We bought this LG refrigerator 2 years ago. The ice maker has started to work intermittently about 6 months into ownership. We live with it until 18 months into ownership when it quit working. We change the filter, reset the machine, search the Internet to find solutions nothing worked. Finally two years into ownership we Paid Over $200 to repair the ice maker on a new LG appliance.

LG true balance washers are a joke. We spent a ton of money on this unit and it rarely finishes a cycle. It has a large capacity but you can only wash a few items at a time if you expect a cycle to finish without getting the UE message. Had them out many times and all they can say is we should sort our loads. Worst purchase ever and we will never buy LG again.

My husband and I purchased this top loading LG washing machine on January 2, 2019. Mid February 2020, as I was doing laundry, I heard an extremely loud noise. The washer had jumped all over, dented our wall and the frame of the washing machine was bent outward. The top was also popped off. The warranty was only 12 months, therefore out of warranty. The process that LG gives us for filing a complaint is extremely difficult. We have been given standard email responses. As of today, they have not contacted us to discuss the matter and resolve it.

This dishwasher cleans great. The problem is that every couple of months I get an OE error which indicates that there is a clog or blockage. Our filters are always spotless yet this continues. The way I fix it is to disconnect the drain hose at the sink and use a shop-vac to suck all the water out of the dishwasher. This thing is way too sensitive and after reading all the reviews I realize I made a mistake by buying it.

I believe I should have read all the comments people made on LG products before making my purchases. Sadly, I now have to be among the complainers, in Aug 2016 Ive purchased all LG appliances. I am already experiencing issues with the refrigerator and service. Refrigerator is constantly running, I swear it may stop for 5 min and run for hrs. I am tired keeping track. Ive called and emailed LG, their response was perhaps the doors and leveling need adjustment. In short, I contacted the store that I made my purchase from, & was told to call the warranty dpt. & when I did, the earliest that the technician can come out to check it out is mid-Sept. OMG what have I got myself into. Nobody needs to go through all this. Come on manufacturers start getting serious and listen to what people are saying. We are not just making noise, these are legitimate concerns and complaints. As consumers, we are paying high prices for appliances we should get good years of use without complaints.

Purchased unit new approx. 15 months ago; one of the benefits of this unit was the high-speed tub helping to dry clothes-- reducing dryer loads. While in use with only a queen-sized mattress pad the tub broke away from drive unit during spin cycle and sent the unit literally bouncing-off the 2 nearest walls (destroying drywall). The unit top and rear panels were separated from the body, and the body walls were expanded (rounded outward). The unit wouldnt fit through door frame. This could present potential safety issue!!! Beware!!!

I am not one to leave reviews for products... especially negative ones. But I have been so frustrated with our customer service at LG that I figured this was my only recourse. We have an LG refrigerator that is less than four years old. We paid about $2500 for it. We kept the one year warranty that came with it when we purchased it new. Within six months we had to use the warranty because something went wrong with the ice maker. It was frustrating that we had to wait about a week to get it fixed, but it was fixed with no cost to us as it was under warranty and all of the service and product was covered.Since then, the middle plastic drawer in the freezer broke and we eventually ended up just removing it from the freezer. Most recently our ice maker stopped working and eventually the refrigerator stopped cooling. After making no less than six phone calls to customer service and following their trouble shooting, we finally had to call a local service provider. The problem was that we could not find anyone in our area who worked with LG. Literally every place we called stated that LG was difficult to work with and their systems were difficult to diagnose. We found an LG certified technician about 45 minutes away but they wanted $200 plus mileage to come out and look at it. (Our one year warranty was up, so the only parts covered were the compressor and coils. Service was no longer covered). After making several more phone calls to LG, they told me that if I could find someone to look at it, then they would work with that technician to help us get it fixed. All I needed to do was to give them the contact information of the provider that we were going to use. Even after I did this, they told me that it would take 3-5 business days for them to approve the technician (at this point it has already been 4 weeks without use of our refrigerator). I asked for a supervisor and the policy was that they could not give me the direct number of a supervisor, that I had to wait for a phone call in return. I am a physician and do not have access to my phone during most of the day. When the supervisor did call back, she did not leave a return phone number, nor did she answer my question and instead, just reiterated that it would be 3-5 days for them to approve our technician. When the technician did come out, he discovered that there was a blockage within the sealed system that was causing the Freon to not move freely throughout the unit. His recommendation was to junk our refrigerator because he would have to completely take apart the sealed system and stated that this was too difficult. In his words no one in their right mind would take this apart and fix it and left it up to me to deal with LG because of past experience, he would not work with them. After more phone calls to LG and them refusing to provide me with the service department number (citing privacy policy), their solution was to call an LG certified technician. So I was back to calling the person who charged $200 plus mileage (the only one I could find within 60 miles who would come look at it). When I spoke with the technician on the phone, they indicated that they do sealed system work because LG wants to uphold their warranty. It was going to be a minimum of $400 to take apart the refrigerator and could be up to $1200 because it was so labor intensive. Keep in mind, that I spoke to several technicians who stated that they would total it, but the LG certified technician was the only one who would do the work.We have decided to just junk our refrigerator and buy a new one that is NOT LG. This is ridiculous because our fridge is less than 4 years old and we have already had these three major issues. In all of the phone calls to the LG customer service department, not once did I get any empathy or an apology for what we were dealing with. Not one customer service representative offered an alternative solution. They provided only barriers for us to get our refrigerator fixed. As I shared our story with our friends and family, we heard other experiences of very poor customer service and products through LG and we will never buy an LG product again.

