I bought an LWD3081ST double wall oven. The thermostat faulted twice in past year. I paid $7.00 for its part and would cost several hundred to service. Obviously, the design has flaws and I got no service from LG. Their customer service is rude and unhelpful. There are no return calls despite complaint. This oven cost $3,000 and company doesnt stand by product.

My 2.5 year old LG refrigerator Model LFX 25978ST/00 stopped working--first ice machine failed, then freezer and then finally entire fridge--lost all my food. Called an appliance repair and they tried replacing a $150 motherboard they tested and determined had failed. That did not fix the problem. Conclusion was the compressor was also failed. LG guarantees its compressor for 10 years, BUT, only deals with certain repair centers, so I was already out $200 and needed to call one of only two LG-affiliated centers in my area. One quoted me 2300 for labor and said the repairs rarely last and I should just buy a new fridge. Another quoted me 300 for labor, but demanded an advance before scheduling the repair and said that ordering the part and scheduling could take up to 2-3 weeks. What is obvious, having read MANY similar accounts, is there needs to be a class action lawsuit against LG. Furthermore, there needs to be much more attention to quality control, parts have to be made to last longer and all of us are going to have to pay more for our appliances and/or those profiting at the upper echelons of these companies are going to have to share the spoils with their workers to fabricate better products. My GE fridge bought in 1980, lasted 30 years. Should have had it repaired and paid the price for higher electricity vs tossing three refrigerators in a landfill that are energy efficient but, doing nothing other than cluttering the earth.

Purchased a new LG Steam dryer-DLEX3370W and washer in June 2018. Within 2 months of purchasing the dryer would not come on. Interior light would come on but electronic panel lights would not, so it is a bad board. Called LG for warranty service. Never received another call from them ever. Service repairman came 3+ weeks later with a front panel plastic part, knowing the dryer would not turn on. He threw the part in the box and stated LG sent him the wrong part. I stated I knew he orders parts not LG. LG confirmed this also. Said he would order a board and be back another day. I filed a complaint with him due to him lying about the part along with him not even opening the dryer to diagnose the problem. I have called LG every few days for 3 months now regarding the status. I am told pending. They asked for receipt of the purchase, I uploaded it to my claim. Then 2 weeks later asked for it again, uploaded it. Never in 3 months has anyone from LG called me to let me know the status. They refuse to give anything in writing also. This dryer has a lawsuit against LG due to the stream drawer and a house fire. After 10 weeks we finally purchase a new dryer and expect they would reimburse us due to not being able to find another repair company to come out to our area. They asked me to upload the receipt, I did, along with our Governors state of emergency in our county due to flooding in Texas, I did that also as asked. Today, 11/8/18, I called and spoke with a Supervisor in Executive Services who was not customer friendly, stated the claim had been denied last month! No notification, nothing! I asked for the address to send a small claims notification letter. LG Legal Dept, PO Box 24007, Huntsville, AL 35813. We will be filing a suit not honoring the warranty of a 2 month old dryer. FYI, a lawsuit was filed for a house fire due to the steam drawer.

We bought a LG gas conventional oven (model or serial # LG LRG3095ST) from Frys on March 13 2015. We did not open the box until today march 27 2015 and found that the door of the oven got one hinge loose... that mean the door is only connected to stove by one hinge and the other side is hanging when open. And there is a big dent on the stove... We rushed back to Frys in the city of industry to exchange it or return it... but we were told they wont accept our return or exchange. The return department at frys gave us the number 1800 243 0000 to contact LG to settle the problem... so we called LG and the LG operator told us that there is nothing they can do. I felt like it is not fair to us. We paid for a brand new oven and got a defective one and no one seemed to be willing take a responsibility for that. We are stuck with a defective stove. The service was very bad. We were actually told by the manager step out of my store, the exit is that way! twice. We would like them to exchange the oven or refund my money.. Thank you very much for your kind help.

We purchased a LG dishwasher model no. LDF8764ST ($800) four months ago and after using it ONCE, it stopped working and would not power on. I was not able to return the dishwasher where purchased and was informed that I had to deal directly with LG. I called LG and was scheduled a visit from a repairman. The repairman never showed up (took time off from work), so I again called LG. I was informed that the repairman had not received the ticket from LG. I indicated that since the product was defective (it worked once) and I was not comfortable risking taking another day off from work and having the repairman be a no-show again, that I would like the product either replaced or receive a refund. I was told that my only option was to reschedule the repairman. I declined and purchased a different dishwasher from another manufacturer that has worked like a charm since it was delivered/installed. This has been the worst product and service I have ever encountered.

I bought all new appliances for my kitchen... all LG. Love everything but the dishwasher! I never thought I had to read the manual to run this... but one day realized that the filter was really greasy and there was water standing in the drain. Then I found a quick guide with my papers that actually said to clean this filter every time you wash! The water never drains out which creates moisture even if you put a paper towel in it each time you use it! Really... Does a manufacturer expect you to clean the filter each time? Plus we dont ever put dirty dishes in it to begin with! Pricey item And LG wont back this up because I am beyond my warranty. Who has time for this!? Forget this product.

Purchased a brand new microwave with the new black chrome, very expensive for a microwave. Unfortunately we had a kitchen remodel so we wanted everything to be brand new. We called the store and they said that they had to call LG because their store warranty was only 7 days (ridiculous). LG said they would replace the part if it has no power. However when the service technician told LG that it had no power, they decided to repair it??? We havent even had the microwave a month. The new parts cost almost more than the microwave itself. I think this company is a piece of **. I will never purchase LG products again.

We purchased a house 3-years ago with all new LG appliances. Recently our oven which wed used sparingly started making a strange noise. Turning on the oven to bake we observed a hole melted through the rear of oven with flames shooting out into the oven similar to a torch. The oven has installed trouble-shooting software & so I downloaded the app to my cell ph. yet after numerous attempts it failed to work. Our LG refrigerator also failed in March under warranty and I am now 5-weeks into trying to get LG to honor their warranty after an $1150 repair bill. Its now been 10-days since I remitted all our paperwork to LG upon their request and no word back - nothing, nada, zilch. The oven range was out of the 1-year warranty and due to nature of problem and faulty software we instead purchased a new over for $1050. Between the 2 LG appliances it has now cost us $2200 in 2 months. If I ever get any reimbursement from LG towards refrigerator I will revise my reviews to reflect their standing behind their products and their warranty. After so many communications back & forth I simply do not know if LG is legit or plays games with consumers - Upcoming I will update everyone on the refrigerator situation IF I hear back finally from LG.

