Purchased a new LG French Door Refrigerator, over $3,500.00 with water and ice dispenser on the door. Refrigerator is only a few years old and I am working on my second service call. Cooling stopped working, freezer stopping working, ice cubes stored in the door melted and ran through the door and all over my floor. My freezer drawer was completely full and all frozen food unthawed, what a mess! All contents of the main refrigerator had to be thrown out. Services calls, replacing parts and replacing the lost food turns into an expensive venture. Extremely disappointed that manufacturers are unable to produce quality appliances in todays world. I am certain Quality Control does not exist at LG. They know how to assess a price tag and take the consumers money!

I bought this very top of the line energy efficient LG washer and dryer for over $2,500. I wanted to be environmentally considerate. But now I have to wash my cloth 2 or 3 times to get them clean. The washer does not allow enough water to the cloth to get them even fully wet. The sports clothes of my teenager still smells bad after 2 wash. When I called the company they send out a technician that did literally nothing but read the error codes to someone over the phone and then told me that the machines are not meant to give water to get the cloth soaked and hence my cloth cannot get clean! If it bothers me that much I should consider buying a top loader that will allow enough water to get into machine to actually wash my cloth. I dont even want to start talking about the washer bouncing around and not getting balanced. I had someone 3 times here to try to balance the machine so it does not make all this noise but then was told that my floor is not leveled and this is the best they can do. This is the worst machine ever and I feel I was ripped off! NEVER again a LG in my house!

Ice had a bad taste and when delivered the guys replaced the water line to the refrigerator. This is causing the problem. The LG service guy said he could not replace the line. Now if I want it fixed Id have to call a plumber. There was nothing wrong with the copper line they replaced but now we cannot use the ice maker. Makes no sense--the delivery setup guys should have never replaced that line.

I purchased an LG electric oven range only four years ago. After 2 year two of the burners gave out. After calling customer service; they came over, charged me $250.00 and replaced control panel. This was without any diagnosis. Exactly one year later the burner gave out again. After calling their customer service and talking with technician, they offered another service call and replacement for $250.00. Their reason there is only 90 days guarantee on the parts. Very unfriendly and not willing to accept the an oven and the part that is replaced by them should last longer than one year. They offered I can purchase their warranty for $450.00 and the warranty lasts for one year. It is like their only reason is to ask for more money from consumers without making sure they are happy with the product.

In my opinion, LG is a brand that incline as far as technology. I trust them to use the most up to date equipment when putting their products together. But in my opinion the initial cost of the refrigerator was a bit pricey. Over 700 dollars was a bit out of my price range for what came with the product. There was no ice machine. And the space made for the freezer was considerably small for the price. To me it should have at least came with a ice maker. Even though a bit pricey, I am overall satisfied with my purchase. My last refrigerator was a complete joy. It worked extremely well and never gave me any electrical issues. All food stored were kept at the proper temperature and never spoiled. I would definitely recommend.

I bought the washer and dryer three years ago. Six months after the purchase the hot water stopped going into the washer so I just washed with cold. I had two techs check out this machine. One couldnt figure out what was wrong and the second told me I need a whole control panel. That was to the tune of $400.00 plus service call. Now you are wondering why I didnt get this cared for during the first six months. Well I had brain surgery and even had to learn to walk again so that washer was not my priority at that time. Guess Ill continue with cold water. Never again!!!

We purchased our LG side by side refrigerator in September 2007. We have experienced problems with the ice maker which finally had to be replaced. Problems with the compressor and the controls on the front panel will freeze up and the only way to reset them is to pull the refrigerator out and unplug it. Sometimes this works sometimes it doesnt. It has always been loud but now it is unbearably loud. Visitors ask us What is making so much noise in your house? and we make sure they know it is our lousy LG refrigerator. Bottom line - DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON LG.

LG High Efficiency Front load Dryer - I read through the complaints and have the same problem as many others. The only difference is my issue didnt happen right away. Ive had it a few years and recently it started making loud noises. I do OK with simple home repair so I opened the unit and found that the barrel was warped from a huge crack in the back seam that I couldnt see from the inside. Also over the agitators inside machine will start to develop a gap inside the barrel causing cloths to get stuck and twisted up ruining them. They also will trap change and other small items inside the agitators then make that noise as well. Why we cant have the old american made products again? Miss that.

I bought top-of-the-line LG kitchen appliances. I have had the repairman out on each 3 to 5 times. I had the standing range replaced because it turned on and locked down itself. The microwave has been repaired so many times that it cant be repaired again as the mount has been compromised. So I live with it not working. It seems they didnt properly seal it and moisture from cooking takes out the electronics. Life is not good with LG; it is ghastly! The worst part is, no one cares.

The features that I like about the refrigerator is the finish, the size, the overall design, it also has large storage drawers and also has a large freezer to make it easy to organize your frozen foods. I would like to see a more variety of colors and finishes and more unique and innovative features that no other brand has and app to control the temperature of your refrigerator and a ice and water dispenser that can be controlled by an app as well. I choose the LG brand because the brand has been around for a long time. They are a high quality brand. They make a variety of durable and unique products. Their products have a unique and stylish design and are easy to use and lasts a long time.

After having several service calls on my LG washer and dryer and dealing unsuccessfully with the Executive Services Department at LG, we have filed a claim with the Pennsylvania Attorney Generals Office and would encourage others who are experiencing issues with their LG equipment to do the same. As this blog is a great way to relieve some stress, it is not going to provide any long-term relief to us consumers experiencing issues with LG products. It is truly time to let our elected officials perform their duties on our behalf.

