I have always had Whirlpool Everything - not anymore!!!! I purchased a water saver washer that I am very unhappy with - it does not get the clothes clean. I have to put it on an extra rinse (water saver?) to get the soap out. I use the Tide for HE washers. I cannot wash a large load in it - directions say I can. Anything too heavy or bulky will not spin out well. Will bounce all over the place. From now on I will switch to another brand. They push so hard to buy a warranty because they know you will have trouble! Should have read the reviews!!

The damper switch at the top of my water heater, one I purchased at Lowes stopped working. I talked to someone at the local store, and I was told I had to contain the manufacturer. I called the number on the front of my unit. The tech talked my husband through the restart process...not once, but on two separate occasions. We were told that because it was intermittent, something they decided Over the Phone, they could do nothing. They would neither send a replacement part nor a technician. By the time we had to call back two days later, restart was impossible. JUST to get the part, a specialty piece, we now have to pay for expedited shipping! And either install ourselves, or wait 5 days After Arrival (!!), to get the stupid thing fixed! If they had sent the part out originally when we asked, we wouldnt have to wait for hot water or pay anything for a warrantied piece! Its a racket. Stay away!!!

Whirlpool Gold appliances are junk!!! Our dishwasher just stopped working one day. It was about 2 years old. We tried all the troubleshooting ideas we found on the internet. Nothing worked. I had a 13 Year old working dishwasher when I bought this one. Sure wish I had left well enough alone. I think there should be a class action lawsuit against Whirlpool. I had also purchased a new electric range... It is constantly giving me an error message when I try to use the oven. We have to flip the breaker and that sometimes helps. I bought 4 of the Gold appliances... I’m holding my breath on the other 2. I thought I had done a good job researching before I bought. I remodeled my kitchen. It turns out that a company that I believed was reputable and worthy of my business are not.

Our recently purchased stove top is an average appliance. The surface is easily scratched just from paper towels when cleaning. Today for no apparent reason the igniters all started firing and continued for a good hour....I would definitely investigate other brands before purchasing again.

I purchased a dishwasher from Menards. It was a top of the line Whirlpool Dishwasher. We ordered new cabinets for a kitchen upgrade and when the cabinets arrived they were damaged during Thanksgiving holiday. We purchased the dishwasher and it sat in our garage until the second set of cabinets arrived in mid January.Once the GC installed the new cabinets we noticed a small dent in the front of the stainless steel dishwasher. I notified Whirlpool and they took my model and serial number. The supervisor April said there is nothing that I can do. You passed the 30 day cosmetic warranty. I explained the issue to her and she didnt seem to care.The dishwasher sat in the garage for 7-8 weeks. This is not the consumers fault. This company could of sent a service mechanic out and replaced the front panel. But she chose to ready some meaningless policy to me. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again, and I will tell everyone about the poor and unprofessional service that Whirlpool offers.

Ive spent more repairing this washer than what I paid for it new!!! Its really ridiculous that Whirlpool isnt more responsible for their equipment that doesnt stand up to their name! Ive replaced more things than I want to type but just to start the computer board, pump, bearings just to name a few. Each time I had my repairman out it was a minimum of $300 to repair. Ive had my repairman out 5 times to repair things. Thinking each time its cheaper to fix it than buy another which I surely didnt think I would be repairing it several time! At this point Im just sick to death that a washer that is for a home of myself and my daughter has broken down so much. I cant imagine what a family would go through. Even after all the repairs it still isnt right but Im done sinking money into this sinking ship of a washer! Its loud constantly stops due to un level so I have to move the clothes around usually having to repeat this several times before I can get the load to finish!!! Then they come out wrinkled more than they went in and I have to iron clothes. A person should NOT need to iron! May as well wash them in the river on a rock. It would be easier!!! SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

I have been using this brand for many years. My first washer lasted for 30 years..so I will stick with what I know is reliable. It is a great machine. Very simple. I dont need anything fancy. 3 different cycles to choose from.

Bought side by side in 2010 and after the first 3 mth the ice maker jammed up. Found out the dispenser door was not working right so it was change. But lo and behold the dame thing jammed up again within 3 weeks and the door is working. I will never buy WHIRLPOOL AGAIN. I hope they go out of Business. They are selling junk and they do not care. Made in American. Pack your bags Whirlpool. You are no longer needed.

There is a melted hole in my Whirlpool microwave. The model WMH53520CS is on the recall list for this but not my serial number. Other have posted this and theirs was not covered. This should never happen. I have never had a microwave do this. If I have to replace it I won’t buy Whirlpool ever again.

They are good washers but they are overpriced. They have way too many functions for doing laundry. I know everyone wants their washer to do it all but the machines just can’t. There is no washing machine in the world that can sense a stain and pinpoint it and remove it.

The oven works well. My complaint is that the glass door is very difficult to clean. Some kind of liquid got in between the panels and I cannot clean the glass without removing the oven door. Im afraid to remove the door as I may not be able to get it back on the oven. I have dirty glass I cant clean and that makes me unhappy. Otherwise the oven works just fine.

After careful research, I purchased a Whirlpool microwave 2 years ago. Model WMH2175XVT-2. It looks brand new. Three months after the extended warranty expired, my microwave wont heat anything. Ive tried all the suggested troubleshooting in the manual. When I called Whirlpool (the number right inside the microwave door) I get a recording that asks me if it has been more than a year since my purchase. I can only say yes because even the extended warranty with Sears had expired by three months. Then Im directed by the auto-operator to schedule a repair service. Im fuming and seeing dollar signs and no human to talk to, so I hung up. I googled my problem and was asked to pay $50 by an online repairman, so I clicked out of that window not wanting to sink more money into a bad purchase. Then I found a website from a consumer saying the Whirlpool Company admitted it was a bad magnetron with this model and that they have had a lot of problems. They should have recalled this microwave model or offered to repair or replace it for free. I have just decided that I will no longer purchase Whirlpool products. As soon as my oven and dishwasher die I think Im going back to Kenmore products.

I bought a Whirlpool Gold Series Microwave, model # WMH76718AW, on 2/19/13. It stopped working 1/25/15. It doesnt heat food anymore. I also have a whirlpool dishwasher that doesnt clean dishes. Whirlpool products are junk. Whirlpool customer service is awful. The cost of fixing this lemon and then buying an extended warranty for the repair (which they recommend) will make this a $1000 piece of garbage. They dont stand behind their defective products. Ill never buy another one again.

This complaint refers to model number ET8MHKXMB. It was purchased in November of 2008 and the fan had to be replaced on May 29, 2012. The cost of this repair was $189.79. This is a terrible thing to have happened. Obviously, the fan was made cheaply. We are very dissatisfied and will not purchase another Whirlpool refrigerator ever!

I absolutely HATE this washer! These pics are of jeans AFTER they came out of washer. Its energy efficient for sure...doesnt use enough water to fully wet the jeans. And, yes, I know how to choose the correct settings. See how wrinkled the jeans are? That is what all clothes look like after being washed in this washer. Dryer isnt any better. It does dry them, but they are so wrinkled they look like they were just pulled out of dirty clothes hamper. I was a Whirlpool fan up until this set. I realized before my 30 days were up that they werent cleaning my clothes well. I went back to Lowes & set up a date & time for them to be picked up. Salesman convinced me that I just wasnt use to this new type of Whirlpool washer/dryer. Plus he insinuated I was being a problem customer who was lying about the poor performance of my set. He said they had sold a lot of these W/D and NEVER had a complaint. Dummy like I cancelled the pick up. I would not take another set of these if they were given to me. If I could afford it I would give away this set & buy something else. Anyone still interested in Whirlpool Cabrio W/D after reading my review? If so, Ive got a set I will sale you for what I owe.

