Used the self cleaning feature on the oven (3 hrs)! When completed, the inside was blistered and black! Mfg warranty sent technician out, who took video and spoke with executive technical support, who walked him through troubleshooting! The on premise technician was told by the executive technician to have me call customer service, which I immediately did! Spoke with nice lady, ** in Alabama who advised me she needed to find out why the ex. Technician didnt resolve the problem. I asked to speak with Manager, she said 35 of them are in a meeting! But she would call back today! Waiting!

LG Refrigerator Compressor Model # LFX31945ST/02 - We bought our refrigerator in February 2014. It was discounted almost half off to $1851.30 and we had another 10% off coupon (plus they automatically added the 3 year warranty that was another $90). I asked what was wrong with it, why it was discounted so much and I was told it had been a loaner fridge while someone elses was repaired. I snatched it up thinking I was getting a great deal for our new house. There were things that didnt seem right like the door never seemed to seal tight and the light would work then go out then work and so on, but nothing major just little quirks. Then in July 2017 we got up one morning to find that everything was hot in both fridge and freezer. So I contacted LG. I knew that my extended warranty had run out 5 months earlier, but I was told that the compressor was still under warranty along with a few other parts. They could only find 2 places that would work on LG and both were an hour plus away. So I contacted one who right off the bat told me LG was notorious for their compressors going bad. They came out to diagnose a bad compressor $91 and had to get authorization for parts. Meanwhile he informed me that he had 6 more LGs he had to get to with you guessed it BAD COMPRESSORS. Some of them going bad in the first 6 months. After the parts came in he came out replaced it for another $288.90. I asked him would this last longer than the 3 years that I got out of the first one and he told me they would not guarantee anything. He recommended that I sell it as fast as possible. Imagine how I felt. That was last Tuesday 8-15-17. Today is 8-22-17 and it has yet to cool or freeze properly. We have had 2 gallons of milk go bad because it is too warm and my ice maker hasnt worked yet because it has to reach 15 Celsius before it will make ice. We bought bagged ice and it melts a puddle underneath it because it is too warm. I called the technician back who of course feels bad but is not surprised. I spent an hour on the phone with LG this morning, and they tried to get me to call another technician out. I refused told them they better make this right. She told me they would replace the compressor, I told her they would also pay the labor that I was not paying another dime. I just paid it last week and I am not paying it again. She told me the technicians work was guaranteed. I informed her that he told me they would not guarantee it and that they recommended I sell it. She then told me we would reset the freezer by opening the door and slamming it 4 times in a row. What a joke. She told me not to open it for 6 hours and she would call me back then. So I am waiting and furious that we have now lost food twice because LG has an inferior product and refuses to fix it. The technician is scheduled to come back Saturday and is expecting me to pay if LG does not. I will update after my phone call this afternoon. I recommend you stay away from LG refrigerators.

I purchased LG Dryer from Home Depots stackable option package, yet when service needed on dryer, LG stated that I needed to unstack. Their representatives installed when we purchased, why would I need to unstack. What you pay for is not what you get from the LG product or from the LG Company. They should stand behind what they sell. I wish I had never ever purchased this product. To anyone considering purchasing, I hope youll look at the reviews. Do not buy and do not waste your money or time on this product. Look elsewhere for a quality product. I have purchased many items from Home Depot. They need to reconsider offering the LG product in their store. Reputation of products sold by Home Depot is important to customers like myself. Sure its a LG product, but I bought it from Home Depot. Who gets the bad reputation? They both do, LG and Home Depot.

Bought LGs top end fridge in 2011. Had multiple issues with ice maker working, compressor within the first year. The LG technician ruined our wood floor and left dents all over it, which LG has paid for refinishing. Weve put up with not having enough ice from the beginning. BUT, this past weekend the ice maker quit, then the rest of the fridge stopped working. Had to throw out tons of food. This was on a Saturday night, 7/20. We bought an extended warranty. Weve gone through the proper channels and the contracted repair company cannot come to look at the fridge until 7/30. I have to wait 10 days for service and be without a refrigerator. That is unacceptable! Shame on LG for charging huge fees for crappy products. Shame on Nebraska Furniture Mart for selling extended contracts to sub par repair companies that treat a warranty like a welfare recipient. Shame on Mega Performance, the extended warranty provider and shame on Mr. Appliance in Overland Park, KS. Today is 7/22 and we are trying to figure out a plan and get this resolved, quickly. Customer service is lacking horribly in this country. People need to step up and be accountable and do the right thing.

I purchased a $6,000.00 worth of LG appliances approximately one and a half years ago from Sears. The microwave oven (Model: 2085ST) now needs a replacement door panel not covered by the warranty. The microwave has had minimal usage (average use of once a week which equates to 60 uses). Upon attempting to resolve the problem using the LG customer service line, I was referred to a local service center which did not even work on LG appliances. Additionally, I was placed on hold twice and had to repeat my issue twice to rude employees. The quality of the appliance and the customer service is so poor. Evidently, the company has no responsibility to stand behind their products. I will strongly advise everyone I know to never purchase LG products.

Purchased a top of the line LG Linear something or other. Not going to lie. It’s beautiful. We get lots of compliments on it but just over 3 years old and it stopped making ice. Now it’s not freezing and the fridge part is not cooling enough. Milk keeps going bad. Customer service is full of it. They know what’s wrong with their product and they keep asking you to check for leaks and to reset it. They gave me 3 contacts in my area to have it checked. First contact “we don’t work on refrigerators.” I think they mean just LG refrigerators. Second one never called me back despite multiple messages left and the 3rd one, number disconnected.I finally called someone else with years of experience and he said, Check out LG online and you’ll see what that what I’m telling you is common with LG. Type of compressor is great. Saves you about 100 dollars a year on electricity if you don’t mind paying 1000 dollars to “maybe” fix it. Yes he said, Maybe LG will give you a new compressor but labor will run you about 1000.00 and I will not warranty my work for more than 3 months because it’s common for them to break down again within a year. I’m just going to buy a new one but not an LG. He highly recommended Frigidaire. Cheaper. No frills. Not very fancy but they last a long time.