Newer LG stainless steel dishwasher came with home we purchased 2011. Had to fix after two months of move in. It wasnt draining. Fixed then it had to be fixed. A few months after that, it wouldnt turn on. It has constant mold problem. I ran with bleach, I wipe between rubber molding inside where mold is with bleach, run vinegar cycle clean. Find mold on cups and mold grew all over wood handle item. Some rust on inside sides, 2 hour run time. Power button is way too sensitive, starts on own as bumping against it starts it. Also the tines on bottom rack are so close that front part bottom rack is unusable and top rack doesnt hold glasses well, had several glasses break. Bad design all around, bottom rack is very low to floor. I would never buy an LG dishwasher.

I have an LG refrigerator (model LFX25974, less than 2 years old) that after 3 hours of diagnostics probably needs a new compressor. Working with the service representatives who are located in the Philippines is a nightmare. You cannot reply to any e-mails and so you never know if your problem has been totally solved. My 83 year old mother purchased an LG refrigerator about 2 years ago. She’s on a fixed income, so this was a significant purchase for her. I advised her to purchase the extended warranty for peace of mind in case something happened. What a joke. The refrigerator stopped cooling—freezer too. We called the repair number on her extended warranty & were told that the soonest they could get a repair technician out was over 9 days away. Well, not ideal, but we figured we could figure out how to make it work. The tech called to confirm the appointment & informed us he had ordered a new compressor to be shipped to her house because “they go out all the time.” Wow. That inspires confidence in the product. The repair day came and went without a tech showing up. When we called to inquire why the no-show & were rudely told that we were supposed to call when we received the parts. Well we saved the voicemail from the tech and there was NO mention of calling when the parts arrived. So they rescheduled the appointment, and again, the soonest available was a week away. The appointment was supposed to be from 1-5. We confirmed this for the 3 days leading up to the appointment. Yes, they assured us, the tech will be there between 1&5. Guess what? Again, no tech, it’s a Friday and the office closed at 5, so no help.Fed up, I called a local repair company. They were able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning. So I call LG to see if they will at least cover the labor for the repair. I’m told that because I didn’t use their “approved” vendor that they won’t cover the repair. Seriously? Clearly the LG refrigerators have a known issue with the compressor going out, but unless you use their “approved” vendor, you are out of luck. After over 7 hours of calls to LG customer service I was finally able to get ahold of the Executive team. Supposedly the approved vendor will be out tomorrow between 1&5. Yeah, heard that before. Fingers crossed they actually show up this time. One way or another, I will NEVER purchase an LG ANYTHING and I will advise EVERYONE I know to do the same. Worst customer service EVER.

Initially the LG double oven and 5 burner stove top looked amazing. It did just what we wanted it to do during the holidays. The super boiler burner is great. The double oven did everything we needed for the holiday dinners. The only problem is the burners turn on (Gas) with the least amount of pressure on the knobs. Other reviews have express the same danger and LG does not have a fix according to other reviews. I went to my local hardware store and bought springs that I cut to length and placed them behind the knobs to provide the need for more pressure to activate the ignition. Its a matter of time before clothing or other items get caught on fire. Especially with the Super Boiler burner.

After owning my top load LG washing machine for 4 years, I began getting the UE message on every wash that the unit was off balance. Should have started reading all the previous complaints... well I didnt. Then on Jan. 7, 2017 I received the LE message and the unit stopped working all together and smelling like it was on fire inside. I called the LG customer service where I was told I was out of warranty that they could sell me a one time fix for $305, this would include a technician coming out diagnosing the issue and all parts and labor. I paid for it, the first repairman came (1/13/17) he unplugged the machine, pressed start and then power for 10 seconds each, plugged it back in and told my husband it was fixed... NOT... I called back, they told me they would send a new technician. He came out on 1/16/17 and said the issue was UNDER WARRANTY (10 year warranty on motor) and the motor is SHOT. He would order the parts and come back out... when... he didnt know. Today is 1/30/17 and after speaking to the repairman who is STILL waiting to get the parts from LG... I spent ONE AND 1/2 HOUR on HOLD with LG and got NO RESPONSE... THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN HELL GET THE PARTS. Im at my wits end and just want to get my $305 back and go buy a new machine. And guess what, its only a year and a half old. Last failure date - 6/29/17 just before the fourth of July weekend. So now we have to scramble to get some refrigeration. We spend $500.00 on a basic GE to get us buy until I decide what to do with the piece of crap LG that looms in our computer room like some piece of artwork! Please when purchasing a LG product make sure you look at the warranty. I have owned 2 LG products. First was a dishwasher the second is a refrigerator. Both of these products had issues that should be covered under LG warranty and LG has fought me on both warranty claims. The first was the dishwasher. When I called in for a warranty claim I was told LG could not warranty it as I did not have the original purchase receipt. Even though the Model and Serial Number on my dishwasher noted it was under warranty they would not honor their warranty. At that time I did not realize I could have fought it so I purchased a new dishwasher (that was not LG).Now in 2020 my fridge stopped working. It is the compressor. My fridge is still under warranty and the compressor should be mailed to my home. LG is making me jump through hoops to get the compressor mailed so my fridge can be fixed. LG will not send me the product without talking to my technician. In saying that I have supplied LG with my technician’s contact information and LG has told me that they have reached out to my technician to authorize the part. My technician as received NO authorization request. When I reached out to LG to note my technician had not received and email I was then told it would take 3-5 business days to contact him. I feel that LG has no right to authorize my technician in order to send me the part. Today there are so many clever people that can fix their own appliances. If I was a handy person and was able to fix my own LG fridge, LG would not send the part directly to me as I am not a technician. I think this is very unethical. The fridges compressor does not work it is under warranty, LG should mail the part without question. So at this point I am going on 15 days without refrigerator. LG will not send me the part even though I own the fridge and it is under warranty. They have supposedly contacted my technician but at this point he has not been contacted. I just wanted to let everyone know what I am going through so that when you purchase any major appliance consider purchasing one that has a better track record at honoring their warranty. If you do purchase an LG appliance at least now you are well aware that they will make you jump through hoops and likely not going to honor the warranty on that appliance. It would be better to find a company that is willing to honor their warranty even if it costs more.

