LG claims that their appliances are built to last, but that is definitely not true for this gas stove. After only a few years of gentle use, it is falling apart. All the knobs are cracked, loose and need to be replaced, the centre grill cracked and broke, the LED display is starting to act up, the convection oven fan is pretty much useless. Gas valves are also really touchy and can be accidentally activated by accidentally bumping them. Parts are super expensive! LG wants almost $80 per knob to replace (there are five of them) and $240 for the grill assembly -- $640 + tax just for these parts! There are no electronics or moving components to knobs and grills -- they should last forever -- but they dont. Lots of complaints on the internet about LG stove knobs. Replacement knobs look like the same junk as the originals. No improvements. I called LG customer service to ask what they mean by built to last, but nobody could really say. My family and I are really disappointed that LG makes false claims about reliability and then charges outrageous prices for parts. Appliances should be repairable - at affordable prices - not disposable. We will be getting rid of this unreliable piece of junk and buying a stove from a reputable company. Please consider other manufacturers that are committed to reliability, service and environmental responsibility. LG does not deserve our business.

We purchased an LG front load washer and dryer and they both work fairly well. However, the front of the washing machine is rusting! Yes rusting, right by the soap dispenser. It sounds ridiculous that after 4 years the machine is rusting, but worse than that was the companys response. LG does not care. They act like they care, they tell you they care, they express their sorrow, but they wont fix the issue. They do absolutely nothing! They expressed to me that I must continually dry that area. In the manual it tells you to keep it dry! Not that the design is bad, not that the dish should not leak, but that by not constantly drying that area it could rust! I asked if they ever heard of this happening and they said no. Then I searched online and found out, that was not the case. This is absolutely a problem! A $1,000 problem. Supposedly a reputable company but what a piece of garbage! My last LG experience for sure!

We got our LG refrigerator about three years ago. I was very surprise when my wife said it stop working. We called LG and was told it would be $125 for a servicecall, plus labor. They sent a compressor out that morning before the service man got there. In talking with the guy he said they knew it was the compressor. It would $225 to fixed. He said he did three a day. The company know this is a problem.

We had this microwave for a few months and it started tripping the breaker. We had the breaker and all the electrical parts checked - nothing. We called to have it checked and repaired. They replaced a couple of parts in the unit - it still would trip the breaker. Called again and told them to replace the whole thing. Got a new microwave - and every now and then it will trip the breaker. Our old microwave NEVER tripped the breaker or had any issues with it, we only replaced it because we were remodeling our kitchen with all new appliances.

I bought an LG washer and dryer from Best Buy with extended warranties. The washing machine still works perfectly. The dryer however, is a piece of crap; after not even two years the steam function ceased to work. I contacted the extended warranty company which sent out an appliance repair service based locally in Avon Connecticut. Upon looking at the dryer the repairman told me it wouldnt be worth the money to fix it and just to use it without the steam function. It would be too costly to them to repair. I cant tell you how disappointed we are after having a whole household of LG products 10 in total cleaning the kitchen and laundry room. I dont blame any of this on Best Buy, however I do blame it on LG for not having a network to effectively repair what they sell. After repeated attempts to contact LG for almost 6 months we finally gave up. Do not recommend LG washer and dryer.

Model: LFX28978SW, 3 French Door refrigerator. Less than 10 years old. - 1st month: Plastic guide piece in ice dispenser chute broke off... Ended up mixed in with crushed ice. - 2 years: Mullion spring--a stainless steel spring--broke. - 4 years: Had to replace water valve assembly. - 9 years: 2 mullion spring broke... again... Lucky I bought 2 springs when 1st broke. I could see that it was a weak part and would likely break again. - General: Door seal around mullion torn, both sides. I certainly wont be buying any LG product after this experience. Ive had 3 other reefers; 2 have lasted 2+ decades and one, a KitchenAid, lasted 30 years.