Ive already posted my complaint on this site, but I forgot to mention that I had to pay to have the door hinge replaced because it had corroded due to bleach spilling onto it, the only bleach I use is when I am using the Tub Clean cycle to attempt to remove the stink and slime. I have never spilled the bleach so the dispenser must leak. I believe the cause of the leaking might be due to the LG repairman puncturing the bleach compartment because I was having problems with bleach remaining in the chamber after the wash cycle and then bleaching clothing in the next wash load (dark clothing). Biggest mistake I have ever made in appliance purchase.

We bought an LG oven (model LRG4115) this summer (2018) and we can’t believe this oven is still on the market. It is so dangerous. We have brushed up numerous times against the knobs and the gas comes on automatically without us even knowing it. Luckily we have remained in the house afterward and smelled the gas so we were able to shut it off before something major happened. The knobs turn so easily and the gas comes on so quickly, unlike most other gas ranges that take several seconds before the fire lights up. We haven’t contacted LG yet but that is our next step. I want this oven out of my house before something horrible happens!

LG is making it very difficult for me to get anything done. My top loader has rust all around the bleach cup and the underside or seam where top meets the bottom panels. I see other people have this issue too!! I have never in all my life seen a washing machine get rust like this. Not to mention there was a recall on it with a Do Not Sell order attached that I was never informed about. I feel they should either take the machine back and replace or refund our money!!! I am waiting on a response after sending pictures and a proof of purchase to them via email. I registered the machine when I bought it, so they would have my info, yet I still have to prove to them I bought it!!! Go figure???!!!

The LG dishwasher model number LDP6797ST is the worst dishwasher I have ever had! It does not get anything clean. Ive had to buy $10 booster powder and it still doesnt get the dishes clean. Now, I cant get it set for anything. It stops mid cycle & Dings at me for no reason. It will run back 6 minutes and then it stops and starts dinging again. I cant figure out why its dinging and what it wants. The manual is entirely too technical for me to understand or to mess with. Ive been washing dishes in the sink by hand! This dishwasher was in this house when I bought it and Ill make sure I never do that again. First chance I get its out. I would give it a zero stars if that were an option. I hate this dishwasher.

I broke the container, trying to dislodge it from the door. So, I bought a new one and experienced the same freezing up problem from week one. I would not even consider buying this product, and it left me with a bad taste for the retailer (hhgreg). Can I rate it 1/2 star?

This washer has many bad issues. I purchased it 1 year ago. Most annoying is the soap dispenser rarely works. Sometimes it doesnt dispense other times it dispenses only a little and lately only when the cycles done and I open the door it dispenses. The drying cycle never ever has dried the dishes. Water puddles on top of glassware and bowls constantly. I always have to dry the dishes. The adjustable racks are most annoying, as they dont stay where you adjust them and I spend too much time bent down adjusting them as they collapse again. The filter that you have to remove and clean all the time is a pain. This overprice dishwasher was the biggest mistake. It has turned me sour on LG appliances as I purchased a LG fridge at the same time, which is a whole other complaint. Stay away from LG!

We purchased an LG fridge from Home Depot on the 19th of January 2011. This fridge went hot and destroyed most of our food on July 13th, 2011. I called LG and they ended up getting a technician out to the house that afternoon. LG said the issue was the control board, but the tech thought there was more. He ordered a compressor as well. Home Depot gave us a fridge to use in the mean time. They returned to fix this on the 26th of July. The panel didnt solve the issue so the tech went to install the compressor and found there was no freon in the system. LG didnt believe this was the problem after two days of waiting, so the tech had to come back on Friday on the 29th of July to install an evaporator with UV chemical in it. The fridge had a bunch of freon on the charge side indicating a blockage somewhere in the system. We had to run the fridge for all weekend and then late Monday, came back to find it still was not cooling or working. LG, at this time, said they may replace it. After a bunch of calls to LG and getting nowhere, we finally are being told they will replace it. This is another 7-10 business days with no fridge and no results. LG informed us that they will NOT pay for destroyed food. I would not purchase another LG product. We have 4 other LG products in our house not including this fridge. The customer service sucks and response times are unacceptable.

When I registered a complain on 2nd June, they send one stupid technician Mr ** who showed us the water drainage and took away Rs 590 as a service charge of LG which is quite high. Later when we realized that the problem is not solved, we tried calling the customer care so many times in last 6 days but they just note down your complain and tell you that someone will visit again. Finally they gave me a contact of local Hyderabad service center Mr ** (Mr **) number who is another bluff master. LG are highly irresponsible people. Our LG LRBN22514ST refrigerator works fine, but the handles on the refrigerator AND the freezer have broken off! The handles are fine, but LG uses PLASTIC mountings that give out over time - really poor choice! Why not use metal mounts and charge a dollar or two more? I bought a LG fridge in 2009. Within the first year, there was a recall on some part in the freezer which they did replace. Now, it is 2012 and I have had to have this fridge fixed 3 times at my own cost which cost me over $100 each time. My repairman says the problem is with the drain plug, a problem which LG is fully aware of. The hole around it rusts and the paint chips peel and plug up the drain, which in turn causes water in the freezer and on the floor. The fridge goes warm and the cool air cant get there. I just redid my kitchen floor the same year that I bought the fridge and the leaks are starting to cause warps in the flooring. I am so angry with this company for being able to sell such a shabby product and not having to be held accountable. I will never buy another any LG product on the market. This company is a disgrace!