We bought our LG front load model WM2487HRM in 2008 and about 6 months after, it started shaking so bad that our whole house would shake. My husband put some vibration pads under the feet and these seem to help for a long time. However, the mold and regular cleaning has been terrible. In the last year, we have been using only the low spin with only using light loads. This seems to elevate the washer moving a foot, however, it now moves about a foot with all three. The low spin, only putting in half load or less with the pads under the feet as well. There are other problems too. The washer will leak from the front. The washer will sometimes not get the soap into the drum. We have tried all of these options because the set cost $3,200.00, which is ridiculous considering our problems. It will cost $800.00 to $1,200.00 to fix and at this point, we will wait and buy another. But not the same brand.

I purchased an LG refrigerator in March 2015 (Model#LFXS29766S). After about 2.5 years of use, the compressor malfunctioned and it took me over a month of countless calls and emails to finally get LG to service the fridge in December 2017. I advised LG that my parents are elderly and did not have another option to store their food. LG customer representatives showed no empathy or sympathy regarding our situation. They ruined our thanksgiving and we had to throw hundreds of dollars worth of food out. Fast forward to today, 8/25/2020, and the same issue has occurred again and the refrigerator is no longer functioning (will not keep cool and everything has melted in the freezer). A $2800 appliance should not break down twice in 5 years! I am aware that there is a known issue with the LG linear compressor and of a class action lawsuit. I called LG customer service for assistance and was appalled at the unprofessional behavior. The representative had an accent and when I asked him to repeat what he said because I didn’t understand, he said, “you didn’t understand me because you’re not listening”. The rep then asked me to hold but as it had been a while I asked if he was still on the line to which he responded, “I told you to hold so just hold”. The rep then gave me a phone number for a service center but never explained anything or why he was doing so. He then proceeded to hang up without asking me if I had any questions or needed additional assistance. I advised him that I had additional questions and when I inquired about the warranty the rep advised me that the labor is not covered but the part might be but we would need to have a certified LG technician check the appliance first. I’ve worked in the healthcare field for over 20 years and spent a majority of that time in patient facing and customer service roles and would never expect this of any company- it is completely unacceptable! LG’s complete disregard for its customers is not surprising given my first interaction with their company and now hopefully for the last time. I will be contacting a lawyer, spreading awareness on social media platforms, and will reach out to my local news channel to share thus horrendous experience.

I’ve had my refrigerator for 9 years, the ice maker quit working within a couple years, now the compressor is out. It’s been out for 6 weeks, it’s still under warranty. I’ve been told that they don’t last over 10 years. I’ve been in contact with LG several times in the last 6 was. Every time I call I get a different excuse why they haven’t sent the confirmation letter to get it fixed, total run around. First they told me they sent it, a lie, all I’m getting is lies. I’ve lost everything in my freezer. Very, very poor service. If you’re going to make and sell then you should stand behind it. NEVER again will I buy an LG product and I’m telling everyone I know. Now they tell me it going to be at least another 7-10 days.

We went with a larger cubic footage from the builders model. LG purchased through Costco, so you are backed by the best, if there is a problem. Great freezer space and interior flexibility of shelves in the refrigerator section. Extra storage area for frequently used items, milk, water, condiments is a great add on.

I bought a LG washer and Dryer, paid 2100.00 only to find I bought the worst products ever. I have contacted not only Home Depot but LG directly. I have emailed pictures to LG only to be told I did service my washer machine. How do you service a washer machine for rust? LG notified me to contact Home Depot for them to fix it or just buy spray paint to cover the rust. Home Depot stated it is a defect, that LG needs to repair it if not replace it due to defect product. After making numerous calls, I have come to the point neither stands by their product. This isnt a cosmetic issue. It is called junk defected product. Anyone looking to buy anything from LG dont do it. There is better out there. I will be taking this to every new station, Facebook and etc to get the word out to the public.

We bought a new LG Top Load Washer and it started to leak water from the bottom. I called LG because it was under the manufacture warranty. We have had the repair people out 5x already and each time they have failed to fix the issue. I have called LG several times to explain that is has been a MONTH with no washer and that I have an immuno-compromised child that needs clean clothes. I cannot bring the clothes somewhere to do them because they could become contaminated and make my child sick. LG customer service has not been any help in resolving the issue. They continue to say that they will send the repair people out again and will not replace the machine. If the repair people could not fix it in 5 tries and a month later, then LG needs to replace the lemon of a washer they manufactured. I have a sick child and they have no consideration for that. I called Home Depot where I bought the machine and an extended warranty, but they cannot do anything because they have to wait until the manufacturers warranty runs out! I will never buy any LG products again!

