was at the store. She was visiting for the holiday and was unfamiliar with the stove. She thought she had turned it off, but because the knobs were spinning on the posts, the stove only appeared to be off. It was in fact filling the room with gas. While I was opening the windows, my mother was apologizing while rushing to the stove to turn it off in her embarrassment. Knowing what was about to happen, I lurched across the room and grabbed her hand before she reached the stove.Of course, if she had turned the knob at that time, it would have passed the ignition point and exploded the gas that was filling the room. Instead, I left the gas on at its lowest setting while opening all the doors and windows. 10 minutes later, when I aired the kitchen, I crouched down and turned off the stove. I wrote LG six weeks ago and they have not responded. I think many people would do what my mother nearly did and exploded their house. This product is deadly. It is just a matter of time before it kills people. LG needs to proactively seek out every stove with this defect and fix it or recall the product.

LG LFX21960 - We have had our LG French door water dispensing refrigerator
LG LFX21960 - We have had our LG French door water dispensing refrigerator for 5 years and what a waste of money it has been. The ice crisper drawers are cheaply made and fall off their track on a weekly basis. This problem began happening within a year of use. In the last year (so 4 years of use), our interior light bulb malfunctioned and melted its own plastic casing, our ice maker has broken and had to be replaced, and our water line (the one that runs the ice and water of the refrigerator) has sprung 2 separate pinhole leaks. Those leaks have caused water damage to our kitchen floor as well as the wall behind the refrigerator. All of the problems have been fixed at our expense. Not only that, we have had to use the LG service repairman to come out and fix our model. We have not been able to use our own repair service. I will never buy an LG product again!

LRFC22750ST - Bought new and 2 months later, the plastic tabs that hold French doors break so they have to replace both upper door assemblies because they dont sell the $2 part. Oops! The new doors dont match so now they have to order the bottom freezer door because they dont carry that style of door anymore. Sold fridge with house. Done? Nope! New house has same fridge, with broken tabs! Then the door switch fails and the lights stay on and cooks the food on the top shelf, slags the temp control unit and lens. Since you cant buy parts, I temporarily solved problem by replacing bulbs with LED ones (they dont generate much heat). Everyone Ive spoken to has similar issues as others here have listed. Bad business LG! Very short term thinking! You are creating an army of anti-LG activists.

We purchased our LG refrigerator 3 years ago and have had two problems with it. A year ago, the valve controlling the drinking water ceased working and it cost us over $200 for the repair from Freds Appliance in Madison, Ohio. A month ago, we noticed a mushroom type growth near the base of the refrigerator and discovered that the water line feeding the drinking water and icemaker had a slit in it and was spraying water on the floor. The flooring is ruined and the repairs, not including the fridge, exceed $1,300. Freds denies any responsibility with the problem even though they are the only ones that have moved the fridge since it was initially installed. In conclusion, the purchase of your product was a terrible mistake and we have difficulty understanding how a company can ignore problems like this.

I purchased a LG washer and dryer about 6 weeks ago and is now a huge regret. Whoever designed these appliances has never done laundry. The most frustrating W/D I have ever purchased with the stupid bells, whistles and lights. Most of the different programs are useless and not practical. Theres a thumping noise in the dryer when the drum is turning, not suppose to be there but as long as the drum is turning no one will consider it a problem, I will NEVER purchase another LG product again and I suggest you do the same.

My experience with LG is good, but since we bought our fridge, about two weeks later, the ice making part freezes. And then something happened where they had to come and change some part on the top of the box that was not making the ice. You press the button, and they wouldn’t come out. They had to change something right after not even a month after we bought. LG always are good because we have a washer and dryer LG. So, when I went to Costco and I saw the refrigerators over there, I liked the way they look. Also, theyre nice because the ice maker was on the door and not inside of the refrigerator. We needed a bigger space refrigerator. This is how I picked mine. I like the way how it’s designed in it. The freezer part of it is great. It has several layers. And the drink drawer is perfect. So, it’s very well-designed and made. I love it. I will recommend LG.

