The tub mounts of my 6 years old Whirlpool washer are broken. It’s too expensive to replace. Seems like built in obsolescence! Ive also had mold/odor issues. Finally, I know how to fix that, now this. I just want to warn others, these machines are not designed for the long haul.

I have Whirlpool 40 gallon heater 5 years ago. The pilot light went out and I replaced the parts. This has happened three times and I have replaced the entire thermocouple assembly three times. The last time, the parts came straight from Whirlpool. This time, the pilot light will not stay lit. I am on my way to buy another hot water heater for my family because I have had enough.

I purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave (model #YWMH31017AS-1) in April 2013, and had it installed in August of same year. It worked fine up until November 2014 - just over one year later. Everything on it works, except for the most important feature - IT DOESNT HEAT ANYTHING UP. Doesnt matter how long you set the timer for - the contents come out stone cold! I called Whirlpools 1-800 number and was told that because I did not purchase the extended warranty, I was responsible for all parts and labor costs. I find this completely unacceptable! I have had cheap $70 microwaves that have lasted 15-20 years. I will never buy another Whirlpool product, and am telling everyone I know to do the same!

Whirlpool Gold Fridge Model GR2SHWXP002 purchased on August 15, 2007 for $1,368.77. Only repair issue so far was water leaking from the Water Inlet Valve Item # 949403. I bought a new part on Aug 8, 2011 for $73.45 and replaced it myself. The plastics on the fridge door have yellowed. No smoking in the house so not sure why the plastic has changed colour??? Would I buy one again?? Yes I love the water through the door feature and the automatic ice maker. 10 years old now and no major problems.

I bought this piece of junk heater (serial no. 0804T411536) from Lowes and had their contract plumber install it in or about 2008. Since that time, I have had nothing but trouble with it. It just doesnt stay lit. Every plumber who works on it tells me that they have numerous problems with them and they cannot repair them - the customer has to get the part from Whirlpool. And today the woman I talked to told me that I had to pay the shipping charges, which vary according to how quickly one wants hot water! I personally find that a true rip off. If you cant guarantee the product you put on the market, then dont put it out there. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance or shop at Lowes!

Pros: The refrigerator is large and roomy, easily adjustable glass shelving, and easy temperature controls for the refrigerator temperature and freezer temperature. Cons: the refrigerator is bulky and limits space in a small kitchen. The lower freezer door does not seal very well and requires frequent tweaking and adjusting around the door seal. Also, the freezer handle becomes loose easily and requires tightening fairly often -- which is a pain to get on the floor on your back (and a flashlight plus a special wrench) to tighten the handle.

I have Whirlpool gas range, model # WFG361LVS1. The igniter went out after only one and a half years of light use (4-5 times a week). I did not buy the extended warranty, so part is not covered. I only asked that they send me the part for free. I talked to a supervisor at Whirlpool (Dave). He said I should have bought the extended warranty. He said he could not help me. He was also very rude. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set. The heating element went out on the dryer when it was less than a year old. I purchased the set at Lowes. They sent out a repair person who called and told them it was the heating element and he replaced it. Two weeks went by and I could smell something burning. I called Lowes and after two weeks wait the repairman showed back up. He said that the control panel was bad. Lowes replaced my dryer and I have not had any further issues with it. Lowes gets an A+. My washer went out about a year later. It was making the loudest noise on the spin cycle. The repair person came out about 2 weeks after I called and told me that the washer was basically worthless, that the repair would cost more than the washer would to replace. I was totally shocked and decided to use it until it died. In the meantime, I found a repair/used appliance place. They repaired it for $235 and it ran for about 4 months. Then the noise returned. I have had it repaired again. Now the control panel gives me the SE light and stops running with 27 minutes left in the wash cycle. I have had nothing but problems with this machine. I would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone. Im going to have to replace this machine and it has cost me lots of $$. Junk!!

It was a complete nightmare buying our all side by side stainless steel freezer and refrigerator. Freezer still working fine but the refrigerator started blowing hot air, all the food spoiled within 2 days as we were trying to figure out what was wrong. The store did the best to correct the problem and it seemed the Whirlpool company had no faith in their product as over the phone recommended having extended warranty. So sorry we bought this product, nothing but hassle!!!

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio (wtw6600sw2) about five years ago. Last year, the motherboard had to be replaced. This year, it started to have load balance issues on the spin cycle; in other words, it wont spin without sounding like its going to tear itself apart. It cost $75 to have someone look at it, and to fix it will cost almost $400, and whats next? I spent a lot of money for this machine, and Whirlpools answer was to offer me a discount to purchase a new Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool and my model does not have a recall, but models with same problems have been recalled. I will never buy a Whirlpool again!!!

We purchased a Whirlpool French Door Bottom Mount Refrigerator on July 14, 2014. Price $2,139.99. We chose Whirlpool because they have always manufactured and stood behind their products. Hah! We will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product or even a product made by Whirlpool. The refrigerator quit cooling over a week ago. After calling Whirlpool service center they set up an appointment for a service call. The repairman came out said it was the refrigerator fan motor and another piece. He tried to order both but was told the parts would have to come from Lakeland, Florida and it would take about 5 days or so to receive them. We called Whirlpool. After being on the phone forever they finally said they would overnight the part to our home address then we should call the repairman to make a return visit. We received the parts last Thursday, called the repairman and he couldnt make it out here until today. When he got here and started to replace the part he discovered Whirlpool had sent the wrong fan motor. He called Whirlpool and they said the part was on back order and it would be shipped in 5 plus days or so. Both my husband and I talked with Whirlpool and the only thing they were willing to do is if they find the part they will ship it overnight then we would have to call the repairman and schedule another service call. They did say if we found the part they would reimburse us for the part. They wouldnt talk with us about replacing the fridge, etc. I will be out of a refrigerator for what looks like 2 plus weeks and this is not acceptable service from a company like Whirlpool. Pretty much everything in our fridge has gone bad. Whirlpool is not even willing to compensate us for our loss of food. They said all they could was offer us a 6 month extended warranty. We are completely unhappy with their service or rather lack thereof.

