MY EXPERIENCE HAD BEEN HORRIBLE! HERES WHAT HAS HAPPENED. Called hhgregg where I purchased refrigerator in March 2016. Leak started August 2016. The phone menu automatically routed my call to LG Customer Service. They said they dont repair damage to home but will repair refrigerator. They made an appointment to send an LG technician in two days. I had to call a water damage company in the meantime because water had leaked through the wall into a hallway and a bedroom. Water was under tiles and was squishing in the carpet. The LG technician finally came. The refrigerator was moved from its niche in kitchen. The technician discovered the problem. He said it was a defective valve in the ice maker. He said theyre (LG) going to hate this but its on us (LG). Called customer service again. Customer service representative, finally agreed to give us a claim number and gave us a number for Product Liability. I kept calling that number but no one ever answered and no one returned my calls. I finally got another number from customer service rep. Bottom line is the estimate to repair and restore is around $6225. They said they will pay $4224. I cannot get my home repaired for that amount. My refrigerator is still sitting in the middle of the breakfast area and the ice maker cannot be hooked until the repairs are made to my house. The defective refrigerator caused all the damage and LG should pay the full cost of the restoration. The Product Liability department has been very disrespectful and rude to me, a customer who purchased one of their products. Does anyone know who I should call at LG to resolve this issue.

This is a review of the LG customer service experience for a repair of an LFXS29626S French Door refrigerator. We woke up Christmas morning to find the 3yr old refrigerator was no longer cooling at all. Reviewing the warranty showed that the sealed system was still covered, so I placed a call to LG customer service. While the customer service phone rep was quite friendly/understanding and professional, thats where the enjoyable experience ended. Net-net is that after 4 months and 5 separate repair visits from 2 separate 3rd party repair shops, many phone calls, much lost time and spoiled food, the unit is still not functioning as expected. The unit was cooling properly after the 4th visit, but now the unit sounded like a leaf blower all the time. The final fix was more of a hack that only partially addressed the noise issue, but they say that it falls within spec tolerance.I called LG and requested escalation. Upon speaking to the escalation manager, I requested that they replace the unit since it was not actually fixed. She was very firm that the company had a process that must be followed and that they would not replace the unit. They offered a minimal reimbursement for the spoiled food, which would nowhere near cover all that we had lost. Either way, we have not received any reimbursement. At this point were going to put the unit in the garage and purchase another refrigerator - something other than LG. The thing that the company (especially the escalation manager) didnt seem to grasp was the concept of total customer value. Not only will this experience keep me from buying LG refrigerators in the future, but since they also sell everything from washers/dryers, to TVs, to cell phones, I will look elsewhere for many products. The marginal cost for them to simply replace the refrigerator would probably have been around $600, but instead they likely spent more than twice that on parts and 3rd party repair services. When you add that to the future lost revenue it was simply a bad business decision that could have been properly remedied in order to keep an affluent customer.

LG Washer Model #WT5101HV - I paid $1,184.22 to HOME DEPOT for a terrible product. Just after the warranty ran out, the machine started to leak. The repairman has been here several times but cant find the leak. This leak is ruining my floor. Also if you try to wash 2 towels and 2 sheets together, it practically bounces across the floor. I wrote the head of LG for Canada, William Cho, but have not had any reply. Obviously customer service is not a priority for the President of LG Canada. HOME DEPOT, PLEASE STOP CARRYING LG PRODUCTS.

This is the first step on my mission to educate my friends before anyone buys a new dishwasher. Do Not buy LG brand dishwasher. If you do, do yourself a favor and buy the extended warranty, you will need it. I started having an issue right after mine went out of warranty. I paid for one repair, about $150, and that didnt fix the problem. Then I had a different repair person come out, factory authorized mind you, and he replaced some parts. He was here 3 times for another $350 and the problem persisted. I didnt bother to call him back, just thought I could live with the noise that was coming out because the machine was cleaning my dishes just fine. However, last night the same error code that started the whole thing happened again. So today I called to speak to LG Consumer services. I once again got the runaround, with the technician telling me I had to perform something on the machine and see if it worked. I gave him hell and reminded him how much I spent on the high end dishwasher and how much I have spent in repairs already and I think its BS to expect the consumer to do anything to try and fix it. The first time I called, he had me running around looking for screwdrivers so I could level a dishwasher that didnt need leveling! So, I told him I wouldnt do what he wanted me to and I didnt expect to have to pay for yet another service call for this crappy machine. I wanted to speak to his supervisor. When she got on the phone, I went through the whole thing again and of course the parts that were replaced are now not under warranty, so the only thing they could do is suggest I call the repairman again and have him call them to assist in figuring out what the problem. Of course I would need to pay for all of this, since there is no warranty left. I told the supervisor that I dont think that I will. I will go and buy a different dishwasher of another brand before I put more good money after bad. I have already spent more than half in repairs on what I paid for the stupid thing in the first place.

I bought a LG Refrigerator 2 years ago with the bottom freezer..About 6 months ago it started making weird noises and the ice maker went out 2 months ago..Today the whole fridge went out...I read the reviews today that go back years with the same problems..My question is, Why is LG allowed to continue to sell this faulty appliance? I paid over $1,000 for my fridge and now am forced to use my 20 year old fridge again and Im out $1,000!!!!!!!!!! How is this even legal?

If you look at my original review of 10/3/19 and the companys final reply of 10/8/19 it appeared that LG intended to do nothing more than leave us holding the bag as it were. However, without further contacting us at all, LG contacted a nearby service center and sent a new door to them and arranged for our door to be replaced AT LGS EXPENSE. The service man said the old door was going to the dump, so I guess LG didnt need to trust but verify that it was a warranty issue after all. They finally decided to do the right thing. Our refrigerator again looks the way it should, but we should not have had to jump through so many hoops to get this corrected. I stand by my original review. I will not purchase LG in the future.

In summary we have bought LG Fridge and the first time it malfunction in less than 5 years the formal support in Egypt came. They took the malfunction electronic card but never showed up again for more than 3 months and left us with unfunctional fridge. Last week they returned it unfixed to tell us that we have a piece of scrap metal in our home that cannot be fixed by its own company!!! It is a total failure to be unable to fix your own products in less than 5 years for the first time it malfunction. I am searching for a lawyer to sue them.

My 83 year old mother purchased an LG refrigerator about 2 years ago. She’s on a fixed income, so this was a significant purchase for her. I advised her to purchase the extended warranty for peace of mind in case something happened. What a joke. The refrigerator stopped cooling—freezer too. We called the repair number on her extended warranty & were told that the soonest they could get a repair technician out was over 9 days away. Well, not ideal, but we figured we could figure out how to make it work. The tech called to confirm the appointment & informed us he had ordered a new compressor to be shipped to her house because “they go out all the time.” Wow. That inspires confidence in the product. The repair day came and went without a tech showing up. When we called to inquire why the no-show & were rudely told that we were supposed to call when we received the parts. Well we saved the voicemail from the tech and there was NO mention of calling when the parts arrived. So they rescheduled the appointment, and again, the soonest available was a week away. The appointment was supposed to be from 1-5. We confirmed this for the 3 days leading up to the appointment. Yes, they assured us, the tech will be there between 1&5. Guess what? Again, no tech, it’s a Friday and the office closed at 5, so no help.Fed up, I called a local repair company. They were able to schedule an appointment for Monday morning. So I call LG to see if they will at least cover the labor for the repair. I’m told that because I didn’t use their “approved” vendor that they won’t cover the repair. Seriously? Clearly the LG refrigerators have a known issue with the compressor going out, but unless you use their “approved” vendor, you are out of luck. After over 7 hours of calls to LG customer service I was finally able to get ahold of the Executive team. Supposedly the approved vendor will be out tomorrow between 1&5. Yeah, heard that before. Fingers crossed they actually show up this time. One way or another, I will NEVER purchase an LG ANYTHING and I will advise EVERYONE I know to do the same. Worst customer service EVER.

