On 12-22-13 we purchased a new Whirlpool Washer- Model=Top Loading-WTW4800BQ. We also purchased Lowes extended warranty. Washer was delivered on 12-24-13 around 1:00pm. Connected washer. Washer filled with water. System started but would not wash. 10 minutes later it rinsed and drained but would not go thru wash cycle. We clicked the cancel button for 3-seconds to restart. Same problem. Called Lowes - Lady name Kelly continued to tell us we did something wrong. She would not listen and continued to say its Christmas EVE. Finally the workers came out to check it out around 4:00. Confirmed washer is defective and new washer will be delivered on 12-26-13. Confused as to the label on the machine says made with pride in America. Our 20yr. old Cabrio only lasted two years and went up. Never buy another Whirlpool product!

I bought a heater from Lowes in south lebanon ohio in feb. 2013. Gas valve is bad. Whirlpool will not replace it because it was put in a utility room with a toilet in. What a bunch of crap. Their service dept. is joke.

Whirlpool refrigerator stopped working after two years of ownership. The back of the freezer compartment will ice up, stops cooling and makes a loud grinding noise. We expected a much longer life in a brand new refrigerator. Our extended warranty plan has not provided a replacement or comparable credit for a new refrigerator. We have been without a refrigerator for over a 1 1/2 months. Very unpleasant during the holiday season!!! I would never recommend buying a Whirlpool product of any kind.

After less than 3 years it was the bearings, of course. Then, being handy and not stupid enough to pay the $500 for the whole piece of crap Whirlpool/Maytag tub, we bought bearings from the PartsDr. We just didnt dig deep enough to know that the strators on these things are made out of the cheapest Chinese plastic and are cracked in the SAME TWO PLACES EVERYONE ELSES IS!!! Imagine that? Will scrub my clothes in a river on rocks before I ever buy a Whirlpool/Maytag Chinese again. All front load seem to have the same problems but at least some other companies admit it and are trying to correct it. Will research and as with everything else stay away from the USA/Chinese rusty, corroded junk.

I had this same refrigerator in another home and had no issues, this particular one now I have nothing but issues with it. It seems that the quality is not consistent. First the ice maker was not working, then the freezer light burned out and now there is extensive frost build up in the freezer. The refrigerator is only 2 years old!

I really enjoy the self cleaning option on this unit. It really cleans everything without chemicals and then you just vacuum up the dust. My dislike is the ceramic top though. The top scratches really easily and hard to clean up spills during cooking. Overall I would give this stove a b rating.

I purchased a washer, dryer and refrigerator from Sears and it has been a terrible experience! The fridge broke twice, the dryer broke twice, and the washer broke around four times! I was told that since they fixed it last time for free, this repair was on me! If all the items didnt break numerous times, I would not be upset. But for all the items to break so many times, thats telling me that I shopped at the wrong store! The Whirlpool Cabrio sucks! So, I was told by Sears on 8/1/11 to ** it up!

I purchased the Whirlpool Flame Lock water heater (model BFG1F4034T3NOV) in May of 2008. Within a little over a year, it stopped working. I was able to get the manufacturer to send out a repairman and install a new kit. It worked great for 2 years. Now, here I am again with the pilot light going out daily. So I went to Lowes and purchased the thermocouple, and a friend installed it. We still have to light the pilot light twice a day to have hot water for showers.

Whirlpool has a terrible customer service! I have an almost new washer broken and I had it repaired. The company is having the same issues in another model and yet, they would not offer to even refund the repair.

Less than 2 years after we purchased our whirlpool dishwasher, the rack started to rust. Now the tines are so soft they fall off. Whirlpool built in Electric oven Self Cleaning Model # GBS307. Dont Clean your oven! Everytime you clean the oven, the thermal fuse switch will burn up on you and will cost approximately $150.00 to fix. Dont use the self cleaning on this oven!

I have been unhappy with my Whirlpool Cabrio washer since I purchased it from Lowes. I should have looked online before I bought it and then I would not have made the mistake of buying it. The washer leaves soap deposits on the clothes and sometimes leaves a colored soil. It has ruined numerous clothing by tearing out hems of towels and wash cloths and tore a hole in a favorite sweater. I prefer an agitator in my washer. From what I read, I will soon begin to have other major problems and then I will replace it, but not with a Whirlpool.

This oven/range (W10665261B) has a cleaning feature that DOES NOT WORK! Do not buy unless you want to hand scrub the oven without any cleaning products. No one at the company cares. I will discard the oven.

I bought my 50 gallon gas water heater in December 2015. When kicks on it rumbling. I called warranty and they said We will send tech out but I will have pay the labor. Why do I want pay for a tech if the quality issue is the water heater. Need pay $180 for person come out say its defective. No sense to me. Then when they tell me need new water heater pay them for install. You can check my accounts I used to shop Lowes and will no longer do it because of this service.

In 2009 I bought 2 (yes 2) machines (one was for our daughter). I also took out 5 year warranties on both (good job I did). Within the first month on our machine the paddles flew off and after a bit of a debate with the insurers we had another machine (same model). Within a short period from date of purchase both machines had a number of faults - circuit boards, weights that came loose! and bearings going. There are other bits but too extensive to list. To be fair to the insurers they were no trouble (it really is the inconvenience of being without a washer and having to schedule time to get it sorted out). I will never ever buy a Whirlpool as all of these (3 in total) have been a nightmare and ours is sounding noisy again (it only had a new drum 12 months ago for bearings - yes you need a new drum for that £200 in all!!) so I am really glad that we have the insurance. When that runs out and the machine is dead (whichever comes first) I think we will will be buying either a Beko or a Samsung that are getting really high ratings. Anyone reading this might wonder why did we buy these in the first place. Well a colleague of mine at work had one and said it was fantastic (she had children so used hers a lot) hence me buying them (and they were not cheap by any means, so thought we were getting a cracking pair of machines....cracking, yes they might as well be as a chocolate fireguard has more reliability...WARNING DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL WASHING MACHINE - IT COULD DAMAGE YOUR SANITY! I have owned the Whirlpool Cabrio for one year now. I cannot express enough what a complete waste of money this machine is. It literally does not wash clothes in even the most basic interpretation of washing. Clothes are almost in the same position as when they were put in the machine. Dont even bother with stain removal, it just rubs stains in and makes them worse. Seriously beware. Very expensive and not worth one dime. Im replacing with the Maytag. I should have stayed with in the first place. I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again. Must have skipped the entire product development on this one. We had an old Whirlpool dishwasher that worked great for over 20 years. It had the ole tried and true knobs in front. We replaced it with another Whirlpool when we updated the kitchen. That one had the new electronic panel in front, it lasted 6 years then we had all kinds of problems and finally replaced it with a Bosch, also with a electronic control panel. We have had this one 4 years and it is not working at all. Wont start and keep a cycle on. Spent $500 on it and its a piece of crap. Thousands of complaints on the internet for these new types of dishwashers. The electronic controls panel are faulty, and probably get wet from repeated use. Go back to the knobs. They worked for years and years!