I purchased the LG Dishwasher and it is so pretty. I first ran the dishwasher just after installed and of course everything was wet for a couple of days. I dried the dishes and left the door and top (3rd) tray open as it seemed to hang on to the water. Then I remember the Rinse Aid so filled it up and ran again. Again everything was wet but not as bad. Then I decided to read some of the reviews (I had read them before but on Google reviews). Now I am wondering if my life will consist of drying dishes. That is a job I hate which is why I have the dishwasher. I have been on LGs site and did not find much help. BTW I also purchased a stove with no serial number easily accessible. Not my month.

We did not know of the problem until my son came and mentioned that it shouldnt vibrate like this (he has an older model LG), so the calls to LG started and trying to get an in warranty repairman is like pulling your own teeth. We also have an LG cook-top stove and my wife is ready to toss both of them. The refrigerator has plastic drawer runner tracks that are paper-thin and not very durable at all. It burst the door open and flooded my house causing $7,000 worth the damage!!! The mechanism to stop the water failed and it dumped what I can describe is 15 bathtubs full of water in my house. It leaked into my basement and damaged wood floors. If you have one, get rid of it now! This also happened to a acquaintance I have as well. This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned! A normal cycle is supposed to take 57 minutes. It routinely takes all day to wash one load of laundry due to constant error codes stating the machine is unbalanced. This happens no matter how small or large the load of laundry and no matter how carefully you load the machine. It does not get clothing clean. I have to hand wash all shirts before putting them into the machine, otherwise, deodorant builds up on the fabric under the arms. And the washer smells musty no matter how regularly you clean it. My husband and I purchased an LG appliance package from Best Buy (about $5k) when we bought our new house in May 2018. It included a refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. In March 2020 while self-isolating during the Coronavirus pandemic our refrigerator compressor went out, resulting in the loss of around $250 worth of food. This is bad enough, but it happened with a food shortage going on because of the Coronavirus panic-buying that is happening everywhere. We had to wait 3 days before we could get a repairman out to us. Thankfully he had a compressor; it was under warranty, and was successfully replaced. The fact that LG KNEW that they had faulty compressors in their refrigerators, and that neither Best Buy nor LG contacted us to notify us of this defect is really a problem. We are out the $150 that it cost for the repairman, as well as the cost of the food we lost. I will never buy another LG product since it appears that they dont care about the consumers, only about their bottom line. If youre thinking about buying an LG appliance, DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST and read reviews.

Purchase Lg Range at best buy in Oct. 2013 with two year warranty. Range broke, it’s over two weeks- still waiting to be repaired. Made an appointment with LG Customer care Monday. Technician came out Thursday, claimed the parts that was sent to my house by customer care were wrong, so he ordered the part using his cell phone and he gave us time and day that he will be back Saturday same week between 11:00 am to 1:00pm. We waited and he didnt call us. We called him back after 1pm. He didnt get the part. Made another appointment with him, we said Monday morning we’re at home. We go to tampa to work from Monday afternoon and be back Wednesday night, he said available to come Tuesday. We have to work so made arrangement for him to come on Thursday. He said okay, Thursday Jan. 22, between 12:00-1:30. We waited - no calls so we called him back after 1:00. He said “I thought it was done”, we asked “did you get the parts you needed?” He said “yes”, so why he said he thought it was done if he still has the part with him. He said that we did not call LG customer service to make an appointment for him to come, I said: “You gave me a time and date that you will come out Thursday between 12:00 and 1:30pm, why do I need to call LG to make an appointment if you made an arrangement to come?” So, I called LG customer care again and spoke with RJ and advise me that I dont have to call him back because he will be sure that he will call us (Bill the technician) to call us back. Waited again - no call from him so, I called LG back again and spoke with Kyle - couldnt help me, transfer me to Willie, the supervisor, and he said that the LG policy is for the customers to call back to make an appointment AGAIN, if the technician couldnt make it again, and to make another claim to have the stove fix. And then I was transferred to LG Premier Care, spoke with Carnecsha and I told her I will file complaint and Ill call Consumer Advocate to complain. She told me I couldnt do and I told her “why not, we’ve been pushed run around, as a consumer we have rights, this is our life, we bought the warranty as we were told by sales people.” And then she transferred me to Best Buy to the Geek squad who carries the warranty that we bought, and then transferred again to LG to make another arrangement for technician to come out.

Bought an LG Dishwasher from the home depot. From the beginning it would not drain. Contacted LG and the sent a repair man 4 times to fix it and it still does not work. Contacted them in October 2015 and said part was on back order. Called again today and was told that the warranty was now expired and refused to fix or replace their product.

My refrigerator was purchased in August 2017. Now 13 months later this 1200$ item died between 5:30 in the evening and 8 pm. It was dead. I have called LG every day since and get sent from one person to another. They did not even have a tech in my area, small-town in AZ. Finally got one out a week later. The main board went out. 400$ plus for the part, 4 to 6 weeks to get one. By the time Im am done, if ever it will cost almost as much as mine did new for the repair. Stay away from LG!!!

We purchased this refrigerator when redoing kitchen. Took 4 deliveries to get it. I was laid up with hip surgery so by the time I tried to clean doors nothing worked. No stainless steel product worked. Then I tried putting up magnets. They do not stick. This LG refrig came from Mexico. Company told me to get service co out and see if it is SS. WHAT? Co says it is SS. If it is why dont magnets work and SS Cleaner work? Called service co here and they want nothing to do with this. Never heard of this. Mad in Michigan.

Purchased LG washer/dryer set 18 months ago and it has to be the worst ever!! Washer: clothes come out partially dry, with new spots that it didnt have going in, lint from some unknown origin, still soiled. Steam dryer: turns off after 2 minutes and clothes still wet so we have to use timed drying. And dont use steam function because clothes come out soaked, yes, from the d-r-y-e-r. We thought we were getting the top of the line water efficient appliance and ended up getting nothing but frustration. Nothing efficient when you have to wash everything on bulky/heavy soil just to get it somewhat clean and then to add the need to wash several times to get them clean only adds insult to injury. Never again will I purchase another LG washer/dryer and wondering why they are not being held accountable for such a lousy product!!!

