Whirlpool Upright Freezer Model EV205NXTN01 – The freezer door interior plastic panel bows away from freezer cabinet causing door gasket not to seal. The new gasket doesnt help since the groove of the gasket mounts in bows outward with the interior plastic panel in the door. The freezer is 20 months old now and had the door replaced for the same reason at 10 months old. Now, Whirlpool says sorry it’s out of warranty. Guess they want me to buy a new door every year. I wont be buying Whirlpool products anymore as I dont need another boat anchor.

We bought our Whirlpool Cabrio 7 years ago and it was great at first. I have not had any trouble with it ripping clothing. The clothes are clean. Its constantly breaking down. First it was the drain pump. Then the main computer board went! I called Whirlpool and of course the lady says its not covered. I had back up though. Google is amazing! I asked why this wasnt a recall as all over the web, people had this same problem. I pushed and pushed and she put me on hold. Came back to say it was in fact covered. What? Really? What changed your mind? She wasnt allowed to tell me. Supposedly had something to do with the date of manufacture. So okay, they send the repair guy out, its fixed. Now tonight, the lid locks and nothing happens! This repair was about 6 months ago. Grrrrr. Its been one thing after another with this hunk of expensive junk. When I buy an appliance I expect it to be problem free for far longer than this. I am not getting a code or anything, just dead air. So frustrating with three kids not being able to do laundry when I need it randomly :( Has anyone else had this problem? The lid locks, then does nothing. I unplugged it, pressed off and restarted it. Changed settings. Nothing is working.

I bought a 50-gal. Whirlpool electric hot water heater about 6 years ago from Lowes. About every two years, something goes bad. So far, I had to replace electronic control board that sits on top of heater twice. Then the heating element went bad. Well, this time, the electronic control board started to smoke and melt. I was home so I smelled something melting and found it. What would have happened if I was not at home? I have dogs that are like my kids; they could have been killed. Whirlpool wants to send the replacement parts knowing this part is no good. Do not buy a Whirlpool electric water heater! Now, Im scared the next time I wont be at home to find the thing smoking. I dont have money to buy a new one. How many other people have the same problem?

I bought my Whirlpool top loading washing machine 07-22-14. I so dislike the locking mechanism and will be certain to never, ever buy a machine with that feature again. It is so irritating to try to add something but cant because its locked so have to hold the button 3 seconds to unlock and start all over. If there was any way to get around it I would. I will stay away from Whirlpool products in the future and will be sure to check the next time I buy that the lid of the washer can be lifted when not spinning. Also, I do not like that it sticks on rinse sometimes and the only way to end a cycle is to hold the button and then start over with much wasted water.

WTW6340WW0 - When washing clothes, on the last spin it stops and gives an UL error message. I make sure all the clothes are level and restart at that point but still the UL error message appears and water starts leaking from the underneath of the machine. Weve reset the and unplug the machine but no difference. Please help on what else to do.

I just love the durability of my machine and the features that it offers. It does a great job washing my clothes and I feel like its a solid appliance that lasts for many years and its good quality for the price.

Even the repairman said Whirlpool isnt making them like they used to even though they are charging more for newer appliances. The freezer has clogged, ice maker already broken, have to replace $400.00 for just the icemaker. As a real estate agent, I will make sure and let our new home buyers never to purchase Whirlpool again!

I purchased this machine from Sears on 04/23/2016 and have had nothing but problems and issues with it. It is loud and makes different sounds every time I use it. It has overfilled and underfilled with water a few times, the machine shuts down while washing and I have had to restart the machine. Half the time the clothes come out covered in soap and I have to put them through another rinse cycle. My bedding always has to either go through a second rinse cycle due to being covered in soap or I have to rewash it because it is all packaged together in the fitted sheet and never got washed. During the spin cycle it sounds like it is getting ready launch into outer space and it vibrates excessively. On numerous occasions I have had to untie my clothes as they are tied in knots. There have been times that I had to put the clothes through another spin cycle because the clothes contained too much water. The final straw was last week (03/27/2019). I washed my sheets and they came out bundled up in the fitted sheet full of soap stains and I had to rewash them. When the sheets were done I put the comforter in the wash and started to clean the house. When I went into the laundry room the washer was not running but the wash light was on so I opened the lid and felt the comforter and found it to be dry. I closed the lid and pushed the start button. After a few seconds the washer shifted to rinse without even washing the comforter. When the washer stopped running and the ready light came on I removed the comforter, unplugged the machine, shut off the water, disconnected the water hoses, placed the machine on a dolly and took it to my scrap pile. I could not find any Whirlpool washers with any good reviews so I purchased a Speed Queen with a 5 year parts and labor warranty.

We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer & dryer. The glass lid design is VERY POORLY constructed and should be replaced by Whirlpool. We paid over $200 the first time the lid broke and was told this is going to be a continuing problem. They were correct! We subsequently replaced the lid 2 additional times only to have the same break on the right hand side causing the lid to pop up. Something must be done and WHIRLPOOL need to care for their machinery. They should replace the lids or provide a major incentive for consumers to replace the washer. PLEASE DO SOMETHING!

Bought this Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine 4 years ago not knowing it was a low level water washing machine. A man would have had to design this piece of crap. Not only does it not clean the clothes because the agitation on it is as slow as sloth. On top of that the clothes tie themselves in a knot when finished. If you don’t want the frustration of clothes washing, I would highly recommend you not buy this type, if you enjoy cussing then this machine is for you.

I purchased a Whirlpool duet set on sale at Lowes about two years ago. The front loading washer has been leaking when I put in a full load of clothes. It usually floods the floor when it leaks. I am upset and very angry because this leak has ruined the doors to my washer doors. Apparently, the defects with this machine was known by Lowes and the Whirlpool company at the time that I purchased it (thus the sale price). This was not forementioned at the time of purchase. What a lousy way to do business. Whirlpool screwed me. Shame on me. Never again.

My wife dropped a liter of pop 12 inches and broke the plastic shelf on pantry door. When I called Whirlpool, I was told its under use and abuse and they wont pay for the repair. It is an electronic component because of the pantry door. I asked to speak with a supervisor who would only apologize... I asked for the phone number to Corporate and was told there is no number, no email, just a street address to send a letter. How 1950s of them. Owned fridge for 4 months paid for the extended warranty and now I can pay $200 plus or look at a cracked shelf.

