This is the absolute worst washing machine ever!!! It never gets through a cycle without numerous error messages. The place we bought it refused to take it back within a week of purchasing it. The LG repair man came and it was no better. It is supposed to be high efficiency. Sometimes a cycle will last for hours with all the error messages and then it resets the timer and goes back to earlier in the cycle. I HATE this machine and it should be taken off the market.

I wish I read about LG Brand before I bought my Refrigerator. I bought the top of the line French Door Fridge. Cost me $3500 thinking it would last. NOPE. I have had only trouble since I bought it 6 years ago. I have had LG come in to fix at least 5 times (ice issue, cooling issue, light issue, etc.). Now it is the sealing issue. Doesnt freeze or stay cool anymore. I have called numerous places to fix it but they cant even fix it. No one can fix an LG product! I get it... its 6 years old but I am willing to pay for it but no one can fix it. I called LG so I can get some assistance but the operators doesnt speak English! They sound like they are just reading from a screen and they are repeating what they are saying. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy an LG product. They do not stand by their own product!

Weve had this washer for about 2 years now and it is a terrible machine (the model is WM2050CW). When I wash shirts (4 or 5), I get soap stains on the shirts. The shirts have developed little pills (I do small loads at a time). If we dont keep the door open at all times we get a smell from the washer. It uses such little water I cant see how clothes could possibly be clean. We bought this at a Sears Outlet store. The washer and dryer were returned by a customer and we know now why. These were issues with the washer right from the start, but its just getting worse (and more and more frustrating). I wish wed bought a cheap top load washer. It takes forever to do a load of laundry and while it uses less water, it takes twice as much electricity. I thought it only fair to alert you to our dissatisfaction before we start to share with others. We had only heard good things about LG, but we will never buy another LG product, and we will urge anyone that will listen not to either.

I purchased my washer 7/17/2014. On or about 3 weeks ago I noticed a little puddle of water on the floor. I didnt think much about it, then the next day I was washing a load of clothes, and the little puddle became a flood. I called Lowes, Moreno Valley, California where I purchased the machine, and told my salesperson what had happened. he stated, Lets just bring out a new one. That sounded like a good idea since the machine was less than 2 months old. Then I was told, We have to have a tech come out and see what the problem is, before we can do an exchange. Ok, well the tech was scheduled for the next week. I work, so I had to arrange for someone to be at my house for the tech. (in the meantime - Lowes did send out a loaner machine, I have to do laundry. So the tech came out, and because the machine was not hooked up, he said he couldnt do anything and Lowes would have to have someone come and put the washer back in the laundry room. I called and spoke with my salesperson. So now they are going to send another tech out and will have their people come and hook up the washer. The men that came out and took the loaner away and put my washer in the laundry room, managed to put a scratch on the front of my washer. The next day the tech arrives, he tells me there is a hole in the pump, and he will have to order the part. I call Lowes, and am once again told that they will send out a loaner until my washer can be repaired, so here it is Friday 3 weeks later, no washer, and told that Lowes will have someone come out and paint the scratch. First the manager said he would knock of 10% of what I paid for the machine. Is he crazy? I had a new machine, looks like a used one. My complaint is with both LG and Lowes. Both places have given me the runaround, and the worst customer service.

It takes me hours to wash a load of clothes, because it keeps stopping blinking unbalanced, it does this whether there is a full load, just one thing or cleaning. The washer will get down to 2 or 3 minutes left in the cycle then completely reset itself back to the beginning of the cycle and start all over again. Took me 6 hours to wash 5 towels the other day, finally had to stop the washer hand wring out my towels, just to get the load done so I could wash more clothes. My towels have never smelt as bad as they do since I got this washer 3 years ago. Hate this, I have 7 people in my house I cannot wait hours to wash one load of clothes.

I bought this washer (LG WT4870C) 11-2013 on ratings in Consumer Reports magazine. It has not lived up to the reviews given. The load is constantly off balance and the machine will continue to add water and move clothes around until I stop it. You cannot leave this washer running without constantly checking it. Clothes do not clean even after sloshing in the water for an hour. I have the original receipt, and would love to replace it. I am in the market for a new dryer, my Kenmore Elite stopped suddenly after 5 short years with numerous repair calls. My first washer and dryer, basic Maytag brand lasted 20 years. Any recommendations on a good dryer?

The compressor on our fridge went out 2 weeks ago. We told customer service it was the compressor. A repair man came 3 days later. He let us know the compressor was bad. We already knew this! Did he have the part with him? No. He ordered the part. It’s on backorder. No one can tell us when the fridge will be repaired. Meanwhile, I’m using a cooler for food for our family of four and shopping daily to get ice and meat. This is nuts and the whole thing feels like a scam. I’m going to have to buy a new fridge soon and it will definitely not be an LG.

Rescheduled each time for 2 weeks later. Then he showed without parts although we knew is was the compressor and came back in two weeks. I had no refrigerator for about 6 weeks and lost $1000 worth of fresh and frozen food. They try to make it so hard you give up trying. I called both LG and the repair people 20 times each. They said they would reimburse me for lost food but I will probably never get it.

I had a great older dryer... No problems ever and I bought it used! Decided to upgrade to a LG efficiency dryer not expecting it to stop working after a year and a half... But of course after the warranty expired, it stops working 4 months later... After I have somebody come figure out the problem, it will probably cost 200.00... So disappointed in LG products... I feel nothing is ever made right anymore... Made cheaply so youre forced to spend more money on repairs and services...

