LG Washer has mold and mildew inside the washer and does not come out. The machine is defective and I would like to return it for a full refund. The store should return it to the manufacturer. We all know the results of mold and mildew. Its permanently in our clothing and it has caused allergies.

On the 27th of this month, I complained to the call center about the drainage problem with the machine and a man came within 48 hours as promised. He did some adjustment and the machine started working. I took AMC on his advice, and the next day I loaded the machine and the problem was there again after half the cycle. Again I had to call the call center on the 29th after 24 hours - the same man came, did the same adjustment and assured me this time he checked it and it wont happen again. But on the next load, the problem was there again. On May 1 I called them again, they gave me the number of the service center but I could not get through. Again, the call center registered my complaint the third time. This time it was an urgent call. They said within 24 hours, someone senior will come but now its more than 30 hours and nobody came. The call center people gave me the no of the area manager and he promised me it will be done today. I am still hopeful, still waiting.

We have had this refrigerator for two years. The ice dispenser leaks water after every use. Our family uses a lot of ice, especially in the summer! Despite our best efforts to keep the area dry, moisture got up under the control panel. So far it has not affected the function, but I am scared it will eventually. We contacted LG about this and were told that it is merely a cosmetic problem that is not caused by the refrigerator itself and that cosmetic problems are not covered under warranty. We will never buy another LG product. We should have purchased the Samsung we were looking at!

We have a 3 1/2 year old LG refrigerator (French door, door in door) that we had installed in our new house. While I love the features, the repairs have been a nightmare. We are currently on our 4th compressor. Each time we have been 1-3 weeks without a refrigerator. We ended up having to buy a little one to get us through. With the installation of the last compressor, our warrantly was extended. The current compressor is supposed to be one of the “new improved” ones. After about 6 months, we lost cooling in the refrigerator and freezer. Part of our meat defrosted (we took pictures). The ice melted in the ice machine. There was no sound coming from the compressor for about a day. Then it started working again. 2 1/2 days later, we had ice. We called repair and it was going to take a week for “their” repairman to even make the first visit. This company had terrible reviews and no way to contact them. We asked to be changed to another certified repair company. We waited 5 days for them. When they inspected the refrigerator, since it had started working again, they could not find anything wrong with it other than high pressure in a line and told us we had to pay the bill. So now we are still on compressor 4 (5 would kick in the lemon law), it stops working when it pleases, fails to consistently keep our refrigerator/freezer compartment at the selected temperature (can be off by 10 degrees), and because the problem is intermittent, we have to pay for the repairman to come if it starts working again before they get there. Love the LG features but will never have another LG refrigerator.

I purchased a LG washer and dryer from Sears 09/2010. My washer has started rusting. I have contacted Sears, LG and Better Business. I can not get anyone to take care of this or stand behind the product as promised when it was purchased. This is a manufacturing problem not any fault of mine. I would advise anyone do not purchase a LG washer, and do not purchase any appliances from Sears. Read all the bad ratings of Sears and LG. Don t make the mistake I DID.

I purchased a washer dryer from discount Warehouse. They were both LG products. Part of my analysis was based on a promised $250.00 rebate. I was told it would come in three to four weeks. It is now over three months and no rebate. To get through to them on the phone is impossible. My vendor has done nothing about this as well. Needless to say I would not count on getting any rebate back from LG products.

I purchased double stacked LG washer/dryer in January 2010. In February 2012, the washer motor broke and LG placed it. In December 2012, the motor broke again! I called LG and they said I would have to pay for a technician to look at the washer. Ive had this washer for 2 years and the motor broke down two times. I have to pay to get the washer fixed! My previous Westinghouse washer-dryer I had for over 15 years and not one service call, not one problem in all 15 years. Im so mad at LG and Im insisting that they replace the washer. Not sure if you can offer any advice, but I really want to get a lawyer and go after LG. Thanks for your time.

I purchased a LG refrigerator 4 years ago. Besides the fact it takes 2-3 weeks to get an authorized service call (not after a major catastrophe or storm, just in general), its going to take another 2-3 weeks to replace the compressor. The part is covered under LGs 5 year warranty, but the labor is roughly $600-800!! Thats outrageous for a 4 year old refrigerator thats supposed to last 14 years. I will NEVER buy another LG appliance again.

I purchased an LG Washing machine with the pedestal back in April of 2010 for $1,309.95 from P.C. Richards. After 3-years and 4-months, my machine stopped spinning and had a loud squeaking noise. I paid about $400.00 in repairs at that time for a power cord and the computer control panel which completely burnt out. After the P.C. Richards Repair Man left, I washed exactly 2-loads of clothes before the washer stopped spinning and I had to call the Repair man back from P.C. Richards to find out what the problem was. Well after the 4th visit from P.C. Richards Repair Men, I was told that a Ball Barren was missing and it would be a very expensive job to do. With that being said, I went for a second opinion and was told that was indeed the problem which would cost me $500.00 to repair. You know when people purchase expensive appliances like washers and dryers from Manufacturers like LG, they expect the product to last at least 10 to 15 years. I am deeply disgusted and appalled. What can I do to seek punitive damages? I am a working mother of 3 and am at a hardship to make ends meet and cannot afford a new washer right now which I was told by the repairman I should purchase a new machine. In TEARS, can someone help me please?

This has been ongoing since October 2017. We purchased a brand new refrigerator costing us $1500 and it stopped working! LG has sent technicians out to repair the unit however it is not repaired! They have to come out over and over and over again every few months to “repair it”! During this time we are living out of coolers! I I finally got fed up and contacted the corporate office today since my twins have a 103 fever and I’m once again living out of a cooler until they return next week! I spoke to a representative named Milton who was extremely sarcastic and rude! He deemed the unit fixable? Fixable... They have to service it every few months so apparently is defective! He also stated that this was no cost to us! REALLY??? HOW??? It cost to us to continuously miss work over not to mention lose hundreds of dollars worth of groceries! He deemed the refrigerator fixable! They REFUSED to replace it! I’m blown away! BEWARE of the horrible customer service! Wish someone could HELP!!!

Our daughter and son-in-law purchased a LG french door fridge six years ago. Love the french door... but... after about 1-1/2 years... maybe 2... the fridge went out. My husband pulled the panel off the back and found a fuse blown. Cant order just a fuse? What? Had to order a whole new circuit board... $$$. So we took burnt fuse out and went to local hardware and purchased one as close as we could. Installed and waalaa it worked again. Now, it happened again so we showed our daughter and son-in-law how to change the fuse and keep the wires clean... The fridge goes out about once a year but wow does it save them a ton of money being able to fix themselves. And the fridge works just fine! GOOD LUCK!

Model LFX25975SW LG refrigerator - My complaint regarding the subject LG refrigerator is the same as the one posted by Darelyn of Peoria, AZ on Sept. 20, 2012. The housing around the ice and water dispenser turned yellow in about 2 years. This is unacceptable on a white refrigerator in an all-white kitchen. After getting rejected by the LG customer service, I filed a complaint with the BBB (case #**) and after their mediation, it was rejected by LG again for the same reasons that Darelyn received, That they do not warranty cosmetic damage. I wonder if they ran that by their marketing team as this is what sells these models. I am trying to start a class action suit against LG on this obvious defect in material used. Anyone wants to join?

Purchased a new LG refrigerator and glass top LG range from Lowes, Kailua Kona in 09/2016. From day 1 the range was faulty. Burners flickered on and off every 2 seconds regardless of how high unit was set. Store said this was normal. Shortly after, the outside coil to one of the larger burners stopped working. Refrigerator - we were not aware of a slow leak inside the water dispenser until rust appeared at the rim of the dispenser and caused the stainless steel film to come off. In researching online it is known that LG is aware of the refrigerator water dispenser issues. We did have the range repaired while under warranty but because we were not aware of the slow leak in the fridge we will need to cover the $800 cost to replace door and dispenser ourselves. This is unfair given LG is aware they sold an appliance with a defective water/ice dispenser.