We purchased a side-by-side model. When they delivered the refrigerator, it would not square up; it looked crooked. They said it worked fine and could not take it back. When we noticed it was bulging from the sides and was wider in the middle, that sort of looked like a problem. The drawers would not stay in the grooves. When we called, they said they would get back with us, which they never did. The refrigerator was bought in 2008. Then the water valve for the ice maker went bad. I called to buy a replacement part, but they no longer make that part. So Im out of luck with a $2100 refrigerator that has no ice maker. I cant even sell it for a second refrigerator for the garage sale as a result.I would tell everyone to beware of this company as they are not reliable. I will never purchase another LG product. I hear Electrolux has the best warranty and service department.

It was new and we needed a new one and the other one wasnt keeping the food cold. This led us to buy another one. However, we had to shop around to find the right prince and the right features. It wasnt an easy task. Simple things like the space and the defrost feature make the fridge helpful and low maintenance. Its easy to clean as well. Mostly, it was an affordable option for our current situation and we were able to purchase the warranty as well. But I dont like how short the shelves are and the fact that the butter falls out when I open the door. The shelves arent. The shelves also have limitations as to how deep they are and how far they go back. This makes it hard to shop for foods that come in different packaging all enough to accommodate the drinks.

I purchased an LG oven as a gift for my sons family in February 2013. After 6 months the oven stopped working. My son called LG and had a repair person come to the house. He had to wait over 3 weeks for the appointment, even after offering to be home at any hour. He has small children and trying to make meals for the 3 weeks was a challenge. Once the oven was repaired we all thought it was good to go. In January 2014 the same problem occurred but this time LG said they cannot get the part (after my son and his family waited another 3 weeks for an appointment). My son and I have spoken to LG and they offered to pay us back for what we paid. Of course they refuse to replace it. It is not longer an item that they make and since we got it on sale so a new LG will cost much more than what they are offering to give us. Shame on you LG. When I purchased my oven, not an LG, and it did not work properly, not only was it replace but it was replaced the next day. I will never purchase anything made by LG again. Customer service says it all and LG does not have it. From a customer of anything but LG.

I have called LG customer service numerous times. They told me I was not washing clothes correctly. Im 43, I know how to wash clothes. Suggest that I use a different type of detergent. Tried that... no luck. I will never buy a LG washer and dryer again. Total waste of money!

Purchased an LG (LDF7561ST) dishwasher about a month ago. Had a really bad toxic smell while it was running. Had to turn it off & open the windows. The toxic smell was actually burning my eyes & making me nauseous. I was also concerned about IT BEING a fire hazard. I ran it again the next day (with the windows opened), the smell was there again, but this time I ran the full cycle. The smell became more intense. The dishes didnt dry well and the next day after that, the inside of the dishwasher was still wet.I was thankful I purchase the dishwasher from PC Richards because after I refused to get it fix, they took it away and said I could purchase a different washer. Liking all the features the LG has & thinking the dishwasher had a defect, ON MAY 2, I asked for the same LG dishwasher AND ENDED UP WITH THE SAME TOXIC SMELL AND DISHES WERE STILL SLIGHTLY WET. On May 5, I called PC Richards & complained again. This dishwasher is nothing but a headache! I will never purchase a LG dishwasher again!!!!

Approx 13 months after purchasing this nice LG French Door Refrigerator, Model LFXS30726S, the door display panel had a strange looking black leakage appearing at the bottom. This continues to get worse. It was outside of Mfg warranty (of course), purchased from HHGregg. Took pictures, tried to work with HHGregg, LG, and the service contract company---all said this was a cosmetic issue. No harsh cleaners have been used, no misuse or abuse. Now a year later its even worse. LG customer service is horrible, no help whatsoever. Warranty company continues to say cosmetic. So after spending over $2000 for this refrigerator, its my problem. I will not buy an LG product ever again, and I tell everyone I know to stay away from them. This is why I am writing this review, so other consumers wont be caught in a similar situation.

We are extremely dissatisfied with LGs customer service and lack of commitment to honoring its product warranty. We gave the experience a one star rating as it was the lowest option in order to continue this review, but we would assign a negative rating if that was an option. We bought an entire suite of LG kitchen appliances in 2013. The fridge stopped cooling at the beginning of May, 2019. Since that time, we have paid for service calls by two different repair companies and have made numerous phone calls to LG in an attempt to resolve this problem. LG has agreed that the parts are covered under warranty, but they no longer carry one of the parts (an evaporator). One of their representatives advised us that we could have them try and obtain the part from a third party or file an appeal for a defective unit. After determining that the part through the third party was on backorder and would take at least three weeks to obtain, with no guarantee as to an exact delivery date, we elected to file the appeal. At that point, we had been without a refrigerator for over a month, Several more weeks have gone by. Despite assurances from LG that we would be contacted, we had to call them multiple times for a status update and had to submit the appeal more than once. When we called a few days ago to once again to determine the status of our appeal, we were advised that it had been rejected the week prior (again, nobody from LG contacted us). They claim the appeal was rejected because the part is available through the third party (even though is is on backorder for at least another three weeks). We are fed up with this whole process! We never expected to have to replace a refrigerator that is just 6 1/2 years old - our prior refrigerators each lasted over 20 years. We were hoping that since LG no longer carries the parts necessary to honor their warranty, they would honor a defective unit appeal with at least some type of discounted price on a replacement refrigerator. In researching this issue on the internet, we have seen numerous complaints about LG refrigerators with faulty compressors and poor customer service from LG in attempting to get the problem resolved. Think twice before purchasing a product from LG... We will certainly never buy anything else manufactured by this company.

We made it 4 years with our LG refrigerator, purchased at Lowes. Everything was fine except that it wasnt cooling. Every single thing was fine except the air was blowing warm. No other problems. It was as if it just needed coolant. We have now been without a refrigerator for 10 days and almost every part has been replaced including the compressor, dryer, refrigerant, and other miscellaneous parts. Today we learned that they have to order a circuit board. The repair technician has no sense of urgency and seems totally clueless. We called LG Service to let them know what was happening and they had all the records of our 3 repair visits in the last 10 days but were totally unsympathetic and said that we are stuck until the repair guy can fix it. We bought the annual service agreement for $465 and expect better service for that kind of money. We have lost hundreds of dollars of food and are living out of a cooler. I love LG products but I will never buy another one because the service is the worst we have ever experienced. The only positive thing I can say is that he has used a freaking blow torch on every visit and hasnt damaged our hardwood floors...YET.