I purchased Whirlpool washer in 12/2011. Immediately, I noticed the noise and called service. It was a whistling noise. The clerk told me nothing was in the manual and it would cost $65 to have a tech come out. He advised me to wait until it was louder and more consistent. I called again when it was. Gear case was replaced on 5/2/2012 five months after purchasing the machine. I called Whirlpool again in 5/2013 - same problem. I was told the diagnostic call would be $95, labor which is extended for a major job is $85 and the part would be $290. It would cost $470 to repair as the gear case was guaranteed for only three months. This machine is a lemon since the gear case is now shot again prior to the machine being 1-1/2 yrs. old. I called Whirlpool and spoke to Amy (Esc. Sup.) who advised they would replace the part only. The appointment was scheduled; the tech came, did diagnostics reading a manual and said the gear case is shot. I inquired, Well, you are going to fix it today right? The reply was, Oh no, it has to be ordered and its a two-man job. When I arranged for this appointment, this was clearly explained and what I was expecting, two men and the part to be replaced with them. Now its a five-day wait to get the part and then a scheduling issue when they could do it. This machine is a lemon and Id like to have the machine replaced or my money refunded. This is a runaround, scheduling the appointment and having someone show up with the manual and having no parts and not knowing that it was the part which broke again from previously being replaced.

Whirlpool Gold Fridge Model GR2SHWXP002 purchased on August 15, 2007 for $1,368.77. Only repair issue so far was water leaking from the Water Inlet Valve Item # 949403. I bought a new part on Aug 8, 2011 for $73.45 and replaced it myself. The plastics on the fridge door have yellowed. No smoking in the house so not sure why the plastic has changed colour??? Would I buy one again?? Yes I love the water through the door feature and the automatic ice maker. 10 years old now and no major problems.

The machine was great and handled large amounts of laundry. It was very expensive but my wife was happy with its performance. A year and a half into owning it, the electrical code F70 comes up and it stopped working. When I checked online, I found it is a common problem. I contacted whirlpool customer service and they could not do anything. Spoke to the manager, Kiesha and she refused to help me even though I bought both the washer and dryer for a lot of money. Customer service is not a priority evidently. She denies that there is an on-going problem when both the internet and my service tech say differently.

My review is not about Lowes, it is about the Whirlpool Range I purchased. I purchased a Whirlpool Range in 2013. In a matter of a few weeks the drawer at the bottom was giving problems. It was still under warranty and a repairman was sent to repair it at no cost to me. Something was broke about it. The drawer is so flimsy made it is not made to hold much of anything to start with. I have to take all sorts of effort to get it to close correctly. It is just shoddy made. Then a few weeks ago a piece of the side trim on the oven door fell off. My husband got it back on and then it fell off again last night. I am not happy with this stove, it is cheap made for $550.00. It is white with a smooth cooking surface. Drawer is so shallow and wont stay on the tracks, things fall out over the back. I am not satisfied with this stove, but I have got to keep it.

GX5FHTXVB00 - Purchased fridge in 2009. In the second year the freezer got too cold and fridge was warm. Coils were frozen. Lost all food. Repairman replaced thermostat. This happened twice more with the same result. My warranty has expired, fridge is 5 years old and its happened for the 4th time. Whirlpool doesnt care since its out of warranty. NEVER will I purchase a Whirlpool appliance. They DO NOT stand behind their product!

Aqua clean does not work. I purchased this range this year not knowing aqua clean was different than a standard self cleaning. I had not use the range since its delivery in June until Thanksgiving. One meal in the oven and the turkey had created staining on the sides and the bottom. I have run the self clean cycle so far four times and scrubbed till I’m blue in the face. The greasy stuff does not lift off and the warranty voids if you use anything else. Have already contacted the dealer to see if I can return this!

My Whirlpool Gold Star aqualift oven stopped working right at three years, when the warranty ended. I paid the $650 for repairs to the stovetop, hoping this was a one-time situation. Six months later, my oven has quit. This product is not a good investment. Im very disappointed.

2020 Maytag washing machine purchased Sept. 19 2020, never worked from day one. Agitator does not work, makes noise like the machine is struggling to work. Does not rinse detergent out of clothes. Water level is minimal. Went to the dealer Dufresne in Swan River, MB. They sent out a repairman which I paid for, I was informed many customers were complaining that these machines are nothing but garbage. I went back to Dufresne and confronted the sales woman, laughed in my face and told me to leave the store, I was totally taken aback by her rudeness, phoned Whirlpool, spoke to a woman who was very ignorant, I asked to speak to a supervisor who told me thats the way the machines are designed because they are made, DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES, NEVER NEVER.

The buttons that turns on the burners and oven turn on with a very light touch and start leaking gas and sometimes light. Its very dangerous and has done this since We got it new from Lowes. I wonder if there was a recall on this model or if lots of other customers have had the same trouble. I also have a side-by-side Whirlpool Gold Fridge purchased from Lowes Retail Store, and I paid $1,480.00 for it. It is now 4 years old and I just noticed large cracks on right, inside part of the fridge. I called Whirlpool and got a runaround. Some lame guy said, Sorry, nothing we can do for you.When are people going to stand up for their rights and fight for their bucks? I have a Whirlpool stove. Theres nothing but problems with the oven sensor. This is the 3rd time we have to replace it. It had problems ever since I bought and thats been 11 years ago. My Magic Chef lasted 13 years with no problems. I have a Whirlpool microwave that had a recall on it. Never buy Whirlpool!

