Never will I buy LG products again! My 35 yr. old Fridge finally died. So I bought just what I wanted Door in Door stainless steel. In 11 mos I lost ice cream in my freezer, Logan Appliances installed a new computer board. Well it is April 11, 2020 and it’s done it again! I have NO confidence that this won’t happen again. I paid almost 2000.00 for a piece of junk... I intend on going on EVERY forum I can to get this resolved once & for all... This is Saturday but on Monday 4/13/2020 LG will be hearing from me! I have read the many reviews (bad) on LG. I am willing to take legal action, if they do not satisfy me once & for all.

This is the second microwave of this model. The first one worked fine for a year - until a few days after the warranty ran out. It was cheaper to buy a new one than to have it repaired, so we bought a new one because it matched the rest of our LG appliances. This one lasted less than 3 months. Home Depot requires 3 repair attempts before they wil take it back (even though we have the extended service plan on this one), so we got in touch with LG again. The same repair man came out and took it apart and put it back together again, saying he couldnt find what the problem was. It worked after that - for 1 day. When I called the repair company again, the tech said he would contact LG for us and get it taken care of. He did contact them, but we have only heard from them once to request more paperwork. Still waiting for the follow-up call a week later to get a refund. I will never buy another LG microwave. Very disappointed in their customer service.

My 2-door side by side refrigerator is only 4 years old. The inside back has hairline cracks all over it from top to bottom. The plastic handles and door shelves are all broken and duct taped. I called and text them and all they say is how I can purchase new ones. That will never happen. I will never purchase LG again. Its not like my husband and myself ever abused it and we are the only 2 people that have ever touched it.

LG dryer SN 611KWBY00437, model number DLE5977S and LG washer SN 612KWFN024
LG dryer SN 611KWBY00437, model number DLE5977S and LG washer SN 612KWFN02411, model number WM2277HS/01 - We purchased this set of front loaders for obvious reasons, or so we thought. We wanted something efficient, low cost to run and something big enough to handle the capacity of clothing that 3 teenage girls throw at you and 2 teenage boys, then of course, mine and my husbands along with being able to wash a comforter for a king size bed and actually get them clean. This is not what we got with the LG front loaders at all! No matter how often we use the tub clean, the washer still stinks! Ive washed the rubber gasket inside and out thinking something is lodged in the gasket making it stink, but nope, its the tub or better yet, whats under the tub. They that claim its a buildup of soap and fabric softener, so I asked the LG representative how I could get rid of this horrible smell that wreaks through my home while washing a load of laundry and how do I get it to stop ruining my clothes. Ive had to throw away towels and clothes because the washer makes my clothes stink and the stink wont come out! She said that is not something theyre obligated to fix, which really turned my attitude from pleasant to obvious anger and asked her If anything goes wrong with your products, your obligation to fix because you damn sure arent doing a good job or there would not be so many complaints! Needless to say, my family must deal with the problems of the washer. Now for the dryer, out of the blue the dryer sounded like I put a few bags of rocks inside. It was so loud I just knew the drum of the dryer was going to explode! So, I called Sears to have them come and take a look at it and fix it. He said, I hear the noise and understand what you are talking about, but I cant find where the problem would be at. Drum belt, rollers or split drum. He felt bad about it and told me this has been a frequent, continuing problem with the LG front loaders and I know the guy felt bad because he didnt even charge me. He works for Sears and we know how they are about that $75 service call. So now, Im back on the phone with LG and they told me to do what Ive already done and that was to call Sears for repair. When I told her I already did that and went through all of that, she said if the repairman doesnt find a problem, then the dryer is fine and should be working properly. I turned it on for her and she was just so sure I put something in it for dramatic purposes! I explained to LG, a minimum of 10 calls, that the washer stinks and is ruining my clothes and that my dryer is obnoxiously loud, takes 1 hour and 39 minutes to dry clothes, which is the maximum time you can put on this particular dryer and the clothes still may be damp. She said I was probably overloading the drums. If 6 towels is overloading front loaders (washer and dryer), then the quality of LG is of very, very poor quality. With so many people having these very same complaints, LG should take pride in their customers and recall these items. When you spend $1,900 for a matching washer/dryer front loaders that claim to be efficient, but it takes over an hour to dry clothes, it doesnt sound very efficient to me. Needless to say, if anyone ever asks me about LG washers and dryers, I will not only tell them to run, but to sprint like their butt is on fire because they will be wasting their money. The washer tub stinks, which makes your clothes stink. No fix. The dryer is horribly loud, doesnt dry clothes very well at all. Finally, the belt and/or rollers on the dryer tub broke and the heating element went out. An expensive fix and a very common problem with this product. Do serious research when youre ready to purchase a new washer and dryer. No way would I ever recommend LG products.

To my dismay, I learned that LG only had a warranty of 90 days. I cant believe that you can pay $1,100 for a washing machine and they only guarantee it for 90 days. Guess they know what I didnt. It is a lousy machine and they already know that it wont last much longer than that. Save your money - any machine out there has to be better and cost a lot less. Also most machines are guaranteed for at least 6 months, and most for 1 year. I will NEVER buy another LG product.

I purchased an LG washer and dryer from Home Depot about 18 months ago. I got their top model at the time top loading. After about 15 months I noticed the paint around bleach dispenser beginning to bubble up and so I removed the blue tray only to find machine has been rusting. I thought perhaps its because when pouring bleach we sometimes get it between the plastic and machine. Then when looking under, I noticed the entire machine has massive rust buildup to where its flaking and falling on the plastic edges of the drum. After contacting LG about this issue they pretty much said Im out of warranty and oh well. At the rate of the rust Im guessing another 2 years and metal clips / screws will pretty much break during a spin cycle and nothing I can do about it except share this troubling issue to save someone else thousands of dollars on LGs poorly protected product against moisture. That 10 year warranty sticker is such a gimmick since these wont make it past 5 years with the crazy rust buildup. I did some research online and found that many other users have gone through the same frustration. I hope all the negative reviews will get LG to better insulate metal surfaces in their machines. Even my car comes with 10 year 100,000 mile warranty against rust yet washer has no rust warranty?

LG Washing Machine model WT1101C - After 2 years of normal use this machine failed. It was sold as heavy duty. Under normal use the drive shaft broke off inside unit. Called customer service and was advised to call service tech in our area, he never returned call. Under the LGs useless warranty they stated we would have to pay for service call. Filed complaint with BBB and went no where. Also, supplied pics of receipt and broken part. They offered a possible courtesy visit from tech and would not supply replacement part or refund. Guess they will go out of business if they had to honor their warranty for all the POSs they are unloading on the consumers. No customer service or ethics to this company. No stars for this company. Will never buy LG brands again!!!