This microwave has crack everywhere and its barely 3 months old. When I want to use it, it makes this weird noise and then it stops. I have not talked to Whirlpool yet, but Ill see what theyll say. My recommendation right now for all those individuals trying to purchase a microwave, dont even look at Whirlpool brand, they just ***.

We had refrigerator 2 years and compressor went out. Whirlpool would not repair. I will not buy Whirlpool again.

Whirlpool Gold Freestanding Accu bake Duo FIRE HAZZARD - We bought our house August 2013 and we were SO happy to see the stainless steel appliances and we thought Whirlpool was a good brand that our grandparents stood behind for years (they obviously havent bought from them in 50+ years... times must have changed for the worse). Anyway, I got all moved in and was fixing supper and noticed how REALLY dark and greasy the oven was. I could barely see inside because the coating of grime was so thick that it dimmed the light by being so thick over the glass bulb cover. I immediately thought Wow... the past homeowners were nasty and lazy because they have this nice self-cleaning oven and dont even bother to clean it. I noticed it smelled slightly like it had a gas leak somewhere when it was preheating but it cooked the supper okay that night.Because it was hotter than a jungle in NC in the summer heat of August, I decided to wait until winter to use the self-clean... thought it would warm the house as it got rid of the gunk, right? I kept using the dark coated oven about a total of 25 times and always noticed the faint gas smell at first when it would preheat. I thought maybe it was SO dirty that the oven seal wasnt working right and since it was now November, I figured I should just run the self clean cycle and maybe it would make it run properly as it was REALLY dirty and the igniter or something may actually be clogged. I figured it would probably stink a little at first when it started the cleaning cycle because of the excess build up but it needed cleaning so bad that I cleaned it... The smoke alarms started to go off, we just disconnected them for peace and quiet... Our throats and eyes were burning and it smelled more like plastic burning... FOR HOURS it was horrible! The walls and the Terracotta tile floor were flaming hot!!! The next morning the house actually smelled like it had caught on fire and it stayed that way for weeks!The oven was very clean inside after the cleaning BUT the oven is now totally useless! It will not stay lit. I have never been able to use it again as it will not come up to temperature... just clicks over and over and hisses trying to light. I tried again today and it started LOUDLY hissing like a big open gas pipe was on in there and I got scared and cut it off. THANK GOD it went off!I have been reading similar complaints about Whirlpool Gold ovens for a couple hours now and I am truly scared to use this oven now. After reading the comments of the hundreds of dollars it will take to get it to bake again and how most people STILL had the same reoccurring issues and NO help from Whirlpool... Well I decided to share my experience in hopes that if anyone else is reading this... and I am sorry to say... Well... you are not imagining the problem either. We never read these blogs like this BEFORE we buy or use our appliances, only AFTER something scares the crap out of you and you look for a recall. If I could afford to sue Whirlpool for a replacement then I would. I wish everyone could afford to sue Whirlpool for their unresolved issues that have cost them unnecessary expenses due to the customer loyalty we have had for Whirlpool as we used to be taught You get what you pay for and Do not go with an off brand because those companies go out of business when you need them to repair or service stuff. Never buy a Whirlpool water heater. Theyre junk and they dont honor warranties. NO wonder theres a lot of bad reviews. Im one of those suckers. You would think Whirlpool would do a better job. But the blessing in all this I wont have to deal with Whirlpool again. Including washer and dryer, ref, stove, dishwasher and etc.

After proudly bringing home a new Whirlpool gas hot water heater NU40T61-403 day 2 no hot water. Wait 10 min and reset. This became a 3 times a week habit and now it will not relight. The repairman they sent out wanted us to rebuild our house to conform to code. Our old heater worked fine in this location. After talking to their tech, they sent us new parts overnight. Still cannot get this thing to light. All we want is hot water!!! Calls to the tech line end one way, it has to be your fault. I worked for The Gas Company!

I bought a Whirlpool washer and dryer a little over a year now and the washer is not filling enough water for the cycle to wash properly. I have to fill the washer myself and this only started a couple of months ago. This happens even when I have a heavy supply of water.

I am having the very same problem with my french door stainless steel Whirlpool gold refrigerator. Water pooling in the bottom of freezer, freezing into a solid sheet and then leaking onto the floor. It is less than 2 years old. Apparently, this is a significant defect in this problem seeing how so many people are having the same problem with the same fridge. Has anyone reported to BBB? Im thinking class action lawsuit. Im getting ready to have to repair my kitchen floors as a result of this defect. I will be talking to my brother-in-law attorney about this and will post his response/recommendation. Whirlpool should stand behind their product and make this right.

I have the top load Whirlpool. Its very roomy for my covers, rugs & towels. It has a setting for me to just clean my washer or if I need to just rinse it. It has a cycle just for that. Or if I need a quick wash or a just cold water wash it has those cycle. When my cycles are done it makes a cute jingle sound to let me know its done.

On October 21st 2011, Michael sent their technician, Steve, to my residence to check my washing machine. I was in the house the whole duration of his visit. After testing he concluded that the control board of my machine is faulty. Although he brought with him his own control board but he never showed me my machine working when he installed his control board, even though I was in the house at the time. With my lack of knowledge at the time, I missed requesting that he show me the machine working with his control board. But he should have involved me in the diagnosis since I was just home and should have been his initiative. Anyway, Steve then said that the total cost of the control board plus service is $194.03 on top of the diagnosis fee of $81.19. I was taken aback with the cost since working used washing machine on Craigslist just cost $150. So I said I can only pay him for his diagnosis of $81.19 by personal check. He issued me an invoice with account number **. I also thought that I also could get a cheaper control board online which I did. Also, I know I have the right not to purchase control board from them as long as the diagnosis was accurate since I paid for it. So I ordered a control board from ApplianceZone.com and also chatted with a technician named Kelly. Based on the symptoms I related to her, Kelly confidently said that the issue is not with the control board but the Control panel is the one that is faulty. Kellys diagnosis was different from Steves but since Steve has personally checked my machine, I decided to purchase a control board. When the board arrived on Octpber 25th, I immediately installed it as its easy to install since I followed simple instructions how to install it myself. But when I installed the new control board it manifested the same issue as the original part.. So I called Steve over the phone and he said the new control board.I purchased also faulty and that I have to replace it which I did. Then the second new control board arrived on November 8th and when I installed it, exactly same issue again manifested. That was then I suspected probably Steve misdiagnosed my Washing Machine. So I tried calling Depew the same day but wasnt able to reach Steve. Instead another guy named Kenneth answered the phone. He said that Steve has the right diagnosis but I insisted that I recalled Steve never showed me the washing machine working with his control board installed so Im doubting he got the correct diagnosis. Since it wasnt helping me at all, I decided to visit personally their store on November 8,th 2011 at 5933 Burnet Rd Austin TX, to request an audience with their manager. Then I met the manager named Michael ** who I believe is also the owner of the company. After introducing myself and explained the issue and told him that I wasnt satisfied with the service rendered by Steve because with two new control boards why is my machine still not working so I believe Steve got an incorrect diagnosis. I was a dissatisfied customer and I was hoping they would find a way to help me since I already paid them $81.19 but to my surprise, this Michael ** was so rude, his response was We have done our job, you are on your own now. We dont need your business. Good Bye I said Is this how you treat your customers? he answered me This is how I treat you.. I felt discriminated and insulted by his unprofessionalism. I couldnt imagine an owner of a business treating a customer like that. Before I left, I told him that I will report him to Whirlpool since they referred Depew to me and I would also report to the Texas Attorney General. He just said Go ahead and do what you want to do. We have nothing to do with you; I couldnt believe we have a business owner like this here in Austin TX. I really appreciate you helping me with this issue with Depew Appliance especially with this issue with their manager Michael Depew. I also demand refund of $81.19 for the diagnosis as they dont deserve to be paid and also they should pay me the cost of the control board $85.13. Lastly, I like to request that whatever license this company is holding must be reviewed as his dealing with me as customer is nothing short of discriminatory.

