Our LG refrigerator wasnt 3 years old and the compressor went. It was cover
Our LG refrigerator wasnt 3 years old and the compressor went. It was covered under a 10 year warranty through LG. 2 days after it broke a LG repairman came out and said it would be a 6 week wait for a compressor. That was unacceptable. Tried calling LG customer service a few times. And kept getting the runaround. We bought it at Best Buy. LG was telling us that Best Buy was responsible even though its on paper that the compressor is LGs responsibility. They did not want to give me what I paid for and deserved. Either a repair in a timely manner or a replacement. After 3 weeks and help from Best Buy I finally got approved for a new refrigerator. And needless to say I did not get a LG this time around. I wouldnt buy an alarm LG alarm clock.

This washer has many problems. The timer gets stuck. It will say it has 30 minutes until finished, but 20 minutes later, it still says it has 30 minutes to go. It does not get clothes clean. Clothes get tangled in a ball, then the machine gets unbalanced. But, worst of all, I have had many things ruined - they come out with what looks like bleach spots and I dont use bleach. I dont know what causes that problem. I wish I had never bought this machine.

I bought 2!!!! stacked washer and dryers. It came with no parts to change it from shipping to useable! I have been waiting weeks and weeks for LG to send me the parts. My machines are just sitting here. The co. I bought it from and LG are blaming each other and no one will just send the parts. The LG book says DO NOT USE if you dont have these parts. But they wont send them or pick them up and let me get a set that has the parts. I have been on hold with customer service of LG for 2+ hours 3 times and they say they will send them and then dont! This is the biggest joke. I am stuck with two machines that dont work. NEVER PURCHASE LG unless you are good with a product that just sits there because once you pay not their issue.

We purchased the LG WM3700HWA front loading washing machine to replace an earlier model that had begun leaking after 11 years of use. This is a workhorse as we have 3 adults and three boys ages 5-9 that keep the laundry running 2-3 times per day. We are very satisfied with the performance and clothes come out clean... Most of the factory set cycles are perfect for our needs. We highly recommend this washing machine.

My newly purchased LG refrigerator had a continuous leak/drip from the wate
My newly purchased LG refrigerator had a continuous leak/drip from the water dispenser immediately after installation. After six attempts to fix it, LG decided to deem it normal rather than fixing the problem. A few weeks after owning this refrigerator, water started dripping from the water filter inside the refrigerator. LG refused to fix this issue and told me that I would have to pay for the repair. In my interactions with LG, the customer service supervisor was demeaning, condescending, rude, and unhelpful. I wrote LG corporate headquarters to notify them of my horrible experience with LG and to ensure that they knew that I was unhappy with their product and their customer service. Their response was that the refrigerator was working as designed. They never apologized for my experience. After owning this refrigerator for less than 3 months and it never working right, I decided to call the place that I purchased to exchange to a different brand. I will never purchase any LG product again and I would recommend that you look at a different brand like KitchenAid or Kenmore.

We bought our LG French Door (door in door) Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in
We bought our LG French Door (door in door) Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October of 2014 |Model#LMXS30776S/00| when we built our home (along with an LG dishwasher, stove, microwave and washer and dryer). At $3,999.00, we really hoped it would last without problems. Unfortunately I didnt read any reviews before purchasing ALL LG appliances... what a mistake! On September 18, 2017, I came home from work to find that everything in my refrigerator was barely cool and everything in the freezer had completely melted! My brother-in-law is an electrician and works on appliances so I called him to check it out. After determining that the compressor had gone bad, we called LG to order the part. We spoke to someone who transferred us to tech support. When we requested the part, they said they needed an LG certified technician authorization code and we couldnt order the part because my brother-in-law was not a certified LG repairman. They gave me the numbers of 3 certified technicians that were over 100 miles away because there were none in my area. After calling them to come diagnose the problem so LG would make good on the 10-year compressor warranty, they refused to come out because... and I quote... we dont like to work on LG appliances because they are a pain and good luck finding someone to work on it. Not to mention it wouldve been upwards of $500.00 for them to travel that distance just to verify that it was actually the compressor when we already knew that. So we called LG back and told them we couldnt get an LG repairman to come look at it but that we knew the problem so could we please just order the part. They were extremely rude to both myself and my brother-in-law and would not even let us order the part. So I paid almost $4000.00 for this refrigerator that lasted less than 3 years, and I have no right to access the parts even though the LG service centers in my area will not come to my home and diagnose the problem. We went on Sears Parts Direct and found the compressor for $250.00 thank goodness and my brother-in-law is installing it. I still find it ridiculous that I have to pay out of pocket for a part that is supposedly covered under warranty... but I will gladly pay that just to not have to deal with talking to them on the phone again. If you buy a super expensive LG thinking it will last, think again. And if the fact that the parts are covered under warranty gives you peace of mind and they will make good on the warranties... dont count on it. Moral of the story... dont buy an LG anything. Fingers crossed that my other appliances last longer than this one did.

LG was nice enough to replace the exterior of our appliances upon the finish was chipping off. But 10 mins after the repair person for the refrigerator left, the unit report an error code and the Ice & Water dispenser stopped working. I immediately called LG and they stated someone will call me within 24-48 hrs to schedule repair, this was on Friday afternoon. I called LG on Tuesday, stating I have not gotten a call back - they stated it hasnt been the full 24-48 hrs yet. So, I called again on Wednesday and they were surprised I didnt get a call and told me I show call someone else, at which point I asked to speak to supervisor and they transferred me to the Executive Customer Service... Spoke with that person and they basically stated its 3-5 business days to receive a call... I stated, But that not what I was told and this is because your person broke my refrigerator... shouldnt you expedite it since you caused the problem. Essential I got nowhere with this person. I sent an email that day Wed. 12/11/2019 to Head of Support and CEO... never heard a response from my email - so LG basically doesnt care.

LG Easy Clean option is a terrible oven. It will not get clean using water. Customer Service recommend using a scrapper, but not too harsh. Cannot use chemical cleaning. Water alone and scrapper will not fully clean oven. Extremely dissatisfied. I thought the easy clean option meant self cleaning. Do not buy this product unless you dont care about having a spot free oven. Did not get my monies worth. Paid 800 dollars, why would I think it didnt come with a self cleaning option?

My old washing machine gave out and I invested in what I thought was going
My old washing machine gave out and I invested in what I thought was going to be a good washer. I decided to splurge a bit in order to get a good washer. I purchased from a 3rd party (JCPenney) so it took 4 weeks plus an additional 2 weeks because it was on back order. So for 6 weeks I was going to the laundromat. I took the day off work to be available for delivery. The delivery guys dropped it off, hooked it up and checked it and it was working. I did my first load of laundry and it would not complete a load. It gave me an error message. All day long I tried different ways around it and nothing. My husband changed the water hoses since it said it was the water pressure and nothing. We called LG that evening and basically was told because it was the water pressure in our home that they would not send a repairman. Our house is very new and our old washer worked fine water pressure wise. We told them to just take it back then and they agreed.Very long story short they would tell us they would take it back and or send a repairman and nothing would happen. We would call back and same promises and nothing. JCPenney has called them various times to have them send someone to repair and they refuse. Now its 2 weeks out and we, JCPenney and even the delivery people have called various times to get it repaired or returned and they refuse. Its insane were having to go through this kind of trouble when its brand new out of the box and we bought warranties on it. Im extremely disappointed in the way LG is handling this situation and I will never buy another LG appliance in my life nor will I recommend to anyone that they do either. They have lost a good customer because we are loyal to brands that are good to us. I wish they would just take this dang washer, refund us and we could just get a different brand. Never again will I make the mistake of buying LG.

