We purchased our refrigerator in August 2016. In February 2019 it stopped freezing and cooling. I called LG and the customer service (800 243 0000) and was scheduled for a service call the following morning. Based on the description of the problem the customer service rep advised there would be no charge for the service call or repair. (She didnt advise why, I didnt ask because I was thrilled after reading the other horror stories on this site.) The technician, Bryan ** called me about 15 minutes after the call to confirm our appointment the following morning and ask me about the problem so that he could ensure he had what he needed on the truck to make the repair. The next morning Bryan called when he was on his way to my house. (Within the time window that was scheduled. Another thing that doesnt happen that often that people actually show up in the time frame they are supposed to.) He began working at 10AM and finished by just after 11AM. He would courteous and very competent in making the repair. It turned out to be a failed/faulty compressor which was replaced with a new one. I already loved the fridge, I am extremely pleased with the customer care by all three LG employees I worked with in this transaction. Thanks!!!

Bought this Washer sometime in 2011 and since about 2 months after we bought it, it has a mold build up around the front gasket! Called LG and they said you have to clean the front gasket and keep it clear every few days or after a few loads as it blocks the drain. We started cleaning the front gasket and kept using the clean drum feature with bleach and still kept building up MOLD. Now I see that other people are having the same problem as me. Thanks LG. Will NEVER buy a LG product again.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator and has had numerous problems with the product. LG trained technicians has visited my house at least twenty visits. I have lost food products countless number of times, lost time off and wages from work and I still have a product that has cost me $27,000 worth of frustrations and disappointments. No one has offered me a replacements, food lost or lost wages nor have anyone ever returned a single phone call. The customer service is simply terrible, the person on the other end of the phone talks to you with little or no respect. I had to tell a gentlemen on the other end, Dont talk to me in that tone of voice. They even told me I had to write a letter to the higher management to further complain for, which made no sense to me when they have my record of complaints in front of them. The refrigerator has had 3 compressors replacements, an ice maker, the entire Freon system w 5 lbs of Freon, the motherboard and God know what else. I can go on and on about my experience with this product but I dont know if it would benefit anyone or even if it will get posted. I can say I wont stop until someone has heard me. Another weekend without a refrigerator!!!

Purchasing LG products is a piece of cake but the quality is awful. My dishwasher already had to have the board replaced within the first year. The compressor of the refrigerator went out completely. We lost our refrigerator and a freezer full of food. And trying to get customer service by phone to help me was ridiculous. The only reason it got fixed as quickly as it did was because I had to complain on LGs Facebook page to get anyone to respond to me. The manager that I spoke with on the phone whenever I called to get the refrigerator repaired was an employee of LG. He was rude and disrespectful. He didnt act like he cared one bit whether or not my refrigerator got fixed or that I was out of a refrigerator for over a month. I will never buy another LG product again and I would not recommend their product to anyone.

LG French door frig purchased in 2007 has main board that was replaced twice in the first year. Then plastic parts crack and fall off door and veg bin holders. In October 2011 lights (120 watts) stay on, melts plastic and ceiling. Coincidentally, a law suit on that one and extended warranty to cover it. We will see. Bought an LG dishwasher at the same time. After 4 major repairs, it is now at the city dump where all these products should be. Wasted money/time repairing it. Spoiled food with light issue, not to mention the fire/burn hazard. Service is inept.

My LG top loading washing machine (WT5101H) is 7 years old and it has never performed well, even after a recall fix. And now, the drum is sitting on the floor under the machine. I live south of Atlanta and there is only one service technician and he is over an hour away. Having one qualified service tech for the entire Atlanta area is absurd! My dishwasher broke down after 5 years - the heating element went out and started leaking water. The ice machine on the refrigerator has failed several times. I spent close to $5000 on these LG appliances and Im so disappointed. Never again.

Gave me the number of LG. Told them my Washer was peeling and rust was falling on my clothes, They told me they do not cover manufacture defects and rust, and it is cosmetic. How can they say it is cosmetic if it is dropping rust on my clothes? They did offer to send out a tech to my house for a charge to order a new piece but I would have to pay for it. I thought LG was better than this and would stand behind their products. Never again will buy an LG product again!

In 2006, my husband and I purchased all new LG appliances from Home Depot and paid for the 4-year extended warranty. We have the WM2077CW washing machine, LFX25960ST French Door Refrigerator, DLG3788W Dryer, LDF6810ST Dishwasher and LRG30355ST Gas Range. We have had problems with every single appliance, have had the extended warranty repairs done on each one, and continue to have problems. The latest is the washer has stopped draining and the drain pump motor is broken. Our warranty expired on 14 Apr 11 and both Home Depot and LG will do nothing. The refrigerator is now leaking water all over our kitchen floor, and the knobs on the gas stove are cracked again--they have been replaced twice already! Please do not purchase anything from LG! I know we should have been worried when the washer broke the first week we got it home, the dishwasher leaked and the refrigerator water dispenser has never worked properly, even after multiple service calls. Even the extended warranty hasnt saved us from having to replace parts that arent covered. I wish we never bought LG, and Home Depot hasnt stood behind them.

We recently purchased an LG gas range. We paid more and got the higher-end model. Like other people have reviewed is very dangerous. You bump into the knobs and the gas leaks out you dont know it happens unless you smell it or you hear the clicking. LG needs to do something about this Dangerous gas oven.I turn the oven on with my pocketbook. I reach up into the microwave. The oven turns on. Its crazy. If you have little children around its very dangerous and you have to remove the knobs. That looks great. Not when you have spent close to $1,500 on the oven. Yesterday I baked cookies with the grandchildren and the cookies in the front were not as cooked as the ones in the back. Thats another problem. I added a photo with three of the knobs off, doesnt that look like **.

I do not understand how your company can recall a washing machine, put a part in the machine and it is still not fixed but yet your company calls it completed. I am not able to wash my childrens winter coats, raincoats, sporting clothing, bathroom rugs, and everything else that has water proofing including my sons, who is in a crib, mattress bed. I dont understand how your company can call it fixed. I am very disappointed with your company and unless I get resolution to this problem, I will be going to the Attorney General in NYS. I plan also to spread the word regarding the lack of customer satisfaction I received from your company. This is awful to do to customers who made good money for a product. Now, I have to go to a Laundromat to wash my clothes. Does that make sense to anyone who has bought a washer???