I have bought the fridge from Vijay Sales, Pune on 08/08/2014. Since the day of purchase there has been ice crystals formation inside, in the rear wall of the fridge. We have made innumerable complaints at least not less than 4 times. Each time the engineer gives some excuse sets a higher temperature on the fridge and goes way. Unfortunately I have not been at home and my wife gets conned. Now the vegetables have started rotting within 2 to 3 days which is abnormal. The latest complaint no is **. The eng came this time, examine the fridge, increased the temperature to 6 deg Celsius, said that he needed to change the sensor and that was the end of this. As far as I know e. coli starts forming in food articles after 4 deg Celsius. It is extremely distressful to see that an MNC like LG performs like this. I have had innumerable products from LG but this time poor service has crossed the limits. Nothing can change in India. Consumers are helpless. The latest in Maharashtra you have to file complaints in consumer forum in Maharashtrian language. So much for India is for Indians. Better to stay where you were born.

Since that time we have been cleaning it and changing filters every 3 months and it still has gone out 2 more times. Now I have a call into them AGAIN and they are coming out on Aug 18th and LG gave me a ref number so he doesnt charge me because NOW it is out of warranty as they say. They said to call that number and all charges will be covered. I spent over $3000.00 for this refrigerator and it is a piece of garbage! Not to mention all the food that we have lost each time it stops freezing and cooling! Please help us! This just horrible! Diane **

May 2018... My almost 2 year LG French door in black stainless steel stopped cooling. Find out because there was water all over the floor from the ice melting. Lost all my food from fridge and freezer. LG replaced the compressor which lasted 4 days and went out again so of course I lost more food. Had another technician come out and took apart the inside of the refrigerator and found there was a leak. He ordered the new part and LG contacted him and told him it wouldnt be in until the end of July. LG gave me option that they would pay for the remainder value of the refrigerator and deduct the years of use or I would have to keep waiting for the part. I opted to wait for the part because they were only offering me a couple hundred dollars for an almost $3,000 refrigerator. The technician knows that this is an ongoing problem that he has dealt with with many customers around MN. I finally have my refrigerator working as of July 14... Thats 2 months without. Now my worry is for how long??? Another issue is the black stainless steel finish is peeling off of the whole set (microwave, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator). Tiny pieces are coming off in different areas. I dont know how they can get away with this???

Ordered & paid for LG, bottom freezer refrigerator in 2/2014. Delivery was April 1; delivery man lost a part to the doors so didnt close properly. After a LOT of phone calls LG called and delivered a new refrigerator (same model). Two months after use, started whistling. Sounds like the bomb sound effects in old war movies; I timed the whistle... over one minute - each time motor cuts on it whistles. After whistling stops motor runs at an elevated groaning (small aircraft). Called LG for repair (still under warranty); online customer service ignored my request for two months. Finally got a note saying sorry - were having IT issues. They scheduled an appt for a repairman after I called Home Depot (who then called LG). Repairman never showed because the company doesnt service LG unless out of warranty or bought from them (so they told me when I called to find out where they were).Recontacted LG (online chat customer service as it is based in the US) and I keep a transcript of conversations. Week later, awaiting repairman. Refrigerator 5 months old. After reading all comments, I am fearful for the next 7 months. I will not ever buy an LG again purely because their customer service quality is - well I am not suppose to write what I am thinking... How do we stop this company from selling in the US? Who do we complain to? Federal Trade Commission? BBB? Who else?

Purchased an LG refrigerator from Best Buy 2 years ago. Refrigerator stoppe
Purchased an LG refrigerator from Best Buy 2 years ago. Refrigerator stopped working a week and a half ago. LG ran a diagnostic over the phone and determined the compressor went out. LG has a 10 year warranty on their compressors (along with the warranty we purchased) but refused to fix the refrigerator if we didnt pay $298 for a service call and compressor replacement. Despite our push back because of the warranty, LG stated thats how it works and continued to refuse service without up front payment. We regrettably paid the money last week. LG has since then given us the runaround. Customer service and customer resolution is awful. They offer no resolution and not only made it our responsibility to call repair companies from a list they gave us but lied to us twice telling us that each of the repairmen who showed up would have the compressor and fix our refrigerator. So now LG has our money and we are continuing to keep our daughters milk in an ice chest while we have a broken refrigerator. I cannot express in enough detail how horrible LGs customer service is. I am in total shock. Ive never dealt with a more incompetent company than LG. #neverpurchaseagain

This is by far the worst dishwasher Ive ever owned and was the most expensive one! The tines constantly collapse and allow the dishes to tip over. The soap dispenser door is tricky to get closed. Sometimes it wont dispense at all. If the door does come open usually only half the soap is dispensed. It doesnt clean anything. We practically wash every dish before loading, and when you go to unload, half are still dirty. The upper rack will not hold any sized glass or cup well. They constantly tip over. This dishwasher has broke more glassware than you can imagine. The lower rack doesnt want to roll in and out without coming off the track. I hate this dishwasher.

Bought a Kenmore Elite French Door Refrigerator 795.74032.411 in July 2015
Bought a Kenmore Elite French Door Refrigerator 795.74032.411 in July 2015 and really regret that decision. Less than 30 day after the 1 year warranty expired, got an error code indicating there was a bad control board or fan. Tech replaced the fan was first and that did not fix the issue, so then control board. Reading on line reports, this was a known issue with the LG control board. So $350 later, it was working again. Then a few month later, the ice maker started icing up. Turns out that the waterline running into the door has a know issue also. So tech had to order a new door (over $500) and with labor, total cost was over $850 for that failure. About a year later, started hearing a loud noise when a fan kicked on. This turned out to be a bad fan behind the rear panel in the refrigerator section. That was a $200 dollar repair (parts and labor).Shortly after that repair, the same fan started making noise again. This time the housing around the fan had shifted because of tension being place on the housing that way it is installed, making contact with the fan blades. Tech was able to readjust the housing to not touch the fan blades. But another $100 service charge. Now the Sealed System is out. The Sealed System is under warranty, but very hard to find anyone to do the repair. Sears is coming out next week, but the warranty only covers the parts. So labor will be $99 just to get them to look at it. The tech that looked at it yesterday (another $100 charge), indicates it likely the compressor, but he was not allowed to replace parts covered by warranty. Said I had to contact a Sears or LG for warranty repairs.