Since there is only two people in this home, we decided to go for the smaller front-loading machine. This was purchased in 2012, still running. It does a clean wash, however common sense does remind people to not over-load a front load washer. If one follows directions, it gets the job done, and ones machine lasts longer without problems. Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator December 2011, it is now 3 yrs. old, keeps shutting itself off. There is nothing under the troubleshooting area of the instructions for this. I called Whirlpool, they said I have to pay a tech to come here and troubleshoot. The warranty is 1 years, so after paying over 1k for an appliance, that gets you 1 year! I try to support American made, but no more Whirlpools here! I have all Whirlpool appliances, but Im guessing they wont last either. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service.

Whirlpool Duet Sport W & D purchased from Costco in mid 2007 for $1600. Costco gives an additional one year warranty, totaling three years. Both have worked exceptionally, I must say -- clothes come much much cleaner, keep their color, and last much longer vs. top loaders (Im sure the water softener helps). Two separate techs just confirmed the circuit boards went on the washer ($450 with labor) to replace. Washer looks brand new, but now will be going to the curb.

We bought the Cabrio washer and dryer on June 2008, and it wasnt very long after that, that we had to have a repair done. Then, it started twisting the clothes and the sheets into a big knot. Two king size sheets and 2 pillow cases got so twisted that they are no bigger than a watermelon, and believe me, they are very hard to untangle when they are soaking wet. The machine in the drying cycle sounds like a commercial jet taking off. We can hardly talk above the roar of that thing. I hate it with a passion. Whirlpool used to be all we bought, but that is going to change.Linda

My $700 Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine just broke after only 16 months of having it. The error code that comes up is f 51. With some research, I found that these machines are notorious for breaking down just after warranty with an f 1 code for older machines and an f 51 code for newer machines. Whirlpool is well aware of the breakdowns and the defect inherent in these machines and still sells them with no warning or no recall to fix the problem. I contacted the company and they refused to fix it for free and I understand the fix will now cost me another $300 to $400! What a scam! I will never buy Whirlpool or any of their other products again!

Aqua clean does not work. I purchased this range this year not knowing aqua clean was different than a standard self cleaning. I had not use the range since its delivery in June until Thanksgiving. One meal in the oven and the turkey had created staining on the sides and the bottom. I have run the self clean cycle so far four times and scrubbed till I’m blue in the face. The greasy stuff does not lift off and the warranty voids if you use anything else. Have already contacted the dealer to see if I can return this!

I had the first microwave for 6 years. My husband messed it up so got a new one, same over the stove type. It has lots of programs. Its a rather large microwave, plus it has a steamer which cooks vegetables with steam while I am doing the rest of the meal and whats more important is its quiet. The site is fantastic not just in width but in depth. The best thing about this microwave too is that it has a frozen cycle which does not partially cook the food like most microwaves and the defrost is the same, it does not partially cook it actually defrosts completely without cooking it. This is by far the best microwave I have ever had, and I wouldnt want any other brand. It might cost a little more than the usual brands but its worth it. I also have a mini Whirlpool on my Countertop for my grandchild to use so he keeps away from stovetop at all times.

Bought expensive fridge 2009. Now (2015) random very loud rat-tat-tat sounds lasting 5-10 seconds. Very loud. Paid for repairman to evaluate. He said it was probably compressor spring and other springs would probably soon break and would shut down fridge. Said it is very expensive to repair and it would be best to dump the fridge and buy a new one. I called the 800 number located inside the fridge. Jacob at Whirlpool listened to my story and said, Yep, it sounds like the compressor spring and the other springs will likely break. He said he can make me a one-time offer of a full repair of the compressor for only $359.65. We pay Whirlpool and they will have a local guy here come and fix it. We paid by visa.And, via email we get a document that shows we just bought a service contract. This is a surprise to us as we were told were paying to have the compressor repaired. In a few days, a call comes from local repair shop. Guy says, he will come out and check out the noise and see if he can repair our unit. We tell him the noise is intermittent and we cant predict when the noise will occur. We also tell him Jacob from Whirlpool said it was the compressor and that we paid to have it repaired. He says it doesnt sound like it is the compressor and that he cant diagnose the problem if he cant hear the noise. We tell Maytag/Whirlpool via phone we are faxing formal request for refund of our $359.65. Lady from Whirlpool says we, should get a refund in 4-6 weeks. Well, we will see.We are very disappointed in the the short life of our very expensive fridge and we are disgusted with the false and misleading comments made by Jacob of Whirlpool. He told us we were paying for the repair of our compressor and instead we get a stupid service contract. We are in the process of buying a new fridge. And no... It will NOT be a Maytag/Whirlpool!

Does not clean clothes as well as I was told it would. Very dissatisfied with the price and performance and would not recommend this brand to family members as well as friends. With the way the current economy is, companies like Whirlpool should reduce their prices!

My very expensive Whirlpool refrigerator thats three and a half years old broke down before Thanksgiving 2020. I am not able to get parts until after May 18th 2021. After calling numerous times and spending lots of time on hold I was told February 11th by Whirlpool that they had the parts in stock and they gave me a price for each part. Then they connected me to the parts department where they told me they dont have two of the 4 parts that I need. The price that they gave me for the same parts with a lot higher than what they told me at whirlpool. Whirlpool customer service was terrible its as if they dont give a damn. They just dont care.I cant believe its going to be 7 to 8 months to get parts for a three and a half year old refrigerator. I have fallen down my basement steps where I have a small very very old refrigerator twice carrying food up and down. Spreading mustard and sour cream all over my carpet my stairs my walls. Not to mention the fact that I have bruises all over my body. If I were you I would not buy a whirlpool. Its going to cost over $600 for the parts replacements that is if I can ever get them. Im going to have to break down and buy another refrigerator. Remember Whirlpool customer service is terrible and you can just forget about getting the parts.

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer in May of 2009. I do laundry for only 3 adults, so I never run more than 3-4 loads a week. It constantly is off-balance when spinning and requires positioning the load again several times before it will continue its cycle. Now 5 to 8 minutes into it filling with water, it stops filling and beeps, and code F shows up on the screen. Also, during the spin cycles, it is very loud and fast. It sounds like it is about to take off anytime. I called customer service to no avail. They just wanted me to schedule a repairman to come out and fix it at my expense. Now, I know why they only give a one-year warranty - they know it will last one year but not much longer. Im from a generation of people that is used to appliances lasting 10 - 14 years and the company stood behind their products and didnt ask you to buy an expensive extended warranty for the 2nd year and so on. If inferior products were not manufactured, there would be no need for an extended warranty. Anyway, Im not going to put any money (I was quoted a $129 charge by Whirlpools service department just for the diagnosis of the problem which didnt include the labor or parts costs.) into a washer that will probably continue to have problems and become a money pit. Consequently, I will never buy nor recommend anyone buy Whirlpool appliances. It would get quite expensive buying a new washer every 3 years or buying the extended warranty plan. The matching dryer had no major problems, but a couple of years ago, I had to have the door changed from opening from right to left to opening from left to right because the door catch broke on the right side. Hopefully, nothing else will go wrong with it in the near future.