This washer has been a lemon since the day we bought it. Always leaves marks all over dark clothes. Had to have a part replaced before we owned it a year & repairman from the company said they have to replace that same part every time they go out so they carry them on the truck. Latch broke after owning it for less than 2 years & now it no longer spins water out of clothes. All this & we havent even owned it 3 years. I had a GE washer for years when I first got married & had children. Never had problems like this. Paid it off on Monday & on Friday it became a piece of junk. How is Whirlpool getting away with this misrepresentation? I dont even see how they can call it a washer.

I have 2 rent houses. I purchased 2 Whirlpool gas water heaters with a 6 year warranty, from Lowes in 2010 and 2011. The warranty just expired on 1 and almost expired on the other. I read the reviews and decided I would not spend my time to get a part, I did not want to put any more money into a bad product. Both water heaters leaked at the Honeywell gas control valve without any warning and flooded both properties. I replaced these with Rheem gas water heaters from Home Depot.

Purchased Whirlpool dishwasher and range approximately 16 months ago. Dishwasher must stop in middle of rinse cycle because the dishes always feel filmy and there is an inch or two of water in bottom. Must be bailed out by hand. Piece of garbage. Called Whirlpool and they can get us a service man from 8-4 (who waits an entire day these days) on New Years Eve. Next appointment is following week to examine and will fix (if it is their fault and for a fee). The last two dishwashers I purchased lasted 10 and 7 years respectively. Stay away if you dont want bad equipment, uncooperative service, and aggravation. Range I bought was OK but the oven temperature is always off 10-15 degrees from what it says it is. I honestly wanted to buy American but I feel cheated. Next time Ill try Samsung and see if they give a damn.

I have a Whirlpool built-in double oven. It is 7 years old. The top oven has overheated 3 times with food in it and it locks the door. The oven beeps and says, Too hot, and locks the door. Luckily I was in the kitchen when it overheated, so I could turn the oven off. After turning the oven off, the oven has to cool off before the door will unlock and the food can be taken out. By then, the food is really burnt.I called Whirlpool to see if there is a recall and they said, No recall, and the oven was out of warranty. So I called the repair shop. They said it was the control board and they were not sure they could get a new control board. I may have to find someone that can rebuild this control board. They said not to use the oven. It could cause a fire. I would think that they should recall these ovens. They should have a safety switch that shuts the oven off if it overheats like mine has done.

On July 30, 2009, we purchased a Whirlpool Gold French door refrigerator with the freezer drawer on the bottom. It was delivered on August 1, 2009. On August 3, 2009, the ice maker and water dispenser stopped working. After three unsuccessful service calls and the installation of various replacement parts, Whirlpool gave up the effort to fix the ice maker and water dispenser and delivered a new replacement refrigerator on October 15, 2009. Todays date is April 14, 2012 and here we go again, the ice maker and water dispenser stopped working. Luckily, I purchased a five year warranty on the unit. However, after reading all of the posts about fire hazard issues and other various issues with Whirlpool refrigerators, well probably go out and buy a new refrigerator and write-off the $2,500 that we spent for this refrigerator as a bad investment. We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator based upon their reputation of providing sound products. However, based upon this experience, I can guarantee the folks at Whirlpool that our next refrigerator purchase will not be a Whirlpool product or a product of any subsidiary of Whirlpool.

Despite my claim being submitted within the first 4 months of purchase, Whirlpool would not assist in solving our issue. We purchased all major appliances from Whirlpool, to furnish our new home in August 2021. All appliances were white. The top of our gas range began discolouring immediately following the first use. The inside of the four corners immediately began to ware due to heat. I figured Id have time to put my claim in, and thought to see if it got worse. Once I finally had time to deal with the issue, I contacted them only to find out that we only had 30 days from the date of purchase (of which included 3 months of waiting for the products to arrive) to claim the issue, given that it was considered Cosmetic. Easy fix, since theyd simply have to change the top of the stove, but Whirlpool denied our claim. Do not purchase this product, unless youre looking for a sub-standard product and customer service.