First Id like to say that I am not a person often motivated to write review
First Id like to say that I am not a person often motivated to write reviews. I dont rush to review items that just meet my expectations. Youll only find a review from me if something is extremely worthwhile or, as in this case, seriously flawed. We purchased our brand new LG top-loading washing machine from Lowes in December 2013 for almost $700. For the first four months I was in love with it. Then I inadvertently pushed the stop button instead of the pause button when the load I was washing became unbalanced. Since the load had reached the Rinse stage, I thought Id just select the special option for Rinse/Spin. From that moment until just last week, Ive had nothing but trouble from it, related to being out of balance. After stopping it and restarting, the machine filled several times with water that almost overflowed the tub. I had to keep pausing and stopping it to keep it from continuing to fill. From then on, every load I washed had to be redistributed at least twice, most of them four, five, or six times. The straw that broke the camels back came when it took me all day to get one load close to being done. Before the final jingle, I would have to go to work and couldnt finish the load. The next morning I would come in to find the load soured and smelly, so I would start it all over. This went on for 14 days. Finally, Id had enough and called LGs customer service line. The CSR I talked to was condescending and snippy with me. I described the problem, only to be told that, either the installer didnt level the machine properly or SOMEONE (I wonder who she could be talking about?) had done something to the machine to cause it to be unbalanced. After I told her I wasnt stupid and actually did know she was referring to me, in a very rude manner she told me my issues were an installation problem and not covered under warranty. Then, she simply hung up on me. Since LG wouldnt help, I called the number for our extended warranty plan. Thank goodness we have that. The CSR there informed me that, if LG says it is an installation issue, then we wont cover it either. Maybe you should have Lowes come out and level it. My next call was to Lowes, still trusting that it might be, in fact, an installation issue. The original installer showed up in short order, level in hand, to prove that, not only is the machine leveled properly, our floor was absolutely level as well. He suggested that I go to the store and speak to the manager, which I did. Actually, I ended up speaking to an assistant manager, who with a sincere straight face, called the salesman up to the service counter and asked him to call the extended warranty plan for me. The salesman, who was the same man that sold us this machine, repeated what hed said to us when we bought the machine. This is the top rated washing machine in the country. We havent had any complaints at all about them. He did, however, call the warranty plan folks, who now were willing to arrange a service call. Now, out of all of the people we talked to during a two-week period, at no point through all of this did anyone mention that there was a RECALL on this machines controller board due to problems with... Can you guess...the machine continually being out of balance. Of all the negative reviews I had read during these two weeks, I only saw one where the controller board was mentioned. Apparently, no one at any point along the way wants the consumer to know that the machine has a KNOWN, WIDESPREAD, DOCUMENTED PROBLEM THAT RESULTED IN A RECALL. We only found out about the RECALL, because the service company, not wanting to waste their time on two service trips, called ahead to ask what issues we were having with the machine. As soon as my husband described our problems to them, their CSR told him about the RECALL. Said they would have to order the controller board and rescheduled the service call to a date after the part would be in. Their technician came to the service call with the controller board in hand, which apparently was already loaded with updated software. Since having this board installed, I have used my machine heavily all day for the past four days. The only out of balance error Ive seen was for a true out of balance condition where all my small load of clothes had ended up on one side of the tub. As long as this washer continues to operate the way it is now, Im happy to own it. To LG, Lowes, Lowes Extended Warranty and any other company who sells this product without letting their customers know about this issue and the RECALL, I can only say SHAME ON YOU! BE HONEST WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS!! After being treated so dishonestly and shamefully by LG, I will never buy another LG product of any kind, even if I am told it is the top rated product in the country. LG obviously has no intention of standing behind their products when there is something wrong with them. Im also shocked and seriously disappointed with Lowes in whom Ive had so much trust over past years. Apparently their policy is one of loyalty to their manufacturers rather than their customers. Heres a clue, Lowes. Without customers you dont need manufacturers. Im afraid I wont be shopping at Lowes for anything any more. And all of these bad feelings and sentiments could have been avoided simply by being honest with me about the issue and upfront about the RECALL. To all of you consumers who have one of these washers with similar problems, call as soon as possible to wherever you bought it and tell them that you know about the RECALL. Tell them you want it fixed or you want them to come and pick it up. Exchange it for a machine from a company who will stand behind their product to keep it working and their customers happy. Most of all, lets all quit buying products made by companies who dont keep the promises they make to us. If no one buys their products, theyll either have to change their business practices or go under. As for LGs flawed washing machine, it is my intent with this review to alert anyone who owns one about the RECALL. Remember: RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL RECALL. Take advantage of the RECALL!

We have had the dishwasher 3-4 years, it has been working fine. Then I start smelling something and take of the panel. A wire had come loose and melted the side then started melting plugs. After I had taken everything apart I found that not only had a wire come loose but the left side of the washer was rusting. See pics. How in the world does this happen in such a short time with everything is suppose to be sealed. LG told they couldnt or wouldnt do anything because it was out of warranty. I guess if you get a couple of days out of warranty watch out your house, could burn down because for shoddy labor. Never buy an LG again.

I spent $2,000 on an LG refrigerator in October of 2016. It has not worked since April of 2018. I have made over 30 calls to LG. They have sent 4 technicians out to repair. Each technician has said it is unrepairable and sent necessary paperwork to LG for replacement. I have even submitted a report with the BBB and sent all necessary receipts for fridge and lost food like they requested for replacement and compensation for food lost. LG said they would call back within 5 days and take care of. NOTHING. I have now called 5 times in the last week and even if you get someone to answer - they ask the SAME THING give us your email address so we can send you link to a website to upload your proof of purchase. They NEVER send you an email!! Lies, lies, lies!!! They are crooks!! Their product is junk and their customer service is even worse!! Beware - NEVER buy an LG product!!

I bought an LG refrigerator, french door model, for my new home. I did purchase the extended warranty but it didnt take a year for problems to arise. 3 months after purchase I had front panel moisture, then the fridge and freezer stopped working. Three repair visits and 2.4 months later, they were unable to fix the fridge. Lost Enbrel shots (3K worth), all condiments, fruit, veggies, etc. There are no provisions from LG to compensate you at all for any loss. No fridge in the interim to live? - LG not concerned. A local appliance company sent me a loaner when things got desperate. The lack of quick follow-up, poor attitude on the phone, lack of interest in finding a repair company that will come out to fix the appliance and a general interest in taking care of the problem was outrageous. Literally have never had this kind of experience. 3 months... Why didnt LG recognize it might be a bad unit and move to replace the appliance? I will tell everyone I know, the builder who has much of the business here, neighbors, workmates, etc. to not buy LG appliances. That is my only power as a consumer. I understand if things break - what I dont understand is a company failing to stand behind a $2600.00 appliance that is 3 months old. Shame on LG!

Bought new washer in August 2013. I have had the repairman out twice and machine still wont spin out sheets or towels. Electronic board has been replaced but LG refused to permit the first repairman to replace other parts that he thought were defective. I have wasted 1000 dollars on a machine that wont spin. I wish I had my 15 year old Whirlpool back. I bought the machine from Home Depot and they refuse to do anything until the original year warranty is out. Sent out another repairman today and after 5 minutes of self diagnostics, he says nothing is wrong with the washer. (This was from running an empty washer.) Is there anything else I can do?