Let’s see. So my French door fridge (model # LFC25770SB) is only 2 years old. Weve had it since May 2010. It was bought brand new from Home Depot for our new home. It has worked fine until 11/14/2012. I came home from work and the entire bottom cavity (freezer) was thawed out and everything completely ruined (my Thanksgiving meal, since we went shopping a few days prior)! The freezer isn’t keeping anything cold, so therefore neither is the fridge! The fridge was 47 degrees when I got home! I called LG on their emergency line the night it happened and was told that the food that I lost would be covered in part. Not the case! They refused to cover anything. I have to wait up to 3 weeks for a new part, which I have to pay out of pocket for, and the labor that is included in fixing this part! Needless to say, a 2-year-old fridge was obviously a piece of **! I lost over $500 in groceries, not to mention the insulin that I had in the fridge because I’m a diabetic! LG lost this customer! And I doubt they will care to do anything! All they say is they are sorry! Must not really be sorry, because I should have gotten a reimbursement for some of the product lost because of their ** appliance that broke after, seriously, only 2 years! Do something LG!

I bought an LG refrigerator and it was a horrible purchase. I had to have it fixed and I had to pay for a repair guy to come out six times. The last man to come out told me that the previous technician that came out didnt know what he was doing, and he was terminated because he was caught lying to customers. I was also promised by LG a voucher for thousands of dollars worth of food I had to throw out because of all the times my refrigerator broke down. I sent in the receipt and I have a copy of the email but I never heard from them again. I never received the voucher for the food. I am a single mom of four kids and for me to lose thousands of dollars worth of food is completely disgusting. I would never buy an LG product ever again. It was a fail on their part to do what they were supposed to do and its taking everything inside of me not to go to the Better Business Bureau or to contact my lawyer regarding this.

I purchased an LG washer in Sept. ‘09. On June 13, 2013, I attempted to wash a medium size load. But when I went to put the wash into the dryer, the washer was flashing OE. I checked the manual and did as instructed. The drain hose was not bent, pinched or clogged. I clean the filter. Finally had to call for service and was told the motor assembly A/C pump needed replacing. This machine in not 4 years old. Guess thats why the warranty was for only 1 year on all the smaller parts. What kind of company makes such items and can only guarantee the said item for 1 year??? Thank goodness for Worry Free.

Updated on 09/18/2019: Update to my prior post of July 2019. It is now September 18, 2019 and my refrigerator is still not fixed. The most recent cooling issue started in June 2019 and it is still not fixed by LG. I call every week and every week Im told that they are sending my issue to the Escalation Dept who will call me in 2-3 business days. No one ever calls back. Finally someone acted like they were going to replace it. After I uploaded receipt provided by Lowes. The new person who answered the phone said no replacement until a service person says it cannot be repaired. So, I said I dont care whether you replace it or fix it, I just need it to work because it is now 50+ degrees inside the refrigerator. Of course, this new person is referring my case to the Escalation Dept and Ill be calling again next week to try to get my refrigerator fixed. I doubt it will ever be fixed but Ill call every week until someone shows up to try to fix it... DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR!!!Original Review: NEVER BUY ANY LG APPLIANCE! The LG refrigerator I bought (which cost over $3,000.00) had an error message about cooling by the fan within 24 hours of the refrigerator being delivered. It took about 6 months and at least 4 visits from a repairman (after many, many phone calls to try to get a repairmen sent) before the issue was fixed. Then, 4 months later, I have the same error message with the same fan issue. It has now been over a month since the issue started again and it is still not fixed. I could write 10 pages about the horrible customer service at LG and the slow and horrible service companies they LG has assigned to fix the issue. I will certainly never buy another LG appliance and I recommend that no one else ever buy an LG appliance. Any manufacturer has got to have a better product and a better customer service function and better service companies that they engage to act on their behalf.

I was on the market for a new fridge but I didnt do so with a specific brand in mind. The LG I have now just so happened to be what I preferred when wholly considered, monetarily included. Along with a lot of others Im sure, my favorite part was of course the ice/water section built into the door. It made life that much more convenient, which is something we as a species crave seemingly primarily, convenience. The side by side design was weird to me at first, I mean compared to the traditional top and bottom design which has the homey feeling of childhood, that felt more like staying the night at a buddies. But over time Ive grown to love it overall.

LMXS28626S.ASTCNA0/French Door. I bought it for the good looks, but there are a few annoying and serious design deficiencies in the refrigerator, as follows: 1. The ice maker storage is in the door, which causes the ice inside to clump together and stop making ice if the door is opened for a couple of minutes while cleaning the inside. The storage has to be cleaned out, and sometimes reset, in order to work again. 2. The water dispensing spout is far from the pressing mechanism, and water splashes outside the glass if it is small. I have never experienced this before in any of my previous refrigerators3. The French doors do not stay in place when opened - the left tends to shut, while the right tends to open all the way.