The ice maker began leaking soon after we purchased our LG refrigerator. The company sent out a repairman, who replaced the ice maker, but said that because of a design flaw, it would leak again. Tried to find one that was rated good in Consumer Affairs. I have had this pair for about 5 years. I looked at consumer feedback to find one that was rated well. They seem to do ok. I dont like the odor coming from the washer when you have the door closed too long, so I always leave it open when not in use. I look for capacity, energy efficiency, discounts, brand, quality. How fast they will come out and repair if it breaks down. I look for quality and price has to enter in on it. Most expensive is not always what I want. It may not have the features I want. I want and need large size that keeps working.

Absolute worst customer service ever. $3000 Refrigerator stopped working one month after going out of warranty, so basically at the 13 month period. Had to purchase a repair plan for $350 to get it fixed. Repair person has been here three times and it is still not working over one month later. I have been living out of coolers for a month now. Now they are telling me they have to get authorization to order a new part, which if that goes through wont arrive for another week. This is ridiculous that we should have to go through this for this long. I replaced all the appliances in my kitchen last year with new LG and this is what I get. I have an old freezer in my garage that has lasted for 20 years without issue. Should have stuck with it.

Bought a LG Dishwasher, LG Fridge, and LG range. All look very smart! Dishwasher ran for 6 months, then noise started. Engine issues. Fixed on warranty. Broke again. Advised to replace unit after it failed again after warranty. Fridge plastic rakes broke. Replaced on warranty. Cheaply made poor design. Broke again after warranty. Last night the light/control unit caught fire and melted the inside top of unit. Temp was very hot and filled with smoke. Found out from former service company that there is a call back due to fire hazard. They service all major appliances. They will not service LG. Called LG. They did not offer much until I raised the service bulletin. Range: electronic board fried and was replaced on warranty. Now off warranty, two elements are burned out. Called LG and asked for parts. We bought a new LG refrigerator from Home Depot. After a couple of days we realized the bottom freezer drawer did not close properly. We contacted LG and the first repairmen they sent thought it was the slides that needed to be replaced and put in a order for that. This last one came and told us that wasnt the problem, and that the whole door and bracket assembly needed to be replaced. We asked for a new unit and they said no, we had to see if the replacement door and assembly worked. And it may take up to 5 weeks to get it them. This is a brand new unit. We should not have to suffer because they produced a poor product. This should be their problem, not ours. We will not purchase their products again. So no big surprise based upon the various reviews concerning LG refrigerator performance. Yes our LG refrigerator stopped working so we called a local repairmen who diagnosis the issue as a compressor failure (which seems to be a common problem), but due to the labor cost and after considerable effort we got LG to send their own technician to come out on their cost to fix the problem. The technician was great and after repairing the compressor and the evaporator (also faulty) we thought all was good. Unfortunately the fridge still didnt work so he returned and after numerous hours and effort he informed us that oil had entered into the lines and there was nothing else to do but submit a request to LG for a reimbursement. We are currently waiting and cannot get any info concerning our status and whether we should keep the fridge to return and that reimbursement process may take up to 4 to 6 weeks for a prorated reimbursement amount. So we have already have waited six weeks without a fridge and will potentially need to wait another six weeks before we have closure and honestly Im not too optimistic based upon the length of time and the ambiguity that each person gives us on the phone. Although each customer service rep is nice it is unfortunate that LG does not give the autonomy to make a decision even when their own repairmen have given forth their assessment. I realize that products fail but when there is an obvious trend LG should be fast recognize and not strong their patrons along. Its just bad business.

We purchased an LG fridge and stove from Home Depot on January 3, 2014. We were given a date for delivery of Jan 24, 2014. So my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery. At 9:30 am we received a call from Home Depot asking if we had received a call from LG with our delivery time? We answered, no, we had not, and Home Depot staff said he would call LG to see when it was coming. Several hours later with no return call from anyone I called Home Depot (2:30 pm), only to be told that our products were out of stock and would now not be delivered until Feb 4, 2014. So upset over taking a day off and not even the smallest of respect for LG to call and inform us that our products were not coming, we wait until the next date. For Feb 4th comes and again my husband takes the day off work to await the delivery (surely if it was not coming today LG would have called to inform us). By 11 am we heard nothing so I placed a call to LG myself. It was at this time I was given the run around. I asked her if it was customary for them to not call their clients to inform them that their delivery is not coming. She told me it was Home Depots responsibility (I spoke with Home Depot and the told me it was their responsibility). I explained that I felt that was horrible customer service to not provide common courtesy. I let her know that it cost us money to stay at home for the 2 days and they couldnt pick up the phone. The customer services lady could not help me and when I asked to speak to a manager the manager would not take my call and instead gave me the number to call the delivery department. It was then I spoke with them and was told that it wasnt coming today either and had no idea when it was coming. Eventually we found out another delivery date of Feb 12. I wonder if I will ever get the items I paid for??

Bought our house in May of 2014 and it came with the brand new LG front loading washer. I wish it didnt because it has been an ongoing problem since we started using it. Besides having to clean it all the time, it leaks constantly. First, the error message would go on and the water wasnt draining, so it would leak everywhere, plus we would have to empty the water. We had that repaired. Now, its leaking from a different area, which is a different issue Im being told. This is the 3rd repair done on this machine!! I purchased an LG top load washing machine and have been completely unsatisfied since the day I bought it. My clothes suddenly smell. I was told that is because on newer machines the drain is closer to the clothes, if that makes sense. The drain pump has broken twice. It is not a part that is in stock, so we often have to wait for the part to get it before the machine can be fixed. It also has the off balance problem that many have already mentioned. It is hard to get it balanced. Obviously, this washing machine has a defect with the drain. They should take responsibility and replace it, but are not willing. We purchased this LG stainless steel refrigerator Model # LRFD25850ST from Home Depot for $2400. Within the last 18 months we have had 3 service calls on a recurring problem. This morning the problem was back and now requires another service visit. The three prior ones cost about $600 altogether, so we are into this refrigerator for at least $3000 so far. I havent seen my problem on this blog. What happens is for some reason a sheet of ice forms in the bottom of the freezer. (Its a bottom freezer model). Anyway every single day of my life I have to crack up the ice with a wooden mallet, scrape it out of the freezer onto the floor & then clean that up. Its infuriating! Each time the tech comes out he defrosts some line & it starts working properly again. After the 1st repair visit, it worked for about 9 months. Then he came again & it worked for 2 months. Then he came again & replaced a little plastic tube & that has worked for 2 months. I really dont think a refrigerator should need to be serviced every 2 months! Before this, I had a GE fridge & it worked without a single problem for 17 years. We gave it to a family member when we got this LG & it has been working for them flawlessly since. That’s 21 years without a problem. Trying to deal with LG customer service is a joke. They couldnt care less & their only recourse is to remind you that your fridge is out of warranty. Plus like others have said, its really difficult to even find someone to service the thing. We dont live in the sticks but a major metropolitan area. We are going to cut our losses & buy a new fridge, but it is definitely not going to be an LG. I will never buy another LG product! Are there any appliances still made in the US? Thats my next quest. I have never been so thoroughly disgusted with both the quality of the product & the total worthlessness of customer service as LG has exhibited.

