LG Ultra Capacity WM2101HW Washer Garbage. I purchased this LG washer based upon the reviews of Consumer Reports - BIG MISTAKE. This washer has been loud from day 1 and started leaking about 4 months later. As others have said it unbalances and gives error codes often. I had it repaired once because it stopped draining. A technician visit and parts cost $400 -- that is when I learned that you actually have to drain it yourself. Who designs such a washer in this day and age? Now brown liquid is coming out of the back of the machine and my clothes and sheets smell like sewer after they have been through a complete cycle. I leave the door and soap compartment open between uses. What a waste of money - horrible product. DO NOT BUY LG. I will replace this POS as soon as I can afford.

We bought two new LG washing machines, one for our daughter and one for us
We bought two new LG washing machines, one for our daughter and one for us in 2010. Last year, after 6 years, our daughters LG washing machine broke down. This year, yesterday, our 7 year old LG washing machine broke down - in each case it was the motor - you could hear the defective motor. The motors are specifically labeled on the machines as being guaranteed for 10 years. We went out and bought a Samsung washing machine and dryer the same day as the breakdown, expecting the LG dryer at 7 years was not reliable either. Oh yes. There are only the two of us - retired man and wife - living in the house so the machines are not used that much. If we were a family with small kids, the washing machine doubtless would have broken down much sooner. I wonder if the executives running the LG operation are reading these consumer posts? They should. Word gets around.

Washer - a little over a year old. LG has the worst customer support on the planet...lazy people. No help. For past 2 months, have to flip the circuit in order to do a load of wash...pricey expensive junk and we had to buy the condo size close to 3 grand...dont ever buy LG. This is one time when we should have bought a warranty...piece of junk.

We purchased our fridge on May 2015. Costed us about $2300. Since then we’ve had to have it repaired 6 times! I guess that pretty much sums up our experience with LG refrigerators. Fortunately, we had the extended warranty with Home Depot which saved us a bunch out of pocket expenses. My family is surely staying away from LG’s fridges.

Purchased an LG front load washer and dryer. Great looking and performance of units. A few issues of water leaking while being installed by crew. Had some noise issues because of stacked configuration. Worked issues out. Still going. Seem to really clean clothes with less water being needed. Very reliable so far. Seems to be a good investment.

Purchased a brand new microwave with the new black chrome, very expensive for a microwave. Unfortunately we had a kitchen remodel so we wanted everything to be brand new. We called the store and they said that they had to call LG because their store warranty was only 7 days (ridiculous). LG said they would replace the part if it has no power. However when the service technician told LG that it had no power, they decided to repair it??? We havent even had the microwave a month. The new parts cost almost more than the microwave itself. I think this company is a piece of **. I will never purchase LG products again.

First call to LG Service was at 6 months for ice maker on model LFX33975ST refrigerator. Fourteen months later Ive made 13 calls and have had 3 service visits. Now Im told it is the compressor and unit needs to be replaced. LG company said takes 3 - 5 BUSINESS DAYS to make a final decision on how to proceed despite what repairman says. Im physically disabled and take medication that needs to be kept cold. This is not the way to conduct business! Also now I find out there is a class action lawsuit for this models ice maker. I wouldnt doubt soon there will be on the refrigerator too!

I purchased a two drawer LG refrigerator (LMX25981ST) in April 2010. In February 2013, the freezer stopped working. I called LG customer services and was put on hold several times for 5-7 minutes each time. Then I was given a phone number for an authorized service center (which it seems was nearly 200 miles away). When I called them, they said they could possibly send someone out the following week (I called on a Wednesday, they wanted me to wait until the following Tuesday). I couldn’t get an earlier time and really needed the refrigerator. And so, I called a local repairman who was able to come that day. He said there was a leak in the freon and that I needed to call LG back. When I reached someone at LG again the next morning, they tried to put me off for another 3-5 business days, which was unsatisfactory. I expressed that I could not be without a working refrigerator that long as I have medication and other needs that must be kept refrigerated. They were no help and seemed uncaring. Also, this was a very expensive refrigerator, and I was at a loss as to why I would be having this problem less than 3 years after I bought it. At the time I bought the refrigerator, I changed all my appliances to LG because I trusted the brand. I had a major problem with the gas stove and had to return it for another model, which also had problems and had to be serviced less than a year after the purchase. The LG microwave oven that I also bought at the same time had a problem with the door, but the service on the other 2 appliances had been so poor that I have been just living with the microwave problem. LG appliances look very nice on the showroom floor and in my kitchen, but that is where the nice stops. The appliances have not held up, and LG has not been helpful in resolving the issues. The customer service is very poor and that, along with the quality issues, would keep me from buying another LG appliance or recommending one to anybody. I have had nothing but problems, and they are ongoing.

Purchased an LG LFX 25971 French Door/Freezer on the bottom fridge in Sept. 08 from PC Richard. Am I glad they convinced me into a 10 extended warranty. 6 months after, LG notifies me, because the Consumer Energy Report was found to be off by the Government. They needed to give me a refund check of like $30.00 and a yearly check of about $8.00 for 10 years. That was just the beginning. So far I had to call for service 2 times for the internal LED light panel blew, 1 time for the ice maker, twice for water puddling and freezing in the bottom of my freezer and then running out onto my floor. Now I have to call again for the water in the freezer. The only good thing is PC RICHARD has been honoring their warranty no problem.

We bought this unit in OCT 2017 since then it has failed twice and cost 198.00 in diagnostics and 1000.00 on lost food! In May of 2020 in the middle of the pandemic food shortage it quit cooling for four days, then magically started working again then in JAN 2021 it stopped cooling again and today Im told that it has a gas leak and that has leak are common on these LG units and to avoid all LG and Samsung refrigerators. Not at all what I was expecting from a very expensive fridge from a top name brand company. Never again. The was not my first but will be my last LG product unless they do something for me. My LG refrigerator quit around Feb. 14. The repairman came on Feb. 17 and said he would order a new board and compressor. It is now March 11 and I am still waiting. I called the Brick customer service and they do seem to want to help but nothing comes of it. I have a serious heart condition and am finding it even harder since I do not feel well enough to go out to get food most of the time. The customer service did not call back and kept me waiting all day yesterday so I did not get to go out and get some food. It is getting warmer outside so my new outdoor storage is no longer working either and the remaining food is going bad. My cats can attest to that and refuse to eat the remaining steak. I am having to eat food that causes me to get terrible attacks of angina. This whole episode is like something out of a nightmare.I called the Brick customer support again this morning and he said he would call the Brick store in Barrie where I purchased the refrigerator and see about having a bar fridge sent over to use until the repair gets done. I should not have had to wait this long as they should have a stock of parts locally and not to be sent from China. Also, since I have paid a large sum of money for the extended guarantee, there should have been immediate action to see that I was not so inconvenienced as this. The very nice man in the Brick customer service just called and said he talked to the Brick store. The Brick store just called and it seems all is starting to go more smoothly and they are prepared to lend me a bar fridge. Of course, that still means long walks just to get to the fridge as I have little room for it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the repair is now going to be done soon. If not, I will be taking much stronger action to see results and maybe help the rest of people that own LG products to get better treatment in the future. I have many LG products so it means a lot to me.