Like Nate of Duarte, CA wrote on March 26, 2014 -- by end of 2006 purchased LG LFC25760ST. Had the same issue with the light fixture housing in the refrigerator compartment header, not once but twice. My photos look exactly like his. Last service they replaced the entire electronic board and installed a new light fixture housing also recommending use of lower watt (40 watt) bulbs. This occurred Aug. 2012. At the time I stated I was concerned about possible impact whatever lies above the refrigerator header (refrigerant tubes?). It appeared the plastic header was melted completely through in at least 3 locations. Now I have refrigerant smell in the refrigerator. Service call is tomorrow, so well see what happens but suspect cost to address what I believe are issues with the refrigerant system may be so exorbitant that it may be more prudent to replace after a bit over 8 years than to repair. I dont understand how this fire hazard can be so prevalent for so many years and nothing appears to have been done. If there is a class action suit, I will gladly participate, as this refrigerator is in my opinion, a fire hazard at the very least.

We purchased our LG Refrigerator on 04/25/2017 and we were excited to have the French doors, added space and the two freezer doors. Our previous refrigerator (GE) is still running strong and is well over 10 years old and has had no problems. Less than 3 years of owning our LG, the freezer can no longer reach 32 degrees and the temperature in the refrigerator is 40+ and the ice maker no longer makes ice. It’s disappointing that a refrigerator less than three years old, cost $2,000 and conveniently just recently became too old for warranty coverage is now breaking down. We are currently looking at repair options and have heard it’s likely the compressor and that fix could cost $1000. We will see. I am happy though that we are fortunate to still have our GE refrigerator running strong. Disappointed in the quality and durability of our LG refrigerator. I expected more.

I purchased my LG dishwasher (Model LDF7774SD) in May 2016. It is less than a year old. Starting in February 2017, the dishwasher started having issues. The soap tablet compartment does not dispense the soap tablet, leaving the dishes as dirty as when they were loaded. I have tried liquid as well and after the cycle is finished and you open the door it is running down the inside of the door. LG sent a serviceman to repair the dishwasher twice, and it is still not operating. He replaced the motor as well as some other parts. I have placed nine calls to their customer support center, with no resolution. They keep stating they are sorry for the inconvenience, but refuse to replace the unit.Today May 21, 2017, I contacted them again, since I have not heard from them. First I was directed to their customer service in the Philippines then to their operation in the Bahamas and then to their support center in Costa Rica and back to the Philippines. You can barely understand the representatives. They are more concerned with updating their system notes than correcting the problem and providing good customer service. I asked to speak to their engineering or quality control department, but was told they have no way to contact them, and could not provide a phone number. In addition to the soap not dispensing, dishes fall over when going through the cycle, as the tines are spaced too far apart. Many of the glasses after they fall over, fill with water, and surprise when you open the door... water everywhere. When I spoke to a customer service supervisor, and asked him what I should do until/if they repair or replace the unit, he said I guess you will need to wash them by hand. I have never dealt with a company like this before. I will be submitting a complaint with the BBB. Forget about contacting the number listed on the web, for the North American Corporate office. You cant reach anyone. If you try to leave a message, it states the voicemail is full. I will never buy another appliance from LG. (Life is Good) NOT! If I could give them a negative rating I would. You would be very wise to stay away from this company. Why any retail store would carry their line of appliances is beyond me.

We purchased an LG front load washer at Home Depot. Only after it was installed could we, and did we, learn that it vibrates incredibly loud on a firm modern floor regardless of the load and balance, and due to its very high spin speed. Home Depot and LG refuse to exchange it for a top loader. A Home Depot representative admitted that they intentionally do not mention that problem to potential purchasers. LG does not even respond to our many forms of contact. They both claim that the machine is working as designed, which can only mean that the design is defective. In our opinion, no one should purchase an LG front loader washer. We have had to resort to ridiculous and only partially successful steps to dampen the vibration and noise, such as cramming pool noodles around the washer (see attached photo).

I purchased a WT5070CW a year ago. This has to be the worst washing machine I have EVER owned. Every load gets off balance. When it gets unbalanced the machine stops. When you adjust the clothes and restart it will get off balance again. It has taken me a full day to wash one load of clothes. Today it took three hours to do one load. If you have a small load (a couple of towels) it takes six or seven tries to get the load done. I dont think it is possible to keep this machine balanced. I paid a lot more for this machine than I planned on spending and am VERY disappointed. I have found several other complaints about the same machine and the same problem. I think this model should be recalled.

I purchased an LG washer and dryer several years ago. I absolutely hate them, but they cost a small fortune, so I am not ready to buy new ones. Here are my complaints: my clothes never get cleaned; it doesnt use enough water to get them cleaned! They always have a mildew smell. Now my detergent draw will not open. It is stuck for about a month, but it would eventually open. From all the complaints I have been reading, why has the Better Business Bureau (BBB) not gotten involved? My sister bought an LG refrigerator, and she also had multiple problems with it! I will not be buying another LG product!

We were building a new house and were looking for appliance packages. We really liked the appliance package and LG refrigerator because it had this cute little window in the door. It was a good price as well, and we liked the refrigerators features. The little window in the door is my favorite. The refrigerator has French doors and I can open just that part, like a little window door, of the top door and keep stuff in there. We had some issues, though, with the water dispenser on the front of it. The repairman called it a continuous water feature. It wouldn’t shut off when you press your water on it. It kept going on with water or ice until you locked it. So we had to have it repaired probably within the first month we had the refrigerator. But since then, it has worked fine. I’m pretty happy with my LG refrigerator.

Bought top of the line LG WM8000HVA. Returned after 1 day. It has a design flaw and creates water hammer which will eventually stress and break pipes in the wall. Water pressure in spec but they wanted me to adjust pressure... dumb. They wanted me to buy a bandaid (line conditioner) which sometimes worked. See Google for quite an education. Expect to see 10 years from now major lawsuit from an AG when peoples walls are leaking from abused plumbing. Stay away from this washer. Bad design that they are ignoring.

