My Cabrio washing machine is a hunk of scrap metal after five years of lite use. Replaced the electronics first, then a year or so later replaced the motor. Now its leaking from the bottom. Repair man said it is not fixable. I did not buy a warranty because it was too expensive compared to the value of the washing machine. My recommendation to anyone buying a Whirlpool appliance is to buy the cheapest thing on the market, so that you can throw it away when it breaks because they are made to break so that they can sell you extended warranties.

On October 25, 2014, I lost my home, all of my belongings, and nearly lost my wife when my Whirlpool range model xfe371lvbo shorted out and caught fire. After spending thousands of dollars for an independent investigation to be conducted on the stove, it was determined that the control panel on the console shorted out, causing the fire. Since then, I havent had any response back from Whirlpool. I am in the process of meeting the required criteria for filing a claim, but have some questions, and everyone seems to be ignoring me. Please help.

I called and emailed Whirlpool because the water dispenser drips all over the front of the fridge and floor. They had the nerve to tell me to use a cup for the problem and there was nothing they could do. They were no help with this problem.

The agitator is higher than any I have seen and when we washed aprons that have plastic buckles on them, they get stuck under the agitator. When complained their solution was to use laundry bags to wash 15 aprons in, they are long aprons. Paying a lot of money for the machine and it being commercial I didnt think we would not be able to use it. The whole machine shut down when three of the buckles got stuck. The washer is model # CAE2793BQ and I would suggest that no one purchase one of these machines.

DO NOT purchase a WHIRLPOOL hot water heater!! The gas valve temperature sensors on these units are faulty. Our technician has replaced several of these defective sensors. Costs $250.00 to install - water tank is only a year old! WHIRLPOOL REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS PROBLEM!! We bought this particular unit because of the reputable name brand. They dont live up to expectations. Dont waste your money on a Whirlpool - youll be replacing it soon! Very disappointed in this company!

I am not pleased with my self-cleaning oven. I dont even use my oven that often and I cannot get off even the simplest of stains on the sides, top, and bottom. I have tried to clean the oven three times and the stains from pie drippings are still not coming clean. It should not be this hard to clean an oven because my last oven was so much better and it was not Aqualift. The top of the oven is also very hard to keep the burners clean and looking like new. I am very disappointed in this oven and believe that this is false advertisement to the consumers. I pride myself in keeping my kitchen looking clean but this just is not working for me!

We purchased this washer (Whirlpool Cabrio) about two months ago and we have been extremely dissatisfied with its performance. Quite simply, it does not get clothes or anything else clean! I have tried every possible setting and still the dirt remains on anything that is even slightly soiled. So, I cant believe that things that dont look dirty are getting cleaned either. They probably arent even getting rinsed, even with the extra rinse option. It seems almost nobody likes this machine, so why is Whirlpool risking their formerly sterling company reputation by keeping it on the market? I would be happy if I could return it to the store for a refund, but that is not a possibility as far as I can tell. If you are considering buying this machine - dont!

Never worked proper form the start, always condensation, bottom froze and top unthawed and vice versa. No help from store or company. During any temp change the fresh food would freeze and top unfreeze and no matter how long you waited and changed settings. Junk.

In the last year, I have had to put in two sets of parts to my Whirlpool water heater (thermocouple) within three months in between each malfunction. Now the hot water is out again, and I need to have a plumber come and reapply new parts to the hot water heater. Whirlpool is refusing to send new parts to the less than a year old hot water heater until they speak with my plumber. It was purchased in December 2011. I am a disabled senior citizen, and we have not had hot water in over a week. Meanwhile, the weather is in the teens and has been snowing. I live alone and have not been able to wash dishes, take showers or mop my floor. Being a diabetic, cleanliness is very important to maintain good health. Living on Social Security, I cannot afford to replace my water heater parts every few months and my health cannot afford to not have hot water. Whirlpool Cabrio platinum washer (JUNK. DO NOT BUY). As mentioned in other complaints, the Cabrio top loading washer is garbage. Sound during the spin cycle is VERY LOUD because of a bearing noise. The clothes dont even get clean, lint all over dark clothes. I am the only person in the household so the machine did not get used as much as a family would use it. DO NOT BUY THE CABRIO WASHERS.

Please contact me if a class action Lawsuit has been filed for I am one of those who spent close to 3,000.00 for a lemon and to get the runaround. I spent every penny I earned to buy a long lasting fridge (Whirlpool Gold Series) only to have a headache ever since I bought it. Only owning a year the freezer went out, yes I had to endure the loud noise, no ice. Then the thing would spoil my milk and ham making my stomach to be sick. The temp is 60•. The people that Whirlpool sends out are in cahoots. Told me my compressor is out and I just heard it kick on. We are currently using refrigerator we brought out of the travel trailer kitchen because this thing sucked out all my money.

I purchased a Whirlpool® 4.5 cu. ft. Front Load Washer with Load & Go Dispenser in 2017. By August of 2020 the washing machine was no longer working. The machine would continue to fill with water and not shut off. The machine would then give an error of E01 and F03 and drain all water within 5 minutes of the wash load starting. I had a certified Whirlpool technician come and diagnose the problem for $99. The technician said these error codes happen ALL THE TIME on Whirlpool washers. The technician tried to replace the water pressure switch with no success. He then spoke to a corporate office and was told we would have to replace the motherboard for over $500. The total cost for the diagnosis and repair was almost the exact price I paid for a new washer just 3 years earlier. I will NEVER purchase any Whirlpool appliance ever again.

Overall the stove works well but it is horrible to clean. You have to use a lot of muscle to get the spills up from around the burners. It is hard to get around the burners to get all the spots off. The gas burners work well & cook evenly.

I purchased the top-of-the-line Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer. My washer is 6 years old and will not complete a wash cycle. According to the repairman, the drive shaft is stuck and it will cost $500.00 to repair it. When speaking with Whirlpool, their suggestion was to buy a new one and get an extended warranty. This company is a total disappointment.

Worst service ever. This is my 4th refrigerator (I have 2 homes and moved a few times) and I have NEVER heard of a compressor going bad in 8 months. This was a new fridge, and all of my food went bad along with my infants milk. I cannot express how upset we were, and Whirlpool told us that they cant do anything for us, and it was just something that happens. Basically, they told me, Sorry for your loss... you should buy a longer warranty since this is not covered if it happens after a year. In 2007, I purchased two 30 gal. Whirlpool Flame Lock water heaters (Model: FG1F3030T3NOV) from Lowes for two different homes that I own. I started having trouble with one of them after about two months. I replaced the thermocouple several times, with each one working only about a month. After that, Lowes replaced the complete burner assembly and that, so far, fixed the problem.Now, the second one has (1 Oct 11) gone out. The local Lowes told me that they are out of the burner assembly for this water heater. I called them this evening and was told that they didnt know when they would have the part, but to call back about every other day to see if they had received the burner assembly for this water heater. They said that it could be from two days to two weeks before they may receive this part!In 2008, I also purchased a 40 gal. Whirlpool Flame Lock water heater (Model: BFG1F4034T3NOV) for my house and no problems so far. In 2007, I even recommended that a friend of mine purchase and install one of these in a home that he owned. He did. I helped him install it and it later had the same problems! I am now needing a water heater for my workshop. What can I buy thats dependable?