Wow! Before I bought the LG Model WT5101HW in Aug. 2010, I could not find bad reviews on this washing machine. I wish Id investigated further. It is just as noted in other reviews; not enough water in most cycles, not energy efficient (1:09 hr. cycle will take up to 1:55 hr.), water levels will sometimes leave clothes dry and still dirty. Machine has been recalled and fixed by service representative (which took three trips), constantly going UE and adding water, etc. There is no way to shorten a cycle except rinse and spin or spin only. I found the only thing that works reasonably well for cleaning is the Bulky/Bedding cycle. This seems to load the water based on level rather than the weight method. But it always fills it full, so I make sure the loads warrant the extra water used. I am considering biting the bullet on a different washing machine when the extended warranty expires in about ten months. I will NEVER purchase another LG product. Worst customer service Ive ever experienced.

Bought a kitchen suite of LG Black stainless appliances in July 2016. Within 2 weeks the gas stove top started to get rust pitting, we called LG, nothing they could do for cosmeticproblems. Strike One. Within one month the icemaker in the door of our refrigerator began building up ice and freezing up. We went online and were advised to check the seal and change the filter. We did, We defrosted it every week for months because water drops would form on the top of the freezer drawer and eventually drip on our brand new oak floors. Not to mention we couldnt open the door to retrieve ice. Strike Two. Well at just over a year the water dispenser decided to turn itself on and flood our kitchen, basement and ruin our floors. A call to LG yielded nothing but a recommendation for a repairman. He showed up, said it needed to be reset. He did that and said it was fixed. Before he could put his tools away and give us the bill the water dispenser again turned itself back on. He had me turn the water supply to it off, said he was going to get some parts and never came back. No bill, no word.... Gone. Well for the last 2 years we make ice with a counter top ice maker. Strike Three. Recently the black Stainless has started to peel ojf the refrigerator. It is literally black saran wrap. We have used nothing but water and a paper towel to clean it for fear of ruining the finish. Anyone else seeing a trend here. We are 2 middle aged adults, no kids around, no pets, who treat our belongings carefully. I couldnt imagine what these appliances would look like in a busy household with kids and pets. LG, worst decision we ever made. Stay away at all costs. Customer service is non existent and products are poorly made. DO NOT BUY.

I will never again buy LG products! They are horrible to deal with. I was on the phone with them for three days. I was told three different stories by three different people. We bought a refrigerator three years ago. Just now, the compressor went out so I called the company and they told me that it was covered under the warranty. However, they did not tell me that I had to pay for all the other parts, such as freon, etc., to get it running again. As a result, I have to pay over $400 out of pocket to fix this side by side stainless steal fridge, along with the $100 worth of food that I had to throw away! I expect much better service when I paid that much money for a product! I will never buy LG products again!

I purchased my washer in 2007 and have been pleased with using it. I am now getting a TE error and I cannot get anyone out that will fix it. I called 2 services and both of them will not even come out to work on it. I had another man come out today and said I need a mother board and he told me they no longer make them??? He said it could be the Thermistor and the part cost $40. Funny, I went online and the cost is $7.00. I have taken the machine apart myself and I am willing to put in my own thermistor but I cannot locate it or find someone at LG to help me. I have been told its in the front which I cannot reach and also told its on the top??? No one will even guarantee they can fix it. LG wants $125 just to come out and service it and there is no guarantee they will fix it. Never again will I purchase a LG.

I purchased the over the range microwave from Best Buy just over a year ago. The microwave stopped working, will not power on. I verified the outlet is good by trying another appliance in it and I even replaced the fuse in the microwave, but still does not work. I called LG, but since it was out of warranty, they said there is nothing they can do and referred me to a local repair shop. The local shop said it would end up costing more than I paid to come out, diagnose, and potentially repair the system. At this point, it seems I have no options left other than buying a brand new microwave. I wasted my money on this LG microwave that barely even lasted one year. Poor quality product and poor customer service.

This washer is supposed to be top of the line material! I have owned it for less than 2 1/2 years and it has been nothing but trouble for 2 years!!! First, I was told that my water pressure was too low for it. So, I had someone work on my well pump to increase my pressure. Not the cure for my problem! Second, I was told it wasnt level. I had it leveled and checked several times. Still the same issues. Third, I was told that my Gain laundry detergent (which I have used my entire adult life) was the problem. Keep in mind, it has HE on the label. Indicating it is for High Efficiency washers. So, I changed detergents. Still not cured??? I have called LG company trying to do the Smart Diagnosis for it. I was put on hold for over an hour, 2 different times! I have to check on my laundry at least 3 times or more for every load. It will pause and throw error IE, UE, or uE with every load!!! My clothes DO NOT get clean! It takes at least 2 hours to do 1 load! Sometimes, it takes ALL day to do 1 load! I am fed up! I am tossing this hunk of junk out and buying a standard old style washer! I want knobs to turn and an agitator that turns and cleans my clothes!

I had my refrigerator just a few months before it started freezing my food in the produce bins. I had it repaired only to have it do it again and the refrigerator temperature would fluctuate. Again I had it serviced only to have it happen again and then it would not keep my overall refrigerator cold enough. I have lost food and then been without a refrigerator in between repairs. Now they are going to replace it but I am now without a refrigerator while paper works needs to be submitted and processed. Then I will have to wait for LG to replace the refrigerator which I was told would be approximately 7-10 days after the paper work was done. My advice would be get another brand!!

After having a house fire and needing all new appliances, we decided to go with an LG 4 piece kitchen appliance package from Home Depot for nearly $3,000. Within 5 years (right after the extended warranty we purchased had expired) the dishwasher stopped draining. We ate the cost of that and got rid of it and purchased one from a competitor. We have also had problems with our oven, sometimes it will go through periods where it wont turn on, then its fine the next day. Again, we are just dealing with that at this point since we cant afford to purchase a new one right now. Finally, we are now dealing with our refrigerator. At $1600 our refrigerator has stopped working due to a bad compressor at less than 8 years old. There is only one technician in our area that LG will let repair this, and while the part is still covered by the manufacturer warranty, the labor is going to be between $500 and $700. This is ridiculous! We had so many options when choosing our appliances and we put our trust and money into LG. We have been living out of a mini fridge for two weeks because we dont have the money to make this repair. After reading all of the same complaints about this refrigerator, LG should be held accountable and make this right for their customers!