Washing Machine Model WT1101CW - There are several issues, the top being that the washer does a poor job of cleaning clothes. Ive had to soak white shirts in bleach to get out normal dirt. Ive had to wash clothes twice and three times to get them to even smell clean. I had a 20 year old Maytag prior to the LG and Im ready to get rid of this one after only having it 3 months. A second issue is that it leaves a full tray of water in the dispenser after the cycle is completed. I have to dump out the water every time. I called for service and they will not come out for that issue - stating that they only respond to technical issues and thats not technical. What??? Ive followed all of their instructions - and even called them 2 weeks after having the machine. No response from LG.

I had purchased a side to side refrigerator in 2011 and now it has shown up with some trouble in the compressor, I am now informed I cannot get any spare part since it is out of warranty period, I have filed a complain on 13th Jan 2020, still no response from the customer care, I have the following doubts, 1) are we suppose to select the product only based on the warranty given because we never get any spare part beyond this, so that says 5 years is the worth of this product and any repair beyond this is not possible. 2) If this is the state why should we pay such high prices refrigerators and condom it to increase the junk when on the other side we speak about global warming and decreasing the waste. 3) I had grown up using LG products and its so very disappointing when we do not get proper response from a brand whom we respected as a high brand and felt pride is possessing it.

We bought a front load washing machine (LG) 2 years ago. I have written customer service to remedy the problem weve had (the SMELL), but they didnt tell me anything that I hadnt already tried. Every time I would do a load of laundry, my entire hallway would stink like rotten eggs. We finally discovered that there was a hose at the bottom of the unit, and learned we were supposed to drain it from time to time. Actually, I have to drain it EVERY TIME! Every time I empty the water from the hose (about 4 cups of water), it stinks like sulfur or eggs. If I dont drain it, that water just goes onto my next load of laundry that Im washing. Our refrigerator went out about 3 weeks ago. We had one repair technician come out who said the compressor and motherboard needed to be replaced. He ordered the part and 4 days later came to do the repair. Upon disconnecting the compressor, he said there was something else wrong with the refrigerator as there was no Freon in the system. He indicated that either the evaporator was bad or there was a leak in the line. He said there should have been Freon in the system when he disconnected the compressor, but there was none. He indicated we needed to contact LG to have them send out one of their service technicians to complete the repair. That is when all the problems arose. LG issued a repair order and a new technician called us. When he learned that another technician had opened the refrigerator to change the compressor, he said he would not touch the refrigerator. We call LG back and requested the work order be directed back to the original technician at our request, but to our dismay, the technician said he did not have the equipment to do the repair. Since then we have been trying to get in touch with LGs executive services and they saying they will call us back if we get disconnected. Sure enough, when they attempt to connect us to their Executive Service group (about 2 or 3 times), we get disconnected and have not received a call back.We contacted several companies that LG has referred us to call and found one that said they would come out and evaluate the refrigerator, but we needed to get a work order from LG assigned specifically to them for them to come out and work on the refrigerator. We are still waiting on LG for that work order. What else can we do?

Bought a top of the line LG washer. Washes regular loads of clothing well -- HOWEVER -- do NOT plan to wash sheets or mattress pads! No matter how I balanced the load, the machine cannot get through the spin cycle. This morning, I have taken some out (that didnt help) -- added the removed blanket back (that didnt work - no matter how I repositioned the items) -- put the first piece back and added additional sheets, hoping that would enable the machine to spin (nope - still wont spin!) I replaced my older Maytag front loader with this LG one and am SOOOO sorry we did! Please pay attention to the other reviewers advising against purchasing one of these LG washing machines! They are not exaggerating! This is a nightmare! LG serviceman could not help -- told me to only place items that fill the washer 2/3s full. Doing with this with bedding only makes the unbalance worse. Not sure what Im going to do with the wet mess I have in my laundry room at this point! YOUVE BEEN WARNED!

I purchased a new LG Range and LG Microwave in April 2019 -installed in May 2019. In October of 2019 the Magnetron and motor fan failed and needed replaced. This was serviced and covered by LG. Now come November of 2020. The motor fan and magnetron is failing again... Was on phone with LG for over an hour explaining that this should not happen in a microwave AGAIN in the short amount of time that Ive had it. LG will not do ANYTHING since its out of my warranty period. After a very lengthy conversation with a manager- they agreed to cover the Magnetron part only (then to find out by a service company that these are covered for 8 years regardless). No help on service fee or the fan part being paid for either. The quote to get this fixed is higher than the cost of a new microwave. Very disappointed. My very cheap microwave before I bought this one lasted 10 years. What gives LG? Dont make customers beg and plead for help on a failing product. There is NO way this microwave should fail this quickly. I believe I received a defective product from the beginning. So frustrating.

About 75% of the loads will experience an out of balance error. The washer will attempt to recover by entirely filling with water, agitating and attempt to re-spin. Doesnt work. Even after re-positioning the load, rarely will it complete the cycle. We generally end up removing about half the load and try to spin in batches. We have to babysit the machine to prevent it from using more and more water. We will never buy another LG product and do our best to dissuade others from making the same mistake we did. LG over the oven microwave LMV1680WW - We purchased this microwave in 2010. Unless I can see a better response, there will never be any more LG anythings in my household.

We bought the whole set from Home depot of the LG in wall oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. We recently ran the self clean on the in wall oven for the first time. It started smoking, locked and completely died. We had a service person come out and it was a faulty thermostat. They said they see problems when the clean cycle is run on these all the time. Cost $270 to repair, but it caused horrible brown marks to my cabinets. The oven is two years old. Were not sure what were going to do about the cabinet damage yet, but Im sure it will be a costly repair/replacement. I would not recommend the LG in wall oven. The service through home depot was horrible and all LG did was recommend a service person.