I bought this refrigerator WRT111SFDW for less than $600 through Home Depot in Oct 2016; it was delivered and placed into use in late Dec. (Home Depot still shows the order as Processing). Had an icemaker installed during delivery. As of today Ive had to call for service 4 times. The refrigerator compartment does not cool properly. Services have been through Whirlpool Service as this appliance is under warranty. Technicians are Whirlpool-approved. I have another refrigerator from Whirlpool that operates just fine. It seems as though the cost of sending repair techs would be higher than the cost to have replaced this unit. Terms of the warranty state that Whirlpool makes that judgment; not the purchaser. I have a Whirlpool dishwasher that is under warranty. The dishwasher failed and Whirlpool service gave me a written report acknowledging their part had failed. It caused $20,000 worth of documented damage. Their adjuster came out after waiting for one month. I have a claim with them and no one contacts me. For a few weeks I was dealing with their legal dept and they said they were going to turn it over to the company that made the defect part. To which I advised them Whirlpool did the damage, I will deal only with them. Since then their legal dept has not answered one email. Whirlpool is trying to put the damage on another company rather than themselves. I have heard from NO ONE. I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher and their tech and their adjuster confirm the damage. Now here I sit one month later, cabinets destroyed, floor destroyed and garage ceiling as well as kitchen walls destroyed and at one point Whirlpool says maybe you should put it through your homeowners, they would pay you faster. I hate this machine. I stress whenever I have to do laundry. The worse machine I ever owned. Stay away from it. It is a total rip off... I wanted to replace my front loader machine with a top loader. Based on good reviews at the time I purchased the Cabrio. Nothing gets clean. The detergent stays on the clothes and unless I use the Bulk senor. Otherwise I get horrible white marks on all the dark clothes. I cant even get the marks off with a wet rag. So washing only a few items I have to use Bulk. The sound is so bad from the machine, my dog runs in the closet and shakes. I feel so bad for her. How can a popular name like Whirlpool make such an inferior product? They dont even stand behind it. My oven had been temperamental since day one, then got worse over time. I do not use my oven that much so was not really worried or alarmed until a tray of cookies caught fire. It was set at 350 and jumped to 525 on its own. (I bought an oven thermometer to monitor) Minor burn taking tray out but all okay :-). Contacted Lowe’s where we bought it and they would do nothing (note: at this point the oven is 15-months old and out of warranty). Advised me to contact Whirlpool. Did that - they sent out a repair service and they determined it was the temp. sensor. It is now April 2014 and I am still waiting for the part (this all started Sept 2013). I have since talked and wrote to Whirlpool for this to be resolved and also asked that the range be recalled due to fire hazard at the least! When I spoke to them in December, they said they could give me ‘50% off the part’. Remember I am still waiting for that part, lol! After writing corp h/q, they said “Sorry, since we cant get the part why not have someone come in and take the old part out and have it rebuilt.” I ask you Whirlpool w/q would you be happy with that??? Will post any follow-ups... would love to hear from anyone else with this problem - model # GFE461LVS. Great day everyone. :-)

Its now Nov 8 and Ive been officially dealing with this issue since Sept 26. This washer was installed in a new home. After less than 10 loads, my washer stopped draining and I was left with a load of towel soup for over a week while waiting for a service call. I still have the same defective non functioning washer sitting in my home and have been unable to do laundry at home in all that time. So far Ive spoken with 2 customer service representatives. The first was incapable of scheduling a service call. She clearly did not understand how to operate the database used for scheduling. I was finally able to schedule appointment on my own but had to wait a week before the technician was able to come by. It was determined that either the latch mechanism or the mother board or both are defective from the factory. The second was just plain dismissive and completely unhelpful. I sat on hold for about an hour each time before getting to speak to a person. Ive also received two canned emails in response to my poor review of this washer on the Whirlpool website. They basically blame COVID for the delays and state the parts delivery should take 3-4 weeks. I was originally told 14 working days for delivery of the parts. We are already past both deadline with no end in sight. At this point, Id like the defective washer replaced rather than repaired. And for the record, this was a new washer (less that one month old) installed in a new house that now stinks to high heaven because slimy, scummy water that will not drain out has been there since September 26. Id really just like for someone at Whirlpool to honestly care about this and take a moment to address this issue.

Our 4-year old Whirlpool microwave suddenly stopped heating. We thought that we forgot to push something so we tried again to start it. This time, it started to spark. We bought a new microwave oven and foolishly bought another over the range Whirlpool microwave. This was about 1 1/2 years ago. The second Whirlpool microwave oven stopped heating as well. F7 came up on the controls which meant that the magnetron failed in this second microwave as well. We called Whirlpool and they said they would only repair it if we paid for the repair which would have cost almost as much as a new microwave and maybe more if other parts were involved. Next, last year, 2012, the pump on our Whirlpool dishwasher broke and once again, it was too expensive to repair it. We had to buy another dishwasher so we bought a Maytag, not knowing that they were made by Whirlpool. I guess we will have to wait until that guarantee is up before that also breaks. Also, last year, our Whirlpool washer pump broke and that cost us a few hundred dollars to repair. From the complaints that I am reading from people about their Whirlpool appliances, it is seems that their products are made to last just until the warranties expire. We should start a class action against Whirlpool. On many sites, I have read numerous complaints about Whirlpool products, the majority about the magnetrons in their microwave ovens breaking during and shortly after guarantees run out. They should not be allowed to get away with this. BBB, Consumer Affairs, where are you? To the many of you who have been burned by Whirlpool, I hope you have contacted the BBB and Consumer Affairs and maybe even the Attorney Generals office in your home state.