My dishwasher is not heavily used (6x/week) and within 18 months of owning it the stainless finish on the control panel (around the POWER) button started to wear off. I was told this was outside the warranty period and could pay to replace the door (for essentially 1/4 of the price I paid for the dishwasher). The dishwasher has been fine, not spectacular (the dishes are often still wet after drying overnight, I have tried every combination of drying cycles to improve this). Overall very disappointed in the quality of the dishwasher, wont be buying an LG product again.

Agree with the other one star reviews with this issue. This top loader never gets enough water in the tub (on normal cycle) to even get most of the clothes wet, let alone all of them! How can anyone expect clean clothes without water? I always need to press extra water or deep wash....which really wastes a lot of water as it will then fill up to the very top rim when I only want it to cover the clothes in the tub! Ridiculous machine - dont they test these things before putting them on the market? So wish wed returned it when we had the chance...but hubby said well get the gist of using it HA.

We bought an LG Dishwasher, Washer & Dryer - BIG MISTAKE, 3 pieces of JUNK!!! The washer always spins unbalanced. Cant fix it! Then the bleach dispenser stopped working a year later. The door got real tight and started leaking. Called LG. Repair guy shows up just to find out whats wrong and order parts. Orders a new door. 2 weeks later, he shows up with a RED door - our washer is white. He says, Guess I should of checked the box. Two more weeks go by and we finally get a white door. Bleach dispenser still doesnt work. It washes OK but we hate it anyway!

Last Christmas we bought an LG French Door Refrigerator. This past August it started making a noise. My husband called LG. They sent out a repairman and he said that it was not defrosting. He opened the back of the refrigerator, it had a chunk of ice which was making the noise. He replaced the computer board and stated that would fix the problem. On September 7 I noticed the freezing section was not cold. With a temperature gun my husband noted that the temperature was only 32 degrees and according to the computer setting on the refrigerator it should have been 0 degrees. From this point on our nightmare started.Another repairman come out at 8:30 Thursday the 8 in the morning and stated that it need a computer board. It was replaced a second time. At four oclock that afternoon my husband check the freezer. It only registered 32 degrees. From this point on it has been a series of phone calls to LG customer service. My husband even talked to a supervisor on Monday the 12 who stated that the last repairman sent in a recommendation that the refrigerator should be replaced. After more phone calls to LG they now says that they will fix it for a third time. We are at our wits end. We called hhgregg where we bought the refrigerator from and of course their help was minimal. If and when our problem is fixed, I will not recommend LG products to no one.

I had cracked the glass top on my previous LG range as a glass bottle fell out of the cabinet over the range. We went shopping for a similar range and I thought the model I was purchasing was self clean. We were in a family crisis at the time so I didnt do my normal research. I know the sales associate realized I wanted self clean so I really didnt pay enough attention. It was a while before we really used the range as we were out of town with the family situation. I have watched the videos regarding easy clean and LG claims small spots, light soil are easily cleaned after the easy clean cycle. I have run the easy clean three times today to clean light soil and it doesnt clean up with plenty of elbow grease. Ugh. I should also mention my husband has had to take the glass out of the door twice to clean soil or grease. We are retired so its not that we are always cooking.

It took over 2 weeks for LG warranty repair service to determine we needed a new fan motor and a new compressor, then another 2 weeks for these parts to be installed. I have been fighting with LG over this French Door refrigerator with its freezer drawer glides breaking three times in three years. Yesterday, the drawer fell completely to pieces and now my icemaker is not working consistently. Ice is building up inside the walls (has been for two years). The freezer doesnt freeze. The list goes on and on. Not only have I been forced to purchase the defective parts three times, the parts are not in stock. If there is no recall or problem with the part, why the shortage? I have gotten nowhere with LG including the supervisors. I believe there is cause for a class action suit to be brought against them over this as there are many others having the same issues. Yet, LG refuses to make good on their product. Today alone, I have found no less than 1,000 others who are also having these same issues. That was with just one Google search. I am certain this product is a manufacturer defective product and needs to be removed from the market. I will never own another LG product again nor purchase another item from Best Buy.

Purchased a freezer on the bottom, French door on top refrigerator that ran for six months. When I called LG to repair, I was told originally that I was not in their repair area (A&E). After much discussion, they decided to send someone out (from Sears, not A&E) and my earliest appointment was three weeks away. I had to rent a refrigerator. When they called to say they would be there after lunch, I made the wrong assumption that it would be at least 12:30 to 1:00 pm. Wrong, they got there at 12:15, I did not get there until 12:30 after leaving work. I was not aware that 12:15 was considered after lunch. They would not come back and now I had to wait another three weeks for someone. Again they will not tell me what time they will arrive, just between 8 and 5, even though I requested an afternoon appointment rather than take off all day from work. Very unsatisfied with the service of the refrigerator and the service of their outside repair contractor. If parts have to be ordered, it will be additional time on top of the six weeks I have already waited.

I like the ice machine, water machine, double doors, Auto cooling, auto temperature, but it wasnt that special. It could have been better to me. The temperature never worked. It would get hot randomly. It would leave water. It would get really cold one day then hot the next. It was cheap and lasted only a few years. It would last longer the warranty was bettering dont like it. I wasnt a fan after the first year and it didnt have a for what Im paying for it. I could get a better fridge. It wasnt the best and I should have put out more money to get a better one. It was pretty low and to me it could have been higher and it could have been up to standards and to me it was not and some reason it didnt last more than 45 years and to me thats pretty low for your fridge raider. But it has a great warranty for the last at least 10-15 years. I didnt think it would crash so soon but it did. I should have put more time and effort let alone money into the fridge that I was purchasing.