Redid my kitchen and went to BrandsMart and bought a complete LG kitchen package, Worst quality product ever. After about 2 or 3 months the fan stops working so we call Brandsmart. Worst customer service ever. They should be ashamed, the guy came out and didnt even have the proper equipment with him to de-ice the fan. My husband had to loan him the equipment. P.S. it works for about 6 months then stops working again so we call Brandsmart again. The guy comes out and resets the refrigerator by unplugging it and plugging it back it, of course that didnt work.I call LG who sends out their own technician who said it was the motherboard. That gets replaced, only to work another 2 months. Now they are replacing the compressor and the two evaporators. I am out of manufacture warranty but LG is covering the labor cost but are giving me a hard time. I requested a new refrigerator and a refund and who knows if that is going to happen. This whole process has been like pulling teeth, I have also been without a refrigerator twice, for 3 weeks each time. They are also giving me a one time food loss credit. Dont know how much, but I think a class action lawsuit is in order, the anxiety and stress dealing with the stupid techs and the customer service is too much. I dont think I can do this a 5th time. The issue appeared to resolve spontaneously. Exactly a year later we are having the same problem. We have completed the ridiculous instructions to unplug the power for 2 hours, then wait 24-48 hours to see if cools. We can expect service in 10 days. I wish I could describe my experience, but there are no words for the dishonestly, incompetence, run-around, LYING, lack of responsibility, unprofessional, and just plain unethical, horrific conduct this company has shown me in spades and spades and spades. I purchased a very expensive LG Space Saver, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer about 16 months ago. Surprise - surprise, the compressor went out. The labor was not under warranty, but the part apparently was. Well, that would require even a semblance of customer service or honestly or even a mild attempt to care about a customer or fix a product. What I got was a vague reference to maybe having someone CALL ME in 2-3 weeks to MAYBE get out there and maybe fix the compressor. First, I was put through a bunch of dumb tests and waiting -- because yeah, a refrigerator SQUEALING, thawing out, and dripping ice down the door could be caused by leaving the door open for 5 minutes. NOT. And I didnt. Still, it took me a while -- playing LGs games -- to realize that nobody has any responsibility or integrity. That they lie as quickly and effortlessly as some folks breathe, and that every single person you talk to will give you a different answer or solution -- absolute no one will mean what they say or follow through. And they could care less how much of your time, effort, or money they cost you (I lost $800 worth of food; spent over 7 hours on the phone, talking to over 12 different people, many not even in the USA, being promised things that never happened -- only to be shuffled to someone else; being referred to their own repair companies THAT DID NOT EXIST! (Literally, I called all three of the companies myself because I couldnt wait 2-3 weeks for maybe. One, the guy was out for the next month or so because of surgery -- yeah, glad I didnt wait 2-3 weeks on him; one, they said they stopped working with LG years ago and wished theyd quit telling people otherwise; and the last one - phone disconnected). Yet, I could not get anyone at LG to understand why I wasnt willing to wait 2-3 weeks for someone at one of these 3 companies to call me!!!In the send you to ten different people, all of who will lie to you game (oh, and prepare to sit on hold for 30 minutes or more at a time, just to be rerouted to someone and start all over... again... and again...), I was told they had a repairman in the area and were sending him to my house now. Please hold. Please hold. Please hold. only to waste another hour and be told I needed to wait on one of the three companies. This went on for 3-4 days!!! Meanwhile, I tried to call an independent repairman -- my family actually needs to eat -- and what I heard from professional after professional after professional was a NIGHTMARE. No one would work with LG. LG does not pay their claims. LG compressors break all the time. Dealing with LG is a virtual nightmare. Etc! I finally found a company with a certified LG repairman (He used to WORK FOR LG) who said he would work on the warrantied part and seek payment for it from LG. (LG had already given me a useless approval # which I could use with one of those three companies. Are we really back to calling the unicorns and Santa Claus again -- newsflash, idiots! They dont exist!) Anyhow, after another day of dealing with a bunch of representatives not in the USA, I got a hold of someone who walked me through a ton of steps in order to send a pre-approved service authorization to the company I FOUND -- it would be in the companys email box in 24-48 hours. Guess what? Surprise - surprise. There was no email authorization; they never sent anything; they never called me back; and I guess they just lied at the time.So I finally paid to have the private company come out and check the refrigerator -- bad compressor. Of course, read the reviews -- everyone is saying this, so LG must know it! Well the company tried to get a hold of LG to schedule a date to fix the compressor -- they had my approval # and told LG I had been given authorization to use them and the authorization was supposed to be in their email box a week ago (oh, and they made me call the company and get a bunch of information, including this email address for this authorization email that never existed. Maybe they do this ** for fun??? Anyhow, the company Id hired could never get hold of anyone at LG -- no surprise there -- so finally went through their world-class (world being literal - class being a JOKE) customer service, only to be told that there would be no authorization because *I* the customer had an appointment scheduled for next week with one of those three original companies. ARE - YOU - KIDDING - ME!?! No one ever called me or scheduled any appointment, and as we all know -- those 3 companies were bogus to begin with. What the ** kind of operation is LG running. This is beyond PATHETIC. Its fraudulent. Moronic. Inexcusable. Sad thing is: I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANY LG PRODUCT AGAIN, no matter how large or small, and Ive already told everyone I know to AVOID THE REFRIGERATORS LIKE THE PLAGUE. Good going, LG.RUN - DONT WALK - AWAY FROM ANY LG REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER. Or at least call half a dozen appliance repair companies and ask what they have to say about this product -- youll get a surprising earful. LG has no customer service, and they couldnt give two ** if their customers ever get anything fixed, let alone in a timely fashion. If you have 20 - 30 - 40 hours to be given the runaround, to sit on hold, to be lied to and shuffled, to speak to folks all over the world who will each tell you a new and ever-more inventive lie, then by all means, buy this refrigerator. But if you think any part of it will ever break, then youre on your own. LG should be ASHAMED. And I hope theres a class-action lawsuit at some point because they need to be exposed.

I purchased my LG refrigerator Lfx31925sw/00 in 2012, paid 2700 bucks for it from Best Buy. After about six months I started to have problems with it. I called LG and they did some repairs on it. It worked for a little while. They had to come back out to do more repairs. This went on several times until the warranty ran out so I had to purchase a second warranty and finally LG sent another company out to work on it. They had several tries at it. Now that warranty is up and still not fixed I try to call customer service. They put me on hold over one hour, they never answered the phone. And to top it off this refrigerator is involved in a class action suit which hasnt helped me. Here it is 2017. This Refrigerator is a Korean company. Must be North Korea. All I can say is DO NOT BUY LG. You will regret it.

Our Model LFD25860TT has a manufacturing flaw where original foil bonded to insulating foam, between coil and freezer-area, flakes off and clogs evaporator drain. It then builds-up overflow water/ice in base and leaking onto floor. (Check online issues.) Had repairman out once, but finally mitigated myself by cleaning-out the flakes and substituting heavy Reynolds foil facing.