Purchased fridge a year and 1/2 ago. Just my wife and me home. First the piece at top of left door for closing broke off. Then a short time later, the cheap plastic for drawer slide broke. I purchased a brand new 36 door in door refrigerator. It died after just 28 months. It was out of warranty but LG offered me a out of warranty deal. I paid $320 to have the problem repaired no matter how big or small it was. After 4 weeks of waiting, countless phone calls and emails, I found out that LG do NOT have one single company who will repair their appliances be it under warranty or not! The products look nice but they are all JUNK! Absolutely no service, warranty or satisfaction whatsoever. At the same time I purchased the refrigerator, I also bought a over the range microwave, dutch oven and dishwasher. I got less than 2 months out of the dishwasher before the black stainless steel started to peel!!! LG should not be allowed to operate! This business is horrible!

Heard good things about it from sales, however once I bought it and actually used it, I realize that the cost of this item was much higher than others and I could have been happier with a less expensive model. But I like the side by side which was easier to get what I needed, like the choice of colors offered too. I chose black. Not too much more I liked, the shelves were arranged with adequate space for big items like milk and juice. The freezer space is too small in width and limited in space for large items, the ice dispenser should have choice on type of ice and ice maker freezes too fast. Hard to find filters for it, ice maker broke and couldnt get a replacement. Will not buy again.

I bought this very top of the line energy efficient LG washer and dryer for over $2,500. I wanted to be environmentally considerate. But now I have to wash my cloth 2 or 3 times to get them clean. The washer does not allow enough water to the cloth to get them even fully wet. The sports clothes of my teenager still smells bad after 2 wash. When I called the company they send out a technician that did literally nothing but read the error codes to someone over the phone and then told me that the machines are not meant to give water to get the cloth soaked and hence my cloth cannot get clean! If it bothers me that much I should consider buying a top loader that will allow enough water to get into machine to actually wash my cloth. I dont even want to start talking about the washer bouncing around and not getting balanced. I had someone 3 times here to try to balance the machine so it does not make all this noise but then was told that my floor is not leveled and this is the best they can do. This is the worst machine ever and I feel I was ripped off! NEVER again a LG in my house!

Firstly, the first refrigerator that I received in September, 2018 did not work at all. The Brick replaced it with the floor model until they could order me a new one. Initially, the whole scenario was a nightmare for me. It is all good now except for the fact that the stainless steel is always streaky, no matter what I use or do. It is very frustrating. I have tried almost everything, including the wipes, vinegar & water and just water and cloths. If anyone has any ideas, help! I am thinking it may be a poor grade of stainless steel. I am disappointed with the finish on the stainless steel.

I bought an LG Dishwasher in October of 2017. In March of 2019 (less than a year and a half later), the electrical control panel stopped working so I was unable to use the product. Since it was 5 months past the warranty, I was charged $135.31 for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. I was informed that I would then have to pay for the repair and labor after the technician ordered the new part. When the technician arrived, he had a new electronic control panel (so he already knew what the problem was before even looking at the dishwasher) and told me that I would not be charged for the repair or labor because this was such a common problem - that they had the NEW MODIFIED electrical control panels in stock. He said that in the NEW MODIFIED control panels, they have added a moisture barrier because in the old version, moisture from steam would get into the control panel and ruin the electrical system. I asked him why there hasnt been a recall on this product since it was so common, and he said that he didnt know why but there has been a Service Bulletin released regarding this same issue. I then called customer service to get a refund of the $135.31 that I already paid, and they would not give a refund even after being escalated to a supervisor. I asked to be escalated again and was informed that he could not do that. I tried to call the President of the company and got no answer and no way of leaving a VM or email. Considering this is a COMMON DEFECT in the product and a modified control panel has been created for this issue, there should be a recall and all expenses paid. I want my refund of $135.31 since this was LGs defective product and not anything that I could control! A complaint with the BBB has been filed and I will continue to let people know that they should stay away from LG products.

About 75% of the loads will experience an out of balance error. The washer will attempt to recover by entirely filling with water, agitating and attempt to re-spin. Doesnt work. Even after re-positioning the load, rarely will it complete the cycle. We generally end up removing about half the load and try to spin in batches. We have to babysit the machine to prevent it from using more and more water. We will never buy another LG product and do our best to dissuade others from making the same mistake we did. I purchased a $3000 LG fridge in April 2013 (less than 8 months ago). About a month ago, it started making a loud noise. I contacted Home Depot (where fridge was purchased) and they scheduled a tech to come look at it. He fixed it by defrosting a fan and setting the temp on my fridge higher. He warned to not have the fridge set too cold or the fan would keep freezing. Great, warm food. Less than a week later it broke down completely. We are now more than two weeks without a fridge. I have called every single day to try to get a tech out here and LG not only refuses to send someone out but cancels the techs scheduled by Home Depot. They have no time frame as to when they will allow someone to come out or when the fridge will be repaired. My five month old son has digestive issues and is on a special formula that has to be refrigerated. When I called LG to schedule repairs Bonnie from public relations told me I could ask my neighbor to store my son’s formula for me. Because I paid $3000 to use my neighbor’s fridge not to use my own fridge. The level of heartlessness LG and all their customer service reps show is beyond shameful and frankly Im shocked theyre still in business. Life is not good when Ive been storing my son’s formula in an ice chest for two weeks, feeding my other kids fast food every meal because we cant store any cold or frozen food at home, and LG has the attitude of we already have your money so now you can go F yourself. I will never ever buy an LG product again. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. No response yet from LG. Let me pretend to be surprised. At this point the fridge now stinks, is completely useless, and LG has no plans to repair or replace my fridge. Its under warranty and I had purchased the extra protection plan. Its completely unacceptable to allow a family to go without any fridge at all for two weeks and counting. Its unacceptable to know a special needs child could go hungry without his formula and NOT even send a tech out to look at it. Looks like I spent $3000 on a useless piece of crap.

Not satisfied with my LG Refrigerator #LFX25991ST. I purchased this refrigerator in February 17, 2013 and now the freezer/and main food compartment doesnt cool or freeze. However, the interior light does work. Called LG and they advised me that a Tech would be out in two days to check it out. So we bought ice. The Tech did arrive in two days, checked it out and found that the compressor had failed. My Fridge is still under warranty and should not have a problem getting it fixed, but its new. I kind of look at the fridge as buying a car, turns bad there is a lemon law that protects the customer. The compressor is like the engine of a car going bad. Well, the Tech did call in to Atlanta, Georgia to request a new compressor and should arrive in two days. He said it would take three (3) hours to replace. We will see this Thursday, Jul 25, 2013, if he is correct or even shows up.