Bought an LG electric range from Lowes. LRE3083st 5 mos. ago still in warranty. First time we used the self clean oven set on 3 hrs (it can also be set on 4 or 5 hrs), the oven and the top burners got so hot that it melted the cabinet doors beside the stove. Talked to several people at customer service, sent all requested documents, got the run around. Finally they refused to do anything about it. Said we must have inferior cabinets. We are afraid of this stove, we think it is a fire hazard. LG products are crap and their customer service is non-existent. BUYER BEWARE!

My refrigerator is 4 months old. Recently we came home to a strong acetone smell in the house and noticed that appliance was not cooling. Called LG for warranty repair and they set up a service visit for 2 days later. I called the service company 3 times that day to confirm, left messages without hearing back. Missed one day of work. Called LG that same Friday and was told to a service company would come out the next Monday (3 more days with no fridge). They arrived Monday and determined that there was a Freon leak in one of the coils. They ordered parts. I then called LG and requested that they replace the 4-month old appliance and they refused. They said that the repair service would have to label the unit unrepairable. The parts then arrived on Wed. I called the service company and they came out in Thursday to complete the repair (3 days of missing work). After the repair in Friday, (9 days without fridge) the acetone smell continued for several hours. The freezer never really kicked in. I am now attempting to set up another service call. DO NOT BUY LG APPLIANCES!!!

We have had nothing but problems with our LG front loader. Any efficiency savings were eaten up in repairs and having to wash on super duty just to get stuff cleaned. The odor problem is the absolute worst. I just pulled out the detergent area and it was absolutely caked with black mold. It was the worst on the areas where the water is dispensed through. This means that no solutions of solvents would ever get to that source because its before the detergent area entry. We use the special detergents and they take care of he smell for only a few days. Who wants to spend all that time and money maintaining a washing machine. It is supposed to help us simplify our lives. I also had to drain it many times manually to remove the small items that get into and clog the drainage system. How does that possibly happen? That is a seriously flawed design problem. I have read many of the other complaints and they are all the same. At what point can we file a class action lawsuit against this company which has a very poor quality product?

Updated on 08/12/2019: I posted a review of LG refrigerator here a while ago. I described how shortly after the warranty ended, it needed a circuit board replaced and every shelf cracked. LG responded to me claiming this was unusual and they wanted to take care of it. They asked me for more and more information, model, serial number, date of purchase, photos, etc. This went on for several weeks. Finally they responded that the warranty was over and they owed me nothing. But they already knew this since my review already mentioned that. So the only reason they responded must be to give others the impression that they stood behind the products when they actually didnt. It was rubbing salt into a wound. I thought readers should know. And LG, dont bother responding. I wont fall for it again.Original Review: I think all refrigerators today are junk and this one is no exception. Shortly after the warranty expired, it needed over $200 in repairs (circuit board). It has a top freezer and bottom fridge. When you put your hand over the space between them, you feel the cold air escaping. Most of the poorly constructed shelves have cracked but I have been told this is standard on any brand of fridge. The shelves cost almost as much as a new fridge.

Refrigerator compressor died. Called LG. The repairman did not show 2 times at the scheduled day even when I called the day of, they said he would be there for sure, he didn’t. Rescheduled each time for 2 weeks later. Then he showed without parts although we knew is was the compressor and came back in two weeks. I had no refrigerator for about 6 weeks and lost $1000 worth of fresh and frozen food. They try to make it so hard you give up trying. I called both LG and the repair people 20 times each. They said they would reimburse me for lost food but I will probably never get it.

Our $3000.00 LG refrigerator (lfxc24726s/02) started having problems just after the warranty expired in January 2017 and between waiting 3 months for parts then another two weeks because part replaced did not work and a day later the door is now leaking water. I have purchased several LG kitchen appliances. The overall quality is good, lots of convenience features and pleasant appearance. When they are working they are great. However if you ever need LG repair service have patience. They are the worst for scheduling your service and even worst still to actually get a technician to your appliance. This means that you are without the use of your appliance for up to 90 days or longer. Also the appliances are expensive and the warranty is only 1 year, which is standard and really burns me. When you spend nearly $2000 for an electric stove and the manufacturer only puts a 1 year warranty on it, that says something about how it was made and the level of confidence the manufacturer has in their product. I prefer American made products but sadly there aren’t many major appliances that are American made anymore.

I like everything about my refrigerator – the style and the features. It had everything that I wanted. That was why I bought it but I will never buy LG anything again. I took out a warranty and tried to deal with LG on that. They sent a service that they use for repair but I went through three months of a freezer and refrigerator that did not work with Jessup’s Major Appliance Centers in Sarasota, Florida. They put in three different compressors and none of them worked. LG knew that they had a problem with the compressors. The repairman had been trying to fix them all over the state of Florida. I was told they were not gonna send their repairman out again after all that. But finally, they said they would come and put one more in. That fourth one finally worked. But they put me through hell. I even had to buy a little refrigerator. Thank God Jessup’s gave me one that I had to put on the carport and go outside to my refrigerator. But that was totally unbelievable customer service.

My husband bought this stove for me on Feb 14th, I was thrilled! I love to bake and cook and even canning. I had the stove for less than a month and the large right burner died. I called to have it repaired. We kept using the stove, and before the repairman could get to us, the entire top died! You could push the buttons, they would come on but didnt heat up. The repairman came out, looked at the stove and said he had to order the parts. Two weeks later, he replaced the motherboard and everything was up and running just fine. Two months later, we had the same issue. The left burner goes this time. Again, the same repairman comes out, looks at the stove, he again orders the same parts. He replaces the motherboard again. On the 3rd repair, LG tells me the repair guy is the one who has to call it a lemon, the repair guy tells me its LG that has to call it a lemon. Okay, so he repaired it and I just let it go, WHICH I have NOT have done!Dec. 14, we call the repairman again, I am now on my 4th repair for the same thing! Now LG wants to see my receipt for the stove, and they are sending it to their Claims dept. to see if they can replace this stupid stove. I really hope they do NOT plan to send me another stove like this one! Last week, the repairman came out, of course they have to order the parts and I am just betting, my stove will NOT be repaired in time for me to cook the family Christmas dinner! It really sucks to spend all that money for a stove that only works part time! The repair guy said, he also see problems with stove that have fancy mother boards. If you buy this stove, make sure you have a backup plan! I am currently baking cookies on a small rack while sitting on coffee cups in a roaster pan and it SUCKS! Now, I guess I will have to cook Christmas dinner on a George foreman grill, a roaster pan, and an electric skillet or its fast food. Geez like a great dinner for Christmas, NOT!