LG LRE6383ST Stove - Do not buy this unit. The oven part has a major design flaw and does not cook food properly. Anything that gets baked is cooked up top and raw in the middle. LG has sent out 2 technicians and both times could not find a problem with the unit but acknowledged that it was not cooking food properly. Obviously a design flaw. We have wasted hundreds of dollars on food. After 3 months of getting the run around including escalating the case at LG and making numerous calls we just decided to give up and purchase something else. This will be our last LG product purchase ever. Horrible customer service. Buyer beware.

Our story starts with a happy purchase of an LG Refrigerator (LGXS24623) at Home Depot in September 2018 that was supposed to arrive in about 6 weeks. It never got to us, we called Home Depot to inquire and they said, “Oh sorry, it’s lost, we’ll see what we can do, it will take another couple of weeks”. Long story short, we received our fancy new fridge. We connected, set it up and after about 4 hours we opened the door and it wasn’t cold. We changed the temperature a bit and waited a bit more, but nothing changed. It was warmer in the fridge than in the kitchen. Time to call LG… Long phone call, more waiting, nothing, fridge still warm. It was a useless service, they were not able to help. Called LG again in the morning, on Sunday. They booked a server technician for Thursday or Friday which meant 5 more days with no fridge. They also asked for some paperwork which we scanned and sent the same night. Thursday, I receive a voicemail from the technician that he has no paperwork from LG and he’s tentatively setting up a visit for Saturday afternoon. Called LG, had more discussions on the phone, they promised to give an answer in the same day… I did not hear from them again. On Friday I finally managed to get in touch with the technician, who promised to come Saturday between 3-5. He finally showed up at 5:45, I guess they are very busy fixing LG’s faulty fridges, to tell us the compressor is dead and left to order a new compressor. We will not be ordering from LG in the future, the fridge reviews are good, I cannot tell you anything about that since mine never worked, but the LG service is the worst you can find. They never saw a problem in letting a customer live without a fridge for weeks, one service agent had the audacity to tell us he grew up without a fridge… I wonder if this is in their protocol.

It was a beautiful range in the store however, once it was in my home, the hell began. I purchased the LRE3075 stainless steel convection range at the Boynton Beach Home Depot on November 12, 2009 and got the extended warranty.Eight months in, the front large burner melted then began melting the underside of the cook top. I got it replaced under LG warranty. Another 6 months in, the same thing happened again, only this time the burner was on and could not be turned off. I had to plug the range out for it to go off. The top and the circuit board were replaced. On February 12, 2012, the same exact burner came on by itself destroying dinner. The saving grace was the smoke detector. Once again, the control panel did not respond. I had to turn of the breaker to the stove.Even after the stove cooled down and the breaker was turned on, the control panel did not respond. I am totally scared for my familys safety with this stove. It finally responded after several attempts. I have to turn off the breaker after each use just as a precaution. What about the warranty, you ask? Talk about the royal runaround. LG denies there is a problem with the stove and wont replace the it. Home Depot wont take it back since LG should be the one who covers it.The extended warranty company will only replace the circuit board but the glass top is at LG s discretion. Today is March 15, 2012 and the stove still has not been repaired as yet even with the extended warranty. The LG dishwasher purchased at the same time has had the motor replaced because it burnt out. I would not recommend any LG product my worst enemy. I will be purchasing new stove ASAP. Needless to say, it will not be LG.

I purchased a LG refrigerator from Abt Electronics in 12/15. Less than 8 months, the ice maker was not working. The manufacturer came out, ordered the part and had it delivered to my house the next day. He returned to install it. Then less than 18 months after purchasing the new refrigerator, it started making a strange noise. The next morning, there was water in it.Called LG and was told the warranty was up since it was over a year old to call Abt and use my extended warranty service. Called Abt, they diagnosed the problem as it needing a new condenser! Had to wait on the part. Returned a week later installed the condenser. Later the same day, the panel on the doorways showing an error code and the ice maker or water dispenser wouldnt work nor was it cooling in the refrigerator but the freezer was working. Used my extended service warranty again, had to wait a week to get the part and reschedule another service call. They came out to install the fan.I have now had all three major parts on this less than 1.5 year old LG refrigerator. What else can go wrong now? Thank goodness I had an old 30 year old refrigerator in my garage to use as a backup! Wouldnt ever buy an LG refrigerators again. Hoping this last five years! My earlier refrigerator lasted 22 years with no repairs. I just bought a new one since I had my kitchen remodeled!

No one works on them hardly, read below... Not good experience... On 1/16/2018 my refrigerator stopped cooling & freezing. (Linear Compressor Unit), Model LFXS24623S, purchased for (note, compressor under 10 year warranty). My problems started in in mid-January 2018. I made the call to LG. There is a very good chance that the refrigerator has a compressor issue based on the symptoms per tech support. Tech support provided me with (4) certified LG service companies to call to schedule a service visit. Out of the four companies none of them would take the job. One was out of range, two did not work on the linear compressors and the other was not working with LG at this time.Summary of the long story: Calls to LG tech support were in excess of 15 and multiple to the service companies. Issues: every call to tech support I had to repeat the entire explanation of what happened, seems that the support group does not read all of the CNN# notes. Frustrating time after time. I had to tell the LG support group who could not work on my unit, who already came, who was out of range, etc… Support does not have direct contact with the LG certified companies to get direct feedback to the consumer (me). Support works with your service contract company to place a work order, consumer is not involved. Caused confusion many times. Many delays with parts coming from LG for first service call, caused many delays. Received (3) case numbers **. Should only have one to have all of the notes/history under one case number? Received (2) RNN numbers **. Received (1) APN number **. 3/15/2018 a certified LG service company (Broadway Sales) final took the job from 1 ½ hours away. After review the LC internal compressor unit has a hole that in “not” repairable. Broadway reported back to LG. Another call to LG for a follow up, LG informed me due to the severity they had to have a second certified company verify the issue. Keep in (8) weeks have passed. One – LG barely found a company to service the unit, Second- (8) weeks has passed. Still not fixed working on (12) weeks... 4/4/2018.

DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHING MACHINE!! Upon installation, our brand new top of the line front loading washing machine, LG Model # WM3470HWA, exhibited extreme water hammer noise, which resonated through our entire 2,700 sq ft home, immediately after the sensing cycle and during the filling cycle. LG Phone Tech Support recommended that our plumbing contractor (a master plumber), install water hammer arrestors (3 sets were eventually installed, in between visits from the LG 3rd party and Factory Rep). We also reduced the water pressure, even though the existing pressure setting was well within LG tolerances. he third party service rep, during a call w/ Tech Support at LG was told that the water hammer noise is intrinsic to the machines operation. In the end, after going to the very highest level of Customer Support at LG, they refused to address the problem, or stand behind the product in any way. The result... we are stuck with a inferior, defective washing machine. If you go to other blogs, you will see that this problem is quite common with LG washing machines.

This is a follow-up to a review written on January 22, 2013 regarding my LG washer. I did hear back from the resolutions department at LG who extended a prorated offer for my unrepairable washer. Whereas I feel the offer is fair, it is a year late in coming! The offer will allow me to purchase another machine. Trust me, it wont be another LG despite their good ratings on various websites. I am still out the hundreds of dollars in labor costs, plus the cost of having my clothes laundered at a local dry cleaners. As I said in my remarks on the 22nd, I do consider myself a pretty savvy shopper by checking both company and customer reviews. But this time was way off the mark. I hope and pray that my next choice in a washer, this time a front loader by Electrolux, is a wiser decision and that I wont be on a first name basis with my local repairman for a long, long time!

This expensive appliance is a total waste of my money. Thought I was buying top-of-the-line washer, so spent a bit more. My laundry comes out with obvious dirty marks on it, which must be mold being slung onto the fabric. I dont have confidence that anything is really clean. I have had black streaks on white slacks, sheets, blouses, etc. It is disgusting. I have to hand-wash these marks out the best I can; dont always come clean. Have also thrown out 2 full sets of towels due to looking so nasty & dingy. They do NOT come clean. Also have had problems with the balance, where the machine will not spin out the water with 7 minutes left in the cycle. It keeps adding more water, trying to weigh the load, but cannot spin. Wind up having to pull dripping wet clothes out, finish rinsing the best I can in the bathtub, try to hand-wring these heavy items, and let the dryer run way too hard to dry them. Dont ever buy an LG front-load washing machine. Got this in January 2010; it was manufactured 11/10/2009. It is a piece of JUNK!

They gave me a case number and approval number?? for no charge to fix its parts. Repairman they sent just looked at the model and serial numbers and said these cant be fix. He said LG has a lawsuit against them because they cant be repaired. He left and was to call us back. No call ever came from him. Called LG back. Told Richard (same person I spoke with the first time). He again said as before no repair person in our local area. He will notify their scheduling department again. So excited to renovate kitchen. Never had LG appliance but heard great things so invested in ALL LG appliances: French door fridge, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. Fridge: Linear compressor went out at 9 months. 20 phone calls and runaround before I could get LG to agree to service. Now, 6 months later, FF and E code seemingly freezer fan motor is defective. LG service tells me to unplug it for 8 hours and let it defrost all over My hardwood floors and “just put down towels.” And... If that doesn’t work, you need a new motor. BTW: The fridge to the floor is about 1/2 inch so no room for a towel.Gas’s range: Buyer beware. The knobs to light the stove will ignite if you lean on them and then slight turn. People with small kids are taking the knobs off. That is how easy it is to ignite the stove. Just last night my guest almost caught her sleeve on fire from leaning on a knob when talking to another friend. This stove needs recalled. I have tried but fell to deaf ears. Someone is going to be seriously burned, just a matter of time.Stove: Front started rusting 3 months after I got it. Of course they claimed user error. At that time only had used it about 10 times. Inside looked liked it had never been used. Got some of it off but still can see it. Washer: If you don’t clean the rubber gasket EVERY time you use the washer, water will run out the front. So far, knock on wood, love the dishwasher, microwave and dryer.Have had many defective things before and the difference is the service; standing behind products, great customer service, no hassle. That’s what keeps my business. I understand not everything is perfect, but take care of it and you will keep my business. LG FAILS in ALL OF THE ABOVE. Try to get ahold of them and when you finally do, it turns into us vs. them. Sooo disappointed and sick to my stomach knowing I now have another fail code on my fridge to deal with. I’m going back to Samsung. Much better quality and service.

Purchased a highly rated LG refrigerator in 2011 with a 10 year warranty on the compressor. 8 years to the day, the compressor died. Compressor is under warranty, but other parts & labor are my expense. When the repairman went to install the replacement compressor sent from LG he found it was not the same. In fact it was very different. LG Parts dept said it was compatible & should work. The repairman, who has 30 + years experience, told us that the refrigerator would need rewiring & even then there was no guarantee it would work. He estimated his labor time to be 4 hours. Further discussion with LG brought no other resolution. Bottom line, they do not have the compressor for older models. They could have offered to put the labor under warranty but they did not. Their final word was that someone on their end (from the parts dept) would instruct the repairman how to install the compressor. We know this repairman for over 20 years. He is very honest & very good. He said trying to install the compressor sent, as is would be a fire hazard. His recommendation is to save our money on the labor cost & put it to a new refrigerator. NOT LG. Another comment: I had little choice in 2011 when I went to buy a refrigerator the size I wanted. The bottom freezer was the style. I hate it for many reasons. You cant put boxes in without them jamming; even ice cream containers. I freeze meat & chicken in air tight bags in order to fit more in. I am now looking for a top freezer instead.

