The washer goes unbalanced since I bought it new. Ive called LG MULTIPLE TIMES and they have done nothing about it. They finally want to send out a repairman but per my research I have found out that the repairman will change my computer board and slow down the spin on my machine leaving my clothes wet still. This is not what I paid $700 for, its deceptive trade practice. Ive called Sears and LG both and neither is gonna stand behind their product. LG customer service is horrible and if you comment with a negative comment on their facebook page they will just remove it. If LG was a honest company they would leave THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS UNTIL THEY RESOLVE THE ISSUE.

LG Electric Range- LRE30453ST. After using the self-cleaning feature in the oven, I noticed the interior looked as if it had been chipped or scratched. I then found pieces of the enamel on the oven floor. I called LG to complain. They asked me to send them pictures of the oven. After emailing them the pictures, they came back, said that it was out of warranty and I did not purchase an extended warranty. Their conclusion was that the chipping was caused by owner neglect. I was fuming since I did not do anything to cause this. I only used the self-cleaner. I asked to speak to someone in a higher position and was told that they were the highest I could go. I preceded to inform them that I would not take that as an answer. I still have the pieces of enamel that came off. I told them that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau and anyone else I knew to report this and they told me, to go ahead.Im stuck with an appliance that I wonder whether it is safe or not. I have a 10-year old stove whose oven looks 100 times better than this one. Unfortunately, I purchased a LG refrigerator and dish washer to match. I have been dissatisfied with dishwasher since day one, a hard pill to swallow.

Has been a good product overall. Some of the plastic parts have broken - cheaply made - but otherwise reliable. Has held up well over the last several years but at around 10 years starting to show some wear on the drum suspension from what I can tell. Guess most washers are only made to last at most 10 years. Then when a repairman came to see why it was shaking more than usual would probably be more prudent to buy a new washer than have the old one fixed.

After the first year of ownership, what I thought was an investment of a li
After the first year of ownership, what I thought was an investment of a lifetime, has evolved into the mistake of a lifetime. This washing machine (LG WT1201C) is depositing some kind of a black substance all over my entire wash. When rubbing this deposit while wet it dissolves into some kind of oily residue. I had three different service technicians from three different companies all of which said I needed to clean the machine more. Really??? One technician went as far as to say it had something to do with the drain line. I have used every product imaginable to clean the tub to include bleach, vinegar, tub clean from Affresh, and Tide, none of which has resolved the problem. I have even removed the drain hose from the machine, and washed it out (which should not have to be done). The slime inside the hose is not the same substance which is being deposited on my clothes. I had a very expensive set of sheets ruined on the first experience, not to mention having to drive across town to wash my clothes. The problem seemed to have subsided for a while, but now it is back with a vengeance. I called LG to set up a service call and spoke with Cyrus on 6-6-16 who informed me I would have to call back and schedule an appointment with Sears and was given the phone number of 800-905-9505. Cyrus stated these people were trained to work on LG products. I called the number provided on June 11th speaking with Donald and set the appointment for Monday June 20th and was given the repair ticket # **. On June 20th the technician didnt bother to show up or call, after I had taken the day off from work for this repair. I called LG in regards to this matter and spoke with Tori ID#**, who informed me they (Sears Center) had treated her just as poorly when questioning why the technician had not shown up or called. To make matters worse the Scheduling Department took it upon themselves to schedule an appointment for the next day, Tuesday. Again I placed a call to the Service Center to cancel this service call as I had not made the appointment and would not be available due to my work schedule. I explained, to the male on the phone, not to schedule any appointments as I would call back when I had time available. The following day I received another automated call to inform me a technician would be arriving on Thursday. Again I had to place a call to cancel this appointment. To escalate this matter even more on 6-27-16 I called the Sears Service Center, and was informed they could not schedule a service call for Saturday, as this was a warranty call and they do not do warranty work on Saturday, just non-warranty work, and I was informed, by Sears I would have to call LG back as my repair order had been cancelled, which I did, and spoke with Heather, who informed me they have no control over when Sears schedules their technician. On 6-29-16 I started the calling game all over again placing a call to 800-905-9505, and the female answering the phone said she could not schedule any appointments for any Saturday. I then asked to speak with the supervisor and spoke with Robert for the second time. When he started to say they didnt have any Saturdays available I advised him I had already spoken to him and knew he was not telling the truth. All of a sudden magic happened. I was given the date of July 9th with a service # of **. When asking Robert where this call center was he stated it was Columbia.

We have paid for 7 visits to have the door seals replaced since we bought the thing in 2006. At $110 dollars a pop and repair costs amounting to $180 each trip, we could have bought a new fridge. The shelving runners are really cheap plastic and break if you look at them so our drawers are tilted. I will never ever buy another LG. The parts are extortionate to replace and hard to get. The model of the fridge/freezer is LRFC22750sw. We are so disgusted with this abomination we will likely never buy anything LG again including TVs.

I purchased an LG microwave (model no. LMA1180ST) from Best Buy on April 13th, 2011. In December the microwave started making a noise like a fog horn and smelled of burning wires. When I contacted LG they were anything but helpful. I was told to mail my original receipt to them and purchase a new LG microwave. I was to then send them the new receipt and produce an ISBN number from the box and at that point they would honor their warranty and send me my $89.99. This microwave could have started a fire in my home. LGs policy of making a consumer wait for the warranty to be honored approximately 3 months is unacceptable as well as it is unacceptable that their product did not last a year.

LG refrigerator LFX25960SB. My problem is the same as the one found over countless number of similar complaints on LG refrigerators - after a short period of ownership, the cooling area keeps shutting off with error code “ER DH”. How is it that there are so many complaints and there is no recall on these problem parts or at least a class action suit? If anyone has any knowledge of any group action being taken against this company, I am in! I will never buy an LG product again in the future and will certainly spread the word.