Then they cant find a service person in a 14 mile radius and they will call me back in 3 to 5 days. If I were sick and wait 3-5 days I might be dead by. We have had this dishwasher for about 1.5 years and it was never good. Here are some of the most frustrating things that have occurred with this piece of junk.1) The bottom rack never stayed on the track from day 1. That means no one in my family of 6 can put dishes in the bottom unless you lift the bottom rack and carry it out of the dishwasher fully. Its obscene. Because the bottom never ever stayed on the track, our 4 kids have bent the outer metal frame, and now it is a pile of junk.2) The racks around the entire dishwasher never stay up or in place, we are constantly trying to manipulate these glass racks to stay in place, but they dont.3) The silverware holder is a pile of garbage, never stays put, constantly trying to get it to stick in place.4) If you fill the bottom, none of the top dishes get cleaned.5) Every other wash, we get an error message of some sort that leaves the dishwasher unusable for a couple days. With a family of 6, and kids we are trying to teach how to take care of dishes, this dishwasher is a joke. Had I known that we would pay $700+ for a pile of junk, I would have opted for a much cheaper dishwasher, as I have lived in places in my younger years with very cheap dishwashers and have not had half the issue we have had with this. I would be ashamed to market and sell this dishwasher. After not even 2 years, we are now in the market to buy another new dishwasher because this one is basically unusable. If you are considering this dishwasher, please think twice, find a different one for your home. I thought paying $700 for one would mean it should be pretty decent, it is not at all a good dishwasher. If I could rate it below a 1 star, I would.

Worst experience I have had as a consumer - ever. I ordered an LG microwave 1/3/18 through a third-party, AJ Madison. It was delayed weeks (not LGs fault), when I finally received it and plugged it in it had a code of death - F11. It never worked, not even ONE SECOND. That was middle of March. Its now May 3, 2018. I have sent in repeated receipts, responded to their letters, requests for more information, taken pictures, cut up serial numbers, signed declarations that I did in fact buy the microwave. Gotten the third party involved and had them try on my behalf to no avail! They now want me to send them a receipt having bought a second one of these before theyll send me my money back for the January 3, 2018 purchase! Im on hold again with LG, 26 minutes into it and the customer service wants to explain the process to me - youve got to be kidding me. LG, as a very American, cooperative consumer who has purchased 14 appliances in the last year and done lots of shopping - this is the WORST customer service experience I have ever had!

Came recommended by family member to begin with. We liked the fridge size the most. A lot of room for veggies and other daily things we eat. The brand itself received a lot of good marks when my wife research it online before making the purchase. Customer service has been outstanding with this fridge. We made a great choice. Has ice maker with cubes or crushed ice. Everything fresh and cold, space for eggs and produce. Able to hold milk in the door. Doors fit salad dressing and the smaller bottle that need to be refrigerated. Freezer a little small seems like hard to put larger items in the freezer one or maybe 2 larger meat items. Small drawer can hold vegetables and popsicle ice cream bars but its a little small.

In October of 2019 I purchased a full suite of LG appliances, refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer. All purchased from and installed by Best Buy. I really like all the appliances and they all seem to perform well, with the exception of the dishwasher. I have a constant and ongoing problem with it draining. This problem appeared within the first month. Best Buy came out and could not replicate the problem. In January the same problem again. Best Buy replaced the drain pump. That lasted less than one week. By this point Best Buy was no longer off in home service appointments because of the Covid-19 thing.I went to the LG web. Requested a repair. The service responded the next day, came out a determined a new control board was needed. A week later they came out to replace it. That lasted 4 days. I am now once again without a dishwasher. Ive again requested service from LG but have yet to hear back, that was yesterday. Today I called your 800 number and ended up hanging up on your representative because of the poor service offered by her. Its time you replace this dishwasher, as I am tired of having to arrange my schedule to fit in repairs that last less than a week.

After speaking with LG customer service and executive services department, they verified the refrigerator was still under warranty and will send a repair tech to take a look. We are now in late May 2020, over 15 tech visits, 7 repairs and many hours speaking with LG, still not working. I have submitted all necessary documentation for either reimbursement of some kind or a replacement and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. I purchased TWO LG front loader washing machines from Home Depot for my own use. From day one the clothes never came out clean. Because I had bought two I assumed that this issue was with my plumbing and had the plumber back in several times. Each time he assured me that there was no issue with the plumbing. I finally called my extended warranty company to come and take a look at the machines. The technician simply shook his head and said that he understands my frustration as he owns the same machine. There is simply no sufficient water in these high efficiency front loaders to wash laundry! They are marketed as giving a superior wash yet DO NOT WASH THE CLOTHES AT ALL! Try washing a load of laundry in the sink and adding just one jug of water! I am still hopeful that LG will stand behind its product and replace these machines, as I currently have two very nice looking ORNAMENTS in my home.

Resolved. Our LG refrigerator lights are now working correctly and shut off
Resolved. Our LG refrigerator lights are now working correctly and shut off when the door is closed. When I first called LG about the problem, They only recommended repair facilities near me to call at my expense. They did not offer to fix the problem. When I talked to the service repairman to set up a visit, he recommended calling a different number to see if LG would take care of it since this was a common problem with many lawsuits about it before. Before I did that, here is what we did. After we figured out that the lights would not go out when the door was closed, creating the high heat inside. (55 degrees). We unplugged the fridge as one could not unscrew the light bulbs because they were extremely hot. When cool, we re-plugged in the fridge and verified that the lights would not go out when the door was closed. In just those few minutes, the bulbs were almost too hot to unscrew. We unscrewed them just enough so they would not come on. We were screwing them in and out for a couple of weeks in order to see inside, and unscrewing them before closing the door. This was a big pain in the neck. I checked several times before calling LG, that they stayed on after closing the door. With the light bulbs unscrewed, we also verified that the beep still went off when the door was left open for a while. With the light bulbs unscrewed, the fridge was now working great for the cold. Probably better than before. I put a thermostat inside to monitor the temperature and it stayed right where I had it set at on the door. I dont know why, but after a couple of weeks unscrewing and screwing the bulbs in and out, I finally decided to remove them and install new light bulbs to see if they would work. I installed the fluorescent ones, the ones with the curlicue tube, 60-watt daylight ones. They worked great, and they went out when the door was closed. WOW, what luck. The fridge has been working well now for about a week, with much better light than the original bulbs, and they go out when the door is closed. They do not get hot at all. For the other issues in the previous post, I can shut the ice maker off manually when the ice bucket is full, and we do not use the water on the door due to the high cost of the filter anyway. We can live with those issues. At least we will not have to buy a new fridge due to the light bulbs not shutting off when the door is closed. Model LRFD22850ST

We bought a new LG fridge in August 2017... Yesterday Jan.21 2020 (2 1/2 years) the fridge and freezer quit working. I called the LG 1-800 to do a remote Smart Diagnose but none of their agents could get their receiver to work in order to do this. They told me to call the one warranty dealer in my city as I found out today that all the other warranty dealers dropped both LG and Samsung for both warranty and non-warranty works as their products and service are horrible. So the only warranty place said they would not come out and I had to bring in my fridge but they suggested based on what I told them was happening that they would spend $500 plus to maybe still not be able to fix it and to go buy a new one…. LG warranty is on parts only and the guys said its never the parts that are expensive. It is the problem solving time and labor that costs. It turns out they would rather build a product that uses less power for energy savings but the compressors etc fail in short time 2 to 6 years.. Great….