When our old refrigerator quit a little over 2 years ago, my wife and I shopped around and decided to purchased a new LG refrigerator. When the door panel control indicated we needed to replace the air and water filters, we ordered replacements but before the replacement arrived the cooling shut off completely and we lost everything in the refrigerator. We later learned that if the filters are not replaced immediately the cooling shuts off. A little over a week ago and without filter replacement warnings, the refrigerator and freezer stopped working altogether. Again, we lost everything in the refrigerator and freezer. LG customer service was not helpful. We were told a repairman would contact us within 24 hours. 48 hours later my wife tracked down the repairman. I note it was not the repairmans fault. The repairman said the electrical operating panel, compressor and something other part were all bad and had to be replaced. Basically rebuilding the refrigerator. Repairman would order the parts. 6 days later we are still waiting. Using a dorm refrigerator from my office to keep milk cold for our two kids. LGs customer service has been totally inadequate and very disappointing.

Purchased a new LG refrigerator and glass top LG range from Lowes, Kailua Kona in 09/2016. From day 1 the range was faulty. Burners flickered on and off every 2 seconds regardless of how high unit was set. Store said this was normal. Shortly after, the outside coil to one of the larger burners stopped working. Refrigerator - we were not aware of a slow leak inside the water dispenser until rust appeared at the rim of the dispenser and caused the stainless steel film to come off. In researching online it is known that LG is aware of the refrigerator water dispenser issues. We did have the range repaired while under warranty but because we were not aware of the slow leak in the fridge we will need to cover the $800 cost to replace door and dispenser ourselves. This is unfair given LG is aware they sold an appliance with a defective water/ice dispenser.

LG has stated multiple times they will continue to inconvenience us as long as they can keep replacing compressors. They only offered a one time $200 refund for food lost. I purchased an LG Washing machine with the pedestal back in April of 2010 for $1,309.95 from P.C. Richards. After 3-years and 4-months, my machine stopped spinning and had a loud squeaking noise. I paid about $400.00 in repairs at that time for a power cord and the computer control panel which completely burnt out. After the P.C. Richards Repair Man left, I washed exactly 2-loads of clothes before the washer stopped spinning and I had to call the Repair man back from P.C. Richards to find out what the problem was. Well after the 4th visit from P.C. Richards Repair Men, I was told that a Ball Barren was missing and it would be a very expensive job to do. With that being said, I went for a second opinion and was told that was indeed the problem which would cost me $500.00 to repair. You know when people purchase expensive appliances like washers and dryers from Manufacturers like LG, they expect the product to last at least 10 to 15 years. I am deeply disgusted and appalled. What can I do to seek punitive damages? I am a working mother of 3 and am at a hardship to make ends meet and cannot afford a new washer right now which I was told by the repairman I should purchase a new machine. We bought our LG fridge (model # LBC22520SW /03) new back in 2011 (it was on back-order at the time, because apparently many others were duped into purchasing this piece of junk). It is now one year old. I never knew an appliance could simultaneously be so cheap and yet so expensive. The first time I had to call the repairman was three months after the purchase (he didnt even call me back until two days later; by that time, I had fixed the stupid thing myself). The problem, ironically, is that the freezer fan cannot operate under cold conditions. We cant use our ice maker or it will make the fan freeze over, which in turn makes the freezer and fridge stop working. But it doesnt stop there! If we fill our freezer 1/4 full with food, it makes the freezer too cold and the fan will freeze over, and again the fridge stops working. But wait, theres more ... Weve now lowered the freezer temperature to its lowest setting, but apparently thats still too cold for this cheap fan to handle. Thawing the fan with boiling water has now become an activity that we must do twice daily. Weve lost hundreds of dollars worth of food, not to mention the overpriced cost of the fridge to begin with. Do yourself a favor and dont buy an LG fridge!

I have a brand new refrigerator LRDC2603S delivered on 9/12/2020. The refrigerator did not cool to 37 degrees & remain hot at 45+ degrees. We changed the setting to 33 but the fridge temp was only able to cool to 44 degrees. After numerous phone calls & with technician repaired it 4 times, the fridge temperature is still too hot, over 42 degrees. I have bought a refrigerator thermometer to monitor the temperature.Every time calling LG, it takes at least an hour before somebody answered the phone. Most of the time, you cant get hold of anybody. I was totally flabbergasted when a customer rep asked me whether I had done my troubleshooting after I called back to report the fridge still not working properly after another repair service. The technician was very nice & professional. Its the customer service people that are supposed to provide services that I have problem with. They are either non-responsive or rude or give you the merry go round or totally incompetent. And they will forward my phone call to another dept & then the phone was dropped. Nobody really tried to resolve the issue and give us a solid answer. The issue is very clear. Fridge didnt cool to the set temperature. If you cant fix it, replace it. And when I told them of my food keep getting spoiled. Their typical answer is sending me a link to report it so I can claim. Fridge was delivered last Sept. Its been 8 months and somebody supposed to get back to me. I am still waiting. Its 8 months already.....

The fuse blew in my fridge. Unfortunately, it is soldered to the motherboard. I called LG and they refused to give me a part number to replace the motherboard. They said only a qualified tech could order the part, which means BIG $$$ for the part and BIG $$$ for service and repair. All this for one inexpensive little fuse!!! I will NEVER buy LG again!!! Nothing!!! There are LG motherboards on eBay but I am unable to purchase one because they refused to give me the part number!

We recently purchased an LG gas range. We paid more and got the higher-end model. Like other people have reviewed is very dangerous. You bump into the knobs and the gas leaks out you dont know it happens unless you smell it or you hear the clicking. LG needs to do something about this Dangerous gas oven.I turn the oven on with my pocketbook. I reach up into the microwave. The oven turns on. Its crazy. If you have little children around its very dangerous and you have to remove the knobs. That looks great. Not when you have spent close to $1,500 on the oven. Yesterday I baked cookies with the grandchildren and the cookies in the front were not as cooked as the ones in the back. Thats another problem. I added a photo with three of the knobs off, doesnt that look like **.

I was cleaning my refrigerator. The glass that covers the crisper drawers shattered. It was terrifying. When I called LG, they refused to replace the glass because I had purchased the refrigerator 13 months prior. It was out of warranty. I find this unacceptable. Fortunately, I was not injured by the glass, but I will never buy an LG product again and I will discourage everyone I know from purchasing a LG product also.

I purchased the LG Smart Drum top-loading washing machine a few years ago. The clothes come out very wrinkled. I now put almost all my laundry in the dryer; it helps remove the severe wrinkling. I used to just hang clothes up after washing them. Now it takes more energy: my own, and the electricity. I just finished ironing a top which I have had for well over a decade, used to just remove it, nice and clean, from my beloved Kenmore front loader, and hang it up. This was the case with all my clothes. I purchased my machine at The Brick, had to leave the country for a few months, and when I returned it was too late to have the unit replaced. Cant really fault The Brick, but they should know these machines are not-so-great. I have read the other reviews on this site, and my experience is not as truly awful as many others. But I will stay well away from LG in the future, and do more homework before purchasing.