I purchased a Whirlpool Flame Lock gas water heater with a 12 year warranty from Lowes in November 2011. It lasted almost 6 years. Called Whirlpool Support and no one in my area is a certified repair facility. Closest one is 45 miles away, and he wont drive up to check out my water heater because Im too far away. Called someone in town. He came out, looked at it for 2 minutes, and said he never saw a water heater like this, but Sears may carry parts. Charged me $50 for service call. Sears couldnt find the model number in their parts catalogs. I dont have a manometer (What is it?) so I cant do diagnostic tests on it myself. Cant find out anything about them online except complaints from other steamed customers about this crappy product. Whirlpool Support wouldnt do anything else for me except say they were sorry I got stuck with a bad product of theirs. It was made for Whirlpool by US Craftmaster Water Heaters Co.

Bought this machine in Feb 2007 as a pair Whirlpool Cabrio. I loved it for almost two years. The control board went out, Whirlpool replaced it. A couple of weeks later, the F-1 codes started then the F-51 codes. On July of 10, it was code after code. It sounded like a jet taking off and constant unbalanced load. I called repairman and was told to go buy new machine as repairs would start at $500 and since I live in a rural area, no one wanted to waste their time. Two repair techs told me point blank they wouldnt even touch it. We paid $1000 for this machine and we live pay check to pay check. I spent four months trying to get Whirlpool to do something. I kept getting told I should have bought extended warranty. Machine has been sitting under stairs for over year waiting to see if class action or recall can be done. Also when control board was replaced, the repair man told me it was rusting away from the inside out. My husband had to find us a used washer and this thing has done nothing but cost us money. So much for efficiency. Everyone posting here also needs to go to Whirlpools Facebook page and post there.

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set. The heating element went out on the dryer when it was less than a year old. I purchased the set at Lowes. They sent out a repair person who called and told them it was the heating element and he replaced it. Two weeks went by and I could smell something burning. I called Lowes and after two weeks wait the repairman showed back up. He said that the control panel was bad. Lowes replaced my dryer and I have not had any further issues with it. Lowes gets an A+. My washer went out about a year later. It was making the loudest noise on the spin cycle. The repair person came out about 2 weeks after I called and told me that the washer was basically worthless, that the repair would cost more than the washer would to replace. I was totally shocked and decided to use it until it died. In the meantime, I found a repair/used appliance place. They repaired it for $235 and it ran for about 4 months. Then the noise returned. I have had it repaired again. Now the control panel gives me the SE light and stops running with 27 minutes left in the wash cycle. I have had nothing but problems with this machine. I would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone. Im going to have to replace this machine and it has cost me lots of $$. Junk!!

I bought this to provide A/C to our bedroom during a power outage by use of our Gasoline generator. It is very quiet and provide a very cool air flow. The double vent pipes make it efficient and more than capable of cooling out 15 X 25 foor bedroom. Whirlpool has 28,000 employees in the USA.

I bought a new Cabrio washer in August of 2011, and by December of 2011, it sounds like a jet engine when washing or spinning. It is still under warranty, but it is the same issue reported by countless others as I have discovered. Whirlpool should recall and find out what the problem is so that every consumer does not have to experience this issue.I will never buy Whirlpool again and I am going to make sure I spread the word about this machine to keep others from this experience.

Bought my 5 door refrigerator from Lowes in December 2016. Was delivered in January. Had a dent in the door so another new one was ordered that arrived in late January. From day one the dual ice makers have not made enough ice for our family. I called Lowes to have it checked out thru warranty. The repairman came out and said Its making ice. I cant fix something that is not broke. He suggest I buy a under the counter ice maker. What the heck! I pay over $3000.00 For dual ice makers and still dont have enough ice to supply my family. Cant believe Whirlpool puts out a dual ice maker in a refrigerator and it cant even supply a family of 5. The repairman said a normal family size is 3. I dont know where he came from but to me thats not normal. He was from Tutor Appliance Repair and was very rude until he realized he pissed me off then he blamed it on Whirlpool. The refrigerator is beautiful but Id rather have my old one. It made more ice than this new one does. Will I buy whirlpool again? No I wouldnt. If they cant stand behind their product and what its suppose to do then I dont need it. Bad thing I have to deal with this one for a while until I can purchase a new and better one. I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator (dbl dr) from Home Depot and received it on August 4th. When I went to clean it I found that blood had spilled from a roast and had accumulated all around the inside of the plastic shelf seal. It was impossible to clean. Water just ran inside the seal and diluted the blood. Then, it leaked all over my kitchen. I had a serviceman here for another problem, sent by Whirlpool. He said hed try to get them to replace the shelf. Never heard from him again. I called Whirlpool today. Was told I could buy another shelf. Otherwise, they didnt care. Said it wasnt a functional problem. This is a definite health hazard. Whirlpool used to be wonderful. What happened? I have a dryer, washer, and water tank about to need replacing. Whirlpool wont see a dime from me. (Home Depot, either.) This has become a very bad company. Ive contacted the NY Dist. Attys office. Meanwhile, I have a fridge with a major shelf missing for the holidays and for the foreseeable future.

We have had our Cabrio for one year now and we found the agitation cycle to be loud but we have gotten used to it now. The thing we cannot get used to is the sour smell permeating from it. It smells like a dirty mop. Our washer and dryer are in a small laundry room so when we enter it to get to the garage or bathroom, the smell hits you like a ton of bricks. Stinky!!

I just experienced the same problem with my top load Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7800XWO. It is 3 years old, and I paid $900 for it. The plastic that surrounds the glass top is broken around the hinge. I had to pay $75 for American Home Shield to diagnose this and now I am waiting for them to order the replacement part - the part is around $190 from Sears or 245 from Partselect.com. What a pain. PLUS, the machine is so noisy and starts to vibrate loudly toward the end of the cycle.

I bought Whirlpool Dishwasher from Lowes. This is just 2 years old. Model number is WDTA50SAHZ. This is gently used Dishwasher. Suddenly it stopped working. After water fill up, dishwaher is not working. I thought whirlpool is superb brand. Now its waste brand. Do not buy whirlpool dishwasher.

Our Whirlpool Duet Washer pair is 2.5 yrs old. The washer didnt work at first, but a repairman found the problem and fixed it right up. They have not broken. The dryer has been fine and we have had them stacked for most of the time without any issues. My problem sounds minor compared to those others listed here, but this thing is ruining all our white or light colored clothes. They go in white, and come out covered with splotchy, dirty looking spots literally all over them! They werent that kind of dirty when they went in. It’s the oddest thing, like it makes dirt. Reading some of these concerns makes me wonder if it has a mold problem inside somewhere, and that is what is ruining our clothes. Tax return is coming and it is going. End of story.

Same as others, We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer and there is a bearing problem (which seems to be the common issue reported). The washer is unusable at less than 5 years of age. The repairman told us its a bearing problem and its common for this to happen to the Cabrio. How can an Whirlpool get away with selling a defective product?

I have a Cabrio washer displaying the F-1 error code. I called on Thursday, the 15th of Sept. I spoke to Vicky in the Cleveland, TN division. She told me that the F-1 code on my machine (model no. WTW6600SW2 and serial no. **) was covered under a recall at no cost, parts or labor (I specifically asked this question). She set up a service repair ticket with Freds Appliance at 888-453-7337 and gave me the date. I was home waiting when they called. The driver drove in the drive and asked if he was there for my Jenn-Air cook top! I said no, the F-1 error code on the washer. He explained that he had just used the last control board last week and he changes them frequently. I called Whirlpool. A very snotty Ashley proceeded to tell me that nothing was covered and I would have to pay. I asked for a supervisor and Ratna answered after a hold of 45 minutes on my cell. I explained the situation. After begging, she proceeded to tell me that she would pay for parts only. I explained that the tech did not have the parts, didnt even know the correct appliance, and now I have to take another day off work to meet him to have my washer fixed. I have not used the washer in two weeks. I used to only buy Whirlpool products. After reading all the complaints about the same error code from other consumers, I believe there are enough complaints that we as consumers should be protected.