I just purchased my LG double oven range one month ago. Cleaned the cooktop as required by manufacturer. Razored off the food stuck on as by manufacturing specs. A stuck on piece of rice being scraped off by the razor provided with the range caused a chip in the glass. The rice and a piece of glass top came off together. LG states this is not covered under warranty and will not repair. Cleaning a stuck on piece of anything should not cause a piece of glass to come off with it. I bought 3 LG appliances at the same time and I will not buy again. I have had a glass cooktop range before. Cleaned it several times the same way never a problem. This range was over $1000. That glass top should be bulletproof as far as I’m concerned.

I have been a follower of Consumers Reports for many years. When my 11 yr. old Electrolux started making noises I figured it was time to look for a new refrigerator. I was very happy with the French Dr. Electrolux so I chose to look for similar replacement. I went to Consumer Reports and found that it rated the LG LFXS28S96S/04 as the best French Door available. On 11-2-2021 I purchased one from Costco. I was very happy with most of the features, until it started making ice. Within a few days the door ice maker would not drop any ice. Upon checking I found that the ice in the small door ice maker were clumped together. Reading the instructions I had to break the clumps so the ice would come down the chute. In thirty years I had never encountered such a problem. I have a fifteen year old Maytag still working and prior to that a Sears which never gave me any problems with the ice maker. I cannot understand how Consumer Reports would have given the LG such high reviews that testing an actual use of the unit would have shown the problems with the door ice maker. I saw later that other consumers of the LG refrigerators have experience the same problems I did.

I purchased washer and dryer (LG waveforce topload) from Home Depot last year and making such a big purchase was quite scary. I could not more disappointed!! As I write I am going into 3 hours on 1 load of towels and a few baby items! Seems like every other load will constantly give me the UE code during spinning, doesnt matter how many times you adjust your clothes. I mean who really has time to stand there for over 3 hours adjusting clothes! This is insane! I have had servicemen from Home Depot come out 3 times over the last year and NOTHING has changed. By reading the other reviews I see I am not the only one, which brings little comfort as I pull my hair out and pack my other bedding to go to Laundromat so I can go on with my day. Nearly 2 months later the freezer is inoperable as well as the ice maker. The refrigerator is semi-warm. I have asked for an exchange, and the service companies believe we have a lemon. We are doing a kitchen remodel, I purchased an LG refrigerator (dented), oven, and microwave. The microwave also had a dent so J.C. Penney discounted it. We installed it and the door scrapes horribly when it opens and closes. We called J.C. Penney whose automated service directed us to LG tech support, after about 1.5 hrs phone time they set a service call. The service tech arrived and determined the unit was irreparable, structural damage. I called LG for follow up, the operator couldnt figure out the notes, I had him read them back to me and stopped him where it stated, not repairable. I had to send pictures and a copy of the receipt that were already sent by the repair tech. After multiple hours on the phone I finally got a CNN number For a defective return. They said they will call me to arrange delivery.A week goes by and nothing. I called back and spoke with Alexander, he re-reviewed, Sorry, nothing we can do. I escalated to his supervisor, Willie who made it clear that I was bothering him and stated, I will not cover anything on this unit, go back to J.C. Penney. Now the unit is not heating correctly, waiting for the repair tech again. What a BAD!, experience. I will NEVER! buy another LG product.

I advised him that the refrigerator was running perfectly but no one had picked up the faulty door yet. He wound up picking up the door and hauling it away. I am very thankful that he did so, because I know he wasnt required to. All in all, the technician went above and beyond to do that, but I feel like it was only because I was the squeaky wheel. Our LG front loading washer and dryer are seven years old. We purchased a four year service plan with each, which got us through the first four years. The washer is on its third drum, although replacement drum number two was discovered to be damaged during installation. A lot of other parts have also been replaced, Ive lost track. The water pump went out and needed replacement, which was probably good because it was discovered the drum was again loose. Now the unit died, nothing works, third control panel installed, still dead. The dryer is another story with a consistent knocking. When asked, the warranty serviceman suggested buying an older washing machine in good condition off Craigslist or at garage sales. Id happily pay more for a dependable product, in the end it would be more economical. I thought LG might be such a product but as it turns out its just run of the mill with great advertising.

Electric Range LRE30451SB - Purchased from Best buy in April 2008. Last evening ten minutes into cooking dinner, there was cracking, sound, like blown electrical noises, a bunch of red under my large burner (in areas that there should not have been) and what sounded like an electrical explosion. No smoke, no smell.... and strangely enough it did not blow the breaker. Purchased the additional 5 year protection plan, but of course as luck would have it I am 4 months out of warranty. Best Buy told me I should have received another email offering additional protection (did not receive), so I am out of luck. Did some research (on this site) and saw mention of a recall. I called LG, and mine was one of the recalled ranges. WHY ON EARTH were customers not notified of this recall? Especially when it has to do with burners getting too hot and/or not shutting off. I could have done without the near cardiac experience. There is supposed to be a technician here in the morning. This is the second LG product that we have had a major problem with. The other was a TV less than 6 months old. Very upsetting. We work very hard, and prices are high, quality low.

Our LG fridge LFX28968SW was already in our house when we moved in Apr 2017
Our LG fridge LFX28968SW was already in our house when we moved in Apr 2017. However, the label is stamped with manufactured 2013 so it cant be more than 4 years old. This model lists for $2,400 ++. It is a beautiful appliance, but beauty is only skin deep here. The fridge stopped cooling and freezing in Aug 2017; thats way too soon for a durable goods product. ALL of my previous fridges (Amanda, Frigidaire, Kitchen Aid) lasted over 10 years without issue when I left them for the next homeowner. The one homeowner says Frigidaire is still running without issue and its over 17 years. Anyway, I called LG customer service and we ran the SMART Diagnosis process but the rep said it didnt reveal any errors; I guess it isnt so smart after all. We did get the unit to display a error code 22, which according to the LG website, indicates a compressor relay failure. Its a small, easily accessible, inexpensive part ($12 for similar parts on Amazon) but LG customer service refused to provide me with a parts list and service manual and said that only LG certified techs can repair it. Since the remaining LG warranty only covers parts, Im guessing at least $200-$350 labor costs based on posts for similar repairs. So, after 3 days of waiting on the LG recommended techs to make an appointment, I contacted a repairman recommended by 2-10 Home Warranty. They came next day and replaced the relay but it still isnt working; so much for the reliability of the error codes. He said a fuse on the control board blew and since the fuse is soldered in, the whole board needs replaced. (PS I have the fridge on a surge protector). I asked him candidly if this was an ongoing problem, his response was he does several per month but unfortunately cant keep the boards in stock so its at least another week to get the replacement part. So after two weeks, Im still living out of coolers and my daughters dorm room fridge.Luckily we had the 2-10 Home Warranty that came with the purchase of our home. Otherwise, the cost would be significantly higher. So Im looking at a $100 deductible, plus cost of food spoilage, plus cost of ice for coolers. In addition to the cost, its a huge inconvenience to constantly manage the issue (phone calls, service appointments, waiting on parts, swapping ice, etc) all this to fix a supposed top of the line fridge. Its not right to have a durable goods product fail after 4 years, and based on my experience with customer service, and based on parts availability, and based on responsiveness of the LG techs, and based the blogs, I wont buy any LG product no matter what it is. The internet mentions a class action suit brewing, I will surely sign on when I get the right contact.