I bought the washing machine because of the large tub. I assumed I would be able to do good size loads, very reasonable but large. Not the case. I also expected the machine to wash the cloths. My laundry is not unusually soiled in anyway just normal day to day of a retired couple. Even a white towel load with a cup of bleach and the towels were not clean. The machine has a glass top so I watched as I put the load through again. The towels on the top never even were cycled through the soapy water (what little water there was). Because of this they also did not get rinsed adequately. To see just how well they did get rinsed I again put the same towel load in not adding any soap to see if any was still in the towels. The wash looked as though I had put detergent in as usual. I had used the very small amount of the detergent as instructed. I wish I had researched this washer before buying as I NEVER would have bought it. I was blinded by the size of the tub and hope to warn anyone else considering this machine. I have had it 3 weeks and will try to return it to Home Depot where I bought it but I am doubtful I will get very far with that.

We have had ours for almost a year. These LG stoves that have knobs on the front seem like a great idea. EXCEPT when you cook and bump into these stoves, the buttons turn on. We have had two near fires in kitchen had someone NOT been home and these knobs got bumped before we left we would have come home to a major house fire. We have tracked the knobs for 5 months since the first two incidences and today after last night, I am junking this new oven and buying a safer one-too dangerous to give away. NO it wont be an LG. I have read that they dont do much in fixing the problems. But I will contact where I purchased the stove and let them know of the dangerous stove they are selling.

Purchased model LFXC24726S/00 November 2014. Had to be serviced January 2015 due to excessive ice buildup in freezer. Time frame was 5 wks d/t, part not in stock, reorder wait & install. 8/1/18 fridge dead. Told 8/14 would be soonest tech would be available to come out, diagnose, possible order part if not available then repair...2+ weeks with no working fridge. Told I could rent one in the meantime and be reimbursed at 25% of the cost of my fridge. Seriously?!! Lost food, utilize insulin (requires refrigeration), had to purchase a new fridge ASAP.I don’t about anyone else but I don’t have $2200-$3000 lying around for new fridges every 4yrs. Totally unacceptable! I will NEVER purchase another LG product again as they are not supported by the company once you get them in your home. It was suggested that I have it moved into the garage after I get the new one & allow them to repair it. Why the hell would I do that? I don’t need 2 fridges, I just need 1 that is reliable & works!

I waited four months for this refrigerator to be delivered from Lowes which is ridiculous to begin with. This refrigerator is so obnoxiously noisy. The compressor runs virtually non stop with a high pitch fan noise. I called LG and complained and first the rep acknowledged that the compressor should cycle down but when I said it doesnt then he said that was normal. I held the phone up to back of frig and he couldnt hear or said he couldnt hear it so theres nothing wrong. His tone was rude. This thing is torturing us with constant noise and we had a tech out who raised the front legs and now on top of high pitched compressor noise theres a loud low vibration humming. This frig is so loud it drives everyone out of the house, out of 3 rooms adjacent to refrigerator. Now we have to call Lowes to return it and we have no back up because we had them remove the old refrigerator when this new one came. WARNING: DO NOT BUY A LG REFRIGERATOR ESPECIALLY WITH LINEAR COMPRESSION!!! Its a nightmare to try and live with.

I recently purchased over 10k in appliances from Home Depot and the Studio line of LG ranges is an engineering nightmare. As others have expressed on their reviews, this range (LG Studio 6.3) presents a very risky and dangerous fire hazard. We did a complete remodel on a new beach house and used all studio LG products, we do not even as yet occupy the house and have never cooked on the stove, nonetheless, mere bumping of the knobs will cause them to turn on unbeknownst to the passerby... Our new 150k custom kitchen would have been set alight if my husband had not smelled the smoke from another room. This has already happened 3 times in the month the range has been installed with no one actually occupying the residence! In disbelieve I did a google search and lo and behold this seems to be a common denominator for all LG range owners. I have contacted Home Depot and LG (Blah blah... We will send a tech. Lol.) however my brother who is a NASA engineer had a look and determined it is an engineering design flaw. It appears LG is closing this model out however if they had any credibility they will recall this immediately before there is serious injury or death... If there has not been already. I am speaking with a law firm next week about a possible class action suit and will post on this site with any information. If you are considering this product, you should do this with the utmost caution, it is a dangerous design.

This washer has many bad issues. I purchased it 1 year ago. Most annoying is the soap dispenser rarely works. Sometimes it doesnt dispense other times it dispenses only a little and lately only when the cycles done and I open the door it dispenses. The drying cycle never ever has dried the dishes. Water puddles on top of glassware and bowls constantly. I always have to dry the dishes. The adjustable racks are most annoying, as they dont stay where you adjust them and I spend too much time bent down adjusting them as they collapse again. The filter that you have to remove and clean all the time is a pain. This overprice dishwasher was the biggest mistake. It has turned me sour on LG appliances as I purchased a LG fridge at the same time, which is a whole other complaint. Stay away from LG!

Fix for mildew smell in LG washer: Use a half cup or so of plain old cheap vinegar in every load. It takes the smell away. Add it with the detergent you use. We use 2 or 3 cups in heavy loads of towels. Our old top loader, my mothers front loader, and our new LG all needed it. Nothing we ever did took the smell away. For us it was a combination of the water in our town and our washers. Just try it. Your clothes will not smell like vinegar. We hated that smell and this fixed it. Anytime we forget to add it, we get the smell again. A gallon of cheap vinegar costs 2, maybe 3 bucks at the most? Seriously, try it on a few loads of towels and youll be happy.

