The knobs were cracked and broken and we were unable to turn the gas all the way off. The repairman said he smelled gas when he entered my house. He ordered three new knobs. I then called LG at 800-243-0000 and told them that I had just read all the complaints about the range knobs, and how upset I am to learn that LG was doing nothing about the problem. I was then told that LG has a new replacement knob that they will send me free of charge. Five new knobs. No charge. I then asked why they were not notifying their consumers. No answer. I hope this will help someone else.

Fairly new front loader, LG wm2801hwa, opened its door mid-cycle. I had a flooded kitchen and laundry room. When it was discovered, the machine was observed to continuously flooding water out of its (then open) front door. The water valves had to be closed and the machine had to be unplugged. LG was contacted directly and a service man was sent out. The D.G. Appliance representative indicated that the machine had an assortment of problems, including the main controller. The machine even flooded the kitchen and laundry room again, as the payment for the service call was being processed, for he left the valves on after his inspection.I consider this machine new since it was purchesed about a year and a half ago. I expected LG to step up to the plate here and provide a reasonable response. The door on a front loader should never open like that. Much property damage was avoided only by luck in discovering the flood in time, and diverting the water away from wood and carpeted areas. I followed up with D.G. later that afternoon and learned that they didnt bother reporting the problem to LG. I called LG (again) and found no relief, since the machine was out of warranty.

Puchased LG Washer (top loader) in May 2018, had it delivered & set up, and got NO instruction on how to use the item. It tears rugs, uses too little water, wastes water, does not clean clothes, and I am told to not wash heavy items, then again not to wash light items. No response from LG even after unknowledgeable repair visit, and Home Depot (Seller) will not return calls. Worst washer on the marked, for sure.

We have a 4 year old side by side LG refrigerator. Ever since last year the right side of the ice cube department completely freezes up and it makes it impossible to distribute cubes down tray. We change our filters every 6 months. For days we have put microwave hot rags down the right side of the cube holder to soften the cube holder so that we are able to move the tray holder out. This is very frustrating because we host a lot of parties and have to buy ice. The refrigerator is 41 degrees and the freezer is -2. Please help.

I initially didnt buy an LG. I won my first one at a Christmas party raffle. I took it home that night and enjoyed it for about four years and I had to sell it because of the size of my household was expanding. But we really dont have any negative effects with this brand. The refrigerator was a gem to own. Never had any problems with it not doing its job. Would buy another one without any hesitation. Always keep my food at a constant temperature. And keep my vegetables in the crisper crisp a little longer. The only problem I ever had was that it wasnt right for me in the realm of space. I would like to see a little bit more space in the freezer compartment. And towards the end of my ownership of the product it was making a little more noise from the compressor than usual.

My boyfriend and I ordered a LG fridge online on June 25th for $1804.13. It was to be delivered on June 30th. My boyfriend left work to meet LG at our house. Two men took the fridge off the truck and out of the box and the back was damaged all smashed. My boyfriend told them we did not want that one and they took it back. LG never contacted us to when a new one would be delivered. I called them (on hold too long) and they told me they could not get another one here until July 11th. I couldnt believe it, I asked why so long and LG said that is the next date a truck could get to my location. I thought since it was their mistake maybe they should go a little out of their way for a customer, but no, there was nothing they could or would do. So 12 days without a fridge. We had to use a cooler just for water, milk and half for our coffee, buying ice constantly. We went out to eat a lot, which is really expensive. It was a nightmare! I called LG again and complained to a Manager/Supervisor and had to go through about an hour on the phone explaining the story over and over until I finally could get them to connect me with a supervisor and he was not very helpful but he finally said once the fridge was delivered LG would send me a check for $100.00 for my troubles, but I had to call back once the fridge was delivered. I asked why I had to wait and he stated that is their policy. I think they want you to forget about it once you get your new fridge. Well I didnt. I called back and asked for the same Supervisor, I did write down his name, Jerold. After being on hold again and explaining my story again to 2 different employees, I finally talk to Jerold and he said they will send me a check in the mail. Now it is Sept 6th and no check came in the mail.I called back LG asked to speak to Jerome, they couldnt get me Jerome, said they have a lot of Supervisors located all over and I would have to speak to whoever picked up my call. I was on hold for 20 minutes. A woman answered. I asked if she was a Supervisor, she said yes then she asked me for my phone # and put me back on hold for 5 min. She came back on the phone and said she didnt see my order. I then told her the whole situation and said maybe she should have asked me what the issue was before she put me on hold so quickly. She told me that there was no Jerome that worked there. I said it was the same # that I previously called, twice. Then I told her that the order was under my boyfriends phone # and I have the order # and the model # and sku #. She wasnt really listening, but looked up my boyfriends # and asked for the model # and said she saw no order for us.I couldnt believe it. The new fridge is in our kitchen that they delivered. I yelled at her, I just couldnt get over the way they treat customers. So I went on the computer and had a live chat on their website. The woman on the computer found the order under my boyfriends phone #. Maybe they should find a better way to keep track of orders (maybe by the order #) but she said that she had spoke to the woman, Supervisor, that I just got off the phone with and there is nothing they could do for me. Then said that they do not have a Jerome that works there and they do not give back any type of reimbursement or refund for bad service or unhappy customers. It is not their policy. I guess it not their policy to keep customers happy. It was their fault I went without a fridge for as long as I did. It was their fault I had to spend a lot more than I should have on food for two weeks, after giving them One Thousand Eight Hundred dollars.I think LG Supervisors do it on purpose, tell you to call back once the fridge is delivered, wait for a check in the mail, all tactics to make you give up. Well I didnt give up and it got me nowhere. LG also tried to say it was a Home Depot issue. Well Home Depot connected me to them, and why did a Supervisor from LG, Jerome, say he would send a check in the mail. I called Home Depot and they said they wouldnt do that, they would have reimbursed some of our payment. I have never been this angry but we spent a lot of money and hassle over this, and it is not over $100.00. It is about the way I was treated.

From the very beginning, the freezer door pops open slightly when the fridge door is closed. It isnt always noticed until water puddles up on the floor. The hose to the ice maker has been fixed 7 or 8 times because it keeps splitting. The ice maker jams up and wont release the ice. Today, I woke up to water all over the floor. There was no power to the whole unit. I checked the outlet and there was power. I cant get a hold of a repairman.