Bought LG 2050 washer about 3 years ago. About 1 year ago, washer would leak on occasion, not that much water. I called LG and they told me to clean washer and they questioned me on detergent use. I used the correct amount and type of detergent. But LG kept saying that the leakage issue was my fault and that it would go away. Well, a week ago, water started pouring out of washer. Looked at washer and determined it is leaking from the seal. Very difficult and expensive to repair. I am very disappointed and feel that I was misled by LG.

LG True Balance Washer - I agree with every negative review I have read. Bought this expensive laundry set that doesnt get clothes clean, throws itself off balance no matter how large or small the load is. Takes forever to do a few small loads and the clothes come out spotty (white clothes w/ detergent stains). I also bought the matching dryer that takes several tries to get the clothes dry. Dont use the high heat or your clothes stink. Very unhappy. Wish they would trade them out with something that works.

WT5001Cw washer purchased on 3/17/12 from Sears. Contacted Sears within 1st year to say washer would not dispense hot water. Sent tech out and was told LG said working according to specs. Tech told me to purchase extended warranty so machine would have to be replaced if 4 service calls were made in 1st year for same problem. I did that and then Sears said it didnt apply because LG said working according to specs. After Sears sent 4 technicians out over a period of 1 1/2 years and after the 1st year manufacturer warranty ran out, I was told that nothing could be done.My argument is: I should have been told at purchase or stated in the manual that the machine would not dispense water above 98 degrees, even though it had a hot water selection on it. 98 degrees scientifically is considered lukewarm and the machine will not go above 98 degrees which prohibits me from killing microorganisms in bed linens and bacteria in reusable baby diapers. Sears would not help me and referred me to LG. LG said they cant do anything because the machine is past the 1st year warranty, even though I contacted Sears, who contacted LG within that 1st year. Sears continued to send technicians out with non-workable ideas to get hot water when the bottom line was, it is impossible to get hot water. The machine mixes cold water even when the setting is on hot. I have written to Sears CEO Eddie Lampert and LG corporate office and received responses Sorry but we cant help you with this problem.

Machine does not fully drain, allowing a smell to build up and be washed back into your clothes. Difficult to clean debris from drain holes in rubber seal. In the event that you need to drain the machine, there is no drain function. It needs to be manually drained from a tiny hose at the bottom of machine. And for us, that meant into a hose, through the garage and down the driveway. Look for a drain feature on my next purchase!

For a long time we had a Maytag dryer and loved it but when it finally died we decided to get an LG dryer to match our LG washer which we have had no issues with. We purchased the dryer from Home Depot and since it was brand new it has melted MANY items, mostly coats and blankets. I have wasted tons of money replacing damaged items and and scared it will result in a fire. At first I just thought it was because the dryer was fancier than I was used to and I needed to learn how to used its technology but after learning the ins and outs it has continued to happen time and time again. Now I just air dry a lot of items to avoid them burning and melting which is a huge pain. It even has melted several infant Muslin blankets which is not what I would consider a material sensitive to heat. I’ve honestly just been avoiding contacting customer service knowing it will just be a hassle but I am beyond frustrated and after looking up see there is a class action lawsuit for LG dryers catching fire so I plan to contact them ASAP to get resolution. In the future I will go back to my tried and true Maytag.

In 2005, I purchased the LG WM1832CW washer and from the beginning, I got an OE error code which indicates a motor overload. I had a service contract and Best Buy was great in sending a repair person to troubleshoot and ultimately replaced the motor. We still have the occasional OE code, but LG told us to reduce the amount of detergent and always use high-efficiency detergent. The smell started and there was a black mold around the front tub seal and smelly clothes. Initially, I thought that the smell was due to sweaty football gear, but it continued after the season. We have used vinegar, bleach, you name it, yet it still smells. Now, Ive had two leaks that flooded my laundry room and I cant find the cause. My guess is that the front door seal is not seating properly every time.

This is a beautiful, very large washer. Had great reviews and ratings in consumer magazines, etc. For 10 months or so it functioned well, handling large quantities of laundry, including towels and bedding. Then nearing the 1 year mark, the UE symbol, meaning it cant spin out the water from your clothing was a regular occurrence. I was told to use the tub clean cycle. It may have helped it balance for a few uneventful loads. But it was short lived. If you like standing over the top of a washer watching to see if it will spin, etc., but seeing it add 20 or more minutes over and over, then this is the one for you. A big disappointment.Updated on 1/23/2017: Whenever I have called LG about the frequent (Out of balance) issue they always say run the tub clean cycle, which I suppose tries to re-balance or reset without any clothes in it. It even get off balance empty!! Why does this washer get such good reviews in consumer reports, etc.

I have had this washer for about a year and it has annoyed me since I first used it. I started getting the ue error within the first week of use. I went back and read the owners manual to learn how to load this machine. I started being extremely careful in the way I load it and I would only receive the error occasionally (cant wash a mixed of heavy and light weight items-really? I dont know anyone who doesnt wash their hand towels with their bath towels), but now I receive it with every load I run. My husband washed three loads of laundry this past weekend and he also received the ue error. He said it is a piece of junk! I paid a lot of money for this machine and I am ready to throw it out the window! I am done purchasing LG products. On a side note. I am 54, not tall by any means, but I have always been able to reach the bottom of the tub in a washer. I literally have to stand on a stool to remove all of the clothes from this machine. Bad design.

I had the infamous LG linear compressor failure on a fridge that is only a few years old. Prior to it breaking down, I called and proactively asked for replacement or a permanent fix after hearing of friends and relatives have failure. LG refused and said they would only come out if something was broken because no official recall was done. They are in a class action lawsuit currently over this. We are now waiting A WEEK for a technician to come and $700+ worth of food and groceries gone. Calling the customer service was a nightmare with foreign reps who spent 15 minutes trying to understand my address until I asked to be transferred to a supervisor who had better communication and more fluent in English apparently. Then I was told that they would reimburse me for a mini fridge or fridge rental, later I find out that was a bold faced LIE. It has to be GREATER than 7 days of outage to qualify for this. I was exactly scheduled for repair at 6 days from my phone call, so now they are saying they wont reimburse. In summary - terrible equipment and terrible customer service that is untrustworthy and cannot communicate. Never purchasing LG again.

When it came time for the dryer after the installation, the dryer started giving errors about the ducks being blocked. First checked the actual installed duck work, that didnt help; then removed the dryer from atop the washer and removed the exhaust altogether, this also did not remove the issue. Started contacting the LG support, after some back and forth; reset the machine a couple of times and this also caused no breakthrough. They scheduled a technician to come in 3 days from then. The day the service was supposed to be done, I took a day off work and had a 2 hr time slot. The time slot came and when with no technician. Ive contacted the support again about why he did not show up. They provided me with no concrete reason as to why, and no explanation why they didnt even contact me about it. More back and forth on how to solve this issue and as it turns out they cannot even rebook me for another time slot; since there are no open slots. So now, Im two weeks into not be able to use a dryer with no time that a technician can come in to fix it, and support who dont really care if this gets solved. All of this on a $2500 purchase of a brand new set. To summarize avoid buying LG.