In 2011 we bought a Whirlpool Washer (WTW4950XW). We had a one year warranty. There have been problems ever since we bought it. Of course it is no longer under warranty. In the last few months we have encountered brown spots on clothing. The washer has always spent an inordinate amount of time Scanning. It does not matter how much I readjust the load. I ALWAYS must do an extra Spin and Drain. Sometimes Rinse and Drain helps...sometimes not. Sometimes the machine indicates it MIGHT be finished washing but only the clothing on the bottom of the load is damp. It does not rinse the soap out. Recently when I washed my husbands coat several times -- he had to finally hang it in the shower when he bathed to get the soap out.We had repairmen out once when we had the warranty. They said the drainage hose was wrong. We adjusted that. I called Whirlpool more than once about our problems. They said they could not help because we had no warranty. OK. One young lady said we could get a 5 year warranty for $353. For $499 we might get a machine without all the 747 dials and tweets and fewer government, EPA amenities. Whats wrong with this picture? My old washer lasted 30 years. We are very, very sorry we did not repair it. All I want is a washer that will provide me with clean clothing, towels, sheets and blankets in a timely manner. That does not seem to me to be too much to expect. I am considering a washboard! Or the shower for ALL my laundry! I am angry and frustrated. I always considered Whirlpool a good brand.

In 2011, I bought in Croatia, for the start, 2 washers (model 3LCHW9100WQ) and 1 dryer (model 3LCED9100WQ) and opened the first self-service laundry in Pula, Croatia. Since the beginning, I had problems with the gum (black). After the washing cycles, you could see black lines on the laundry. Whirlpool Croatia denied that the gum can be the cause. After two months, they gave me new gums, but the problem still exists. After 5 months of work, the first malfunction on the washers started. The biggest problem is that it took and still takes them up to a month to repair them. And these problems I have ever since. Also, the error codes never showed the correct malfunction code. In global, if I take that I have these washers and dryer for about a year, they were out of function for more than 3 months. The warranty expired in April 2012. On these reasons, I cannot recommend any product of Whirlpool, and I have to change to another company to buy more washers and dryers.

The Whirlpool hot water heater model ES80H123-45D from Lowe’s is a free replacement for a lifetime warranty unit that went bad after 8 years. First heater would heat to 154 degrees with a setting of 150. Very good. New one heats to 140 degrees with a setting 150 degrees. Digital ESM screen on heater reads 150, but the water is only 140 by my temperature test. I talked to complaint line 5 times in 7 days and was told to do various test, but the temp never went past 140. They replaced both thermostats and temperature still never past 140 with ESM reading 150. They first told me standard temperature was plus or minus 5 degree range. Then, they changed their minds and said it was 10 degrees. They are calibrating their equipment to operate 10 degrees less then their Energy Smart module reads to cover up a performance issue with their water heater. They say this unit will operate between 80 and 150 degrees—nothing’s said about a plus or minus operating range. I will buy a new temperature gauge to see if my old one is correct. It was tested against a digital one a couple of years ago when I had a new dishwasher installed by Lowes. The installers gauge read over 152 and mine read 154 degrees at the sink next to the new dishwasher, so it was close to accurate at that time. Whirlpool is happy with their under-performance.

Stainless steel side-by-side refrigerator (4 yrs. old) - I have to continually clean the rust stains. Ive used the products Whirlpool has suggested and the rust continues to appear. Lowes extended warranty does not cover this problem because it is cosmetic; Whirlpool reps say its due to the coastal area where I live and that they cant do anything about it! I understand that there are many customers experiencing the same problems with Whirlpool products. Their customer service is worthless and is their warranty to stand behind their products!

Our 2 yr old Whirlpool Gold refrigerator (French doors, bottom freezer) stopping freezing/cooling. When we got a repairman to come take a look at it, he said the compressor is not working. The warranty on the fridge is only 1 year. However, the compressor is the main component of a refrigerator, and the repairman said 5-6 years is the minimum it should last before breaking. I called Whirlpool and asked them to pay for the repairs of what is quite obviously a defective part. They refused. Needless to say, I will never, ever buy another Whirlpool product again.

I am so unhappy with my Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer. The clothes get so tangled and twisted that it stretches my sweaters totally out of shape. There is not enough water on any of the cycles that really clean your clothes. I saved my money so I could get something energy efficient and look great in my new laundry room. I would never recommend this product. Your sheets will not come clean because they ball up in the middle of the washer and come out partly dry. I have had this set for 3 years and now the bearing is gone; it leaks from the bottom and throws grease all over my new floor. I have battled the horrible odor since the second month. It smells so bad that I make sure I dont wash the day I have guest over. I am so disappointed and mad at myself for not reading any reviews before I spent my hard earned money. So here I am now 3 years into my ownership and having to spend more money on a defective product. The sad part is that I really thought I was getting something nice that would last me and my husband for years. There are only two of us in our household. This machine does not work properly; now it is broken, but hey it really looks good.

We bought the Whirlpool duet washer & dryer in the winter 2011. The washer is absolutely awful. I have to keep it set on the Whitest White setting so every load gets a second rinse. In order for my clothes to smell CLEAN I use bleach in every load I can. With the loads I absolutely cant use bleach in, I have to be standing waiting to put the clothes in the dryer or I have to rewash the entire load because of the smell!! My towels are ruined from the bleach and my clothes are faded because of the multiple wash cycles. I have used the recommended Affresh numerous times and it does not help! Needless to say this washer was a total WASTE of money! We will be purchasing a new washer very soon! It will NOT be Whirlpool!!