Purchased on July 2016. Stopped cooling on June 15th. Seems like after reading other reviews, mine is not so different. Compressor goes out and service call takes 2 1/2 weeks to fix. So LG built a bunch of refrigerators that last only three years. Wow, I have a Kitchen Aid that is still going after 19 years. Let’s see Canada or Korea. Would not buy ever again. Customer service horrible. Said they wanted feedback and haven’t heard a peep from them since.

I bought the French door with bottom drawer pull out freezer & ice/water in door refrigerator Model# LFX28968D (& matching dishwasher) in July 2017... delivered mid Sept 2017. Spent $3200 before tax. Compressor failed May 2021... Fridge looks like operating normally but nothing frozen in freezer, no cooling in fridge and obviously no ice. Turns out my model# along with some other LG models have KNOWN COMPRESSOR FAILURE problems... But yet they kept producing them... And when compressor failed - they replaced with same (if still under warranty) and in a large number of cases-those replacements also failed! Remember-even though the compressor may be covered you still pay for time/ labour on repair visit. There was a class action lawsuit in USA that was settled and compensated everyone in Feb 2021-but this is only in USA not Canada. Personally I think they would have upheld their reputation had they done a recall... It’s not just a loss of a few hundred dollars... We’re talking thousands for the product, hundreds in frozen/refrigerated food loss and hundreds in repair labour fees (maybe multiple times)... I am fortunate to have purchased extended warranty from the business where I bought the fridge... which I don’t typically do. The repair company was great - came quickly and they already had this part stocked because they’ve been going to multiple calls with this issue. When it comes to the next new fridge I need to buy it will definitely NOT be an LG product... because when the compressor fails (once or more) Life’s NOT Good! I’m not sure this will actually get published but this is the link to the class action lawsuit details that includes all the model#’s. **

I purchased my LG dishwasher (Model LDF7774SD) in May 2016. It is less than a year old. Starting in February 2017, the dishwasher started having issues. The soap tablet compartment does not dispense the soap tablet, leaving the dishes as dirty as when they were loaded. I have tried liquid as well and after the cycle is finished and you open the door it is running down the inside of the door. LG sent a serviceman to repair the dishwasher twice, and it is still not operating. He replaced the motor as well as some other parts. I have placed nine calls to their customer support center, with no resolution. They keep stating they are sorry for the inconvenience, but refuse to replace the unit.Today May 21, 2017, I contacted them again, since I have not heard from them. First I was directed to their customer service in the Philippines then to their operation in the Bahamas and then to their support center in Costa Rica and back to the Philippines. You can barely understand the representatives. They are more concerned with updating their system notes than correcting the problem and providing good customer service. I asked to speak to their engineering or quality control department, but was told they have no way to contact them, and could not provide a phone number. In addition to the soap not dispensing, dishes fall over when going through the cycle, as the tines are spaced too far apart. Many of the glasses after they fall over, fill with water, and surprise when you open the door... water everywhere. When I spoke to a customer service supervisor, and asked him what I should do until/if they repair or replace the unit, he said I guess you will need to wash them by hand. I have never dealt with a company like this before. I will be submitting a complaint with the BBB. Forget about contacting the number listed on the web, for the North American Corporate office. You cant reach anyone. If you try to leave a message, it states the voicemail is full. I will never buy another appliance from LG. (Life is Good) NOT! If I could give them a negative rating I would. You would be very wise to stay away from this company. Why any retail store would carry their line of appliances is beyond me.

In 2008 I purchased a four piece kitchen appliance set from LG. Within a year the knobs on the stove started to cracked. I was not aware that there was a recall in 2010 to replace these knobs. Since purchasing this set I have had to replace the dishwasher and the refrigerator as both of them stopped working or begin leaking to the point of repair costing more than replacement. I contacted LG about the knobs recently and they informed me that if I was the original purchaser they would replace the knobs one time for free. After one month of waiting I did not receive the knobs and gave them a call. They then informed me that my request was denied which is why I did not receive the knobs. According to their records my stove was unaffected by this issue. I offered to supply them with pictures of the knobs proving in fact my stove was affected. Not only did they not care that I would never buy LG products again but they did not even have the decency to call me and inform me that they were not going to fulfill the commitment of providing me with the knobs. I purchased a $3,000 refrigerator from LG. It looks beautiful. From the first month, I have had nothing but problems. I was so glad I bought extended warranty. Unfortunately, the warranty is useless because even the replacements become problems within a few months. This company has extremely poor quality products and extremely poor customer service. I have had an ongoing issue with mold growing on the inside of a piece of plastic on the front of the shelves. The company, without even coming out, told me it was not their problem. The company repairman came out to repair the perpetually broken ice-maker and told me the black line was due to inferior quality Korean plastic. He said it would only come back so he couldnt replace it. Then came an odor which would not go away even though my fridge was immaculate. This odor then took over the ice and water and even with the replacement, the water and ice are unusable because of the taste. The mold has to be coming from within the plastic. I have broken this plastic front piece due to putting Clorox on it every few months. But it continues to grow back. This is a potential health risk. The company refuses to even replace the piece of plastic that had to be pried apart in order to put Clorox in the mold. This is not normal, especially since there is nothing in my fridge most of the time. Be very careful and check this company out before purchasing. I have spent so much time waiting for repairmen only to have them tell me that the problems are not under warranty or that it is something not repairable.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

He said that the main bearing has gone out. He told me to get a Whirlpool next time. I asked him if he has seen problems with the LG washers and he said yeah, they arent lasting as long as they should. Given that I am out of work and also cannot get to a laundromat, purchasing a washing machine is not something I look forward to doing. So we are going to keep using it until it completely freezes up. I am extremely disappointed in LG and just hope the LG dryer will continue to function.