LG is not a brand I would recommend to anyone. After being on hold for quite some time and passed to 4 different departments, all by accident, when all I want is help with a washer issue that is a known issue. Apparently the unit we purchased, a top loader inverter has issues with drainage after a short period of time. The washer is unbearably smelly. Water seems to stay in the plastic tub instead of draining. After going thru the manual and reading all the complaints online after the fact, we have not found a solution for a practically new washer. Oh, and our purchase records are apparently lost. So of course their only solution is to contact service and pay to have their known issue fixed. I will never purchase LG again. Have not had issues with other vendors like I have had with this one. If anyone has seen this issue and corrected, I would love to hear your solution.

We purchased this washer from Lowes late June 2015. I could not believe this washer was doing such a poor job and tried different things to make it work: smaller loads, bigger loads, use of different programs, temperatures, detergents, use of Laundry+System, loading in a way that would leave an empty space above the core of the machine... By the time I was finished trying anything I could think of, the 30 days I had to return the washer were gone and I had to keep this totally inefficient machine. This item has been nothing but a perpetual frustration. It rinses clothes with soap, it does not wash. We have two little ones and any food or material sticking to fabric turns in a wet gooey texture that get intertwined in the fabric, becomes very hard once dried and impossible to remove. Adult clothes are not washed better. I never had such bad whites, even using chlorine. I regret having purchased this machine. I regret even more having tried to make it work. With 4 to 6 loads a week, its a permanent frustration.

Worst. Dishwasher. Ever. The tines collapse. The tines are too short and spaced poorly so the plates flop over and dont get clean. Dishes chip. The dishwasher rack derails because the rack is a little too narrow and the rollers arent wide enough to stay on the rail. It derails constantly. Then I have to try to lug a heavy rack back onto the rails and then it derails in the other direction. Detergent door doesnt click into place. Dishes often do not get clean. Purple plastic pieces holding the adjustable tines pop off and rows of tines fall into the dishwasher bottom. The pump has failed 4 or 5 times in 3 years, either blocked or defective. I made repeated, polite complaints to the company when problems persisted past the warranty period. LG DOESNT BACK THEIR PRODUCT! I paid $899 and Im replacing it with a Bosch that costs half of that. I hate this dishwasher! No, I really hate this dishwasher! (It gets one star because I cant give it negative 5 stars.)

The force of the explosion was so intense that it smashed the near by window and sent shrapnel flying throughout the house. I contacted LG and asked why are these machines still in family homes. They need to be urgently recalled. After research I have found the same LG washing machines that have exploded in other people’s home. LG refuse to even replace the machine even with a receipt provided. These machines are dangerous. Please Beware when purchasing a LG washing machine. They are dangerous. I’m very thankful that I wasn’t standing in front of it at the time or my young grandchildren weren’t in the house. We purchased a new French Door Counter Depth LG refrigerator when we moved into our new home in April 2016. Within the first year, it stopped cooling. I called LG and requested a new refrigerator. I also called Best Buy where we purchased the refrigerator to see if they could do anything. They said because we didn’t buy their extended warranty, they could do nothing. LG sent a technician but it took over a week to get repaired. We lost all refrigerated items. After the first repair, it failed again and took a while to get a repair technician. We lost another refrigerator full of food. Shortly, it failed again within the first year. I again requested a new refrigerator. LG sent two different technicians, who worked on the refrigerator for about 5 hours, taking everything apart. I did not have any confidence that it would not fail again. In August 2019, it failed again. I called LG, who gave me a list of authorized technicians. We could not deal with more repairs, failures or lost food so we purchased a new different refrigerator. I would never recommend an LG product after our experience.

I purchased a top of the line three thousand dollar plus refrigerator in February 2014. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. All of the lights work and all of the lights, indicator lights on the door panel work as well. I was away for the day and arrived home late in the evening so I did not go into or look at the refrigerator. The following morning, I noticed water dripping from the water and ice dispenser only to realize that everything in the refrigerator and the freezer defrosted and reach temperatures causing everything to spoil. I immediately contacted LG and they ran an over the phone diagnostic only to tell me that the unit was not operating properly. I could have told them that. When I said that I live in Arizona in a rural area and need emergency assistance, they stated they could not get anyone out to be for the next 4 to 5 days. How am I supposed to live without a refrigerator? They also told me that they hold no responsibility for all of the ruined food. This unit is still under warranty but that does help my situation as their commitment to service in unacceptable. When I went to purchase this top of the line unit, I was told by some folks not to buy an LG refrigerator as two separate folks stated they own LG fridge and have had nothing but problems. When I researched the reviews on this fridge, it received high marks. Taking that into consideration and the fact that the two folks who had problems with their units had them for over two years, I figured that LG made the necessary improvements to their refrigerator so I went ahead with the purchase. In summary: I will never again buy any LG product. I will never recommend an LG product and I will inform whom ever I know to stay away from LG no matter what the reviews state as I am not confident that they are authentic.

The look of the refrigerator was pleasing. Particularly liked the ability to get both water and several types of ice from the door. I also thought the look of the refrigerator was appealing. The way the freezer was designed was horrible though. There was not enough room and the drawer was very flimsy. Likewise, it was difficult to share, like in a roommate situation. But liked the way it was designed with a gun metal-like sheen to it. It was extremely deep and didnt look like it would be hard for a short person to make use of the shelves.

I upgraded kitchen appliances provided by my builder 4 years ago & thought I was purchasing quality along with customer service by purchasing the Sears Kenmore Elite manufactured by LG. In 2018, the compressor on the refrigerator went out and it took Sears almost two months to replace. In July, 2019 unit started getting hot; Sears repair service came out, worked from 7pm till 9:45 and said they repaired the unit but the next morning it was still not cooling or freezing. Ive had multiple food loss with no customer satisfaction of reimbursement. Ive called multiple appliance repair companies and all have said they choose not to service appliances MFG by LG because of poor workmanship! I am so disappointed because Ive work too hard to just donate to a mega companys bottom line. At this point I cant recommend any LG product based on my experience. After writing this Im still without refrigeration & no customer satisfaction!!!