In November 2011, we purchased an LG Microwave (Model LMV1813SB). It lost power a month later and had to be serviced by LG. It went out again a week later. An LG service person came out and worked on it again, but due to the LG policy, would not replace it until after four service calls. We had the issue again in March and April and finally they are replacing it. My complaint is the extremely poor policy and customer service that LG has. They would rather have the customer go through the time and effort of not having a microwave, making numerous phone calls to LG and scheduling time to have the microwave fixed. This is such horrible customer service. The time and effort we have had to go through to replace the microwave is more than what the microwave is worth. Here is the icing on the cake. LG has shipped our new microwave but told us that the one year warranty does not include removal and installation. I had to argue to get them to reimburse me for this. I will never buy another LG product based on this horrible customer service experience!

Steam washer Model #WM2688 - My son gave me an LG Tromm washer and dryer set for a Mother’s Day/Birthday present in 2008 and I was thrilled! In the beginning it was so quiet I wasnt sure it was running! About 6 months ago I noticed it was getting a bit noisier. Then it suddenly started rocking during the spin cycle. My husband checked it for level and it was perfect. We manually changed the spin cycle to Medium in hopes it would no rock during the spin cycle. It got progressively louder as time went on. I want to add that there are only two of us and we do 4-5 loads of laundry per week. This machine was not working hard for us. It finally began making a different sound and was getting even louder. I called for a repairman. He tried out a couple of cycles and said, Your bearings are going out. I asked if that was normal, for a 7 yr. old washer and he said, “I see it all the time. Sometimes at 5 yrs. and sometimes at 10 yrs. When I asked what it would cost to repair he said he would write out an estimate for me. When he handed it to me I thought hed made a mistake. $829.22! Its a $900.00 machine new! He then said he wanted to look and see if anything was under warranted. The stainless steel drum had a lifetime warranty so my bill dropped to $531.20. What kind of a company sells a machine that much to repair? Repairman told me that he sees this all the time and rarely does anyone pay to have them fixed. I dont consider a $900.00 washing machine exactly a throwaway! I am thoroughly disgusted with a company that continues to build a product with a known problem leaving its consumers to pay for it! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT. I will also make sure that no one that I know doesnt either.

I bought a brand new dishwasher & after installation from the first wash it displayed error codes. Called LG customer service several times. Finally they sent a repairman out who said the motor was seized. The dishwasher literally has run 2 times - the third time we got the LG error code which is a problem with the motor. LG wants to repair a dishwasher which has never worked. I tried to explain to them that I was not comfortable with that but their policy is they will not replace a unit until it has 4 major repairs in 1 year. I told them this was broken from the factory. They said there was nothing they could do but repair it. So far we have been without a dishwasher for almost two weeks. I am apparently going to have to either pay to have someone take it out, return it & buy another dishwasher (which LG cust service told me was a good idea) or do that myself with no compensation from LG. I even told them I have an LG phone and LG big screen tv but I will not buy LG again if they dont fix this & they didnt seem to care.

I purchased an LG front load washer about 6 months ago from Sears. It began leaking from the bottom within 3 months of purchase. I called LG and after 5 hours of run around through their customer service. Customer service reps are all from India or Philippines. They have no idea what you are saying. They email you videos to watch on how to clean your machine. Finally after I lost my temper they set up an appointment for a tech to come out. We will see what happens. This leak is substantial and has caused major water damage and possibly mold to the walls and floor. Has destroyed the item stored within 6 feet of the washer. I would have called sooner but instead I thought the pipes in my walls or slab leak. After turning the water off to my home I discovered it was my brand new washing machine.

One morning 18 months after purchase while trying to make lunches and manage the usual morning routines of all work of families with kids, found all food soft or going soft in freezer!! Food in fridge was cool but not usual cold. Temp readings still said 0 for freezer and 37 for fridge... I called dealer who sold it to us, of course, Not his problem. Called LG who initially insisted I had a smart diagnosis feature which I did not, another 20 min wasted, finally a repairman comes over. Spends 10 min and tells us it will be almost $400 to fix for a new fan and compressor???? What??? I just bought this thing!! LG, you must be kidding me... not buying into your company anymore. I bought an LG ThinQ side by side in March of 2021 and July 2021 the compressor no longer works. It is not making ice nor dispensing water, the bottom half of the fridge freezes as well as the bottom of the freezer. I have been waiting patiently for the fridge to be repaired but when they came to repair it he explained that he would have to take the entire back off which will release all kinds of fumes into the air which could make us sick. Seeing as though we only had the fridge for 4 months we felt LG should replace it or return the money we spent for it or at least replace the money I have lost in groceries. Needless to say I am still without a refrigerator a month later, they claim my fridge was fixed 2 weeks ago and the tech came this past Saturday, my food was spoiled (after I spent 600 in food 3 days prior) and I have had to spend money daily to feed my family. LG is terrible to work with and needless to say their product is too. They sold me a lemon and now I am stuck with it and I have to purchase a new fridge. Thank you, LG for absolutely nothing!!!!

10 year motor warranty is useless to me/read the fine print. I have an expensive top load direct drive LG washer that was 3 years old when the machine broke. I called LG and they gave me the name of a company to do a diagnostic. That company came out and determined that the motor shaft was broken. The tech estimated that it would cost close to $900 to fix. (Could buy a new washer for that) Thinking that being absurd, I called LG back and they told me that the part was covered but not the labor. The labor is covered for only a YEAR.They further told me that the guy that they recommended price was way too high. They gave me another number and I called that number only to find out that the company will only service items underparts and labor! Heres the ridiculous part. I cant find anyone willing to do a service call when just the part is under warranty. So after 3 years with an expensive washer it is looking like my only choice is to buy a new washer. LG has been of zero help. I will NEVER buy another LG washer again. It is a total joke dealing with their unknowledgeable customer service.