I had purchased a suite of appliances and feel they should provide better customer service.

I dont trust any of the side loaders due to the possibility of water leaking around the door seal. Price was discounted for a holiday, from Lowes. Lowes installation bothered me a lot. This washer and dryer replaced Kenmores that were 25 years old, and still running. Quality means a lot to me. I expect these LGs to last at least as long as my 25 year old Kenmores since engineering and technology MUST have improved in the last 25 years. After a year, I am very happy with the LGs. Occasionally, the washer cant balance the load and I have to redistribute the washer contents. Note that the basin spins at over 1000 rpm, so a balanced load is critical. Thats okay. I thought the vast number of washing options were way too many, so too the dryer. But I guess some owners will use options that I dont. The clothes load size is really big. You will need very long arms to reach the bottom of the washer to pull out all the items.

Please be a prudent shopper when buying this unit. We purchased this refrigerator (LG Linear Compressor Refrigerator) two years ago and paid about $1000 extra for a counter depth unit. That brought the price just close to $3700.00. I did not get the warranty because I thought it would last at least five years. Nope. The Error Code E-IF comes on at least once a month. The refrigerator went in bad order about six months after we bought it. Luckily the year warranty was still good. Just about every month now, I have to use a hair dryer and defrost the unit so my family can get ice and water through the door. That is not good for a unit of this price. At first, I would pull the unit out and unplugging it for at least four hours. That is not good when the thing weighs a ton and it has to sit in the middle of the kitchen. I have now found a YouTube video of another customer that uses a ladys hair dryer to defrost the unit. I have began using a hair dryer to defrost the unit as well. It is much faster. Searching the internet, I have found other people who reported this is not a great unit to buy and they too have had many problems. LG should issue a recall or reach out to the many customers who have complained about this unit. I think that will go a long way to making the consumer happy. Again, it is the ice maker that is horrible.UPDATE on 04/08/2017: I had a service person come out and they told me my electronics board and the fan at the bottom of the unit needed replacing. Mind you, we have had this unit (LG Linear Compressor Refrigerator) less than five years. The technician said company recommended a new board and a new ice fan. The board only cost .74 cents. That is right.. Only 74 cents. I find that strange. Seems to me that board was bad. The Ice Fan was a tad more costly. Anyway the job came up to over $300 to repair. Issue one. I had to wait for the electronics board and the fan to arrive. The next service date that I could get was six days from the initial visit. So, I had no ice and water through the door. We survived. We knew that the unit would be fixed in a couple days. Six days later (yesterday) the technician comes out and installs the parts. Refrigerator worked well for ONE day. Just looked at it and a different Error Code is on R-DH. Are you kidding me? This thing cost too much to have all these problems. The fix for this is to unplug the unit and then allow it to reset. So, I have to pull it out from the wall again. How many times, I can could. Maybe I should keep track. I will do this. If it does not work, LG website suggests a service call. Wow.

I purchased a brand new LG top loading washing machine and dryer a few months ago and have had nothing but problems with the washing machine. Not only does it NOT clean my clothes, but it actually causes yellow stains to appear on my white cottons. I have contacted LG a number of times and they have just given me the Royal runaround with absolutely NO satisfaction. They have had me do smart analyses and even sent a serviceman to my house twice when I have tried explaining to them multiple times that there is nothing mechanical wrong with the machine...its just a manufacturers design defect (that would be LG). They refuse to listen or agree. I have tried 5 different detergents and now they want me to try pods and even buy a water softener which I do not need because my water is not hard. I had a Kenmore for many years before this lemon, and it worked just fine with my water. I begged LG to exchange this washer for one that actually cleans since I have a warranty as well as an extended warranty and they refuse to do anything at all. They asked for images of the damaged clothes which I sent and cant even get a call back not to mention the fact that the call center is in the Philippines and communication is very difficult and frustrating. They have worn me down which Im sure has been their purpose. My husband and I went out today and had to purchase a new washer and dryer and pay a whole lot more money and take a beating. LG should be ashamed for giving us NO assistance with this faulty product. We did NOT purchase an LG product today nor will we ever purchase one again. They are NOT honorable with their guarantees. So, Buyer Beware! I am happy to lend further info or advice to anyone who wishes to contact me.

LG LFX21960 - We have had our LG French door water dispensing refrigerator for 5 years and what a waste of money it has been. The ice crisper drawers are cheaply made and fall off their track on a weekly basis. This problem began happening within a year of use. In the last year (so 4 years of use), our interior light bulb malfunctioned and melted its own plastic casing, our ice maker has broken and had to be replaced, and our water line (the one that runs the ice and water of the refrigerator) has sprung 2 separate pinhole leaks. Those leaks have caused water damage to our kitchen floor as well as the wall behind the refrigerator. All of the problems have been fixed at our expense. Not only that, we have had to use the LG service repairman to come out and fix our model. We have not been able to use our own repair service. I will never buy an LG product again!

My compressor failed while my family and I were out of town recently. We lost everything that was in the freezer section and also everything on the refrigerator side of the unit. The process of getting the compressor fixed through warranty services was extremely easy. It was fixed within a week. But, I had estimated to the LG customer service rep that I had lost between 250-300 dollars in meat and fish that I had in the freezer along with all of the contents of the refrigerator side. LG sent me a check for 150.00 which helped with the loss but did not replace everything that was lost from the compressor failure. So, I was displeased in the fact that I had to replace what was lost even though it was not my fault and LG should have replaced the contents completely. Richard