I bought my LG top loader in 2012 and was initially happy with my purchase. After about a year I noticed some rusting at the bleach dispenser but I just ignored it.Fast forward to 2017 and it has turned into a full blown big deal. It has rusted out, corroded, ready to crumble! I contacted LG and they were happy to send someone out to fix it for a flat rate of $245, to put another defective top on it that I would have to replace in a couple of years, whether I use bleach or not, because this has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with bleach! Upon doing a little online research I learned that I am not the only one having this issue, there are dozens, perhaps hundreds with the exact same problem! Yet LG swears that WE are spilling bleach and they are not liable for any repairs! But many washing machines before have had bleach spilled and did not rust like these do, so it must be a defect that LG will not fess up to. I am mad! That they are getting away with this and ripping people off!

I bought a top loading LG washer from Home Depot in March 2016. By October 2016 it was smelling like mold & mildew. I did everything I was suppose to: use washer cleaner in it and run cleaner cycle once a month, it continued to get worse. I contacted LG Customer Service & Tech Support in December 2016, they scheduled a repairman to come out. He put cleaner in it & ran a cycle, and confirmed the smell. I called a week later, complained again. They sent repairmen out 5 times over the next 3 months who each did the same thing and confirmed the washer stinks, at this it reeks, and each time they said it was unrepairable. But, LG would not deem it unrepairable over the phone on Tech Support with the repairman and this is the only way you can get a new washer. Two different repair services were coming out at this point and both refused LG request after multiple visits to my house. So 3.5 months later I had wasted 5 work days waiting on repairmen time windows of 5 to 6 hours to come to my house, pour cleaner in my washer (which I am a very competent, college-educated person who can pour cleaner in a washer and press a button) & then have both repair companies tell me they will no longer waste their time coming to my house. I also has a plumber come out and inspect my lines and hookups ($114.00) cost to me and tell me the smell was definitely coming from washer. Now, LG says nothing else they can do!! I was sold a lemon, had it less than six months, and started having issues. LG is the worse company I have ever dealt with. They make you jump through hoops like a circus dog and beat you down hoping you will just give up. This company needs to be held accountable for their non-actions. Please do not buy LG products!

Pants have been ripped, undershirts and most recent a jacket that I paid a lot of money for. What is going on this this washing machine? There is little to no water, and the wash cycles take hours. This is worse than the laundromat! Don’t buy LG, no good. Lifes NOT GOOD LG!

LG is one of my favorite brands. Thus far, Ive had no issues with it. LG has got to be one of the most innovative brands regarding household appliances. I just liked the refrigerator best. The way it was displayed at Best Buy was very appealing. The style, its features, and how practical it came across. The customer service representatives at Best Buy were very convincing as to how convenient the latest LG refrigerator would be. And boy, were they right. Its very nice. Its interesting, efficient, and easy to use. But I would want the water filter to be cleaned more often. Otherwise, I have no issues with my refrigerator. The LG brand works really well. I highly recommend it to anyone.

The refrigerator was recommended to me by a friend. I really do take pride in this amazing refrigerator for sure. I cannot say it enough. It was a standard basic refrigerator and had an ice maker in it. It was stainless steel and a shiny grey and was hard to stain or beat up. Even with a child in the house this refrigerator is so darn durable and I absolutely love it. It was a good refrigerator and kept the food cold like all refrigerators should.. This refrigerator was definitely built to last for years and am so glad I found it. I even got a good deal. This refrigerator belongs in every single home. I cannot say it enough.

After reading all of the reviews that I just read, wishing I had read them BEFORE I purchased this $2,300.00 piece of JUNK! I have had nothing but trouble with my LG french door fridge from day one. Icemaker not working, no cold water dispensing, broken drawers now freezer not working. Loud sound from freezer, thinking it was going to catch on fire. The worst of it all is their customer service SUCKS!!! Purchased at HH Gregg. They suck also!!! We even purchased extended warranty!! I get nothing but the run around, it has taken me 6 weeks to get anything acknowledged. Still not fixed, and just received a letter saying there is a lawsuit against LG for this model. Surprise, Surprise!!! Never Ever will I ever purchase anything LG EVER!!!!

We purchased a refrigerator LFX31925SW, which I thought was top of the line. 2 months shy of 3 years, the compressor went out. Of course it was out of warranty. I did call LG tech support/customer service and they gave me the phone number of an LG authorized repair company. I called, they had retired, gone out of business. I called LG back, numerous times, I even used the chat online, I was told the same thing each time, it had to be an LG repairman. We live in a small town, kind of rural, I explained to them (over and over) that I had tried for 2 weeks to find someone to come and check our refrigerator, they kept insisting that they have LG repairmen all over the country. Someone would get back to us. Well, 2 weeks after that I received a message on my phone that they would go ahead and approve the one company I was able to get a hold of to replace the compressor (the compressor has a 10-year warranty). When I spoke to the repair company they had spoken with someone at LG, but LG had not faxed the authorization. I have called LG numerous times and get a different response every time. We have now been without our refrigerator a month now. We paid 2500.00 for this fridge from Home Depot 2 and a half years ago, you would think it would last or that LG would honor their commitment. I do not see us buying LG ever again in the future.

We are senior citizens who downsized from our house to a co-op. For our co-op we purchased all new appliances. Among the appliances is an LG electric induction range. We moved into our co-op on September 22nd. The range has not operated correctly with one of the cooktops not operating at all and the oven door constantly looking and requiring reprograming. The range was purchased from Lowes and it was recommended that we purchase the extended warranty which I am glad we did. According to the serial number the range was manufactured April 2020. Upon contacting LG it was arranged for a technician to come to our co-op and check out the range. The technician concluded that the cooktop is defective and requires replacement. The lockout required reprograming. The technician was unable to tell us when the cooktop would be available for replacement. We will give LG a week and if not resolved will consider returning the range. Should this not be available for us to return the range if necessary we will institute legal proceedings. It would be to LGs advantage to better checking out their products before releasing them for sale. We are completely discussed and would not recommend LG. We also purchased an LG refrigerator and dishwasher and pray that we have no problems with them.

Dont buy this oven - its a dangerous design and a safety risk. My LG double oven came with the house I recently purchased. In the 9 weeks of living in my home, the stove has been accidentally turned on 5 times, with burners heating up without knowing it until a accident occurs. The most recent incidents were caused by my dog, almost catching a box on fire - when I got to the kitchen, the box was glowing orange. This morning, my dog was trying to eat the leftover chicken casserole I had in my large Pyrex dish on the stove. She accidentally turned on the burner and the large did completely shattered all over the kitchen - countertops, floor and stove had glass everywhere. On the other occasion it was a simple case of just pushing the front buttons and the burner automatically turns on. My daughter and I had this happen. This range is very poorly designed and should be of a grave concern if you have small children. They are very easily able to access those front burner buttons. Today I am having a new GE double oven installed (at my cost of $1200), but the burner buttons are high on top of the control panel. For my own piece of mind and safety for my family, I felt this was needed. I cant comment on the product performance, but the design is definitely a risk. This design is not unique to LG, many other manufacturers have front buttons, but I cant comment on how easy they turn on.