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio on October 27th, 2010. The Cabrio is always giving me the UL code, which indicates the load isnt in balance. Ive been doing laundry for 27 years. I know how to load dirty clothes into a washing machine evenly. Sometimes it will take me all day to do one load of laundry! Seven months after my purchase, my Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine started giving me the F51 error code. I called the phone number on my Lowes receipt for warranty work. Two weeks later, I finally had my washing machine running again. I was happy and thought Id only have to deal with the UL code. Boy was I wrong?!Now Im two weeks away from my warranty expiring. Im getting the F51 error code again! This washing machine is an $800 piece of junk! Hopefully, I can get the Cabrio repaired before my warranty expires in two weeks. I do a lot of laundry. We are a family of six. So, I know Im hard on washing machines but come on. Shouldnt an $800 washing machine last at least two years? Im not even a full year into owning this junky washer and Ive had two breakdowns! In my opinion, this washing machine needs to be recalled and people need a reliable replacement or refund.

I purchased a Whirlpool oven/range from Lowes in September 2016. It was working ok until the convection fan stopped working. I purchased the extended warranty for 3 years but the oven stopped working in December (3 months past the extended warranty). When I contacted Whirlpool to complain about the horrible product they have been selling to people, all they could do was suggest a repair company that charges $99 to come out and diagnose the problem. DO NOT BUY any whirlpool appliances. The name brand used to signify quality but the appliances they sell now will not last. BTW I may have used the convection function maybe once per month over the past 3 years ... So its not like I over used the oven.

Bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer Dryer combination on 4-5-2009, had it delivered on 4-20-2009, was very excited to get this set as it was like my first ever brand new washer dryer. I thought Id spend the money get something good and it would last for years and years. Was I ever wrong. I bought the set and the extended warranty from Lowes and my total with delivery was 2579.00. 20 days after the extended warranty expires (that I never used) the bearings on my Washer go bad. This thing in spin cycle sounds like a jet engine. I called to see if Lowes would still honor my warranty because I never used it and they said no. I called Whirlpool and checked to see if there was a recall and they said no. I checked to see if there is anything they could do at all because this is a huge known issue and of course they said no. (Just look on YouTube for Whirlpool bearing replacement and the amount of views should indicate the amount of troubled users.)Called a repair scheduled through Whirlpools website to come look at it for a 75 dollar assessment and they said it would be about 500-550 to replace the outer tub - largely due to the fact its labor intensive and the bearings are packed in the outer tub from the factory. I was like are you ** kidding me? I paid 1029 for the unit brand new in 2009 and 550 to fix? I said thank you to the repair guy and escorted him nicely out. Upon that I called back Whirlpool to tell them how displeased I am and how I will not be another product of theirs ever and mostly due to the fact they know this is a huge issue and wont do anything about it. I will be going to Lowes to see if the guy who sold me this pile of crap will work me a deal on another unit or set of another brand after I show him my receipt and express my displeasure with that product. If they wont do anything I will go to another store and spend my money elsewhere - I have choices and others do too. So if you are thinking about buying anything in the Cabrio line, dont. Go Samsung or LG - 10 year warranty straight from the manufacturer and costs 200-300 less than I paid for my washer dryer 5 years ago. The bearings are ** and shouldve lasted a lot longer for the amount I used this machine and for what I paid! Shame on you Whirlpool for using crappy parts to make your machines.

Major plumbing work to rectify that. My complaint with Whirlpool is the washer doesnt work. It will partially fill and then stops. The wash light then lights up and nothing happens. I let it sit for three hours and the clothes never washed. It took an act of God to get the washer to empty. It never did spin the clothes. I was so excited when my husband bought me this as a gift this past year as we are a family of 6 which means lots of laundry. The first few months I assumed it was operator error trying to learn how the new one worked. Well here we are months later googling why it makes my clothes dirtier coming out than they were going. It leaves black linty looking streaks on all my white clothes, both inside and out and leaves white linty looking streaks on my darks, also both inside and outside. It DOES NOT REMOVE PET HAIR AT ALL! If you purchase one, and have long haired pets that shed, expect to invest in some lint remover. Im on my third type in an attempt to save me time. I will say OxiClean laundry detergent seems to be the only detergent that actually cleaned the clothes. Sadly, stores around here stopped selling. And whatever you do, DO NOT USE LAUNDRY PODS. It DOES NOT DISSOLVE THE HOUSING AND LEAVES SLIMY RESIDUE ALL OVER YOUR CLOTHES. I believe this is due to the fact that despite the setting, it uses little no hot water. Which would be great if it actually cleaned your clothes. I could run my clothes under a faucet with no soap and they would cleaner than this pos. Bottom line. Dont waste your money and if you do keep your expectations very low!