FRUSTRATION!!! It is unbelievable that even appliances have become DISPOSABLE! Where are the days of when our parents bought well made appliances that LASTED 20 years with NO problems??? There was satisfaction knowing that a purchase of an appliance was $$ well spent! These days it costs MORE to replace parts than IF you purchased a brand new machine! We purchased BRAND NEW Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer AND dryer in 2007. The washer has been repaired a total of 5 times and the dryer 3 times!!! IN A SPAN OF 10 YEARS! Are you serious?! With the $$ spent on warranties/ labor/ parts: WE could have purchased new appliances. What is WRONG with this picture? IT IS ALL about making money on REPLACING PARTS/WARRANTIES/LABOR!!! Forget the consumer that is spending THEIR hard earned money to buy the appliances initially. Short of going to a laundromat, the consumer needs to purchase a washer & dryer. Im very frustrated. I bought a Whirlpool Refrigerator for nearly $1300 in Sept. 11. It is a side-by-side Model #ED5KVEXVL00. The refrigerator side started warming up to the point that we noticed. We put a thermometer inside to confirm; it went up to nearly 60 degrees. We tried cleaning any dust underneath from the coils and even unplugged it for a while. The compressor appears to be the potential problem. Sears is not sending a repair guy for 2 WEEKS (It is a hot July here in NY)!!!!We are saddened that Whirlpool says it is out of the one-year warranty - so now we are facing the choice of a large repair bill or buying a new refrigerator. What a waste of money... Its not even 2 years and it needs service or a dumpster. Shame on Whirlpool for not standing up for customers when clearly there is something wrong with this machine so close to the warranty and so new. My husband and I purchased a Whirlpool over the range microwave in 2005, model number MIX155XHPT-1 and serial number TR S 30 32419. At first the top vent broke then the opening side broke off. Then the whole side of the closing door broke off. Now the whole door wants to fall off. I would have never expected this from Whirlpool, but it happened.

The Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine it’s the best washing machine I’ve owned. Water temperatures are right on, has an express wash 38 mins for lightly soiled clothes, plus the normal, delicate, heavy, bulky, 2nd rinse, if you need it. My wife loves it because it’s very Gentle on her personal items. Energy saver AND BEST OF ALL, IT REALLY CLEANS THE CLOTHES.

One month after the delivery/installation of this new refrigerator, it began making loud noises when cooling the top refrigeration unit. After the 4th service call and replacement parts, the noise ceased for 3 months. The noise has returned and Im now scheduling the 5th service call for the same problem. Thank goodness I purchased the extended protection plan through Lowe’s when I bought my three new Whirlpool kitchen appliances. Whirlpool used to be known for quality and dependable appliances. That no longer is true. SAD.

I purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator 8 months ago model # WRF560SEXM which is less than a year old and already Im experiencing problems already. I have owned several refrigerators in the past which were older models and less sophisticated, and all of them lasted well over 10 years with no major issues, so to buy a new refrigerator through Whirlpool and have it malfunction in less than a year is unacceptable. Customers deserves better than this especially at these prices.My malfunction occurred when my ice maker stopped working and the internal temperature stopped working altogether, which caused all my food to spoil which had to replaced which was very expensive which infuriated me more and because my service appointment was a week away. I LITERALLY had to order out for food and purchase ice. And if this happens again I will have replace food and order food out again. WHIRLPOOL dont realize the impact this has on its customers. I would definitely not recommend their refrigerators EVER!!!

Electrolux dishwasher model EI24ID50QS - My husband picked this dishwasher after reading all the good reviews. However, after having issues with it, I tried to post my review and it would not post. I think Electrolux is somehow only posting good reviews and leaving out the bad. I had a technician come out to see why it took 6 hours to go through the cycle along with not cleaning the dishes well. He said I needed to run hot water before starting the cycle and that I needed to prewash my dishes before loading.In other words, its not a dishwasher but a sanitizer. Keep in mind that I rinse my dishes before loading, so I dont have food particles stuck dry on my dishes. So, I used his method of running hot water before cycle is started. It works ok when you dont use your kitchen faucet during the dishwashing cycle. However, the minute you use your faucet, the dishwasher runs for 6 hours! This is the worst dishwasher ever! Not to mention, the control panel is so sensitive that if you accidentally touch a cycle to start, you cant get it to cancel. It is ridiculous. Dont buy! It will be your biggest mistake.

Whirlpool Cabrio Washer-Dryer - Bought a set a few years ago at Lowes. They are a very attractive set and I was pleased at first. Now, I have had to have repairmen out for these units 3 times. The bearings keep going out on the washer because it spins so fast, it wears them out. Now the thing is leaking. Whatever happened to the days when appliances lasted 15-20 years. For the high cost of these things, they are junk. I am very disappointed. I will never buy one of these again.

Agreeing with many. How disturbing to buy a Cabrio Whirlpool washing machine about 5 years ago. I might as well go down to the river and wash my clothes. The bearings went out which means I have to be the spin cycle. I am hanging out my clothes on the line - very wet - until my husband buys the part and fixes it himself. I had my maytag for 25 years. An awesome, dependable machine that we laid to rest because of rust. We should have gotten another drum instead of buying this machine. Where are the engineers that are making dependable appliances to last a LONG time? We have not gotten smarter. Or we only care about the all mighty dollar. Make something to last a short time so that you have to buy again. We will do some extensive research the next time we buy a washing machine. Do not buy this machine!

This is a horrible washer. It leaves a white residue on dark clothing and the clothes need to be rehashed. There is water that settles in to the fabric softener dispenser. Now the washer is leaking. My husband replaced the tub seal or whatever since he found this could be the problem while searching the internet. It is still leaking and we have no idea from where the water is coming. I agree with the other person that the Whirlpool customer service cares not that theyve manufactured a defective product.

Hi team, I have to lodge this complaint after because of getting continuous problems I have suffered with my Whirlpool fully automatic washing machine top load 11 kg bloom wash 360 degree. I purchased the abovesaid brand new washing machine on 1st Jan 2017. Since the purchase I am struggling with this machine. I raised the fault in the beginning itself and the service was done on 5th of Feb. Jobs sheets enclosed here with.Similar issues kept on arising and whenever I raised those issues with the whirlpool team, they mentioned that company policy is to repair the faulty part if it’s in warranty and they will not replace. They suggested me to go for the AMC and to be on the safer side, I also took AMC under warranty period only. (AMC card - My cheque dates and service details all are mentioned onto it.) Recently I faced another issue on 26th Feb for which ticket was raised. Engineer visited on 27th Feb and advised us to replace the motor part. On 3rd March they replaced motor mechanism and ball-bearings. Then engineer advised us to check the working by giving a trial wash.I started the machine to wash clothes and after 20 mins machine started making abnormal noise. (I have made video of it, audio of the video captured the noise). I again called up the service engineer immediately and informed him about the voice coming out of machine and he gave a lame answer by saying “It is normal sound”. Then I again called Whirlpool and requested senior engineer visit to resolve the issue. Senior engineer visited and told us that one of motor screw wasn’t tighten properly. It opened while running the machine which completely damaged the motor.After that I am continuously calling to service centre to get the updates on my machine motor replacement. Finally they mentioned that they dont have motor part available with them due to company ceased this model productivity. When I raised this issue with the Whirlpool team they mentioned that they can only pay 40% of the machine value, because I had AMC. However, I did mention that this damage is caused by the negligence of their service engineer, but they didn’t discuss anything about it.When I continuously chased them they dropped me an email to refund only the 40% of the machine value. I feel cheated and harassed!! When I bought the machine they gave us 10 years warranty now they mention that motor is not available as it’s a 5 years old model. My grievance is that since I had already taken the AMC and the damage was also caused by their engineer, why I have to bear the loss. I have already struggled a lot with this machine since last 5 years from the day I bought this machine and now I am losing my hard earned money. Kindly do the needful. We have a Whirlpool French door refrigerator with freezer drawer in bottom that is 2 years old. It makes a loud buzzing noise and freezes up in back of the freezer, as in a defrost problem. We have had THREE repairmen here to fix the problem, and after $650 in parts and labor, the same problem exists. Finally we were told that this $170 beautiful Whirlpool refrigerator is deemed repairable and is junk. Whirlpool will not remedy the problem and three service techs cannot seem to repair it. I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product... EVER!