One and done is my motto now when it comes to LG appliances/electronics. This was the first and only time I will ever purchase ANYTHING from this manufacturer. We purchased an LG kitchen suite consisting of a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. All are on the fritz. Over half of the buttons on the microwave do not work which almost makes it unusable; the 1, 2, 3, and more. The vent, power, light and even more. The largest burner on the stove is gone and the refrigerator makes an odd noise (not the icemaker). Weve had the appliances for only about 5 years so no more LG for me. Its just outside the warranty - how convenient for them.

The dryer stopped drying and it’s just a few weeks out of the manufacture
The dryer stopped drying and it’s just a few weeks out of the manufacturer’s warranty. I called the extended warranty that I purchased and they sent a tech out. He said the heating unit needed to be replaced and ordered a new one; but in the meantime, he did something to get it heating and the dryer worked fine for the week. He came yesterday to replace the heating unit, but now he claims that the power cord is fried and I need to call an electrician. This dryer worked perfectly fine with the power cord and the outlet up until yesterday when he attempted to replace the heating unit. LG insists that they cannot give me any information because it’s out of warranty and that I must instead deal with the extended warranty company. So I guess it’s okay to take my money when I have a dryer that does not work one year later and have to pay an electrician? Does it seem reasonable that a dryer works properly and is kept in good working order and used in the manner in which it is intended and immediately after a tech attempts to install a new heating mechanism, it suddenly blows and the power cord is melted? Everyone is passing it back to me that I have to get an electrician. No, I think LG has a problem with heating mechanisms and the tech did something incorrectly.

Extra 5 years warranty was purchased and here I am helpless. Should anybody believe that parts are not available on such a huge company running throughout the country? Request to repair immediately. We are joining the rest of duped LG purchasers. We purchased a French Door refrigerator LFX28968SB in 2015 and on 9-19-18 we had to throw food out and are now using a cooler with ice to keep essentials. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. We contacted the store where we bought it and a service tech came out on 9/20/18 and said there was nothing he could do. It ** the bed. I called customer service (which the rep was rude) and she stated we needed to have a certified LG tech look at it and they need to submit the repair request. She gave the one, which there seemed not to be more than 1 in RI. Contacted Certified Service Co. and they seemed to be having issues with doing work on LG and said I would have to have parts sent to me if they were under warranty. I agreed. Now after reading all the reviews Im cancelling the service call and going to buy new refrigerator and it will not be a LG for sure. I think a lawsuit against this company needs to be revisited. There are way too many lemons out there and they were not cheap. Not to mention the loss of food and tons of aggravation!

Our refrigerator died right before the warranty expired ($3000 unit!). We have been 3 weeks without a fridge, lost hundreds of dollars worth of food, and are CONSTANTLY having to call customer service to get something done. The local repair service they sent out could not fix, yet I received an email from LG stating that it was fixed, and to take a survey. We speak with someone daily, and now just want them to get this POS out of our house and refund our money. So, even though they have ALL my info from registering the product.... I had to send them receipt copies. And THEN I get a return email stating, Unfortunately, I am away from my email right now, but I will reply as quickly as I can. This was less than 5 minutes after we spoke with her. After reading reviews, I wish I never bought this fridge. It looks like we will have to contact the BBB, and perhaps a lawyer. Will also be contacting Home Depot (where we bought it). DO NOT BUY LG PRODUCTS! Unless you like getting the runaround.

The LG representatives worked very hard to guarantee that I would not be getting any help either by getting them to repair the oven, send me the part, or provide me with technical support. There are not many parts that can go wrong but expensive if you guess wrong. The recall item was the control panel (board) but there are two in question. One for $60.00 the other for $170.00.

I bought a front load LG washer about 4 years ago to replace my 15 year old Whirlpool washer which was still working. Now in the past month the washer started making a loud noise during all cycles of the spin including slow and fast spin. Contacted LG who sent a tech and they said it is the outside drum and bearing which will be over a 400 dollar repair. Now a new LG can be bought for 645 so I went to HD and ordered a new Washer, same LG brand because the salesman said I could still use the 249 dollar pedestal if I went with the LG brand. Today LG deliveries came with the washer and said they will not install the new washer on the Old pedestal since it was not bought from them now and they will install only if I ordered another 249 dollar new pedestal from them again. The delivery guys were rude so I told them to take the washer back so I can buy an alternate brand along with its own matching pedestal. We purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator with water & ice maker in November 2009. We recently had problems with both the fridge & the freezer not cooling. We bought the fridge from Sears, so we spoke to the Sears parts service & told them what the issues were. They suggested a part that they felt would solve the problem. So we ordered the part & put it in. This part did not help the situation. After 2 days, the fridge stopped working all together. We lost all the food in the fridge & the freezer. We called a local repairman to come & look at it. He said there was a leak of freon in the seal system. It was not something he could fix. He said that in the 40 years he has serviced refrigerators, this was the only time he came across this issue. Especially with a 5.5 yr. old unit.So we called LG & they said they would replace the seal system, but we would have to pay the labor since their 1 year warranty ran out. The repairman had told us that they would have to take the fridge apart completely to find the leak, if they could indeed find it & that it could take hours to do. We explained all this to LG & said that was all they could do for us. Really? We paid $2000 for the unit & it is 5.5 yrs old. I would think something that was supposedly worth that kind of money would last much longer than that & LG would be willing to do more to rectify the situation. Dont buy an LG product! They dont live up to their name!

I bought this LG gas range last November at Home Depot. (And they knew nothing at all about the flaws in the range.) To begin, there was a problem with the gas not turning on quickly enough, causing some gas to leak out, and a repairman came and fixed it. It required a part that had to be ordered, and I couldn’t use the range for a few days. But there are two other big problems I have had. First, the easy clean feature. It doesn’t work. At all. And it is a pain to use anyway—filling the indented compartment in the bottom of the oven! Doesn’t do anything, and then you have to extract the water by hand from the oven floor. They say not to use oven cleaners, etc. as it can ruin the oven walls. Which leaves no real choices. A man who came to put in a new dishwasher told me I could use something like Soft Scrub. I haven’t tried it yet. I am 73 years old, and I am too old to have to get on my hands and knees and clean an oven.Second problem: when the oven is on, air blows out from the oven, but instead of coming out the front, it comes out the back. The air flow is directed toward the burners and usually blows them out. If you don’t stay right with it, you have a major gas leak problem. I have had to put up barriers in front of the air flow vents to keep this from happening. I would never walk away from the stove if I use the oven and cook on the burners at the same time. This might be the worst appliance I have ever purchased. I would never ever buy another lg appliance. The leaking gas is a major safety concern. The company had to know the easy clean feature doesn’t work. And when I told the repairman this, he said maybe I should have done better research before I purchased it. Wonderful customer service. I would like to give no stars...