We bought a LG LDF7561ST dishwasher just over a year ago, started having issues with it not draining. Had the tech come out - said the hose was clogged, worked for one load. Second load did the same thing. He came out again. He said its the pump, replaced it when the part came in. Again worked for one load and second load wont drain. Then he replaced the control board still doing the same thing. Now he says he doesnt really know whats wrong so now hes blaming the problem on our plumbing in the house. My house is 12 years old, never a problem with anywhere else and the kitchen sink drains perfectly fine. Still not fixed, had a Maytag in there for 11 years and never a problem. This is a follow-up to a review written on January 22, 2013 regarding my LG washer. I did hear back from the resolutions department at LG who extended a prorated offer for my unrepairable washer. Whereas I feel the offer is fair, it is a year late in coming! The offer will allow me to purchase another machine. Trust me, it wont be another LG despite their good ratings on various websites. I am still out the hundreds of dollars in labor costs, plus the cost of having my clothes laundered at a local dry cleaners. As I said in my remarks on the 22nd, I do consider myself a pretty savvy shopper by checking both company and customer reviews. But this time was way off the mark. I hope and pray that my next choice in a washer, this time a front loader by Electrolux, is a wiser decision and that I wont be on a first name basis with my local repairman for a long, long time!

On June 28, 2020 I noticed my fridge was not keeping things cold. I called a refrigerator repair company and it turns out my compressor went bad. I have only had the fridge for 5 yrs and 3 months. I called LG customer service on June 29, 2020, and was told they would replace the part but wouldnt pay for the service. It is going to cost over $600 to have the compressor replaced. I did some additional research and it appears LG has a problem with defective compressors. In fact, there was a lawsuit filed against them for this very reason. I asked to speak to a manager about the repair cost and Vergie refused to transfer me to one. She also would not provide the name of the manager that said they would not cover the repair costs. Its not like I asked for a new fridge, I just want them to pay for a problem they know they have. This will be the last time I purchase a LG product!

I purchased a large LG French Door Refrigerator, with a 5 year warranty, in 2016. It worked fine until 2019, when the compressor failed and needed replacement. LG replaced the compressor, but the refrigerator broke down again the next month. It broke down 2 additional times to-date. During this time, my refrigerator (model LMX530776S) and approx. 50 other models, were identified as DEFECTIVE and covered by a Class Action Suit. At this point, I requested that LG replace my refrigerator. As stated above, the Customer Service Dept. became totally curt and unhelpful. They lied to me about the status of my claim and repeatedly declined to connect me to a manager. Once I received an email from the Problem Solution Dept., that I was later informed didn’t exist! LG dragged this out until my warranty expired and never fixed my fridge. I will NEVER Buy Another LG Product Again.

On November of 2011 I bought a top load LG washer, model WT5001CW. It worked great until a few months ago when the bleach dispenser area has begun to rot. It is so bad that the entire area where the bleach goes has come off the hinges and is just dangling off the base. When I contacted LG, I was told that the warranty did not cover cosmetic issues. When I asked to speak with a manager and explain that this more than a cosmetic issue, this is a manufactured defect! I was told that my case would be reviewed and they would get back with as soon as they made a decision. Two months later, I am yet to hear from them. I bought a LG washer model number WT507OCW from Lowes Jan 2014. A few days ago I tried to use it, pushed the power button, made a clicking noise and shut down. I called Lowes. They would not do anything so I called LG because the washer is still under warranty. After about an hour they set me up with a company in my area to fix it and told me to call them. I called and they refused to come out and repair the washer. I called LG back and told them what happened. LG said they will call me back within 3 days. On the 4th day without a call back, I called LG again. They tried to set me up with the same people who have already refused to repair the washer. When I told them that they again told me I would be called back in 3 days, I told them that was not acceptable and to replace the washer. LG has refused to honor the warranty. I ended up calling a repair service and paying for the repairs myself and LG refusing to reimburse me for the repairs. DO NOT BUY LG.