Manufacturer refuses to acknowledge quality issues. This is not exclusive for the washer or dryer, IT IS BOTH! P.S. I owned & operated a Whirlpool Cabrio washer & dryer for 6+ years before up-sizing & loved them! I was grossly misled by the retailer to believe the new Cabrio washer & dryer were the same as the previous model of Cabrio. They are not. Their performance is subpar. Not what I would expect from top of the line. Washer does not spin out as dry as the previous model. It will not show error codes on display so I can deal with the issue at hand-it just shuts down. Dryer sensors do not work properly. It will not dry, or overdries to the point of shrinking clothing beyond use. This $2800 purchase is continuing to cost me money. I have never been more upset with a purchase than this. I have to babysit these machines. There is a bolt in the back wall of the dryer drum. Hence my destroyed brand new hand crocheted afghan. Oh and did I tell you that their licensed repair man told me that I should not be laundering bedding in my machines at home? Apparently there are no home use machines on the market that are able to wash bedding. Sheets. Pillowcases. All of it needs to go to a commercial laundromat. Ha! Makes a person question who we let in our home. If you would like a positive - its huge. But wont spin out a small load effectively.I have recommended and led to sale of dozens of the previous Cabrio model. I will no longer be standing behind this model or company after the poor customer service. Their answers are scripted. Its like speaking to a robot. No one is accountable anymore. The inside glass of the oven door shattered. I have not used the oven for months. Only the the top cooking burners have been used. Its a mystery to me!! I have read complaints where the glass shattered while the oven was in use or being cleaned, but have found none where this happened to a cold oven. The large front burner is too hot. Even on the lowest setting everything burns. You cannot simmer, only boil. The control knobs have (in my opinion) no safety mechanism. I thought that the control knobs on stoves needed to be child proofed, hard for a child to turn on. My last stove you had to push down quite hard then turn to the setting. Not this stove. I have to be so careful when Im cleaning the area around the knobs. The slightest pressure and the knob turns. When I first purchased the stove while cleaning it, I unknowingly turned the knob and the kitchen filled with gas before I realized what had happened. I called Whirlpool thinking something was broken. They sent out a repairman. Nothing was broken. That is the way it is made. Customer Service said they had had no other complaints about the knobs. I find that hard to believe. My toddler grandchild can turn on the stove with ease. Im sure other concerned parents etc. have had this complaint. To sum it up... I will probably never purchase a Whirlpool product again.

I found out the washer needs new tub bearings ~ $200. The washer is tearing up towels during the wash cycle not sure what the cause is.My washer will only wash clothes in certain cycles (bulk). I keep getting error codes in normal or other cycles. The washer takes long time to fill so it times out during fill cycle. I replaced fill lines and checked for blockage, everything was clear. The washer probably needs either new motherboard or water inlet valve. Not sure which, maybe both? It is impossible to wash a load of clothes without getting the UL unbalanced load indicator. I also have problems balancing the load. I have taken wet clothes out and put them back in with no luck. It takes hours for a load to finally wash. The dryer has had its problems. I just replaced the belt tensioner on the dryer because it was making a terrible screeching sound. The noise was very annoying. I am very disappointed with quality of Whirlpool products. However, don’t worry about improving customer relations because I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. P. S. How come you have not issued product recall? There are 1,000s of similar complaints concerning the Cabrio washer. Frustrated customer.

I purchased a GW399LXUS Whirlpool Gas Range. This is the slide in kind. I paid 1658.00 dollars for this stove, because it was a gas convection oven. We purchased it on 7/21/09. Just yesterday, the keypad numbers stopped working. I cannot even set a temperature for the oven. So now, I can only use the burners. I called Whirlpool today. They told me that my stove does not have any recalls so there is nothing they can do about it. I spoke with Jessica in Michigan. I told her how dissatisfied I was that the stove is only 2 years old and the most important part (the buttons) stopped working and they only cover this for one year. She told me that I have to remember that man made things are made to stop working at some time. I told her they should work for longer than 2 years. I remember way back when my parents bought a stove or fridge and they lasted for 15 to 20 years before breaking or stopping to work.I am a long time Whirlpool customer and always had good luck with their products. But I really feel that they should fix this problem. I could understand if the stove was 8 or 10 years old and something broke after using it, but not after 2 years. I will definitely tell everyone I know to not buy Whirlpool or Maytag since they are one in the same. I probably will not buy Whirlpool again and will have to buy something from Japan since it will last longer. So much for buying American made junk!

We bought a Whirlpool Cabrio 6300 washer based off the salesmans recommendation (not very happy about this). After the warranty ran out, every time in the spin cycle, it makes a sound similar to a piece of metal banging around inside the cylinder during the cycle. Our friends have told us they had a similar experience and for their machine, they found out the bearings were going out. Weve had this machine a total of 3 years. I doubt we ever buy another item from HH Gregg plus will do our investigation on Consumer Buyers digest before we toss any more money out for a washing machine.

I love my washer and dryer but am a little disappointed in a few areas. First, my washer stopped spinning normally after a few years, I forget exactly why. Then my clothes were too wet when it was done. My dryer then did not get my clothes dry in one cycle. Also, it was going to cost $500 to fix my washer which wasnt worth it. But Whirlpool did send us a new tub and all the parts for free. Thankfully my husband is handy and after finding a YouTube video, replaced it all and now it works again. My dryer still doesnt always dry everything all the way. I often have to do 2-3 cycles in the dryer to get my clothes dry. I thought there was supposed to be a sensor that would keep the dryer going until there was no more moisture. Maybe that is broken too.

Purchased a matching set, Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washing Machine and Dry
Purchased a matching set, Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washing Machine and Dryer in November of 2012. After just over 2 years, Im stuck replacing the Washing Machine at my expense! The washing machine began leaking water out of the bottom of the unit and became extremely loud when operating it. The repair technician said it was a seal and bearing that needed replaced and the cost of repairing the unit would be cost prohibitive versus replacing the unit all together ($800+)! Originally paid over 2K to purchase these units and have them installed. I do not want to trust or rely on the Whirlpool brand again. I would appreciate any recommendation for a better quality, high capacity, HE washing machine brand to replace the Whirlpool unit with (Samsung, GE, LG)??