I purchased an LG washer 21/2 years ago from Home Depot and last weekend it failed during a load. I could not get my clothes out. The main PCB board failed. This washer was only used for a couple of loads a week. What really bothered me was the treatment I got from LG. The service people kept hanging up on me and they would not do anything for me even though they had a service bulletin out identifying the board as a problem and had developed an updated replacement board. Stay away from LG equipment. Their equipment is not reliable and they do not stand by their equipment.

When we went shopping for a new washer/dryer, I was upset to find that nobo
When we went shopping for a new washer/dryer, I was upset to find that nobody carried the old-timey washing machines -- unless you wanted a very small tub that you cant wash your bedding in. I did not like the fact that these new washing machines did not let you set your own water level or preferred washing cycle (you know, permanent press, delicate, regular, etc.); nor did I like the fact that it did NOT have an agitator. I do not need a washer/dryer for dummies who need presets for the various types of loads. LOL Plus, I had a sneaking suspicion that a washer without an agitator couldnt get laundry cleaned properly.Well, as it turns out, everything I did not like about the new washers is everything that I absolutely hate about our LG top loader that we bought in 2012. I was right not to want one in the first place, but I had no choice but to buy one if I wanted a NEW washer/dryer. The load sensor simply cannot gauge the size of a load properly. It either adds too much or too little water. Most of the time, it wont add enough water to cover even half of the load. When you trick it into adding more water (by opening and closing the lid as if you added garments), it ALWAYS adds water to the top -- even for a tiny load of undies.I was told they came out with these new types of washers to help reduce water usage. Well, thats an epic fail! Especially since the machine never gets the laundry clean, which often results in washing a load two or three times. I always wondered why Downy came out with those scent-boosting pellets, which we never needed with our old-timey washer -- because these washers simply do not clean clothes and they need something to make things at least smell good. Who do they think theyre fooling when soiled clothes come out of the washer still soiled? Now, about the lack of agitator, I couldnt have been more right. I was told by the salesman that the wave force is the way the machine agitates the clothes. Well, how can the wave force work when theres too little water in the machine that it doesnt even cover the load? When it fills the tub to the top on a load that didnt need that much water, the wave force causes the clothing to get all twisted. Each piece is twisted on itself as well as twisted with other clothing items. How gentle is that on clothing? With my old-timey washer, I could wash the dogs bedding and have it come out minus all of the dog hair and any stains and smells. Not with this machine. Theres always a significant collection of dog hair, particularly on the top, and I had to begin using color bleach to help with stains and smells better, but its still not clean. Dont even get me started on how unclean undies come out. LOL Those two types of loads, as well as towels, are usually the ones I have to wash two or three times -- and they STILL arent as clean as they should be.At least the dryer does a decent job, but it makes a weird noise that has me worried it will break down at any moment. Also, I fortunately have not had as many issues with the washer getting unbalanced as Ive read that others have had, but I hope I didnt just jinx myself by saying that because it does seem to be happening more often of late.At the moment, I simply cannot afford to replace a washer/dryer set thats only a few years old. My old Maytag lasted 20+ years with only two minor belt replacements, so I certainly did not expect to have to replace a three-year-old set or spend gobs of money fixing something that, according to other reviews, probably wont fix a thing.I tell you what, though, when I do go to replace them, if the stores do not have the old-timey machines with large-capacity tubs, I will go to a store that refurbishes them and spend my hard-earned money there -- most likely on a Maytag set. Maybe I should go check them out now to see how affordable they are. I know for a fact they wont cost thousands of dollars and will STILL actually get my clothes clean with less time and water -- not to mention without Downys smell-good-dirty pellets. LOLIn conclusion...just say no! Not only to LG, but any washer like it because its not possible to PROPERLY wash laundry without an agitator. Furthermore, if youre a green person like me who wants to save on water, you will cringe at how much water these washing machines cause you to waste just trying to get your laundry clean -- and to no avail.

Purchased our washer from Home Depot about (4) years ago, and if I could return it, I would. This has been the worst machine I have ever had. It doesnt dispense enough water to clearly wash clothes. I know this as my husband drives a truck for a living and brings home very grungy work clothes, and I can never get them spotless. Its really disappointing when you spend good money on appliances, to only have that money wasted on something you cant return. This machine smells, rattles and take forever to complete a cycle. Theres no rushing to get a load done at night. I could go to the laundromat faster!

Refrigerator Envy: that’s what our friends said when they saw our new LG refrigerator. NO MORE! Problems began the first year, and five years and many repairs later – most we paid for; LG covered a few – the problems have simply worsened. We’ve lost hundreds of dollars in food waste, spent over $800 in “repairs”, and endured countless inconveniences as a result of food freezing in the refrigerator. We now keep fruits and vegetables in our sixteen year-old garage Whirlpool. The design flaw, we’ve been informed, is known by LG and has been addressed in their newer models. Most recently, beginning 8/1/2019, our numerous emails to LG’s escalation team and to their VP of Customer Service have had no reply whatsoever. LG is unwilling and/or unable to follow up on their promises or our correspondence. We wonder if another “private message” would likewise be ignored. We have lost respect for LG. We would neither consider nor recommend the purchase of an LG product to anyone.

We bought all new higher end LG appliances. Dishwasher, range, refrigerator, and microwave. Fridge had a catastrophic failure at just over one year, luckily we bought the extended warranty. The dishwashers rack rusted out at about year 2, again warranty and then the dishwasher just died at year 5 and may be too expensive to repair. The range has been problem free. My LG refrigerator has failed for the 4th time in less than 4 years; 2 compressors and 2 evaporators. I paid $2,999 for the refrigerator from Sears. On August 21st my refrigerator failed and I called to schedule service. The agent on the phone asked me a few questions and confirmed that it was a sealed system issue. The next available service was Sept 5. I live in a large city so it should not be this difficult to get service. The next day I spoke to the local LG servicer. After I explained that the sealed system has failed 3 other times they told me they could not service the refrigerator since they did not do the prior work. They went on to say that it was LGs policy to replace a refrigerator on the 4th sealed system issue. On Aug 22, I finally I spoke to someone in LG Consumer Relations and was told that my refrigerator qualifies for a buy back. The last sealed system issue was less than a year ago and I could request a buy back. I was told It would take 3-4 days for the final dollar amount to be determined and another 4 weeks to receive a check. As requested I sent in my Proof of Purchase using the web link emailed to me. On Aug 24th I called LG service for an update and was told I had not sent my Proof of Purchase, I sent it a second time and verified that it was received. Again I was told 3-4 days to receive the final offer details. I called today, Aug 30th, and was transferred 4 times. I am now told that someone had not followed through on the case and it would be another 3-4 working days before a decision would be made. What recourse do I have?