We bought this Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum washer 1/21/12. After less than 2 years of use, it now sounds like a jet plane taking off on the spin cycle. It is the first Whirlpool appliance I have ever bought and IT WILL MOST LIKELY be the last. After years of using and buying Kenmore appliances I fell for the salesman pitch that this was a better product. After spending $900 on this washer new, Im now told by 2 repair places that service your products that the repair cost for parts is$450 and then labor will total over $700. NOW to add insult to injury, this same machine now sells for $519 new.

KitchenAid double oven glass exploded during the self-clean cycle. The oven was purchased on 9-20-11 and the glass exploded on 11-30-11 during the first-use of the self-cleaning cycle. The cavity was damaged with dents and shards of glass from the explosion. Unfortunately, the warranty for KitchenAid is replacement of parts and repair only. Nicole, supervisor at Whirlpool, offered to extend the warranty 6 months. Then I was somehow disconnected from the call.

I have been married for 43 years and started my marriage with a Kenmore Washer and Dryer. That was because my mother, aunt, and grandmother all had Kenmore Washers and Dryers. Kenmore was made by Whirlpool. In 43 years I have gone through two sets of Kenmore Washers and Dryers, and one set of Whirlpool Washer and Dryer. I have always been very pleased with your product and have never considered buying anything else. However, last year we bought a new Whirlpool washer and dryer. I have no complaints about the dryer, but this washer is a piece of **! It is a cabrio top-loading high efficiency low-water washer. What idiot came up with this idea? Tonight I am once again having to divide my washer load and run them for at least a second time. This is not cost effective!!! This sprinkling with water and sucking it out doesnt work. Not to mention that since we have gotten these wonderful energy saving appliances our electric bill has increased instead of decreasing. You need to make a washing machine with a wash tub and agitator like you use too.

We had purchased matching Whirlpool Cabrio HE washer and gas dryer. Both appliances were worthless. Same problems as everyone else. Clothes did not come clean. Had to put it on bulky items just to clean the clothes due to lack of water. Funny how all the older machines that actually put water into the machine cleaned clothes. Went through a motherboard (computer) for both the washer and dryer at $250 each. Washer had repairman out at least 12 times over 3 years. Never again would I purchase a Whirlpool. We went to our local appliance dealer and purchased a Speed Queen. These are like the older ones. THEY WORK! They use the correct amount of water and wash your clothes in half the time. 22 minutes per load! You can open the lid while the water is running in and load your clothes. Gee, what a concept. Only company still making them in Wisconsin, United States. Go Wisconsin! They back their product with a 20 year warranty. What?? Who does that anymore? Companies who stand behind their product. We love our new Speed Queen.

Eleven months after purchasing a Whirlpool refrigerator for our office lunch room it stopped working. While the refrigerator was still under warranty, I called Whirlpool for a service call. I was informed that the warranty is voided because the unit is located at a business and not a residential property. I explained to the customer service agent that there is no mention of this policy until after the appliance is purchased. After a considerable amount of time on the phone speaking with several supervisors, I was connected to a Resolution Specialist. She informed me that this policy is available online for consumers to view prior to purchasing Whirlpool appliances and it is the consumers Due Diligence to research warranty policies before purchasing. Consumers beware! Warranties are voided on all Whirlpool appliances that are located at a business address.

We have had the washer and dryer for over 10 years and they are still working great. We have had washers and dryers in the past within 2 years have failed, and repairs have cost us almost as much as a new one. Thank God for the ones we have now.

I have the same lid closure issue expressed by many consumers and whirlpool refuses to acknowledge this as an issue, only recommends purchasing a new lid at $225. Lid design is flawed, metal L bracket connects to plastic housing/trim/side of lid, causing glass to pop out and stress cracks between screws. New models of same washer have redesigned lid, no cross reference part number or dimensions listed to determine if new lid will fit.

Top loading HE machine. Washer does not clean. I have tried all manufacture recommendations, changed detergents and tried laundry boosters, all to no avail. Tshirts, pants and socks routinely come out of the wash dirty and must be re-washed. This negates any energy savings. Also, the noise from the spin cycle is very loud - the washer is on the second floor but I was told by sales person that this would not be an issue with top loader. Overall, very disappointed and after all these years, I have finally given up on this washer and will junk it.

I purchased a Whirlpool duet front load washer 1/2013 new from Lowes. In 5 yrs it is my 2nd washer of Whirlpool. After 2 1/2 yrs, the bearings have gone out, also every time I run the cleaning cycle, water leaks out under the washer. My boyfriend looked the parts to fix the washer, since I called Lowes concerning the warranty and its out. Cost to repair, just in parts would be around $400, I paid a lot of money for a product to last only 2 1/2 yrs. Such a lack of quality in workmanship. With these price, there should be better quality. Do not purchase a whirlpool. 2 washers for them in 5 yrs is not a great track record.

Had unit about 4 yrs. No problem with unit, work great. Easy to clean, stand up to every day use, heat dishes and popcorn three level no issues, heat dishes, defrost items, cook food at several levels.

I purchased a new Whirlpool refrigerator, side by side in August 2013. The ice maker made ice but the size of the ice was much smaller than usual, however we lived with it. Soon it only made about a handful of ice a day, which defeats the purpose of an ice maker. So we called the store we bought it from and they sent a repairman. The problem was not solved until about the 4th visit from the repairman. I was told there was no problem with our ice maker from the first 3 repairmen.In the meantime the refrigerator side started pooling water in the bottom under the bin... Had to call again for that problem (they fixed). Now the door is showing rust under the handles. I have contacted Whirlpool and they have told me thats too bad, but they dont have to do anything because read the fine print, it is not their problem and thank you for being a Whirlpool customer. I am very disappointed in this supposedly good company... Is this corporate America? Never again will I buy Whirlpool.

My Whirlpool microwave broke. Im not sure how or why so today I purchased another 2 actually. Both were too big. The model I purchased is discontinued. I had to remove part of my Marble Backsplash - the turntable is tiny however mic is huge. Work on making microwave for smaller areas. Stick to get or Samsung for a nice size microwave not a Mongo mega oven above your oven.

Whirlpool refrigerator runs continuously, but doesnt cool. I have to turn it off manually to cool down the motor. I have to run it on the highest number (5), then freezes some things on the top shelf but lower shelves are warm. We need these refrigerators and freezers replaced with different brands of our choice!

I purchased a 12 year warranty, high end Whirlpool WATER HEATER (OR SO I THOUGHT AT THE TIME) through Lowes in 2014. Model ND50T122-403. Six years and multiple service calls later it is broken again, this time for the final time. I am ripping this garbage out. So livid with this company that could give a rip about their customers. Three years in to my 12 year warranty it started giving me problems. Horrible HORRIBLE customer service. They will insult your intelligence. Whirlpool will not honor the warranty or stand behind their product. They just take your money and basically give a shrug of the shoulders or worse blame you for THEIR TERRIBLE product failing. It may be unscrupulous and unethical but I guess saves them a pile of money which is what they seem to only be out.The Service Tech that came for the 4th time to repair it says they see this all the time in Whirlpool water heaters. Its a Design Flaw they say. I dont know about all that. I just know when I have been swindled. The electronics are garbage. The pilot light when it goes out is not easily reset as others have mentioned on this site. Will stay lit for while and then shuts down. Whirlpool says, despite reams of evidence to the contrary it must be a safety issue in the install, which they have absolutely zero evidence of therefore, they are not honoring the warranty. They are Blaming the installers, according to our service techs who tried to order the part thats supposed to be under warranty.The original installers, by the way were from Lowes, the outfit that sold me this hot mess. Another Class action lawsuit seems ripe. Or perhaps the consumer protection division from each states Attorneys General would be interested in protecting their citizens from practices like this. Lowes is complicit in allowing it, failing to protect their customers and not calling Whirlpool out for it. I cant think of a more deserving target of consumer protection than Whirlpool. I bought a Cabrio Washer and Dryer around January 2015 at Lowes. After going through the worse service imaginable, the washer was like pouring salt in the wound. I like the dryer fine, but months later, Im still unhappy with the washer. While it washes OK, it takes forever to wash a load. Most of the time, it does not spin the clothes out enough. There is no way to just spin again. You have to go through a rinse/spin cycle and you may or may not get lucky with a sufficient spinning. Why cant they just have a spin cycle and why does it have to take so long to wash a simple load of clothes? I have bought many Whirlpool appliances, but this is my last ever.