I purchased a LG French Door Refrigerator through Costco in December of 2015. The refrigerator completely stopped working, it has a completely closed system so very hard to see anything. Called for help on March 11th, 2017, 15 months after purchase and still in two year warranty period. After much BS they finally agreed I was still under warranty and sent out a service request. I live in a county of 500,000 people. They had ONE service person for this entire area. That person called late that night to say they were not doing this anymore, could I call LG? I did, I am now waiting for someone from out of this area to come work on Refrig. Its been 5 days, no call. Will call Costco tomorrow and see what happens next. LG clearly has NO interest in caring for its products if they have ZERO technicians in a community of 500,000 people. DONT PURCHASE LG!!!

Note that we have owned refrigerators for over 35 years, so are quite good
Note that we have owned refrigerators for over 35 years, so are quite good at evaluating them: we like the LG refrigerator overall, the interior layout and the 2 freezer drawers but, it has several annoying drawbacks/problems: (a) the flipper on the left-hand door, which flips to allow the door to properly close, has an extremely close tolerance, and we have already had a repairman come in to adjust it so the door would properly close (he told us its a common problem and showed me how to do it in the future). (b) The design of the ice dispenser is terrible, as it is nearly impossible to position a glass without some ice chips falling outside the glass, and, if you do not notice that someone has left the dispenser switch in the ice setting (a tiny light indicator) and you want a glass of cold water, the ice dispenser dumps out a load of ice before you can stop it, or vice versa, and if you have a visitor, make sure he/she doesnt go to get ice/water by himself; (c) the unit is noisy, as the case vibrates - if I press against the side the vibration stops, but starts again when I take my hand off; and (d) when it was delivered a small plastic part was missing on the flipper hinge, I asked Customer Service if they could just send me that little part, but no, they said they had to send a repairman, which required 2 visits as he could only replace the entire flipper assembly. We would show a friend these conditions before buying an LG.

The compressor went on our LG side by side refrigerator after only 3 years during the 4th of July weekend. Took 4 days to get technician to look at unit. He was here 5 minutes. Took pictures of model #s. Said he would be back in two days and replace compressor. LG said they would contact us regarding food loss. Nobody contacted us and they allowed $150 total for frozen and refrigerated foods. The compressor was ordered before the technician even looked at unit. I will never buy an LG product again.

Its a terrible design flaw. Rust is on the hinges where no chlorine or detergent goes. I have pictures... Paint will not help. The entire under part of the area above the bin but connected to the place where you put detergent or bleach is completely rusted out and the metal is so bad. I can stick my finger through it. They sent me an email... that the rust in your washing machine bleach dispenser is a result of the detergent or other additives being spilled that have not been wiped clean. Chlorine bleach is corrosive and will erode the finish if not cleaned immediately. If any spills should happen make sure to wipe it up immediately and the area cleaned with warm water and a soft cloth. Touch-up paint maybe use to cover the area, if not service may be necessary. How could LG design a washing machine that uses bleach and detergent knowing full well that it might get on areas besides the stainless bin and get under this area and all around the entire top of the machine and rust out. That is what happened.

Wow! So glad I read these other complaints. I thought I was doing something terribly wrong to have my just washed clothing smell so foul. Bad product. We should get our money back, but it doesnt sound like we will. We, the consumer, who purchased this product have been pretty much robbed of our dollars. They do not back their product. We lose. It makes me very angry since we work so hard for our money.

Purchased LG washing machine (WT5070CW-top loader) for nearly $1,000. Machine started rusting around the bleach dispenser. Researched issue and apparently this is a problem for many customers. Customer service appears to be a call center in India. They told me that there were LG models recalled for this same issue, but not my model and that it must be my fault that this issue occurred. Rust stain spreads each time I use machine so that eventually it will ruin my clothes if I keep using it. Very disappointing.

Horrible experience! Bought Range less than eight months ago. The oven stopped working after three months of having the Electric Range. The tech was very professional, but he had to come three more times and change the motherboard. I was finally done with this range since the oven stopped working every three months. After the third visit, I requested a refund, and the company wanted an original receipt and was just horrible customer service, and I was told that process could take 14 days. I was told without a receipt I wouldnt get a refund for their defective item. I am glad I had a receipt, but the customer service was so horrible went it came down to the refund process. Never will I buy another item from LG, considering how unreasonable they are with the whole process. Also, I have never purchased a range that needed repairs 3 times in the first eight months of purchased. NOT IMPRESSED....

We bought a side by side Refrigerator Freezer in June of 2015, on August 10th it decided to die. I believe it was the compressor. I called LG and they gave me 3 different numbers to call. Two of them were out of state. I called the first number and they said they would charge me $600 just to come look at it, and then they would have to order parts. In the mean time all of my food was spoiling. Neither of the other two numbers answered their phones. Obviously no one was available to even look at the refrigerator. Its not like We were forced to go buy a new one you can go for weeks without a refrigerator. I will never buy another LG product, as the reviews show they make defective products.