Updated on 08/21/2019: This is an update to my previous post about my 3 year old LG refrigerator. LG tech was great but could not fix my refrigerator. He replaced the compressor and left saying it will take some time to cool. The next day it was hotter than before inside. I called him and he came back next day to find a clog and a broken pipe. He had me send the original receipt. He submitted it to deem the fridge unable to be fixed and needing replacement.Apparently, the entire process can take up to two weeks... so I am to go without a fridge for that long. I purchased a mini fridge, but I’m sure LG will not be reimbursing me for that either. As well, LG ONLY reimburses you what they deem the refrigerator is now worth, since it is 3 years old. Yet, I have seen statements by LG in warranties and online that are misleading about this “replacement”.Lastly, I have a dead, large refrigerator sitting here and no information on LG picking this up. Even if I wanted to go buy a replacement prior to LG getting through their long approval process AFTER the tech explained it all, I can’t!!! I am single and have no way to remove it. LG - You owe me the money that I spent on this refrigerator just 3 years ago, plus the cost of the mini fridge I had to buy. And you need to remove this worthless fridge this week! I have never had so many issues with a refrigerator (even 10yrs old), much less all of the trouble I’m having to go through for this lemon product I was sold!Original review: It seems my refrigerator will fall under the same bucket of consumers that have started the class action lawsuit! I bought the LG Side by Side Refrigerator in Stainless Steel in May of 2016. It has suddenly just stopped cooling. Opened my freezer to find melted food all over and had to throw out hundreds of dollars of food from the freezer and fridge!Contacted LG on Saturday and they said I only have warranty to replace for 1 yr. Some parts are warrantied for 5 yrs and some 13, though. The rep was scripted and seemed annoyed if I asked any questions about best temperature, etc. So, not a great experience with their customer support after their appliance fails after only 3 yrs! She did give me a “courtesy” one-time free service call. But, who knows how much it will cost in the end, nor how long parts will take.I’m fairly certain the compressor went bad, due to the symptoms and fact that coils are cleaned. The model I bought had the linear compressor - which I was sold on by Home Depot as being great per warranty and reliability. Upon now reading the class action suit that’s ongoing... the issue is these linear compressors failing at 3 yrs on average!I will never buy an LG appliance again! I bought their washer and dryer and the dryer stopped working in 1 yr and 1 month after purchase. That also required repair and I was without a dryer for over a week. I’m single and facing upcoming lay-offs at my job. In all my 44 yrs, I have never had any issues like this with a refrigerator, or dryer (even at 10+ years!). I have already lost money from all my food going bad and expensive medication for my pet has also gone bad! LG can’t get anyone out here until Tuesday. They need to do the right thing for customers that experience this with faulty parts, or appliances... without a lawsuit, or hassle!

Built in ice maker, sleek black color, water filter system, doors open outward, pretty big freezer. It keeps my food from spoiling. Would make the freezer larger, because I like to freeze a lot of food. Also have it come in even more color options. They could off a better service warranty and make the installation process even better.

I purchased a $900 LG washer 14 months ago. I also purchased the PSP plan. The bleach port is rusting away and getting rust on the clothes! The water and pressure is fine. The PSP plan wont cover this. I called LG and they gave me a hard time, but I demanded something so they allowed me to email the receipt from HHGregg and they will consider sending someone to look at the rust. They decided no and instead, suggested I purchase another plan that covers this problem. I didnt realize we needed a plan that protects poor quality metal!

Throws errors LG refused to fix. 2 months old. 3 errors. Model WT7060CV: We purchased from well known retailer, upgraded all external hoses, faucet, etc. at time they installed. Within 2 weeks, started getting errors requiring reset, that worked, now at 2 months of light usage, vacation home, the error claims no water coming into tub. The symptoms however are conflicting: water fills tub and washes, then as it goes into spin, error thrown, tub drains, washer stops working, items in washer are wet. Now we cant get washer to work at all, the current error says requires repair person, we call retailer, they give us LG Customer Service, customer service tells us the problem is no water is coming into tub, I explained that was not the case and reiterated symptoms. We did video call with LG, they found no problem and said the hose must be clogged since no water was coming in. We said yes water is coming in, they said to clean the filters which required taking back off of washer but they wouldnt stay on the call to assist, I said water is coming in and seems odd that after 2 months the filters have to be cleaned and I am not comfortable doing this on my own, they said to stop repeating myself and hung up on me. They gave us 2 repair people in Seattle, 1 out of business, 1 never called back. I asked for repair services closer to East side because anyone further out wont drive to our location, they gave me 2 that are further away than first repair service. Retailer told us LG was supposed to call repair service not us.Now the retailer, who really has been super helpful is dealing with LG and is going to pay for an LG repair company closer to our location that is not on LG authorized list to go out to try to repair the machine. The retailer told me LG is extremely difficult to work with when issues occur with their products. Lesson learned. DONT BUY LG, I now have a shiny new 2 month old washing machine that does not work and neither the retailer or LG will take back. The good news... The dryer works fine. So far.

Worst customer service call. I have been listening to the recording for dont know how long. Meanwhile I read all reviews which have experienced worst than me. I hope my call gets answered and my issues gets resolved. I need to start praying and wish me good luck. Customer service at LG sucks. My recent purchased refrigerator does not want to give cold water, my tap water is colder than the first cup in the morning from my fridge. It is not even 3 months old.

Love my front loading machine. The red color is beautiful too. It has everything you could wish for, lots of cycles, options to change temp, and even delay wash start time. The wash finished chime is pleasant and the volume can be adjusted. It is efficient and quiet. I love how much water is spun out of the clothes, reducing time in the dryer. I also bought the pedestal drawer for the bottom which helps save the back from discomfort when loading/unloading. I have had my machine since 2007 and have only had to replace the water pump in 2019. I highly recommend this machine, it is worth the money.