Updated on 06/25/2020: I posted here on June 6 about my less than 2 year old LG French door refrigerator compressor failure. LG responded that they would resolve the issue with me. After much back and forth, they did not send me the promised email for resolution. I hope that by posting this, someone will respond and help me resolve my issue.Original Review: Bought this fancy LG in May 2018 for 2500.00 from Lowe’s. In March 2020 compressor goes out. I am still waiting for the compressor to arrive and today is June 6. I am on my fourth month with no refrigerator. Do not buy an LG refrigerator. I wish I never did!

Hundreds of thousands of these machines were recalled for going out of balance however mine was not the correct serial number even though it had the same problem. LG was useless at helping and none of the local service repair people would even touch an LG appliance unless they sold it themselves and even then they preferred not to work on them. I had to throw the washer away even though it was less than two years old (it started going uneven after 14 months so my one year warranty was no good). Never buy an LG anything.

Lg free-standing electric range - My stove is 3 years old. It has never worked well from the start. In the last 4 months, I have had the oven board replaced because it was shot. They recalled the motherboard and I had that replaced. Now once again, the oven doesnt heat up. Is there a lemon law for these horrible appliances? I was told by the appliance repair service that LG is a high end range. I had GE ranges and they lasted 10 years plus. This stove worked for less than 3 years. Original cost is $1,000, plus repairs of $200 divided by years equals $400 a year. Very expensive for a lousy quality appliance. LG and Best Buy should be investigated for selling lemons.

Bought a Lg Refrigerator model #LMXS30776S. Production date 4-2015. Linear compressor failed and neither section will cool. All food went bad and I’m disabled on a fixed income. This is the second time this has failed on this exact refrigerator. Customer should not be responsible for any charges including labor because it is a flaw in the design and LG knows this and continues to manufacture “linear” compressors that they know have issues and have several lawsuits for. My refrigerator should be fixed free of any charges as it is their design flaw. I can not afford labor charges to fix this overpriced paperweight or sealed cupboard because that’s all it is good for now. Didn’t last more than 5 years with an already replaced compressor. Shame on LG not taking responsibility for their design flaws and putting the stress and costs on customers.

Were now entering the 5th week of me waiting for a repair or replacement and there isnt an end in sight. In fact, LG is actually starting the process over. Customer service hasnt been helpful, their Executive Office has sent me in circles, and I feel like its probably going to be quicker to purchase a new dishwasher - definitely not an LG. I purchased the LG DLE2050W Dryer along with the matching washer 2.5 yrs ago. We have replaced a sensor, a fuse and when the dryer quit drying a week ago, I thought here we go again, ordered another fuse and guess what, that didnt work this time. I have had a couple of dryers over the 32 yrs of our marriage, and never had to replace more than a heating coil even with 2 boys growing up here. It is just my husband and I now, 2-3 loads a week and dealing with this is ridiculous. You have to take the drum out to get to the most minute parts and what a pain that is. So, this dryer will be stuck in the corner of the basement and tomorrow, I am getting a new Whirlpool and feel confident I wont be dealing with these issues again.

My LG bottom freezer refrigerator was 4 months old when it started to emit a chemical odor that permeated the foods and made them inedible. It smelled similar to the smell that it had when it was new that the manual said would disappear a few days after running it and it did go away. I called LG, and they sent a repairman, who opened the door, said he could smell nothing and that was it. Over 2 months, I called LG and I got the run-around until finally they said they will do nothing. I replaced the fresh air filter at 6 months to see if that would help, and it knocked the odor back for a few days, but then the odor just came back. Now, I have a brand new refrigerator sitting in my kitchen that is totally useless. Do not buy this refrigerator.

I purchase the refrigerator because of the innovative technology that it has. It is very functional and great for a large family. It also cools a lot better than most refrigerators and it is energy star saving as well. I love the fact that I had that three drawer space and also that it has open this technology to allow someone to look inside the refrigerator without opening it. Theres nothing I dislike about it except that it needs a little bit more space in the freezer portion. I would like to be able to stack meats and also have a separate compartment for ice cream and drinks.

I bought a new LG kitchen appliance set Stove/fridge in 2015, which cost a little over $5000, the fridge was in my house 45 mins from the store, I hired a plumber to install and connect a new water line for the fridge, after it was connected and plugged in, the water disperser would not work, I phoned LG right away, LG service personnel asked me how old the fridge was, I told her... 45mins, she was shocked and embarrassed, and 4 days later they sent a appliance technician to fix it.We have had nothing but problems with this fridge, the ice maker works off and on when it feels like it, the door jam between the french doors broke... Cheap plastic. The 2 oven stove burnt one burner coil out not long after the warranty was over, I contacted LG, they said for a one time fee I could have it repaired, and so on, my reply was... Ill never buy your product again. The glass stove top is very dangerous, hot pots and pans slide around very easy, dangerous around young children. I wished I would have kept my old GE set, old and ugly but still worked.