Bought April 2013. Drying fault reported November 2013. Machine blew up/imploded February 2013. After 3 engineer visits that took 2 months to complete the machine was deemed repaired (engineer 1 guessed the fault wrong, engineer 2 guessed the fault right but instead of logging it he marked the job as complete, engineer 3 brought the right part and recommissioned the machine).Soon after during a fast spin cycle the machine exploded. By that I mean that it spun out of control at 1400 RPM, a bracket broke, the motor is broken, the drum is broken and in all I have a ruined appliance - what would have happened if my terrified wife had not been there to hit the power supply off (not to mention what could have happened to her)? The machine did not cut itself out. The 4th engineer found essential fixing screws were not where they should be ... did engineer 3 fail to correctly put the machine back together, or did LG supply a dangerously defective machine?I would be able to answer these questions if LG showed any interest at all in handling my complaints. After being escalated numerous times to supervisors we have never heard from a supervisor. We have never received an apology. We are forced to accept the same sub-contracted repair company to tinker with this appliance. I have told the supplier that I am not accepting anymore repairs and I am demanding a refund. This is spiraling into a court case. This machine cost 600. It is meant to be the best. Instead, it broke down within the first year and the after sales warranty service has been appalling. Their telephone number costs money to ring, it inevitably means a lengthy wait and discussion, the person at their end has no authority other than to follow a script, their supervisors make no attempt to communicate to us, their repair service is awful (4 engineers!!! and after the 3rd the machine exploded!).I rang their head office and the abrupt receptionist repeatedly told me to speak to customer service about my problem and that they do not give out names ... the senior managers are ring fenced in hiding from customers who are thoroughly fed up with their service. I tried publicly shaming them into giving me what they legal have to. Their Facebook team ignored me and their Twitter team gave me the link to their website. Seriously, this is a company that shows no interest in customer service. If they did, then I would not be in this situation.(And for info, the initial fault is a drying fault. The machine vents the steam during the drying cycle via the water waste pipe. Before it gets there it passes through an internal chamber and takes with it all the lint, hair and other debris collected in a drying cycle. However, that muck instead of being discharged settles on the inside of this chamber. It builds up and then blocks the chamber. This then means the machine can NOT remove the steam generated during a drying cycle so the clothes just become so hot that they will burn skin - proof being when my wife burnt herself on the machine. Now, being a simple customer I of course cant state the obvious that this is a fundamental design flaw. I have to PAY for a qualified engineer to inspect the machine and they have to write a report to state this. 1 - I have to PAY! 2 - What independent engineer is going to do that against a mega corporation?)I will never buy LG again and their level of customer service has pushed me to channel my anger into putting an objective and correct review of them on any review site I can find. Not to mention an exponential Facebook network. They just do not care.

Bought a 30 in. W 20.2 cu. ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator in Stainless Steel
Bought a 30 in. W 20.2 cu. ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator in Stainless Steel with Multi-Air Flow and Reversible Door (Model LTCS20020S/00, SER 106MRKU08461) on June 19, Delivered on June 26. It never make any cold. Call LG, sent a service person come on July 1. Said no refrigerant and he had no license to handle it. Called again and again and send another service person come on July 21. It was said that the compressor is out of order plus other issues. Need to order parts which is a back order and will take a long time waiting.Called LG asking for a quicker solution. After a long time talking negotiating with a manager called Frances, Frances said waiting for over 15 days (it was almost a month at that time) was not acceptable and said would allow for reimbursement. She also gave me a number to do text communication with her and promised to respond in 24 hours. She did respond in the first several days but just asked me to wait. Then she never respond.Another lady called Garilee from the Return Authorization Department also texted me in another similar number to follow up. She first told me it was scheduled to have someone come but no one had come. Then she did not respond for a while then came back asking for update. I text her and never get response. I called again today (August 6) asking for talking to Frances. The customer service did not give me any chance but kicked me to the Return Authorization. Then I was kicked between the customer service and the return authorization a couple times. So, what I can do except desperation.I am not blaming Frances or Garilee for not doing what they said would do. It is all because of the attitude of LG to its customers. It reflects that LG cares much more on keeping their working procedures and dollars than taking responsibilities to care its customers. LG rather saves a few dollars than keeping customers away from suffering. Customers suffering from no use of refrigerators for one and half months means nothing to the company. LG does not want to keep the promises of its service representatives. As customers, do you still want to stick to buying its products? I switched. Though most of my appliances and TV are LG now, I wont buy any from LG. Very disappointed.

LG Model WT5101HW - Had to replace the agitator in my 2 year old top loader
LG Model WT5101HW - Had to replace the agitator in my 2 year old top loader washing machine. A few months ago there was a software update to correct unbalanced loads. Now the screw holding the agitator in place came undone. (It is held in place with a substantial LOCK washer). The agitator came loose and the plastic gear which drives it became stripped. The result was that it came completely unattached from the drive gear. The LG service man said he had never seen that happen before. I paid $189.75 for the part and repair. As the service man was leaving, I checked the mail and discovered a recall letter from LG concerning my washing machine due to excessive vibrations. Guess I know how the agitator screw became loose now! Called LG and after 1 hour of waiting and answering questions, they said they will have to get back to me about whether I will be reimbursed for the repair. I will keep you posted on developments!

Im another compressor failure customer getting completely screwed over by LG. They wont fix it. They wont Supply the compressor. Weeks going by. Out several hundred dollars of food and no fridge for 4 weeks. This is incredible. Paid $3,000... LG Imports should be completely blocked from the US. They should not be allowed to sell any appliances in the U.S. Theyre screwing over thousands of customers in the United States and Im sick of this. I also had an LG dishwasher that was defective and end of broke three times within a year to the point that I had to get a refund. I mean you know Im not alone here. There are thousands of people reporting the same issue. Its time that the U.S. government block LG from exporting anything into the United States.

This is the first step on my mission to educate my friends before anyone buys a new dishwasher. Do Not buy LG brand dishwasher. If you do, do yourself a favor and buy the extended warranty, you will need it. I started having an issue right after mine went out of warranty. I paid for one repair, about $150, and that didnt fix the problem. Then I had a different repair person come out, factory authorized mind you, and he replaced some parts. He was here 3 times for another $350 and the problem persisted. I didnt bother to call him back, just thought I could live with the noise that was coming out because the machine was cleaning my dishes just fine. However, last night the same error code that started the whole thing happened again. So today I called to speak to LG Consumer services. I once again got the runaround, with the technician telling me I had to perform something on the machine and see if it worked. I gave him hell and reminded him how much I spent on the high end dishwasher and how much I have spent in repairs already and I think its BS to expect the consumer to do anything to try and fix it. The first time I called, he had me running around looking for screwdrivers so I could level a dishwasher that didnt need leveling! So, I told him I wouldnt do what he wanted me to and I didnt expect to have to pay for yet another service call for this crappy machine. I wanted to speak to his supervisor. When she got on the phone, I went through the whole thing again and of course the parts that were replaced are now not under warranty, so the only thing they could do is suggest I call the repairman again and have him call them to assist in figuring out what the problem. Of course I would need to pay for all of this, since there is no warranty left. I told the supervisor that I dont think that I will. I will go and buy a different dishwasher of another brand before I put more good money after bad. I have already spent more than half in repairs on what I paid for the stupid thing in the first place.

We have a technician coming tomorrow but LG representative was sure to make clear that it could be our fault and therefore the repair may not be covered under warranty. Now I have found that many people have had the same problem. It is apparent that LG is aware of a defect. Honestly! We were planning on buying an LG W/D for our 2nd house but not now! Like others have mentioned, the lint filter on the dryer lifts up on the corner where the clothes land as they tumble. This causes clothes to catch on the corner of the filter and get destroyed. This also allows more lint to get through past the filter, causing lint to buildup inside the dryer and in the ducts leading outside your home. Weve lost countless articles of clothing. We have replaced the lint filter, but it still sticks out and catches clothes.