I hate LG, worse company to deal with when you need customer service or system repair. 69 days and still no resolution on my $2,900 refrigerator. After 1.5 years the unit quit working, after 50 phone calls and several attempts to fix their unit I still have no solution. They suck, they don’t care about the customer, they keep escalating my case and each time it takes 3-10 days to get an answer. They say they will contact me and they never do, I have to call them 3 times a week to keep things moving.Missing time from work to be home for repair people, they made a mess in my house. Open the system under pressure and sprayed refrigerant oil vapor in my kitchen and dining room… They don’t care about the customer at all… Keep apologizing on the phone, yet their action reflects zero effort to correct their defective unit. All the local LG service companies refused to work on their product, Technicians told me they can’t fix it and they will not touch an LG refrigerator sealed system. I have to say it’s the worse customer service experience of my life, I am so mad… Who can live for over two months without a refrigerator?

We have a 3-door side-by-side with ice/water. Ice maker is slow and very undersized so we will definitely run out of ice during a party. The refrigerator is very stylish but it is painted and can and did scratch. The unit is quiet and led lighted interior is quite nice. The door gasket has gone bad in 3 years though. WE bought this thru Home Depot and wisely bought additional wty. WE have some trouble with refrig and LG stove and the warranty company has been EXCELLENT. This is very important. No sin to need a repair but to be left hanging is not good. We will buy LG again. :-)

We got this washing machine just over 4 years ago. The door lock sticks now and I have to turn it off and back on 30 times before the door will unlock so I can get my clothes out. I don’t have time for that. And yesterday, I went to switch my clothes out and the door was locked of course so I just turned the whole machine off and went back to it today when I had time to mess with it. I still had to tap the frame of the door where the lock is about 3-4 times while turning it off and back on. Then when I finally was able to open it, my clothes were still soaked. So I put it on a spin only cycle. 17 min by default then after it judged the weight and distribution, it went to 10 min.I came back a few min later, the number of min was on 7 and it was full of water, rinsing. The spin light was flashing, indicating it was spinning and it was on a spin only cycle. We’re going to have to replace it as soon as we can afford to because they only guarantee their products for a year. I was told by the manufacturer that they’d have to charge me to have a maintenance guy from LG come to my house, evaluate the problem and fix it. Had I known they believed in their products this little, I’d have gone with a different brand. We will not be purchasing LG again.

I bought a top loading LG washer and dryer in May 2013 washing machine mode
I bought a top loading LG washer and dryer in May 2013 washing machine model WT1101CW. In September of 2014 the washing machine wouldnt drain the water halfway through a cycle. Called LG and was told that it was out our warranty and there was nothing they could do. I said it was 3 months out of warranty and told the lady overseas to give me a supervisor. The supervisor extended my warranty after scanning my receipts to him, now this is where the problems start. The part ordered was the drain motor, it took 2 weeks to get after calling trying to get information about the part. The part came in, the service company installed it and it did not fix the problem so a drain pump was ordered. The drain pump took another 2 weeks to get in and was installed and it still did not fix the problem. The service company has now ordered a control panel and has requested that LG overnight the part but they will not do that. I called LG customer service again, talked to another lady from overseas and was told they do not overnight parts. I asked to speak to a supervisor and told her I had been without a washing machine for going on 6 weeks now and needed this part overnighted. She stated that they do. It overnight parts and it would be 3 to 5 business days which means another 1 to 2 weeks to get the part and have it installed. I asked to speak to her supervisor and was told they are all supervisors in that department and her direct superior does not take phone calls. I do not believe that the control panel will fix the problem and that the washer is completely fried. I am still waiting for the outcome of my washing machine debacle but have no hope that it will be fixed and work properly. The customer service given by LG is the worst that I have ever dealt with and will NEVER buy another LG product and will share my story with anyone who will listen.

We got an LG 7551 dishwasher in 2013. Not long out of warrant it began squealing. Put vinegar in to make a temporary fix. Tines always collapsing causing plates etc to fall over. (LG actually replaced both racks under warranty but no difference.) 3.5 years into ownership started getting E1 error. Uninstalled it, re-leveled it, re-did the drain and looped it correctly all gave temporary fixes lasting weeks to months. Now it is happening more frequently and doubt it is worth a service call to fix a now 5 year old unit. A lot of upkeep and maintenance for the near top of the line LG dishwasher. Very disappointing.

After reading the reviews here, I realize I am not alone. We bought our LG oven prior to buying the LG dishwasher.... a few years apart. Initially, I did not have any real problems with the stove/oven EXCEPT that the control panel cracked shortly after we got it, like a month. Fine, everything else was working. We let it go. BUT, now we are having serious issues & of course, they all came to the surface right before this holiday season. Just before Thanksgiving, the stovetop burner would not turn off. I thought it was just my husband being an idiot as he was rushing out of the house making a Jambalaya for the Giants’ pregame tailgate. However, it turns out he wasnt making it up.... It was hot for a long time and would not turn off. HS, hot surface, was the code but the burner was glowing bright red as if it were on HIGH. Took forever to clean that pan. My Le Creuset no less. Then after that, the oven started burning everything and cooking things funny. Burnt on the outside and mushy, undercooked on the inside. Last night, I tried again to use oven.... F-9 error came up. I turned it on and off. Yes, that was my solution in the moment. Now I see that the ovens with that specific warning are a SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD. The ovens catch fire from the malfunctions according to other reviewers. This is shocking and a real issue. I have 3 kids. Honestly, I cant believe Home Depot carries LG after reading all these other accounts of LG breaking down & just not working. So, no holiday cookies or turkey this holiday season b/c my oven that is LESS than 4 years old malfunctioned & is a piece of crap!!!!!!! No food memories with my kids that you daydream about, look forward to with holidays approaching. Nope! Hopes and dreams dashed by LG. And forget about getting a repairperson to come to work on LG. I called several places in the area, and they practically hung up on me when I said I had an LG. As the previous reviewers noted, repair must be done by certified LG contractor. Finally had Ultra Wiz (recommended through LG consumer support) came to take care of the LG dishwasher, which I stupidly bought not realizing LG sucks. The LG dishwasher is quite possibly the worst dishwasher I have ever had. Pretty much had problems with it after 6 months. Within 18 months now, I have had the dishwasher serviced 3x. Ridiculous. As I write this, I am on hold with LG begging for a refund for the stove but that will probably only happen when hell freezes over. Nope, as usual... They say I have to pay for repair and then my case will be presented for evaluation by said mystery higher up. So, I have to spend more money on junky LG product to even get consideration for a refund.... I would take half of what I spent on the stove at this point and put it towards a product that actually works. The only reason I am not stark raving mad is b/c we are about to renovate our current kitchen, and I am getting new appliances anyway. BUT STILL LG is horrid. Never again will I recommend, let alone, buy another single LG product. NEVER. I wish we could ban together and sue LG. Btw, the CEO Bon-Joon Koo is worth 840 million! No wonder he looks so happy in all the photos.