Does not get clothes clean. Period!! Takes just over 1hr. Noisy, lasted 3 1/2 years, transmission broke, take the warranty with a washer/dryer. Whirlpool was the top of the line, front loaders give less trouble, agitators clean better, go for the cheaper versions, our loaner Whirlpool, WTW4850H or WTW4950H washes quicker and cleaner than the Cabrio Energy Star.

This is the second time since I have bought my Whirlpool top loading washing machine, which was January 1, 2011. During a power outage, I was washing clothes and my machine lid would not unlock after our power came back on. I called the warranty service and they made arrangement for a repair man to come out to repair it, but the appointment was in two days. Meanwhile, I had clothes in the machine I needed and was afraid they would become molded and no good. So my husband opened the lid and I removed the clothes. When the repair man came, he was not going to repair the machine because we opened the lid. He was very rude, but after doing some talking he repaired the lid. Now, once again we had a power outage while I was washing clothes and the lid is locked on the washing machine and will not open. This happened Friday, March 16, 2012; my appointment for the repairman to come is Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Meanwhile, my clothes are sitting in the machine wet because we were told not to try to open the lid and wait for the repair service to come. I am very concerned my clothes will be molded and I will be unable to use them. I would never buy another washing machine like this one. Model number is WTW4800X, Standard/Ordinaire VOXr8ENA(3B). Whirlpool Washing Machine Model WTW4950XW0 - This washing machine was purchased as a gift by my father. We have owned this machine for about 2 years. I am very disappointed with the quality of this machine. I have 3 children and several pets. I use my machine a lot and need a quality item that will last. This machine is not that item. Within a few months, the machine was off balance and bolts had to be tightened. We have had problems with the belt, bolts coming loose and the machine not draining.More recently, the machine has become very loud... For approximately the last 6 months. My husband has taken the machine apart and looked for anything to be wrong with it and has found nothing. Now the machine is not running. I will turn it on and it fills with water and then stops. I will clear it out and restart it and it does the same thing. Another issue has been with spinning and draining. The clothes are soaking wet even after the drain/spin cycle.I have researched what could possibly be wrong with this machine and have found a vast number of items that could need replaced. With the money I have already put into fixing this machine in the past and the amount it will cost to fix it this time, I believe I will be further ahead if I buy a new machine made by a different company. I will not be buying a Whirlpool product again.

Bought Whirlpool Gold refrigerator, microwave, and stove. The bottom where the freezer is located leaks if you dont slam the drawer shut - many times leaking regardless. The microwave needs to be unplugged/reset about once a month or so because the power dies - light comes on, food rotates, no heat. And the small stove light indicating the burner is on for the front left burner suddenly doesnt light up. 0 for 3 on satisfaction. Appliances are 2-3 years old. Did not get extended warranty. Everyone tries to get you to buy but didnt realize I was buying junk. Will not recommend or buy this brand again.

For the last 5 years, 3 Whirlpool dishwashers. For these years been tracking to see how long they will work, but it seem like they are not build to satisfy the customer. Many telephone calls to service, but they will use the same lines, Nothing we can do... your extended warranty expired. From now on will look for a different brand.

Its big enough, but the ice maker is always messing up, the shelves broke easily, the water takes forever to get cold from the indoor dispenser. The finish, which is called Satina or something like that, dents real easy. It is really a piece of **! When it was new, we had the repair man out 4 times before it was fixed. He even said it was a piece of junk and it should be lemon lawed out. Drawers broke, shelves broke, and parts are really expensive when you break one of the plastic parts.

This microwave came with the apartment. Its the 2nd one we have had. The first one failed in our 3rd year here. We dont use all the functions, but what we have used, it works fine. Would I purchase this brand, no. I would choose GE, or Panasonic.

I purchased a washer from Whirlpool through Home Depot on August 7, 2014 and on Dec 31st, 2014 the washer broke. I called Home Depot and was told to call Whirlpool since I was still under a year warranty. After numerous calls I was referred to Advantage |Appliances, a company that provides repair services for Whirlpool. After a week the technician showed up and briefly inspects the machine to conclude that there were two problems with the machine: The controller is defective and there might be another problem since the water is not draining. An order was placed for the part and another week went by with still no part. I called the corporate office only to hear that it might take 5 to 7 days to receive it. In the meantime I had laundry piling up. I was forced to go to the laundromat with one arm in a cast and a painful lower back. I finally received the part on Friday and the technician arrived on Saturday to install the part and then announces that she was willing to fix the water pump but had to get paid in cash since this was not included in the warranty. Now mind you! This woman knew about the problem from her last visit but made believe that it wasnt a problem. Advantage Appliance makes money by extorting their customers out of money. This young lady stood there without blinking asking me to pay her $89.50 to do the job she was suppose to do in the first place. I purchased an extended warranty from Home Depot only to find out that they would not be able to do anything since I was still under warranty. I have never been so angry and want Whirlpool to take responsibility. I am sitting with a washer half full with water and no one is stepping up to do something! Whirlpool is disgusting! The corporate office was not friendly or nice about this situation. They dont care! Why do businesses like Whirlpool get away with this? This is not acceptable.

I purchased this heater in 2009. I have had so much problems with the pilot staying lit or the thermocouple. Had to have that changed, have to clean under heater monthly. I have called Whirlpool numerous times because the pilot light goes out. Now I have a problem with it staying lit. Whirlpool tells me I have to pay for service labor. They sent out a technician who broke the igniter and I am being told I have to pay labor cost to have this fixed. THEIR TECHNICIAN BROKE THE IGNITER BUT THEY WANT ME TO PAY THE LABOR COST TO FIX WHAT HE BROKE. I have had it with Whirlpool. This heater is a piece of garbage as far as I am concerned. I am tired of having no hot water.

August 26th 2014 purchased a NG (NO GOOD actually natural gas) Whirlpool water heater from Lowes. Model No. N40561-403. Installed it and everything was fine until this morning August 29th 2014. The indicator light was out and so was the pilot. Tried to light it without success. Called Whirlpool and they are sending me a new controller that now needs to be installed. Called Lowes and they will not take it back. Wish I would have found this site prior to this costly fiasco. Waiting on part now and I will keep you informed as to my progress. I have a feeling this is going to be 2 days wasted and $367.00.