We recently went through 4 months of renovations. What a nightmare and the
We recently went through 4 months of renovations. What a nightmare and the contractor is not coming back to do the final touchups. We had our kitchen completely gutted and when it came to appliances we purchased and LG range and fridge. Both are working just fine. It takes a bit of getting used to when going from appliances from the 70s and 80s to new. We have had no problems with the fridge but then we have only been using it for a couple of months. The stove works fine. I thought getting a new stove would mean that I would wait a shorter time for a pot of water to boil but no. We are having a problem with the smell of gas every time we use the range. Whether it be the oven or burners, we smell gas. There is conflicting information on the internet as to whether this is normal. We shouldnt be able to smell gas in other rooms other than the kitchen but we do when we use the range. The other issue which is major is the knobs for turning on the burners. This is a complete safety hazard and how this design passed any safety inspections before selling to the public is beyond me. I have singed my long hair twice, once reaching into a cupboard near the stove and another cleaning by the stove just because I barely leaned against the range. The knobs turn by barely brushing up against them and instantly the burner is on before you can get out of the way. If my children were still small I would not keep this stove. It is a accident just waiting to happen. I find this design terribly irresponsible for a company to have and this range should be recalled. I also find the venting of the oven across the cook top not the best design also. When I use the oven and the burners at the same time too much heat is being created and at one time our range hood fan went off on its own and didnt shut off until the heat had dissipated. At the same time the oven vent causes the pots on the stove to heat up even more than from being on the burners and the handles can not be handled unless using a pot holder. It bakes well. We find we use the convection more because on bake food isnt crisping up as much as we would like. I guess thats the difference between electric heat and gas. Companies need to stand by their products better. Our old fridge of 25 years is still going on strong and has been relegated to the car port as an overflow fridge. I am certain that these new appliances of today would never last that long. If the new LG fridge goes we might have to bring the old one back inside. Oh and our 2 year old Samsung T.V. just completely died. What quality!!!

LG Wave Force HE machine, True Balance Anti-Vibration System, Inverter Direct Drive - bought about 18 mo. ago. First thing company did was sent me a check returning my warranty $$. I paid extra for 5-yr. added warranty. Have fought this machine since day 1 with finishing a cycle without the UE error coming on. I have king beds so our linens are larger but I do not overload. If anything, I underload to avoid the unbalancing of the tub. I even put the spin on medium in attempt to be easier on the machine. I am so sick of this thing!! I am going to sell it to the highest bidder on a Swip Swap page and hope they have better luck with it. Worst machine EVER! Seriously. It shakes so hard I am surprised there isnt a hole in the wall. The warranty company does not want to replace as per contract to either repair or replace. I gave LG the responsibility to settle claim. What a disappointment!! A few years back my husband and I purchased new LG appliances for the kitchen and also a washer and dryer - all LG products. Paid a PREMIUM price - all the bells and whistles. From day one there has been nothing but headaches with every item we purchased. From the interior finish in the oven flaking (LG and Home Depot would do NOTHING to help us. We had to purchase new range!!), to the microwave falling apart, the drying faulting out and now this horrible washing machine!! Between the mold this machine creates (yes, I leave everything open and wipe it down after each load), not always working correctly (gets confused...) now the drain motor needs to be replaced which has been estimated at $300 parts and labor!!! This is ridiculous!!! What a piece of junk and SHAME on LG and HOME DEPOT for not producing/selling reputable products and standing behind those products!! As you all know, these items are not cheap!

Ive read so many negative reviews about LG refrigerators not working that this seems superfluous but I need to vent. We purchased a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer 3 years ago during a kitchen remodel. It is a counter-depth with water and ice in the door. About 6 weeks ago, the refrigerator stopped cooling. We put a thermometer inside and the temperature was 57 degrees. We contacted our retailer, Abt, who immediately sent out a tech person and determined, with the assistance of LG tech, that the freezer fan wasnt working. The part was ordered, new fan installed, and the refrigerator temperature remained at 57 degrees. We called Abt again, tech came out and again, with the help of the LG tech, determined it was now the refrigerator fan. Part ordered, part replaced, temp still 57. Abt ordered a new control board, at the suggestion of LG tech, part ordered, couldnt be installed because it was the wrong part.We finally contacted LG. After long waits, requests to speak to managers, etc., we were finally referred to their Executive Services. Im guessing that this department handles difficult situations (or difficult people, although I havent been difficult until now, 7 weeks later). LG sent out their tech. Tech announced that the refrigerator was installed improperly because it fit too tightly in the cabinetry. Ok, this is a counter-depth, built-in refrigerator. Huh?So, LG Executive Services was called again. We asked for the installation manual and were directed to the online version. While the Exec. Services person (Tish) was on the phone, we read, aloud and together, the specs which stated the unit needs 1/8 on either side and minimum of 2 from the wall to the back of the refrigerator. The unit was installed properly. Tish insisted that it isnt and made me wait while she chatted with Engineering. Apparently, Engineering stated that there needed to be 1 on top for air flow. I asked Tish how I would have known that since its not published in the installation manual and I want a copy of that. 8 days have gone by and Ive not received anything. When I followed up today with Jenna, she said that, because I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the engineers will send the info to the BBB and they will respond to me. REALLY???Between the dates of April 4th and today, April 11th, Ive exchanged 12 emails with Marianne, at Executive Services, to no end. LG tech came out, again, with a 2nd tech at 7:30 PM! After much discussion, they determined it must be the control board or the sealed system. The control board was ordered and installed. Our interior refrigerator temperature is now 61 degrees from 57!! What a joke. So... today I spoke to 3 people at Executive Services: Tamica (totally useless), Willie and Jenna. Jenna seemed to at least want to do something. I shared that our daughter is getting married in 4 days, we are having a 40 person brunch on Easter Sunday, and I have no freaking refrigerator. The latest is... Jenna contacted the Tech Department and they want to put in a datalogger to clarify the issue. I asked what that meant, she didnt know. I asked how long it would be in the fridge, she didnt know. She said she sent an email to the tech engineer, tech manager, and Tech Support manager asking these questions. Do you think the problem with getting anything done has to do with too much weight at the top? Anyway, we have an appointment Thursday so the tech can put in a datalogger, whatever the hell it does.I cant even describe the frustration and anger held towards this company. I would have given them a 1 because, obviously, their products arent meant to last, but some of the folks at Executive Services and our tech have been nice and most seem to want to help. I wouldnt recommend LG products to anyone, ever, unless they want to be totally frustrated and throw money out of the window. Our previous refrigerator lasted 19 years and it was a Whirlpool... no brainer.[Updated on 04/20/2017] Felt my previous review needed updating and lowered my rating from 2* to 1. I still dont have a functioning refrigerator. Jenna, at LG, promised the datalogger, which never happened. After she contacted their tech people, they deemed my refrigerator installed improperly, again, and said sorry, we cant help you. So, after sending out their techs 4 times, replacing the motherboard, ordering the sealed unit, this is their decision? The unit is installed in accordance with the installation manual on line. Their engineers came up with different specs. Coincidentally, their cant fix it edict came on the heels of my response to their response to my complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Hmmmm... After reading the 1700+ complaints about LG products, the majority being refrigerators, Ive decided to take this further. I am contacting my local news station, newspaper and the Attorney General, if need be. PLEASE... EVERYONE WHO IS OR HAS EXPERIENCED THE LACK OF SERVICE, and refrigeration, from LG, TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. LETS GET THIS CRAPPY COMPANY OUT OF OUR STORES.