This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Wee
This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Weekend in 2015, we were rushed to replace it --- and have regretted that ever since. We purchased an LG French door fridge at a major retailer, with just the one day to do research (because, our old one had died and wed already lost a couple hundred dollars in perishable food and had kids to feed). The linear compressor promised to be quiet, efficient, and durable - the literature boasts that an officially proven 20-year-durable lifespan realizes your peace-of-mind.At first, it was great - because it was new. Just ten months in, however, we began having problems as the fridge developed a clicking sound when the fan (compressor?) kicked on, and then a couple weeks later got an error code on the panel and the fridge stopped cooling. We lost another fridge full of groceries, and called LG for repair. It was well under warranty, being just one year old.The technician they dispatched called us before showing up, and told us this is a common problem - and that we have to defrost our frost-less new fridge when we hear that clicking because it means ice is building up inside on the fan. OK... So we did that, and the fridge began working again (this is in May/June 2016). Then, like clockwork yearly, we would hear the clicking and do the overnight defrost (2017, and 2018).So again it began clicking again in early July 2019, and we got ready to do the same thing - except instead, the fridge just quit working entirely on July 9th 2019 while we were at work and we came home to a flooded kitchen (from the melted ice) and once again, had to toss a fridge full of perishable foods (second time with this fridge). We unplugged it and left it overnight to defrost, as before, and plugged it back in on the 10th (empty). Left it for the day while at work, and when we came home the inside of the fridge was over 70*, clearly not cooling, but no errors on the panel, so I called LG for service on July 11th. This begins the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any manufacturer.July 11th: talked to condescending service rep who eventually agreed that we needed a service call. Scheduled it for July 16th (earliest available), and gave me a confirmation number which I read back. I arranged to take a half-day off work to be home for the 8-12 hour window. He says that luckily Im still within the 5-year warranty; I tell him my paperwork says it is 7 years warranty. He updates my account... Then assures me that the parts are covered under the warranty and I will only have to pay the labor for the service call.July 16th: at 11am, I called LG to check the ETA of the tech so I could update my office on when I would be in. Was told that my tech had just finished a call in a town 15 minutes from me, and that I was next on his list. At 12:15 still no tech, so I called back --- and was told that my service was completed. Spent quite a bit of time on the phone to learn that the confirmation number I was given was for someone else, and that I had no service call scheduled after all. I was quite angry, as Id stayed home for this and had been without a fridge for a week already. The person I spoke to said she was in the escalation department and she promised to call me within an hour with a resolution to get my fridge fixed, that her supervisors assured her it would be done that day.At 1:40 I called back (because, surprise - no call from LG and no tech) even angrier because I was no closer to a working fridge AND now Id lost a full day of work without pay. Im not allowed to talk to the same person I spoke to at 12:15, because she is helping other customers... Am told there is no way they can fix my fridge today but they will dispatch my call to an authorized service repair center, who would schedule a new service date. An hour later I get a call from said service repair center ---- who informed me that they dont service my area because they are in a different STATE. Yep, that last LG rep sent to the wrong repair center. So I call LG again (4th time this day), and this time Im told that I have to wait for the system to call me to schedule something, but that would be either today or tomorrow. Its 3:30 at this point. The rep cant help any further. Next day, by 4pm, still no call so I phone LG again. This rep tells me it can take 3-5 days for the system to call me to schedule something.... Each time I call, Im given a different scenario, none of which are getting my fridge fixed. The next day (July 18th), I get an email cancelling my appointment - which I havent been able to make so I dont know what this is for. July 19th: I call again because still nothing and its been ten days since my fridge broke. This rep is able to schedule a service call (what happened to the system??), and we set it for July 24th, next available day.July 23rd: given the absurd hassle Ive had to deal with to get this fridge fixed, I call in to confirm my appointment for the next day because I cant lose yet another day from work and have no tech show up. Am told parts were ordered on the 19th (which parts? the ones that always break, that fancy compressor that is supposed to be so great and durable but only lasted four years). This time the rep tells me that they have extended a courtesy warranty to cover the labor in addition to the parts, and that they received a couple of complaints. I have talked to 8 different LG customer service reps by this time, expressing many complaints from me on this whole fiasco, especially against that first rep who didnt bother to schedule a tech at all and cost me a days wages. The rep also said a grocery reimbursement would be sent in a couple of weeks for the inconvenience. This is the first Ive heard about this option.July 24th: my fridge is finally fixed, with a new compressor. The tech did not charge us for the visit, so at least that part LG honored. Fifteen days to get the fridge fixed, replacing a part that was the big selling point, four years and two months after we bought it. We lost tons of perishable food from the fridge and freezer (it holds a lot!), and two full days of work without pay. For two weeks weve had to eat out/eat convenience food because a picnic cooler just doesnt work that well to hold perishable foods that long, and its the middle of summer; it is an expensive way to eat! Now we wait for whatever grocery reimbursement they deem sufficient to compensate us, and count the days until the fridge breaks again, hoping it is still under warranty when it does. I dont trust this fridge at all. But we paid $3k for it, and cant afford to replace it yet. The environmental impact of manufacturers building appliances that fail after just a few years has got to be enormous and I wish there were lemon law type of things we consumers could count on for better durability.

My wife and I bought an LG refrigerator from Future Shop/Best Buy in 2012. Within 15 months the frame which holds the drawers in the bottom of the fridge cracked and broke. My wife and I are in our 50s and the only ones who use the fridge. It also freezes our vegetables and the temperature settings dont work well at all. Either the fridge is too warm or too cold. Today was the last straw when I noticed that the freezer trays are showing signs of rust. The design (bottom freezer drawer) is also a very inefficient and dumb design. We will never buy another LG product and certainly would not recommend them either. All they do is look fancy.