I have owned a Whirlpool Cabrio HE WTW6400SW3 for two years and have had nothing but issues from the start. Control panel was replaced twice under warranty. Also the clothes (socks underwear) were under the tub blocking the drain. This is not covered under the warranty. I was told by the repairman that this is the usual issue. He told me they took the front loader design and just stood it up with no protection from garments and coins getting under the tub, through the under tub filter often and into the drain pump. You are kidding me? Almost $1000 for this washer and its so ill designed. I have read forums that this has been an ongoing issue for several years yet Whirlpool continues to build these. I dont vent to forums often but just now I finished removing the tub to remove 2 socks and 7 cents. Also, I had to remove the drain pump and found another 16 cents inside it. So far the pump has not been ruined but this time water is coming out from the machine so will probably be ordering another pump for it as well. The wife wants it out of the house tomorrow and not another cent spent on it. But it is only two years old. What do you do? If you are reading this because you are searching for a new washer do not purchase a Whirlpool! I have gotten nothing but grief and was put off by their customer service dept as well. I guess after fielding so many calls about the same thing they have been told to just put all the calls off as no big deal. I am sure Whirlpool is making a killing off the sales on this unit. The claims made during the sale convinced me. What a joke. Look around the internet and you will find hundreds if not thousands of the same issues.

I Bought the Whirlpool Duet Steam Mod#: WFW95HEDC0 in 2015. I have always wondered how a machine can get clothes clean with less water but liked the idea of the energy star and saving water. However, I found that I was right and the clothes do not get very clean. They do not even get all wet hence the dry feeling when they are done. I just recently got a little frustrated at having to rewash some things by hand afterwards. I started to pretreat and wash out stains by hand beforehand. That helped some. I finally stopped the machine after all the water was done filling it and it tumbled a bit. It looked like it was wet from the window but when I dug through the clothes I pulled out a t-shirt that was almost bone dry. Some of the other thicker clothes like jeans etc. had a lot of dry spots too. This is why the odors don’t come out and why spots and lines are left where the dry meets the wet. There just isn’t enough water get all the material wet. I then proceeded to pour a pail of water in to get all the clothes wet. When I started it back up, it drained some of the water and I still had the problem. So now I get all the clothes wet in the sink before I put them in the washer. It’s amazing how clean they got and they didn’t have the body odors either. I think this machine would be fine if it could be reprogrammed to add more water for cycles. I know that would change the “Energy Star” but this water saving idea is bogus if we have to rewash and add more water to the cycles. At this point I will be looking for a new machine that doesn’t have the energy star but allows me to adjust the water myself. I do not trust these machines anymore.

I have had my Whirlpool refrigerator 14 years and have had service on it only 1 time, for the ice maker. I have had a fridge where the compressor went out twice. Dont remember the brand but do remember the experience.

I had bought from S C Shah & Co, Mylapore a Whirlpool ac 1 ton split magicool dlx cop in March 2016 and installed in March 29 2016 by Cool Control System, kodambakkam From the installation period we had a cooling issue and informed Shah & Co, Mylapore where we bought the ac. They came and checked and informed Whirlpool customer care. Within two months i.e. in May 2016 of installation Whirlpool again uploaded/charged the gas (the service engineers told us this is due to hot summer). Though again we had a cooling issue, we were under the impression as this is due to summer as explained by the technician. After that rainy season came and we didnt use the ac.As we are in December when we complained Whirlpool they said this is due to the copper wire gas is leaking and it has to be replaced and informed that though under WARRANTY, the customer has to pay for replacement (we have used only the 3 mtr copper wire which came with the ac only. we have not used any our own copper wire). Whether WHIRLPOOL GIVES SUCH A QUALITY COPPER WIRE which has to be replaced within 9 months. Now they are informing that you are calling us after 6 months of gas charging, so we cannot service. If you could have called within 3 months we could have serviced you. BUT WE ARE UNDER WARRANTY. NOT EVEN AN YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.Not responding to calls, disconnecting to the calls even if we call their Delhi number 011-49308500. Though under warranty they are not ready to do service and very rude saying, we cant do anything. So, if we buy WHIRLPOOL ac we have to beg them even for their technicians to visit our place. Or we have to do our own service EVEN UNDER WARRANTY. Their local toll free customer care numbers/service executives always give a recorded message saying they cannot service. SUCH A PATHETIC SERVICE.

The dishwasher is less than 2 years old, out of warranty, and will not start. The repairman said the problem is in the electronics. It would cost $500+ to repair.

We purchased Whirlpool Cabrio 8.8 cubic ft Electric Dryer with Steam Cycles (Chrome Shadow) Energy Star Model WED8500DC and Whirlpool Cabrio 5.3 cubic ft High-Efficiency Top-Load Washer with Steam Cycle Model WTW8500DC and have had no issues at all, only personal issues, such as me being 54 tall and cant reach the bottom of the washer tub to take out all my clothes, so my husband helps, he is 5 9 tall and can reach in it fine, so we do laundry together now! We have washed very small loads to large loads such as, bedding sets without any issues at all. We love the gorgeous look as well. We have only owned these since November 2015... so about 4 months now, but we are completely satisfied! We have always owned Whirlpool, our old set we bought in 1998 and they finally gave out in 2015! Whirlpool for life for us!

I paid ~$1200 for a new Whirlpool (French door top fridge and pull out freezer bottom) 7 years ago when I bought my house. I was so excited - and the appliance has been a problem from the beginning. It has always made a very loud knocking noise - even when it was new. I was told by the technician there was nothing he could do and Home Depot wouldnt help me with it either. My freezer has gone out three times - the last time was the day before Christmas Eve 2016 (a few days ago). I lost everything for my Christmas dinner that was in my fridge because that went first.Then when the service man came today, I was told it was the freezer that is causing the problem and everything had to be defrosted - plus they had to order a part that would take 3 to 5 days - so Im now going to lose everything in my freezer as well. All in all with the three service calls and the food I have lost probably amounts to around $800 - $900. I am so upset and cannot get any help from anyone. So, Im just warning you - NEVER buy a Whirlpool!

Whirlpool Duet - they are highly rated and are aesthetically pleasing. Highly rated, they are expensive, my last Duet w/d didnt last as long as expected. Ive had to repair both machines once since I purchased them. Good quality is of utmost importance, plenty of washing and drying options, front loading washing machine, full size extra large capacity, attractive machines, good reputation for quality and lack of repairs.

Whirlpool ED5FVGXWS refrigerator compressor failed after 24 months. No help from Whirlpool as the said 12-month warranty had run out. I do understand it’s my bad luck, but they really should try harder to back the products they make. Two years on a compressor is totally unacceptable. They could care less. I even proposed a $200 rebate on a new Whirlpool fridge. My bad luck wasn’t the compressor going out, it was buying the fridge in the first place. Shame on you Whirlpool! Viva la Mexico! They told me I could use it as a boat anchor.

We bought our washer, dryer, stove, microwave, and dishwasher in September of 2010. In 3 years we have had to replace our Whirlpool over the stove venting microwave, have spent over $550.00 on repairs on the Whirlpool refrigerator, and now have to replace our Whirlpool Cabrio washer. This of course does not include our time, effort & frustrations, especially with Whirlpool customer service. Will NEVER buy Whirlpool again. Were all for a class action lawsuit.