As others have mentioned, we initially bought the model based on the positive reviews we found online. However we too have had multiple issues with the knobs being turned on and gas being on without the burners. The knobs are very, very sensitive and a tiny bump just brushing the knobs will turn it on. Our children are teenagers, but we even looked for baby proof covers because we are so nervous around this stove. It has become a routine to check the knobs multiple times and we ourselves have found the gas on at almost every party we have had just because as others have said walking by and brushing the knob will turn the gas on. We have a party this weekend and are using packing tape to ensure that guests dont accidentally turn on the knobs when they brush against the stove. Honestly if I had another $2,000 to drop on a stove Id replace it right away. For anyone looking, stay, far far away from this stove. It is only a matter of time before someones home or self is injured by this stove. I am honestly surprised with the amount of comments that they have not yet recalled or provided a fix for this.

LG should be thoroughly ashamed that they have released this piece of junk in the public domain. The washer does not use enough water to wash properly and leaves clothes stinking and gross. The thing vibrates like crazy on spin cycles, it sounds like it is going to rip itself apart half the time. Yes, you can use less detergent and leave the door open, and clean the thing with bleach every week, but your clothes still end up stinking. As punishment, I think the designers of (and those who tested) this travesty of engineering should be forced to use it for a year so they can see what everyone is talking about. Customer service asks you if you are using HE detergent or fabric softener, and then tells you to try tub clean with clean water then with bleach which didnt solve the problem. The technician LG sends tells you it is what youre putting in the washing machine is the problem. One customer service rep tells you once the technician looked at it, it will be escalated to Mgmt. for exchange; another rep tells you it is rejected and asks you more tub clean while your dirty clothes is piling up. The next minute, the rep on the phone tells you that they dont have an updated report from the technician. Terrible machine and service!!! Wrong machine to get!!! This is the worst design I have seen for a gas range. The knobs turn on easily. I first realized this after it had been installed and I told my husband, that could be so dangerous with kids in the home. We have accidentally hit them and turned them on ourselves so to have kids in the home would be awful. Even the older ranges have a safety feature for the knobs so they dont turn so easily. I woke up last night to a house full of gas. The stove had been running gas for at least 5 hours. We live in a multi level condo and the smell had become so strong upstairs that it woke me up.I did read there is a lock out feature by pushing the lower clear/off button down for 3 seconds; however, its a matter of always remembering to do that. I truly believe there should be a case made and there should be a safety recall on these stoves/ranges. Not happy. I will be shopping for something new. Regardless of the cost, whats the cost of our lives! Bad bad design. You would think in this day and age products would be safer than older models. Why then is this one SO dangerous???

Absolutely nothing works! I contacted LG customer support and they said I had to get someone to service it. Why should I pay someone to do what I have already tried? There is nothing they can do that we havent already attempted. Like others have noted, the thing also will not stay level. My washer is on a top floor and it sounds like an earthquake when the spin cycle is going. The dryer is no better. The clothes are rarely even close to dry when it stops and I have to continuously keep running it for multiple cycles to get them to dry. I should have just kept my top loading Maytag instead of wasting a lot of money on this piece of junk. It is not good to send repairmen who are unable to perform a satisfactory repair the first time around, not to speak of the extreme inconvenience of losing three refrigerators worth of food (from three failures in the span of a month). Looking back, I would have much preferred a replacement machine after the first machine failed, or a refund after the second failure. We are now on the third failure and not thinking good thoughts of the LG refrigerator company.

I had purchased LG washing top load. It broke down within a year. My machine being into warranty was not catered. I lodged a complaint and its more than 15 days there is no follow up from the company side. Also even when I personally tried to escalate I was given the answer that Maam today - it will be done today... There is no clarity... Extremely poor service... I have faced before also the same problem but trusting in the brand I repurchased... Personally its pathetic the product and the service.

Purchased in late 2011 as part of a range, fridge, microwave, dishwasher package deal from appliance warehouse. This is the third time Ive had to call for service and pay $60 charge each time on my homeowners warranty policy. The usual problem is burners that dont turn on and in the past, only a few would go out at a time, leaving me a workable burner or two. This time all are out and now the broiler is also down -- only the oven is working now. One service tech said the cables inside the panel were loose. How that happened, I don’t know because the range doesnt get jostled or moved around a lot. Another complaint within the first six months of purchase is an inside drip between the oven door double paned glass but Ive lived with ugly mess because the service tech couldnt fix it without taking the entire range to the shop for a week. But wait -- theres more LG product problems! The side-by-side door fridge problems have also cost me three service calls ($60 each). The icemaker frequently goes on strike for several months at a time and then on its own starts working again. Of course, this renders the ice dispenser constipated and totally useless. The cold water dispenser has the opposite problem and is often incontinent it keeps spewing water for several seconds after the drinking glass is removed.I believe LG must stand for Least Good and the range model number LRE30453ST must stand for Least Reliable Electric ** Stoves Terrible. I will never again purchase another LG appliance and recommend that other buyers also shop for another brand.

At just under three years of being in service this model (31925ST) requires significant repairs that are of course not covered by warranty. I have utilized the poorly written troubleshooting guide with no remedy. This refrigerator sounds as though a helicopter is running in my kitchen! I guess I should not be surprised. I also purchased a dishwasher from LG and a range from LG at the same time - all have had issues that are dismissed as cosmetic items like the stove knobs melting, the plastic calibration strip off or the dishwasher rack that does not remain in position. I will go back to GE! The stainless steel on LG is so thin that by looking at it wrong it seems to dent!

Thousands of dollars in damage! We purchased LG model lfx25971sb with french doors and an external ice delivery system. The initial problems, within a week of delivery, were with the ice maker that was constantly messing up, leaking, not working. The list of problems with the ice dispenser are numerous. The next issue came in about 11 months when I noticed that the cabinet next to the unit was showing cracks in the finish. These are maple. Perplexed, I pulled the unit out and found that a small pin-hole had burst on the water line leading up to the dreaded ice maker. The hardwood floor underneath was stained and buckling so the leak had been there for awhile. With both of these service issues, I got horrible customer service from LG. With regard to the water line needing repair, my cost. Then on Sunday, while walking across my kitchen floor, I nearly tripped over the buckled wood floor at least 5 feet from the unit. Now, it was gushing water from underneath! The service guy that showed up today said a valve blew out and that it is not covered by the warranty. This wreck of a machine has ruined my kitchen floor and the poor excuse for a company will not do a thing about it. Repair bill around $180; floor and cabinet repair, thousands. I also purchased a washer/dryer set. It took four months to get the washer working. This time they finally owned up to the problem and replaced a part but four months before, it never worked.

The freezer compartment of the LG fridge (model #LRFXS2503S) we purchased in April of 2021 was not working properly. It was not making ice or keeping food frozen. The company contracted to repair the fridge came, and repaired it. The next day the entire unit quit working - no fridge - no freezer. I fought with the repair company, and they came out again the next day and repaired it again. Same thing - no fridge - no freezer. Unbelievable. The repair person told me he did not think it could be repaired - this was two weeks ago. I called LG, and they want the repair person to try to repair it AGAIN. LG also told me it was not their responsibility to replace the fridge - just repair it. Unbelievable - going on three weeks with no fridge over Christmas. AVOID buying any LG fridge. Ours lasted about six months, and the company has been no help in getting it fixed or replacing it. They dont care about you once they have sold you their product.