This is an 18-month-old LG refrigerator and is the second time it has suffered this failure. I have now been without a refrigerator for 9 days - over Christmas no less, and I am now told that it will be at least another week - with no confirmation on that - before I have the parts. I ordered parts from the LG supplier as given on the LG website - MCM electronics. They never shipped the part. Then when I spoke with them again they reluctantly said they would ship with another shipper claiming it was the shippers problem - but USPS, the original shipper says the parts were never available for pickup. One of the two parts did arrive and - my fault - it was not the correct part. I cannot track the second part as they never sent purchase confirmation e-mail and they are closed. Then I ordered the same parts via Sears - the website said they were in stock but Sears now confirms that the parts were indeed not in stock at LG and that it will be at least another week until they arrive, but they cannot confirm this. Parts are also not available at Repair Clinic.com. This appears to be an LG purposeful action to force you through an LG repairperson as the parts are not available from anyone - its an easy fix if I can ever get the parts. I need to file a complaint against LG and on Monday I will follow-up further with the State Attorney Generals Office and the Better Business Bureau. At this point - over my dead body will I call for an LG repairperson and I will never again purchase anything from LG.

After considerable review, we (in hindsight, unfortunately) purchased a Sui
After considerable review, we (in hindsight, unfortunately) purchased a Suite of LG products last year (2019), the FRENCH DOOR LFXC22526S being the refrigerator leg of it. From the day we literally plugged it in, it has been, and continues to be, a disappointment. For a company with a footprint of LG, were appalled at both their lack of engineering and Customer Support. Our issue became noticeable day 1 when the appliance was not cooling properly. The first indicator was the milk, (which was stored on the refrigerator door rack to accommodate a gallon size, was WARM. My wife proceeded to purchase a thermostat to monitor the temperatures within the cavity of the unit. For the limited cubic space it has, the temperatures varied considerably. We proceeded to contact Customer Service, and for a unit right out of the box, we immediately encountered additional challenges. 1- Our first contact was with a Customer Service Representative in the Philippines who spoke Very broken (if any) English. (Follow up calls were just a bad.) For such global company you would expect them to have better matched resources to offer its customers. 2- To have a Technician visit the situation, they would potentially charge a $50 Service Call. (Again, the unit is not even a week old. That policy took some arm wrestling, but it led to being waived.) 3- Fast forward, a Technician did arrive at the house to physically and wirelessly confirm the settings. NO PROBLEM. At this juncture, my wife was getting a bit perturbed and stated a temperature measuring 40 degrees is not only a problem, its a health hazard. The Technicians solution was to recommend we rearrange the contents where items as mustard, pickles, salad dressings, butter.... should only be on the door racks. Items as milk, even though the door has a rack to accommodate a gallon container, should go on a shelf. (Its noteworthy to mention; weve stored milk on the refrigerator door for the last 40 years with no temperature problems!) When we proceeded to challenge that rationale, his final cure all was the straw that broke the camels back... we just havent adapted to it yet. Those remedies are very shallow for a unit that costs ~$2,000 with supposedly state of the art engineering. We cant fathom how a major entity as LG can be so deficient in some basic engineering features compounded further by their shallow offerings for customer satisfaction. We did not proceed with the Extended Warranty they offered primarily due to its cost. Layered on top of that, the manner they addressed the above circumstance further discouraged us as I have strong reason to believe we would likely get the same run with any service calls. That, and reading other reviews, causes me to proceed ahead with fingers crossed on both hands. For their sake, I hope LG reviews these posted complaints as they are legitimate issues they should take some ownership of. I (and others) will have serious second thoughts about purchasing ANY of their products with an LG name plate.

LG model no. WT4870CW dropped off this morning brand new. After delivery, delivery guy set up and did the programmed test run. This checks if water is supplied, if it vibrates excessively or drains. All looked fine until I did a small load of laundry which came out unclean. Then on second try, I noticed tub basin filled up all the way to the top and agitator didnt work properly. I even made comment that it was so quiet...well when agitator is not doing its job, its super quiet. After trying different cycles and settings and after motor started to smell like it was burning rubber, I called home depot. The sales man gave me a lesson in how much detergent to put in, reasons why clothes arent getting clean, and told me to unplug it, wait 3 minutes, then try again. After explaining Im 30 and know how to do laundry, I explained again about water filling up in wash cycle and agitator not working. He said he would call LG and have a new one out to us IN A WEEK. After already waiting a week and half for first new washer, still blows my mind when a sales person does not apologize for the inconvenience or broken machine THEY sold.Im under no impression LG will stop making worthless machines for a ton of money, but listen up all the peeps in customer service, KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY. SAY YOURE SORRY. DONT MAKE EXCUSES OR GET DEFENSIVE. Does the machine not working say something about you? Or is it your ego that needs to blame the customer by default? Some customers are rude but others are just like you trying to do their best to figure out a solution to the small and big obstacles they face. If you cant at least say sorry or be respectful...think about finding another job that fits you better. LG fail and Home Depot fail. Pretty disappointed.

I bought an “LG Microwave Smart Inverter Magnetron” at Lowe’s, the higher priced larger microwave. After a few short months it completely stopped working while I was using it to heat up food. Only use is frozen meals, or heat food / drink about once a day. The longest period of use is 8 minutes. I contacted LG and they asked for a receipt before they would refund. I sent the receipt via email as they requested. After 6 weeks, they called and said I would need to go buy another LG and THEN they would reimburse me after I sent them a proof of purchase. I purchased a beautiful French door refrigerator (Model LFXC24796S) from the Home Depot in November 2017, by September 2018, the compressor has already gone out on this fridge. I purchased the extended warranty through Home Depot and the soonest they could send someone out was three days later to look at it. I was told parts had to be ordered because the compressor went out and it would take 3-5 business days. It has now been day 5 and I have received no contact from the service people and Home Depot and LG are giving me the runaround. Meanwhile we are at home living out of coolers for 11 days now with a beautiful looking $2,700 piece of crap. Threw away over $300 worth of food. I am so disappointed at LG and Home Depot for not doing something to make it right. I am about to drive this fridge to Home Depot and demand my money back. DO NOT EVER BUY AN LG fridge! Even the service technician who came out told me that all of these type fridges break very easily. I sure wish I came here before purchasing my LG LFXS29626 refrigerator... I dont have much faith. One thing I will say... CALL LG. They covered the labor and the part, despite being past the 2 years. I purchased a $3000 LG fridge in April 2013 (less than 8 months ago). About a month ago, it started making a loud noise. I contacted Home Depot (where fridge was purchased) and they scheduled a tech to come look at it. He fixed it by defrosting a fan and setting the temp on my fridge higher. He warned to not have the fridge set too cold or the fan would keep freezing. Great, warm food. Less than a week later it broke down completely. We are now more than two weeks without a fridge. I have called every single day to try to get a tech out here and LG not only refuses to send someone out but cancels the techs scheduled by Home Depot. They have no time frame as to when they will allow someone to come out or when the fridge will be repaired. My five month old son has digestive issues and is on a special formula that has to be refrigerated. When I called LG to schedule repairs Bonnie from public relations told me I could ask my neighbor to store my son’s formula for me. Because I paid $3000 to use my neighbor’s fridge not to use my own fridge. The level of heartlessness LG and all their customer service reps show is beyond shameful and frankly Im shocked theyre still in business. Life is not good when Ive been storing my son’s formula in an ice chest for two weeks, feeding my other kids fast food every meal because we cant store any cold or frozen food at home, and LG has the attitude of we already have your money so now you can go F yourself. I will never ever buy an LG product again. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. No response yet from LG. Let me pretend to be surprised. At this point the fridge now stinks, is completely useless, and LG has no plans to repair or replace my fridge. Its under warranty and I had purchased the extra protection plan. Its completely unacceptable to allow a family to go without any fridge at all for two weeks and counting. Its unacceptable to know a special needs child could go hungry without his formula and NOT even send a tech out to look at it. Looks like I spent $3000 on a useless piece of crap.