I thought I was getting a good deal on a 3 year old machine (WT5001CW)... But now realize why it was so cheap. It wont complete any load w/o you having to manually balance the load - possibly multiple times. If you dont babysit the machine it will try??! Every single load ends with uE. Small load, big load, socks only, towels only, jeans only - none will spin!! The only thing this does well is knot tying - all your kids jeans/Stretchy pant will end up in one giant knot! Lg seriously needs to release a fix or recall all of these machines as they dont do the only job they have. Im going to burn the ** out of this machine and post it to youtube!! Ill get a million hits. These things are so broken and hated!!! My wife used to like LG, we have LG phone, TV, stereo headphones - but Im not letting her buy another friggin thing that has LG on it since they refuse to acknowledge the absolute failure of their top load washers!!!

LG makes great products that are reliable and very durable. They have a great reputation and an amazing staff. Their products allow me to be flexible in what I can do in the kitchen and how I can get it done. The fridge had a sleek anime with a great water filter built into the refrigerator and a multiple setting temperature gauge. The refrigerator also had a great ice maker that allowed us to be flexible. With current technology I would make a self cleaning product in the fridge. I would also make the ice maker larger and more compatible.

MY EXPERIENCE HAD BEEN HORRIBLE! HERES WHAT HAS HAPPENED. Called hhgregg where I purchased refrigerator in March 2016. Leak started August 2016. The phone menu automatically routed my call to LG Customer Service. They said they dont repair damage to home but will repair refrigerator. They made an appointment to send an LG technician in two days. I had to call a water damage company in the meantime because water had leaked through the wall into a hallway and a bedroom. Water was under tiles and was squishing in the carpet. The LG technician finally came. The refrigerator was moved from its niche in kitchen. The technician discovered the problem. He said it was a defective valve in the ice maker. He said theyre (LG) going to hate this but its on us (LG). Called customer service again. Customer service representative, finally agreed to give us a claim number and gave us a number for Product Liability. I kept calling that number but no one ever answered and no one returned my calls. I finally got another number from customer service rep. Bottom line is the estimate to repair and restore is around $6225. They said they will pay $4224. I cannot get my home repaired for that amount. My refrigerator is still sitting in the middle of the breakfast area and the ice maker cannot be hooked until the repairs are made to my house. The defective refrigerator caused all the damage and LG should pay the full cost of the restoration. The Product Liability department has been very disrespectful and rude to me, a customer who purchased one of their products. Does anyone know who I should call at LG to resolve this issue.

Following some serious health issues my wife and I moved south to Florida. Based on the cost of buying new vs transporting everything we decided to purchase new. After building and closing on our brand new home on the South Florida Gulf Coast we identified the best appliance store and proceeded to purchase what we were told the best quality Washer (LG steam inverter direct drive True Balance) and the Gas Dryer (LG True Steam Sensor Dry) which were both listed by Consumer Guide as their choice/“Top Rated”? For the record we owned a matched pair of The Whirlpool Duet Washer and Gas Dryer up north prior to moving south for OVER 15 YEARS WITHOUT INCIDENT! The LG washer came with an impressive 10 year warranty and to my complete surprise the Dryer came with a ridiculous 1 year warranty! Within six months the dryer was leaking small amounts of water on the floor and the dryer was making loud grinding noises that got progressively louder as the dry cycle progressed! In addition the inside drum/tumbler finish became worn out and marred while the vent at the rear inside of the dryer literally had the finish burnt off with excessive heat presenting a serious issue! In fact some expensive Tommy Bahama shirts were ruined by this dryer!I have called the US Customer Information Center numerous times over the past two years leaving numerous messages until one day three months ago I finally had someone pick up from the Customer Information Center that was obviously overseas possibly located in India based on the gentlemen’s accent This gent proceeded to tell me that the washer was still under warranty but the dryer is only covered for one year! UNBELIEVABLE!!! He then informed me that he would have someone get back to me within the next 24 hours BUT obviously that never happened!! Based on the pricing and the alleged “Top of the line” there has got to be something that can be done? As we live in South Florida the clothing we cycle thru both machines is very light with no shoes ever touching either unit. Based on the facts I would warn you, stay away from LG Washers and Dryers!!

We bought our LG refrigerator 5 years. This was a $3500 unit. 1 week past the additional warranty we bought with Home Depot, the fridge stops cooling. We had an appliance repair technician come out and look at it. They indicated it is a sealed system issue. We were advised to reach out to LG as this should be covered under the LG warranty and a known issue. The tech told us it would be a battle to get the warranty honored, and it seems they are right. It has now been five days and after now my third email and a phone call, no one at LG can get back to us. This has been extremely frustrating, especially with the holidays coming up.

Bought an LG refrigerator in November, 2015. (We replaced a GE refrigerator that was 9 years old which worked fine, except that the fan was noisy.) In September, 2018, the LG refrigerator quit working. We discovered water on the floor and found that the ice had melted. All the food was spoiled. Upon contacting LG, we were initially provided a list of companies to contact to get the refrigerator repaired, and all companies were located in Georgia (we are located in Wisconsin). I then contacted a couple local service companies, and both told me that it was the compressor and would cost $1500 to replace (LG does not cover cost of repair after one year) and would take approximately 10 days to get the part and then install. We had no backup refrigerator and neither the vendor we purchased it from nor LG offered a loaner during the lengthy wait. Therefore we had no choice but to buy a new refrigerator. After 3 months of dealing with LG customer service, we were sent a check for $175 to cover spoiled food. I will never purchase another LG product. They take no responsibility for defective products - and from the reviews I’ve now read, there are many defective products bearing the LG brand name.