December 15 - I took delivery the LG gas range, opened it as the delivery truck was leaving (they did not install it) and I noticed the interior glass was not seated properly and had a small crack. The delivery truck had just pulled away, so sending it back at that moment wasnt an obvious option. I immediately called Home Depot, who gave me the LG customer service number. In my first call to LG, they immediately offered me a compensation check to have a repairman fix it. I agreed to this. Then LG transferred me to their parts and repair dept. The person in parts and repair said it couldnt be repaired, because it was not installed yet, even though it is just the oven door. At this point LG customer service number was closed for the day.December 16 - I called Home Depot service back first to get help. They personally called LG and had a ticket created in the LG system for replacement instead. They said in about three days I would get a call to schedule the new range delivery. December 21 - I hadnt heard from LG yet, so I called them. They said a manager there had cancelled my replacement ticket without calling me to let me know(!), because I had been issued a damages check, and I could no longer get a replacement. I explained that LG Parts and Service told me I could not have it repaired, because it wasnt installed. LG said they would send an independent technician out and they would decide whether it can be repaired without installation. December 26 - Technician is no call, no show.December 27 - Technician comes out, tells me LG will probably just issue a replacement, he has to submit a claim. He will call me in about 3 hours with an answer. I dont know what this means for the damages check they were going to issue? December 29 - I start calling the repair company back for an answer. I talk to someone there 1-2 times a day thereafter, each time they say they dont have an answer, but will in a few hours. January 5 - I give up, the appliance repair service isnt calling me back. I call LG, say I dont think a claim was ever submitted on the oven door. The notes in the system at LG now seem to indicate I was in the process of a replacement, rather than repair? NOW, three weeks later, they say a replacement *can* be done (I am not confident I will receive the damages check anyhow). I am fed up, I tell them I want that damages check at this point, so they will have to find another company to repair it.They transferred me to LG parts and service. I asked parts and service if they can simply send me a new oven door, and I will send the old door back? There are two metal clips that hold the door on, you just flip them up and slide it out, I believe its designed this way so you can take the door off to clean it. They will not let me handle this. I am given the name and number for a new repair company, and told they will be in contact with me ASAP. The new repair company hasnt contacted me yet, and isnt answering their phone right now. Both repair companies have very low ratings online, complaints through the BBB as well - though with something this simple, I dont really care - as long as they can repair it quickly. That doesnt appear to be a possibility. The LG repair and service escalated my request, which was supposed to lead to a callback from an executive team within 48 hours. They never called back.January 8 - The Twitter account for LG helps me in a direct message, which was more effective than any phone call I placed. They arranged an LG employee technician in my area to repair the oven door. The Twitter account person said it was requested the parts be pre-ordered, repair date is January 15. January 14 - I installed the oven in preparation for arrival of my new oven door parts. January 15 - The LG technician calls and says we have to reschedule because of a back injury. 1/19 was my new date he gave me... But then I asked if he pre-ordered parts. They were not pre-ordered. The technician checked stock in your system for the door glass. There is no stock available on the door glass, he doesnt know if there WILL be stock on the door glass in the near future, but he has put the order in now. He said to check back in two days for a status whether there will be glass.I made a big mistake installing the oven beforehand. I followed up with the Twitter account person, who was helpful again, but said the system indicates he has not ordered the glass yet. January 17 - The second outside repair shop, which I never was able to get ahold of, showed up at my house while no one was home, called me and said they were there to fix the range! They said LG (India call center, parts and repair) set up the appointment date and time. No one from LG called me about there being an appointment scheduled. I told them I have a factory tech already scheduled, they didnt have parts to fix it anyways.January 19 - When I check the online status, the technician still has me listed as a scheduled repair today. However, the status of the parts are still back ordered days later. How are there not parts available? 5 weeks as of today. Update: spoke to tech, parts are back ordered until at least the end of February. If the parts and service had told me this 5 weeks ago, the first time I spoke with them, I wouldve demanded a new oven. I assume I will be able to get a new oven, has not happened yet though.

Bought a set of LG products and Never AGAIN!!! I bought them both and about six months later, the washer literally burst open... from the inside out. The top portion with the lid and button flew off the machine and came back down crooked. It was a top loader. The top of the drum was facing the back of the machine. They came and replaced which took a month. One year later the new machine just stopped working while the tub was full of water. We put that one aside, thank god we planned ahead, and bought a second-hand washer and dryer. We have been using the old one since. Not worth fixing the stupid thing, now the dryer has been acting up for a year... It runs for two seconds and stops but while it stops spinning its counting down. I called LG and they stated that it was due to the coldness of my basement... It is pointless to fix these POSs. Big costs, cheap parts and worthless customer service, we will never give this company one red cent!!!

We paid top dollar (over $3000) for an LG Linear refrigerator in June, 2015. In March, 2018, it began making strange clicking noises so we got online and followed some tutorials about how to fix it. Nothing worked. We had a repairman come and he had to replace the control board and fan, at a cost to us of about $600. Now here we are in October, 2019 and it’s doing the exact same thing. We are looking at having to replace both exact same things, only this time it will cost $690. We could have bought a new refrigerator for what we’ve spent on repairs in the past four years. I will never buy another LG product. Maybe the company will see this and offer some compensation, but I doubt it. It’s infuriating!

I bought my LG refrigerator model LMX21981 in Nov. 2008. In the last 6 months it started freezing the vegetables in the crispers. I have had a serviceman out 3 times. The first time he followed the instructions of LGs technician and it was okay for about 2 weeks. The 2nd time he came, the tech had no advice for him. The 3rd time he just shook his head and said there wasnt anything else he could do. For the cost and short serviceable life of the fridge I would think LG would be interested in giving better service on their products. Now the whole refrigerator is freezing everything in it, including the milk, eggs, etc. I am tired of throwing out my spoiled frozen food.

The same has been sent by e-mail on 11/02/2012 and receipt was confirmed by your representative Mr. **. Note that we have owned refrigerators for over 35 years, so are quite good
Note that we have owned refrigerators for over 35 years, so are quite good at evaluating them: we like the LG refrigerator overall, the interior layout and the 2 freezer drawers but, it has several annoying drawbacks/problems: (a) the flipper on the left-hand door, which flips to allow the door to properly close, has an extremely close tolerance, and we have already had a repairman come in to adjust it so the door would properly close (he told us its a common problem and showed me how to do it in the future). (b) The design of the ice dispenser is terrible, as it is nearly impossible to position a glass without some ice chips falling outside the glass, and, if you do not notice that someone has left the dispenser switch in the ice setting (a tiny light indicator) and you want a glass of cold water, the ice dispenser dumps out a load of ice before you can stop it, or vice versa, and if you have a visitor, make sure he/she doesnt go to get ice/water by himself; (c) the unit is noisy, as the case vibrates - if I press against the side the vibration stops, but starts again when I take my hand off; and (d) when it was delivered a small plastic part was missing on the flipper hinge, I asked Customer Service if they could just send me that little part, but no, they said they had to send a repairman, which required 2 visits as he could only replace the entire flipper assembly. We would show a friend these conditions before buying an LG.

That is after I had to put in another part about 2 months ago because the ice maker was leaking. Also had a repair because something was wrong with the seal--that one it was still under warranty. The first repairman told me LG is the worst--looks good with decent price, but bad machine and worse service. According to him every part is always on back order and you have to wait 30 days. I believe I should have read all the comments people made on LG products before making my purchases. Sadly, I now have to be among the complainers, in Aug 2016 Ive purchased all LG appliances. I am already experiencing issues with the refrigerator and service. Refrigerator is constantly running, I swear it may stop for 5 min and run for hrs. I am tired keeping track. Ive called and emailed LG, their response was perhaps the doors and leveling need adjustment. In short, I contacted the store that I made my purchase from, & was told to call the warranty dpt. & when I did, the earliest that the technician can come out to check it out is mid-Sept. OMG what have I got myself into. Nobody needs to go through all this. Come on manufacturers start getting serious and listen to what people are saying. We are not just making noise, these are legitimate concerns and complaints. As consumers, we are paying high prices for appliances we should get good years of use without complaints.