I purchased an the 22 Cu. Ft. French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator. Delivery was delayed 17 days. I moved to a new state where I know no one! 17 days of eating out during Covid times was challenging and expensive. I asked LG for an inconvenience fee and was offered $25! I said no. Then I was offered $50, then $75. I refused all offers. I was spending $30-$50 a day in eating out which cost me over $800! I asked to speak to a manager, who after one week of waiting, never called. I spent countless hours waiting on hold with LG customer service. The last attempt today I spoke with Tim who actually argued with me. He insisted that LG will not give more than $75. I work in customer service and call centers so I know what they are allowed to offer and say. Tim was more than rude and had zero understanding nor care of my situation. He continually cut me off when I was speaking! Who does he think he is?I love my fridge, but the customer service at LG needs a full revamp! I hope the call was recorded because Tim should be fired for how he spoke to me. Apparently a manager is supposed to contact me.... This is the 2nd time Ive heard that. Well see. LG has not heard the last of me. Im now even more angry with how I have been treated. After 17 days with no fridge and now 2 weeks of waiting on hold with LG....unbelievable!

Or if there is a space behind that is not solid (I have no idea) but this ABSOLUTELY WAS NOT done by us. We take VERY good care of our stuff... My mother had a fridge that basically did this same thing over time. When I called LG they said it is cosmetic and they will not help me. My LG LRE3083ST Electric Range worked flawlessly for the first year. Then the controls quit functioning properly. It was intermittent at first. Sometimes I had to reset the circuit breaker to turn off the oven. Then the stove top controls failed. I could turn on only the rear burners. I contacted LG customer service thru their website. The reporting process was cumbersome, but LG agreed to send a repairman out to fix it. The repair seemed to be good. The oven and stovetop both worked. That was 6 weeks ago. This past weekend the stove top controls failed again. Today I contacted LG. This time by phone. The customer service person was friendly, but after conferring with others there, she politely told me that any future repairs would be on me. I have been an LG television and appliance owner for over 10 years. I have never had an LG appliance fail so miserably. This problem is likely a quality control problem, but LG does not acknowledge that. The control boards that the repairman installed in January failed before the end of February. The boards must be defective. My respect for LG just took a big hit. I will no longer recommend the products and will consider other alternatives when I replace my 15-month-old range. I will not pay to repair it because it will probably fail again.

We purchased the LG front loading washing machine four years ago. It does vibrate but not like a Bronco. It does smell sometimes but we bleach out the machine once a month or so. It does not clean our clothes very well. I have to soak my shirts and pants in a water/ammonia solution before putting them in the washer to get a start on cleaning them properly. I guess if we use high-powered stink detergent, we would not notice a not quite clean smell of freshly laundered clothes, but we dont want artificial stink on our clothes. When my mother sells her house, Im going to trade our inadequate machine for her 15-year old Maytag top loader with the suds saver. We would warn anyone about purchasing this washer. I have had 2 service calls and still not fixed. I have missed work for each visit, which thought would take care of the problem and be able to use the washer, month plus later.. Im still waiting for this unit to be fixed. LG is a name brand and it should be out of service this long without getting the washer replaced. I can understand if it were couple years old but this unit is barely over a year old. With all these problems this washer was a lemon from the get go and has never worked properly. When I purchased my first BRAND new washer, I did research and bought top of the line or so I thought I did. This has been huge disappointment and LG service center has been disappointment as well. This should have been replaced with a new one. As a single mother and live from pay to pay, this was a big purchase for me. Time and money and loss work time is VERY FRUSTRATING AND UPSETTING! I wish to buy the matching dryer but now Im considering different brand! Our LG refrigerator is only 18 months old and has broken down three times.
Our LG refrigerator is only 18 months old and has broken down three times. The first time, LG repaired within the first year. Second time occurred three weeks ago. The warranty company contracted a local appliance repair company to come out. They came out and diagnosed the issue, then said they needed to order a new compressor and should take three to five days. On day three, I call the company to find out status of compressor. They indicate it had not yet arrived. I call every day after that for another week and could not get anyone to answer the phone. My wife and I are both professionals and do not have time to deal with a fridge company. On day eleven or so, I file a complaint on Better Business Bureau website. Less than twenty minutes later, I get a call. Company comes out to install the new compressor a day later. Repair guy says it is fixed and leaves. Later that day, I again noticed the fridge was not working. Fridge is still broken!!! Now another lost work day and more time on the phone and internet wasting my time dealing with a terrible LG Product! There has to be legal recourse with so many complaints. I bet the majority of us have the same model. LG needs to be held accountable for selling a $2500 piece of junk!