I purchased an Lg Washer and dryer a little over a year ago. Within the first year I had to have the washer repaired a total of four times with three of those repairs being done for the same issue. When I bought the washer at Pacific Sales in San Dimas Ca, I purchased an extended warranty. Just recently, the washer began to leak water again. I contacted the warranty department and notified them of the problem. They sent a technician out and he deemed the washer unrepairable since it had been repaired for the same thing several times. I then contacted LG and told them that they needed to replace my washer or give me my money back. This washer is a lemon. They told me that I was out of warranty and that I had to deal with my extended warranty company. I told them that I already had and that since the problem was a pre-existing one, they would have to replace it.So after two months, I still dont have a washer that works and not only that, I have a wash room that has been damaged due to the leaks from the washer. My wood floor has begun to warp. I have done everything that LG has asked me to do and provided and they continue to give me the run around and blaming everyone but themselves.

I purchased an LG refrigerator from Home Depot. Most expensive refrigerator they had on the floor was $2800. I have had nothing but trouble with it. It has leaked 4-5 times ruining my floor and now it is not cooling or freezing. No one here in Cheyenne will even work on LGs. The repair business report has difficulty obtaining parts as they have had customers waiting for over a month to get parts so they will not service them. Do not purchase LG because of their poor availability of service and parts and poor quality.

We purchased an LG Front Loader True Balance washing machine in MARCH 2016 from Lowes. This past week, SEPT 2016, water started leaking from underneath washer. We contacted LG directly, tried some troubleshooting to no avail. LG customer service asked that we email a picture of our receipt; we did. We called again and someone told us that the machine was made in 2014, purchased in 2016 and they will have to get back to us. Crickets. Then, we called Lowes. They seemed to be helpful but determined we live outside the service territory and they would have to send complaint back to LG. **!! We have not heard anything from anyone for 5 days now. No washing machine, 2 school-aged children, one of which has a bug and has been throwing up for the past three days, myself and my husband who will be going to work commando soon. It seems that most products today are just crap. CRAP! Not only are the products crap, but customer service, service repair procedures and overall way of doing business is dead. Off to wash vomit-soaked stuffed animals by hand. As God is my witness, we will never buy another LG product again.

Purchased the LG 5 element double oven slide-in range in late June, 2019 along with an LG dishwasher. In September, while using multiple elements, the range must have overheated because it shut off and flashed an error notice that I had to dig deep on the web/blogs to figure out what it was...Best I could come up with was motherboard failure. I cut power from the circuit and the next day and since, no problem with the error. THAT is not the issue right now. Lets start with the cooktop. I am OCD with cleaning the top. It even gets a wipe down when it hasnt been used. There are white marks on 3/5 of the elements. The previous range, which was 15 plus years old did not have these marks and that cooktop took a beating.I get things that are used cannot look showroom new, but 8 months of not daily use and it looks older than the previous range...which is very frustrating. Now lets move to the ovens. This model has the bright blue enamel interior. The easy clean function does NOTHING at all. Spills and drips happen and the easy clean was one of the reasons I selected the LG model. Ok, so I just gently wiped the minor spills and drips with a wet rag when the oven cooled and would do the self clean as needed. I wipe the glass on the oven doors regularly and honestly have no clue how there are drips in between the glass on both top and bottom. You cant see it unless the door is open or the light is on but they are there and shouldnt be unless there is a problem with the door/glass seals..NOW, today I ran the self clean cycle for the first time since purchasing this unit. I am absolutely livid!! The cycle ran for four hours and then it took some more time to cool so I could wipe the accumulated ash from all of the cleaned spatter and drips that I couldnt wipe out. Both top and bottom ovens look ruined. The grime just cooked into the finish! While wiping with the damp towel, it was shiny and looked clean. As it dried, it looked like bacon cooled bacon grease. I wiped again with another towel and dried with a microfiber cloth...still there and will NOT go back to the shiny finish and seriously looks like coagulated bacon grease. This range was not cheap but is manufactured extremely cheaply. I am sick to my stomach with my decision to buy this unit as opposed to one that was more readily available. The dishwasher I have no problem with so far but this range is absolute JUNK! I looked at many reviews prior to purchase but I wish I had looked at this site before purchasing this unit because this would have tipped me into the cons...dont buy column. Do not purchase an LG range!

For the first three years, I was quite happy with the LG washer and dryer. Not quite at the four year mark and the washer needs serious service (Luckily I bought the extended warranty because LG only offers a 1 year warranty - do they know something the consumer doesnt??). The repair man came out yesterday (had to take the day off as they only work until 4:00) and he found that the repair is quite serious and needs a number of new parts. He said it is a two-man job and they will come back in two weeks as the parts will take a while to be ordered!!! I requested a reimbursement for having to go to the laundromat, but Geek Squad discontinued that part of the extended warranty in 2014! LG doesnt offer it at all - again, do they know something the consumer doesnt. In any event, I will NEVER AGAIN BUY AN LG PRODUCT!!!

Within 2 years of purchasing our top-load (no center agitator) washer/dryer set, the metal around the bleach dispenser in the washer began to rust. We lifted the top of the washer and the entire bottom was rusted. It looks as if the underside of the washer top was not sealed properly from water damage. We found many other similar complaints online and contacted LG, only to be told that the rust is cosmetic. Soon our bleach dispenser will be unusable. During a normal cycle, water runs through the bleach dispenser, so even if I stop using it for bleach, the rusty water will still enter the washer drum. There is no reality in which rust running into the washer should be considered cosmetic.

Purchased an LG side-by-side refrigerator with door-in-door option (M/N LSXS26366D, S/N 709MRFP09283). The first problem is that the software function occasionally (about every nine months or so) turns off the compressor with no alarming what-so-ever. You have to watch for water on the floor and freezer items starting to thaw. You have to remove power for 15 seconds and then turn it back on to get the system operating again. Nothing in the manual about it. I had to find that out looking at on-line complaints. The final problem is the compressor died 2 years and 10 months into operation (purchased Oct 2017, now Aug 2020). No alarm for that either. Looked the same as the controller failure, but this time resetting several times didnt work. Tragically, you cannot get the door-in-door option anywhere else. Maybe with some luck I can find a repair person that can remove the LG installed Linear Compressor with something more reliable. If the controller is what died (rest of the unit works, just no cold air), then I purchased a very expensive dump decoration.