I had started the dishwasher and had gone to bed last night. I came downstairs ten minutes later to get a bottle of water. There was smoke throughout my downstairs levels. Our Whirlpool Gold Dishwashers control had dark, noxious smoke emitting from it. I tried to turn it off but it was too hot to touch. I went to the breaker box and shut it off there, turned on fans, and went back to bed. This morning, it turned the electricity back on. It started smoking again. I tried to cancel the cycle but it wouldnt cancel. I opened the door to stop the cycle and it continued spraying water and still wouldnt shut down. I had to shut it off at the breaker again. Next problem is my refrigerator, washer and dryer are all on the same breaker. UGH! This is the second Whirlpool I have had. The first one had a rusted tub that leaked into our basement. The repair guy said he had never seen that before...sure...why would you put something in a dishwasher that would rust out on you? Whirlpool, NEVER AGAIN. I WILL PASS THIS INFO ON TO EACH AND EVERY PERSON I EVER KNOW. COUNT ON IT.

I purchase newly Whirlpool washing machine but it was not working from the first day of my purchase. So many service Engineer came but nobody can solve the problem, so I suggest to all please don’t buy washing machine from Whirlpool. I am very disappointed from this company.

Model number wrf990slam00. I purchased this French door refrigerator in September of 2013 (less than two years ago). Our freezer stopped freezing a month ago. Knowing it was out of Warranty we had a non-Whirlpool related repair tech out. He said the compressor was going out, he said to call Whirlpool because this should not be happening on a fridge less than two years old. I called Whirlpool. They offered me a extended Warranty knowing the issue for $320 so I accepted since a compressor with labor is much more than that. Whirlpool arranged for a repair person to come out. The guy hardly looked at my fridge, didnt hook any gauges up and said maybe just see it in a few days it works again... after asking ME for a thermometer to check the temperature! I told him well we had a previous repair person out and he said it was the compressor. He said hed have to have someone else come out because he doesnt know anything about compressors. Um ok why did they send you out then! So the following week I get a call from a different guy with the same company saying my parts were in and they were going to come out and replace them. I said I thought the guy didnt know what was wrong with it. He said oh well its the compressor and evaporator! Ok well I guess comes fix it then. They came out replaced the parts. Within 36 hours the freezer was working again, ok great! Well a week later we had people over and we bought ice cream and put it in the freezer. A few hours later we pull it out and its melting. Called Whirlpool again, they sent a second company out. The guy hooked up his gauges and said it was definitely leaking refrigerant and the fibrotic in the ice maker was broken. He said he couldnt fix it because the company that replaced them is responsible for it, and that in this type of refrigerator the compressors need to be placed a certain way or they leak which he suspected that was the case. Called Whirlpool, they scheduled for the original company to come out. After 2 times of them not showing they finally came a week and a half later. The guy hooked up his gauges said it wasnt leaking and that the other guy didnt know how to read the gauges. He looked around for a bit, took my drawers out then put them back in and broke one of the brackets, then called the tech line and said its probably an internal leak. He said he needed approval from Whirlpool to look any further. A few hours after he left the refrigerator got warm. I called Whirlpool to expedite the claim and they said the company hadnt made a claim yet. Ok great. I have a two-year-old and Im pregnant and we have no refrigerator! Called the next day. Whirlpool said the refrigerator is now too expensive or not repairable and they are going to make me an offer on replacement. Ok great! Well not so much. I call a few days later to see where the heck my offer is and they tell me sorry we will only refund your Warranty What! My fridge is less than two years old and I paid $2100 and it is not repairable and thats all you will do!!!! Im in the process of fighting this but I doubt they will do anything. Just dont ever buy a Whirlpool and if you do buy the Warranty the store offers! Each repair person that came suggested the same thing and said these new Whirlpools are junk and have had many of these refrigerators do the same thing. Whirlpool makes tons and tons of money making these cheap refrigerators but does not care about the customer whatsoever! Whirlpool has lost my business forever and I hope more customers because of this review.

I purchased a Whirlpool Gold French door with the bottom freezer in October 2013. I had one repair done while it was still under the 1 year warranty, but by the time it was 18 months old, it began leaking refrigerant. I was told by the technician that the cost to repair it would be more than the value of the refrigerator, and the chances of the repair lasting more than 6 months were minimal. I had to buy a brand new refrigerator (not a whirlpool this time). I contacted Whirlpool customer service but they were non-sympathetic. Do Not Buy Whirlpool Products - Poor quality and high prices.

Purchased this washer 5 months ago. Have had service 3 times as dark clothes come out with white residue. I have done everything possible to correct the problem. They recommended from cleaning the machine, using less detergent, minimizing the load, using extra rinse, deep water and still the clothes come out with the residue. And it takes way too long to wash a batch of clothes. This is a known problem with this model. Repair company recommended a replacement and Whirlpool insists that it is a usage problem. One thing they said Could be water is too cold, I live in Florida there is no cold water! Whirlpool refuses to replace it. DONT BUY IT!!!

WRF989SDAB00 - Our house burnt down in April 2012. We purchased all Whirlpool products to be put back into our house. We had to purchase these items in November 2012 so the contractor could get them into our house because of the cabinets. We did not move into our house until the last week of December and could not use these items until then. In December of 2013, our freezer went out along with the ice maker. I had to fight for Whirlpool to pay for these repairs. They kept saying that it was over the one year warranty. They did accept responsibility and paid for A&E to come look at the frig. One guy came out the first time and thought he fixed it. No. A month later two guys came out. They said it was the condenser. They ordered the parts and came back a third time to replace it. A month and a half later, same problem. A&E came out a fourth time and thought they fixed it again. Nope. During this period, I purchased a extended service plan. I AM TELLING EVERYONE TO DO THIS NOW BECAUSE IT TAKES 60 DAYS FOR THIS PLAN TO TAKE EFFECT. Now the service plan people sent a different company out and he said it is going to cost a lot of money because the things that need to be replaced. The plan SHOULD cover all of this. I called both the service company and Whirlpool demanding that they send us a replacement frig. I believe sending someone out at least SIX TIMES to fix the same problem is ridiculous. Each company is blaming the other and each is saying its the others responsibility to replace the frig.

What a horrible experience. I purchased a Whirlpool Duet HE Front Loading Steam Washer in 9/9. I have used it no more than 15 times. It has an error code F70. I called Whirlpool and used one of their recommended technicians. He was there for no more than five minutes and he informed me that it was one of the two parts--one is $300, the other is $500. Both these parts are computer chips. He instructed me to call Whirlpool stating that they would give me the parts for free. I did, and they refused stating that the product is now out of the one-year warranty. This is clearly defective. I am now faced with $1,000 fix. I feel that I was further misled by Whirlpool because they should have told me before the service call that I was going to have to pay $1,000. The customer service reps and the manager were both unresponsive and rude.