Okay as I was cleaning out the drawers, shelves and inside of my refrigerator for the third time. I purchased it from HHGregg on 11/30/2015. I decided I needed to let others know about this refrigerator so they wouldnt have to go through the same thing. Thankfully I purchased the extended service plan. We replaced the main board on July of 2018 and then the compressor went out on 1/14/2019. I am currently cleaning out the refrigerator again a year later because it quit cooling once again. Luckily, we have another refrigerator in our basement we can transfer all the food to. We have had that refrigerator for over 18 years and have never had a problem. It is a Whirlpool. We have a company coming out on Monday, two weeks from when I put in the order to fix it again. I do not recommend this refrigerator to anyone.

No one has called us back and we have talked to with 3 managers so far and no one has called us back and we have no service date yet. Wonder how long this will go on? I am getting ready to call them again and spend today on the phone begging for help after spending $4000 on a Refrigerator. Update. We took their phone survey after their 10th call and said we were not happy with the results of the call and they had the ** to call us right back tell me they did not appreciate the review or deserved the low score on the review I gave them. Now we still have a $4000 refrigerator that is not working, cant get anyone to fix it for any amount of money and they have time to call me and tell me they did not like my review. I am speechless. I purchased a LG 6.3 cu. ft. slide-In ELECTRIC Range with ProBake Convection and EasyClean from Costco in 2018 for around $1300. I dont use the range a lot (maybe 8-10 times a month). During the warranty period, 2 burners were not heating properly and the oven was always between 50-75 degrees under where is was set. Under the warranty the 2 burners were replaced, but the technician was not able to figure out why the oven was not heating properly. We tried adjusting the temperate settings using the ovens setting feature with no real results. The month following the end extended warranty, I used the self-cleaning function on the oven which blew the thermal fuse. This was a $300 repair for parts and service call. Last night, the oven just quit working 10 minutes in to cooking a $170 prime rib roast for Christmas dinner after the temperature was turned up to 475 degrees. I might guess it is the thermal fuse again. Yes, the oven is now 4 years old, but it has never functioned properly since the day I purchased it, and it has gotten very little use. I would expect so much more from an $1800 appliance!

I will never buy an LG refrigerator again. They have very poor customer service. They are very good at giving you bogus information and youre calling customer service in the Philippines. My refrigerator went out on a Friday and LG gives me two supposed authorized dealers, one never picked up the phone and the other one was closed at 2:30 and I couldnt leave a message because of a full mailbox. I took it upon myself to get someone out and had it fixed by Monday. If your product goes out on the weekend forget it.The one supposed authorized dealer said they dont fix LG refrigerators in Arizona anymore and LG still continues to give out that name, the other one said they couldnt get someone out for a week. They are very good at jacking people around and it ended up costing me 743.00 for a new compressor which is covered by LG but they said since I didnt call who they told me to they werent covering it. I had Sears products for 20 years and never had a problem. As a company we keeping signing on for these foreign products and they just dont last. I can replace the rotor here for around 80 dollars, so I am not even contemplating going through the hassle of the warranty and having to pay for the service call and then be at the mercy of someone else. So this is the cheapest and easiest route by far and I will have my washer back on line in a week. In the meantime I do have a smaller unit upstairs that will suffice until this one is fixed. So will I buy another LG? I am on the fence on this one. Maybe if I get a great deal. LG has been around for many years, but they were not always called LG. What I read is they were previously GOLDSTAR.... and if memory serves me correctly, GOLDSTAR was something you would buy at the supermarket.

In 2015 I bought all my LG appliances just to get to the 4 yr with them when all came apart. Just in this yr my microwave stop working, my stove supposed to be fitting 5 pots, it only fits 3 on it. My wall oven broke as well, but my worse nightmare is the experience I’m going through with my refrigerator, a MODEL: LMXS30776S/01. This refrigerator has stop cooling and making ice 3 times this yr, between April and November. I called the warranty company and they throw the ball to LG, LG keep sending this A&E Factory service to work on this refrigerator and for the second time in this month they supposedly fixed and leave saying that it would take 24 hrs for the fridge to cool again, 24 hrs passed and The fridge still not working.LG customer service keep say that they can’t replace the unit until the technician writes in his report that the unit is unrepairable. Meanwhile they have the customer without a fridge for almost a month. Christmas is around the corner and this is becoming a nightmare. All I keep hearing from the technician is that this is happening a lot with LG Appliances and LG stead of replacing or reimburse the money prefers to keep expending money paying to service companies.

After Redoing our house after Hurricane Sandy, I thought I would buy this Top of the line washer and dryer. The dryer is great, no complaints, however, the washing machine (Top-Load Direct Drive) does nothing but force dirty water through the clothes. Even with bleach, I could not get socks or floor washing pads at least clean looking. I despise this washing machine and will not buy another LG product especially from Home Depot. When I called about possibly getting service, they referred me to an Electronics company... Enough said. The electronics company wants to charge $80 to come Look at it. There is mechanically nothing wrong with the machine, it just doesnt work well and honestly, hasnt worked well since day one. This pushing water through the clothes is not effective at all. I would prefer a machine with an agitator but, those are hard to find. This machine is not that old and is not used all that much so, I have read reviews of the same situation and it is very clear not to buy this machine. I had read such great reviews for this machine but, am so disappointed because it has lead to nothing but additional costs for me to take at least some washes to the local laundromat on a regular basis. That is how ridiculous this has become. A fairly new (Bought in 8/2013) washing machine and I have to go to the laundromat to get my clothes clean. Buyer Beware on this product.