I have an LG refrigerator (Model: LFC2576OTT). I opened the doors to get something out and noticed that the unit was so hot. The plastic that connects the module to the inner roof (on the inside) had melted like string cheese. And lights were brown and burnt looking. It also smelled like melted plastic, electrical fire or burning wires.

I Jaiprakash ** had purchased two product from LG Shoppe situated at Mira Road East, franchise of Malaika Electronic at Sector 1, Shanti Nagar, Mira Road East, Thane. In January, 15, 2015 had purchased three door refrigerator and the complaint is still pending. The reason the LG mira road service centre is ruthless and useless and just want to mint money from the customer by delaying to give service during warranty period and once the warranty period is over, they are free to mint money from the customer. The deep freezer is getting choked with ice and we could see the ice growing like mountain at middle of the deep freezer. The complaint falls to deaf ear and the mail falls to blind eye. No response from the LG service centre, cause they are just waiting when the one year expiry is getting over and when we can mint money.Secondly had purchased LG 10.5 kg washing machine and the dryer is giving problem. The clothes are not fully dried as compared to other brand and the customer service provider informs saying thoda to gila rahega, then how come other brand machine resolves the problem fully and the clothes are dried fully. Not ready to listen about other brand product. Cause it hurts their ego. Almost wasted 67000/- and feel I have been cheated by giving a defective item both end. and the worst part after messaging the senior guy ASM ** he too acts as deaf and blind. So one can understand how junior will react to the customer. Seriously upset with the product and wasted my hard earned money. Dont know whether I have purchased a LG product or a LOW Grade Product. God bless them and give some brain to work with innocent people.

The fridge was not cooling and my food was getting spoiled. I called LG and they sent the local technician three times. They also sent different types of parts. Then, the local technician tried to fix it, but they couldnt. Finally, I was told they couldn’t do it and LG was going to replace the refrigerator. I called LG and they told me that they would have to send their own technician. That took almost two months and finally, the LG technician came to my house and changed a part.At that period, I lost a lot of food and the medications of my mom and my son. I bought every day from the store so I lost almost $1,500. I followed up with LG and they told me they were going to compensate me for 1,500. After the refrigerator was fixed, they called me and told me they can pay only $250 reimbursements food loss. Right now, the refrigerator is working but my main concern is who’s going to pay for my loss. I have too many problems and at the same time, I got a refrigerator problem. It’s too much headache.

My husband and I were recently upgrading our stainless steel appliances. Keep in mind I loved my old ones but my daughter was getting a new house so we thought we would give her ours and get we! I did some research and found the items I wanted at Lowes! I had them delivered and loved the way they looked! After my first load of dishes I was wanting my old appliances back. I called lowes and they told me oh they would never recommend an LG Dishwasher! Not only is the dishwasher horrible it does not get the dishes clean and leaves water and spots on everything but the stainless steel always looks horrible! Ive had stainless before but for some reason this brand is horrible! I am now noticing small dings in the appliances. It is just my husband and I were very careful so the durability of these appliances is horrible.

We purchased an LG front load washer at Home Depot. Only after it was installed could we, and did we, learn that it vibrates incredibly loud on a firm modern floor regardless of the load and balance, and due to its very high spin speed. Home Depot and LG refuse to exchange it for a top loader. A Home Depot representative admitted that they intentionally do not mention that problem to potential purchasers. LG does not even respond to our many forms of contact. They both claim that the machine is working as designed, which can only mean that the design is defective. In our opinion, no one should purchase an LG front loader washer. We have had to resort to ridiculous and only partially successful steps to dampen the vibration and noise, such as cramming pool noodles around the washer (see attached photo).

Purchased in Spring of 2015, and just before the year warranty went out, the ice maker quit working. After a week or two we got that fixed, and while waiting on that repair, my sons LG refrigerator stopped cooling and he was having major issues with getting it repaired b/c it was out of the year warranty (purchased Fall of 2014). Because he was having so many issues, we decided to buy the LG Extended Warranty, just in case, and it was over $500. So now were in for over $3000 for this refrigerator. FYI, my son junked his after several months b/c he could not find anyone who could/would work in it or even figure out what was wrong with it!!! THEN just this past month, July 18th we returned home from a weeks vacation and the refrigerator had stopped working, so we were up until late throwing out over $500 worth of food and cleaning a nasty refrigerator. My husband called them immediately and started the process of getting the repairs made using the LG Extended Warranty. It took him three calls to just get to the right people that might could help us, and they said it would be the end of the week before anyone could JUST look at it! Well, those folks never called the day before, as promised, so my husband starts calling again. Finally someone showed up on July 28th, but guess what? Its a sealed system and LG wouldnt let them work on it. My husband has spent hours on the phone going from person after person up the chain, and finally on August 2nd he got a supervisor that admitted that they had no one in the State of Louisiana that could even work on our refrigerator!!!We are waiting for a call by 2:00 today to see what they are going to do about the situation, to fix or replace... oh, and the LG Extended Warranty will only reimburse us for $250 of our food, not to mention weve had to eat out much more and buy a smaller refrigerator just to keep a few cold food items in! LG is a JOKE, both their refrigerators and their LG Extended Warranties!!! STEER CLEAR OF LG REFRIGERATORS!!! Ill let you know what happen when we hear back from LG.

I am very disappointed with LG product. I have had a broken refrigerator since December 25, 2018. The first time a technician from LG had come to fix it was December 30th. The technician has been coming back every week since then and it is still not fixed. Its only been 17 months since Ive purchased this refrigerator and it has not been working properly for more than two months. I bought it on July 4, 2017. The first repair was on 10/30/17, the second on 03/23/18, and the third on 05/15/18. Now I dont have working refrigerator again. I need someone to take action or I am going to take legal measures. This seems like an issue not just I but many other customers have had and the issue is still not being resolved. Not only is this a time consuming process but also a financial loss. Since not having a fridge for over a month, we havent been able to buy store food and only take out. This not only takes even more money out of my pocket but requires me to take time off work because of all the appointments. Not only is the fridge not working but the last time a technician came on January 25, 2019 he scratched the fridge and left a black burn mark. I am so frustrated and disappointed with not only a product but the services. I would really just like my money back so that I can buy a new, scratch free, and working fridge. I have attached the pictures of the damage.

LG model LRG3081St gas oven preheats to 500 degrees when set on 350. Purchased this range from Lowes and they have been good to work with and have had their repairman to our home 2 times. The control board and temperature probe have been replaced but still over-preheats. In order to use oven I have to open door and try to manipulate the controls to keep at 350. The last repairman called LG Tech support and LG said that we will just have to wait 25-30 minutes to achieve the temp. of 350 as the oven has to settle into the right temp. Lowes appliance Dept. manager said that is ridiculous and I agree. I should not have to wait 30 minutes before using my oven. Still trying get LG to to respond--I want a refund my money. Also burners on stove top are always looking dirty and discolored.

LG Washer WT1201CW - This machine is a piece of crap! We purchased this machine from Home Depot back on 1/5/2014. It is constantly out of balance. And it does NOT have anything to do with the load size. I have put in queen size sheets that will take up to 2 1/2 hrs to wash! Again, not overloaded, since I was told when I purchased it that it could handle a King Size comforter. And I select the bed/bulky cycle. And lets not discuss doing a load of towels. And my whites are no longer white! How can this machine be Energy Star when my old washer from 15 yrs ago washed the same load in less than an hr. I hate this machine. My girlfriend bought the same machine & returned it within 10 days because of its poor performance. The only reason I still have it is because it cost me an arm & a leg to purchase & I cannot afford to replace my appliances every 5 yrs. It also says that it is a TrueBalance. Right! I just put in a 1/2 load of whites at 7:40. It is now 9:45 with another 15 minutes to go, according to the display. But that is all dependent as to whether I need to shuffle my half load around again to TrueBalance it out again. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE! It is a piece of crap! I will never buy another LG appliance! Oh excuse me, I just needed to re-position my half load of whites. Another 20 minutes added onto the display.