I just got a call from LG that they will prorate and give me $333. Thats nonsense. The user guide says, Your LG refrigerator will be repaired or replaced at LGs option... It doesnt tell me anywhere in here that it will be prorated and I get less money than what I paid Sears ($294.24) and LG ($89.00) for determining the issue. I had Sears to checkout the refrigerator and 3 trips, they determined the leak is from the cabinet. They said I have to go to LG. I called LG and they said they wont take Sears word and documentation, and I have to get an LG repairman to come and look at it. The LG guy showed up and told me yep, thats it. Not repairable and should be replaced by LG. LG called me today and they are going to give me less than what I paid to tell them the sealed system that has 7-year warranty is bad. Two months after the warranty expired, all 3 circuit boards went out. This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Wee
This is long, lots to cover. When our old fridge died over Memorial Day Weekend in 2015, we were rushed to replace it --- and have regretted that ever since. We purchased an LG French door fridge at a major retailer, with just the one day to do research (because, our old one had died and wed already lost a couple hundred dollars in perishable food and had kids to feed). The linear compressor promised to be quiet, efficient, and durable - the literature boasts that an officially proven 20-year-durable lifespan realizes your peace-of-mind.At first, it was great - because it was new. Just ten months in, however, we began having problems as the fridge developed a clicking sound when the fan (compressor?) kicked on, and then a couple weeks later got an error code on the panel and the fridge stopped cooling. We lost another fridge full of groceries, and called LG for repair. It was well under warranty, being just one year old.The technician they dispatched called us before showing up, and told us this is a common problem - and that we have to defrost our frost-less new fridge when we hear that clicking because it means ice is building up inside on the fan. OK... So we did that, and the fridge began working again (this is in May/June 2016). Then, like clockwork yearly, we would hear the clicking and do the overnight defrost (2017, and 2018).So again it began clicking again in early July 2019, and we got ready to do the same thing - except instead, the fridge just quit working entirely on July 9th 2019 while we were at work and we came home to a flooded kitchen (from the melted ice) and once again, had to toss a fridge full of perishable foods (second time with this fridge). We unplugged it and left it overnight to defrost, as before, and plugged it back in on the 10th (empty). Left it for the day while at work, and when we came home the inside of the fridge was over 70*, clearly not cooling, but no errors on the panel, so I called LG for service on July 11th. This begins the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any manufacturer.July 11th: talked to condescending service rep who eventually agreed that we needed a service call. Scheduled it for July 16th (earliest available), and gave me a confirmation number which I read back. I arranged to take a half-day off work to be home for the 8-12 hour window. He says that luckily Im still within the 5-year warranty; I tell him my paperwork says it is 7 years warranty. He updates my account... Then assures me that the parts are covered under the warranty and I will only have to pay the labor for the service call.July 16th: at 11am, I called LG to check the ETA of the tech so I could update my office on when I would be in. Was told that my tech had just finished a call in a town 15 minutes from me, and that I was next on his list. At 12:15 still no tech, so I called back --- and was told that my service was completed. Spent quite a bit of time on the phone to learn that the confirmation number I was given was for someone else, and that I had no service call scheduled after all. I was quite angry, as Id stayed home for this and had been without a fridge for a week already. The person I spoke to said she was in the escalation department and she promised to call me within an hour with a resolution to get my fridge fixed, that her supervisors assured her it would be done that day.At 1:40 I called back (because, surprise - no call from LG and no tech) even angrier because I was no closer to a working fridge AND now Id lost a full day of work without pay. Im not allowed to talk to the same person I spoke to at 12:15, because she is helping other customers... Am told there is no way they can fix my fridge today but they will dispatch my call to an authorized service repair center, who would schedule a new service date. An hour later I get a call from said service repair center ---- who informed me that they dont service my area because they are in a different STATE. Yep, that last LG rep sent to the wrong repair center. So I call LG again (4th time this day), and this time Im told that I have to wait for the system to call me to schedule something, but that would be either today or tomorrow. Its 3:30 at this point. The rep cant help any further. Next day, by 4pm, still no call so I phone LG again. This rep tells me it can take 3-5 days for the system to call me to schedule something.... Each time I call, Im given a different scenario, none of which are getting my fridge fixed. The next day (July 18th), I get an email cancelling my appointment - which I havent been able to make so I dont know what this is for. July 19th: I call again because still nothing and its been ten days since my fridge broke. This rep is able to schedule a service call (what happened to the system??), and we set it for July 24th, next available day.July 23rd: given the absurd hassle Ive had to deal with to get this fridge fixed, I call in to confirm my appointment for the next day because I cant lose yet another day from work and have no tech show up. Am told parts were ordered on the 19th (which parts? the ones that always break, that fancy compressor that is supposed to be so great and durable but only lasted four years). This time the rep tells me that they have extended a courtesy warranty to cover the labor in addition to the parts, and that they received a couple of complaints. I have talked to 8 different LG customer service reps by this time, expressing many complaints from me on this whole fiasco, especially against that first rep who didnt bother to schedule a tech at all and cost me a days wages. The rep also said a grocery reimbursement would be sent in a couple of weeks for the inconvenience. This is the first Ive heard about this option.July 24th: my fridge is finally fixed, with a new compressor. The tech did not charge us for the visit, so at least that part LG honored. Fifteen days to get the fridge fixed, replacing a part that was the big selling point, four years and two months after we bought it. We lost tons of perishable food from the fridge and freezer (it holds a lot!), and two full days of work without pay. For two weeks weve had to eat out/eat convenience food because a picnic cooler just doesnt work that well to hold perishable foods that long, and its the middle of summer; it is an expensive way to eat! Now we wait for whatever grocery reimbursement they deem sufficient to compensate us, and count the days until the fridge breaks again, hoping it is still under warranty when it does. I dont trust this fridge at all. But we paid $3k for it, and cant afford to replace it yet. The environmental impact of manufacturers building appliances that fail after just a few years has got to be enormous and I wish there were lemon law type of things we consumers could count on for better durability.

I did not know about this site when we purchased our LG products, freestanding double oven electric range, french door refrigerator and washer and dryer. Had the microwave but took it back right away as it was so dark inside and the light very dim. Bought a KitchenAid microwave and previously dishwasher. I have a problem with the self-clean feature of the oven. I have broiled steaks on the quick broil feature. Guess what when you use this feature, the fat will splatter inside the oven. After cooking the steaks I cleaned the oven but the floor of the oven in front of the door did not clean. It looked really baked on and you could not wipe it clean at all. I have the blue enamel oven. I did not touch this area - afraid I would void the warranty so called the executive warranty dept. Spoke with Wendy and she said they should be able to schedule an appt for Friday. Waited for the call but none came so we assumed they would show up on Friday.NO SHOW NO CALL. Called back and Wendy said her computer was down but we did get a response to schedule for the following Friday. Repair guy said it should not have done that either. Called Tech department and they told my husband to put wet paper towels over the area and use the easy clean feature. It did remove the baked on mess so they told us they would not warranty it. I was so madddd!!! I called and spoke with Brenda ** and she told me I didnt need to get an attitude with her. I explained that I am allowed to cook in the oven and that food will splatter (she said splatters are not covered by warranty). The oven has a self-clean feature and of course LG expects food to be splattered why else would you have a self-clean feature? I expect it to work and not to have to clean it first before I use the self-clean feature. The feature cleaned the oven beautifully except the foot and half area in front of the door.I told the rep that I felt it was a seal problem and it wasnt getting hot enough in that particular area to clean the food. She was going to check with her tech and emailed me that it was not covered under warranty. I emailed her back that was unacceptable. I wanted the general managers number and I was going to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals Office. I will not give up. I know they want me to cause our warranty is about up also and if they stall me then they wont have to deal with it. Now I just need to figure out how to contact him but am filing a complaint with both agencies. I did not know about this site before buying our products.