In October of 2019 I purchased a full suite of LG appliances, refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer. All purchased from and installed by Best Buy. I really like all the appliances and they all seem to perform well, with the exception of the dishwasher. I have a constant and ongoing problem with it draining. This problem appeared within the first month. Best Buy came out and could not replicate the problem. In January the same problem again. Best Buy replaced the drain pump. That lasted less than one week. By this point Best Buy was no longer off in home service appointments because of the Covid-19 thing.I went to the LG web. Requested a repair. The service responded the next day, came out a determined a new control board was needed. A week later they came out to replace it. That lasted 4 days. I am now once again without a dishwasher. Ive again requested service from LG but have yet to hear back, that was yesterday. Today I called your 800 number and ended up hanging up on your representative because of the poor service offered by her. Its time you replace this dishwasher, as I am tired of having to arrange my schedule to fit in repairs that last less than a week.

I’m writing about my disgusting experience with LG in regards to my washer WM4370HKA. I’ve had issues that started only within months of the purchase of this brand new washer. And the first technician that showed up was in DEC of last year, replaced parts and several weeks later the issue occurred once again. Repeatedly my washer doesn’t complete cycles and gets stuck with soaked laundry. It doesn’t clean properly and the clothes never come out smelling fresh. December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, I’ve had more than 3 technicians come to diagnose and attempts to fix the issue. They say they will be calling me back to replace parts but no one does. The issue is still ongoing and LG is denying me any service and has not agreed to my request for a replacement. I’m now ashamed to say that almost all my home appliances are LG because this type of service or lack of, shouldn’t happen. They don’t make you feel like a person, and they will do anything to deny you service. They don’t want to acknowledge that the machine is faulty. 1500 dollars and not even 6 months and it’s giving me hell.

The ABSOLUTE WORST company and customer service!! I purchased a French door refrigerator in May through JCPenney. I also purchased the extended warranty. Five months later the refrigerator showed an error code - dhF. I called LG and they sent a serviceman who walked in the house, looked at the code and said he did not have the parts needed to fix it. I asked him how he knew what he needed without opening the refrigerator and he stated that it is a problem that LG knows about but continues to sell defective equipment anyway, they just sent someone out to replace parts. Needless to say, I was not happy. I called JCPenney who pushed me off to LG and have spoken with a total of 11 different people, all who have done nothing to help me. I want the refrigerator replaced. Thanksgiving Day, it stopped working altogether and we had to scramble to get coolers and buy a small refrigerator to place some food in. Today, the day after Thanksgiving, all of LG supervisors are on extended break because of the holiday. DO NOT EVER purchase anything from this company. It is criminal that they sell defective appliances and know about it. All they care about is the bottom line. If there was a choice for 0 stars, that is what they would be rated.

I bought a washer/dryer from LG and after 6 months dryer smells like the clothes are burning and does not dry clothes. I called LG and they have the date I purchased the dryer which was within a year but because I could not locate receipt they would not help me. My new house could have started on fire. They were rude, kept putting me on hold and refused to help me. I have been running to the laundromat and now have to get a new dryer. Will Never buy anything LG. I was treated horribly.

We have purchased an LG refrigerator that is less than a year old. We reported an issue that when you shut one door the other door pops open. While fridge still technically worked, this isnt supposed to happen (especially with amount we paid); it also affects the ice and temperature and ruined food. We have had two other brands of fridges (Frigidaire and GE) for over 20+ years and this one we can only speak of in terms of months. It is not energy efficiency and does not work properly. We reported the issue to LG and they sent their own technician. (This is after we tried the online tips to lean fridge as far back as possible, etc.) The technician came and did not even touch fridge. When we told him issue he said it was a design flaw and to contact a specific number. We called and they said they would get back to us within 24 hours - spoiler alert and first warning sign, they did not.A few days later I called customer service. The person was helpful and gave me a supervisor number to contact the following day. I did and they set up another appointment which I was told would be the last because they would make sure their own technician fixed it. The technician no-showed. I was persistent and called LG multiple times. In total the technician no showed three times. I used four vacation days and my fridge does not work properly. My customer service was mixed - in fact, one person emailed and said This can happen with top mounts because of the way the duct work is set up. followed by The customer just needs to push on both doors to make sure they are closed all the way before walking away. To me, this wasnt an acceptable response after multiple contacts and only a few mere months of ownership. Half of my customer service responses were terrible in tone and service. I was constantly pushed off and told to just schedule another appointment. I contacted customer service over 12 times, not including the four appointments, three of which LG no-showed after a 5 hour waiting block for appointment time. There were also several times - at least 3 (not including appointments) in which LG said they would follow up with me and never did. We can only talk about our LG product in terms of months. Our other fridges were a Frigidaire and GE unit which lasted 20 years and 22 years respectively. This LG fridge has only lasted a few months. In fact, its basically only worth the $50 my electric company will give me under their program to encourage replacement of energy inefficient units. I would not recommend this product or the customer service. I have copies of my contact, emails, and chat responses and summaries of my phone calls as I plan on following up. What good is a fridge door that makes another one open when you shut it? Apparently this is a common issue that LG has yet to address or fix but just keeps pushing down the line. I hope we can prevent other people from making the same mistake. If I can edit the post after submitting, I will share some of the poor customer service responses and a video of the issue, but I wanted to submit this as soon as possible.

Bought the dishwasher 4 years ago. Rack system collapses when you load plates - had to jerry rig something to prevent from happening, the hose discharging the water leaked after 3 years of normal use (very thin, cheap hose I had to replace), had numerous occasions where it would not pump water out so had to manually remove the water and it would then worked again until now when it is not longer pumping. I think I am going to start buying disposable appliances - the kind that cost less you dont feel bad throwing away after a few years of use cause they did not cost a fortune...

Refrigerator has been defective since purchase. Have now owned the above refrigerator for 5 years. It was purchased brand new from Home Depot. During this time, the compressor has been replaced 4 times. The Evaporator has been replaced. The Condenser has been replaced. They think the control board may not be working either. Additionally, 4 times, during these various replacements, it has stopped cooling within two days of the parts replacement, requiring another tech to make a service call and charge the Freon. In summary, I have been without a refrigerator for a total of 73 days. I have lost 5 refrigerators full of food due to spoilage and missed over 45 hours of work waiting for a tech. Despite numerous technicians stating that it needed to be replaced, LG has not acted on their advice. Stay away from LG refrigerators!