We purchased our LG side-by-side white refrigerator Model # LSC27931SW in 2009 from the Home Depot with the 4-year warranty. The edge area directly under the plastic water dispenser shelf on the front of the refrigerator is rusting. This sticks out like a sore thumb! We called Home Depot and were advised to call LG because cosmetic things werent covered under the 4-year warranty. We called LG and they said we had to take pictures and fill out a form, which they emailed to us. We couldnt upload the pictures so we will call LG to see if we can fax them instead. I dont know the quality of the electrostatic painting they use but its awful. I dont expect anything to be rectified from them. We purchased this refrigerator from Home Depot in April of 2016. One year in, we started to hear a loud rattling sound. The repairman said it was build up of ice around the fan. Fan had to be replaced and fridge defrosted and told me to keep all the seals maintained with vaseline to keep it from happening again. Now, another year later, the unit has stopped cooling. All the food in the freezer had defrosted and fridge was warm. LGs website listed two service companies in our area. First one doesnt do fridges anymore. Second one had terrible reviews so I didnt call them. Had the same repairman come out that did the fan and he says the compressor has failed. This really needs to be a class action suit against LG... So many people have the same issues and we paid close to $4000 for this refrigerator.

Our 9 month old LG French Door Refrigerator has had a horrible vibrating sound almost from the day we bought it. As a final measure before throwing it out, I took the lower rear cover off the compressor area. The compressor is vibrating very loudly, to the point of complete annoyance. I placed a small piece of 1 thick hard rubber flooring wedged above the compressor... this appears to have temporarily stopped the vibration (as has a number of other attempts to stop it including turning off the ice maker, removing the ice tray, taking jars off the inside refrigerator door, checking the level of the refrigerator, and cleaning the dust off the coils). Call goes out to LG to come get it tomorrow.

We purchased a new LG refrigerator when we purchased our home in 2017. We had renovations going on and our right hand door was damaged/dented by a contractor. The contractor offered to replace the door so I contacted an LG recommend appliance parts and service place to replace the door. A week later they returned with a substitute that did not work so they said they would be back a couple of weeks when the correct door came in, that was October 2018 and I have been waiting ever since. All my phone calls to the appliance repair people end with them saying it still has not come in, it’s on backorder. At one point I called LG who confirmed the door is on backorder! Seriously it has been almost a year. Of course I had to pay the appliance repair person for the house call even though I told them the door needed to be replaced due to dents but they said that money would go towards the new door. At this point I am not sure I am going to get a new door. Had I realized we would receive such poor customer service I never would have gone with LG, we also purchased a 65” LG TV, and washer and dryer. I hope LG will help us with our dilemma.

Last week (4th problem), a repairman recommended to not waste our money to fix the bearings because the next problem will be the control electrical panel - $200 parts, $75.00 labor and need to wait 2 weeks for the parts. LDG4313ST Gas Range - Since buying this range in December we have had 3 major problems. 1. Finish on bottom panel peeling off. 2. Convection oven making a loud noise, spewing soot, and setting off our carbon monoxide alarm. 3. Oven temperature varies hugely. I contacted LG the first time letting them know I read the owners manual I was given and saw nothing about foil placed on the bottom to catch drips. I make an apple pie during the holidays and for years I have always put foil on the bottom of whatever range I was using to catch the drips. Never had a problem before. Got a form letter saying that though placing foil on the bottom was a common practice that in THEIR ranges you could not. I further investigated their manual and found something in troubleshooting about it. By then, it was too late. The form letter gave no information about how to get a replacement panel. Poor customer service number one.The first time I tried to use the convection oven it smelled weird and then set off the carbon monoxide detector. I found soot on the front glass door. I entered another complaint. This time they sent out a service person. He called them and turns out this is a known problem. The oxygen/gas mix is too rich. So we have been waiting for over a month for the mod. I call appliance company. They say its back ordered with no known date for coming in. I also have them order the base panel. They got the part number. 50 bucks. Irked me, but figured at that point it wasnt that much, I would pay for it.After a long 40 minutes on hold to get to customer service at LG I was first told the mod was back ordered. Then I was told that it was the base plate that was back ordered and they could get the mod part within 3 or 4 days. I said, Fine, fix the dang convection oven so I can use it. Even though there are only 2 screws to install, they say base plate must be put in by a tech. They confirm they wont pay for it, even though we have been waiting a month to even get any news about parts.THEN, this weekend I attempted to bake a cake. I have noticed some issues with cookies, but managed. The cake rose as it should in the middle and then fell by the time I looked again. I checked the temperature and according to the panel, (I shut off and then turned back on to see what temp it thought it was) it was down to 250 when I had it set at 350!!! What the heck!!! I then checked the complaints on LG stoves and many people have problems with widely varying temperatures. LG has refused to allow techs to replace the control boards saying this is how they operate!!! They have come up with lots of excuses with customers. At this point, I have no intention of calling them back. I am copying all the complaints about their ranges and going to see if I can get Home Depot to take it back. Its a piece of junk. If they wont take it back, then I will start with LG. I want a refund. I do NOT want another stove from them. I will never again buy another LG product. They have awful customer service and dont seem to give a crap about the fact their products dont perform as they should. One positive note. The melting knob problem is fixed on this model. Only if the ranges worked.

We purchased new from Conns December 2011. After 2 years we noticed the painted rim around the bleach dispenser starting to blister, peel and rust. Now after 3 1/2 years, its progressed significantly and also rusting around the top rim of the tub itself. ITS RUINING MY CLOTHES AND LINENS! After cleaning the tub tonight, I ran a wash clothes under the tub rim and wipe a massive amount of rust. If LG is not going to stand by their product, DONT BUY! We will never again!

We purchased our refrigerator in Dec 2018, and it decided to quit on us this week; suspect it is the compressor. We called LG 2 days ago and finally got a return call from the repair company stating they can’t get to us until June 1st. LG only has 1 company in the entire area of Phoenix that does the repairs. How insane is that!So now, all of the freezer and fridge food we purchased to hold us off during this stay at home crisis is spoiling and thawing - into the garbage it goes. LG’s solution is to give us a $200 allowance to buy a mini fridge until the repair can be made. What’s up with that? That won’t cover the dollar amount for the food we have in the fridge/freezer and the mini fridge certainly won’t be able to store all that we have in the fridge/freezer. Then we’ll have the hassle of getting rid of a mini fridge after the refrigerator is fixed. There is a class action lawsuit. I guess LG figures what’s the point of fixing fridges quickly or compensating folks for spoiled food when they’ll just have to pay out later...probably less to the consumers, right? **

This dishwasher was the first LG appliance I ever purchased. I've had it for many years and it's still running great. It has wonderful features like "delicate" cycle (for China) and adjustable racks - both for height and for items you might have to put into them. Even the flatware basket is well designed.