The top loading LG Smart Drive was purchased when we moved to a new home. We have had nothing but problems ever since. It becomes unbalanced frequently. When it becomes unbalanced, it adds more water in an attempt to swish the clothes to regain balance. Waste!!! This washer is unbalanced more than it is in balance. Sometimes it takes 2 days to wash a load of clothes. Ridiculous. In addition, I am never able to wash a small load - EVER. A small load in this machine is like a free ticket straight to unbalanced status. I bought an LG front-loading washing machine. Within 2 years, the cycle stopped repeatedly in the middle of a wash. An internal part had broken. I had to replace it at cost. The same replacement broke the next year. I replaced it at cost. That same replacement broke. Same story. I asked myself if it was part of LGs plan to make faulty parts so the consumer would have to pay every year to replace them. After 6 years, the programming motherboard broke (dont ask me what it is called -- it manages all the settings on the machine) completely broke down. The wash stopped repeatedly during a cycle so I had to restart again and again and a 30-minute wash would take 2 hours. Many times it never finishing the final spin. LG said the replacement part would be $150.BUT then they called back and said since the machine is 6 years old, they wont supply the part anymore. They wanted me to buy a new washing machine after 6 years! I told them I would never buy another LG product. Instead I found the part from a third party supplier, and I hope my machine will last another 10 years so I dont have to spend on a completely new machine. My advice: NEVER BUY from LG unless you plan to replace parts every year and replace your entire expensive appliance every 5-6 years. Since they stop supplying parts, you will need a new machine.

I bought an LG dishwasher based on the positive reviews, however, 18 months in, it quit and the faulty part is not covered under any warranty. So my $700 dishwasher (got it on sale so that was good) is now a $1200 dishwasher. Its large and cool, but in my opinion not worth $1200. LG knows this part fails, the repair tech showed us how the panel fails due to the heat and moisture that gets in it, and the replacement part has an epoxy coating that keeps it from doing that. But instead of recalling and replacing the part they KNOW will fail, they make you get the repair BY A LICENSED LG REPAIR PERSON ONLY, and pay for it. Pretty shoddy workmanship and poor customer service. We will NEVER buy ANY LG product again.

Already happened three times. Lots of food lost. I will never purchase an LG product again. The evaporator (the thingy with lots of coils and fins, which is responsible for transferring the coldness from the compressed gas to the surrounding air inside the fridge/freezer) ices up. The evaporator defrost heater is working, yet it does not defrost all the ice, allowing for lots of ice buildup. Apparently LG has issue with the timer controlling the defrost cycle. But the bottom line is that when ice builds up on the evaporator fins, no cooling can be done and the food spoils. To fix the issue you have to take the entire fridge (shelves rails, drawers) and freezer (door, rails, ice maker) apart to gain access to the back covers, remove the back covers and manually defrost using a hair drier to remove all the ice build up. I am now an expert in doing this, and it only takes about half a day. But all the food is already spoiled since there is no warning that the fridge and/or freezer stopped working. :-(Apparently this is a common issue with LG, not only this specific model. Other people also have issues with the drain tube freezing up (the drain tube is supposed to drain the water which the evaporator defrost heater thaws. This cause water to overflow and build at bottom of fridge and/or freezer and leak onto the floor, damaging the floor. Some people jury rigged an copper wire extension from the defrost heater into the drain hole to transfer heat from the heater into the drain hole. LG is aware of these issues and has done nothing to address them.Three recommendations for LG: 1- Engineer a better way to detect that there is ice building up and/or make sure that the defrosting cycle is long and/or frequent enough to defrost the evaporator coils and fins. 2- Have an ALARM whenever the temp inside the fridge and/or the freezer is above the set temperature, to warn against spoiling food.3- LG should engineer something to ensure that the drain holed does not ice up. (a heat transfer copper wire as above or a separate heating element around the drain tube).Even if they do listen, I will never purchase an LG product again. -Avi

LG WM3360HWCA - After about 2 years the washer sounds like a Concorde taking off on spin cycle. You cannot be in the same room as the noise is so bad. Called LG and of course theres no one here on the island (live in Hawaii) to come and service it. They gave me the contact number for a company that does repairs. Unfortunately after a week of calling them and no return calls I ended up having Sears come out. He spun the drum in the machine all for $105 and then stated that the repairs would be $1100 as the bearings had gone out. I paid $700 for this washer. How can the repairs cost more? The Sears service rep said that I was over using the machine. I explained that I only fill up to the minimum line on the guide inside. He stated that in Hawaii the water is soft and that we are supposed to use half the recommendation that is on the bottle. I have never heard this before. So now out-of-pocket and have to go and buy a brand-new washer. LG the good life my ass.