I bought this microwave oven (Model LMV1813ST) August of 2013. Its warranty ran out a year later or August 2014. Within months, the front door of this unit came apart. The outer glass fell down and the whole door disintegrated. I called LG customer service and they initially said they would assist me with its repair then they pretty much blew me away. They gave me the name of an authorized repair shop that quoted me a repair bill far more than the unit is worth in the market new. I asked LG to reconsider and provide me with a number for upper management. They asked me for photos of the unit and its defective door then they pretty much have ignored me. They did not do anything and would not give me a number to corporate or management where I could have address the issue further. I must mention that like other consumers I bought two other appliances at the same time. All have had problems but fortunately for me it happen prior to the end of the warranty period. I believe it is fair to say that these LG products are cheaply made and not meant to last very long. LG tries to sell you over and over again an extended warranty for its products and it appears to be part of this corporate greed to gain profits on known defective products. I have looked at this microwave oven and its construction is not made to withstand the heat from the stove below for very long. The whole plastic door becomes unglued from the moisture and the heat naturally emanating from the stove while cooking is underway. The microwave is not made to withstand normal use for very long. It must be an obvious known fact to any industrial or appliance design engineer that the unit will not last. I do not believe LG should be allowed to be in the market to sell defective products at the expense of the consumer’s safety and pocket book. I would like a government agency to look into the LG quality control (if there is any) and sue this company for malfeasance and intentional sale of defective goods for consumer’s households. I would like to see a class action suit against LG. Do not buy an LG product. I will tell all I know my experience with LG appliances and other goods. I have bought other LG devices, which also have broken down within days of purchase. I can prove and attest to what I am writing here.

Horrendous Experience! On 7/13 I reported that twenty expensive Brooks Brothers non-iron shirts were destroyed due to the fault of the lint filter of this dryer. The shape of the filter was not manufactured properly and did not remain in place. As a result, pockets, sleeves, button holes and collars of twenty shirts in a load were ruined. I immediately contacted LG customer service and spoke to someone about this event. They offered to mail a new lint catch and then said that I would have to complete a full report of the incident. A follow up email arrived to me with a claim form that I submitted on 7/20.I completed the form in full and also took detailed photos of every shirt and the damage caused. I had heard nothing back at all for two months until on 9/3 when I began to submit daily written complaints via the LG website complaint portal. Finally on 10/5, another representative contacted me via e-mail and asked me to once again forward my claim for and all of the photos of the damage. After review, the representative said that the most they would offer was a reimbursement of $250.00. I sent examples of the current value from the Brooks Brothers website, segregated the shirts for physical inspection and was informed that I would need the original receipt for each one in order for the reimbursement to be reconsidered.A collection of twenty shirts bought over a series of time that were not defective prior to their placement in this dryer would have had no reason to have receipts available. I offered to have them viewed in person and made between 3-4 photos of each shirt as described, showing their tags and damage! Brooks Brothers shirts are quality and time tested to last because they are made properly; quite unlike this dryer! I have yet to get any response to my dissatisfaction for this companys resolution. I did, however, receive this e-mail from 12/21 that had the gall to offer me $500.00 for having completed this survey. My loss of value due to the shirt damage was in excess of $2800.00!! This company has a terrible amount of nerve and complete lack of concern for the customer experience as a whole. This dryer is an abomination and I am sorry that I ever decided to purchase it. Your company should be ashamed of itself for all of the aggravation that I have been put through for this incident...never mind the financial loss!

I dont trust any of the side loaders due to the possibility of water leaking around the door seal. Price was discounted for a holiday, from Lowes. Lowes installation bothered me a lot. This washer and dryer replaced Kenmores that were 25 years old, and still running. Quality means a lot to me. I expect these LGs to last at least as long as my 25 year old Kenmores since engineering and technology MUST have improved in the last 25 years. After a year, I am very happy with the LGs. Occasionally, the washer cant balance the load and I have to redistribute the washer contents. Note that the basin spins at over 1000 rpm, so a balanced load is critical. Thats okay. I thought the vast number of washing options were way too many, so too the dryer. But I guess some owners will use options that I dont. The clothes load size is really big. You will need very long arms to reach the bottom of the washer to pull out all the items.

I purchased a $1,200, top of the line LG, in September of 2009. November of 2011 the machine came up with an error code of 1E, which the manual states a water inlet valve. So the part was replaced. Guess what? That wasnt the issue, so I contacted LG, and they had me go over some troubleshooting over the phone with no luck. So they gave me appliance repair centers that only deal with LG. To make a long story short, after having 2 parts swapped out - one was for $91.00, the inlet valve was $54.00 and another $91.00 yet to be paid to the appliance repair guy. Oh and I forgot about the computer board (which only has a 5 year warranty) was replaced - I have a $1,200.00 dishwasher that does not work!LG called me to say that they will prorate it by giving me $676.00. After all that was put into it, that comes to $440.00 and I have to send mine back. Hmm. I told LG that this is unacceptable. Her answer, Well sir, its a man made product, so I laughed in which I replied, So if I purchase anything from LG and it craps out after 3 years, I am supposed to just accept that Oh well! Contacted LG service, tech came out found nothing. Took pictures of the finished wash with soap stains sent them to LG, another tech arrived and tried to solve the problem. No luck. Called again. Still no satisfaction. Finally after fourth tech I had a tech make a suggestion that seems to work. LG engineers in their infinite wisdom of trying to make a washing machine that is water efficient failed. The machine senses how much water based upon the weight of the items in the tub which basically doesnt wash squat. So by having the machine first wet the clothes and restarting the cycle the load is now heavier and the machine increases the amount of water in the tub to accommodate the heavier load. Now you have enough water to actually wash clothes! Seems a stupid way to get a machine to work, but it appears to solve the problem. Basically LG engineers need to learn how to actually test their product before sucking the consumer into buying junk!

Installed unit from 7/15/2016. Morning 12/24/2019 wife noted dripping water into unit from front upper ice maker. Upper 56/lower 54 degrees. Merry Christmas, family coming, 12lb ham for Christmas & 10lb brisket for Christmas Eve. Immediately connected with LG phone & Clark the virtual voice response system. After 2 quick checks on virtual phone; 1) Yes unit is level and doors closed, 2) No change in fridge 37 degree setting recently; Clark at main office determined required service person & sent text message to file form online. Performed immediately & attached scanned copy 12/24/2019 of all prior receipt/invoicing paperwork for original install. Confirmed upon completion same time that original registration was in system by logging onto original registration account. NO RESPONSE after confirmation online that they had received my input or assigned anyone from local service. On 12/26/2019 evening located 2 available LG service centers in area from LG website, still no follow-up directly and no means noted to do such. Left voice message with one local service center 12/26. Next morning 12/27 called them again and resubmitted my invoice/installation paperwork for warranty confirmation to them via email & scheduled earliest available service visit for Tuesday 12/31/2019. Diagnosis 12/31 -> failed compressor. LG class-action lawsuit noted; still no follow-up from LG Main Office directly after original online submittal & confirmation of receipt. Local service anticipates once LG receives their paperwork end of day when he returns to office & LG re-certifies/validates original purchase/registration; then typically 7-10 business days for LG to send parts to them. Different person will install compressor once they reschedule fix/install. Warranty paperwork indicates Parts on LG, all labor on me. Wish there was a direct way to speak with a real person at LG main office to address issues & receive proper confirmation of path forward for wife/family planning next few weeks without fridge/freezer - Ouch! I purchased Stove LRG30357ST and called about a problem with what seems to be stainless steel knob controls that melted off. Turns out, the knobs are plastic with some type of foil around them. They want 70 dollars each to replace and there are five knobs. We will buy a new stove before we pay 350 to replace knobs with cheaper knobs.Second problem has happened three times in the past two years and 11 months. Somehow, the knob gets turned in the on position either by accidentally knocking it or maybe the knob fully turning the burner into a safe position. We were thinking maybe our body was hitting it when using the above microwave or simply not turning off all the way. Normally, they make a clicking sound when its calling for gas and not lighting. We shook it off as a freak accident the first time. The second time really got our attention and we gave the kids a lesson on what was going on. The third time, we both were working and the kids microwaved some popcorn and must have bumped one of the burners. We have no idea how they could not have smelt the gas odor but it was so scary that we made another call to LG. We hope to here back since we have no choice but to get a safer stove.