I have not had any problems with my Whirlpool refrigerator. It is four years old and has had two owners, including myself. It has the stainless steel look and has top to bottom french doors, one side is the freezer and the other the refrigerator. Both sides are equally the same size. It has a filtered water dispenser and ice maker in the door. Id say for the price it is a really good value.

The salesperson was great but we are not happy with our washer. We already had it swapped out once because of white spots showing up on our clothes. The only thing they could think of was that the bleach I used wasnt rinsing out completely so it showed up on our clothes. Recently, I washed a table runner by itself and it had some red in it. Now there are red spots on a couple of items that I washed after the runner. My husband just now asked why there were red spots on a shirt that he wears all the time. I explained. Also, we have had some white spots on clothes and I could scratch it out without leaving a permanent mark. Were no longer using bleach and we use only liquid detergent and all of it is HE. So I dont understand the machine. I hate it.

I purchased a side by side Whirlpool refrigerator in December 2009. In one year’s time, all of the plastic shelving has completely broken. The repair man said that he felt like the plastic was substandard and to call Whirlpool but they said that we must have abused the shelving.I and my husband are senior citizens and the only ones using this refrigerator. How can all the plastic components break within one year? I had my last refrigerator for over 10 years and I gave it to my son. It is still running and all the plastic shelving is still intact.I feel Whirlpool should fix this problem but they do not care about their customers. Once they have your money, you are forgotten. In the end, they will be forgotten because I advise everyone I know not to buy from Whirlpool.

This washing machine is a piece of junk. It broke down exactly 2 days after the one year warranty expired. Home Depot said there was nothing they could do and Whirlpool said the same thing. This washing machine was not used on a weekly basis. It perhaps washed 20 loads during the course of the year. I had many issues with the sensors before it broke down completely. Sometimes, half the clothes would be dry after the entire cycle. I was so angry that I had a local independent contractor come in and look at it. He said the motor was broken and needed to be replaced. So much for $700 down the drain. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. This was the worst experience Ive ever had with an appliance.

1.0 out of 5. This is the absolute worst washer that I have ever owned. Do NOT fall for the top loader hype. The clothes do not get clean. Anything black constantly comes out with a white residue and whites are dingy. Ive tried numerous detergents and used as little as a tablespoon and still get the same results. The company just insists that its too much detergent or that I need to run the clean cycle after every 4-5 loads. The service guy that came out said this is the number 1 complaint with these washers and Ive talked to plenty of friends that experience the same issue. The company would have you think this is the first time they have heard of it.I have spent hours on the phone with whirlpool and Home Depot over the past year and neither accept responsibility or offer any solution other than some free cleaning tablets from Whirlpool and Home Depot offered $200 off the purchase of another washer. This was when the washer was only 6 months old. The only way around this is to rewash the clothes and a second cycle and to wash all loads on bulk load with an extra rinse. Yep. Great water savings there! Save yourself the headache and dont buy a top loader of any brand and I would never buy another appliance of any kind from Whirlpool and Home Depot because of their poor customer service in handling this common issue.

Whirlpool has been an absolute nightmare from day 1. We bought a brand new 50-gallon water heater from Lowes. It did not work. We went back to Lowes and were told to contact whirlpool. We contacted Whirlpool and were told to conduct a number of test and all test passed, so they said we needed a plumber to come look at it. Remind you that this water heater is brand new and has not worked since day 1. They said the plumber would cost $130 and they would pay for parts. Why am I having to pay when my water heater has never worked. Paid the money. Had them come. They replaced a part, did not work, replaced another and it did not work, so the plumber requested a new water heater. Whirlpool refused. What is the point of paying and they are not going to fix it.Whirlpool insisted it was our ventilation even though all test proved that was not the problem. So out of pocket again to fix the ventilation and it did not work. After 2 months of no hot water with a two-year old at home we had someone we know come look at it and fixed the main pipe. Whirlpool took my money and didnt fix my problem. HORRIBLE SERVICE.

I bought a 38 gal. low boy electric Whirlpool water heater from Lowe’s. It was replaced because of a leak around the upper heating element after only one year. Now, the replacement heater is leaking in the same place, and it has been leaking so long that the electric terminals are rusted, water is standing in the cover plate, and the lining is soaked. I cannot see behind the plate and dont know it until the water finally made its way into the drip pan beneath the heater. When we saw the standing water, we turned off the electricity and shut off the water to it to stop a fire hazard. The warranty is up on my water heater, but my concern is that this could cause someones home to burn.

Owned it for approximately 15 years and has never had any problems with it all. I would highly recommend this product because it is affordable and easy to care for. It even comes with a filter for water. Great refrigerator.

Model #wfw70hebw Duet washer. Lasted 18 months, replaced one sensor and then find out computer board is toast. Seems this was an issue as I was told there is a CORE deposit on the old board so it can be repaired and resold. WTF? New board (repaired) is almost $300. That is a bunch of bull.

I inherited this microwave when we bought our house and have been very happy with it. It does not take up much space, heats well and evenly and the beep at the end of the cycle is not as irritating as other microwaves I have owned. However, I do find the glass turntable difficult to get back on track after I take it out for cleaning. It will wobble if not put back exactly right.

Whirlpool washer cabrio WTW7800X - Lid broke for the second time in less than a year. It is a defective part. Whirlpool should recall it. I will never buy Whirlpool again. The lid costs more than $200 + labor to replace.

Whirlpool Cabrio. A little noisy, 2 or 3 years, do exactly what the manufacturer says they will do. Start them up, run them, go get the finished product... The previous set, same brand lasted us 15 years and then went on to help someone else. Still have the same dishwasher, Whirlpool, 11 years, no repairs, no breakdowns. Bought refrigerator, and micro-wave also, several years back. No problems, no service calls, no stops.

I bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator (model GX5SHDXV01) about 5 years ago. This company used to have a great reputation, but times have changed. At 2 years, the defroster went out and needed to be replaced. I thought at the time it was just one of those flukes, since Whirlpool makes such good products. But, here I am again with the defroster out at just over 5 years old. I contacted customer support and was told that they would not stand behind their product. Twice in 5 years is ridiculous! Poor marks for reliability.