I bought a top of the line Whirlpool front load washing machine (WFW97HEDW0) and drier with my new construction house. After a few months the washing machine began making a loud, banging noise during the spin cycle. Then about a month before the 1 year was up the unit broke and dumped all the water in the drum into the catch pan it was installed on. I called for service and someone showed up in about 3 days. The tech opened the unit and found that the plastic/composite drum the spin unit was contained in split in half all the way around. The tech exclaimed he had never come across this issue and would report in what he found but that he did not have the part and it would most likely be a whole new unit but that its up to whirlpool to make the call. I would find out that whirlpool had decided that the unit can be fixed and they have ordered the part and would call to schedule the repair.A week went by, with no word. I called warranty service company, Via Services, and they tell me that the part is on back order and that it would be two more weeks before it would come in. Now were looking at being without a washing machine for a month. I communicate this to the builder and they somehow get whirlpool to come out a week earlier than they said they could. The day came for the repair and two techs take nearly 8 hours to repair the unit (how is this efficient?).After the repair the unit ran with an odd noise that I attributed to the way it was stacked. A month goes by and two days after the 30 day repair warranty I go to do a load of laundry and the unit turns on but wont run. I called for warranty work because it was clearly not repaired sufficiently. I schedule a tech visit which is for a week after. The day come and the tech says he cant fix the unit without charging me for the repair because it is now out of warranty and if I have the extended warranty then I need to set that up with the extended warranty group. I send him away because I had just paid for the extended warranty. I called whirlpool for the extended warranty work and they schedule a repair contractor to come out in 3 days.The repair contractor calls me directly to confirm if the unit is side by side or stacked. I let them know that the units are stacked and they say they cant repair it because its a two tech job and they dont have enough techs. They send me back to talk to whirlpool. Whirlpool then notifies me that because its stacked I have to either unstack it myself or hire someone to unstack it for me. Well, I cant unstack the unit by myself and why should I have to pay someone to unstack it when thats what the unit was designed for? At this point I am going back and forth with the builder to get a refund so I can replace the unit. I will forever steer clear of any whirlpool or subsidiary products. The products are flimsy and the service is no better.

My Whirlpool dishwasher is used 2-3 times per week. The interior has more than adequate space for a full load of pots, plates and utensils. A normal cycle is used and the washer is essentially very quiet. Dishes/glassware always come out spotless and squeaky clean.

I bought my Cabrio washer about 3.5 years ago. Little after the year, I had to replace the lid because the hinge broke. Then came the F1 code, which I noticed if you turn the machine off for a couple of minutes, it resets itself. About a week ago, it started making a grinding noise and staining the clothes with oil or grease. Transmission problems. I was told by the seller it had a 10 year warranty. I called them up and now I got to foot the bill for a technician to come to my house and tell me what I already know plus labor. Might as well buy a new one. Beware because I believe Kenmore is manufactured by the same company.

My Whirlpool Dishwasher Model# DU980QPDP, just quit a few days ago after 21 1/2 years. We paid $554.04 for it back in 1995. It was the top of the line. Quiet, with 4 fold down shelves on the top rack. Silverware basket on the door. Also a separate knife basket on the door. It came with extra interchangeable door panels. When the white ones got dented we changed to the black ones. The racks are still in good condition. Never had one repair on this dishwasher, though I used it every day, sometimes twice a day. It had a 4 year warranty on the control panel and a 20 year warranty on the tub and door. We would have it repaired, but cant get the part.

My Whirlpool Duet washer was purchased on August 2006. The first one had to be replaced as it flooded my laundry room on the first floor and the basement – not once but twice. When I was told that they would send yet another service person out to try and fix it, I told them it would be at the curb and that I was looking forward to filing a lawsuit. Then after being on hold for forever and getting the company that sold me the unit involved, they replaced the washer at no charge.From day one I hated this washer machine. If you failed to take the clothes out immediately after washing, they would get a musty type odor and I never felt the clothes got cleaned enough. Yesterday, I went to empty a load of laundry and it was soaking wet with water pooling in the bottom of the barrel. Today, I had a certified Whirlpool tech come and look at the washer and he told me to put it at the curb as the rear bearing is shot and needed to be replaced. He also told me not to buy another front loader and the cost of the repair would be approximately $800.Thank you to Whirlpool for manufacturing a true hunk of crap that, may I say, cost me $1300. I will make sure I tell everyone I know that your products are crap and I would rather wash my clothes by hand. I did call the WP customer service number and was told that this is unheard of and that these machines rarely have any problems. After just reading multiple complaints of the exact same problem, I now know that this product is inferior and the design of the bearing assembly is seriously flawed. A major recall is probably in the near future and Whirlpool is hoping that most people will just dump them before the recall is made public.

I spent what I consider to be a lot of money on the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer which I purchased in 2007. Within months, I was getting error messages on the washer, specifically an F51. Thankfully, it was covered by warranty. Whirlpool knew then and there that these things were lemons. The repairman told me he couldnt keep up with fixing that issue. I have since had to replace the motherboard on the washer at a cost of $359, and the idler pulley on the dryer at $221; not to mention the metal catch on the dryer broke. I ordered a plastic one on eBay. I will never buy another Whirlpool product as long as I live! They make junk!

Over the last 3 years, the self-cleaning oven has decided to lock the door and clean itself with my food still inside on five different occasions. There is no way to override the lock. We have to shut off the electric power completely then wait for the oven to cool down before we can open the door and remove the charcoal substances! This happened once while a member of our fire department was here for dinner.This is one of the most frustrating and dangerous events ever! Please, please, please do not purchase a Whirlpool self-cleaning oven! I will never purchase one again. I was so excited to have a glass top stove and the first time this happened, I thought it was just a freak occurrence. But it is happening again and again. My oven is kept clean in attempt to avoid this, but to no avail. Not only am I afraid of a fire, but Im also out too many dollars of food waste! How disappointing to be cooking dinner and have it ruined by the oven. Nothing was burning in the oven at the time it decided to lock itself either! Disappointed, frustrated, and extremely miffed!

My whirlpool Cabrio washer top load had the rust problems, bearing problems, support arms replaced along with the complete drive assembly motor bearings and all the parts. My bearings have failed 3 times since 2009. This machine is junk. Customer service at Whirlpool is a joke. They treat you as if you have had to do something wrong. Finally I spoke with a salesman who said speak with the warranty company. I have the extended warranty which I advise everyone who purchases an appliance to get one. So I spoke with them and they sent me a check for a new machine. I must say our warranty company has been very helpful. So THIS IS MY WARNING TO ALL. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM WHIRLPOOL. The Cabrio is the absolute worst washer that Ive ever owned! No matter what combination of setting I use, my clothes come out dingy, all twisted and wrinkled, and full of lint and detergent residue (I use liquid detergent made specifically for HE washers). Every setting runs for over an hour. So much for high efficiency! What it saves on water it more than wastes on electricity!! More often than not, the entire load becomes enveloped in one of the items to create one huge ball. A t-shirt stretched to encompass the remaining clothes into a perfect sphere! When that happens, some of the laundry in the middle of the big ball is barely damp. The dryer is just as bad, even the towels come out wrinkled. How is that possible? And again, it takes over an hour to dry a load.Whirlpool customer service is awful. When I called to complain, the agent began schooling me on how to wash clothes. Im 66 years old, Ive washed a few clothes in my lifetime and have always prided myself in my white whites and bright colors. I have a new house and the builder provided all the appliances. Based on my past negative experience with Whirlpool products and their customer service, I would not have purchased Whirlpool.