This is an 18-month-old LG refrigerator and is the second time it has suffered this failure. I have now been without a refrigerator for 9 days - over Christmas no less, and I am now told that it will be at least another week - with no confirmation on that - before I have the parts. I ordered parts from the LG supplier as given on the LG website - MCM electronics. They never shipped the part. Then when I spoke with them again they reluctantly said they would ship with another shipper claiming it was the shippers problem - but USPS, the original shipper says the parts were never available for pickup. One of the two parts did arrive and - my fault - it was not the correct part. I cannot track the second part as they never sent purchase confirmation e-mail and they are closed. Then I ordered the same parts via Sears - the website said they were in stock but Sears now confirms that the parts were indeed not in stock at LG and that it will be at least another week until they arrive, but they cannot confirm this. Parts are also not available at Repair Clinic.com. This appears to be an LG purposeful action to force you through an LG repairperson as the parts are not available from anyone - its an easy fix if I can ever get the parts. I need to file a complaint against LG and on Monday I will follow-up further with the State Attorney Generals Office and the Better Business Bureau. At this point - over my dead body will I call for an LG repairperson and I will never again purchase anything from LG.

We replaced older but well-functioning washer and dryer with the upright LG. We were told by the salespersons that this was the best although expensive system. The research we read also led us to believe we were making a great investment. Wrong! The smell and mold that builds up is unbearable. Our room downstairs smells moldy ever since we began using our machine. The washer shakes horribly. We also had an LG serviceman come twice. We paid for his time, travel and service to adjust the legs of the machine. It still shakes and now leaks. Of course, this all started happening once the year warranty expired. When I contacted the LG company directly about the problems, I was directed to use the LG service repair. Beyond disappointed and frustrated. We are worried about the negative impact we may experience with our health with the constant mold that continues to plague the machine. After reading all the logs, something needs to be done about this problem! LG WM2233HW.

I am always burning food which never happened unless it was my fault. It has 2 temps burnt or raw! I do use it a lot but that is no excuse. The blue interior has a haze on it I cant get rid of, I have tried everything under the sun. If there was a way to get my money back or fixed the interior I would but Google is no help. Now the microwave, it went out 6 months ago I called them it took another 3 months for them to get someone to come out and we live in Northern VA not a rural area then another 3 months to get someone out to fix it. We hardly ever use it (the microwave) and to have the control board go out at 6 months is crazy. I got the extended and its acting up again! I dont think I can ever buy an LG product again. We have a LG French Door Model LFCS30726S, 2 1/2 years old. Stopped cooling. Called our usual service technician. They came out. Said the compressor was not working. Since the compressor is on a 10 year warranty called LG. The first person I talked to was so very helpful. He managed to set an appointment for 2 days, between 12-5. On that day we were at home entire day waiting. At 4:45 pm I call LG again. The man checks on status. Says the service technician was at his 2nd to last call for the day and would still be there. NO SHOW. Comfort Care Appliance did not call. Just did not come. I call LG again the next morning. They said that the call was rejected and I would have to wait 3-5 business days for another service company to accept the warranty call. My call was then escalated to another level, now the next person at this escalated level was NOT helpful. I got angry at this point. And was hung up on.I called back and was then told that Comfort Care had rejected my service call at 11pm the previous evening, that was 6 hours after they were suppose to be there, and there was nothing I could do but wait for 3-5 days for another warranty company to take my call. We paid over $2,000 for this refrigerator and it was only good for 2 1.2 years???? I must say that the service people who first answer the phones did all they could to take care of me, the person I was escalated to was NOT. I could live without a washer, dryer, stove, microwave, dishwasher, but when your refrigerator goes, you are reduced to coolers and neighbors generosity. It starts to get old after more than a couple of days.

Worst company by far. We bought a LG fridge 2 years ago worth over $3500 and the fridge broke down over a week ago. I contacted them. They sold me the flat rate which cover parts and labour. The repairmen come on the Monday. I thought was pretty good till he broke the fridge behind repair and told me that is nothing he can do but he said, Dont worry. You have choose the flat rate. They will have to send you a new fridge.A week later nobody get back to me. I had to call them myself. All that wait for someone tell me that they will give $800 toward a new LG fridge. What a joke. They send someone to fix my fridge they broke it behind repair and now I am the one with no fridge. They just dont care. I will tell everyone I know to never buy anything LG. I will never buy LG again ever. I also have two LG tv and a dishwasher. I will put them for sale and buy new one. Never ever again LG will be in my house or anyone I know please do yourself a favour - never buy LG. They are just crooks.

In June of 2014 I bought a new French door LG fridge ($2199) for our new home from Sears Canada. From the minute it was plugged in it squealed randomly and has a constant humming/vibrating noise that is well above just annoying. As a point of reference, we have an almost identical LG at the cottage and it is basically noise free. I have been quite patient about getting the noise corrected as it seems to function well except for how noisy it is. The authorized LG repair tech was there today for the second time and had the gall to tell me it seems not bad, I asked him to leave and go have another drink as the alcohol coming off him would serve a college fraternity well.Almost one year later I still have an annoying buzz coming from my new LG refrigerator and zero satisfaction in getting this remedied. At this point I fully expect LG to delay this until the one year warranty is up and say sorry, nothing we can do. Fortunately, I have lawyers in my family and this matter is far from over. As many others have said, THIS WILL BE MY LAST LG PRODUCT regardless of the ultimate outcome. There is no need in this day and age to put up with this level of customer service.