LG Ultra Capacity WM2101HW Washer Garbage. I purchased this LG washer based upon the reviews of Consumer Reports - BIG MISTAKE. This washer has been loud from day 1 and started leaking about 4 months later. As others have said it unbalances and gives error codes often. I had it repaired once because it stopped draining. A technician visit and parts cost $400 -- that is when I learned that you actually have to drain it yourself. Who designs such a washer in this day and age? Now brown liquid is coming out of the back of the machine and my clothes and sheets smell like sewer after they have been through a complete cycle. Had been noticing small (and some large too) particles on my clothes. Blamed it on everything else except the washing machine. Read book and was instructed to clean tub with bleach or a tub clean. Cleaned it and the large particles became small particles. In the beginning I rewashed everything which didnt help. So now I have to shake the clothes outside, rinse and spin again, put in dryer and shake clothes outside or pick or roll off the particles. Have to be very careful when clothing is wet because the particle will smear and leave a mark on the clothes. Does not clean the clothes as well either. I called company and was given foreign representative who read from a script saying to set the washer on a certain number she gave me and put phone near the machine. She said it is okay and had no error codes. Spoke to another person who said to have someone come in to check it. When reading the website about this machine, it has the identical problem with many other consumers. One person described the problem as having a can of Pepsi explode in machine. Many have had techs come to fix with no such help to the problem, just a large bill to pay. This is sad. I have a top loader bought in 2015. The front loaders appear to also have a smell which I seemed to combat with the bleach and leaving the top open. It is indescribable and I do intend to write to the State Attorney General as this does not seem to be something that should happen with a brand new machine and the company takes no responsibility for the problem. Too many consumers have this problem. I could go on but I get extremely upset and my daughter bought in 2016 a front loader and Im sure it will happen to her. My husband researched on computer and we have to try to get more of these particles dissolved which we are going to try with vinegar. Bleach breaks up the sediment which you cannot see but the vinegar supposedly dissolves it. I am 69 years old and have never had such a problem with a washing machine. This is a disgrace!!!

I thought I made a good deal on my washer top loader but it was just awful. Ive been with a washer that Sears has replaced practically every part on washer. The brand is a horrible gone wrong. Sears should of replaced on the 3rd time washer broke down and I should of given a new washer with a better brand for washer? Defect with time? Im a customer over 45 years and I shouldnt have been taken care of.

RUST at the metal lips where the detergents are poured. I noticed some rust under the plastic cover where the detergent is poured and decided to take out the four screws and check where the plastic meets the metal. IT WAS ALL RUSTED. The instruction manual does not require that the four screws be taken out for cleaning. The manual requires cleaning of the plastic area so that the dispensers work well, which we did. I reported this to LG with the pictures that I am sharing. They asked me if I use corrosive materials like bleach. Of course we do and the dispenser has a location where to apply the bleach. This unit is not heavily used (3 people), well cleaned and maintained (I am an engineer). It is no longer under warranty and LG said that it is cosmetic. I disagree because pieces of the rust are getting into our laundry as the washer vibrates. Check out the photos and decide.

My LG has been very reliable for 9 years. I love having the freezer at the bottom with the double refrigerator doors at the top. The ONLY design feature I don’t like at all is the temp controlled drawer that goes across the full width of the refrigerator. In order to use that drawer you have to open both doors. Would much prefer 2 smaller drawers accessible individually from each side.

I paid over 1,500.00 for a LG refrigerator LFC23760ST just three years ago. Its the last time I will ever buy LG products again. They carry just a 1 year warranty and will charge me an arm and a leg to replace any parts that I need. The circuit board went out and I was told that its $400 dollars just for the parts to fix it. Why do I need have to spend $500 plus dollars on parts on an appliance that is only 3 years old?I have a Whirlpool refrigerator in my garage that sits out in the heat and has been out there for 15 plus years and I bought it used... And it still works. If they are so confident in their products, make them last for more than 3 years. Im upset that this happened but if they carried a warranty that replaced and/or fixed my problems, it would not be as bad. But when I call and to get my refrigerator fixed, its a like buying a new one all over again. Like I said, this will be my last LG product I will ever buy.

I recently purchased a home wherein all of the appliances were, by receipt, no more than one year to 1 and 1/2 years. I felt that should bring to not have to worry about my appliances. Wrong! My LG refrigerator model LFX31925ST stainless steel 3 door refrigerator was bought by the previous owners in Nov 2016. With no extended warranty the protection in Nov 2017. I purchased the home a few months later and within just a few months both the ice maker and freezer fan stopped functioning. Of course, we are now a little time out of warranty. The expected repair cost actually exceeded the depreciated value of the refrigerator. So now I have dumped this LG fridge with no intention of ever buying a LG product. Buyer beware! New LG refrigerator is a money pit.

We bought an LG French door refrigerator in late 2017 and it worked without too many major issues, until October of 2020. In October, it suddenly stopped cooling. We called LG to have repairs made under the 3 year warranty. After many delays, they found a repair company in our area to come out to do the repair. They said it was the compressor, ordered a new one and replaced it. The refrigerator still doesnt work. We have been without a refrigerator now for over two months (for a four person household). I have called LG nearly every day, for the past 6 weeks. I have been elevated to the Executive Service response team. What a joke. I receive a different answer every time I call. After about a month of trying to find an authorized repair person to look at the refrigerator again, LG finally agreed to simply submit a claim for Alternate resolution; i.e. replacing the refrigerator. The claim has been submitted now at least 4 times; there is still no decision on whether or not they will honor our warranty. Every time I call (nearly every day now) I am provided with another excuse as to why there is no decision. This has been the worst consumer experience of my life.