It wont spin water out of the machine and my clothes were sopping wet. The replacement unit continued to have problems with spinning properly. Last week, I noticed that the rug in my basement (just outside laundry area) got completely soaked with water. After five days with fans constantly running, Ive started ripping up my carpet. The pad is soaked through. It is a disaster in my basement now. And I have my house on the market. LG washer has ruined my carpet and made my house less sellable in the process!

I purchased a top loader washer in August 2012. I washed a couple loads of clothes and after drying them, they stink still. I decided to read the manual to see if I was doing something wrong. No, I sure was not. I tried the extra rinse cycle, etc. Still stinky clothes. I called Conns; they say I have to pay a 20% restocking fee. What! Thats crazy. The machine does not work good so thats a manufacture defect, not a customer issue. Anyway, they decided to send someone to look at it. The guy said, It sounds like youre doing everything right. Nothing wrong. I said, If clothes still stink, something is wrong. He said its the government because theyre trying to save the earth by using less water. Wow, so our clothes have to stink because we have a limit on water to use. This is real crazy to me. What is this world coming to take our money and dont care what we get in return? Pretty soon, we wont be a free country anymore. The government will be running everything.

LG washer drum wont turn. Called number in the user guide. Customer service gave me a number to call for repair. Turns out they are too far to service me. Logged in to LG website and called number for washing machines. It was a Sears number that services LG. I advised the washer was 3 years old and out of warranty, but the drum motor was warrantied for 10 years. She said they could not honor the warranty since I did not buy it at Sears. She said I should go back to the store where I bought it, but the store cant do anything past warranty. Talk about a complete run around. All local appliance repair centers service all brands except LG and Samsung. Guess I am screwed.

LRE3083ST - After a year and 4 days of limited use there is enamel flaking off inside the stove. There appears to be rust underneath this area and this is a manufacturers defect. The range is not usable as food is not safe to eat any food. Flakes are airborne during cooking this range. The safety issues with this range are of great concern and the lack of response and support from LG on their product, which obviously has a manufacturers defect, is alarming. LG says this is cosmetic and I would never buy another one of their products. This was a waste of $799 dollars.

We have been using our new LG dishwasher approximately four weeks so I have actually turned it on about 5 times. Went to use it today and door would not close. When I did get it closed I could not open it. It was stuck. Husband finally got it open. Latch is defective. So when repairman comes Wednesday to fix my leaking (new) LG fridge guess he’ll be repairing a dishwasher also.

I purchased an LG free standing electric range model LRE3193ST in Nov of 20
I purchased an LG free standing electric range model LRE3193ST in Nov of 2017 at Lowes and 7 months later the oven blew up! Id been having problems with the temp since I first bought the range. I bought a thermometer to check and help regulate the heat because if I set it to 350 it would heat up to 275 and if I set it to 425 it would either go to 375 or to 500. Sometimes one side of the oven would be hotter than the other. When it blew up I heard a very loud bang. The inside of the range is completely warped and the oven paint coating is blistering off. This is now also a health risk. Im afraid to turn the oven on. I called Lowes and because it was within the first year the range was still under factory warranty they referred me to LG. And thats where the nightmares begin. It has been since July of 2018 that I have been attempting to get this range repaired. LG makes service appointments with providers who dont work in my area or are out of business. I had one provider tell me they dont repair LG products anymore. I have talked to about 6 LG supervisors from in the US and about 25 LG customer service persons from the Philippines. I have been hung up on, Ive been left on hold 56 minutes at times, one supervisor actually snapped at me. every time I talk to someone they promise to call back but never do. They give me repair order numbers, I have about 25 of them, and one supervisor went as far as to give me her email. Once I emailed her, the email was returned undelivered, when I called her back I was told no one with that name exists. I went back to Lowes hoping for some assistance and they got the same runaround. I am now in the process of contacting the attorney General Consumer Reporting and have vowed to put up as may bad revues as possible. I will never purchase another LG product again or go to a Lowes or Home Depot to purchase an appliance. LG is the worst. Dont buy it.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator the end of January which was delivered the 1st week of February. Three weeks later I was dealing with LG Customer Service as the compressor had twice made a terrible grinding noise. After several calls they escalated the issue for an exchange but stated it would take 5 days & to call back then which I did. When contacted after the 5 day period they again gave the exact same directive. I was grateful Best Buy agreed to change it which they did the 1st week in April and advised if I had the extended warranty with Geek Squad they would have taken care of it right away so I bought it on the replacement. The split door on the replacement refrigerator would not close properly & the alarm for that door did not function. Contacted Geek Squad who wrote upon order for repair but the order would not allow it to be scheduled for repair as there are NO SERVICE REPS in this area. How can anyone sell products that have a manufacturer AND an extended warranty when there is NO AVAILABLE SERVICE??? Best Buy sent 3 people from the local store & they offered to replace again but they only allow one (1) replacement on an extended warranty so if there would be anything wrong with the 3rd one I would be out of luck. So today I will go to Best Buy and hopefully get a full refund and go to a local appliance dealer (who services direct) to get a different brand that will cost more. We all loved the design of the LG but I no longer trust LG or Best Buy.