Have had an LG French Door refrigerator for close to 5 years and it is already breaking down. Have taken great care of it, replacing all filters when needed, keeping it cleaned, just went in back of it and cleaned out any particles or dog hair and yet it just wont stay cold. In addition, it mysteriously stops making ice many times. Despite everything seemingly working. All of these issues have started 1 month after a maintenance guy from LG came by to service it. Making it seem all the more of a bad buy. Look at a different brand!

Ive had range for 18 months. When I auto cleaned the oven for the first time (dont use that often) three months ago, the F3 button started flashing about 2 hours into it but it continued to finish cycle. So then the phone calls finally staying home from work for a service repair who takes an hour to assess the range and then he needs to order the part and have it sent and then then set up another appt. but it worked. So I cleaned the lower oven 6 weeks later and the control panel shorts out again. Service is coming so well do the same thing all over again. Why have a self-cleaning oven when every time you use it, the control panel burns itself out? Is it faulty insulation?

On June 6, 2010 I bought an LG wm2301hr washer from Best Buy. Today we found that this washer had a slow leak in a faulty valve at the top of this unit that must have been leaking for a while. It was just a slow steady drip for a long time until today 3-2-2012. The way we found was that there’s a moldy smell in the closet behind the wash room with lots of black mold growing under the baseboards. Now, we have ruined carpet, ruined clothes, ruined sheetrock and baseboards and a washer that I have to fix myself. I expected a lot more quality for an $1100.00 washer. Best Buy said sorry. LG said sorry out of warranty. Wow, with the water dripping on the motor, I don’t even know if the machine is safe to put back in service. Any help would be great!

A couple years ago, we had a problem with the knobs on a LG gas range installed in a rental unit. The labelling on the knobs wrinkled due to the heat from the oven, and there was another problem that I dont recall now. After contacting a local appliance store and getting a referral for replacement parts available at a substantial cost, we contacted LG directly. They were very helpful and sent a new set of replacement knobs free of charge. Since there were a number of similar complaints posted at that time, I wanted to post this as a possible solution to the problem, even though my posting is long after the problem was solved.

We bought lg model lfx31925st/00 side by side refrigerator for over $2000. From day one ice maker leaked water to floor, ice froze together as a chunk, or didnt work. LG has had repairman out 3 times, and totally replaced ice maker unit, had repairman check water lines, and overall refrigerator condition. I have also paid and had same company out to replace ice maker. Its a defect in the model, we got a recall card months ago, but heard nothing else. Recently new situation, (now out of warranty) glass shelf over drawers, literally blew apart in a million pieces. Well we must have called them a hundred times by now. Now that its out of warranty, they tell us to go online and buy items. They are not going to help us. With all the LG refrigerator issues, any knowledge of this recall? Any suggestions?

I spent a lot of money on the MOST expensive LG refrigerator, stove with two ovens, dishwasher and microwave. The refrigerator model: LFXS30726S/00 is the French doors on top and the pull out lower freezer with 2 drawers on bottom. I have had these for three years. I have 5 kids. We live in a nice, well kept home. Nobody trashes our things and yet these expensive appliances have failed us many times.Refrigerator started collecting ice in the very back behind the panel (2 months into owning it). The compressor is bad after 3 years of owning. The part is covered but I have to pay $400 towards the labor and the parts not covered. I just lost 100s of dollars of groceries (just went to Costco and stocked up two days ago). The repairman says that he replaces this exact part over and over. LG knows that the compressor is bad and they won’t fix it. LG has foreigners who can barely speak English take your calls and they play dumb. The dishwasher is all scratched up and dented from little bumps that never dented my GE Profile appliances (granted they were not stainless). The upper and lower oven are a great concept but the upper oven burns the bottom of almost everything. The glass panel on the lower oven door had what looks like dark grease running in between the glass panels and you can’t clean it.The microwave has been pretty good but it came shipped with a broken part. The refrigerator water filters are super expensive for what? THEY ALWAYS LOOK DIRTY. ALL PRINTS SHOW UP. Every little thing shows up on the stainless. Sears told me that they had upgraded the stainless on this product and the handprints don’t show like it used to... BULL CRAP. They look dirty from the time you get them until eternity. You can wash them every single day and they still look streaky and just plain embarrassing. And to top it off, we have no refrigerator for 6 people until Feb 28th providing that the part comes in on time. He says that the compressors go out on almost every one of these refrigerators and they are perpetually on back order. LG, you should be ashamed of yourselves. This stinks. I cannot afford to take 6 people out to eat every day. I trusted your name and fell for the looks of the product. Super disappointed with this purchase!!!