We purchased the LG gas range through Costco in October of 2017. Purchase through Costco extends the one year warranty to 2 years and using the Costco CitiCard for the purchase extends the warranty for two more years. We began having problems with the range in 2018. When we would turn the oven on we thought there was a smell of propane - this gradually became worse and worse. We noticed it a great deal when attempting to use the Easy Clean function - the burner would not light and the oven would not function during that process. Then we began to notice a problem every time we turned the oven on. We had the propane company come out and check the tank and flow regulator and everything checked out okay. We contacted LG and after some back and forth and delays the sent a local repair company out in November of 2018. The repair person checked the oven and felt there was a problem with the oven getting the proper amount of air to light. LG support told the repairman they would send an oven valve. That repair was not done until the middle of January 2019. I was told initially by LG to absolutely not use the oven until it was repaired. That meant we went through Thanksgiving and Christmas without being able to use the oven. In between all of this, the owner of the propane company came out and checked the gas flow to the oven since LG was saying they felt the problem could be the propane flow. The propane company did a water column test on the propane from the pipe to the stove and it was perfect. We began using the oven again and gradually problems began once again until one morning when my husband turned the oven on and the house filled with gas. We rushed around opening all of the windows and turning on fans even though it was a cold morning. This time I not only contacted LG but also contacted Costco concierge. Once again the repair person came out and inspected. He said when the oven is on there is a really bad metallic burning smell and it wasnt lighting properly. He once again had to wait for LG to send repair parts which he replaced as instructed. After completing the repairs the oven was still not lighting properly and was shooting gas. He made several attempts to get it working. The only way the gas would light was if he put his head into the oven and blew into the convection opening. Yikes! This oven is so not safe! I was very concerned that he might be injured by doing such a thing. Now we are once again in a holding pattern waiting for LG and Costco Concierge to come up with a satisfactory solution. I am fed up with the situation. Not only are we having these problems but this is not a very good range overall. When baking or cooking anything in the oven it is necessary to keep turning the food every few minutes or the back side of the food will be overly browned or burned. The other problem with the oven is there is no shield on the top of the door and if one isnt careful while the oven is open it is very easy to be burned on the leg by the hot metal edge. I havent had a problem with the knobs on the top being bumped and turned on but when I am cleaning the stove top I usually remove those knobs so that I can clean that surface too. The burner parts are pretty junky metal but fortunately, they are removable and with some work, it is possible to get them looking okay. I am noticing some rusted areas on the burner caps which seem to be crummy cast iron but I just scrub it off. On the whole, the range is a lot of work to keep up. We wont even go into the Easy Clean (its a dud) and the regular oven cleaning function is not so great either. Since we now have no idea how much longer this will go on we have purchased a countertop oven to use. We had borrowed one from a neighbor but since this has gone on for far too long we are appreciative of their kindness but dont want to continue borrowing. I feel that LG is just stalling us as long as they possibly can and only hope I can count on Costco to insist they make this right.

My refrigerator (LSXS22423) a side by side is 2 years and 3 months old. Wasnt making ice Sunday and by Monday everything in freezer was thawed. The compressor is shot!! Really... 2 years??? I was told by a person who SELLS LG refrigerators that he wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Their compressors are known to die after about 2 years... Really?? He said even if you wanted to repair it they would use the same compressor model that failed and since so many of them are failing we are looking at a 3 to 4 month wait-list... Really?? I bought a whole new LG kitchen 2 years ago. My fault I did not read the reviews first. Totally my fault, but when you pay $1700 for a fridge you expect more than two years out of it. I had a GE before and had it for 18 years. Still worked when I bought my precious LG. I am a senior who has to watch his money and this situation just makes me sick. I dont deserve this nor do any of the other LG customers who have been screwed. Where is the Quality Control?? It is a crime and you should be ashamed. 2 years... REALLY?? Yeah, really!!!

I called Home Depot they said they could recommend a repair service company but it would be at my expense for this known issue. I have told both Home Depot and LG I will never buy another product from either company again. My recommendation to you is do not give your money to these companies. They will not stand behind what they sell. Help them lose market share and vote at other business with your dollars.

I have been more than satisfied by the performance of this refrigerator brand, for almost 12 years now and its still working. Only this previous days when I notice that it stops performing what it intends to do. As I am an aircon technician myself, I immediately examine the unit and the only problem that I found is the PCB control needs to be replace. Thats all. The last time that I service other LG ref, I can easily bought those parts and, voila, its good as new. But now they change those policy. You cant buy the parts now. They keep on insisting that they will only do repairs, so I keep on wondering - how will they do some repairs for those minute parts of electronics in the PCB & keep the customer waiting for weeks? Are these the way they treat consumer after? So now Im considering to buy another ref. Perhaps as a consumer weve got to stick to the brand from the past for good after sales service even though the appliance is long overdue in service. Ive been with the LG service when its a GOLDSTAR brand name. Its their first brand name when they enter the market and they keep on saying that we need to satisfy & address the consumer needs & complaints for us to be known & admired by... so what now that this is one giant brand name???

We purchased our LG refrigerator 3 years ago and have had two problems with it. A year ago, the valve controlling the drinking water ceased working and it cost us over $200 for the repair from Freds Appliance in Madison, Ohio. A month ago, we noticed a mushroom type growth near the base of the refrigerator and discovered that the water line feeding the drinking water and icemaker had a slit in it and was spraying water on the floor. The flooring is ruined and the repairs, not including the fridge, exceed $1,300. Freds denies any responsibility with the problem even though they are the only ones that have moved the fridge since it was initially installed. In conclusion, the purchase of your product was a terrible mistake and we have difficulty understanding how a company can ignore problems like this.