I purchased a Whirlpool water heater about 9 months ago. The thermocouple went out and was replaced, but about three to four months went out again. Very disgusting.

We remodeled our house 5 years ago, and bought all new GE/Whirlpool appliances (washer, dryer, microwave, refrigerator, oven, stove top, and water heater), and weve just passed the 5 year mark, and each appliance is failing one by one.

I have had many parts replaced on this refrigerator regarding ice maker. But nonetheless yesterday opened freezer and noticed a huge crack about 12 inches on the inside right of the freezer, not near a shelf or anything. I call today of course warranty is up after my 2 yr and Whirlpool says sorry maam there is nothing we can do. Seriously I purchased 2 years and 2 months ago @ $1560 and I’m told I would have to purchase a new one. I will never purchase another Whirlpool anything for we have had nothing but problems with them not standing behind their product. Model #GSS30C6EYY03. This is crazy to me. I have never heard of a refrigerator just cracking through.

On 12/27/2013 I bought a Whirlpool hot water heater from Lowes Model NU50T122-403. On 12-13-2015 the pilot went out. When I called tech support on 12-14-2015 they gave number what were call centers or person who returned the calls. So I called a local plumber that I used before. He came out and told me that had to replace the pilot. On the 16th 2015 of Dec. that did not work and told us the heater needed to be replaced. The replacement will happen today I hope with little to no help from Whirlpool. I would advise you to do your homework before you buy a Whirlpool hot water heater.

I bought this stove 4 years ago from Lowes. I have had nothing but problems ever since. My family is now afraid to use the stove and Whirlpool refuses to stand behind their product. The last straw was a bill for a service call that took 6 months to complete without correcting the problem. Whirlpool sent me a bill for $100 to pay for the privileged. When I complained, WP said if I paid the invoice, they would give me a deal towards a new stove. Meanwhile, the old stove does not work and we are afraid to use it, given our experience with its reliability and safety. I plan to return it to Lowes and buy anything but a Whirlpool product. Beware of Whirlpool Maytag anything!! The customer service is shameful!!

The lower door closing cam has been replaced at least twice. The door continues to make a very loud noise when opening and closing. The refrigerator, a 2007 model came with the house I purchased in 2012. The refrigerator works very good, but the loud noise from opening and closing will wake a hibernating bear. The last repairman (from Sears) told me that the doors had been recalled, but I dont know who to contact or how to go about getting the replacement doors and getting them installed.I have a Home Warranty, and they sent Sears out twice to repair them, but after opening and closing 2-3 times, they go back to the loud noise. I have no idea where the refrigerator was purchased. I dont really want to rate my experience since I think the repairmen did all they could. I simply think this is a bad manufactured door problem, and I just want them replaced. The refrigerator works good, and I cant afford to purchase another just because of the doors.

Our over-the-range Whirlpool Microwave (Convection-Type) died 17 DAYS after one-year-warranty expired BUT theyre sending a local repair outlet out to fix it. I am very surprised... Thought Id be stuck with a $700 boat anchor. Thank you Whirlpool for standing-by your product. BTW... My research indicates these microwaves die quickly if you use the convection option very often... So now we know better.

The features on the washer is a wider size wash basket, no non-snag agitator with 5 load size choices, 5 water temperature choices, type of wash includes soak, quick wash, normal, deep water, heavy duty, bulky, hand wash, gentle, some other choices Along with a choice to wash your machine, one rinse or two rinses without fabric softener, one rinse or two rinses with fabric softener. And finally a selection for Pre-soak on or off. Also has a 3 light display for what it’s doing, lid lock, pause, cancel and start button. It’s an HE. Clothes come clean.

I am sure this will be removed quickly... But my advice to my fellow consumers is do not purchase Whirlpool appliances. They do not stand behind their products and they are a nightmare to deal with. I purchased my range (Model WEE730H0D50) May 8, 2017 and from that day the oven never work (the board was out on a brand new product). They arranged a service tech to come out 3 times. Each time the service tech discovered the replace board was damaged. So I have not been able to use my oven since I bought it in May. 3 months later now the stove top stopped working. You would think after all these issues they would replace their product. But nope I have to wait 2 weeks to get this lemon serviced again... I have young children at home which makes things worse...

I have had my Cabrio for a year now and quite frankly, I find more satisfaction taking all of my laundry to a local laundromat. There is no soak cycle and when you have a kid in sports, that doesnt help. There is no agitator, and I am now convinced that they were originally in all washers for a reason. My clothes have all worn out and are shredding, not to mention my very expensive bath towels that I am now cutting into rags. This was the worst purchase I have ever made in my life and will never even look at a Whirlpool again. When I bought my house, I had a Maytag that was 35 years old and it did a better job than the new Cabrio. Should have stuck with that brand!

This washing machine is a piece of junk. It broke down exactly 2 days after the one year warranty expired. Home Depot said there was nothing they could do and Whirlpool said the same thing. This washing machine was not used on a weekly basis. It perhaps washed 20 loads during the course of the year. I had many issues with the sensors before it broke down completely. Sometimes, half the clothes would be dry after the entire cycle. I was so angry that I had a local independent contractor come in and look at it. He said the motor was broken and needed to be replaced. So much for $700 down the drain. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. This was the worst experience Ive ever had with an appliance.

Its not even a year since I have had this washer / dryer--and I already made two service calls regarding the dryer. The washer does not get the clothes clean. When washing even one blanket, it bumps, grinds and does not wash well. I have had to do two loads compared to one in my Amana set. It is terrible. You have to stay with it while washing or always load. It gets uneven with any small load. Everyone I know hates this washer.

We bought a gas Whirlpool Stove from Lowes. We noticed it was not heating like our last stove and thought maybe because it was new. No the stove does not heat properly at all. I cooked a pork loin for 40 minutes at 350 and it was still raw in the middle. I have had to cook everything on 375 which makes the door handles and knobs very hot. I called Lowes and they patched me into Whirlpool after a 45 minute wait. The rep from Whirlpool said, you can look at the manual and figure out how to calibrate it. No I cant. I have a warranty that is what it is suppose to cover. Then I was on hold for another 20 minutes. Really no one should tell you to read a manual to fix a gas stove. I will not buy another Whirlpool item. Poor customer service and that make you feel you are bothering them.