Purchased a model LFXS30766S and paid a lot of money for it. Purchased in 2014 and it died in 2020. Called three places before I could even find a person to come out and look at an LG. Technician with 35 years experience came out and said the compressor is shot. Not drawing the required amps. Called LG and they said it is out of warranty but they cover the compressor for 10 years so not to worry. They gave me a work order number and said the compressor and labor would be covered and to call back in 24-48 hours to see if the repair is approved. I called back in after 48 hours and the lady told me my claim number was not correct, all my information was there but not my name.I was told again not to worry and someone would be calling me back and I confirmed with her that my work order number was valid. I waited one week and when I called back the lady told me again that my work order number was not correct. She told me that she can see where I called but my fridge is out of warranty so they need to reach out to the place that looked at it to see if they will do the repair but I will be responsible for the labor. She asked for the name and email for the repair place and I gave it to her. The repair place with 35 years experience told me not to waste my money trying fix an LG. Its just going to break again and again. He told me to suck it up and put my money towards a better product. They will not perform the repair because of the POOR quality of LG. Now the lady gives me a number of a place that is 1.35 hours away (Rochester. I live in Buffalo) to set up for the repair. I guess that the fact that no one within a 1.35 hour radius of a major metropolitan area will touch an LG shows how horrible their products are and how bad they treat their customers. Called the repair place they gave me and Im still waiting for a call back. I run a large worldwide company and I will make sure I let everyone I know understand my exhausting and terrible experience.

Our LG Tromm DLE2516W dryer would not start the second time in 6 months. LG is the only source of repairs. They will not sell parts to anyone but their own approved shops. All bookings are through them. I have a 2007 dryer. LG quoted $95 for a technician to look at it. They designated Priority Appliances to do the work. Priority said they would charge $125.00 to visit and do only 15 minutes work for that price. LG would not honour their quoted price. This means a minimum of $125.00 + parts + installation time + taxes -- the price of a replacement machine. Nobody else can buy parts in Canada. This is a racket to overcharge customers as much as possible.

First, it was the ice maker that I needed fixed then it was the fuse. After that, it was the French doors that rubbed against each other so I couldnt close it. Then it was the side vent inside the fridge. Now, its my compressor thats not working; that’s what the service guy told me yesterday. I purchased a LG refrigerator Lfc25760st from Home Depot. Within 1st year the plastic parts inside were cracking and falling apart. It started with the wheels popping off the drawers like they were nothing. I called only to have them accuse me of being extremely rough with my new refrigerator. Then said I had to get someone out there to look at it. Guess what? I live 2 hours from the nearest service dept. So Id have to pay for that, mind you its still under warranty at that point. I call and find out Ill have to pay the 50.00 and 0.35 per mile of which LG will not reimburse me. So, I just skip it because at that point the drawers still side out without the elcheapo made wheels. Then everything else begins to crack and break. So I call again.Im so mad because they will not help me and its now 100% clear that its LGs fault this is happening. I have my old GE side by side that is 20 years old, been through teenagers, young kids and moving 3 times. Its still running and the insides are great. Not the LG!! My drawers all falling in! The rails have cracked and the drawers fronts are even cracking off. Never has there been such a completely uncaring company that is unwilling to rectify problems that are obviously their fault. Its time for a class action law suit. They went cheap on production for these refrigerators and we the consumer trusted this company to produce a quality appliance. I now walk away from everything LG and Im not the only one.So much for wanting a nice stainless french door refrigerator for my kitchen. I have contacted the company over 6 times and get nothing but run around. I even tried to get them to at least give me some type of discount on all the parts that are broken that should not be. It will be well over 400.00 to replace all the broken parts not including shipping. I have talked to other people that the exact same thing happened with them. LG also told them they have never heard of these problems before. Gave them the exact same run around. They replace their insides only to have them all break again. Im done. Its lawyer time.

No, once the order was put in process by supervisor for technician there is nothing else to do but wait.ON ANOTHER NOTE: Im from Maine. Fridge purchased in Maine. Maine has Consumer Goods And Maine Express And Implied Warranty Laws. I do not know about other states, but is worth a look. In Maine regardless of what warranty the retailer or manufacturer gives, Maine law gives consumers a 4-year warranty and the Retailer is who is responsible and who you deal with, not the manufacturer. So when offered the 3-yr warranty, I say, No thanks, because Im covered by Maine Law for the 4 years.

I bought my LG refrigerator five years ago around 2013. Within two years the compressor failed. LG replaced it and paid for labor and parts. Now 2018 compressor fails again. LG sends me the parts and says it’s up to me to get it fixed but the compressor is under a 10 year warranty for parts not labor. Problem is nobody wants to touch it. I’ve continually asked LG for help and they refuse. Worst customer service and refrigerator I’ve ever bought. Cost was over $2500.

We had bought a washer/dryer combo LG top load machine through Costco and within 3 months the washer would not turn on. It was working fine one day and the next it lost all power. As advised we reset our breaker and reset the outlet, both were working fine. Called LG on 6/13 regarding the issue and was told within 3 business days they should have a technician out to fix the machine. We waited patiently till the 18th, spent about 10hrs between costco and LG customer service, to be told that the service was cancelled by LG. They put another ticket in and asked us to wait again for another service provider to come out. Waited again till the 22nd, still no communication of an appointment day/time, and called LG customer service to be told earliest appointment may be the 30th.My wife is a healthcare worker, and her laundry is piled up in the garage for the past 2 weeks and she is running out of clothes!! When we explained our situation to LG customer service supervisor Sarah, my wife was told there is nothing they could do. That we had to wait. When we asked to speak to someone above her, I was told there is no one above her she is the highest person I could talk to! We asked for a replacement since the machine was just bought on March 10, and was told by Sarah that we needed to go through Costco for a replacement. So we called costco who in turn says it must be done through LG. NEVER BUY LG PRODUCT!! All you will get is a run around on a new product not even 3 months old!!