We remodeled our house a little over two years ago, and my wife bought new LG appliances for the kitchen including a dishwasher, electric cook top range, microwave and refrigerator. I bought an LG gas range model LRG30355ST at Home Depot sometime in 2009, and all the five knobs are all cracked and can no longer be adjusted to low or high. The cost of these knobs are exorbitant and almost costs around 1/3 of the total cost of the gas range. These companies should not be allowed to manufacture substandard parts for their products at the expense of the consumers. Whether they do this on purpose to generate additional revenues, we dont know. But something should be done and shift the responsibility back to companies like LG and make them pay or correct them at no cost to the consumers. Like others, I will no longer buy LG products and will spread the word that LG products are not quality products.

I think that LG refrigerators are the Bomb! I have had my refrigerator for 10 years without any problems. I have plenty of room to store fresh veggies and deli meats. Plus I have two drawers for freezer items. One of the drawers, the middle freezer drawer, I can put things in, like cakes or pies that need to be kept in a freezer part. Plus the bottom has two sections for other meat items that need to stay in a freezer part.

The refrigerator had a whole lot of space inside of it. I mean I could always fit two or three gallon milk jugs in there. It also was really quiet so you could never hear it like some of the older less efficient refrigerators out there. But to improve the refrigerator I would add water filters and a water dispenser. I would also add more freezer space because people freeze a lot of things like meats. Also, I would give it Bluetooth capability with a tv screen next to the water dispenser. Otherwise LG has indeed met my expectations. When they show off they really know how to make appliances look good. I think what they do and what they are good at is keeping things simple. Sometimes, these other brands have too much going on that it just doesnt do it for most people.

I bought this LG Gas Slide In Stove Model LSG4511ST from Home Depot online on Feb 17, 2018. Within a few weeks of barely using it all five burners on the stainless steel stove top were corroding with rust. We just spent a ton of money remodeling our kitchen and were excited to get our first and new Slide in Gas Stove. Well the nightmare began. We contacted Home Depot and they referred us to LG. Home Depot wouldn’t speak to us. We paid $1300 for the stove. After many calls, chats and emails to LG customer service and their executive office they replaced the entire SS stove top and all five burners after SIX months of hell with them. They didn’t show up, excuses, no response to emails, no call backs - HORRIBLE company. Then within a short time after they replaced parts it started corroding AGAIN around ALL FIVE burners. The calls, chats, emails to LG started again and this time they don’t respond at all. I tried Home Depot also and they will not take any responsibility. Nothing! I am sitting here with a defective ugly stove in the middle of our brand new kitchen. I am now forced to sue them. I filed a complain the US Bureau of Consumer Goods a month ago, was assigned a complaint number and “investigator” name and email and they don’t respond either. I have tons of documentation of this nightmare and photos. The icing on the cake is I wrote a review for the stove on www.homedepot.com and they “rejected” it. They didn’t want the public to know the truth about a product they sell!

We purchased a LG 3 door fridge with ice and water two years ago. Did some updating in the kitchen and decided it would be nice to have one last new one... The one we replaced it with was a 25+ year old side by side GE... Still worked fine, never did a repair to it, but this LG was so pretty.. All electronic computerized.. Almost two years to the day we got it, it has died taking everything stored in it with it? This is so disheartening for retired people that just want one last nice thing in their lives... I bought a new LG washer and Dryer, and a new 70 inch LG tv... Praying these don’t go out like the fridge! Be cautious about buying an LG!

The refrigerator has a bio shield, it contains liner inverter compressor, it also has a temp. control process, and other cool features like multi air flow, tempered glass shelf. Its much electricity consuming. Though it has some really cool features but I dislike that one most among all. A great portion of my electricity bill increased. I choose LG because of their service quality. I used different LG products in the past. Im very much satisfied with the quality service of LG. Though there have some other brands in the market but I prefer LG over them.

The LG TROMM washing machine is a horrible waste of money. LG must have put all their efforts into making a machine that appears to be a high tech, environmentally friendly machine without actually testing it. The clothes stink when they come out so you have to run empty clean cycles frequently which, of course, waste water and energy (hot water cycle). The safety latch errors outweigh too much. Their customer service department (barely spoke English when I called) told me to unplug it and wait for five minutes. I will not buy another LG product and I will encourage everyone I can to do the same.

Buyer beware before you consider purchasing an LG washer and dryer. I have owned mine for 2 and 1/2 years. Thank goodness I got an extended warranty on the washer, after 13 months I noticed that my clothes were not getting cleaned and most of the time there were dry spots where no water even got on the clothes. Could not count the times I have washed the load twice. The repair man is here again (on my $) and it does not look good. The dryer has never dried well, always have to dry each load several times. FYI, there are only 2 people in the family and most of my wash loads are very small.

I bought a LG refrigerator. Now 5 years old. It quit working. Started by calling the 800 number for LG repair. That was on July 27th 2020. Getting a call center out of the United States. They were very nice for the most part. A little hard to understand. I started getting texts with repair service would be in touch. I would wait and not hear anything. Call again. Again promise I would hear from them. This has gone on mind you since July, 27th 2020. Not getting anything done. I paid $100 for a service call. Was told there is a leak in the Freon line and maybe a fan problem. So again I call the 800 number. Was told I would get a email to send the proof of purchase. What they know I have it. I got all the information ready. As of today Oct. 28th of Oct nothing has happened. Thank You for letting me vent.

I purchased this refrigerator on Jan 25, 2016 from Home Depot. I didnt actually use it until after renovating my home so it was put in service in July 2016. In January 2017 we lost refrigeration. This was the start of what felt like never ending problems. Because the fridge was less than one year old we had to use LG, not the Home Depot extended warranty.LG responded that they would have a service person there after 4 days. In the interim, we lost all of our food and had no refrigeration. I complained about the delay and they fundamentally didnt care. The repairman came and could not repair it. He ordered parts which would take several days. I complained again to LG and said we had a lemon but they would not replace the fridge and we had no cooling. And the fact we were without the appliance did not matter to them. The parts came, they were installed and the fridge did not work.LG said they would send another repairman which again took a few days. They would not acknowledge we had a lemon and they had ZERO empathy about our situation. They did not care that our $3,000 brand new fridge did not work and we had nothing. BTW we had also purchased a new LG washer and dryer the same day as the fridge but that meant nothing to them. It was a $5,300 order. I contacted Home Depot, who were wonderful. They sent us a small fridge to use.The new repairman came. He said they need different parts. He picked them up himself the next day. He installed them and the fridge worked...for a few days. We had returned the Home Depot loaner fridge, we were assuming the problem was fixed. Then we lost cooling again! I contacted LG, they said we would get a repairman in a few days! I contacted Home Depot and they sent another loaner fridge. It took another 3 weeks and a few visits by different people before it was repaired. I put in a formal request for a replacement and LG refused it. Essentially saying that notwithstanding our problems, it was repairable and not a LEMON. Of course they knew their warranty would run out so if it was a LEMON they obviously did not care.Today is February 10, 2019. My extended warranty ran out on Jan 25th, 2019. I couldnt buy a further extension (I tried to) because the original price of the fridge was too high for an extension. That worried me given the history of problems. I was able to extend my washer and dryer and I did. Yesterday, the compressor started making a noise again. The same noise we had before the other failures. Although, the warranty expired Home Depot will service it because they have a 30 day grace period. Thank you Home Depot. You are an honorable business. LG, you are terrible. This fridge is a LEMON and should have been replaced. No-one should have this many problems and now be faced with future bills because of your companys failure to honor the quality of a product you make. LG is not an honorable manufacturer. Stay away from their products.