We recently purchased the LG front loading washing machine. After three months it flooded our floor. We spent thousands of dollars in water removal. Upon looking online we saw that many other LG customers had the same problem with this washer. LG customer support was horrid, rude and of no help at all. They could hardly care less about their customers. After being on hold for hours I was told that someone would contact us in 5 business days. We are basically out thousands of dollars and will just recycle the machine as we dont want to sell it and have this happen to someone else. It is essentially unworkable and still under warranty. I have an LG French Door Refrigerator LFC25760SB with bottom drawer freezer. Today we discovered that the 2 light bulbs have been staying on even though the doors are closed and the plastic enclosure was extremely hot - both light bulbs blew out at the same time. Now I have read all about this and find out this has been going on in these refrigerators for years and a class action suit was filed and has been settled and closed. Yet we have never had a recall notice or a notice of the lawsuit even though I registered our purchase with LG - so we have no recourse and are stuck with a $1,700 refrigerator with no light inside - not to mention we had to have new tracks put in the freezer door in the first month we owned it and the door still doesnt go in and out smoothly. I would never buy an LG product again - they are complete junk!! And companies will do nothing for you!!

The details as to how to access the dryers internal parts dont match up with the dryer I ordered. When I explained this to LGs customer service rep he replied that its a generic dryer and we dont encourage homeowners to do the LP conversion no matter how competent they are as general contractors. I’ve been wondering why my clothes have little holes in them, get pilly and faded so quickly, and even get tied in a knot sometimes when I do a load of laundry. I finally realized it’s the new washing machine (WT7600HWA). I am so disappointed. The spin cycle is so high that it’s causing little holes In my clothes. I believe it’s also causing the clothes to get all entangled and tied up in a knot which is difficult to untangle and make them a very wrinkled. I am very unhappy with this washing machine and very disappointed. I would not recommend it to anyone. I also don’t like the cycles are so long, why should I take an hour and a half to do a load of laundry? That uses more electricity and water that way as well.

I bought $4000 LG refrigerator LRMDC2306S in November 2020. It started giving me a problem with ice making and cooling from mid January, even less than 2 months. Then it completely stopped working on 2/7/2021. I had to throw so much food on Super Bowl Sunday morning. The CL E error code on the control panel turned out to be an issue with a compressor. The part is even backordered for 2 months. I requested a replacement. I didn’t want to deal with the repair since it is definitely a lemon with a major defect. This appliance is not reliable. It will give the same problem over and over even with the replacement of the compressor. Who wants to exchange a compressor at a brand new $4000 worth refrigerator?! Pacific Sales manager was no help. I talked to many people at Best Buy customer service. They didn’t want to do anything for a customer since their 15 day return period was over and I didn’t buy their Geek Squad protection. I was told LG’s replacement or reimbursement process takes up to 6 weeks and the approval is not even guaranteed. They may attempt to repair first. I have already lived without a refrigerator for a month and now I am unsure of how long I have to live more without it. I have been calling LG customer service 3-4 times every week for a month to follow up. I have to repeat myself whenever I call for 30-40 mins because the notes are not complete and they don’t have a matching report from a tech side. Return authorization department is never connected even with an hour wait. It is ridiculous you get to use a refrigerator only for 2 months and you don’t get any help or support despite $4000 spent on an appliance with a major defect. I’m so frustrated with all the inconvenience caused by this refrigerator. I hope Best Buy and LG build up a better follow up system and prompt return service for defective products.

This is the worst machine ever. They are now selling a 2 year old machine at local flea markets to see if a sucker will buy it. True Balance means it will never truly balance and will not wash one load of clothing without it taking you hours. This machine might work on cement and only cement because if it is on a wood flooring it will not work.I have found that if I load clothes, it keeps trying to sense the clothing, then I shut it off, restart and let it go. I can get half a cycle done until it spins then is off balance again. Then you shut it off, turn it back on to spin. Shut it off, then restart with rinse and spin... You can sometimes get it to work. The worst design ever for this high priced piece of junk.LG is not a company I will ever purchase from again. Do not buy this machine and do not take this machine if it is given to you for free. All other comments are true. It will not wash clothes. It just spins around and uses endless amounts of water to balance. Hours upon hours for 1 small load. If you have this machine do what I listed above. Have the exact same type of clothing, start a cycle, let it get it wet, when it gives you the error message shut it off, restart when clothes are wet, then when it does the IE shut it off, restart on spin, then restart on rinse/spin. You can get one load done if you are lucky.LG is a horrible company. My LG phone failed after a year, the Washer has never worked... and other items. No more LG. Life is not Good with LG. Life stinks with LG and you pay the price. We paid over $900.00 for this washer and it never worked right. I needed a dishwasher. LG had a whole set of stuff on sale and I thought it looked good. So I bought it all including the refrigerator and the washer. I also use LG phones, so I like their products. Within an hour after the service people left and delivered, I noticed a dent in the refrigerator door. We then had multiple appointments. The guy came out twice and he didn’t have what he needed. Then we had more appointments that were cancelled. Finally, I had one that they cancelled and when I called the vendor that I had been dealing with, they told me that I had to refile my claim. I then got a hold of LG directly and I found out that the vendor had ordered in a wrong door and all this time, they never returned it, so LG never sent them a replacement. So the vendor kept scheduling an install and they expected me to have the door. The vendor was not knowledgeable at all.It took about nine months to get the refrigerator done. But I love it. My favorite feature is that little extra door on it, but the shelving is not adjustable enough. I can’t get them on the height I would like them. And on the dishwasher, the settings are not made for American dishes. It’s small in the rack and certain spaces, and not as flexible as my older one was and it seems to not hold as many dishes, either.