Whirlpool has been an absolute nightmare from day 1. We bought a brand new 50-gallon water heater from Lowes. It did not work. We went back to Lowes and were told to contact whirlpool. We contacted Whirlpool and were told to conduct a number of test and all test passed, so they said we needed a plumber to come look at it. Remind you that this water heater is brand new and has not worked since day 1. They said the plumber would cost $130 and they would pay for parts. Why am I having to pay when my water heater has never worked. Paid the money. Had them come. They replaced a part, did not work, replaced another and it did not work, so the plumber requested a new water heater. Whirlpool refused. What is the point of paying and they are not going to fix it.Whirlpool insisted it was our ventilation even though all test proved that was not the problem. So out of pocket again to fix the ventilation and it did not work. After 2 months of no hot water with a two-year old at home we had someone we know come look at it and fixed the main pipe. Whirlpool took my money and didnt fix my problem. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

ET8AHKXRQ00 - Contacted store where purchased brand new in box, also contacted Whirlpool Corp., was told no repair nor replacement could be offered. Paid $1,500.00, freezer still works but lower box stopped exactly 7yrs after manufacturing date and purchase. A lot of $ to pay for a refrigerator that costs more to repair than large purchase price. I am extremely upset with this situation and brand.

Whirlpool Gold microwave quit heating after little use. We moved in house one year ago, microwave 6 years old. Spoke with Timena customer service rep. She took my model, serial info and clearly explained this model had defects and they would replace for free even though 1 year warranty was up. Delivery staff would call within 24 business hours. After 4 days I call back and get Mia rep, she claims I was disapproved for new unit after all?? I spoke to 2 supervisors above her Karin in Tennessee, and another. They claim I was mistaken??? I said, “Look up the recorded call and you will see the message is clear... They acted shifty and claimed I should buy a new starting at $1399!!! They would consider small discount?? Their rep was clear at first then they failed to back her up. Terrible customer service. Lied etc. Never buy Whirlpool!!! They are cheap and don’t stand behind reps. Awful company!!!

The first washing machine I bought was a Cabrio. Started having problems right off. After the repair people had been there several times we finally got Whirlpool to replace the machine. We got another washing machine. We bought two warranties because it kept tearing up. Repair people said this time it would take $1500 to fix it so of course AIG said, We will not pay this much. So I have a washing machine I have spent $1600 on and it leaves, greasy spots all over my clothes. So fed up with Whirlpools trash!!

Whirlpool Cabrio Top Load, Short Agitator to protect clothing, cost reasonable, on sale $800.00 both (Aug. 2013) - Sears credit no interest. Moved, and had to sell after a year, but I anticipated a long life r/t rating/reviews online. One Problem: no setting to soak clothing that may need it. I bought the largest Whirlpool Cabrio to make sure my Queen bedspread (heavy blanket type fur on one side) would fit. Because of the short agitator I could have bought the smaller one I discovered. I could fit 6 regular side and 4 beach heavy beach size towels in it easily, or two Queen quilts in at a time. I rarely needed an Xlg water setting. The dryer had a steam only setting but I never tried it because it was set up in the apartment when I arrived and the delivery people were not very bright. Put the Dryer farthest from the vent, washer farthest from faucets, and put hot and cold hoses on opposite spigots. I did not want to chance they set up the steam section wrong, as well. I moved across country 1 year later, but have trust the W/D would do well. My last Sears brand (made by Whirlpool) only had one minor problem (on warranty) and lasted a good 8-10 years before moving and selling them to another couple. They were still in wonderful working order (front loader).

I had my washing machine for about 10 days before it stopped working. I did about 4 loads of laundry. We have had 3 repair people come check it out, all referred by Whirlpool. They each had a different theory on why it wasnt working properly. Im now waiting for parts to be delivered and then service to be scheduled. When I contacted customer service, I was told (after waiting on hold for about 1 hour) that it was customer misuse. Ahem, first I heard that, and I think I know how to use a washing machine. I asked to speak with a supervisor. More waiting. Tina (#**) told me she will contact the service company about the parts. I told her to please conference me in on the call because I want to hear the outcome (and I dont want to wait another 1+ hour to reach customer service again). She put me on hold and then disconnected me! Really, all this time and 3 service people... Would be cheaper to just replace the machine altogether. What a headache!

I have had no issues with my washing machine. Love the different settings. Washes clothes well. Dryer has minor issues like the drying dial stopped moving so I need to manually turn it off. It’s more of an inconvenience, but for the price it should work.

I purchased a home in March of 2013. When I bought the home, I noticed it had a new Whirlpool 50-gallon gas 6th sense hot water heater model number ND50T122-403. It was newer and I thought it was a good selling point and would last many years. The original owner had purchased the heater in March of 2011. Three months after I moved in, the control valve went bad - 4 flash eco lockout. I called Whirlpool. They sent out the replacement part. I had to pay for shipping express delivery. Since then the control valve has gone out 2 more times, a total of 3 times in one year. On the third time, they gave me a return number for a replacement. I dont even want this heater for free. I am still required to pay for installation and additional installation parts. This product is terrible. Save yourself a headache. Do not buy this product!

Model gmh61xvb1 was purchased about 2011 and has had to be fixed 5 times. Now, its down again. My GE microwave lasted 23 years. I thought Whirlpool was supposed to be the best. Boy was I wrong. This has been a real headache. I ordered an LG yesterday. I was in the market for a refrigerator but it will not be a Whirlpool. What has happened to your quality control?

UL code displayed for six months. Will not spin. Makes a squeaking noise. Recently noticed a black greasy residue around the machine. The bottom of the machine is covered with it. Have had the Cabrio for 5 years. Seems like a bearings issue. Expensive machine. Whirlpool said there are no reported issues with my model even though there are thousands of people on several websites who are having the same issues. Apparently, Whirlpool is in denial and not willing to save face with consumers and correct a horrible washing machine. Definitely will never purchase another Whirlpool appliance.

Installed in May 2007, paid $674 for GU2455XTSS1 Whirlpool Dishwasher. It required service in March 2009 for $158 It became noisy in Oct 2011, so I placed a service call for $136. It was very noisy in Jan 2012. Again, I placed service call for an additional $93 that Whirlpool has not reimbursed. I must now replace the motor quoted at $403. The motor has a 90-day warranty. The 4.5 year old dishwasher must now be replaced. Whirlpool has not responded to email and to registered letter requesting a cost-effective solution to repair dishwasher that recognizes that reasonable life of the unit should be 10+ years and not 4.5 years.