LRFC22750ST - Bought new and 2 months later, the plastic tabs that hold French doors break so they have to replace both upper door assemblies because they dont sell the $2 part. Oops! The new doors dont match so now they have to order the bottom freezer door because they dont carry that style of door anymore. Sold fridge with house. Done? Nope! New house has same fridge, with broken tabs! Then the door switch fails and the lights stay on and cooks the food on the top shelf, slags the temp control unit and lens. Since you cant buy parts, I temporarily solved problem by replacing bulbs with LED ones (they dont generate much heat). Everyone Ive spoken to has similar issues as others here have listed. Bad business LG! Very short term thinking! You are creating an army of anti-LG activists.

I purchased an LG after reviewing them on Consumer Reports and other websites. I purchased mine from Lowes in June 2016 but it was not installed until August 2018 due to the delay of my home construction completion. So in service less than 1 year and no longer will cool or freeze as of 8-1-19. After a little research I discovered that the Linear Compressor failure is a COMMON problem with LG. NOTE LG at the time of my purchase had a 5 year warranty on this unit from the purchase date, I believe it is now a 10 year warranty. I called customer service on 8-2-19 to report problem. I was told I would be contacted by an authorized service center within 48 hours. NO CONTACT. ON 8-4-19 got a call from LG indicating I would be provided free service & repair for the cooling issue and would receive a call from an authorized service center with 48 hours (ANOTHER 48 hours with no frig/freezer). On 8-4 I received an email that my request had been sent to an authorized repair center. On 8-5 I received an email Service Appointment Cancellation Notification. I again called and advised I had never been contacted about a service appt. She put me on hold and came back and said I had a new service appt on 8-8 between 8-5 and the provider would call me 1 hour prior. On 8-6 I got another Cancellation Notice. It is now 8-12-19, still no frig/freezer or repair scheduled. I have documented everything and will pursue. I also discovered there is a class action against LG for this same problem. My request was escalated to Executive Services Project Team on 8-8-19 and I was told to call him (will not mention names yet) back on Saturday as he would be working from 9-6, if I had not received a response within 48 hours. He did send me an email with his name and unit but no direct phone number. On 8-10 I called and asked to speak to the person and was advised no one worked in that division on the weekend.Today 8-12 I called and asked for Executive Services and spoke to another man. He advised that a repair provider was sent a letter of authorization for a labor rate of $450 flat on 8-5-19. The man tried to call them with no answer. I advised it was too early here in Hawaii and he asked if I could call them. I have called them with no person answering, and left two messages. (Perhaps this was one of the cancelled appointments). I need to know IF AND WHEN my refrigerator will be repaired. I have guests coming in two days and will rent one if I have to but NEED a response from someone that has a clue about what steps will be taken. By the way, pretty no one here on the island of Hawaii will repair either LG or Samsung. Next time I will check with repair services before I buy an appliance.

Purchased our first big purchase for our kitchen remodel. All LG products. Stainless steel. Big upgrade for us. The dishwasher had 2 minor problems that we were able to fix. Our refrigerator (model LFX28978ST/0) although has had 3 of the shelves in the door cracked, a rolling wheel on the Vegetable bin broke, the clear cover on the butter dish broke and the ice tray cracked. All within 3 year of purchase. LG suggests we purchase the entire ice maker $180 just for a $10 ice tray, the vegetable bin is no longer available. The other parts I was able to purchase at $150. After contacting LG I understand they dont even sell replacement parts. You have to go through a parts business. I will never purchase another LG product again and I will make sure all my friends, family and all my contacts on Facebook know about the terrible customer service and shoddy craftsmanship LG has.

LG French Door Refrigerator LMXS30776S. Loud noise, sounded like a fan or something. Called LG, out of warranty repair. Charged me $135 to schedule an appointment. Had a morning appt. Tech arrived in the afternoon. He seemed to be guessing at what was wrong. Started taking apart the bottom freezer drawers. Asked for a hair dryer, and said since he was new he didnt have a steamer. First time I have ever felt compelled to write a review but after reading through so many here and having the worst experience Ive ever had with a Customer Service group I really need to. For the reviewer who said they took a day off to be home for a confirmed (via email) service appointment that was a no-show cancellation because LG never actually had a repair person confirmed - the exact same thing happened to me two weeks ago today... I even called that morning 3 hours into my 4 hour window to verify and was told someone was en route only to find out when I called 90 minutes later I was only then told that the appointment was canceled. I later spoke with the repair facility and they told me they had declined the job because they didnt have availability!Seems Im luckier than most that my LG fridge has gone 8 years without incident. 16 days ago my wife opened it in the morning and it was totally dead. No lights, no compressor, just no power. The outlet tested fine but the lack of lights pointed to it being electrical. I called the toll free number for LG on the inside of fridge and the person seemed helpful enough; Said it probably needed a new motherboard, but because it was out of warranty he would need my credit card details and for $361 we could get this fixed. Thats cheaper than a new fridge so I gave him what I needed and they were certainly very expedient in putting the charge on my credit card! I started to look around on the internet to see if any other reports of this issue and if the fridge could in fact be saved and learned that this whole issue likely stemmed from a small, blown 15 amp fuse... A part that LG soldered into the motherboard rather than put in a easily bracket for easy replacement that could be purchased for about 25 cents. After the no-show appointment, LG Customer Service said they would give the job to another repair facility. They put me on hold, came back a few minutes later and told me they had left them a voicemail and they gave me the phone number and told me that I was free to reach out to them too. I phoned, and left a voicemail around midday that Friday and never received a callback. Over the weekend I phoned and left another voicemail to give them my cell # as well as Id be back at work on Monday and that would be the best number to reach me. By midday on Monday I still had not gotten a call. I did call the number through from the email confirmation the previous week and got a speaking person who gave me the true story on the canceled appointment and told me they could see me on Wednesday afternoon. Confirmed it with them and asked them to contact LG and that I would do the same to let them know that their other company doesnt appear to exist and they need to reassign it to the original technician they schedule. I called LG and was on the phone on hold for most of the time for almost an hour. After an hour and 20 minutes I was disconnected and nobody called me back (all this time Im at work and doing LGs work for them!). I called LG back on my way home and the told me all was good to go.Repairman comes on Wednesday (approximately 1 week since no fridge/contacting LG) after I take a half day to be home and the diagnosis is a blown fuse. Great, but despite it being known from the onset that the motherboard needs to be replaced he doesnt have the part, but they do have 2 in their warehouse and will work with the warranty company on the formalities to try and replace by Friday. No appointment gets made, Repair Service says theyre waiting on LG to approve. I call LG and they tell me another Department cant make the appointment as the Repair Services schedule isnt available online. I call the Repair Service and they tell me nonsense, theyre getting scheduling confirmations from them right now. I call LG back, they tell me theyre now waiting on the Claims Department to approve the part, a process that can take up to 3 business days (this despite charging me almost $400 to replace the part over a week ago).Monday this week comes and I have no phone call, and no appointment. I call LG back and again more being put on hold but now the explanation is were waiting on the part to come in. They couldnt answer me when their Claims Dept approved this so we arrived to this step, nor why we couldnt have had the repair facility (a LG contracted provider!) use one of theirs. They have in stock but Im starting to feel this whole thing is shady. They told me refrigerator repairs are given priority status (a joke!) and that my simple repair was being given a priority to be remedied this week.I called LG back 2 days later (Wednesday, 2 weeks of no fridge and first contact with LG) having not heard back from them and was told that the system shows that I was told that I would be contacted by Friday at the latest if the part had not arrived. I lost my patience at that point and told them I was not told the part coming in would take a full week and that I was instead told that my repair would be a priority to be completed this week and how could we be waiting on a part we knew it needed from the onset, that is readily available to purchase online at a fraction of what Im being charged, and that their repair service was in possession of 2 of them. I told them that rather than trying to bilk a few extra dollars of profit on this 5 minute repair job by using the cheapest available board they can assign in their system they really need to make this a customer resolution case as its been 2 weeks and I need to speak with someone who can look at this absurd situation and make an actual decision to get it fixed. They tell me they will try to forward me to a supervisor to see if they can help. After 10+ minutes on hold the person I was speaking with comes back online and tells me the repair appointment has been made for between 8 AM and 12 PM tomorrow. I thought someone in charge realized and was acting in customer-retention mode until they told me it was not the repairman who had seen me a week ago that would be coming but the one who never returned my 2 voicemails. I asked to confirm for certain hes bringing the board and fully prepared for the appointment to make the repair and am told is the case.I take another half day from work, and the repairman shows up early and when I let him in my house I half-jokingly say to him, Please tell me you have the board and he looks at me with no clue and says he didnt bring anything, the work-order he got only said LG Refrigerator - not cooling. Hes almost as angry as I am that he wasnt told the fridge was totally dead of electric and that another technician had already been here and made the diagnosis. I felt bad for him as he came from a good distance away in the teeth of rush hour having been told to make my call a priority but a total waste of his time and mine. At this point I called LG and just lost it with them and essentially told them their Out of Warranty purchase had to be some kind of scam bordering on criminality as there is no way a real business enterprise could be this incompetent! I was told my account was being escalated to their real Resolution people (i.e. the ones tasked with explaining the inexcusable) and it would take 24 to 48 business hours for one of them to contact me and no doubt the buffer is in hopes that Im much calmer.I have a family of 4 thats been living out of a cooler on my kitchen floor the last 16 days and running out every other night for a new 16 LBS bag of ice. I had to invest in a chest freezer for my garage so that we had some kind of food for my kids on-hand. Ive burned 2 full days off from work and have easily spent more than 3 hours on the phone during business hours on hold with LG. And my fridge is still not fixed, and no appointment in sight for someone to come here and essentially unplug 5 little plugs and then plug the 5 little plugs into the new board. And they charged me almost $400 for this level of service when I could have gotten a new board for $120 and done this myself.I think LG right now on the service front is trying to milk the last nickel of profit on these out of warranty purchases on the assumption it will be the last nickel they see from these customers. Perhaps a self-fulfilling prophecy experiences like this will make a reality. Maybe the US market isnt working out for LG Appliance as it doesnt seem like their heart is in it for the long-haul.