The LG side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water dispenser is only three years old, but major rust has developed on the door beneath the ice and water dispenser insert. The control panel has had to be replaced once. The ice bucket freezes up regularly and so the ice dispenser wont work (it has been replaced twice) and the ice cover has broken and been replaced. The extended warranty from Sears wont cover the rusting problem and LG refuses to do anything saying that the rust is considered cosmetic. We bought this unit because of its large capacity. However, with multiple repairs under the warranty and the rust, we regret the decision.

I have had this washer for about a year and it has annoyed me since I first used it. I started getting the ue error within the first week of use. I went back and read the owners manual to learn how to load this machine. I started being extremely careful in the way I load it and I would only receive the error occasionally (cant wash a mixed of heavy and light weight items-really? I dont know anyone who doesnt wash their hand towels with their bath towels), but now I receive it with every load I run. My husband washed three loads of laundry this past weekend and he also received the ue error. He said it is a piece of junk! I paid a lot of money for this machine and I am ready to throw it out the window! I am done purchasing LG products. On a side note. I am 54, not tall by any means, but I have always been able to reach the bottom of the tub in a washer. I literally have to stand on a stool to remove all of the clothes from this machine. Bad design.

I have purchased an LG washer dryer model FH4U1JBH2N for £839.00, and I have received the appliance with a manufacturer defect. The washer dryer does not have the right control panel (no Drying option available on screen). No other option was offered apart from keeping the washer dryer and sending a technician to fix the defect. Imagine you purchase a cabrio car after checking the photos, the store and reviews. But you receive a regular family car... the manufacturer states that they can only come to you and cut the car open to transform it into a cabrio. In other word, you purchase a new machine, and it comes with a defect, and the manufacturer are not dependable for not meeting the specifications. What sort of company is LG? Would you like to do business with a company that does not care of the consumer/customer? Feels like, that what they see are just numbers... making profit out of people who trust a brand. DO NOT PURCHASE AN LG PRODUCT unless you want to face poor customer care, poor after sales care, poor manners over the phone, poor quality of the product and most importantly 0 dependability. I had the washer-fake-dryer since the end of August 2016 and its useless as it does not do the job I purchased it for. The retailer does not want to recollect the product as they state it is LG which has to approve the recollection. LG states it is not their issue.

I purchased my LG refrigerator in 2013, 4 1/2 years later the compressor goes out. With the 10 year warranty still on it, I contacted LG. Dealing with their customer service department was a nightmare. To begin with, they had no service technicians in my area, then they give me three authorized service companies to call, all were either wrong numbers or they dont work on LG appliances anymore. LG had service technicians but had none a available. So whats the purpose of a warranty if you cant honor it?As Im searching the internet to read complaints on LG, I came across a site indicating a class action lawsuit against LG for their faulty linear compressors posted last month, so I searched more and learned there was a previous lawsuit. LG is aware of their faulty compressors yet they have no desire to help consumers get repairs. What am I suppose to do other than join in on this new class action lawsuit, which could take years. I had to toss out over $300 worth of food, purchase a mini fridge and deal with ice chests. And still without a fridge. I cant afford to purchase another frig right now. I will NEVER purchase another LG anything, phone, TV, refrigerator, washer dryer nothing with a LG logo. Their warranty is a joke as well as their customer service.

We bought the LG appliance bundle of an oven/range, refrig, microwave and dishwasher and we also bought the front loading washer and dryer. This was one GIANT mistake and I regret buying from LG. Our ice maker was manufactured incorrectly and as a result we had 5 diff repairmen sent out with no solution. Our refrigerator should have been replaced but LG delayed the services and repairs putting us outside of the warranty date. Now our oven went out in less than 5 years and it has to be replaced. I went back through my LG file and remembered all of the problems with trying to get my rebates and that I had to spend more time trying to get it than it was worth. I have since learned that others have issues with their LG refrig and now I am learning about oven issues. Overall, I have learned to never buy LG. I was a believer but have since changed and advise others to avoid LG.

I have an LG model LMXC23746D. Not only is the black peeling (happens on the whole suite) but the refrigerator stopped cooling. Noticed water on the door where the icemaker resides. Checked the freezer and food was thawing. Fridge wasnt cold either. LG took my info, scheduled an appointment for repair and it was fixed on March 4th. Here we are not even two months in, and its broken again. Same symptoms. LG set an appointment 2 weeks from now to send someone out. I have food that was spoiled, and now have to live out of a cooler until they arrive to fix it again. So are the replacement parts as bad as the original? Not only do the Black Stainless appliances peel and look horrid, but the appliance doesnt function. How many times will I have to go through this? Ill have to spend another $1-3 thousand for a replacement. Not happy.

The washer keeps tripping GFI which indicates a current leakage problem, that is, a DESIGN PROBLEM. Local techs and LG keep writing this up as an electrical breaker tripping which is a problem of shorting out, or over-amping, not current leakage. GFI breakers are required by electrical code in areas where water is present. The local techs and LG want to solve this problem by removing the GFI, thus violating electrical code in order to make their product work. Current leakage design problems dont improve, they get worse over time, further endangering customer safety.

I purchased an LG refrigerator on June 4, 2019. LG delivered the refrigerator a few weeks later and unfortunately, it was severely damaged when it arrived at my residence. The delivery company returned the damaged unit and delivered another refrigerator a week later. The 2nd refrigerators left door contained the water and ice dispenser of which neither worked. I spoke with LG customer service and they indicated that a local repair company would come out and assess the issue. National Platinum Services was the local company and it took them two weeks to show up and when they did, they were not able to diagnose the problem. There has been no follow up since they left so currently I am still waiting on how this situation is going to be resolved. Bottom line is that LG doesnt seem to value good customer service so in the future I will look elsewhere when shopping for any product that they may market to the public.