I have owned this Whirlpool Refrigerator French Door MODEL WRF990SLAM01 for less than 10 months. The ice machine broke down completely a few weeks ago. We called Whirlpool and they sent a repairman out the following week. He left saying he had to order parts. About 8 days later, they called to let me know they have the part in and scheduled a time to fix it. They put the new part on and said ice should be coming out in the next 72 hours. It never happened!! Not only did the ice maker stop working, the freezer stopped working which was about $300 worth of frozen meat/goods down the drain. I called the appliance repair guy. He said, I was worried about that, this product is known to have these issues. I asked, Does Whirlpool know? He replied, Absolutely, they have a kit to fix this but its not 100% guaranteed to fix this issue. REALLY?!!! I called Whirlpool and they could have cared less. There were no apologies, no type of compensation (exchange/replace). It is now going on day 22 and we still have no ice or freezer. This fridge cost me $2500 and four requested days off so I could wait for the repairman. Whirlpool, you as a company should be ashamed and outraged. You are more concerned about the bottom line of recalling these lemons and forgetting the impact you are having on us consumers. How many people are going through this issue that will not under any circumstance purchase a Whirlpool product again? I am so happy I am not investing in this company as this will impact this company in the future. They may be selling quite a few now to new homes/builders but when the word gets out what type of product they are selling and not repairing prior to the sale and knowingly letting people buy these, it leaves quite a bit of culpability on their hands. IF you are going to sell crap product, then stand behind it and repair/replace it prior to selling it to retailers!! You are a pathetic company!! STAY AWAY FROM WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS!!!

I bought a brand new Whirlpool washer and dryer set -Cabrio- $1700.00 in 2011. It is by far the worst washing machine I have ever purchased, and I am 60 years old!!! It is now three years old and has been repaired at least 4 times. Long story short... after hours & hours on the phone, along with many threats! (By the way I had to ask for a manager two times up the ladder for this to happen as they just kept repeating that it was out of warranty coverage). I also told them that I was going to have one of my company trucks deliver this machine to Sears lot, along with a paid person to inform every shopper of my plight with this washer and the lack of service from Sears and Whirlpool! Whirlpool finally agreed to pay for the parts but not the labor on this most current repair. (This time it is the transmission!! In the past it was the Hub, twice. The gear case twice and the belt a number of times). I am now going back to Sears to request (that might not be the correct word) Demand, that they take care of the service bill for this machine. In between repairs, I have dealt with ongoing cleaning quality problems. This machine does not get clothes clean. I always have to wash them twice. This machine is loud. This machine does not use enough water to even dissolve the soap. So much for energy saving measures when you have to wash twice and still see soap and crud in the tub. Worst, worst, ever washing machine in my life!! By the way, I have an 8 year old Maytag too that I have never had to repair. Moral of the story, buy Maytag, or at least do not buy a Cabrio!!!!

My wife and I purchased a Whirlpool Duet washer and dryer 5 years 1 month ago. We purchased the front load style because they were supposed to be better made than the older style. Its just my wife and I no kids. We never overload the washer or dryer. Now the drum bearings in the washer have gone out. I feel that a washer should last longer than 5 years and 1 month. I dont think I will be buying another Whirlpool.

I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher from lowest in May of 2011 and it stopped draining, serial # f11601686. I was told it was under warranty and you sent someone out. But surprise, I got a $129 service bill and it couldnt be fixed, computer board gone and drain motor shot. I was told its cheaper to buy a new one. After 10 months of use, we need a new one. I think you should replace my dishwasher and pay for a service call. Oh, the reason they said it wasnt covered is because they sold me a 2007 model.

Whirlpool GX5FHDXVB03 french door refrigerator: Continual water leaks. Condensation freezes in bottom of freezer compartment then leaks out on to floor. Per repairman, this is a common problem with this model which theyll come out and fix (remove ice and run hot water done drain line for a cost nearly $150) but it will happen again and again, etc. I cant tell you how many times weve had to perform this task. This is an engineering design defect that Whirlpool should fix.

We bought a Whirlpool freezer-bottom 18.5 cu ft. fridge from Lowes. The compressor broke in less than three months of regular use. I called Whirlpool who sent A&E to check it out. The technician didnt even file a report and lied to me about what was wrong with the fridge. They sent a different company to come look at it and they confirmed that the compressor is broken. I called Whirlpool customer service and was told that the warranty only covers repairs not replacement even though I paid over $1,000 for a defective product. The excuse: Its a man-made product so we cant guarantee it! So what used to be a 3-5 year warranty not too long ago is now what? A one-year warranty is virtually useless. I can see a future not too far off where there is no warranty at all. Where is the protection for the buyer? If I wanted to purchase a second-hand fridge, I would have. I will never buy Whirlpool again.

I bought the washer Whirlpool duet on June 2009 (2 years and 2 months to date) and suddenly gave me an F70 code and died on me. It would cost me about $550.00 for parts and $129.00 for labor which is almost $700.00 in total. Its a communication error code where the CCU or the Motor Control Board was the culprit. I called the company for a concession consideration and they said they go by the warranty period. I should have read reviews for this company washers. Now, I have to find myself a better washer. I will never buy Whirlpool again. What a ripoff!

This washing machine is a piece of junk. It broke down exactly 2 days after the one year warranty expired. Home Depot said there was nothing they could do and Whirlpool said the same thing. This washing machine was not used on a weekly basis. It perhaps washed 20 loads during the course of the year. I had many issues with the sensors before it broke down completely. Sometimes, half the clothes would be dry after the entire cycle. I was so angry that I had a local independent contractor come in and look at it. He said the motor was broken and needed to be replaced. So much for $700 down the drain. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. This was the worst experience Ive ever had with an appliance.

Whirlpool stove and dishwasher very good quality. I find that the quality is beyond excellent for the amount of money. I would highly recommend Whirlpool. Easy to clean, heats up fast, looks beautiful. I would never change Whirlpool for anything else.

I am pleased with the steel tub, the ability to do an extra rinse and spin and especially the choices of water level that it determines by the size of the load. Its ability save water use. I would repurchase the top loader again. My clothes come out looking wonderful especially the whites and I do not use bleach. It does not get the mold or mildew odor that my last machine would get due to the rubber or plastic made tub. I love it.

I am on my 3rd refrigerator from Whirlpool. The first one lasted 8 years, the second one lasted 6 years, and now the 3rd one has only lasted 4 years. This is just too much money to pay for a supposedly nice quality product and it go out as the warranty goes out. The second we had to replace the icemaker 3 times and a compressor. Now the 3rd is not cooling.

Have a warranty with them to get reimbursed for repairs for a year. Have had to use it twice now for the same part. Customer service told me itd take two weeks to get a certified repairman of their choosing to be reimbursed. Two weeks to go without a fridge is their solution and they have no other repairmen working. So I ask to speak to a supervisor and the representative tells me she wont transfer me out because thats the way it is. Paid out of pocket to get it fixed immediately instead of waiting.

I love my washer and dryer but am a little disappointed in a few areas. First, my washer stopped spinning normally after a few years, I forget exactly why. Then my clothes were too wet when it was done. My dryer then did not get my clothes dry in one cycle. Also, it was going to cost $500 to fix my washer which wasnt worth it. But Whirlpool did send us a new tub and all the parts for free. Thankfully my husband is handy and after finding a YouTube video, replaced it all and now it works again. My dryer still doesnt always dry everything all the way. I often have to do 2-3 cycles in the dryer to get my clothes dry. I thought there was supposed to be a sensor that would keep the dryer going until there was no more moisture. Maybe that is broken too.

When my dryer died my wife and I decided to get both a new washer & dryer. I kick myself for two reasons. My 15-year-old washer which worked fine I replaced, and I didnt check reviews before buying. What a mistake. The eco-friendly Whirlpool washer designed to save energy doesnt clean close, my towels are the worse. Coming out of a shower and using a freshly washed towel to dry off and it smelling like it had never been washed tears it for me. Im hoping like many others they will rebate or even better recall and pay back the money I spent on a worthless washing machine! So, if Whirlpool wont do the right thing, I will do my best to warn others to not buy this top loading piece of **.