I bought a new LG kitchen appliance set Stove/fridge in 2015, which cost a little over $5000, the fridge was in my house 45 mins from the store, I hired a plumber to install and connect a new water line for the fridge, after it was connected and plugged in, the water disperser would not work, I phoned LG right away, LG service personnel asked me how old the fridge was, I told her... 45mins, she was shocked and embarrassed, and 4 days later they sent a appliance technician to fix it.We have had nothing but problems with this fridge, the ice maker works off and on when it feels like it, the door jam between the french doors broke... Cheap plastic. The 2 oven stove burnt one burner coil out not long after the warranty was over, I contacted LG, they said for a one time fee I could have it repaired, and so on, my reply was... Ill never buy your product again. The glass stove top is very dangerous, hot pots and pans slide around very easy, dangerous around young children. I wished I would have kept my old GE set, old and ugly but still worked.

Placed 1/2 load of towels in washer, started machine, then went shopping. Upon return washer door was open, water was pouring out of the door, and the towels were all over the floor. Apparently, this happened soon after we left because the washroom was flooded, the hallway was flooded, the bedroom was flooded, and the basement had the equivalent of an inch of water everywhere, it had even streamed into the garage through the wall from the washroom. After calling LG we were told the machine was out of warranty and to call an LG repairman. He was not available for two weeks. After performing extensive diagnostics in conjunction with LG tech support, he was advised that the machine checked out in all respects, but that LG recommended replacing the main board and both inlet valves at a cost for parts of over $500 plus labor. We could use the machine, but recommended that we not leave the house. We have had a number of repairs to the machine for the door not locking and have expensive switches replaced. Over $500 in repairs in the first two years. Now the machine is 4 years old and they want more money (see above) for repairs. Consumer Reports currently rates LG as the top front loader. We cannot understand how this can be an honest report, because our experience with these products and with LG has been abysmal. We noticed that on searching for LG washer problems, we came across three other reports under Consumer Reviews describing exactly our problem. LG told its repairman they had no other reports of such a problem, which obviously was a direct lie since we found three on our first search. Our order number on this machine from Home Depot is ** It was paid for on 6/22/11, and delivered on 6/28/11.

We just purchased an LG kitchen package including the glass top electric LG range with knobs on the front (LSE4613/LSE4611) and had it delivered on 7/11/20. We have had it in our home for one week and weve accidentally turned the front knobs on multiple times by reaching into the microwave, cleaning the back splash, or reaching above into a cabinet. The knobs should not be that easy to turn. They are a push and turn style knob. We went back to the store to begin an exchange process for a model with the knobs in the back, but we are very disappointed because we like the appearance of this style much better. We are shocked by how easy it is to turn these knobs and really dont want to have to resort to ugly child proofing on our brand new appliances. Is there a better option?

On 3/5/16 while cooking a potato in my microwave, the unit started on fire. The microwave shut off and I needed to wait for the fire to burn out before opening the door. It was obvious the unit was irreparable. I contacted LG Customer Service in 3/7/16. At first, they tried to tell me I was to blame. Misuse of an appliance because I placed the potato on a paper towel. The manual states a paper towel, paper napkin, paper plate are ALL acceptable. The CSR refused to believe me until she read it herself. Finally, she agreed I was NOT at fault and told me someone would be in touch with me within the next 10 business days. I uploaded photos of the damage as requested. 10 days later a rep from LG Property and Liability contacted me. Please upload more photos, which I did. Was there any other damage? No. Any loss of life due to the fire? No. Okay, well theres nothing I can do. Youll have to go back to Customer Service. Now Im back to where I started again facing questions about misuse because of the paper towel. I was advised I would need to pay for an LG technician to come to my house to determine if it was repairable or a total loss. I didnt think I should be expected to pay for the technician since I already knew its a total loss and the photos support that. I asked for a manager. Theresa got on the line and told me the same thing except she said I would need the microwave receipt to show the technician. I explained this microwave along with a refrigerator and stove were purchased by the former homeowner just prior to my purchasing the home 3 years ago, so I did not have the receipt. Well, there is NOTHING I can do for you. Youre not the original owner. So after their appliance starts a fire, and 3 weeks of answering their questions, uploading photos, waiting for their assistance, I was advised Im on my own. They will do nothing for me.

It often takes an entire day to do one load of laundry because this LG top load washer WT4870CW cannot balance itself and vibrates severely and smacks into the wall. Often, when I try to rebalance a load, the load seems to be already balanced, but the machine does not think it is balanced. This HE machine is supposed to save water, but the water constantly runs as the machine tries to balance at the spin at the end of the wash and during the rinse cycle. I have tried to contact LG several times through their online portal and they ignore my requests for service, or send me a video about how to balance the machine (the machine is level). Now going through the calling them phase of trying to get this resolved. I hate this machine and wish I had never bought it. It does not work as intended and LG is falsely advertising this machine as a water saving appliance because the water seems to run the entire wash. Do not buy this machine!!!

We have an LG TV and it was a decent TV so when we decided to buy a new refrigerator, we looked at Costco and decided that LG was what we wanted to go with. I purchased it with Amazon and purchasing from them is always good so I had no problems there. But the quality of the refrigerator itself is bad. It was faulty and broken. I returned it immediately. I did not wanna risk the same thing because the repair guy who came out from A&E said that even though that wasn’t the problem with most LG refrigerators, the compression unit was definitely something that went out within the first 18 months. The repair guy would actually recommend GE over LG any day of the week. And customer service was terrible as well. I had several issues, especially since the LG product leaked water uncontrollably out of the ice compartment. There was nothing that we were pushing either. It was just dripping. We ended up having some water damage to our wood floors and Im still trying to get LG to pay for that. It’s been over a month.