I purchased a LG Refrigerator in April of 2013. In January of 2015 the unit stopped cooling. After having two technicians come out, one saying the circuit board needed replaced and the other saying there is a leak in the unit, both indicated parts and labor would be $800 per issue (not sure which to choose) and may not take care of the problem. After 11 calls to lg customer service and several online chats, they determined there is nothing they can do to help or compensate for my loss of a 2 year old $2,059 refrigerator. Lg has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I will never purchase another lg product!!

3 yr old Kenmore (LG manufactured) refrigerator went out at Thanksgiving. Sears was very slow to respond. Tech came out and immediately said it was compressor without even touching the fridge. He said they were replacing them left and right. Part was ordered and it took two weeks to get it. He came back out and it was either the wrong part or it wasn’t a functioning compressor. Fast forward to now and we received the compressor on Tuesday and they are telling us it will be next week before anyone will come out to make repair. It has been 6 weeks now without a refrigerator. We went out and bought a 4 cubic foot fridge that gets us by - barely. Don’t know if it will work when they come back again next week but hopeful. Sick of LG and Sears!

I bought an LG gas range model LRG30355ST at Home Depot sometime in 2009, and all the five knobs are all cracked and can no longer be adjusted to low or high. The cost of these knobs are exorbitant and almost costs around 1/3 of the total cost of the gas range. These companies should not be allowed to manufacture substandard parts for their products at the expense of the consumers. Whether they do this on purpose to generate additional revenues, we dont know. But something should be done and shift the responsibility back to companies like LG and make them pay or correct them at no cost to the consumers. Like others, I will no longer buy LG products and will spread the word that LG products are not quality products.

Purchased an LG side by side refrigerator from Home Depot 3/2018 with a 5-yr protection plan. 7/2/2019 the ice dispenser wouldnt stop running after crushing ice. Couldnt get it to stop. Had to disconnect refrigerator while waiting for service. Called both LG & Home Depot to report the problem. LG claimed the repair service was scheduled for July 4th which I questioned because it is a Holiday. Called again next day 7/3 to be sure and was told it was scheduled for 7/4 between noon & 5:00pm waiting for ordered part. I asked about ordering a part if no one was out yet to see what the problem was. No one came. Repair company (very rude) said they werent scheduled until 7/11. Lost $600 in food plus cost of purchasing ice. LG will only reimburse $200. No resolution yet.

Back in November 2008 we purchased an LG front load washer from Home Depot. After two months of owning the washer it went crazy! I had put a load of clothes in to wash and went about my chores, when I heard a horrible banging sound! When I ran into the laundry room I saw the washer jumping all over the place and beating holes in my wall! Before I could get to the plug to disconnect power, the front of the machine blew off and the washer drum fell out. I was in shock, my floor was flooded and the machine was destroyed! I called LG and explained what had happened and their wonderful customer service suggested that I unplug the machine for 15 minutes and then try it again! Really??? After 3 weeks, about 50 phone calls they finally sent a repairman out who said it was do fixable! Another two weeks went by and we finally got a replacement machine. The replacement leaks all of the time! They have been out to check it more times than I can count and it still leaks! I will never buy another LG product!

Bought stove in October of 2016. Didnt have gas line installed until Dec, but noticed when we reached up to use microwave we were accidentally turning one or both burners on. Called J. C. Penney about problem but were told that no gas would be released until the knob was turned far enough to light the burner and we would hear the clicking and would have time to turn it off. When we had gas installed to stove we found that wasnt the case. Just a small bump would allow gas to release without warning. Very dangerous situation. At 64 years old we should not have to worry about such a problem. Spoke to J. C. Penney about the problem and were told if we had bought their warranty they could look into it. We were told to contact LG but are put in hold for literally an hour or more until I get frustrated and hang up. Wanting to know what consumer protection agency we can contact about the dangers of this stove. Havent used the oven enough to say if there are problems with that. Sounds like this should be a class action.

LRE3083ST - After a year and 4 days of limited use there is enamel flaking off inside the stove. There appears to be rust underneath this area and this is a manufacturers defect. The range is not usable as food is not safe to eat any food. Flakes are airborne during cooking this range. The safety issues with this range are of great concern and the lack of response and support from LG on their product, which obviously has a manufacturers defect, is alarming. LG says this is cosmetic and I would never buy another one of their products. This was a waste of $799 dollars.

We have had nothing but problems with our LG front loader. Any efficiency savings were eaten up in repairs and having to wash on super duty just to get stuff cleaned. The odor problem is the absolute worst. I just pulled out the detergent area and it was absolutely caked with black mold. It was the worst on the areas where the water is dispensed through. This means that no solutions of solvents would ever get to that source because its before the detergent area entry. We use the special detergents and they take care of he smell for only a few days. Who wants to spend all that time and money maintaining a washing machine. It is supposed to help us simplify our lives. I also had to drain it many times manually to remove the small items that get into and clog the drainage system. How does that possibly happen? That is a seriously flawed design problem. I have read many of the other complaints and they are all the same. At what point can we file a class action lawsuit against this company which has a very poor quality product?