Have to keep coins collecting in pump and ruins pump or starts leaking. I feel there is another way it could be solved. I spent enough for this washer. Now I fix that. Now it leaks on discharge hose. Hard to stop it. Like old washer worked lot better all round. Never had that trouble. 4yrs old 1,200.00 plus cost sending somebody out to fix it. Crazy! This happen more than one time with this machine. Thank you.

I was searching online and stumbled across this site. Funny that there were so many complaints about the console on the ovens, considering that my issue was with the console on a dryer I purchased. I have only had the dryer a year, and it stopped working. There is nothing else wrong with it, no codes, no problems with the lights, or anything else. A technician came out and found that it was a small plastic and metal button piece that helps the press here: spot on the dryer panel to connect to the start button on the console. The little arm had broken and the switch no longer worked.Figured we would have to purchase a new button. NOPE, apparently we were told that we had to purchase a new console (over $200 dollars, close to $300 with shipping)???!!! We were also told that wear and tear can cause the issue. Wear and tear?? On a dryer thats maybe run once a week for about a year? Try again, I think I need my boots because it sounds like horse** to me. I think I will pass this information along to people I know that are technicians so that they can let people know not to purchase from this company because they obviously arent going to address the situation. I think I might also utilize social media to let people know so that they dont have to go through this much aggravation. I certainly dont know what we are going to do, since it took me a year to pay that dryer off, I cant afford another dryer at this time. So unfortunately with a new baby on the way, you wont get any sympathy from me if your company takes a character hit.

I purchased Whirlpool Duet HT front-load washing machine with model #GHW9400PLO. After a year of owning the product, failure codes continued to appear. I have followed the direction under the troubleshooting page which said to cancel and unplug the unit. After doing this over and over, I finally took the top lid off to inspect the problem. A ribbon cable was torn due to the top lid rubbing against the lid and the drum. I called Whirlpool and this was not covered (go figure). I then asked for the ribbon cable and they said they cannot just supply the ribbon cable and that I would have to buy the user interface which is $191 plus a $35 core fee because they re-bill them. What a rip off. A ribbon cable from a computer store would only cost $10.00. After that repair the Micro Machine control went out which is code F11. Code F11 is all over the web because this is a defective part that Whirlpool should do a recall on but why do that when they can charge $310 plus, get this another $35 core charge because they re-bill them? If you are not mechanically inclined with these parts plus labor you could have bought 2 washing machines. But who in the world would buy 2 pieces of junk right?Bottom line is: do your research and buy from a company that will stand behind their product because Whirlpool will not! They know by the number of parts they ship out that that part should be recalled.

We bought a Whirlpool microwave model # GH7208XRY4 at the Habitat For Humanity store. It was brand new still in the unopened box with the warranty card in the box. The box was undamaged and in perfect shape. We loved this microwave until six months later, it started to throw a code F6 and wouldnt work - it wouldnt turn on or off and we couldnt use it at all. Since this is an under the cabinet model, it was a little hard to uninstall it as its a built-in. I called the customer service center and they dont cover it because the ordinal purchase date was 2012, we bought it in Oct 2014. I guess someone bought it in 2012. They say that since the ordinal purchase date was 2012, they dont warranty. They also said because I had bought it from the ReStore, it was a donated item and would cover it. I told them the box was unopened and it worked for several months, so their stand was it might have been damaged when I bought it. Again I told them it worked for 6 months, so how could it have been damaged when I bought it? They were very unhelpful.

Ive always had good luck with Whirlpool. They last longer & dont have as many repairs. Ive had to have a lot of repairs with Maytag washers. The dryers didnt give any trouble. I recommend Whirlpool.

Whirlpool cabrio wtw7800xwo - During the 12th month of the use of this washer, the lid broke. I called Whirlpool to schedule a repair on it. I got someone here to repair it, and it was 7 days over the 1 year warranty. I don’t think this is fair when they sent the repair guy out too late when I scheduled this right before the 1 year was up. I came about looking this up online, and I find I’m not the only one with a 1 year lid. My next washer will be a 1980s built to last. This was the worst $1,100 I ever spent. I had to choose 1 star. Wish it had a choice of - ★★★★★.

Cabrio - In Dec 2013: Ran the Clean washer cycle and it would not cut off. I had to shut off manually. Called the company and they sent a technician, who said he fixed it and that everything was good. Fast forward to Feb 2015: Tried cleaning the washer again. When I left the house there were 10 minutes left in the cycle. When I arrived home 7 hrs later, the washer was still running and my hot water heater had cut off. I had to reset via the circuit breaker. This will be my last Whirlpool appliance for a long while.

Purchased a NEW Whirlpool side by side refrigerator (WRS965CIA) and it was delivered on 2-3-14 with a dent in the door. The retail store ordered a replacement door and this order was approved by Whirlpool. 4 months later, I still dont have the door. My 8 calls to the retail store say that Whirlpools Trade partner is not returning their calls or emails to get this resolved. My contact with Whirlpool was met with contact your Trade Partner. Vicious cycle and still no replacement door.

This diswasher is streamlined and elegantly desiged for any kitchen. It stays externally clean with easy to wipe surfaces. Easy to use controls on the top of the door that cannot be accidentally hit when walking by the item. Plenty of internal space for lots of dishes. Internal silverware rack is easily removalble and not in the way of dishes. It is extremely quiet when running, like a soft hum in the air. A real "bang for your buck".

A Whirlpool dishwasher was installed by Skyline, a modular home manufacturer, and we occupied the house on August 21, 2014. The appliance never worked and Whirlpool sent repairmen 9 times over 9 months to either repair or determine if it should be replaced. It washed the dishes exactly 4 times in that time. Complaining to Whirlpool only caused a supervisor to scream at my wife that we were the cause of the malfunction. Nearly every part was replaced & they still refused to exchange it for a replacement new one. The modular home manufacturer received the same treatment appealing for us.

I bought this Whirlpool Duet Sport washer and dryer, and I have had to constantly bleach out because our laundry smells like mold. I found out that Tide sells a special cleanser for this washer so I have been using that for the past two years. It did not really help. Well, today I accidentally put laundry soap in the wrong dispenser, so I took the dispenser out and was horrified to find mold that was all in the back where the fluid is dispensed, I mean way back in there. I have been suffering with sinus problems, and swelling in my eyes and face. I even went to the doctor, but no one has figured out why. I now know it is the mold from my washer making me sick. Well, my son and daughter-in-law were staying with me, and commented on how bad it was when they used my towels. I am stuck with a $1,600 washer and dryer that is making my family sick.

Bought this fridge at Best Buy because it was beautiful and thought it would go perfect in my new home. We allowed the fridge to regulate for 72 hours (even though it only needs 24) and it didnt cool properly or make ice. 3 calls later to the 800 number (along with three scheduled repair visits) and Im getting the run-around. 1st excuse was that I needed to order parts. 2nd excuse was that it was a bad sensor due to the manufacturer. The 3rd excuse was that the fridge door wasnt aligned properly, thus not sealing properly and not allowing the fridge to regulate, which causes it to freeze over. My ice maker also hasnt worked once in this entire ordeal. The issue still isnt resolved and I am vowing to never spend thousands of dollars on this brand again. Spare yourself the headache and go with a less glitzy, more trusted brand.