Purchased a very expensive LG washing machine. The leak had been ongoing for a couple of years and was caused by a very cheap neoprene gasket (20p to replace) behind the soap draw, this in turn leaked onto the main PCB at the bottom front left of the machine causing this board to fail with a loud bang. The reason why I am not going to buy an LG appliance again is two fold. Very well made appliance (mostly) yet a small cheap component failed after just 2 years which then lead to a major component failure with no real noticeable warning. Replacement parts are as expensive as a new cheaper machine. Customer services is diabolical I had to email the UK CEO just to get customer services to call me back and yes of course the problem was denied (despite many other cases on the internet) as a known fault. Conclusion buy 3 cheaper machines for the price of 1 LG......... SIMPLES. This is known by LG customer services yet they choose to deny its a known problem.

I had an LG washer for about three and half years. The washer stopped spinning. I called LG for the 10-year warranty and was told that a technician would come out and check the washer. I was told it would be around $100 to diagnose the problem. I told LG that the motor was slipping, it should be covered under their 10-year warranty. They said I would still have to pay a technician to come out to tell me what I already knew. I argued with them many times about the problem. I even asked them to send someone out for a courtesy call; they would not . They finally gave me the number for Parts. They found the part for the motor rotor assembly. They opened the back of the washer, undid the mounting bolt, removed the rotor, and sure enough, the rotor assembly gear was made of cheap plastic. It was strange because the new one with a metal center was stripped out. This not only should be covered by the warranty, but also, a defective product should be covered by the company. The whole job of replacing this part was about 15 minutes and $75 in parts. I have photos of the part being removed with its stripped center and the new one being installed.

I have logged complaint nearly 2 month back regarding lg 258 litres gl-d292rpjl(pg) frost free double door fridge. In which company has not supplied two major accessories like two steel zig zag rods for holding 1.5 liter cold drinks bottles and one chiller door was missing. We observed that main accessories was missing or stolen from fridge. In 2 months the company response was very poor to resolve that issue. One side that mnc is spending scores of rupees in advertisement and another side they are cheating with customer by supplying defective home appliances.Company representative telling me that fridge is not having that accessories but that can be proved clearly by given image that are missing. Now I will take that issue with consumer forum. I have purchased that on 25 Aug 2014 after seeing all the specification of that model. Now company not taking my issue seriously. They are saying that they have updated that model. Please tell me if that model is modified then how that places are vacant in my fridge which is clear in picture. Dealer is also agree to pay the amount of that attachment/Accessories to company but company now telling that accessories are not available. It is total disappointed if that accessories not available then why they are producing that model. Do the needful as soon as possible otherwise I will defame your lg product in social media and it will cost you badly. If you are serious for your company image then resolve that issue as soon as possible.

LG LRE3023ST - At one year and 5 days the glass top broke, we did not drop anything on it and LG sent their service people to look at it. Their service people verified that it should not have broken, yet they refused to pay so we paid $500 for a new top. Today at 2 and a half years old, the stove is unrepairable. Service estimate was $800+ and its not worth fixing. My last stove lasted for 30 years! Absolute junk and LG will not do anything about it. I called today to see and was only told its out of warranty so its my problem. I will NEVER buy LG anything again.

These are the doors to our LG French door refrigerator. Before the refrigerator was 1 year old the black finish started peeling off the stainless steel exterior. According to LG this is purely a cosmetic issue and they refused to cover any of this with the warranty. I just wanted people to know black stainless steel appliances especially those from LG might be something you might not want to consider ever purchasing. We are very sorry we did. There are over 2,000 complaints already listed on the internet against LG refrigerators.

To whom it may concern. My name is Liliana **, I purchased a LG refrigerator in 2012, my refrigerator is not cooling and the compressor is making a loud noise. I’ve called with my concerns on 7/14/19, the CSR was unable to help since the smart diagnostics staff did not work on weekends. Called Monday 7/15/19 spoke with one of the staff members however we tried to get the smart diagnosis to work but “ the phone signal” wasn’t good enough so nothing could be done. The rep. asked me to reset the system but nothing we tried worked, I was very frustrated not only I’ve suffered monetary loss since I had to throw away a lot of the food that was in the freezer and refrigerator. I had to wait on the line for over 30 and stayed with the rep for over an hour. My frustration grew bigger when she told me that I have to get it serviced and who knows how much More I would have to spend on servicing my refrigerator. Then she said that if I can provide my receipt of purchase then maybe the company might grant me a “one time courtesy service.” I right away made a copy and sent it to them online and my request went on for review. Today 7/16/19, got the email rejecting the request, saying that the unit is “too far out of warranty.” I paid $2400.00 for this appliance. I have the original receipt, I cannot afford to buy another refrigerator, I had high hopes when I bought this appliance, for LG to tell me that my fridge is out of warranty. My Manual clearly states that the Linear compressor has a 10 year warranty. I am very disappointed LG can’t stand behind their products, I’m not asking for a new refrigerator but I’m asking to reconsider their decision not to service my refrigerator, I think as a customer I deserve at least one chance to given a courtesy service. What if the issue is indeed the compressor? Are you not going to grant the warranty?. I’ve attached the email I received and a copy of my receipt for your review. I’m asking you to please help me to overturn the decision made by LG... This was my letter to Customer Service, I have already a denial of request. You might think well the fridge is indeed old, well I bought a Kenmore refrigerator in 2004, guess what? Still working, I have no issues - is 15 years old, no issues and have the receipt on that one too. I’ve hear too many issues and complaints about LG products and no one really wants to fix it.

I have the same problem as Michele in Florida. Ice maker stopped and now the whole thing is not cooling. Finding someone who will work on LG is a pain. I have two other friends with LG refrigerator one has already had to replace the ice maker at a cost of $400 and the other one constantly has trouble with their ice maker. This refrigerator listed for $3500. It was the largest ever at the time. I so wish I had never purchased this refrigerator.

Just removed our kitchen last year. We brought this microwave in Aug 2017. Only lasted 14 months. One day was heating a biscuit, it started popping smell like wires were burning. Now it doesnt heat. Was told $125.00 just to come out. If it took longer than 15 minute to repair it would be another $65.00 up to $175.00. We decided that buying another brand would be better for us. We will never again buy a LG product. Our other microwave is a GE Profile and is over 7 years old and never had any problems. I wish I would have done a better job checking out LG appliances.

I bought a French door LG refrigerator stainless steel. The bottom freezer drawer has runs in it. I thought it was stainless steel. The control panel is peeling back and apart from a factory defect they will not cover neither of these things. I will never purchase another LG product again. Theyre all junk and they do not stand by their equipment.

I gave it 18 months of aggravation washing... I do not see how bumping the clothes around in limited water will get my clothes clean. I do not get how they think clothes will come clean with this system. I HATE IT. I HATE IT.

I will throw this piece of crap out and buy another one from a company who stands behind what they sell

Bought LG refrigerator LFXS28968S/00 in Dec. On Thurs May 24, error code dH F (not in manual) and stopped working. LG said to unplug for a few minutes to fix it. Wrong! Lost fridge full of food for family of 4. Called LG back, they said earliest they could send a repair person was following Wed morning, a week after fridge stopped working. I took day off work, but he showed up at 5:30 pm, worked for 2 hours, said it was fixed. Told me to put a brick behind fridge so it wouldnt sit too close to wall. Done. Bought new fridge full of food. By next morning, error code back, fridge not working. Called LG repeatedly, no help. Finally reached the repair person who said he had ordered a part. That was over a week ago. Left him subsequent voicemails, no response. Have called LG repeatedly, finally demanding new fridge. They said no even though its under warranty and no new repair or repair date after 2-1/2 weeks with no fridge and much $ lost in two loads of spoiled food. Im a busy working single mom now having to feed family on restaurant food or shop daily for just enough to cook for a meal without wasting the rest with no refrigeration. Terrible product, terrible service.