So this sale is now in the hands of LG and I have no idea where my product is? Where it shipped from? Or how long I will wait for it? The Holidays approach and that may interfere with accepting any freight without prior arrangement for obvious reasons. I have no idea how to contact LG, or how I would reference my order even if I could contact them.Customer Care with this Company is ridiculously poor, I spent a bunch of money and I am in the Dark on my end. We purchased the LPXS30866D Refrigerator as part of a complete set from Costco when we were remodeling a home. The refrigerator is just 4 years old when we woke up one morning to have everything thawed. We were told the compressor went out and to set up a repair through LG Support. We did that and were told we would be contacted in 3 to 5 days. A few days went by and we hadnt heard anything so I called again, they said I should hear something in a few days. Once again when I didnt get any calls I called again and was told my first submission was cancelled! So, I had to start the whole process again with waiting the 3 to 5 days just to hear from someone to even schedule and appointment. Finally got an appointment scheduled for the repair but when the day of the appointment came the LG liaison showed up but the repairman did not. The LG liaison apologized and told us he would get back with us on another date. 10 days later we were scheduled again for the repair this time both showed up BUT, then the repairman realized what the repair was and he refused to do it and left! The LG liaison doesnt actually work for LG and had been very nice. He said his boss would be calling us but later in the day when we hadnt heard from him we texted him. He told us he totally apologized and understood our frustration. He said his best suggestion is for us to contact LG!!! So were back to square one! Its been 4 weeks without a refrigerator and were beyond frustrated. There is a serious problem with LG repair services!

Shame on you, LG for being so big and creating a problem you clearly knew about and do nothing for the customers who made you who you are! I hope that some lawyer who owns one will see this forum and take you on. Ill be glad to display my findings with 1080p HQ video and 18 gig pictures with a bag full of what I find growing in my $2,000 fungus-growing washer that you built. P.S. In late June 2017 I purchased the fridge (LG 620L french door - GF-B620PL) from The Good Guys - Brighton and it was delivered late September 2017. First Service - the door of the fridge did not close well and when it did it did very loudly. The serviceman said it was a part was missing from the door. Did not hear for a while so got in touch and said it needed to be ordered. Second Service- (serviceman Steve) - initially said did not need part but then changed his mind and said it did. He sent a message saying part was not available and that fridge did not need part (even both said did). Door still banging closed. Third Service - Freezer section was icing. Man came out and said the drawer rollers needed replacing as door of freezer did not close well and that temperature was too high Put down to 13. Fourth Service - Came back and replaced rollers. Fifth Service - All food in the freezer section had melted (thrown out). Asked why did not alert as was told if door nearly closed there is no alert. He also said temperature was too low and put it up to 18 and that we should check fridge regularly. I am very disappointed with LG service as we get mixed messages and I only got this fridge because reviews were good. I understand that there could be a bad apple in the millions made and can accept and asked to get replacement but response has not great. I have been very patient, I did not ask or claim for damaged food and accept that bad apples exist but I am not happy with the service and response I have been getting. LG customer service did reply and were abrupt and said they were happy what they did and that was it. No apology or was I happy! (Must of missed customer service lesson 101!) NEVER LG AGAIN!

Why do I need have to spend $500 plus dollars on parts on an appliance that is only 3 years old?I have a Whirlpool refrigerator in my garage that sits out in the heat and has been out there for 15 plus years and I bought it used... And it still works. If they are so confident in their products, make them last for more than 3 years. Im upset that this happened but if they carried a warranty that replaced and/or fixed my problems, it would not be as bad. But when I call and to get my refrigerator fixed, its a like buying a new one all over again. Like I said, this will be my last LG product I will ever buy.

The LG refrigerator drawer broke, while the delivery man was still here. It was replaced, but after that, the whole thing started falling apart. The French door shelving falls out frequently, and things hit the kitchen floor. Half of the shelves have broken off, and are not fixable. The meat and both the vegetable drawers have had the clear plastic front break out, and the rollers break off. The meat drawer casing is cracked on the top. The icemaker overflows, and ice flies across the kitchen floor. The light overheats, and the light bulb cover warped from heat, then fell off. The magnetic door seals are floppy and poorly designed, so the fridge has to be closed a special way, to keep it from beeping, and letting me know the doors are improperly closed. All of this happened in the first year. After hours and hours, on the phone with LG, for a couple of weeks, someone finally approved a temporary extension of warranty, and we had the drawer rollers, magnetic door seals, and ice maker fixed. They all broke again within a few weeks.

I have come home with my house filled with gas because the knobs were brushed by when leaving. A good service tech came to my home and said LG does not have a fix for this currently. Used broiler one time. Noticed the knobs looked as if they were melting. Called customer service. I asked if there was a recall. They know, they said they were sending a set of new knobs at no charge. Called over a week later. They said it was denied. I did not receive a reject letter or call from LG. Filed a complaint with them on the phone. Receive a complaint number. Filed another complaint on line today and on this web site I agree there should be a recall for the stove knobs or a way of fixing the problem.

I received an LG front load washer at 12 noon today. I did the first load which spewed soapy water on the floor. I did subsequent small loads with no overflow. The dispensers retain clear water after cycle completed. I contacted LG to question why the water remains in the dispensers and why the overflow. I was informed that I used too much soap which caused the overflow. This is my second LG, and I am no dummy. I know how to fill the soap dispenser to the normal or max levels using HE products. The response from LG is We only recommend 2 tbs for a big load. I measured the amount of liquid to fill to the normal mark which is 5 tbs and to the max level which is 7 tbs.I explained this to the LG rep and the response was, We have already sent this numerous times to the designers. WHAT??? They know about the problem, continue to produce the product using the same improper guides in the manual and intuitively, the consumer follows the dispenser level marks and provide no ALERT to consumer!!! Of course, I still needed to know about the clear water remaining in the dispensers. That is normal. The dispenser dispenses by overfilling the drawer, that is shy there is water remaining at the end. Of course! We all want stagnated water to sit in the drawer possibly turning moldy and smelly to be dispensed into the next load of wash! I am absolutely incredulous! How can a manufacturer possibly continue to produce and sell such a subpar product? I was pleased with my last LG that performed well for 6 years and recently started to overflow and would not pump the water adequately out of the washer. Not wanting to put money into repairs, I foolishly elected to purchase a new and improved LG washer. What kind of fool am I?