I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator Model # WRF990SLAM00 in May of 2013. My wife started noticing ice build up on the ice maker in the refrigerator section of this French Door model. We had it serviced for the same problem 4 times and the problem still existed. At this point, Whirlpool offer to give us our money back, and here is where things got interesting. My wife spoke with a Sheila who was to issue a check to a third party company who would then pick up the refrigerator and give us the check. Sounds simple enough, huh? The company was to get the check in 7-10 business days so we bought a new refrigerator, a Samsung this time, and scheduled its delivery for the time frame we were told the non-functioning fridge would be picked up. My wife could not get in touch with Sheila, which was always a problem, and we talked to a Beth who told us that this whole process had not even been started yet. Well, we are having our new fridge delivered and still waiting on our check and for someone to come and pick up this American-made piece of crap! We wanted to buy American, but this is what we got, a piece of crap!!

Whirlpool Clothes Washer Model WTW4930XW1 - We have experienced tub overfilling on (2) separate occasions with this washer model in a period of time of less than (2) years. Through extended warranty service purchased, a technician came out the first time; declared nothing explainable to cause the malfunction, re-calibrated the control panel, and off he went. This second event occurred much the same as the first; happened to walk in to notice water on laundry room floor and witnessed overflow out the lid on top. We have carefully washed additional loads after this second event without a similar malfunction. From my online research, this sure sounds like a faulty pressure switch not sensing high water level in the tub. Any other thoughts?

I purchased a Whirlpool Duet washer in Jan. 2011 and there has been 3 problems. There has been water leaking, loud/banging noises during the spin cycle, and torn clothing. Technicians have visited 4 times in 7 months. At this point, I forsee more problems in the future. I spoke to a supervisor at Whirlpool and I asked if the washer could be exchanged. I was told, If it is repairable then we will continue to repair it. I was also told that I could purchase an additional 1 or 2 year warranty. A comment like that makes me believe that the company foresees problems in the future as well. A company like Whirlpool should realize that customers should not have to spend time leaving work early or taking off to meet with a technician about an appliance so often or at all! I have owned a washer in the past but it was left when we sold the home and I never experienced any problems!

Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio 4 years ago. It worked fine until last October when I had to call a Repair Service as all the Digital Controls would not work. It was the Digital Board had to be replaced at a cost of $ 315.00. That was October 2016 and in October of this year 2017 it started doing the same thing again. I call the Repair Service and they told me not to waste any more money on this machine as it is a piece of junk. I guess he was right as when I read all the bad reviews it got today, I realize I will be better off to buy another machine. It will not be a Whirlpool product. I purchased a Sears Kenmore Washer & Dryer back in 1995 and the washer lasted 20 years and I still have the dryer. This is what you refer to as a good product.

With the many selection to dry your clothes accordingly to your load, 9 times out of 10 all clothes are dry. Ive used every cycle there is too often so that I could get a better trusted value. Also it removes more lint than any other brand that I could think of.

We have purchased 4 refrigerators in the past 20 years. The first three were not Whirlpool and were a constant issue for us. Once we purchased the Whirlpool, we no longer had issues. We have the side by side with a freezer at the bottom. This model has performed exceptionally well for us and hasnt presented any issues for us. I would highly recommend it to family and friends, thus the rating of a five.

Both glass doors have a streak between the glass and you cannot get to it to clean. It looks like you havent cleaned the glass. I bought this 2 years ago. I am worried that the glass may break and heat escaping from the oven.

We bought this double oven range and then find that two element cooktop sometime work and sometime do not even the indicator light is on. Please tell me how to fix it. It cause me headache.

In the first year of my Whirlpool Washing Machine, the motor quit working entirely. Fortunately, the machine was under a 1-year warranty and the motor was replaced by a Whirlpool service technician. My big complaint with this washing machine is this: Even though you select hot water for the wash cycle, the machine has sensors in it that only allow the water to get lukewarm. If it senses the water getting too hot, it adds cold water to bring the wash temperature back down to 78 degrees F. Next time I will do my research and buy a machine that actually allows one to use hot water.

In 2008, we purchased a Whirlpool Gas Water Heater from Lowes. Three years later the tank started leaking (this water heater had a 6-year warranty). Per Whirlpools instructions we were to return this one to Lowes for a refund (in hindsight we should have taken the money & went elsewhere to purchase a better brand!). As our plumber was removing the leaking heater we went to Lowes to purchase a new Whirlpool Water Heater upgrading to one with a 12-year warranty hoping that this one would last, it was advertised as the BEST one Lowes sells! After our plumber swapped out the heaters we returned the leaking water heater for our refund (remember this one had a 6-year warranty & only lasted 3 years).This past June (2015) our water heater stopped working, turns out the thermocouple went out which shuts the gas valve off. Called 5 plumbing companies in the Metro Phoenix area, not a single one would work on it! We researched the repair, called Whirlpool & was told that this water heater was out of warranty. Wait a minute! This one has a 12-year warranty & it is only 4 years old! Whirlpool told me that it is a replacement water heater so the warranty for this water heater is only 6 years (from the 2008 date of the purchase of the first water heater). It didnt matter that the replacement water heater was a different model & was more expensive than what was refunded to us. We replaced the thermocouple ourselves & got it going again. Last week it started leaking, called Whirlpool again got the runaround again, called a plumber who replaced it with a new Ruud for $1000.00 (Water heater + Labor).We went back to Lowes to try to get their help resolving this, the store manager said this was a Whirlpool warranty issue. We ended up taking the junk Whirlpool water heater to a recycling facility and getting $2.50 for it. Bottom LINE!! READ THE REVIEWS, THEY ARE TRUE!!! There was a class action lawsuit with a settlement of which I never received a notice for, I read about it online this summer, but it was too late to opt in. Dont waste your money on Whirlpool water heaters, no one will repair them, Lowes wont stand behind the products on their shelves, they get your money & hide behind the manufacturer & Whirlpool has very nice script to get you off of phone! Whirlpool used to be a trusted brand (do your research, I think they are the manufacturer for certain store brands! ). Our new Ruud water heater has a faster recovery than either of the Whirlpools that weve had; the drain valve is brass, not plastic like the whirlpool, it is overall a much higher quality.