Purchased this 27 cubic ft French door bottom freezer fridge (WRF757SDEM01) in Sep 2016. Approximately 8 months after, fridge stopped cooling. Called Whirlpool for service diagnosis since fridge was still under warranty. Service tech stated coils were freezing over due to part malfunction and part needed to be replaced and ordered. He provided me with a temporary fix by defrosting all the ice from the coils since the part would take approximately two weeks to come in. I spent an entire day of annual leave from my place of employment for this service call!!! New part was replaced and fridge was cooling like it was supposed to.Here again six months after the part replacement, my fridge was doing the same thing again; NOT COOLING my food AND there was this awful noise coming from the area in which the part was replaced. That drove me CRAZY to the point I would turn it off in short increments to maintain my sanity. I called whirlpool AGAIN, and this time, my fridge is NOW out of warranty, BUT, the replacement part of five months prior should still be in warranty. My fridge failed the day after Thanksgiving and five days after the fact, the service tech will be at my house again.Worst part of this is I took an entire day off work expecting the service tech to come between 8-12 as told to me by the whirlpool customer service rep and guess what? The company called at 1000 and said they only do appointments in my area in the evenings. I was furious; again another day of employment missed at the hands of Whirlpool. I am not confident that the same part that was replaced in May is defective and I may be going through spouts of an inoperable fridge again and again. Whirlpool really needs to take a hard look at recalling these fridges OR providing quality appliances for the money that we pay. I had GE appliances in my old house and NEVER had issues with the refrigerator. My new builder choose whirlpool and made the wrong choice! I just want a refrigerator that will work operate for the $2100.00 that I paid. I will NEVER recommend whirlpool appliances to anyone... Never!!!

You have to take into account that this microwave doesn’t heat up as others I’ve had so even if the instructions call for something to be cooked for 5 minutes, you have to add at least 2 minutes more. If not it would be undercooked.

We use a Whirlpool Washing Machine and it is one that came with this apartment provided to us by our employers. My parents had a Whirlpool Washing Machine too and they have had no problems since I have known them to use a Whirlpool. The Whirlpool that we are using has been very reliable in the past 3 years we have been using it. No issues whatsoever! The clothes do come out clean, so it does it's job! It is a top loading washing machine as opposed to the newer front loading ones. I have not used a front loading washing machine, so I do not know how it compares to them. The settings on our Whirlpool are basic and very easy to use. (If you know what you are doing, of course). LOL! Reliable is the word for Whirlpool!!

Buyers beware! I have had the Cabrio top loader washing machine for less than 18 months and it is already giving me problems. During the wash cycle, it sounds as though the gears are grinding to the point it wakes my family up two floors up! The spin cycle is a joke. The washer sounds as though it is going to spin off into another room! When I called Whirlpool, they told me to shut the circuit breaker. That might reset the computer. No go which I figured as much. I have had washers that lasted 10 plus years with no problems. It is not worth your time or your money. Never again, Whirlpool!

A 12 year old built in double convection oven that has a retail cost of $4500.00 has its control pad discontinued. I cannot repair my investment. I spoke to the executive offices & they arrogantly told me that they only have to make parts for the length of the warranty. We bought our new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer & Dryer combo from Lowes on the north side of San Antonio, TX, for delivery when our new home was completed in Blanco, TX. Delivery & setup went smoothly. But it wasnt long before we both noticed something wrong with the washer. What was supposed to be one of the quietest washers on the market was far from it! -- loud grinding & thumping noises when the spin cycle would kick in. Whirlpool service dept was called and a repair tech was dispatched - 4 TIMES! The tech from Appliance Science spends most of his time on his phone talking to tech support, and has pretty much changed out parts at will! The motherboard, the pump, the clutch, the splutch have all been changed, to no use!We still experience problems with the washer NOT spinning, or only spinning for a short time, and the clothes still soaking wet! Its a good thing the dryer works well, because the washer is a dud, and we cant do a damn thing about it! Weve been told by Whirlpool service that since we have a repair warranty, we cannot get a replacement washer because we dont have a replacement warranty. Ive never heard something so ridiculous! Color us highly dissatisfied in TX!

We purchased a new Whirlpool Refrigerator less than 3 years ago. The last couple of weeks the freezer hasnt been keeping cold enough. We lost about $300 worth of food in it. The refrigerator section isnt keeping as cold as it should. I call Whirlpool, but didnt have a warranty, so if I paid more money we could have a warranty and get it fixed. Who has that kind of money. When we purchased our appliances we thought we were buying good quality appliances. That sure isnt the case. They should last way longer than less than 3 years.I called where we purchased it from. Had the service man come out. There are four major parts that are wrong with it. $800 plus at least 3 hours of labor. Not worth that. Again who can afford such money as this. I called Whirlpool again. They could give me money off a new fridge but it would still cost almost $1600. Im so unhappy with the appliances. We also have a stove and that doesnt work right either. I believe that we should be compensated way more than they are offering. I would not buy another Whirlpool again. I will make sure people know that it isnt good quality. Im so sad. Purchased a new Whirlpool washer and it has the sensor-- like I am too stupid to decide on the level of water to match my load-- not sure why I got an agitator because I am the only thing it agitates. The clothes just sit there in its own filth and then go in the dryer. Actually put a stained item in the wash to remove the stain and instead it just spread to other clothing and has stained and possibly damaged them. Washing the same clothes 3 times is not saving energy, water and time for me.

Bought a Whirlpool French door refrigerator in March 2014 and have had to have it serviced 4 times now - all for the same issue. We get frost in the refrigerator (not the freezer, the refrigerator). The same parts keep being replaced but they are all defective. This last time the service tech said he contacted Whirlpool and they had a redesigned part that should take care of it. Within 3 days of the new part being installed the frost is back. The other issue is the loud noise of the compressor. We have had multiple Whirlpool products through the years, but this is the last.

I purchased a new park model house with Whirlpool appliances. The fridge door is crooked in 2 directions. It is only adjustable in 1 directions. Top to bottom. After 5 months of trying to deal with whirlpool and being told my warranty is void because of adjusting the door according to their manual. They also tell me that warranty will not cover factory flaws which the crooked door obviously is. Whirlpool will never darken my door again except on the way out. Whirlpool sucks!

Im 70 years old and always bought Whirlpool washing machines. My last one I bought at Lowes and it is the most Ive ever paid for a washer and its the worst Ive ever owned! Dont waste your money! Hard to get clothes balanced and it slams and bams like the old 1970 washing machines! Horrible!!!

My 4-year old water heater has upper/lower sensor issues for the fourth time this year. The rep was supposed to send replacement parts to arrive today (day four with no hot water), but the wrong ones were shipped. A different rep called and offered to exchange the unit for a new one. The expense to me will be $350-$450 for the plumber to uninstall my unit, take it to Lowes and bring the new one back to install. The plumber suggested I take my $450 and just buy a new non-Whirlpool unit. He knew immediately that I had a Whirlpool hot water heater because its the most common repaired vendor. Whirlpool should be covering this expense for re-installation of their inferior product. Poor customer service. Day 4 with no hot water during the holidays with no solution in sight short of me purchasing a new hot water heater. Whirlpool finally got the right parts to me and I paid a plumber $190 to install. One week to the day later, my pilot light will not stay lit. No change in ventilation since it has been installed. I will say I have been dealing with their rep Chris on the phone who is extremely nice and I feel sorry for him. But we all have the exact same issue which is not being resolved.