I bought LG refrigerator from Costco back in Feb 24 2016. It was 30 cubic feet and I paid almost $2700. Nightmare started couple of weeks ago and it is ongoing. Refrigerator stop cooling, I called lg. They told me to reset and wait for 8 hrs which I did. Nothing happened, called again. They said it suppose to be 24 hrs wait, I waited 24 hrs. Nothing happened, called back again. They send the lg technician. He said faulty compressor in that kind of fridge with tons of other complains. He said they will take 6 weeks or more to repair due to so many complaints and back order on compressor. We have a tiny refrigerator right now we are using as a backup, but it can only hold milk and butter, I called costco, explained my situation to Isaac one of the manager in Victorville store near my house, and ask him to make a exception returning it due to such a long time for repair and upcoming holidays, he consulted his superior and they declined to return, but he said he contacted lg and told them about the time frame for repair, lg told him they will try to find a repair shop which can repair it sooner.Oh by the way the lg technician told me that lg used plastic ring instead of metal in compressor to save few bucks. That ring melts quickly. Thats why they are having so many complaints, according to that lg technician compressor supposed to last for 10 years. I am still waiting the response from costco and lg. My advice to consumers not buy large appliances from costco due to their scam. 100% satisfaction guarantee policy which only cover for 90 day. It is ridiculous, also lg technical support is very unsupportive and their refrigerators are faulty, unless you would like to have a nightmare like I am going through.

According to LG statement air vent is at the stove bottom but it is in fact at the top vent. That was a head technician recommended to check our kitchen cabinets instead of dealing with design issue. The knobs are unsafe and turn on by just touching. LG please smarten up and work to correct problems that your appliances causing. Somebody is going to be hurt.

Bought a microwave in Canada in November to bring south for the winter as we are Canadian snowbirds. Arrived in Yuma, Az and about 2 weeks after arrival the microwave quit working. There is a manufacturing date of July 2015 stamped right on the microwave but all my paperwork for purchase is in Canada. I phoned LG and without the paperwork they will do nothing. I tried desperately to get some paper work from Canada but was unable to get. I therefore have to go buy another microwave to get me through the winter. I can get the micro repaired when I get back to Canada in April and produce the paperwork but then Ill have 2 microwaves which doesnt make much sense. I asked the LG person that I phoned how they could not just repair it when the manufacture date is stamped right on it. NO EXCEPTIONS he said. This to me is absolutely ridiculous. I will never buy another LG product as long as I live.

We purchased all brand new stainless appliances including washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, microwave oven. To our disappointment three of the appliances all have black mold. Just the appliances that have anything to do with moisture. This is not a healthy situation. Please see attached pictures.

Update on 10/09/2020: This is a follow-up to the review I posted on April 5, 2020 and still has not been resolved. LG replied to have this issue repaired but due to COVID we were not going to allow a mechanic at the time to come into the house. LG has since not responded.Original Review: Like other reviewers, the same front left element of my induction range stopped heating. We are having the same problem and the range has barely been used and was purchased at the end of February 2019 but not installed and started using until May 2019. I have also tried unplugging the unit and plugging it back in but that did not help. We paid over $2,000 and the limited one-year warranty expired which is disappointing for how expensive this unit is. Very disappointed in the quality of this unit and we purchased several other LG appliances unfortunately.

Bought a LG Dryer instead of a Maytag this time and I am so disappointed in myself in doing so. The dryer filter will not completely seat and it has caught clothing on the corner and now looks like I have a little melted corner now also. It has damaged several articles of clothing. I did vacuum it out just in case to no avail. You have but one job and that is to put out a safe and dependable dryer and have failed to do so. For verification my model number is: DLE3170W. S/N: 505KWFNOF771.

I only wish I would have done more research before purchasing our LG Refrigerator. It lasted one year and six months before it just quit cooling and freezing. I have been dealing with LG Customer service for the past three weeks and I can honestly say I have never experienced such inadequate and disingenuous customer service in my life. If you purchase an LG Refrigerator after reading all of these horror stories you would unfortunately deserve what you’ll end up with. A big beautiful stainless steel box that is useless.

I am actually not happy with LG service provider. I bought my LG washing machine less than 2 years ago. It was faulty, and series of complaint was sent to LG office Ipaja where the washing machine was bought. For them to send their technicians to fix it, they keep posting me up till this moment. Bought our house in May of 2014 and it came with the brand new LG front loading washer. I wish it didnt because it has been an ongoing problem since we started using it. Besides having to clean it all the time, it leaks constantly. First, the error message would go on and the water wasnt draining, so it would leak everywhere, plus we would have to empty the water. We had that repaired. Now, its leaking from a different area, which is a different issue Im being told. This is the 3rd repair done on this machine!! I will never buy a washer like this again especially from LG. I thought they were a reliable company, but they definitely are not!

I also have purchased the LG range (Ltg30357st). I have had the knobs replaced twice (this will be the third time). I have spoken to customer service and they asked, Did you leave the broiler door open? I said no. The knobs are not melted. They are all cracked and I cannot turn off the stove. Jeremy at customer service got all my info and placed me on hold so he could speak to his supervisor. I have been on hold now for 24.33 minutes and when he returned, finally I have new knobs being sent at no charge. Sometimes killing them with kindness goes along way. Thank you LG.

I have posted here before about the smell from my LG Tromm washer. I have been reading other posts regarding leaving the door open and peeling paint. I have always left the door of my washer open and, as Ive posted before, still get that awful smell. We are at the point now of needing to replace the washing machine after 3 years because our clothes smell so bad. We have tried all the front-loading washing machine cleaners we can find and have used bleach in the tub clean as per the owners manual. One of the worst smelling items is our wonderful towels. After showering, we have to remember not to breathe deeply while drying our faces! And I just noticed the paint is peeling off the front of the machine, near one of the “seams”. It is almost like the way wet latex paint will just wipe off if. It is painted over an oil-based paint. What can we do about this? I really cant afford to buy another washing machine already.

I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG PRODUCT AGAIN! Bought the best energy saver machine LG had on the market. Bought the dryer to match. Has been horrible from day one! Leaking big problem. Sensors costing between $82-$100 EACH to replace. AND there are 5 to 6 per problem. LG could care less. How do these people remain in business??? Every repairman I called told me to throw it out in the trash before it drains you dry forgive the pun. LG SHAME ON YOU!

We noticed, when using the washer, that several items of clothing came out
We noticed, when using the washer, that several items of clothing came out with small holes in them. At first I thought it might be due to the clothing. But it has gotten worse. Now items like new jeans, t-shirts and pants are experiencing holes. So I felt all around the drum and didnt see any sharp items that would snag the clothes. But then I looked at the drum design. The drum is supported by three brackets. Each of these brackets have small drain holes about 1/8 high and 3/4 long on each side. Two of these brackets are located not near the dimpled holes in the drum. But the third bracket is located about 1/4 from the dimples. In looking at the cutouts in the brackets, I noted that they had sharp edges. I wet a heavy cloth and pushed it in between the dimples and the slot, simulating centrifugal force of a rotating drum. At times the cloth was snagged by the bracket. Therefore, I believe that there is a design deficiency. I checked the newer models at Sears and the slot on the brackets have been relocated away from the drum dimples. Please advise how do I get LG to correct this situation and compensate for lost clothes.

The refrigerator worked fine for the first 2 1/2years. Since then we have had repair out 4 times in the last 4 months. The cooling system keeps going out. Condenser, fan, you name it. I have lost food 4 times. My husband has called the 1-800 number numerous times. They just keep sending out a repair person to no avail. Last time, after going through 2 supervisors, LG agreed to send us a $200 check for food and said to give the repair person one more chance to fix the problem and if it did not work LG would consider doing something more. The repair person came out and my fridge has been working for 4 days now. I await the next outage. I have no confidence that the problem is fixed and I am sure I will be calling them again. LG makes a lot of great products but refrigerators are not included and I will NEVER buy another one.