We have several Whirlpool products in our home currently and have been very satisfied with their performances. We have their fridge, stove/oven, microwave and dishwasher, all of various ages. We purchased them from a local big box building supply company and installed them our self. The installation directions are clear and simply for the average D-I-Yer. We would recommend Whirlpool to everyone shopping for these home appliances.

I love my dishwasher, have had no problems and it does a great job. Stainless steel interior is a plus. Give it a try, you will be satisfied with the performance.

I had purchased this washer from Lowes last September and had problems almost immediately. First of all the lid would lock and hold my clothes hostage till it decided to reopen which could be days. Finally it never opened again. Called customer service and sent someone out. It took almost a month to get it back to running. 1 week for him to show up then 2 more weeks for the part to come in 1 more week for him to grace me with his presence again. Had to call again because the mother board then went. Another month. Now just out of warranty I go to wash and its dead. No lights on nothing. This machine is the biggest pile of garbage and waste of money I ever spent. Barely made it 1 year.

Purchased washer and dryer in 2013. After several months I noticed small holes in my clothing. I called for service since my machines were still under warranty. There was nothing the repair service could do except make suggestions on water amount and settings. Which I tried with no improvement. I also contacted Whirlpool and was told I could call for service for several weeks since it was still under warranty. I asked why call for service when I was told it could not be fixed. I did have it serviced again and told it was a problem with the design. Numerous items of clothing were ruined which I showed the technician. He gave me a phone number to contact Whirlpool. They in turn said there was nothing they could do for me. I usually place items in laundry bags for delicate fabrics but for obvious reasons not all items fit in a bag. I have never had such terrible service nor experienced an appliance that operates so poorly. I am surprised there are not more complaints with this problem. Purchased from ABT because of their reputation for customer service.

I myself cannot believe this. We remodeled kitchen in 1992. Gradually we had to replace the appliances except Whirlpool dishwasher. It still works okay. Only sometimes the detergent tablet does not dissolve. Anyway after 21 years, we are replacing it with another WP dishwasher.

I will never buy another Whirlpool again or recommend them to anyone, and discourage anyone from buying one. I bought a Cabrio washing machine just over 2 years ago and yesterday I received an F51 error code. The manual says that this code requires a technician to come a check for repairs. Well, before I do anything I google the problem, and lo and behold there are thousands of complaints about this issue with the Cabrio models. Some saying that what needed to be replaced were a control board ($280) and a rotor (unknown amount), not including the price of labor. Some said that Whirlpool knows about this problem and they covered the parts and repair. This didnt get my hopes up, but I called customer service and of course they said that there were no reported issues with the model and that what I found on the internet was probably an older model. Of course! The lady on the phone told me that they would not cover the costs and it would be anywhere from $300 to $500 depending on the route I wanted to take. That is a 1/3 to 1/2 the price I paid for the machine. This is ridiculous! I am tempted to just get rid of the washer and go with a better company that actually cares about their customers. This error code was definitely something they know is a big deal if there was nothing I could do about it other than call a technician. I paid almost $1000 for a machine that has barely lasted 2 years before I have to pay money to have it fixed. Not a company I would ever purchase anything from again!

I purchased their washer, dryer, refrigerator, freezer, oven, and dishwasher. All were brand new when my home was built in 2006. Whirpool is the absolute worst home appliance company in both customer service and product. I would save my money and purchase any product other than a Whirlpool or Maytag. All of my appliances are a little over 5 years old and all have had multiple problems. Corporate takes the attitude of oh well, pay for the multiple repairs or buy new after 5 years or less. Ive never heard of disposable appliances, but Whirlpool has a full line of them! I would rate them less than 1 and just plain **!

I have had the same lid problem with our washer. New in 2010. The lid just broke in the same place for the 3rd time! Called Whirlpool customer service. Yes they can find my account. No, they dont have a record of this happening to this washer before. Even though I called them and got the lids through them two other times!!! But they will be happy to send me a new lid for $260!!! Also love the fact that they dont acknowledge the lid is a problem. Time to find a new washer that isnt Whirlpool!!

The unit I live in is at **. They purchased it in Nov 2011. The washing machine worked for 2 months. Now, it has to be dismantled at my home and take a day off. I would like a replacement. The Dutchgate is still being developed. They purchased at least 60 at this point, there is no reason not to give me a new one instead of having two techs dismantle the machine in my new home for 4 hours and a day off of work. Whirlpool refrigerator are garbage, and their customer service is worse. I will never buy their products again. My refrigerator never worked correctly and destroy all of my food soon after it being delivered.

Purchased a $900 refrig, it broke 1yr & 1 week later. I fought to have this fixed since its out of the warranty period. After having to take off time of work for repair people to come. The repair guy made a disaster. Finally after much arguing I received a new refrig, same model. Well that last about a year & 1 1/2 then it started leaking underneath. I CANT use the icemaker or the water feature which I paid extra to have. What a piece of Junk. The people at Whirlpool will just say, Did you purchase a warranty? YOU SHOULDNT HAVE TO HAVE IT FIX WHEN ITS ONLY 2 YRS OLD!!!!!! They are so greedy, they make junk so that you spend more money on repairs or extended warranties. I am very upset. I bought a Whirlpool range (model YGFE461LVS) 2 and a half years ago and today when I tried to bake a cake, the oven overheated (as if I had put it on broil) and although the display box showed that it had turned itself off, the oven kept heating and getting hotter and hotter, I had to unplug it. I feel like I have bought disposable appliances! How could I have such serious problems after only 2 years? To top it all off, this past week my fridge (also a whirlpool, model WRT779RFYM10) also started acting up. Water is leaking all over inside the fridge and the freezer. I have to clean it up everyday.

Bought this front loader washer. It is unbelievable this thing will not wash a load properly. It refuses to spin at high speed because it is constantly out of balance even if you only have one or two garments and it keeps saying add more garments. As you keep adding garment its even worse literally. If you have anything that is heavy in this like a towel or a pair of pants or a hoodie or something like that for sure youre going to have to wash one thing at a time. I will never buy another one. I wish somebody would sue the living crap out of him for this piece of junk. I want my money back...