After reading all the entries in this section, I thought Id let others know that you are not alone. In a nutshell, my LG frig (bottom freezer model LRFC22750SW) had to have the motherboard replaced 3 times in the first 2 years: the lights staying on problem happened twice and one time the light bulbs inside the fridge exploded in my face when I tried to remove them with an oven mitt. The clamps at the top of the doors broke off for no apparent reason. They just fell into my hand one day. The gasket around the fridge doors failed. The icemaker failed. The front dented after barely nudging it. The freezer was blasting frost throughout due to a relay switch going bad. But heres the kicker - there was a class action lawsuit filed due to the lights in the fridge staying on and melting the inside of the fridge. I joined the claim and they advised that my $408 for one of the repairs would be reimbursed. This was over a year ago and I have not received any reimbursement to date. What astonishes me is that some sites say LG refrigerators are in the top 10 of certain lists. I dont understand how this can be true, especially seeing all these complaints on this site. Needless to say, I will never buy another LG and I will never recommend the brand to anyone for any type of device.

We bought an LG dishwasher in December of 2018 and just 4 months later it totally crapped out. We called LG and they wanted to send a service repairman that was more than two hours away from us. He wanted $1000 upfront to come out as he didn’t want to fight with LG to get paid. We said no. Not for a $700 dishwasher. So we got a guy who is only 40 minutes from our house and is very reputable to come and look at it. When he pulled it out he discovered the control switch had caught fire and burned a hole in the bottom of my cupboard! It could’ve burnt my house down!At time of purchase we bought an extended warranty only to find out it’s not worth the paper it’s written on because we live too far away from the city we bought it. Also the control panel was completely fried. They wouldn’t consider paying us for the guy that came out because he’s not registered with them. Still fighting with them to see if we can get our money back as we don’t want something that is a fire hazard in our house. Do not purchase LG products! They are crap.

As soon as the warranty (1 YR) was over... Problems started. Temperature changed by itself; called LG they connected to the unit and fixed it, but continue to ask for me to get extra warranty (I did not). Unit started icing inside and water inside as well, after several (self do it yourself) defrosting, problem continued. Called LG again and they said they could not take care of it, that I needed to make appointment with them to have it fixed. I told them I would take the frig/unit and drop it in front of the store explaining to everyone what was wrong with it and worthless it was. They got connected online and reset it and it worked fine for a while. Now its doing it again. All of their units are worthless even their cell V10 & V20, their dishwasher its also another piece of crap. NEVER AGAIN will I ever buy LG. So far stove/oven and microwave works... but give it time. BTW, units are less than three years old and Im hardly ever home to use them, so it should only be about 6 months worth of use. Thank God I didnt buy the washer and dryer from them.

In 2008 I purchased a four piece kitchen appliance set from LG. Within a year the knobs on the stove started to cracked. I was not aware that there was a recall in 2010 to replace these knobs. Since purchasing this set I have had to replace the dishwasher and the refrigerator as both of them stopped working or begin leaking to the point of repair costing more than replacement. I contacted LG about the knobs recently and they informed me that if I was the original purchaser they would replace the knobs one time for free. After one month of waiting I did not receive the knobs and gave them a call. They then informed me that my request was denied which is why I did not receive the knobs. According to their records my stove was unaffected by this issue. I offered to supply them with pictures of the knobs proving in fact my stove was affected. Not only did they not care that I would never buy LG products again but they did not even have the decency to call me and inform me that they were not going to fulfill the commitment of providing me with the knobs. For any consumer out there interested in buying an LG, I would think twice.

In November 2014, purchased a LG Double door with a bottom freezer drawer for nearly 3000.00. Had repair company to come out to address issue with ice maker only dispensing crushed ice. New assembly was ordered and necessary repairs made. Next, I noticed in a certain angle approaching the refrigerator there appeared what looked like a dent in the door. Upon examining more closely, the problem is a imperfection in the metal which gives such an appearance. Extremely annoying. Service Tech once again dispatched and saw what I saw and said the door would be replaced for there was a imperfection in the metal giving the appearance of a dent. Yesterday he calls and says LG would not be replacing the door for this was cosmetic. They said I could buy a replacement door. What a joke! LG has lost a loyal customer as a result of such a care less concern.

We had no idea what a nightmare we would be having after purchasing our LG
We had no idea what a nightmare we would be having after purchasing our LG Top Loading Washing Machine. The very first problem was a significant leak that was repaired in a timely manner. After that, I had a problem getting the soap out of my clothes and called the toll free number. I was told to use only 3 tablespoons of HE detergent, I was only using 1 tablespoon and still could not get the soap out of our clothes. I was taking our towels outdoors and hanging them from our clothesline and hosing them off until they were freer of suds. Finally, I called a repairman and was informed to use only 1 to 1/2 teaspoon of soap, but I still have to use a lot of water to get our laundry somewhat soap free. Our water usage has gone up over a 1,000 gallons a month.Things went along for a while, until I started noticing small shards of a foreign material stuck in our towels or in our pockets. I was baffled as to where these little hard pieces were coming from, and about that time, the washer was starting to make a strange noise during the spin cycle. I called the repairman again and we discovered that the drum was rubbing against the fiberglass liner. Those small shards in our laundry were coming from the washer tearing itself apart.I agreed that this particular washer was to be replaced. I wanted my money back minus the months of usage, but was told that was not an option. Finally, in the later part of November 2011, 6 months after our initial purchase, we received a replacement machine from LG. All was fine for a while, until the bleach dispenser stopped emptying completely. So, I called the repairman again and we received a new dispenser. Well, that one did not work any better and another repairman determined that there was a problem with the control panel and the washer drum needed to be replaced, because it was not in balance. It has been less than one year since we made our original washing machine purchase and it has been one problem after another. The fact that this type of machine does not properly rinse laundry and requires a lot of extra water to do so, is irritating. I always have to stay alert because the machine goes out of balance a lot and I have to leave the wet laundry and try to get the machine going again. In my opinion, this machine is poorly designed and will never work properly. Life is not good at LG, and well never purchase another one of their products.