Purchased a Whirlpool French Door Refrig. Model #WRF 954CIHZ200 in 11/21/2017 from Best Buy for $2300.00 on sale. Within the 1st year the Ice Maker broke & repairman said the ill design caused the wire to break. He had replaced numerous ones for the same reason. In the 2nd yr the freezer started frosting. Next thing the freezer quit. Next day refrig quit working. Called Whirlpool, said, So sorry. We will send you a $50.00 Visa gift card. That was to cover $200.00 of just bought groceries. Called repair guy & he diagnoses compressor was bad. (IN A LESS THAN 2 YR OLD REFRIG. THAT COST $2300.00????)Now, we are 28 day w/o refrig. Living with a Igloo cooler. Whirlpool says they have no stock left on compressors for our refrig. (probably because there are so many going bad in their refrigerators). They are trying to locate one somewhere in US so that takes 6 days then they have to ship to repair center then they have to schedule us for repair which will probably be another 7 days. Ghee, what a mess! Dont do it folks! Buy a LG or Samsung! If I had it to do again, thats what I would do! Whirlpool is Not what they use to be when I trusted them. Years ago. P.S. I bought microwave, stove, & dishwasher! They are all unsatisfactory! Never again!???

I replaced a 15 -year-old propane water heater with an electric on 02/01/14
I replaced a 15 -year-old propane water heater with an electric on 02/01/14, due to the high propane prices, $6 a gallon, and because I felt the heater should be replaced. After installing the electric water heater I filled with water purged all the air out, powered it up, went thru diagnostics and heated water to 120. After an hour I turned on the hot water at the kitchen faucet, hot water was there but not for long, water got cold,.I troubleshot the problem back to the anti-scald valve installed 15 years ago when I had a professional install the first tank. By placing my hand on the hot water line coming out of the tank, I found the water was indeed hot before the anti-scald valve, after the valve the water was cold indicating to me the valve was not functioning properly. I went to Lowes bought the parts to bypass and removed the valve, went home and in another hour had the problem solved! I wondered why I had to turn the temp upon the old heater to get hot water! I am very happy with my electric water heater, not only did Lowes have the last one in stock, it was on sale $100 off regular price, it is a digital controller type with water temperature setting on the front. I checked the temp at the water faucet in the kitchen. I had it set to 120, the water temp out was 119.8 on my digital thermometer. Water was too hot so I lowered it to 110, perfect temp for a hot shower. Even if the thing uses more electric than it should I still save because the fact of propane is so high I couldnt see spending $600 for 28 days of propane, versus $400 on a new electric water heater. I would rather pay a higher electric bill than feel I am getting ripped off with the propane dealers! Also there is absolutely no residual heat loss. This is well insulated even comes with pipe insulation!

I purchased my new washing machine in September 2011. When I removed the clothes from the washer after the first wash, I noticed that there was soap on several of the items. I ran them through another rinse and spin cycle, and there was still soap on several items. In an effort to avoid this problem, I no longer use the soap dispenser tray, and use the bulky cycle to get more water in the tub. Like most of the others, the clothes are tangled and stretched from one side of the tub to the other. Also, it takes 1 hour and 36 minutes to run a complete cycle. The manager of Sears tells me, that because of government regulations, that in a few years, you will not be able to buy any other type of washer. I purchased this machine, because it was highly recommended by Consumers Report magazine. I filed a complaint with them eight days ago, but have not had a response.

I like the little reservoirs where you could put your fabric softener and soap which this one does not have but it was a good price so I ended up purchasing it. This refrigerator (Model #wrf560seymoo, Serial # VS31343718) was new in April 2013. In the last 3 years it has required 3 service repairs. Two under the extended warranty, one recent one 3 months out of warranty. All repairs came up in the last 3 years. The first repair addressed frost build up in the freezer. The second required replacement of the water filter compartment and the third will be addressing water dripping from the freezer door when I open it. Even after turning off the ice maker and removing the frozen puddle from the bottom of the freezer, it still drips water when I open the door. I have a call into service on this right now. I would like the company to fix the current issue even though it is outside of warranty. This product is too new to have so many problems and be just over 5 years old.

We had the Whirlpool electric range delivered yesterday. The clock light is too bright! Keeps the house lit all night! Do I really need to pay the cost of burning this? Additionally, it’s so annoying that we will not be keeping the range. If I needed a nightlight, I would buy one. Very poor design. The lights on the other appliances go out when not in use, one would think the range would have been designed to do so as well. I have NEVER had a problem with a stove light being too bright. This is ridiculous.

After 32 years of marriage and nothing but Whirlpool (because my mother swore by Whirlpool), that is all we have used. I am so disappointed in the Cabrio washer/dryer set we purchased at Lowes. After 18 months, the dryer just quit. The best part is, we hang clothes out most of the time. It was used one winter, $1400 wasted. We put a cheap Admiral in our second home and spent $500 total and they work fine. I will never ever purchase Whirlpool anything or recommend to anyone. Again, you lost a family tradition.

Whirlpool tells its technicians that the front molding piece on their dryers is a disposable part . Basically, it has to be removed to examine the console and removing it will break it 90% of the time. Therefore, the customer will have to replace a $100.00 part simply to diagnose any problems. I now have a dryer with no front panel simply because I wanted to know why a button was sticking.