The temperature was still keeping it cool, but it wasnt working. Another problem I had was the submission. So, when I was talking to my warranty people, they said, No. Theyre supposed to cover it. But after back and forth for like two weeks I finally spoke to somebody that know what they were doing and then, they got the parts sent out. That contractor repaired it, and he left me his number in case I had any issues. But when I need ice, my refrigerator doesnt make enough ice for me. I was unhappy that it broke down. The guy was clueless...had to read the paperwork AND call the technical support phone number. He complained about LG being cheap and not paying for multiple visits to repair an appliance! Their technician said he was the only one for the area. Told me the range was functioning. I turned on the broiler several hours later and heard a strange humming noise followed by a loud bang. Range/broiler/oven light dont work at all.Repair technician said it would take a week to receive a new circuit board which I found online for 50 dollars and could have it expedited. Two weeks later no phone call, no oven/broiler/no holiday dinner during Easter/added costs of eating out! Wouldnt you think LG would offer something...hell no they put me on hold when I called them. Our $3,500+ super capacity LG refrigerator stopped cooling at the 6 year mark. Several repair attempts have been made in the past month under warranty and at least $2100 in food has spoiled. Weve also spent $370 on floor repairs from water damage leaking from the fridge after the second repair attempt. My fiance and I have been tirelessly working the frontlines 6-7 days a week taking direct care of critically ill COVID patients at hospitals with little time to grocery shop (or sleep) since this pandemic started. For a month now, my family has been eating from our hospitals vending machines or relying on fast food delivery service which has drained our accounts. LGs policy states a maximum of $300 food reimbursement and if our unit is deemed unrepairable even under warranty, we have no option but to pay for junk hauling. After purchasing several high end appliances from LG, this is a huge slap in our faces.

We have received nothing but the runaround. 1 certified repair place did a COVID diagnosis by phone & confirmed that it was the compressor, but said they would not come out until I had approval codes directly from LG. Jumped thru lots of good including uploading receipts to prove purchase date, amount paid, etc. Waited 12 days for the only repair service for warranty work & the guy showed up in my home with my elderly Mother & my Grandson with no mask or gloves for COVID precautions & did diagnosis only to confirm what our approval codes said. But, he doesnt travel with parts. Ordered them expedited to ship to our house & he said to call 800# if they came in early as first open appointment was another 11 days away. They came the next day, but when I called they said I had earliest time already. 2 days before the appointment, I got a text notifying me that I had a new appointment on 6/3 instead of 5/16. We did a complete kitchen makeover and chose top end appliances, or at least so we thought! The LG refrigerator is the absolute worst appliance we have ever bought. From day one there were issues and LGs customer service is non existent! Has never made ice on a regular basis, now doesnt make ice at all. The plastic drawers are all broke and duct taped so that we can still use them. Most importantly the lighting has not worked correctly since the day we first plugged it in. Some times they work, most times they dont. At one point we smelled smoke and opened the frig to find the plastic cover on the top mounted lights had completely melted off. Luckily our home did not burn! At this time our top end LG refrigerator does not make ice, has no lighting (we use a flash light to find what we need), the bottom freezer works when it wants to and our drawers are all duct taped so that we can use them. WARNING: THE LIGHTING ISSUE COULD COST YOU YOUR HOME! DO NOT BUY A LG REFRIGERATOR!!!!

We did have a washer and dryer that was LG, and we had a good experience with those. The refrigerator came with a counter depth feature. We had an awkward space we had to fit it into and I liked that it fit there and I havent had to worry about it. I had to make two warranty claims and both times, it was pretty easy to go through that process. I appreciated the service people that came and worked on the appliances cause they were professional and did a good job. I also didnt have to wait a super long time for somebody to come and help out. I would recommend LG.

I liked the LG brand initially and the refrigerator was on sale. Adjustable temperatures for desired food storage. Roomy storage and easy to disassemble to clean. Lower power usage for reduced electricity bill. But the lifespan of the refrigerator is not as long as desired. It did not meet my expectations as my older refrigerator outlasted this one by about 20 years.

The Washing Machine actually adds minutes and takes forever. We are careful to balance the clothes and only fill half-way and this damn error code keeps flashing. The machine stops and fills with water. Service people are useless. We just bought this machine a few months ago. Now my wife and I have no choice but to do our laundry at a Laundromat. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE. It is a piece of crap.

My brother bought my mother a state-of-the-art LG washer. It is supposed to wash and dry all in one. At first, it worked good. However the drying failed and LG sent out a repair man. They told my mother that it was her fault that the machine was not working (pilot error) wrong! I tested it myself. I spent hours one night doing every combination the book asked and followed the repairmans advice as asked. It did not dry properly. I cleaned the traps and drain the water from the drain hole. My mother has had clothes all over the bathroom to dry her things. She has had LG get repair for the same problem over and over. This time it burst some sort of air line and made a screaming vent of air. I happen to have been visiting her when it happened. The repair man could find nothing wrong other than it not drying. Mom talks my ear off over the matter and all she wants is to wash and dry. She is running back and forth to the laundromat. She is 72 and should not have to have this type of problem. I know she will not run it now. The machine had scared her on the air whatever. The machine is still under warranty but all they do is try to rip her off. One service sent by LG wanted $65 to even touch something not covered. She asked if he could fix the garbage disposal and he did, and charged her $95. I was smoking hot when I heard. One he was there to fix the LG, but took her for 95 dollars for a clogged disposal. I am 300 miles away and all that keeps happening is I talk to the damn repairman via phone. Anybody have any idea on what I can do? The machine was over $1200 and it only washes a few things at a time. My brother was trying to make things easier for her getting the machine as a gift, but it has made her life hell. She would have been better with her old upright washer. And of course the machine worked the two days he visited. He was impressed with the bells, whistles and lights. How can a company like LG get away with this?

Ordered an LG fridge in December because its the only one that will fit in the space I have. Suppose to be delivered on Jan 19, 2019... The night before I got a call saying it wont be delivered because they dont have it. After many calls and the runaround I found out it was a system error and I will get my new fridge in a week. Still no fridge and still getting the runaround from customer service saying I shouldnt be calling them, Home Depot should... This is the worst company to deal with and I would love to return this fridge before it ever gets here. If it ever does! I am running a family of four and working full time with a beer fridge lent to me by Home Depot! Totally ridiculous, and very unacceptable. They are offering no compensation for my time or inconvenience of not having a fridge I ordered and paid for already!!!

Purchased an LG washing machine model #wt4870cw 3 yrs ago and this is the 2nd service call in that span with the same problem. UE (unbalanced load) plus the inside top has rust around the fabric softener cup. Same problem we had 1 1/2 yrs ago!! It will cost us $285 for labor not including parts!! Terrible product and LG wont stand behind its product. Terrible customer service (from the Philippines)!! Will never buy another LG product again, not a TV, dishwasher, heck, not even a toaster!! Terrible product and company.