The refrigerator itself is noisy but thats not the problem. Most of my low ratings are because of the ice maker. Instead of being in the freezer it is up in the refrigerators area. It jams a lot, makes a lot of noise, had to replace the ice maker assy inside it already as it quit. Then the defrost water drain plugged and had to be cleaned out. Too many problems for such a new refrigerator. The refrig. itself works fine but get one with ice maker in the freezer.

Updated on 07/09/2020: This fridge freezes produce. A part was replace to solve this problem but it has never worked properly. After several attempts to correct temperature fluctuation, Whirlpool decided it was working within their specs and advised us to set the temp higher to solve the problem. So we are doing that but now if the temp is too high the ice is watery and falls out of the ice compartment when we have finished using the ice dispenser. So we lower the temp and it again freezes the produce. Do NOT buy a Whirlpool!!! If you have any questions look at whirlfreezefood story...Original Review: Purchased September 2019. The capacity is small but it does a good job of washing and drying the dishes. I always check to make sure that all dishes are washed including silverware and they are. My dishwasher is quite old but it is still sufficient for our use.

My oven was a lemon from day one. The light bulb would not light, the oven would not come on. Had the repairman in cause it was under warranty, he replaced the gas valve. A month later the same thing happened, the oven did not light. Have been putting up with this for a little over a year, it is finally off warranty. Same thing happens, you go to cook something and it will not light, then the oven door broke! We had to pay to have a new hinge installed. Whoever heard of a oven door breaking? I have had ovens 40 years old and they still work and the door doesnt break. Needless to say, my oven is still doing the same thing, lights sometimes and other times does not. Called Whirlpool several times, they are nasty and wont stand behind anything. Customer service says there is no lemon law for stoves. I will not ever buy another Whirlpool anything and that is not a threat but a PROMISE.

I just bought a Whirlpool Duet Front Loader, and it vibrates excessively and wont fully rinse out all of the detergent. I have to take the tray out each time and rinse. Also, it has a musty smell.Whirlpool sent a repairman out to replace the shocks on a washer that is less than 2 months old. The repairman told me to use less detergent, but I am only using a teaspoon of powder detergent which is recommended and using Affresh once a month. There is nothing they can do about it till it is deemed unrepairable.

Bought the Whirlpool Cabrio in March of 2013. From the first day we used it, it Never cleaned our clothes. There is not enough water to clean the clothes. I put some grape jelly on one towel and washed 5 more towels with it, and guess what the stain and jelly are still on the towel. l went over to my daughters and washed the same towels on rinse, and the jelly was gone. Remember, it was on rinse. I THINK the CEO NEEDS to come to my house and wash his white shirts. This is a design problem. Yes, it will save you money, you dont need soap, because the washer doesnt clean your clothes with water or soap. We built a new home at the beach to enjoy our retirement and the builder installed new Whirlpool appliances. As far as we are concerned this was the BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY WE HAD. Our appliances were under warranty for 1 year as usual and after 14 months things began to break. The latest is the ice maker in the French door fridge. After finding the diagnostics test online I ran the test and determined that the whole ice maker needs replaced. This ridiculous since the fridge is only a little over a year old. We even upgraded the fridge to avoid any problems. After talking to the people in our neighborhood we have come to find out that most people here have had trouble with whirlpool appliances.. I am ready to send these to the junkyard and replace them with a reputable brand (LG) that we owned before and were very happy with.. I dont understand if there is all these problems with Whirlpool products why the technical team doesnt fix the problem... Get parts from the USA NOT CHINA!!! My neighbor just told me he had the repairman at his house 7 times to fix his fridge and finally got a new one. Just got tired of the hassle and expense....

In the first year of my Whirlpool Washing Machine, the motor quit working entirely. Fortunately, the machine was under a 1-year warranty and the motor was replaced by a Whirlpool service technician. My big complaint with this washing machine is this: Even though you select hot water for the wash cycle, the machine has sensors in it that only allow the water to get lukewarm. If it senses the water getting too hot, it adds cold water to bring the wash temperature back down to 78 degrees F. Next time I will do my research and buy a machine that actually allows one to use hot water.

Worst washing machine ever, I should’ve kept my 12-year-old washer that leaked, it worked better and actually washed my clothes... This washer, the Cabrio 5.3 leaves clothes DIRTY, can’t use fabric softener because it doesn’t wash it out even with the extra rinse and deep water wash, leaves white ** on everything!!! I have to wash everything TWICE! I hate this washer! I hate Whirlpool! Piece of **, I want my money back or I want a different washer that actually works as it should! I had a Whirlpool GI7FVCXWY01. Purchase 3/13/2010. I had repairman after repairman come to fix it. The last one probably saved my family and my house. The light in the back corner was not only blinking, but flashing rapidly, much like some wild party light. It eventually stopped. The freezer works perfectly fine, the fridge works when it wants to. The ice maker makes ice some days but not others. The motor on the ice dispenser is completely frozen up. Does that all sound about right? If it does, clean it out and cut the power to it before someone gets electrocuted or your house catches fire.If you cant find the electrical diagram, or the company wants $455 to answer your questions, look under the right side of the freezer draw, but not on the draw. Remove the guard on the very bottom of the unit, near the wheels on the right side. You will feel a plastic bag attached to the underside. Inside that bag is the complete diagram of all the wiring harnesses along with the schematic for the amps and voltages for each wire. Are they telling your circuit board is bad and you will need a new one? Before you do that, inside the fridge compartment, in between the water filter and the ice maker, remove the light cover. Notice that inside that space is the access to another panel. Remove that panel. BE SURE THERE IS NO POWER RUNNING TO THE UNIT FIRST. Here you will find a connection plug with more or less 15 wires that are connected to the main wiring harness. Above that plug you will find a holding chamber. This holding chamber contains water from the filter that is waiting to go to the ice maker. It has dripped condensation on the plug since the day you first turned on your fridge. Your wires are most likely broken and corroded. You will need to have your unit completely rewired, but because of the design flaw that fix will only buy you another 4-5 years. My Whirlpool GI7FVCXWY01 left yesterday 5/15/2014 and none too soon.

I have had my Whirlpool W10280546B HE washer for 1 1/2 years. For the last year, I have had constant problems with the washer leaving a large amount of residue (in spots) all over my laundry. I have always run my washer as instructed, and I only used HE detergent in the correct amount. This residue appears to be fine lint, but may be lint combined with detergent.I have used the washing machine cleaning tablets and powders, but this has not helped at all. No one seems to have ever heard of this problem. I have to clean off these spots which cover approximately 1/3 of each article with every washing. The dryer helps get some of it off, but not nearly all of it. Any suggestions besides buying another washer of another brand after only 1 1/2 years?!

We purchased this washer and dryer new in 2011. Have repaired door to washer twice. New doors total cost $500.00 each time. Now it is cracked yet again and the dryer door has to be adjusted. The temp does not work right. Have to do minimum of 2 cycles for drying. Very unhappy. We may as well buy a new set of another make. Tired of the expensive repairs.

My mother and grandmother swore by Whirlpool washers. They were the best. So, naturally I never wanted any other brand - then came the digital machines. End of an era. My experience with my 1 year old digital machine has been very frustrating. I do not like it. I prefer the old system.

My dishwasher is more than five years old. The water jets need to cleaned regularly. A little noisy but I can chalk that up to age. I use 1 or two packs of detergent. Sometimes, if I don’t pre-wash, I need to run through the cycle.