After buying LG refrigerator within 7 months the upper freezing compartment stopped working. After the complaint technician came made it work. But again after 9 months faced same issue. Then again technician did resolved it. At the second visit I asked the technician to make sure this should not happen again if it does give me a replacement. But again after 11 months it again freezing was not happening. So again I raised a complain but as the 1 warranty was going to they stopped responding. After 12 months when 1 year free service expired the call center executive without listening to the issue just telling that I will be charged and when I started explained previous complain they started hanging up phone on me. LG service really ridiculous. They dont treat customers well. If this is a case I would say Please dont buy their product.

Purchased a brand new top loading washer in April 2021- finally received the washer in July 2021- machine broke down in Sept 2021. After 2 months of use this machine was broken. I called LG customer support and they sent out technician to fix it- he did not, they ordered more parts and again came back - did not fix again. Currently waiting again for them to fix it again. Over 1.5 months of no washer. They should be providing me with a brand new washer instead of having me wait over 1 month to have it fixed. Still broken. Worst customer service and even worse product. How can a brand new washer be broken after 2 months?? Unacceptable. Would never recommend this company or product to anyone!!!

Our LG is a beautiful-looking appliance and for 2 years I enjoyed most everything except for the water leaking out of the bottom on to my maple floor. I called several times just to speak to someone who said I would have to call an authorized service tech (only they are located 100+ miles away and want a lot of money to come to see if it can be fixed). The ice would build up on the freezer floor, so every week I would remove everything from the freezer, remove the ice, and then the next week do it all over again. Then 3 weeks ago the refrigerator portion just quit cooling. (It will get to 58 degrees and that is it.) Now I put all my perishables in my 20 year old Frigidaire. Nobody wants to come fix the LG and customer service needs a lot of training on being customer service.I also have an LG phone for 1 month -- JUNK. I just want to say when I go buy another refrigerator it wont be LG and I will do a lot of research before I give any of my hard-earned money to another company. By the way, I did not get an extended warranty because my other refrigerator is 20 years old and still works great! Should have not gotten a new one. If I worked or owned LG I would hide my face. This is the second complaint I have written on this product.

Pity theres not a less than 0 stars option. I do several loads of laundry a week for a family of five. The washer doesnt even wet the clothes: I mean the clothes are actually dry in the middle of the load; only the outside of a medium-sized load gets wet. I called LG. When I told the repair guy that the washer didnt get the clothes wet, he checked it and said nothings wrong, thats just how it goes. Here is the proper way to use this washer: Pretreat and load clothes. Run water in laundry room sink until hot; fill a bucket with soapy water, and pour over clothes in machine to make sure they get wet. Set washer to: cotton, pre-wash, extra high heat, highest spin speed, heavily soiled, water plus, and turn on the machine. Wait two and a half hours, and then repeat. Thats right--about two and a half hours to get a load done, five to get them more-or-less presentable. Cold is cold; tap cold--whatever that it--is cold, warm is cold, hot is cold, extra hot is actually hot.I emailed Energy Star: they said that if I have a problem with the machine I should call the manufacturer. When I explained that the machine was working to spec--that it was designed that way--they explained that they DONT TEST the Energy Star machines to make sure they do the job theyre supposed to, they rely on the manufacturer to confirm that the appliance does the job its supposed to AND meet Energy Star requirements. Somebody needs to clue in the EPA and Energy Star: if you have to wash every load twice, in blazing hot water, and replace the appliance every 3 - 5 years (typical of modern machines) youre not saving resources. Getting rid of this and getting an old-fashioned Speed Queen.

My refrigerator stopped working last Friday. It is 2 years old. We called immediately to the call centre. They promised to cover my cost of labour with a local provider. They gave me a number to call the local provider to arrange a time. When I called the provider, they informed me that LG has to send them a work order number. So I called back LG and they said they would expedite this by the end of the day. Nothing happened. I called the provider and no luck. So I called back LG. They told me the same thing, and told me they would call, text or email me by the end of the day. In total, I have called LG 7 times, and a total of 2.5 HOURS on the phone with them. The most recent time I was on the phone 55 min until they told me it would now be 2-5 business days until someone in their service centre called the service provider to give the work order number. And apparently, this is expedited. This is not to mention yesterday, I could not even get through to customer service as their call centre was overloaded, and the recorded message just told me to call back another time. My case number is **. I have now given up, and have to pay for it myself as by the time this happens, it will be well over a week just to arrange a technician. They refuse to email me OR transfer me to the same agent. Getting a floor supervisor to speak to is close to impossible.

We purchased our LG front loading washer and dryer in 2009 from Sears. The dryer model is DLE5955W and it worked beautifully for the first year. Then, all of a sudden, the machine began to cut off mid-cycle and will not dry the clothes completely - particularly on permanent press. We called Sears tech support since we had purchased a 5-year extended warranty on the machine. The technician came out and replaced the ETC board and sensor for moisture. The machine seemed to work for a while, and then the same problem occurred again. This time, they replaced the central board and PLB assembly. A few weeks later, they diagnosed the machine had a sensor failure. Each time, the technicians appeared puzzled and were on the phone throughout the service. While they were very nice, they were unable to fix the problem which continues to persist. This past week, the tech said it’s another sensor and control panel. But when he arrived to replace it, he was told by their technology support team that he didnt have the authorization to install the received part. That phone technician indicated that our ceilings in our home were too high and that the cause of the problem was a venting issue. What we soon discovered was that Sears has a policy that if their technicians arent able to repair the machine after 4 visits, we are entitled to a new machine under the lemon law. This would have been the 4th visit. My husband spent 2 hours on the phone and was passed through every employee in Sears, including their department that determines if the product is a lemon. Weve been buying our home appliances from Sears for nearly 40 years - what a crock of **.

Throws errors LG refused to fix. 2 months old. 3 errors. Model WT7060CV: We purchased from well known retailer, upgraded all external hoses, faucet, etc. at time they installed. Within 2 weeks, started getting errors requiring reset, that worked, now at 2 months of light usage, vacation home, the error claims no water coming into tub. The symptoms however are conflicting: water fills tub and washes, then as it goes into spin, error thrown, tub drains, washer stops working, items in washer are wet. Now we cant get washer to work at all, the current error says requires repair person, we call retailer, they give us LG Customer Service, customer service tells us the problem is no water is coming into tub, I explained that was not the case and reiterated symptoms. We did video call with LG, they found no problem and said the hose must be clogged since no water was coming in. We said yes water is coming in, they said to clean the filters which required taking back off of washer but they wouldnt stay on the call to assist, I said water is coming in and seems odd that after 2 months the filters have to be cleaned and I am not comfortable doing this on my own, they said to stop repeating myself and hung up on me. They gave us 2 repair people in Seattle, 1 out of business, 1 never called back. I asked for repair services closer to East side because anyone further out wont drive to our location, they gave me 2 that are further away than first repair service. Retailer told us LG was supposed to call repair service not us.Now the retailer, who really has been super helpful is dealing with LG and is going to pay for an LG repair company closer to our location that is not on LG authorized list to go out to try to repair the machine. The retailer told me LG is extremely difficult to work with when issues occur with their products. Lesson learned. DONT BUY LG, I now have a shiny new 2 month old washing machine that does not work and neither the retailer or LG will take back. The good news... The dryer works fine. So far.