This is the worst refrigerator I have ever had. Customer service is also awful. I would have given this product zero stars if possible. After owning this refrigerator 7 months the ice maker in the top froze and was leaking water. The water was leaking on the floor and also into the bottom freezer. LG solution was to send someone to repair it. So we have had the same problem and it has been repaired at least 8 times. The last technician told me to disconnect the top ice maker when I told him I can’t even put new floor in my kitchen because my floor will be ruined by this refrigerator. Worst refrigerator and customer service ever. I will NEVER purchase an LG product again. This is a very common problem with this refrigerator. The model is LFXS29626W.

Bought a supposedly top of the line washer dryer LG Tromm set in 2006. Washer broke down, as it was out of warranty, paid for diagnostic repair from company referred by LG and was quoted more than $1000.00, so decided to buy a newer LG washer model only to find out that installers wont install as the newer models stacking kits will not match the older models. LG has a lot of discontinued products, one of them is this WM2277HS. Parts are not even available. So when one breaks down, it is not repairable, and instead of just replacing just one appliance, you have to buy both the washer and dryer even if the other one is not broken, as none of the current models will match with the older appliance, specially the stackable models. Customer service is very poor, no one seems to know anything. So I suppose, LG in a way make their products not last long enough and then will not have parts available, or repairs will cost more than a new machine.

Bought a brand new LG French Door Refrigerator in 2015 from Home Depot and here I am almost 4 years later and it has completely failed. I had the technician from the local LG authorized repair company and he diagnosed that my evaporator has failed and that between parts and labor it will cost somewhere between $1000 and $1200 to fix this LG French Door Refrigerator. What a total pile of crap. I would expect when paying $2200 for a new LG fridge that it would at least last 10 years or more without a major breakdown. So going by the rule of thumb on when to replace or repair a refrigerator since the repair cost is going to be more than half the cost of a new refrigerator I will be replacing this LG piece of crap with a new refrigerator of some other brand. Also I am now so turned off by LG I will never buy any of their products ever again in my lifetime and I will encourage everyone I know to do the same.

Bought LG dishwasher from Home Depot July 2020. Delivered in 9/2020, due to Covid. Tried to make it work in two of our family homes, multiple calls to service techs. Gave me a repair reference number, which eventually revealed that no LG service tech services in our area, and no local repair was found when LG looked for one. I have a new service number now, and twice they have said it will be 7 to 10 days before I know if I will get a refund. It is still under warranty. Stalling is just unbelievable. One time they said the Power Service Team would decide, now it has been given to Defective Returns Department. I do NOT want another one, if no one can service it even with a warranty.I sent an email to their CEO at LG. If I dont get my refund (sent all paperwork 2 times) I am going to ask consumer media TV people to publicly help me. We still dont have any dishwasher, want our money back to purchase a different one from anyone but LG. My situation sounds like one of another persons review.... That worries me that we wont get a fair solution.

When you dial the control to hot or very hot on the washing machine the net result is warm water or cold water. The washer instead of delivering hot water, mixes cold water with the hot water and you get warm or cold water in any cycle. I have had the technician out twice and he said he cant do anything to make it change no matter how many parts he changes. I have it on audio recording. He said LG will not exchange the machine and I have to live with the problem. I paid $1,100 for the washer and similar amount for the dryer. I ran the LG dryer yesterday with one queen size comforter and after redrying it four times it was partially damp.

I am the owner of a 2 year old LG French door refrigerator that failed over
I am the owner of a 2 year old LG French door refrigerator that failed over Thanksgiving. Being it was the holidays, I took to dealing with the matter immediately by contacting LGs customer service department. In the initial conversation, we determined that the issue was likely the compressor, which if true, would be covered under warranty. Learning that an authorized technician was needed to service the appliance I was then given a phone number to a local service dealer in the Scottsdale area. This company did not return my call but, I was able to get through the week after Thanksgiving. They told me that they had only one technician on staff authorized and he was out of town for 3 weeks. This was not acceptable being the holidays and the fact that we had a full house.Through my own inquiry, I found one repair service willing to work on LG appliances... most would not because they have a pretty bad reputation it appears. The only issue, was that we needed to have him authorized. This I was able to begin through a chat with a member of the LG customer service department, however, the authorization was never put forward I was to discover. This required another online chat, some apologies and eventually a successful authorization for my serviceman. Now able to open the back of the appliance, indeed it was discovered to be an issue with leaking coolant and a faulty part (parts). Now began the test of getting the parts (under warranty) ordered and delivered to my repairman. The part was ordered and we waited. I requested that someone contact me to let me know when it would arrive. This was wishful thinking. I opened another chat to see where the part was and the LG agent could not find any information and asked for a PON number which I did not have. He said perhaps the part was on back order. To shorten a very long litany of my technician and myself spending hours of precious time getting the runaround with (excuse me) a very incompetent customer service system; my repairman was told after many conversations with the parts dept., that 30 day deadline was expired and we have to start all over again. So another chat last week resulted in a request for authorization again and I was told a rush request would be made for second authorization. I was also again promised that the agent would keep me posted. Yea right. Having no fridge for the holidays with a houseful of family is frustrating in and of itself and 2K plus fridge should not fail in just two years; add a complete run-around by the folks we trusted with hard earned money with their brand over many other choices on the market, to simply supply a part and authorize and repair completely beside myself. All I need is a warrantied part, a second authorization (since time expired because of LG inefficiency), an LG customer service person who will see the process through and an attempt by LG to stand by its motto; life is good. I believe all agree that those requests are reasonable. To date I have had 6 chats average 40 minutes each, three long phone calls, a long wait for the supervisor but disconnected after 20 minutes, 4 letter submissions and a technician about to give up because of time lost from numerous calls to the parts department and total frustration. The fridge failed 11-24-16 and todays date is 1-13-17 and zero success. If anyone knows of a way I can pressure these people for one or two damned parts; (that my service guy could have fixed it in one hour two months ago) please let me know.