I went for brand name and would have chose otherwise could I do it again. I have always trusted LG products but the fridge was somewhat of a disappointment compared to other products. The shelving was too close together and didnt hold up well, was often difficult to change the shelves because the metal would catch on the sides and stick. The crisper drawers would often stick and the plastic was cheaply made. But I like the size and location of the freezer, space inside the lower area. A shelf on the door that provided an area to put the milk. There was an area to put eggs without the carton and the crisper drawers were clear.

I liked our LG appliances just fine, until something went wrong. Luckily we purchased the extended warranty from Home Depot for our side-by-side refrigerator. Exactly three years later it isnt cooling and I called to have it repaired. It is going to be TWO WEEKS before someone can come and look at it. I called Home Depot to complain and they informed me that LG will no longer allow anyone except LG service people to make service calls, so their hands are tied. TWO WEEKS before and even sending anyone out. In my opinion this is horrible customer service from LG and I wish someone at Home Depot would have informed me of the repair issues prior to selling me the Extended Warranty.

Purchased in Spring of 2015, and just before the year warranty went out, the ice maker quit working. After a week or two we got that fixed, and while waiting on that repair, my sons LG refrigerator stopped cooling and he was having major issues with getting it repaired b/c it was out of the year warranty (purchased Fall of 2014). Because he was having so many issues, we decided to buy the LG Extended Warranty, just in case, and it was over $500. So now were in for over $3000 for this refrigerator. FYI, my son junked his after several months b/c he could not find anyone who could/would work in it or even figure out what was wrong with it!!! THEN just this past month, July 18th we returned home from a weeks vacation and the refrigerator had stopped working, so we were up until late throwing out over $500 worth of food and cleaning a nasty refrigerator. My husband called them immediately and started the process of getting the repairs made using the LG Extended Warranty. It took him three calls to just get to the right people that might could help us, and they said it would be the end of the week before anyone could JUST look at it! Well, those folks never called the day before, as promised, so my husband starts calling again. Finally someone showed up on July 28th, but guess what? Its a sealed system and LG wouldnt let them work on it. My husband has spent hours on the phone going from person after person up the chain, and finally on August 2nd he got a supervisor that admitted that they had no one in the State of Louisiana that could even work on our refrigerator!!!We are waiting for a call by 2:00 today to see what they are going to do about the situation, to fix or replace... oh, and the LG Extended Warranty will only reimburse us for $250 of our food, not to mention weve had to eat out much more and buy a smaller refrigerator just to keep a few cold food items in! LG is a JOKE, both their refrigerators and their LG Extended Warranties!!! STEER CLEAR OF LG REFRIGERATORS!!! Ill let you know what happen when we hear back from LG.

My husband and I bought this dishwasher last May 2015 NEW with the fridge and stove. This dishwasher is probably the worst dishwasher ever!! Its the model with the 3rd rack, sounds convenient right? Wrong!!! It sucks, yes I can put knives and silverware on the top row but it leaves very little space for your glasses. So any glass taller than 6 inches does not fit!! Which means they have to take up space on the bottom rack or Im forced to hand wash! Now the bottom row... The lines that are suppose to hold the dishes do not stay standing up. The silverware basket is in three sections that is suppose to lock to together, it falls apart if you just put a fork in it. The large bottom rolling basket is constantly coming off the tracks! It takes 2 1/2 hours to run a normal load and an hour to run a quick load. The quick load does do a good job and usually have to rewash items. I hate this dishwasher and the only place it belongs is in the trash dump! WARNING DO NOT BUY IT!!!

Ive had my washer for approximately 2 years. In the past Ive stuck with well respected brands such as Kenmore. I was hesitant to try a new brand, but my daughter has an LG TV that shes been pleased with, so I thought Id give LG a try. Ive raised three children and now have a grandchild, my husbands a mechanic and we farm as well, so Ive put washers through a lot over the 30+ years of married life. Ive never had a washing machine rust before this one. The compartment that is specifically designed for bleach is all rusted out, so I now wait until the washer is full and just dispense the bleach directly into the load. The back of lid that you cant see is also rusted. I take good care of my appliances by wiping them down and keeping dust off of them on a regular basis, so this isnt operators fault, this is poor materials and manufacturing. This also does not have the center agitator like the old designs and it just doesnt get my clothes as clean as with the agitator bar. I did read about the mildew smell that can occur in these new HE washers and Ive avoided this by leaving the lid and soap dispensers open after each load to air things out. Ive also been using the tub clean cycle with the special Tide cleaner about once every two months. Needless to say, I will not be buying anymore LG products. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

I bought a LG dishwasher in 2017 from Home Depot. Registered it and it worked fine for almost a year. Then it started stopping before the drying cycle and constant beeping and didnt drain. Over the coarse of 9 months, 2 different repair companies, many hours on the phone, weve had the control panel replaced 2 times, the mother board replaced 1 time, the door lock/latch 3 times. Each repair lasts about 2-3 weeks. I have taken videos of the problem when they didnt believe me. The machine shows no error code and the smart app on my phone when linked says the machine is working fine. I have asked for a replacement washer because this is a lemon. I have documented all my emails to LG and to the service techs. When I read all the negative reviews on this same product, and under the review LG replies to contact them by calling them, or contacting on Facebook or Twitter because they want to make it right, I have to laugh. I have done all that including contacting them on Facebook. When the repair man visits your home and reports your problem to LG tech support, then sends the report to LG, tells you to wait for LGs response. No response in over a week so I call customer support. You cant call tech support only the repair guys have access to them. Customer service doesnt have access to Tech support. They leave them a note to call you. So you go round and round. As I am writing this I am waiting again for the repair man to arrive to fix my LG dishwasher that now will not start at all on any setting. It flashes, then beeps then stops.

We bought lg model lfx31925st/00 side by side refrigerator for over $2000. From day one ice maker leaked water to floor, ice froze together as a chunk, or didnt work. LG has had repairman out 3 times, and totally replaced ice maker unit, had repairman check water lines, and overall refrigerator condition. I have also paid and had same company out to replace ice maker. Its a defect in the model, we got a recall card months ago, but heard nothing else. Recently new situation, (now out of warranty) glass shelf over drawers, literally blew apart in a million pieces. Well we must have called them a hundred times by now. Now that its out of warranty, they tell us to go online and buy items. They are not going to help us. With all the LG refrigerator issues, any knowledge of this recall? Any suggestions?

Before two months ago I had made a complaint, though the technician has contacted me and visited my house within 48 hours. He said that it requires changing the gas pipe and refilling the gas and that could not be possibly done at home. The product will go to workshop of the company and after that, they have taken approximately a month just by saying the transport man is not there, so we are unable to meet your complaint. I have made calls for a hundred times to them. After it came from workshop, not even 25 days have passed, it has started giving the same problem. At this time when I had made a complaint, they are unable to say again if it is chargeable or not, no proper feedback. I am feeling like I have done a major mistake by purchasing an LG product.