Steam washer Model #WM2688 - My son gave me an LG Tromm washer and dryer set for a Mother’s Day/Birthday present in 2008 and I was thrilled! In the beginning it was so quiet I wasnt sure it was running! About 6 months ago I noticed it was getting a bit noisier. Then it suddenly started rocking during the spin cycle. My husband checked it for level and it was perfect. We manually changed the spin cycle to Medium in hopes it would no rock during the spin cycle. It got progressively louder as time went on. I want to add that there are only two of us and we do 4-5 loads of laundry per week. This machine was not working hard for us. It finally began making a different sound and was getting even louder. I called for a repairman. He tried out a couple of cycles and said, Your bearings are going out. I asked if that was normal, for a 7 yr. old washer and he said, “I see it all the time. Sometimes at 5 yrs. and sometimes at 10 yrs. When I asked what it would cost to repair he said he would write out an estimate for me. When he handed it to me I thought hed made a mistake. $829.22! Its a $900.00 machine new! He then said he wanted to look and see if anything was under warranted. The stainless steel drum had a lifetime warranty so my bill dropped to $531.20. What kind of a company sells a machine that much to repair? Repairman told me that he sees this all the time and rarely does anyone pay to have them fixed. I dont consider a $900.00 washing machine exactly a throwaway! I am thoroughly disgusted with a company that continues to build a product with a known problem leaving its consumers to pay for it! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT. I will also make sure that no one that I know doesnt either.

We have had our LG refrigerator for only about five years. We had to replace the compressor 18 months ago when it conveniently went out on us a couple days before Christmas and now the compressor has stopped working again and we are relying on an old 40+ year old refrigerator in our basement to keep our food cold. I would never recommend an LG refrigerator to anyone. One more point we searched and searched for anyone to even come and work on the thing and waited more than two weeks for a service man. I’m done.

Worst company by far. We bought a LG fridge 2 years ago worth over $3500 and the fridge broke down over a week ago. I contacted them. They sold me the flat rate which cover parts and labour. The repairmen come on the Monday. I thought was pretty good till he broke the fridge behind repair and told me that is nothing he can do but he said, Dont worry. You have choose the flat rate. They will have to send you a new fridge.A week later nobody get back to me. I had to call them myself. All that wait for someone tell me that they will give $800 toward a new LG fridge. What a joke. They send someone to fix my fridge they broke it behind repair and now I am the one with no fridge. They just dont care. I will tell everyone I know to never buy anything LG. I will never buy LG again ever. I also have two LG tv and a dishwasher. I will put them for sale and buy new one. Never ever again LG will be in my house or anyone I know please do yourself a favour - never buy LG. They are just crooks.

We have had to have the fridge serviced several times. One was a recall that I was not aware. When we called for services, tech told us a circuit board went out and it had to be orders, thus await for repairs. It also has a high pitch noise when compressor is running and the front stainless steel is hard to keep clean. We have not been pleased with its performance and it is only 2.5 years old. We would not purchase an LG again.

Was given phone number, after a 45 min. wait, to a TV repair business. What a joke. This morning we smelled burning electrical odor. My husband removed back cover and sparks were shooting out and wires had already melted. Imagine if we had gone to work or been on vacation?! Total hazard. LG Ultra Capacity WM2101HW Washer Garbage. I purchased this LG washer based upon the reviews of Consumer Reports - BIG MISTAKE. This washer has been loud from day 1 and started leaking about 4 months later. As others have said it unbalances and gives error codes often. I had it repaired once because it stopped draining. A technician visit and parts cost $400 -- that is when I learned that you actually have to drain it yourself. Who designs such a washer in this day and age? Now brown liquid is coming out of the back of the machine and my clothes and sheets smell like sewer after they have been through a complete cycle. I leave the door and soap compartment open between uses. What a waste of money - horrible product. DO NOT BUY LG. I will replace this POS as soon as I can afford.

I like the ice maker and smartphone functionality, its pretty nice. I can connect it to my phone, play music on it, pour the water to almost any temperature nearly instantly, open sections without touching it, and more. I like all of it, my refrigerator has so much functionality I couldnt imagine switching to anything else, except maybe the Samsung one. The price was good. The overall fridge is just perfect.

I found the washing machine not working ... its burning from within, black burning internally - arched inside on the wires - caught fire. LG does not want to recognize that there is a problem... This is a huge legality and liability for LG. No machine should catch on fire... LG needs to make it right. Could this model be a recall? I found a lot of bad reviews on this model.

We have only had our LG stove for 6 years and it now has a large, jagged crack across the entire top. We have not dropped anything on it and have taken very good care of it, so it had to be the heat from the burners. We also have an LG dishwasher which we have had to have repaired NUMEROUS times. AND we have an LG refrigerator that, all of the sudden, the light bulb inside wouldnt turn off and it was heating up all of our food and we had to have that repaired. I was so frustrated with my LG Front load Dryer we purchased in 2016 as after about 1.5 years use, the dryer started DESTROYING our clothing. Clothing would catch off the edge of the lint filter ending up in a twisted knot, shredded. I checked online for other people with a similar problem and found someone else experienced what I had. I had my husband take a look and he found a collection of lint stopping the filter going in all the way. He added a cardboard extension to the long narrow vacuum cleaner attachment. (Has to reach down 10 into the narrow channel.) We could not believe the amount of lint was sucked out. PROBLEM WAS SOLVED - filter goes all the way down. Hope LG has fixed this issue in future models.