This is such a common problem that the repair profession knows the price off the top of his head. Not only was the compressor dead but the thermostats were dead too. Purchase a set of LG washer (WT4870CW) and dryer from Best Buy that was last year’s model on 04/12/2014. Upon the washing machine acting up and not draining after about 10 or 11 months, we called LG support to get it corrected, was when we were informed it was almost two years old. Even when we had it less than a year. The washing machine had OE and UE errors popping up interrupting the spin cycle continuously, requiring resetting and restarting in the spin cycle. The first tech diagnosed it needed a stator, ordered that to our house and installed it, problem continued. LG schedule second tech service company, who diagnosed, after reading bulletin stator replacement no longer done, but circuitry parts. Ordered two, parts came to house and third person came in only installed one circuit, stating I needed two separate circuits for washer and dryer. Problem continued. LG was notified and I was informed the previous appliance service technicians came from an appliance service company that they can no longer recommend. Plus since this problem has extended past the original warranty I needed to get an extension, which was done at no cost, to cover the next service person. A third appliance company, who came today and diagnosed Pipe in house will not let unit drain, gets pressure build up and no drain. Customer needs plumber. Nothing wrong with unit.” I immediately returned home and showed the tech the fault of his diagnosis by detaching the drain from the drain pipe in the house and connecting the cold water feed to the drain pipe and had it run for several minutes. THEN he said, I dont know what to tell you. Then he said my pipe was too high, so I pulled out the manual nearby and NOPE the pipe length was well within the distance in the manual. Wrong again. The machine works he said, when you dont connect it to the drain pipe, so it’s a drain problem he said. Nothing wrong with the machine when you disconnect it and let it run in a garbage barrel, he said. What are you talking about, the machine worked for like 10 or 11 months and now this problem wont go away and you are saying that the problem is not with the machine? “Oh it tries to send the water up but it can only send so much, then it figures it cant then it shuts down.” “Oh,” I said, “then it’s a sensor problem, or a computer problem.” “No there is nothing wrong with the machine, when you disconnect the pipe into a garbage barrel.” How does this continue on? “Oh, Ill have my boss give you a call, because I cant fix a problem that isnt there.” There were also suggestions to re-route my drain pipe through the basement window opening, creating a new larger pipe, but his suggestions simply met deaf ears by that time. So after he leave and here I am at the Consumer Affairs site reading all the numerous complaints and I find one service tech diagnosed a pressure switch as the problem, which under warranty I would welcome before I send this unit to the scrap heap.

I bought an LG 18 months ago when we moved to Dallas. Whatever I try adjusting the feet (no easy task, let me tell you), making sure the machine is stable by pushing the dryer up against it, wedging it against the sink, or adjusting and re-adjusting the load (because the machine stops and tells you to), it doesnt work. I had a Maytag for 13 years with not an ounce of bother, but this machine has been a headache. I usually have to wash the clothes twice because it doesnt spin well; not only due to the balance error message on the front panel, but also because it just doesnt spin fast or very hard the way the Maytag did. Sears have sent technicians out, time and again, but who wants to spend half the day waiting at home for a service call? Not me. Isnt that defeating the objective of a world that wants less time spent in the laundry room? Im going to suffer through the rest of its years and feeling annoyed at it. I will then replace it with my favorite: a Maytag. Sigh. Now, Im about to go reset it so that it will attempt a spin cycle with my quilt, but I know that bed cover will come out of the machine too wet for my liking, and Ill have to put it out in the sun for some time before I can even attempt to dry it. Dont buy LG.

After washing clothes last weekend, I noticed that the agitator was not attached. I called my repairman, thinking that somehow the agitator had disengaged from the transmission, and it would be s simple fix. What he found was a broken transmission shaft... The broken part being the size of my little finger, completely broken in half! The cost to repair $300. We launder approx. 7 loads of clothes/ week, none of them being very large.. Have only had the fridge for just over 5 years, and already the compressor has failed. Came home to water all over the floor. All the food in the freezer had to be tossed. Tried calling LGs 800 number, and I got Craige, their automated whatever you want to call it. When go through his questions, you get disconnected. Tried calling 4 times to actually speak to someone, and every time got Craige. I guess LGs great Linear Compressor has a 10 year warranty, but Im looking at over $500 to have it put in as only the part will be covered. I wish I had read reviews about this horrible compressor when I was purchasing this fridge, as I would never have bought it. But Im like so many others and will have to get it fixed since it cost so much money only 5 years ago. Just sad LG cant make a reliable product. I was quite happy with my LG electric (glass-top, stainless steel) range until, this weekend, the oven simply stopped working. That means no broiler, no oven, no self-cleaning. Based on my description to our authorized LG repair outfit in my city, Im told its going to cost $195 ($220 with taxes) + $120 for the repair ($138 with taxes). Thats $358 total!! After spending well over $1000 only 3 years ago for this appliance, Im infuriated.I called another company in town that repairs LGs and they said that people are lucky if they last 5 years, and that most of the time, within 2 years there are issues. She actually said that their company recommends that people keep their old ranges as long as they can. I was flabbergasted. Im a professional mechanic and electronics tech. I just had to replace a relay and two corroded microswitches due to poor design of the icemaker hatch. Weak return springs prevent a tight seal when not in use, allowing moisture from ice melt to drip down past the hatch and, as evidenced by mineral scale, into the chamber containing the relay board, front panel control board, and the in-door ice and water lever microswitches (!). Observed heavy corrosion on electronic parts and fasteners inside, as well as around the front seal where it meets the metallic enclosure. The front seal, intended to prevent moisture intrusion from the exterior of the unit, instead prevents moisture introduced by the ice chute from escaping the chamber. This oversight exposes control boards and electronic parts and connectors to sustained high-humidity environment (!). Control boards inside are not potted (no resin/silicone/thermoplastic encapsulation) and there are no rubber seals on electrical connectors contained within. ICs, pads, and components on the front panel control board show corrosion and, in my opinion, are not long for the world. Ive added a desiccant pack inside the chamber and a bead of silicone sealant under the defective icemaker hatch behind the front bezel to mitigate the design oversight and hopefully extend the life of my investment. Rust at the bottom of the front control panel may be an indicator of the problem described above on your unit.Additionally, the linear compressor used in this fridge is currently the focus of a class action lawsuit (which I am not party to). LG asserted that these units can have up to a 20 year lifespan (avg of 14 years) but have had a significant portion of units fail starting around the 3-year mark. My compressor is still functioning for now but Ive purchased a 3rd party wireless temperature monitoring panel with sensors for both compartments to mitigate the risk of foodborne illness associated with a failing compressor. This appliance is at best, a very poor investment. At worst, it is a hazard to my wife and children. Moisture intrusion behind the front panel presents a reliability problem, a mold hazard, and a fire hazard due to the line voltage connections within. The poor design choices make it clear that the engineers involved with the project had some serious deficiencies in failure mode analysis, fail-safe design, and keeping with good engineering principals. Ive experienced similar design oversights involving moisture control with other LG products Ive owned and maintained (LG window unit AC, LG Waveforce washer and dryer) and will never purchase another LG appliance. Longevity is important to me, but does not seem to be a priority for LG. My wife thinks it looks pretty in our kitchen, so theres that I suppose. Hopefully the compressor fails and I can get this stylish lemon out of here soon..