I also purchased an LG LFX31925ST Refrigerator and after 3 1/2 years worth of use it broke down. I spent over 5 months going back and forth with LG on fixing it, had numerous repair visits, where they tried to fixed the compressor and sealed systems. In the end they offered my 1200$ for a buyback on the fridge but I have to buy another LG refrigerator. There is no way that I want to give LG any more of my money after what I just went through. 1200$ doesnt come anywhere close to covering the cost of a new refrigerator. Just so everyone knows they replaced the some of the tubing that used to be copper with regular metal tubing that sits in a water reservoir. This attaches to the compressor and after a couple of years it rusts and you lose all of the freon in the fridge. I cant tell you how many 1F and FF errors that I keep getting on the Fridge. LG customer service is terrible. They dont give any power to do anything. After dealing with them for almost 2 months a started a countdown on my Twitter feed to see how long it would take to get it fixed. I started go over my problems in the middle of July. We are now in Jan. Right now I am contemplating on whether I want to use the 1200 that LG is giving me or not. LG is the worst.

LGR4113ST - I love how this oven bakes/roasts at such an even temperature. However, the front knobs turn much too easily (they only need to be pushed in maybe 1-2mm). I called after I inadvertently turned the gas on, while reaching for a spice, to see if there was a retrofit, but was told no. My kids late teens/early 20s have all accidentally turned the knobs on the range, and Ive come home no less than three occasions to my home reeking of propane. On 3/5/16 while cooking a potato in my microwave, the unit started on fire. The microwave shut off and I needed to wait for the fire to burn out before opening the door. It was obvious the unit was irreparable. I contacted LG Customer Service in 3/7/16. At first, they tried to tell me I was to blame. Misuse of an appliance because I placed the potato on a paper towel. The manual states a paper towel, paper napkin, paper plate are ALL acceptable. The CSR refused to believe me until she read it herself. Finally, she agreed I was NOT at fault and told me someone would be in touch with me within the next 10 business days. I uploaded photos of the damage as requested. 10 days later a rep from LG Property and Liability contacted me. Please upload more photos, which I did. Was there any other damage? No. Any loss of life due to the fire? No. Okay, well theres nothing I can do. Youll have to go back to Customer Service. Now Im back to where I started again facing questions about misuse because of the paper towel. I was advised I would need to pay for an LG technician to come to my house to determine if it was repairable or a total loss. I didnt think I should be expected to pay for the technician since I already knew its a total loss and the photos support that. I asked for a manager. Theresa got on the line and told me the same thing except she said I would need the microwave receipt to show the technician. I explained this microwave along with a refrigerator and stove were purchased by the former homeowner just prior to my purchasing the home 3 years ago, so I did not have the receipt. Well, there is NOTHING I can do for you. Youre not the original owner. So after their appliance starts a fire, and 3 weeks of answering their questions, uploading photos, waiting for their assistance, I was advised Im on my own. They will do nothing for me.

Purchased an LG refrigerator from Best Buy 2 years ago. Refrigerator stopped working a week and a half ago. LG ran a diagnostic over the phone and determined the compressor went out. LG has a 10 year warranty on their compressors (along with the warranty we purchased) but refused to fix the refrigerator if we didnt pay $298 for a service call and compressor replacement. Despite our push back because of the warranty, LG stated thats how it works and continued to refuse service without up front payment. We regrettably paid the money last week. LG has since then given us the runaround. Customer service and customer resolution is awful. They offer no resolution and not only made it our responsibility to call repair companies from a list they gave us but lied to us twice telling us that each of the repairmen who showed up would have the compressor and fix our refrigerator. So now LG has our money and we are continuing to keep our daughters milk in an ice chest while we have a broken refrigerator. I cannot express in enough detail how horrible LGs customer service is. I am in total shock. Ive never dealt with a more incompetent company than LG. #neverpurchaseagain

I contacted LG again and was told there was nothing they could do, and I should buy a new microwave at my own cost. I purchased this microwave because of the advertised warranty. I purchased an LG refrigerator, double oven, dishwasher, cooktop, and built-in microwave from Home Depot in September 2010 (Along with all new cabinets, total spending was $30K; LG appliance spending was $5k.) After six months, the icemaker stopped producing ice; we called LG, and they replaced the icemaker promptly and at no additional cost. Six months later, the ice cube production started to slow; another six months passed, and ice production stopped. We called LG who directed us to an authorized service provider. The service provider came to the house, checked a few items, lowered the temperature, and turned off the energy saver button. I was charged $127.00. A month later, the service provider came back because the problem wasnt resolved and installed a new icemaker and circuit board. Problem is still not resolved. I called LG to make them aware of the continued failures of the service provider, and they set up a service call for me with their guy. Turns out, he wasnt their guy, and he wanted another $60.00. The problem had not been resolved, and I refused to pay. So, I called LG again while their guy was here (5th call in 2 months). I was once again told by LG it wasnt their problem, that I needed to pay the new service provider, and if I had any continued problems, contact either service provider (neither of which seems to be able to resolve the problem) and deal with them. Replaced 1 1/2 year old compressor - I have been venting my frustration about our LG, 1 1/2 year, old side by side refrigerator (Model #LSXS262386S). We purchased this refrigerator at Lowes in June, 2015 for $1,622.60. I thought I did my research on buying this new appliance. Early January, 2017 I knew something was wrong with the freezer, so I transferred the freezer compartment contents to our 30-year old Kenmore freezer in the garage. We called support and did a smart diagnosis and talked to someone and were told that it seems that the freezer door has just been opened and closed too many times. I moved the freezer contents from the 30-year old freezer back into the 1 1/2 year old LG. A week later, the freezer completely stopped freezing. We called support again. We did get repair here that day. (I was afraid to ask why.) The repairman commented that he didnt like to work on LG refrigerators. The compressor needed to be ordered. 6 days later, the compressor was installed (25 minutes). We were charged $540.00 for labor. I guess, in this world, if we get a good appliance, we should consider ourselves lucky. If you get a bad one, good luck with the results. Its just a shame.