After having the ice maker replaced on our 14-month old Whirlpool refrigerator, things seemed to be working fine for a while. However, now there are puddles appearing on the floor in front of the refrigerator. This is a freezer-on-the-bottom model and the ice maker is at the top so I was fairly certain it has nothing to do with the ice maker. Turns out there is something dripping into the back of the freezer and over time it builds up a giant ice sheet on the bottom of the freezer compartment. When the ice sheet gets large enough, the dripping water flows out onto the floor. Now Im going in every couple of weeks and chipping the big ice sheet off the bottom so it will stop leaking for several weeks. When I see puddles in front of our refrigerator I know its time to go chip the ice sheet out again. Seriously, I dont think Ive ever had a brand new, and expensive, appliance perform so badly. Whirlpool... never again.

I had the first microwave for 6 years. My husband messed it up so got a new one, same over the stove type. It has lots of programs. Its a rather large microwave, plus it has a steamer which cooks vegetables with steam while I am doing the rest of the meal and whats more important is its quiet. The site is fantastic not just in width but in depth. The best thing about this microwave too is that it has a frozen cycle which does not partially cook the food like most microwaves and the defrost is the same, it does not partially cook it actually defrosts completely without cooking it. This is by far the best microwave I have ever had, and I wouldnt want any other brand. It might cost a little more than the usual brands but its worth it. I also have a mini Whirlpool on my Countertop for my grandchild to use so he keeps away from stovetop at all times.

Got the dreaded 4 flashes LED status - High Temperature Shutdown. Online and vendor documentation says that this condition requires gas valve unit replacement, a $115 option. If your Pilot remains burning, but main burner does not kick in, then a good guess is the circuit board requires a reset. Prior to any further work, test the Thermopile, that is the round item with two blades located below and to the right of the gas valve unit. Move knob on control panel to OFF1) Pull out plug with red and white wires located on front of gas control. 2) Have someone Hold in the control knob on the unit at Pilot, and make sure Pilot flame is burning. 3) Using a multi-meter, set it to millivolt reading, and test voltage across the two wires. Voltage should be greater than 350mV, preferably >500mV. 4) If you get a reading in that range, your Thermopile is good. Turn knob to off position. Do NOT uncouple gas lines. 5) Piezo Igniter wire comes apart, disconnect it. 6) Remove screw that holds front cover. (screw located bottom left as you look at the unit) 7)Cover simply pulls off directly towards you. 8)Remove the screw holding the circuit board to the cover, and remove circuit board by unclipping it - 3 clips, one either side and one at bottom. 9) Unplug the 3 strand thermostat cable, you should now have the circuit board clear. 10) Take a piece of aluminum foil, fold it twice, then lay circuit board on it facing up, do it on top of tank, want it grounded. 11)Using one of the multimeter probes, wrap a piece of foil around it, keeping point free, and ground it too. Then slowly work around the board, touching all the solder connections you see, as well as the chip legs. Pay particular attention to the round objects on the board (capacitors), make sure to ground out each of the solder points, visible either side. (takes about 5- 8 minutes, take your time) 12) Once done, reconnect thermostat cable to board, then reinstall board into cover (dont forget the screw)13) Place cover back into place, screw in cover screw, reattach Piezo wire and black electrical plug with thermopile wires. 14) set Knob to Pilot, get pilot lit (may take a few hits on the Piezo button) and while still holding the knob in, watch to see what LED flashes you get (there will be a 10 second time lapse before it will start to flash) 15) You should either get 1 flash or 7 flashes, that means the board is reset, now turn knob to warm, and see if main burner kicks in. Good luck, and for a half hours work you have saved yourself $$$. PS: If it occurs again, you have sediment build up, need to drain the tank.

The Cabrio is the absolute worst washer that Ive ever owned! No matter what combination of setting I use, my clothes come out dingy, all twisted and wrinkled, and full of lint and detergent residue (I use liquid detergent made specifically for HE washers). Every setting runs for over an hour. So much for high efficiency! What it saves on water it more than wastes on electricity!! More often than not, the entire load becomes enveloped in one of the items to create one huge ball. A t-shirt stretched to encompass the remaining clothes into a perfect sphere! When that happens, some of the laundry in the middle of the big ball is barely damp. The dryer is just as bad, even the towels come out wrinkled. How is that possible? And again, it takes over an hour to dry a load.Whirlpool customer service is awful. When I called to complain, the agent began schooling me on how to wash clothes. Im 66 years old, Ive washed a few clothes in my lifetime and have always prided myself in my white whites and bright colors. I have a new house and the builder provided all the appliances. Based on my past negative experience with Whirlpool products and their customer service, I would not have purchased Whirlpool.

Our recently purchased stove top is an average appliance. The surface is easily scratched just from paper towels when cleaning. Today for no apparent reason the igniters all started firing and continued for a good hour....I would definitely investigate other brands before purchasing again.

I have had our new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer for about a year. I absolutely hate it. I along with all the other people that is complaining about their Cabrio. I have found it to stain my clothes, not get them clean... Sometimes not even get part of them wet. I wash every load now no matter how small on the deep water option. I still have to add about 3 to 6 gals of water after it fills to try to help them get as clean as I possible can. I have stopped using fabric softener because I believe that is what may be leaving the stains on the clothes because it doesnt dilute it. Also you cant soak clothes in the washer long enough. I know it offers a presoak but when the clothes are not getting wet... That is not soaking. I tried to fill it up and raise the lid so it wouldnt wash until I was ready for it to wash but it automatically emptied the tub after a short time.It is funny watching the clothes when washing... Even I could tell they were not going to be washed well. I thought who in the world developed this washer. Certainly no one that had ever really considered what women need to wash clothes on a daily basis. I would sell it but I dont think anyone would buy it. If there is a class action suit I would consider joining in. Whirlpool could not have spent much effort in checking this washer out. A lot of money down the drain. I did not buy the dryer because of the lint vent being on top of it. What a mess those make when you have to empty it. So I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL. Now that is a wonderful dryer! As one homemaker to another I suggest you check it out. Never had one I liked more.

We contacted Whirlpool different times. I hate this piece of junk refrigerator. But Whirlpool never cared. My husband and I both did 20 years in the Navy active duty and reserves. 20 years each. Do you think we could have gotten some response other than a worthless sorry. To the Whirlpool CEO when you ever get some kind of compassion please us a real refrigerator that works and has some real room in it. I hate this thing and I hate not having an ice maker that works. I have had my refrigerator for more than 10 years. It is a standard refrigerator with no extras and I have never had any problems with it. I think things that dont have too many extra built into them are better with not so many things to break down.

I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher from Lowes and it has never worked properly ever since. It has been a little over a year now and it will not drain, will not wash dishes, and it stinks so bad that you cant drink out of the glasses. Its a total piece of junk. I called the manager at Lowes and explained all the problems. He said that he would see what he could do. I left three phone numbers but he never even bothered to call back. I will never buy anything from Lowes again.

This oven/range (W10665261B) has a cleaning feature that DOES NOT WORK! Do not buy unless you want to hand scrub the oven without any cleaning products. No one at the company cares. I will discard the oven.