You cannot control anything on this machine. You cannot pre-fill to dilute detergent- you cannot choose temp because what you choose is changed by the machine (manual). You cannot choose your own combinations of temp, water volume, and timing. Once the ** thing starts you cant change anything, like the setting you wish to use. Do NOT BELIEVE THIS IS ENERGY EFFICIENT. There is a REASON that this machine has a 2nd rinse. It is because so little water is used that it does not allow soap, lint or dirt to have anywhere to go but back into your clothes. YOU have to trick it out to get enough water to actually get some loads truly wet. EVER! You stand there like an idiot opening and closing the lid just to get enough water to dilute the detergent. You cant pre fill and then add your detergent because, it needs to sense your clothes load. Wont fill with the lid open. You cant rinse the detergent cup out. You only get to do what Whirlpool already knows about your needs. Oh & lets not forget the spin cycle. When you open the lid, large items like sheets will look like a pancake made from one of the sheets. However underneath will be a tangle of the rest of your wash worthy of a Gordian knot. You can yank your shoulders out trying to dislodge the clothes. Spin yes, I guess it did, I just didnt need permanent press wrinkles. And thats if you CAN actually open the lid. For some idiopathic reason the lid may be on lock. Good luck with that. Most often, youll find no reason that you can discern like an unbalanced load or as the booklet suggests, you havent figured out how to load a machine. I hate the design of this so much that I called the company and they said that they would send a repair man out to see if its working. Whats he going to do? Run a couple of washes and say hey thats how they design these things? They will not replace it. They do not stand behind their products. You are stuck with bad design period.Describe Yourself: Frequent User. Service/Delivery: It came with a big dent in the dryer we bought with it. Installer dudes crossed the hot with the cold. Whirlpool will not stand behind the products they make & they make lots of the brand names. So they figure they can just do exactly what they want and youre screwed because even under warranty, theyll only fix the mess of engineering they designed in the first place. We purchased our Whirlpool Gold series, french door refrigerator 22 months ago. The freezer and ice maker has stopped working. We had one repairman come out already and he couldnt fix it. We have another one coming in 2 days. I am very disappointed with the Whirlpool brand. I also bought a microwave, 2 wall ovens, and a dishwasher at the same time. The microwave makes a clicking noise every time you use it.

I dont know how anybody could write a good review on this machine. It always requires deep water wash and sometimes two cycles to get clothes clean. On regular cycle, it doesnt get water on all clothes. Oh yes, it does save water... Ive pulled things out with dry areas on them.

Whirlpool Gold refrigerator WRF989SDAH00. I purchased this French door refrigerator based on past experiences with Whirlpool and sad to say this is not the same quality product I have know Whirlpool for. After the warranty ran out, it died. The first service company I called identified the problem as a known (to Whirlpool) design flaw. They would not touch it and referred me to contact Whirlpool. I did and the company referred me to Dinos Appliance Factory Service (in Phoenix AZ). They came out and confirmed it was a design flaw. They replaced the evaporator and compressor and it lasted about 6 weeks.

I purchased a Household refrigerator Model WRF535SMBM00 on November 2013 at Home Depot which was not used but until June 2014. Awaiting finishing details on new house closing. The first year in use, I started having problems with freezer frosting, light not working, seemed like the ice produced in it, burned the light bulb. Prior to that sometimes it worked, sometimes it didnt. I started to think that it had burned, changed the light bulb. It didnt worked. After 2 months, all of a sudden the light worked, but the ice maker stopped working. What would be the suggestion to fix it, may I asked. This is very disappointing. You have a new house, and new appliances and they just dont work. And we are expected to pay for the repair! I dont think so.

The fridge had been leaking just a little for a while until the leak picked up and left a puddle. Turns out this plastic tube connector cracked. Seems a very poorly designed fit that caused the bend in the plastic to rupture. Now the whole tube and what I think is the water inlet valve will need to be replaced.

The plastic frames for the glass shelves are cracking at the corners and the only option Whirlpool has given me is to replace the shelves at about $150 each. Needless to say, the cracks started just after the 1-year warranty expired. If only one shelf was cracking, it could be my fault; but since all are cracking (some on the front, some on the back and some in multiple places), I believe this is a design flaw and should be covered by the manufacturer. When I call, I can only get through to someone to schedule maintenance or order parts. What can I do?

Problematic... constantly out of balance... and will Not spin out due to this.. Sensors are very sensitive... have to unload and reload.. Most times have to wring out by hand.. Definitely a defect of these machines.

After 25 years my Maytag died. It was a Sunday so we just decided to go to Lowes & purchase a new one. They could not find my 1st choice so I bought the Cabrio. It is the worst washer I could have purchased. It determines the amount of water you need. Our clothes never seem to be clean & its very noisy. It has no agitator & is supposed to save water. Even putting it on the longest cycle our clothes do not appear to be clean.

Whirlpool WFE720H0AS0 - I tried to use the self cleaning oven feature and it cleaned the bottom of the stove but did nothing for the sides, back and door of stove. The top of the stove is impossible to keep clean. Maintaining this appliance is a full-time job. Very bad choice.

This is about my Whirlpool Cabrio top load washer machine (model number WTW6200SWD, serial # CT3670597). I bought this machine in 2007, and soon after, I was having problems with the F1 code. After several trips back and forth to reset the code, so I can get the laundry done, and many frustrations, it was time to call Whirlpool to resolve the problem. I find out that there was a recall for this ongoing issue. They sent a technician to replace the mother board, and everything was fine for some time. Soon after, the machine was giving us more problems with the F1 code, and the UL code. It doesnt matter which way I try to balance the load. This piece of junk will not work. Whirlpool needs to stand behind this issue, and recall this washing machine for good. Every customer should be entitled to a full refund, and a compensation for the many hours of electricity, aggravation, and frustration, wasted trying to get this junk to work.

When you shell out the money for a new water heater you expect it to work the first time. Mine did not. Luke warm water was all that we could achieve. After going through the troubleshooting steps we could not clearly define the problem. So they ordered me the parts and sent them to me. The parts were for the old model control unit and does not mate up with the wiring that is in the unit. The representative was put back in that they had no idea how that happened. And, no wrench came with the thermostat just another thing to spend money on. I told them I have had it. Then they say that this is a manufacturers defect and they can provide me with a list of repair technicians in the area. I gave them one star because I could not give them zero. They should have lead off with the service technician. Still not repaired. I will keep you updated.