This is a great refrigerator....when it works. The compressor went out in year 4. This year, year 5, error Code Er Rf appears. Ice built up around the evaporator and blocked the fan so the fan burned out and the refrigerator did not cool. Serviceman shows up but did not have the part so we had to wait another week for repair. After the repair, a new error code, r dH which involves the defrost cycle came up a week later. Likely what caused the fan to go out the first time. I called LG for service and was told I would be called back to schedule service in 2 days. This is day 6 and no call. This is a very expensive refrigerator and well worth it....if it works. Extremely poor customer service for repairs.

I bought an LG french door fridge with bottom freezer. After just under a year, the ice machine went and I had to have it replaced. This was covered under warranty. However, my fridge is not quite 3 years old yet and the Linear Compressor went. LG told me the part is under warranty, but labor is not. So, I waited a week for the technician to come out and have a look at the fridge. He told me that the part is only about $150 (but covered under warranty), but the labor would cost me about $900 plus to fix and he couldnt even guarantee that it would work after. He told me to just buy a new fridge. So I spent $2300 not even 3 years ago and have to buy a new fridge. LG will not replace it.

LG Sensor Dry - The plastic frame on the lint screen never fit right, clothes get caught on it and spin around each other and stretch out of shape. I had to hang dry any tank tops and anything with spaghetti straps. I just dried a load of clothes and 3/4 of the load came out in one large twisted heap -- 3 pairs of dress pants, 6 shirts, two pairs of sweat pants which were worn once and one nightgown is totally stretched, ripped and ruined. If you are considering buying LG dont!!! We also own the partner front loading washing machine and it is ruining our water pipes. Weve lived in this house for 20 years and never had to get pressure relief valves before to stop the hammering in the pipes caused by this washing machine. Life may be great for this company, but they should change the name of this company to LS -- life sucks!!

We bought an LG True Balance top loading washing machine model number wt507
We bought an LG True Balance top loading washing machine model number wt5070cw from Lowes on April 4, 2013. It worked fine until September. Now when we put in a load, it goes into unbalanced, the code is UE and the machine shuts down with no spin. Called LG. They sent someone out 5 days later. The repairman they sent was not there to fix it (I thought it would be fixed) but just to order the parts it needed to be repaired. Okay, so he said the part would be here in a week and he will be back on Monday, another whole week. I live with my 3 grandchildren and we have a lot of laundry to do so those 2 weeks were awful with no machine and kids that needed clean clothes for school. The laundromats are not an option for they are very costly. Okay, so the following Monday, a different repairman shows up and spends 2 hours changing parts and when hes done, he says its still not working, must be the control panel and says he will order it and be back in a week to fix it. Now we are up to 3 weeks without the washing machine. Now I have literally piles of laundry that would cost at least $75.00 to do at a laundromat. So now we wait and Monday comes and goes and no repairman. So I call LG and they say the part is back ordered and could take up to 3 weeks to get. WHAT! So I asked for a refund so I can get a new machine and they say we have to make every effort to fix it. So after a few more pleading calls for a refund, they agreed. They said to send in the receipt to start the process. We did that and waited like 4 days and called again and they said they did not get the fax with the receipt so we sent it again and guess what! They said they still did not get it so sent it again. This time they got it. Now we are still waiting to hear. I do not know how much longer this process will take. If you are thinking about buying products from LG, I would think again!

My LG French Door refrigerator was just under 2 years old when it stopped cooling. Bought it on 9/15/2015, and it died on 9/10/2017. Called LG to find a certified repair person, and not a one would provide service to me as I was outside their service area. This was despite only being 30 minutes away from a Home Depot from whom I bought it. I went round and round with LG on how to service this refrigerator and their lack of repair service. The closest certified LG repair shop would not repair LG compressors! Really!! LG gave me the OK to use a local repairman, they diagnosed it as the compressor, which it was, but would not touch it. Another local repairman told me no one wants to service these refrigerators. Finally found an LG repairman farther away than 4 others who would not service it, and he charged me $750 labor (due to mileage of 70 miles) to come out and fix the compressor which was under warranty. He told me that this compressors are cheap foreign made units and do not expect them to last more than 7-10 years. He said the LG refrigerators are poorly made, but pretty on the outside. Dont buy an LG refrigerator due to this well known problem, and the fact that LG certified service is not available even though they are sold nearby. Go with Kenmore (Sears) and other USA serviced products who at least will service their products.

We have a technician coming tomorrow but LG representative was sure to make clear that it could be our fault and therefore the repair may not be covered under warranty. Now I have found that many people have had the same problem. It is apparent that LG is aware of a defect. Honestly! We were planning on buying an LG W/D for our 2nd house but not now! Ive already posted my complaint on this site, but I forgot to mention that I had to pay to have the door hinge replaced because it had corroded due to bleach spilling onto it, the only bleach I use is when I am using the Tub Clean cycle to attempt to remove the stink and slime. I have never spilled the bleach so the dispenser must leak. I believe the cause of the leaking might be due to the LG repairman puncturing the bleach compartment because I was having problems with bleach remaining in the chamber after the wash cycle and then bleaching clothing in the next wash load (dark clothing). Biggest mistake I have ever made in appliance purchase.

I also drain the drain hose about 4 times a mo. I take the roller jets out like 2 times a mo. and clean them. We have leveled it so much and even put a piece of plywood under it and that didnt help with leveling. This washer is really just a joke.