I purchased an LG topload washer - model #WT7600HWA in September of last year. Immediately I noticed that the clothes came out dingy and old looking. In December I noticed that some sort of fibrous looking matter was on the clothes when I removed them from the washer. It has gotten progressively worse and my clothes are being ruined as I have to rinse them several times and I still cant get it all off. Since January I have made at least 12 calls to customer service, executive services and now have been bumped up to product specialists. I have had 4 service calls and spoken with the manager of the department in the retail store where we purchased the machine. The LG service man who was last here acknowledged that there was a problem as he actually saw it on my clothes but told me that he could find no source for it so LG wouldnt replace the machine. I have documented with pictures and sent two letters with another going out today; have researched online and found complaints of the same thing happening to other people; and called my own appliance repair company that I have used on other appliances. They told me they had a customer with the exact same problem. They went out and took her machine apart and they were not able to find the source of the problem either. The matter that is left on the clothes looks like white/tan specks all of the clothes or it comes out in big streaks and smears. In my conversations with each and every department they have given me tasks and advice that contradict the information in their own product manual. I have run tub clean per their instructions many times. With product; with bleach; without anything; have had our water tested and drained our hot water heater. All to no avail. I think the appliance is defective in some way and LG will not replace it. It is ruining my clothes. At this rate I will have to purchase a new washer and a new wardrobe!

My two year and 10 month old LG French door refrigerator quit working last
My two year and 10 month old LG French door refrigerator quit working last Saturday, Aug. 10. I called LG Monday morning, and they referred me to their repair service, a company called ANE. After I called them, they finally sent out a repairman yesterday (Thursday), and he told me I had a bad circuit board and possibly a compressor. The parts would have to be ordered, and I probably would not have the unit working for another two weeks. The bill will be about $500. When I asked him how I was supposed to live without refrigeration for that long, he replied, Go rent one. That is indescribably bad customer service. To add insult to injury, it is quite apparent neither LG nor ANE could care less. LG Customer Service is an oxymoron. Please stay away from this company and Samsung as well (they also use ANE) until they establish a better service provider.

LG Front Loader Washer Model: WM3170CW. Purchased this washer from Lowes. After the first wash, the inside seal was giving off a smell. So paranoid about this, I made sure to wipe the inside door glass, seal after every wash. This unit leaves water in the soap tray after every wash, so I take out the tray and drain it and allow that to dry. I also have to get down and open the door with the drain tube. I drain out all the water that is - I guess - still inside the washer?! A lot of water comes out. This washer is a major pain. After continuing to do ALL of this after every use - my washer smells horribly musty and moldy. Totally unacceptable. I have put cleaning tablets in it - and even run bleach through it on the clean cycle. Still smells. This washer is a lemon. Do not purchase it. I deserve a new washer - but a different model! I expected this to be a good washer - being an LG. They used to have a good reputation. I paid $750.00 for this washer.

LG WT4870C top loading washing machine has been a nightmare since we bought it. It started by ripping our clothing and then shaking violently. They came out initially and changed the drum. That took care of the ripping problem though they did not reimburse us for the clothing. It did not take care of the shaking problem which has become very violent. Please never, never buy an LG product.

Bought our LG gas range 2 years ago. Less than 6 months, one knob broke off. I called Best Buy and they said to call LG. LG said I need to purchase knobs. The knobs are expensive. They are made of a plastic and do not have the strength to take the pressure. After swapping knobs, they all eventually cracked. I do not recommend to purchase the oven from LG. Unfortunately, it sounds that they are replacing them to their customers. We were not told that. It is dangerous when you cannot turn off burners. I would like to find metal or a cast metal to replace them. Be careful, this can be dangerous.

I have been trying to replace a broken shelf support in my 10 year old refrigerator. The part should cost about $20 and without it, the $2500 refrigerator can barely be used. I have found the part number and contacted everyone on the internet that claims to have one. One parts person told me that they had several in stock in past years but this was a high demand item and they could not get anymore. Universally I was told that the part is no longer available.I finally got through directly to LG customer service and (after being disconnected twice), was informed that LG does not make or keep parts past 7 years after a product was made. Nor did they have a substitute for it. They said I should call any local parts companies to see if they might have one lying around. I explained that no one has this in stock and asked to speak to a supervisor. The rep took my information and assured me that I would hear from a supervisor within 1 hour. That was two days ago. I have had a problem with a different (small) LG product in the past, but cannot believe how little they support their customer base. There is no way I could recommend to anyone that they should try this companys products.

We have had to replace our LG French door refrigerator for the third time.
We have had to replace our LG French door refrigerator for the third time. We had experienced failures of the water line, ice maker, fridge gaskets (now redesigned) and freezer gaskets. LG refused to honor their warranty. They stated that with replacements, only the original warranty counts. Fortunately, Best Buy did honor their extended warranty, but each time it took a full day off of work to wait for the delivery to unload the bad refrigerator/freezer, get the new one in and the old one out, and reload whatever food had not spoiled. LG denied my poor review of their product, and the CEO has not replied to the certified letter he received over a month ago. LG simply doesnt care. Every Consumer Complaint website has multiple entries noting problems with LG.

I bought a set of appliances from LG less than 2 years ago. First the stove failed after 6 months. They came and replaced the main board. Then dishwasher started acting weird. It sometimes work, sometimes doesnt depending on its mood! Called a technician who said it will cost $450.00 to fix. The biggest problem just happened yesterday. The refrigerator stop working. Everything in the freezer section became waste. About $400 - $500 worth of food got wasted. All 3 appliances failed less than 2 years time. Now, I do not really have money to get the fridge fixed. I have never seen anything like this before. I am giving 1 star because there is no 0 star! In the middle of summer, we have no fridge!