I purchased a Whirlpool water heater on 9/30/2011. It is leaking at the point of cold water entry and is spewing a brown colored watery substance, leaking on the floor.

Whirlpool Cabrio - good consumer rating. Ive had it for 2 years. It does not clean well and the clothes does not smell clean even though I often clean the washer and leave the top open when Im not using it. Ive also had it service 3 times because the rotator keeps going off and makes a lot of noise. I bought an LG dishwasher for $1300 and it lasted 7 months and completely broke down less than a year and had to be replaced. After I bought a $400 Whirlpool. It does the same job and Ive had it for 2 years without any repairs.

I liked Whirlpool brand. I was excited about the convection option and the warming burner. Plus it was on sale. I really like the AquaLift self-cleaning option but guess what? It does not work well. It is very frustrating!!! I would not recommend buying a Whirlpool oven/range. Low quality construction, features that work poorly, and poor online reviews. Another deal breaker would be poor customer service and repair service. Over, the Whirlpool oven/range is fair. The electric glass top does a good job cooking but keeping the glass top clean is nearly impossible. The oven does a good job baking BUT, the AquaLift self-cleaning does not work. I would recommend that consumers pass on the Whirlpool.

Just like many other reviews about this brand - our microwave went bad after only 14 months of using it. Initially the door sensor would register - it wont operate even if the door is closed. Or it will keep going even if the door is open. I contacted BBB and the Whirlpool corporation regarding this safety issue. I pointed out that the safety mechanism is faulty and they should recall all of those models that have similar issue with door sensor. This is extremely dangerous for households with kids. There is a reason why this safety mechanism is mandatory in all microwaves! Whirlpool pointed out to me that I should not try to operate microwave with open door and refused to take any responsibility. Ive owned probably 10 different microwaves over the years and NEVER had micro go bad after only one year, yet alone have completely faulty safety mechanism. Consumer beware!

My Whirlpool Gold Star aqualift oven stopped working right at three years, when the warranty ended. I paid the $650 for repairs to the stovetop, hoping this was a one-time situation. Six months later, my oven has quit. This product is not a good investment. Im very disappointed.

Whirpool Product VMW TL WASHER with impeller absolutely is crap. I have it almost a year and it smells, and it noisy like a dog was in the machine and someone started it. Its off balance constantly. I hate it and will place on every blog the worst review I can write. Its a nightmare. It has a fake bleach dispenser a door but no holder underneath. Even the repairman thought the bleach went in the dispenser. My clothes were ruined along with sheets, etc on numerous washes. The bleach partially dispensed on dark clothes at least 8 washes.The washer was purchased at BrandsMart 11 months ago and so theres no returns.

Whirlpool stove and dishwasher very good quality. I find that the quality is beyond excellent for the amount of money. I would highly recommend Whirlpool. Easy to clean, heats up fast, looks beautiful. I would never change Whirlpool for anything else.

Bought it less than 2 months ago. It doesnt wash. It doesnt spend. It works every 2-3 hours if Im lucky. Its the worst product ever. Its not like it was refurbished. It was brand new. Smh. I thought it would save me money by buying a washer. Off to the laundromat I go. I do not recommend this product especially to someone who has a family and on a budget.

I called the dealers repair department, which said they had not seen this before and it looks defective. I have used the oven less than a dozen times. It is virtually new. They submitted pictures to Whirlpool. The oven surround is not replaceable, so the request is to get a new oven. Whirlpool responded with, This is normal... when the cracks break through, then there is a problem. What?! I have been cooking for over 50 years and have never had this experience before. This product is under warranty. By the time it cracks through, it will be too late to do anything about it. Since when is crazing on the oven bottom natural, especially after only a very few times used? This is defective and Whirlpool is shirking their warranty. I am very dissatisfied.

I love my Whirlpool front loader washer. It is replacing the Maytag Neptune I had for a few years. This Whirlpool has outlasted that Neptune so far by 3 years! So far no issues. I only wish I had purchased the matching dryer at the time.

12 months and 2 weeks, my ice maker quit working. I called Lowes where I purchased this top of the line junk. The first thing they asked was do I purchase the extended warranty. I said no. He advised to call a repairman he recommended, but I would have to pay for the repairs. Whirlpool was just as bad; no warranty, you pay. It appears they are both relying on warranties rather than selling dependable products or customer satisfaction. A couple months later, ice forming on the bottom of the freezer, and puddles every couple of days in front of the refrigerator. I pulled the two draws out and removed the ice. Within a week, it was back. A $2400 refrigerator should last longer then a 1 1/2 years without falling apart. My Whirlpool dishwashers only lasted 1 1/2 years also.

Have had this Whirlpool for 17 years at least. Only issue we’ve had with it was the ice maker that went out after about 14 years. There is plenty of space in the door. A place that holds cans, 2 shelves that go across the door, a small shelf and a butter shelf with a lid over it. Nice looking too.

I purchased a brand new Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set not even 2 years prior. When I first started using it, I pulled shirts out of the wash after being ran through and found deodorant marks still on the inside of the shirts. I had to wash all of my loads on heavy soil and still had to run some loads through more than once. The wash machine quit working about 1 month ago, so I had a service man out to look at it. It ended up being the control panel and the part itself was going to cost me $300 and by the time I paid to have it repaired, the total cost was just under $400. The service man proceeded to tell me that Whirlpool had another company actually make the control panels for the Cabrio model and he has serviced several of these washers and when he would repair one part, another part would stop working. I was very upset and bought a new wash machine. I would like to add, I am a single mom with a 2 1/2 year old, so the wash machine was not used excessively in any way. I dont work outside so my clothes are never soiled heavily. Needless to say, my washer was not under warranty so Whirlpool couldnt do anything for me. A wash machine should last longer than less than 2 years. I would not recommend this model to anyone. And for Whirlpool to put their name on such a poor product is very disappointing since I have had good experiences with their products in the past.

Owner of 20 apartments, 16 of them have electric water heaters and 4 have natural gas units. Have replaced over the years all 20 water heaters. 19 of them were replaced with Whirlpool units bought at our local Lowes. It is my opinion that they are very unreliable. The tanks rust out in NO time. The electric units last just a little better than the gas units but still terrible. Of the 4 gas units so far I have had to replace 3 of them and the longest one lasted 6 years and 7 months!! One of them was just over 6 years and the other was 9 days away from warranty expiring. They replaced that one. If you have no other choice make sure to buy extended warranty if available. They just dont last!!