Let me just start by saying I have multiple Whirlpool appliances, and I have always bought Whirlpool appliances in the past. I bought a refrigerator 3 months ago, and it quit working. So, I called Whirlpool to come service it. The service repairman said someone left the freezer door open and it froze up. Two days later, I had to call them back again, because now, the fridge part was not keeping food cold. He came back out and told me it was the compressor. I then in return called Whirlpool that afternoon, and they refused to replace it saying they had to follow their Warranty Policy and they would call me back on Wednesday. They did call back on Wednesday and told me they had located the part. I got a call on Tuesday of the following week and was informed they could not locate the part. I called Whirlpool the next day, and they told me they would have to send it to their Exchange department for review and I would hear back from them in 3 business days. I asked for them to rush my request, but they told they have no way of doing that. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again!

Having multiple apartments I have some experience with water heaters, with that being said, old school water heaters would last 30 years with basically no maintenance. Since those old, manual no BS flashing light codes were replaced with Whirlpool brand, I see constant problems. Honeywell valve/motherboards was the worst thing that could have been put on any equipment. More or less they all failed within few months past warranty expiration date. Replacement part is cost almost half of what brand new product costs. When called customer service, they are aware of said problem but will not help, or recall above product. There are plenty of videos and forums of people complaining about the same issue. Being poorly treated by customer service, I know that I will no longer be spending my money on whirlpool brand. 3 years off of the water heater is a joke.

This refrigerator is only days old and I realize the mistake that was made in buying it- it is far too noisy! When it is running I can hear it in my basement- sounds like a car in my driveway idling with no muffler!!! And when it stops running, it gurgles loudly for 10-15 seconds. Dont even start on the door being hard to pull open after the door was recently opened.

My ice maker and freezer on my Whirlpool WRF989SDAM00 refrigerator stopped working 3 days out of warranty. Repairs to run around $800. Is Whirlpool making disposable appliances? Theres a reason foreign appliances and electronics are bought in record numbers. Whirlpool is a disappointing Made in America product.

We purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher in August of 2014 (Model #WDT710PAYM6) and it broke for the first time in the summertime of 2015, so it was still under warranty. The manufacturer set us up with a local company to fix it. First of all, the guy comes out to look at it and has no parts with him whatsoever to fix it once he figures out the problem. So we ended up waiting for over a month before our dishwasher was fixed. That is a long time to have to hand wash dishes, especially with the amount that we go through each day. I know that ranting about having to hand wash dishes is such a first world problem thing to complain about, but my gosh...if I buy a brand new dishwasher for a good amount of money, I shouldnt have to hand wash my stupid dishes!!It has now broken AGAIN and it is no longer under warranty. We called Whirlpool to see what they could do because it should not be breaking this often. They told us we could either spend $250 for a years worth of maintenance on it, or just pay out of pocket. So you want me to pay $250 or more to fix a dishwasher that we spent over $400 on that has broken twice in a year??? Ive been looking on their website for this model to leave a review and cannot find it, so that leads me to believe that it is discontinued. So thank you, Whirlpool for the piece-of-crap dishwasher. I can see you really take care of your customers when they call about their concerns too. I will NEVER buy any Whirlpool appliance again, and I will be sure to let all of my friends know they shouldnt either. If I could rate this with negative stars I would. So now we have to go out and purchase another dishwasher. Thank God Cyber Monday is here. So I cannot say it enough, do not, do not, do not buy a Whirlpool. If you do, youll find its actually a Whirl-poo, because its a POS.

Terrible wash machine. Some clothes come out having never even gotten wet. The spin cycle ties your clothes in knots so bad you have to machine dry them because the wrinkles are ridiculous. I’m all for saving water but if your clothes don’t get wet, how are they going to get clean? Also can’t do just a rinse and spin cycle. I would rate zero stars if I could. Don’t waste your money on this junk! Wish I could buy an old fashioned Maytag. Those washers were the best!

Bought appliance (Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator Freezer) in 2014. The seal that closes all the brackets with screws and you had to hand guide it to close. Then the freezer got out of alignment and wouldnt close and seal. Ice built up behind drawer which prohibited the opening of freezer drawer. Wouldnt open more than 5 inches on one side and 3 inches on the other. Had service tech out. Cost almost $200. Did not get French doors repaired because the part cost over $125. Less than a year later I have to have a repairman back out for same problem with the freezer door and ice build up. Not happy.

DOES NOT MEET CONSUMER NEEDS AS PROMISED. I wish I read the reviews. Very expensive machine I purchased specifically for the large drum for large loads. The machine cannot handle large loads (if you consider one blanket large load). I have to unplug the machine mid wash, as the load gets stuck on one side and moves my machine across the floor. The noise in the spin cycle with even small amount of laundry sounds like a helicopter is about to land. Then last night I noticed black oil splattered all over my floor. This is a $800.00 machine. Never ever met my exceptions as the machine promised to deliver. Theres very little water that enters the drum... Not even my towels come out clean. DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL... EVER EVER EVER.

I bought this top loading, low water machine 1.5 years ago, $500.00, did not buy extended warranty, expect major appliance to last at least 5 years. Motherboard is out, will not spin, will cost at least 200 to $300 to get it fixed! Selling on Craigslist for 50. So sad. Will never buy whirlpool again, waste of hard earned money!

We bought a Whirlpool range with glass cooktop and convection oven to replace a 20 year old stove which had served us reliably but was beginning to look a bit dated and worse for the wear. The new range was installed in February, less than 2 months ago. Today, while I was preparing Easter dinner and had a ham in the oven, the cooktop elements refused to heat, even though the cooktop on light was lit up. We followed all the troubleshooting tips we could find in the user manual and online, but nothing worked. We decided to do the rest of the meal in the microwave and just finish the ham in the oven (which had been working). Then the oven failed, and would not heat back up.As a last resort, we pulled the range out and unplugged it, to perform a hard reset of the electronics. (This was recommended in some of the online troubleshooting tips.) No joy. Both the oven and cooktop elements will not heat, even though the lights on the control panel light up. Now we have to call a service technician to come fix it in the middle of a pandemic. How can a brand new and expensive range be less reliable and less useful than the cheap 20 year old stove we just got rid of?

Two months ago, I bought a Whirlpool duet washer and the computer went out, two days after the warranty was up. It went bad that I disconnected the detergent mechanism, which made it work, for now.

This is a great choice if you like a drawer for a freezer. It’s double door. The racks are easily moved. There’s are drawers for beverages and cheeses and vegetables. One downfall is replacing water filter cartridge every couple months and freezer could be set up a little better so you don’t have to pack things on top of each other.

I posted about our problem with the Whirlpool water heater on the 20th. Chris ** of Whirlpool called me back. He totally took care of the problem and got us back working. After 3 years, our problem is resolved. I am grateful to Chris for finally resolving the problem. He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Thank you.

I will never buy another Whirlpool again or recommend them to anyone, and discourage anyone from buying one. I bought a Cabrio washing machine just over 2 years ago and yesterday I received an F51 error code. The manual says that this code requires a technician to come a check for repairs. Well, before I do anything I google the problem, and lo and behold there are thousands of complaints about this issue with the Cabrio models. Some saying that what needed to be replaced were a control board ($280) and a rotor (unknown amount), not including the price of labor. Some said that Whirlpool knows about this problem and they covered the parts and repair. This didnt get my hopes up, but I called customer service and of course they said that there were no reported issues with the model and that what I found on the internet was probably an older model. Of course! The lady on the phone told me that they would not cover the costs and it would be anywhere from $300 to $500 depending on the route I wanted to take. That is a 1/3 to 1/2 the price I paid for the machine. This is ridiculous! I am tempted to just get rid of the washer and go with a better company that actually cares about their customers. This error code was definitely something they know is a big deal if there was nothing I could do about it other than call a technician. I paid almost $1000 for a machine that has barely lasted 2 years before I have to pay money to have it fixed. Not a company I would ever purchase anything from again!