We purchased this oven in February 2016 years ago and it stopped working properly several months ago. Now the oven temperature does not get hot enough even when raising higher than the normal range. We cant bake anything properly with it because at best, it takes twice as long. Also, this oven has never been easy to clean as advertised. We have found that we have to work just as hard as we did with our older models, and with chemicals to get it clean. It has been a discouraging experience to have purchased a model that was a supposed upgrade only to have it not working in less than 2.5 years. I bought the machine two months ago and noticed my white clothing was coming out gray. I changed the soap and the settings (chose hot and heavily soiled), and it’s the same thing. I opened the machine during the wash cycle, and the water was consistently cold while the water in the sink by the machine is very hot. The technician from the store where I purchased the machine came out and found it working correctly; however, he also agreed that the water would not get hot. I called LG and discovered that the CW in the model number stands for cold water. In other words, this machine is designed to use lukewarm or cold water. That’s strange! I thought hot water was helpful in the washing process. I am now doing battle to exchange this ridiculously designed machine for one that will actually clean my clothing, and I wont give up until I have a replacement. After reading so many one star reviews, Im now concerned this dishwasher may break at any moment. Ive had no issues and have used it almost daily for about one and one-half years. I guess Im fortunate because this was given to me by a family member who was moving into a new home and remodeling the kitchen with all new appliances (installed it myself). LG inverter direct drive. Ive always used Finish cubes.

It is finicky, hard to start, hard to remove and clean the filter. Frequently stops in the cycle, and has a top bar made of silver plastic that split at a seam. When I called for the warranty coverage, I was told 4 weeks for a repair man. It is a poor warranty (I live in a major city) and badly designed dishwasher. Stick with a more reliable brand with more accessible repair people. After 2 years, I am replacing it.

I purchased the front loader LG laundry and gas dryer DLG2702V from Home Depot. I also purchased the 4-year extended warranty. Both worked fine for almost two years now. Two weeks ago the dryer destroyed a load of shirts, my office shirts probably a $300 replacement cost. When I opened the door a strong smell of burned electric wires come out. The shirts are full of holes, as if burned at random, and the steel drum is covered in a grey-colored film.

I bought this refrigerator for about $2100 and so far it did cost me $1185 for repairs because as it turn out the parts were covered but not the labor. Model Lfxs30766d Manufactured October 2015 - failed compressor 3 times in 2019. The first repair lasted 4 days, the second repair lasted 6 days. The authorized technician told us this happens all the time with this type of LG fridge. There is no way we are going through the repair charade one more time. Holidays are here and all we have is a mini fridge. Weve wasted many hours dealing with the previous repairs and clean up (the technician is only available during workdays so Ive had to miss work four times so far). Weve also thrown hundreds of dollars of good food away. The water that dripped and pooled from the ice maker three times has warped and damaged our newly refinished hardwood kitchen floor. LG should stop selling these fridges - in fact shouldnt even give these away. At a minimum, we want LG to pay us for a new equivalent (non LG) fridge and for repair of our hardwood floors.

But that repair failed and after 9 weeks without a fridge I am now FURIOUS! I get back from a weekend away and find that now the freezer has failed and my floor is flooded and all my food ruined. The repair guy is on his way. But last time it took two months for the board to arrive. If it is anything else that needs replacing then that is another two months... absolutely PATHETIC PRODUCT AND PATHETIC BACK UP. As you can tell... In January, 15, 2015 had purchased three door refrigerator and the complaint is still pending. The reason the LG mira road service centre is ruthless and useless and just want to mint money from the customer by delaying to give service during warranty period and once the warranty period is over, they are free to mint money from the customer. The deep freezer is getting choked with ice and we could see the ice growing like mountain at middle of the deep freezer. The complaint falls to deaf ear and the mail falls to blind eye. No response from the LG service centre, cause they are just waiting when the one year expiry is getting over and when we can mint money.Secondly had purchased LG 10.5 kg washing machine and the dryer is giving problem. The clothes are not fully dried as compared to other brand and the customer service provider informs saying thoda to gila rahega, then how come other brand machine resolves the problem fully and the clothes are dried fully. Not ready to listen about other brand product. Cause it hurts their ego. Almost wasted 67000/- and feel I have been cheated by giving a defective item both end. and the worst part after messaging the senior guy ASM ** he too acts as deaf and blind. So one can understand how junior will react to the customer. Seriously upset with the product and wasted my hard earned money. Dont know whether I have purchased a LG product or a LOW Grade Product. Bought the top-loading Inverter Direct Drive about 3 years ago. This is the biggest POS appliance we have ever owned! Washer gets unbalanced with almost every load - no matter how small or large. It takes a LONG time to wash any load. The display may say that its a 52-minute load. Thats ONLY if you monitor it getting unbalanced or shutting off completely. It mostly gets unbalanced at 34 minutes remaining and at 11 minutes remaining. Unless you use the bulky setting, you get next to NO water in the tub. And the very WORST PART is that it has RUINED countless shirts, pants, and shorts. It will put dark, short streaks (stains) ON YOUR CLOTHES THAT YOU CANNOT GET OUT. We have washed the Maxine-stained items up to six times using a wide variety of stain removers and NOTHING works. We wound up throwing items away after this machine stained them. Now we turn everything inside out. We hope to be moving soon and will GLADLY leave this machine behind. What a HORRIBLE appliance!!!