I then emigrated to Panama and bought another Neochef. Not as good as the one I had in Malta and less accessories. I also bought a LG Dishwasher in Panama, which has a known design flaw. It stopped working within 6 months and I logged a ticket with LG. The repair company came to check it and I gave them all the details of the faulty part and the replacement part. Then nothing happend and Ive moved to another part of the country in the meantime. Id love to have another LG SolarDOM however it seems that LG stopped manufacturing it. My kitchen was filled with 2 LG appliances; a microwave, and a refrigerator
My kitchen was filled with 2 LG appliances; a microwave, and a refrigerator. I’ve had LG products in previous homes as well and although I’ve had to fix them from time to time they have been generally good products. So when it came time to purchase a dishwasher and a range oven I wanted to have a matching set so I went with the LG dishwasher and range oven.My refrigerator is 6 years old now and was not cooling down properly. I called your customer service line to see what could be done and they gave me the name and number of a local technician. I called and set up an appointment with Duncan Home Services. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty compressor. Although it was an inconvenience, I was pleased to remember there was a 10 year warranty on the linear compressors that were in my model of refrigerator (LFX28968ST/01). I called customer service on April 22nd of 2019 to see about getting the compressor replaced. 44 days later and 7 hours, 21 minutes and 42 seconds on the phone with customer support… I still do not have the correct replacement for my faulty compressor.I was given a case number of **. I will detail my dissatisfaction with your call support team later but here is a summation of the issue. In response to my request for a warranty replacement of the compressor, the Tech was sent a compressor with the model number of TCA35533604. This part was identified as a “backup replacement”. The Tech had installed one of these in another refrigerator they worked on just like mine and they knew it didn’t work. Therefore they would not install it and charge me the labor. They determined the correct part was TCA35893202. When they called to order that part they were told it is on backorder until early July.I don’t know if you’ve ever gone without a refrigerator for 2 months but when one is used to it being there, it is ridiculously inconvenient. The summation of what I determined from your customer support team was that I had 3 options that are policies that they say are set by you. 1: Wait another month for the part to come in. 2: I was offered 20% off a new LG refrigerator. 3: If I could produce the receipt then I could be given a new refrigerator. My problems with the above proposals are as follows: 1: I’ve already waited a month and cannot wait another month for a part that may or may not come in. I will be forced to purchase a new refrigerator from one of your competitors. 2: An equivalent replacement refrigerator will be another $2000 minimum. 20% of that is $400. I don’t have $1600 available to buy from a company that is doing a horrible job honoring their Warranty. As I said, I’d prefer to buy from someone else. 3: I know that the refrigerator was purchased at Lowes, I know that it was on or near Black Friday of 2013 but I do not have the original receipt from 6 years ago.I proposed 2 solutions to the problem, but the customer service supervisor said that she didn’t have authority to do either of the 2 options and only you did. I proposed the following: 1: Since the Tech determined that the compressor that LG sent was incorrect they would not Warranty their work. Since I have to pay labor for the installation as that is past the warranty period of 5 years, that is a problem. LG could warranty the work of their tech so I am not on the hook for when the part doesn’t work.2: The correct part (TCA35893202) is available through local appliance parts outlets and retails for around $279. LG could provide a voucher to the tech to purchase the part locally. This would be the quickest and most cost effective solution for all parties in my opinion. So if you could authorize my Option 2 promptly that would be fantastic. I am merely asking for a timely and correct replacement for a warrantied part. Now I spoke with at least 6 different supervisors. They are the 2nd tier of customer support. I have no issue with the first tier of support. They were all professional and as helpful as they could be and got me to the 2nd tier fairly quickly on seven of my ten calls. The 2nd tier of individuals however were the opposite. All I was given were first names so that is all I can provide. They were; Daniel, Brea, Jessie, Jem, Jessica, and Tyesha.Daniel: Daniel informed me that he would send an email to the parts guy Cyrus about the availability of TCA35893202 and he would call me back. That was early May and I never heard from him. Brea: She was generally pleasant but couldn’t help me any. She told me the tech would have to call the parts department to see if the correct compressor was available. (The tech did call and was told that the correct compressor was on backorder.) Jessie: Jessie appeared to be helpful and told me that he/she was going to send an email to Cyrus as well to see if the part was truly back-ordered. If it was, he/she could issue a replacement refrigerator (Which surprised me and I did not ask for.) He/she said I would get a phone call later… I did not, again. Jem: I’m not sure if I have the name right but she basically hung up on me and sent me back to the 1st tier people. They put me back through to the supervisors and I got Jessica. Jessica: I wasn’t particularly pleasant with Jessica as I was beyond frustration at this point. She responded by being extremely unhelpful and refused to walk through the notes of the previous 7 or 8 calls I had made. I told her what Jessie had said earlier about the replacement but she told me there was no Jessie in her office. She ended up telling me that TCA35893202 was NOT back-ordered and it was available but the tech had to order it. (The tech did call again to order it and was told that the part was still back-ordered.) I feel that I was blatantly lied to.Jessie: Imagine my surprise when I in fact got Jessie again despite Jessica telling me there was no Jessie. This time Jessie offered me the 20% off a replacement refrigerator. I told her that was not satisfactory, nor was the waiting until July for the part and that I could not produce a 6 year old receipt. She put me on hold… for a really long time until… Tyesha picked up the line and I got to re-explain everything to her. Tyesha: She just continually reiterated my 3 unsatisfactory options and told me there was nothing she could do and my only recourse was to write you a letter. So here I am. Should this situation not be remedied by my Option 2 listed above or a better idea you come up with yourself I will never be purchasing any LG product again. I will also never recommend an LG product to any family or friends. Although they are not particularly effective against your bottom line, these are my only options for recourse and I will pursue them endlessly. Thank you. Mark **

I have had my LG refrigerator for a little over 5 years now. On Thursday my compressor went out for the second time. I called customer service and they stated it is under warranty, however they were also going to make an exception because the labor was not covered. Their next available appointment was 5/7/20. I get a call back a few hours later and I am told the next available appointment is actually until 5/18/20. It is currently 90 degrees where I live and since I am at risk have limited my grocery shopping to every 2-3 weeks. Lucky for me I had just gone grocery shopping. I ask LG, Will you pay for a rental fridge? (given its a known problem)….Nope. How about the roughly $200 in groceries I had just purchased....nope. How about sending anyone out sooner....We will call in 24-48 hours.Get a call and now I am being told my new appointment date is 5/19/20. Call back since it is ridiculous to wait 3 weeks to get a known problem fixed. Ask about reimbursement for me purchasing a new fridge….nope. Ask if I can get my grocery reimbursement if I buy a new fridge....nope. Then I am told I can call around to find someone and get all their information etc. and they MAY be able to authorize this company to fix my compressor. All I can say is WOW, really hoped my experience would have been not like I read in other reviews but I guess not. Here is to a waste of a fridge and a horrible customer service experience.