I bought all new Whirlpool appliances for my house. After three years, the dishwasher is now broken and the washing machine is now broken as well. The refrigerator has had service two times in the past three years. The only thing that works is the stove that I bought. Whirlpool is all junk.

Bought a new Cabrio, worked ok but in less than 2 yrs the bearing is bad. It will cost almost as much to repair as a new washer. Will never buy a Whirlpool product again. Would give negative rate!

I bought a Whirlpool washing machine, model WTW4855HW, and was I ever shocked at how noisy it was. The wash cycle had a grinding noise that was just too much. After 2 loads I sent it back and didnt regret having to pay the restocking fee. I just couldnt believe that with all the technology we have today, that they couldnt build a quiet machine. Im an engineer so I know there are methods through gearing, belts, soundproofing, etc, to produce a quiet machine. Remember the dishwasher of days gone by. You couldnt watch TV with the dishwasher going. Nowadays, you can stand in the kitchen and have a nice conversation with it running. The technology exists. As a matter of a fact, my old Maytag that finally went bad after 10 years was fairly quiet. So, if you dont have your washing machine in the garage or basement room where you can close the door, dont buy this machine! Bruce in Portland

My dog is afraid to be anywhere near my Whirlpool side by side fridge. It makes horrible noises every 15 minutes to half an hour. I have to coax her to even let me escort her past. It has been snap crackling pop for several weeks and is getting louder with thumps and clangs. It does sound like the devil inside. Appears to be coming from the freezer side.I do not have the ice maker hooked up . It is plumbed for an ice maker but the servicemen who delivered it advised me they didnt do that . I didnt have the money to hire a plumber. The fridge was a PG& Energy Partners project in which those of certain age and income levels were presented new energy savers in exchange for old ones.Wish Id have kept the old one, especially after reading comments here. A senior, I live by myself in a fairly isolated area. I wonder now if the noise means a fire or electrical problem is imminent. My model number: ED2KVE*V*O, ED2FHE*V*O*

KitchenAid double oven glass exploded during the self-clean cycle. The oven was purchased on 9-20-11 and the glass exploded on 11-30-11 during the first-use of the self-cleaning cycle. The cavity was damaged with dents and shards of glass from the explosion. Unfortunately, the warranty for KitchenAid is replacement of parts and repair only. Nicole, supervisor at Whirlpool, offered to extend the warranty 6 months. Then I was somehow disconnected from the call.

Do NOT buy the Whirlpool Cabrio washer...it doesnt actually wash your clothes! Most clothing still half dry after the wash (didnt get any water on them) and they are still smelling sweat after the wash! Also doesnt clean basic stains that others washers clean. Even if you add water manually to the washer to soak your clothes, the clothes on top wont be agitated at all, hence the reason the clothes are still dirty after a wash. Poorly engineered washer... its a lemon as it doesnt do what it is supposed to do (wash clothes). Biggest scam ever from Whirlpool and shouldnt be allowed to be sold to consumers anymore!

I purchased this fridge in February 2015. In August, the handle on the fridge door broke. I called for a replacement on 8/7, on 9/14/15 I received it. It broke on 10/3/15 and had a replacement on 10/13/15. It broke again on 12/26/15. I called for a replacement. I should get it in 10 days. Obviously, there is a flaw in their design. What bothers me is that no one seems to care. I will hope I never have to buy a Whirlpool product again. And I will certainly discourage anyone I know who is thinking about buying their products. I purchased this product at Lowes and they did not care when I went to them.

Whirlpool Refrigerator Model WRX9885IBM01 French Doors - We purchased this $2,000+ dollar refrigerator in December of 2014 and within two weeks of plugging it in, we noticed the freezer drawer was crooked and ice crystals in the freezer compartment. We contacted Whirlpool re the matter and they dispatched a local serviceman. He informed us that the inner lining of the refrigerator was crooked and he contacted Whirlpool. He sent pictures of the crooked drawers and was advised by Whirlpool to adjust the outside door, but nothing could be done for the inside crookedness and that he was to take silicone and seal the refrigerator to prevent air coming in to create the ice... Really? We told him that was merely a Band-Aid to the problems and we wanted a replacement. According to Whirlpool, they can only service our month old refrigerator and cannot replace it.Actually, they cannot even service the defective product they sell, they can only caulk the problem until it comes again. I am not going to stop until everybody in the country buying a refrigerator thinks first about the warranty Whirlpool offers. After reading defective parts, etc., I am amazed they are still in business! We are contacting Lowes to come pick it up! Let them deal with the garbage they are selling!

I purchased a Whirlpool wash machine and dryer from Home Depot 3 years ago. From the outset we had problems with both units. Wash machine spin cycle does not work properly, and that causes a problem with getting clothes dry. Some soiled clothes will not clean properly and have to be hand washed. Dryer rarely works on one cycle, towels and bed sheets have to be run through a second cycle. These are NOT energy savers. Garbage product, I will never buy Whirlpool again.

After proudly bringing home a new Whirlpool gas hot water heater NU40T61-403 day 2 no hot water. Wait 10 min and reset. This became a 3 times a week habit and now it will not relight. The repairman they sent out wanted us to rebuild our house to conform to code. Our old heater worked fine in this location. After talking to their tech, they sent us new parts overnight. Still cannot get this thing to light. All we want is hot water!!! Calls to the tech line end one way, it has to be your fault. I worked for The Gas Company!

I have bought and used other dishwashers (different brands). They lacked quality, quiet operation and efficiently and effectively cleaning dishes, pots and silverware! My Whirlpool dishwasher is far better than all of them. It cleans and makes my dishes sparkle. I would not buy anything but Whirlpool in the future.

I purchased the GBS309PVS single oven in Dec. 09 along with a Whirlpool Gold microwave, dishwasher, and stove top. The oven was dented and scratched, so another one was delivered on 1/10/10. I finally decided to use the cleaning cycle in Oct. 10. It burned out the circuit board and something else. It was under warranty and repaired. I was afraid to use it again, but tried it yesterday, 12/27/2011. It smelled horrible, knocked the power out of the oven, and the door will not unlock. Customer service was not very kind and said that I had to purchase a $269 warranty and they would send someone out. I did, unwillingly. Well see what happens on Friday. If this is not resolved, I will go further. This is a faulty part of the manufacturing and should be handled as so.

We bought a washer in Sept. 2014 and it was used for 4 months before we left and went south for the winter. When we came back in May, we started hearing a loud banging noise so we notified Whirlpool since we were still under warranty. They sent a repairman and he said he needed to take the washer in so he could repair it. They have sent the part out 3 times and they said it was chipped or cracked so another would need to be sent. This has been going on for 2 months that weve been without the washer and today we checked and supposedly another part should be coming. They tell us our warranty is only for parts and labor not replacement. Help would be appreciated. Thank you.