I bought a two drawer LG refrigerator last July and two days ago the freezer stopped freezing and the fridge stopped cooling. I called LG and they said that the earliest a technician could come out to look at it was in 4 days. I kept my cool and told the lady that this is not my problem and that she needed to let me know when the technician would be at my house. We talked for an hour, she kept telling me that the repair persons dont work on the weekend and I explained to her that this is not acceptable and to please call me back to let me know when someone would be at my house to fix the fridge which by the way is under warranty. She hasnt called back. I had to throw out the contents of the freezer and the fridge except for the ketchup.Apparently they have a process to refund damage or soiled goods but I have yet to receive the email from them to fill it out and send it in. I suggested that she call Lowes and have them send me a new fridge as I know they keep inventory in their stores. She seemed confused when I said this and I asked her where she was located. She said in the Philippines. I kept conversing with her and asked her what she would do if it was her family that didnt have a fridge to cool food products. She didnt seem to have an answer. All in all LG stands for Lifes good, well Lifes not so good in my house. I doubt I will buy an LG product ever ever again.

Purchased product for new home in early 2015. Two and a half years later, (before the fourth of July holiday), it died. Stopped cooling. Waited for several days, since repairman came to our area once a week. But that was just the service call. After close to $1,000.00 in labor, service call and tax, one week later the repairs were made. Refrigerator worked until lo and behold two years later almost to the day, the same issues occurred. JUNE 13, 2019 to be exact. This was a Wednesday and of course the day service is available in our area is Tuesday, we waited a week for the service call and a second week for repair. Compressor and several other parts replaced again. As the repairman was getting ready to leave, the fridge DIED. He stated he knew something was really wrong with our unit and claimed it unrepairable.Enter LG. No you need to replace the heat exchanger. It is now over two weeks since this repair and still no fix for refrigerator and it is Wednesday so you can bet no resolution until AT LEAST next Tuesday if at all. Mind you we are under warranty for parts and labor which we should have been two years ago also. We will never and will advertise to all the new builds on our community website to stay away from LG Refrigerators. Spent over 2 hours on the phone with LG service and no help whatsoever. We bought a side by side Refrigerator Freezer in June of 2015, on August 10th it decided to die. I believe it was the compressor. I called LG and they gave me 3 different numbers to call. Two of them were out of state. I called the first number and they said they would charge me $600 just to come look at it, and then they would have to order parts. In the mean time all of my food was spoiling. Neither of the other two numbers answered their phones. Obviously no one was available to even look at the refrigerator. Its not like We were forced to go buy a new one you can go for weeks without a refrigerator. I will never buy another LG product, as the reviews show they make defective products.

Model Name: WM3470HVA
Model Name: WM3470HVA Purchase Date: 9/22/2012. Place of Purchase: SEARS. Water started leaking at the front bottom a month ago. This issue is unacceptable. I had to pay for the Sears Tech to fix it. Please be aware before purchasing your new washer.

We purchased an LG front loading washer, WM2101H, almost 3 years ago. I thought the bad smells from the washer was our water (we have hard public well water). Reading the reviews, I can see I was mistaken. Just recently our washer stopped spinning. We called out a repairman who told us that is would cost $850 to repair and oh, by the way, only $205 is covered under warranty. It wasnt just one thing. It was the seal that broke which caused the motor to get wet? I dont remember exactly the chain of events. I was in stun mode when I talked to the repairman. He said that the washer does really bad with hard water and water softener. Funny, they never told us that when we bought the thing. Im pretty upset! We only paid less than $800 for the washer to begin with. I will never buy anything LG again!

Well, Im thoroughly disappointed with my Tromm washer and dryer. The latest failure was the last straw. I have now officially paid more for repairs than I paid for the appliances, and they have been banished to the garage, and hopefully Ill find a buyer, but the word must be out about LG, because Ive had no takers. The washer never has cleaned well, and took forever to do that. The technician said to get a top-load domestic brand, so I went to Lowes and purchased the largest top loader with a spindle that GE makes.Im through with LG, and the repairman said Samsung is no better. So, I guess you could say Im through with Korean products. Thank you very much Korea. Isnt it hysterical that the pendulum has finally swung back towards American products being more reliable and well-built? The way it used to be when I was growing up. Heres the really ironic part. When I bought the Tromm, I sold a Kenmore Series 80 pair to a friend for $100.00. She is still using them and has never had to have a repair. I want them back! I guess the joke is on me, but you know what they say: Fool me once...

LG gaskets for French door model never sealed properly when I bought a few
LG gaskets for French door model never sealed properly when I bought a few years ago. The gaskets would sometimes keep door from closing completely, but light and warning beeper would deactivate. Many times we would come back to refrigerator finding one door slightly ajar. LG help desk said to firmly close it and this was due to a tight, but normal fit. They were no help. Now, the top door gaskets have torn on both sides. LG said it has been over 1 year and I am s.o.l. They said there have not been any recalls and it has never been a problem. I went to appliance store and every make & model of refrigerators including LG had a new design of the gasket with a flap on top and bottom of gasket. LG said that my refrigerator gaskets can be replaced, but they are the original design. I contacted one of the certified LG repair service and they gave me a quote of $250 to replace gaskets. When I checked online, other owners of LG models like mine have had similar problems. I ordered both gaskets for $74 shipping included and installed them myself after viewing a YouTube demo. It was really easy and took about 15 minutes. Dont bother with LG customer service, it is a waste of time. LG does not mean Life is Good. It means Lucky Gold Star and you really need the luck for this appliance because quality & customer service has been deleted.

I have the French door with bottom freezer and I love it. At the bottom I have 2 drawers, that way I do not have to dig too deep. Love the way its laid out. On the downside you have to have a second freezer if you really like to cook!! LG makes great appliances!!!