After using LG washer WM4270HWA several months, the ink writing is coming off from the washers front panel and front panel buttons. Please look at the attached picture. The panel was not cleaned using any cleaners. The only explanation is there can be some detergent residue on the fingers after loading the detergent (coming from the detergent bottle or cup). It will dissolve the ink. This is the design problem since it has to be assumed that you are dealing with detergent and LG could cover the front panel writing with transparent plastic or film as they actually do on Power and Start/Pause buttons, proving that they are fully aware of the problem. They could use other inks or just glue the stickers that can be replaced later. Unfortunately, they didnt think much about it and went with the cheapest solution, and this is not the cheapest washer model. Finally, they refused to replace the panel saying it is a cosmetic damage. However when all letters will be gone how to select the washing options? It will be a functional issue. Having extended warranty is not helping either, Home Depot, where the washer was bought, is saying the same. One of their suggestions is to take a marker and write on the panel. Ridiculous nonsense. Be aware.

Very nice fridge, all the looks and gadgets that we (my wife) wanted. But after 3 years the compressor died and LG was a nightmare to deal with. It took ~5 months of tech visits after it completely died but they never fixed it 100%. Despite the 10 year warranty, they just said sorry and offered me to either (1) deal with it or (2) take a check for half the price I paid for it 3 years earlier and void the remaining warranty. So overall were looking for a new fridge now. My advice is DO NOT buy this fridge unless you also are buying a 5+ year warranty through an independent company (big box store) who will back it up, because LG will not.

We purchased a washer/dryer (DLE5955W) combo in 2009 for approximately $700 apiece. After just 3 years, the dryer stopped working appropriately - the drum would not stop turning and now it wont turn at all. After multiple calls, my wife and I turned to the internet and chat room help. I have friends who have $300 off brand dryers that have been working for 20 years and our $700 Life is Good unit lasted 3 years - what a joke! I am absolutely shocked at the massive number of problems that these units have and they refuse to do anything about it. I cannot fathom why LG allows these types of challenges to continue. Oh wait - yes I do - we, as consumers, continue to buy their products so they keep making them this way. I wish LG would have honor and integrity in their business and fix the circuit board and dryer drum challenges that millions of people are having.

My refrigerator stopped cooling after only 3 years. It is under warranty and the manual says that service is 365 days per year and 24 hours per day. It is a lie. After 11 days it has not been fixed and we have had no help. We have a household of 6 with 2 seniors, 1 essential worker and 3 young children. This has been a hardship and we let the company know this. We have spent many hours calling, texting and emailing without any end in sight.

We upgraded our entire kitchen with LG appliances. This may end up being a deadly mistake. I am paranoid we are not going to wake up some morning. The knobs on the gas range are UNSAFE. It only takes a slight bump for either the gas to come on or the burners ignite. I cant believe LG has not done a recall on these ranges. I ordered child proof gas safety knobs to put on, but the LG knobs are too big. LG I beg you correct this before someone dies.

My LG refrigerator broke down over a week ago after just 18 months. I paid over $3,500 for it. I have been trying to have my case reviewed by LG for over a week now but they keep rejecting my proof of purchase even though on top of the original receipt and invoice, the Home Depot store where I purchased it from, issued an official proof of purchase letter. I spent over $7,200 on all LG appliances and I am not happy with any of them. The display on the stove broke down in the first week I had it. The washer keeps stalling when I run certain programs. The dryer routinely stops with an error message that the duct is blocked (which is bogus, we checked it on many occasions and there is no obstruction) and the dishwasher does not completely dry the dishes even in extra dry mode. I have never before written a negative review but this company does not deserve to be in business. They do not stand by their product and use the annoying and false slogan Life is Good. Good for them maybe. Not for the customer. Their customer service is a nightmare. All calls are answered by representatives who serve as a layer of protection so you cannot actually get through to anyone who is a decision maker. If you are considering a purchase of an appliance, please stay away from the LG brand!!! Worst ever. I owned a Samsung fridge before and it worked like a dream and was nicely designed. I kick myself in the rear end for not sticking with my gut when I made the decision to purchase the LG junk brand.

Bought model # LMX25964 refrigerator in August 2011. As of May 11, 2015, this appliance just stopped working. Since very few appliance repair businesses are allowed to work on LG appliances, we called LG customer service. Here are directions we were given: Unplug the fridge. Wait awhile. Plug it back in. Open and close the two freezer doors three times. Now, wait 24 hours before opening the freezer again. (am guessing this is when the Voodoo Doctor will visit). We are in that 24 hour wait as I type. Will NEVER buy another LG product again.

When I decided to purchase this washer, I chose LG expecting to be dealing with one of the top corporations in electronics. What a disappointment! On trying to have it repaired - error message indicating the machine is not draining - I contacted you asking for a local authorized dealer. I was given the name of RISING SERVING SOLUTIONS whom I contacted and got an appointment for a WEEK LATER. So far, after 3 visits of their technician who changed the drain motor twice, the brain of the machine and having paid $390 for the repair, I continue to have the same exact problem. On my last conversation with the technician he alleged that the problem is with the drain hose/pipe.Although Im not knowledgeable on the subject this explanation makes no sense, since the machine drains water properly on the wash and rinse cycles, presenting the problem only on the spin going on to dry cycle. Calling twice and speaking to your supervisors at customer service led nowhere. What to do next?

4 weeks ago I purchase LG refrigerator Model LMXS28626S/04. Customer service was RUDE!

The LG washer/steam (model Wm2699HNM) broke after 5 years. I called LG and the girl in India wanted to troubleshoot the problem over the phone before referring me to a repairman. I did troubleshoot with her to no avail and then she gave me the number of a repairman. The repairman came out and thought it was the motor. He opened it up to repair it and found that the drum had become detached from the spinner. He said he had never seen this happen on an LG washer. I sent LG an email and didnt receive a response. Then, I called them the next day. They stated that the drum had a lifetime warranty and the motor had a 10-year warranty, but there was nothing they could do for me for this problem. I spoke to an executive manager for the problem and he stated he was sorry that he couldnt help me since my washer was over a year old!