I hate LG, worse company to deal with when you need customer service or system repair. 69 days and still no resolution on my $2,900 refrigerator. After 1.5 years the unit quit working, after 50 phone calls and several attempts to fix their unit I still have no solution. They suck, they don’t care about the customer, they keep escalating my case and each time it takes 3-10 days to get an answer. They say they will contact me and they never do, I have to call them 3 times a week to keep things moving.Missing time from work to be home for repair people, they made a mess in my house. Open the system under pressure and sprayed refrigerant oil vapor in my kitchen and dining room… They don’t care about the customer at all… Keep apologizing on the phone, yet their action reflects zero effort to correct their defective unit. All the local LG service companies refused to work on their product, Technicians told me they can’t fix it and they will not touch an LG refrigerator sealed system. I have to say it’s the worse customer service experience of my life, I am so mad… Who can live for over two months without a refrigerator?

LG gave an approval authorization for an LG tech to come out since the issues related to the recent software update and I did not purchase an extended warranty. Robert the tech was punctural and very receptive to my issues. He was able to punch out my dented front exterior and the rotor and stator was replaced with brand new ones. So far I have done 4 loads of wash and the machine performs as new! Lesson learned- always request an LG Tech when your seeking service. I dont think Sears, Home Depot , Lowes or HH Gregg should be blamed for any mechanical issues. The only thing these distributors are guilty of is having the latest and greatest appliances for sale. My next washer purchase will not be an HE though. I will buy a standard Speed Queen if they are still available when that time comes- for I have read down the road, the government may mandate HE only for residential consumers. Lets hope not!

I purchased the LG Probake gas range 2 1/2 years ago. Of course after a year the warranty was up and I had to have it repaired. It cost 300.00 to repair and it is very hard to find someone to work on it. I was told LG doesnt have spec sheets for anyone to repair their products. It makes it hard. I was also told that it is hard to find parts as LG Discontinues them frequently. Got it fixed in December of 2019 and here we are again. The convection oven stopped working and was shooting out flames. I researched and found out this always fails on this range. Totally disappointed. Couldnt find anyone to repair it in my area and I tried to order the part for it and spent an additional 80.00. Still can not get it to work. Now I am at the point of buying a different range and definitely wont be an LG. I am so upset. I wasted my money. It was the first brand new range I purchased for my family and I have only had it for 2 and a half years.

After 4 1/2 years, after buying 4 matching stainless steel appliances for the new home, my refrigerator started making loud noises, like an airplane landing. We knew it was a problem, but didnt have a real sense of urgency because the fridge was still cooling; figured wed attend to it when we had time. Then it began cooling inconsistently. Then it finally crapped out. We called customer service and they had us contact the approved list of repair companies. I took the day off, had the repairman look at the fridge (and I do mean LOOK AT it, as he didnt have the parts on hand), and was told it was the compressor that failed and the work would cost over $1000! The part was covered under our 5 yr warranty, but the work was about the cost of a new fridge and wasnt covered. So, the $200-300 part is covered but the $1000 work to install isnt? Gee, thanks, LG!After looking at what a new comparable one would cost, we couldnt find one and came to the disappointing decision to just go with the repair. The repairman was very nice and said this isnt the first hes seen and doubts itll be the last. So VERY disappointed in LG for making such a flimsy, unreliable product! I was a big fan of LG previously - having had a TV, Blu-ray disc player, etc. - and had NO problems, so I thought that competency would apply to all their products. Very wrong and very disappointed.

I bought my LG refrigerator model LMX21981 in Nov. 2008. In the last 6 months it started freezing the vegetables in the crispers. I have had a serviceman out 3 times. The first time he followed the instructions of LGs technician and it was okay for about 2 weeks. The 2nd time he came, the tech had no advice for him. The 3rd time he just shook his head and said there wasnt anything else he could do. For the cost and short serviceable life of the fridge I would think LG would be interested in giving better service on their products. I bought the refrigerator July 2016 plus a 5 year warranty. The first year the water flow from the in-door water was very slow. I had to call for service and they fixed it. Now July of 2019 (3 years) the whole refrigerator stopped working. Customer service is a joke. Ive called customer service three times, speaking to three different reps. The first one walked me through a reset and literally said that she guaranteed me that would fix it. She said check in eight hours. I did and it was not working. This was Friday and they are closed for the weekend. I spoke to another rep the first of the next week and he said that it would take until the following Monday for a tech to look at it to diagnose. That will be the ninth day without a refrigerator and freezer. He told me to prepare to be without a refrigerator for another two weeks after the tech makes the diagnosis and orders the parts. That will make 23 days from the time I reported. I spoke to a third rep to find out how to get reimbursed for the loss of $1500 in food. She said she could only authorize a $100 reimbursement. I recently looked at the current reviews and realized everyone is experiencing this same problem. I will never buy an LG product again.