We purchased our refrigerator a little over three years ago. The compressor just went. We lost everything in both the fridge and the freezer. All the ice in the ice maker melted and leaked all over the floor. I called the LG number found the manual. I was on hold for over 30 minutes. The refrigerator “specialist” asked me find the model number and serial number. The place he told me to look was incorrect. He became impatient with me and told me he could only give me three minutes. Three minutes... I found the information (not where he told me to look) and he then gave me the names and numbers of two local appliance repair businesses. When I called one of the numbers I was asked for a PIN # from LG. Apparently the “specialist” was supposed to have given me one because the fridge parts are still under warranty. Now I had to find the receipt for when we purchased the refrigerator. This all happened two days before we were leaving for vacation. So obviously the refrigerator won’t be fixed until after we get back. I’m extremely disappointed with this LG product. I can’t imagine ever buying another LG product. We purchased a $1,000 LG washing machine in October 2011. We had always bought Kenmore, but the salesperson said that LG was a great company with good products. So we made the purchase. When the machine was delivered I had noticed on the interior rim that the paint (porcelain?) finish was not smooth in a couple of places about the size of a quarter - this would be directly under the spray head and another area a few inches from the spray head. The delivery person didnt seem to think this was an issue. About 2 years later I noticed that the area directly under the spray head was turning brown, but I didnt think twice about it because at the time I didnt realize this round piece of plastic was a spray head. Well today when I was wiping down the interior of the machine 2 places the size of a pencil eraser came off exposing the metal of the machine. So I called LG to find out what could be done. The first person asked me to upload them and photo, which I did. She told me this was rust and LG would not do anything as this is considered cosmetic. Im like REALLY, this machine is less than 4 years old and rusting. Yup that was the answer. Not good enough for me. So I had purchased an extended warranty - warranty only covered moving parts but they gave me some advice. They told me, in their opinion, this was poor workmanship/defective product and LG should be responsible. So I called LG back and this time I spoke to a head supervisor, of course this was after I had to go through the whole issue with another service rep, just like it was my first call. This woman was so rude, kept cutting me off when I was talking and could not have cared less so I asked that I speak to her supervisor. I asked 3 times to talk to her supervisor and she told me that they do not handle this type of issue and NO I could not talk to them. She repeatedly kept cutting me off saying she would give me phone numbers for some companies to come and make the repair. I am ready for a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT but not sure how to get in touch with those of you that indicated you want to do the same.

LG model no. WT4870CW dropped off this morning brand new. After delivery, delivery guy set up and did the programmed test run. This checks if water is supplied, if it vibrates excessively or drains. All looked fine until I did a small load of laundry which came out unclean. Then on second try, I noticed tub basin filled up all the way to the top and agitator didnt work properly. I even made comment that it was so quiet...well when agitator is not doing its job, its super quiet. After trying different cycles and settings and after motor started to smell like it was burning rubber, I called home depot. The sales man gave me a lesson in how much detergent to put in, reasons why clothes arent getting clean, and told me to unplug it, wait 3 minutes, then try again. After explaining Im 30 and know how to do laundry, I explained again about water filling up in wash cycle and agitator not working. He said he would call LG and have a new one out to us IN A WEEK. After already waiting a week and half for first new washer, still blows my mind when a sales person does not apologize for the inconvenience or broken machine THEY sold.Im under no impression LG will stop making worthless machines for a ton of money, but listen up all the peeps in customer service, KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY. SAY YOURE SORRY. DONT MAKE EXCUSES OR GET DEFENSIVE. Does the machine not working say something about you? Or is it your ego that needs to blame the customer by default? Some customers are rude but others are just like you trying to do their best to figure out a solution to the small and big obstacles they face. If you cant at least say sorry or be respectful...think about finding another job that fits you better. LG fail and Home Depot fail. Pretty disappointed.

Back in 2012, I purchased $8000 worth of LG appliances for my kitchen and laundry. Long story short I have replaced the dishwasher, it could not be repaired. In September of this year, the microwave exhaust had a mind of its own. It would come on and off by itself. To use the it I would plug it in and unplug it. The part to repair it was more than half the price of a new one. In September I purchased the model LMH2235ST. A short time later the exhaust fan stopped working. I called customer service more than a dozen times. They gave me a case number and said they will call when to set up a date to come and repair. After many calls to them they kept saying they would expedite it. I have heard that several times more. I have asked them to send another to my home with a return label, but they said they could not do that. I purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher and gas range for my new home that I moved in to in 2019. Close to 5000$. Of course they are all out of warranty now and during Christmas of 2021 pieces of enamel was being found in my food I was baking in the oven. Needless to say this has to be a manufacturers defect because nothing I have done would warrant chips of enamel falling off. I called they said, Nope its out of warranty. Even with the fact that we could have consumed some of the enamel they do NOT care. Even the man that I called about checking it out said LG was hard to work with. I am hoping to get this resolved soon being I can not use my oven for fear of consuming enamel. We had problems with our first LG, and finally got our money back. We went to Tate Appliance Center in Tampa, FL where we explained what happened and told it was probably a bad unit. Liking the range, we repurchased another and again bought the $2,500 5-year insurance. Were informed that Tate would replace anything that was wrong, including total replacement. Within the first year, the range top glass started to crack. We called LG that the front burner would turn off automatically, beep or stay on. The technician said LG would not replace it unless it was from the electrical units. Then it cracked across the whole top, which the technician said it needed to be replaced. Lo and behold, LG recalled 161,000 units, but ours was corrected. Now we have cracking from the back control panel. Tate said we had to call their insurance company, but we first offered to have them refund our money and we would buy a 4-piece stainless steel GE package, but they refused. The insurance company said the cracking is not covered since it is cosmetic! We fear what will happen next, but we will never buy LG nor from Tate Appliance Center ever again. Consumers BEWARE!

I purchased LG front load machine in June 2012, since then I am very unhappy and not at all satisfied with the cleaning of the machine. I have many LG products at my home and had no bad experience with any of them but since the day I purchased the front load LG machine, I regret the decision of buying LG product. In the span of 2 years of purchase of machine, I have called customer services on several occasions for help and few of your technician have visited my place as well. I did whatever was advised to me by your technicians, I am still not satisfied with the cleaning and the machine functioning. My sister and mother are using the same model of machine and they are highly satisfied but when they came to my place and washed clothes in my machine, even they found a problem in my machine cleaning which your technicians are unable to find. I feel as if I have been sold a LG product with false promises which is classified as mis-selling. I think customer satisfaction should be the priority of every brand rather than selling products. I, as a customer, feel as if I have been cheated. I need my machine to be replaced or else I will make sure to take this matter further. Thanks.

Have to make sure it is closed and yet I have no grand kids in our home that since we have none. So really is this bad luck or bad product? No lie if I had to do it all do over Kenmore. Can someone help me with this. And yes I did buy the EXTRA WARRANTY. So whats next?