Our LG bottom freezers ice machine works sporadically. It was not cooling properly, so we called our extended warranty representative. A technician was sent. He said he couldnt fix it, left and we heard nothing from him or the company. We called the warranty company again and they apologized, sent another companys technician, said he found what was wrong but had to order parts. This means we had up to a week to receive the part. In the meantime, we had to throw away all the food in the fridge and freezer. We were partially reimbursed for food loss (around $300.00 for food). It hardly covers the food replacement plus the times we had to eat out as a family because we had no place for perishable items. The parts finally arrived (motherboard and defroster). There was an error made in the part ordered and we were told that they would have to order the correct one (it was part of the defroster system). I was told that in the meantime, we should turn the unit off at night and turn it back on in the morning until the part arrived. YOURE KIDDING ME! I said. He was very serious. This technician was abrasive and spent more time defending himself, and had little empathy for our circumstance. It was especially frustrating for me because I had to stay behind to wait for the technician while my family left for a 2-day family trip. The part arrived and it was installed. Within a week, the fridge would not cool again and the ice maker stopped working. We had to schedule another technician to come look at it. It took several days. The food went bad and we had to get rid of everything once more (and more eating out!). The next technician, different company, looked at it and said the compressor was broken and that we had a freon leak. Said he couldnt do much because an LG technician had to look at it to verify, plus he did not have the parts and may have to be ordered. This means that the LG technician may show up, check to see what is wrong and THEN order more parts. Im looking at another two weeks before anything happens. All this has happened over the last month and a half (since early May). The fridge is only 1.5 years old. Weve been talking to the service company all this time and they keep saying they are sorry, but they have to go through their procedures. They cant seem to realize how uncomfortable it is as a family to go without a refrigerator. I called LG and they asked me to have the warranty company call them so they can find a resolution. Im so sure. How am I supposed to get them to call? I have not called the store where I bought it from - Hope Depot. Maybe I should and start looking at a small claims court. Ive never done it though. All I can say is that the product is inferior and customer service has been unsympathetic and incapable of fixing our refrigerator. Theyve probably spent more money sending us technicians and probably should have replaced from the start. Needless to say, we are very unhappy at this point.

LG HE takes less time to dry clothes. Uses less hot water. I like the front-loading washer and dryer better than top-loading ones. They were somewhat on the expensive side, but worth it. LG has an innovative motor that will last longer because theres less motion involved. I like the pedestals as well. Ive had absolutely NO problems with either the washer or the dryer, and no missing socks! Mine are full-size side-by-side units. There are many cycle options for each: water temperature for wash and rinse, type of material, intensity of spin cycle; the dryer allows for both timed and sensor drying.

This is a great refrigerator....when it works. The compressor went out in year 4. This year, year 5, error Code Er Rf appears. Ice built up around the evaporator and blocked the fan so the fan burned out and the refrigerator did not cool. Serviceman shows up but did not have the part so we had to wait another week for repair. After the repair, a new error code, r dH which involves the defrost cycle came up a week later. Likely what caused the fan to go out the first time. I called LG for service and was told I would be called back to schedule service in 2 days. This is day 6 and no call. This is a very expensive refrigerator and well worth it....if it works. Extremely poor customer service for repairs.

Purchased an LG fridge model LFX29945ST from our local Home Depot. Weve had this fridge for almost 2 yrs now but we have had a number of issues after the first year of owning this POS. First issue is the annoying high pitch noise that comes from the compressor at times. Called Tech support and was told that our Fridge was not leveled and was most likely the cause of the issue. Our fridge is perfectly leveled and our house is only 2 yrs old with a perfectly leveled floor. Second issue is the lower freezer door will not close all the way at times due to ice building up on the tracks for the Freezer Door not allowing the door to seal the Freezer completely. I occasionally have to chip the ice away so the freezer door will close all the way so our food does not thaw out in the freezer. The last and final issue that weve had with this fridge, is at the bottom of the control panel next to the water and ice dispenser one day just started discoloring and peeling and now our fridge looks worse than our previous fridge that was 6 yrs old. I expected better quality for the price and wish I never bought this Fridge at all. DO NOT BUY!!

My husband removed the plastic covering and the light bulbs. The light bulbs were extremely hot to touch. The white plastic casing above the lights bulbs were dark brown. I called LG the same morning and they will replace the burnt unit and cover the repair cost. There will be no charge to myself.

We are doing a kitchen remodel, I purchased an LG refrigerator (dented), oven, and microwave. The microwave also had a dent so J.C. Penney discounted it. We installed it and the door scrapes horribly when it opens and closes. We called J.C. Penney whose automated service directed us to LG tech support, after about 1.5 hrs phone time they set a service call. The service tech arrived and determined the unit was irreparable, structural damage. I called LG for follow up, the operator couldnt figure out the notes, I had him read them back to me and stopped him where it stated, not repairable. I had to send pictures and a copy of the receipt that were already sent by the repair tech. After multiple hours on the phone I finally got a CNN number For a defective return. They said they will call me to arrange delivery.A week goes by and nothing. I called back and spoke with Alexander, he re-reviewed, Sorry, nothing we can do. I escalated to his supervisor, Willie who made it clear that I was bothering him and stated, I will not cover anything on this unit, go back to J.C. Penney. Now the unit is not heating correctly, waiting for the repair tech again. What a BAD!, experience. I will NEVER! buy another LG product.