Four months after purchasing an $1,800 stainless French door fridge it began to not cool even though it was running. I called and was on hold for 45 minutes, then transferred to a different service company that could only come 3 days later. They were here a total of 3 times and each time they could not fix it. It would run for a few days or weeks then die again. Each time I lost a few hundred dollars in food. Each time I was on the phone for almost an hour, and each time it was days later before they would come. Whirlpool refused to refund or swap out the unit. I would have been stuck if it were not for Home Depot finally agreeing to exchange it for an LG.I have never been so upset with any companies customer service in my 45 yrs. The only reason that I am writing this is because my Sony 65 TV died the other day. It was 6 months old and I called Sony. They answered within four minutes and quickly decided to exchange it for a new one and extend my warranty for 2 additional years. There are still decent companies out there. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

Approximately 2 years after purchasing a Whirlpool Gold Bottom Freezer refrigerator, I noticed cracks/openings on the interior walls on the ledge that holds the glass shelf! It is completely Crushing the styrofoam inside the refrig? Also, signs of being Cheaply made veggie bins are held in place by a piece of plastic that cracked after a few months. This was in 2011. First, I contacted the service contract people. They told me this was not covered under the policy. Next, I wrote & called the company. The walls show the styrofoam stuffing in the refrig. The shelves rest on these openings in the vinyl walls of the refrig box. This is a disaster and the refrig was 1400$$$. I have extended warranty which does not cover structure!!! What can one do with a New expensive refrigerator that has cracks in the Wall of the refrigeration box? Is there a class action suit anywhere that I can join?

Whirlpool washing machine was not a good buy at all specially after using it and seeing that over the years I had to incur high costs of maintenance. Over the months and years of buying Whirlpool front load washing machine, I had to replace motor twice, digital display twice, motherboard twice THAT TOO at a very high price every time something broke. This time the angle that supports the drum broke and Whirlpool says drum needs to be replaced. HOWEVER, after waiting a month company says DRUM IS UNAVAILABLE. Which means my machine has become absolutely useless just because Whirlpool does not have the spare. Whirlpool has a ridiculous track record with poor service and poor product quality. Manufacturing in one country and selling it in another WITHOUT SPARES is defective and poor service, totally unreliable. Wouldnt recommend Whirlpool to anyone.

I installed this Whirlpool Gold Series oven in December just before Christmas. I cooked a 9lbs Turkey for over 4hrs at 350 degrees (it should have only taken 21/2 hrs at 325) used a thermometer to test the temp. Well the breast part was fine but later in the evening I removed the entire turkey only to find that the legs, thighs and bottom of the turkey was still RAW. Lucky no one had asked for that part of the turkey. Next I tried a small prime rib roast. Same thing happened. The top of the roast was fine and the bottom was RAW. I dont dare cook anything in the oven now. Called whirlpool and they are going to send someone to look at it but I wont hold my breath for any results. After reading the same complaint on several reviews and the TV show Marketplace it seems to be pretty standard for this product.

Cabrio Washer WTW6600SW1 - We purchased this washing machine back in January of 2007 and have had nothing but issues with it. We thought Whirlpool was an upstanding brand and weve found out otherwise. They havent stood behind their product or the issues we have had along with all the other people. There has been a Facebook page about the Famous F1 error code. We have had numerous other error codes we have had to pay to have someone come out to fix. We paid almost $700 for this machine and have had to pay out several hundred more dollars just in repairs. Not worth the money and the company doesnt deserve to be in business if they dont back their product. I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer and dryer a couple of years ago and have disliked the washer from the first wash. I have followed the instructions on how to load the washer which, first of all, takes more time than any other washer I have ever had to load. Second, the clothes come out so wrapped around each other that its almost impossible to separate them. They are wrinkled to the point that the dryer cant even de-wrinkle them, and some have even been damaged. Third, the load doesnt smell fresh even though I have cleaned the washer as instructed. I bought my Cabrio Platinum Washer and Dryer in 2013 (4 years old). About a month ago, it started sounding like an airplane was landing in the house while on spin cycle. I called a repairman and he said the bearings were going bad and it would be better to buy a new machine. When we pulled out the washer, there was grease all over the floor - apparently a seal started leaking and the bearings had no grease so they started burning up. I talked with Whirlpool, after all it was only 4 years old and a seal leaking and burning the bearings up wouldnt be from normal wear. They were not convinced and offered to give me a discount on a new one -- No Way! I went with another brand recommended by the repairman. The screws on the dryer door also came out and we had to replace them. So much for the Whirlpool brand and especially their top of the line machines. I will not buy another Whirlpool washer or dryer.

We bought a new brand Whirlpool, ice berg, 2 door refrigerator in 2006. It worked fine for 6 months and then started giving all the problems. Until now, we have repaired it at least 10-15 times with company servicemen and also private repair shops. We are just so tired and frustrated will all that we have gone through because of this fridge. Today, the main door just came out and it is probably the 16th incident. We are hardworking people and take a lot pleasure and find lot of happiness in buying something new. It took us almost 2 years to save money for this new fridge with cost us about Rs. 20,000. But I should mention this that we have already more than Rs. 10,000 in repairs.I am sure this would just be another email in one of your inboxes but wanted to write this and convey the message that we are hurt. We do not want to take any legal actions as middle class men in India do not have the resources to do that. But I would surely not buy anything of your brand going forward and would not suggest anyone for it. Writing this in assumption that you understand the pain middle class men goes through to but something worth Rs. 20k and spends another Rs. 10k for repairs. We had high expectations from your product but that was not to be.Following were the problems we face in last 4 years: 1. Refrigerator not cooling (5-7 times); 2. Top door broken (1 time); 3. Main door broken (1 time); 4. Water leak problems (5-7 times). I hope someone will read this and forward it to concerned department.