I have owned this Whirlpool Cabrio machine and dryer for almost 5 years. It has been a nightmare. I am forever getting it fix. Now its the notorious LD light, not draining, and it has actually drained, and the company I bought it from does not repair them due to so many problems. Got a plumber to look at it and got it to work.. This is after the company came, charged me 130.00 to tell me they dont repair it. I bought this machine because it was large and I have a big family, energy saver (no, it did not save as much as they claimed) and uses less water. The dryer is wonderful. But the 1900.00 I paid for them was not worth the price. I now have to go up and down my cellar stairs 6 times per wash to stop it, shake the hose, and restart it. A load of laundry takes close to 3 hours due to starting it over. I am gonna buy a Maytag which I use to have and take this to the junkyard. Thanks a ton, Whirlpool and I read all comments and they are ALL true.

In September 2011, we purchased a Cabrio Washer and Dryer. Both appliances are extremely inferior. My first complaint to Whirlpool was in reference to the dryer. It kept overheating to the point that you couldnt even touch the clothes. In doing research I found this was a common problem and in some cases, even caused fires. After finding this out and contacting Whirlpool to complain and see if there were any recalls, they indicated they knew nothing about the problem and recalls would have to come from their legal department. I asked to speak with someone in that department and was told that was not possible. We threw the machine away and purchased a new no frills dryer. Now the washer has totally died. It would make noises, lockup, not spin, not clean, etc. Basically all the complaints other consumers have listed. It is now on the curb and I will again have a purchase a new washer. The Whirlpool refrigerator I bought at the same time is a whole other story. Please do not buy Whirlpool. When contacted they show no empathy or concern about the inferiority of their products. There are only the 2 of us now and we do laundry one time a week. It amazes me how much money I am out between the initial purchases, repairs, and replacements. My daughter has also had the bad luck of purchasing Whirlpool appliances and is now experiencing the same problems. Get the word out to all of your friends to NEVER purchase Whirlpool. They are apparently only concerned with their profits and not making good products or caring about their consumers problems. I made a very expensive mistake and will never purchase their products again. I have made them aware that I would be placing my review on your website along with the other 1,690 complaints. I have all my documentation re purchases, repairs, replacements and emails sent to Whirlpool. Unfortunately I cannot document all the calls made to this company. So, I have a house full of relatives from out of town staying over and as luck would have it, my Whirlpool water heater (model # BFG1F4033T3NOV) which I had installed 15 months ago, decided to stop working. The pilot light went out and would not stay lit no matter how long I held the red restart button. I called Whirlpool customer service and was informed straight away that their computer system was down and they wouldnt be able to order parts if I needed them (great start right?). I explained to the woman on the phone what my issue was and also told her that after searching online, Ive found that this is a common failure with these hot water heaters that Lowes sells where the thermal couple is defective and needs to be replaced. She began to inform me that before any parts was ordered (which she couldnt do because the computers were down), I would have to clean the vent openings on the bottom of the HW heater. No big deal. Then, Id have to have my gas line pressure verified by my gas company (what?). If both were found to be fine, Id have to confirm that my flue is at least three feet above my roof line before they would send me parts to repair my unit. This is about where I lost my mind.I run the RMA/Customer service department in my company and if anyone has issues with our products, we ship first and ask questions later. How can a company with known defective products give their customers the runaround and basically tell them that they are screwed until they can take off time from work for a gas co. to come to their home and will also have to have flue replaced before theyll warranty their product?! Whirlpool should be ashamed of themselves and Lowes should distance themselves from such a crappy company with substandard products and shoddy warranty practices. Ill never buy another Whirlpool product as long as I live and will warn anyone away from this company.

Got a Whirlpool hot water heater 5 years ago has 9 year warranty. The threads on the nipple are rusted out and it’s leaking. It has rusted out so badly that it’s leaking. They are refusing to replace it saying it’s a plumbing issue even though the nipples that they installed are what’s leaking.

We purchased a side by side Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer in June 2011 and have had nothing but problems with this piece of crap appliance. Ice maker has been repaired 3 times, water line clogged twice because of freezing and thawing. Now the machine only cools both sides to 45 degrees F. I am having a repair person come out on Monday to tell me what is wrong but I am so upset with the poor workmanship of this product I dont want to put another dime into the repair. We paid $1100 on this and have paid at least $600 in repairs over the past 4 years!! I agree with all of the other comments on the poor manufacturing choices. We had a GE prior to this and it lasted 10 years but we had the same issues. Repairing it every few years. I am not sure what brand to purchase next. If anyone has a suggestion I would be open to it.

Whirlpool Gold appliances are junk!!! Our dishwasher just stopped working one day. It was about 2 years old. We tried all the troubleshooting ideas we found on the internet. Nothing worked. I had a 13 Year old working dishwasher when I bought this one. Sure wish I had left well enough alone. I think there should be a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool. I had also purchased a new electric range... It is constantly giving me an error message when I try to use the oven. We have to flip the breaker and that sometimes helps. I bought 4 of the Gold appliances... I’m holding my breath on the other 2. I thought I had done a good job researching before I bought. I remodeled my kitchen. It turns out that a company that I believed was reputable and worthy of my business are not.

They contacted me to replace the washer. And the uninstall/install will be at my own cost. Its more generous than I expected. I thought they would send another technician and make everything go back and forth. This solution does save my time. I hope the new machine wont have all the series of issues.

We acquired the Cabrio Six Sense washing machine through the purchase of our new home, and quickly realized why it was left behind. This thing is pretty and has lots of bells and whistles, but that is where it ends. I am very surprised to find out that Whirlpool put such a piece of junk out for purchase. I have owned Whirlpool products in the past and had great performance and quality. We will be pulling this hunk of junk from our laundry room and installing the GE washer that we already owned immediately. Anyone want a free washer?

We purchased a top loader Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Washer and within a few short months noticed a mildew-like smell emanating from it. This is DESPITE the fact that we leave the top up the entire time that the machine is not in use, we use hydrogen peroxide and ammonia in our loads of laundry in order to kill any mold present and my husband painstakingly hand dries the interior of the drum after each load of laundry. He also puts hydrogen peroxide in the fabric softener dispenser in an effort to kill the mold/mildew. None of this has helped to mitigate the ongoing mildew/mold odor. We have run across other online reviews which suggest that the Cabrio does not fully drain the water in the washer leading to the potential for the development of mold and mildew. This is very upsetting as we paid a lot of money for the Cabrio and had high hopes for it.