I am experiencing problems with keeping my pilot lit too. I checked the screen and this is not the issue. I have just returned from Lowes where I purchased the water heater and they informed me Whirlpool supplied kits for this issue and it was widespread. They mentioned a class action and went on to tell me they and all surrounding Lowes stores are out of the free kit and arent expecting anymore. Am I to feel lucky my water heater water didnt fail sooner only to feel unlucky all of the free repair kits are now gone? Lowes provided me with the Whirlpool phone number for help and they have just informed me it will cost me $35.44 plus shipping. I now see how widespread this problem is. This isnt right. I am very disappointed in the handling of this known problem! What is my next course of action?

Model # WMH 1163XVQ-1 manufactured 2010 however I purchased and installed it in July 2011. Noticed a small crack at the base of the handle about a year later. Within the past couple of weeks cracks are appearing everywhere including around the handle, the entire exterior frame as well as interior frame of the door. Neither my wife nor I slam the door or mishandle it to cause this damage. Called Whirlpool this week. Bottom line is that it would cost nearly as much to get a new door as to buy another microwave. This is an over the stove model. My previous microwave was GE and lasted over 15 years. Wont buy Whirlpool again.

This refrigerator stopped working withing 2 weeks of delivery. Lost a great amount of food. It was a real hassle to get the warranty company out. Took several days. Now there are places on each shelf in the refrigerator where food freezes and I have to throw it out. I am not real happy with this.

I purchased this stove in September and I am very unhappy with the Aqualift. The service department said I would have to probably do the cleaning process about 7-8 times for it to really work. I find that very unacceptable would never recommend this to anyone.

We bought the Whirlpool NU50T122-403 50 Gal water heater from Lowe’s and very disappointed that after 3 years it will cost more to repair it than replace it. The Whirlpool gas water heater and our Whirlpool refrigerator have been the worst purchases ever made. Whirlpool has been unreliable in our house and the repairs and downtime have been extraordinary. We have replaced with a Rheem from Home Depot.

I dont know who is the bigger idiot. The designer of this washer or me for not reading the countless bad reviews. I bought a Whirlpool 4.3 CU FT TL WTW5000DW machine on 7/19/2015. It does not come close to cleaning clothes. It now takes me three times longer to do laundry because I have to check every piece of clothing for any stains. These are minor stains mind you but, they will not come out unless I use something like Spray and Wash. My time is valuable, maybe I should drag my clothes to the river and beat them on a rock. Very disappointed.

I purchased a gold series whirlpool dishwasher on July 20th 2014. Today is Dec 31, 2015, for the past month I have been troubleshooting my dishwasher by myself. Because I had a maintenance man here already since I bought the dishwasher and due to Christmas cannot afford another 250 for another visit. Every time I try to wash, at end of any cycle I have tried using, I open the door and find the cascade soap sitting on the bottom of the tub, the dishes still wet and dirty. So I take them all out and hand wash them, I should not have to do this on a washer that is a little over one year old considering the price tag that I paid for it. I am not young anymore and if I wanted to hand wash dishes, I could have used that money for a nice vacation somewhere.The washer stops, start button blinking, I open it up, check it out to make sure everything looks ok, close it and restart again. It sounds like it is working, so I go about my business and come back an hour later to find the same issue. Dishes will not wash soap on the bottom of the tub again. This has been nothing but trouble since I purchased it. I have never had a problem with my old dishwasher until it got too old. On top of it all, I had to buy another clothes washer from the same manufacturer that now took over. This was only 5 years old and the motor burnt out. I had two maintenance men here from the Maytag/whirlpool company and they filled me in. So I had it hauled out of here and I bought an LG for another good price. It seems to me that it is all about money and they make nothing but crap. Now. I need to make another decision. About this POS dishwasher! What to do?

We purchased a Whirlpool gas range on 12/3/11. It was to be delivered later that month and days before delivery we received a call the stove was damaged. They asked if we wanted it and could get it at a reduced price. We said no, we wanted a new one and that one was delivered on 1/4/12. This stove has had many service calls to fix the ignite for the oven. The ignite and a circuit board for this problem has been replaced many times. The smell of gas in the house is terrible from the many times you try to light the oven. This problem has happened many times when a family event was going to be done (Thanksgiving, making Christmas cookies). It is also very poor advertisement for the company and stove to have this happen when there are so many people around. They will have a tendency to spread the word by mouth. PS: When we called (12-13-13), the woman stated after 4 calls for the same thing there should be a replacement or a refund of money (All the calls have been for the same thing OVEN IGNITE and GAS SMELL).

Updated on 12/28/2020: I purchased a 28 cu. ft. side by side Whirlpool refrigerator less than 3 years ago (Feb. 18). The icemaker dispenser paddle quit working nearly a year ago and there are no replacement parts supported. Today the ice maker quit making ice. This is crap for a major appliance that youd expect to go twenty years or so. Very dissatisfied. Dont waste your money on this stuff.Original Review: I purchased a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator about 2-1/2 years ago, paid $1,800+ for it. Now two months ago the ice maker dispenser through the door quit working. I replaced the auger motor and that didnt help. Now the parts department says the actuator panels are no longer available. This is planned obsolescence to the Nth degree. No support for a major appliance less than 3 years old. Whirlpool SUCKS!!!

Our slide in range had a burned out element. After waiting a week for the part the range still did not heat. The real problem was the control panel at a cost of $300 plus labor. We were so discussed with the problem we purchased a different brand range. Who should be purchasing a new range after 18 months???? Cost of service call twice, part cost of element, and new range all total another $600.00. Do not purchase this product!!!

I was very excited about the performance of the washer as far as reduced water usage and reduced electric usage. After about 6 months though, I couldnt figure out why a lot of clothes, sheets and drapes came out with streaks on them. Very expensive to replace! Of course, the business I bought them from tried to get me to buy all types of fixes that had nothing to do with the problem and therefore couldnt answer me why this was happening. I am not crazy about a lengthy lawsuit. I am crazy about hoping the washer dies so I can go back to a less fancy washer that did the job better than this expensive monster!

I took the Sears salesmans suggestion and bought a high-end quiet dishwasher. It worked wonderfully until it sprung a major leak. Computer told me the phone # to call. It took a week for the Sears repairman to come out and $79 fee to just look at it. He said the fitting between the sump and the pump came off and flooded water over the electric motor. Electric motor is shot! Cost to repair is over $400 and a 3-week wait!!! When and if a new motor is installed, only then do we know if the computer is also fried. This was a high-end dishwasher. Factory warranty just ran out. Repairman said this is a common problem with this model. DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL.

I regret buying this washer. No complaint about the dryer but this washer has been the worst investment I have ever made. My clothes gets tangled up - seems like theyre not as clean as with my old washer which by the way I still have. I wanted a bigger set because I hated spending days off doing laundry but I spend as much time rewashing again and getting clothes untangled.