Purchase LG refrigerator in 2015, now fridge has Stop working due to failed/defective compressor. Fridge stop cooling, not working since 9.14.2020. Their customer service confirm that this problem is pre-known by LG. (Defective compressor), since they were having lots of issue with same. This compressor is under warranty. (10 years) Repair date received was 9.18.2020, with us paying for cost of repairs. However, on 9.18.2020 LGs technician further diagnosed and confirm that compressor was bad/defective, and the reason why fridge was Not cooling/working. He said that he would replace same, thus fixing the problem. We felt relief and happy; however after replacing compressor, saying he was done and we thought, Wow! Finally, this is the end, imagine our dilemma and surprise when he Casually said- Oh! the main board is NOT working and you have to pay additional charges and service fee to replace!! Plus I dont have the part- I have to come back-next week. The fridge Will Not work without it. - Panic mode set in and crying took over.We are broken!! We had beside suffering undue, stress, also suffering physical health issues, since refrigerated medications were loss-cause by this broken appliance. In addition to the loss of food, deterioration of health, mental stress, were still left with a broken fridge. After spending so much on an appliance (said to last 20 years, right?!). Speaking with LG customer service we feel that LG shows lack of concern to all our issues. HELP!! Can anyone at LG please end this suffering. Plus we now question this replacement of main board- why was this not said on initial diagnosis, before he initiated repair of compressor??Plus we are being charge for all this. Not Fair!! Not Right!! Feel abused! At this point we just wish this fridge gone, gone and LG refund our cost price. We want to get back to our normal life, Please. PLEASE!! Can anyone from LG managerial staff address this? Anyone with POSITIVE Answers/results. Is customer satisfaction a priority? (Then why are we treated this way?) HELP!! Have always been a fan of LG, but now???.

I dont write reviews but this company is terrible even the authorized repairman will tell you to find a different brand. I bought the bottom freezer fridge five years ago. Since then Ive had the ice maker break which is $200. A repairman out twice to fix other fridge related problems and now the compressor blew. The parts are covered but labor is $500. The worst customer service ever. Im chatting with them online and they provide three service companies that are authorized LG repair guys are use, one of them to come out and diagnose my room refrigerator. Once they tell me the problem I call LG to see if its covered under warranty. I purchased a new warranty through LG to find out that its nothing is covered. My recommendations do NOT buy this refrigerator and if you do buy all warranties. At the end of the day Im over $800 into this refrigerator on top of the initial purchase price. Not acceptable. And by the way the LG technical support when you call isnt some Third World country and they dont understand half of the things youre telling them.

I purchased a bottom freezer from Home Depot, model # LFX25971SB/1. I purchased it in 2008, replaced 3 ice makers - 1 every year. The latest one works when it feels like it. Within the first year, we were contacted by LG and was advised that they had to replace the computer. We found out that the energy rating was faulty. The company was ordered to replace computers and we would receive checks every year at approximately $14 based on the extra energy usage, but the check received was only $7.The unit runs very hot and the technician had no answer as to why. Under the bottom freezer drawer, we constantly have water that leaks because something in the unit is not evaporating water. We get thick layers of ice under the drawer which causes the drawer to not open and close properly. The technician doesnt know what is causing the evaporator not to work properly. The vegetable and cold cut drawers freeze foods all the time, and now we dont put anything in those drawers. The technician still has no answer for us. Home Depot gave us a tool to use but the handles on the doors and the freezer drawers kept falling off. I just spoke with LG and they said that we should get a new ice maker. He told me to get a new service company from a warranty company. We paid over $2000 for this piece of junk. I would never buy another LG product again.

When I bought my washer, I was told I had to leave the door open to keep it from molding and smelling. I thought that was very odd, but it is correct. Even leaving the door open between loads, I still have a musty moldy odor that lingers on our clothing. I use the correct detergent and clean the washer like directed by the instruction manual. I hate this machine.

I bought a LG washer model number WT507OCW from Lowes Jan 2014. A few days ago I tried to use it, pushed the power button, made a clicking noise and shut down. I called Lowes. They would not do anything so I called LG because the washer is still under warranty. After about an hour they set me up with a company in my area to fix it and told me to call them. I called and they refused to come out and repair the washer. I called LG back and told them what happened. LG said they will call me back within 3 days. On the 4th day without a call back, I called LG again. They tried to set me up with the same people who have already refused to repair the washer. When I told them that they again told me I would be called back in 3 days, I told them that was not acceptable and to replace the washer. LG has refused to honor the warranty. I ended up calling a repair service and paying for the repairs myself and LG refusing to reimburse me for the repairs. DO NOT BUY LG.