We purchased our Whirlpool Front Loading HE Washing Machine a year and ten months ago from Future Shop, and now it has failed. After paying about $100 for a service call, we were told we need to order a motor control board that will cost an additional $397 plus tax, plus installation. Because it is off warranty, this means my $1030 washing machine that is less than two years old will cost me about $680 to repair! My parents old top loading washing machine still works after 30 years. And now I notice that so many other people have had the exact same problem. Why hasnt Whirlpool fixed this issue? This is criminal! What on earth is going on here? I was under the impression that Whirlpool was a top-notch brand.

We purchased a Whirlpool Estate Range in 2008, with an extended warranty. We have only moved this range out 2 times since it was installed and the last time was over 2 years ago. This range worked beautifully, no issues whatsoever. Until... tonight, the oven & one burner were being used when suddenly the range started arcing, which blew a hole through the back panel on the stove where the cord hooks to it. It continued to arc and quickly fill the kitchen with black smoke until we could reach the breaker box. The Whirlpool repairman wants to charge $88 dollars just to tell us WHY it happened. After 2 years of sitting in the same spot, why? I dont want the stove repaired, I want it out of my house! I will not take the chance that this will happen again when we are not home. When asked if this was an issue with their product, the repairman answered, I have never heard of anything like this before. After reading these reviews: Such a Liar! I wouldnt believe anything Whirlpool, or their representatives told me about their products now. I just want their crap out of my house and I will never spend another one of my hard-earned dollars with them again. Too many other choices out there. I just want other buyers to Beware of Whirlpool.

I purchased a Whirlpool water heater and after working fine for about 2 1/2 years, I began having problems with it staying lit. I dealt with troubleshooting beginning in January of 2012 and finally in March of 2012, I was sent some replacement parts. The unit worked fine through the summer and once the weather started getting cold in October of 2012, I began to have problems with the unit again. After a couple of months complaining and threatening to file a BBB complaint, I was sent all of the parts left to change on the water heater. And I was told after the parts were changed if the unit still did not work, that it was probably a venting issue and that I would be responsible for that issue and the unit was not defective. I received the parts on 12/04/12 and they were changed out the same day. Now the unit will light when I hold down the button to light it but once I let go, the pilot light goes out. At least before changing out the parts, the unit was able to be turned on and sometimes it would work and other times it didnt, but now it will not light at all. This is very frustrating because the unit is under warranty and Whirlpool has for an entire year fought me tooth and nail just to send me the parts for the unit, only for the unit to still not work. I have a family and it is discouraging to not know when you are going to have hot water, having to constantly fix the unit or to call Whirlpool to troubleshoot and finally for the unit to still not work after replacing the parts. It looks like I will not have any hot water at all now.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio with the touch panel and top loader. The absolute worst. The machine leaves white marks all over dark clothes even when the extra rinse feature is used. Ive tried multiple detergents, skipping fabric softener completely, using very little detergent, and even tried different water temperatures. Nothing works. And should one have to go through such extremes to not have white streaks left on dark clothes? Absolutely not especially for the money spent.The machine wrinkles clothes like I have never see before. The dryer usually gets them out but not always. They are mangled after washing. Using the first or second spin speed helps reduce some but they are wetter going into the dryer that way. If I wash bed clothes, the tight fitting sheet that fits snugly around the mattress must be washed alone. If not, all the other items end up encased in it as if youve intentionally packed it that way to carry everything around. This leaves everything absolutely soaked. I have also had shirts come out with dry spots on them. How does a piece of clothing come out of a washer with more than one dry spot on it? And no I did not over pack the machine.I have had no problems with the dryer. It does its job so no complaints on that. I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio to my worst enemy. Complete waste of time, money, and water!!! Very disappointed and will never buy from this company again and will prevent anyone else from doing so the rest of my life. Did the company do zero testing on this machine before selling it? Because I see a lot of repetitive reviews. Or the company was well aware and did not care and just wanted to make money? Either way is unacceptable. Garbage!!!

I have had our new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer for about a year. I absolutely hate it. I along with all the other people that is complaining about their Cabrio. I have found it to stain my clothes, not get them clean... Sometimes not even get part of them wet. I wash every load now no matter how small on the deep water option. I still have to add about 3 to 6 gals of water after it fills to try to help them get as clean as I possible can. I have stopped using fabric softener because I believe that is what may be leaving the stains on the clothes because it doesnt dilute it. Also you cant soak clothes in the washer long enough. I know it offers a presoak but when the clothes are not getting wet... That is not soaking. I tried to fill it up and raise the lid so it wouldnt wash until I was ready for it to wash but it automatically emptied the tub after a short time.It is funny watching the clothes when washing... Even I could tell they were not going to be washed well. I thought who in the world developed this washer. Certainly no one that had ever really considered what women need to wash clothes on a daily basis. I would sell it but I dont think anyone would buy it. If there is a class action suit I would consider joining in. Whirlpool could not have spent much effort in checking this washer out. A lot of money down the drain. I did not buy the dryer because of the lint vent being on top of it. What a mess those make when you have to empty it. So I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL. Now that is a wonderful dryer! As one homemaker to another I suggest you check it out. Never had one I liked more.

Bought a Whirlpool fridge in a package from Home Depot three years ago. The fridge has already stopped working. It started having issues about 1 1/2 years in to owning the fridge and finally died 2 weeks ago.

Washer Whirlpool Cabrio - Needless to say now, spin rinse not working, dark spots in clothes, sound like a jet leaving the room and earthquake at maximum potential when working, all previous reviews more than summarize my problem with the washer. How can we do to take a class action against Whirlpool for the defective Cabrio wash and dryer they are selling. If anybody knows, please guide me the right way to start it.

The repair technician just left telling us that our Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine is fine. It is a little over a year old, makes LOUD noises as it runs, doesnt get the clothes clean and often doesnt even get them wet. The clothing sits above the water and comes out with pet hair, soap and dry spots. We use it the way the manual directs but it seems to be a totally defective machine. We sure wouldnt sell it to anyone nor give it away to some poor unsuspecting soul. Guess it needs to go to the dump. Shame on you Whirlpool for taking advantage of so many of us.