Purchased a new $2K+ LG refrigerator 4 years ago as part of an entire kitchen suite. The compressor (sealed system) failed, and while the labor wasnt covered under warranty, the parts to repair the refrigerator was covered. I had a LG certified technician make 5 separate visits trying to repair my refrigerator and it was never fixed. It simply will not cool anything in both the refrigerator and freezer. Thus, Ive had to go out and purchase a new refrigerator at my expense. Ive tried to go through the LG process whereby they would consider replacing or reimbursing my refrigerator. They have continued to deny my request, thus the reason Ive been forced to purchase a new refrigerator to replace my LG unit that was barely 4 years old. I will never purchase another LG appliance as they do not stand by their products.

We purchased an LG WT4970CW washing machine in August 2014 from Best Buy. Shortly after using it, I noticed some of laundry would be dry on top, especially sheets. Sheets would be pulled tightly across top of drum and be completely dry - obviously were not touched by water and detergent. Then, on subsequent loads, the machine kept giving error message: UE which means the load is out of balance. Machine shuts off in middle of cycle and you have to open the lid, pull the laundry out and rearrange it, close lid and machine turns on again. However, during one load, this happened up to six times and it took me four hours to complete one load of laundry. I dont stand by the machine while it is doing its job, so when I would expect the laundry to be done, I would go to my basement only to see the UE displayed which meant it wasnt finished.I had a repair person come to my home last week (10/2018). He called and spoke with an LG technical support person. He explained the problem and was told I was doing the laundry incorrectly. The LG agent told him I have to wash only like items at one time. In other words, if I have a load of jeans, tee shirts, polo shirts, mens underwear, socks, I need to sort the clothes and wash the jeans separate from the shirts, separate from the underwear and socks!!! The machine goes out of balance almost every time I wash two bath towels, one hand towel, and one washcloth along with a nightgown and some underwear. The LG agent said I should only be washing towels (up to six bath towels) at one time and nothing else. This is not how REALITY works! It would take me a full day to do the equivalent of two loads of laundry. It would also defeat the purpose of the water-conserving feature of these new machines. I would need to do six tiny loads of laundry in place of my normal two loads. Also, I do not have enough clothing to wait until I have a full load of just underwear so it is a normal-sized load. I dont even have enough pants and shirts to wait until I have a full load of just pants to wash. This machine is only 4-1/2 years old and I have to replace it. I also bought the extended warranty, but was only offered a one-year extension for parts only. Of course, the warranty expired in August 2016.The repair person said there were no parts to replace or would make sense to replace, because the cost of the repair would be almost the cost of a new machine with no guarantee it would fix the problem. He told me my complaints are very common complaints he has heard over and over from his customers regarding their LG machines. The repairperson highly recommended I buy a Speed Queen TR7000 which works almost the same way my 35-year-old Maytag washer worked and it comes with a seven-year materials and labor warranty. Cant wait to give the LG machine the heave-ho and get the Speed Queen machine! I will never buy ANY LG product as long as I live.

Then they cant find a service person in a 14 mile radius and they will call me back in 3 to 5 days. If I were sick and wait 3-5 days I might be dead by. I purchased a Blast Chill LG refrigerator/freezer in March 2013, paid $3,700 for it. Of course the warranty has expired. A week ago, my ice maker stopped working & the refrigerator started freezing my produce. I called LG & was told to adjust the settings. The ice maker still did not work but the freezing stopped. Over the weekend (on a Saturday), my refrigerator was not cooling properly & the food in the top drawer of the freezer was melting. I called LG repair & was told that someone would come to my home on Monday between 1-5 pm but would call with a 2 hour window. They assured me that they had diagnosed the problem (my refrigerator has a system that they can use to diagnose using my cell phone). They assured me that the repairman would have all the parts with him and the cost would be $225 flat rate for parts and service. At 3:34 pm, I called LG to let them know I had not heard from anyone and they told me that they would text their repairman. An hour later, I still had not heard & called back. They again texted the repairman. Within 5 minutes, I received a call & was told that he was 20 minutes from my home. The repairman arrived and spent less than 10 minutes, all the while speaking to someone on the phone who was directing him on the review of the refrigerator. He told me that he had to order a part, a Grill Fan Assembly, and that he did not have the part available on the truck. He told me that the customer service operators were overseas and had no idea what they were doing. He told me he would squeeze me in the following day for the repair between 1-5 pm.At 3:45 pm, I sent him a text using the number he called me with the day before. No callback. I texted the number again at 4:45 pm. No return. I called LG who told me they would text him. I got a call within 5 minutes & the tech told me he would be at my home in 18 minutes. He arrived and changed the Grill Fan Assembly (while in and out of his truck talking on the phone) and left about 6:30 pm telling me that the refrigerator should start cooling. Needless to say, I woke up this morning and the food in the freezer is all defrosted, and the refrigerator/freezer is warmer today than yesterday, and the defrosted food is leaking all over the floor.I called LG repair this morning & spoke to someone in India (same as the first two times I called), who told me that the best they could do would be to send someone out on Friday or Saturday, 3 days from now. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that no one was available & that I could check the website for new available times for repair. I have now called a local repair tech and they have assured me that they will be out this morning to assist me with this problem. I would rather pay more to have the problem fixed correctly than to deal with LG. My entire kitchen is KitchenAid except for the refrigerator, I liked the LG better when I was looking for new appliances. WHAT A MISTAKE!