We purchased an LG refrigerator, microwave and range about 8 years ago, all stainless steel. I have had nothing but problems with each one. A few days after microwave was installed, little dents started to appear on top panel. When I called customer service about this problem, they told me that it must be my fault that the dents are appearing--really??? The range knobs have melted and stripped, so now I have to use a pliers to turn the stove on or off. They did send replacement knobs the first time it happened. Now when I call again because of this defect, they tell I have to purchase them at the tune of several hundred dollars!! And by the way, the supervisor I spoke to was nasty!! The plastic drawers have cracked in the refrigerator and the sliders to slide drawers back and forth are breaking. My husband has duct-taped the inside where it is breaking. We bought an LG LFX31925ST French Door refrigerator in January 2012. It has operated flawlessly. Both my wife and I have frequently commented on what a great purchase this was. We recently observed a periodic error message indicating that a freezer fan was failing. Since I dont expect anything mechanical to run forever, I was happy that the product pointed me to the likely problem with an error message. I was impressed that I was easily able to download owner and repair manuals online, and that part diagrams and the parts themselves were readily available from numerous sources. We ordered the needed part and removing the freezer drawer and replacing the back wall with new sensor and fans was a $100 repair that took 45 minutes at most.We have owned refrigerators in the past that required a new ice maker every year. Our LG ice maker is now more than 5 years old and with daily use still works perfectly. Im sold on LG products. I dont have the receipt anymore, but these are the registration details: Model Number: LFX31925ST. Serial Number: 106KREL0F452. Purchase Date: 01/12/2012.

My experience with LG is good, but since we bought our fridge, about two weeks later, the ice making part freezes. And then something happened where they had to come and change some part on the top of the box that was not making the ice. You press the button, and they wouldn’t come out. They had to change something right after not even a month after we bought. LG always are good because we have a washer and dryer LG. So, when I went to Costco and I saw the refrigerators over there, I liked the way they look. Also, theyre nice because the ice maker was on the door and not inside of the refrigerator. We needed a bigger space refrigerator. This is how I picked mine. I like the way how it’s designed in it. The freezer part of it is great. It has several layers. And the drink drawer is perfect. In 2008 I purchased a four piece kitchen appliance set from LG. Within a year the knobs on the stove started to cracked. I was not aware that there was a recall in 2010 to replace these knobs. Since purchasing this set I have had to replace the dishwasher and the refrigerator as both of them stopped working or begin leaking to the point of repair costing more than replacement. I contacted LG about the knobs recently and they informed me that if I was the original purchaser they would replace the knobs one time for free. After one month of waiting I did not receive the knobs and gave them a call. They then informed me that my request was denied which is why I did not receive the knobs. According to their records my stove was unaffected by this issue. I offered to supply them with pictures of the knobs proving in fact my stove was affected. When we built a custom home two years ago we thought we researched for the best front load washer available for our laundry room at the time. My wife and I decided that Consumer Report would be the best reference point. DO NOT GET LED DOWN THIS PATH. We purchased the Front Load LG WM8000HVA. After a year our clothes started to smell so we ran some cycles with bleach, then vinegar, then AFFRESH. Nothing helped... NOTHING.Just go online and see thousands of reviews for front load washers. I dont think it is just the LG. I think it is a problem for all front loads. My wife has a great nose and with that comes a lot of complaining. On 4/14 I contacted LG Direct Service regarding my refrigerator not cooling. The refrigerator was no longer under warranty so they suggested some local service providers. At this point the service rep offer me a service contract for the unit, explaining that I would have a 60 day service contract for a cost of $365.04 and they would send a technician out to fix the unit on 4/17 between 8:00 am and 12:00. On 4/17 the technician was a no show. I contacted LG Direct Service regarding the matter. That had no answer for me and kept referring me to Assurance, who apparently is a third party to actually held the service contract that I thought I got from LG Direct Services. This whole time I had been dealing directly with LG as implied by the name. In any event, Assurance informed me that he was only service provider in my area, and that they would send another request to him. So I was told now that the technician would be arriving between 8-12:00 on 4/19. LG Provided me with the number of the provider so I attempted to contact him on 4/18 in an effort to confirm the appointment. After numerous attempts with no answer other than a recording with a full mailbox, I contacted LG Direct Service again. I explained that I could not contact the provider and needed to have this appointment confirmed. They attempted to contact the provider but had the same response that I did. After 2 hours of mostly being on hold listen to a recording tell me over and over again that they know how valuable my time is, I am informed that the guy will not be coming tomorrow. He rejected the request for the service. It turns out he rejected the first request for service as well. So the appointment that LG Direct Service told me I had, never even existed. No phone call or e-mail to let me know. So I took off of work for no reason. Had I not called on 4/18, the same thing would have happened. Now LG just keeps trying to pass the buck onto Assurance. LG tells me that the technician that didnt show is the only one they have in my area even though they had already given me the names of three other service providers. The fact is he is the only one that is on the Assurance list of providers. As a result they now say they can no longer repair my refrigerator. So instead of paying $365.04 for the repair it is now going to cost $900. LG totally misrepresented the service contract of actually being an LG product. I have repeatedly asked LG to stand by the contract they sold me and get another authorized repairman to fix it. They have gone so far as to tell me that they dont have anyone who can make the repair in my area. It should be against the law to sell you a product under the representation that it is their product and not a third partys. The only people I spoke with and was invoiced by was LG Direct Service and they should have to make do on the contract and get my refrigerator fixed and not just offer to cancel the contract and return my money and then have to pay more to someone else. Just for the fact that between time off of work and the 4 hrs plus I have spent on the phone with them should be enough to make them want to do right by the customer.

Also when I put in my delicate hiking shirts, they come out with streaks of soak on the outside. This means there is not enough water to properly rinse the clothing. I have tried adding gallons of water by hand, but it doesnt seem to work. Basically, NEVER BUY THE LG BRAND. My husband bought this, but obviously he did not know what he was doing.