I purchased Whirlpool washer in Dec.2017 and used it in winter months only (Nov to March). It kept leaking and had to get appliance repair service for $50 and was told that machine is defective and whirlpool should repair it or replace it. I phoned whirlpool and they told me I have to use their appliance repair shop to evaluate the machine for cost of $130. The inlet valve was leaking and needed replacement for a cost of $253.55 and whirlpool shirked all and any responsibility. Dont buy whirlpool as it is not a good product and service is poor.

On the 27th March 2012 I bought a new Whirlpool 6th Sense washing machine S/N 411048002028 AWOE 9210 - 30 9Kg for E499.00. I brought it home and plumbed it adding in a lime filter on the water line to protect it from limescale. On the 14th September 2016 a service technician replaced the entire drum as the old one made so much noise and the ball bearings are part of the drum. On the 7th June 2013 a technician replaced the drive belt claiming that it moved if a light load was put into the machine. On the same day I added an extension of 3 years Guarantee at Euro 89.00. On the 14th October 2013 a technician examined the machine for a water leak but found nothing and charged me for the call. Out E25.00. I lived with the noise of the spin cycle ever since. The noise got steadily worse until 27th September 2016 when the machine finally packed in. I stripped the machine down to find the ball bearings on the drum completely rusted over so the drum was rotating without the cushioning. On the same day I bought a Bosch machine and decided to forget about the extra guarantee as the offending parts had already been replaced once and did not even last 4 years. I will bring it to the recycling yard later today as that is all it is good for. It was bought in Media World, Orio Center, Bergamo. It was paid for by Gianni ** who is my father-in-law and had a loyalty card for the shop.

Surprised my daughter with a Whirlpool washer and dryer computerized, never again you have to stand at the washer half the time resetting it over and over. It takes all day to wash. Went to Lowes. They said yes you have to start it three times. What a pain. Never will buy one again.

My new Whirlpool Stove, has two grill like tops, heavy duty and awesome looking. It has a special burner to keep food warm, a stainless steel front and bottom drawer for broiler storage. Broiler is also on top in oven, broiler flame.

We bought the dishwasher on 12/28/11. It broke 4 weeks later. I had the company come out to fix it. 6 months later, it broke again, needed a whole new control board. 3 months later, it broke again, they came out and did some type of repair. 7 months later, it broke again and it needed a whole new control board. They wanted to charge us $250.00 for this, but after some major arguing in regards to how New this was and the warranty now out, they waived the fee. 3 weeks later, the same problem as before! I am so angry about this lemon of a dishwasher! They are coming out again today! I am quite sure they will need to replace the control board again! I will never buy another Whirlpool product.

Whirlpool Hot Water Tank Thermocouple - This is the third thermocouple we have had to replace on this hot water tank in the last six years. Granted the part isnt that expensive, but the service call and replacement have cost us dearly. This is faulty tank and Whirlpool needs to recall this tank and replace them with new tanks. The price of this original tank and replacing this thermocouple three times has cost us over $800.00 total. I am not sure angry is the right word to describe our dissatisfaction with Whirlpool.

Dont even consider a Cabrio top loading washer. Wastes your time, money and insults your intelligence. I never use the deep water cycle but boy the machine does! Ive had loads that have taken hours to finish on the quick setting! Thanks Whirlpool.

Cabrio washer and dryer are not energy saver by any means! Have had the pair for almost 1 year and have spent at least 3 years of washing and drying time with these. What use to take 30 minutes to wash now takes at least 48 or more and the dryer has to be run twice on lots of loads to dry! The other thing is, with no water in the tub it really does not have a soak cycle to get really dirty stuff clean, so you wash things 2 or 3 times! Now I know why I see these washers and dryers like new in the used stores for $200 to $300. Thanks for the junk Whirlpool.

Purchased a G16SDRXX07 three door Whirlpool refrigerator two years ago. Ever since new, when there is a very short power glitch the refrigerator shuts down and will not re-start without manual intervention. This happened at two months. Whirlpool replaced the boards. Still does it. Also when this happens the water dispenser will no longer dispense continuous water. It stops after three ounces. Now they want to charge me for a service call and parts to correct a problem that is obviously built into the unit. There should be a recall on this. Whirlpool should correct the problem free of charge as it is obviously an electronic design issue. Upgrade the necessary control board and replace it. If not, after being a loyal Whirlpool customer for 42 years, we will replace this unit with a different brand that Whirlpool does not build.

I had the Whirlpool side by side GSC25C4EYW00 less than a year. The vegetable bin - 2nd from the bottom - front panel broke off. No wonder, there are 2 tabs holding it to the rest of the bin. Its cheap, brittle plastic. Come on, Whirlpool, you have to do better. What a disappointment. Dont buy one.

1 year ago I purchased the top of the line large capacity tub cabrio washer and dryer. I dont understand why they sell a large capacity when you dont get enough water to get a handful of stuff clean. If they offered a trade in allowance for a standard agitator washer I would be first in line. Clothes dont look clean at all. Save your money folks not worth it.

I purchased this rather expensive gas range and use the oven very little. We are empty nesters that eat out every day. Went to use oven and it had error code for cooling fan. Called repairman who replaced sensor and oven worked (literally used two times in 4 months). Now error code again. When I checked the code I realized this is a problem with these stoves. Whirlpool why no recall or free fix?

After 50+ years of doing laundry, I had to purchase my 3rd washer. I bought the new top loader without an agitator. I very quickly learned that it has no lint filter. My first load was towels and mats. The lint clogged up my tub and drain pouring water all over the floor. Since then it has ruined many of my clothes which are mostly sweaters and sweater-knits. Without a lint filter, it deposits the lint right back on the clothes where it stays forever unless I shave or pick it off, even though Ive turned them inside-out. (Time consuming waste!) Even my socks have little balls of lint. It seems the only safe fabrics are new, smooth woven cottons, cotton-blends and slippery nylon providing there is no lace or brushed elastic.Now to the no fabric-softener dispenser... The Downy ball simply doesnt work, and theres no other way to add it. Waiting to use dryer sheets is too late; the damage is done. My clothes are dingy. In my 50+ years of ownership, I have never had to purchase a separate product to wash my washer so that it doesnt stink... and it does. Why does it lock after starting? If I could afford to replace it, I would... but I cant.

In addition to my refrigerator dying after 3 years, my microwave died after 4.