My husband purchased an LG front load washer dryer set about a year ago. The washer has been fine so far but the dryer has been a nightmare. Theres the usual problem of the lint trap sticking up so it grabs your strappy things and rips them apart. I cant put any camisoles, bras, etc in the washer. Also I washed a load of all my summer skirts this spring and my daughter didnt know the dryer is hell bent on destroying everything I love and put the whole load in it. Needless to say I lost every last one of them. They came out in a twisted torn up knot with drawstrings ripped off and holes in all the light material. Not one was salvageable.Theres another major design flaw with the lint filter though and thats had the holes in it are too big. Theyre the perfect size for catching big zippers and things and ripping them off. My husband and I both wear Carhartt coveralls in the winter and have multiple pairs. The latch on the front of the coveralls gets caught in the lint filter and ripped off. The zipper on BOTH my Carhartt coats has been destroyed and I have one pair of coveralls left that havent been in that dryer. 4 coveralls, 2 coats, multiple bras, camisoles, nightgowns, skirts, all ruined.Every time I load that dryer from hell I feel compelled to stand and watch the entire time with one finger on the pause button and one hand on the door to try and catch it when it starts to eat my clothes. Sometimes I can catch it, other times its too fast for me. I literally stood there and watched it devour my favorite and newest pair of overalls before I could get the door open. I have a thousand dollar dryer that Im afraid to use and a clothes line in my laundry room. This was a huge mistake, Ill never buy lg anything ever again.

As many others have stated, if I could provide zero stars I would!!! Do not buy even if other reviews are good. Its not if its when your product will default. Weve had our LG refrigerator for less than 3 years, and bought the extended warranty. Unfortunately, its been nothing but trouble. We are currently out of a refrigerator and LG still has yet to come up with a solution or a reliable repair company. The first issue was the fan in the freezer compartment which was fixed and covered under warranty. Now its the compressor, which for anyone thats not aware does have a 5-year manufacturer warranty that we would not have known until someone told us and it wasnt LG. The company that LG contracted out came to repair (the company actually had horrible reviews online) but guess what folks our refrigerator still is not working and we are at 4 weeks. I would like to add for anyone experiencing issues to file a complaint with the BBB which I just finished. Its too soon to determine if this will help mitigate the process but its worth pursuing. We spend entirely way too much for a product that does not work.

I just purchased new LG appliances about 4 months ago. All are ok except the dishwasher. There are two main issues I continue to have. The bottom rack continues to come off track and it appears the design of the dishwasher does not have a large enough track to keep the wheels on track. I continue to have issues with the dishes not getting clean. If we do not pre-rinse the dishes completely, they will come out dirty with the residue dried on. I generally use the normal cycle, which takes 2 1/2 hours.I called customer service and was told that the normal cycle is designed to reach a temperature of 96 degrees and have a moderate spray intensity. The agent further explained that this is not a sufficient wash cycle to clean dishes unless they are completely pre-washed! She recommended using Power Scrub, a cycle that takes close to 3 hours, or adding in addition rinse cycles to The normal cycle. I am so disappointed that I spent over $700 on a dishwasher that is not designed to wash dishes! Please DO NOT make the same mistake.

No one has offered me a replacements, food lost or lost wages nor have anyone ever returned a single phone call. The customer service is simply terrible, the person on the other end of the phone talks to you with little or no respect. I had to tell a gentlemen on the other end, Dont talk to me in that tone of voice. They even told me I had to write a letter to the higher management to further complain for, which made no sense to me when they have my record of complaints in front of them. The refrigerator has had 3 compressors replacements, an ice maker, the entire Freon system w 5 lbs of Freon, the motherboard and God know what else. I can go on and on about my experience with this product but I dont know if it would benefit anyone or even if it will get posted. I can say I wont stop until someone has heard me. Earlier this year we purchased a new LG Washer (WM4270HWA) and Dryer (DLEX4270W) through The Home Depot. The washer was delivered and installed in our home on Feb 21st, 2015. The dryer arrived on March 2nd. Both machines operated beautifully for about 8 months. They are MUCH quieter than our previous 20+ year old machines, have a nice feature set, and save water. However, in early October, the washing machine developed a leak and dumped a LOT of water. Fortunately, we had taken the precaution of placing the washer in an overflow pan, so there was no apparent damage to our home. I initially contacted LG warranty support to have the washing machine fixed on October 6th, 2015. On the good side, I found their representatives to be quick to answer my phone calls and they were always courteous. On the bad side, they are completely ineffective and incompetent. Ultimately, I fixed it myself.6 October 2015, 9:45 AM EST, I called LG Warranty support to report the issue. I spoke with the representative and provided the washing machine serial number. The representative verified that the washer was under warranty and stated that I would receive a call in 2-3 days from the service scheduling team to schedule a service appointment. I requested and received an incident reference number. 8 October 2015, 11:10 AM EST, I contacted LG to check status on the service appointment. The representative indicated that scheduling team may take 3-5 business days to schedule an appointment.13 October 2015, 11:30 AM EST, I contacted LG to determine why I had not yet been contacted to schedule an appointment. I was informed that the Service Scheduling Team had started the search for a local service provider on the 8th and that the search should be resolved on the 15th. I was told that if they could not schedule an appointment, they would arrange to replace the machine. The representative stated that the time to resolve the service request was unknown. The representative also indicated that the request had been escalated to the top-tier scheduling department, but that it was not possible to check status or contact anyone in that department directly.15 October 2015, 5:55 PM EST, I received a phone call from an LG service representative. They had made arrangements to have the washer serviced and the service representative Jeff (last name & phone number omitted) would contact me shortly with appointment details. I called Jeff directly to confirm and received a message that his voicemail was full. I left a callback number. 16 October 2015, 8:10 AM EST Called Jeff again. The voicemail was still full. Left my callback number again. 1:40 PM EST Called Jeff again and left a voicemail. Jeff eventually returned the call and we scheduled a service call on 19 October.19 October 2015, Jeff arrived at the house and spent about an hour on the phone with LG. He did not disassemble the washing machine nor inspect it in any significant way. He did order a replacement pump. I was informed that the part should arrive later that week. 27 October 9:25 AM EST, I called and left a message for Jeff to find out status and set up a time for the repair. I requested that he call me back as soon as possible with this information. 2 November 2015, 8:00 AM EST, I called and left a message with Jeff to get status and schedule the repair. I requested a call back that day with status.6 November 2015, 7:20 PM EST, I called LG Customer Service to find out what was going on. The service representative was aware that a technician had been assigned and parts ordered. I explained that the technician had visited, ordered a part, and had been unresponsive for 3 weeks. She attempted to contact the technician while I was on hold and could not (no surprise, it was after business hours on a Friday). The service representative indicated she would contact the technician on Monday and call me with status. 7 November 2015, 1:00 PM EST - After a month with NO effective action and washing laundry at the neighbors house, I removed the top of the machine, ran a 15-minute cycle, and identified the source of the leak as a disconnected vent hose in the left rear corner of the washer. I Googled for service diagrams and found it was the hose at the top of part F430 in the diagram. 2:20 PM EST I called LG, explained the situation with the technician and my lack of satisfaction. I requested a service manual be sent immediately. The representative took my email address and claimed the service manual had been sent.3:00 PM EST I contacted LG via live chat and inquire whether the service manual had been sent. The representative on the chat stated he could not access the manual.3:25 PM EST, I called LG again. The representative read my email address back and it had been recorded incorrectly (though we had verified it on the phone the first time!). I verified the correct email address again and she resent the manual. 3:45 PM EST, I did a web search on LG drain vent hose routing and found a diagram showing the correct connection to a fitting on top of the washer drum. I reconnected the hose and since then the washer has been fine. The LG representative that I spoke with on 6 November did eventually call back and offered to start the scheduling process all over again with another service technician. I told her that their service was abominable and that I had repaired the issue myself. We were done. The service manual never arrived.I live in a major metropolitan area with over 1 million people within the county boundary. I am amazed that LG couldnt find a competent technician in the area that could provide prompt service. The inability to email a simple service manual after 3 attempts is equally ridiculous. I will say that most parts appear for the washer appear to be reasonably priced. In the course of my internet research, I found that most design flaws noted in earlier versions of the LG washer had been corrected in my washer. The fact that the hose popped off the fitting may have been a random occurrence. The machine has performed well since. Some closing thoughts: (1) Dont ever install ANY washing machine without an overflow pan that has been connected into your houses drain system, and (2) If you are considering the purchase of an LG appliance or other product, based on my experience, I wouldnt expect LG to honor their product warranties.