We called service and they told us to stop using the machine immediately and they would send a service technician. The tech said we need a new tub assembly and it is NOT covered under warranty. It will cost $1100 to get fixed!!! Are you kidding ME??? I paid less than that for the washer 18 months ago! This is absolute BS. How can they NOT back their products after only 18 months. Bought LG model LFXS30726S on December 2014 (a $3000 fridge). The compressor failed while on vacation on August 2017. Returned home and witnessed food all ruin, house smelled like some animal died inside. Late return home from vacay so had to stay up late to clear out the fridge fast and doubled bags about 8 trash bags. Family not sleep well that night due to the bad smell that permeated the entire house.Next day, got a local serviceman and he said the compressor died and its a common issue for LG and informed me the compressor has 10 yrs warranty. So I contacted LG. Horrible experience (life was not good!). First call I was given three local authorized LG repair services. First one no one answered the phone. Second and third, we dont do warranty jobs?? Second call to LG, received fresh three new numbers and got the same results?? My furious third call back to LG, LG assigned the repair to LGs own technician and said first availability will be 4 days out.Next morning after vacay, we took the fridge apart and removed the heavy houses door in order to get the LG outside to clean and remove the smell. The next several days we tediously cleaned with vinegar and baking soda several times a day. LG technician came 4 days later and confirmed the compressor is bad and its on order and will be expedited to the house the next day. The next day it took 1.5 hr to replace the compressor and the labor charge was $460 (with tax).I contacted LG executive services and informed them my experience. They replied via email saying my product is out of warranty yada yada and zero compensations or apologies for poor quality product. This was the second major issue with this fridge. 5 months after we bought it, the controller was bad (defrost timer was bad) causing the freezer to ice up and the fan kept hitting ice LOUD bangs. It took LGs technician FOUR trips/appointments to the house and TWO technicians to determine it was the defrost timer. Had to take off work to meet technicians. They replace the controller board to fix this issue. We bought a mini 3.3 cu ft. fridge (NOT LG) to get us by while the LG was out. I wont recommend LG fridge to anyone and wont buy another LG fridge.

After numerous failures of the original during the warranty period, and much fighting with Sears, they agreed to replace. Now the replacement unit is problematic. The freezer got warm and can’t keep adequately cool. Reading all the reviews of Lousy Garbage just reinforces the claim that LG stands for Lousy Garbage. Slick and smooth with an Ice dispenser. The ice dispensed was fairly large and the handle was curved. The fridge itself was of average size. The freezer section wasnt unnecessarily large and was all the space I really ever required. The fridge could have been larger though, but not for its price. The size of the fridge couldve been larger with less unnecessary pullout shelves and more standard shelves. The door shelves were decent though. The production the the aforementioned ice was also somewhat long as well. The price of the refrigerator is what caught my attention. Then again, the fridge was on sale and wasnt at its standard market value, thus this opinion could be skewed or biased.

We were very upset initially with our expensive LG refrigerator breaking after 3 1/2 years which left us living out of coolers for a week, losing 80% of the items in our refrigerator and freezer due to spoilage. We were finally able to speak with an LG Representative on the phone within 24 hours to discuss the problem and LG came through and stood behind their product by conducting a repair with upgraded new parts and a software update to help eliminate future problems. We had an extended warranty through an authorized LG retailer we purchased from. LG took over the repair order, sent their internal LG Service Direct Technician to our home and conducted the repair. The technician was very professional and highly skilled. The repair only took 1 hour.We were very concerned about parts being ordered and having to wait an additional 1-2 weeks after diagnostic testing. Not the case! Repair was complete on 26 FEB 2020, 6 days after breakage. 5 hours after the repair completion, the ice maker was producing ice, freezer was working, and the refrigerator was cold. Seems like a good repair. I would like to thank LG for their support in this matter regarding our refrigerator repair. We look forward to enjoying our LG appliances now and in the future.

Like Nate of Duarte, CA wrote on March 26, 2014 -- by end of 2006 purchased LG LFC25760ST. Had the same issue with the light fixture housing in the refrigerator compartment header, not once but twice. My photos look exactly like his. Last service they replaced the entire electronic board and installed a new light fixture housing also recommending use of lower watt (40 watt) bulbs. This occurred Aug. 2012. At the time I stated I was concerned about possible impact whatever lies above the refrigerator header (refrigerant tubes?). It appeared the plastic header was melted completely through in at least 3 locations. Now I have refrigerant smell in the refrigerator. Service call is tomorrow, so well see what happens but suspect cost to address what I believe are issues with the refrigerant system may be so exorbitant that it may be more prudent to replace after a bit over 8 years than to repair. I dont understand how this fire hazard can be so prevalent for so many years and nothing appears to have been done. If there is a class action suit, I will gladly participate, as this refrigerator is in my opinion, a fire hazard at the very least.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

Bought my house 1.5 ago and brand new appliances came with it including the LG refrigerator. Don’t get me wrong I LOVED this fridge at first, however December 31st my compressor went out. Called LG the next day they said a tech in the area would call us to schedule a diagnosis. Took the techs three days to call us. I won’t hold that against them because it was the holidays however the earliest they will be out here to diagnose my fridge is the 14th. That is TWO weeks without a working fridge and this is just to diagnose it.When I called customer service again I found out the technician may not even have the part to fix the fridge when he is here!!! To top it off local people where I live will not touch LG products because of a lawsuit going on with the compressor and the hassle it is to be paid and receive the parts from LG. Even if I could find a local appliance tech to fix it it will still take LG a week to provide them with a letter of approval! So it puts me right back at two weeks or possibly more without any means to cool my perishable items unless I buy a ton of coolers and ice or a mini fridge which still would not fit all of my items. If I could give LG less than a star I would. Poor products and absolutely no care for their customers. The next appliances I buy will be anything but an LG.