I purchased an LG front loader in the last quarter of 2012. In late 2013, the door gasket started leaking. I called several local repair shops who stated they would not work on them because LG did not stand behind their appliance replacement parts. I ordered the gasket and replaced it myself. Now in June of 2015, the door gasket is leaking again in the exact same spot. This is a poor design and I will never buy an LG product again.

We purchased a washer and dryer set in December. The week of June 22nd I called because the washer stopped working. The technician was sent out on June 26th and it was determined that 5 parts must be replaced because it was defective. They were suppose to be replaced on June 29th and the technician called to tell me the parts didnt arrive over the weekend and he would hopefully call me to come back out on July 1st. It is now July 14th and we STILL do not have a washer! I paid for a BRAND new washer, not a defective one. This is UNACCEPTABLE that this is taking this long! I have called the 1-800 number several times and every time, Im told that it should be here tomorrow. I am having to go pay to wash my clothes at a laundromat. I am tired of the run around! I want this taken care of and I want it explained to me how a brand new product that is currently still being sold can take this long to be fixed! Your product and your customer service has much to be desired!

Lrg3095st. Have almost all our appliances, washer/dryer and TVs LG and they have been very high quality and very reliable. However this range has been a exception. Had several service call for melting knobs and temperature control and latch adjustment. Now it is a little over 5 years old, the front oven door is starting to rust through. LG says this is pretty much normal and they will not make good for their problem so I suggest that you stay away from their stainless steel ranges until they fix their manufacturing problems.

We purchased an LG dishwasher from Home Depot as part of a package for a kitchen remodel this summer. The dishwasher has been worthless. The only way to get clean dishes out of it is to wash them thoroughly by hand before loading... Add to that occasional flooding on the kitchen floor and a really unpleasant smell when the door is opened and you can see why I give this product one star. How I wish I had seen all these comments earlier. They certainly dont bode well for me getting any kind of customer satisfaction from LG.

Three weeks ago my son contacted LG customer service. Our refrigerator has been running with a loud fan sound. Recommendations... to set temperature at original setting settings and dont open the doors. Three weeks from then... same situation. Today I called LG customer service talked with Chris. He asked for the fridge/freezer temperatures. Fridge panel at 34, freezer at -6. Yet, I explained to Chris that I bought refrigerator/freezer thermometers... the fridge reads 60 degrees, the freezer is reading at 30 degrees. Chris asked my son if the settings on the refrigerator was personal or preference. My son said I guess preference. Conclusion - Chris now had us reset the temps to fridge, 37 and the freezer at 0. He said since we preference the other temps, tried to explain that we did not set this temps, he said, Well your son said it was a preference. No one at LG was helpful. Very belittling, Dok. the first person spoke with, continued asking Is the fan sound humming, snapping, tapping? When I tried to explain that no one set these temps, Chris used the bias term personal or preference. Not one person was willing to work together to solve the problem. They were looking for blame. Point remains, whatever the panel temps says the refrigerator is still at 60 degrees, and freezer is at 30+.

About five years ago, I purchased a new LG with a freezer on the bottom and two refrigerator doors on top of the freezer. The ice maker is located in the upper left door (as you face the unit) in the refrigerator. So far, the ice maker has been replaced 5 times, and has never worked correctly. It will not provide sufficient ice output for a family of four. If guests are expected, I must buy ice at the store to supplement the output of the ice maker. The ice maker contained in this refrigerator is a poorly designed and constructed worthless piece of junk.