I spent two ** days trying to find out what the codes from my LG LMX28988st refrigerator were trying to say. This fridge I bought From Sears for $2500 3 years ago stopped being cold. I called LG & Sears tech support asking for a service manual, both were less than helpful. I finally found a service manual on a blog link, it was so easy to find out the blinking code said the circuit board and the compressor needed replaced on my 3 year old fridge. Spending nearly $900 on my LG washing machine was the single biggest waste of hard earned money I’ve ever experienced. This thing is not worth the box it came in. It’s the worst household appliance I’ve ever owned. Since my purchase I’ve read countless reviews saying the exact same thing. It’s not at all unusual to spend between 12 and 36 hrs to actually get a load of clothes washed after continuous malfunctions. We are literally hauling it to the landfill. This machine would be an insult to give to someone else. I will most definitely not ever purchase another LG product. BE WARNED... Do your research and check reviews before wasting your money on any type of LG washing machine. This product doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Customer service is non-existent so don’t waste your time trying to get help, they could literally care less about any problems you might be having.

This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. As of today, we have had at least two compressors replaced and now waiting for a whole new evaporation system to be installed. I am going to sell it to the highest bidder on a Swip Swap page and hope they have better luck with it. Worst machine EVER! Seriously. It shakes so hard I am surprised there isnt a hole in the wall. We purchased the Lg fridge model # LSC26905TT Serial # 706MRBW15621 in March 2008 from Best Buy. In August 2013 we discovered that at some point the hose in the back of the fridge feeding water into the ice maker and water dispenser had been leaking. Our basement as well as items in our basement were soaked and some things were ruined as well as the floor under the fridge and the surrounding cabinets. I made several attempts to contact the company directly via e-mail, which was the only information I could seem to find, when we discovered that the hose wasnt just leaking but it had burst for no apparent reason. I got no response at the time and gave up, calling Best Buy Geek Squad to make the repairs, being told by the repair person that it was rather unusual that the hose had burst and seemed to be a defect in the materials. In the following year I had noticed a sticky substance oozing from around the front of the freezer causing extensive damage to the seal around the freezer. The edges around the front of the freezer become extremely hot. There was a very loud squealing coming from something off and on and most recently I heard a sound of dripping water and discovered upon removing the back of the unit that water was dripping from an unidentified area and pooling at the bottom. We cleaned this up and I called Best Buy Geek Squad to look at it for possible repairs. When explaining all of the issues they told us to call Lg directly and provided a customer service number and I was able to reach someone directly this time. On October 1st a repair man by the name of Maximo came to the house and said that he had never seen the problems we were having. He took pictures and live streamed them to the home office, telling us to call in 3 business days to check on the repair status. He also said that he had noticed singe marks near/around some of the coils and to stop using the fridge as it was a fire hazard. When I called (the next day, not 3 business days later) I was told they could not tell me what they are thinking of doing but they definitely could not make any repairs to the fridge. I was told they would decide to either replace the fridge or give us some sort of a refund check. I explained I have a toddler in the house and not having a fridge for an undetermined amount of time is difficult and the woman by the name of Angelica told me she would make a note to expedite the decision. Oct 6th was the third business day and I was still not told what they intended to do just that I needed to provide a receipt of purchase. Again I explained I have a small child and need to provide items such as milk for her and would like to know how long it would be and I was told only when we provide the receipt could they proceed with their decision. One day later, Oct 7th I was finally told by a woman named Barbara that when they receive the receipt they would determine a prorated refund to provide. She was very rude hanging up on me but not before speaking to me as though I was a child, when in fact I am an upset dissatisfied customer with a defective fridge that I thought just needed a bit of repairs and now I am being told they cannot fix it because they dont even know what is wrong with it yet we are responsible for purchasing a new fridge out of pocket. I did also speak with her supervisor by the name of Michael. He was very kind but not very helpful, again telling me it would be a prorated refund of most likely only about $200. This was a $1500 fridge that is only 6 years old that is broken due to manufacturer defect and I find that to be an unacceptable solution, especially considering the fridge was a fire hazard and could have set my house on fire at any time of the day or night putting my entire family at risk including my daughter who is not yet 2 years of age, and this is all due to manufacturer defect, not something the customer has done yet the customer is the one made to deal with all the consequences. I dont know of any other brand fridge that breaks after only 6 years of use and the company obviously doesnt stand behind their products seeing as they are not willing or able to fix the problem, and in researching Lg further I see there are hundreds of similar complaints against the quality of their products as well as their poor customer service. This consumer will never purchase Lg again.

I am disappointed with LG Customer Service. I am a repeat customer and have been treated as though LG does NOT care. My dryer (purchased 10-17-2018) did not dry our clothes beginning on 7-8-19 (today is 8-6-19) and is still not working. I have had A&E Factory Service out 3 times already and is still not working. The first diagnosis (7-16-19) was it was a bad igniter. A new one was shipped and 9 days later the technician came out (7-25-19) to replace and behold the igniter that was shipped was defective. So a new one was ordered and is it is still not working. When the A&E technician came out today (8-6-19) he said he had a message from Stack(?) to further expedite the issue they would have a conference call with LG. Today it was determined that there MIGHT? be an issue with the control board. So to expedite this the A&E technician requested the part be shipped overnight. LG REFUSED to ship this overnight. I called your customer service number (800-243-0000) after an 1/2 hour on the phone they said they could not help and suggested that I call the parts department. In case you are wondering if you read that right, yes, I should call the parts department to try to convince them.Look I realize it cost a couple bucks extra to ship overnight, but after 29 days and is it is still not working, is this the kind of customer service one can expect from LG? So for that extra $5 is it worth it to LG to lose a repeat customer? Is it worth $5 to LG to have me tell others of my experience when asked by family and friends?

I purchase an LG french door refrigerator at Home Depot in June 2010. It has been one year and 7 months and now the refrigerator broke. It does not freeze nor cool off. I contacted LG customer care at 1800 243 000. I explained what happened. I asked to have it fixed or changed for a new one. To my surprise, they claimed they couldn’t do anything. I explained that I had purchased insurance and extended warranty. At the time of purchase, LG claimed it is not theirs and they couldn’t do anything to go back to Home Depot. I called Home Depot. They claimed they couldn’t service it yet. I have to wait almost a week before they send a technician, and they don’t replace any parts. With the game they have between Home Depot and LG, I am with no refrigerator and out of $2000.00 and $300.00 worth of market. My question as a consumer is: who is responsible for these damages? I paid almost $2000.00 for the ** refrigerator and it worked fine until their so called warranty expired. And now they don’t want to be responsible for their bad equipment. I am upset at the fact that the consumers affairs and the better business bureau would allow these companies to sell such expensive appliances which are good only until their warranty expires. I hate the way LG just bluntly told me it is not their problem and there is nothing they can do. How dare they rip off the public like that! A good refrigerator should last at least a good 10 years especially for the prices they are being sold to the public. I paid the price they ask for. How dare they rip off the consumer in such way! And there is the game they play. LG tells me to call Home Depot and Home Depot tells me to call LG. Neither one wants to be responsible for the defected refrigerator they sold me. What am I supposed to do? Get another refrigerator because these two irresponsible companies would not take responsibility and stand behind their damaged goods? I am waiting for your response. Thank you.