Bought a 30 in. W 20.2 cu. ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator in Stainless Steel
Bought a 30 in. W 20.2 cu. ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator in Stainless Steel with Multi-Air Flow and Reversible Door (Model LTCS20020S/00, SER 106MRKU08461) on June 19, Delivered on June 26. It never make any cold. Call LG, sent a service person come on July 1. Said no refrigerant and he had no license to handle it. Called again and again and send another service person come on July 21. It was said that the compressor is out of order plus other issues. Need to order parts which is a back order and will take a long time waiting.Called LG asking for a quicker solution. After a long time talking negotiating with a manager called Frances, Frances said waiting for over 15 days (it was almost a month at that time) was not acceptable and said would allow for reimbursement. She also gave me a number to do text communication with her and promised to respond in 24 hours. She did respond in the first several days but just asked me to wait. Then she never respond.Another lady called Garilee from the Return Authorization Department also texted me in another similar number to follow up. She first told me it was scheduled to have someone come but no one had come. Then she did not respond for a while then came back asking for update. I text her and never get response. I called again today (August 6) asking for talking to Frances. The customer service did not give me any chance but kicked me to the Return Authorization. Then I was kicked between the customer service and the return authorization a couple times. So, what I can do except desperation.I am not blaming Frances or Garilee for not doing what they said would do. It is all because of the attitude of LG to its customers. It reflects that LG cares much more on keeping their working procedures and dollars than taking responsibilities to care its customers. LG rather saves a few dollars than keeping customers away from suffering. Customers suffering from no use of refrigerators for one and half months means nothing to the company. LG does not want to keep the promises of its service representatives. As customers, do you still want to stick to buying its products? I switched. Though most of my appliances and TV are LG now, I wont buy any from LG. Very disappointed.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator on 4/17/2017. On 8/20/2020 the unit stopped cooling. I contacted LG on 8/21/2020 and they confirmed the unit was under warranty and dispatched a local technician to come on 8/27/2020. Technician came as scheduled and basically said LG is known for making faulty compressors and he had about 40 other homes waiting for compressors. I followed up weekly but the parts were on backorder. On 9/11/2020 I received a call stating they could return to fix the unit on 9/17/2020. On 9/17/2020 technician arrived and stated the issue was not the compressor but the tank which holds the coolant. He said he should have the part in 2-3 days. After 5 days of not hearing from them I spoke to LG headquarters who confirmed the local technician did not know the issue so they dispatched a different local technician to arrive on 9/25/2020. The technician did not arrive on 9/25/2020 so I called LG HQ again and they stated the technician cancelled the appointment but did not know why I was not made known of this. They stated corporate approved a defective return number for my home also known as a DNR number but I had to call 888-412-8357 to follow-up. I called that number and waited 2 hours but nobody ever came to the phone. I tried again today, and no luck. I would stay away from LG appliances in all as this has been a nightmare for my family.

I bought a top loading washing machine (no agitator in November 2013). The first week I washed a pillow and it shredded it and any towels to pieces. I called Home Depot and they said I had to deal with LG. A repair person came out and determined that the plastic rim around tub needed to be replaced. I wanted LG to replace my washer and they said NO. They told me that I had to have repair people out 3 times for same issue before they would consider replacing it. The plastic rim got replaced and the washer continued to shred clothes. The next repair person came out and found sharp edges in bottom of tub that have been ripping clothes. He then contacts LG and they say that this not covered under warranty. The repair will cost $800 (which is more than I paid for the washer!). The repair guy told me to only wash clothes on Bulky bedding setting so that clothes will less likely shred because it uses the most water. The following month I had a loss in the family and gave up trying to deal with LG. So for the past 4 years I have been using this washer only on Bulky bedding setting and throwing out a piece of shredded clothing about every other wash. The washer never cleans well, my whites are always dull and makeup never washes out of washcloths. The top latch also broke and I have to hold the lid down for a while before it will start. For past two weeks I have been getting a an error message that my brother who works on washing machines could not fix. It will not drain/spin. My brother took the back of the washer off to see if he could help and there was tons of pillow stuffing and shredded clothing pieces from the very first week of having this machine! LG says all repairs are up to me and there is nothing they can do. I will NEVER buy anything LG again!

After the first six to ten months of use, I struggled to figure out what I was doing wrong. Very often, the clothing would actually come out smelling worse than when they went in. Lint and dirt particles were left inside the tub, on my clothing and in the laundry basket. This issue increased in degree as the months went by. The LG design places an odd drain tube and plastic filter at the front bottom which requires cleaning periodically. But actually, it is a reservoir for dirty water and also, the filter rarely had much lint or pet hair on it.I am a senior citizen and I never imagined such a design would even exist. The dirt, lint and pet hair rarely reach the filter and just build up in the washer. I have had to remove the plug, replace it with a clamp and open the drain onto the floor after every load. The instructions want you to get on the floor and find a bowl low enough for gravity to fill it, but not spill it when theres more water than will fit in a typical bowl. The washer needs special cleaning very often and the whole process is utterly ridiculous. I have spoken with customer service and my issue was moved up to the manager, but the company has shown no interest in customer satisfaction at all. Having a Kenmore front loader previous to this is like changing from the best to the worst imaginable.

We bought the LFX31925ST 3 years ago, meaning its out of warranty. Last week, error dH showed up. We did research, learned that it means the defrost heater is not working well and had the unit reset by unplugging for a few minutes. It worked for 2 days. This morning, the freezer at the bottom is totally watery. The freezer has gone out!!! The thought of having to call for service on top of our daily responsibilities, not to mention the cost to fix, just bothers us. We had been Whirlpool fans for over 30 years, never any problems with fridge nor washing/drying machines. They worked until we want a new look for our house. We changed to this LG fridge for their large capacity of 31 cubic feet, but...lesson learned...we will never buy LG again. We will also make sure our friends and families learn from our experience with the low quality of this LG brand. We were a lot smarter when we continued to buy Sony TV brand over Samsung. Our brother is having big problem with his Samsung TV!!! Household appliances should bring comfort, not trouble like this. I realize now that there are others who have similar with LG brand products. LG needs to improve the quality of their product or at least, go out of their way to offer service for their fast-failing products, or they will go out of business soon, which we wont be surprised! Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Maytag, Sony, and other long time name brands are the way to go. I hope this wont happen to anyone else.