They advised that this was normal. 08-15-14 Contacted service center about noise coming from back of refrigerator. They advised that this was normal. Unknown date contacted service center concerning error codes “er rf” on display unit. Technician scheduled to come out on 10-01-14.10-01-14 Service technician arrived to check on noise and cooling issues. Coil and fan motor frozen with ice. As technician was removing inside grille to get to fan he broke the grille. He defrosted the ice from the fan motor and replaced the grille with one he had in his truck. Set temperature for refrigerator to +34 degrees and temperature for freezer to -1 degree. He wrote up the service ticked and charged $81.98 for the “Duct Assembly, Multi (item number: **)” that he broke plus the $120 for service call plus $4.34 tax on the replacement grille part. 10-06-14 Sent Fax to a ** in the Alabama location concerning telephone conversation in which he advised LG would reimburse me for the cost of the repair part plus the tax. Fax included cover sheet, two page service ticket and copy of purchase order from hhgregg.10-22-14 Called service center and after a 20 minute hold to verify my status, was advised that I should hear from Alabama around November 3rd. 07-10-15 Around 4:52 PM Eastern Time, called service center and advised them that freezer was not freezing (temperature was 62 degrees and rising) and that all food in freezer had spoiled. Furthermore, the refrigerator temperature was almost 70 degrees and food had spoiled. Additionally the unit was making a loud motor noise in the rear of the unit. After trying to explain the issue over and over again I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was placed on hold for 38 minutes and 26 seconds until I disconnected the call from my cell phone, but not before I had called the service center again from my house phone. It was only after I explained everything again that I was informed that the executive staff (supervisors) department closed at 5:00 PM and that I could not run the “Smart Diagnostic” over the telephone because all of the service technicians in their department had also gone at 5:00 PM, that I would have to call back tomorrow on 7-11-15. The service center advised me that the service warranty had expired and any service call would be $120.00 plus parts. This was mentioned on three different times during the call. I did manage to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to the house on Monday, 7-13-15 between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Total time on the telephone service call was 58 minutes and 44 seconds.7-11-15 Called the service center again and had to explain everything that I explained twice the night before. After requesting to run the “Smart Diagnostic” I was placed on hold then performed the diagnostic. After a delay they informed me that the diagnostic did not come through and we had to do it again. Once that went through I asked what it showed and was told that they did not know, that someone from the technical staff had to review it. They told me that they could schedule a technician to come out to the house on Tuesday afternoon on 7-/14/15 but there would be a $120.00 service call charge plus the cost of any parts. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and they asked me what that was about. Finally after going back and forth with them I was placed on hold for about 12 minutes before a supervisor identified as ** came on the line. She asked what the problem was and then placed me on hold while she brought up my file on her computer. That took another 5 plus minutes. Finally after explaining everything to her about the previous night and current call she placed a one-time extended warranty on the unit and gave me an authorization number of: **. She advised that she could get a technician out on Tuesday afternoon 7/14/15 and when I told her that I had one already scheduled for 7/13/15 she confirmed it. This call was then terminated after 58 minutes and 11 seconds.7-13-15 Contacted by service technician at 3:12 PM who advised that he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. He asked what I thought was wrong with the unit and I replied that I thought that the compressor had gone bad. I explained the temperature readings and the noise it was making. He stated that if it was in fact a bad compressor that he could not fix it today as he did not have one with him and would have to order one. He arrived at 3:38 PM, removed the lower back grill panel to access the compressor and noticed a lot of dust on the evaporator coils. I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He went back out to his truck to get his gauges and checked the compressor which he determined was bad. He advised that he was fully booked for tomorrow, Tuesday, 7/14/15 but would press his schedule and plug me in on the end of the day. He departed at 4:04 PM advising that he would call when he was on his way out to replace the compressor. 7-14-15 Around 1:23 PM service technician ** called to advise he was on his way. Compressor delivered via FEDEX this afternoon and left at the garage door. Technician arrived at 1:30 PM, completed compressor swap and departed at 3:30 PM.06-04-16 Noticed that items inside the refrigerator were not as cold and normal that that on several occasions milk and dairy products were spoiling before the “Best if Used By” dates. The inside temperature of unit felt cool and not cold. Placed thermometer inside the refrigerator portion of the unit and began taking readings. Also noticed that freezer unit was not as cold as it should be also. Placed thermometer inside the freezer unit and began taking readings as well. Temperature settings on the panel are set the same as the technician left them on his last visit on 7/14/15. Refrigerator set to 34 degrees and freezer set to -1 degrees.06-05-16 At 9:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type thermometer and freezer showing 5 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 3:00 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 9:30 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 46 degrees on a dial-type dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 7 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-06-16 At 10:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 11:32 AM called LG toll free number (800-243-0000) received recording and sent link for self-diagnostic. Performed self-diagnostic as per link and advised to contact LG repair at (866-558-2559). Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 6 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 12:10 PM called LG toll free number and automated system advised they would call back within the next two hours. At 12:15 PM was connected to a Customer Service Rep in the Philippines. I requested several times to be connected to an American Customer Service Rep in the United States but was told three times that there were no US representative at their location. After my fourth attempt I was placed on hold. At 12:18 PM the Philippine rep came back on the line and advised that they did not have a US contact number. I requested to speak to a supervisor and when queried as to why I explained that I wanted to speak to a US rep and that her service center should have a number. She put me on hold again. At 12:21 PM she came back on the line to advise she will transfer me to a supervisor. At 12:27 transferred to ** in the Alabama office. After trying to explain my issues with her she placed me on hold several times explaining they are using new software programs and have glitches. She is trying to plug in the extended warranty on the unit. She returned on the line to advise that she had scheduled the technician ** to come out between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM under Authorization Number **. She further advised that this authorization included the service call plus parts and labor. ** also provided a direct number to the Alabama Service Center at **. The telephone contact was terminated after 50 minutes and 47 seconds at 1:00 PM.06-07-16 At 11:15 AM received call from Service Tech who advised that he would be out within the next 15 – 30 minutes. He arrived at 11:35 and performed a refrigeration pressure check on the system. He stated that it appeared there is a leak at one of the coil joints where the copper joins the aluminum. He indicated that the High Side pressure dropped 30 psi with no movement on the Low Side and that indicates a leak somewhere in the system. He further stated that much drop could indicate only a ½ charge or less of coolant presently in the system. He explained that there was a company issue with ordering parts to have them overnighted to the customer. Lately the parts have been shipped to him which delays service. He stated that the parts he needs will be overnighted to me and should be here NLT 10:30 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8th. He has scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 1:00 PM just to be safe and at present he only has one appointment for tomorrow. If I receive the parts tomorrow morning I am to give him a call and he will work me into his Wednesday schedule. He indicated that the job would take several hours to complete (Of note: He asked me if I was removing the rear access panel to blow out dust and vacuum the coil area. I told him that on 7-13-15 I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He told me that he did not say that, that he highly recommends the customer remove the rear access grille and try to blow out the dust and debris, then vacuum the debris up, just being careful not to get near the vanes or coils.). After placing the order for the parts to be shipped/overnighted here he departed at 12:05PM.06-08-16 At unknown time, received call from Service Technician to advise that the FedEx tracking indicated that the parts he had ordered had arrived. I confirmed that and he indicated that he would be arriving sometime around 11:00 AM. He had ordered both a refrigerator coil and the freezer coil which had arrived and be commenced disassembling the inside of the refrigerator to swap out the refrigerator coil which he felt had a small leak on one of the connections. After steaming ice off of the end or the coil he replaced it with the new one. He then checked the pressurization on the lines and said that he was satisfied with the as it did not appear there were any leaks. After checking other things in the unit he packed up and departed advising that he would check back to see how the unit was performing.06-09-16 At 8:52 AM received a call from Service Technician, who was checking on the performance of the unit. I advised him that it did not appear to be cooling as he had predicted, that the freezer was in the teens and the refrigerator in the lower 40’s. He advised me to keep a check on it and he would schedule me for the first of the week. 06-12-16 At 3:14 PM received a call on answering machine from Service Technician who advised that he has me scheduled for Tuesday, 6-13-16 between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.06-13-16 At 2:07 PM received a call from Service Tech who advised he would be here within the next 10 - 15 minutes to check on the unit again. He arrived at approximately 2:25 PM and proceeded to first blow out the dust that had accumulated under the unit and on the coils which was minimal. He then began to test the system refrigerant and determined that it was not up to capacity. He then vacuumed the lines and added some additional Freon. He advised that it appeared that there was a little water in the line which he was able to purge. He indicated that the unit should work fine at this point with the cooling in the refrigerator set to 34 degrees and the freezer set to 0 degrees. I told him that I would continue to take temperature readings in both the refrigerator and freezer and if I noticed them not performing I would call him and let him know. After about 1 ½ hours of work he departed.06-14-16 At 8:53 AM received a call from Service Technician asking how the unit was performing. I texted him back at 11:39 AM advising that the refrigerator was at 37 degrees and the freezer was at 9 degrees. At 12:15 PM Service Technician called again to advise that he had mistakenly had a parts order sent to our house and wanted to know if was OK for him to come by and pick it up. I advised that it was not a problem. He asked about the refrigerator and I advised him that I would continue to monitor the temperatures several times during the day and evening for the next few days to see if the system performs as expected and would advise him of results. He advised that he will continue to check up on it and would be calling periodically. On 05-24-17 we returned home from an extended vacation to discover that the ice maker was not producing ice. Door was dispensing water but there was no ice in the door-side ice maker and therefore nothing to dispense. On 06-05-17 At 12:18 PM I contacted the Executive Offices in Alabama at ** to explain the issue I was having with the ice maker not working. The person I spoke with, whose name I failed to get, advised me that she would give me the number of the local service center to schedule an appointment for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. There would be charges for the technician to come out, charges for the diagnostic, charges for parts and labor since the unit was past its one year warranty and had already been given a one- time courtesy and she was not going to issue another one. I was basically out of luck but could get it fixed through the technician with service call charges plus parts and labor. While the service technician was very personable and professional, that is the only thing good I can say about me experience with this company. The technician even told me on several occasions during his visits that the parts i.e. compressors, etc were inferior and the technicians were having all kinds of problems with them. With the experience that I have had in dealing with this company, I doubt that I will every purchase anything else with the LG label.

Just over ownership of 1 year (when warranty ends). The bleach cup developed corrosion all around it dripping rust water into my clothes making the washer unusable. I wipe this area off every time I use bleach. Called customer service and they told me that I must not be wiping the bleach off when I spill it. This seems to be an issue with many customers, but still no recall. Also, purchased a 50 OLED TV that stopped working 1 week after use. Will NEVER buy LG again. They used to be a reliable company but now they are the one to avoid at all cost.

We bought an LG Refrigerator LFX31925ST/05 about 1 1/2 years ago for about $2300 and it has been a nightmare. A few weeks after we bought it we started having problems with the ice maker/dispenser. The ice would thaw then freeze in the storage compartment in the door. So ice would not come out the dispenser. We continued to have the problem so had an LG recommended repairman come try to fix it. The first repair did not work. A few calls later and a different repairman and we find out there is a class action lawsuit for the ice maker and we eventually got it replaced. Now, at the age of 1-1/2 years we had the air circulating fan go out. Error code ER rf. Not covered under the 1-yr. warranty. It took the LG recommended repair man 10 days to replace the motor since it was on back order. We agreed to pay him once we were sure it was working. He left angrily. A half hour after he left, the error code was up again and the fan was not running! After we called and complained, the repair man figured it must be the circuit board. A week later, with a refrigerator that is warm on top and freezes on the bottom, we still have not yet had the board replaced. Maybe we can wait for another class action lawsuit. LG refuses to extend common courtesy and replace the parts without charge. We are looking at about $350 of labor and parts for a fridge that is 1 1/2 years old! On top of that, the stainless steel scratches very easily so be careful. Worst appliance Ive ever purchased!

LG Refrigerators have a known problem with their compressors and they die within three years. Although the product is still under warranty, it takes weeks to get parts and still the fridge doesnt work. Their customer service is horrible and they state they wont replace a unit unless theyve come out four times. There is a pending class action suit against the company and the company should recall these products and refund the consumers money. Save yourself the aggravation and buy another product. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I purchased an LG $2800 refrigerator in 2015. 4 weeks ago when I was out of state, the refrigerator failed. The compressor went out and all my food was spoiled. Worse than even this is the ridiculous treatment I have had with LG in trying to get it fixed under warranty. My first call resulted in a transfer to a repair shop who said, We dont have anyone to help you today. I tried to make an appointment and they said, No appointments. Just call back some day. I called LG again and they said find someone to fix it and once they diagnose the problem LG will send the parts. OK, done! But wait... Called LG and they said they would expedite the order and sent the repair shop the parts. Called again when there was no info sent to the shop, Oh, sorry will send it now... Called the next day, Oh we dont have a full address, called the next day, Oh sorry it takes 6 days to expedite, not sure why no one told you... Called again, Should be able to expedite tomorrow, we will call you. I have stepped up the calling process to 2x per day but suffice it to say my refrigerator went out 4 weeks ago and I dont have it fixed. I am convinced they do this so that they do not have to warrant the product!