My LG dryer is leaking gas from somewhere and I had the gas company come out to isolate that the issue isnt with the gas line or connection. He confirmed something is wrong with the dryer, marked it a fire hazard, and unplugged it. Furthermore, we had our dryer duct cleaned to remove the possibility that it was a blocked vent. The gas issue still exists. Was on the phone with LG for at least over an hour trying to come to some resolution. The hallmark response from them was unfortunately you are outside the 1 year warranty. The issue Im having has nothing to do with warranty and is a SAFETY and potential recall issue which they obviously didnt want to address, stating that enough people need to call in and report this issue before we issue a recall. What makes the issue so dangerous is that GAS is leaking somewhere and LG is unwilling to even send someone out as a courtesy to check. Whats worse is that there could be MANY customers out there with this problem who dont even know it or think its a big deal (we thought it was normal until we had the Gas company check it a few months later on my wifes intuition). If enough gas leaks and something ignites it, that could mean a blow-out of the dryer or worse yet potential injury via explosion or fire. Its obvious LG cares very little about the safety of their customers, especially when they keep implying these kinds of things are warranty related issues. This is major neglect IMHO. If there are ever any incidents in future related to LG and gas leaks, this shouldnt come as a surprise to anyone and it certainly wont for me. This is the last time Ill be getting a set of LG appliances... thats for sure. Ive only had this set for five years too.

On Jan. 18, 2019 we purchased the above referenced microwave. It never worked when we brought it home, and Best Buy stepped up and just let us trade the non-working one for one that did work. Now, less than 3 months later, the machine stopped working overnight--lights and turntable work, but no heat or cooking is generated. Working with LG customer service warranty department is a nightmare. The customer service staff is very difficult to understand, when you are transferred to another department, there are very long wait times to connect, and instead of having it repaired locally, LG wanted me to pack it up and mail it to them. I have had LG equipment in the past and been satisfied. However, after this fiasco I will never buy another from them. All this hassle on top of not having a working microwave. My hope is that they will just pay me the purchase cost and let me get on with my life with a different brand. The customer service department and website are not user friendly at all.

I had my LG microwave for three years or so and my wife was cleaning it gently with Windex (to get the grease off of it since it was also a range hood), when it stopped working completely. Be aware, LG and other uncool companies are making products that cannot be cleaned. Its sort of like buying a car that cant be waxed. It pretty much makes you never want to give their lousy company a dime again. I then bought a touch strip from an appliance repair site for cheap and repaired it myself. We now keep it in the garage (its huge!), but at least we didnt lose the whole $1000 investment. There are videos on YouTube that will help you do that. However, my main point is that you should never buy LG products. I know I never will again. I wont even buy parts from them. Thats what they want you to do!

I purchased my LG dishwasher on april 11, 2015. I did not purchase an extended warranty as LG was supposed to be a high end appliance company and felt the product would not require service right away. However, I was wrong. One week after my 1 year purchase date, the dishwasher had an oe error code flashing one morning, which I did not know what that meant. So I continue to use it and instead of running at night while sleeping I decided to run before we went to bed. The dishwasher when first starting had a loud grinding noise, which sounded like it was trying to take off and start flying.I went online to find that this is a problem with the dishwasher and the company does not back their warranty. I started a chat at 8:38 to resolve the issue and remained on the chat until 10:52, with no resolution. I then called the company direct. Spoke with a rep and a supervisor, both of which informed me my dishwasher had no warranty. Only after I had to contact Sears, get a duplicate receipt, upload it to them and they reviewed it. Since I got a discount on my dishwasher due to the door having had swirl marks on the front it voided any extended warranty. Therefore, I like many others will have to pay a serviceman to come repair my dishwasher that I purchased just over a year ago. I would tell anyone looking for any type of appliance. Do not buy LG anything!!! Their customer service is awful and their warranty is ridiculous.Update 5/13/16: I received from LG names and numbers of authorized repairman in our area. Called their repairman, was told by them Oh, maam, you are not in my service area. So, therefore, I have no one to service my dishwasher.

Worst refrigerator I have ever owned and worst company customer service I have ever experienced. Refrigerator and freezer ($2600, 2 years old, and $500 food loss) failed to cool in October 2013. Had a third party warranty so called them. They sent a tech who said it was the compressor and could not fix it due to the fact that it was covered under LG warranty. Finally got an LG tech to come out only to tell me the same thing and said they needed to order a new compressor that would not arrive for 6 to 8 weeks because it had to come from Korea! Got help to convince LG that they were obligated to have parts available within a reasonable time per trade agreements. Miraculously, they found the part within 2 weeks. Tech came out and installed the new compressor, got the refrigerator running and left. Later, the compressor started getting very loud. I called and complained and was told it was normal. Im here to tell you that it was NOT normal and sounded like a diesel truck idling in my kitchen! After several more phone calls to LG, and speaking with several agents and supervisor with varying degrees of rudeness, I decided to investigate and found that LG had installed the wrong compressor. It took me 2 months to resolve this with LG fighting me and telling me that I was most certainly wrong with my facts. At the vice president level, LG finally acknowledged that they had in fact supplied and installed the wrong compressor. Another compressor was ordered and a tech finally came out and installed it. A couple months later the refrigerator stopped cooling again. I spoke with several LG personnel again to convince them that a tech needed to come out again. Finally about 2 weeks later a tech did come and verify once again that the compressor was bad. Long story short, another compressor was installed and failed again within a couple months. I then began requesting a replacement or refund. This process was a nightmare filled with rude and uncooperative LG personnel, along with 2 more tech visits that were apparently aimed at disproving my claims. In the end, LG refunded my money, but did not reimburse any food loss. The entire process started October 2013, and ended in April 2014. I have never before experienced such pushy and rude customer service as I did with LG. I know that if I had not been as proactive and persistent as I was in seeking a resolve to this matter, I would have received nothing from LG! They are the worst company! I unfortunately own a couple more newer LG appliances, and hope every day that they continue to run. I will probably just throw them out if I have issues with them rather than deal with LG. I will never again buy another LG product.