The refrigerator makes loud noises. We can’t even have a conversation due to the loud noises. Seems like we have a tractor engine running in the kitchen. LG refuses to replaced it after so many repairs. They are waiting for the one year warranty to expire then after that I will have to pay for repairs. DONT BUY LG.

A little more than two years old, this LG microwave (LMV1680ST) stopped working. The turntable does not rotate and magnetron does not heat. Everything else operates just fine. Door latch and switch appear to be solid and functioning properly, so it must be the electronics. I guess I will have to take it apart to look at switch, relay and circuit board.

This LG WM357 OHVA Front Loading Washer is a lemon. Needed repair after approx. 6 months. Weights cracked on drum. Bounced all over the room. Fixed on warranty and broke again within the week. Weve been without a washer since March (five months now) waiting for warranty support to fix it for real or get us a new machine. Very disappointed with the warranty coverage and timeliness of the fix. Choose a different brand.

After reading all these horrible experiences Im now going to see if I can cancel the LG fridge I purchased today. My current fridge (Jenn Air) is over 20 years old and I have NEVER had an issue with it until yesterday. No Product should have this many issues when you pay top dollar for it. Totally disappointed and terrified of my purchase now! Big Mistake by the look of it. :/

200 characters isnt enough to explain, LG wont offer up they know about the issue and that they extended all warranties on the linear compressor to 5 years. My refrigerator was purchased on Nov. 1, 2017. https://lgcommunity.us.com/discussion/3871/important-lg-refrigerator-warranty-information-announcement-please-read. Opened case with LG support, LG happily said that my refrigerator is under warranty when my LG account for registering my appliances clearly says it is out of warranty. You have to call the number in the link that I added to get the warranty work. Talking with the agent, who was pleasant to speak with, also came back and said that LG will also offer to pick up the cost of the Labor on this call as a complimentary service. Really? It is stated in the warranty that Labor is covered! So much for the fake gesture, is Life Good? Anyway, back to my story. Now that I finally got to the bottom of all this, we have a service ticket generated and the agent is working to confirm a service technician in my area to take the service call, stating we will have someone within 24 hrs. Ok, well we all know by now, 3 days after the refrigerator has stopped cooling and at 61 degrees, all of our food is no longer safe to eat. It is now exactly 24hrs from placing my service call with LG and still no confirmed service technician on the case, when-o-when will my refrigerator cool again? And Ill just leave all discussion about the pandemic going on right now, ugh...As I continue to do more research about this topic, how many of you are aware of the class action suit against LG for this exact issue? ** I guess it pays to do your research. After the cost of a technician to tell me the compressor isnt functioning properly and a hum hum nudge nudge on the shoulder saying check this out, I discovered all this and am now expecting my refrigerator to be fixed for free. Once it is fixed I have to ask one more question. Is the new compressor covered by a 5 year warranty from the day it was installed, it should be! After all, we all know that this compressor will also fail within the next 36 months, give or take. This is the second generation linear compressor and LG has yet to fix its know issues, I am not aware of a 3rd generation compressor coming out any time soon. If you continue to research you will find that LG has already gone through a class action suit for this same issue on compressors prior to these. I hope this was some what helpful to anyone reading this and doing their own research into an LG refrigerator. Anyone looking for a French Door Refrigerator? I have one for sale!

I bought a new LG WT7900 Washer (their top-of-the-line top-load machine) in May 2020 (3 months ago). The direct-drive motor now makes a very loud grinding noise (even though the motor has a 10-yr warranty). Ive since learned that this is a common issue thats been going on for nearly a year. I called the LG 800# found in the Owners Manual. They scheduled a repair appointment with their third-party repair service (A&E Factory Service, which also goes by the name Sears Appliance Repair... really????). I took the first-available a.m. appointment, thinking thatd increase my chances of them actually showing up.My Service appointment was scheduled for 7am-11am today (Aug 8, 2020). You guessed it... NO ONE showed up, or even bothered to contact me (other than a confirmation text I got yesterday). So I called their 800#, and was on hold an HOUR before getting a live person (guessing lots of people are having similar experiences since their phone lines are so busy??). When I finally get someone, he says he needs to put me on hold while he investigates the issue. But after being on hold another 10 minutes, the line disconnected. So now I have a brand new LG Washing Machine that doesnt work, and LG is taking no responsibility to fix it or replace it.

Woke Saturday morning to find water on floor (from ice melting in door dispenser), warm fridge and everything melted in freezer. Big mess! Called LG. After playing 20 questions with them, they determined the compressor was bad. Would send replacement parts directly to house in 2-3 days. But the earliest a tech could come out to make the replacement is 2 weeks! Who goes without a fridge for 2 weeks? Not only did we lose all our food, I lost $5000.00 in Humera injection pens that are supposed to be stored in fridge and kept cool. Sure LG will supply their faulty compressor with a new one, (dont know if I have to pay for labor yet) but who pays for all the lost food, loss of expensive medicine, all the mess and all the inconvenience and stress of not having a fridge for 2 weeks? How are not Attorneys General not following up on all these LG customer complaints about faulty compressors? It is NOT RIGHT! We paid a lot of money for this LG fridge. Our previous one, a KitchenAid, was working fine when we replaced it with this fancy new LG fridge. The KitchenAid is still working fine at my sons home in his kitchen. How can Best Buy, Home Depot, and Lowes still be selling these terrible products?

Purchased (4) LG appliances from Lowes. The dishwasher, model LDF7774BD has poorly designed racks... glasses and dishes fall over or roll around when you open and close the unit when adding additional dishes until it is full enough to run. The rack design is the big negative, will not hold as many dishes as our old one. We really did read the owners manual and watched the online videos which are not much help. Called LG customer NO Service and imagine they said they have never heard this complaint before... ha! DONT BUY LG DISHWASHERS EVER!! We will be returning the dishwasher to Lowes.