My old washing machine gave out and I invested in what I thought was going
My old washing machine gave out and I invested in what I thought was going to be a good washer. I decided to splurge a bit in order to get a good washer. I purchased from a 3rd party (JCPenney) so it took 4 weeks plus an additional 2 weeks because it was on back order. So for 6 weeks I was going to the laundromat. I took the day off work to be available for delivery. The delivery guys dropped it off, hooked it up and checked it and it was working. I did my first load of laundry and it would not complete a load. It gave me an error message. All day long I tried different ways around it and nothing. My husband changed the water hoses since it said it was the water pressure and nothing. We called LG that evening and basically was told because it was the water pressure in our home that they would not send a repairman. Our house is very new and our old washer worked fine water pressure wise. We told them to just take it back then and they agreed.Very long story short they would tell us they would take it back and or send a repairman and nothing would happen. We would call back and same promises and nothing. JCPenney has called them various times to have them send someone to repair and they refuse. Now its 2 weeks out and we, JCPenney and even the delivery people have called various times to get it repaired or returned and they refuse. Its insane were having to go through this kind of trouble when its brand new out of the box and we bought warranties on it. Im extremely disappointed in the way LG is handling this situation and I will never buy another LG appliance in my life nor will I recommend to anyone that they do either. They have lost a good customer because we are loyal to brands that are good to us. I wish they would just take this dang washer, refund us and we could just get a different brand. Never again will I make the mistake of buying LG.

Ive done everything that I could think of to get this dishwasher to clean my dishes. Ive tried every type of soap, vinegar, rinse aid, pretty much washing the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and they come out dirtier than I put them in. This dishwasher hasnt worked correctly since I purchased it. I never had a lick of trouble with my Kenmore. Im so disgusted and wont purchase another LG.

LG LFX259785SB/00 - 4 year young LG refrig compressor failed. Shame on LG but the kicker is after almost 1 week we were told by LG that the comp is on BACKORDER and MAYBE be in by September 1 BUT NOT SURE. Tells me that this model and others who use same compressors were bad from the get go. Who can go without refrig for that long??? My mother who is 90 and still able to live on her own is going through this as we speak... $1900.00 + and only 4 years of use. Had to go out and buy her a small refrig - just trying to get her by until and unknown time of repair. Food lost and labor should be included in the fix but it wont happen. Class action anyone??

The good part about LG is that they do try to present a customer service initiative to folks who post on social media. Sadly, it is a hollow effort. As anyone can read on this site, the response is either a really poor AI or worse, a person who types the same thing. Buying a $2,000+ refrigerator that makes excessive noise is unarguably a significant issue. LG claims this noise is normal, and I dispute that. Compressor noise that can be heard in other rooms is not normal. While LG did send a technician out to assess this issue, that was inconclusive, and the best LG can offer is to send another one out. But if the noise - the worst Ive experienced with any refrigerator for decades - is considered normal, why bother. When buying an LG refrigerator, be sure to buy the retailers extended warranty that allows a return after 3 (or whatever) attempts to repair.

I purchased the LG french door fridge in the summer of 2016. Since then, the compressor stopped functioning after 2 years. I spoke with LG and they were no help and had to pay to service people to figure it out. This past month weve had an awful smell in our kitchen whose source could not be identified. It was only yesterday we figured out it was emanating from the fridge. We checked online for similar complaints and found someone who located it at the back of the fridge. We had to remove the lower panel and clean out these trays filled with thick yellow residue. The trays do not come out so we had to use chopsticks and an entire pack of clothes to clean it out... This is unacceptable to us and we are at a loss as to what to do with this fridge. STAY CLEAR OF THIS FRIDGE!!!

I agree with what everyone has to say about these new washing machines. I bought the LG 1101 washer 2 years ago. Chose this model as consumer reports gave it a raving review. After doing a couple loads I felt that the machine wasnt washing the clothes very well - white streaks on dark clothing, dry spots on clothes, not smelling clean at all so I would watch how much water would go into a load - not much! I pulled out a grey dress shirt after a full wash cycle & could see that it was completely dry in certain areas! I called LG & asked them if they were the right people to call or should I have called Sears (where I purchased it). Of course they said I made the right call as they would send a repairman out & because I had the machine for only 2 weeks. I should have called Sears because then I could have returned the machine!Anyways repairman said that the machine is doing what its suppose to do - senses load & puts water accordingly. I showed him a picture of the shirt & he said he understood. He has heard the complaint many times. He said to get around the not enough water issue was to open up washer so it thinks youre adding more clothes so then it will add more water. What a waste of time having this machine is! I have been doing this with every wash load but sometimes I forget because I dont have time to wait for it to start filling. I now put about a bucket full of water (about 10 litres) into the machine after putting the clothes in & then start up the machine. Pretty pathetic that I have to do this to a brand new machine. I absolutely hate my new LG washing machine. Wish I had never purchased it. Its really too bad as I was so excited about getting it as I had never owned a new washing machine before.

My husband purchased this set less than 5 years ago. Our clothes smell horrible, like mold and mildew. We have tried the tub clean cycle on the washing machine, have bought products designed to clean the washer, and we leave the door and detergent drawer wide open when not in use to try to keep mold from growing. Absolutely nothing works! I contacted LG customer support and they said I had to get someone to service it. Why should I pay someone to do what I have already tried? There is nothing they can do that we havent already attempted. Like others have noted, the thing also will not stay level. My washer is on a top floor and it sounds like an earthquake when the spin cycle is going. The dryer is no better. The clothes are rarely even close to dry when it stops and I have to continuously keep running it for multiple cycles to get them to dry. I should have just kept my top loading Maytag instead of wasting a lot of money on this piece of junk. I never had to buy products to clean out mold and mildew from the top loading Maytag, much less pay someone to service it.

Purchased 3 yrs ago and been trouble ever since. Freezer freezing up and looks like snow over all my food. One time food wouldnt freeze properly and had fixed so I thought. Over 300.00. Worked for weeks and now trouble again. I am on social security and cant afford these bills. Last refrigerator lasted 19 years and still going with no repairs ever!!! This LG looks good but is big expense and this company should have huge lawsuit for all these bad appliances. They do nothing about. Thanks for listening. Please believe me, they are bad!!!

After two years, our LG dishwasher stopped pumping out the water after washing. Upon calling LG customer service, after having to pre-pay an expensive repair bill, they sent a technician to our home to repair the machine. We are now on our fifth visit and the machine is still not repaired. The repair person just took the new parts, put them in the machine, slid the machine back into the cabinet and left, never to return to complete the job.The machines quality is poor, parts difficult to get, and service totally incompetent. Avoid this companys products at all costs. They are over priced, do not last, and are difficult to get repaired. We also own an LG refrigerator and after one year, the ice maker/water dispenser system totally failed. We are talking about a two thousand five hundred dollar refrigerator. Again, avoid LG appliances, they are junk! Their repair service is just as bad, if not worse.