We bought our LG fridge from Best Buy about 4 years ago. Earlier this week our compressor stopped working. We lost the entire freezer and fridge of food. After calling the company and spending more than one hour on the phone they scheduled an appointment for me within 2 days and told me not to worry. It was under warranty. I waited home all day on the scheduled appointment from 12-5 and no one came. When I called the company supposedly coming, they told me they had no record of an appointment at my home. Upon calling LG back they said sorry this appointment was never actually confirmed but since everyone is closed, you call some service providers and we will pay them if they can come. No one will come, they all laugh at me and tell me that LG will never pay them and that it will take upwards of 8 weeks to even get an appointment with them. Ive now called LG back two more times, they made an appointment, confirmed an appointment and subsequently when calling that service company, they report they never received that confirmation so again they did not show up. This will be my 5th phone call upwards of 60 minutes on each and all they can offer me is $250 for loss of food. They are not willing to offer anything else to help out with possibly going 8 weeks without a fridge. To say this is disappointing is a huge understatement. I will never buy another LG appliance.

I purchased an LG washer 22 months ago and it was wonderful initially. I started to notice that it was taking longer than usual to complete loads. Maybe 20 to 30 minutes. Then it stopped. I have an extended warranty and called to have it repaired. The front panel needed replaced. I went (5) weeks waiting for one of the 6 parts to come in and every time I would call the repair place was being blamed. It finally slipped out that the part was held up. I was told not to call back until I have been without a washer for a month and then they would replace it. I would be responsible for paying delivery, having it installed and the price difference since it has depreciated. Well the part arrive 2 days prior to the one month period. The front panel was replaced, put in my first load, washed it, second load the signal came on that the front panel was not working. I am in the same place I started a month ago. I did call LG and they told me not to call them, I was to call the place I purchased the washer from. HELP or is there none???

I purchased my LG Waveforce washer from Sears (thankfully it was on sale).
I purchased my LG Waveforce washer from Sears (thankfully it was on sale). I have the same problem as the Shannon in LA. Takes forever to wash a load, from the error codes. This started from the beginning and I called LG and every time they came out it would not duplicate. Finally after months of this and many phone calls to LG, they actually replaced it. Same thing. I just gave up and have been dealing with this washer for about 4 years now, waiting till it completely dies and I can buy a new washer. I sure do miss my old Kenmore that had a ringer in the middle. That one got my clothes clean. There is never enough water to get the clothes really clean, if and when it finishes washing which takes double time because it stops and starts over. The only setting I use is the bulky/bedding one because it uses the most water. I can never leave the house once I start a load, because it would never finish. Thankfully its only me, dont wash much and I sit near it, so I can hear when it ** up. The clothes smell moldy after washing them, and the machine is always smelly after a wash. I hate this piece of crap.

I purchased the LG Dishwasher LSDS4821ST on Nov 30, 2008. I have only used it 3 times since 2008. The dishwasher left too much water in the machine after drying the dishes. The dishes also were not clean nor were they dry. I did call for service during the warranty period only to be told that the left over water is normal, and that the dishes were air dried with a new lg system. The few times that I used the washer I had to clean the excess water at the bottom of the inside of the machine. The dishes were also wet. The last straw was when the dish soap dispenser would not open. That was in 2013, and I have not used it since. The LG customer service gives you the run-around. I have an LG washer and dryer with plenty of problems. Do not buy LG anything, not even a phone.

We recently went through 4 months of renovations. What a nightmare and the contractor is not coming back to do the final touchups. We had our kitchen completely gutted and when it came to appliances we purchased and LG range and fridge. Both are working just fine. It takes a bit of getting used to when going from appliances from the 70s and 80s to new. We have had no problems with the fridge but then we have only been using it for a couple of months. The stove works fine. I thought getting a new stove would mean that I would wait a shorter time for a pot of water to boil but no. We are having a problem with the smell of gas every time we use the range. Whether it be the oven or burners, we smell gas. There is conflicting information on the internet as to whether this is normal. We shouldnt be able to smell gas in other rooms other than the kitchen but we do when we use the range. The other issue which is major is the knobs for turning on the burners. This is a complete safety hazard and how this design passed any safety inspections before selling to the public is beyond me. I have singed my long hair twice, once reaching into a cupboard near the stove and another cleaning by the stove just because I barely leaned against the range. The knobs turn by barely brushing up against them and instantly the burner is on before you can get out of the way. If my children were still small I would not keep this stove. It is a accident just waiting to happen. I find this design terribly irresponsible for a company to have and this range should be recalled. I also find the venting of the oven across the cook top not the best design also. When I use the oven and the burners at the same time too much heat is being created and at one time our range hood fan went off on its own and didnt shut off until the heat had dissipated. At the same time the oven vent causes the pots on the stove to heat up even more than from being on the burners and the handles can not be handled unless using a pot holder. It bakes well. We find we use the convection more because on bake food isnt crisping up as much as we would like. I guess thats the difference between electric heat and gas. Companies need to stand by their products better. Our old fridge of 25 years is still going on strong and has been relegated to the car port as an overflow fridge. I am certain that these new appliances of today would never last that long. If the new LG fridge goes we might have to bring the old one back inside. Oh and our 2 year old Samsung T.V. just completely died. What quality!!!

We bought an LG refrigerator because of the size. My wife wanted to go with GE. I convinced her to go with LG. We had multiple issues with the icemaker and then finally within 2 years, the motherboard went bad. It would have cost $500 to fix. We decided to buy a GE for $800 and had not had any issues. I contacted LG saying that their product required multiple repairs and they refused to cover the work. Lastly, we wrote a letter of complaint stating that not only were we disappointed with their product and response, but we have found mounting complaints that were tarnishing their image. Their response was Sorry for your difficulty, but one bad item does not reflect on their image. It does with us. Never buy an LG product. They are garbage.

I am truly disappointed with my LG washer model WT487OC. I purchased it approx 61 months ago, and yes my 48 months protection plan expired. The machine began to exhibit a problem 3 months ago when after a wash load, there was a noticeable debris on the damp clothing which led to concerns before drying the load. After a few calls to LG Customer Service and a discussion with Rocket Appliance Repair who LG suggested I call. It was determined that the machine somehow had developed mold internally. I tried over 10 different options that LG & THEIR REPAIR SERVICED suggested I attempt, but to no avail. The machine was considered unrepairable. In over 40 years of cleaning and purchasing household appliances I have never experienced anything like this. I will never buy LG appliances again, and any I presently own I will seek replacements for as soon as possible.