I also have emailed LG a letter and let them know I wont be spending anymore of my hard earned money on their products. At least they dont make any life saving devices I hope. In September of 2012, I purchased the 31 CF capacity LG French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. Right away, water leaked out onto my tiled floor. The store manager actually came out and fixed it for me; he replaced a faulty part, and no more leak. Then, when we would set the freezer temp to -2 degrees F, the panel would light up with error codes, and the water and ice dispenser wouldnt work. LG service said not to set freezer below 0 as it causes the mother board to freeze up. Had to unplug it for six hours, to reset it. ??? Why have settings if you cant use them? Went along fine, but ice cubes remained a bit watery. Then one morning last week, opened freezer to a mess of thawed food. Then the error codes began coming on again. It is so sad there is apparently no quality control at LG!! Beautiful concept, but for $3300 one would expect to get more than ten and a half months out of a major appliance! Calls to Geek Squad with a promise someone would contact me within 48 hours. No call for over a week! I raised Caine, and now they are replacing my unit with one of my choosing. I am going with the new, four door Samsung with Soda stream. Fingers crossed! Get it together LG!!!

After trying to work with them they had a recall on a part. After that was installed the washer is slower which I reported right away. Unfortunately, the compressor broke on my LG refrigerator. I filed a claim and it took them roughly two weeks to fix it. They couldn’t send anybody out and the day that I had it scheduled, the guy cancelled on me at the last minute and said that he got the wrong part. So me, my husband, and my little baby were living out of a cooler for two weeks because no one could fix our fridge. I was super upset because it was a brand new fridge that we bought and it was four years. Eventually, they fixed it but I still feel that it doesn’t cool that great. Then they told us that we should only be keeping it 40% full, which is ridiculous because you don’t buy a fridge to only keep at 40% full or it’s not gonna work properly. But that was what the technician told us. We’ve had ongoing issues with this, too. All the little baskets that you can put the milk or sauce containers on are breaking off because the plastic is so brittle and there’s a weak point in it. The design of the plastic is not well-designed. When you spent $2,000 on a fridge, you don’t expect in four years that the containers on the door that you should be able to store things in, are gonna break off. Then the replacement is $90 and when I read all the reviews, people are saying not to even bother replacing it because it’s gonna break again. So, my husband and I decided that we’re never gonna buy an LG again.

We purchased our LG refrigerator 3 years ago and have had two problems with it. A year ago, the valve controlling the drinking water ceased working and it cost us over $200 for the repair from Freds Appliance in Madison, Ohio. A month ago, we noticed a mushroom type growth near the base of the refrigerator and discovered that the water line feeding the drinking water and icemaker had a slit in it and was spraying water on the floor. The flooring is ruined and the repairs, not including the fridge, exceed $1,300. Freds denies any responsibility with the problem even though they are the only ones that have moved the fridge since it was initially installed. In conclusion, the purchase of your product was a terrible mistake and we have difficulty understanding how a company can ignore problems like this.

We are an LG household. Washer, dryer, and refrigerators. Our main kitchen refrigerator, a 2016 model, stopped working in July 2019. First failure. LG send out their authorized repair technician who came and changed the compressor. It worked for about 2 weeks and died. That was the second failure. LG sent out another technician who said the previous technician had done an incomplete repair, he said he completed it, and left. The refrigerator worked for a few more days, then died again. That was the third failure. The fridge has now been non-functional for over a week, and the repairman is not scheduled to come for another week. It is not good to send repairmen who are unable to perform a satisfactory repair the first time around, not to speak of the extreme inconvenience of losing three refrigerators worth of food (from three failures in the span of a month). Looking back, I would have much preferred a replacement machine after the first machine failed, or a refund after the second failure. We are now on the third failure and not thinking good thoughts of the LG refrigerator company.

We bought this LG WM3670MWA washer and paired dryer at Nebraska Furniture Mart in in June 30,2018. The Silk screened Cycle Name lettering is now dissolving and even rubbing off the washer. LG says its COSMETIC damage because something other than warm water and a damp cloth was used to clean the washer. We use Shout as a pre-wash and have for the last 15+ years. Our 13 year old Samsung front loaders never had any issues with lettering rub off. I sprayed Shout on a 9 year old silk screened plastic cup and let it sit for a week, adding Shout each day, and its still perfect. Never buy another LG Product. NFMs $270.00 extra warranty was worthless for this as they say if LG says its cosmetic, theres no reason to even come look at it. They only cover mechanical breakdown. Not happy with performance either. Also, Turbo-Wash times are reasonable but will only take 3 items (?).

I purchased a double door with bottom freezer, an LG refrigerator model LFD22860. One year after purchase, the cover on the electronic control started to melt (was covered under warranty). Two years later, the right side door seal ripped, and I called the warranty service line. I was told it’s the first time they hear of this problem, and that my warranty was over anyway. I had it fixed by a local repair company at $189.71 for a seal. Immediately within 24 hours, the door was rubbing with other side and started to get damaged. I called the service company to verify if it’s an alignment issue, but the doors are fixed on dowel pins and cannot be aligned! The only thing we could do is to put Vaseline to the doors often (RIDICULOUS). Anyway, even with Vaseline both sides, it ripped within a few months (I wasn’t about to pay $400 for seals!). It doesnt end here. Upon closer inspection, we noticed approximately ten cracks everywhere inside the fridge. This absolutely DISGUSTED me. We paid $2200 for this pile of junk, thinking it would last us for some time. Im fed up of big name companies getting away with cheap products sold in todays market. All they could tell me was that my warranty was over and that they cant do anything about it. Since then, I have never bought another product from them, and never will including my family & friends.

I went two months at one time without a dishwasher when the dishwasher was fairly new. The customer service did not want to hear from me or help me in any way. This dishwasher cost $700. I had it for 5 years and had to get rid of it. Needless to say, I will never purchase LG appliances again.