WE bought an LG fridge about 3 years ago. It was pretty expensive so I assumed I would get quite a bit of life out of it. Well the compressor just went out and while looking up warranty it looks like my model only has a 1 year parts warranty. Had I known that I would have probably not bought LG. It looks like the compressor is almost 300 dollars and who knows how much the labor is going to cost. Im may be better off just buying a new fridge. I bought my LG appliances not quite 3 years ago. I did my whole kitchen, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer. They were very expensive. I thought I was buying the best. I bought them from HH Gregg. First mistake. They went out of business shortly after. I never received pedestals for washer and dryer, they owed me $150 back but of course I never saw that. The appliances are junk. Microwave is convection but has burn marks on side from first use. Dishwasher wheels fell off right away. Getting dishes in and out almost impossible unless I get halfway in it. I rarely use it because its a pain. My refrigerator compressor went out the beginning of June 2019. LG uses a company called A&E for repairs. When I called them they told me they only had one technician in my area. I finally got my refrigerator fixed today. September 11, 2019. The compressor was fixed 2 weeks ago but the day after it was fixed the icemaker went. I went without a refrigerator for two months and without ice for over 3 months. I have had to buy bagged ice for 3 months.I finally had enough with A&E and the rudeness I dealt with there. I refused them to do the repairs. LG said they got someone else to do the repairs, only thing is they never called him to set up for repairs to be done. Not once but twice. Thankfully I had his number and he made time to fix the refrigerator. His company is called Umbrella appliance repair and his name is Said. Not sure of last name. He is from Williamsburg VA. I would recommend him and give him the highest respect. He came even though they didnt call him like they said not once but twice, they had me wait all day and he didnt even know he was supposed to be here to do repairs. He worked until after 8 p.m.My husband passed away 3 yrs. ago, the person that took my info got it wrong and somehow when they sent the parts to my house, parts I didnt know were coming, came in my dead husbands name. Can you imagine getting a pkg. on your front steps with your deceased spouses information on it. Also during all of this mess my mother passed away. I had family coming in from all over the country and no refrigerator to keep food and no way to make ice. I had people here from Wisconsin, California and Pennsylvania. This has been a nightmare I wouldnt wish on anyone. Over 2 months without a refrigerator 3 months without my icemaker. LG should be ashamed. I would never recommend them to anyone and I promise I will never buy LG products again. The worst customer service ever, from LG and A & E repair services. Debbie **

On October 21st, our LG Model LMXS30776S/00 Refrigerator that was less than 2 years old stopped working. When I called LG Consumer Relations at 800-243-000 they took down our information. They then discussed their LG Premium Care Service Plan with us and provided us two options to get our fridge fixed. Option # 1, $450, Option # 2 $350. Option # 1 covers you for 1 year and the Option # 2 is for 3 months. We go with Option # 2. It is supposed to cover the labor and because the compressor broke that is covered by warranty by LG for 10 years from date of purchase. They set us up with one service repair company in our city, then call us a few days later to say they assigned it to another service repair company in our city. Turns out the second one is the only authorized LG repair in our city. They schedule an appointment, the earliest date, November 14th.On 11/14 the owner comes out and says the compressor is broke and the seal system has been contaminated and he will need 6 parts to fix this. On 11/15 the repair place calls me and says the LG warranty department will not authorize the fridge to be fixed. They are going to get another repair place to come fix it. On 11/16 after not hearing from the warranty division of LG (which is outsourced), I call them. It took 34 minutes before someone answered. They explain to me and say the repair company told us they cannot fix the fridge. I say that is a total lie. The guy then paused. I said I have spoken with them multiple times and they told me you would not authorize them to repair it because you now do not want to pay the labor cost. So LG sells us on the warranty program, but then when they find out the labor cost almost 3 weeks later, they refuse to pay it and tell us we will reimburse the $350 to you.So not only did our less than 2 year old fridge break, they do not honor their warranty programs that they sell to the consumer. I was transferred back to LG Customer Care and waited on hold 45 minutes. I never spoke to anyone again. I tried calling on 11/17 and they say wait times are too long, call back. I then proceed to do a live chat. They push me back to their 800. Long story short, DO NOT buy LG. However, you have to be careful, because LG makes refrigerators for Kenmore and others that are sold in Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears to name a few.LG does not stand behind their products. One local repair place in my city said they dropped LG because LG did not honor the warranties. They said do not buy LG and Samsung Appliances. So our options are to buy a new fridge, or pay someone over $800 to repair our less than 2 year old LG refrigerator. So, we paid $2900 for the LG fridge and now it will cost an additional $800 to get it fixed or we have to spend in the $1,000s to get a new one. I have never in 40 + years experienced such bad customer service with a product. I will never buy anything that LG makes or has made for another company. They do not stand behind their products. Their customer care representatives are terrible. Thanks LG. You lost a customer and hope many more after they read this for life.

Woke up to a non-functioning fridge/freezer on Saturday 07/11/20, tried going through all the steps I found to check it out before calling in to LGs customer service to report a non-functioning unit. I had to remove everything from the unit and find places to put it or throw away good food. My experience with LG customer service was great, they took my info and sent the info out to the 3rd party warranty service company. This is where it goes downhill.@ Your Service (3rd party company) sent me a text on 07/13/20 that they have scheduled me for 07/24/20!!!! I sent a text back that I need service sooner than that since my unit is down. I got a reply that they will contact me when an earlier appointment is available. Here it is 07/20/20 and I still have a broken fridge/freezer. I have had to go out and buy a new mini-fridge in the mean time. Why does LG allow this 3rd party service company to keep doing this? Look up their reviews and see just how bad their customer service is. I will update when @ Your Service finally shows up and hopefully fixes my expensive side by side refrigerator. In August 2011, I bought an LG top load washer (WT5001CW) at Sears as well as a dryer for a total price of $1,850. Less than one year later, the lid on the washer locked. When the technician opened up the top panel, I noticed that the metal was scorched - like in fire. The entire board had to be replaced. Ive also noticed a foul smell ever since Ive had the washer. Recently, I was notified of a recall due to some balancing problem. I was also sent a sticker advising me not to wash or spin any item known to be waterproof or water resistant, even if the label on the item permits machine washing. I was under the impression this warning would only be in effect until the recall problem was taken care of. Oh no, the technician who came out made sure he told me never to wash things like bathmats or mattress covers that may have rubber/vinyl backing. I asked what am I to do since bathmats for one thing need frequent washing. He told me, Lady, go to the laundromat. Im 75 years old on a fixed income and the money I paid for these appliances was hard to come by. Ive had many different washing machines in my lifetime, but never encountered anything like this.