I wish I would have gone to Sears and got a basic top loader with proven track record. I know I could have bought 3 sets for the price of the LGs. Never again LG. Where is our great Consumer protection agency at? I could have bought her a nice car for the money I have spent keeping these two LGs running since 2006. When I wear my clothes they stink. LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased
LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased dishwasher 7/1/21, delivered 8/10/21. Started leaking at top of door end of October. LG authorized service center made 3 visits between beginning of November and beginning of December. The unit was pulled out and re installed with each visit. Door gasket changed, door lock latch replaced. Unit then developed leak from bottom of door and AE leak code that makes unit beep until power is hit off at the electrical panel. LG then sent out their regional “expert.” He determined a crack in the door panel liner. He also scratched up the control panel during his repairs. He stated that when he finally got a new door liner, that 3 others had been sent to him with damage. They also sent the wrong control panel replacement. The tech, named Jude, called LG with me standing next to him and told them unit continues to leak and is unrepairable. He did a live video with the LG techs showing them the leak and another crack he found in the door. After many emails, texts, phone calls, LG is refusing to refund/replace saying damage was due to incorrect installation of unit. This determination was made after 6 service visits in which the dishwasher was taken in and out each time by an LG authorized service person. It was never noted or mentioned to me the consumer that there was an install issue at any of these service appointments. Nor did their expert say that to LG when he spoke to them In front of me. If it was truly damage caused by installation why did LG pay for 6 service calls? Wouldn’t that have been noted after the first visit ? I now have a new piece of junk that worked for 6 weeks and had been non functional since 10/30, when I made the call for service. LG has offered me 20% off a new dishwasher. Why would I buy another LG product after this experience? The least they could do is provide me a replacement unit if they won’t give a refund.

Then I got, “Oh, you must submit this and that.” Every one of them that I could understand said, “Oh, sorry for your problem. Ill note that and that is all I can do.” As well as, “System is down today, sorry.” I requested a senior advisor or someone and never got anything but, “All I can do is note that, so sorry. Anything else I can do?The cost from the spoiled food I have had to throw out over the years is astronomical. The fact that I havent gotten seriously sick from the food is miraculous. Every time I had a little food that didnt taste right, I threw it out. There were so many times my ranch salad dressing tasted so sour, but I ate some and served it. But then I replaced it. DONT BUY LG PRODUCTS! THEY CANT BE FIXED... Our 5 year old LG washer conveniently stopped working only 2 months after the factory warranty expired. How did this highly tech washer with cell phone connection (pic) with LG FAIL right after the warranty ended? We called the Authorized LG REPAIR company to fix it and after 4 months and 5 visits, the Authorized LG repair company using the built-in high tech cell phone support (pic), could not fix this washer... And it cost us over $400. in non-warranty parts (pic) and service. Our LG washer still does not work and LG support has NO SOLUTION to the problem. As a less than generous offer, LG Corporation has offered us only a 15% rebate on another LG washer purchase. NO THANK YOU!! DONT BUY LG PRODUCTS! THEY CANT BE FIXED!

Im wondering if anyone else has had this problem with an LG washer. Both the service tech and the LG customer support techs said theyve never heard of it. I just discovered a few days ago that the machine does not add any water during the rinse cycle!!! Who knows how long Ive been wearing clothes and using towels that havent been rinsed. The tech replaced both circuit boards but it still does not work. LG insists that because the tech said that it does add a small amount of water there is nothing wrong.I tried to explain that a cup of water at the very end of the rinse cycle, which does not ever agitate and immediately drains out is NOT how its supposed to work. The tech said he doesnt know how much water is supposed to flow into the machine for the rinse cycle, but as long as something goes in, it means its working fine. Seriously? Im done being angry... just going to throw it out, but Im wondering if anyone else has had the no rinse water problem and if you were able to get it fixed. Thanks.

We purchased a brand new LG washer and dryer in May 2013. Last week the washer stopped working and gave us an OE error. After the repairman came yesterday (Tuesday), we have to wait ANOTHER week for pump that was broken. I have been to the laundromat this morning to the tune of $20 to wash and dry clothes, not to mention the time wasted sitting there. These are precisely the reasons why we wanted a reliable washer and dryer. I am buying new kitchen appliances (microwave, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator) this summer. I WILL NOT buy LG appliance again. The reliability is terrible!!!

I bought an LG LDF5545ST Dishwasher on March 26, 2017 from Lowes. Within a month the dishwasher started to smell so bad we thought there might be a mouse or something in it rotting. The dishes also were not coming clean or getting dried fully no matter what we did. I called LG and did everything they told me to try and it did NOT work. Do NOT buy this dishwasher, I am trying to get them to take it back, they are saying its been too long but I am going to do everything I can because this is disgusting, I cant even tell you how bad the smell is. Im going to schedule a maintenance person to come when the smell is at its worst.

I love my LG Inverter Linear refrigerator that I bought last year. But yesterday, I went to fill a glass with the water dispenser, and it wouldnt SHUT OFF! I had water everywhere. I had to lock the system and now the dispensing light wont turn off. Im disappointed that this has happened when the refrigerator isnt even a year old. Im hoping this isnt going to be a problemed appliance.

I bought a LG Electric Range, Model # LSE4611ST in Feb. 2020. I have just used the self-clean option and it did not clean the oven completely. I used an oven cleaner and now I have white blotches all over the oven. I have never owned an oven that could not handle oven cleaners. I would like to know how to fix this issue in my $1600 range. Very upset this happened to my fairly new range!

My LG bottom door refrigerator started having problems in June, the freezer stopped working. It took 2 months before someone would come and look at it. Then the part was no longer made. Since the part was under the 7 year warranty, they said they would replace my fridge or give us a refund. Ive called, and called, and called, each time talking to someone different, just for them to tell me to await a call in 3-4 business days. Each time I had to call them back. Now they say they are only giving me a few hundred dollars instead of a full refund! Ridiculous! I will never buy a LG product again!

When in spin cycle washer moves all over. They have come out 1st year more
When in spin cycle washer moves all over. They have come out 1st year more than a dozen times to repair. They have changed numerous parts to no avail. All repairman say that is my ceramic tile floor which 90% of the country has in their washroom. I still dont understand. I told them the previous front loader did not have this problem. They asked me if I bought extended warranty. I said it should be good from get go, brand new and installed by Home Depot. Went back to home depot to discuss further no avail. Either they said contact LG which I had done! When speaking with LG numerous times each time they were completely unprofessional rude. I finally explained Lemon law which when they said to me to screw off, I own this piece of crap which no one stand behind. I choke it up too. I will never ever buy a single LG product, even if they were the last company to produce anything. Stay away. Every time I see someone near their product I tell them to run. Poor customer service, poor quality product. I call them LIFES GARBAGE!!! So my unit is 2 years old now and because of the movement of my machine it destroyed the new floor. Remind you all techs said my floor to blame and also my walls. Thank god I keep door closed when my son is here so he doesnt get crushed by this garbage. Oh I spent $1200 plus hours lost while techs were here which was min 4 hours x 12 times on this machine. STAY AWAY FROM LG PRODUCTS PLEASE.