We bought a new front loader LG WM3670H just a couple of months ago after our 13 year old front loader Kenmore (an amazing washer!) shot its bearings. The LG machine is only good for washing dust off your clothes. Will not wash anything heavier than that and leaves tons of lint all over your clothes... I am super frustrated because I am now washing lots of things in hand after they have been through the supposed wash. I use heavy soil and warm water setting and it is not sufficient for average towels or kids’ clothing.

This has to be the worst line of washing machines I have ever had. It broke down the first week I had it and just kept breaking down at least once or twice a month. I had it for 1 year. Sold it for $80. Nobody would give me more than that. I had to purchase a new one.

This is a joke. Easy Clean does not work. I have just used the oven once to make a prime rib and have tried the Easy Clean twice without it doing a cleaning. I had to literally get the door off and side for two trying to get the splattering cleaned and still have not gotten the desired effect. The top of the range is another problem. It has small pits, a mesh-like top heating surface that makes cleaning another difficult task. I called LG and might have just saved my breath.

LG HE Top Loader is the worst purchase I have ever made! I have read the reviews here and thank goodness, this washer has never caused any damage to our home. But it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to do laundry with this thing. We purchased this in February 2015 and while I cant find the model number right now, it is a top loader, 4.9 cu. ft. bought at Lowes. From the moment we bought it, we quickly discovered it is insanely touchy about keeping in balance - the first couple of months, almost every load I did got off balance and caused the machine to make horrible noises, bumping and jumping around until I got the OB error and it would just stop. After talking with numerous people, I learned it is best to fill the washer completely with clothes and this eliminates the problem most of the time. Well, I dont know about you but in a 2 person household, it is almost impossible to completely fill this machine, every time I use it. For instance, I am trying to wash a load of towels right now - every bath towel that we own, exactly according to the machine instructions and it keeps getting off balance because the towels are too heavy from water and bang around in the machine. I NEVER had to even think about this with my standard machine and now it feels like every time I do laundry, its practically a physics lesson to think about the proper mix of clothes to get the right weight to finish a cycle. It should NOT be this difficult and you cant tell me LG doesnt know this. I dont know if any other brands have this issue but for the amount of money we spent, these clothes should practically wash themselves. Sometimes, advanced technology is NOT better, only more chances for things to go wrong.

1) Super-duper energy efficiency is achieved by hard tumbling. I always set up this machine on the lowest possible setting for soil and spinning, yet it ruined a whole load of clothes. Everything made of knitted fabric (read: all T-shirts and all short-sleeve shirts) after one single washing cycle is stretched to the point that it is no longer usable, precisely - became 2 times wider and 2 times shorter. Also, I have 2 regular shirts ruined - the machine tears off buttons with pieces of fabric, and just tears apart fine fabric. I want to underline again - it happened on the lowest soil and spin setting. So, basically, if you are interested in Delicate cycle - it does not exist. All other cycles have no value, since you will get your clothes ruined anyway. The only thing the machine could be usable - washing jeans and soldier uniforms. Towels and linens are okay too, but forget about washing your clothes, any knitted and fine fabric.2) Because it is high energy efficiency machine, you cannot choose water temperature. Well, nominally you can, but in practice it tries to use cold water. In most of the settings except the last one, you will get cold water in the washing tank. The highest possible setting, hot/warm still uses cold water from the tap, and the machine does not have a water heater. So, to get hot water only you have to dance around it, and turn cold water tap off, then on.3) Water efficiency feature does not exist - it has a couple of settings like half tank and full tank. So, if you want to wash a couple of jeans or 4 shirts, you will get a half tank of water, and the tank is huge.Overall - taking into account the price, the efficiency, and the amount of good clothes I have spoiled by the machine - this is the worst purchase in my life.

I bought an LG large capacity washer and dryer 6 years ago. I paid over $1600 for the pair at Home Depot. There are only 3 in my family so I dont have a lot of laundry like some larger families do. Just recently, my washer had a smell like something was on fire and making a banging noise. I called the LG repair service and a rep came out to take a look. He told me that the bearings were wearing out on the tub and to fix it, they would have to change the whole tub for about $450. Seriously! They just dont make products like they used to. I will never buy an LG product again.

Purchased the LG glass cooktop stove as part of a package - model # LRE3193ST in Oct. 2017, less than 2 years ago and one of the glass stove top burners started turning on by itself. I was awoken at 1:30 am this past Sat by smoke alarm because of a fire. I had placed a dish towel on top of the stove which I had not used for 3 days. Today I came home from work and the same burner was on HIGH. Thankfully I had cleared the stove top off and have not used it. It could have burned my house down while I was at work. Has anyone else had this happen?

Bought a LG Top load washer less than 3 years ago for $720. Its constantly going out of balance several times every load you wash. Now the drive shaft broke and took out the wash plate as well. Despite the fact that the front of the washer has a 10 year warranty sticker plastered on the front of it LG refused to authorize the repair center to cover the parts under warranty, the cost of which is approx. $400-450. I called LG directly and they and talked to a technician first and she just kept telling me it was not her department and that she was only authorized to talk to the service repair company and not me.I had to beg to talk to a supervisor and had to wait forever to talk, for her to get on the line only to tell me that the 10 year warranty only covers the rotor and stator, not the drive shaft and basically told me I was SOL. Bottom line save yourself the heartache and money and dont ever buy a LG washer. They are JUNK and their customer service is non-existent!

I bought an LG 18 months ago when we moved to Dallas. Whatever I try adjusting the feet (no easy task, let me tell you), making sure the machine is stable by pushing the dryer up against it, wedging it against the sink, or adjusting and re-adjusting the load (because the machine stops and tells you to), it doesnt work. I had a Maytag for 13 years with not an ounce of bother, but this machine has been a headache. I usually have to wash the clothes twice because it doesnt spin well; not only due to the balance error message on the front panel, but also because it just doesnt spin fast or very hard the way the Maytag did. Sears have sent technicians out, time and again, but who wants to spend half the day waiting at home for a service call? Not me. Isnt that defeating the objective of a world that wants less time spent in the laundry room? Im going to suffer through the rest of its years and feeling annoyed at it. I will then replace it with my favorite: a Maytag. Sigh. Now, Im about to go reset it so that it will attempt a spin cycle with my quilt, but I know that bed cover will come out of the machine too wet for my liking, and Ill have to put it out in the sun for some time before I can even attempt to dry it. Dont buy LG.

My refrigerator went out 7 weeks ago. I called LG. They gave me a number to call to do the repairs. The compressor was out and LG covered it but we had to pay $500 in labor. LG sent the wrong compressor not realizing till the wrong one was installed. Called them. They sent a second wrong compressor. Call them. Was told it was dcd and is unfixable. I said my fridge is only 6 years old. They said I had to have my bill of sale. I can not find it. They told me they would figure out some other way to help and would call me in 3-5 business days. They did not call me so I called them. It was like starting all over again telling me to call the same people to come and look at it to service. After explaining several times he was short with me and rude and told me they will not help me without the receipt. What do they think? I walked out of Lowes carrying a refrigerator and stole it. I will never buy a LG product again.

On Jan 13 2018, I waited all day and sent him texted him for confirmation, he never responded. On Tuesday Jan 16 2018, he called me that he will come that day, I had someone waited at home all day for him, he never came. Then he called me and confirmed he will come on Saturday Jan 20 2018, I waited all day and he never came. Today Jan 23 2018, I chatted with Lizzy on www.lg.com, she told me that LG does not have technicians, and LG refrigerator does not have One year warranty, and my warranty has expired. She told me to call (800) 905 0210 and (718) 824 2400, I called (800) 905 0210 and was told that they do not service Queens, I called (718) 824 2400 and was told they only service Bronx.
